Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hey guys, welcome to a headlines edition of the Almost
- 0:09Speaker 2: Famous podcast filling in for Ben is Zachary Reality. We
- 0:14Speaker 2: had to get this headlines in today Tuesday, March eleventh,
- 0:18Speaker 2: because there are some crazy bachelor headlines out right now,
- 0:23Speaker 2: including the one that really made us get on the mic.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Deanna Pappas has been arrested after a showdown with her
- 0:31Speaker 2: ex husband Steven Stagliano, and we may not have the
- 0:34Speaker 2: entire story here, but we do want to get out
- 0:36Speaker 2: the facts that we have. So they seem to be
- 0:40Speaker 2: going back and forth a bit. Stephen is claiming that
- 0:45Speaker 2: she is an alcoholic. First, his mom was picking up
- 0:52Speaker 2: their children and Austin to take him to school, and
- 0:58Speaker 2: she's alleged that she smelt alcohol on on Dianna's breath.
- 1:05Speaker 2: This is part of a narrative that Deanna says they're
- 1:09Speaker 2: trying to perpetuate. She said that often she feels like
- 1:14Speaker 2: he's trained their daughter Addison to kind of survey the
- 1:19Speaker 2: house for alcohol.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And then.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Just this week what happened was a physical altercation between
- 1:29Speaker 2: Stephen and Deanna, in which Stephen wanted to This is
- 1:36Speaker 2: all legend, Okay, this is all It seems to be
- 1:40Speaker 2: Deanna's side the story. What happens is he picks up
- 1:42Speaker 2: the kids, particularly to think of the situation.
- 1:44Speaker 4: It was their daughter.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Addison says, come close to me, I want to smell
- 1:51Speaker 2: your breath, and then she's like no. She turns around
- 1:56Speaker 2: heads into the garage and she hears him following her
- 1:59Speaker 2: into the garage.
- 2:00Speaker 3: She closes the door, locks it, and then she goes.
- 2:06Speaker 3: She calls the police.
- 2:09Speaker 2: In the midst of this, he does get his hands
- 2:12Speaker 2: on her, pushes her against a wall, and somehow once
- 2:18Speaker 2: the police arrive, they arrest Diana. This is why we're
- 2:23Speaker 2: not really sure if we have all the facts here.
- 2:26Speaker 2: But Dianna was put behind bars and got out the
- 2:31Speaker 2: same day with twenty thousand dollars in bond. And Deanna
- 2:37Speaker 2: is trying to get a restraining order against Steven that'll
- 2:42Speaker 2: keep him one hundred yards away from her.
- 2:46Speaker 3: That's what we got. That's what we got. I don't
- 2:50Speaker 3: know if you're.
- 2:51Speaker 2: Asking for I don't know if I'm asking for opinion either,
- 2:54Speaker 2: because let's also add that Deanna is saying, I'm not alcoholic.
- 3:01Speaker 2: He's coaching our daughter to look out for alcohol in
- 3:04Speaker 2: the home, to literally sniff out alcohol and try to
- 3:09Speaker 2: alienate her away from me. So yeah, So the restraining
- 3:13Speaker 2: order that was she trialed was on the seventh, so
- 3:18Speaker 2: we'll see there's a hearing later this month. I don't
- 3:21Speaker 2: know should we give opinion on this.
- 3:25Speaker 5: I mean, I think the main takeaway from this is
- 3:27Speaker 5: that the children should not be involved or in the middle.
