- 0:22From Capitol Halls to Bourbon Balls, this is the City of Frankfurt Podcast.
- 0:26For the Frankfurtians, we're swapping stories, spilling tea,
- 0:29and celebrating the quirks that make Kentucky's capital city the best hometown around.
- 0:33Welcome to the City of Frankfurt Podcast. I'm Kenton, and today we're joined
- 0:37by our Frankfurt Tourism Director, Randy Newcomb.
- 0:40If you live in Frankfurt, there's a pretty good chance that you've done this.
- 0:43You drive past the capital and barely look up.
- 0:45You drive over the river and only think about the traffic. You walk downtown
- 0:49and hardly register all the new businesses because when you spend enough time
- 0:53in a place, you stop noticing the things that make it special.
- 0:56But then you run into a visitor from out of town and they can't stop complimenting
- 1:00Frankfurt and all it has to offer.
- 1:02Well, today we're going to take a step outside and view Frankfurt through the
- 1:07eyes of an outsider, and talk about what makes Frankfurt such a special place
- 1:12to live, work, and visit.
- 1:14Randy, welcome to the pod. Thank you. Glad to be here.
- 1:18Glad to have you, Randy. I cannot wait to get into this. So,
- 1:21Randy, let's talk about your background. How long have you been in tourism,
- 1:25and what brought you to Frankfurt?
- 1:26So, I started in tourism in 1995.
- 1:30So, I'm in my, I guess, 31st year in the industry i started as director i started
- 1:37in tourism at kentucky lake oh i spent over yeah spent over 20 years there and then uh,
- 1:44went to gillsburg illinois for five years,
- 1:47and then i was informed about,
- 1:49frankfurt needing someone and uh.
- 1:53It was time for me to get back home to kentucky and so i'm in frankfurt now
- 1:56loving it been here a year and,
- 1:59a year and a week that's awesome weeks yeah we're glad to have you back in the
- 2:03state of kentucky especially here frankfurt with us um so,
- 2:09let's kind of get into some things here so what do visitors see when they come
- 2:13to frankfurt that maybe those of us who live here don't see anymore like what
- 2:17are some things that we who are here all the time overlook and people who are
- 2:21coming in to visit well just from a.
- 2:25Visitor standpoint coming into frankfurt uh we don't pay attention to the hills
- 2:30anymore the rolling hills we don't pay attention to the river uh all the great
- 2:35architecture and historic,
- 2:37historic historic homes in our quaint downtown it's just something uh we take
- 2:43for granted because we live here and that's something that visitors when they
- 2:46come in they always remark about it,
- 2:49and from a visitors they don't simply arrive in frankfurt they discover it which
- 2:54is something we need to start doing again is discovering frankfurt i like that man,
- 3:00very very good answer i love that i like the way i like the way you put that
- 3:03we got to start rediscovering this great city of frankfurt but in frankfurt
- 3:09it's no different than any other city every city all the citizens in those cities they're the same,
- 3:15when i was at kentucky lake yeah we took the lake for granted but when we had
- 3:19visitors come to the lake they loved it,
- 3:21same with frankfurt we just we We just have to get back out and rediscover.
- 3:25I like that. What a great perspective that is.
- 3:29Is there like a particular reaction you hear from visitors over and over?
- 3:33Like, is there like a common theme that people say? Yes, we have one that's
- 3:37positive and one that can be negative, but it's not really.
- 3:42The positive, everyone is very impressed with our quaint downtown.
- 3:46They love our downtown, all the aspects of it, all the art, all the history.
- 3:52St. Clair's all the shops they love our downtown and about every visitor will
- 3:57remark about our downtown and,
- 4:00Second most we get is that they can't believe we're the capital of Kentucky.
- 4:06They expect it to be a larger place, of course. And that's something we're working on.
- 4:12Being the capital is very important. Yeah. And it's not something we should
- 4:17100% focus our marketing on, but we've got to mention it. So in our upcoming,
- 4:22advertising, we're going to remind people that we are the capital.
- 4:26Yeah. And so hopefully in the future, they will know we're the capital when
- 4:30they get here. Yeah. But it's always surprising when a visitor walks in and
- 4:33is like, this is a beautiful downtown. We had no idea you were the capital.
- 4:36Really? But that's one of the things I think is kind of cool about Frankfurt
- 4:40is that you do kind of got a smaller town city vibe to Frankfurt,
- 4:46even though it is the capital.
- 4:47So instead of it being like large and very, I don't know, you know.
