Transcript
- 0:02What it do, what it do, what it do?
- 0:05It is your boy Andrew Schultz AKA Mr. Goody 2 Shoes and who am
- 0:09I with? As always, Joseph Huggins AKA
- 0:12Old Man Huggy. Talk shit or get off the pod.
- 0:15Episode 179. Oh get to stomping in my guitar
- 0:21Force One. Welcome, motherfuckers.
- 0:27I did some wild like cowboy music to start off rather than
- 0:32the normal shit. So it was like, yeah.
- 0:35Your video is twitching on my side of the things.
- 0:39It's crazy. Like you look like you're like
- 0:42having a seizure. Mine's like super smooth always.
- 0:47It's your. It's your shit.
- 0:49Dude, I know it's always wise. I have this like mega.
- 0:54I've been getting this room built the fuck out.
- 0:56It's taking me forever, forever. Like there's like if you look
- 1:00over my shoulder, there's just like boxes all over the fucking
- 1:04floor still. But it's getting there.
- 1:06And I've been losing my voice slowly, but yeah.
- 1:09How you feeling? I mean, I feel fine.
- 1:13I am surrounded by a bunch of people that are sick all the
- 1:16time, so I'm OK. It's just like my voice, it's
- 1:20just my throat. It doesn't even hurt.
- 1:23I've just been like chugging water, drinking Liquid IV so
- 1:27I'll be fine. My immune system is like hella
- 1:31strong so I'll be OK. Sounds like it.
- 1:35It was worse like 2 days ago and I mean I had.
- 1:38What's wrong with you? Fuck if I know.
- 1:43Sore throat but I had like Cinco de Mayo.
- 1:45Then there was all this graduation shit all week.
- 1:48Then Mother's Day is really crazy so I probably put in like
- 1:517075 hours last week and I think it just caught up with me but
- 1:57I'm OK. OK.
- 2:00I'm alive, I can go deeper and I'll be fine.
- 2:04No, there we go. But my normal voice it like I
- 2:07have to like Chuck water so every time I take a sip I'll be
- 2:11like yo it sucks fucking sucks. I have pounded like 2 packs of
- 2:18Ricola yesterday just like and I'm in Ricola's with the shit
- 2:22Ricola. I got detention for saying that
- 2:26over and over again. I was.
- 2:27Just going to say, didn't we used to like yell at?
- 2:29Yeah, I used to be like. Annoying.
- 2:33And try to make it echo. And it was like, if you don't
- 2:35fucking stop. And I was like, can't stop,
- 2:38won't stop, bitch, what are you talking about?
- 2:43Cool. How are you holding that man?
- 2:46Are you doing good? Yeah, I'm, I'm doing.
- 2:49Good any anything change anything different you still?
- 2:54Just leave it at the last episode and just keep a trill
- 2:59here all. Right, man, I'm just checking in
- 3:01on you. I'm sure, you know, I have some
- 3:02people that that I know that listened to the pod pretty
- 3:06religiously and they were, you know, just wanted to check in on
- 3:10you, make sure you're good, enjoyed the conversation and the
- 3:13realness of it as well. It's weird because like, like
- 3:19almost like everybody I know, I feel like listening to that
- 3:21episode, like I was getting like text, like, you know what Braids
- 3:25said? He texted me.
- 3:26He goes, he goes first, first full episode I've listened to.
- 3:31And then he had notes on on the topics that he was like, he's
- 3:36like, you guys could do a whole episode about lynching and the
- 3:39civil rights movement. And then he's like, and then you
- 3:41could do a separate episode about like, you know, like, I
- 3:45don't even know, like the Middle East or something.
- 3:46I forget what it was, but I'm like, whoa, whoa, dude.
- 3:50Episode 178, first full episode you listened to?
- 3:55Yeah, he's a busy man. He says that except for we
- 4:00Indonesia popped up as one of the countries that started
- 4:04listening at the same time my brother was in Indonesia and I
- 4:08texted him and I said, you listen to the pod.
- 4:10He's like, yeah, it came on. But like I.
- 4:14Skipped it. Yeah, that's what it kind of be
- 4:16said. I think it's like if that's
- 4:18true, fuck you, but I but I bet it's not true.
- 4:21You are listening. Well, shout out braids, dude.
- 4:24Listen international, that's what I like.
- 4:27Braids, my boy. Good man.
- 4:33Globetrotting shout out. Braids shout out Chad.
- 4:38Chad, the country. Yeah, dude, I'm totally
- 4:41listening now. Like, oh, that doesn't hurt my
- 4:44voice at all. Yeah dude, like I'm totally
- 4:47listening now. Like my daddy owns 3 Volvo
- 4:50dealerships. So like I got a lot of downtime
- 4:52and I started listening to the pod date.
- 4:54It's pretty tight. It's really good when I'm like
- 4:57playing golf on a Tuesday, you know, just hitting balls at the
- 5:00range at 12:30 in the afternoon because that's what, you know,
- 5:03rich people do. God damn.
- 5:07Sorry, that's pretty spot on. I There's this girl that.
- 5:10For the audience, Chad, the country, we have a new listener
- 5:14there. Yeah, I mean, they probably
- 5:15don't sound like that at all. There's a girl that works for
- 5:19me, and she's always like, I need to find a rich guy to marry
- 5:23me. And I'm like, what you need to
- 5:24do is like take off a weekday, go try to learn how to play golf
- 5:29because you don't know how. And go hang out at the driving
- 5:33range. If there's a dude who's at the
- 5:34driving range on a Wednesday at 12:30, just hitting golf balls,
- 5:41you can see the parking lot. So you can see whatever he pulls
- 5:44up and parks in. You can see his transportation.
- 5:48He's going to be like, hey, do you need help?
- 5:50Like those guys are all about that.
- 5:52There you go. Quickest way golf.
- 5:56Go learn how to play golf, not pickleball.
- 5:57You already said this on the pot like recent.
- 6:00I know but or but not pickleball cause pickleball it's a little
- 6:03bit more up there in age unless you're going to like, you know,
- 6:08Anna Nicole Smith, it marry some like 70 year old billionaire I.
- 6:11Don't know about that dude. Like all all my homies are
- 6:13playing pickleball. Go play tennis.
- 6:21Well, that no, they're actually are playing like I'm in the the
- 6:23group chat is they're scheduling tennis this weekend and they're
- 6:26trying to come over to my courts.
- 6:27And I was like, Nah, dude, locals only because we've, we've
- 6:31got like. Savage, you don't even use them
- 6:35and you're just like Nah bro sorry I'll turn you.
- 6:38In I mean, there are like legit courts over here, like right
- 6:40across the street. You're like the white lady that
- 6:43calls the cops on a black kid in the public pool.
- 6:45Like residence only. No, I'm like, I'm like.
- 6:49Get out of here, Candace. You're.
- 6:51The Hawaiian surfer who's just like Agra.
- 6:54No, I'm just getting on to people.
- 6:56You local. No, it was just funny because he
- 6:59was suggesting the courts that are by the Iron Ape and I who
- 7:03are in this group text. However, the Iron Ape and I were
- 7:06not going to be participating in the tennis.
- 7:09Well, we had yet to say whether or not we were.
- 7:12So it's like they're they're planning this tennis outing
- 7:17across the street from the splash pad without us.
- 7:21Well, not without us, but. Not Splash Bros.
- 7:24I mean, come on. That's right.
- 7:25Hate to rain on your parade, but super splash.
- 7:28Bros. It's like Southridge Lakes
- 7:32Community pool with the code up front.
- 7:34You pass that around like where do you live?
- 7:36Just tell them my address. Nobody knows where you live.
- 7:39Oh did the amount the codes that I have like the of the gated
- 7:44communities in like around here dude it's insane.
- 7:48Oh yeah, I'm sure you're you're deep.
- 7:50You got you. Could just be paparazzi at some
- 7:52point dude. 100%. You could just sell access or.
- 7:57Or like whatever. Like I actually met one of these
- 8:02people. Remember those two girls that
- 8:04were like robbed, like Lindsay Lohan or I don't know if it was
- 8:06Lindsay Lohan, but like robbed like Paris Hilton and like they
- 8:10like it was like a bunch of teenagers, you know, actually
- 8:13hung out with like one of them one time.
- 8:17Wow, I. Know, but that's what you know.
- 8:23I got access to the awards like Jon Hamm in that new show on
- 8:27Apple. Your friend or something about
- 8:29your neighbors and your friends? Your friends and neighbors,
- 8:32Yeah. OK.
- 8:34Just start stealing from his like a watch here and there from
- 8:37his like rich friends 'cause he lost his job.
- 8:40I mean, I would, I mean that's like, you know, this is the SLC.
- 8:45Go drive through gated communities and just smoke weed.
- 8:51That's see, it's funny because like that's where I don't want
- 8:54to smoke weed is when I'm well, that's 'cause like usually I'm
- 8:57like, well, whatever. It's like when I'm in the gated
- 9:01community, they have security. So it's like, I don't want to
- 9:03like that's like I'll, I'll, if I'm going to partake, I'd
- 9:06partake before I go into the gated community.
- 9:10Yeah, but see, it'd be like if you do the code, especially at
- 9:13night, you can park. Cops aren't patrolling it.
- 9:17Yeah, well, I'm thinking I'm in my work truck.
- 9:19Yeah, I mean, that's, you know, you would never do that.
- 9:21But I'm just saying in high school you could park somewhere
- 9:25in like a gated community like by Novskers or some shit like
- 9:28that and back in a cul-de-sac no one's going to fuck with you.
- 9:33Oh yeah, totally. Yeah, yeah.
- 9:34Yeah, like no one's, no one's coming like you're, you're
- 9:36saying. And especially, you know, I got
- 9:38the complexion for the protection.
- 9:39So yeah, I see me. I was just.
- 9:42Like I gotta have I have 10 so I'm like they can't tell I'm
- 9:44black. If they if they only knew,
- 9:46they'd be like, there's a black guy sitting outside our.
- 9:49House, you know what I I, you know what I also have I have a
- 9:53couple of these neighborhoods they just gave me like a printed
- 9:56me out a barcode so I just roll up and they just scan the
- 9:59barcode so like 'cause usually like they'll have to check my ID
- 10:03some if they have the security they're checking the ID.
- 10:05Some of them have a gate code but usually they're checking the
- 10:08ID but like a couple of them are like yo take this and so I just
- 10:12roll up. They scan the bar code so I
- 10:13don't even like say anything. Let's type.
- 10:18The got the G pass it's. Premium access True.
- 10:24Any news from the poker world Sir?
- 10:33Yeah, I did go on Saturday. Oh, I didn't.
- 10:36Think about it. Yeah, I did.
- 10:38I was like, I was like, what happened?
- 10:42Nothing like exciting. But then the other day I played
- 10:46like some love stakes online and I got second.
- 10:50Like I played these sit and go. So eight people at a table, the
- 10:53top three cash. I got second four times in a row
- 10:57and then I went up to a higher buy in and won the whole thing.
- 11:02So five games in a row where I got second or first, but it was
- 11:07actually, it was actually second, second.
- 11:09I get and I'm like, when I saw that, I didn't even realize that
- 11:12it was like I got second four times in a row, like until I
- 11:15went back and looked at it like I have like mastered how to how
- 11:21to play when it's a heads up in that scenario, just with like
- 11:26the blind structure, the timing, the amount of chips.
- 11:29I've done it so many times that like I just, but just like
- 11:34anything else, like bad beats exist, you know, and so it's
- 11:37like, you know, at the end of the day, it's just you 2 and
- 11:40you're flipping cards over and you know, somebody could hit it
- 11:43and win. But so, so when I saw four times
- 11:46in a row second, I was like, dude, that's rare because it's
- 11:48like, that'd be rare if even if you were not good at the heads
- 11:51up. And then the fact that I was
- 11:53that I like, like, I, I trap people so often in that
- 11:58situation. It's just so easy to like, set
- 12:01them up. Well, it's become like a math
- 12:03equation for you, so it's like problem solving rather than.