- 3:31Speaker 5: It seems as any type of like whatever it's called, like,
- 3:36Speaker 5: they just should not be involved to sway, or they
- 3:39Speaker 5: shouldn't be aware of how bad it is between their parents,
- 3:41Speaker 5: because it sounds like the kids are kids. So I
- 3:44Speaker 5: think that hopefully this is a wake up call for
- 3:47Speaker 5: Steven and Dianna, who probably have been fighting for a while,
- 3:50Speaker 5: that like this could be a rock bottom moment for
- 3:52Speaker 5: them where they could really look at whatever they arguing
- 3:55Speaker 5: about and just be like, all right, this is the
- 3:56Speaker 5: last time. It's gone way too far. Now the kids
- 3:59Speaker 5: are involved, Now they're going to be more aware. So
- 4:02Speaker 5: let's just try and co parent amicably and not be
- 4:05Speaker 5: near each other. Let's just not talk to each other.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Let's get someone in between, maybe your mom and I
- 4:11Speaker 5: also hope that Deanna is you know, honoring the rule
- 4:13Speaker 5: of not drinking in front of the kids, if that's
- 4:15Speaker 5: the rule that they both agreed on.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Also worth mentioning that they did settle their divorce in
- 4:22Speaker 2: June of last year. We will have the base on this, Yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 2: so we'll up base on this soon, all right. Next up,
- 4:31Speaker 2: baby lion Dyke number four. Ari and Lauren are having
- 4:36Speaker 2: their fourth baby.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I may have known one of this a little while ago.
- 4:40Speaker 2: That yes, me, No, I didn't know from them, so
- 4:45Speaker 2: they're his vasectomy reversal was obviously successful.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I did know back in September that.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Ari got his vseectomy reverse at one of our friend's weddings.
- 4:58Speaker 4: It was the talk of the place.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Everybody was like, wait, you got it reverse? Was that painful?
- 5:04Speaker 3: He said it was a four hour surgery and it
- 5:07Speaker 3: was still not a guarantee.
- 5:08Speaker 2: After the four hour surgery, and we're like, after twins,
- 5:12Speaker 2: you know, after Alessie and followed by a set of twins,
- 5:16Speaker 2: you guys are ready to do it again. And they
- 5:18Speaker 2: were like, you'll understand once your kids are in school,
- 5:21Speaker 2: because when they're in school, you're home all day and
- 5:24Speaker 2: you're like, oh man, now I miss that that phase
- 5:27Speaker 2: of crazy we're like, okay, maybe maybe we we'll get it.
- 5:30Speaker 3: So very happy for them.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Congratulations, this is this was their wish.
- 5:36Speaker 5: Well and this is also big news because now it's
- 5:38Speaker 5: they will become the most the most child full. Yes,
- 5:43Speaker 5: they will be the Bachelor Nation couple with the most kids,
- 5:46Speaker 5: breaking the record of four, which no one has ever
- 5:49Speaker 5: done before. Sean Loh and Catherine are right behind them
- 5:52Speaker 5: with three. Jaden Tanner as well with three, but Ari
- 5:55Speaker 5: and Lauren will be breaking new barriers with their fourth childs.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Good stat there, thank you, thank you.
- 6:02Speaker 2: All right then, Katie Thurston, she's been really updating us
- 6:05Speaker 2: a lot on her health journey.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Of course, we know that she has breast cancer.
- 6:09Speaker 2: Right now, but before she undergoes the chemotherapy that she
- 6:14Speaker 2: needs to do for that, she is freezing her eggs
- 6:18Speaker 2: and right now she is telling us all the details
- 6:21Speaker 2: about that. The average age, an average cost of freezing
- 6:29Speaker 2: your eggs is twenty four thousand dollars. It's technically she
- 6:34Speaker 2: has it twenty four three and forty nine dollars, and
- 6:38Speaker 2: she is getting a discount of fifty percent the itemized
- 6:42Speaker 2: receipt that she showed that her insurance will pay the
- 6:46Speaker 2: insurance will pay a remaining eleven thousand dollars. Yes, so
- 6:52Speaker 2: these are her daily shots, broken down by cost. And
- 6:55Speaker 2: as someone with breast cancer, she said a lot of
- 6:58Speaker 2: my fertility treatments will be covered by the State of
- 7:01Speaker 2: New York.
- 7:01Speaker 4: So that's interesting and that's great.
- 7:03Speaker 5: I like how she's being transparent too, because I think
- 7:05Speaker 5: these are things that people don't know, Like they don't
- 7:07Speaker 5: know how insurance works, how you know medical things work.
