- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with her radio. We're starting this podcast off with some
- 0:10Speaker 1: news that Ben just informed me about, Like crapply, he
- 0:16Speaker 1: just found a black widow, just like right now, found
- 0:19Speaker 1: a black widow yure right now, right before we press
- 0:23Speaker 1: the record, Yeah, I did. Do you know how scared
- 0:27Speaker 1: I am most spiders, let alone one that is actually poisonous,
- 0:31Speaker 1: Like you could die, I could have. Yeah, I guess well,
- 0:35Speaker 1: I mean, I'm I'm a big guy, but like my puppy,
- 0:38Speaker 1: my wife's My wife's a tiny human, little Jess, like
- 0:42Speaker 1: she'd have ten minutes to go to the hospital. Isn't
- 0:45Speaker 1: it crazy that things like that could just crawl into
- 0:49Speaker 1: our house and something that big could truly just kill us?
- 0:52Speaker 1: Am I being an alarmist a little bit? I mean
- 0:56Speaker 1: I didn't think of it to this. So what happened
- 0:58Speaker 1: was we had Jesse's brother and sister in law in
- 1:02Speaker 1: town this weekend and it was awesome. Uh, we had
- 1:06Speaker 1: a really incredible time. They stayed in our basement and
- 1:10Speaker 1: then this morning before they left, they were downstairs and
- 1:13Speaker 1: we found in the room that they're sleeping in a
- 1:15Speaker 1: black widow on the wall. Now, I am a little
- 1:19Speaker 1: bit less wearisome because here's what happened. I don't know
- 1:22Speaker 1: if you guys remember this story from a few years
- 1:24Speaker 1: ago at my former house before Jessica and I moved.
- 1:28Speaker 1: I went to my garage one day and there was
- 1:31Speaker 1: all these little nests and eggs everywhere inside the garage.
- 1:35Speaker 1: It was a detached garage in the back of the yard. Um,
- 1:38Speaker 1: thank good Lord. And uh, wall of a sudden, I'm
- 1:42Speaker 1: like looking at the eggs and I noticed that it's
- 1:45Speaker 1: Mother's on all of them, and it's black widows. We
- 1:47Speaker 1: had an infestation in the garage where my office was.
- 1:50Speaker 1: I had built my office in said the garage, and
- 1:53Speaker 1: so inside like my office in my garage where I
- 1:55Speaker 1: used to record this podcast. Uh, they found over three
- 1:59Speaker 1: black widow and so, oh my god, yeah, oh my god.
- 2:03Speaker 1: The imagery I would I don't know what i'd rather do.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything in this world that I
- 2:10Speaker 1: that I would be scared of. It would be less, yeah,
- 2:13Speaker 1: that I would be more scared of than seeing the fit.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Like there's something about that creepy, crawling body. I know
- 2:19Speaker 1: they're tiny, but I would rather feel like I would
- 2:24Speaker 1: I'd rather face a shark or an alligator. Interest think
- 2:28Speaker 1: interesting thought? Okay continue? Sorry, Yeah, so we're in the
- 2:34Speaker 1: process today. Jessica obviously isn't it like a massive fan
- 2:37Speaker 1: of spiders, And so my afternoon is going to look
- 2:40Speaker 1: like working and then also trying to figure out the
- 2:44Speaker 1: best way to uh rid my house in the safest
- 2:48Speaker 1: ways possible of black widows and make sure that there
- 2:51Speaker 1: aren't a ton crawling in the sheets and crawling around
- 2:55Speaker 1: in the beds. Um. So I'm gonna do a whole
- 2:58Speaker 1: lookout if you hear some stuff going on the background,
- 3:00Speaker 1: I do have a couple of people out right now
- 3:02Speaker 1: looking through uh the house, making sure um that there's
- 3:07Speaker 1: no like, no immediate threat because they are pretty dangerous,
- 3:12Speaker 1: but they are there are pretty creepy to like when
- 3:15Speaker 1: I'm not usually that scared of spiders, but when you
- 3:17Speaker 1: see a black widow, like the black with the hourglass
- 3:20Speaker 1: on the on the bottom of it, um, it looks
- 3:24Speaker 1: like it wants to destroy you, Like it just looks
- 3:26Speaker 1: like it's ready to pound. So that's my morning. Actually,
- 3:30Speaker 1: it's been a great morning. I've got to work out
- 3:32Speaker 1: in I found a spider uh and now to watch
- 3:36Speaker 1: this lovely episode one that the fans they're going wild
- 3:41Speaker 1: over they thought it was the most fantastic thing they've
- 3:43Speaker 1: ever seen. That's not true, No, not not not true.
- 3:47Speaker 1: So so we're gonna jump into recapping the episode. I
- 3:51Speaker 1: don't even know how much recapping we're gonna do of
- 3:53Speaker 1: the recap, So we're gonna break this up into two sections.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Because of the fans reaction and because I think of
- 3:58Speaker 1: most people's reaction, Uh, it would be hard. I honestly
- 4:03Speaker 1: don't know if I saw one positive comment about the
- 4:05Speaker 1: show last night on Twitter or on Instagram. So both
- 4:11Speaker 1: because we break down the show actually and I want
- 4:13Speaker 1: to try to give a little perspective to what was happening.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So we're gonna break it up a no positive and
- 4:19Speaker 1: negative section. What was positive about this show? And then
- 4:22Speaker 1: what was negative? What? What? What things do we feel
- 4:25Speaker 1: like we just missed on? Because I do think the
- 4:28Speaker 1: show missed on some stuff. I do find it a
- 4:31Speaker 1: little confusing. But let's jump into the positive first, which
- 4:35Speaker 1: is who one of my favorite you know, members of
- 4:38Speaker 1: this show this season is Aven. I've liked David since
- 4:41Speaker 1: the beginning. I think you have to. I feel like
- 4:45Speaker 1: he is especially on this hometown actually that's how you
- 4:49Speaker 1: kick it off. I feel like he is quieter than
- 4:51Speaker 1: I expected him to be. Um, I felt like he
- 4:55Speaker 1: could be. I think he's a sweet guy, and I
- 4:58Speaker 1: actually think he could probably be the one at the
- 5:00Speaker 1: end because he is. He listens well, he's considerate, he
- 5:06Speaker 1: was definitely receptive of his dad and mom's advice. But
- 5:10Speaker 1: he is quieter than I expected. Um. We don't, honestly,
- 5:14Speaker 1: as much as I like him, I just don't know
- 5:16Speaker 1: a lot about him yet. I really don't have much
- 5:20Speaker 1: to add. I completely agree with you. I like the
- 5:24Speaker 1: fact that his hometown is Salem. Just looking around was
- 5:27Speaker 1: fun for a second, which Jay was a little silly,
- 5:31Speaker 1: but you know, when you're in Salem, you must. And yeah,
- 5:35Speaker 1: I liked his parents. I don't think that they were
- 5:37Speaker 1: nearly as scary as he prepped Rachel for being. And
- 5:41Speaker 1: he is just that nice, sweet, good looking guy. There's
- 5:44Speaker 1: really there's I got no complaints about him. Well, there
- 5:49Speaker 1: is a comment here something that I felt as a
- 5:53Speaker 1: viewer I did not enjoy, and I don't know if
- 5:55Speaker 1: I've ever recognized this until this episode. I I like
- 6:00Speaker 1: hometowns a lot. I think it's a fun episode, but
- 6:04Speaker 1: their date, even though yeah, you're in Salem and stuff,
- 6:07Speaker 1: it didn't help me know anything more about him. And
- 6:10Speaker 1: that's what I really feel like. Hometowns are meant to be,
- 6:14Speaker 1: like what do you do in your hometown? Even like
- 6:16Speaker 1: how do you spend your day? Even if it's as
- 6:18Speaker 1: simple is going to like the high school you know
- 6:22Speaker 1: and meeting and showing off your old high school, or
- 6:25Speaker 1: going to your favorite restaurant in town, Like, I'm not
- 6:27Speaker 1: looking for an extravagant date in your hometown. I just
- 6:30Speaker 1: want to learn something about what your daily life looks like,
- 6:34Speaker 1: or what your daily life looked like when you lived
- 6:36Speaker 1: in this town. And I feel like their date didn't
- 6:39Speaker 1: give me any of that. And so I leave this
- 6:41Speaker 1: day against saying I like, even I think he's he
- 6:44Speaker 1: seems great, I just don't know anything about him yet.
