- 0:00Speaker 1: B from Midtown Manhattan.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Here comes the Mark Simone Show on seven to ten
- 0:06Speaker 2: wo R.
- 0:10Speaker 1: Well, the mayoral race. We'll give you all the latest,
- 0:13Speaker 1: all the latest polling information, all the latest info coming
- 0:16Speaker 1: up in just a second. We'll get to the World
- 0:18Speaker 1: Series last night. We'll get to Joe Biden. There's a
- 0:22Speaker 1: new report coming out about how really bad he was.
- 0:24Speaker 1: At the end, we'll get to the president's trip to Asia.
- 0:29Speaker 1: It's a pretty amazing trip. We'll get to a ballroom
- 0:32Speaker 1: derangement syndrome and more. Don't forget this is the last
- 0:36Speaker 1: week of daylight saving time, starting Sunday. It's going to
- 0:40Speaker 1: be dark out five point fifteen, five thirty. It's just terrible.
- 0:45Speaker 1: It takes a lot of getting used to. So where
- 0:48Speaker 1: do we stand in the mayle race. Well, it doesn't
- 0:50Speaker 1: look good. Mamdannie maintains a pretty comfortable lead. And well
- 0:57Speaker 1: i'll give you the latest poll, the latest poll. And
- 1:00Speaker 1: these are not great polls. These are these college polls
- 1:02Speaker 1: which don't mean much of anything. But the latest one,
- 1:07Speaker 1: the latest college poll shows Andrew Cuomo ten points behind. Now,
- 1:13Speaker 1: there was a previous poll. Again, these are all junk polls,
- 1:15Speaker 1: but it showed him twenty points behind. So you know
- 1:19Speaker 1: you're in real trouble when you're cheering that you rose
- 1:22Speaker 1: up to only ten points behind. Ten points behind is
- 1:25Speaker 1: still ten points behind. Now, what's interesting in this poll
- 1:31Speaker 1: is if Sleewood dropped out, we don't think Curtis needs
- 1:35Speaker 1: to drop out second to solve Cuomo's problems. His unlikeability,
- 1:40Speaker 1: his terrible track record as governor turned off a lot
- 1:43Speaker 1: of people. That's why he's been just stumbling through this campaign.
- 1:47Speaker 1: You know, in the had he not been in the primary,
- 1:50Speaker 1: we might be in a different place. Had he stayed
- 1:52Speaker 1: out of this, Eric Adams would have run in the
- 1:55Speaker 1: Democratic primary, and who knows, he might have had a
- 1:57Speaker 1: much better shot at beating Mom Donnie in the primary.
- 2:02Speaker 1: We know one thing that Cuomo absolutely screwed up in
- 2:05Speaker 1: the primaries. He got killed in both debates. He lost
- 2:08Speaker 1: by a lot in the primary, had nothing to do
- 2:11Speaker 1: with the wrong choice. He lost by a lot in
- 2:13Speaker 1: the popular vote, and because of him, we got Mam
- 2:16Speaker 1: Donni as the Democratic nominee. Maybe Eric Adams could have
- 2:20Speaker 1: stopped him had there been no Cuomo. But and if
- 2:23Speaker 1: Cuomo got out of the race, there is one poll
- 2:25Speaker 1: that came out on Friday. The only poll that at
- 2:29Speaker 1: that time was after the debates that showed Curtis would
- 2:32Speaker 1: do better against mam Donni, then Cuomo would by two
- 2:37Speaker 1: points if it were a two man race. But here's
- 2:39Speaker 1: the latest in this poll. If Curtis were to drop out, now,
- 2:43Speaker 1: Cuomo in the latest poll ten points behind. It's mam
- 2:45Speaker 1: Donni forty four percent Cuomo thirty four percent. So mam
- 2:51Speaker 1: Donni has a ten point lead now in this polling
- 2:54Speaker 1: in all the data to go through it, if Curtis
- 2:56Speaker 1: were to drop out, only thirty six percent of his
- 2:59Speaker 1: vote would go to Cuomo. And they'd surveyed these people
- 3:02Speaker 1: pretty carefully, so out of the Curtis Lee wild vote,
- 3:05Speaker 1: if he dropped out, Cuomo would only get thirty six
- 3:08Speaker 1: percent of that vote, which would give him another four percent.
