- 0:01What is this? It's just a filter.
- 0:06I was doing a channel update. Oh, did you update everybody on
- 0:10what's on your face? No, I was trying to hide it with
- 0:12cat whiskers. It didn't work, yeah.
- 0:15Yeah, so I am nursing a cold sore for anyone watching this
- 0:20podcast. He does not.
- 0:21He did not take up meth or any other form of drug use.
- 0:24No I did not. I'm just nursing a cold sore,
- 0:27but I have a feeling it'll be gone here.
- 0:30I mean, I think it's, it's basically gone.
- 0:31It's just a scab now, but it's taking a little while to heal.
- 0:34So anyway, I am excited for it to be gone.
- 0:38Unfortunately, we're going to a place with a lot of sun rays.
- 0:43That's not going to help. Yeah.
- 0:44So I need to be covered with sunscreen, which is kind of
- 0:49funny because when Ashley was borrowing my car for Boat
- 0:53Disciples Challenge 3, her friend, she was giving her
- 0:56friend a ride to like, I don't know, probably go surfing or
- 0:58something. And in the passenger door, I had
- 1:02some sunscreen in there. And her friend pulls it out,
- 1:05looks at it. It had expired in 2014.
- 1:10It was very. Old.
- 1:11So she went ahead and bought me some new sunscreen.
- 1:14And now I can. Find and now I can't find it, so
- 1:16I would. Luckily, we have some more.
- 1:18Yeah, Protect. We got some Protect sunscreen,
- 1:20so that's nice. But why is it going to be good?
- 1:24How you feeling? You're pretty excited to go hunt
- 1:26out there. I am excited.
- 1:28I don't feel ready quite yet. You know, once we do this pot, I
- 1:34got to go fold longer, kind of set everything that I want to
- 1:37bring aside. So I feel like at least that's
- 1:39checked through. I'm going to feel really not
- 1:42ready until I can pack my carry on and my hunting stuff, you
- 1:49know, like that goes in my pack. Then I'll feel like, OK, I have
- 1:54everything to hunt and vacation, so I probably won't feel ready
- 1:57until then, but I am excited. You know, you never, it's never
- 2:02a guarantee in any hunt ever that you're going to get
- 2:05something. But I always like to like at
- 2:07least go in with this mindset that I'm going to not in like a
- 2:13arrogant or just expected way, more of like a determined way.
- 2:18Because then I think you go in with a bit more energy and
- 2:22commitment to succeeding. Because I know there's going to
- 2:26be some steep clothes and some climbs.
- 2:29Yeah. So but I'm just excited.
- 2:32I'm interested to see like, is it going to be glassable or are
- 2:37we just going to like spot goats and go or like, oh, it's too
- 2:42much? It's going to be glassable for
- 2:44sure. I'm never made a bit of Recon on
- 2:46the YouTube. Yeah.
- 2:47Yeah, and we'll watch some. Tonight it's steep though.
- 2:49Now we're watching and Dark Knight Rises.
- 2:51Oh my God. We're working our way through a
- 2:53film series. Don't worry, I got your back,
- 2:55little brother. OK.
- 2:56It'll be. Thanks, Big Brother.
- 2:58So I'm I'm going to try some new binoculars.
- 3:02You're trying new camo? Yeah, new background.
- 3:05This is the first time I'm glassing with these Bushnells
- 3:07too, and this will be the first time you're glassing with these
- 3:09Alpens. Yeah, a lot of new stuff.
- 3:12Before we get into all that though, this podcast right here
- 3:15is sponsored by podiumarcher.com.
- 3:17So if you are do not live close to a local shop or you have beef
- 3:22with the guys at your local shop, you can go shop at
- 3:26podiumarcher.com and use code pump station at checkout to
- 3:30save. Don't use any other code.
- 3:32Just pump station. I hear that's the only one that
- 3:35works. That is actually and you can
- 3:36only make about you could save about 10% of website life almost
- 3:40not entirely, but but yeah, anyway, appreciate that shout
- 3:44out to podiumarcher.com. Back to the show, but but yeah,
- 3:48a lot of new stuff. You're going to be running a new
- 3:50backpack. Yep, new camo.
- 3:53Yep, new binoculars. Are you wearing the harness or
- 3:57you're going to wear? No, I'm going to wear the now
- 3:59that I learned because I'm a retard.
- 4:01I mean, sorry, I'm an idiot. She's Opie.
- 4:05I'm an idiot. I'm not editing, so that's going
- 4:07to be in there. You're right, you're going to
- 4:09get cancelled. I don't me, we're beyond that.
- 4:11Me, I'll be fine. I think we're beyond that now,
- 4:13but anyways that you just take out the pad inside of the bino
- 4:18case to fit the larger. You left your pad in there.
- 4:21I didn't know there was pads in it, so yeah, I was quickly shown
- 4:27that I'm done. So you are going to try the
- 4:29Bush? I'm going to do brought in the
- 4:30the nicer vinyl Bushnell vinyl pack.
