- 0:31Well, hey there, everyone.
- 0:32It is John C.
- 0:33Morley here, serial entrepreneur.

- 1:00stuff that we're going to be sharing with
- 1:01you guys.
- 1:02This is all about things that you can
- 1:07do to improve the quality of your life.
- 1:11So again, really, really great to have everybody
- 1:14here with me on the Inspirations for Your
- 1:17Life show.
- 1:17By the way, guys, this is the daily
- 1:20motivational show.
- 1:21This is the show that gives you the
- 1:24insights that you need to become a better
- 1:26version of yourself.
- 1:31So, again, if this is your first time
- 1:33joining me, I want to say welcome.
- 1:35I want to say thank you for coming
- 1:38here tonight.
- 1:38Really do appreciate that.
- 1:41I like that you're enjoying the content that
- 1:43I'm providing here.
- 1:44And I hope that this is something that
- 1:48actually improves the quality of your life every
- 1:51single day.
- 1:52I know sometimes people are like, you know,
- 1:54I don't get how to do this.
- 1:55I don't get what I'm supposed to do
- 1:57or why I'm supposed to do something.
- 1:59And I get that, guys.
- 2:01I understand that.
- 2:03And so what I want to tell you
- 2:05is that it all starts with your belief,
- 2:09okay?
- 2:10That's where it starts from.
- 2:11It starts from your belief.
- 2:14And your belief can actually change basically who
- 2:20you are, what you become.
- 2:25And that's the most important thing I want
- 2:28to let you know.
- 2:29It's about that.
- 2:30Because you see, if you understand that your
- 2:34life changes, okay, and with your life changing,
- 2:39there are so many amazing things that actually
- 2:42can happen.
- 2:44But the thing is, you have to realize
- 2:47that it comes down to you, okay?
- 2:52It comes down to you.
- 2:53And if it comes down to you, then
- 2:55there's certain choices that you need to make
- 2:58in your life.
- 3:00I think that's the bottom line.
- 3:03You have to make these choices in your
- 3:04life.
- 3:05And if you make these choices in your
- 3:06life, then life is going to become, let's
- 3:09say, a lot better for you than probably
- 3:11you had ever imagined.
- 3:13But again, this is not something that's going
- 3:15to happen in five minutes.
- 3:17You do need to take the time.
- 3:20You do need to realize that life is
- 3:24here to help you become a better version
- 3:26of yourself.
- 3:27It's not about rushing.
- 3:29A lot of people want to rush through
- 3:31and get everything in five seconds.
- 3:35And that's a big problem for a lot
- 3:38of people.
- 3:40They don't get the fact that we need
- 3:45to be understanding who we are, what we're
- 3:48doing, why we're doing certain things.
- 3:51And I think that could be a big
- 3:53problem for, again, for a lot of people
- 3:55out there.
- 3:56I say this because many people don't understand
- 4:01why things are happening a certain way.
- 4:06And they don't understand the fact that you
- 4:08have so much potential in your life every
- 4:11single day.
- 4:12I mean, quite a bit of potential.
- 4:14Every single day you have potential in your
- 4:17life.
- 4:17And this is what makes you become a
- 4:20better person.
- 4:21So again, I want to take the opportunity
- 4:22to welcome you if this is your very
- 4:23first time joining me here on the Inspirations
- 4:26for Your Life, the ever-popular show.
- 4:28If you are coming back to the show,
- 4:30well, welcome back.
- 4:31It's always great to have people that really
- 4:33enjoy the quality and the content that I
- 4:36produce here.
- 4:37Really do appreciate that.
- 4:38And I know a lot of you out
- 4:39there are saying to me, hey, John, you
- 4:41know, I try these things, but for whatever
- 4:42reason, this doesn't work for me.
- 4:45And we'll go over that.
- 4:47But what I want to say to you
- 4:48is if you've never tuned in before, do
- 4:49check out BelieveMeAchieved.com from Where Am I
- 4:51Amazing?
- 4:52Of course, Inspiring Creations.
- 4:53Which you can do 24 hours a day.
- 4:55You can do that after the show is
- 4:56over by visiting BelieveMeAchieved.com.
- 5:00By the way, if you're thirsty, if you're
- 5:02hungry, I don't want you to be parched
- 5:03or to be hungry.
- 5:05So feel free to go grab something, a
- 5:06snack, and get comfortable and come on back.
- 5:09And we'll continue the show.
- 5:11All right.
- 5:12All right, guys.