- 7:09Speaker 5: And you know, she is in a very precarious situation,
- 7:13Speaker 5: so her being open about it is only going to
- 7:14Speaker 5: help so many people because she does have such a
- 7:16Speaker 5: large following. So I feel bad for her, but I'm
- 7:20Speaker 5: glad that she's being transparent. I wish she got paid
- 7:22Speaker 5: more for the show. I mean, she was the bachelorette,
- 7:24Speaker 5: so if only, you know, she could have got more
- 7:28Speaker 5: money that came along with that. They don't maybe they
- 7:30Speaker 5: don't pay their leads enough.
- 7:31Speaker 3: They certain they don't pay their leads too much. But
- 7:35Speaker 3: she was also on.
- 7:38Speaker 2: F Boy Island with as being one of the girl leads,
- 7:42Speaker 2: and she probably made more through being a lead there.
- 7:46Speaker 2: And she also is talking about motherhood. She said that
- 7:50Speaker 2: it was something that she didn't think that she wanted.
- 7:52Speaker 2: She said, one day you think you don't want kids,
- 7:54Speaker 2: and then one day you meet the man of your
- 7:56Speaker 2: dreams and you would do anything to make sure that
- 7:57Speaker 2: we can start a family in the future.
- 8:00Speaker 4: That's oh, that's super sweet.
- 8:02Speaker 2: And she said that for those of you who aren't
- 8:04Speaker 2: familiar with fertility treatment, here's a typical day. I'm taking
- 8:07Speaker 2: three pills a day to keep my estrogen down, a
- 8:09Speaker 2: shot in my stomach in the morning, and two shots
- 8:11Speaker 2: in my stomach at night. And she has to go
- 8:17Speaker 2: to the clinic, you know, for blood draws and ultrasounds
- 8:20Speaker 2: and all of that. She's in the second week leading
- 8:22Speaker 2: up to their egg retrieval. She just says she's feeling
- 8:26Speaker 2: tired and that her sleep and dreams are crazy.
- 8:31Speaker 5: Oh wow.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 5: Like I said, I'm glad that she's being transparent and open,
- 8:34Speaker 5: and a lot of us are really rooting for her
- 8:37Speaker 5: and rallying for her. Like I sent her a nice
- 8:40Speaker 5: message just to really like encourage her to get through this.
- 8:43Speaker 5: It sounds like she had her whole life plans with
- 8:46Speaker 5: this guy that she met and she's engaged, so hopefully
- 8:48Speaker 5: she is able to just like get through this and
- 8:52Speaker 5: that there is like a bright light at the end
- 8:53Speaker 5: of the tunnel and that she could have that family
- 8:55Speaker 5: she's always wanted and maybe before she even knows it
- 8:58Speaker 5: could be you know, in a couple of years.
- 9:00Speaker 2: And she was also talking about how, you know, if
- 9:03Speaker 2: she has a successful egg retrieval and she gets like
- 9:06Speaker 2: ten eggs, the viability of getting a baby from that
- 9:11Speaker 2: to retrieval is maybe one or two successful embryos that'll
- 9:16Speaker 2: transfer over and you.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Know, become a baby one day.
- 9:19Speaker 2: So so much goes into it and it all still
- 9:22Speaker 2: feels up to, you know chance. Our final headline is
- 9:37Speaker 2: justin Glaize, Andrew Spencer and Greg Grippo are taking a
- 9:43Speaker 2: four year Friends of Rosary trip. They've been friends for
- 9:47Speaker 2: four years now and they went to Putakana in the
- 9:52Speaker 2: Dominican to celebrate this, which is very adorable.
- 9:56Speaker 3: They are one of.
- 9:57Speaker 2: The closest friend crews that I have seeing come out
- 10:00Speaker 2: of this show, and it's adorable that they're that they're
- 10:04Speaker 2: going away together, just the three of the guys, and
- 10:07Speaker 2: they're recreating white lotus during their trip.
- 10:10Speaker 4: They've been doing that.
- 10:13Speaker 2: So congratulations to your very close friendship.
