- 0:27special. Welcome to a guy that I've been.

- 0:39But even there is all the way from the USA is a regular on
- 0:43that on their Channel. They are a popular.
- 0:45Manchester United fan channel here.
- 0:48Welcome Junction. Thanks for having me.
- 0:52Nice. Nice to have young men.
- 0:54Yeah. We were all quite excited to to
- 0:57get the board everything on this one.
- 0:59Nope. Intended.
- 1:01But yeah, as is customary with our show whenever we have a
- 1:06first time on we have a little bit of an icebreaker.
- 1:11So John, what is your single most greatest football memory
- 1:16and why? That's a great question.
- 1:21I'm going to start with, I'm gonna I'm gonna I'm gonna show
- 1:24it to one because of course, of course, we're all here as much
- 1:27as but also, because as a massive football fan, I also
- 1:31keep the South Korean national football team, very close to my
- 1:34heart. So, two moments in particular,
- 1:36one was, of course, in 2002 in the career World Cup, when ji,
- 1:42Sung Park our very own red when he first sort of rows into this
- 1:47chart on more started. Being notice on an international
- 1:51stage was when he scored his goal vs.
- 1:53Portugal. And this was this was a very
- 1:55stacked Portugal side, mind you nobody in their right mind,
- 1:58thought Korea is going to take any result, vs.
- 1:59Portugal and Jason Park. Absolutely, world-class finish
- 2:03took a chest out from a long ball.
- 2:05Took a touch with his right foot, and then volleyed it with
- 2:07his left. It was an unbelievable moment.
- 2:09And then the Korea in the entire nation erupted, I was in tears
- 2:13and that was sort of how I came to really truly fall in love
- 2:18with football. But with respect to match the
- 2:21shadow, of course, another Cheesman Park moment, was when
- 2:24decent Park scored vs Chelsea, I believe it was in the
- 2:27quarter-final are might have been the semi.
- 2:29I think it was quarterfinal because I think we first schalke
- 2:31in the court and the semi-final in the Champions League 2010.
- 2:352011, season Ryan Giggs finds him with a lovely pass a dink.
- 2:40Absolutely just rinses the entire Chelsea backline juicing
- 2:43Park takes the touch, similar fashion takes the chest chest.
- 2:46Touchdown this time and just drives with his left foot past,
- 2:49Petr Cech. I I was in the dorms.
- 2:52I was in college at the time and I was in the dorms.
- 2:55I remember I was screaming so loud.
- 2:57I smashed my table. I was like, just I like rip my
- 3:00shirt. I was I was going crazy and I
- 3:03had the called the ra at the time.
- 3:06So basically, somebody that like oversees the dorms, she came in.
- 3:09She was like, what the hell is going on?
- 3:10I was like, get out. I'm I'm full out.
- 3:13I'm going crazy right now. I'm watching football and I
- 3:16Remember, those two moments will always be ingrained in my
- 3:18personal memory. Nice, when I actually remember a
- 3:22video that you said, I think it was last season when I can't
- 3:26remember who scored the winner at the end, but you just scream
- 3:30when you shout it so much. And I think it was your
- 3:32grandmother that was in the place with you and she just like
- 3:36lick so confused about what whatever was happening.
- 3:38But yeah, I just, I love to see the passion and it's amazing.
- 3:42Like, yeah, actually, I'm actually, that moment was also
- 3:45very memorable, but it wasn't. As, of course, like when you're
- 3:49young, our you have all these, like, you know, memories that
- 3:51you grew up on that was a fantastic moment as well.
- 3:54It was against PSG Ratchford scored the penalty and Mary and
- 3:59I screamed and I went crazy. I was actually injured at the
- 4:01time and I was using a foam roller, and I was so upset.
- 4:05I was so emotional that I like, just Chuck the foam roller and
- 4:07it bounced, and my grandmother was actually just happened to
- 4:11walk in and she almost got hit with a foam roller.
- 4:12So she's trying to process. What the hell is going on.
- 4:15I'm screaming at the top of my voice and then there's a police.
- 4:19Who come and they're like, they knock on my door delay, excuse
- 4:22me. We've heard of somebody swearing
- 4:24excessively and looked like they were shouting and throwing
- 4:27things is everything. Alright, in a and I look so
- 4:30stupid. I'm like, you know, like
- 4:31painting. It looks like I actually had
- 4:33fought somebody and I told a police officer.
