- 0:00Speaker 1: Now that's the Witty Show.
- 0:02Speaker 2: And we're into another new hour in sensitivity training for
- 0:06Speaker 2: a politically correct world. It is a Thursday morning, a
- 0:10Speaker 2: pre Friday. Oh yes, it's October the sixteenth, twenty twenty five.
- 0:14Speaker 1: On Woody. That's Greg Gory Menace. Good morning to you.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Good morning Woody.
- 0:19Speaker 2: There's Gina Grass. We got Sea Bass Morgan is here.
- 0:23Speaker 2: Phones are open eight seven seven forty four. Woodie sent
- 0:26Speaker 2: us your text over to two to nine eight seven.
- 0:28Speaker 2: How is Something's Burning? Menace went, who had told me
- 0:31Speaker 2: a Bert Kreischers Something Burning podcast that was on his
- 0:35Speaker 2: birthday month wish list and made it happen. Finally got
- 0:37Speaker 2: a heart of Bert.
- 0:38Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 0:39Speaker 1: How is Burt?
- 0:40Speaker 3: Bert is great? Yeah, dude Vert Bert Joekoy and our
- 0:45Speaker 3: friend Gibroeglesias, they all have it figured out. They have
- 0:48Speaker 3: their own compounds, they have their own teams, and they
- 0:52Speaker 3: all they do is like produce like fun content. It's
- 0:55Speaker 3: all about just having fun.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 0:56Speaker 3: He just has his he has his compound with his
- 0:59Speaker 3: uh you know, his kitchen set up where it's like
- 1:02Speaker 3: a TV studio and he just advice his friends over
- 1:05Speaker 3: and he cooked meals for them and he makes a
- 1:07Speaker 3: podcast out of it.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he just took a house that he
- 1:10Speaker 2: used to live in and then he just made that
- 1:12Speaker 2: into like that's the offices of there of you know,
- 1:14Speaker 2: the whole Burt Kreischer, you know, warranchise, and then use
- 1:18Speaker 2: the kitchen for this something's burning thing.
- 1:20Speaker 3: And yeah, yeah, pretty cool. I mean it's so much fun.
- 1:24Speaker 3: He's having a blast there. It's really really cool.
- 1:27Speaker 4: That was food.
- 1:27Speaker 3: The food really really good.
- 1:29Speaker 2: He made some stir fry for everybody, and uh yeah,
- 1:32Speaker 2: I just I mean you told him, we said hello, yeah.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, for sure, and he said you sent him
- 1:37Speaker 1: our best.
- 1:37Speaker 3: Oh dude, as regards he is so stoked for this
- 1:40Speaker 3: Dubai trip that we're doing. Oh yeah, he would not
- 1:43Speaker 3: stop talking about. He told his whole team.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Wait, wait, yeah, let me get straight. So wait, so you're.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Going everybody in the hall of the home. He kept
- 1:53Speaker 3: on stopping him. He's like, do you know what he's doing.
- 1:55Speaker 3: They're going to Dubai for the weekend.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Oh yeah.
- 1:58Speaker 2: He's like, I'm going to give you a bunch of money.
- 2:00Speaker 2: I need you to buy me some stuff. You want
- 2:02Speaker 2: to hear an update on that. So we've moved on
- 2:04Speaker 2: now from the risk management team to the company has
- 2:09Speaker 2: now sent us off to the trademark and infringement team.
- 2:14Speaker 3: Does that happen like, because that part made no sense
- 2:17Speaker 3: to me, because because we give away stuff all the time.
- 2:23Speaker 2: So now of course they look into the well I'm
- 2:26Speaker 2: not sure we can mention the name Emirates. I'm like, well,
- 2:30Speaker 2: too late. We've been talking about it for two goddamn months.
- 2:33Speaker 2: And yeah, and they said, well, you know, h X
- 2:37Speaker 2: y Z blah blah blah blah blah. No no capturing
- 2:41Speaker 2: video or anything on the plane. And I go the
- 2:47Speaker 2: planet once you go on YouTube and just type in
- 2:51Speaker 2: Emirates first Class and check out all the influencers and
- 2:54Speaker 2: all the different people who.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Are doing that same thing.
- 2:57Speaker 2: And they said, well, and if you okay, fine, if
- 3:00Speaker 2: you're gonna do that, well then even if it's a cocktail,
- 3:03Speaker 2: napkin or anything with the Emirates name or logo, it
- 3:05Speaker 2: has to be blurred out.
- 3:07Speaker 5: Why why what was their reasoning?
