Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Benn and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with i R Radio. We're back for Bachelor in Paradise Finale,
- 0:08Speaker 1: Part two. This is half reunion show and half down
- 0:12Speaker 1: at the play at Escondida Beach with the engagements. So
- 0:16Speaker 1: we start off this episode with the cast coming together
- 0:20Speaker 1: to relive some moments. We only have those two couples
- 0:24Speaker 1: left down there, but we're going to get to that later.
- 0:27Speaker 1: So we're getting flashbacks to the girls game live reactions.
- 0:30Speaker 1: In The first couple that we see kind of go
- 0:32Speaker 1: head to head live on stage is Sane and Logan.
- 0:37Speaker 1: And how did you feel like that conversation went? Hey
- 0:40Speaker 1: because we forgot it there together. It was so long ago.
- 0:43Speaker 1: I really forgot there together. That's how I felt. Yeah, Um,
- 0:48Speaker 1: so I didn't really care about this confrontation, but I
- 0:50Speaker 1: do think that uh Logan's confrontation with Kate was kind
- 0:55Speaker 1: of funny once she admitted her wrongs and said that
- 0:57Speaker 1: she shouldn't have talked to him like that. That did
- 0:59Speaker 1: see the meeting and such, but then he really went
- 1:03Speaker 1: out and defended himself. He was like, I'm really proud
- 1:06Speaker 1: of my career. I moved out here to l a
- 1:09Speaker 1: is started from scratch, and I like, how far I've come? Right? Now,
- 1:13Speaker 1: here's the deal. Actually, if anybody's lived in l A
- 1:15Speaker 1: for more than three years, I give him respect because
- 1:18Speaker 1: that city is the most expensive city in the world
- 1:20Speaker 1: out than New York City, other than San Francisco. Yeah
- 1:24Speaker 1: fair enough, okay, But if you figured out a way
- 1:26Speaker 1: to like make it work, yeah, respect. I couldn't do it.
- 1:32Speaker 1: That's why I never moved there. I stayed in Denver
- 1:36Speaker 1: and so and and at the same time, there's a
- 1:40Speaker 1: beautiful story I want to share with you for a second.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Can I share it with you? Sure? Of course. One
- 1:45Speaker 1: of my parents or one of my parents, one of
- 1:47Speaker 1: my parents actually good friends and my best friends parents.
- 1:50Speaker 1: One night they set me down when I was in
- 1:52Speaker 1: middle school. I never forget it. They're like, don't move
- 1:55Speaker 1: to l A. They're like, they told me their love story.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I asked them, like, hey, how do you guys meet
- 2:01Speaker 1: you know whatever, and they're like, uh, you know what
- 2:04Speaker 1: they said, you know, the best season of our life
- 2:06Speaker 1: was the season that set us up for everything. And
- 2:09Speaker 1: they're very wealthy. I mean, they've done very well for themselves.
- 2:12Speaker 1: Now they've they've bought and sold their own businesses twice,
- 2:16Speaker 1: and they said the first five years of our marriage,
- 2:20Speaker 1: we lived in an apartment that was a studio apartment
- 2:24Speaker 1: that didn't have room for us to really even both
- 2:26Speaker 1: move around in it. Our bed was in our living room,
- 2:29Speaker 1: we had a small little kitchen. We didn't have any
- 2:32Speaker 1: money to buy anything. And it brought us stronger because
- 2:37Speaker 1: our love is what pushed us through and our support
- 2:41Speaker 1: of each other. And I've kept that with me ever
- 2:44Speaker 1: since then. And this is why this whole Kate conversation.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I know she's a little older, uh, and so there's yeah,
- 2:51Speaker 1: but like it's bugged me because it's like, get off
- 2:54Speaker 1: his back. I think he's doing fine. I don't know
- 2:57Speaker 1: how what his net worth is. Maybe he's the grandchild
- 3:01Speaker 1: of the Rockefellers and he's just not telling anybody and
- 3:04Speaker 1: he doesn't want anybody to know it. And he's just
- 3:05Speaker 1: kind of like living his dream and doing his thing.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And once you guys get married, you're gonna find out
- 3:09Speaker 1: that this dudes loaded or maybe he's not. Maybe he's not.