- 6:47Speaker 1: That was actually quite perspective, like you had a great
- 6:50Speaker 1: That was intuitive of you to pick up on that,
- 6:53Speaker 1: because I was like, oh, of course a great something
- 6:56Speaker 1: like this, not thinking that they could have utilized it better. Sure,
- 7:00Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure Salem obviously has the history and
- 7:02Speaker 1: has the kind of uh the known factor of what
- 7:06Speaker 1: Salem is for and what goes on there, and I'm
- 7:08Speaker 1: sure that's a huge part of their culture as a town.
- 7:11Speaker 1: It sure is like they live for Halloween. Sure, and
- 7:15Speaker 1: that's awesome, that's great. Well, but even I want to
- 7:18Speaker 1: know more about what you do. I mean, maybe this
- 7:20Speaker 1: was what you do, but I never heard it during
- 7:21Speaker 1: the episode where he told Rachel, Hey, this is how
- 7:25Speaker 1: I spend my days in Salem, like going to these shops.
- 7:30Speaker 1: That had been fine if that's the thing, but it
- 7:32Speaker 1: would have helped me at least know Um, but he doesn't.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I don't think he spends time going to those shops
- 7:37Speaker 1: it was. I don't think he does either. But it
- 7:40Speaker 1: was also odd to me Ashley Um that this hometown
- 7:44Speaker 1: air during this episode. It definitely kind of threw me off,
- 7:48Speaker 1: like it was a weird switch, but I got back
- 7:50Speaker 1: into it. The positives of this. I thought Even's parents
- 7:55Speaker 1: were great. They were the perfect amount of not harsh
- 8:00Speaker 1: but inquisitive of concerned, also excited. I thought they had
- 8:05Speaker 1: a good mix. They balanced each other out well, um,
- 8:09Speaker 1: and they made sure to ask good questions. But they
- 8:11Speaker 1: definitely didn't uh leave Rachel or even. I don't think
- 8:17Speaker 1: looking for wondering if there are support for the two
- 8:20Speaker 1: of them together. You you left wondering if there was
- 8:26Speaker 1: the support. There's good support. Yeah, yeah, I said, they're
- 8:30Speaker 1: they're the perfect mix. Where I didn't watch it and go,
- 8:32Speaker 1: oh my gosh, are they for or against this whole thing? No,
- 8:35Speaker 1: they asked good questions, they were concerned, they were inquisitive,
- 8:39Speaker 1: they pressured and pushed a little bit, but they also
- 8:41Speaker 1: gave the validation to the two of them that hey,
- 8:43Speaker 1: if you guys are adults, if you're into this and
- 8:45Speaker 1: you want to run with this, go for it. Yeah.
- 8:48Speaker 1: It was like perfect parenting. It's great. I mean. And
- 8:51Speaker 1: then and honestly, uh, and and this we're still in
- 8:54Speaker 1: the positive section of this podcast. We were still speaking
- 8:58Speaker 1: positively about this episode because we want to pull some
- 9:01Speaker 1: good things out. Uh. The dad was a huge hit
- 9:06Speaker 1: on Twitter. He was He was such a cutie, very
- 9:10Speaker 1: very sweet. Many definitely handled it in a way that
- 9:15Speaker 1: like Tino's dad could have last week where he is
- 9:19Speaker 1: a little skeptical um wants them to remain in the
- 9:22Speaker 1: real world, but did it with an attitude that was supportive. Okay,
- 9:28Speaker 1: so onto then the mental awe which happened after the
- 9:33Speaker 1: hometown date. Again, just to be clear, we're speaking on
- 9:37Speaker 1: the positives right now, so we're not going to mention
- 9:40Speaker 1: that we didn't see the road ceremony, because that wouldn't
- 9:42Speaker 1: be a positive in our minds. But the positives and
- 9:46Speaker 1: the mente all Ashley, what stood out to you that
- 9:48Speaker 1: you fought felt was um genuine, sincere, likable, loving and
- 9:53Speaker 1: added to the to the to this whole storyline the season. Well,
- 9:58Speaker 1: you're not to put you on the spot. Definitely spot,
- 10:02Speaker 1: but you're not gonna like my aunts. It was the
- 10:06Speaker 1: commercial for the Bros ad for the movie that I
- 10:11Speaker 1: was actually like, ah, I would like to see this.
- 10:15Speaker 1: Oh goodness, that's it. I uh, let's see. Let me
- 10:20Speaker 1: let me scroll through these notes here for a second.
- 10:24Speaker 1: The Paradise preview. That was fun. Actually, we're not even
- 10:28Speaker 1: talking about the show anymore. Even though twenty seven percent
- 10:32Speaker 1: of the show was ads. That's what I just found
- 10:34Speaker 1: out this morning, I know, because Bachelor Data did something.
- 10:37Speaker 1: So it was like, in addition to the actual commercials,
- 10:41Speaker 1: there was like built in ads for you know, we
- 10:44Speaker 1: could assume like over fifty of this show was us
- 10:46Speaker 1: watching a promo for something else, which was most people's
- 10:49Speaker 1: biggest critique. Okay, but we're still in the positive Okay, okay, okay, okay,
- 10:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna come up with something because I
- 10:54Speaker 1: do truly want to come up with something positive. Uh. Tyler,
- 10:57Speaker 1: his whole just demeter in presence there, I think is
- 11:00Speaker 1: always so sweet. I liked him and his always understanding
- 11:04Speaker 1: of the situation. Hope we seem in paradise. How same.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I liked seeing m Jordan's V again. Really want to
- 11:13Speaker 1: see Jordan V in paradise another stand standout, just a
- 11:18Speaker 1: moment for Jordan V. Just being there. In general, I
- 11:21Speaker 1: think it's like how in the war after like looking
- 11:23Speaker 1: at the mentor last night, Like how in the world
- 11:25Speaker 1: this dude not make it farther? Like I don't get it? Yeah? Uh.
- 11:30Speaker 1: And then I like our friends who we met last week, Spencer, Spencer, Spencer, Oh,
- 11:38Speaker 1: looking so good with the facial hair. Should have had
- 11:41Speaker 1: it more. Yeah, okay, So on of my positives. I uh,
- 11:45Speaker 1: I really enjoyed the bloopers. I know that some people don't,
- 11:48Speaker 1: but I liked the bloopers of Gabby, especially just being
- 11:53Speaker 1: like Gabby. You know, she's like Champagne. The Champagne was awesome.
- 11:57Speaker 1: She farted and like I know how that environment and
- 11:59Speaker 1: there's five people in a closed hot room because there's
- 12:02Speaker 1: lights and it's a close camera and there's audio and
- 12:05Speaker 1: all this stuff, and she's doing this interview and she
- 12:08Speaker 1: farts and she says, I'm sorry, but he hold their breath.