- 5:13So a big warm welcome, like I said,
- 5:15you tuned in to another of the ever
- 5:17-popular, powerful episode of the Inspirations for Your
- 5:19Life show.
- 5:21Today's Wednesday, it's December 23rd, it's one day
- 5:25before Christmas Eve, Inspirations for Your Life show.
- 5:28This is a daily motivational show.
- 5:31It helps you think sharper, feel stronger, and
- 5:34carry real-world responsibilities without losing yourself in
- 5:38the process.
- 5:40By the way, this is John C.
- 5:41Morley, serial entrepreneur, engineer, marketing specialist, video producer,
- 5:46podcast host, coach, graduate student, and yes, of
- 5:50course, a passionate lifelong learner.
- 5:52And it's certainly my privilege and pleasure to
- 5:54be with you as someone who knows what
- 5:56it means to have a lot on his
- 5:58plate and still show up with excellence, empathy,
- 6:01and energy every single day.
- 6:04Tonight's master topic, I say for the week
- 6:06in our series, is all about spotting real
- 6:08life signs, series four.
- 6:10And the granular is ordinary people, big responsibilities,
- 6:15you know?
- 6:16And our focus is all about carrying more
- 6:18than people realize.
- 6:21And not breaking.
- 6:23If you're the one everyone leans on, the
- 6:26strong one, the fixer, the planner, the backbone,
- 6:30this episode has been cultivated just for you.
- 6:32Now, some of the strongest people you know
- 6:37are quietly overwhelmed.
- 6:39You can look rock solid and still feel
- 6:42a bit overloaded.
- 6:44Strength doesn't mean load is light.
- 6:47It means you've learned to carry what others
- 6:50never see.
- 6:51And that's a very important thing that a
- 6:52lot of people need to realize.
- 6:53If everyone leans on you, where do you
- 6:57lean?
- 6:58If you're everyone's anchor, you still need somewhere
- 7:03to rest.
- 7:04One honest space to say, I'm tired, can
- 7:09keep you from snapping.
- 7:14You are allowed to be tired of being
- 7:18the strong one.
- 7:19Being tired of holding it all together doesn't
- 7:23make you weak.
- 7:24It proves you're human.
- 7:26And that your strength needs rest, too.
- 7:29Number four, guys, responsibility doesn't have to mean
- 7:33martyrdom, right?
- 7:37You have to be a martyr.
- 7:38Being responsible is healthy.
- 7:39Burning yourself out, well, for everyone else, it's
- 7:42not great.
- 7:43If reliable always equals exhausted, that's a big
- 7:47problem in our lives.
- 7:48Something needs to change.
- 7:50And we need to make the change before
- 7:52we're being told to make that change.
- 7:55Like I said, when the universe is telling
- 7:56us to make the change, it's probably not
- 7:58going to be so pleasant.
- 7:59So if we recognize the change has to
- 8:01be made, then we should make it.
- 8:03People who have it together often cry in
- 8:06the car, too.
- 8:08The most composed people often break down in
- 8:10private.
- 8:11Those tears don't mean failure.
- 8:13They mean this is a lot for me
- 8:15or you.
- 8:17Number six, guys, you don't have to carry
- 8:19every secret alone.
- 8:21Holding everyone's secrets by yourself is heavy.
- 8:24It's OK to offload the weight safely with
- 8:27a pro or a trusted person.
- 8:29So why not do that?
- 8:31Number seven, guys, one boundary that will save
- 8:34you from silent resentment.
- 8:36Resentment starts where you say yes, while your
- 8:40whole body is saying no.
- 8:42A clear no now is kinder than a
- 8:44bitter yes.
- 8:46Number eight, if you do everything, people forget
- 8:51it's optional.
- 8:53When you always step in, people assume you
- 8:57always will.
- 8:58Your extra becomes expected, not appreciated.
- 9:01And that's hard for a lot of people
- 9:03to understand.
- 9:04When you're doing something and you're doing it
- 9:07just once, people are going to expect it
- 9:09every single time.
- 9:10So you got to be careful of what
- 9:12you put yourself into and what you decide
- 9:16to help out with.
- 9:17Number nine, high-functioning burnout looks like you're
- 9:21killing it from the outside.
- 9:24On paper, you're crushing it.
- 9:26Inside, you're drained.
- 9:28You're probably almost mind-numb.
- 9:30That's not success.
- 9:32That's burnout in disguise.
- 9:33So it's important that we recognize that.
- 9:36Number 10, you can be reliable without being
- 9:41available 24-7.