- 12:08And it's the time because the blinds go up every 5 minutes and
- 12:11and the sitting goes and when you get down to the final two,
- 12:15they're going up a lot. So it's like usually by the time
- 12:19it's the final two, the blinds are 300 and 1:50.
- 12:23And then if it goes longer than that, it goes from 300 to 600
- 12:27and it's a 301 fifty to 603 hundred.
- 12:31And like, and it seems like a lot compared to the amount of
- 12:35chips that are on the table 'cause it, I mean, it is, but I
- 12:38feel like when, when you're not used to it, I think people feel
- 12:43like they, they're running out of time.
- 12:45They're gonna get like the blinds are gonna eat them so
- 12:47that they'll push like on a lesser hand than normal, which
- 12:53is normal when the blinds are high, but like, but they'll do
- 12:55it too soon. So it's like they'll be like
- 12:58going all in, like just trying to steal my blinds and I'll fold
- 13:01full. I'll let them take my blinds and
- 13:03they and they and it looks like that they're like coming up, up,
- 13:06up. But it's like, guess what, dude,
- 13:08not like when I win a hand or if I double up that that also means
- 13:12you've lost it. So it's like a 2 fold.
- 13:14So it's like, yeah, it's like you have 7000 ships and I only
- 13:18have 4000 right now, but if I double up, like you have 3000, I
- 13:23have 8000. You know, it's like, it seems
- 13:25like a huge disparity, but it's not.
- 13:27Yeah, it's like, what do they say?
- 13:29The 20 lead in hockey is like the worst lead ever.
- 13:34That's yeah. No, that's the not the worst
- 13:36lead. It's.
- 13:38The the most deceptive or something like that where it's
- 13:40like it changes like one goal, they're halfway there, another
- 13:43goal they tied. Like it doesn't take that much
- 13:46to come back down from 2 zip. I mean, shit, we saw that not
- 13:49too long ago where someone was down to zero and they won 32.
- 13:53I can't. I think it was the Panthers were
- 13:55playing in a game and they just like scored a goal in 11
- 13:59seconds, two goals within 11 seconds of each other to tie it.
- 14:03And it was like, oh, fuck. And then they scored another
- 14:05goal and it was like, oh damn. Then they lost.
- 14:08It was like that quick. Did I talk about on the pot?
- 14:12I got invited to a poker game, a monthly poker game.
- 14:17So there's this family I see constantly.
- 14:21They're great people. Husband's a little bit older.
- 14:26You can tell he's like he like gambles, but like keeps it on my
- 14:29she'll be like, hey man, I got sick.
- 14:32I've been making a shit ton of money betting on baseball.
- 14:34Like whenever I see him, he's just like ranting about what
- 14:38he's gambling on and he's like, man, I got this like semi
- 14:41friendly game. Me and my buddies play like once
- 14:44a month and this guy's probably in like his 50s and he's like,
- 14:48I'd love for you to come play sometime, man.
- 14:50He's like, it's pretty casual, pretty chill.
- 14:52None of us are that great. I was like, fuck yeah, I'm
- 14:54totally going to go. And I was like, well, you know,
- 14:59I got a bunch of like Winstar, Winstar chips lying around.
- 15:04I got to go use before they like change them or something.
- 15:09You should go, we should go to Winstar sometime and just like,
- 15:11you know, fuck around or whatever, he's like, oh, there's
- 15:14no way. My wife would never let me go.
- 15:17Like, Nope, it's always controlled.
- 15:18She's got to go with me. And we'll just say her name's
- 15:22like Cheryl, but it's not. But we'll say this and I'm like,
- 15:25hey, Cheryl, would you be cool if he went with me to go to
- 15:28Winstar and gamble? And she was like, oh,
- 15:30absolutely, go take him anytime you want.
- 15:32And he was like, fuck yeah, bro. So I think next month he's going
- 15:37to start playing the games again.
- 15:39It'll be revolving around like Thursday Night Football
- 15:41probably. And I'm going to jump into this
- 15:45like 50 and up old white guy business suit game and just kind
- 15:50of fuck around for a little bit. That's where it's at, dude.
- 15:54I mean, and I used to play in Austin, it would be every
- 15:58Monday. All the GMs and owners of these
- 16:01clubs on 6th St. we don't get together and play.
- 16:04I think I've talked about, and it would get ruthless and rowdy,
- 16:07but I'm looking for something chill, something that's kind of
- 16:09once a month, annual. I'm kind of stoked about it
- 16:12honestly, because there's no one like I don't there's nobody like
- 16:15who plays like that and online's fine, but I'd rather play in
- 16:19person and chill. It's like I'd much rather do
- 16:23that. And I'm not going to some like
- 16:24Dallas card haul where I'm going to get raided by fucking SWAT.
- 16:28That happens all every other time.
- 16:31Like then they don't do that and one star.
- 16:33I mean, unless you're playing in a tournament kind of sucks.
- 16:38Like I don't like playing hold them at the tables where it's
- 16:41all of us and it's like it's, it's not the same, you know, if
- 16:48that even makes sense. I get it.
- 16:51It's. Like a royal flush, all diamonds
- 16:53and I get to quadruple up. But my I'm like, dude, like get
- 16:56the fuck out of here. Like let's just play some cards.
- 16:58I'd rather roll dice or play, play blackjack.
- 17:01And I don't even like playing blackjack.
- 17:04It's too quick. Lose my money too quick.
- 17:11Therapy questions. That was it.
- 17:13Are you ready? You tell me.
- 17:18See, I'm already like on that. I was already going to say that
- 17:22was. That's the event in the very
- 17:24beginning. Tell me more about the Baja.
- 17:29I'm already like on that point with the voice therapy question
- 17:32#1 who do you think is the most dangerous celebrity?
- 17:45Like, OK, hold on. Like give me more than that.
- 17:48No, just like who do you like? What do you mean like?
- 17:51Like you'd be afraid? Afraid.
- 17:54Afraid to fuck with could fuck with you if they wanted to, who
- 17:58would? Like would you say dangerous
- 17:59like, like do you mean like like could be a murderer is a
- 18:02murderer or are you talking about like?
- 18:04To get away with murder to somebody that.
- 18:07Could be up. You wouldn't fuck with for a
- 18:10multitude of reasons. Oh well, you go first.
- 18:21Tom Cruise. Why?
- 18:24Because Scientology. That's part of it.
- 18:27Number one. I've been rewatching all the
- 18:29mission Impossibles pretty good. The Mission Impossible 2 pretty
- 18:36bad. Why you been rewatching them?
- 18:39It just. The then the last ones coming
- 18:41out do you the last. One, OK, are you getting
- 18:43perfect? And they're all on and they're
- 18:44all on Amazon. And it's interesting because Tom
- 18:46Cruise has one of his front teeth.
- 18:48Like he's in the perfect center of his face.
- 18:50It's fucking weird. And once you hear that, you'll
- 18:53never Unsee it. And I'll just.
- 18:56Watch that, you'll never Unsee it.
- 18:59Whenever you. See it.
- 19:00Once you see it, you'll never Unsee it.
- 19:01Well, when someone tells you that, hey, it's in the middle
- 19:04of, you'll see it. After that, you'll never we have
- 19:06to. See it?
- 19:07Yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 19:08Be like. I.
- 19:09Was right, but well, you don't notice it that there's some
- 19:14close-ups where you're like, Oh yeah, this motherfucker right
- 19:17here dude. So I was watching those.
- 19:21Does his own stunts. But yeah, I mean the Scientology
- 19:25army is real and strong. Like he, he could make you
- 19:29disappear if he's killed people. We would never know, never know.
- 19:34Like it would just go away. I mean, he's not like, he's not
- 19:38Danny Masterson. We're like, we found out.
- 19:41We knew you were. Yeah, that's what I was
- 19:42wondering, if that's what you're asking.
- 19:43Where he was like a creep, but there's a lot of these dudes
- 19:46like he's got the whole army. I mean, they gave him like a
- 19:49lifetime achievement award. He's the closest thing to L Ron
- 19:52Hubbard that exists. Miscavige is a weirdo.
- 19:56His wife's missing all that weird shit.
- 19:58But Tom Cruise is pretty fucking dangerous, man.
- 20:02He could beat your ass. He does his own stunts.
- 20:06He was at the Olympics. What does that mean?
- 20:10He went to Paris, OK. He has nothing, he has nothing
- 20:14to do with the Olympics and he just shows the fuck up like
- 20:17parachute, zip line, flamethrower, whatever the fuck
- 20:20there's. I would never, I would be
- 20:23terrified of being on Tom Cruise's bad side.
- 20:30I think that's a great pick. I don't know who else could be
- 20:33like. What do you think about it?
- 20:35Who is more dangerous? I mean, just out of respect,
- 20:39Denzel like, but, but as far as like, as far like what we're
- 20:45talking about, I don't know, like Oprah comes to mind.
- 20:49Oprah's pretty dangerous. You know how I feel about Oprah.
- 20:52I'm not a fan. She's crushed people.
- 20:54She's destroyed hopes, dreams and families.
- 20:58She's broken several homes to have the book.
- 21:00Her book club, like Oprah, is more like Donald Trump than she
- 21:05is like anybody else. Because.
- 21:07What kind of common is that? Just to reach that level of
- 21:11wealth from nothing, and which Donald Trump didn't called
- 21:14America, she has chewed up and spit out her competition on her
- 21:20way to the top. She actually is a good business
- 21:23woman, unlike Donald Trump. True, it was just a woman
- 21:30alright. I don't know, I get confused
- 21:31sometimes with the makeup. OK, that's true.
- 21:33I mean, it's the the spray tans a little much.
- 21:35So yeah, I know I could see that.
- 21:38Yeah. I've just always said there's
- 21:40there's something unsettling about Oprah with me and always
- 21:43will be honest. Never.
- 21:45No, don't put me in the line. And also I say.
- 21:47That I find that just crazy because to me she seems
- 21:53unimpeachable and also I mean. That is what makes it.
- 21:59You guys, you guys are, I mean, is it a little blasphemy for you
- 22:05to be talking shit about a prominent African American
- 22:08woman, Maybe the most prominent African American woman other
- 22:12than Michelle Obama? Yeah, but Michelle Obama all
- 22:15day. OK, but Michelle Obama is just
- 22:17the wife of the president. Oprah is Oprah.
- 22:24Yeah, but she was also a constitutional law professor.
- 22:28No, no, no, no. She's a legit person.
- 22:30I'm just trying to say that if we're, if we're competing.
- 22:36Like stringing Stedman around everywhere.
- 22:39There's just something off, man. I just don't, you know what I'm
- 22:42saying? I just don't trust it.
- 22:43Don't trust. It but I mean like, isn't it
- 22:45like are you, aren't you going to get backlash from your
- 22:49community for talking shit about a prominent African American
- 22:53woman? Probably not.
- 22:56I don't think so, no. Michelle Obama?
- 22:58Maybe, But just talk with you about Oprah?
- 23:02I doubt it. So you think Oprah's transcended
- 23:04the African Americanism? Oh yeah, I can make so many
- 23:09jokes right now. That'd be so inappropriate.
- 23:14But I'm not. But yes, Oprah was like for
- 23:19suburban suburban white. House you think the so so like
- 23:22in the in the race. Book of the Month club was
- 23:25suburban white housewives. In the race draft we the the
- 23:28whites drafted, but draft Oprah Oprah for.
- 23:32And the black community would take Martha Stewart.
- 23:36That's true. There you go.
- 23:37Swap them, they'd be like yeah dude, fuck yeah she rolls with
- 23:40Snoop yeah, she's been to she's been to federal prison for a
- 23:44white collar ass crime, but she's she's been independent.