- 4:54Modern, I guess. Well, not modern is not the right word, but,
- 4:56you know, instead of it being like, what is the word?
- 5:00Urban, maybe. It's not as urban as other capital cities I've been to.
- 5:05And I think that's, you know, it's kind of a cool thing. I agree.
- 5:08And being such a small town, you know, you can embrace the capital more.
- 5:12Yeah. If you're in a big city like Nashville, okay, there's a capital there. Yeah, great.
- 5:19But in Frankfurt, the capital, it means something. It means something more.
- 5:22Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Yeah, I like that. I like that.
- 5:26So let's pretend I've never been to Frankfurt. You're coming for the weekend.
- 5:31What are you telling me I absolutely cannot miss?
- 5:34What is something I've got to go see or do?
- 5:38Uh, there's so many, and that's the, that's the tough part about answering this,
- 5:44uh, whether it be going to one of the distilleries, uh, Liberty Hall is an amazing place to go visit.
- 5:50Uh, of course the downtown, take a river tour, uh, Josephine Sculpture Park,
- 5:57something amazing outside of the city.
- 6:00And of course you've got the Vietnam Veterans Memorial as well as,
- 6:05um, Daniel Boone's grave, Rebecca Ruth Candy, Cove Spring.
- 6:09I mean, there's just, the list goes on and on.
- 6:12So filling up a weekend with things to do in Frankfurt is not hard to do.
- 6:16It's just choosing what you like to do, whether it's bourbon,
- 6:20art, history, outdoors.
- 6:23And we've got enough to fill every one of those interests. Yeah.
- 6:26I mean, you're right. I mean, there's a little bit of something for everybody in Frankfurt.
- 6:31So, I mean, you really can't miss. Even the Capitol. Yeah. We have a lot of
- 6:34people come here for the Capitol. Yeah.
- 6:36That's awesome. Yeah. Definitely. Plenty to do. Plenty to do.
- 6:43What is something that visitors discover and say, I had no idea what's here?
- 6:47We've already talked about it. The Capitol. The Capitol.
- 6:51But they also are unaware of the amount of downtown history and art that we have.
- 6:55Frankfurt has done an amazing job of preserving history in this small town.
- 7:02And so that's a lot of what we hear about. They're impressed.
- 7:07To the quality of our downtown. Yeah, you're right. I mean, there has been a
- 7:10lot of hard work and dedication put into preserving a lot of the historic buildings
- 7:15and, you know, just the history. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Definitely very important.
- 7:20What is something that when people come to Frankfurt that they're generally
- 7:23impressed by? Or they're like, well, you kind of talk about this too, the downtown.
- 7:27Is there anything else that people are like, this is so impressive?
- 7:31And it sticks out. They're impressed of the amount of amenities we have in such a small city.
- 7:39Yeah. They're, not only do we have the capital in the middle of our small city,
- 7:43but they're impressed with all the restaurants, the shopping,
- 7:47the history, the art, everything we have.
- 7:50They're impressed that we have it. All with a river running right here at the center of it. Yeah.
- 7:56And I mean, I guess it is something like, you're opening my eyes or letting
- 8:00me rediscover a few things in this conversation that we're having.
- 8:03And it's like, I mean, you're not wrong. Like for a city this size,
- 8:06there's so many amenities. Like you said, there's so many restaurants of different varieties.
- 8:11I mean, you can kind of find whatever you want here. Exactly.
- 8:14So that is, that's something like, I mean, I'm sure people will see it if they watch the video. Yeah.
- 8:19I'm like, oh, wow. Yeah, you're right. I mean, that's, that's something that's
- 8:22definitely eye opening.
- 8:23Definitely. This is a, this is going to be a good one. Okay.
- 8:26What is something that, uh, Frankfortians take for granted?
- 8:32Like what is something people who are here all the time we take for granted?
- 8:35We, you know, something that may have fallen by the wayside that we see all
- 8:40the time or just take for granted?
- 8:42The general answer is everything.
- 8:46I mean, to be honest with you, I think they take for granted.
- 8:52How much we have and how easy it is to get to. Yeah.
- 8:58I'm still amazed. I've been here just, in fact, today is the anniversary of
- 9:02when I moved into my house. Happy anniversary. Thank you.
- 9:07I'm still amazed at how many people.
- 9:11Have this, have this idea that it takes forever to get from one side of Frankfurt
- 9:17to the other. It amazes me.
- 9:19I can get to anywhere in Frankfurt in 10 minutes or less.