- 9:43Reliability means you keep your word, not that
- 9:47you answer instantly.
- 9:48You're allowed off hours where you're not on
- 9:52call.
- 9:53Number 11, stop calling basic respect help.
- 9:58Being paid fairly and treated decently is not
- 10:01a favor.
- 10:02That's the minimum, not a bonus.
- 10:04And start to realize that.
- 10:07Many people think that if you're getting paid
- 10:10that you're doing them a favor.
- 10:13No, they need to pay you.
- 10:15You need to do the work.
- 10:16That's the minimum.
- 10:18Number 12, if they only call when they
- 10:21need something, that's data, need only.
- 10:24Contact is information, not an accident.
- 10:28Adjust your access accordingly with people.
- 10:30You'll get to know the people in your
- 10:32life who always seem to reach out to
- 10:36you whenever they have a problem.
- 10:37And what I mean by you'll get to
- 10:39know their number, not their phone number, but
- 10:41you'll get to know how they act, what
- 10:43their real truth is about.
- 10:45I have somebody who's on a Facebook group,
- 10:48and this one person seems to change the
- 10:51rules.
- 10:51Every time there's something going on, they change
- 10:53the rules.
- 10:54But when they change the rules, it's like
- 10:57everything can be okay for that person, but
- 10:59then it's not for someone else.
- 11:00So I think that's a big problem.
- 11:03Number 13, your needs are not an inconvenience,
- 11:08even if you've treated them like one.
- 11:12Your needs belong on the calendar, not just
- 11:16in the leftover minutes.
- 11:18You matter as much as everyone you protect.
- 11:22And start realizing that and start loving yourself.
- 11:24Number 14, being dependable doesn't mean never asking
- 11:28for help.
- 11:28And I think that's a mistake a lot
- 11:31of people make.
- 11:32People feel, well, you know, I have to
- 11:34be able to do everything myself.
- 11:35No, you don't.
- 11:36Dependable people still need support.
- 11:40I'm at capacity.
- 11:41Can we share this is a healthy sentence.
- 11:45Number 15, one sentence to practice is, I
- 11:49can't do that, but here's what I can
- 11:52do.
- 11:53This line honors your limits and still offers
- 11:55value.
- 11:56Some might say, gee, we need you to
- 11:58be at practice every day.
- 12:00Well, I can't do that, but I can
- 12:04come twice a week.
- 12:07It keeps you from, well, automatic self-draining.
- 12:11You know, the auto yeses, the auto guilt
- 12:15trip gets placed on you.
- 12:17There's no reason to get the guilt trip.
- 12:20Absolutely not.
- 12:21Your energy, your inner battery is very important.
- 12:26Number 16, you don't have to explain your
- 12:29no more than your yes.
- 12:32Your no doesn't require a TED talk, okay,
- 12:35seriously.
- 12:35I'm not able to do that is enough.
- 12:39Not a complete dissertation of why you can't
- 12:42do that.
- 12:43Most people don't care.
- 12:44The weight you're carrying is real.
- 12:46So is your right to rest.
- 12:49Invisible weight is still weight.
- 12:51Rest isn't a luxury.
- 12:52It's how you keep from breaking down and
- 12:55going to a crisis.
- 12:57Number 18, if your kindness is always at
- 13:00your own expense, it's self erasure.
- 13:03Kindness that constantly costs you yourself isn't kindness
- 13:07anymore.
- 13:08Real generosity includes you in the equation.
- 13:10I think we have to realize that if
- 13:13we don't understand that kindness has to start
- 13:17with us and if we sacrifice our own
- 13:21values, our own core, our own beliefs just
- 13:25to be able to be nice and help
- 13:26someone else, well then we're really not being
- 13:29nice to number one, ourself.
- 13:32Number 19, you are not a walking safety
- 13:36net for everyone else's chaos.
- 13:38I know that we always wanna be the
- 13:40good Samaritan.
- 13:40We wanna help people every day, but we
- 13:42cannot do this all the time.
- 13:44We have to realize, again, we're not safety
- 13:47net all the time.
- 13:48You're not required to catch every fall from
- 13:52everyone, okay?
- 13:53That's just not your job.
- 13:56Sometimes love is letting consequences teach others.
- 14:01And you might say, John, well, that's harsh.
- 14:03Oh, it's not harsh.
- 14:05It's lessons.
- 14:07And I find that when people learn these
- 14:09lessons, they might not be the most pleasant,
- 14:12but I'll tell you something.
- 14:13They're not gonna make those mistakes again in
- 14:17their life.