- 3:10Speaker 2: Because trademark and I go, I tell you what, We're
- 3:12Speaker 2: spending twenty five thousand dollars per per ticket.
- 3:16Speaker 1: We're not even asking them for anything.
- 3:19Speaker 2: It costs them nothing. We're paying them to market them,
- 3:22Speaker 2: and we're not. This is not to market them. This
- 3:23Speaker 2: is just because Menace wants to do this. I'm dying
- 3:27Speaker 2: to see this plane. I've seen a lot of So
- 3:29Speaker 2: that's the whole thing. We're paying seventy five thousand dollars
- 3:32Speaker 2: once we get the listener ticket purchased and everything to
- 3:35Speaker 2: go do this thing. Something tells me, and we're not.
- 3:38Speaker 2: We're not going to bag on them, right. I could
- 3:40Speaker 2: see maybe the company would be like, oh, well, not
- 3:43Speaker 2: our company, but Emirates would be like, wow, they's got
- 3:45Speaker 2: Why would we spend that kind of money just to
- 3:47Speaker 2: rip on them or you know, rip on something you know,
- 3:50Speaker 2: or to attack their brand. So there, it's nothing but
- 3:54Speaker 2: good stuff for Emirates, right, Why would they care? So
- 3:58Speaker 2: I'm thinking like, maybe we just blow a call in
- 3:59Speaker 2: them and go, look, our company is being douchebags again.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Here's what we want to do. And they said, anybody, oh,
- 4:06Speaker 2: this is the this is hilarious. They want us to
- 4:09Speaker 2: travel with a binder full of documents and release forms
- 4:15Speaker 2: that anybody who would even be in the shot. Can
- 4:19Speaker 2: you imagine it's going up to other passengers on the
- 4:21Speaker 2: plane going excuse me, no, I know you spend I'm
- 4:25Speaker 2: not doing that.
- 4:26Speaker 6: You know what, you should just wear a shirt that
- 4:28Speaker 6: says anybody in my vicinity may be recorded.
- 4:30Speaker 3: That's why I say Bert, Joel and Gabriel are living
- 4:34Speaker 3: the dream because they don't deal with any of this stuff.
- 4:37Speaker 1: Dude, it's it's it's it's they just.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Make good fun content like radio I swear is where
- 4:44Speaker 2: at this point, this is where ideas go to die.
- 4:47Speaker 5: If your Emirates Airlines, this is your wet dream.
- 4:50Speaker 7: Yeah oh yeah, but imagine getting on that plane and
- 4:53Speaker 7: not taking any videos, no pictures.
- 4:55Speaker 6: So we doesn't make any sense. Why do these departments exist?
- 5:00Speaker 6: Like and who are you going to be pushed through?
- 5:02Speaker 2: There's certainly risks in using any company names and brands
- 5:04Speaker 2: as part of a contest when they are not actually
- 5:07Speaker 2: a partner in the contest. A contest, by nature, is
- 5:09Speaker 2: strictly a commercial endeavor. In the past, I know we
- 5:12Speaker 2: have identified prizes in a contest, so we can similarly
- 5:15Speaker 2: do that as well within the rules of the contest.
- 5:17Speaker 2: That said, any uses outside of that list start to
- 5:21Speaker 2: run a risk. We generally suggest that we not use
- 5:23Speaker 2: the Emirates name in the title or any of header
- 5:26Speaker 2: or marketing materials. I'm certainly not an individual. Uh, I
- 5:30Speaker 2: am not certain an individual can record on an airplane
- 5:32Speaker 2: to begin with.
- 5:40Speaker 3: Here's the thing I'll be I'll be one hundred percent fair, Okay.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I cannot use any individual's likeness without a release, and
- 5:45Speaker 2: we cannot use any third party branding without a license.
- 5:48Speaker 2: So if there is Emirates branding on a napkin, that
- 5:51Speaker 2: would need to be blurred out, other people captured the
- 5:54Speaker 2: background would need to be blurred and sign a release.
- 5:57Speaker 3: This isn't TV, Okay, So I'll be fair when we
- 6:02Speaker 3: do the actual contest.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Maybe yeah, we'll just say we're giving you a first
- 6:05Speaker 2: class trip to know we could do the contest. Yeah yeah, yeah,
- 6:08Speaker 2: that's fine, and not mention the brand. But everything else
- 6:11Speaker 2: is absolutely ridiculous. It's all ridiculous. Yeah, so stupid.