- 3:13Speaker 1: So what that means is if if Curtis were out
- 3:15Speaker 1: of the race in this poll, it would be mam
- 3:18Speaker 1: Donni forty four percent Cuomo thirty eight percent. So still
- 3:22Speaker 1: not good. The only thing that could change all of
- 3:26Speaker 1: this is massive turnout, and it looks like we're getting
- 3:30Speaker 1: that so far. Turnout in the early voting, which is
- 3:33Speaker 1: now three days. This will be day four. Early voting
- 3:37Speaker 1: is almost five hundred percent above normal above the last
- 3:40Speaker 1: few elections. So if there's massive turnout, that could change things,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and that depends who turns out. It could be you know,
- 3:49Speaker 1: these crazy twenty somethings who love Mom Donni. But pole
- 3:54Speaker 1: watchers are saying it looks like boomers gen xers are dominating.
- 4:00Speaker 1: That's people over fifty and they generally don't go for
- 4:03Speaker 1: Mom Donnie. So in fact, some poll watchers are saying
- 4:07Speaker 1: that they believe sixty six h sixty percent of the
- 4:11Speaker 1: ballots people over fifty, so that could be a help
- 4:14Speaker 1: to Cuomo or Curtis. So we're up to about three
- 4:20Speaker 1: three hundred and fifty thousand voters so far, So if
- 4:24Speaker 1: that continues, we're on track to get record, you know,
- 4:28Speaker 1: close to two million votes, which is extremely high turnout.
- 4:32Speaker 1: That's how Giuliani beat Dinkin's very very high turnout. Republicans
- 4:35Speaker 1: have won five of the last eight mayoral elections, but
- 4:41Speaker 1: it requires extremely high turnout to do it. Now, you
- 4:46Speaker 1: could argue, some will argue, well, you can't count Bloomberg
- 4:48Speaker 1: because he spent something like one hundred million of his
- 4:50Speaker 1: own money for a huge turnout operation. Yeah, maybe, but
- 4:54Speaker 1: Republicans can win. So Mam Donnie caught any huge lie.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Now everybody's waiting to see if this is a big factor.
- 5:03Speaker 1: We don't know how many people are watching this paying
- 5:05Speaker 1: attention to this, how focused there on this incident. But
- 5:09Speaker 1: Mamdanie got caught in a huge lie. He told the
- 5:13Speaker 1: story about his aunt after nine to eleven. She had
- 5:16Speaker 1: problems riding the subway because she wore the Muslim garb
- 5:20Speaker 1: and she would get stairs, and who knows what else
- 5:23Speaker 1: but this poor aunt to his on the subway in
- 5:27Speaker 1: New York right after nine to eleven, How tough it was.
- 5:29Speaker 1: He told this tear jerking story. People checked his aunt
- 5:34Speaker 1: wasn't in New York after nine to eleven. She lived
- 5:37Speaker 1: ten thousand miles away in another continent. She wasn't here.
- 5:42Speaker 1: And then it turns out his aunt never wears a
- 5:45Speaker 1: he job, never wears any Muslim garb, just looks like
- 5:48Speaker 1: anybody else on the subway. So a major, major lie.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Now this was all proven detailed that he out and
- 5:56Speaker 1: out lied about this aunt. He had to confess yesterday.
- 6:00Speaker 1: So he confessed that all of this is true. It
- 6:03Speaker 1: wasn't his aunt. But then he made up a whole
- 6:06Speaker 1: other story. Well, it wasn't his aunt, it was a
- 6:08Speaker 1: very distant cousin of his father. Well who is it,
- 6:14Speaker 1: Well she's dead, So it sounds like a convenient excuse
- 6:19Speaker 1: that there's a very distant relative who's dead. And generally
- 6:23Speaker 1: you know who your aunt is and you don't confuse
- 6:25Speaker 1: them with any very distant relative of your father. So
- 6:29Speaker 1: it's clearly a total out and out lie, absolute lie.
- 6:34Speaker 1: And then this whole thing about the Muslim discrimination having
- 6:39Speaker 1: a problem in being in New York being Muslim, it's
- 6:41Speaker 1: kind of ridiculous. There's a huge Muslim population in New York.