- 23:47She's. Been OK, fine fine but.
- 23:49That bitch on papers. All right.
- 23:51Well, then we get a that's, that's an, that's an unequal
- 23:54trade. How was that unequal?
- 23:59Yeah. That's I don't know if you can
- 24:00compare that's that's a good. No, no, it is equal.
- 24:03I'm just trying to like, you know, I was trying to throw in
- 24:05like, you know, maybe like couple like picks.
- 24:08And like Jerry Springer would be drafted by the whites, Montel,
- 24:12Montel Williams would go to Team Black.
- 24:14But those are the equivalent. Like Jerry Springer, Montel
- 24:18Whites would take Steve Harvey, take him, get him out of here.
- 24:21Bye. So you take him, you know, Mr.
- 24:25Potato Head looking ass. You can get the fuck out of
- 24:27here, dude. For sure.
- 24:29We'd give them up. And then you guys would draft
- 24:32Ari Melber. Probably, probably.
- 24:35I could see that. That's a deep cut.
- 24:37That's a deep cut. I can see that happening.
- 24:40I think that's fair. That's good.
- 24:45Thank you. In American black community, we
- 24:48would give up Scary spice. Mel C She'd go.
- 24:52We'd be like, he's British. I don't even know what the fuck
- 24:54that's about. Well, we don't want her that.
- 24:56Yeah, we don't want her. You got the Spice Girls, you got
- 24:59to take them all. Their combo deal.
- 25:00Oh, OK, yeah, we'll take this. But yeah.
- 25:03There you go. Blacks get the Biebs, you get
- 25:07Justin Bieber. You already had them, did he?
- 25:14Allegedly. Allegedly.
- 25:16Allegedly. That's right.
- 25:17That's right. Yeah, I think, Tom.
- 25:18We we don't want Buzzbee to come over here like fucking dropping
- 25:20suits on us. Maybe we could counter sue from
- 25:23being. That is true kind of idiot he's.
- 25:26So stupid. But yeah, I think Tom Cruise
- 25:28might be the most dangerous celebrity on the planet right
- 25:31now. I think you're right.
- 25:33And he's got like a a bunch of religious fanatics that follow
- 25:36him around with, I mean. Clooney did end Biden's career,
- 25:40but that was just inhabitable anyways.
- 25:46True therapy question number two.
- 25:50I was going to attach an article to it but I didn't.
- 25:53We can discuss this. Should we as a government, or
- 25:59should government officials accept free planes and other
- 26:03gifts from foreign countries? Some would say that that's
- 26:09against the law. No, they shouldn't.
- 26:13You think it's it's crazy. Bizarre bro.
- 26:18The grist, the grift is so real, and they're saying that all.
- 26:22I do. Is crime crime crime?
- 26:25It's going to be donated to like, his presidential library.
- 26:29Because Ronald Reagan has one. Yeah, it's out here in Simi
- 26:31Valley, like just down the street.
- 26:32Yeah, dude. For personal use are.
- 26:37We going to talk. Are we talking about it right
- 26:39now? Yeah, let's talk about.
- 26:40It OK so so Donald Trump said that the Qatari government is
- 26:45going to donate a plane called the Palace in the sky to for him
- 26:51to use as Air Force One OK this plan is worth $600 million.
- 26:59This would be the largest gift any White House has received
- 27:03from any government ever. That's including like the Statue
- 27:05of Liberty I think, which was a gift from the French to the
- 27:09Americans. Bro they arrested somebody, a
- 27:17college kid, for signing an op-ed that was critical of the
- 27:23Israeli government, right? That they they put her in jail
- 27:28because she's she's here on a green card and all she like
- 27:33somebody else wrote an article criticizing Israel's government
- 27:38and then she Co signed it. They put her in jail.
- 27:43Qatar has given 1.2 billion with AB dollars to Hamas, to Hamas,
- 27:55the terrorist organization that killed 1200 Jews in a day in
- 28:00Israel. And it's fine if he takes a
- 28:04plane from them. And Air Force One is the most
- 28:07sophisticated technology in the history of the world.
- 28:11And, and, and you're going to have to like what retrofitted
- 28:15onto this plane. And then like also it's not like
- 28:18a national security risk. So what do you have to do?
- 28:21Like take the entire plane apart to make sure that there's like
- 28:26not like shit in there like bugs.
- 28:30It's going to cost more money than it would to build a new one
- 28:34than it is to retrofit the fucking Qatari one.
- 28:37And then he's And so by the way, so if they do do that, like if
- 28:41they do have to upgrade it, it's not going to be ready by the
- 28:43time he's done. I mean, you know, you know, God
- 28:45willing that he's over, you know, in three years here.
- 28:50So him saying it's going to be donated to his presidential
- 28:53library just means it's a fucking private plane for him
- 28:55after he gets out of office. Like he's going to feel the
- 28:58pressure from the public to not to, like, keep his word.
- 29:02He's not going to use the fucking $600 million plane, No.
- 29:08It's fucking wild. I'm going to turn this fan off
- 29:10because it's going crazy. Yeah, the whole the whole thing
- 29:21is stupid because number one, we've talked about the Qatari
- 29:27government, we've talked about Qatar.
- 29:29They hosted the World Cup when they were building towns and
- 29:34stadiums with slave labor where people were fucking dying.
- 29:39Qatar is a tie ass. Don't.
- 29:41Suppose to say people, thousands of people died building the
- 29:46stadium for the World Cup. Kiss you all right?
- 29:49Yeah, and they totally rigged that shit.
- 29:51I mean, everybody in the FIFA community and involved in the
- 29:56World Cup got caught like taking bribes and all sorts of shit.
- 29:59Like all sorts of goofy stuff like that's.
- 30:02All they did. The fact that this is even being
- 30:07entertained and it's happening is fucking crazy.
- 30:12If you said like, oh, Barack Obama's taking a plane from the.
- 30:20UAE like. Yeah, like that.
- 30:23The the guitars are worse. Yeah, guitars are worse.
- 30:26How about just? Any how about this?
- 30:28If Barack Obama said he's taking a fucking plane from France to
- 30:32use his Air Force One, they'd impeach him like before he got
- 30:36done with the sentence. There's like, it's not a big
- 30:39deal. I like freedom flights.
- 30:43Crazy as fuck I mean. And now this is cause beef with
- 30:50him and Netanyahu and a bunch of other people who were like yo
- 30:54bro you are taking a plane. OK, come on, Netanyahu's listen.
- 30:59Netanyahu's entire fucking administration is under
- 31:02investigation for being Qatari foreign agents like the they're
- 31:09on trial right now. For being Qatari foreign agents.
- 31:15So they're killing Hamas while. Taking money from the Qataris
- 31:19and then and then like, doing their bidding.
- 31:22There's like this fucking ridiculous policy that like,
- 31:26everyone's like, what? And then it turns out the reason
- 31:28why they did it is because Qatar asked them to.
- 31:30But yeah, it's like his like chief of fucking staff, I think
- 31:34taking money from Qatar while they're, yeah, while they're
- 31:37funding Hamas, while they're fighting a war against Hamas,
- 31:39while Qatar is the mediator in the ceasefire negotiations, or
- 31:44was at least nuts, dude. Well, we talked about this
- 31:49before, like there is 300,000 like Qatari citizens and
- 31:55everybody and like that's it. And they're, they all, they all
- 31:59get like a universal basic income of like 300 G's a year or
- 32:02something crazy. Yeah, like something fucking
- 32:04nuts. They own like tigers and shit
- 32:06and this like they're the people that are Qatari nationals have
- 32:09so much money, so much money. But then, but then there's like
- 32:13millions of people that are not considered citizens that live
- 32:17there. They're like in Yeah, they get
- 32:20treated like. Shit.
- 32:21Like second class citizens like. Yeah, I mean, those are the
- 32:24people. Like, you're building a soccer
- 32:25stadium, but I don't want to. We're taking your passport, You
- 32:29can't leave. You're building a soccer
- 32:32stadium. And if you don't like it, die.
- 32:34Like that's fucking insane. The whole thing is nuts.
- 32:38People trying to gloss over it or act like this isn't so a big
- 32:43deal is fucking crazy. This is worse than Kushner
- 32:47getting $2 billion whenever he got it off. 100%.
- 32:51Because he's currently the president.
- 32:55And it's Air Force One. It's not even it's it's a
- 32:59military plane, dude. Like for the United States, we
- 33:01have to go get our planes from a little tiny country.
- 33:05It's like go, go pull up Qatar on a map, dude.
- 33:08It's like, like Rhode Island. Yeah, I think it's smaller.
- 33:12It's like the size of like Mississippi or some shit.
- 33:15It's tiny little country that like, and you know what?
- 33:20You know what he said that do you hear this quote?
- 33:22He goes, have you heard? Listen, have you heard of a man
- 33:27named Sam Sneed? Sam Sneed, he said.
- 33:31He said, if someone gives you a putt, they say, hey, that putt's
- 33:36good. You pick up your ball and you go
- 33:39to the next hole. Because, because a lot of guys
- 33:42are like no, no about it. And then they mess it.
- 33:46Someone gives you a plane, you take it.
- 33:51I'm not making that up. Well, it's crazy, dude.
- 33:54He's fucking nuts. The grift is so real and this is
- 33:57so blatant. He doesn't give a shit, but he
- 34:02doesn't give a shit. What's it going to take?
- 34:06He's going to get caught giving Putin ABJ and people then be
- 34:09like, well, hey man, you know, like Putin was really stressed
- 34:12and he needed to relax a little bit and he was just helping him
- 34:15out like I don't. So he quit making a big deal out
- 34:20of it. This is fucking insane.
- 34:22When I read it I was like, there's no way this is true.
- 34:25This is like a meme, right? This is like The Onion.
- 34:28This is some sort of gag article and it's like, Oh no, this is
- 34:33real. No, it's so crazy is in his
- 34:36first term. So they were they were
- 34:40redesigning like the current fleet of Air Force Ones came
- 34:46into service or started. They started using them in 1980
- 34:51so they are old and JFK and his wifey Jackie O are the ones who
- 34:58designed like that the shit, the logo and like how how Air Force
- 35:02One looks like on the outside and on the inside.
- 35:05They just happened to be like in office when they were like
- 35:07coming up with this and they were the ones who did it.
- 35:09Well, Donald Trump and Melania were the ones who were in office
- 35:13like, and making the decisions of what the new Air Force One
- 35:16was going to look like. And I, I remember like, I was
- 35:18like so pissed. I'm like, dude, fuck that.
- 35:21Cause like, we've had this, the, these planes, you know, JFK came
- 35:24up with the design, but the, they didn't get them until 1980,
- 35:27you know, so it's like, we're going to have to deal with like
- 35:29Donald Trump's decisions like for every president from here,
- 35:33like, for like the next 30-40 years.
- 35:35That sucks. This is not he's like now fuck
- 35:39the fuck the designing of the Air Force One.
- 35:41I'm just going to go get a like a a plane from my like rich like
- 35:46fucking Arab like oil friend. Yeah, I mean, we'll see.
- 35:50I mean, yeah, they obviously got to like sweep it, figure out
- 35:52what's, if there's anything in it on it that's just like
- 35:56fucking it's. Not going to happen.
- 35:57That's what I'm telling. It's not happening, dude.
- 35:59It it it will you. Think someone's going to stop?
- 36:01Step in and be like, dude, you can't do that.
- 36:04'Cause it will, it will never it.
- 36:07Will he doesn't care when people tell him he can't?
- 36:10OK, Well, also technically any airplane the president of the
- 36:16United States is in is called Air Force One.
- 36:22So it it's not actually a plane is like, that's not like, oh,
- 36:26that that plane right there is Air Force One.
