  Speaker 1: it last night. My mom had to be taken to

  Speaker 1: the emergency room because a lot of blood from the stool. So,

  Speaker 1: and her name is Mary. If you were listening, please

  Speaker 1: be able to pray for her, the listener, please keep

  Speaker 1: her in your prayers. She has been admitted this morning,
• 0:42
  Speaker 1: so you know, when it comes to it though now

  Speaker 1: she even asked me in the emergency room last night,
• 0:49
  Speaker 1: and you go into church still, you know, and that's
• 0:54
  Speaker 1: that's a priority. And I made sure that I she
• 0:58
  Speaker 1: didn't even think I was going to show up in
• 1:00
  Speaker 1: the emergency room, but I went there and made sure
• 1:04
  Speaker 1: she was okay. She's not in a whole lot of pain,
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: and I before I left, I prayed for her. I
• 1:13
  Speaker 1: put my hand on her head and we did a
• 1:15
  Speaker 1: really really lovely prayer, you know. And it's anyways, you know,
• 1:22
  Speaker 1: the show must go on, and that's just the way
• 1:27
  Speaker 1: life is you know things are going to happen, you know,
• 1:30
  Speaker 1: but you you have to put God first, and you
• 1:34
  Speaker 1: have to realize that when those kinds of things happen,

  Speaker 1: that there's people that are in the profession and that
• 1:40
  Speaker 1: are godly driven and power of prayer. So I'm going

  Speaker 1: to give you an opportunity to go ahead and grab

  Speaker 1: your Bible and read along as you hear along in

  Speaker 1: Proverbs chapter twenty. This has been a great series, I

  Speaker 1: believe you know, all of them have when it goes

  Speaker 1: back to Corinthians. And I've done a little bit of

  Speaker 1: uh John fourteen, and truthfully, I'm not too sure exactly

  Speaker 1: what series will be next, but I'm gonna continue until Proverbs.

  Speaker 1: So it's rare and out and I think i'll make

  Speaker 1: ten or fifteen verses. So bear with me as I

  Speaker 1: I come to you in prayer to be able to

  Speaker 1: have the Holy Spirit, be able to speak through this

  Speaker 1: mic and reach through the listener's ears, and reach their

  Speaker 1: heart and their minds, and be able to apply these
• 4:09
  Speaker 1: verses to their lives and the Lord Jesus Christ's name.

  Speaker 1: I pray Amen. So Proverbs chapter twenty. If you drink

  Speaker 1: too much wine or strong drink, you do stupid things
• 4:21
  Speaker 1: and you fight. It is not wise to become drunk.

  Speaker 1: Take it from this recovering alcoholic. This is so true.
• 4:31
  Speaker 1: I'm sweating as I do this, so please bear with
• 4:34
  Speaker 1: me because I need to make sure that I don't
• 4:36
  Speaker 1: sweat too much. I don't want to be too sweat. Well,
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: we're gonna be getting in to the word. We're gonna
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: be getting into the word, you know. And there's a
• 4:48
  Speaker 1: lot that's going on. There's always been a lot on
• 4:51
  Speaker 1: my plate for a while, I know. And anyways, it's
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: so true. I used to love getting drunk. I would

  Speaker 1: do stupid things, and I would get into fights, and
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: I was a rebel. Oh but you know, through a
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: very lengthy process, a lot of hard times, hardships, rock bottom.
• 5:14
  Speaker 1: I believe I had a few rock bottoms, you know.
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: Come on, Sorry, I'm giving somebody the right away when

