- 3:32Speaker 7: Yeah, God, I knew you would do that.

- 3:54Speaker 1: There's three things you need to know the show.
- 3:58Speaker 2: Achael ice Cream Truck is opening its first storefront in Birmingham.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Drain flavors.
- 4:03Speaker 2: They have ice cream, shaved ice and fresh squeezed lemonade.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Gonna be opening on Second Avenue North. We don't know
- 4:10Speaker 2: the date yet, but I do know some of the
- 4:12Speaker 2: ice cream flavors like strawberry shortcake, Pacompie and blueberry cheesecake.
- 4:15Speaker 1: So get ready.
- 4:17Speaker 2: McDonald's just dropped its biggest burger yet. The Big Archburger
- 4:22Speaker 2: will be here next Tuesday, only for a limited time.
- 4:24Speaker 2: They say it's their biggest and boldest burger. Two quarter
- 4:27Speaker 2: pound beef patties, three slices of cheese, crispy onions, raw onions,
- 4:32Speaker 2: lettuce and.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Pickles, and it comes with big Arch sauce.
- 4:34Speaker 2: It has one thousand and fifty seven calories. To put
- 4:39Speaker 2: that to reference, regular cheeseburger at McDonald's is three hundred
- 4:42Speaker 2: and three calories, So eat at your on risk. You'll
- 4:46Speaker 2: never guess who Lily Allen is dating after her split
- 4:48Speaker 2: from David Harbor, who Sigmund Freud's great great grandson.
- 4:53Speaker 8: Joan of Freud.
- 4:56Speaker 2: So Lily Allen was married to David Harbor, who we
- 4:58Speaker 2: know is Hopper from Stranger Things.
- 5:00Speaker 3: They split a year ago.
- 5:01Speaker 2: She released an album about it, everybody was talking about it,
- 5:04Speaker 2: and then she said she was dating. Back in October,
- 5:07Speaker 2: she's been seen out with this guy, Sigmund.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Freud's great great grandson.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Jonah, out at Paris Fashion Week, everywhere, and she finally
- 5:15Speaker 2: confirmed in an interview recently. They said who was the
- 5:18Speaker 2: last person you texted? And she said, my boyfriend Jonah.
- 5:22Speaker 2: And for reference, Jonah's twenty eight and she just turned forty,
- 5:26Speaker 2: so she's twelve years older than him.
- 5:28Speaker 3: And if you're wondering what Sigmund.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Freud's great great grandson Jonah does for a living, he
- 5:32Speaker 2: is a writer, artist and cultural curator in London.
- 5:36Speaker 4: That makes sense in the family line.
- 5:38Speaker 3: So there they go. That's three things you need to know.
- 5:41Speaker 3: I'm sure we'll get an album about it in a
- 5:43Speaker 3: few years more. At the Alabama Show dot Com, you were.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Listening to the Alabama Show on dement Brian.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Good morning, what's going on? What's your issue for? Ask Alabama?
- 5:55Speaker 9: So I have a best friend of like I don't know,
- 5:58Speaker 9: maybe like fifteen years thing and the thing is he
- 6:01Speaker 9: started dating this girl who was in our friends group.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I used to date her.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I'm cool with her dating whoever.
- 6:08Speaker 9: The thing is, as soon as they started dating, now
- 6:10Speaker 9: nobody sees them. They just do this whole completely disappeared
- 6:14Speaker 9: from our lives kind of thing.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Because you've seen her like it before and it probably
- 6:17Speaker 2: where'd your friend out?
- 6:19Speaker 3: I think that's kind of it.
- 6:20Speaker 9: But why is he so insecure?
- 6:21Speaker 8: And why is he like?
- 6:22Speaker 9: Why is he like I was a bigger man? Why
- 6:25Speaker 9: can't he do that? It just feels weird for everybody involved.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Explain bigger man. I'm just I'm.
- 6:30Speaker 9: Secure with that we didn't work out, so like she
- 6:34Speaker 9: can date what she wants, you know what I mean?
- 6:36Speaker 2: How long?
- 6:36Speaker 3: It seems like? How long have you been broken up
- 6:39Speaker 3: from the girl?
- 6:39Speaker 1: Maybe four years?
- 6:41Speaker 3: She dated somebody else before she dated him. Okay, how
- 6:44Speaker 3: close were you with the guy? Like we've been we've
- 6:46Speaker 3: been for best friends for like or fift year, So
- 6:49Speaker 3: he's your best friend?
