Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: There is a pig that has gone viral on the
- 0:13Speaker 1: internet because this pig has learned to communicate. It has
- 0:17Speaker 1: learned to talk using buttons. And you maybe have seen
- 0:21Speaker 1: dogs who do this or whatever. I have never seen
- 0:24Speaker 1: a pig do this.
- 0:25Speaker 2: But gigs are smarter than dogs.
- 0:27Speaker 1: How fun would this be if you had a pig,
- 0:31Speaker 1: a dog, cat that could do this?
- 0:34Speaker 2: What do you want? If you're on a diet, remember.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It says I wants some food please. Obviously you hear
- 0:49Speaker 1: it say no, and then up piece chocolate, Up piece chocolate,
- 0:52Speaker 1: which is hilarious.
- 0:53Speaker 3: Oh that's so great. See me and that pig have
- 0:57Speaker 3: a lot.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Of cut If your pets could talk, what do you
- 1:01Speaker 1: think like the first thing they'd say to you is
- 1:04Speaker 1: seven oh one two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 1:08Speaker 1: We also do have this up on Facebook. Now, Angie,
- 1:11Speaker 1: you don't currently have any pets, but at one point
- 1:13Speaker 1: you had a pet pig.
- 1:14Speaker 2: I got a pig. His name was Willie, I ip Willy.
- 1:18Speaker 2: He was a real one.
- 1:19Speaker 3: I used to make him oatmeal cookies and big huge
- 1:22Speaker 3: pots of rice with stewed tomatoes. He was so wonderful,
- 1:25Speaker 3: but he never told me exactly what he wanted.
- 1:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:29Speaker 1: I actually texted my wife this morning and I was like, Hey,
- 1:31Speaker 1: if Wanona could talk, and we have a few other
- 1:34Speaker 1: pets as well, but you.
- 1:35Speaker 5: Only care about wein Nona the dog. That's the one
- 1:37Speaker 5: I talk about the most, that's for sure. If Wona
- 1:42Speaker 5: could talk, what do you think she would say? Well,
- 1:44Speaker 5: Winona has been so spoiled her entire life and this
- 1:49Speaker 5: when I Yeah, when I asked Corey what she would say, her.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Response was so on point.
- 1:54Speaker 1: I thought it might be something like, let's go play
- 1:56Speaker 1: fetch er, Like yeah, I have a greenie or whatever.
- 2:00Speaker 1: Corey was like, let's go get a pop cup my dog.
- 2:06Speaker 1: When we go through any drive through, any doesn't matter
- 2:09Speaker 1: if it's Culver's, McDonald's, the coffee place, Sandy's, whatever, she
- 2:15Speaker 1: forces her head out of the window expecting a pup cup.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I'm almost positive she looks up at me and says,
- 2:23Speaker 1: pop cup, peasant and then expects it.
- 2:27Speaker 2: It's crazy, but you did that, You conditioned her to
- 2:30Speaker 2: that life.
- 2:31Speaker 4: You're right, it's my fault. I am the problem.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Get Ready, when you have your baby who comes into
- 2:36Speaker 3: this world in the summer, especially because you're gonna be
- 2:40Speaker 3: a girl, dad, she is going to have you wrapped
- 2:42Speaker 3: around her finger and she's gonna get.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Whatever she wants. Yeah, but Wanona is just training you.
- 2:48Speaker 4: That's right, Sandy. What would your pet say? My cat
- 2:52Speaker 4: would just whisper you live here because I allow it.
- 2:55Speaker 6: And then how do we ask why I cry in the.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Kitchen at eleven pm?
- 2:58Speaker 4: Which flas that does?
- 3:00Speaker 1: And you know, wow, and I have cats as well,
- 3:03Speaker 1: and it would ask you why you're crying in the
- 3:05Speaker 1: kitchen with a smirk.
- 3:05Speaker 4: And it's not like comfort.
- 3:07Speaker 6: Yow celebrating life's little victories victory every morning we practice
- 3:16Speaker 6: gratitude on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 3:18Speaker 2: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 3:20Speaker 2: plastic job busted out whenever someone's acting hard and I.
- 3:24Speaker 6: Just really needed to win. You know, sure your little
- 3:26Speaker 6: victories with us at seven oh one two eight A
- 3:29Speaker 6: one ninety eight seven.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Angie, do you have a little victory for us from
- 3:33Speaker 1: the weekend. I'm sure you got something to pick from.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Oh I do, In fact, my little victory I'll keep
- 3:38Speaker 3: it quick.
- 3:39Speaker 2: But my little victory is the entire weekend itself.
- 3:42Speaker 3: It is the best weekend that I think my entire
- 3:46Speaker 3: family has had in twenty twenty six.
- 3:48Speaker 4: Oh wow, Yeah, I got.
- 3:50Speaker 3: To go thrifty with your wife and we hit up everywhere.
- 3:53Speaker 3: We went to my best friend's closet, we went to
- 3:56Speaker 3: clothes mentor, we went to New Life Center, and we
- 4:00Speaker 3: of course found things at every location, so that was
- 4:04Speaker 3: a delight shocking.
- 4:06Speaker 1: I did see some of the things that were brought
- 4:08Speaker 1: back to the house for baby g which was pretty cool.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yes, that was so cool. See it was worth it,
- 4:14Speaker 2: that's right.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I'm the person though, if you go shopping with me,
- 4:18Speaker 3: I will always encourage you to buy it.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Yeah, I have any I literally have not looked at
- 4:23Speaker 1: our joint bank account from that day because I don't
- 4:27Speaker 1: know if I want to see the damage from don't.