- 4:35I was like, I'm actually watching a football match and
- 4:37they laughed so hard. They were like, this is, do you
- 4:40got it. They're gonna do, you have to
- 4:41keep it down. But yeah.
- 4:42Yeah, that was another fantastic moment as well.
- 4:44But a fool again. It's the memories that we
- 4:51cherish. But yeah, we all have a couple
- 4:56of questions for you. So, I'll just get the board
- 4:59reading on my side and then we can just go down the panel and
- 5:03everybody can can can ask you a question.
- 5:05But yeah, I'm just going to go straight into Manchester United
- 5:09Century news. Also, just just a side note.
- 5:13You mentioned earlier that we all met with United fans.
- 5:16We actually I didn't Jason is a awesome.
- 5:19And and receive is a new console fan shroud.
- 5:23I thought it was a Germany sir for a split second.
- 5:28Yeah. Do you want to anger everybody
- 5:30early in the podcast and Shout that I'm actually also fan.
- 5:32So yeah, let's just do it may look for good and then we don't
- 5:36want John leaving early now finds out.
- 5:38He was lured here on false pretenses.
- 5:44Yeah, so my question is, do you think that Manchester United is
- 5:50a beta team with or without Christian Ronaldo?
- 5:54Wow, that's a, wow. That's a, that's a heavy meal
- 5:58right there. Off the start at the we're going
- 5:59to go with like a nice little business.
- 6:01Nice little appetizer. We're going straight into the
- 6:02video, cool. All right, it's a mixed
- 6:05reaction. So let's take it from a logical
- 6:08standpoint and an emotional standpoint.
- 6:10And I'll start with the emotional first because that's
- 6:12what I'm good at. I'm going to be emotional
- 6:15magistrate idea re-signing Cristiano.
- 6:17Ronaldo has always been something that has been pulling
- 6:20at the heartstrings of match excited fans for a since he even
- 6:23left. Right?
- 6:24I mean, he's been talking about, he's been teasing matches United
- 6:28fans with this idea of like, oh, I'll never say no to Manchester
- 6:30United. That's my home.
- 6:31That's my start. He's been teasing us for that
- 6:33all throughout his entire time since he's left metal shed at
- 6:36Real Madrid. Even at Juventus as well.
- 6:39He's come back a couple of times as opponents as an enemy and he
- 6:43Lord goes against us and we've had our fair share of, you know,
- 6:46suffering pain at the hands of Cristiano Ronaldo, but at the
- 6:49end of the day, he's our very own.
- 6:50He's our very own CR7. So him coming back has always
- 6:53been something that matched. My fans will always accept and
- 6:56love from an emotional standpoint from a logical
- 6:59standpoint. However, it's a bit of a tough
- 7:01question. It's a bit.
- 7:02It's not easy to say black and white that he's bad.
- 7:07Some fans think that he's bad for us because especially on the
- 7:10rang Nick. We want to play in this sort of
- 7:11aggressive style of Pressing at high intensity and high work
- 7:15great and Christian Cristiano. Ronaldo being 37 is not going to
- 7:18give you that even when he was 21 25.
- 7:21He wasn't the one running around, you know pressing
- 7:23players. That's not his style of game.
- 7:24He he likes to take the ball, dictate the tempo on his own.
- 7:27He likes to take players on and say look I own this game.
- 7:29I'm the captain nowadays. It's even less so that you're
- 7:33expecting that energy in the work, put from Cristiano
- 7:35Ronaldo. So in that case, I understand
- 7:37why some fans might be frustrated.
- 7:40But also at the same time if you actually watch the games and if
- 7:42you watch CH the the stats and you follow closely as to the
- 7:45sort of the micro details of what's been going on.
- 7:48Cristiano. Ronaldo, has been denied many
- 7:50times, easy assists, especially at the hands of Bruno Fernandez
- 7:54at the end of it, who's missing in Prague Bose.
- 7:56Mr. Ashford was missed it. So many players around him who
- 7:59just not done their part in many ways.
- 8:03So from that perspective, you can kind of tell that Cristiano
- 8:06Ronaldo in in the case that they're creating chances has
- 8:09done well and yet and other people around him, aren't you?
- 8:13Providing or aren't finishing what he's providing for them.