- 36:28It's like, no, it's actually wherever the president is, is
- 36:31Air Force One. That being said, they'll never
- 36:38use this plane as like the way that they use the current ones.
- 36:44I don't know he's. Going to like if.
- 36:47He's going to try. It's a fucking security risk.
- 36:50What are you guys going to do? Like getting a group chat on on
- 36:53Signal while you're on the fucking plane like.
- 36:56Signals built in. It's there with the styling.
- 37:01I made sure it's already got signal.
- 37:04It's actually Air Force Signal One.
- 37:07That's the new name. And it erases the flight plans
- 37:11after you look at them. It's perfect.
- 37:14It's perfect. Yeah.
- 37:16Fucking insane. Therapy question #3 I might have
- 37:21asked this one already. I don't think I have.
- 37:24But would you date a woman whose family is involved in organized
- 37:28crime? Yes.
- 37:31OK, you'd be cool with that. That'd be kind of wild.
- 37:35I don't know. If I could, I'd be pretty
- 37:36uneasy. I'd be a lot of pressure to like
- 37:39be on point before. Well, I, I'm just like, not
- 37:44like, I mean, I don't know, I'd be.
- 37:46Scared to like, argue? Like are you?
- 37:50I'd never get my make sure I never got my way.
- 37:54Well, like, aren't you finding that out like down the line, you
- 38:00know? Maybe let's just say it's like
- 38:02up front, like, oh, those are my brothers.
- 38:04They're fucking yakuza. I'd be like, oh shit, I feel
- 38:09like you're kind of stuck so. That so so we're so dating a
- 38:12Japanese woman. Sure.
- 38:15Or they're an Irish, Irish mob, whatever.
- 38:18You know why you got to make? Why you got to?
- 38:20Make it 'cause you said. Yakuza, why you got to make it
- 38:23about. And it's like, because they do,
- 38:26because the organized crime makes it about race.
- 38:30That's kind of their stick. Yeah, bro, come on.
- 38:34You know I got ties to the IRA. What do you want?
- 38:37Yeah, I don't know. I think that'd be a little
- 38:39sketchy. I'd be a little bit weirded out
- 38:42looking over my shoulder. Like if they were like high end
- 38:46like rich people. Maybe.
- 38:52Organized crime. It's just called politics now,
- 38:54dude. Would you date a girl whose
- 38:57family is involved heavily in Scientology?
- 39:01No. That's organized crime.
- 39:06Why are we talking about dating girls?
- 39:07Come on man. I'm just saying I'm just trying.
- 39:10To you know what girl I want to date?
- 39:11If if if your life was on the line because you might end up
- 39:15swimming with the fishes if you'd roll with it.
- 39:20Therapy question #4 what scares you more?
- 39:24Nukes being used anywhere in the world?
- 39:27Nukes or an unavoidable natural disaster?
- 39:34Nukes. Really.
- 39:37Yeah. So I'd say I'm probably more
- 39:41afraid of a like some big solar flare or some shit like that,
- 39:48that would just like destroy all of the electronic infrastructure
- 39:52of the planet. And there's like, it'd just be
- 39:55like, we go back in time like 300 years and there's not shit
- 39:58we could do about it. I'm not that scared of that
- 40:00that. 'D be.
- 40:02That would fry everything. We we need to shake things up.
- 40:07That would definitely. I mean the terrorists.
- 40:11Yeah, yeah, that would definitely.
- 40:12Well, tariffs wouldn't matter at that point.
- 40:14Your boat, nobody's boat would work.
- 40:16Nothing would work. You'd be in like canoes, hunting
- 40:18with Spears and shit. I mean because you are like one
- 40:21big solar flare EMP event from like.
- 40:25All. Electronics and electricity
- 40:27just. Being electric magnetic pulse
- 40:30for the listeners. But see, And that's so they say.
- 40:34Neil degrasse Joseph. A nuclear device being detonated
- 40:38in the atmosphere is more is would cause more damage than a
- 40:44nuclear bomb just being dropped on the ground because it would
- 40:48go farther. It would get into the to the the
- 40:50jet stream and like spread all over the planet and the EMP that
- 40:54it would send out, the shockwave it would send would go for
- 40:59hundreds and hundreds of miles. The damage would be way worse
- 41:03than if you were to just drop it like if you dropped it like a.
- 41:06Mile a mile, you know this, but like, like nuclear bombs don't
- 41:12go off. Like one of them is not just
- 41:16going to go off. One goes off, dude.
- 41:22Another one's going to go off. Oh, because somebody else is
- 41:25going to just shoot some shit. 100, obviously.
- 41:29Well. They've they've they've done the
- 41:32war games now for fucking whatever 80 or 70 years.
- 41:37You know, it's like, yeah, that's why that's why they don't
- 41:40go off. Because if no matter what, no
- 41:43matter how they think about it, they philosophers just how
- 41:47strategy, just what is the best way?
- 41:51How do you respond in this scenario every time It's fucking
- 41:54done. We're all done.
- 41:57No other way about it. Dude, you're just going to get
- 42:02naked to death. I'll be shitty.
- 42:07Or are you going to get nuked to death?
- 42:09It's like, you know, it's like you have no other.
- 42:12Either nuke or either nuke or get nuked.
- 42:15And if you get nuked, you nuke. Exactly.
- 42:19If you can. And what's scary is if that were
- 42:23to happen, the people that would still be like roaming around
- 42:25would be like what? Like Idaho, Like the Dakotas?
- 42:31It wouldn't be. Wouldn't be.
- 42:32No, no, no, those are like the nuclear silos are those might be
- 42:35the one first ones out, dude. Like where they have yeah,
- 42:39'cause like that's where a lot of the like Russia's nukes are
- 42:43pointed, like at our silo. Cause like the the goal is to
- 42:46take out our ability to continue to send nukes.
- 42:52So you're not just like 01's coming to Moscow.
- 42:55Let's send one into LA. It's like no, let's send one
- 42:57into wherever the fuck they just shot that nuke off of that.
- 43:01Makes sense. Well, that's what they always
- 43:04say is like, LA is the shortest distance.
- 43:07So if they ever fire one, if it hit LA or Alaska, yeah.
- 43:12San Francisco. Yeah, and I remember they were
- 43:17like, George Bush is from Texas, so they shoot it at Texas.
- 43:21What are they even talking about?
- 43:22Like we have submarines and airplanes, the nuclear triad at
- 43:2824 hours a day, seven days a week.
- 43:31There is multiple submarines whose location is not disclosed,
- 43:36who are have nuclear weapons armed and ready to go.
- 43:40And there are bombers in the air 24 hours a day, seven days a
- 43:45week, with nuclear bombs on them for the United States, ready to
- 43:49drop them if they need to. Imagine having that job dude
- 43:53that crazy. Good Lord.
- 43:55Just like. Every.
- 43:56Day like in shifts that pays good.
- 44:00I guarantee those guys are making bank.
- 44:02They probably rotate them out like you probably do it like
- 44:05once a month or something like, you know, just like it's, oh,
- 44:07it's your journey like. Doing doing the nuke run today,
- 44:13no action like that would be really fucking intense.
- 44:16I I just wanted to like, know what the calculus is.
- 44:18It's like that we'd, we're like, yeah, it's worth having nuclear
- 44:23bombs flying over the world at all times.
- 44:29Like it it's it's worth that risk compared to not like the
- 44:34risk of getting nuked and not being able to nuke them back
- 44:37from the air. And they're like, oh man, why
- 44:41won't aliens visit us? I'm like, well, if they're
- 44:44checking out the triad and they can see through the ocean, like,
- 44:48oh, there's just like a fuck ton of Subs, just like hanging
- 44:51outside the coast or out off of Russia and over by Japan and
- 44:54shit, just loaded with nuclear weapons.
- 44:57Like these guys are fucking crazy.
- 45:01Yeah, we have. We have like, like it's so crazy
- 45:05that like other countries don't need nukes because they're in
- 45:07our nuclear umbrella. We're like, no, that's good.
- 45:09We have submarine outside your fucking country.
- 45:11Yeah, don't worry about it. Like how come we can't have
- 45:14nukes? No, no, a lot of countries don't
- 45:16even want them. They're like they don't want
- 45:17the, the, the fucking stress in the heat.
- 45:20They're like, yeah, Ukraine, which is they had them.
- 45:26It's like going like just walking around with the bazooka.
- 45:29Why do you have that bazooka? Never know.
- 45:32Never know if that dude over there shoots his bazooka, I'm
- 45:35shooting my shit right back at him.
- 45:37Dude, fuck with me, bro. I dare you.
- 45:40It's like, why are you guys posturing the whole time?
- 45:43Do something, dude. Got my fucking bazooka.
- 45:47It's like, I just want to have like my Bubba tea and chill the
- 45:50fuck out. Don't worry, man, I got you.
- 45:52I've got you. You're sitting next to me.
- 45:54I got a fucking bazooka. Get behind me, bro, get behind
- 45:57me. That's pretty crazy.
- 46:00I do forget that that we do have just like nukes swirling around
- 46:04the world 24/7. But I mean, I think that we've
- 46:07also worked hard on being able to shoot them down before they
- 46:13got here. Nope.
- 46:16You don't think? We officially and like probably
- 46:23true that if you, if you more than one intercontinental
- 46:27ballistic missile, we can't shoot them accurately.
- 46:33Like we could do it like 40% of the time.
- 46:37And I don't like I've thought about this.
- 46:39I'm like, like, are they lying about that?
- 46:41You know, it's like, you go look at like Israel's Iron Dome that
- 46:44we like. How fast that we?
- 46:46Built for that no, it's it's not that it's like the it's like
- 46:51'cause intercontinental ballistic missiles go into space
- 46:54and go into orbit and then re enter into the atmosphere and so
- 46:58it's like something about that when there's multiple.
- 47:06OK, during the boost phase they can reach speeds of 4 to 78
- 47:11kilometers per second or 2.5 to 5 miles per second.
- 47:17Re entry speeds can reach 22,000 or sorry, 13 to 18,000 mph.
- 47:25God damn. Good Lord, dude.
- 47:27That's just like, look, that's not even see, that's what Elon
- 47:32Musk should be working on. Well, but OK, but if you look at
- 47:35the Iron Dome that Israel has like fucking Iran launched 300
- 47:39projectiles at and they knocked them all down.
- 47:41They owe like in Hezbollah is always launching fucking rockets
- 47:45and they're, they're hitting them.
- 47:46And but then, you know, it's like, oh, we can't do that.
- 47:48It's like, we, what do you mean? We built the fucking iron, we
- 47:51paid for it. We you know, it's like, that's
- 47:52our shit. Like how?
- 47:54And then I'm like, are they saying that because it's like
- 47:56it'd be, it's like the, the, the strategic ambiguity is what they
- 48:02call it. Yeah, I think that's it.
- 48:05Of people not knowing, like whether or not we can.
- 48:07I was like, but that doesn't make sense.
- 48:08Like like, 'cause we should just tell them that we can or maybe
- 48:14we said we can't, but like just, I don't know.
- 48:16I don't know what the fucking deal is, but it seems like we
- 48:19should be able to do that. But like everything that's like
- 48:23official or reported is that we're not, we don't have the
- 48:27technology yet. But they also said that we
- 48:30couldn't shoot down hypersonic missiles, which are missiles
- 48:32that go faster than the speed of sound.
- 48:34And that's what Russia's like, like started to improve on.
- 48:38And then they started hitting like fucking apartment buildings
- 48:42with hypersonic missiles cause 'cause cause fucking Russia did.
- 48:49Anyways, shooting hypersonic missiles in the apartment
- 48:52buildings are Patriot batteries, which are like missile defense
- 48:55systems. They like, this is kind of what
- 48:57we're talking about, like shooting shit out of the sky.