- 6:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:16Speaker 2: And I think it's as simple as reaching out to
- 6:18Speaker 2: the Emirates or if anybody knows anybody that works like
- 6:21Speaker 2: it has got a position that can get us in
- 6:22Speaker 2: touch with somebody you know, or at least point us
- 6:25Speaker 2: in the right direction. I think it's as easy as
- 6:28Speaker 2: a simple phone call.
- 6:29Speaker 7: Because what you need for them to say is like, yep.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Sounds sounds great. Thank you.
- 6:35Speaker 2: We're giving you. We're making seventy five thousand dollars for.
- 6:39Speaker 5: You to mention us a thousand times.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yea on social and on nationally syndicated radio program How
- 6:46Speaker 2: awesome it is?
- 6:48Speaker 7: What the first person you get on the phone, like,
- 6:50Speaker 7: if you call customer service right now, maybe they'll.
- 6:52Speaker 4: Tell you, yes, it's just such a no brainer.
- 6:55Speaker 5: Yes, okay.
- 6:56Speaker 2: The only thing that they might ask for, because you know,
- 6:58Speaker 2: deally we've you know, dealt with a lot of brands.
- 7:00Speaker 3: They might want to see the video before he posted.
- 7:03Speaker 1: That would be whatever. Yeah, lemon squeeze, Yeah, here you go. Yeah,
- 7:08Speaker 1: I swear what I'm gonna do.
- 7:09Speaker 2: You know how Now on the iOS, you can you
- 7:13Speaker 2: can set up like in different tones for like people
- 7:16Speaker 2: call in, Like you can have your individual ringtone there.
- 7:18Speaker 2: You can set individual things for like when emails come
- 7:20Speaker 2: in or whatever. I think from now on, whenever it
- 7:22Speaker 2: comes from that side of this company, this is the
- 7:26Speaker 2: sound it's gonna make.
- 7:28Speaker 1: This is how it's gonna sound. Oh, retard alert, pratard alert, yep.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Every time I get an email from that the risk management.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Department or the trademarket infringement department retard alert.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Yeah, thank you, mister Garrison.
- 7:43Speaker 5: Do you know what you're saying. You hear what you're saying.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Man, It's not like this is in any way, shape
- 7:51Speaker 2: or form used. We're not profiting costing us money. We're
- 7:55Speaker 2: just trying to do something cool and fun and do
- 7:57Speaker 2: something with the listeners.
- 7:59Speaker 6: You have to get them to promise once we deal
- 8:00Speaker 6: with this, no more departments. We're not being sent to
- 8:03Speaker 6: any more departments.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Well yeah, and I feel bad for our own marketing
- 8:06Speaker 2: and promotions people here internally because they're the ones dealing
- 8:10Speaker 2: with all the headache of it. They have to deal
- 8:12Speaker 2: with all these corporate you know, douche lords.
- 8:15Speaker 3: It's not the first time we've given Way flights, right yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 8:21Speaker 3: that's just a big deal.
- 8:22Speaker 2: But back to MENACE's original point, this is what I've
- 8:25Speaker 2: said about those guys, and I tell them, I said,
- 8:27Speaker 2: Joe and Bert when we're having these conversations that, dude,
- 8:30Speaker 2: you all you have to do. The only thing you
- 8:33Speaker 2: need to be concerned with are your fans, and if
- 8:36Speaker 2: the fans are happy, that's it. There's no corporate overlord,
- 8:42Speaker 2: no advertisers you got to worry about. As long as
- 8:45Speaker 2: fans still enjoy you and what you do and come
- 8:49Speaker 2: out to your shows, download your podcast.
- 8:52Speaker 1: You're golden.
- 8:53Speaker 4: Yeah, what's the problem you.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Have to answer to nobody else? That's amazing.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Dream If I if I could like somehow carve out
- 9:03Speaker 2: amputate all the nonsense that I have to you know,
- 9:06Speaker 2: the calls and the emails and stuff. It takes up
- 9:09Speaker 2: a good chunk of my day a lot of the time,
- 9:11Speaker 2: garbage on stupid easy stuff that nobody else seems to
- 9:15Speaker 2: have to deal with or and it was it was
- 9:18Speaker 2: pretty funny when I was talking to one of the
- 9:20Speaker 2: main mucky to monks here at this com In fact,
- 9:23Speaker 2: I'll say I was talking at the CEO of the company.
- 9:25Speaker 4: Is that all?
