- 0:00SPEAKER_04: Good evening.
- 0:00SPEAKER_04: Good evening, Skip.
- 0:01SPEAKER_04: Good evening, Chris.
- 0:02SPEAKER_04: How are you?
- 0:02SPEAKER_04: We've got it good tonight.
- 0:04SPEAKER_04: We are West Silith Motors as Box.
- 0:08SPEAKER_04: That was hard to say actually.
- 0:09SPEAKER_04: West Silith Motors Box.
- 0:11SPEAKER_04: Mark Orchard, very generously.
- 0:13SPEAKER_04: He's away in Florida.
- 0:15SPEAKER_04: Has let us have his box tonight.
- 0:16SPEAKER_04: Nice, isn't it?
- 0:17SPEAKER_04: Lovely.
- 0:19SPEAKER_04: I mean, they're different over there, they're more modern, but I I prefer over this side, I think.
- 0:22SPEAKER_04: It's nice and snug.
- 0:23SPEAKER_04: Done it up with the Carlisle stuff.
- 0:25SPEAKER_04: Sky Sport, if you can't see it, right there.
- 0:28SPEAKER_04: And a great view of the game.
- 0:30SPEAKER_04: Winds getting up.
- 0:32SPEAKER_04: The pitch looks outstanding.
- 0:33SPEAKER_04: And breaking news.
- 0:34SPEAKER_04: Go on.
- 0:35SPEAKER_04: Carlisle United.
- 0:36SPEAKER_04: Just signed Callum Camps.
- 0:38SPEAKER_04: I like him.
- 0:39SPEAKER_04: Pretty sure Fleetwood, Stockport, Rochdale.
- 0:44SPEAKER_04: But I think Fleetwood signed him when they were throwing a few quid around.
- 0:47SPEAKER_04: Stockport signed him when they're chucking a few quid around.
- 0:49SPEAKER_04: Proper centre midfielder.
- 0:52SPEAKER_04: As we said before, he's great.
- 0:53SPEAKER_04: And Adam said, yeah, but all of them meant to be then they get here, and he's right.
- 0:57SPEAKER_04: So I think he's won.
- 0:58SPEAKER_03: It will always be a seven, eight out of ten.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: Well, I've just been having a little scroll on Instagram and uh seeing Owen Moxon's story, and he says top, top player.
- 1:08SPEAKER_04: He is, he is.
- 1:09SPEAKER_04: So you'd sort of take his opinion on board, wouldn't you?
- 1:11SPEAKER_04: Definitely.
- 1:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, commentated on him over the years, but we'll go into that.
- 1:14SPEAKER_04: So yeah, we're here at the Collar United v.
- 1:17SPEAKER_04: Harrogate town.
- 1:18SPEAKER_04: Paul Thurwell, one of my good mates in football's assistant manager for Harrogate.
- 1:22SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna give him a bit when he's putting the balls out and that.
- 1:25SPEAKER_04: So uh he's actually told us their tactics for tonight, right?
- 1:29SPEAKER_04: But I've sworn to secrecy.
- 1:31SPEAKER_04: Obviously, this will go out a bit later, but we'll talk about it later because we're gonna do not a watch along, but we'll have a little vlog of of the game as well.
- 1:39SPEAKER_04: So, a quick one, Dean Wallen, the news broke, yeah, yeah, he's uh he's got prostate cancer, hasn't he?
- 1:47SPEAKER_03: Um but I mean obviously I'm on the the group with them all.
- 1:52SPEAKER_03: Um I mean obviously I don't I don't say much.
- 1:55SPEAKER_03: I'm not quite familiar with the law because of that game a few years ago, um and he put a big long message on there, and and to be fair to him, it wasn't all about like him or him in it.
- 2:06SPEAKER_03: He said, Look, lads, he goes, I had no I had no symptoms, please go and get yourselves tested, sort of thing, which was which is a measure of the man.
- 2:13SPEAKER_03: Um but the messages he got back, it just shows how close them lads still are and what they think of him.
- 2:17SPEAKER_03: And but I believe he's caught it early.
- 2:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, um I mean you you praise okay, but it it it it like he said, if you can go and get the test, do it.
- 2:25SPEAKER_03: Because even if you've got no symptoms and you catch it early, you've got a really good chance of of getting over it and obviously wish him we wish him well and we want him speedy recovery.
- 2:32SPEAKER_04: It's the best case scenario I've spoken to him to the best case scenario, but he said as you see it, he's more interested in people getting tested, yeah.
- 2:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he's gonna be.
- 2:39SPEAKER_04: So I remember uh Jeff Half, he had the same, didn't he?
- 2:44SPEAKER_04: I put it on the our group 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 group, and people thought it was me.
- 2:51SPEAKER_04: And with people haven't spoken to within two years, three years, they were all on the phone, and I said it's Jeff Half.
- 2:57SPEAKER_04: And you know what?
- 2:58SPEAKER_04: They put the phone down, they were straight on the Jeff as well.
- 3:00SPEAKER_03: Was Jeff testicular or was Jeff prostate?
- 3:02SPEAKER_03: Oh, so this is where you've got me.
- 3:04SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think he might have been testing down.
- 3:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah, and um Jeff will obviously correct me when he watches when he booked it.
- 3:10SPEAKER_03: I listen, he had cancer either way.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: Um, he beat it.
- 3:13SPEAKER_03: Um, but like you say, the support people get and that's where football's a great thing, isn't it?
- 3:17SPEAKER_04: And I'm booked in for a test.
- 3:18SPEAKER_03: I'm doing it, I'm I'm actually doing it tomorrow.
- 3:20SPEAKER_03: I'm booking him myself because I just think you want that little piece of mind, don't you?
- 3:23SPEAKER_04: And Dino also told me to um push him and Bridgie's night at Box Arena.
- 3:28SPEAKER_04: Yeah, it's the Blue Army podcast.
- 3:31SPEAKER_02: That's right, yeah.
- 3:32SPEAKER_04: Um Cousins, Andy Cousins, Andy Cousins, yeah.
- 3:35SPEAKER_04: He was at Blackpool with me um when I went on.
- 3:38SPEAKER_04: He had just left Carlisle.
- 3:39SPEAKER_04: Uh good lad, really good ideas, the host.
- 3:42SPEAKER_04: Dino and Bridgie Box Arena, Friday the 13th of November.
- 3:45SPEAKER_04: Bridgie left tickets for us if we fancy it.
- 3:47SPEAKER_03: Yeah, well, you know, obviously you know Bridgie very well, you know what character is.
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: Right, you know what character Dino is.
- 3:51SPEAKER_03: So if you can get along, get along, it'll be a be a good night.
- 3:54SPEAKER_04: Dino said for us to go and get on stage and do some um tales.
- 3:57SPEAKER_04: I went, absolutely no chance.
- 3:58SPEAKER_04: We're going well.
- 3:59SPEAKER_04: If we go, I'm going to enjoy my night and not get involved whatsoever.
- 4:02SPEAKER_04: And if I do, I want some wedge.
- 4:04SPEAKER_04: Anyway, Gazmer Dean.
- 4:06SPEAKER_04: Um, what a fight.
- 4:08SPEAKER_04: Did you watch it?