- 6:51Speaker 10: Is that not a slap in your face that you're
- 6:53Speaker 10: best friends dating your aches.
- 6:56Speaker 9: We didn't work out, We didn't work out, but now
- 6:59Speaker 9: he does it and it's just a complete one.
- 7:01Speaker 11: Eighty because you I think there's a name for that.
- 7:04Speaker 11: It's called judas. I just got stabbed in the bag.
- 7:12Speaker 1: It feels weird.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like we're not even friends anymore. Now I'll
- 7:17Speaker 3: plug your type of weird.
- 7:18Speaker 2: Okay, put me on speakerphone and just I'm gonna help
- 7:21Speaker 2: you draft a text right now. And it needs to
- 7:23Speaker 2: be a group text, both of them, and it needs
- 7:26Speaker 2: to be you both did me dirty? Actually, no, leave
- 7:29Speaker 2: her out of it because she doesn't care.
- 7:31Speaker 3: She doesn't have anything invested of it. Fifteen years.
- 7:34Speaker 10: Like, even if it didn't work out, I would still
- 7:37Speaker 10: be upset. My best friend dated one of my exes
- 7:41Speaker 10: after we broke up, and she didn't tell me for
- 7:43Speaker 10: six months because she knew it was wrong.
- 7:46Speaker 3: It's the friendship that you shouldn't do it.
- 7:49Speaker 9: Yeah, I feel weird about it, but yeah, now it's
- 7:52Speaker 9: kind of skills messy.
- 7:53Speaker 4: They were broke up for four years, so what does
- 7:55Speaker 4: it matter?
- 7:56Speaker 2: Call the show if you've ever had a friend date
- 7:58Speaker 2: one of your exes before eight three three five oh one, Bama,
- 8:02Speaker 2: Has this ever happened to anybody else? That's eight three
- 8:04Speaker 2: three five oh one two two six two.
- 8:07Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show.
- 8:09Speaker 2: To Man eight three three five O one Bama is
- 8:12Speaker 2: the number to call the show.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Good morning, Andrew.
- 8:15Speaker 8: My best friend dated one of my exes and he's
- 8:17Speaker 8: still my best friend.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Okay, so you didn't care.
- 8:20Speaker 6: No, Actually, she she was hot and she was just
- 8:24Speaker 6: a little crazy.
- 8:25Speaker 8: And I told him that and he was like, oh,
- 8:28Speaker 8: you mind if I take her out on a date.
- 8:30Speaker 3: You know, she seems really nice.
- 8:31Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 8:32Speaker 12: And he's like, okay, you know what.
- 8:34Speaker 3: He chicks her on a date.
- 8:35Speaker 5: He calls me about thirty minutes after five maybe.
- 8:39Speaker 6: And he's like, hey, uh, that chick is absolutely out
- 8:43Speaker 6: of this world.
- 8:44Speaker 3: But she is a nut job. And I was like, oh, yeah,
- 8:47Speaker 3: I told you.
- 8:47Speaker 9: He's like yeah, He's.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Like I just left her at the restaurant.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Oh my god. That I was like, my Maya, it's
- 8:55Speaker 3: getting crazier and crazier.
- 8:58Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 8:58Speaker 3: So we met up at Drake so like, oh, you
- 9:00Speaker 3: know how to work?
- 9:01Speaker 4: He's like, I don't know.
- 9:02Speaker 1: I hope you pay the tail.
- 9:03Speaker 3: Okay, thanks for the story.
- 9:06Speaker 8: Buddy, I'm just being honest, dude, you gotta do.
- 9:10Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show. The following program
- 9:14Speaker 1: is one demand eight.
- 9:15Speaker 3: Three thirty five.
- 9:16Speaker 2: I Onembama is the number to call the show, Chris,
- 9:19Speaker 2: good morning. What do you think about Brian being upset
- 9:21Speaker 2: that his best friend started dating his ex and now
- 9:24Speaker 2: they've disappeared from.
- 9:26Speaker 8: From his perspective, as strange as it sounds, his problem
- 9:30Speaker 8: is that his friend's gone right, So the only thing
- 9:33Speaker 8: he can do is just let the friend know that
- 9:36Speaker 8: he's okay with the relationship, that he's okay with with
- 9:39Speaker 8: the guy dating his X, and hopefully they'll start coming
- 9:43Speaker 8: around because maybe he's embarrassed the friend yeah, dating the
- 9:46Speaker 8: X and he's afraid that being around will make it awkward.