- 9:23I mean, you're not wrong. Like, I mean, if you go to Lexington or Louisville
- 9:26per se, it's like to go across town, that's, I mean, you're talking about a
- 9:29considerable amount of time. Exactly. But even in the busy time of day,
- 9:33like it's really doesn't take that long.
- 9:35But like I said, I mean, that's a good answer because it's like,
- 9:38I know as somebody who works here, I take it for granted.
- 9:40Like, if I know I have to go across town to do something, I'll be like,
- 9:44oh, man, dang it, how long is it going to take you?
- 9:46But realistically, it doesn't take five or ten minutes to get anywhere.
- 9:50I can get anywhere in the city in five or ten minutes. Exactly.
- 9:53And that's something we take for granted is how easy it is to get to all the things we have. Yeah.
- 9:59That's a good, that's a good, man. And I've been here a year,
- 10:01and trust me, I'm slowly getting to that as well.
- 10:04I catch myself every now and then going, oh, I need to go to the gym.
- 10:07Um do i really want to take that eight minute drive yeah where,
- 10:12back where i was previously it was 15 minutes i didn't think a thing about driving
- 10:1715 minutes that's so isn't it so weird how that happens it's like you know i
- 10:21guess you get spoiled by having everything so close that everything seems so far away oh yeah,
- 10:27which is which is it's it's kind of silly when you sit there and think about
- 10:29it but this is good hopefully this will kind of remind people you want it you want to get unspoiled,
- 10:34go stay in a city for about a week.
- 10:37And stay in a hotel on one side of the city but go to everything on the other
- 10:40side of the city you're right i mean i'm sure most people have done that or
- 10:43oh yeah been in that similar situation you're like oh my god exactly this is
- 10:47awful so that's that's good that's good we're trying to get us back to,
- 10:52people you know realizing all the the gems we have all the good stuff we have
- 10:56here so it's it's awesome um.
- 11:01Let's talk about something more obvious. Frankfurt is a state capital,
- 11:04but for most of us, that's just a way of life. We get used to it.
- 11:09What does being the capital give
- 11:10Frankfurt from a tourism perspective that people might not appreciate?
- 11:17The main thing it gives us, and a lot of people don't realize this, is.
- 11:23It basically takes away our tourism off-season. Most places in Kentucky,
- 11:29they have an off-season.
- 11:30Usually it's December through February.
- 11:34You know, winter slows down.
- 11:37Being the Capitol, when they're in session, we have a steady stream of visitors.
- 11:42That's true. That come in during the off-season.
- 11:45Whether that be groups coming to the Capitol, meet with representatives,
- 11:50legislators, they're in session.
- 11:51So we have a steady stream of people coming in during those off-season months,
- 11:56which is something that no other city in the Commonwealth has.
- 12:01And so that's an important tourism aspect of being a capital.
- 12:06Yeah, no. See, and the inside is just so good to think about it like this.
- 12:12But, I mean, you're right. It's like, you know, so many people travel to Frankfurt
- 12:16to do business and things like to, you know, to go to the capital to do business or what have you.
- 12:22But, you know, I know I want to encourage that. I know you do too.
- 12:26Encourage people that, hey, spend a little bit of extra time and poke around a little bit.
- 12:30You might find something that you really like. So that's a good perspective right there.
- 12:35Don't really have an off season. But I hope that people do take advantage of
- 12:38if you do have to come up here to work or what happened, that you do,
- 12:41you know, poke around and see some things.
- 12:43There's plenty. We got a lot to offer. We do. Yes, we do. We got a lot to offer.
- 12:47Okay, let's walk through the perfect day in Frankfurt. Whether you're an out-of-town
- 12:50tourist or a Frankfurtian, being a tourist in your own town.
- 12:55Let's start with food. Where would you eat? Where are you going to eat?
- 12:58I know it's a hard question. So, it depends on the type of food you want.
- 13:02If you want diner food, we've got all kinds of great diners,
- 13:05whether that be Cliffside, Main Street, Tammy's, Shelby's, Melissa's,
- 13:10who else? We've got all kinds of diners.
- 13:14If you want a little higher end, we've got Cypress and Oak. We've got the Ashbrook.
- 13:17We've got Limewater. We've got the Stave.
- 13:19And then you've got just, and Serafini's downtown.
- 13:23But then we've also got your Doc Crow Social, your Burberry Street on Main,
- 13:27Porter's, the Brown Barrel. So we've got so many different options.