- 48:59The Patriot batteries that we gave to Ukraine shot the fucking
- 49:03Russian hypersonic missiles straight out of the fucking sky,
- 49:06dude. And we're like, oh, I guess we
- 49:09can do that. I didn't know.
- 49:11I didn't know I could do that. I also just saw an article that
- 49:15we the United States, because we've been kind of behind China
- 49:18and Russia on the hypersonic missiles.
- 49:20I just saw an article today saying that we are close to
- 49:25completing a hypersonic missile that can be reused.
- 49:29The like rocket part. No, like what?
- 49:32That's about time. Hey, we can recycle the
- 49:36$1,000,000 ship that we build and.
- 49:38Just like we we don't even have these weapons yet, the
- 49:40hypersonic missiles. Wait, we don't have hypersonic
- 49:48missiles? Like, they're, like, brand new
- 49:51like we do, but they're not, like, on the level that these
- 49:56other guys have. But like, my point is, like, we
- 50:01like it. Yeah.
- 50:02Hypersonic missiles in general are a new weapon.
- 50:10Oh God but 18,000 miles per second bro.
- 50:17A nuclear warhead. Bro that's fucking wild.
- 50:21Like that's I'm see. I think we've got some laser
- 50:26shit in space where we go up and then when it's re entry, just
- 50:31ZAP it. That's what you should invent.
- 50:35Somebody invented that. That's what, that's what that's.
- 50:39What they're doing with the Starlink.
- 50:41That's really what Starlink does, we just have no idea.
- 50:44It just happens. Also give off a Wi-Fi signal so
- 50:47he's just like making money off of it.
- 50:49In reality it's like some space laser shit.
- 50:54We send a treaty. We send a treaty.
- 50:55No weapons in space. Jewish space laser.
- 50:59But we did. Elon didn't.
- 51:02That's true. That's it.
- 51:04You know that's different. You didn't sign that with Space
- 51:06Force. Space Force ain't signed shit.
- 51:11Space Force is part of the Air Force.
- 51:14So they want you to think. I remember clowning him and
- 51:18everybody else clowning him about Space Force, and I think
- 51:20Space Force is legit. You think?
- 51:24Yeah, I listened to the guy who's the head of Space Force
- 51:26talk for like an hour and a half, like on a podcast and sold
- 51:30me on it. It's 'cause it's like, they're
- 51:33like, yo, dude, we're still in the military, military, and
- 51:35we're going to take this fucking seriously.
- 51:37And it's like a bunch of NASA people too.
- 51:38So it's like, OK, yeah, makes sense why this department would
- 51:41be legit. All right, let's try it.
- 51:45I think it's the way he sold. Space.
- 51:48Yeah, no, totally. Like yeah, it sounds like.
- 51:50Proud of that. Yeah, like Steve Carell
- 51:52literally made a show, like about it 'cause it was so goofy,
- 51:55but like, but no, yeah. But no weapons in space.
- 52:03Correct, except for Russia's allegedly trying to put a nuke
- 52:06in space. Tight.
- 52:09Yeah, it's tight. On to the articles, y'all, this
- 52:15one from NPR by Rachel Treisman. Rapper Tory Lanes is
- 52:21hospitalized after being stabbed in the California prison.
- 52:25The rapper's Instagram account says his lungs collapsed after
- 52:28he was stabbed 14 times, but he's in good spirits.
- 52:31Lanes is serving a 10 year sentence for shooting Megan the
- 52:36Stallion in 2020. Tory Lanes was hospitalized on
- 52:40Monday after being stabbed. The Canadian rapper, I didn't
- 52:43know he was Canadian. The Canadian rapper, whose legal
- 52:46name is Daystar Peterson, is in the fair is in fair condition
- 52:50after he was allegedly attacked by another inmate at a housing
- 52:53unit at the California Correctional Institution and
- 52:58Tehachapi. How do you say that?
- 53:01Around 7:20 AM local time, According to California
- 53:04Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, the suspected
- 53:07attacker, identified as Santino Casillo, has been placed in
- 53:10restricted housing pending an investigation.
- 53:13A message posted to Lane's official Instagram account that
- 53:15night said he was stabbed 14 times, including seven wounds to
- 53:19his back, four to his torso, 2 to the back of his head and one
- 53:24to the left side of his face. It said both of his lungs had
- 53:28collapsed, but his condition was improving.
- 53:30He's now breathing on his own, it reads.
- 53:32Despite being in pain, he's talking normally, in good
- 53:34spirits and deeply thankful to God that he's pulling through.
- 53:37Details about the tack remain scarce, officials said.
- 53:40The President's Investigative Unit and Kern County District
- 53:43Attorney's Office are investigating why Lanes is in
- 53:48prison. Just to refresher, Lanes was
- 53:50sentenced to 10 years in prison on August 2023 after a divisive
- 53:54and high drama trial that ended with his conviction on three
- 53:57felony charges, assault with a semi automatic firearm,
- 54:01possession of a concealed unregistered firearm and a
- 54:04negligent discharge of a firearm.
- 54:06The charges stem from an incident that happened early one
- 54:08morning in July 2020 as Lanes and Megan the Stallion left a
- 54:13pool party in Los Angeles. Stallion, whose legal name is
- 54:16Megan Pete, accused Lanes of shooting her in both feet as she
- 54:19got out of their vehicle after an argument.
- 54:21Salian said in a Scene deleted Instagram post a few days later
- 54:25that she had suffered gunshot wounds that night, but did not
- 54:28identify Lanes as the perpetrator until the following
- 54:30month. Lanes, who pleaded not guilty at
- 54:32trial, then released an album with lyrics maintaining his
- 54:35innocence and casting doubt on Stallion's claims.
- 54:38That October, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's
- 54:41Office charged Lanes with felony assault with the semi automatic
- 54:44firearm, and the judge issued A protective order to keep him at
- 54:47least 100 yards away from Stallion.
- 54:49He violated the order the following summer.
- 54:51The rappers can continued to spar in public, referring to the
- 54:55incident and song lyrics. Meanwhile, media personalities,
- 54:58other high profile rappers, and fans of both artists cast out on
- 55:01others versions of events, with many scrutinizing and blaming.
- 55:05Stallion Lanes's December 2022 trial divided the hip hop
- 55:08community and the Internet, raising broader issues like the
- 55:11mistreatment of Black women in both the industry and the
- 55:14criminal justice system. Sally and testified during the
- 55:17trial that the shooting and ensuing backlash had heard her
- 55:20physical mental health, and she feared it would damage her
- 55:22career, too. I can't hold conversations with
- 55:25people for a long time. I don't feel like I want to be
- 55:28on this earth, she said. I wish she would have just shot
- 55:30and killed me. If I knew I would have gone
- 55:33through this torture. Lanes is the chilling and
- 55:35suddenness. That was denied what?
- 55:37So that's dramatic. What you got?
- 55:39I mean, it's kind of intense, but OK.
- 55:43Anyways, what do you think about this fucking guy?
- 55:48I mean, this is the whole issue with like, hey guys, don't go to
- 55:52prison. You might bump into somebody who
- 55:56has nothing to lose and nothing to gain and is going to fucking
- 56:00stab you. I mean, it's sad that whatever
- 56:08people get attacked like that, that's he got stabbed a shit
- 56:11ton, like a Paul Pierce amount of stab wounds.
- 56:14But I'm glad he's all right. The whole thing with him and Meg
- 56:19was pretty stupid, like honestly.
- 56:23And there was like pictures of her feet and I was like, it
- 56:25looks like you just walked on glass.
- 56:27I don't know what's going on. The story changed.
- 56:29Wait, what are you calling bullshit?
- 56:32No, I'm not necessarily saying that.
- 56:34I'm just saying the whole story is cuckoo, cuckoo for Cocoa
- 56:39Puffs 'cause she went into it being like, Nah, we're just
- 56:43friends and we've never fucked. And then she's like, yeah, we
- 56:45were fucking. He was fucking both the chicks.
- 56:47So there was like an argument between the two girls, 'cause he
- 56:50was smashing mags, smashing this other girl, and then he like
- 56:54pulled out a gun or something. It doesn't.
- 56:57The whole story just sounds goofy.
- 56:58I mean, I definitely think he assaulted her.
- 57:00I just don't. The whole thing just sounds
- 57:02weird as shit. And she won't drop it.
- 57:06She's still always trying to charge him with stuff while he's
- 57:10in prison. It sucks if he got stabbed.
- 57:14I mean, I don't really know what's the price you pay when
- 57:17you go to the federal prison for, you know, picking up 3
- 57:21felonies. You know, you might get stabbed
- 57:24by somebody who's in there for the rest of their lives and his
- 57:28last name, Santiago or whatever the fuck.
- 57:30Like your deal. Have you seen the?
- 57:32If you see the guy who stabbed him, you're like, yeah.
- 57:36He's a convicted murderer. That guy looks like he's stabbed
- 57:39people before. Like to stab somebody?
- 57:41To. Stab somebody 14 times in prison
- 57:44before you get pulled off of them.
- 57:47Like you're a professional stabber, no doubt.
- 57:51But the whole shit's crazy and it's sad to see.
- 57:54You don't want to see anybody get hurt like that.
- 57:56Her on the incident and then him while he's in prison because
- 58:00he's been sitting in there for a while.
- 58:04And no issues. Seems like a piece of shit.
- 58:07I'm I'm Team Megan the Stallion. But I mean, no, I mean he's a
- 58:11little bit. How about how about don't
- 58:13assault your girlfriend and then maybe you won't get stabbed in
- 58:15prison homie. And he was like peeking when
- 58:18this happened. Because he is he releases his
- 58:22own music. He's not like signed to any
- 58:23major album. He was doing lockdown radio
- 58:27where he was having people on via Zoom and he would like have
- 58:32these different celebrities and people on.
- 58:33And then it became like a whole fucking thing where he was kind
- 58:36of crushing it before this shit happened.
- 58:39And then all this stuff happened and he's like, whisked off the
- 58:42prison. His hair looks crazy because he
- 58:46wasn't getting haircuts. Like he just got all hella
- 58:48fucked up. He looked nothing like he does
- 58:51in the pictures of him that are posted.
- 58:53But yeah, I mean, don't go to prison, but he don't get
- 58:56stabbed. But he's trying to get released
- 59:01a couple times. They refuse.
- 59:03I mean, this might lead to I could see him getting an early
- 59:06release now potentially. No.
- 59:11Yeah, those are getting moved to a less hardcore prison.
- 59:14I feel like there's threats on my life.
- 59:16I got stabbed in the face once in the head.
- 59:20Or you might get twice out of that facility, but you're not
- 59:23like you don't just get to go home because like prison is
- 59:27prison I. Don't know you get stabbed 17
- 59:30times. Like, did you learn your lesson?
- 59:33How many dudes would like there be like having dudes stab them
- 59:36so they go home? But Ted, what if Tory Lanez had
- 59:41somebody do this to them? Stab me up.
- 59:44But you got stabbed 17 * a year, OK?
- 59:47I wonder why that guy did stab him, You know what I'm saying?
- 59:49Like, it's not like. 17 times and you're OK?
- 59:52It's a little suspicious that somebody scream shit.
- 59:54We're just like stick to the side, don't hit the organs.
- 59:57Like I don't know. But when you get stabbed in the
- 1:00:00face and in the head like 3 headshots with the knife with
- 1:00:0414. Well, it's like a Shank, right?
- 1:00:08Yeah. So it's.
- 1:00:10Maybe it's like obviously it's sharp if it fucking stabbed him
- 1:00:14bro, but like, I mean like, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:00:16Like stabbings are weird, you know, because they, I don't
- 1:00:21know, I feel like it like it like that you could get stabbed
- 1:00:2414 times and be fine, but you could get stabbed once and die.