- 3:15Speaker 1: And if you love my parents were the same, Yeah,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I mean look at your parents right, Like they had
- 3:20Speaker 1: to go through med school together. Like my dad didn't
- 3:23Speaker 1: even he wasn't even able to get into med school
- 3:25Speaker 1: when they got together. He had to like go take
- 3:28Speaker 1: more classes in college and like get his masters and
- 3:32Speaker 1: stuff in order to be like eligible for you know,
- 3:35Speaker 1: med school. And my dad graduated so much later than
- 3:38Speaker 1: most other kids, you know, like he didn't become a
- 3:42Speaker 1: part of a practice until he was in his late thirties.
- 3:46Speaker 1: So more of the story, money is not the driving
- 3:49Speaker 1: force to love. This couple just didn't work. But I
- 3:52Speaker 1: never liked those conversations because I felt like it put
- 3:55Speaker 1: him in a weird spot. And I also just want
- 3:57Speaker 1: to tell her, Hey, it ain't that important. Are gonna
- 4:00Speaker 1: be fine. Love conquers all. But that's how we that's
- 4:05Speaker 1: how we get introduced to this episode. The next scene,
- 4:10Speaker 1: I'm forgetting actually what happened in the next scene, Jill
- 4:15Speaker 1: in Tarzan Jacob. They basically say, I'd like to give
- 4:20Speaker 1: it another go. We don't have like a ton of contacts,
- 4:23Speaker 1: but like just between us, basically, he was he kind
- 4:27Speaker 1: of alluded to on our podcast that he wanted to
- 4:31Speaker 1: try things out and that he started to think about
- 4:33Speaker 1: her a lot more after Paradise, and they were texting
- 4:36Speaker 1: during that time. And calling each other face timing and such.
- 4:39Speaker 1: So that's where he tried to make it official right
- 4:42Speaker 1: there on that Bachelor for Now my stage, and I
- 4:45Speaker 1: think I could say it now. He's coming to Rhode
- 4:48Speaker 1: Island to visit her in a couple of weeks, and
- 4:49Speaker 1: we're going to have him at Audrey's. Jill and Jill
- 4:52Speaker 1: and Jacob at Audrey's. I'm sure he'll pick her up
- 4:54Speaker 1: a number of times during that event. Yes, that's their thing.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Do you see this couple working? Yeah, but it's just
- 5:05Speaker 1: fun for now. Okay, I actually see it working because
- 5:09Speaker 1: I got to meet Jill at Audrey's. The best coffee shop,
- 5:13Speaker 1: UM east of Generous, east of the Mississippi, east of
- 5:18Speaker 1: the Mississippy, UM, incredible spot, a lot of fun, and
- 5:23Speaker 1: I was like, this girl has a lot of depth.
- 5:25Speaker 1: We got to talk to Jacob on the podcast. He
- 5:27Speaker 1: obviously has a lot of depth. I see it working.