- 4:33I do quite enjoy it so far. The one I tried there's out at
- 4:39Pennsylvania tack. The only thing I would love is
- 4:41more like padded shoulder pieces just because it gets weighing
- 4:47down when it's got a curve underneath the, you know,
- 4:53things. So.
- 4:55What are you talking about specifically?
- 4:57Well, like here, you know. We go crash the moon.
- 5:02I'm kidding, I'm not had the thing at all.
- 5:05I'm just dropping the. Front but anyway, so far so far
- 5:07I do enjoy it. So I'm interested to glass with
- 5:10the the new binder range Finder, any range Finder.
- 5:13Yeah, I am excited for what I send the The Broadhead 1 though,
- 5:20just to tinker with it. That'll be really cool.
- 5:23I don't even know all the things it does yet, but.
- 5:26I mean just same thing as mine, it's just it's a new version of
- 5:29what I have my arc. Well, show you like the little
- 5:33broadhead symbol, like when you're looking through the
- 5:36Vinos. I mean the range Finder.
- 5:38That's probably, I would guess like the angle comp or
- 5:40something. But yeah, yeah, it's I've had
- 5:43very good luck with the angle comp in mind.
- 5:46So I love my my bone collector when he taught me.
- 5:49Shut. Yeah, yeah.
- 5:50Shout out. I was with us now.
- 5:51Shout out to what now? I realized even my head lamp.
- 5:55Yeah, your factory. How's it feel to have a personal
- 5:58sponsor? Not really a personal sponsor.
- 6:00It is like, you know, maybe one day it could.
- 6:02Be it is sort of. AI like them and I think they
- 6:04like me so you know like maybe our relationship will grow 1.
- 6:08You are a fun a fun bunch. I mean, you can be nasty when
- 6:12you're out shooting, I think. So don't know I've gotten much
- 6:16much. Oh, you have gotten much.
- 6:18Yeah, every once in a while. Every once in a while Gen.
- 6:21One Brianna will come out. Who be fair?
- 6:23Gen. one Brianna. Pennsylvania was, I think it was
- 6:29acceptable. It was.
- 6:32Yeah, I do. I do.
- 6:33No one. You could say you did it, but no
- 6:37one was like, I agree. That's your stuff.
- 6:41No, no, you didn't. No, you didn't.
- 6:44Yeah, I said I believe you. I just don't know how to fix it.
- 6:47He said that's after I proved it by going to gas and taking the
- 6:51picture I. Said of my.
- 6:52I said that prior to and you know how I know is because we
- 6:55were walking to the restaurant and I was like, hey, do you, you
- 6:58want me to come with you down there?
- 7:00And you said no. So I stayed with Scotty.
- 7:03Well, that's not agreed with me. That's just like, hey.
- 7:06You nobody caught. I remember saying that sentence
- 7:08though, like I said. Well, yeah, hey, I understand
- 7:11your fault. I'm saying I I'm saying I said I
- 7:14I said that I believe you. Well, let's go get a fix.
- 7:18I said that exact same thing. So but but you Jen one Brianna
- 7:22comes out every once in a while and it's nice that the viewers
- 7:25got to see it a little bit isn't I'm.
- 7:27A OK with that, you know that I don't hide anything.
- 7:30There's no fake person on camera like.
- 7:32Super fake. Who it is is who it is.
- 7:35You know I'll be who I'm gonna be.
- 7:37Am I? I'm pretty.
- 7:39I'm pretty fake. No, I think everybody can agree
- 7:43once they've met you that this is you on and off the camera.
- 7:51But anyway, I I thought that so I watched the video.
- 7:57Obviously like a lot of times I don't watch the videos after I
- 8:00finished. Do you preface which video?
- 8:01Or who big into it? Oh, OK.
- 8:04Is it part 1-2 playoffs? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 8:07So you wanted to watch Brittany's, not mine.
- 8:09And I said, well, if we're going to watch that when we hit the
- 8:11watch Part 1. So we watched my, I guess.
- 8:13So we watched, we watched them both.
- 8:19Both are great. It is kind of funny.
- 8:22I was talking to Scott about it. I was like, really?
- 8:24The outcome was fairly predictable that it would be me
- 8:28and him last. The only one that was
- 8:31questionable was Joey and Brittany, but that could have
- 8:36gone either. Way.
- 8:37To be honest, I thought all three of you could go either.
- 8:39Way if I had my equipment, yeah, like checked before, like that
- 8:43afternoon, like I should have and done the work prior to going
- 8:48out to loophole that morning, it could have gone either way with
- 8:52all three of us every single round.
- 8:55But the top 2 I think is pretty predictable would usually be
- 8:58there's a a significant difference in US three.
- 9:01And well, I'll tell you what though.
- 9:02The fun part about the playoff concept though, is that even
- 9:05Scott or me could farm one. And then if we farm 1, you only
- 9:09have 6 targets. Well, and not just that, you
- 9:11never know what targets coming up next.
- 9:13So like, it could be a target you just generally suck at, it
- 9:16could be a target that we're better at that you're not like,
- 9:20you know, guaranteed 12 that Yeah, only if you're.
