- Daniel: Glenn, we are back from the Georgia Vandy game. And A, had a great time. B, Athens fantastic as always. C, great seeing a bunch of you guys. ⁓ always fun to be in Athens. Molly. Holly. Holly. Holly. I'm so sorry. Holly and Zach. I know. You and Zach. We loved you guys. Stop it. Okay. let's talk about Gunnar Stockton. Because Georgia fans are not. Okay, 77 of 102. Hold up. Let me do some quick maths. We don't have to because it's 102 attempts. The percentages are very easy. Okay. 76%. ⁓ look at that. Okay. So for over a thousand yards. ⁓ 1,049 yards. Which is over 10 yards per attempt. Over thirteen yards per completion. So when he completes a ball, which is 76% of the time, uh-huh, it goes thirteen yards down the field. But I'm told Gunnar Stockton can't push the ball down the field. He just throws the little screen game. He just throws the little quick out game. That's all he can do. That average is with the screen game. Yeah, he does do that and it's effective. And then he also pushes the ball down the field. Like we saw today, which I mean, roll Dan. no. ⁓ Black Shear. ⁓ Black Shear. Welcome to the party. ⁓ peanut out of the backfield. Hello, sir. We do enjoy you. The passing game is clicking. Elias Williams, red zone threat. Who could have seen that coming? That Elias Williams would be a red zone threat. Honestly, weird. ⁓ Jaden Riddell and Elias Williams over the middle in the intermediate game. Yes. Craig Dandrich. Yes. ⁓ you mentioned Blackshear already. A lot of intermediate stuff completed today. Zacovi White should have had a touchdown. E easy ten-yard touchdown pass. And Gunnar read it perfectly. Put a back shoulder. Put the ball only where Socovi White could have had it. He should have come down with it. That's on you. So ten yards per attempt. Thirteen yards per completion. Holy Jesus. Throwing the ball down the field. Sixty-seven percent completion percentage. Thirteen touchdowns, one interception. So it's like thirteen to one interception two. Sounds like touchdown to interception ratio. Now, listen, is he gonna put up five thousand yards passing this year? No, he's not. He's not gonna lead this league in passing. Look is is the Georgia receiver gonna lead Is that are they going to compete with Jeremiah Smith to lead college football in receiving yards? No, because Georgia spreads it around. They throw it to the open guy. They don't force feed it to one guy. Ask Talon Taylor if he's mad. That he I'll tell you what Talon Taylor's mad at. He's mad that he had a ball hit him in the hand. Now it was only one hand, it would have been an amazing catch down the sideline. He had a ball opportunity on a deep shot that again, Georgia pushing the ball down the field. What we saw out of Gunnar Stockton today, Clint, is he is a top tier quarterback in the SEC. Yes. Just like we said he was. And there's some good quarterbacks in the SEC. We're gonna play one next week. And Keelan Russell, he's a very good quarterback in the SEC. But guys, Gunnar Stockton is him. He doesn't do Keelon Russell, doesn't do what Gunnar Stockton is able to do with all levels of the past game. He's not a game manager. He's not a safe quarterback. He's not a, well, if you can't find anybody better quarterback, I'm telling you, there's a lot of quarterbacks in the country you could put on this roster, and Gunnar Stockton would still be the starter at Georgia. A lot. And I'm talking about like all but three. Yeah. Yep. Like, I mean, that's where we are with Gunnar Stockton, this Georgia offense. Georgia fans will never be satisfied. No, ever. They'll never be happy. ⁓ If you want to be upset about something offensively, and I know you do because Mike Bobo coaches that side of the ball, we can't run the ball, Clint. We can't run the ball even a little bit. We talked about that on ⁓ the locked on show. We all of you wishing that Nate Frazier stayed healthy and not play this game. He was going to. We needed him desperately to get anything more than two and a half yards. I mean, I I don't know how many carries he ended up with. I like two or three. Like four yeah, maybe four. It wasn't a ton. I Kirby did not want to put him in in this game at all. Did not. But Chauncey Bowen's I don't know what to say at at this point. Chauncey Bowen's not it. Like he's he's not playing