- 4:09SPEAKER_04: I never did you watch it.
- 4:10SPEAKER_04: So he played he fought a lad who do they do boxing.
- 4:13SPEAKER_04: Them two have been boxing all our lives, really.
- 4:15SPEAKER_04: And um Steve Bunts said after it that's the best fight they've had or seen in all the years doing the charity.
- 4:22SPEAKER_04: It was like two novices going at it, and uh it was great.
- 4:27SPEAKER_04: I I agree with the lad, I think he was hard done by, I think it was a draw, but Gaza's won it.
- 4:31SPEAKER_04: He said, I'm retired, I'm one and naught.
- 4:33SPEAKER_04: He says, but I will um take on big stacks, the fat sausage.
- 4:36SPEAKER_03: I've just got to say, who did he call up next to him?
- 4:38SPEAKER_03: So he wants Miss Fitz.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: So he wants the money.
- 4:40SPEAKER_04: So episode.
- 5:02SPEAKER_04: Welcome, welcome to Broughton Park.
- 5:04SPEAKER_04: And by the way, Dylan has binned us off for hospitality tonight.
- 5:08SPEAKER_04: Uh I think he's better than us, doesn't he?
- 5:09SPEAKER_04: And he's he sent the menu and has got the burger sliders on, so I kinda get it, but there'll be repercussions for him.
- 5:15SPEAKER_04: So hope you enjoy.
- 5:18SPEAKER_04: Quickly, Max Downing.
- 5:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:22SPEAKER_03: Um learning curve for the lad, isn't it?
- 5:24SPEAKER_03: I mean, listen, he's still a baby, isn't he?
- 5:25SPEAKER_03: And I'd like to know what Arteta said to him when he walked off.
- 5:27SPEAKER_03: Great tackle.
- 5:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 5:30SPEAKER_03: Harrison Neal, it's a great tackle.
- 5:31SPEAKER_03: And he's doing well, isn't he?
- 5:32SPEAKER_03: When remember he was he was here, wasn't he?
- 5:34SPEAKER_03: He didn't do great, but oh shows you shows you, doesn't it?
- 5:38SPEAKER_03: A little change of club can can kick you on.
- 5:40SPEAKER_03: But yeah, I mean it's a it's a learning curve.
- 5:42SPEAKER_03: He's come up with a statement to apologise, apologise.
- 5:44SPEAKER_03: And listen, he'll move on from that.
- 5:46SPEAKER_03: He's he's some talent.
- 5:47SPEAKER_04: I think it was harsh, the the red.
- 5:49SPEAKER_04: You can't do it, fair enough.
- 5:51SPEAKER_04: Could he said a yellow and done, but some people on Sky and on these pods and saying that the tackle was reckless from Arison Neal.
- 6:00SPEAKER_04: It's a great tackle, it's an absolute great tackle, and you know what?
- 6:03SPEAKER_04: Do them good, yeah, do him good.
- 6:05SPEAKER_04: And Arteta, as you say, people having to go at Arteta because he's a 16-year-old kid saying he's leaving one on him, not a problem, not a problem.
- 6:12SPEAKER_04: If you beat if you're monocoddled all your life and then suddenly Arteta leaves and another manager comes in and he is a bit aggressive, he's used to he's then got it.
- 6:20SPEAKER_03: And let's be honest, he's gonna be a bit more further on in his life, isn't he?
- 6:24SPEAKER_03: As the average 16-year-old with what his experience and stuff already, so he'll take it, he'll take it well.
- 6:28SPEAKER_04: I am best thing about Sunland a 16-year-old that scored the winner at Highfield Road on a Thursday night, um, when the reserves played at the ground, yeah.
- 6:37SPEAKER_04: Played Coventry City away, came on with 16, 10 minutes left, give the ball away four times, and scored a tap in it the last minute to win 1-0.
- 6:46SPEAKER_04: It was the you know, the journal and the chronicle in Newcastle.
- 6:49SPEAKER_04: It was the headlines the next day on the Saturday.
- 6:52SPEAKER_04: I played all right, but my youth team coach ripped into me and basically I know what he was doing, bringing me right back down to it.
- 7:00SPEAKER_03: It's a good thing, though, isn't it?
- 7:01SPEAKER_03: Alan Irvine was good at that.
- 7:02SPEAKER_03: He never let you get too.
- 7:04SPEAKER_04: You said you didn't too carried away.
- 7:05SPEAKER_04: Even if you've done amazing, his last quote to you before you went away for the weekend was like, but you better be back on it, man.
- 7:10SPEAKER_03: Yeah, do it.
- 7:11SPEAKER_03: Yeah, don't be don't be getting too carried away.
- 7:13SPEAKER_03: Um you're training half ten Monday morning and you've got to be at it.
- 7:16SPEAKER_03: So which good that though, I think.
- 7:17SPEAKER_03: Keeps you keep your grounded.
- 7:18SPEAKER_04: I made me debut against Wolves for the first team, and then it was international week the week after, and I played back down to Hartleypool away for the youths in an under 18 game.
- 7:29SPEAKER_04: No knew what he was doing, so I went, you know what, I'm gonna run, tackle, win every head and make sure like my attitude can't be questioned.
- 7:37SPEAKER_04: That's what they're looking for though, aren't they?
- 7:38SPEAKER_04: Exactly what they were looking for.
- 7:40SPEAKER_04: So Collar United, match of each Solihull.
- 7:42SPEAKER_04: Did you see any of it?
- 7:43SPEAKER_04: Did you watch any highlights?
- 7:44SPEAKER_04: I never, I was away, wasn't I?
- 7:46SPEAKER_03: But listen, I just think it's if you go back weeks and weeks from what we seen at that second half against Walking, you've got to give the man credit for turning for the turnaround of they've sort of made.
- 8:00SPEAKER_03: Um, when was the last time they went behind away from home and won?
- 8:02SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 8:03SPEAKER_03: Um so that shows another side to them, I think.
- 8:06SPEAKER_03: And I just think what they've done since Walking, you've got to give them massive credit because they could have crumbled.
- 8:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 8:11SPEAKER_04: I mean, as you say, four or five games on the bounds, horrendous first half against Solihull, really bad, like one of the worst I've seen.
- 8:19SPEAKER_04: But it takes characters and it takes character of a manager to go right.
- 8:23SPEAKER_04: You need to turn that round.
- 8:25SPEAKER_03: Um, and that's exactly what they've done.
- 8:29SPEAKER_04: And scored two good goals to be fair.
- 8:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, was two good goals, and like you say, it could have been if if the if ifs and buts and maybes, but if the penalty went in against Kidderminster, you look at the the form, it's it's uh it's stock drawless and you the performances are going to be hidden there, aren't they?
- 8:43SPEAKER_03: Um sort of at this level, but when they grind them out and then they keep winning, it can only be a good deal.
- 8:48SPEAKER_04: I was thinking about them today.
- 8:49SPEAKER_04: They're in a lose-lose situation, Carlisle.
- 8:51SPEAKER_04: Do you remember when you used to play either for Carlisle in your castle and you're playing that Northumberland Cup or Carlisle playing the Cumbrick County Cup or whatever it is?
- 8:59SPEAKER_04: Yeah, if you play a team and you win at 10-nil, you're meant to.