- 6:45Speaker 1: It's eleven percent. The Jewish population is also eleven percent,
- 6:49Speaker 1: so they're pretty much equal. The Jewish population and the
- 6:51Speaker 1: Muslim population are equal. They're both eleven percent. And if
- 6:55Speaker 1: you check with the police, there's no reports of anti
- 6:58Speaker 1: Muslim attacks. But if you check with the police, there's
- 7:02Speaker 1: thousands and thousands of report of anti Jewish, anti Semitic attacks.
- 7:07Speaker 1: I don't have to tell you've heard about millions of them.
- 7:09Speaker 1: There's thousands of incidents of that. No incidents with the
- 7:11Speaker 1: New York City Police of any anti Muslim activity. So
- 7:15Speaker 1: the whole thing is a complete fake, ridiculous issue that
- 7:19Speaker 1: he's been using. Now, Cuomo, he's been looking better. He
- 7:24Speaker 1: was good in the debate, the last debate, he thinks,
- 7:28Speaker 1: and that really just was horrible. In the two primary debates,
- 7:32Speaker 1: first general election debate, he was bad. People think he
- 7:36Speaker 1: got injected in one of those Joe Biden injections to
- 7:38Speaker 1: give him some energy, wake him up. He was pretty
- 7:40Speaker 1: good in the last debate. Again, it's all about turnout.
- 7:46Speaker 3: In the primary. The turnout was totally different than they thought,
- 7:51Speaker 3: much younger, and the younger vote was a much higher percentage,
- 7:56Speaker 3: and that skewed all the polls.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Yeah, now, least public polls are just junk. They're really
- 8:01Speaker 1: flamency poles in private campaigns usually spend a fortune and
- 8:07Speaker 1: get the real serious polling companies to come in and
- 8:09Speaker 1: do of deadly accurate polls. Now Cuomo hasn't done that.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Curtis hasn't done that. We think Mamdani has and people
- 8:15Speaker 1: are noticing he's running a ton of TV ads, a
- 8:19Speaker 1: ton of social media ads, a lot of advertising, a
- 8:21Speaker 1: lot of commercials. They're pretty much not attacking Cuomo in them.
- 8:25Speaker 1: They're about affordability, but they're not Cuomo attack ads. That
- 8:29Speaker 1: would indicate that in his data he's not seeing a
- 8:32Speaker 1: big problem from Cuomo. If Cuomo were really getting close,
- 8:35Speaker 1: you'd see him run attack ads like crazy. So far,
- 8:38Speaker 1: he has not done that. He still keeps talking about
- 8:40Speaker 1: affordability too often.
- 8:41Speaker 4: We think of affordability as a young person's problem of
- 8:43Speaker 4: whether you can build a life here. But there's so
- 8:45Speaker 4: many who are asking themselves whether they can keep a
- 8:47Speaker 4: life here.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Yeah. So and again, if affordability is the problem, if
- 8:54Speaker 1: this is a crisis housing affordability, if it's a disaster
- 8:58Speaker 1: here in New York, well that would be the Democrats
- 9:00Speaker 1: fault because they've controlled every inch of New York government
- 9:03Speaker 1: for fifteen years, Democrat mayor, Democrat governor, Democrat City Council,
- 9:08Speaker 1: Democrat Legislature, both houses. So if affordability is such a crisis,
- 9:12Speaker 1: blame them. If it's that bad, the logical thing to
- 9:15Speaker 1: do would be to switch parties, try somebody else. So
- 9:20Speaker 1: Cuomo keeps he's been campaigning. You know, he took like
- 9:23Speaker 1: ten days off, vanished, but he's out there campaigning again.
- 9:26Speaker 1: I feel it.
- 9:27Speaker 3: I feel it on the street.
- 9:29Speaker 4: I continue to be confident in our campaign as well
- 9:31Speaker 4: as in our outreach to voters above the age of
- 9:34Speaker 4: fifty five. And also, I will not allow myself to
- 9:36Speaker 4: become complacent.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, and you know Curtis. Curtis been campaigning nineteen
- 9:40Speaker 1: hours a day, just one appearance every hour, everywhere. He's
- 9:45Speaker 1: just been in all five boroughs, every neighborhood.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Like it or not, I'm running to the end. That's
- 9:50Speaker 2: what democracy is about. Let people vote. The billionaires, they're
- 9:55Speaker 2: not going to choose the mayor. The inside is. Oh,
- 9:58Speaker 2: the influences are not going to choose the mayor of
- 10:00Speaker 2: the people.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Are Yeah, that's a good Oh, he's right.