- 9:26Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 9:26Speaker 2: And uh, well, but who cares? What is somebody going
- 9:29Speaker 2: to fire him? He said, you know a lot of
- 9:32Speaker 2: the times it's you get the he goes these low
- 9:35Speaker 2: level loser lawyers, he goes, so they get the easy
- 9:38Speaker 2: stuff that their whole job is just to say no
- 9:40Speaker 2: basically because they don't want to do the work. And
- 9:42Speaker 2: when he goes, this is this is this is a
- 9:44Speaker 2: show business. He was getting work, thank you. And that's
- 9:47Speaker 2: how we got this promotion. The first was from that
- 9:49Speaker 2: conversation with him. He goes, Dude, we're in show business.
- 9:52Speaker 2: We're supposed to be doing big ideas and big fun things.
- 9:54Speaker 2: And like right, he goes, We're not supposed to be
- 9:57Speaker 2: stifling you know, ideas and creativity, and like he gets it.
- 10:00Speaker 1: It's everybody who's.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Below him, who somehow who somehow you know, it might
- 10:06Speaker 2: becomes a permis stick, a place of paranoia.
- 10:09Speaker 5: Yeah, you know, no risks.
- 10:10Speaker 1: They don't have to fall on that exactly.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Yes's why, like early in my career I figured out, oh,
- 10:16Speaker 3: I'm never dealing with minimum middle management ever. Yeah, I've
- 10:19Speaker 3: had like I've butted heads with a lot of those people.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Dontore I just don't care. Yeah, this goes straight to
- 10:24Speaker 3: the top. If I need an answer, if that person
- 10:26Speaker 3: at the top says no, then fine.
- 10:27Speaker 1: I heard this. I heard this.
- 10:29Speaker 2: It was advice given to me many years ago. Don't
- 10:31Speaker 2: ever go to somebody who can't give you the yes. Yeah, like,
- 10:34Speaker 2: if that person has to go to somebody else to
- 10:36Speaker 2: get the yes, go to whoever that person is smart.
- 10:39Speaker 3: And then people around you say, oh, don't do that.
- 10:41Speaker 3: You gotta go through the hierarchy.
- 10:42Speaker 2: No, because you're going to piss off the person who
- 10:44Speaker 2: is just gonna have to go to somebody else.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 10:46Speaker 2: They're just trying to justify their job. That's the whole
- 10:48Speaker 2: Look busy, quick, hurry up, look busy.
- 10:51Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Yeah, man, it's the walk to the dizey makes so
- 10:54Speaker 1: much sense. Yeah that we just had to do that.
- 10:57Speaker 1: We just did it. Yeah. We didn't run it by anybody.
- 10:59Speaker 1: We just did it it.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:01Speaker 4: But can you call it like Fizzney like, no, we
- 11:03Speaker 4: didn't have to do that.
- 11:04Speaker 2: I remember, remember the stupid Nintendo switch.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, it's so stupid.
- 11:13Speaker 2: It's so dumb. All right, we're gonna take a break
- 11:15Speaker 2: and then we'll come back. Have you ever lost something
- 11:19Speaker 2: and gotten it back?
- 11:20Speaker 1: I see these.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Things all the time, you know, people post things up,
- 11:24Speaker 2: you know, at the store, or there's something up in
- 11:26Speaker 2: the neighborhood that somebody dropped a wallet or something.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I'm like, good luck.
- 11:30Speaker 5: Hear about like an old class ring fifty years later. Yeah,
- 11:33Speaker 5: but something happened to me recently. I was kind of
- 11:35Speaker 5: surprised at the outcome.
- 11:37Speaker 2: I was like, uh, oh, I'm probably in trouble here,
- 11:41Speaker 2: but actually worked out, and I was you know, so
- 11:44Speaker 2: I was pleasantly surprised I had the I had the had.
- 11:47Speaker 2: I had the worst uh thought going into it about like, oh,
- 11:51Speaker 2: I'm there's gonna be a pantyass, not like detrimental that nothing,
- 11:55Speaker 2: you know, life or death, Like that's gonna suck having
- 11:59Speaker 2: to fix this, uh huh. But then it turned out
- 12:02Speaker 2: to be okay, nice, Yeah, so not kidding. That's have
- 12:06Speaker 2: you ever lost something and I actually got it back?
- 12:09Speaker 2: Like you can't believe you got it back? Eight seven
- 12:11Speaker 2: seven forty four Woodie. You can set us a text
- 12:13Speaker 2: over to two two nine eight seven more Woody shows next,
- 12:16Speaker 2: Hang up, We'll.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Be right, We'll be right, We'll be right back. Yeah.