- 12:11Speaker 1: I thought that was fantastic. I never did that. Obviously,
- 12:14Speaker 1: I needed to multiple times, Oh you poor thing, you
- 12:17Speaker 1: had a tape worm or whatever pesticide, But like, I
- 12:24Speaker 1: never had the confidence of that. I thought that was
- 12:26Speaker 1: a very likable, relatable moment for Gabby during the bloopers,
- 12:29Speaker 1: where it's like this is who we remember her as
- 12:32Speaker 1: from Clayton's season. I did enjoy Tyler as well. I
- 12:36Speaker 1: also really liked one of my and I've said it
- 12:39Speaker 1: every season, I get really like angry, uh viscerally, like
- 12:45Speaker 1: very angry. When I watched Mentel all and I see
- 12:48Speaker 1: somebody that was there for like two hours critique the Bachelorettes,
- 12:51Speaker 1: her critique the other cast because they have no place,
- 12:54Speaker 1: they've they've not been there, they've only watched some of
- 12:57Speaker 1: these episodes on TV. Like everybody else, they can act,
- 13:01Speaker 1: they can act like they know what's going on. They
- 13:02Speaker 1: have no clue what's going on. So did Roby rob
- 13:06Speaker 1: you the wrong way? That was a negative? Finish hair? No,
- 13:12Speaker 1: gosh no uh I So Roby spoke out often at
- 13:18Speaker 1: the beginning. I really a positive was Ethan, who we've
- 13:22Speaker 1: grown to really like during this whole season, kind of
- 13:26Speaker 1: the guy that you never expected because he was quieter
- 13:29Speaker 1: at first. He kind of just sat back in the shadows.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Great looking dude, definitely a candidate to be the next Bachelor,
- 13:34Speaker 1: I think. But when he spoke up and said, hey,
- 13:37Speaker 1: you were you weren't even there, be like, stop bringing
- 13:41Speaker 1: up bad moments and stop bringing up controversy when you
- 13:46Speaker 1: have no ground to speak on. I find that an amazing,
- 13:52Speaker 1: amazing thing to like set the tone for the evening,
- 13:56Speaker 1: like this doesn't have to be controversial, it doesn't have
- 13:58Speaker 1: to be dramatic. There doesn't have to be arguments, especially
- 14:02Speaker 1: during a season like this where we don't have a
- 14:03Speaker 1: lot of cast arguments, and the ones that we did
- 14:06Speaker 1: have cast arguments against weren't even there, Like they didn't
- 14:09Speaker 1: even show up. So, yeah, what's it? I'm sorry, I'm
- 14:12Speaker 1: like horrible with his name is Hayden Hunter. Hayden, Yeah, Hayden.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I thought he was actually hiding in a trailer, but
- 14:21Speaker 1: I guess he didn't come. Yeah, Well, you can't necessarily
- 14:27Speaker 1: blame the dude, because he would have been probably Chris
- 14:31Speaker 1: and Hayden would have been the only two cast members
- 14:35Speaker 1: this season that would have consensus in within the house
- 14:39Speaker 1: to be mad at or too critique. So I mean,
- 14:42Speaker 1: I don't blame him for just being like, I know
- 14:44Speaker 1: what's going to happen. If I walk out there, I'm
- 14:46Speaker 1: just gonna get crushed and there's nothing I'm gonna be
- 14:48Speaker 1: able to say, so I'm not going. Yeah, I am
- 14:52Speaker 1: shocked because it really seems like it was a choice
- 14:55Speaker 1: of his not to go, and I feel like a
- 14:56Speaker 1: lot of people don't feel like they have a choice
- 14:58Speaker 1: to go or not. Apecially in this season where there
- 15:01Speaker 1: wasn't a ton of drama between the guys, you would
- 15:04Speaker 1: have thought that the show would have really wanted him
- 15:07Speaker 1: there for the conflict. I'm surprised he did not show.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I will say, I don't know what they're um agreements are.
- 15:16Speaker 1: I don't know what the situation is. I can't speak
- 15:19Speaker 1: to that. I would imagine if you agreed to be
- 15:23Speaker 1: on the show, you also are at some level agreeing
- 15:26Speaker 1: to do the mentel all or going to the live shows.
- 15:29Speaker 1: I would just imagine that. I mean, I think that's
- 15:31Speaker 1: how that works. So I'm surprised the show isn't like
- 15:33Speaker 1: I'm sorry, dude, like you have to go. Same So
- 15:37Speaker 1: who there's there's been bigger villains who have showed up.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Though not saying that, I'm not trying to downplay what
- 15:43Speaker 1: he said. What he said was pretty horrible. You know,
- 15:47Speaker 1: all the girls bitches that you're trying to do. But
- 15:50Speaker 1: like we've seen way bigger villains before up and you
- 15:53Speaker 1: they show up, So, I mean, I'm sure they wouldn't
- 15:56Speaker 1: have wanted to what I want to watch given the choice,
- 15:59Speaker 1: Like they should have shown us the conversation that Hayden
- 16:02Speaker 1: was having with ever whatever producer in the trailer, Like
- 16:04Speaker 1: that's what I want to see, is the producer being like, dude,
- 16:07Speaker 1: you gotta go, and he's like, nope, not leaving. They're like, oh,
- 16:11Speaker 1: you think he was in the trailer. I don't know.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I mean, I don't think so they put his name
- 16:15Speaker 1: on there for looks, Okay, well you've been fly out.
- 16:19Speaker 1: That's fair. I just would have loved to see the
- 16:21Speaker 1: behind the scenes of those conversations. Okay, Ashley, any other
- 16:24Speaker 1: positives for you. I thought the Bachelor that's really pretty,
- 16:31Speaker 1: really liked Gabby's dress. Yeah, do you You've liked Gabby's
- 16:35Speaker 1: dress all season. Now Rachel's you've been you've been a
- 16:38Speaker 1: little more critical. Every everybody has been a little bit
- 16:40Speaker 1: more critical of Rachel's. You know, Rachel kind of just
- 16:44Speaker 1: said she doesn't have a strong fashion sense and she
- 16:47Speaker 1: just kind of let them dress her. That's fair. That's fair. Okay,
- 17:01Speaker 1: So those are the positives. Now we're on a switch
- 17:05Speaker 1: to uh speaking into not just bashing, because I don't
- 17:09Speaker 1: think that's fun and it's not a great listen, But
- 17:12Speaker 1: we're gonna speak into some of the biggest criticisms of
- 17:16Speaker 1: fans for this episode, because there was a lot if
- 17:19Speaker 1: you are not aware, if you're listening right now, or
- 17:21Speaker 1: maybe you haven't even watched the episode yet and listen
- 17:23Speaker 1: to our podcast before you watch it, criticism came in
- 17:27Speaker 1: and it was I would say the most criticism I've
- 17:31Speaker 1: ever seen publicly on social media for an episode of
- 17:36Speaker 1: the show. And it wasn't criticism maybe like we've had
- 17:39Speaker 1: in the past towards a specific issue or something that
- 17:43Speaker 1: somebody felt, um offended by or they felt was inappropriate. No,
- 17:49Speaker 1: this was criticism just on kind of being bad, formatting, bored,
- 17:55Speaker 1: not not enjoying the watch, which you don't get a
- 17:57Speaker 1: lot during the batchelor. People love to hate the Bachelor's
- 17:59Speaker 1: very trendy to hate the Bachelor and Bachelor at but
- 18:03Speaker 1: you don't get a lot of people just criticizing the
- 18:06Speaker 1: I would say, boring nous of the show, Like if
- 18:09Speaker 1: you don't get a lot of people just saying why
- 18:10Speaker 1: am I watching this? Yeah, so okay, let's start at
- 18:14Speaker 1: the beginning. Do it chronologically. Ashley, what are your thoughts
- 18:19Speaker 1: on not showing the rose ceremony? And Jesse just simply saying, hey,
- 18:23Speaker 1: all the guys are staying. I wouldn't normally have minded it,
- 18:27Speaker 1: but when you see the kind of content that they
- 18:29Speaker 1: replaced it with, which was a lot of commercials um
- 18:36Speaker 1: and just overall like non substantial stuff, you make you
- 18:39Speaker 1: feel like, oh, the rose ceremony would have been more substantial.
- 18:42Speaker 1: I could have at least used the suspense of it,
- 18:44Speaker 1: like pretend as if well, yeah, I guess, like here's
- 18:47Speaker 1: a question that lingers. Did the guys go into that
- 18:51Speaker 1: rose ceremony knowing that they were all going to get
- 18:53Speaker 1: a rose. Was it just formality or we're you know, like,
- 18:58Speaker 1: we're all the Roses sitting there and they're like, oh, look,
- 19:00Speaker 1: we're all getting a rose. That's so exciting. Or was
- 19:03Speaker 1: there some sort of suspense? Okay, great point, and I
- 19:08Speaker 1: would have liked to know all those things. My comment
- 19:10Speaker 1: to that is I watched the show because I want
- 19:14Speaker 1: to watch the show. The Mental Law for me, I
- 19:17Speaker 1: could take it or leave it, Like I honestly, I
- 19:20Speaker 1: prefer not to even have this episode. I know we
- 19:23Speaker 1: always say it every time it comes around. I really
- 19:26Speaker 1: think they need to cut this episode. It's just run
- 19:29Speaker 1: its course if we know I don't enjoy it. Jesse
- 19:33Speaker 1: was like, what you've all been waiting for? The men?