- 10:03Speaker 2: New York City is best known as a city that
- 10:05Speaker 2: locks up toothpaste.
- 10:07Speaker 1: It doesn't a lock up criminals. And that's something I'll
- 10:10Speaker 1: do when I get elected mayor on November four. Yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 1: it's ridiculous. Criminals are all let loose thanks to our
- 10:16Speaker 1: da Alvin Bragg, who you can get rid of next Tuesday,
- 10:19Speaker 1: on election day, vote for Maud Mayren the Republican. It's
- 10:22Speaker 1: very important. Get out there and get rid of Alvin Bragg.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Vote for Maud Merren the Republicans, big big, big crime fighter,
- 10:30Speaker 1: long history, and get rid of Alvin Bragg. On Tuesday.
- 10:34Speaker 1: But this whole thing of letting the criminals run loose,
- 10:37Speaker 1: she can shoplift. It's all. You can thank Cuomo for that,
- 10:40Speaker 1: with his no bail, no jail, also with his closing
- 10:43Speaker 1: the prisons. Remember he bragged about how he closed all
- 10:46Speaker 1: the prisons and let everybody out. So here's more of
- 10:50Speaker 1: Mom Donnie.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Together, New York. We're going to freeze the.
- 10:55Speaker 5: Did you get in New York? We're gonna make buses fast.
- 10:58Speaker 1: And right, freeze the rent. He has no authority to
- 11:03Speaker 1: freeze the rent anywhere, make buses free. He has absolutely
- 11:07Speaker 1: no control over the buses. It's run by the MTA,
- 11:09Speaker 1: which is controlled by the governor.
- 11:12Speaker 5: Let our words ring out so loud tonight that Andrew
- 11:15Speaker 5: Cuomo can hear them in his eight thousand dollars a
- 11:17Speaker 5: month apartment. Let them ring so loud that his puppet
- 11:21Speaker 5: master in the White House hears us. New York is
- 11:27Speaker 5: not for sad.
- 11:31Speaker 1: Apparently it is because Mom Donnie took tens of millions
- 11:34Speaker 1: of dollars from all these sorrows types. Nobody had more
- 11:37Speaker 1: funding from billionaires and all sorts of special interests than
- 11:41Speaker 1: Mom Donnie. Did you knowice he took the shot at
- 11:44Speaker 1: CUOMO in Westchester. So the problem Clomo's got a lot
- 11:47Speaker 1: of problems running. He's got terrible track record as governor,
- 11:51Speaker 1: got more baggage than Paris Hilton. And people remember all
- 11:55Speaker 1: these horrible things as governor, from closing Indian Point to
- 12:00Speaker 1: killing all the seniors and the nursing homes, to creating
- 12:03Speaker 1: the crime wave, the no bail, no jail, to all
- 12:05Speaker 1: all this stuff. I won't even read you the whole
- 12:08Speaker 1: list of the long list, not to mention he picked
- 12:10Speaker 1: Kathy Hockl. He's the one that stuck us with Kathy Hockle.
- 12:13Speaker 1: He chose her for us. So it's a terrible track
- 12:16Speaker 1: record as governor. And he's also, as Mom Donnie was
- 12:21Speaker 1: pointing out there, up in Westchester. He's the first mayoral
- 12:25Speaker 1: candidate who doesn't live in New York City, not a
- 12:27Speaker 1: New York City guy. His whole adult life, he's lived
- 12:29Speaker 1: in Westchester. He's been in the suburbs his whole adult life.
- 12:32Speaker 1: We've never seen that before. We had mayors that have
- 12:35Speaker 1: been born somewhere else, but they've always spent their entire
- 12:38Speaker 1: adult life living in New York City. Hey, even Mike Johnson,
- 12:43Speaker 1: Speaker of the House weighing in on the race.