- 12:24Speaker 1: Have you ever lost something you couldn't believe you got
- 12:27Speaker 1: it back? I'll quickly tell you mine.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I I left work without my keys, but didn't realize
- 12:36Speaker 2: it until after I was already home, and then my
- 12:39Speaker 2: house and it was the night before, and I'm you know,
- 12:41Speaker 2: I always set my stuff out the night before like
- 12:43Speaker 2: a child.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Do you guys do that?
- 12:45Speaker 5: No? Not anymore.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Yeah, so I have like what I'm gonna wear the
- 12:49Speaker 2: next day because I'm you know, in the middle of
- 12:51Speaker 2: the night, tried to make a lot of noise to
- 12:53Speaker 2: make decisions.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and so the stuff I need to take with
- 12:55Speaker 1: me out of the house. I you know, I set
- 12:57Speaker 1: my keys, I said. Whatever else said yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 1: I get it right. I'm like, where the hell are
- 13:02Speaker 1: my keys? I couldn't find it.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Now my car will work just with my phone. So
- 13:07Speaker 2: like that's why I didn't even realize I didn't even
- 13:08Speaker 2: have the keys.
- 13:10Speaker 5: Yeah, so it didn't matter.
- 13:12Speaker 4: He didn't still make it to work.
- 13:13Speaker 2: I could still make it to work. But I'm like, man,
- 13:15Speaker 2: all the other keys like for everything, and they're they're gone.
- 13:19Speaker 5: Damn it.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I wouldn't even know because sometimes I'm more than responsible
- 13:23Speaker 2: one believe it or not when it comes to like
- 13:26Speaker 2: keeping track of things and my stuff, I believe and
- 13:29Speaker 2: so like I have, you know, the key, there is
- 13:32Speaker 2: no other one, So to get that, I have to
- 13:34Speaker 2: get it like re keyt or you know, it's something
- 13:36Speaker 2: in all my steps of uh where would this have
- 13:38Speaker 2: been get in? Like they're probably just sitting at my desk, Nope.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Came in the studio, Nope, not there either.
- 13:44Speaker 7: Maybe a bag here.
- 13:45Speaker 1: No, no, it was the next day.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I'm like, well, maybe I left him in the boards
- 13:49Speaker 2: studio because I stopped in there right before I left.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Nope, not in there either, My damn it.
- 13:54Speaker 2: And then it hit me. It was the day that
- 13:55Speaker 2: everybody was getting those flu shots. They brought people in
- 13:59Speaker 2: to give flu shots to the employees. So I'm like, oh,
- 14:01Speaker 2: I went down there, I'll check in that room and
- 14:04Speaker 2: not there. And I'm like, wait a minute. I was
- 14:06Speaker 2: on a phone call before I went in there. I
- 14:08Speaker 2: didn't want to sit there in the in the room
- 14:09Speaker 2: with the nurses and stuff on this phone call. So
- 14:12Speaker 2: I was in that little break room that's off to
- 14:13Speaker 2: the side. You get all the snacks and stuff downstairs,
- 14:16Speaker 2: and uh I had put them on one of those
- 14:18Speaker 2: circular tables and they were still sitting there.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Oh.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Fold like nobody messed with them. People steal everything around here.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Everything. You can't leave anything out, it gets stolen, Am
- 14:29Speaker 1: I wrong?
- 14:30Speaker 3: No?
- 14:30Speaker 1: No?
- 14:31Speaker 4: Or misplaced rail.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Stations are filled with thieves.
- 14:34Speaker 3: We had a problem with the alcohol in the building
- 14:36Speaker 3: kept on disappearance.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Well that makes even more sense. But I'm saying the
- 14:39Speaker 2: things that you would never think of a million years
- 14:41Speaker 2: would get taken get taken.
- 14:42Speaker 4: Everybody wants it.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yeah, like there was there there was a salesperson, I
- 14:46Speaker 2: guess who. People kept swiping boxes of tissues off their
- 14:49Speaker 2: desk and it wasn't even a thing fancy. It was
- 14:51Speaker 2: just that the ones from the supply closet downstairs, like,
- 14:54Speaker 2: why is it that everybody thinks I'm the supply closet
- 14:56Speaker 2: for everybody else?
- 14:57Speaker 1: They need a box of tissues, they just swipe it
- 14:59Speaker 1: off my desk.
- 15:00Speaker 4: Organ's like, yeah, your name's Gena.