- 9:22Guaranteed 12. Also, like, you know the what I
- 9:26really love about the playoff concept in like 5 or 6 targets
- 9:29slate wipes clean, 5 or 6 slate wipes clean.
- 9:32Someone gets ejected every time is 1.
- 9:35Anyone could have a bad six target stretch, but also anyone
- 9:40someone who's not even good could have a ring or 6 target
- 9:42stretch. So like you literally it
- 9:45doesn't. Yeah, I mean, in this case it
- 9:49worked where B and Scott did make it to the end, you know,
- 9:52but it it easily could have been different.
- 9:55We could have got booted early. So that's why I love it.
- 9:57And I think when we go to skipping ahead a little bit, but
- 10:01I think after the hunt, when we go to Montana TAC, I really want
- 10:06to do that video again. I think.
- 10:08So what we would need to do is add maybe a person that day for
- 10:14like an afternoon or something. So we have 5.
- 10:17It would work with four, but I think it's it's a better video
- 10:20of five. So I think we'll try to add.
- 10:22Yeah, that would be 5 targets each for a 25 target course.
- 10:26With five. Yeah, five 10/15/2025 are they
- 10:3125 usually 25 or 15 target? Well, we had five in on Neupold
- 10:37and it was every six targets, someone that moved it, and then,
- 10:42and then the last round is 7 because you're really only
- 10:45booting three. Yeah, it's every six shots.
- 10:49You got to remember you're not booting the person who wins
- 10:52ever, or the guy in second really.
- 10:55They do the whole thing. So you're only actually booted
- 10:57in three people and then the two in the final.
- 10:59Because that would leave only the last person for the last. 5
- 11:02correct. So basically if we do it again
- 11:03in Montana, if we can add a fifth person and be the same
- 11:06thing, yeah, 666 and then the final seven, sure, we should do
- 11:11that. It's fun and our crew is going
- 11:12to be great. So here's the question.
- 11:14The group this time is going to be me, you, Rebecca, Joey.
- 11:20And then let's let's say the 5th is just someone who we maybe
- 11:23have never filmed with or something.
- 11:26Out of those four, where who do you think could be like?
- 11:32Do you think you'll? I don't think you're getting
- 11:34booted first again. I don't think so.
- 11:36I think I'm going to come with my stuff dialed this time.
- 11:39My site's going to come off in the flight for sure this time.
- 11:43And then I'm going to check at the practice range.
- 11:47Please, Jesus, let this practice range not be uphill.
- 11:49But it's, it's gonna be uphill, but I'm gonna check my stuff
- 11:54beforehand. I'm even gonna go to a booth to
- 11:57have my axes checked before I start shooting.
- 12:01That's how much I'm gonna make sure that I can.
- 12:04I think that's a risk. I think Petit, I think that's a
- 12:06bit of a risky play though, because let's say you get it set
- 12:10at bow and arrow shop and they have you dialed and then you
- 12:13show up somewhere else and it says it's not dialed.
- 12:15But what if their equipment doesn't match each other?
- 12:17That's true really. You are dialed.
- 12:19Well, I'm going to make that decision at that point based on
- 12:21what I see, but theory is. That's why I'd maybe shoot first
- 12:25though, yeah, Because if it's dialed, you're hit the ship
- 12:27good, Then it's like, why? Yeah, the theory would be that
- 12:30like if it's dialed before I leave and I take my site off and
- 12:33mount it back on the same way, nothing should change.
- 12:37So I I could just confirm that by putting it.
- 12:41And it's not like you move anything to check it.
- 12:44You just put it in the vice and throw a level on it.
- 12:49We watched Lilo and Stitch. Anyways, but before we move on
- 12:56another game I want to play, but we have to put one.
- 13:00It's not really a handicap. It's just a blanket rule for
- 13:03everybody because although it'd be a little tricky, well, not
- 13:07really like you just got to do what you got to do with your two
- 13:11pin. You got a 20 and in theory what
- 13:13about is your second pin I? Can send it to anything I want.
- 13:16Well, no, no, if you don't move it just 20.
- 13:18And what about? What I'm saying like I could not
- 13:20move it but start it at like 40 and.
- 13:22No, no, say don't do that. Say you put your first pin at
- 13:2520. The dead stop.
- 13:27Yeah. So I'd be like 20 and 40.
- 13:30OK. So I want to play kind of like
- 13:33what Jeff did. It's just gap pins.
- 13:36Maybe I'll have maybe I'll have a 5 pin in my just for that in
- 13:40my backpack for that, but. Well, yeah, but the rule will be
- 13:43is you can only shoot you like 203040.
- 13:46That's all you get. You stack above and below that.
- 13:49So like even if you've got a 5 pincer, you can't just use your
- 13:52bottom. Pinching on a system so.
- 13:54Everybody else has that. Offer.
- 13:55Yeah, but that's their fault for equipment choice.
- 13:57I guess technically it's not because like I could just slide
- 14:01my bottom pin to 60 and then still gap.
- 14:03I could run it 8 pin friggin fixed side.
- 14:06Of no, no, no, no, no. Everybody's had the same rule.
- 14:10But everyone runs different stuff.
