- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. The monarchy in the UK has been able
- 0:09to weather some serious storms throughout its history, including the
- 0:14abdication of Edward the Eighth, But of all the scandals
- 0:18that the monarchy has faced, the Prince Andrew scandal is
- 0:23perhaps the most damaging. And if we're listening to Andrew Lowney,
- 0:29he says that what's going on with Prince Andrew overshadows
- 0:33the abdication of Edward the Eighth, And look, it's certainly
- 0:37more embarrassing. Right With Edward the eighth, he abdicated and
- 0:42they moved on. But with Prince Andrew, this dude's hanging
- 0:46around like a barnacle on the bottom of a boat,
- 0:49and he just won't go away. So every single time
- 0:52some new information comes out, the monarchy's forced to deal
- 0:56with it all over again. So basically, what I'm telling
- 0:58you is that Andrew is like the human form of herpes.
- 1:03Even when you use the voweltrax or whatever medicine they
- 1:06have these days for it, it's gonna come back eventually.
- 1:10That's the case with Prince Andrew. The fact that they
- 1:14babied him, the fact that they let him get away
- 1:16with the bullshit for so long has now led us
- 1:19to this point and it's become a gigantic, festering wound
- 1:25right in the belly of the monarchy. And according to
- 1:29Andrew Lowney, it might be a wound that is mortal.
- 1:33So today we have an article from the Deli mel
- 1:36and the headline Andrew mount Batton Winsor links to Epstein's
- 1:40scandal is more of a crisis for royals than abdication
- 1:43of Edward the Eighth. Biographer Andrew Lowney claims this article
- 1:48was authored by Mark Duell. Andrew mount Batten Winsor's links
- 1:52to Jeffrey epstein have given the royal family a bigger
- 1:55crisis than Edward the Eight's abdication, a biographer claim today.
- 2:00Andrew Lowney said that public anger is greater about the
- 2:03former prince's behavior and his links to the pedophile financier
- 2:08than when the King stepped down in nineteen thirty six. Well, look,
- 2:12the King stepped down, he did the right thing, and
- 2:14he faded from publicity, right, faded from the public view.
- 2:19But Prince Andrew, he tried to hold on till the
- 2:22very end, and not only that he continued to lie
- 2:25about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein all the way up
- 2:28until the arrest, and I'm sure he was still lying
- 2:31about it to the police. Do you really think that
- 2:34Prince Andrew at this point is going to tell you
- 2:36the truth or that he's even capable of telling the truth,
- 2:42because I just don't believe it. I don't think he's
- 2:44capable of telling the truth even. And you know what
- 2:48they say, right, when you tell a lie for so long,
- 2:50you start thinking that shit's true. And with Prince Andrew,
- 2:53he's probably convinced himself he's done nothing wrong. And that
- 2:57whole entire mindset was enabled by the Queen for all
- 3:00those years. She let Prince Andrew, or should I say
- 3:04the artist formerly known as Prince Andrew, get away with
- 3:08pretty much whatever you wanted, and that led to the
- 3:10behavior that we're seeing here. Mister Lowney, who wrote entitled
- 3:15The Rise and Fall of the House of York, compared
- 3:17current events to when Edward abdicated to marry us divorcee,
- 3:21while as Simpson, Oh, what a scandal. He wants to
- 3:26marry a divorcee. What a scandal? Imagine being the king
- 3:29and not being allowed to marry whoever you wanted to marry.
- 3:33He had to marry some stuffy ass noble woman or whatever.
- 3:37Sounds like a lot of fun. What's the point being
- 3:39the king If I can't marry who I want to
- 3:42marry and do what I want to do, you know,
- 3:44within the bounds of reason, obviously, But I'm talking about
- 3:48my personal life. If I want to marry Willa from
- 3:51down the block, who I grew up with, then that's
- 3:54who I should marry. I think these ancient customs should
- 3:58be left in ancient times. The author told the Oxford
- 4:02Literary Festival yesterday that Edward's abdication was a three day
- 4:06wonder and the public did not engage with the full
- 4:09details at the time. Mister Lowney also cited how edward
- 4:14support of Nazis was not yet common knowledge, and how
- 4:17he resigned voluntarily to marry a woman that he loved,
- 4:21reported the Times. So look, I'm not too familiar with
- 4:25his support of Nazis and whatnot. I know that there
- 4:29was support by Edward, but I'm not some historian who
- 4:33can go deep into the weeds and tell you one
- 4:35way or the other. Now, if you're going to support
- 4:39the nazis probably a good idea to abdicate, right, But
- 4:43if you're abdicating because you're in love with some woman
- 4:46who is not a royal, then I don't even find
- 4:49that to be a scandal, to be honest with you,
- 4:51It's just like that whole Harry and Megan Markle thing.
- 4:55I really just don't care. The inner workings of the
- 4:58royal family do not interests me one bit. What interests
- 5:02me is how their given protection from the law that
- 5:05the rest of us would never receive. That's what interests me.
- 5:12The biographer also wrote Trader King the Scandalous Exile of
- 5:16the Duke and Duchess. A Winsor compared this to Andrew
- 5:20being stripped of his royal titles and honors after allegations
- 5:24continued to be revealed about his relationship with Epstein. And
- 5:29if anybody should have been stripped, if anybody should have
- 5:32lost their titles, certainly Andrew. Look, I have no empathy
- 5:37for it. This man had every benefit in the whole
- 5:40entire world. Imagine having everything Andrew had just given to
- 5:46you and squandering it all and then crying about how
- 5:51it's unfair or how you're being targeted. Think about how
- 5:55hard you work every single day to put food on
- 5:58the table. Your kids have everything they need, everything they want.
