Two Strangers Save Woman from Sinking SUV | Toronto News
An 84-year-old woman from Regina credits two strangers with saving her life after her SUV sank in a Saskatchewan slough—she dozed off, the car filled with water, and she was trapped. Bystander Matt Mario swam to the vehicle, got her to open the sunroof, and handed her dog to him before helping her out. Alex Agari joined Mario, and together they pulled her safely to shore. Marjorie Flavel, unharmed and deeply grateful, called them her “angels and heroes” and plans to thank them with lunch.