- 14:11That's like the whole thing. No, no, the whole thing is like
- 14:16who's a better pin gapper and pin stacker?
- 14:20Yes, but it's like you can't really do that nowadays because
- 14:22all the sites are so much different.
- 14:24Like back in the day when we all shot 5 pin sliders.
- 14:26Like that's how we shot. Sure you could if you have 3
- 14:30pins. But I only have two and what if
- 14:33someone else only has one that you can do that test?
- 14:35Well, we'll see what everyone's thought.
- 14:38We'll check sites and see if everybody can play it.
- 14:41But that I won't play that because that is we're talking
- 14:43about like so much of the time, you know, we get used to in 3D,
- 14:50like moving to our exact yardage.
- 14:52And I haven't done around in forever or or even at the range
- 14:58where I just pinned gap or pinned a stack.
- 15:02And I want me to practice that again more.
- 15:06And two, I think it would be fun to see if you know somebody's
- 15:11better or worse that. Yep.
- 15:15I, I don't know. I think it's, I think it's fine.
- 15:17Sure. Oh, sure.
- 15:18Oh, sure, sure. This is probably the latest
- 15:20we've ever recorded a podcast. It for sure is and I kind of
- 15:23like it because it's a little granted, the fan says 81 it here
- 15:27right now it's not calm, but it doesn't quite feel like 80 I
- 15:30mean it's. 8:40. We still have to make thinner.
- 15:33We got to make dinner. We got to finish, start my
- 15:35prizes, do laundry. Kind of pack it at least.
- 15:39Like lay it out ready to pack it.
- 15:42So anyway, we watched Lilo and Stitch, and as a kid that was a
- 15:47movie I watched on loop. On loop, right?
- 15:51Yeah. What did you think of the film?
- 15:53It was phenomenal. It really, and I'm going to say
- 15:56the reason why because I questioned this, I told you this
- 15:59before when watch this. So they're going to have to cast
- 16:01an older, like change the script a little.
- 16:03They're going to have to cast an older Lilo like there's no way
- 16:06they're finding a 5-6 year old child who can play Lilo.
- 16:12They found the perfect Lilo on and off camera the world.
- 16:14I've watched some interviews with her bonkers ADHD to the Max
- 16:20off the wall just like Lilo. So they they nailed that right
- 16:26there. And then all these those other
- 16:30not I think the only like, and I could be wrong.
- 16:33You can comment if there's someone famous in there I didn't
- 16:35recognize. But the only other like 1 and
- 16:38didn't even have like a main main role was Zach Galifianakis.
- 16:42The rest of them were like, I would call them B listers, but
- 16:49like not names like you see in not a list movies all the time.
- 16:53Definitely. So you could have, you know,
- 16:57worried a little that it was going to be semi flop but not
- 17:01great actors. But that is not.
- 17:03God was very good. Yeah, the saddest part when
- 17:06what's going the water, it's like.
- 17:09Oh yeah, yeah, you know I you know I am.
- 17:12I'm a big SAP in tears though. I cried like 3 or 4 times.
- 17:16Oh my God, I don't know if I actually cried at all during the
- 17:19movie, but that was just the sweetest, saddest little moment.
- 17:23No, let's talk a little bit about we haven't finished it, so
- 17:29we can't like give your final rating.
- 17:31But with an hour left of the third film of the trilogy, Dark
- 17:36Knight Rises trilogy. So you got Batman Begins, Dark
- 17:40Knight, Dark Knight Rises. As of now, without finishing the
- 17:44third film, how would you rank the films?
- 17:48I'd probably go as most people do in series movies.
- 17:52I'd go number 11, number 22, number 33, and the only reason 3
- 17:57is, is third. It could have gone either way is
- 18:01I just can't for the life of me understand Bane.
- 18:05Even if I were in a friggin locked tight airtight silent
- 18:10room, I don't think I could understand him through that
- 18:13mask. Do you feel in charge?
- 18:17Pretty. Good, that was a hard line when
- 18:20he said that they. Got a deep in it, like 10 more
- 18:22octaves. Well, they because the guy says
- 18:24he goes like let's he say he goes, well, I'm the one in
- 18:27charge. You need to get out of here.
- 18:29And he goes. Do you feel in charge?
- 18:33That was your grip? Yeah, the.
- 18:36Other one but so OK, interesting almost everybody and I guarantee
- 18:40in the comments. Yeah, and they use.
- 18:41Everybody going to say the second one?
- 18:45But I I wonder if that was. My question is why do you rank
- 18:49the second one below the first one?
- 18:51Because almost every. That's going to be a hot take.
- 18:54It's going to be a very hot take.
- 18:56Yeah, I think it just for me, it stuck to a bit more of like I
- 19:07could feel the comic book vibe and and that's what Batman is.
- 19:11It's a comic on the first one. On the first one, even though I
- 19:16didn't know until I looked at the cast like why he was called
- 19:19the Scare, because that's part of the comic book is he's the
- 19:22stare price of why is he wearing this bag over his, you know, air
- 19:28gas mask? But then I got it.