- 8:17At the other hand. You can also look at and say
- 8:19that Cristiano Ronaldo himself has missed many chances as well.
- 8:21So it's a very mixed result. I don't think you could just
- 8:23kind of sit here and be like, oh, it's his fault, that it was
- 8:25a great thing that he's sign or was a bad thing that he signed.
- 8:28I think the fact of the matter is, is that him signing sort of
- 8:31hindered Manchester United from moving that money into other
- 8:35asset assets, like, for example, a defensive midfielder.
- 8:37We've been looking at crying for defensive midfielder for so
- 8:40long. And yet, we still not signed.
- 8:43Somebody we've had to have, we've signed we've signed Pogba
- 8:45when he was doing dabs and shit. That was like however, long ago
- 8:48storms. He was doing an intro video and
- 8:50that was God knows how long we still don't know where his best
- 8:52position is we've signed burner Fernandez to obviously occupy
- 8:55the number 10, but other than that we have an aging message.
- 8:58We have a questionable Fred and we have a Scott makes a man who
- 9:01still not yet looking like he's you know, sort of hold the roll.
- 9:05So we don't have a clear cut idea as to who are holding
- 9:08midfielder is and I think that's played a massive Dent.
- 9:11Whether Cristiano Ronaldo has been Good sighting or a bad
- 9:13signing. Yeah, yeah, I can give you that.
- 9:18But if you look at Manchester United before the turn of the
- 9:22earth, just the, I don't know. There was, he was, he was
- 9:25playing his part. He was holding goals.
- 9:28You look sharp. And that is, mainly because
- 9:31Mason degenerate, Anthony Marshall Marcus Last that
- 9:34actuate. It is in.
- 9:35Kobani. They were all playing.
- 9:37There was a rotation happening and just, you know, that would
- 9:40give the believer that he needed.
- 9:42I mean, I think he's played before before he The city, dog
- 9:46me this weekend. I think you played about what
- 9:48four games in like 13 days or 12 days or something, which is a
- 9:53lot for a 37-year old. I mean, he didn't get much time
- 9:57to erase this body. He didn't get enough time to,
- 10:01you know, have the either direct edit these muscles the way it's
- 10:04supposed to. And I think that's a huge Point
- 10:07as to why since the turn of the Year Mason, you know, with
- 10:11everything happening with him, actually getting out the form,
- 10:14Tony Marshall being Loaned, out and Cavani taking vacations.
- 10:17We need to be wants to. I think that's that's a huge
- 10:21Factor as to why my wife is younger.
- 10:23And although, as in being hitting the ground, the ground
- 10:27rolling since the new year, new year period.
- 10:32But yeah, I just I don't know if I could just add that.
- 10:34Maybe we can if we're to conclude on this point that like
- 10:37Cristiano Ronaldo signing has its positives and negatives, but
- 10:40in an Essence, an entirety perspective, this team has had
- 10:43so many problems across the We're looking at it from a
- 10:46personal perspective to board perspective to recruitment
- 10:48perspective Cristiano. Ronaldo's questionable signing
- 10:52could potentially be one of many problems at Manchester United
- 10:55and you can sort of pinpointed it or point fingers at just one
- 10:57person. Because I think it's just I
- 10:58think this club has just been filled with problems and filled
- 11:02with holes left, right? And Center that Cristiano.
- 11:05Ronaldo signing. I think if we're looking at it
- 11:07purely from a financial perspective.
- 11:09I purchased a Christiano Ronaldo shirt.
- 11:11As soon as he was a as soon as those shirts came up and I did
- 11:14it. Received it like 4 months later.
- 11:16And this is Manchester dies, Adidas Megastore, that like,
- 11:19pumps out hundreds of thousands of shirts.
- 11:21Just goes to show that Cristiano Ronaldo's.
- 11:23I'm sure if we look at it from a financial perspective, later
- 11:25down the line where we'll find out that Cristiano Ronaldo shirt
- 11:27sales have been absolutely off the charts and like, these are
- 11:29the ideas that matches United are probably chasing for this
- 11:32idea of like Financial gains and things like that, but on the
- 11:35pitch, it's been nothing but a disaster and it's been nothing
- 11:38but headaches for fans and people involved in that we can
- 11:41understand why ringnecks out here, you know, looking like he
- 11:44just looking like he It gained like 10 years.