- 15:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 15:01Speaker 2: So what they did is they put a mark on
- 15:03Speaker 2: the bottom of the box and then they went around
- 15:05Speaker 2: and just start picking him up and seeing who took
- 15:07Speaker 2: the and they found the person.
- 15:10Speaker 5: Oh that's good, But kudos to you for retracing your
- 15:13Speaker 5: steps down to the last detail.
- 15:15Speaker 6: Yeah, well yeah, it takes a while, Like wake up
- 15:17Speaker 6: in the middle of the night thinking of that.
- 15:19Speaker 5: I thought they were gone. Would you remember every single
- 15:21Speaker 5: place he went the day before?
- 15:22Speaker 2: There's only so many places on heat, but I'm in
- 15:24Speaker 2: this building, there's only so many places I'm.
- 15:26Speaker 5: Going to go.
- 15:26Speaker 4: And that place was so random. You have like no
- 15:28Speaker 4: muscle memory.
- 15:29Speaker 1: That's why it stood out because it was dish.
- 15:31Speaker 6: And that's a good one. And I don't want to
- 15:32Speaker 6: be a one upper, but I think I can one
- 15:34Speaker 6: up that. So I was in Iceland, you know, like
- 15:37Speaker 6: a month or two ago, and the very last night
- 15:39Speaker 6: we were there, my friend Becky and I went out
- 15:41Speaker 6: into the middle of nowhere to do our last night
- 15:45Speaker 6: of Northern lights chasing, and like we got to see it.
- 15:47Speaker 1: We got the bubble dome tense thing that you didn't.
- 15:50Speaker 6: But we drove out into the I mean we didn't
- 15:52Speaker 6: know where we were. There was cell phones didn't work.
- 15:54Speaker 6: I mean we were in the middle of nowhere to
- 15:56Speaker 6: field and we were there. We captured the northern lights.
- 15:59Speaker 6: High five each other.
- 16:00Speaker 4: It's so cold.
- 16:01Speaker 6: We keep jumping in and out of the car and
- 16:03Speaker 6: like not really paying attention whatever.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Had an amazing night. Get back to the hotel.
- 16:08Speaker 6: The night before we leave, we're packing up and I'm
- 16:10Speaker 6: not really thinking.
- 16:11Speaker 4: We get ready. The next morning, we're about to go
- 16:13Speaker 4: to the airport.
- 16:13Speaker 6: I can't find my wallet anywhere, wallet, license, credit cards, cash,
- 16:20Speaker 6: insurance card, nothing. I turned the room upside down. I
- 16:23Speaker 6: thank god my passport was in a different place. But
- 16:26Speaker 6: turn the room upside down, turn the car upside down,
- 16:28Speaker 6: turn the suitcases upside down. It's gone. And I go, Becky,
- 16:32Speaker 6: it's gone. Like the I live in Iceland. Now, so
- 16:36Speaker 6: retraced our steps, couldn't think of anything, and I'm like,
- 16:38Speaker 6: I guess I left it at the Blue Lagoon or.
- 16:41Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 16:41Speaker 6: I don't know, got on the plane, came home and
- 16:44Speaker 6: I had in my passport. Nope, I had nothing. I
- 16:47Speaker 6: had no money, I had nothing, And I thought, okay,
- 16:50Speaker 6: so I got to cancel these I got to order
- 16:52Speaker 6: a new driver's license, which is not easy. No, and
- 16:56Speaker 6: I just went on with my life. But I'm like,
- 16:57Speaker 6: oh god, what if somebody gets a hold of it
- 16:59Speaker 6: and like tries to like make copies everything. So a
- 17:03Speaker 6: girl calls me or gets to hold me on Instagram,
- 17:06Speaker 6: this little German girl, I found your.
- 17:08Speaker 4: Wallet and hello Genie, hello, I found.
- 17:13Speaker 1: I couldn't believe it.
- 17:15Speaker 8: She gave it to some random police station and this
- 17:19Speaker 8: nice cop, this icelanded cop email or it mailed it
- 17:22Speaker 8: to me and look, little hand, I cannot leave.
- 17:27Speaker 4: I got.
- 17:29Speaker 6: I know that's nowhere in Iceland.
- 17:33Speaker 2: That is even more amazing than something at a radio station,
- 17:35Speaker 2: not getting stolen inside everything that.
- 17:40Speaker 5: Has a strap on it that you weren't wearing.
- 17:42Speaker 6: First of all, strap I was wearing my strap on
- 17:44Speaker 6: because I was really excited.
- 17:46Speaker 4: Changed com Wow, that is really stiff.
- 17:50Speaker 1: That's impressive.