- 9:49Speaker 3: I still want to be buddies.
- 9:50Speaker 8: Yeah, I missed my friend. We're still good. You guys
- 9:53Speaker 8: can come around. It's okay. Now, he may just be
- 9:56Speaker 8: out of luck, because this happens a lot in new relationships,
- 9:59Speaker 8: Right You get with some of your all into them
- 10:00Speaker 8: and the rest of the world goes away, right Yeah,
- 10:03Speaker 8: whether the other person needed your friend or not. Like
- 10:06Speaker 8: that's a normal thing. So that might be what it is.
- 10:08Speaker 8: But in this circumstance, the best he can do is
- 10:11Speaker 8: just let them know. Hey, so I'm okay with it all.
- 10:13Speaker 8: I'm not okay with losing my friend, though, that's the problem.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know with the Elemma Show.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Birmingham International Airport is adding a new airline beginning the
- 10:23Speaker 2: fourth of July weekend, Breeze Airways. We'll add two NonStop
- 10:28Speaker 2: flights going to Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Raleigh, North Carolina.
- 10:32Speaker 2: So if you fly to those destinations a lot at night,
- 10:34Speaker 2: you can fly straight to them and not have to
- 10:36Speaker 2: go lay.
- 10:36Speaker 3: Over in Atlanta, which is that's a pain.
- 10:40Speaker 2: Savannah Guthrie increased the reward for her missing mother to
- 10:43Speaker 2: one million dollars. The Today Show anchor Savannah posted on
- 10:47Speaker 2: social media yesterday that she's raising the reward. She said
- 10:51Speaker 2: she also understands that her mother may no longer be alive.
- 10:55Speaker 2: It has now been twenty five days since Nancy Guthrie
- 10:58Speaker 2: has gone missing from her home in Arizona.
- 11:01Speaker 3: She is eighty four years old. There are no more
- 11:04Speaker 3: updates on the case.
- 11:05Speaker 2: This is just a very sad and scary story, and
- 11:08Speaker 2: we are keeping Savannah and Nancy and the entire Guthrie
- 11:12Speaker 2: family in our hearts thinking about them. You should be
- 11:18Speaker 2: replacing your underwear every six months, Producer Blake. It feels
- 11:24Speaker 2: so wrong going into this story after Nancy go Thrie.
- 11:27Speaker 2: This has gone viral after The Guardian did a story
- 11:31Speaker 2: on it. Apparently, washing your underwear does not always remove
- 11:34Speaker 2: the bacteria and it can build up. Doctors generally recommend
- 11:38Speaker 2: replacing it every six to nine months, or after a
- 11:41Speaker 2: maximum of fifty washes.
- 11:44Speaker 3: How old you're underwear, buddy, the.
- 11:46Speaker 4: Ones are going, I don't know, probably a couple months.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Several years. Everybody today, here's your homework.
- 11:52Speaker 2: If you're listening to the show, I want you to
- 11:55Speaker 2: go home, go through your underwear drawer. If it's over
- 12:01Speaker 2: six months old, if there are stains.
- 12:04Speaker 3: In it, throw it away, throw it away.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Don't donate it, just toss it, bury it in the backyard.
- 12:13Speaker 4: And that's everything you need to know.
- 12:15Speaker 3: More at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 12:17Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 12:20Speaker 3: Today are What's awesome?
- 12:22Speaker 2: Is a five year old boy who found a discrepancy
- 12:27Speaker 2: in a Southwest Airlines training manual. Okay, and it earned
- 12:34Speaker 2: him a tour of the Southwest Airlines headquarters in Dallas.
- 12:39Speaker 4: What was the discrepancy?
- 12:41Speaker 2: I don't know, but Southwest flew him and his family
- 12:44Speaker 2: to the headquarters in Dallas. Gave him the VIP treatment.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Listen to the kid and his mom talk about it.
- 12:50Speaker 12: He's very mechanically inclined, and so I suppose it was
- 12:54Speaker 12: a natural progression to want to know about more fascinating things.
- 12:58Speaker 12: And sat with him for two hours, going over the
- 13:01Speaker 12: charts and just talking shop with him. I discovered that
- 13:06Speaker 12: two train monitors did not match.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Right is the closer up?
- 13:12Speaker 3: And that's further.