- 11:47This is just problem left, right and Center done.
- 11:50It's actually time to get the question across because it's
- 11:55quite related to that what you were saying and it's basically
- 11:58with regards to. My question is, are the current
- 12:01United Squad. Are they good enough and perhaps
- 12:04just not kidding, you know, we're not putting in the hard
- 12:07yards that they supposed to. Or is it the case that they
- 12:10simply just are not good enough and we need to answer that and
- 12:13face the facts and then trying to replace them.
- 12:15Going forward. So what is your view with regard
- 12:17to the current Squad? Because if I look at the way you
- 12:19played on Sunday, they were part of the game where you played
- 12:22really well and you look like you could match City and then
- 12:24they were the rest of the game where you know city was streets
- 12:28ahead and they were cruising in second gear for part of that
- 12:32game. So what is your take with
- 12:33regards to this kind of Manchester United's quite.
- 12:36The short answer is the short answer is no, we're not.
- 12:39Good enough. If you look at Manchester United
- 12:41over the years, if we're comparing magistrate idea to Sir
- 12:43Alex Ferguson magicians, out of work.
- 12:45Nowhere near good enough. For looking at Manchester
- 12:47United, just purely objectively speaking in comparison to the
- 12:50rest of the competition, especially maybe with reference
- 12:53to the top six. We're still not good enough.
- 12:54So the short answer is, no, I think we're good enough to
- 12:57challenge for top for. I think we have the squad.
- 13:00We spent, we sure as hell spent the money for it.
- 13:02We have the squat to be able to challenge for the top, for you
- 13:05mentioned the game against Manchester City on Sunday.
- 13:08We were miles. We were miles apart, in terms of
- 13:10the food, the level of quality, in the playing style, but I
- 13:13think when, When when you're a footballer, when you're an
- 13:16athlete, and I'm not trying to sound like I played in the
- 13:19Premier League, but when you're an athlete, when you get at, I
- 13:24watched I watched the video of daughter and your list is quite
- 13:27the polling in my mistake, please do not signed for
- 13:33Manchester United. Yeah, but we're talking about
- 13:39actual athletes like Premier League players.
- 13:42The pressure is insane, right? And the amount of pressure that
- 13:45modern players have as opposed to players in the past are
- 13:49completely different. So the fragility of the
- 13:51mentality of players is, is, is unquantifiable.
- 13:57So when you're looking at Players, that's especially like
- 13:59players that have been through van Gaal players that have been
- 14:01through only going to Sociology rosamaria players that have been
- 14:04through all these like, Has periods.
- 14:06Their mentality is, is so in tatters.
- 14:12You see clearly see Manchester City.
- 14:13They were, they were messing around taking one touch to touch
- 14:16passes. Looking making football looks so
- 14:18silky. And so smooth.
- 14:19I'm pretty sure certain players in Manchester United's.
- 14:22I'd have the capacity or the capability to play in that way.
- 14:26But because of their mental absolute distraught - it's not
- 14:29going to be easy for them to rebuild this confidence and
- 14:31rebuild this mental strength. That's why I be I feel like
- 14:35yeah, we might Be close to matching suit in terms of
- 14:38quality, but we at least have that bit at least push for at
- 14:41least be in top four right now. We don't and I think one of the
- 14:44reasons as to why is because mentally speaking, we're all
- 14:47over the place. They need to repair them into R.
- 14:50Ashford is a clear example of of what matches should I did is
- 14:54like right now, they don't have they don't have an idea a clue
- 14:58as to what's going wrong on the pitch.
- 15:00Yeah, we might be creating chances whatnot, but they're not
- 15:02finishing these simple chances, some of these chances that they
- 15:04should be finishing their not. Fishing raster is a clear,
- 15:07example of that. He has the ball, he could play
- 15:08it simple. But what does he decide to do?
- 15:10He decides to take this. Gareth Bale as outside touch
- 15:13with his foot and try to Sprint with an acceleration, a distance
- 15:16of, like 55 feet. Like what is he trying to?
- 15:19What is he trying to accomplish in that respect, right, from
- 15:22what, from a microscopic perspective, we have no idea
- 15:25what's going on. And if you're looking at it from
- 15:26a microcosm perspective that just shows Manchester United's
- 15:30ineffectiveness. So, quality wise, I think we're
- 15:33just awful on all aspects. Sad, I think if we're looking at
- 15:37it from a like, you know, glass half-full perspective.