- 12:44Speaker 6: We can't allow a rise of Marxist and far left
- 12:47Speaker 6: activist in one party to shut down the entire operation
- 12:51Speaker 6: of the federal government. And that is exactly what they
- 12:53Speaker 6: are allowing them to do. The Democrats have got to
- 12:56Speaker 6: come their senses. You can endorse communist all you want,
- 13:00Speaker 6: keep the government operating.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yeah, so again Cuomo. Had he not been in the race,
- 13:06Speaker 1: everything might have been different. Eric Adams is a pretty
- 13:08Speaker 1: good campaigner. He might have had a better shot in
- 13:11Speaker 1: the primary and knocked out Mom, Donnie and then Cuomo.
- 13:15Speaker 1: It's all about the campaign. He hasn't been out there.
- 13:18Speaker 1: He hasn't He still hasn't open a campaign office. It
- 13:22Speaker 1: doesn't that much of a staff. He's not a lot
- 13:24Speaker 1: of appearances, not doing much. And he's got this whole
- 13:28Speaker 1: thing about get everybody else out of the race, which
- 13:31Speaker 1: is when you got to do that, you know you're
- 13:33Speaker 1: in trouble. Remember Donald Trump in the primaries, he had
- 13:37Speaker 1: we have fifteen guys running against him. He didn't force
- 13:40Speaker 1: anybody out. The last time we saw that happen was
- 13:43Speaker 1: when Joe Biden was running and he couldn't win. So
- 13:46Speaker 1: to get him the nomination. The Democrats forced everybody out
- 13:49Speaker 1: of the race. Remember the day before South Carolina Elizabeth
- 13:52Speaker 1: Warren Withdrew, Buddha Jedge Withdrew Sanders Withdrew. They ordered everybody
- 13:57Speaker 1: out of the race. That's the only way Biden could win.
- 13:59Speaker 1: So that now they're ordering Curtis out of the race,
- 14:03Speaker 1: which is ridiculous. You know A Cuomo did that when
- 14:05Speaker 1: he ran for governor. When he was running for governor,
- 14:08Speaker 1: David Patterson, very popular, was going to be a candidate
- 14:12Speaker 1: against him, and he couldn't beat Patterson, so they had
- 14:14Speaker 1: the Obama administration get Patterson out of the race, which
- 14:18Speaker 1: they did. I've talked to Patterson. He's confirmed that although
- 14:21Speaker 1: yesterday Patterson endorsed Cuomo, that.
- 14:24Speaker 7: Is clearly advantageous to the former governor, that the senior vote,
- 14:30Speaker 7: which had been dwindling, is coming back almost with love
- 14:36Speaker 7: rhythmatic proportions.
- 14:38Speaker 1: What was that word, love rhythmatic? Well, I see that's
- 14:42Speaker 1: one smart guy. I don't know what the hell that means,
- 14:44Speaker 1: but I guess it has to do with a labyrinth. No,
- 14:47Speaker 1: I don't know algorithm. I don't know what it means.
- 14:49Speaker 1: But Patterson's great, and I've had Patterson had run, I
- 14:53Speaker 1: think we'd all vote for him. He would have been
- 14:55Speaker 1: a much better candidate than Cuomo. So again, we don't
- 15:00Speaker 1: know about these polls. They're not the greatest polls. Anything
- 15:02Speaker 1: could change. Also, don't go by the betting markets, the
- 15:06Speaker 1: poly markets. People look at this betting market. These are
- 15:08Speaker 1: just amateur's betting and it's usually based on the poles.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And one of the reasons those betting markets don't work
- 15:15Speaker 1: very well. And you'll know whatever it says, it doesn't matter.
- 15:18Speaker 1: Let's sare's something else in two days. They just move
- 15:20Speaker 1: up and down and up and down. They don't really
- 15:22Speaker 1: predict anything. Whoever bets the most money moves the market
- 15:27Speaker 1: the most. And like the poly market, there's four big
- 15:30Speaker 1: players who bet so much money that it's whatever these
- 15:33Speaker 1: four guys think that moves it more than anything. Anyway,
- 15:36Speaker 1: we got a lot to get to you, Bill, O'Reilly.
- 15:38Speaker 1: We'll see what he thinks. We'll talk to him in
- 15:39Speaker 1: a couple of minutes. We'll take some calls. Next eight
- 15:41Speaker 1: hundred three two one zero seven ten is the number.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten,
