- 0:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you so much for watching and listening here in the United States and across the world.
- 0:09Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you can do us big favors, give us a thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, re-share, repost.
- 0:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And even if you can uh pull out your phone that's not already out and uh share the Voices for Voices podcast with 25 of your contacts.
- 0:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That would be very much appreciative.
- 0:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um on our way to reach and help at least three billion people over the course of my lifetime and beyond.
- 0:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That's right, three billion people with the B billion.
- 0:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Big goals, big aspirations.
- 0:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're doing it, and we're doing it because of you.
- 1:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Without you, we wouldn't have a show, we wouldn't have a reason uh to continue past the first episode, and here we are over 530 episodes later, and there's still the demand to watch and to listen to hard topics, to easy topics, to solo episodes, and guest episodes.
- 1:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you for joining us.
- 1:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We are so grateful that you are here with us, whether this is your first show or you've been with us from the beginning.
- 1:42Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'll tell you what, uh I talk about this a lot as of late.
- 1:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Oh, yeah, this, yeah.
- 1:56Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So when I get when I have extra anxiety, extra stress, then like I start getting bored and kind of like when I used to have acne growing up, and you know, I pick at it and be all gross and that.
- 2:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So this part here's healing.
- 2:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So if you're listening, there's a part on my cheek where uh there's a scab, so it's healing.
- 2:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh start the healing process.
- 2:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh yeah, I actually before we get into that, uh I'm not sure.
- 2:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So my hair is become a topic uh that that comes up uh more than I would I would think.
- 2:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh growing up, and right, we we can make different decisions, we can change and and and that, I get it.
- 3:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Growing up, and for most of my years, except when I had the frosted tips, uh, I would have buzz, like a buzz cut haircut.
- 3:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And now I'm at the point where I have it a little bit longer, and so it's a little bit wavy, somewhat curly in in certain spots.
- 3:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And as I look at myself uh on camera here, uh it uh is very noticeable, and it there's been a few people in the last week that have commented on it.
- 3:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh and I never thought I would be able to have the patience to do it because that was the that was the other part.
- 3:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like when you have like a buzz cut, uh it it doesn't take a whole lot of upkeep.
- 4:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh longer hair, if it goes too too long, it it gets real oily, at least that's what my hair is.
- 4:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Um, and and so yeah, I have this longer hair, so I'm getting used to like seeing it and having people talk about it and bringing up in conversation.
- 4:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh so that I I I had to I had to throw that out.
- 4:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So if you're feeling something different, and if you've had shorter hair or longer hair and you want to change it up, and yeah, why not?
- 4:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Give it a give it a shot.
- 4:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You don't know until you have it.
- 4:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And if you don't if you don't try, then you're you're not gonna know if it is something that you might like.
- 5:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh so yeah, the hair.
- 5:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So it's it's a thing, I guess.
- 5:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I don't I don't know that I have to make social media handles for my hair.
- 5:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh I think I'm gonna have to start making one for Lucy, though.
- 5:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: She's she's getting quite the feedback.
- 5:19Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh and so that that may may be coming at at some point.
- 5:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll we'll see uh about that.
- 5:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But what I was uh alluding to at the outset is nothing's easy.
- 5:41Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Nothing's easy that's that's worth anything.
- 5:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I'm not speaking for other people, I'm speaking for myself.
- 5:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You win the games, you win the auditions, you perform at a higher level when you practice, when you train, when you work out.
- 6:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so a lot of a lot of individuals who are successful, well, we'll talk about that.
- 6:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I'm just gonna give you an example.
- 6:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Two examples, actually.
- 6:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So one is a Saturday night.
- 6:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: In the past, a Saturday night would mean for me binge drinking, going to the club, and all that.
- 6:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That that's so far in the past, now it that's that's the old Johnson.
- 7:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Now Saturday night, Saturday afternoon depends.
- 7:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh that I find myself just thinking in my mind, is there anything I can do to help the organization?
- 7:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Which by helping voices for voices, I'm helping others in the end.
- 7:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so whether that's filming other shows, whether that's dropping merchandise, like we we had a huge drop in merchandise uh and seven messages on mythical creatures around the world.
- 7:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you didn't see it, you have Facebook, you need to follow mythical creatures around the world.
- 7:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we did that.
- 8:00Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So that was something most of most of my Saturday kind of went went to that, but again, a lot of people are out and about doing their things, and I and that's fine.
- 8:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I guess this is part of me being an introvert.
- 8:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: That if I'm going to a store, I go in, I know what I want, I'm gonna pick it out, and then I'm gonna go check out.
- 8:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If not, then I have all kinds of um what they call them, uh like point of sale merchandise, you know, whether that's candy or chips or what would have you.