  Speaker 1: it was actually my right away. But the truth of
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: the matter is, I know what it feels like to
• 5:33
  Speaker 1: be in the drunk tank, meaning jail. I know what
• 5:37
  Speaker 1: it feels like to be in a hospital with the
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: nurse in front, and you can't even leave the room.
• 5:42
  Speaker 1: I know what it feels like to be in a detox.
• 5:45
  Speaker 1: I know what it feels like to just be blacked
• 5:49
  Speaker 1: out drunk and wake up the next morning not knowing.
• 5:52
  Speaker 1: So take it from this recovering alcoholic. You know, if
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: you can drink in moderation, more power to you. But
• 5:58
  Speaker 1: that's just not the way that I drink. And verse two,
• 6:01
  Speaker 1: when the king is angry, just don't drink. He is
• 6:05
  Speaker 1: a dangerous He is as dangerous as a lion that roars.
• 6:10
  Speaker 1: If you make him angry, you will lose your life.
• 6:14
  Speaker 1: Verse three. If you keep away from arguments, you will
• 6:19
  Speaker 1: receive honor. Only fools love to a quarrel, love to
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: be able to think that your opinion matters and that
• 6:31
  Speaker 1: you were right. And these uvs are not played today.

  Speaker 1: Who praise God? Praise Jesus though, And I say that,

  Speaker 1: and I can't leave out the Holy Spirit. I want
• 6:43
  Speaker 1: to make this clear that I don't get distracted anymore

  Speaker 1: when it comes to God's will. I don't have to
• 6:53
  Speaker 1: get angry and punch walls, and I don't have to
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: get angry to the extent where it ruins my whole day.

  Speaker 1: You know I have a list, and it's God's will,

  Speaker 1: my AA recovery, my significant other, my brother, and my mom.

  Speaker 1: That's my starting five in that particular order. That's my choice,
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: how I put it. And what is God's will, It's
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: following his son. And I know that I am walking
• 7:30
  Speaker 1: to church alone, but I am not in the spiritually spiritual.
• 7:35
  Speaker 1: I'm not spiritually alone. And it's amazing to be able
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: to have technology to do these podcasts right while I'm walking.

  Speaker 1: So talk about walking the talk, you know, and practicing
• 7:57
  Speaker 1: what I actually preach. When I was a believer, not
• 8:01
  Speaker 1: a follow up christ, I was still drinking. When I
• 8:04
  Speaker 1: used to do podcasts, it used to be called The
• 8:06
  Speaker 1: Young Casper Show, and I was actually getting a lot
• 8:13
  Speaker 1: of numbers. I was actually pretty uh popular and in
• 8:20
  Speaker 1: my my network, and it was based out of Chicago.

  Speaker 1: And you know, when we're talking about like being able
• 8:31
  Speaker 1: to look and I don't want to make this all
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: about me, so let's just continue. Actually, I just want

  Speaker 1: everyone to know that, you know, I know what it's

  Speaker 1: like to be on the other side of the fence,

  Speaker 1: you know. And when we get into verse four, let

  Speaker 1: don't do this because I need to. I've always felt

  Speaker 1: like I've been protected by God through all the rejections,

  Speaker 1: through all the self will driven things I've even done.

  Speaker 1: There's been some sort of protection over in my life.

  Speaker 1: And doing these podcasts is my devotion to the Lord

  Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. I have to make that clear. It's not
• 9:35
  Speaker 1: all about these words. It's about that relationship and allowing
• 9:40
  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit to really take over. So let's get
• 9:43
  Speaker 1: into it. Proverbs chapter twenty, verse four. A lazy farmer
• 9:47
  Speaker 1: does not plute his fields in winter. As a result,
• 9:53
  Speaker 1: he has nothing to eat when harvest sundrewrives. So you
• 9:56
  Speaker 1: have to be patient. You have to plant the sea.

  Speaker 1: There's a time and place for everything. And let's just
• 10:05
  Speaker 1: get let's just go deeper, because I'm breaking these Bibles
• 10:08
  Speaker 1: versus down a little bit too much, and I'm you know,
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: I'm sharing more of my experience and that's too much preaching.