- 1:00:30Yeah, he's been harassing her from from prison through
- 1:00:36surrogates resulting in an extension of the restraining
- 1:00:41order against him, continues to subject her to repeated trauma
- 1:00:46and victimization even now while behind bars he shows no signs of
- 1:00:51stopping. I mean he's definitely like
- 1:00:54toxic as fuck. Yeah, no shit.
- 1:00:56And like if he didn't, if let's say if he didn't shoot you, he
- 1:01:02might now he's she only gets out.
- 1:01:04He might now. Yeah, if you go to prison for 10
- 1:01:08years for being accused of shooting somebody that you
- 1:01:10didn't shoot, he seems toxic enough or he go out looking for
- 1:01:14revenge. People are crazy and then you
- 1:01:16got stabbed, sent prison for what, couple more years?
- 1:01:21Yeah, good luck. He's been there for 10 years.
- 1:01:24Yeah, and he got sentenced when 20/22 he was in custody for
- 1:01:29basically almost from whenever he got shot or whatever.
- 1:01:32He's got 80 years left. Yeah, he's got like 7. 8 and he
- 1:01:43just got stabbed 14 times that you think like what makes you
- 1:01:46think he's getting out? I'm not saying he is, but I
- 1:01:51don't think he's going to serve the whole tab.
- 1:01:53They never do. Well.
- 1:01:58Like there, he's probably going to get moved.
- 1:01:59He's harassing her from prison like.
- 1:02:01Allegedly. Allegedly like if anything they
- 1:02:04might extend his like stay. Allegedly.
- 1:02:09Do you want to take a quick break back at 7 minutes?
- 1:02:13That's top. Yeah, that's fine.
- 1:02:15Let me take a little. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:19To your thing. We'll be right.
- 1:02:22Oh. And we're back.
- 1:02:24Sorry, I was just creating the episode art for today.
- 1:02:34All right y'all, but. We are back AI.
- 1:02:37Yeah. Next article is from CBS News By
- 1:02:45Emily May Zacker Key moments from Kathy Ventura's testimony
- 1:02:52at Sean Diddy's Combs sex trapping in trial Federal
- 1:02:56prosecutors continue to call witnesses to the stand Tuesday
- 1:02:59morning and Sean Diddy Combs criminal trial.
- 1:03:05What are you laughing about? A picture of her swearing in
- 1:03:09like her eyes are all crooked and shit.
- 1:03:12She's obviously pregnant. It's just a funny depiction.
- 1:03:15Court. Sorry, court drawings, they make
- 1:03:19me laugh half the time because they're fucking terrible.
- 1:03:26His ex Shawn? OK.
- 1:03:28His ex-girlfriend? No.
- 1:03:30You can't not see it. I'm not even, I don't even know
- 1:03:33what you're talking about. All right.
- 1:03:37RB singer Cassie Ventura began her testimony inside the New
- 1:03:39York City courthouse as the trial entered its second day.
- 1:03:42Ventura is a critical witness in the prosecution's case against
- 1:03:45Combs, who has been accused of sexually assaulting, trafficking
- 1:03:48and exploiting women for decades until his arrest on multiple
- 1:03:51charges last September. The music mogul could receive a
- 1:03:54lifetime prison sentence if convicted on all of them.
- 1:03:58Ventura's testimony will likely last the rest of the week.
- 1:04:01Here's from the key takeaways. Violence occurred frequently.
- 1:04:05In her initial statements before the court, Ventura, now pregnant
- 1:04:08with her third child and married to personal trainer Alex Fine,
- 1:04:12recalled her and Combs early interactions and how she started
- 1:04:15to see a different side of him over time.
- 1:04:18She said she met Combs when she was the newly signed singer at
- 1:04:2019, and their burgeoning friendship became romantic two
- 1:04:23years later. She also described his alleged
- 1:04:26violence throughout their 10 year on and off relationship,
- 1:04:29recounting instances where he knocked her over, kicked and
- 1:04:31dragged her and stomped on her head, causing black eyes and
- 1:04:34bruises on her body. When asked, Ventura said the
- 1:04:37abuse endured happened frequently.
- 1:04:39Comes the scene attacking Ventura and video footage of CNN
- 1:04:42obtained and published last year, which shows him throwing
- 1:04:45it to the floor, kicking and dragging her in the hallway of
- 1:04:47the Los Angeles hotel. Control was everything.
- 1:04:50Ventura characterized come Holmes as physical and psych,
- 1:04:54physically and psychologically abusive throughout the first
- 1:04:57hours of her testimony. Control was everything from the
- 1:05:01way that I looked to what I was working on that day, who I was
- 1:05:04speaking to, she said. Control was all it was an all
- 1:05:06around thing to a certain point. Combs allegedly introduced
- 1:05:10Ventura to Freak Offs, drug fueled events where he is
- 1:05:14accused of forcing women to perform sex acts with hired sex
- 1:05:17workers, which were a focus of the inside Been.
- 1:05:19Outlining his alleged crimes, Ventura said Combs broached the
- 1:05:23idea of sexual encounters involving voyeurism during the
- 1:05:26first year of their relationship and he would hire an escort or
- 1:05:29dancer with whom he would watch her engage while he directed
- 1:05:32them. The singer testified she felt
- 1:05:34confused and nervous. But I also loved him very much
- 1:05:36and wanted to make him happy. She testified she worried about
- 1:05:39making Combs angry because of how much control he had over her
- 1:05:42life and career, and the possibility that he could
- 1:05:45blackmail her by releasing images of the Freak Offs.
- 1:05:48Prosecutors alleged court documents that Comes often
- 1:05:50recorded these performances with or without participants consent.
- 1:05:54A shift in the relationship, Ventura recalled, comes looking
- 1:05:58out for her when she was first met him.
- 1:06:00They fell in love, she said, while spending time together in
- 1:06:02the studio or traveling elsewhere.
- 1:06:04I think I was just enamoured by him.
- 1:06:06We were just having a good time. It was really fun at that point,
- 1:06:08she told the court. But as her appearance,
- 1:06:10transportation, rent and overall lifestyle came under Comes his
- 1:06:14control, Ventura said her music career and record deal
- 1:06:16eventually took a back seat to the alleged freak offs, which
- 1:06:19left her feeling humiliated. She testified that despite
- 1:06:23recording hundreds of songs in nine albums while she was with
- 1:06:25Combs, the work was never released.
- 1:06:27Because freak offs became her job, they took up much time and
- 1:06:31energy to leave room for other pursuits, Ventura said, adding
- 1:06:34that she would stay up for several days at a time to party,
- 1:06:37drink and have sex with strangers.
- 1:06:39The freak UPS could last from 36 to 72 hours at a time, she said
- 1:06:44that the longest continuing for four days, she recalled.
- 1:06:46Them have it happening almost weekly for years.
- 1:06:49That is fucking gross. That is crazy.
- 1:06:54Ventura felt disgusted and humiliated by freak offs Ventura
- 1:06:57began to cry during her testimony.
- 1:06:59When asked whether she wanted to participate in every freak off,
- 1:07:02she said she didn't and that she felt disgusted and humiliated by
- 1:07:05them. But she also didn't want to
- 1:07:06disappoint Combs. Ventura told the court Combs
- 1:07:09dismissed her when she expressed how she felt about them, calling
- 1:07:11her predictable for not wanting to engage.
- 1:07:13Testifying at length about the freak offs, Ventura said Combs
- 1:07:17has provided ecstasy and cocaine, which she took in order
- 1:07:20to stay awake during them. Damn, weekly for years.
- 1:07:27Dude just put a bullet in fucking Diddy's head dude.
- 1:07:31Like what a piece of shit. But people should have known
- 1:07:34Diddy. I mean people have talked about
- 1:07:36this weird shit with him but he was like stole his son's
- 1:07:40girlfriend. Yeah.
- 1:07:42Like he's just doing weird shit whenever his wife mysteriously
- 1:07:46dies. All these people around him
- 1:07:48mysteriously dying. He's a scumbag.
- 1:07:51Yeah. I mean, there's no other way to
- 1:07:53put it. Lots of baby oil.
- 1:07:56Just weird fucking dude. I mean, yeah.
- 1:08:04And he's saying like, oh, she participated in it.
- 1:08:06There's all sorts of weird stories that are coming out that
- 1:08:10continue to come out. And apparently there's some
- 1:08:13pretty interesting, like people who are listed as like witnesses
- 1:08:18or participants. There's been all sorts of names
- 1:08:22thrown around like Michael B Jordan, alleged Mike Myers.
- 1:08:28Yeah. I mean, like those are actual
- 1:08:32like witnesses that could be called up in the trial.
- 1:08:35Like, that's not just like, rumors.
- 1:08:37That's crazy. Mike Myers, Austin, Was he in
- 1:08:43the Austin Powers outfit? Like, that's fucking fucking
- 1:08:46crazy. Just to be attached to that.
- 1:08:50It is awful. Cuba Gooding Junior, but I mean,
- 1:08:55he's a fucking weirdo. He ended.
- 1:08:56Up. Wasn't Mike Myers the one who
- 1:08:58was standing next to Kanye West when he said George Bush?
- 1:09:00Doesn't reflect with black people.
- 1:09:01And he was like, yeah. Now is of the Diddy trial.
- 1:09:07The Diddy trial, he's like, hey, Mike Myers likes black people,
- 1:09:10that's for sure. Shit, dude, that's fucking
- 1:09:13crazy. That's fucking crazy.
- 1:09:16I mean, we'll see how much of it comes out.
- 1:09:20I mean, there's no cameras allowed, so there's just really
- 1:09:22bad drawings. But this whole shit's crazy.
- 1:09:25And it's really went downhill when that video came out of him
- 1:09:29in a towel attacking Cassie when she was trying to get away from
- 1:09:33him in that hotel lobby. And we talked about it on the
- 1:09:36pot and he paid the, he paid them like 50 grand to not
- 1:09:39release the video. It was like, that's it, what,
- 1:09:42$50,000? Like that's going to go quick.
- 1:09:45That person's going to show somebody this fucking video.
- 1:09:47They got more than that to show that video to TMZ.
- 1:09:51For sure. Like, what are you talking
- 1:09:53about? And at that point he was like,
- 1:09:56it's all lies, it's all lies, it's all lies.
- 1:09:58And then that video came out. It was just crashed and now he's
- 1:10:05in prison for like peeing on people and wanted people to pee
- 1:10:08on him or her and all sorts of weird shit.
- 1:10:11Dude, there was a guy who got arrested for something he
- 1:10:16claimed to be like one of their freak off partners and in an
- 1:10:21interview he was like, no, I used to like get paid.
- 1:10:23I used to like, have sleep with Cassie and do all this weird
- 1:10:28shit. Diddy would just sit in the
- 1:10:29corner and watch and like told all these crazy stories to the
- 1:10:32cops and everybody was like, yeah, right.
- 1:10:34This like weird white guy, crackhead dudes.
- 1:10:36He was fucked up. Come to find out this dude
- 1:10:39actually signed an NDA and a sick settlement with Diddy and a
- 1:10:44bunch of other people and got paid a fuck ton of money to not
- 1:10:47talk about anything like document.
- 1:10:50That's like, no, that guy was probably telling the truth.
- 1:10:53That's horrific. Yeah.
- 1:10:56He's going to prison for the rest of his life for sure.
- 1:10:59Not going he's, I mean, I guess he's in jail.
- 1:11:01Yeah, he's never getting out. It's never happening.
- 1:11:05He's on like some R Kelly shit. He's never getting out ever.
- 1:11:09And shouldn't. I mean, the whole thing's
- 1:11:13fucking wild. It's fucking crazy.
- 1:11:16At least it's going to trial and it's not being just delayed.
- 1:11:19Delayed. At least we're going to trial,
- 1:11:22get some answers. Not that we deserve them, but I
- 1:11:24think people like Cassie and others deserve the closure of
- 1:11:29like, like us confronting him and talking about it.