- 19:32But like, it was a little, I don't want to use the word
- 19:35cheesy, but like, that's, that's what I could come up with right
- 19:40now. Like in a sense of like I could
- 19:41understand the comic book feel behind it and like everything
- 19:47was understandable as I even if you hadn't watched the Batman
- 19:52series and didn't know that Scarecrow was Scarecrow and
- 19:55whatnot, the second one starts to get a bit more real, like
- 20:01like just a movie not based on a comic.
- 20:04Even with Joker. Yeah, even with Joker, like
- 20:07really looking like the Joker. It was just like it was a movie,
- 20:15which is great. You know what?
- 20:18Top rated movie but the first one just screams Batman to me.
- 20:24I mean it's really good. Don't know how I get.
- 20:26The third one, not just the Bane can't understand his voice thing
- 20:30but also like within the 1st 2 minutes of the movie, which
- 20:34again they do this stuff on purpose.
- 20:36So you're like what's going on? You keep watching.
- 20:39I was lost. The intro is pretty epic, so
- 20:42why? Were they jumping into an
- 20:43airplane and transferring blood into this man?
- 20:46All makes sense at the end when they're like this guy died in a
- 20:48plane no he didn't like. Well, you know, you know, what
- 20:51was actually really crazy is because again, I think it's only
- 20:56the second time I've ever seen the movie.
- 20:57I can't wait to watch the end after this.
- 20:59But like that part where Batman, you know, he has Catwoman bring
- 21:06him down to meet Bane. And then he walks through the
- 21:09fence and and she like shuts it on him and he's like, oh, that
- 21:12was a mistake. And then you hear bang from the
- 21:14back up, but not as big as yours.
- 21:18And then like he beats the shit out of them.
- 21:20And then when they hit the bomb and they show that they're right
- 21:24underneath all this stuff, it was like, oh man, you know, that
- 21:29part was crazy. So I'm very interested to see
- 21:33what happens next because it's looking like you can't recover
- 21:36for this. Yeah, And maybe I I missed a
- 21:39portion that made it understandable in more places
- 21:43than I was lost. But like this environmental plan
- 21:48thing just kind of comes out of like left field because you're
- 21:51left at the end where he just runs off.
- 21:53He's evading police and then we're boom, eight years later
- 21:57where he's like got a limp and every, you know, thing in his
- 22:01body is wrong or sickly or or whatever.
- 22:06Which, OK, yeah, I guess it makes sense.
- 22:07But like, doing pretty OK at the end of the last movie.
- 22:13So how did we get to, like, Nina?
- 22:15A cane and being a cripple? I don't, I don't know.
- 22:21He was only Batman for like less than a year.
- 22:25Now all of a sudden he's a cripple.
- 22:28And then on top of that, like, boom, they're like going back
- 22:32and forth about this environmental plan.
- 22:33Like what environmental plan are we talking about?
- 22:38Yeah, that thing like, I mean, yeah.
- 22:41I don't learn about it till you learn about this nuclear thing
- 22:44down there and why she's so eager to use Bane.
- 22:46But it was our Batman AK Wayne Enterprises.
- 22:51But like there's just no, there's not enough back story to
- 22:56understand what's going on. You're just like constantly
- 22:58playing catch up, which I think they planned that way.
- 23:03But nonetheless, for me, it's it was a little too much for me to
- 23:07be like, Oh, I'm freaking lost. I'm done.
- 23:10But we'll see how the next hour goes.
- 23:11I still think she's a bad person.
- 23:14When they showed that little clip about the the kid, I think
- 23:17it was the only one to like climb out of.
- 23:20I think it's her. You don't think it's Bing?
- 23:23I think. It's girl.
- 23:24Wow, wouldn't that be something? OK, well a lot of good takes.
- 23:30Can't wait to finish the movie. What would you say you are most
- 23:36excited for in Hawaii? Dogs.
- 23:40That's your number one. Yeah.
- 23:42I'm excited. Though maybe you know if a pink
- 23:44comes by, actually they can be and she goes year round too.
- 23:47But goats for sure. So it's.
- 23:50Just getting after it. Yeah, yeah, I know you love.
- 23:53Like, you know, the beach and the water.
- 23:57Well, you know. You already know what I'm
- 23:58breakfast. You already know what I'm most
- 24:00excited. Yeah, you already know your pork
- 24:02chop breakfast chop sandwiches. Can't wait.
- 24:05Is it not a pork chop? Actually, it's a pork shoulder
- 24:08steak. Oh, so I.
- 24:10Hope you remember which restaurant this.
- 24:11Is. I remember what it looked like
- 24:14and the. One that was kind of like the
- 24:15shopping plot. It's in like a mall, but it's
- 24:17like upstairs. OK, Yeah.
- 24:20So you went once for yourself and then we went.
- 24:22Yeah, it was one of the few places that like opened it like
- 24:24kind of early, I remember and I think that's where I went.
- 24:27I could find it. It might take me a little bit,
- 24:29but I will find it. I will return.
- 24:31We'll. Drive up and down.
- 24:34We'll probably talk from our ice because we're staying close.