- 5:30Speaker 1: I would be disappointed if they break up. Yeah, but
- 5:33Speaker 1: I think they'll always be friends, Like they'll always bust
- 5:35Speaker 1: each other's chops, you know. Well keep us updated. I
- 5:39Speaker 1: feel like the Outrey's Coffee Shop is going to bring
- 5:43Speaker 1: us a ton of insight into this relationship. Okay, then
- 5:46Speaker 1: we get into the heaviness. Uh. It kind of was
- 5:49Speaker 1: glossed over during the reunion. Yeah yeah, I felt like
- 5:55Speaker 1: there was more to it, like a hot seat kind
- 5:57Speaker 1: of moment, and some really like but just feel like
- 6:00Speaker 1: the show didn't feel like it needed it. I felt
- 6:02Speaker 1: like it did. It took up a whole episode of
- 6:04Speaker 1: people crying, but Eliza, Rodney and Justin's life love triangle
- 6:07Speaker 1: comes up next. What obviously happened was the producers talked
- 6:12Speaker 1: to Rodney and he was like, no, I don't want
- 6:14Speaker 1: to be with her anymore, and so they're like, well,
- 6:16Speaker 1: if he doesn't want to be with her anymore, let's
- 6:18Speaker 1: not make it a grand moment. What was the strangeist
- 6:21Speaker 1: of all was that Justin wasn't brought up once, and
- 6:26Speaker 1: Justin's sitting there making his awesome Justin expressions and he
- 6:30Speaker 1: didn't speak once during the airing of the reunion. Neither
- 6:34Speaker 1: did Andrew. Yeah that is weird. But why do you
- 6:39Speaker 1: think Rodney's not still into her? Do you think he
- 6:41Speaker 1: found somebody else? No? I think like, after watching it back,
- 6:46Speaker 1: I just feel like Rodney, he deserves the world, not
- 6:50Speaker 1: this girl that didn't think that he you know that
- 6:54Speaker 1: obviously didn't like him enough. She obviously didn't like him enough. Yes,
- 6:58Speaker 1: there's extraction. I would never I say stuff like this.
- 7:01Speaker 1: It's like, okay, but Jared didn't like you enough for
- 7:03Speaker 1: a long time, you know, Like I always feel like
- 7:05Speaker 1: I have to bring that up because it's just too
- 7:07Speaker 1: weird to you know, things can change, things can change.
- 7:15Speaker 1: But I don't think Rodney is wanting that moment now.
- 7:19Speaker 1: You know, maybe down the road if she is. But
- 7:21Speaker 1: like too fresh, it's too weird. It's too weird for
- 7:26Speaker 1: me to talk about Ben, It's too weird. You have
- 7:28Speaker 1: to talk about it because like I was in Paradise,
- 7:32Speaker 1: Jared picked other people in front of me multiple times,
- 7:37Speaker 1: and here I am saying that he shouldn't take her back.
- 7:41Speaker 1: So I mean, what do you think. I don't think so.
- 7:44Speaker 1: I don't know. I just don't think so, not yet,
- 7:47Speaker 1: not yet, give him, give them another shot on the beach.
- 7:53Speaker 1: She's the one. I just don't think she's the one
- 7:55Speaker 1: for him. I also think Rodney's MS went about a
- 8:00Speaker 1: thousand miles an hour after every in the beach was crying.
- 8:03Speaker 1: And I think he's fine, and he's probably realizing he's fine,
- 8:07Speaker 1: call me a sucker for romance. I actually think he
- 8:09Speaker 1: truly is getting out of it now five months later,
- 8:12Speaker 1: and it's just not wanting to address it and just
- 8:14Speaker 1: like just not wanting to get that back down into
- 8:18Speaker 1: the the suck that was Eliza. Yeah, well the suck
- 8:23Speaker 1: that was the situation, not Eliza specifically. Okay, yeah, I
- 8:28Speaker 1: imagine the suction that was her pull on him. Yeah
- 8:32Speaker 1: that makes sense. Okay, that that clears that up. I'm
- 8:35Speaker 1: so articulate. Guys, you're doing great. Tyler and Brittany shocker,
- 8:52Speaker 1: we have no idea what happened. This feels like the
- 8:54Speaker 1: most useless scene in the whole episode because Tyler is