- 15:39Maybe we are good enough to challenge for top four.
- 15:41But if we're looking at it, just from is magistrate, had a good
- 15:44enough is Manchester United lacking quality.
- 15:47Yes, we're not good at all. Yeah, definitely.
- 15:54I didn't know boiling the on the screen is just everything is so,
- 16:00so passionate coming over. I can feel it.
- 16:06The fact that John still waiting and I'm here in my morning
- 16:11colors. Still feeling the last from
- 16:13Sunday. Yeah, Jason.
- 16:17I don't know if you want to go next to.
- 16:21Yeah, look John obviously, wonderful to have you here and
- 16:24this this passion that you have for football.
- 16:27It's crazy. My question.
- 16:29Maybe a but different but unrelated to football, but does
- 16:34this passion extend? Two different sporting codes?
- 16:36If so, which ones in the state outside the states?
- 16:39And if there's a favorite team outside man united just Yahweh.
- 16:42Does that wait, is that like, I mean, obviously football's not
- 16:46the biggest in the u.s. Obviously trying to grow the
- 16:48game. So Waiters, Is you what is your
- 16:52interests lie in like the traditional American Sports?
- 16:56Oh, well, I appreciate that question.
- 16:57Quite a lot of. Wow.
- 16:58I'm not been on a podcast or somebody asked me.
- 17:00Some like that's fantastic. Thank you so much.
- 17:04Let's see. I grew up in America playing
- 17:06American football and basketball goes to the two sports.
- 17:09Obviously the bigger Sports here in the states.
- 17:12I fell in love with football as from a, from a spectator
- 17:14perspective because you can't, there's not really many people
- 17:17here that play football finding grass fields or even turf fields
- 17:21here in New York city is in possible.
- 17:23You know what I visited London? When I visited Manchester,
- 17:25there's five aside areas where you can come in and pay and play
- 17:29and things like that, which I found very nice.
- 17:30At least you could play five aside here in Erica in New York
- 17:33in particular, that's impossible.
- 17:35If you play football, if you have time to play football, you
- 17:37have to wake up and excuse my French, but you have to wake up
- 17:40in the ass crack of dawn because from like 6:00 a.m.
- 17:42All the way till 10 p.m. It's booked by like some team
- 17:45who has Insurance, who has a team permit on the field and you
- 17:48can't even play. So it's like it inhibited me
- 17:50from playing. So I used to play football and
- 17:51iced American football. And I used to play soccer and I
- 17:54used to get involved with a lot of other sports, but the first
- 17:57sport, of course, just answer your question that I really
- 17:59truly watch was American Football and the New York Giants
- 18:01here in America. We're is my team, but I funnily
- 18:07enough. Maybe it's just my luck.
- 18:10Every team that I sport is just ass New York Giants completely
- 18:14ask their our team that has history, but for some reason now
- 18:17they have Don't even get me started, New York Knicks.
- 18:20Another team is sort of support, but I didn't really follow as
- 18:22much as Giants, but New York Knicks, another basketball team
- 18:25and institution mind you. There's teams near New York,
- 18:28Knicks are very similar in terms of education and that from a
- 18:30commercial perspective. There are Powerhouse their team
- 18:32here in New York City in Madison Square Garden.
- 18:35The amount of Revenue that they generate being a shit.
- 18:39Team is unreal. Imagine if there were an amazing
- 18:41team, the money that would be coming in would be crazy.
- 18:43But for some reason, Manchester United and and York Knicks seems
- 18:46to share that share. That identity in that sense.
- 18:50So teams around me. I just, maybe, it's me.
- 18:52Maybe I'm the problem supporting New York teams, registered
- 18:54writing, but just overall perspective.
- 18:56Yet. I think the Giants are the
- 18:58American Football thing was a something that I really used to
- 19:01watch quite often. That, that is dope.
- 19:05That is crazy. Yeah, that is my question for
- 19:08the segment, good to hear something other than the man
- 19:11united Direction. Guy was gonna burst an artery or
- 19:14something. It sounded like he was going
- 19:23down the same path. Way.
- 19:24We're talking about the Giants and the Knicks as well.
- 19:27Yeah. Yeah, hi John.