well at all. Nope. If Georgia doesn't figure out this run game, they're gonna get they're gonna get beaten by Alabama soundly. You can't be one dimensional against Alabama. Is their defense that good, Alabama's? No, it's not. But is their offense really clicking on a lot of different levels? Yes, it is. So you're gonna need to keep up with this Alabama offense if you're Georgia. And if you if you're one dimensional, you're not gonna get it done. Dwight Phillips, five carries, twenty seven rushing yards, five point four yards per carry. That's acceptable. Okay. Sure. Chauncey Bones, ten carries, thirty one yards, three point one yards per carry. Chauncey Bowens is a three yard runner. He's p He never gets less than three yards. He never gets more than three yards. Like it it's crazy. How many total rushing yards did Georgia have in this game? ⁓ we had total rushing yards ⁓ 176. Okay. Bo Walker had 60 of those on one carry. 116. Take that out. Roughly 116 rushing yards in a game. It was an unacceptably poor performance from the Georgia running game. We just could not. Run the ball when we needed to, when we wanted to. We had this weird death march in the fourth quarter that was the funkiest death march. I mean, it got the job done. It was like six and a half minutes off the clock and we went down and scored a touchdown. but just a weird performance from this Georgia offense. All right. On the other hand, we thought the defense was terrible. Here's what I'm gonna ask you. Because again, we recorded on the locked on show, you can listen to that. We're not gonna just regurgitate our takes over here. No. Here's what I'm gonna ask you, Clint. It are there changes to be made on the defensive side of the ball from a personnel standpoint? Or is this just coaching, players out of position? I mean, we saw the secondary Clint get cooked. All day long. All day long. We could talk about the missed tackles and it was bad. Missed tackles was awful. But there were guys wide open fifteen, twenty yards down the field all day. This is a so this is a a systematic kind of symptomatic, I should say, problem. When the defensive backs aren't holding up. The we were getting home. We were getting enough pressure. But Blaze was able to get the ball out to wide open receivers where he should he shouldn't have had those safety valves open and guys running and streaking open. If he didn't, he has to double clutch, he has to bring the ball down. Sacks are taking place, and the defense is able to get going. Again, that doesn't change the fact that we couldn't tackle him. Rashawn Dinkins, you you're on notice. I I don't want to right now, I don't want to see you in the lineup. Go practice better because as of this moment, you you don't have assignments that you are doing well. Not your attitude, not your your skill. You're a skilled man. You you're out of a s that touchdown pass was because you KJ Bold missed a tackle. Again, missed tackle. Rashawn Dinkins, you didn't line up on your assignment. You he was completely out of position several times. Georgia's Georgia is prone to bust in the secondary. We saw it against Oklahoma, Clint. We saw it against Oklahoma. We saw it against Arkansas, Clint. Yeah. We saw it. Georgia's prone to bust in the secondary. Now, the tackling today was particularly alarming because we just hadn't seen that out of this Georgia's. That's brand new. Maybe it's an anomaly. Maybe it's whatever. Sure. Did you see by the way, Raylan Wilson go up to Rashawn Dinkins after they had three receivers, we had two, we were doing a jailbreak blitz, we were man coverage, cover zero. Rashawn Dinkins didn't line up, cover his man. Raylan Wilson went over, grabbed him, started chatting with him alone as they were walking back to the huddle. That gave me okay, Raylan. I see you. I see you, Raylan, taking that N'Cobe Dean role a little bit on this defense. That was cool to see. But yeah, we need to see more of that. Like we need to see. Because I I just again, I just don't think Georgia has answers in the secondary. No. Jamar Lee Riddle is not playing. He's not playing. He is not playing. There's some things that are about about his game that are not ready to play. Period. Full stop. So There's some issues. Clinton and I are going to be here all week, Alabama week this week.