- 8:58Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, and then I end up with all these um impulse.
- 9:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There we go.
- 9:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: All these impulse purchases.
- 9:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh so that was that was my my Saturday.
- 9:17Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Obviously, spent some time with family, and then the next day is today.
- 9:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I I get it.
- 9:30Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, people have stuff going on.
- 9:33Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: People have stuff going on every day of the week.
- 9:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's not there's not any day of the week that people don't have something that's going on.
- 9:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's just the way it is.
- 10:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Did a workout.
- 10:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And again, I just mentioned you know people have things going on.
- 10:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: They're they're traveling here and there on vacation, having cookouts, picnics, that, and I went to the gym.
- 10:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so I look I look forward a period of time where I I'm gonna be thinking in my mind, man, I wish I would have gone to the gym, I wish I would have worked out, I wish I wish I would have uh been more structured about about the the gym or whatever that may be.
- 11:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And and so when I talk about, you know, we win the auditions, we win the games, we win the things, a musical performance, a uh a talk, uh, a speech, you know, that that's really when we we win are the times before the actual thing.
- 11:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so not only for me, maybe for you as well, maybe, just maybe that's you as well.
- 11:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or maybe not, I don't know.
- 11:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not you.
- 12:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't I don't know um I I don't know what all you have going on.
- 12:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Uh but sometimes we we get the gig, we get the job, we get whatever it may be, and we just go, oh wow, I really didn't have to do much to get it.
- 12:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or I'm I'm done that I don't have to do anymore because I got it, I got the thing, and that's so far from the truth, so far, and I could feel it today.
- 12:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I could feel it when I was at the gym.
- 12:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I was one person, and this is a big gym, this is a humongous, lots of options for a period of at least a half hour that I started recognizing.
- 13:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Let's see if I can get this.
- 13:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Okay.
- 13:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: At least for a half hour was I the only one in the gym.
- 13:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Again, people have things to do.
- 13:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I get it.
- 13:40Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But what I did today is only one thing by going to the gym and working out.
- 13:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But what I did today is gonna approve dividends in the future.
- 14:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so when people come at voices for voices, come at me for whatever may be, we're just outworking people, we're outworking organizations.
- 14:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I have no shame for that.
- 14:28Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I have no, I don't even know.
- 14:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because everybody's given kind of the same, not the exact same cards, but are you given in general around about the same cards?
- 14:52Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because your higher power for me, if God, He's gonna put things in my life and give me the decision that Justin.
- 15:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Here's a thing.
- 15:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Do you want to do it or not?
- 15:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Sometimes I say, no, I need I need the rest.
- 15:11Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we take days off from the gym.
- 15:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: No big deal.
- 15:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Our body, our muscles, we need we we need rest.
- 15:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We need rest from the gym, we need rest in general, just resting overnight, getting sleep.
- 15:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so for all of you out there watching, listening, or know somebody, it is, and you feel like you're alone.
- 15:49Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Number one is it's hard, it's hard to have the type of goals that at least for me, for we're talking about, you know, reaching and helping three billion.
- 16:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like, I can't just do like an eight to five thing.
- 16:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I can't, I can't just, you know, take days and days off.
- 16:14Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like if I do that, the thing ain't gonna happen.
- 16:20Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's gonna be no chance for it to happen because I didn't put in the work when I had the opportunity, and I get it.
- 16:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's so many days where I don't feel like going to the gym, I don't feel like practicing, I don't feel like, I don't feel like, and you just fill in the blank where we just don't feel like doing it today, and then the next day, and then the next day, and then that fear starts creeping in, like, all right, missed three days.
- 17:06Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Are we gonna go back?
- 17:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like, what's the deal?
- 17:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And I know it I might be at that honeymoon phase for the gym.
- 17:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I get it.
- 17:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But right now, right here, I'm doing it, and that's all I can that's so that's the only thing I can do Just think about and do the best I can with the amount of time I'm given and that's why when I often get asked How did you know you wanted to do this?
- 17:57Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Why did you how did this come about?
- 18:05Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: How did you get to interview a gold gold medalist Oksana Bayul when you weren't gonna be in town the day she was gonna be in town?
- 18:24Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It's because I reached out and asked, and I said, Hey, any way we can make this work?
- 18:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Could have said no.
- 18:32Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just using this as one example.
- 18:35Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But somehow, someway, made it happen, got the job done, got the interview.
- 18:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Such a lovely person.
- 18:46Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So kind.
- 18:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so I could have just not asked, I could have just been like, alright, playing my plans changed.
- 19:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I'm just gonna miss out on this opportunity.
- 19:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Sometimes that's warranty.