- 9:05SPEAKER_04: If you get beat or draw, you get absolutely hammered.
- 9:07SPEAKER_04: So Carlisle are kind of like that in this league, quite rightly, because they're playing some dross like.
- 9:13SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 9:13SPEAKER_04: Um, if they win, you're meant to have won.
- 9:16SPEAKER_04: And if you draw or lose, they're on you.
- 9:19SPEAKER_04: So I kind of get it, but that's where you've got to take the pressure, and that's what I like about Feeney and his interviews.
- 9:23SPEAKER_04: He knows the pressure.
- 9:24SPEAKER_04: Whereas another couple kind of don't understand it.
- 9:28SPEAKER_04: I watched DeBar's interview today, and it was a great interview, but he kind of said, you know, have faith in us, stick with us.
- 9:35SPEAKER_04: But to be fair, the supporters have been absolutely unreal.
- 9:38SPEAKER_04: And I think the players just need a little sometimes just say, Listen, you're right in what you're saying, but it's trauma of three years, and like get anxiety agitated quite early in games because that's what they're thrown, they're thrown into the club for three and a half years.
- 9:52SPEAKER_04: They've been told by the season tickets, by the strips, and the patience runs a little bit thin.
- 9:57SPEAKER_04: So the players have just got to have that mentality that you know it might not all go away, they might get onto us, but we've got to come through that.
- 10:04SPEAKER_04: And the likes of Callum Camps will be used to that.
- 10:06SPEAKER_04: That's why I'm quite pleased with that.
- 10:08SPEAKER_04: He should be about 29.30 now.
- 10:10SPEAKER_04: Oh, so he's been there, don't he?
- 10:11SPEAKER_04: That's right.
- 10:11SPEAKER_04: Yeah, sounds like a from what I've read, sounds like a good signing.
- 10:14SPEAKER_04: Yeah, um, and speaking of Duwar, Rob Elliott's saying he's the best keeper in the league again, Dublin down.
- 10:21SPEAKER_04: So if you're 14th in the league, I know what he's doing is trying to get the lads up and up and up, but on the other hand, if he makes a shite that tonight, people can go, looking hell, best keeper.
- 10:32SPEAKER_04: But that's where the players have got to go.
- 10:34SPEAKER_04: The army manager's saying this, but he is a confident kid.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: Aye.
- 10:37SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I like I like his confidence.
- 10:39SPEAKER_03: I think it's uh sometimes it gets a mistaken with with a bit of arrogance, but you've got to have that little bit of arrogance as well when you play football, like you've got to believe in yourself massively against who you're coming up with and what you can what you can do on that pitch.
- 10:50SPEAKER_03: And I like him, I think he's very vocal and he seems like a winner, so yeah, he's good.
- 10:54SPEAKER_04: Um so credit for us for the run we're on.
- 10:57SPEAKER_04: So tonight, though, there's no point in losing and making everyone go on the back foot.
- 11:02SPEAKER_04: Deal with it, deal with the poor teams, come up against the bigger ones.
- 11:05SPEAKER_04: Let's see where well, bigger ones, Harrogate.
- 11:07SPEAKER_04: No disrespect.
- 11:08SPEAKER_04: Well, there is.
- 11:09SPEAKER_04: Um, but these are the better teams in the league.
- 11:12SPEAKER_04: You've got to go and get something from these games.
- 11:14SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, this is sitting second or third, aren't you?
- 11:16SPEAKER_04: I mean, we're playing for playoffs now, which is a bit rubbish.
- 11:19SPEAKER_04: We're waiting all the end of the season now to see which position we are in the playoffs, but we've got to give Borham Wood credit.
- 11:24SPEAKER_03: 21 points ahead of us now, or 20 points ahead of us, and lost one or two with the big hitters as well, and just carried on in the book.
- 11:30SPEAKER_03: That manager's had them sort of top draw for years.
- 11:34SPEAKER_03: He's he's a good manager.
- 11:35SPEAKER_04: You were kind of thinking Bromley might have took him.
- 11:36SPEAKER_04: So Bromley are interviewing.
- 11:38SPEAKER_04: Who?
- 11:38SPEAKER_04: Ashley Cole.
- 11:40SPEAKER_03: I've seen that, yeah.
- 11:41SPEAKER_03: Yeah, we've got to get in there somewhere, haven't you?
- 11:43SPEAKER_03: But yeah, that um the Bornewood manager, people were saying I'll get him here, but I think he likes it where he is.
- 11:49SPEAKER_04: Um Phil off the social.
- 11:52SPEAKER_04: The do BBC the social.
- 11:54SPEAKER_04: I've been enjoying his crack lately.
- 11:56SPEAKER_04: Johnny's ex player kind of knows the game coaching side.
- 12:00SPEAKER_04: James and Paul, you know, host and stuff like that and commentator.
- 12:04SPEAKER_04: But Phil, out and out fan, and kind of says it how he sees it.
- 12:07SPEAKER_04: And I think the last couple of weeks, when you know we've been enjoying this run, he still went, you know what, I don't think that was good enough, I don't think this is good enough.
- 12:14SPEAKER_04: Having a little pop at times and and he picked out a thing we've been picking out lately.
- 12:18SPEAKER_04: Um, Nicholson turning his back on Saturday, and we spoke about it a couple of weeks ago getting out to the ball.
- 12:24SPEAKER_04: And if you're gonna get out, get out to get out.
- 12:26SPEAKER_04: Get out properly, yeah.
- 12:27SPEAKER_04: But it's kind of a little run to say, I'm kind of doing it, and Feeney's the one saying, Go on.
- 12:32SPEAKER_04: So Feeney signed two and a half year deal.
- 12:34SPEAKER_04: Yeah, um, speaking to a couple of lads, ex-players and agents stuff, saying we thought he could go higher, but we spoke about this before.
- 12:42SPEAKER_04: When you're happy, you're settled in the area, 28, 28-ish, two and a half year deal.
- 12:49SPEAKER_04: Does he go somewhere and like Shrewsby in and out of the team, or do you come here, know he's gonna play, happy in his work life, happy in his family life, the main man, so to speak.
- 13:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think it's and a good wage, it won't be on the Jones wages and the white's wage, but it'll be a decent wage, and I think he's got something to like build here.
- 13:08SPEAKER_04: He's kind of like, you know, you think of after football and stuff like that being in the area, so yeah, but he is well thought of, isn't he?
- 13:14SPEAKER_03: Obviously, he's the captain and the there's my mate there.
- 13:16SPEAKER_04: Well there, so it is, yeah.
- 13:23SPEAKER_04: Hey, he was a crab ther, wasn't he?
- 13:25SPEAKER_04: He's been there a while, hasn't he?
- 13:27SPEAKER_04: He wasn't the manager's job, the manager's now the owner, isn't he?
- 13:30SPEAKER_04: So yeah, we're just praising Phil off the social for his.
- 13:33SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, we will, yeah.
- 13:34SPEAKER_03: His opinions and yeah, like an out back as an out and out fan, so he uh he wasn't too pleased with with Nicholson not there.
- 13:42SPEAKER_04: Turning his back.
- 13:42SPEAKER_03: But like you say, if you're gonna go out and close this, close someone down, go out properly, don't go out half-assed.