- 19:42I hope I get this right and younger say, oh, yeah, also,
- 19:46yep, you got that, right. So my plan, my palate, cleanser
- 19:54question. Probably becomes a loss goes for
- 19:57you. So why?
- 19:59Manchester United wow? First of all palate, cleansers,
- 20:04fantastic. Oh my goodness.
- 20:06So you guys just I'm I was about to have lunch.
- 20:08I don't need that anymore. Fantastic.
- 20:10Thank you for that question. Why Manchester United?
- 20:12That's a great question. I get that question asked quite
- 20:14often for me. It was a team.
- 20:17Of course, let's look at it. Let's look at it from the facts.
- 20:19At the end of the day, Manchester United are team based
- 20:22in Manchester. So from beside the geographical
- 20:25connection, I don't really we as fans outside of Manchester have
- 20:29to find other means of connecting with the team.
- 20:32For me. It was very Well, for me, it was
- 20:34the sighting of decent Park ji, Sung Park was a player that was
- 20:37so close to my heart and a team that allowed Jesus.
- 20:40First of all, Jason park has had many issues from a very long
- 20:42time. He was supposed to go to Chelsea
- 20:44undergoes hiddink when he took over the job from PSV to Chelsea
- 20:48after the Korean national team job.
- 20:50And who knows, maybe I would have been a Chelsea fan, but for
- 20:54me the fact that Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson
- 20:57Charles Ferguson, by the way was still, he was still a force to
- 21:01be, he would even around. The time when he started, he was
- 21:04a force to be reckoned with. And in for somebody as powerful
- 21:06as Sir Alex Ferguson to trust somebody like Jesus and park for
- 21:10me was Was everything I needed to support a team.
- 21:15The reason why I fell in love with matches Shetty was the
- 21:18reception of decent Park. We've seen ji Sung Park, get
- 21:21tormented many times at PSV and I know oven, of course, you
- 21:25know, when things got better, they gave him an amazing chance,
- 21:27and yeah, whatever and things like that.
- 21:29But Asian players in particular have not found it.
- 21:31So easy, especially playing in Europe.
- 21:34There are plenty of players before Jesus and park that, you
- 21:39know, try to make their name or, you know, have Names cemented in
- 21:44the football history. Jason Park was the player that
- 21:47really for me summed it up in the sense that Asian players
- 21:50have a chance in Europe. And I think she's in part.
- 21:52Absolutely some indefinite for me and he felt he was loved and
- 21:55adored by so many Magic. Should I fans across the world?
- 21:57And I think that that to me made me feel like not only is the
- 22:00team that's our Alex Ferguson and what message that has stood
- 22:02for important, but also the fan base, I think that's very
- 22:04important for me as well. I want to know that my supporter
- 22:08base, the people that stand behind the stand alongside with
- 22:12me when we stand behind the club.
- 22:13I want to know that that fan base is willing to be open in
- 22:17terms of appreciating players. Like Jason Clarke who aren't who
- 22:22aren't Asian players, who want really large in numbers,
- 22:26especially in the Premier League.
- 22:27So that was very important for me.
- 22:28And then before I knew it, I just started falling in love
- 22:30visiting, the city of Manchester.
- 22:31Of course, they meeting The Paddock.
- 22:33Guys, the full time, that was team and, and that energy that I
- 22:36shared with them. It was so Unforgettable.
- 22:39And before I knew it, I was just locked in.
- 22:41I had so many people. I'll be here, especially in
- 22:43college. There are so many because I
- 22:46attended a university was a lot of international students.
- 22:48There are coming from all over the world and I have people from
- 22:51England. Also, Liverpool fans, Arsenal
- 22:53fans. Chelsea fans didn't have yet to
- 22:56see his to City fan, by the way, but those kinds of fans who come
- 22:59and be like, hey John, what are you come support?
- 23:01This one of you, I almost felt like I was on a show of like,
- 23:04The Bachelorette where, like I have all these guys, like,
- 23:06trying to, like, seduce me and coax me into supporting their
- 23:08team. I would go watch their games at
- 23:11a bar like an arsenal. So again at a bar or like us or
- 23:14Chelsea gamer games like this, Liverpool games and I never felt
- 23:17that energy that connection as I did with mattress United.
- 23:22So for me, that's that energy that connection that bond.
- 23:25That love as well as hey will be Eternal for me at least.