- 14:17I think that's a real important one to
- 14:20realize.
- 14:21Number 20, guys, a quick test.
- 14:25Would they show up for you the way
- 14:26you show up for them?
- 14:28If you say to yourself, John, well, no,
- 14:34but they got a lot on their mind.
- 14:35No baloney, that doesn't matter.
- 14:39And I've been really cognizant of this the
- 14:42last six months or so, knowing that people,
- 14:45you know, they have this switch they turn
- 14:48on.
- 14:48I call it two-faced.
- 14:50When they're looking for money or they're looking
- 14:52for something you could do for them, it's
- 14:55amazing how friendly and how supportive they wanna
- 14:58be to you.
- 15:00But the minute you need something, it's like
- 15:04they are suddenly busy.
- 15:06They turn a deaf ear.
- 15:09And I'm not trying to call people out.
- 15:10I'm just saying the way it is.
- 15:13And I've gotten tired of people taking my
- 15:17kindness for weakness.
- 15:20So they're insinuating that.
- 15:22So I tell people this, look, my kindness
- 15:24should not be misinterpreted for weakness because it's
- 15:26not.
- 15:29That's important, guys.
- 15:31Look at actions, not promises.
- 15:34If the answer is no to the question
- 15:37of, you know, do they show up the
- 15:38same way for you or do you show
- 15:40up for them, adjust how much of you
- 15:44they get.
- 15:47That's a very important statement because we can
- 15:54become drained at different times.
- 15:58Sometimes we get drained and we don't even
- 16:00know why we're drained.
- 16:02All of a sudden we're like on this,
- 16:04I'll call it this bus, right?
- 16:06Or this merry-go-round.
- 16:07And we cannot get off the merry-go
- 16:09-round.
- 16:09No matter what we do, we cannot get
- 16:11off of it.
- 16:15But all we know is that our energy
- 16:18is dwindling and it can help hurt us
- 16:22if we're getting a cold or getting sick
- 16:24or something like that because we have not
- 16:26cared for our body.
- 16:27Our body needs rest, right?
- 16:31And when we sense the signs that our
- 16:33body is trying to tell us, hey, you
- 16:35gotta slow down, slow down.
- 16:37Someone's all gonna sign for my body, hey,
- 16:39John, you know, you need to sleep this
- 16:40morning.
- 16:41And I sleep that morning, a little longer.
- 16:44So I think those are important things to
- 16:46realize, especially when it's the holiday time, you
- 16:49know, you're going to hustle and bustle like
- 16:50the last week or two before I left
- 16:53for vacation.
- 16:54There was a lot going on, even though
- 16:56there were parties and other charitable things, there
- 16:58was a lot.
- 16:59So now being on vacation, I still do
- 17:01the shows, still do the reels and stuff,
- 17:03but I kind of chill and I take
- 17:05it easy, right?
- 17:07I sleep till 9.30 or 10 o
- 17:09'clock in the morning.
- 17:10That's unheard of for me.
- 17:11Usually I'm up at five or six, right?
- 17:14Number 21, delegating is not a failure, guys.
- 17:18It's how grown adults share the load.
- 17:22If people in your group are reprimanding or
- 17:25scolding you for delegating, well, they're not adult.
- 17:30And they're not willing to take their share
- 17:33fair.
- 17:35Sharing tasks is true leadership.
- 17:37It's not laziness.
- 17:39Systems that depend on one hero are built
- 17:44to crack.
- 17:45I think that's important to understand.
- 17:47Number 22, the strongest flex is saying, I
- 17:51need help out loud.
- 17:54I need help is not weakness, it's courage.
- 17:57It invites teamwork instead of silent drowning.
- 18:02Maybe you're saying, John, but I can't do
- 18:04that.
- 18:04This person's my friend, that person's my friend.
- 18:07Yes, they're your friend, but are you gonna
- 18:09allow that person to drive you to a
- 18:13crisis where you need that energy time, that
- 18:17time for you?
- 18:21Because if you don't take that time for
- 18:23you, you're going to be, well, sorry.
- 18:29And your body is gonna tell you it
- 18:32needs to shut down.
- 18:33But if you don't listen to it, it's
- 18:35gonna shut down anyway.
- 18:36And I can tell you this, guys, it's
- 18:38gonna be a lot more an abrupt shutdown
- 18:39than if you chose to shut it down
- 18:42and rest when it's giving you the signs.
- 18:46You don't need to be a Superman or
- 18:47superhero.