- 13:32It's hard to pick a certain one so when a visitor comes in and asks you know
- 13:36where's a good place to eat my first question is what types of food you like,
- 13:40yeah you gotta narrow it down because we have so many good places,
- 13:44and uh but yeah there's just too many,
- 13:48to single out one or the other yeah i know that's that's a definitely that's
- 13:51a tough question because it's like i mean it's,
- 13:54when have you ever been asked what's your favorite place to eat in frankfort
- 13:57and had one answer that rolled off it's like you got to think about that and
- 14:02you know narrow it down a little bit so i 100 agree with that um,
- 14:06so let's talk about history uh what are can't miss spots when it comes to history
- 14:11oh gosh when it comes to history well first off we have a great downtown,
- 14:17walking history tour oh it's a self-guided tour uh you get to see 42 historic
- 14:22homes and buildings in a three to four block radius.
- 14:27Oh, yeah. So it's easy. Starts at the old state capitol and just goes around.
- 14:31So you can see all these great historic homes.
- 14:34We talk about history. You can't miss the Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History.
- 14:40Capitol City Museum is another one. Liberty Hall.
- 14:45And, of course, the old state capital. Yeah. I mean, talk about history. There's your history.
- 14:50Absolutely. And so we have no shortage in that.
- 14:54No. Oh, Frankfurt's definitely steeped in history. Oh, yeah.
- 14:57A lot of history here. A lot of history.
- 15:02Frankfurt has a great outdoor activity scene. What are some recommendations
- 15:05for outdoor activities?
- 15:07There's a lot of them. One of the coolest things that you rarely see in a city.
- 15:13Is basically right in the center or just outside the city, we have Coast Spring.
- 15:17Yeah. Coast Spring Park with waterfalls and running water. That's not really
- 15:21heard of in most cities, especially capital cities.
- 15:25So Coast Spring Park is a great place. In fact, Tammy, who works in my office,
- 15:30that's her favorite spot in Blackburn. It's one of my favorites too.
- 15:34Coast Spring is great. Of course, the Kentucky River Tours.
- 15:37That's something great. We've got Salado Wildlife, Josephine Sculpture Park,
- 15:44you know, hundreds of acres of trails where you get to see these amazing artistic sculptures.
- 15:51And so that's a good one. You know, you've got, we've got a great amount of
- 15:55parks in Frankfort and Franklin County that are awesome. Whether it be Jennifer
- 15:59Hills, Lakeview, and then of course West Six Farm outside the city.
- 16:06That's a great outdoor spot as well. So we have no shortage of outdoors,
- 16:10which you would think a capital city, you think, oh, outdoors. No.
- 16:14Like I said earlier, we've got a river running right through the middle of our
- 16:17city. We are going to have outdoors. That is so true.
- 16:21And that's something that I'll personally overlook is like, we're in the capital
- 16:25city and literally that you don't have to leave the city to be in nature.
- 16:29Like you said, Cold Spring right there. We have mountain bike trails.
- 16:33Yeah. At Capitol View Park.
- 16:36It's literally next to the Capitol. Yeah, that is so...
- 16:40There's a reason it's in Capitol View Park. It's in view of the Capitol.
- 16:43Yeah, and you can go ride a mountain bike trail, which is...
- 16:46You can. That's so cool, and you need it. Yeah. Absolutely.
- 16:49Awesome. What are some recommendations for arts and culture?
- 16:54I know there's a lot of art, a lot of culture.
- 16:56So one of the things that surprised me when I came to Frankfort is I'd been
- 17:00coming to Frankfort for years.
- 17:02When I was at Kentucky Lake, I'd come up every year for the legislative session.
- 17:06And the thing that surprised me once I came back at this job is the amount of
- 17:10public art that is in Frankfurt.
- 17:13And so one of the great things is we've got a public art tour where people can
- 17:17come in and we give them the brochure. And it has every piece of public art,
- 17:21whether it's a sculpture, a mural, whatever it may be, they can take that tour of the public art.
- 17:28So that's one thing. We've got the Grand Theater.
- 17:31Oh, yeah, yeah. We want to talk about arts and culture. They have amazing shows,
- 17:35just been renovated, just reopened.
- 17:39So it's a grazing place for some shows. Like we said, Josephine Sculpture Park, another great place.
- 17:45But then one of the coolest things I love about Frankfurt is.
- 17:49I was unaware before I took this job, the amount of downtown festivals and events that Frankfort has.
- 17:56And Susie with downtown Frankfort does an outstanding job of getting us those
- 18:02festivals and events in our city.