- 19:36Speaker 1: Tell all? It's like, believe me, nobody in this audience
- 19:39Speaker 1: has been looking forward to The Mental all the most,
- 19:42Speaker 1: especially this season where there's been a very little amount
- 19:45Speaker 1: of drama between the guys. I have a positive, though,
- 19:48Speaker 1: I'm thought of another positive the super tease the rest
- 19:53Speaker 1: of the season. It's really really good. I have no
- 19:55Speaker 1: idea where it's leading, and it truly gets me pumped
- 19:58Speaker 1: to watch the final few episodes. Okay, so back to then.
- 20:01Speaker 1: What I was saying was, yes, we watched the show.
- 20:03Speaker 1: To watch the show, the super Tees was great, let's
- 20:06Speaker 1: get us into that, let's keep let's keep this thing moving.
- 20:09Speaker 1: The Mental All feels like an unnecessary break, an unnecessary
- 20:13Speaker 1: movement of a lack of momentum, especially when the Mental
- 20:16Speaker 1: All is like this. And so for them to cut
- 20:19Speaker 1: the rose ceremony for the Mental All makes me say,
- 20:22Speaker 1: I think the priorities were wrong, like cut the mentel
- 20:25Speaker 1: All for the rose ceremony. Um, I want to see
- 20:30Speaker 1: I want to see the drama. I want to know
- 20:31Speaker 1: who's going home. I want to see somebody sweat a
- 20:35Speaker 1: little bit. And so for them to cut it and
- 20:37Speaker 1: just do it like that, it felt unnecessary, but it
- 20:40Speaker 1: did at the beginning of this show, actley this We're
- 20:42Speaker 1: gonna keep moving on. Then from it did get me
- 20:44Speaker 1: excited for the Mental because I was like, there's so
- 20:46Speaker 1: much stuff in this Mental All that they can't even
- 20:49Speaker 1: do the roast everybody. Now, uh, my thoughts are proven incorrect,
- 20:53Speaker 1: But that doesn't mean that I wasn't excited for a moment. Okay,
- 20:56Speaker 1: So the next thing any tweet from Dan Emerson just
- 21:01Speaker 1: a fan online he goes, we didn't have time for
- 21:04Speaker 1: a rose ceremony, but we had time for an app
- 21:06Speaker 1: demonstration and a cruise giveaway. And then there's a judge
- 21:11Speaker 1: look from Judge duty as a gift attached to that's
- 21:14Speaker 1: pretty cute, definitely and very uh not untrue. Okay, So
- 21:19Speaker 1: the next big criticism, I don't even know if it's
- 21:21Speaker 1: a criticism, uh is Roby comes out with platinum blond hair.
- 21:25Speaker 1: Now Roby can do what Roby wants to do if
- 21:27Speaker 1: he wants to have platinum blond hair. Uh. As I
- 21:30Speaker 1: get older, my philosophy is, go do that, Roby. However,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I feel like it was a host mistake to not
- 21:38Speaker 1: even ask Roby why in the world that he dies
- 21:39Speaker 1: hair platinum bond. We have no clue. He just showed
- 21:41Speaker 1: up like this. Well we've only known Roby, as Ethan
- 21:46Speaker 1: pointed out, for about four hours, who's only in like
- 21:49Speaker 1: four hours of production time. Yet we do find we
- 21:54Speaker 1: we know that he's somebody who likes attention. He is
- 21:56Speaker 1: a magician. So I think the color was gonna get
- 21:59Speaker 1: him some attention, and he succeeded at that. He did succeed.
- 22:04Speaker 1: He wanted some attention, he got some attention. Unfortunately, I
- 22:09Speaker 1: just don't see it being beneficial. Like, I don't know
- 22:11Speaker 1: what he was going after he got a few moments
- 22:13Speaker 1: of speaking lines. I don't see this playing out very
- 22:16Speaker 1: well for Roby. I don't see him getting a lot
- 22:18Speaker 1: of gigs based on this episode. But that's my own opinion.
- 22:23Speaker 1: He can prove me wrong later on. Okay, So then
- 22:27Speaker 1: we go into the men's conversation, like where the men
- 22:30Speaker 1: are there talking amongst each other and Jesse is hosting
- 22:33Speaker 1: it honestly, Ashley and and and I'm gonna throw it
- 22:38Speaker 1: to you here. This would be my only comment. I
- 22:41Speaker 1: don't I just watched it a few hours ago. I
- 22:44Speaker 1: don't remember anything from their conversation, and that's not a
- 22:47Speaker 1: good thing. That means watch That's why we're not going
- 22:51Speaker 1: to go through it because we don't remember it, because
- 22:53Speaker 1: it was all inconsequential conversation. It was it just felt
- 22:58Speaker 1: like it was kind of a filler, you know. It
- 23:01Speaker 1: was like we're at the mentel. Also, the men have
- 23:03Speaker 1: to have this moment, but it didn't feel necessary, which
- 23:09Speaker 1: I believe. At this point, Jesse pauses us in the
- 23:11Speaker 1: show to give us an app demonstration of how pain
- 23:16Speaker 1: can be delivered, right, Champagne can be delivered on a
- 23:20Speaker 1: cruise ship. That's we are all currently not on. And
- 23:24Speaker 1: when he gives away to the cruise. Remember the tease
- 23:26Speaker 1: last week was that there is news that we're going
- 23:29Speaker 1: to get at mental All that's going to change our lives,
- 23:32Speaker 1: actually only changing the lives of the people in the
- 23:35Speaker 1: audience for a week, but they will have memories to
- 23:38Speaker 1: last lifetime. And you guys know, I've talked about Le
- 23:42Speaker 1: Trista two weeks ago, huge cruiser. So I am truly
- 23:45Speaker 1: jealous of everybody in that audience and I'm also very
- 23:48Speaker 1: happy from them at the same time that they get
- 23:50Speaker 1: there to this experience. But what let down for all
- 23:53Speaker 1: of us well, and that's what I think the show
- 23:55Speaker 1: needs to be careful of. And so to get a
- 23:57Speaker 1: little bit like farther out these teasers that are disappointing
- 24:03Speaker 1: lose trust in your audience. Oh my god, what a point,
- 24:07Speaker 1: Ben Higgins. You know, it's like you remember the days
- 24:10Speaker 1: of the Fence Jump, when there was a tease that
- 24:13Speaker 1: lived up people, people responded. And so during a season
- 24:17Speaker 1: of the show where the show is trying to gain
- 24:21Speaker 1: back the trust of the viewer, trying to um move
- 24:25Speaker 1: forward gaining the trust of the viewer. These big teases
- 24:30Speaker 1: that don't live up to the hype are I think
- 24:33Speaker 1: very Um. I want to use the word dangerous, but
- 24:36Speaker 1: dangerous seems very heavy. But like what I mean is these, uh,
- 24:42Speaker 1: these teasers that don't satisfy what we're all hoping for,
- 24:46Speaker 1: especially when they say it's life changing, I think make
- 24:49Speaker 1: the viewers at some point go, I'm done with this thing,
- 24:52Speaker 1: Like I don't want to watch this anymore. I don't
- 24:53Speaker 1: want to be drawn into something that's going to disappoint me.
- 24:57Speaker 1: The show has to deliver and and teasers like this
- 25:01Speaker 1: are not delivering. And if they don't deliver, then how
- 25:04Speaker 1: in the world is the show going to expect their
- 25:07Speaker 1: first episode when they show the highlights for the season
- 25:10Speaker 1: two gain the attention of the public if all they
- 25:15Speaker 1: think about in their mind is how many times do
- 25:17Speaker 1: the show disappointed me in the past? Ben, you're so
- 25:19Speaker 1: poignant today, like you're making me. Jenner would say, like,
- 25:24Speaker 1: realize things. An episode of realizing things and I have
- 25:30Speaker 1: not slept well. Um, but that's a topic for another time.
- 25:36Speaker 1: I'm glad that you brought your brain today because you
- 25:38Speaker 1: are sharp. Well, that's that's it. Okay, So we have
- 25:43Speaker 1: this app demonstration that if you're in a cruise ship
- 25:46Speaker 1: you can get champagne delivered, right, I mean, first off,
- 25:50Speaker 1: very cool. Does make me want to take a trip
- 25:53Speaker 1: on Virgin. They did a great job promoting Virgin. I
- 25:56Speaker 1: I say, like, I'm like a big commercial. I know.