- 18:49Number 23, you don't owe everyone access to
- 18:52your time.
- 18:54You don't.
- 18:55Knowing you doesn't guarantee access to you.
- 19:00And I think that's a problem that a
- 19:02lot of people miss.
- 19:03Your time is limited and so are your
- 19:06resources.
- 19:06You're not a public service 24 hours a
- 19:08day.
- 19:09So don't be a martyr and say that
- 19:12you have to do that.
- 19:13Even if you're in business, that doesn't mean
- 19:15people have access to you 24 hours a
- 19:17day.
- 19:18Number 24, you're allowed to drop roles that
- 19:22were, well, never yours to begin with.
- 19:25And you may have become the fixer because
- 19:31you could, not because you should.
- 19:34I wanna say this.
- 19:36Just because you can do something or you
- 19:38can make something happen doesn't mean you should.
- 19:41You're free, ladies and gentlemen, to step out
- 19:43of roles you never chose in the first
- 19:46place.
- 19:47Maybe you got thrown into something because of
- 19:49an emergency.
- 19:50Okay, fine, the emergency's over.
- 19:52That doesn't mean that you keep doing this
- 19:53forever and ever and ever.
- 19:54Have you ever been somewhere and you held
- 19:55the door for somebody, but then it feels
- 19:57like you're like the 24-7 doorman because
- 20:00everybody keeps going through and you're holding the
- 20:02door and nobody ever volunteers to help you.
- 20:05You got to eventually say, okay, and then
- 20:07you kind of like go in, right?
- 20:08Because people, a lot of people are selfish,
- 20:12just being honest.
- 20:13Number 25, carrying the family group job doesn't
- 20:21make you more lovable.
- 20:23Doing more doesn't make you more worthy.
- 20:26It just makes you more tired.
- 20:31Number 26, guys, you're more than your usefulness.
- 20:36You're not just what you produce or solve.
- 20:39Your value exists even when you're not doing.
- 20:42And I think that's something we are oftentimes
- 20:44hard on ourselves with is that we forget
- 20:47that we are a lot more even when
- 20:51we're not doing anything.
- 20:52Number 27, if you disappeared, hypothetically, who would
- 20:57actually notice you're gone?
- 21:00Not your output, right?
- 21:02Who would miss you?
- 21:03Not just your work.
- 21:05Lean into those relationships first.
- 21:08They're the ones that are gonna be the
- 21:09most supportive of you, and they're gonna be
- 21:11the ones that are gonna be the most
- 21:12helpful to you to make sure your resources
- 21:14stay aligned and that you don't burn out.
- 21:17Number 28, give yourself permission to be average
- 21:22at things that don't matter.
- 21:24I think a lot of times we try
- 21:25to become an expert of everything.
- 21:26I tell people, look, I'm not a plumber.
- 21:27I'm not looking to become a plumber.
- 21:29So realize there's some things that you're not
- 21:32an expert at, and that's what other people
- 21:34are good at doing, right?
- 21:36You don't need to win at everything.
- 21:42Good enough in low-stakes areas protects your
- 21:47energy for what counts.
- 21:49You can be good at the things you
- 21:50wanna be good at, but you don't need
- 21:51to be good at everything.
- 21:52Being human, being heroic 24-7, that's a
- 21:55problem.
- 21:56Constant hero mode, that'll burn you out quicker
- 21:59than, well, melting butter on a hot skillet.
- 22:04Being honest about your limits keeps you healthy.
- 22:09And I think that's something a lot of
- 22:11people don't want to do.
- 22:12They don't wanna say that they're burned out.
- 22:15They don't wanna say they're tired because maybe
- 22:18somebody else might come and say, oh, I
- 22:20could do that.
- 22:20Maybe somebody younger, right?
- 22:22But that doesn't necessarily mean you're good or
- 22:25bad because younger people get burned out, so
- 22:27do older people get burned out.
- 22:29It has to do with a couple of
- 22:31things.
- 22:31It could be the amount of stress.
- 22:32It could be the amount of responsibility you
- 22:35have.
- 22:37And that takes energy away from our inner
- 22:40battery.
- 22:42Let's think of it like this.
- 22:44If you have a, let's say you have
- 22:47a camper, right?
- 22:49And you have a battery in the camper.
- 22:51And you know that when the camper's running,
- 22:56the generator is actually charging the battery.
- 23:01When you pull over and the battery is
- 23:03all fully charged, you know that the more
- 23:05stuff you use, the more it depletes the
- 23:09inner battery of the camper.