- 18:04And so that's something that I would recommend if you have a chance to go to
- 18:10any of the events downtown,
- 18:12whether that's one of the um concert series events whether it's uh which is
- 18:19night out which is coming up soon uh shameless plug whether it's liberty holler
- 18:24which we'll be having year number two next year,
- 18:27uh or bourbon on the banks we've got all these great events that happen downtown uh as well as the um.
- 18:37Japan festival that just happened this past weekend something you wouldn't think in frankfurt but,
- 18:43it's a great festival so we have plenty of arts and culture in our town there
- 18:47is always something going on i i 100 agree with that there's a lot of people
- 18:51that work super hard to make sure we have all these great events and festivals
- 18:55and things like that and it's,
- 18:57for such a small place there's always it's always buzzing there's always something
- 19:01going on it seems like well because our office is on st claire yeah and so,
- 19:06it's every week it It seems like I will see the city pull in the truck with the barricades.
- 19:12And I'm like, all right, something's going on. We have something else going
- 19:16on, which is a great, great thing to have. Absolutely. That means there's something,
- 19:21some activity going on downtown, which is perfect. Absolutely.
- 19:27So, of course, we can't talk about Frankfurt without talking about bourbon.
- 19:31What are the bourbon hotspots for Frankfurt? We have bourbon in Frankfurt? Really? Oh, yeah.
- 19:36Well, aside from the six distilleries that we have...
- 19:41You know, some of the hotspots, one of the, one spot that's pretty unique is
- 19:45the House of Commons Bourbon Library, right there, corner of St. Clair and Main Street.
- 19:52It's a cool little bourbon bar.
- 19:56And of course, anywhere on St. Clair, you've got a lot of places,
- 19:59whether that's House or Tavern.
- 20:01Benson Valley just opened a tasting room on St. Clair. You've got Dicey Riley's,
- 20:06the Kentucky Hug, Mortimer Bibbs.
- 20:09You know, all these places for the bourbon, bourbon enthusiasts,
- 20:14great. And it's all right there on St. Clair.
- 20:16Then you go around the corner, you've got Capitol Cellars.
- 20:20And if you go down just a little bit, a couple of blocks, you can go to the Ashbrook.
- 20:25Yeah. The cool thing about the Ashbrook is not just they have bourbon,
- 20:28but it is the former home of E.H. Taylor.
- 20:32Which is a pioneer in the bourbon industry. So you get the bourbon.
- 20:36It's a hotspot, but it's also got the history involved.
- 20:40So we have no shortage of hotspots for bourbon. Absolutely. All else fails,
- 20:45go to one of the distilleries as well. Yeah.
- 20:47Or do it all. Go to all six of them. And then go to the local bars to sample.
- 20:53Further sample. Further sample. You can further sample. In moderation.
- 20:56Yeah, in moderation. Absolutely.
- 20:59Absolutely. But yes, there's plenty of things to do for a bourbon enthusiast. Yes.
- 21:05And I'd say, I mean, I see a lot of people or know people that are in my family,
- 21:09live out of town. And that's what they, you know, that's one of the draws.
- 21:14Of all the visitors that come into our office, and so far this year,
- 21:17we've had visitors from 13 different countries and 37 states. Wow.
- 21:24Overwhelmingly, the number one reason they come to Frankfurt is Bournemouth.
- 21:30We can't deny it I mean it's just part of us it's not the only thing we have
- 21:37but that's what most people come for well that's okay if people want to come
- 21:39for the bourbon but end up experiencing way more than that that's what we're
- 21:42about exactly that's what we do,
- 21:45bourbon brings them in but everything else keeps them here there you go I like that I like that,
- 21:51so finally to end the day you want a sweet treat or a cocktail you kind of touched
- 21:56on the cocktails Where are you going to go for a sweet treat,
- 22:00maybe a cocktail after or before?
- 22:02Depending on what you consider your end of day.
- 22:06It could be Wicked Whisk. Oh, yeah. Amazing cupcakes and cheesecakes.
- 22:14Might be my favorite dessert I've ever had will be coming up soon because it's Christmas coming up.
- 22:21They make a Christmas tree cake.
- 22:24Okay. Cupcake, but they also make the Christmas tree cake cheesecake.
- 22:29Oh, see, cheesecake. So if you like those Christmas tree cakes that come out
- 22:32every year, they make a cheesecake of it.
- 22:35Oh, yeah. You're speaking my language now. You're speaking my language.