- 26:01Speaker 1: But you know what the one question that was that
- 26:05Speaker 1: could have been answered at mental all, it wasn't how
- 26:09Speaker 1: Logan went about Well, I guess there's two questions, okay.
- 26:12Speaker 1: One there was the Nate drama. What happened off camera
- 26:17Speaker 1: him not telling an next about a child for a
- 26:18Speaker 1: year and a half. That was a one huge lingering question.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Jesse starts the episode by saying that we're going to
- 26:24Speaker 1: get answers to that. That's great, thank you, But um,
- 26:28Speaker 1: the other the other question that we have is Logan
- 26:32Speaker 1: and not his decision to switch teams quote quote but
- 26:36Speaker 1: whatever happened with the COVID thing? Why didn't everybody else
- 26:40Speaker 1: get COVID? And was his test really positive? And what
- 26:45Speaker 1: he just was eliminated? And where did he go and
- 26:47Speaker 1: all of this stuff? Why didn't he get to come
- 26:49Speaker 1: back when he was better? Those questions were not brought
- 26:52Speaker 1: up and not answered, which just further confirms to me
- 26:55Speaker 1: that there's some shady business going on there and they
- 26:58Speaker 1: just wanted to get rid of Logan. Yeah, I would
- 27:01Speaker 1: say that's a good way out. I think that's gonna
- 27:03Speaker 1: be one of those things that in a season we
- 27:05Speaker 1: forget even happened, and I think the show probably assumes
- 27:08Speaker 1: that we will forget it even happened. There are a
- 27:11Speaker 1: lot of questions there. I mean, Logan felt like he
- 27:13Speaker 1: was gaining a better relationship and so he had some
- 27:15Speaker 1: some momentum moving forward, and then all of a sudden,
- 27:18Speaker 1: you've gone. Nobody really talks about him. He's out of there.
- 27:30Speaker 1: Ashley after this app demonstration whereby get champagne. I'm sure
- 27:37Speaker 1: the crowd was loving it. These filmings are a long
- 27:40Speaker 1: time and so to get champagne during your eight hours
- 27:44Speaker 1: sitting during this show is probably very nice and it's
- 27:47Speaker 1: a good little treat for all the for all the
- 27:50Speaker 1: audience members. We move on then to Nate's conversation. Probably
- 27:57Speaker 1: it felt like would be the most important versation of
- 28:00Speaker 1: mental all I um, there's been some recent headlines come
- 28:05Speaker 1: out today that we know about. You know, we watch
- 28:08Speaker 1: this episode, Nate speaks to why he never introduced his
- 28:12Speaker 1: kids to the people he was dating his kid, his kid, uh,
- 28:17Speaker 1: and he's a dad. I mean I want to hold
- 28:21Speaker 1: criticism and judgment very loosely here, because he is a dad,
- 28:24Speaker 1: and you want a father uh and and a parent
- 28:29Speaker 1: to parent and bring up their child whatever ways they
- 28:32Speaker 1: see necessary to protect him and love on them. And
- 28:35Speaker 1: we have to assume he's doing all those things. So
- 28:37Speaker 1: I'm not you know, people last night were fairly critical
- 28:41Speaker 1: and positive on what Nate's words were. Right, Here's the
- 28:45Speaker 1: crazy part. Here's what things get weird to me, is
- 28:49Speaker 1: I think Nate, I felt like last night, this is
- 28:52Speaker 1: while pause actually because I want to hear your thoughts.
- 28:54Speaker 1: I thought last night they were so you're gonna make
- 28:56Speaker 1: me say the bad thing. No, no, no, no, not
- 28:58Speaker 1: not at all. Um. I felt like last night they
- 29:02Speaker 1: were setting Nate up. I felt like I was watching
- 29:03Speaker 1: them setting Ate up to be the bachelor, Like they
- 29:05Speaker 1: were trying to reconcile and and and spin not spin this,
- 29:11Speaker 1: but like bring it out enough where the public would
- 29:13Speaker 1: say Nate should be the Bachelor. I felt like that's
- 29:16Speaker 1: what I was watching. I don't think they were successful
- 29:18Speaker 1: in that. Today, I think we see that they definitely
- 29:22Speaker 1: were successful in that based on this headline that I'll
- 29:25Speaker 1: read here in just a second. But Ashley, what did
- 29:26Speaker 1: you think when you watched his interview? I thought it
- 29:31Speaker 1: was phony, okay, fair, and I get that, and I
- 29:35Speaker 1: felt like it was almost forced. Like I said, they
- 29:37Speaker 1: were trying to force this idea that he should be
- 29:40Speaker 1: the bachelor, even though you know, these rumors did come out,
- 29:44Speaker 1: and no matter what he says, people are going to
- 29:46Speaker 1: disagree with him. Right there. There is a divide on Hey,
- 29:50Speaker 1: he's doing the right thing here or he's doing the
- 29:52Speaker 1: wrong thing. But there's a divide. And now we see
- 29:57Speaker 1: today in the headline that Nate was seen holding hand
- 30:00Speaker 1: at a grocery store with a girl. Yes he was.
- 30:03Speaker 1: We don't know the girl's name, we don't know who
- 30:05Speaker 1: she is, but he was, and we also don't know
- 30:09Speaker 1: shape for that. I don't care for You know, he's
- 30:12Speaker 1: had time apart from Gabby, he got eliminated six, she
- 30:15Speaker 1: sent him home. Whatever, go hold hands with a girl
- 30:17Speaker 1: in a grocery store. That has nothing to do with
- 30:20Speaker 1: me thinking this came out across a phony. Across phony
- 30:24Speaker 1: to me a lot of the A lot of it
- 30:26Speaker 1: has to do with the way that they produced it.
- 30:28Speaker 1: They showed so many audiences faces during that interview, so
- 30:33Speaker 1: many women nodding or like being like yeah, it's like sympathy,
- 30:38Speaker 1: and they were so trying to make us be on
- 30:42Speaker 1: his team. It was almost so shoved down my throat
- 30:46Speaker 1: that I was like, no, no, you will not force
- 30:50Speaker 1: me to feel this. Yes, I mean I think that
- 30:54Speaker 1: you just brought up a great point. You're saying I'm
- 30:56Speaker 1: on it today. I think you're on it. I think
- 30:58Speaker 1: that's why this was hard for me to watch, because
- 31:00Speaker 1: I kept watching he would say something like I have
- 31:04Speaker 1: a daughter, and everybody in the audience. They'd show these
- 31:06Speaker 1: audience members just shaking their head, Oh yeah you do.
- 31:08Speaker 1: It's like, okay, come come on, like this this is
- 31:12Speaker 1: not this is not a talk show, right, this is
- 31:15Speaker 1: not a daytime talk show. I felt like a daytime
- 31:19Speaker 1: talk show. It was Dr Corney, Yes, one hundred percent.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Jared even pointed out that they that they said they
- 31:28Speaker 1: made sure to poise the conversation in a way that
- 31:31Speaker 1: it started out with good things about Nate, then they
- 31:34Speaker 1: addressed the controversy, and then they ended with good things
- 31:37Speaker 1: about Nate and they had to have what's his name?
- 31:40Speaker 1: I have no freaking idea in the line of men
- 31:43Speaker 1: say hey, hey, Jesse can I had erupt for a second.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I just want to say that a good man does
- 31:50Speaker 1: make other men better, and that is what Nate did
- 31:53Speaker 1: to me. Like it was all so calculated to make
- 31:58Speaker 1: him the next Bachelor, and we're just all I just
- 32:01Speaker 1: feel like we're all not having it. Even if we
- 32:03Speaker 1: read one of the headlines. There is a headline in
- 32:07Speaker 1: which basically backstage at Mentell, all Gabby, Rachel and some
- 32:11Speaker 1: of the men, I'll talk about who they want to
- 32:13Speaker 1: see as Bachelor and they all say Nate. And it's
- 32:18Speaker 1: just too much And I'm sorry, I'm going to ramble now.