- 13:46SPEAKER_03: Yeah, right.
- 13:47SPEAKER_04: Mental health, we've had a load back in of last week through James McLean.
- 13:52SPEAKER_04: I'm glad I'd done my research, you know, because it could have been an easy pylon for James McLean, because he doesn't help himself and he's not helping himself today again.
- 13:59SPEAKER_04: They've asked him about the final for Derry, and he said he's taking his something man new instead, and his brother plays for Derry.
- 14:06SPEAKER_04: Stop, stop it, we're trying to help you here.
- 14:10SPEAKER_04: So, yeah, about his how he said he finds that it's weak and everything, it was a sound bite, everyone jumped on it.
- 14:16SPEAKER_04: But when the context comes through and the whole interview comes out and he's said it again, he commends anyone who does it, and he felt he would want to do it, but he just finds it weak, and that's his problem, not someone else's problem.
- 14:29SPEAKER_03: But like he said just previously, I think the pylon is because of previous years and his sort of not well behaviour sometimes, yeah.
- 14:38SPEAKER_03: People just think he's at it again, sort of thing.
- 14:40SPEAKER_03: But like you say, you've you've looked more into it, and yeah, he's uh he had a bovel, got a bovel through at him, didn't he, at Wrexham and he threw the cup back.
- 14:49SPEAKER_04: I was taking a call.
- 14:50SPEAKER_04: I once had a pie, chucked at his, you know, hit his just picked it up, pretended he didn't chuck the back in.
- 14:55SPEAKER_04: But remember when Carriga threw a coin back in at Ivory because lost his head.
- 15:00SPEAKER_04: Yeah, so James McClean, yeah, he clarified his comments, admitted his weak a weakness, and commends people who do it.
- 15:08SPEAKER_04: So I do a thing when I go into school is an iceberg.
- 15:12SPEAKER_04: So the iceberg is what you see on top of the iceberg.
- 15:14SPEAKER_04: We've done it before, we've done it.
- 15:16SPEAKER_04: And underneath, so we say name three things.
- 15:18SPEAKER_04: I say it to kids or grown-ups, name three things you will think about when you think of a professional footballer.
- 15:25SPEAKER_04: So they'll say usually houses, money, money, fame.
- 15:29SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 15:30SPEAKER_04: So on the top of the iceberg, it says possessions, it says fame, money, followers, stuff like that.
- 15:35SPEAKER_04: But underneath it has like sacrifice, um, loneliness.
- 15:39SPEAKER_04: And then we talk about, don't we?
- 15:41SPEAKER_04: Like, I say Christmas Day to the kids.
- 15:43SPEAKER_04: What do you do Christmas Day?
- 15:44SPEAKER_04: Run downstairs, have your eat, open your presents for dinner.
- 15:48SPEAKER_04: You have turkey, you have this, you have that.
- 15:50SPEAKER_04: And then we say, What do we do?
- 15:52SPEAKER_04: We get up at half six as a footballer, you go and train, sometimes not even go back home, you're on a bus, you're down to Nottingham or London in a hotel Christmas Day night, chicken, boiled chicken, beans, bit of pasta, bit of pasta.
- 16:07SPEAKER_04: Well, everyone's watching like the Gavin and Stacey Christmas special and that.
- 16:11SPEAKER_04: Or others, East Ender specials, but that's gone downhill.
- 16:14SPEAKER_04: But that it's kind of things like that, what they don't see for footballers.
- 16:17SPEAKER_03: It is, it is.
- 16:18SPEAKER_03: I mean, you've there's I remember one year we were bottom of the league for Southport in the conference in this in this league, we were rock bottom.
- 16:24SPEAKER_03: Um, Paul Cook was a manager, and just out of spite he got us in.
- 16:28SPEAKER_03: A spite and he had us in for 15-20 minutes.
- 16:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 16:32SPEAKER_03: Oh, just for 15-20 minutes.
- 16:34SPEAKER_03: 15-20 minutes just to be like talk about the game on the boxing day.
- 16:37SPEAKER_03: So I drove from Carlisle to Southport to Carlisle, back to Southport on the boxing day and got B3 now.
- 16:43SPEAKER_04: Simmo was good.
- 16:43SPEAKER_04: Simmo asked us, I think I've spoken about this before, would you rather come in later or would you rather come in early?
- 16:49SPEAKER_04: And we're like, let's get it done early.
- 16:51SPEAKER_04: So to be fair, I didn't have kids at the time, so it didn't really matter to me.
- 16:54SPEAKER_04: But it was a good shout getting in early.
- 16:56SPEAKER_04: By the time you get home about half eleven, smell the dinner.
- 16:59SPEAKER_04: You're like, I know, I know.
- 17:01SPEAKER_03: Um did you ever stick by the diet of, or did you have yourself no the worst was when I was at work and we had bright Spartans on the boxing day.
- 17:10SPEAKER_03: I couldn't move.
- 17:11SPEAKER_03: I couldn't move, honestly.
- 17:12SPEAKER_03: I was I think I got whipped off for about 60 minutes.
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: 60 you last in the warm up you ever done a warm up and you know you're off it.
- 17:20SPEAKER_04: Ah, miles off it, I miles off it, and you're just like um what was the I want to know, you know when you used to come back a lot on a Saturday and people, your mates probably were out in wherever club you were, yeah, and people like would have looked at you and said, He's at Newcastle or he's at Portville living the dream.
- 17:39SPEAKER_04: But for me, sometimes I'd go back and say I hadn't played for Barnsley and I'm in a nightclub with the lads because I want to try and enjoy myself, but in the back of your head, you're like, I'm heading back down there on Monday.
- 17:50SPEAKER_04: I know the manager isn't gonna involve us in the next game, so I'm really going down there kicking my heels.
- 17:55SPEAKER_04: But all these lads at the minute think I'm living the dream, so you've got to kind of like put that brave face on, but also you can't say to your mates back then, listen, I'm struggling down there.
- 18:04SPEAKER_04: I used to say to my lads, my mates, come with us.
- 18:06SPEAKER_04: Not I say it's class down there, come with us, just to try and get them down there for a few days.
- 18:10SPEAKER_03: When I got when I got released from Newcastle, I was quite embarrassed to go out for a bit.
- 18:14SPEAKER_03: Um it's mad when you think of it.
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: I went down to League One at Port Vale, and I wasn't I wasn't ashamed of it, but I was always at the Premier League.
- 18:22SPEAKER_03: Do you know what I mean?
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: And when you go down the levels, you're a bit sort of when you think back now, he's such a good league to play in, but like you're a bit, you know, like Well, you you've done the same as me.
- 18:32SPEAKER_04: So you've done the same as Mark Gower.
- 18:34SPEAKER_04: Was it Mark Gower played for South End?
- 18:36SPEAKER_04: Mark Bower and he played for Swansea, good little way.
- 18:39SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:39SPEAKER_04: I kind of followed him.
- 18:40SPEAKER_04: I decided to leave Sunderland to go to championship and play.
- 18:44SPEAKER_04: But I left Sunderland in the October, and by the June, I was then a League One player because I got relegated.
- 18:51SPEAKER_04: And you're like, I've gone from I know I wasn't playing every time in the Premier League, but I could be on the bench, I'd be in the score.