- 22:37I love a cheesecake. And they sell out all the time. They're so popular,
- 22:40but they're so good. But also, ice cream. We've got Hoggies downtown.
- 22:45Yeah. We've got Bee's Bakery. We've got all kinds of places where you can get something sweet.
- 22:49And if you really want a sweet treat, go to the home of the bourbon ball.
- 22:56Yeah. Rebecca Ruth Candies.
- 23:00There's your sweet treats right there. Absolutely. And something that is from
- 23:04Frankfort, originated in Frankfort, have a bourbon ball.
- 23:09Absolutely. Yeah. There you go. That is a good Frankfort dessert, a nice bourbon ball.
- 23:16It is. It is. Absolutely.
- 23:21So, Randy, most Frankfurtians recognize that Frankfurt has experienced monumental
- 23:28growth over the last several years.
- 23:30What are you most excited about coming up for Frankfurt?
- 23:36A couple of things, or two or three things. Number one, I was really surprised
- 23:41when I came back that there was no longer a convention is there,
- 23:44a conference there. And I understand why it's gone.
- 23:47But I'm really excited that we have a new conference center.
- 23:50Groundbreaking's going to be coming up soon.
- 23:52And that's going to enable us from the tourism industry, we're going to be able
- 23:57to market for conferences and groups.
- 23:59Absolutely. Get some of these conferences that used to come to Frankfurt and
- 24:02that now go to other places, get them back. Yeah.
- 24:05So I'm really excited about the conference center.
- 24:08It's going to give us another way to get more people to experience Frankfurt.
- 24:13I'm also excited about the riverfront revitalization plan. Yeah.
- 24:18We have an amazing resource that is untapped. Yes.
- 24:25And connecting that river together.
- 24:28More to the downtown like a seamless connection between the river and the downtown,
- 24:34will be transformational for the city absolutely it will be unreal and if we
- 24:40can get that done that that's going to be one of our biggest biggest assets into the river yeah uh,
- 24:47and another thing this is outside of frankfurt downtown but in the county uh
- 24:52the sports complex are building yeah Sports are huge, and that's going to be
- 24:56something that's going to bring these tournaments in,
- 24:59which is something else that we can promote, because I want all the sporting events here.
- 25:04Absolutely. I want all the conferences here. I want everything to come here.
- 25:08And so it just gives us more. And so those three things I'm really looking forward
- 25:13to, and that's going to help us with our marketing efforts as well.
- 25:17There you go. Absolutely.
- 25:20So tell us what's on the horizon for Visit Frankfurt and Tourism.
- 25:24Oh, gosh. Well, like we just said, we're going to have a new way to market with
- 25:30our groups and conferences.
- 25:33We've got the riverfront revitalization. We've got hotels coming in in the next two to three years.
- 25:41From a more marketing standpoint we're doing something that we haven't been
- 25:47done before we've got a completely new visitors guide coming up for next year
- 25:50that looks nothing like we've had before.
- 25:54We're targeting our marketing a little more direct getting down to specific
- 26:00groups that we're targeting with the Frankfurt message,
- 26:04and then we're partnering with two other counties for a campaign called the Heart of Bourbon.
- 26:11Okay. And we are partnering with Anderson County and Woodfoot County and we've
- 26:15all pooled our money together and we're doing a Heart of Bourbon campaign completely
- 26:19website advertising everything. That's exciting. And so that'll be rolled out.
- 26:25And hopefully before Kingland picks up here in just a few weeks.
- 26:29Really? Yeah. Wow, that's super exciting. Actually, I had a meeting about it
- 26:32this morning, and I've got another meeting this afternoon. So that should be
- 26:37getting rolled out within the next few weeks. Well, that's awesome.
- 26:40I'm looking forward to that. That's super cool.

- 27:10Most underrated Frankfurt attraction? Josephine Sculpture Park and Liberty Hall. Okay.
- 27:14Best cocktail in Frankfurt? I'm a bourbon fan, but if I had to pick a cocktail, I'd say the Frankfurt.
- 27:20Oh, okay. The Frankfurt. I like it. Favorite Frankfurt event?
- 27:26Witch's Night Out and Bourbon on the Banks. Okay.
- 27:29East side or west side, Cragman? I'm not getting in a turf war.

- 27:39Okay. Smart answer. Smart answer. I love the smart answer.
- 27:43And what's something every Frankfurtian should do at least once?
- 27:47Visit the Kentucky Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
- 27:51It's an amazing place. And the story behind it is amazing. And what it represents
- 27:57is something we should be proud of and we should honor them constantly.