- 32:22Speaker 1: If if this was a guy that we saw so
- 32:25Speaker 1: much screen time from and that we just like, we're
- 32:27Speaker 1: so obsessed with and so loved during the season, and
- 32:31Speaker 1: then we see that he made a mistake in real life.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Maybe maybe, but the fact is we didn't like we
- 32:36Speaker 1: we got to know him. I liked him. I even
- 32:38Speaker 1: said that when he got dumped, I really wanted to
- 32:40Speaker 1: see more of him. I was upset that I wasn't
- 32:41Speaker 1: going to I can't get over now that I can't
- 32:48Speaker 1: get over that he didn't talk, that he didn't tell
- 32:50Speaker 1: a girl for a year and a half. A year
- 32:52Speaker 1: and a half, well what two girls? Yeah, well, well
- 32:57Speaker 1: that's like up for debate. Like he even admitted that
- 33:01Speaker 1: there were two girls in the picture. I don't know
- 33:03Speaker 1: he was like seriously dating two girls at once. Whatever,
- 33:05Speaker 1: it wasn't addressed. I get not introducing your daughter to
- 33:12Speaker 1: somebody after a year and a half. That's fine. I
- 33:15Speaker 1: understand your reasoning between the divorce and not want to
- 33:17Speaker 1: get your daughter into it. So respectable not bringing up
- 33:21Speaker 1: the fact that you have one that does seem like
- 33:23Speaker 1: you're hiding her. I had a huge aspect of your life,
- 33:26Speaker 1: making it seem as if, well it a little controversial
- 33:31Speaker 1: to say, but almost seeing as if you're purposely trying
- 33:34Speaker 1: to hide an aspect of your life, A big aspect
- 33:38Speaker 1: of your life. I think it was. I think no
- 33:40Speaker 1: matter what, it's an odd decision to date somebody for
- 33:43Speaker 1: a year and a half. It is an odd decision
- 33:45Speaker 1: to know somebody for a year and a half, like
- 33:48Speaker 1: a friend, uh, a coworker, I don't know, like just
- 33:54Speaker 1: somebody in passing for a year and a half that
- 33:56Speaker 1: year having some semi regular conversations with and not for
- 34:00Speaker 1: up the fact that you have a child. I mean,
- 34:03Speaker 1: I talk about my puppy to everybody in anybody now
- 34:07Speaker 1: different than the kid. I feel more strongly about this
- 34:11Speaker 1: now that I'm a parent. I can't go a minute
- 34:14Speaker 1: without being like, I'm sorry, I know you're a stranger.
- 34:16Speaker 1: I just meant, can I show you a picture? Like
- 34:17Speaker 1: I'm that person now? And now I understand why people
- 34:20Speaker 1: do that. It's also, oh god, this is a little
- 34:23Speaker 1: controversial as well. It makes me feel as if maybe
- 34:28Speaker 1: he wasn't as president in his daughter's life as he
- 34:31Speaker 1: was trying to put across earlier in the season. Makes
- 34:34Speaker 1: you bring up questions, right, That's brings up questions. Thank you. Yes,
- 34:37Speaker 1: I'm not accusing. I'm just I'm just questioning. It brings
- 34:40Speaker 1: up questions, and I again to in this statement. I
- 34:43Speaker 1: think your comments at the beginning, if they just would
- 34:45Speaker 1: have had Nate sit there and and talk um and
- 34:50Speaker 1: with that we weren't trying to be persuaded in any way,
- 34:54Speaker 1: then I think my response is a lot better. This
- 34:57Speaker 1: isn't even as much of a criticism on Nate and
- 35:00Speaker 1: what he said and hasn't said, or what he's done
- 35:02Speaker 1: and not done. Honestly, most of the time, I felt
- 35:06Speaker 1: like I was watching an infomercial, like when you see
- 35:09Speaker 1: the people cooking in the nonstick pots and they got
- 35:12Speaker 1: to the audience, they look, how look and they go
- 35:14Speaker 1: look how clean it is, and all the audience shakes
- 35:16Speaker 1: their head and smile like this is the best thing ever.
- 35:20Speaker 1: That's how I felt this was to me, and it
- 35:22Speaker 1: made me just turn off and go, I don't I
- 35:24Speaker 1: know I'm not being persuaded here that no matter what
- 35:27Speaker 1: I'm done, there's nothing that's going to convince me either direction,
- 35:32Speaker 1: because this is so corny to me, especially using the fans,
- 35:36Speaker 1: your action to to everything he was saying, Um, it
- 35:41Speaker 1: was odd. So that's that's what'll close that, and I
- 35:45Speaker 1: will enter this conversation very briefly. This is just another
- 35:50Speaker 1: moment that said to me, Hey, Tyler Cameron, whenever the
- 35:53Speaker 1: heck he wants, give him all the opportunity he wants,
- 35:56Speaker 1: make him the Bachelor, or or you will have another
- 36:00Speaker 1: rating season. Really, this is this, This moment made you
- 36:05Speaker 1: think of Tyler Cameron. Oh, this moment. Moments like there's
- 36:08Speaker 1: always running of Tyler Cameron. He is your savior for
- 36:11Speaker 1: the show. He's the show savior because he is a
- 36:14Speaker 1: celebrity now. He's not only just antes former contestant from
- 36:18Speaker 1: a heyday, from one of the last seasons in which
- 36:21Speaker 1: there was good ratings and there was a lot of
- 36:24Speaker 1: excitement and chatter around it. Not only that, but he
- 36:28Speaker 1: is a celebrity now, so now he's almost like a
- 36:31Speaker 1: stunt casting. It's almost like having um when they had
- 36:36Speaker 1: like of the Prince, or they had um like Charlie
- 36:40Speaker 1: O'Connell's brother and stuff like this, and even like Bob
- 36:43Speaker 1: Ginny to a certain point was almost a celebrity when
- 36:46Speaker 1: he became the Bachelor. Yeah, I get that, Okay, fair enough.
- 36:50Speaker 1: I mean I think, yes, Tyler Cameron is a bachelor
- 36:53Speaker 1: would probably be a good thing for this show. I
- 36:55Speaker 1: cannot disagree with that. Could you come up with one
- 36:57Speaker 1: person in this in the cast of single men from
- 37:02Speaker 1: the franchise right now? Not necessarily this cast, but another,
- 37:05Speaker 1: but another one of recent history that would spark as
- 37:08Speaker 1: many ratings, attention and excitement amongst the fandom. I can
- 37:15Speaker 1: think of a few personally that I would like to see.
- 37:17Speaker 1: I would like I think that Mike Johnson could do it.
- 37:19Speaker 1: I think that Mike Johnson with Peter Krause would be amazing.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Do double, do double, you have to do double. If
- 37:23Speaker 1: you're gonna do two girls, that's awesome pairing. Um, But
- 37:28Speaker 1: I don't. I can't. But I don't think that's like
- 37:30Speaker 1: a huge I don't know. I want Peter Cross will
- 37:33Speaker 1: be an amazing freaking bachelor, But I do think that
- 37:36Speaker 1: people have forgotten him at this point. I think they
- 37:38Speaker 1: lost that opportunity years ago. But who says who lost
- 37:41Speaker 1: to you know, Like, I think there's a lot of
- 37:42Speaker 1: rumors that say that it was Peter that passed up
- 37:45Speaker 1: on the opportunity. I can find good pairings, Okay, I go,
- 37:51Speaker 1: I can find parents, But like Tyler Cameron will bring
- 37:54Speaker 1: it all. Now, now you tell me who else can
- 37:57Speaker 1: bring it all? Ben, I mean, I think that Ruth
- 38:00Speaker 1: Spencer's could probably pull a fairly good audience. I think
- 38:04Speaker 1: if you're looking to revitalize ratings, though, you're probably gonna
- 38:08Speaker 1: have to pull somebody from past seasons just because this
- 38:10Speaker 1: show had more viewership back then. And so I mean,
- 38:14Speaker 1: I don't disagree. I think Peter might be a little
- 38:17Speaker 1: far removed for people to get super pumped up. But
- 38:21Speaker 1: I do think Mike Johnson, I think, um, Michael A
- 38:26Speaker 1: could probably do a pretty good job. Michael Lake could
- 38:29Speaker 1: do a great job. If he doesn't end up with
- 38:32Speaker 1: somebody from Paradise would be a great, great transition in
- 38:36Speaker 1: I think that it may have been their intention with
- 38:39Speaker 1: him on Paradise. Yeah, I mean I think it's hard.