  Speaker 1: We've come to a Bible study, right, so let's keep
• 10:19
  Speaker 1: it going. A person's thoughts are like deep waters, but
• 10:23
  Speaker 1: a wise person can bring them into the open verse six.
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: Many people say that you can trust them, but it
• 10:31
  Speaker 1: is difficult to find a truly faithful person. And when
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: you do, hold on to them, hold on to the
• 10:38
  Speaker 1: tight Now, how do we be faithful person? We really
• 10:43
  Speaker 1: genuinely stay connected, We stay honest. And the best part
• 10:50
  Speaker 1: about being a faithful person is that you don't always
• 10:54
  Speaker 1: feel and think about doing these things. You just do them.

  Speaker 1: You go with what you know. And how do you know?
• 11:05
  Speaker 1: You stay in the world, stay in prayer, you stay
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: in praise. And no matter how difficult my life may get,
• 11:13
  Speaker 1: and it has gotten difficult the past seven years. And
• 11:18
  Speaker 1: I know about struggle, I know about having to move
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: and this, and that I will never lose faith in
• 11:23
  Speaker 1: Jesus because he never lost faith in me. He's always
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: had a calling on me. And I could sit here
• 11:32
  Speaker 1: and say a hand I could sit here and say everything,
• 11:34
  Speaker 1: but it'll never describe exactly what I've experienced as a
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: human being. And when things are no longer a distraction,
• 11:47
  Speaker 1: there's so many things that are revealed, and we have
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: to be able to see the truth though, and not
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: make it egotistic, and not make it something that glorifies me,
• 11:57
  Speaker 1: because I'm not trying to glorify me. I'm trying to.

  Speaker 1: I'm not trying. I'm succeeding in glorifying God, Jesus in
• 12:03
  Speaker 1: the Holy Spirit. Amen. So let's just keep it going.

  Speaker 1: A righteous righteous people live in an honest way, their
• 12:10
  Speaker 1: children will also be happy. I will go a little
• 12:18
  Speaker 1: bit off of that. And my mom, as I was
• 12:22
  Speaker 1: growing up, you know, she never forced religion on us.
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: She was an example of how to stand up for
• 12:31
  Speaker 1: yourself because we also had a father that was verbally abusive.
• 12:35
  Speaker 1: But there was Bibles in the house, there was angel
• 12:38
  Speaker 1: figures in the house, and I always felt a presence
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: of something that was bigger than me, you know, And
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: I was always grateful for that. But there's also times
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: where I didn't understand. Now that I understand, I can
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: appreciate not only my mother, but my grandmother. She was
• 12:59
  Speaker 1: the closest thing that Jesus I've ever met and actually knew.
• 13:04
  Speaker 1: And you know, rest in peace, there's in heaven. I
• 13:10
  Speaker 1: believe her spirit looks over at me. Though sometimes when
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: a king sits on its throne. This is probably of
• 13:15
  Speaker 1: chapter twenty, verse eight. We're gonna close out soon. It's

  Speaker 1: getting hot. I gotta keep wiping myself. When a king
• 13:24
  Speaker 1: sits on his throne as a judge, he sees what
• 13:34
  Speaker 1: is evil and he removes it verse nine. Nobody can
• 13:37
  Speaker 1: say my thoughts are completely pure, there is no sin
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: in me. Nobody can say that, Not one soul can
• 13:46
  Speaker 1: say that. And as I stop and kind of get
• 13:48
  Speaker 1: in some shade because that son is getting out and out,

  Speaker 1: I have to be able to finish this out. So

  Speaker 1: me from doing God's will, not even my mom in

  Speaker 1: the hospital. When I say that, I'm not only just

  Speaker 1: going to church, I'm doing this Bible study that I'm

  Speaker 1: making up for last night. I always make time for

  Speaker 1: the people I love. You always make time with the
• 14:30
  Speaker 1: things that you love, and a lot of us I
• 14:39
  Speaker 1: want to make clear that it is we are loving
• 14:42
  Speaker 1: things more than people, and we are losing sight of
• 14:46
  Speaker 1: our faith. And I'm not just speaking as from just me.
• 14:52
  Speaker 1: I'm speaking as a country. I'm speaking as a world,
• 14:56
  Speaker 1: you know. And that's something that