- 23:30That's fine. Yeah, that's definitely still
- 23:32have a bucket list item for me. And then we'll be in Spain to
- 23:35geography ability. So yeah, that's something I'm
- 23:38hoping to do some time in the future as well.
- 23:41But yeah, shifting away from Manchester United now for a bit.
- 23:45We'll see you in Jason. I'm just going to give you a
- 23:47sort of a blended question to the both of you both Arsenal and
- 23:52Newcastle have been on the rise over the past few weeks.
- 23:56You think this will they will be able to To sustain their form
- 24:00over the next three months or so until the season ends Jason you
- 24:05can go first. Yeah.
- 24:07Look, it's it's interesting because it comes into a period.
- 24:10Now. We also shown a little bit of
- 24:12consistency and we've spoken on this channel about how the, the
- 24:17top fours obviously locked in with the first two doing really
- 24:19well. So that enforce, this is
- 24:21literally just going to be decided by who can be most
- 24:23consistent and also have strong some good results together.
- 24:26It's great, all of that same thing.
- 24:29Into left. I think we've got of that team.
- 24:31You got, like seven games away from them.
- 24:34So, coming back to the consistency thing.
- 24:36I think if we are able to string those wins together because it
- 24:40seems happy playing with some real unity.
- 24:42And yeah, I do recall the times we also in the current like
- 24:47transitional period, very confusing face that man united
- 24:50find themselves in. Now we at, you, you watch this
- 24:53game because every game you think that could change, you
- 24:55know, literally just takes that one, two games to really change
- 24:58the And I just at sucks the life out of you sometimes, but it's
- 25:04actually been a good few weeks to be an Arsenal fan.
- 25:07And I think many people who see me now, they'd actually see me
- 25:10wearing more of my Arsenal merchandise, which is once in a
- 25:13while, you know, you have to wait it when you feel proud
- 25:16sometimes. So yeah, going to this tiny
- 25:19thing. I think we should be good to go.
- 25:21Just seeing as we don't have as much other things to whatever.
- 25:26Yeah, so it's literally just like to focus on so I'd like To
- 25:29believe that we'd be able to stick that forth in and then
- 25:32just run away with that. Hopefully fingers crossed.
- 25:35Yeah, you know, I just want to actually add to that.
- 25:37I've been watching a lot of other like football from other
- 25:40other non Manchester United Team.
- 25:41Just, I just kind of want to see if I can improve continue to
- 25:43improve. I'm so busy that I really,
- 25:45really even have time. I barely have time to just watch
- 25:48my charity games, but I made it an effort to watch.
- 25:50Other teams that I watched Arsenal play wolves, which was
- 25:52an important game for Arsenal, and as much as I personally,
- 25:57speaking, as much as I would have wanted preferred wolf.
- 25:59Has to win. I couldn't help, but feel that
- 26:02arsenal were going to win the way that they were dictating the
- 26:05game that the way that work. They were growing into that
- 26:07game. The energy that players like
- 26:09Sokka. As for me, I love players.
- 26:11Like, I know Smith wrote players like that, who continue to fight
- 26:14and who continue to show the positivity?
- 26:17That's what you want to see on a team that's fighting and you can
- 26:20and four matches United fans in particular.
- 26:22There. We have no we have every reason
- 26:24to be afraid because Arsenal right now are on the incline and
- 26:27with conviction. That's the most important thing.
- 26:29That fight. I mean, I've seen over the
- 26:31years. How many times met our Arsenal
- 26:33fans have slagged off? Lacazette that game against
- 26:36wolves. Lacazette was doing so much to
- 26:38create and when he scored that goal and then I was like, okay,
- 26:41let me know when they when he got to that point it towards the
- 26:44end. I think it might actually might
- 26:46have been an own goal. But I think it was like is
- 26:47actually finished it but I remember thinking.
- 26:50Wow, this is scary because the like the way they were
- 26:53celebrating the passion and the fight that they had throughout
- 26:56the entirety of the match because wolf side.
- 26:59Whoops, I did they I think they kind of, you know, messed it up
- 27:02on their own. And because I think once they
- 27:04had that lead, and once they felt like, okay, this kind of
- 27:06this game is kind of getting, you know, be taken away from us.
- 27:08They just completely locked in and I think it was our souls for
- 27:10the taking but that energy was. So I was jealous of that.