- 38:43Speaker 1: I mean I think you look at Tyler Cameron and
- 38:46Speaker 1: people go, yeah, he is a celebrity, he has made
- 38:48Speaker 1: his way outside is I just don't think there's any shot.
- 38:51Speaker 1: I don't think there's any reason I wouldn't do it
- 38:53Speaker 1: if I was him. I mean, it would just be
- 38:58Speaker 1: a really hard sell. Uh. And then I feel like
- 39:01Speaker 1: the season would almost have too much weight on him,
- 39:06Speaker 1: and it would it that might, in my opinion, be
- 39:09Speaker 1: the death of the show because you have this this
- 39:13Speaker 1: person that you're gonna put up. You're gonna let negotiate
- 39:16Speaker 1: what they want, what they don't want, look how he
- 39:19Speaker 1: wants and not once and then all of a sudden,
- 39:22Speaker 1: the show dramatically changes forever. I don't think you ever
- 39:24Speaker 1: get it back. And so maybe as a finale, maybe
- 39:27Speaker 1: as a final season. I get it, but I don't
- 39:30Speaker 1: see that being a healthy stepping stone for the show. Um,
- 39:34Speaker 1: I just see it going backwards from there quickly again.
- 39:38Speaker 1: And so uh no, I don't I don't see the
- 39:41Speaker 1: show making a decision. I don't see Tyler making that decision.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I'm not saying I see it. I'm saying that that's
- 39:47Speaker 1: what would be, in my opinion, a saving grace. Okay,
- 39:52Speaker 1: so shall we go to headlines. No, not quite yet,
- 39:55Speaker 1: because we do have a few more things actually to
- 39:59Speaker 1: touch on. We do have the cruise giveaway everybody in
- 40:01Speaker 1: the audience because the cruise it's good for five more months.
- 40:05Speaker 1: I heard, Uh wait, they have five months to do it.
- 40:08Speaker 1: It's good till the end of the year. Is the
- 40:09Speaker 1: rumor being spread and it only leaves out of two
- 40:12Speaker 1: ports Miami and somewhere else. Um, but hey, you get
- 40:16Speaker 1: a free cruise like by the plaint advantage. It's pretty
- 40:21Speaker 1: definitely not life changing for Bachelor Nation at all. But
- 40:26Speaker 1: if somebody has a free cruise and then they go
- 40:28Speaker 1: on that cruise and they find their husband, could be
- 40:31Speaker 1: life changing. I would love to see it. Um. Well,
- 40:36Speaker 1: actually that's all we have from mentell all it Uh.
- 40:41Speaker 1: It definitely felt uh like an unnecessary, unnecessary watch from
- 40:48Speaker 1: my opinion. We're not even gonna get into all the ads.
- 40:50Speaker 1: That's why this is so quick, because there was a
- 40:51Speaker 1: lot of sneak peaks and ads and trailers for things
- 40:55Speaker 1: Paradise does look cool. I'll say that I'm excited to
- 40:57Speaker 1: watch Paradise. I am as excited as I ever am
- 40:59Speaker 1: to watch Paradise. I think it's a great show. I
- 41:02Speaker 1: think it's a lot of fun to watch. I think
- 41:03Speaker 1: it doesn't have the issues that this show has right now.
- 41:07Speaker 1: Uh and so as a result, super pump that that's
- 41:11Speaker 1: coming out and that we can start getting excited for that. Actually,
- 41:24Speaker 1: it is time for headlines today. We have a few
- 41:28Speaker 1: to get into. UM. After we scroll through our headlines,
- 41:31Speaker 1: just have a ton of Twitter reactions the last night's episode,
- 41:35Speaker 1: UM Shackling. None of them are great, but the first
- 41:39Speaker 1: one is this Peter Webber likes post about reuniting with
- 41:42Speaker 1: Kelly flannagain, jokes about having impure thoughts about her. WHOA,
- 41:47Speaker 1: this is the we need guys. This brings me alive.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Can did you know about this? And you been following
- 41:55Speaker 1: this story for the past week or so? Yeah? I have.
- 41:58Speaker 1: It is Fastiday. These two have talked so much smack
- 42:04Speaker 1: about each other and now they're just back together. Okay,
- 42:09Speaker 1: so this is the quote proof that we have right now,
- 42:12Speaker 1: besides the photos that we've seen them together, which is
- 42:15Speaker 1: enough proof for me. Um Kelly posted this picture on
- 42:19Speaker 1: Instagram on Sunday. Somebody I just a fan said having
- 42:23Speaker 1: impure thoughts miss houghtie with lots of fire signs, and
- 42:27Speaker 1: then Peter responded underneath it and said same. Uh. Somebody
- 42:33Speaker 1: also commented under the picture happy you guys found your
- 42:37Speaker 1: way back together, and he liked it. Nohow, I love
- 42:42Speaker 1: this story. It's so juicy. It's juicy, but it's kind
- 42:46Speaker 1: of like it's like a you know, like the like
- 42:51Speaker 1: they like each other. They were so mad at each other.
- 42:54Speaker 1: There's so much pain and resentment for whatever reason, we
- 42:57Speaker 1: never really know why. Now they're back together. I wonder
- 42:59Speaker 1: what this conversations were like as they tried to reconcile
- 43:03Speaker 1: and spend more time investing each other. I wonder if
- 43:06Speaker 1: it was always kind of this, I'm into you, I'm
- 43:08Speaker 1: into you, but I don't like you for some reason,
- 43:11Speaker 1: And now they're finding themselves back together. This is why
- 43:16Speaker 1: we need a reality show that documents our lives post show,
- 43:19Speaker 1: because this stuff would be such a good TV. And
- 43:22Speaker 1: what I like about this relationship that I find so
- 43:25Speaker 1: interesting is because I've never had a relationship like this,
- 43:28Speaker 1: and these two people just like they have that thing
- 43:31Speaker 1: where they probably fight all day and it's firing and
- 43:34Speaker 1: see me and there's probably lots of makeup sex and
- 43:38Speaker 1: it's just passionate and they're not always nice to each other,
- 43:43Speaker 1: but it's hot, but it's hot. It sounds like a
- 43:47Speaker 1: movie you just you just made up in your mind
- 43:50Speaker 1: that they are to me, jeez. Next headline is this
- 43:54Speaker 1: Bachelor a favorite? Andrew Spencer gets real about his life
- 43:57Speaker 1: changing time and Paradise. He just said that basically that
- 44:01Speaker 1: the people who have never been down there, it was
- 44:03Speaker 1: a shock. It was a shocking experience, which is what
- 44:07Speaker 1: I've warned people every time they go to Paradise. I'm like, listen.
- 44:10Speaker 1: It is a totally different environment and process and the show.
- 44:15Speaker 1: The show can be so much fun. Paradise can change
- 44:20Speaker 1: your life for the for the better. Of course, look
- 44:22Speaker 1: who's on my lap right now? But it is emotional
- 44:25Speaker 1: boot camp. It never stops. You get to rest on
- 44:28Speaker 1: the main show, but you never stops testing you Paradise
- 44:33Speaker 1: and then just as far as like a fun little quote,
- 44:37Speaker 1: Andrew says that the best thing to bring down there
- 44:41Speaker 1: for anybody who is going to be down there next
- 44:44Speaker 1: is a fan. He said, some people brought three or
- 44:48Speaker 1: four fans, and some people didn't break any. But it's
- 44:51Speaker 1: a very vital part to having a comfortable experience down there.
- 44:56Speaker 1: I can imagine. I'm excited to see him on Paradise
- 45:00Speaker 1: me too. He's the sweetest. Katie Thurston amidst John Hersey
- 45:04Speaker 1: dumped her, her quote is a blessing in disguise. Guys,
- 45:08Speaker 1: we got so much tea from Katie Thurston. On Caitlin's
- 45:12Speaker 1: podcast this week, she says that technically they broke up twice.
- 45:17Speaker 1: The first time no one knew about it. Uh wait,
- 45:20Speaker 1: like a week or two later we kind of worked
- 45:22Speaker 1: through it and decided to get back together, So I
- 45:25Speaker 1: thought we were golden. However, in June she said that
- 45:30Speaker 1: the final split was unavoidable, explaining that she knew um
- 45:37Speaker 1: more reasons why he did not like her than liked her.