- 10:17Speaker 5: This seems like the guys from Katie season have always
- 10:19Speaker 5: been really close. I mean, just looking at this article,
- 10:22Speaker 5: there's other articles of them like having more friends from
- 10:25Speaker 5: their group, like Mike, Michael.
- 10:27Speaker 2: Ah, Michael A. He should well, Michael A is great.
- 10:30Speaker 2: But then also there was Mike from The Virgin and
- 10:35Speaker 2: I love Mike the Virgin. He should be in Paradise
- 10:37Speaker 2: for sure. And I would love to see all these
- 10:40Speaker 2: three guys together in Paradise. I know that Justin and
- 10:43Speaker 2: his relationship with Susie is up in the air, but
- 10:46Speaker 2: it is good bachelor in Paradise fodder to have either
- 10:50Speaker 2: him alone and us see him for both of them
- 10:54Speaker 2: with heartbreak or both of them and being like, if
- 10:56Speaker 2: you guys can't get through Paradise together, then you probably
- 11:01Speaker 2: won't be able, you know, to resurrect this relationship.
- 11:06Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean them taking boys trips all the time,
- 11:09Speaker 5: like they must have just like gotten a lot of
- 11:11Speaker 5: money from their influencing career and just you know, have
- 11:14Speaker 5: all the time in the world, because it seems like
- 11:15Speaker 5: they are taking trips together every other week. But for them,
- 11:18Speaker 5: like they're just living their best life and they enjoy
- 11:20Speaker 5: each other's company.
- 11:22Speaker 3: I my guess is at a lot of places, a
- 11:24Speaker 3: lot of resorts.
- 11:25Speaker 2: A lot of events want these guys here because they're single,
- 11:28Speaker 2: they're good looking, they're like the last Really, I feel
- 11:32Speaker 2: like lovable bunch of single guys from the show, Like
- 11:36Speaker 2: can you think in recent seasons like a guy group
- 11:40Speaker 2: that is funny and charming the way that they are.
- 11:45Speaker 5: No, and they're really good at TikTok too. They are
- 11:46Speaker 5: always posting different sounds and stuff. I really want Greg
- 11:50Speaker 5: to be the Bachelor. I feel like he is eligible,
- 11:53Speaker 5: like he has a big enough name, so I would
- 11:54Speaker 5: love them to make him the Bachelor. But if he's
- 11:56Speaker 5: not gonna do it, like I would hope that he
- 11:58Speaker 5: would at least do Bachelor in Paradise because yeah, he
- 12:00Speaker 5: only gave us one season. He was only on Katie's
- 12:03Speaker 5: season and then he came in at the end with
- 12:05Speaker 5: Victoria there. But I don't know why he won't just
- 12:08Speaker 5: go on the show, especially because he seems to really
- 12:11Speaker 5: enjoy all the perks that come with it.
- 12:13Speaker 2: I think he definitely would be the Bachelor, and yeah,
- 12:16Speaker 2: we won't have a Bachelorette season to pick the Bachelor from,
- 12:19Speaker 2: so it could be somebody like him from a previous season.
- 12:22Speaker 2: But my opinion is that they would probably like to
- 12:26Speaker 2: pull a Culton scenario, a Nick scenario with him. Have
- 12:30Speaker 2: him go on Paradise, see how that unfolds him, remind
- 12:35Speaker 2: people how much they loved him, and then if it
- 12:39Speaker 2: doesn't work out, have him.
- 12:40Speaker 4: Be the bachelor lead. I think that's the perfect scenario
- 12:43Speaker 4: for everyone.
- 12:44Speaker 5: I hope he does it because I think we'll we'll
- 12:46Speaker 5: need some type of all star cast and we're gonna
- 12:48Speaker 5: need some.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Guys, need him as the star guy. Yeah.