- 18:56SPEAKER_04: Next thing I'm League One, and you're thinking that drop, because the drop from championship to League One's completely different.
- 19:02SPEAKER_04: The stadiums are now from 30,000 to 10,000.
- 19:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I felt a bit of in I don't know why, like I just at the time I just felt a bit of embarrassment.
- 19:09SPEAKER_03: But when you look back, you think it's stupid, because to play at any level as a professional football is a massive achievement.
- 19:15SPEAKER_03: But it was the same when sort of when I went first went part-time with with Barrow in the Conference North, and I had to get a job.
- 19:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, no, you just felt like people were judging you high.
- 19:23SPEAKER_03: But the there were a bit some will be, but yeah, you just felt like you judged a bit like oh look at him now, he's not football anymore, and that sort of thing.
- 19:30SPEAKER_03: So you've got that to deal with as well.
- 19:31SPEAKER_03: But when you think back, you were just lucky to play at them levels, weren't you?
- 19:34SPEAKER_04: I I came here and I went, and I've told you about it before.
- 19:39SPEAKER_04: The minute I ran out, I only signed a month to see because I knew like League Two and League One clubs were still sniffing, but I enjoyed it and I came out and signed a month.
- 19:47SPEAKER_04: I came here, can the island to my 8,000, and then away to Forest Green 15, and I went, you know what?
- 19:53SPEAKER_04: It'll do me good playing here 40 games.
- 19:56SPEAKER_04: Yeah, just sacrifice the season and see where it goes.
- 19:59SPEAKER_04: But uh, we talk about we don't really talk about the good stuff we've done.
- 20:03SPEAKER_04: You talk about that debut against Kumas, and I talk about the Chelsea one where the next day I've I was on top of the world, half two, Saturday, Stanford Bridge, I've cracked it.
- 20:14SPEAKER_04: Everything I wanted to be in my life.
- 20:15SPEAKER_04: I've I'm about to do it, I'm about to do it.
- 20:18SPEAKER_04: I'm about to do it for years, and then by 445, it's ripped away from you, and you're like kind of no fault of your own.
- 20:25SPEAKER_04: Yes, you've got to play better, but the circumstances you find yourself in, it's sliding doors.
- 20:30SPEAKER_04: We had Watford on the Tuesday.
- 20:32SPEAKER_04: Imagine that was the first game.
- 20:33SPEAKER_04: Oh yeah.
- 20:33SPEAKER_04: You didn't have Kumas the first game.
- 20:35SPEAKER_03: Imagine this it was like it was only a couple of months later he was in the Premier League.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: Aye, so it's just who you come up against, but I know what you're saying.
- 20:42SPEAKER_03: It's sometimes it's I mean, my debut for Barrow was I was a member it was Staley Bitch Celtic at home, and we got beat 3-1.
- 20:48SPEAKER_03: And I looked round, I thought, this is me now, like I'm but then we went 23 games and beat and got promoted, and then you're back full time again.
- 20:55SPEAKER_03: So it's swings and roundabouts, isn't it?
- 20:57SPEAKER_04: Er's from Dave Blat and Chies nickname.
- 20:59SPEAKER_04: Thought the pod handled the section of mental health really well.
- 21:02SPEAKER_04: Easy to jump on the clean, but glad you all highlighted the importance of therapy for men, as well as keeping the comments in context and sticking up for him.
- 21:09SPEAKER_04: What do you do now if you're feeling down yourself?
- 21:13SPEAKER_04: What do I do now?
- 21:15SPEAKER_04: You definitely you hide it well, definitely exercise.
- 21:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you know when I'm down because I go quiet.
- 21:20SPEAKER_03: Yeah, but you you do you try you you you put a bit of a sometimes you have to put a bit of a.
- 21:24SPEAKER_00: He can clock me.
- 21:25SPEAKER_00: He can clock me when I come in.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: He can clock.
- 21:27SPEAKER_04: I've walked into places before and he's went, what's wrong?
- 21:30SPEAKER_04: I don't know.
- 21:32SPEAKER_03: Right, and to be fair, having your rants are good.
- 21:35SPEAKER_03: But I mean, I I just try and go.
- 21:37SPEAKER_03: You do your run.
- 21:37SPEAKER_03: I go running two, three times a week.
- 21:39SPEAKER_03: I was supposed to have a partner this morning, but he was up all night with diarrhea, so I uh I have to go on my own, but I like to go with someone and have a chat.
- 21:45SPEAKER_03: Um but I do I like to go two, three times a week.
- 21:48SPEAKER_03: Five miles every time we run, probably the slowest in the town.
- 21:51SPEAKER_03: But see, I've never had a shower after it, it does a lot for me.
- 21:54SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I think with me, the things don't get me down, it's the stress of what I've got.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: Coming up.
- 22:00SPEAKER_04: So, like at the minute, I've got a lot of things going on personally where it's like I've got this massive list to get through.
- 22:06SPEAKER_04: But once I've ticked that itinerary, yeah, it's good, isn't it?
- 22:09SPEAKER_04: The script, making sure you use lock, get the same place.
- 22:12SPEAKER_04: That's right.
- 22:13SPEAKER_04: But I no.
- 22:14SPEAKER_04: Um, I've got a story about someone we both know, but I'm not going to name them.
- 22:18SPEAKER_04: Just as they were finishing from football, they got a payout of around£110,000.
- 22:23SPEAKER_04: No qualifications, no nothing.
- 22:24SPEAKER_04: And he said it was like a noose around his neck.
- 22:27SPEAKER_04: Like, this is his words, and I know people might go.
- 22:30SPEAKER_04: So he finished football, he lost his identity, but he had this£110,000.
- 22:34SPEAKER_04: But everyone kept saying in his village, you're sorted, you're okay, you're okay.
- 22:38SPEAKER_04: But that£110,000 got to last him.
- 22:40SPEAKER_04: And in the end, he got into the drink and he got into the gambling and he lost it, lost it, lost, and it went down.
- 22:46SPEAKER_04: And he said the last week he had£11,000 and he kept going up and down, up and down, and just went with the gambling.
- 22:53SPEAKER_04: And he just went, I want this over with.
- 22:54SPEAKER_04: Either I want the 110,000 back to start again or I want it gone, which means I have to get myself into here because he wasn't applying for jobs because of the 110,000.
- 23:03SPEAKER_04: He wasn't cracking on because of it, and he put it on a horse at something like 10.
- 23:09SPEAKER_04: I don't know how these words were.
- 23:10SPEAKER_04: He put like 11 grand on a 10 to 1, which was not favourite, but he put on the nose, came second.
- 23:16SPEAKER_04: Oh, and I said to him, How was that feeling?
- 23:18SPEAKER_04: He went, you know what?
- 23:19SPEAKER_04: It was the best thing that could have happened.
- 23:21SPEAKER_04: Cut a little visit from Paul Thurwell.
- 23:23SPEAKER_04: We know all the tactics.
- 23:28SPEAKER_04: Um yeah, we'll go back on a story I was just telling you about.
- 23:32SPEAKER_04: Um, to go up.
- 23:34SPEAKER_04: So talking about mental health, talking about players who retire and not knowing what to do this hell.