- 23:11You also know that that battery with the
- 23:14average usage of people and doing things will
- 23:18probably be able to work for, maybe you'll
- 23:20be able to work for a day, maybe
- 23:22two days, depending on how big your battery
- 23:23is.
- 23:24And then with that, you decide that, okay,
- 23:27we gotta turn the car, we gotta turn
- 23:29the camera back on, or you've gotta plug
- 23:31in the camper to a power outlet, right?
- 23:34Most campers can usually work for, I think
- 23:36it's like four or five hours, and then
- 23:38they gotta be powered up.
- 23:39So these are important things to realize.
- 23:43But sometimes I guess people think they're the
- 23:48energizer or they're the dorsal battery that just
- 23:51never quits, you know, like the Energizer Bunny,
- 23:54right?
- 23:54We all need to take a break.
- 23:56Even that Energizer Bunny needs a break because
- 24:01his batteries eventually will burn out.
- 24:04And it's not like just changing batteries and
- 24:06you're ready to go again.
- 24:08Our body doesn't work like that.
- 24:10Very similar to my hat, right?
- 24:11So my hat is powered by a battery.
- 24:17And so the battery gets charged by USB
- 24:19like a lot of things today.
- 24:20But I can't just quickly plug it in,
- 24:23it's ready to go.
- 24:24It takes a few minutes, right?
- 24:27So I think that's something that's important.
- 24:29And with our body, we don't just get
- 24:31a quick burst, right?
- 24:33We're not just gonna go take, you know,
- 24:36one of these Five Alives or something and
- 24:39get back up.
- 24:39I remember doing that when I went to
- 24:41Italy with my mom's mom and dad and
- 24:45my one cousin that went with me.
- 24:49I remember him giving us one of these
- 24:51jolts, these Five Alive things.
- 24:53And like, I bounced right, like awake, but
- 24:55then like six, seven hours, like, well, let's
- 24:58say five, six hours later, after dinner, I
- 25:00was like, I crashed.
- 25:03And all they cared about was that I
- 25:05was awake and able to be, you know,
- 25:09able to talk to their family and guests.
- 25:11But really that was doing a bad thing
- 25:13for me that was jolting my inner battery.
- 25:16And I said, I will never ever do
- 25:18that ever again.
- 25:22Number 30, guys, imagine what you could do
- 25:26with some of that energy redirected back to
- 25:29you.
- 25:30Even a small percentage of that effort pointed
- 25:33toward your own growth and possibly your recovery.
- 25:39It would change your life.
- 25:42It would change your life.
- 25:45Taking care of you is not stealing from
- 25:47others.
- 25:48I think that's something we have to learn.
- 25:50We shouldn't be feel guilty about it because
- 25:52there's nothing to be guilty about.
- 25:54It's securing the foundation they actually rely upon.
- 26:00So keeping us up and running is very,
- 26:02very important.
- 26:03And knowing that our stability is based on
- 26:09our health, is based on the energy that
- 26:14we have, which comes from our nutrition, right?
- 26:18These are important things that a lot of
- 26:21people miss because they're just looking at the
- 26:25fact that, oh, we can get a quick
- 26:26fix.
- 26:26Like my grandfather, well, we can get a
- 26:27quick fix by having one of these quick,
- 26:29you know, these quick jolt drinks.
- 26:31And it did solve the problem, but I
- 26:33was like really, really at the top of
- 26:35the scope, like even more hyper than I
- 26:40normally would be all because of that extra
- 26:43boost.
- 26:43But then I really crashed once that four
- 26:46-hour, five-hour energy drink wore off.
- 26:48It was just a little tiny thing.
- 26:50We'll never, ever take one of those again.
- 26:52It was a huge amount of caffeine.
- 26:55And I do everything, you know, caffeine-free
- 26:58now, decaf tea.
- 27:01So these are important things to understand, guys.
- 27:02And carrying more than you expect is something
- 27:10we need to understand every day.
- 27:12Carry more than people realize and not breaking.
- 27:15It's okay to put some things down.
- 27:18It's okay to say no.
- 27:21It's okay to tell people I need more
- 27:24time.
- 27:25These are all okay things.
- 27:28But I ask you to do this from
- 27:29the beginning, not when you're so tired and
- 27:32ready to crash.
- 27:34Look at yourself and look at the time
- 27:36and look at how things are managed.
- 27:38And you'll get an idea that maybe you're
- 27:40taking on too much.
- 27:41I know you probably don't wanna hear that.
- 27:43Your body needs rest, just being honest.