- 17:51Speaker 4: And all the money inside.
- 17:52Speaker 1: That's that's impressive.
- 17:54Speaker 4: The Icelandic people are the best people on earth.
- 17:55Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Wow.
- 17:56Speaker 3: I actually have a wallless story too, and I want
- 17:58Speaker 3: to share it because I'm sure Morgan has never experienced this.
- 18:02Speaker 3: But when I was working at a grocery store, I
- 18:03Speaker 3: was putting all the carts away at night and I
- 18:06Speaker 3: found a wallet in there. I opened it. It had
- 18:09Speaker 3: two thousand dollars in cash in this in this girl's information, right.
- 18:14Speaker 2: So I went back inside it. So I found this
- 18:15Speaker 2: wall with five dollars. There were two dollars in there.
- 18:20Speaker 3: There was nothing in there. So this is back in
- 18:22Speaker 3: the day. This is before Google and all the you know,
- 18:25Speaker 3: before we had social media and all this stuff.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Right, And I go back into.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Our office at the grocery store and I said to
- 18:31Speaker 3: our accountant, I said, I found this wall. She's like, okay,
- 18:33Speaker 3: just leave it here, and I go, no.
- 18:35Speaker 5: I'm gonna trust her.
- 18:36Speaker 1: I'm going to try to find this person.
- 18:38Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:39Speaker 3: So this is the part, Morgan that you've never experienced.
- 18:42Speaker 3: I called the operator. I said, yeah, I have this license,
- 18:48Speaker 3: this is the address, this is the this is person's name,
- 18:51Speaker 3: and the operator found the person's phone number, connected me
- 18:55Speaker 3: and if.
- 18:57Speaker 1: You'd like to make a call, hang up and try again.
- 19:01Speaker 3: I got ahold of lady. She she got there and
- 19:04Speaker 3: she was so happy.
- 19:05Speaker 1: She was like, oh my god, thank you so much.
- 19:07Speaker 3: I needed this money because I'm buying my BMW tomorrow. Okay, right,
- 19:12Speaker 3: she was a manager.
- 19:13Speaker 2: Of a Wilson's leather Did she give you Oh my god,
- 19:16Speaker 2: remember Wilson's Yeah, remember all the jacket.
- 19:19Speaker 3: Yeah. She's like, if you ever need anything from Wilson's letter.
- 19:23Speaker 1: I got you.
- 19:24Speaker 5: Did she give you a reward?
- 19:26Speaker 3: She offered it. But again, when you you're part of
- 19:29Speaker 3: a union, you can't take any anything like that.
- 19:32Speaker 1: There's a throwback Wilson's Leathers. Yeah.
- 19:35Speaker 4: It was the place right next.
- 19:38Speaker 1: To the KB toys, right, I mean yeah, the Walden books.
- 19:41Speaker 3: Check this out. This is crazy because a couple of
- 19:43Speaker 3: months later that accountant got busted for stealing money the
- 19:48Speaker 3: right ding. Wow, yeah it was cool.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:54Speaker 2: So have you lost something and you just couldn't believe

- 20:18Speaker 2: We were talking about how Gina mis misplaced, lost, lost
- 20:23Speaker 2: her wallet when she was in Iceland in a field,
- 20:27Speaker 2: random and then got it back. Yep, the shipped it back. Yeah,
- 20:31Speaker 2: found it and then yeah, shipped it back, lost and found.
- 20:34Speaker 2: Can't believe I got it back. We asked you to
- 20:36Speaker 2: uh text over two nine eighty seven some of those.
- 20:40Speaker 2: During some Christmas shopping at Sears, my wife dropped her
- 20:45Speaker 2: one carrot.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Diamond wedding ring. We left it was at dinner.
- 20:49Speaker 2: Three hours later we realized that she had lost it
- 20:51Speaker 2: and we retraced our steps back to the sears where
- 20:54Speaker 2: it was busy with people, and we found it near
- 20:56Speaker 2: a walkway at a.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Rack that we had been at. W that's crazy. I've
- 21:02Speaker 1: dropped a paper clip here in the studio where there's
- 21:04Speaker 1: nothing else around, Like where the like, where does it go?
- 21:10Speaker 5: This is magically Yeah.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I dropped a cap to like, uh, you know, my
- 21:14Speaker 2: my coke zero in my car the other day and
- 21:16Speaker 2: I thought it fell down in between like the crack
- 21:19Speaker 2: between the side of the seat and the center consolem hmm.