- 19:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But if we don't at least try, we don't know what what could could have been, should have been, may it have been.
- 19:37Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we gotta just we gotta we gotta look at these goals and if the work ethic and and such aren't matching.
- 20:02Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Like I don't even I don't even know where where we're at as far as usually the I see a stat with how many how many shows we've filmed and dropped in the last 30 days.
- 20:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There have been times it's been like 33 days, 33 shows in 30 days.
- 20:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's been times where it's been 10 shows in 30 days, and so it's a little bit of a barometer, and I just think I'm just gonna try.
- 20:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't know what's gonna happen, I don't know what the outcome is gonna be.
- 20:48Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm just gonna try, I'm gonna ask.
- 20:51Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Worst thing to say no.
- 20:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Actually, the worst thing is not to even hear back, not to get a response, not to get any feedback at all.
- 21:01Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And that that part stings.
- 21:07Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So some people are like, you know, you're doing the you know, you're doing some solo shows.
- 21:13Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Yeah, I'm doing solo shows.
- 21:16Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because last time I checked, I'm a human being.
- 21:21Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I'm a human being going through human emotions, human experiences, human events, and just about every every day as a little different twist and turn.
- 21:44Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And so I say to those individuals that ask, Well, how did you decide to do this or do this thing?
- 21:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: One is the goal.
- 21:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Two is If I don't put in the work, the thing isn't gonna happen.
- 22:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We don't have hundreds of millions of followers.
- 22:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So we can't just rely on that.
- 22:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I do know we have a lot more followers and people that tune in than what the public analytics shows.
- 22:39Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But we can't we can't just sit on our laurels and go, okay, well, it'll happen.
- 22:50Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or this is boring.
- 22:54Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I don't feel like doing it anymore.
- 22:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Trust me, there's a lot of things that are boring in life that we don't feel like doing.
- 23:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: But like I was at the gym today for that period of time where I was the only one in this humongous gym complex, I know in the days, the weeks, the months ahead, I'm gonna be better prepared because of a day like today, where I could have been like others and stayed home.
- 23:55Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: You know, some you know, if I'm traveling and there's not a gym nearby, and the time changes and all of that.
- 24:04Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: There's gonna be those times, but I can only do the best that I can with the circumstances.
- 24:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So right now, where I'm at, it'd be silly for me not to go to the gym to do a workout.
- 24:23Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It'd be silly, it really would.
- 24:27Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: It'd be really silly.
- 24:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So when you don't feel like it, and I don't feel like it, and others don't feel like it What's the action?
- 24:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: What's the outcome?
- 24:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Even though we don't want to is the outcome that we have overcome that and when we went and did it anyways on more times than not.
- 25:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Or do we just pack it in and go, alright, that's that's good.
- 25:31Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'll wait till tomorrow.
- 25:34Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'll wait till next week.
- 25:38Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And again, I'm talking about like a 30-minute to an hour workout, so I'm not talking about like an eight-hour workout.
- 25:45Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I'm not talking like so, and some of the stuff I'm lifting the bar, I'm not even putting weight on because I just want I just want to use the word tone, like T-O-N-E.
- 26:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I want to get toned at the D on the end.
- 26:18Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Not looking for these huge muscles.
- 26:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I just want to be toned.
- 26:25Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: I want to fit in some of the clothes that I've outgrown and have had to spend so much money to get bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger sizes.
- 26:43Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So I'm doing it for others, but also doing it for me, and so you should do it for others, and also yourself.
- 26:59Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Because when you feel good and you go, wow, like this belt or this pair of shorts, this pair of pants, or you name it, I'm starting this is starting to get a little bit looser, so maybe I'll look at one of the smaller sizes, and that doesn't mean that that's got to be the goal, you know, diet pills and all this stuff of wanting to look like people we see on social media that looks like they're always on vacation, they're always doing these, you know, exotic, fun things.
- 27:47Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We gotta do it for ourselves, and we also gotta do it for others if the work they were doing is to help others, and we are helping others.
- 28:12Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Thank you for watching, listening to this episode.
- 28:15Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: If you can give us the big thumbs up, like, follow, subscribe, share, reshare, repost.
- 28:22Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Pull out your phone if it's not already pulled out, and share the Voices for Voices podcast with 25 or 50 or 100 contacts in your phone.
- 28:36Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We're greatly appreciative that you have spent some time with us, and we look forward to spending additional time together in the near future.
- 28:53Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: So let's be a voice for not only us, but someone else in need that might not be able to share their voice.
- 29:03Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: And then let's celebrate the voices of everybody in the world.
- 29:08Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: We'll see you next time.
- 29:10Voices for Voices, Justin Alan Hayes: Bye bye for now.