- 12:52Speaker 5: Yeah, there's so many amazing girls from the last few
- 12:55Speaker 5: years that I know we're going to go go out
- 12:57Speaker 5: there and want to, especially Joey's season and Grant season,
- 13:00Speaker 5: and so I really hope that Grant and maybe Andrew
- 13:02Speaker 5: and Justin will join him. I mean, Greg, maybe they'll
- 13:05Speaker 5: join him in Paradise. We can get all three of
- 13:06Speaker 5: them there.
- 13:07Speaker 2: I think we need to do this, and I think
- 13:09Speaker 2: we need to put Susie in there too.
- 13:12Speaker 3: That would be so good.
- 13:13Speaker 5: I think she could be down.
- 13:14Speaker 3: Do you have insight about their relationship currently?
- 13:17Speaker 5: Yeah, it's it's over. It's not I think they're just friendly.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Okay, So guys, what was happening was, of course they
- 13:24Speaker 2: were together for about five months last year turned in
- 13:28Speaker 2: turned a friendship, a really close friendship, into a romantic relationship.
- 13:32Speaker 2: They broke up, and then it seemed as a couple
- 13:36Speaker 2: months ago they were trying to possibly rekindle.
- 13:38Speaker 4: Things, and you're saying that currently not rekindled.
- 13:42Speaker 5: Not rekindled. I did see my girl Susie over the weekend.
- 13:46Speaker 5: I saw her at a friend's birthday party. So yes,
- 13:49Speaker 5: they're not together, they're just friends. And she didn't directly
- 13:53Speaker 5: say she would go to Paradise, but it seemed like
- 13:56Speaker 5: there could she could be open. So I would hope
- 13:59Speaker 5: that she's never gone either. She's never been, so I'm
- 14:03Speaker 5: helping she goes.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Love it, Love it m h. And we'll know.
- 14:07Speaker 5: We'll know if she's there, and will know who else
- 14:09Speaker 5: is there because once it comes to May and we
- 14:11Speaker 5: know when they go to film, we'll see who's you know,
- 14:13Speaker 5: gone from their social media and stuff like that, so
- 14:16Speaker 5: we'll be able to kind of tell and hear and
- 14:18Speaker 5: maybe we can spoil at least who went, not what happens,
- 14:22Speaker 5: but at least who went.
- 14:23Speaker 4: Yes, good stuff.
- 14:25Speaker 2: It seems like this Paradise season is going is one
- 14:28Speaker 2: in which the cast really wants to be part of.
- 14:30Speaker 2: I think in previous years, we've heard people be like,
- 14:33Speaker 2: oh no, I don't want to do Paradise. Every thinks
- 14:36Speaker 2: that they have like a chance at the lead. So
- 14:37Speaker 2: a lot of the quote A listers won't go to Paradise,
- 14:41Speaker 2: and now I think they're like, who knows what's going
- 14:43Speaker 2: on for this franchise, Let's just take a week again.
- 14:46Speaker 5: I would rather go to Paradise, you know, if you
- 14:48Speaker 5: don't even know if you're going to be the lead,
- 14:49Speaker 5: if anyone's really holding out for it, and even if
- 14:51Speaker 5: you go to Paradise you can still be the lead.
- 14:53Speaker 5: It seems like there's way less pressure on Paradise than
- 14:55Speaker 5: there is on any of the other shows. So I
- 14:58Speaker 5: think all the people should just go back do it
- 15:00Speaker 5: a third time, like you have nothing to lose.
- 15:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 2: I think people need to really remember that if you
- 15:06Speaker 2: go to Paradise, it doesn't mean you can be the lead.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Actually it might increase your odds of being the lead.
- 15:12Speaker 2: And guys there you could yeah, and there's air conditioning
- 15:15Speaker 2: maybe this year, so good, good, just do it.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Have a great time, all.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Right, Well, Zach, thank you so much for joining us again.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Great headlines episode. Thanks for being our go to fill
- 15:28Speaker 2: in Man. We appreciate you, and we'll thank you for
- 15:31Speaker 2: having me sometime very soon.
- 15:34Speaker 5: Yes, I'd love to come back. Thank you all so
- 15:35Speaker 5: much for watching.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Bye.