- 45:43Speaker 1: That is a really feeling, she said. And she said,
- 45:47Speaker 1: as for the relationship tipping point, Um she was piste
- 45:55Speaker 1: off by John wanting her to take surfing lessons after
- 46:01Speaker 1: she learned how to skydive. She said, I knew nothing
- 46:05Speaker 1: um I did was ever going to be good enough.
- 46:07Speaker 1: So she obviously like she took skydiving lessons for him,
- 46:10Speaker 1: and then he wanted her to take surfing lessons, and
- 46:13Speaker 1: then she said, ultimately it was really a blessing in
- 46:16Speaker 1: disguise because I think I would have stuck it out
- 46:18Speaker 1: longer than I should have. And she says that in
- 46:21Speaker 1: reference to the fact that he broke up with her,
- 46:25Speaker 1: and she said, initially after the breakup, it was the
- 46:27Speaker 1: saddest she's ever been, but now she's in a very
- 46:30Speaker 1: good place after a trip to Mexico and a secret
- 46:33Speaker 1: hook up. So the best way to get over someone
- 46:37Speaker 1: is to get under someone. That's that's a quote, that's act.
- 46:44Speaker 1: Isn't that a lot a lot of that's a T
- 46:48Speaker 1: shirt right there? Um, the you know, the next headline is,
- 46:53Speaker 1: you know Katie went on during this podcast. I guess
- 46:55Speaker 1: you could just listen to Caitlin's podcast because there's a
- 46:57Speaker 1: lot that she talked about when it comes to Nick File,
- 47:00Speaker 1: when it comes to the breakup, when it comes to
- 47:03Speaker 1: kind of the Nick File and Katie Thurston feud. Also,
- 47:06Speaker 1: we have a headline here about Blake Horsemen and Nick
- 47:08Speaker 1: File feud. You can listen and pull all those things
- 47:11Speaker 1: up to read them on your own here. Uh, hello buddy. Um.
- 47:17Speaker 1: But in short, Katie and Nick are still feuding, and
- 47:21Speaker 1: Blake and Nick are still feuding. Uh, they have not reconciled.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Um there their differences. Yes, Blake. Blake was asked about
- 47:31Speaker 1: this on the red carpet at the v m As
- 47:33Speaker 1: and he literally just said he's tried. Uh, it's just
- 47:36Speaker 1: not gonna happen between the two of them. It's like
- 47:38Speaker 1: rather exhausting. I just want to ask you, Ben, as
- 47:40Speaker 1: somebody who's pretty good friends with both of them, what's
- 47:44Speaker 1: it takes only they like each other? I mean I don't.
- 47:48Speaker 1: I don't know, Like I guess like you have think
- 47:50Speaker 1: this big family, you know, we all don't we're not
- 47:53Speaker 1: all going to get along. Yeah, I uh, you know
- 47:59Speaker 1: they're both him at bachelor party. I thought that could
- 48:02Speaker 1: I thought that could be a good a good way
- 48:04Speaker 1: to reconcile. It didn't happen. It doesn't seem like um
- 48:08Speaker 1: friends with both of them. I think they're probably Uh.
- 48:12Speaker 1: I just don't. I think it's one of those things
- 48:13Speaker 1: where you you need to stop talking about the other person,
- 48:16Speaker 1: like Blake need to stop talking about Nick Nickson needs
- 48:18Speaker 1: to stop talking about Blake. They need to move on.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Understand that they're not gonna see Ida and they're not
- 48:22Speaker 1: gonna get along, and there's no healthiness or good things
- 48:25Speaker 1: coming from them feuding publicly because it just ends up
- 48:28Speaker 1: bringing up wounds not only for them but other people
- 48:32Speaker 1: that have been affected because of their feud. Uh. And
- 48:35Speaker 1: I think that's just unnecessary to bring, you know, to
- 48:38Speaker 1: bring these things up, make them headlines. Uh. And then
- 48:42Speaker 1: when these headlines come out, it mentions, um, the reason
- 48:46Speaker 1: why they're feuding in the first place, and it's like this,
- 48:48Speaker 1: this isn't fair to that person. You know, and specific
- 48:51Speaker 1: I'm talking Klinklin gets brought up in these conversations when
- 48:55Speaker 1: it's written about it's like she's moved on. People need
- 48:58Speaker 1: to move on. It's time to move on. Um. When
- 49:00Speaker 1: it comes to Katie and Nick, I don't know as much, right,
- 49:05Speaker 1: I'm not around Katie. Yeah, you don't need to comment
- 49:07Speaker 1: personally on that one because we don't really we all
- 49:10Speaker 1: don't really know Katie personally. But the podcast with Katlan
- 49:13Speaker 1: obviously brings out what Katie feels the details of this,
- 49:18Speaker 1: so um so yeah, that's what I think. Anything to
- 49:21Speaker 1: need to stop that would be my my friend opinion
- 49:23Speaker 1: to the both of them. Uh. Next timeline is this
- 49:26Speaker 1: inside Joe and Serena's a dreamy elevated boho engagement party.
- 49:30Speaker 1: This according to people, Yeah, one year after getting engaged
- 49:33Speaker 1: in Bachelor in Paradise, they finally celebrate the minal milestone
- 49:36Speaker 1: in Toronto, Canada at the one hotel that was initially
- 49:41Speaker 1: like not part of their pre wedding plans to have
- 49:44Speaker 1: a party like this. Serena said, I think my parents
- 49:47Speaker 1: originally brought the idea to us of an engagement party
- 49:51Speaker 1: just because we had an unconventional engagement. We got engaged
- 49:55Speaker 1: and it was secret for a long period of time,
- 49:58Speaker 1: so this was a nice idea to bring some sort
- 50:00Speaker 1: of family and close friends together to celebrate A whole
- 50:03Speaker 1: year later, she says that it all happened so fast
- 50:06Speaker 1: and now they're a year into it, and they realized
- 50:09Speaker 1: that their parents had never met in person, so this
- 50:13Speaker 1: is a good way for their parents to meet and
- 50:14Speaker 1: all their close friends to meet each other's close friends,
- 50:18Speaker 1: and they're happy that I finally happened, um, even if
- 50:21Speaker 1: it was a little bit of a delay. She said
- 50:23Speaker 1: that the elevated Boho vibes she loves it is really
- 50:26Speaker 1: beautiful space, lots of wood and greenery and a nice
- 50:29Speaker 1: bar area. She said that that just that that like style,
- 50:33Speaker 1: elevated Boho kind of encapitulates the couple's style together. Lots
- 50:39Speaker 1: of little twinkly lights and candles and neutral colors. They
- 50:41Speaker 1: wanted something soft and romantic while still looking luxurious and modern. Um.
- 50:46Speaker 1: They're also both huge foodies. We know Joe is. We
- 50:49Speaker 1: just started selling his Sauce Sundays with Joe at Audrey's
- 50:54Speaker 1: and they even had a sausage table. Guys. They had
- 50:59Speaker 1: a sausage stand of a whole bunch of different sausages
- 51:02Speaker 1: with toppings. And Joe is also a huge cookie guy,
- 51:06Speaker 1: so they had a nice little dessert spread there as
- 51:10Speaker 1: well as your coottery board. So I'm obviously just painting
- 51:12Speaker 1: a huge picture of what it looked like they're at
- 51:16Speaker 1: the at the party, So I wonder if their wedding
- 51:18Speaker 1: will look very similar. Happy for them, a beautiful, beautiful
- 51:23Speaker 1: engagement they're having obviously we're just with Joe. That Will
- 51:27Speaker 1: wasn't Sarah's wedding, and he's looking stunning, looking good, being
- 51:31Speaker 1: cool like he always is. Well, hey, that's all we
- 51:34Speaker 1: have for today, uh, Bachelor Nation. We encourage you to
- 51:37Speaker 1: keep listening to this podcast to hear are are what
- 51:43Speaker 1: we attempt to have our most unbiased perspective on this show,
- 51:48Speaker 1: both positive and negative, and quite frankly, I could have
- 51:52Speaker 1: gone without this mentel all. I feel like a lot
- 51:54Speaker 1: of us could. So until next time week, until when
- 51:58Speaker 1: we break down the next episode. I've been Ben, I've