- 23:38SPEAKER_04: We know a lad, don't we?
- 23:39SPEAKER_04: Who got a good payoff when he finished 110,000, 120,000, and it was like a noose around his neck.
- 23:45SPEAKER_04: He um because he had that money, he didn't get a job, but also wanted a job, so his mental health was deterring because that money was drifting down.
- 23:55SPEAKER_04: Then he wanted it back up, so the gambling started.
- 23:58SPEAKER_04: Yeah, and it came to a point where he said one week he was just finished, and it was something like Cheltenham week, and he was just up and down, up and down.
- 24:06SPEAKER_04: He got to about 11 grand on the last day, and he just went, you know what?
- 24:09SPEAKER_04: I'm gonna put it on to win the 110 grand back and start my life, or I'm gonna gamble it and it's gone, and I have to then start my life work-wise.
- 24:19SPEAKER_04: So he put it on a 10 to 1, something like that, and it came second.
- 24:22SPEAKER_04: And I was like, How did you feel?
- 24:24SPEAKER_04: And he went, you know what?
- 24:25SPEAKER_04: Long term, it was probably the best thing I've ever done.
- 24:28SPEAKER_04: It's hard to take at the time, though.
- 24:30SPEAKER_04: That not wrong.
- 24:32SPEAKER_04: Um, yeah, so that's how people can get it.
- 24:35SPEAKER_04: I mean, people would have seen him retire and go, oh, he's had a great career, and he'll have money behind him and stuff like that, but then you'd haven't got the prospect of what you're gonna do next.
- 24:44SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I I mean I yeah, I got I always say to you, Don't I go back, I mean, I I work all the hours I can and I start ridiculous times and stuff, and it was just because I was when I was a footballer, you just think it's never gonna end, and like qualifications-wise, I've gotten on.
- 24:58SPEAKER_03: Um, and so you've just got to do what you've got to do to provide for your family and stuff.
- 25:03SPEAKER_03: And that was my biggest regret, like I've said to you before, not getting something behind us, i.e., maybe a trade or something like that, and then you can kick on once it finishes because it's uh but do you remember though back in the day if you'd done anything in the afternoons, your managers were on you?
- 25:15SPEAKER_04: You weren't resting up.
- 25:16SPEAKER_04: If you said to your manager in you when you're 27, oh, I'm on a like labourer course.
- 25:21SPEAKER_04: They'd be like, No, you're not, and they'd use it against you.
- 25:24SPEAKER_03: And then even in if you tried to do extra as a player, busy you're a busy, you're a busy prick, aren't you?
- 25:31SPEAKER_03: And then I saw it.
- 25:32SPEAKER_04: I remember Sir who's just been in.
- 25:33SPEAKER_04: I remember going out with a bag of balls one day, and I literally got to the pitch and he was out the window going, You busy bastard, and I just went, it's not worth it.
- 25:43SPEAKER_04: Um what do you miss the most?
- 25:46SPEAKER_04: One word answer of football.
- 25:48SPEAKER_04: The crack.
- 25:50SPEAKER_04: Yeah, seen this three times this week on Diffin that missed the crack.
- 25:53SPEAKER_04: Getting into a dressing room with 20 of your mates, pissing around, camaraderie.
- 25:59SPEAKER_03: Like what gets said to each other in a changing room is absurd at times, but the everyone can take it, everyone knows where it's coming from, sort of thing.
- 26:09SPEAKER_03: Nothing, nothing, nobody means it.
- 26:11SPEAKER_03: Um, but I mean, I I I think I've told this before.
- 26:14SPEAKER_03: I used to have like the YTs at Portville shouting, um, calling me Tyrone of Corn Ace and Street out the window, and I chased the little bastards, I couldn't catch them.
- 26:22SPEAKER_03: But I but it was just the crack, it was it was a laugh a minute, wasn't it?
- 26:26SPEAKER_03: And that's what I meant.
- 26:27SPEAKER_03: It's a fucking nightmare when Chesney came into Cory.
- 26:30SPEAKER_04: Both on it, you know.
- 26:32SPEAKER_04: Um a little one on um Man United players, absolute joke, down tools, crap.
- 26:37SPEAKER_04: I loved it how Carrack got applauded off.
- 26:39SPEAKER_04: Not seeing he's the answer or whatever, but he got applauded off, and then as soon as he got down the tunnel, dude.
- 26:45SPEAKER_04: Have you seen Rooney's run?
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: I've seen how red he was, John Holiday.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: I someone put underneath in the comments.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: Colleen's forgot the fact that 50.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: He looked like his skin was on the floor.
- 26:57SPEAKER_00: Someone putnett.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: I broke my ankle and running to these comments.
- 27:01SPEAKER_03: But like he was on and he was losing his head turn.
- 27:04SPEAKER_03: And he and he plays himself down a bit.
- 27:06SPEAKER_03: He's saying, like, I could play a bit, a bit, he was phenomenal.
- 27:09SPEAKER_03: But he was like, at least I ran and I tackled, yeah, and I give it everything I got.
- 27:12SPEAKER_03: He goes, These lot, some of these lot even aren't very good, and they think they can just jog about.
- 27:16SPEAKER_03: And he went on one like and is right what they say about it.
- 27:18SPEAKER_04: Yeah, yeah, my new players.
- 27:20SPEAKER_04: I was really like I like McGuire and that, but it's probably his time now to something drastic has to happen, by the way, because they're not far off the bottom, bottom threads.
- 27:27SPEAKER_04: Well, still, but I think they've got to rip everything up.
- 27:29SPEAKER_04: I think uh contracts get them out.
- 27:32SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 27:33SPEAKER_04: YouTube YouTube question, one word answer we want this week.
- 27:37SPEAKER_04: Subscribe, like, get on it.
- 27:39SPEAKER_04: In their pomp, in their pomp, Harry Kane or Michael Owen.
- 27:49SPEAKER_03: I think this answer depends on people's ages.
- 27:52SPEAKER_03: But uh the likes of myself and you, we can we can judge it.
- 27:57SPEAKER_03: So people in the 30s and 40s.
- 27:59SPEAKER_04: So you're talking Cain 98 to 2001, aren't you?
- 28:03SPEAKER_04: Owen.
- 28:04SPEAKER_04: Owen, yeah, sorry.
- 28:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah, Cain, you're talking to be fair, he's been in his pomp for longevity, but Owen was a shorter period of time, but how good he was for that period of time before his hamstrings given.
- 28:15SPEAKER_03: He was he was so good it was ridiculous.
- 28:17SPEAKER_04: Go on then.
- 28:18SPEAKER_04: Me.
- 28:26SPEAKER_03: Oh yeah?
- 28:27SPEAKER_04: Yeah, I thought you'd go in.
- 28:28SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I think so.
- 28:30SPEAKER_04: Do you remember how we seen her and remember his hatred against the water?
- 28:34SPEAKER_03: I was there, I was there in the f in the second row, my dad.
- 28:37SPEAKER_03: Um my dad died.
- 28:39SPEAKER_04: 1998, something like that.
- 28:43SPEAKER_03: That's it.
- 28:44SPEAKER_03: And he done that died as the August.