- 13:14Speaker 12: She said, can I pass these hour to my manager?
- 13:16Speaker 12: And I said sure, that's fine. So we went down
- 13:19Speaker 12: to headquarters. It was amazing. Everyone there was very very well.
- 13:22Speaker 2: That was the answer to your question. He discovered that
- 13:25Speaker 2: two monitors did not match. He sounded like a little Einstein.
- 13:31Speaker 3: He's so cute. Anyway. William Hines is the kid's name.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Look out for him. He's going to be a genius
- 13:37Speaker 2: in like ten years.
- 13:39Speaker 8: He is.
- 13:40Speaker 3: What's awesome?
- 13:41Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 13:44Speaker 2: If you've ever been in a talent show where your
- 13:46Speaker 2: kids have called the show and tell us what their
- 13:48Speaker 2: talents were eight three three five I one Bama, because,
- 13:52Speaker 2: oh my gosh, there were some talented kids last night
- 13:54Speaker 2: at the talent show.
- 13:55Speaker 6: Some of those kids were better than I expected, you know,
- 13:59Speaker 6: the girl that was rolling the baton, you got a
- 14:02Speaker 6: tap dancer.
- 14:03Speaker 3: The tap dancer.
- 14:04Speaker 2: There was one kid that was my absolute favorite, and
- 14:07Speaker 2: he did a cover. It was the sound of Starbucks
- 14:09Speaker 2: to the Sound of Silence.
- 14:12Speaker 4: It was so funny.
- 14:13Speaker 3: The whole room was rolling, parents were laughing.
- 14:16Speaker 4: And just when you think it ended, he kept going Saday.
- 14:21Speaker 4: It was so funny.
- 14:22Speaker 2: And then welcome to the stage was our good old friend,
- 14:26Speaker 2: Producer Blake as our wonderful friend John's backup dancer to
- 14:31Speaker 2: It's Gonna be Me and Producer Blake dressed like Michael Jackson.
- 14:35Speaker 6: I did, and I'm gonna give you a little insight
- 14:38Speaker 6: of what happened.
- 14:40Speaker 4: So I forgot to stretch before yesterday.
- 14:44Speaker 6: I didn't realize that, you know, when I came out
- 14:47Speaker 6: and I did that like Michael Jackson kicked to the side. Yeah,
- 14:50Speaker 6: I think I pulled something in my leg, and then
- 14:56Speaker 6: later on I did it to give him my other
- 14:57Speaker 6: leg because that would hurt, right, Yeah, I think I
- 15:00Speaker 6: pulled something that one.
- 15:01Speaker 4: And so all morning I've been like trying.
- 15:04Speaker 6: To like it keeps hurting, and you go, why are
- 15:06Speaker 6: you touching your pants? That's why, because you pulled the musk.
- 15:09Speaker 2: He pulled muscles, yeah, I think the backup dancer, yes,
- 15:13Speaker 2: because I.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Went too hard for Child's Stone show.
- 15:16Speaker 2: The greatest part was Producer Blake had to go sit
- 15:19Speaker 2: with the kids to wait to start the show. And
- 15:23Speaker 2: I'm sitting with John's mother and Producer Blake sends me
- 15:26Speaker 2: a text since like ten minutes.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Before the show starts, and Producer Blake because they're making
- 15:30Speaker 3: us play Quiet Mouse in care. Literally I lost it.
- 15:34Speaker 6: I didn't know this was an actual games kids played.
- 15:37Speaker 6: We're sitting in there and she goes, all right, remember everyone.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Be what It's not a game kid's play. It's a
- 15:42Speaker 3: game parents play to make their kids shut up.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I know.
- 15:44Speaker 4: And so this little girl comes.
- 15:46Speaker 6: Up to me and goes, I picked you.
- 15:52Speaker 2: And then at the end, the teachers were like, all
- 15:55Speaker 2: the performers please come to the stage, and they gave
- 15:58Speaker 2: everybody a metal and Producer Blake had to stand in
- 16:00Speaker 2: the group photo and you were shaking your head, turning
- 16:04Speaker 2: so red the parent look. I will say this, I
- 16:06Speaker 2: am so proud of you for doing that. I know
- 16:09Speaker 2: you were mad at me for signing you up to
- 16:11Speaker 2: do this, but last night I was so proud of
- 16:14Speaker 2: you because the kids loved it and the parents loved it.
- 16:17Speaker 2: And after the talent show, all these parents kept coming