- 24:36That's nice. I'm excited about that.
- 24:39And just life, it's more life, you know, I'm, I'm excited for
- 24:43life. That's excellent.
- 24:45Yeah, what? Why don't you talk about you're,
- 24:49you're about to start something pretty exciting.
- 24:52Maybe I could sponsor this episode also.
- 24:54So what? Tell tell me what you're doing.
- 24:57So we're going to launch and maybe we'll do another pod after
- 25:01this will be a little shorter while going to more detail and
- 25:04whatnot, so we can have one solely focused on it.
- 25:07But we're going to launch a website here soon.
- 25:12You know, obviously in the Navy I did public affairs, which also
- 25:17encompasses social media and, and brand and image and, and
- 25:22what not. And then for you, I've done
- 25:26similar for the last almost four years.
- 25:31And so really it's going to be like a soul enterprise until I
- 25:35decide to make an LLC helping brands build their brands.
- 25:41Right now I'm going to focus it on just helping people improve
- 25:46their digital media. So that's things like doing
- 25:49thumbnails for people, editing their photos for them, you know,
- 25:55whether it's put together in a campaign series or whatnot that
- 25:59they can, you know, post or launch or what not.
- 26:02Graphics for their social media, their websites, things like
- 26:06that. Flyers for, you know, businesses
- 26:10if they want all of that fun stuff basically.
- 26:15And you're kind of going to just it's, there's not going to be
- 26:18like set clans or anything like that.
- 26:22You know, I'll have like 1 off prices for people if they just
- 26:25want like a single thumbnail or a pack of photos, I did it or
- 26:28whatnot. But primarily the best way will
- 26:31be to contact so I can see what it is you want and then I can,
- 26:35you know, price based on that. Or people can do retainers if
- 26:38they want. But I've done it for so long now
- 26:42between you and the Navy that it's like, why not do it for
- 26:45everybody? You know, I always look at stuff
- 26:49and I'm like, oh, that could be better.
- 26:51And you're like, I like this and I'm like, well, let me just do
- 26:55it for you. So I think I will find it
- 26:58exciting to do a lot for, for others as well.
- 27:04And hopefully that'll turn into a point where that's basically,
- 27:08you know, my, my full time job. Yeah, I mean, I, I certainly
- 27:15think you have the the, the wherewithal and talent to do it.
- 27:19You may want to use AI every once in a while.
- 27:22Do a little proofreading on stuff you do.
- 27:25What's so funny is it's because I'm sending it to you that I'm
- 27:28just like, put a word vomit and throw it to you in an e-mail
- 27:32because I know you'll, you'll, you want to.
- 27:34Suck. Around touch on this and
- 27:36whatnot, but like in the I've written.
- 27:42I know I'm pulling your legs. Oh my God.
- 27:44So much like picturing press releases, briefing artful
- 27:48campaigns, communications plans, actual stories.
- 27:54No, I I was pulling. Your legs and we have this thing
- 27:57called ghost ghost emailing. So if you don't know what that
- 28:00is like, I write the e-mail for you and then I just forward it
- 28:04to you and you bit send. We do it a lot for for
- 28:07leadership so they don't have to take the time to write their own
- 28:10emails, which is wild. Someone else most of the time
- 28:14wrote it for them, which is what I do for you.
- 28:17And I go to your e-mail told me I'm just like, here you go
- 28:22nowhere near what if I had turned whatever I turned into
- 28:25you to like the commander, They'd be like, no, just go back
- 28:31and try again. Yeah.
- 28:33I mean you're, I think that you'll do really well.
- 28:37I think you've certainly helped you know myself a lot, you know,
- 28:48because you are very good. I think at kind of I would say
- 28:54almost like maybe brand management slash like yeah, I'd
- 29:00say brand management if I had to really title it.
- 29:02You're really good at that and that encompasses a lot of
- 29:06things. Whereas like I am OK at that,
- 29:11but I'm really good at like ideas, banging out a lot of
- 29:17stuff, doing a lot of filming, do a lot of editing, doing like
- 29:22I'm good at like producing stuff at like a rapid pace and then
- 29:27you're really good at. Like a fine touch.
- 29:29Exactly. Yeah.
- 29:30You're good at like because a lot of times I'll have an idea
- 29:34where I want to do something and I'll say, hey, I want to make
- 29:38these golf target faces and I want to sell them on the
- 29:42website. And then I'll just tell you
- 29:44that, which is a great idea. And then I'll say I kind of want
- 29:48it to look like this. And then you'll work on it, kind
- 29:52of come up with the concept and then say how's this?
- 29:55And I'll go, it was really close, but I want to change
- 29:57blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. You'll change that and then
- 30:00boom, eventually we get to where I'm like, OK, great, you're
- 30:04happy with it and then order them and like you help with all
- 30:07that stuff, the ordering, setting up accounts, like all
- 30:11sorts of different shit. So whoever is going to hire you
- 30:13early, whoever hires you early is going to get a great price.
- 30:18Not as good for sure, because you know, I have a ball.