- 8:58Speaker 1: crushed and he feels like he wants to say something
- 9:01Speaker 1: but he doesn't feel like it's appropriate to say it,
- 9:04Speaker 1: and he doesn't want to, and then it just like
- 9:07Speaker 1: ends with them not being together and there's nothing. There's
- 9:12Speaker 1: like so much left to the imagination. You think that
- 9:15Speaker 1: Tyler is holding something back, because I think Brittany is
- 9:18Speaker 1: definitely holding something back more she doesn't want to make
- 9:21Speaker 1: him sound pathetic or something like that. But I think
- 9:24Speaker 1: that he went way too fast. They said, I mean,
- 9:27Speaker 1: they did say I love you on the sand. So
- 9:29Speaker 1: you know they were in a serious relationship when they left,
- 9:32Speaker 1: but I think that he may have been like super
- 9:34Speaker 1: clingy or something because he was calling her, texting her, face,
- 9:39Speaker 1: sting her, dm ng her all that, like right after
- 9:41Speaker 1: she broke up with him. And then he goes, you're
- 9:43Speaker 1: not supposed to let somebody you love like be in
- 9:48Speaker 1: pain like that or something along those lines. And then
- 9:51Speaker 1: it's like, well, actually, if you break up, like you're
- 9:55Speaker 1: kind of on your own, like, yeah, sure, a check
- 9:57Speaker 1: in here or there, but also a check and often
- 10:00Speaker 1: opens the door for that person to try to get
- 10:03Speaker 1: back in and sometimes it's not an appropriate time for that.
- 10:06Speaker 1: That's fair, now, I get that. I mean I think
- 10:08Speaker 1: there's something there's something there. I think the way in
- 10:11Speaker 1: that would be there's something there that's weird and that
- 10:13Speaker 1: neither of them are saying out of respect for somebody
- 10:18Speaker 1: in that group. But it just felt pointless. Why have
- 10:21Speaker 1: them both out there if there's nothing that's going to
- 10:23Speaker 1: be said. Um, I didn't gain any insight from it.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I don't know if I deserve it. I'm gonna have
- 10:31Speaker 1: to ask Bertnany. Michael and Danielle then come out together
- 10:35Speaker 1: with some very exciting news. The very exciting news is
- 10:40Speaker 1: that she's moving out of Nashville, which I feel like
- 10:43Speaker 1: she's very solidly based in Nashville, you know, but when
- 10:48Speaker 1: she's moving to ack her in Ohio. No, I'm not
- 10:51Speaker 1: saying I'm surprised. I'm just saying that, like, I feel
- 10:53Speaker 1: like that's been her home for a long time. And
- 10:55Speaker 1: this is how serious they are, that she's moving to
- 10:58Speaker 1: Ohio for him, not in with him, but she's she'll
- 11:02Speaker 1: find a place of her own clothes to him. And
- 11:05Speaker 1: the biggest thing is that he said I love you
- 11:10Speaker 1: right there the first time on stage, second girl in
- 11:13Speaker 1: his life that he's ever said I love you too,
- 11:15Speaker 1: and I karad. Can I give some insight now? Ah? Yeah,
- 11:23Speaker 1: insight or like intel? M I don't know what the
- 11:27Speaker 1: difference is. Oh, insight is like your opinions on the matter.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Intel is like what you know from Michael. Well. Now
- 11:36Speaker 1: we can say that they're both at Wells and Sarah's
- 11:39Speaker 1: wedding together. Yeah, and we spent a lot of time
- 11:42Speaker 1: with them, and they are cute. I mean they are cute,
- 11:47Speaker 1: Like there is a lot there, there's a lot of
- 11:50Speaker 1: joy there, there's a lot of like euphoric like love there. Um,
- 11:57Speaker 1: like they're good, and uh, I want to get him
- 12:00Speaker 1: on this podcast. Actually think we can do that. Yeah,
- 12:04Speaker 1: we're getting them on the pod. I think we're getting
- 12:07Speaker 1: them on the podcast. We're getting unnamed happy couples this week.