- 1:11:33I don't like it's. I don't know 36.
- 1:11:41Hours 36. Hours, yeah.
- 1:11:44That's Oh my God, get away from me.
- 1:11:47Why don't That's fucking crazy. From the LA Times By James
- 1:11:53Quealy and Richard Winton LA Judge resentenced Menendez
- 1:11:58brothers, giving them a chance at freedom Eric and Lyle
- 1:12:01Menendez received a chance at freedom after more than 35 years
- 1:12:05of prison Tuesday, with the judge resentencing the brothers
- 1:12:08after relatives testified it was time for them to come home.
- 1:12:12Eric and Lyle Menendez received a chance at freedom OK.
- 1:12:18Eric and Lyle Menendez received a chance of freedom Tuesday
- 1:12:20after more than 35 years in prison, with an LA County judge
- 1:12:23granting a request to resentence them after hours of emotional
- 1:12:26testimony from family members who said the brothers had spent
- 1:12:29enough time behind bars for the brutal 1989 killings of their
- 1:12:33parents, Superior Court Judge Michael Jessica said late
- 1:12:36Tuesday that he would re sentence the brothers to 50
- 1:12:39years to life, meaning they will be granted a parole hearing at
- 1:12:42some point in the future. We are deeply humble and
- 1:12:44grateful and happy for our family, Lao Menendez said in a
- 1:12:46phone call with one of his attorneys outside the courthouse
- 1:12:49in Van Nuys, which was relayed to a Times reporter.
- 1:12:52District Attorney Nathan Hochman argued that the brothers had
- 1:12:55failed to show proper insight into the crimes.
- 1:12:58They had not atone for lies they told over the last 30 years
- 1:13:01about the nature of the killings.
- 1:13:02But Jessica dismissed those arguments as irrelevant.
- 1:13:06Prosecutors needed to prove the brothers posed an unreasonable
- 1:13:09risk to the public, according to Jessica, who said they failed to
- 1:13:12do so after deciding they should be resentenced.
- 1:13:14Jessica allowed each brother to speak to the court over a Zoom
- 1:13:17call from prison and tearful addresses that drew sobs from
- 1:13:21the relatives who have been fighting for the release for
- 1:13:24years. Eric and Lyle said they took
- 1:13:26full responsibility for their crimes.
- 1:13:29Eric called the murders an atrocious act of brutality
- 1:13:32against two people who had every right to live.
- 1:13:34I have no excuse, no justification for what I did, he
- 1:13:37said. I take full responsibility for
- 1:13:39all my choices. The choice to point a gun at my
- 1:13:42mom and dad, the choice to reload, the choice to run and to
- 1:13:46hide and to do anything I could to get away, a tearful loud said
- 1:13:50moments earlier. Jessica's decision ended in
- 1:13:53eight months saga that started when the District Attorney,
- 1:13:56George Gascon, filed a petition for the brothers to be reset
- 1:13:59pensed late last year and followed an emotional day of
- 1:14:02testimony. Anna Maria Beralt, often wiping
- 1:14:07away tears, testified Tuesday that the relatives and victims
- 1:14:11Jose and Kitty Menendez wanted a judge to give her two cousins a
- 1:14:15lesser sentence than life without parole for the 1989
- 1:14:18murders inside their Beverly Hills mansion.
- 1:14:21Beyond all, both sides of the family say 35 years is enough,
- 1:14:24she said in the courtroom. They are universally forgiven by
- 1:14:27both sides of their families. The hearing was the culmination
- 1:14:30of years of advocacy by the family to free the brothers, who
- 1:14:33were convicted of first degree murder.
- 1:14:35Defense attorney Mark Geragos asked Jessica to resend the
- 1:14:38brothers to manslaughter, arguing they shot their parents
- 1:14:41to death out of fear their father might kill them to cover
- 1:14:43up years of sexual abuse. But instead, Jessica's ruling
- 1:14:46aligned with the request made last year by Gascon.
- 1:14:49The reduced sentence of 50 years to life makes them eligible for
- 1:14:52parole under the state's youthful offender law because
- 1:14:54they were under the age of 26 at the time of the murders.
- 1:14:58I want to give a hat tip to Judge Jessica who was able to
- 1:15:00cancel out all the noise surrounding this, all of the
- 1:15:03grandstanding, all of the political back and forth, and he
- 1:15:06did what the code section said. Geragos said late Tuesday.
- 1:15:09He did what justice said should happen.
- 1:15:11A parole hearing will likely be scheduled in the coming months,
- 1:15:15but Governor Gavin Newsom could also grant them clemency if he
- 1:15:18honors a pending request. A hearing on that matter is
- 1:15:21currently scheduled for June 13th.
- 1:15:23California's resentencing law leans heavily in favor of
- 1:15:25defendants appoint, Jessica reminded the courtroom of early
- 1:15:29Tuesday. Under state law, Jessex said he
- 1:15:31could block a resentencing petition only if the defendant
- 1:15:34poses an unreasonable risk of danger to public safety, meaning
- 1:15:38there's a risk they will commit another violent crime such as
- 1:15:41murder, manslaughter or rape if they are released.
- 1:15:44Hochman this year announced his opposition to the brothers
- 1:15:47release. He alleged that the brothers
- 1:15:48continue to lie about the motive behind the murders, dismissing
- 1:15:51the idea that they genuinely feared Jose would kill them to
- 1:15:54cover up his alleged sexual abuse.
- 1:15:56The decision to resentence Eric and Lao Menendez was a
- 1:15:58monumental one that has significant implications for the
- 1:16:01families involved, the community and the principles of justice,
- 1:16:04Hochman said in a statement Tuesday evening.
- 1:16:08Our office's motions to withdraw the re sentencing motion filed
- 1:16:11by the previous administration ensured that the court was
- 1:16:13presented with all the facts before making such a
- 1:16:16consequential decision. The District Attorney's office
- 1:16:18did not put forth any witnesses Tuesday in a closing argument
- 1:16:22that was repeatedly interrupted by Jessica, who kept noting
- 1:16:24prosecutors were applying the wrong legal standard.
- 1:16:28Deputy District Attorney Habib Balian question whether the
- 1:16:32court could really believe the brothers would not re offend.
- 1:16:35Re sentencing is about one important word, trust, Valian
- 1:16:38said. The Menendez brothers are asking
- 1:16:40you trust us, trust that we won't commit more crimes.
- 1:16:43We have to ask ourselves, are they trustworthy?
- 1:16:46Valian also spoke about the gruesome nature of the crime
- 1:16:49scene, noting how forensic evidence showed some of the
- 1:16:52shotgun blasts were fired out of Point Blake range to highlight
- 1:16:55the viciousness of the crime. For Alt, whose mother was Jose
- 1:16:59Menendez's older sister, said in court that the family had
- 1:17:03endured decades of pain from the scrutiny of the murders.
- 1:17:06From the day it happened, it has been a relentless examination of
- 1:17:09our family in the public eye. She said beginning to cry has
- 1:17:12been tortured for decades. She said the family was the butt
- 1:17:15of repeated jokes on Saturday Night Live and lived like
- 1:17:18Outkast, who wore Scarlet M in the gruesome 1989 murders.
- 1:17:22The brothers brought shotguns with cash and opened fire as
- 1:17:25their mother and father watched a movie.
- 1:17:27Jose Menendez was shot five times, including in the kneecaps
- 1:17:31and the back of the head. Kitty Menendez crawled on the
- 1:17:34floor wounded before one of the brothers reloaded and fired, a
- 1:17:37fatal blasters heard at the two trials.
- 1:17:41On the stand Tuesday, Berolt echoed the brother's
- 1:17:42justification for killing their parents, saying it was related
- 1:17:45to sexual abuse they endured. But Brawl also told the judge
- 1:17:48that she believes they have changed and are very aware of
- 1:17:50the consequences of their actions.
- 1:17:52I don't think they're the same people they were 30 years ago,
- 1:17:54she said. Diane Hernandez, another cousin,
- 1:17:57told the courtroom about the hallway rule that the governed
- 1:17:59where people could or could not be in Jose's Menendez's home.
- 1:18:03If the father was alone with Eric and Lyle in an upstairs
- 1:18:06room, no one else could be on that level, she said.
- 1:18:08Often times, Hernandez said, Jose would then tell the rest of
- 1:18:11the family whichever brother he had just isolated felt sick and
- 1:18:15could not join the family for dinner.
- 1:18:17On cross examination, she said she never witnessed either
- 1:18:19brother being abused. This goes on and on and on, but
- 1:18:25what do you think? I mean, I kind of saw this
- 1:18:28coming. There's been a big move to
- 1:18:29release them for a while. I mean, I'm glad they're at
- 1:18:32least admitting that they killed their parents because they did
- 1:18:35not do that in the beginning and they were blowing through their
- 1:18:38inheritance like crazy. There's a John Starks.
- 1:18:42Yeah, John Starks New York Knicks basketball card where
- 1:18:46they're in the background sitting courtside post killing
- 1:18:48their parents. Really.
- 1:18:52Yeah, that's you can look it up. It's pretty crazy.
- 1:18:56I mean, when you look at all of it in the totality and you hear
- 1:19:00stories like that, I definitely think their dad was abusing them
- 1:19:04and they retaliated and their mom was somewhat aware of it and
- 1:19:08didn't do anything to stop it. So I think that's where they
- 1:19:11also took her life. But I mean, it was a stupid
- 1:19:15crime. There's so many different ways
- 1:19:17you can watch stories. You can watch documentaries,
- 1:19:19reenactments. But I mean, it makes sense that
- 1:19:22they're getting released. It makes sense.
- 1:19:25Yeah, but I mean, it was they fired the District Attorney that
- 1:19:29that petitioned for them to get resentenced.
- 1:19:31And then the new guy came in. He was like, no, fuck that.
- 1:19:33We don't want to do that. I don't know why.
- 1:19:35But then they still did it, which was cool.
- 1:19:39I'm fine with it. Yeah, I got no B for that.
- 1:19:45OK, and finally, we just had an article in here about Trump's
- 1:19:53first foreign trip this term out into the Middle East.
- 1:19:59OK, from the Wall Street Journal by Stephen Callan, Alexander
- 1:20:04Ward and Alex Leary from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- 1:20:09President Trump basked in the desert kingdom's glitzy welcome
- 1:20:12as he announced an end to sanctions on Syria, signed
- 1:20:15investment deals with Saudi Arabia and issued A pointed
- 1:20:18warning to Iran on the 1st of a four day Middle East visit.
- 1:20:21Trump sealed $300 billion in deals with the Saudis with an
- 1:20:25eye toward doubling that total within four years.
- 1:20:28Keeping praise on the kingdom's Crown Prince Mohammed bin
- 1:20:31Salman, he encouraged Riya to move toward normalizing
- 1:20:34relations with Israel despite the continuing war in Gaza that
- 1:20:37left Palestinians no closer to self rule, a long standing Saudi
- 1:20:41precondition. Trump also issued an ultimatum
- 1:20:45to Iran as he aims to prevent the country from obtaining a
- 1:20:47nuclear weapon. One way or another, make your
- 1:20:50move, he said, adding the country would face massive
- 1:20:52maximum pressure if it doesn't curb its nuclear work soon.
- 1:20:57Gaffer will not last forever. Trump said he would lift U.S.
- 1:21:00sanctions against Syria, giving its new rulers a financial
- 1:21:03lifeline after a lightning campaign overthrew its decades
- 1:21:06long dictator late last year. US leaders expected to hold a
- 1:21:10brief meeting with the new Syrian President, Ahmed Al
- 1:21:12Shara, Wednesday in the Saudi capital.
- 1:21:15Now it's their time to shine, Trump said.
- 1:21:17We're taking them all off. I actually support that.