- 30:20Base not as good as me, but not as good a price as me, but I
- 30:24mean they'll be getting a bargain because you're really
- 30:26good at what you do and I I'm excited because I think it's a
- 30:29good opportunity for you and I mean will you maybe you know I
- 30:33mean you're still on the job hunt.
- 30:34You could find just a regular ass job yeah that'd be great
- 30:38too. You know you're really good at
- 30:40that as well. But I think that this is great
- 30:43for you to do, so I hope someone watching sees a a niche and
- 30:48gives it a shot and they they I know that you'll do your best to
- 30:51deliver. Sounded really a niche.
- 30:53I mean, these companies exist out there already.
- 30:55It's just, you know, you pay an arm and a leg for something that
- 30:59like, I'm not going to friggin take someone's kidney for the
- 31:03work that I'm doing. But like you got a fiber.
- 31:08And take the. Kidneys and go to fiber and like
- 31:11you want a logo made and at the end they're like, OK, what you
- 31:14described would be about $1000 and it's like, ha, so it's just
- 31:21bonkers. But yeah, that, I mean, at the
- 31:24end of the day, what I do for you on top of all that stuff is,
- 31:27you know, brand management or brand image, you know, and
- 31:36again, they're also companies that do that.
- 31:40I just happen to be able to do both for you because we are
- 31:43together all the time. But one day, could I take it
- 31:46there? I would absolutely love to, you
- 31:48know, where I, I can help people speak to sponsors as a liaison,
- 31:53as a middleman, as their contract person, you know, which
- 31:57is something like what? Well, you were great on that for
- 32:01for you and all the stuff you're describing.
- 32:03I can vouch for that you're really good at and I've kind of
- 32:07got to watch the promote the escalation of you getting better
- 32:13at all those things too. So like you're pretty polished
- 32:16now because you know, we've been working at getting better
- 32:19through our through the whole ship of both.
- 32:23You know, I'm sure with the Navy too, but with a boat Disciples
- 32:26brand. I mean, really, when you was
- 32:29dealt with me, it was nothing really.
- 32:31I mean, it was something, but like, no, not polished really at
- 32:35all. And then like you weren't very
- 32:37polished at trying to help. I wasn't super polished.
- 32:40We didn't have an audience yet. But over time I got better at
- 32:44what I was doing. The audience grew.
- 32:46You got better at what you were trying to do.
- 32:48And now it's like pretty, pretty well oiled thing, you know.
- 32:51So whoever, like I said, I, I'm sounding like a salesman here,
- 32:55but like they're going to be getting a pretty polished thing
- 33:00because you've done it and you've proven it at what we got.
- 33:02I mean, we got the, you know, the plaque right there, a bunch
- 33:06of sponsors that I didn't have, not to say I wouldn't have that
- 33:09stuff without, but. To convincing you, it's just.
- 33:13Different. You know what I mean?
- 33:14I. Speak to sponsors even, and some
- 33:16people don't know. Well, really I.
- 33:17Don't want to like you didn't. I'm really glad that I.
- 33:21Finally jumped on this. No, I'm glad that I held out as
- 33:24long as I did. Oh yeah.
- 33:26So important that. For sure too.
- 33:27I think there's a a fine line you can.
- 33:30Make an argument I could have held out one more year.
- 33:32I think you can make that argument, but I'm really happy
- 33:37and, and the main thing is like every sponsor that I have and we
- 33:40actually have a couple new ones that we're going to be
- 33:42announcing soon. But like I'm, I really like all
- 33:47of them, you know, and like I so I'm not doing them just for like
- 33:52some, you know, like selfish reasons.
- 33:55I actually like, you know, someone buys a Kawasaki, I think
- 33:58it's a good purchase for that. You know what I mean?
- 34:01Like I really do believe that. Same with a bow tech.
- 34:04I mean, what better proof you need that I shot them for 20
- 34:08years, you know what I mean? So I think it's like good and I
- 34:10could say that same thing you go down the line.
- 34:12I could say it about all of them.
- 34:14You know, sure I haven't shot beast or nose buttons for near
- 34:18as long as any of my other stuff, but go watch my videos.
- 34:22Stuff they happened in, they happened in different.
- 34:25Ways and that one just so happened to happen where you met
- 34:30the person first, which is uncommon for your current
- 34:33sponsors. But you really enjoyed the
- 34:37person that runs the business and their ideology and their
- 34:42mindset and their helpfulness. And sometimes that's all it
- 34:47takes to to try something out. And that's exactly how it
- 34:50worked. Like you didn't even start by
- 34:52being like, OK, let's do a deal. He was like, let me send you
- 34:55some broadheads first and you try them out.
- 34:57And I think what you did first was your Coos before you had a
- 35:00contract, you were just trying out the the product.
- 35:03I think a peckery as well, maybe, yeah, But yeah, Peckery.
- 35:06And you shot a peckery with 1A beast, actually, Yeah, you shot
- 35:09a peckery with Beast as well. Yeah, that one, that was Shaggy.
- 35:14Yeah, I'll see Sheriff Hacker with the with the beast.