- 6:04Make sure your life is as comfortable as possible, and
- 6:08think about how expensive it all is. Then imagine waking
- 6:13up one day and being the son of the Queen
- 6:15of England. Can you imagine how different in your life
- 6:19would be? Do you really think you'd sit around thinking about, Oh,
- 6:24I want to hang out with Jeffrey Epstein, or I
- 6:26don't have enough as the Queen's son, I need more.
- 6:30It's so absurd to me, and I think it makes
- 6:32me so mad because I know how hard everybody works
- 6:35to get where they're going, and then you have a
- 6:37guy like this that just takes it all for granted.
- 6:43Andrews sixty six was released under investigation on February nineteenth,
- 6:48after being held for eleven hours in police custody on
- 6:52suspicion of misconduct in public office. The former Duke of
- 6:56York was also stripped of his royal title and evicted
- 6:59from Royal Lodge and Winsor by his brother in the
- 7:02wake of the Epstein scandal. And look, that's all great,
- 7:06that's awesome, but it should have happened a long time ago,
- 7:10and the fact that they coddled this dude and let
- 7:12him get away with all of this by enabling him
- 7:14for all these years is a big problem. And at
- 7:17some point the royal family is going to have to
- 7:19face it head on because if they don't, it's just
- 7:22going to keep festering like we've seen over all these years.
- 7:26So they have to just deal with it at some point.
- 7:28And finally the King got to that point, right, enough
- 7:31is enough. I can't take this anymore. This is the
- 7:34kind of thing that can ruin everything, basically, so I
- 7:39have to cut eight and Prince Andrew was effectively voted
- 7:44off the island. But mister Lowney said it was unlikely
- 7:48that Andrew will be prosecuted because the Royals will not
- 7:51want him in court, saying everyone knew about this. Why
- 7:54am I being penalized? And I think that is the
- 7:57very likely scenario. Unfortunately, you know the UK, they're spinning
- 8:02their wheels here and the optics are good right now.
- 8:06But are those optics going to remain the same if
- 8:09they don't prosecute Mandelssohn and Prince Andrew. We all know
- 8:13the story and we all know how the UK has
- 8:16been very hesitant when it comes to enforcing justice surrounding
- 8:21Epstein in his crimes, so I remain skeptical that we're
- 8:26going to see real action here. Andrew was spotted over
- 8:31the weekend for the first time since his arrest, cutting
- 8:34a solitary figure as he took his dog for a
- 8:36walk around Sandringham. The King's disgraced brother wandered about the
- 8:40countryside for ninety minutes near Wood Farm, part of Charles
- 8:44Estate in Norfolk, where he now lives. Talk about a
- 8:48fall from grace. This dude went from gallivanting all over
- 8:53the world, enjoying the hospitality of the most famous, the
- 8:57most powerful, now walking around with the dog in Norfolk
- 9:02for ninety minutes. And that's the extent of his socializing. Well,
- 9:07you know what they say about making your own bed right.
- 9:12It's the first time that Andrew had been pictured since
- 9:14photos were taken of him slumped in the rear of
- 9:17a range rover following his arrest four weeks ago. Andrew
- 9:21appears to be desperately clinging onto his royal styling. However,
- 9:25hundreds of removal boxes stamped HRH office, HRH sitting room
- 9:30and even HRH meeting room were last delivered to his
- 9:34new abode. This guy just won't give up. The party's over, buddy.
- 9:38You're not the Prince anymore. You're not a royal. You're
- 9:42about as royal as me. And if you were a
- 9:44regular person, your ass would probably already be in jail.
- 9:49And the only reason you're not is because you're the
- 9:51Queen's son. But short of that, your bitch ass would
- 9:55be in jail already. The five bedroom house has been
- 9:59hastily upgraded in recent days, with security, fencing, CCTV and
- 10:04broadband installed, as well as works carried out on the grounds.
- 10:10Last week, Scotland Yards chief said it was investigating a
- 10:13whole range of sexual allegations against Andrew to see if
- 10:16they merit a criminal investigation. Andrew was accused of having
- 10:21sex with Jeffrey Epstein, victim for Junior Roberts, three times,
- 10:25including when she was seventeen after being traffic by the
- 10:29pedophile financier. The former prince was arrested last month on
- 10:33suspicion of misconduct and public office over claims that he
- 10:37shared sensitive information with Epstein when he was the UK's
- 10:41Trade envoy, but Andrew has not been arrested in relation
- 10:45to any sex offenses. Well that's true, but now that
- 10:50they opened the door, we all know they're going to
- 10:52walk through, right, And that's what's going on now. Behind
- 10:55the scenes. They're going through all the evidence, whatever they
- 10:58can find, whatever they have, and they're going to try
- 11:00and figure out if any other criminal charges are warranted.
- 11:05So we'll see what happens, but like usual, I remain
- 11:09skeptical that we're going to get any real justice here.
- 11:12So like all the other stories we're keeping an eye on,
- 11:15we'll keep an eye on this one as the investigation
- 11:18into the former Prince Andrew continues to grow. All the
- 11:22information that goes with this episode can be found in
- 11:26the description box.