- 28:45SPEAKER_03: Um yeah, and my dad, I had to keep my dad down because he was trying to celebrate every time he scored, but he was in the Newcastle.
- 28:51SPEAKER_04: YouTube, one word answer, and I was gonna call them out, I can't remember who it was.
- 28:55SPEAKER_04: Give us a big list on the managers last week.
- 28:57SPEAKER_04: No, one word answer.
- 28:59SPEAKER_04: I give him a back, I went one word.
- 29:01SPEAKER_04: It's good interaction though, isn't it?
- 29:02SPEAKER_04: So keep it coming, yeah.
- 29:03SPEAKER_04: Barrow v.
- 29:04SPEAKER_04: Forest Green.
- 29:05SPEAKER_04: I don't know if you've seen it, but Barrow lifted the flying by the way.
- 29:09SPEAKER_04: By the way, people used to text me and say, you know, when you played and you just used to put it forward, Simon, John Ward and that, pin them in, dinosaur football that pinning them in from kickoff.
- 29:19SPEAKER_04: Look who's doing it now.
- 29:21SPEAKER_04: Flicked it up in the air, just volunteered as far as you can.
- 29:25SPEAKER_04: They're just pinging it and just put because my thinking was put them into the back, put them on the back foot, throw it, and then you've not got a shot at you for the first three minutes, and you can just buy yourself play away into the game.
- 29:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, but I Barrow locked the ball up, gone there, they've scored, but then I've never seen celebrations like it when the the ref called time on the game and the band.
- 29:47SPEAKER_04: Forrest Green were like running over at the supporters.
- 29:49SPEAKER_04: Yeah, abandoned, abandoned.
- 29:53SPEAKER_04: Um a couple of ladies have text in, holding their so icks.
- 30:00SPEAKER_04: I've saved them up over the last three weeks.
- 30:02SPEAKER_04: So we'll have a bit of fun now with these icks, then we'll do quiz corner.
- 30:05SPEAKER_04: So I've held off these couple of icks, held his mug of coffee with two hands.
- 30:12SPEAKER_04: What chance a lad's got like?
- 30:15SPEAKER_04: Oh swung his legs on the roller coaster at Blackpool Beach.
- 30:21SPEAKER_04: Like waiting for it to go on, pinched his nose while jumping in the pool, said want to get some brecky.
- 30:34SPEAKER_04: Hi Lummy, one war one word for ick Warhammer, oh Warhammer, whilst on holiday, my husband gave me the ick.
- 30:46SPEAKER_04: Do you want to know why?
- 30:47SPEAKER_04: Not crocs, not shorts, not Calvin Klein's.
- 30:51SPEAKER_04: We went to the sea jumping over the waves.
- 30:54SPEAKER_04: No, and last one, blue on his food because it was hot.
- 31:04SPEAKER_04: You know what's he meant to do, Scaldy's gone.
- 31:06SPEAKER_04: Right, quiz corner.
- 31:08SPEAKER_04: Let's go.
- 31:08SPEAKER_04: Philip Brunskill was the Jeff winner.
- 31:11SPEAKER_04: Alright.
- 31:12SPEAKER_04: Uh the Tramya game, which four Cumbrians, Hunts, Moxon, Taylor Charters, and Ellis played in the game against Tramya.
- 31:19SPEAKER_04: Who am I?
- 31:19SPEAKER_04: Right, Dylan's not here tonight because he's loading it up over there.

- 35:14SPEAKER_04: Who has more in their caps?
- 35:16SPEAKER_04: Just 20 seconds.
- 35:17SPEAKER_03: Have you seen Sol Campbell's interview where they'd have to cut him?
- 35:21SPEAKER_03: He's done so many on the years.

- 35:26SPEAKER_04: Yeah, he did.
- 35:27SPEAKER_03: He managed South End and he started saying about his own team, calling them Southampton.

- 36:18SPEAKER_03: Phil Neville got a lot.
- 36:20SPEAKER_04: A couple of managers loved Lasot, but Phil was in a lot of squads.
- 36:24SPEAKER_04: Did he play them?
- 36:28SPEAKER_04: Ickley and all the lads, but Lasau was left back for a long time.
- 36:32SPEAKER_04: See, what McManiman said in a 442 interview?
- 36:36SPEAKER_04: What?

- 36:48SPEAKER_04: No, he went wrong.
- 36:50SPEAKER_04: So Graeme Lasor, Phil Neville, who has the most England caps?
- 36:53SPEAKER_00: I reckon Phil Neville was a bench warmer all the time for England.
- 36:56SPEAKER_04: He was he was involved a lot, but like actually getting on the pitch, though, that's the thing.
- 36:59SPEAKER_04: So Adam's saying Phil Neville was a bench warmer.
- 37:01SPEAKER_04: I'm going Graham Lassaw.
- 37:03SPEAKER_04: Lasau for more caps.
- 37:05SPEAKER_03: Yeah.

- 37:18SPEAKER_03: No.
- 37:19SPEAKER_03: Who?
- 37:19SPEAKER_04: Gary wouldn't have gone 100, but he got 86 or something.

- 37:44SPEAKER_04: This is a good one.
- 37:46SPEAKER_04: 85?
- 37:46SPEAKER_04: What did I guess?
- 37:47SPEAKER_04: 86.
- 37:51SPEAKER_04: This is a good one.
- 37:52SPEAKER_04: Or mate Darren Anderton or David Platt.
- 37:57SPEAKER_04: See Glenn Hodley loved Ander, didn't he?
- 38:03SPEAKER_03: He played at loads of tournaments.
- 38:05SPEAKER_03: They both played at tournaments.
- 38:07SPEAKER_03: See Platt scored some important goals, didn't he?
- 38:09SPEAKER_03: But I don't know.

- 38:13SPEAKER_04: Darren Anderton or David Platt, who has the most caps for England?
- 38:16SPEAKER_04: I'll go Platt.
- 38:19SPEAKER_04: Anderton's 30 caps?
- 38:21SPEAKER_04: Platt 62 caps.
- 38:24SPEAKER_04: Anderton's 30 caps, seven goals.
- 38:27SPEAKER_04: That's a good return, actually.
- 38:28SPEAKER_04: Platt 62 caps, 27 goals.
- 38:31SPEAKER_04: He was the first one to play, was it the Christmas tree formation?
- 38:33SPEAKER_04: He played off the sponsor.
- 38:35SPEAKER_04: In the 1990s, whose strip sponsor was Sanderson?
- 38:39SPEAKER_04: Sheffer Wednesday.
- 38:40SPEAKER_04: Correct.
- 38:41SPEAKER_04: What do Peter Crouch, Neil Ruddick, and Stephen Colker have in common?
- 38:46SPEAKER_01: All play for Liverpool?
- 38:48SPEAKER_01: And Tottenham.
- 38:51SPEAKER_01: And fucking hell.
- 38:55SPEAKER_01: Southampton?
- 38:57SPEAKER_01: No.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 38:59SPEAKER_01: Is it bloody hell?
- 39:01SPEAKER_04: And another?
- 39:03SPEAKER_04: And another?
- 39:05SPEAKER_04: They all play for Liverpool?
- 39:06SPEAKER_04: They all play Millwall.
- 39:10SPEAKER_04: No.