- 35:16And but yeah, I mean, I all that to say, I'm really proud of you
- 35:22and I think that you'll do great whether or not you get a job in
- 35:28more of a traditional sense or grow this business.
- 35:30I think either one you're going to crush it at.
- 35:33So I'm, I'm scoped to see where it goes and obviously I'll throw
- 35:37my clout behind it, you know, the most I can, you know, but
- 35:46it's going to be a fun, a fun. Everything we're doing is fun
- 35:49right now. You know, I am tuckered.
- 35:52I'm tuckered. I mean, you saw me yesterday.
- 35:56I was like, yo, I'm, I'm, I'm smoked.
- 36:00I had to lay down, take a little nap, you know, but.
- 36:03Well, luckily you'll get a six hour flight tomorrow to nap.
- 36:06But I love what we're doing. I mean, everything we're doing
- 36:08is fun. Yes, it's tiring at times, but I
- 36:11wouldn't want to do anything else.
- 36:12I mean, it's we're having fun making cool content, making cool
- 36:17relationships, meeting tons of people, getting to explore the
- 36:22country and even the world in some cases, and it's just been a
- 36:26fun ride. So let's keep it going.
- 36:29And if you guys want to inquire with Brianna and for whatever
- 36:33reason, the websites not up there because the you know, it's
- 36:36in process, you can always just DM her on Instagram.
- 36:40In the meantime, get something going and and she'll get you
- 36:45squared away. Yeah, for sure.
- 36:48And the next Comcast pick we'll be watching after this, you
- 36:51know, you'll get to see how we feel about Hawaii because we'll
- 36:54probably be mid trip out there. Yeah, sitting on the side of a
- 36:58mountain somewhere, finding shade.
- 36:59Or or maybe on the beach? I would love to do one on the
- 37:02beach. Yeah.
- 37:04That would be fun. Or the mountain.
- 37:07Or both if you. Well, maybe both.
- 37:08Yeah, but the beach is so cool. It's avant-garde.
- 37:12So it's the side of a mountain? Well, both are avant-garde.
- 37:15We actually did a mountain pod in South Africa that was on a
- 37:18mountain. Yeah.
- 37:20It was literally on a mountain. Like real guys like sitting in
- 37:25chairs or something, like in the lawn.
- 37:27No, we like took chairs to the top of a mountain and just like
- 37:33filmed with the craziest. Yeah.
- 37:34But did you like, you know, take a vehicle up there to the top?
- 37:38We drove him up with a Kubota, but you can't sell.
- 37:40That's enough fun. I actually got a pretty cool, a
- 37:47pretty cool story. Maybe we'll close with this.
- 37:50So Travis, the guy who filmed with me in South Africa outdoors
- 37:56is Travis because I want to shoot him a follow on Instagram
- 37:59and YouTube. So a lot of people watch the
- 38:03videos that him and I did. Well, I was out there obviously,
- 38:08and a few of them went like got a lot of views, you know what I
- 38:11mean? Anyway, Ty Jordan drew a very
- 38:18good deer tag in Utah. I won't stay with you, but I
- 38:21don't want to oust them. But really good unit, right?
- 38:25He saw the footage that we filmed in Africa.
- 38:28It was this What's Coming called up.
- 38:32Is it happened to the public yet?
- 38:33Because it seems like they're keeping it hush hush.
- 38:35Yeah, they've been yapping all about it.
- 38:38Yeah, and all about it. I saw the one that said like
- 38:40we're getting together for vid but it's not in South Africa
- 38:44this time. Well, I'm just going to blow
- 38:47their story. If that's the truth, then they
- 38:48won't. They're they they.
- 38:50But anyway, so Ty hits up Travis because he had seen the footage
- 38:54and was like, Yo, I want this guy to come come film for me.
- 38:57Yeah. So Ty actually hired Travis to
- 39:01come film his hunt with them, do you?
- 39:03Account for his flight across the world.
- 39:06I don't know all the details, but I just think it's really
- 39:08cool because those are two guys that I really like both of them,
- 39:11and I think it's really cool. That is cool.
- 39:14That's the power of social media and building connections.
- 39:18Because I knew both of them a little bit, right?
- 39:22And I'm not sure. Ty probably reached out to
- 39:25Travis maybe. And then, you know, anyway, a
- 39:31conversation was sparked from videos that we did.
- 39:33And then I think US knowing each other, like me being in the
- 39:36triangle helped to facilitate it.
- 39:38And that's why I know social media gets a horrible rap
- 39:41sometimes, which I, I think it's changed some.
- 39:43I don't really think that so much anymore, but it's beautiful
- 39:47in a lot of ways because those two guys wouldn't have got
- 39:49connected if it wasn't for social media.
- 39:52And much like me and a lot of my friendships like almost entirely
- 39:56started from social media. So pretty cool, pretty cool and
- 40:00if you guys didn't want to tell everyone that I'm sorry, but
- 40:02they would have found out anyways the hunts in August I
- 40:05think so it's like it's pretty soon but but the battery is
- 40:09dying. I see it flashing Oh.
- 40:12Better end it now. Thank you very much.
- 40:14Let's. Go like some dinner.