- 12:12Speaker 1: They're surprises to you, surprises to us. I love Danielle's
- 12:17Speaker 1: reddish hair. That shade is always like the shade that
- 12:21Speaker 1: girls are like doing right now because it's very trendy
- 12:23Speaker 1: and normally I'm like, cute on you, but your your
- 12:27Speaker 1: normal color looks better. With Danielle. I think she should
- 12:31Speaker 1: say this color forever. She looks so good. They're so
- 12:35Speaker 1: adorable and how cute was her response to Um the
- 12:38Speaker 1: I love you because she's she like freaked out. She's like,
- 12:41Speaker 1: I've been wanting to say that. I accidentally said it
- 12:44Speaker 1: and then like I felt awkward and I want to
- 12:46Speaker 1: like eat, but now he says that, I'm just you know,
- 12:49Speaker 1: it was so gleeful. This is good. This is good.
- 12:54Speaker 1: I don't want any of us that are fans of
- 12:56Speaker 1: baslor Nation to dismiss just how good this moment is. Um,
- 13:02Speaker 1: there's a lot of realness here. There's a lot of
- 13:03Speaker 1: pain here. There's a lot of story here. We've you know,
- 13:06Speaker 1: maybe got to overplayed in a sense, like everybody talked
- 13:09Speaker 1: about it, but the relationship led to this beautiful moment
- 13:13Speaker 1: where the two of them can say no, I love you,
- 13:16Speaker 1: and they met on the beach in Paradise. No matter
- 13:18Speaker 1: how it worked out, no matter how it happened, they
- 13:20Speaker 1: went on the beach in Paradise. They seem really happy,
- 13:23Speaker 1: and we're happy for them. M it was awkward for
- 13:29Speaker 1: uh Sierra to be sitting in the audience. I felt
- 13:32Speaker 1: for her in that moment. Now I feel for too, um,
- 13:37Speaker 1: But how many other okay, how many other ex is
- 13:41Speaker 1: from the beach or in that audience, like watching another
- 13:44Speaker 1: relationship flourish. That's so true, you know. So No, it
- 13:48Speaker 1: doesn't take away, it doesn't diminish, like the fact that
- 13:51Speaker 1: she felt something and she thought something was real. But
- 13:54Speaker 1: there's other exs sitting in that audience and they're sitting
- 13:56Speaker 1: there watching it, and I think, in Paradise, you got
- 13:59Speaker 1: to go in with them instead of Hey, if somebody
- 14:01Speaker 1: ends up happy, they end up happy, and we celebrate
- 14:03Speaker 1: it no matter what. And this is a happy couple. Okay, Ashley,
- 14:08Speaker 1: I'm going to and tell me if you disagree, fight
- 14:12Speaker 1: me on this. Okay, But the Johnny and Victoria's situation,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm going to touch on it here. But we have
- 14:18Speaker 1: Johnny on the podcast in an in depth that explains
- 14:23Speaker 1: everything that happened that night, and we know it explains
- 14:26Speaker 1: everything because it's already been recorded. Yeah, and so I
- 14:29Speaker 1: feel like what I want to say about the Johnny
- 14:30Speaker 1: and Victoria's situation is there's more to learn, there's more
- 14:35Speaker 1: to see. Um. There doesn't feel like there's a heavy
- 14:40Speaker 1: grudge held, but there is a lot to discover. And
- 14:45Speaker 1: I think hearing from Johnny would be a lot better
- 14:48Speaker 1: than the two of us trying to explain what happened
- 14:50Speaker 1: on that couch. Yeah, and then it just gonna be
- 14:52Speaker 1: weird because we're gonna be giving our thoughts and then
- 14:54Speaker 1: you're gonna hear like our real thoughts when we get
- 14:59Speaker 1: far more details from Johnny. And we'll finish here with
- 15:02Speaker 1: a very happy couple. Serena Brandon, Uh, Serena, have you
- 15:07Speaker 1: ever seen anything more pure? No? It's like, I'm so