- 39:11SPEAKER_04: No.
- 39:12SPEAKER_04: I'm just thinking they're crowded.
- 39:14SPEAKER_04: So who have you said?
- 39:15SPEAKER_04: Peter Crouch, Neilbrook, and Stephen Colkan.
- 39:18SPEAKER_04: Yes.
- 39:18SPEAKER_04: They've all played for QPR, Spurs, Liverpool, and South Hampton.
- 39:23SPEAKER_04: Good.
- 39:26SPEAKER_04: Right, there's a question from Jeff.
- 39:28SPEAKER_04: Shows, doesn't it?
- 39:29SPEAKER_04: Question from Jeff for the Carl fans.
- 39:31SPEAKER_04: Message this answer on Insta.
- 39:33SPEAKER_04: Not YouTube.
- 39:34SPEAKER_04: YouTube is Kane or Owen.
- 39:37SPEAKER_04: You're gonna complicate things here.
- 39:39SPEAKER_04: It's not odd.
- 39:41SPEAKER_04: It's not odd, right?
- 39:43SPEAKER_04: Message this answer.
- 39:45SPEAKER_04: Jeff's question on Instagram.
- 39:48SPEAKER_04: On YouTube, it's Kane or Owen and the pump.
- 39:51SPEAKER_04: Yeah.
- 39:52SPEAKER_04: Carl reached the final of the Football League trophy at the Millennium Stadium in 2003 and 2006.
- 39:58SPEAKER_04: Which player was on the bench for both games but never made it onto the pitch?
- 40:03SPEAKER_04: That's for them.
- 40:06SPEAKER_04: And when he had it done.
- 40:07SPEAKER_04: So tonight we're here, Carl V.
- 40:10SPEAKER_04: Harrigate.
- 40:10SPEAKER_04: We just had Paul Thurwell in, uh, ex-Carlisle player, captain it uh Wembley when they lifted the trophy.
- 40:17SPEAKER_04: Oh so he was, yeah.
- 40:18SPEAKER_04: My good pal, we'd done our apprenticeship together at Sunderland, stayed very good mates, and then we ended up here together um in the centre of midfield for Carlisle uh for a few years, which was good fun.
- 40:29SPEAKER_03: Did you behave in each other's company?
- 40:31SPEAKER_03: Yeah, yeah.
- 40:32SPEAKER_04: Merv always used to say, so I'd walk in, I'd say, Where's Thur?
- 40:35SPEAKER_04: Or he'd walk in and go, Where's Balz?
- 40:38SPEAKER_04: It's like you've got to be together all the time.
- 40:41SPEAKER_04: Like, well, I have to, Murph, because you're talking 352 in 2007.
- 40:46SPEAKER_04: Um there's a picture he used to read the um what's there used to do?
- 40:50SPEAKER_04: Remember the daily sport?
- 40:51SPEAKER_04: And people used to write in Thursday the letters in off people, and they were dead dirty, weren't they?
- 40:58SPEAKER_04: I remember Joe Aniense's first day.
- 41:01SPEAKER_04: So Joe's sitting there and Thur's reading out this bloody thing about someone doing something in the woods, and Joe's like laughing his head off, and he's just new, and you're like, Thur man, give it a rest.
- 41:11SPEAKER_04: But like it kind of like it was good.
- 41:13SPEAKER_04: Broke the ice broke the ice, yeah.
- 41:15SPEAKER_04: But I remember there's a picture of Britney and he went, Bas, couldn't I pull her?
- 41:20SPEAKER_04: And I went, absolutely no chance.
- 41:21SPEAKER_04: He went, What?
- 41:22SPEAKER_04: In my pump.
- 41:24SPEAKER_04: Kirky loves that one.
- 41:26SPEAKER_04: Um, so yeah, Harrogate tonight, he's told us a little bit of how they'll go about it.
- 41:31SPEAKER_04: Obviously, we're not gonna how they would like to go about it.
- 41:34SPEAKER_04: Didn't go into depth, but where's the good target?
- 41:36SPEAKER_04: What do you think Carlisle might go with it, what he thinks of the league, and we'll talk about that next week.
- 41:40SPEAKER_05: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 41:42SPEAKER_04: Um so tonight, Harrogate.
- 41:44SPEAKER_04: As we've said, it's a tough test.
- 41:46SPEAKER_04: They're up there.
- 41:47SPEAKER_04: We expect to be up there.
- 41:49SPEAKER_04: Hopefully, this is the start of us climbing the league, and there's plenty more points to play for.
- 41:53SPEAKER_04: Good signing tonight with Callum Camps.
- 41:55SPEAKER_04: Linny, hopefully, fit.
- 41:57SPEAKER_04: Azure boy got a bit of ball at the minute.
- 42:00SPEAKER_04: But I don't I wouldn't want him in his ease coming on and doing well when they've come on, start the game, start well, do well.
- 42:07SPEAKER_03: But yeah, forms.
- 42:08SPEAKER_03: I mean, well, not form results, results are good.
- 42:11SPEAKER_03: Um, some good performances, some not so good.
- 42:13SPEAKER_03: But like you say, you just want to get that run together and get in the playoffs because it's gonna be the playoffs now, isn't it?
- 42:18SPEAKER_03: Yeah, I mean, Boringwood are the only team in Europe, Britain, Europe, not to lose this season.
- 42:23SPEAKER_03: So they're gonna walk away with it, aren't they?
- 42:25SPEAKER_03: It looks like that anyway, bar and a disaster.
- 42:27SPEAKER_03: Um, play the right way as well, and a squad of fifth.
- 42:30SPEAKER_03: The right way, managers managers great, isn't he?
- 42:32SPEAKER_03: Um, he knows what he's doing.
- 42:33SPEAKER_03: So, but yeah, tonight I think it's gotta be I fancy us tonight.
- 42:37SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we're gonna do a little bit of filming while we're watching, and depends how angry or happy we get.
- 42:43SPEAKER_04: Yeah, we'll release some.
- 42:44SPEAKER_03: Could be a lot of editing, but we'll see.
- 42:46SPEAKER_04: Weekend preview in the all games were off last week, shock for the Sunder League.
- 42:50SPEAKER_04: But it's a big battle in the Premier League, it's a big battle at the bottom as Dalston play Goslin Bridge.
- 42:56SPEAKER_04: Goslin Bridge just opened again.
- 42:58SPEAKER_04: Please, plea, can we cue along the bar?
- 43:02SPEAKER_04: Both four better than they've shown.

- 43:11SPEAKER_04: Harraby player Denton home with Harrowby looking to regain a bit of form, and DH looking to stay at the top.

- 43:24SPEAKER_04: In Division 2, there's just two games this weekend as Clubhouse play top of the table beehive.
- 43:29SPEAKER_04: Oh, they both eat at good places.
- 43:31SPEAKER_04: If we get there in the sun, there might be food in there.
- 43:33SPEAKER_04: Clubhouse needn't need to start a bit of form if they want a challenge at the top, as expected.
- 43:38SPEAKER_04: And Eden Town host Carl Rivas looking to get back into gear after a loss last time at Up the Bee.
- 43:44SPEAKER_04: Thank you again to Mark Orchard for this brilliant box where we're going to watch the match from.