- 21:21Speaker 2: I'm digging around looking under the seat, couldn't find it
- 21:24Speaker 2: to the point I forget it.
- 21:25Speaker 1: I gave up.
- 21:26Speaker 2: Three days later, found it on the opposite side in
- 21:30Speaker 2: the back seat, like up against the door, Like how
- 21:34Speaker 2: did it go that far? Like I barely dropped it,
- 21:36Speaker 2: Like it was like I just kind of it wasn't
- 21:38Speaker 2: like I.
- 21:39Speaker 1: Threw it across the car.
- 21:40Speaker 5: So it dropped my vape in the same spot. You've
- 21:43Speaker 5: never seen panic in somebody lose a vape between your
- 21:47Speaker 5: seats of the car and you can't fit your hand
- 21:49Speaker 5: in there.
- 21:50Speaker 2: That's when left my Nintendo switch with all my games
- 21:54Speaker 2: in a case on a bus in Spain while studying abroad.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Emailed the bus depot. I had to take a few
- 22:00Speaker 2: buses and walked a few miles to the depot and.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Got it back. That's crazy miracle. Yeah. When I got
- 22:06Speaker 1: it back, they said in Spanish, isn't this for children?
- 22:10Speaker 3: Yes? I did leave my laptop at TSA once and
- 22:13Speaker 3: took off on my flight, you know, because you have
- 22:15Speaker 3: to take it out.
- 22:16Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 22:17Speaker 3: I don't think you have to do that anymore. But
- 22:19Speaker 3: I called. They found it and my buddy went and
- 22:21Speaker 3: picked it up at the airport. But I thought that
- 22:24Speaker 3: thing was.
- 22:24Speaker 7: Gone, which they always say, don't leave things unattended, They're
- 22:27Speaker 7: going to destroy it.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Good morning, what a show. I had a new born.
- 22:30Speaker 1: I left my wallet in the Target shopping cart out
- 22:34Speaker 1: in the parking lot. Luckily a cart attendant, menace was awesome,
- 22:39Speaker 1: found it and returned it. I got it back, so yeah,
- 22:41Speaker 1: there were some good people still in the world. Yeah,
- 22:43Speaker 1: and kudos to the cart returners. Yes, Chris. While we
- 22:48Speaker 1: were camping, I lost my wedding ring in a river.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Me and all the guys.
- 22:52Speaker 2: We grabbed snorkels from the kids and we headed into
- 22:54Speaker 2: the river to look for it. While the women were
- 22:57Speaker 2: just laughing at us. Against all odds, one of my
- 22:59Speaker 2: buddies comes up out of the river like Frodo with
- 23:02Speaker 2: his ring. I told my wife, every time I look
- 23:05Speaker 2: at this ring, I'll think of him.
- 23:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I thought my purse was stolen at the house party
- 23:11Speaker 2: one time. Two years later, I got a phone call
- 23:13Speaker 2: because they were moving out of the house and they
- 23:15Speaker 2: found my purse in the lining of a recliner. I
- 23:19Speaker 2: had made such a big scene. I was so embarrassed
- 23:22Speaker 2: even two years later.
- 23:23Speaker 5: In the lining of a recliner.
- 23:25Speaker 1: But you know, things can fall down in there.
- 23:27Speaker 2: And because the recliner goes back, it gets buried deep
- 23:30Speaker 2: by kind of like where the mechanics of the yeah yeah.
- 23:35Speaker 2: This one says I left my wallet on a pay
- 23:37Speaker 2: phone and then the cops brought it back to my
- 23:39Speaker 2: house with the money still in it. Oh damn ucky, yeah,
- 23:44Speaker 2: crazy happened. I still can't believe you got that wallet back.
- 23:48Speaker 2: I believe I was impressed that my keys were still
- 23:51Speaker 2: at the radio station in the place where I left them,
- 23:53Speaker 2: because there's so many thieves around here.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Ship back. There are no thieves in Iceland.
- 23:57Speaker 2: But man, you left a wallet with everything in it,
- 24:00Speaker 2: old and ice in a foreign country and got it.
- 24:02Speaker 4: Back every penny.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Crazy. Yeah eight seven seven forty four.
- 24:06Speaker 2: Wooding is the phone number if you want to call in,
- 24:08Speaker 2: send us a text over to two two nine eight seven.
- 24:11Speaker 2: Woodie Show will be right back another new hour of
- 24:15Speaker 2: The Woody Show.
- 24:15Speaker 1: Next hang up? So what you show?
- 24:17Speaker 5: You need to be