- 15:11Speaker 1: glad they made it because if this relationship would have ended,
- 15:13Speaker 1: I would have been crushed. I will venture to say
- 15:16Speaker 1: I have never I don't think i've ever on this
- 15:18Speaker 1: franchise seen a couple more in love than them. And
- 15:23Speaker 1: I know that I am married. From the franchise, you
- 15:25Speaker 1: didn't get to see, get to see a lot of
- 15:27Speaker 1: the goodness in our formation and the friends you know
- 15:32Speaker 1: who are married from the show. But there's something about
- 15:35Speaker 1: this couple. It's I've never seen a relationship just seems
- 15:40Speaker 1: so easy. It's a good couple, blissful, it's awesome. Well,
- 15:45Speaker 1: it's on the celebrate the two of them together. Um,
- 15:48Speaker 1: it worked from Paradise and we cannot be more excited
- 15:51Speaker 1: for them. Um. Oh what about their marriage and how
- 15:54Speaker 1: they didn't They decided not to get married, which I
- 15:56Speaker 1: was really grateful for. When I saw Jesse walking up
- 15:58Speaker 1: with that book the Bible, I'm not sure what he
- 16:01Speaker 1: was holding, I was like, oh, no, don't do it,
- 16:05Speaker 1: don't marry, don't ask them to get married. Now you
- 16:08Speaker 1: know they did that to me, remember that, remember that
- 16:11Speaker 1: my childhood passed her out to Los Angeles and I
- 16:14Speaker 1: was like, I was like, wait, what like and he
- 16:17Speaker 1: didn't really know what he was doing, so like, no
- 16:19Speaker 1: discredit to him. He was like, they asked me to
- 16:21Speaker 1: come out and like hang out with you guys, And
- 16:22Speaker 1: I was like, I get why you'd say yes that.
- 16:25Speaker 1: But then he gets out there and like, yeah, we're
- 16:27Speaker 1: gonna try to do this thing right here on stage,
- 16:29Speaker 1: and it's like, you guys are psychos. What like we're
- 16:33Speaker 1: to break up in a couple of years. Yeah, no, things,
- 16:37Speaker 1: it's just not really romantic. It's not like a let's
- 16:40Speaker 1: go to Vegas and get married situation. It's like, let's
- 16:44Speaker 1: do this for TV and yeah, and like in their case,
- 16:49Speaker 1: you're saying, we've never met each other's families and you
- 16:52Speaker 1: want us to just get married and be like, oh, hey,
- 16:54Speaker 1: guess what where we got married. Obviously, it seemed as if,
- 16:58Speaker 1: like off camera they may have contemplated it, because they
- 17:03Speaker 1: did call. Brendan said that they called his mom and
- 17:08Speaker 1: she said, I'll kill you if you get married without
- 17:10Speaker 1: me there. I would too, Like, that's just not a thing. No,
- 17:15Speaker 1: I'm glad, they said now, but joy an engagement period.
- 17:19Speaker 1: That's a nice period, so fun, it's so fun. Well,
- 17:23Speaker 1: the more of the story is those two are great together,
- 17:26Speaker 1: and they seem to be great together and going to
- 17:28Speaker 1: be great together, and I hope they are great together.
- 17:30Speaker 1: Forever and ever and ever and ever and ever and
- 17:32Speaker 1: ever and ever. Um. All right, that's the finale a
- 17:36Speaker 1: Bachelor in Paradise actually, but it's not the end of
- 17:40Speaker 1: our work. As you mentioned, we have some incredible episodes
- 17:44Speaker 1: coming up with Johnny with some happy couples. We're gonna
- 17:47Speaker 1: have Genna Vievan Um. We have some big things happening
- 17:51Speaker 1: here at almost Same his podcast that are worth listening to. Um.
- 17:55Speaker 1: They give a lot of insight and clarity into the
- 17:57Speaker 1: things that maybe we didn't see. So continue to tune