- 27:14I mean the fact that Martinelli was while flying around the
- 27:17place. The fact that Nicholas Pepe came
- 27:18on and scored a goal. The fact that all these Good
- 27:21Vibes were happening. For Arsenal, made mention.
- 27:23I defense feel a little more comfortable.
- 27:25And I and to be quite honest with you, this this fight for
- 27:28Manchester. Is going to be difficult,
- 27:30especially the top four with Arsenal playing so well, yeah.
- 27:33Yeah, definitely. Assuming you want to be around
- 27:37us of on your discussion today? Yep, with regards to do cause I
- 27:41think it's a similar cases to Austin.
- 27:44I think it's a club that's going on the app and with 80 are
- 27:48coming in. I think it took some time
- 27:50because it's a similar situation to again Manchester United Way,
- 27:54the mentality of the team was so down that the players had no
- 27:57confidence. They had no tactics.
- 27:59No, there was no system under Steve, Bruce.
- 28:01Arena, video came in he needed. Too slowly, you know, implant is
- 28:06towards his vision, for the club, the style of football,
- 28:08that he wanted to play and that took time, but now that it's
- 28:11been installed in the team, we can see that there's already
- 28:15been some consistency and beaten in 2022.
- 28:18I'd games unbeaten at the moment.
- 28:20So it shows that there's already been some sort of consistency
- 28:22because we normally play one or two games, and, you know, a
- 28:25defeat is around the corner. So I think we can definitely
- 28:29between now. And the end of the season,
- 28:30maintain this consistency. We obviously lose a few games.
- 28:33Here, and they have no doubt, but I think the fact that it's
- 28:37got the spine of the team, very strong.
- 28:39Now, to see the backs of playing very well.
- 28:42The full-backs are doing well as well.
- 28:43And then it's got a Midfield three of Joe Linton Charles V
- 28:46and will occur are doing exceptionally well as well.
- 28:48So when you've got a spine that strong and everyone, you know,
- 28:51knowing the it'll be watch the game recently.
- 28:54We while the striker was was covering food with one of the
- 28:59winners who basically went up the field and just everyone Just
- 29:03knows that all now, you know, we we, as previously it was kind of
- 29:07all over the show. So I think that should lend
- 29:10itself to see us be more consistent with.
- 29:13Now, the end of the season, I should, we I think we should be
- 29:15fine with regards to safety for the season.
- 29:19Yeah. I'm just just last point there.
- 29:22Sorry, if it's that by that Newcastle have, which I feel to
- 29:28man United's case. It's partially I don't think
- 29:31everybody's bought into right Nick in the short period.
- 29:33Yet and it seems like this is that half heartedness in the
- 29:37team and obviously he's he's under the showtime.
- 29:41Contact, moving to different position getting somebody else.
- 29:44I think that's definitely what might separate in this next few
- 29:47weeks coming up. Is if everybody, okay, I can
- 29:48just find the situation that we are in.
- 29:50Let's try and get out of it. Let's sort it out over the
- 29:52summer. Let's do this.
- 29:53And that I think that would definitely separate and it could
- 29:56possibly move them into a stronger pushing for.
- 30:00Yeah, I mean they still Champions League.
- 30:02Nobody knows Cup competitions, weird.
- 30:03Interleague. So, yeah, it's definitely there
- 30:09Clark. I think that's the difference
- 30:10between hiding an interim manager and hiring.
- 30:12A permanent manager. Permanent manager.
- 30:15You can buy into, you know, who's going to be there for the
- 30:17next two to three years. Avoiding.
- 30:20The badges are speculating with video.
- 30:22I think that they saw a certain sort of vision that he's laid
- 30:27out. And I think the players are 42
- 30:30with them interview like injured and like, even In that, whatever
- 30:34it is Irv's, that they have, they breaking, they're breaking
- 30:37the about for, for the team. They putting in the hard yards.
- 30:41And I mean, they, in terms of quality.
- 30:45They under base path. They are hardworking and they
- 30:48they get the job done. And I think that's all that you
- 30:51that you want and all that you need in a delegation scrap.
- 30:55And yeah, I completely agree. I think, I think very skeptic
- 30:58dropping. I think they escaped it quite
- 31:00comfortably come into the season.
- 31:03But yeah, I think that's all that we have time for today.