- 1:21:22Well, you know that he's also, I mean, their new leader is like
- 1:21:28killed tons of American soldiers, his former leader.
- 1:21:31Incorrect. No.
- 1:21:33Then what? What is this all I hear about
- 1:21:34him being a part of Al Qaeda? He was, he was, he used to be an
- 1:21:38Al Qaeda and then he was an ISIS and then he left both of them.
- 1:21:43But he isn't killing any American soldiers.
- 1:21:49He's an Al Qaeda and he's an ISIS.
- 1:21:51He gets a pass. He doesn't get a pass bro.
- 1:21:55He, he, he got a bunch of dudes rolled up and fucking took
- 1:22:00Bashar al-Assad out. Him and his daddy been running
- 1:22:03that country for 50 fucking years.
- 1:22:04He took it. All right, and.
- 1:22:07Russians. Russians.
- 1:22:09What about him? No, no, this is probably
- 1:22:12bullshit, but there's also rumors and stories about Trump
- 1:22:17building using his company to build in Syria.
- 1:22:22Like I'm sure that, well, I'm sure he's going to.
- 1:22:24Like some sort of Trump Trump Tower type shit of.
- 1:22:27Course, yeah, no doubt. I mean, Damascus is the oldest
- 1:22:31city in the world, dude. Syria could pop off and Syria's
- 1:22:34always been like a like, like a mix of all different, like
- 1:22:40religions and cultures and shit. And, and Tony, like this new
- 1:22:47leader is like saying he's, he's literally saying all the right
- 1:22:50things. He's getting like women's
- 1:22:51rights, no sectarian violence. Like we'll see how it plays out,
- 1:22:58but so far so good. Those are just some of the
- 1:23:04counterpoints I've heard about. No, no, totally legit.
- 1:23:08He, he's a designated terrorist. He's on the fucking list.
- 1:23:11And and so that's why I I, and then the sanctions were because
- 1:23:16of Bashar al-Assad, you know, committing fucking war crimes
- 1:23:21like dropping like chlorine gas and sarin gas on his fucking
- 1:23:24people. But so now that he's gone, like
- 1:23:28the sanctions would just make it really hard like for them to
- 1:23:31bounce back. And this looks like this could
- 1:23:33be a moment. So like that was a hindrance,
- 1:23:35but then also him being labeled as a terrorist.
- 1:23:37It's also a problem. But I don't know, it's better
- 1:23:41than like, we'll see what happens.
- 1:23:48His overarching message was that the US will remain engaged in
- 1:23:51close to the region as long as its money pours into the
- 1:23:53American economy. You achieve the modern miracle
- 1:23:56the Arabian way, Trump said of the Gulf's oil rich monarchies.
- 1:24:00The Gulf nations have shown this entire region a path towards
- 1:24:03safe and orderly societies with improving quality of life,
- 1:24:06flourishing economic growth, expanding personal freedoms,
- 1:24:09bullshit and increasing responsibilities on the world
- 1:24:12stage. Trump's visit to Riyadh kicked
- 1:24:15off with a Saudi F15 air score as Air Force One touched down at
- 1:24:19King Khalid International Airport on Tuesday.
- 1:24:22Drums boomed and horns blared as Prince Mohammed, the country's
- 1:24:26de facto ruler, greeted Trump on a lavender colored carpet rolled
- 1:24:30out beneath the American plane. They then why am I reading this?
- 1:24:35They then walked into the airport for a private ceremony
- 1:24:38lined by WAVY US Saudi flags to welcome the president as many of
- 1:24:41the senior officials, including secretary, make a wish of State
- 1:24:45Marco Rubio and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
- 1:24:48Trump and Muhammad also shook the hands of government and
- 1:24:51business dignitaries ahead of the launch of the Royal Court,
- 1:24:54often stopping to speak at length with the most notable
- 1:24:56guests, who include billionaire Elon Musk and FIFA FIFA
- 1:25:00President Yani Infantino. But the reasons many challenges
- 1:25:05threaten to darken the cheery display.
- 1:25:07Trump landed in the Middle East, transferred by nearly two years
- 1:25:10of war after October 7th, 2023. Hamas LED attacks on Israel,
- 1:25:15which responded with a military campaign in Gaza that killed 10s
- 1:25:17of thousands of people. Another Israeli war last year
- 1:25:20against Hezbollah, the collapse of Syria's long time dictator,
- 1:25:23and two direct exchanges of fire between Israel and Iran left to
- 1:25:27run, greatly weakened Syria's new leaders.
- 1:25:30Shira, an Islamist formally aligned with the Islamic State
- 1:25:34in Iraq and al Qaeda who is still designated by Washington
- 1:25:37as a terrorist, is trying to win US support to rebuild Syria
- 1:25:41after more than decade of a civil war.
- 1:25:44He has sworn off his ties to radicalism and promised to run
- 1:25:47an inclusive government. He's reaching out through
- 1:25:49intermediaries to Israel and signaling willingness to let
- 1:25:52U.S. oil and gas companies work in the country.
- 1:25:55Syrian government officials have said Shira wants to share with
- 1:25:58Trump his vision of a Marshall Plan style reconstruction in
- 1:26:01which American and other Western companies would win over or
- 1:26:05would win out over China and other powers.
- 1:26:08Trump said he announced the end of Syria sanctions after
- 1:26:10discussing it with Turkish President Recep Type Erdogan and
- 1:26:16Prince Mohammed. Oh, what I do for the Crown
- 1:26:19Prince, Oh my God. Syrians celebrated the
- 1:26:22announcement, as did other countries in the region,
- 1:26:24including Jordan and Lebanon. We must give the new Syria a
- 1:26:27chance to rebuild and thrive. No guarantees, but if Syria is
- 1:26:31Hanford economically, it almost assures chaos and openings for
- 1:26:34extremists, said Dan Shapiro, a former Biden administration
- 1:26:38Pentagon official who oversaw the Middle East.
- 1:26:40This is the right gamble. See, even the Biden
- 1:26:42administration agrees. Others were less enthusiastic.
- 1:26:46Senator Lindsey Graham noted that Syria is still designated
- 1:26:48by the US as a state sponsor of terrorism.
- 1:26:50Instead, a decision to lift that should be reviewed by Congress.
- 1:26:53OK, I agree it should be, but they're not like.
- 1:26:57They don't go to Congress for anything.
- 1:26:59So yeah, Congress like, yeah, you guys like don't even want to
- 1:27:02do that. You don't want to be like like
- 1:27:03on the record saying that you did that at.
- 1:27:05This point, they just want to be involved.
- 1:27:08Like, please talk to me. Waving congressionally past
- 1:27:12sanctions is a complicated process, he said in a statement.
- 1:27:15While I would like to empower the new players in Syria, it has
- 1:27:18to be done in a coordinated fashion with our allies,
- 1:27:20especially our friends in Israel, so the numerous
- 1:27:23securities concerns can be addressed.
- 1:27:25Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has demanded that
- 1:27:28southern Syria be demilitarized and said that Syrian leadership
- 1:27:32forces won't be allowed in the region.
- 1:27:34Trump's trip also brings the president to the shores across
- 1:27:36from Iran, just as his administration is engaged in
- 1:27:39diplomatic efforts to curb Tehran's nuclear program.
- 1:27:42A fourth round of talks between Usus and Iranian officials on
- 1:27:45Sunday failed to make clear progress.
- 1:27:47While Trump will be quick will be a quick plane ride from
- 1:27:51Israel, he isn't scheduled to stop there.
- 1:27:54A glaring miss amid rising tensions with Netanyahu over
- 1:27:57Iran, persistent Houthi aggressions from Yemen and
- 1:28:00Gaza's fate. the US president struggled to broker a ceasefire
- 1:28:03and hostage release deal in Gaza, which Riyadh once before
- 1:28:07talking about normalizing relations with Israel.
- 1:28:10But Trump didn't did succeed in getting Hamas on Monday to
- 1:28:12release the last living American hostage, Eden Alexander.
- 1:28:16In a speech, Trump urged Saudi Arabia to join the Abraham
- 1:28:19Accords, the normalization pacts with Israel that allow for
- 1:28:22closer economic, political and cultural ties.
- 1:28:25Riyadh has has resisted such a move after Israel's attacks on
- 1:28:29Hamas in Gaza and rejection of A2 state solution.
- 1:28:32That didn't stop Trump from pressing the issue.
- 1:28:35It will be a special day in the Middle East, the whole world
- 1:28:37watching, when Saudi Arabia joins us.
- 1:28:39And you'll be greatly honoring me and you'll be greatly
- 1:28:41honoring all those people that have fought so hard for the
- 1:28:43Middle East, Trump said. But you'll do it in your own
- 1:28:46time. And there's the personal matter
- 1:28:48how Trump and his family profit from foreign nations, including
- 1:28:52those on the itinerary contributing to his
- 1:28:54cryptocurrency and branded projects.
- 1:28:57Trump is facing scrutiny over the administration's talks with
- 1:28:59Doha about accepting a luxury Qatari plane as the new Air
- 1:29:03Force One. The three Gulf nations will save
- 1:29:06sensitive foreign policy issues for closed doors discussions.
- 1:29:09The public messaging will sit around more closely aligning
- 1:29:11their economic interests with Washington's.
- 1:29:15All right. I mean, I guess it's a we'll see
- 1:29:20how it plays out. Yeah.
- 1:29:24We'll see. It's not a bad move.
- 1:29:28I mean, you can't punish everybody for Al Assad's
- 1:29:32bullshit because he was a total scumbag.
- 1:29:33He's still in Russia, right? Just hiding now.
- 1:29:36Yeah, hiding. He's just in Moscow.
- 1:29:38That's where he lives now. It's.
- 1:29:39Just like vibing, just chilling. Yeah.
- 1:29:42He's like, I did. I did my best.
- 1:29:44I tried you guys. I mean, it's it's kind of I
- 1:29:48like, I'm sure like Putin fucking hates him, but like
- 1:29:51Putin has to like keep him alive.
- 1:29:53Otherwise he's not really going to like get a dictator to do
- 1:29:55what he wants again. You know, like dude, like he
- 1:29:58just let Bashar all saw get toppled.
- 1:29:59Like what the fuck are we going to trust you?
- 1:30:06Yeah. I mean, we'll see like, but I
- 1:30:08mean, that's, that's the right move.
- 1:30:10I see what you're saying. It's a better gamble and to
- 1:30:14trying to allow them to reach a point of like economic.
- 1:30:20I mean, the sanctions, we're just saying that, that, that you
- 1:30:23can't do business with us or no, no American companies can do
- 1:30:28business with with those Syrian companies that are tied to the
- 1:30:32Assad organization because he's a fucking war criminal.
- 1:30:34Now he's gone. So we don't need to have.
- 1:30:37Extinctions on there, it's like resetting and then it's like
- 1:30:40they start. Doing if they fuck around we
- 1:30:42could always put them. Back, put them back on.
- 1:30:44It's a piece of. Paper.
- 1:30:46That's true. That's true.
- 1:30:52Crazy time to be alive. Crazy dams Meditate, bitches.
- 1:31:00So you got anything else for us? But you just said it.
- 1:31:04Make sure y'all like, follow, subscribe, like share, comment,
- 1:31:08what the fuck ever you want. Of course we always appreciate
- 1:31:11y'all hanging out with us listening.
- 1:31:13Sorry my voice sucks today, but it just fucking does.
- 1:31:16It'll be better next week. Get the fuck over it.
- 1:31:22And yeah, lock Diddy up dude. Keep it locked up. 4-4 days is
- 1:31:29the longest, bro. This Diddy trial, dude, it's
- 1:31:36going to be the craziest thing. It's like the obscene trial we
- 1:31:39never got, basically. Well, you'll be good.
- 1:31:47Be safe, stay out of trouble, and as always, go fuck
- 1:31:52yourselves. Go fuck yourselves.