- 4:30Speaker 2: And then Mikey and Mikey and I had a date night.
- 4:34Speaker 3: We went and hung out at Frank's Lounge. You know,
- 4:36Speaker 3: that's our spot, that's right. And then gosh, what else
- 4:39Speaker 3: did we do?
- 4:39Speaker 6: Oh?
- 4:40Speaker 3: We went to Sweet Shots yesterday, took the kids there.
- 4:43Speaker 2: And we had a blast. And then we went to
- 4:46Speaker 2: that park.
- 4:46Speaker 3: I don't know what it's called, but that park by
- 4:48Speaker 3: the Burger King on fifty second.
- 4:49Speaker 4: Sure.
- 4:50Speaker 3: We just spent like two and a half hours out
- 4:53Speaker 3: there playing frisbee running around, and I got to see
- 4:56Speaker 3: some of my mom friends. It was just such a fun,
- 5:00Speaker 3: amazing weekend. The whole thing just a delight. So yeah,
- 5:04Speaker 3: that's my little big I feel so energized for today.
- 5:08Speaker 2: I mean, like the best spirits ever. What about you, Gabe,
- 5:10Speaker 2: what's your little big day?
- 5:11Speaker 4: Well, I love that for you, my little victory.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Yesterday, I got to participate as a judge at Salon
- 5:18Speaker 1: ninety five.
- 5:19Speaker 4: They do these really.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Fun competitions with food or desserts or whatever, you know,
- 5:24Speaker 1: every week or every other week or whatever it is,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and once in a while, you know, I get asked
- 5:28Speaker 1: to go be a judge at one of those.
- 5:30Speaker 4: In yesterday was incredible.
- 5:32Speaker 1: It was a potato competition, so there was everything from
- 5:36Speaker 1: potato salad to just pure potatoes hash browns. There was
- 5:42Speaker 1: a potato soup, which of course I gave a perfect score.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It was such a fun time and it was really cool.
- 5:50Speaker 1: You know, they had the basketball games on. I was
- 5:52Speaker 1: there with a coworker of ours, Farley, who we love dearly,
- 5:56Speaker 1: and it was just a good time.
- 5:57Speaker 4: It was really really cool. I had a blast and
- 5:58Speaker 4: I was glad to be a part of it.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Oh my gosh Potato palooza.
- 6:02Speaker 4: Oh it was wonderful.
- 6:03Speaker 2: I can't believe I missed it. But as a carbo,
- 6:06Speaker 2: I love this for you.
- 6:10Speaker 4: This is am I the problem.
- 6:13Speaker 2: It's me.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Him on the problem, it's me.
- 6:17Speaker 6: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help,
- 6:20Speaker 6: am I the problem with you? Decide if it's right
- 6:22Speaker 6: or if maybe you're the problem.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I'm hardly the problem.
- 6:26Speaker 6: On Big ninety eight point seven.
- 6:29Speaker 3: We had Jake right into us. Hey, Gabe and Angie,
- 6:32Speaker 3: this is Jake. I got into a serious argument with
- 6:35Speaker 3: my girl after a silly argument because during the silly argument,
- 6:39Speaker 3: she said her best friend and her dude don't ever
- 6:42Speaker 3: fight ever.
- 6:43Speaker 2: I called bs.
- 6:44Speaker 3: But I also said that any couple that never fights
- 6:47Speaker 3: is actually in a bad, unrealistic relationship. She said she
- 6:51Speaker 3: feels like their relationship is healthier than ours because we
- 6:54Speaker 3: argue and they don't.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Don't you guys think I'm right?
- 6:57Speaker 4: I like how he worded that.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Don't you guys think I'm right about that couple? Or
- 7:01Speaker 3: does my girl have a point? How do you feel
- 7:05Speaker 3: about this, Gabe?
- 7:08Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 7:09Speaker 1: I would agree with him kind of we I think
- 7:12Speaker 1: couples who say they never fight, Uh, realistically, probably do.
- 7:16Speaker 3: They just do it better, right, it's better communication style.
- 7:21Speaker 1: It's like things that are like way de escalated. And
- 7:25Speaker 1: but you're gonna have disagreements with someone you're around a
- 7:28Speaker 1: lot and live with or move in with or whatever
- 7:30Speaker 1: every single day. It's not necessarily the amount of fighting
- 7:35Speaker 1: that takes place, I think in relationship. It's just how
- 7:37Speaker 1: you fight. Yeah, it's a good way to do it
- 7:40Speaker 1: and a bad way to do it.
- 7:42Speaker 3: I feel like I agree with that. Seven oh one two,
- 7:44Speaker 3: eight oh one, nine eight seven.
- 7:46Speaker 2: What are your thoughts?
- 7:47Speaker 3: Do you think a couple that never argues is actually
- 7:49Speaker 3: an unrealistic couple that's fake af or do you think
- 7:54Speaker 3: that she has a point?
- 7:56Speaker 1: And I'm gonna sound like such a dude here, but
- 7:58Speaker 1: is it like a fool? Are you talking like a
- 8:00Speaker 1: full blown argument where there's like yelling, like that's obviously
- 8:03Speaker 1: never good. It's like bickering. Yes, bickering isn't really an argument.
- 8:08Speaker 1: I bicker with Angie every day, and I don't think
- 8:10Speaker 1: we've ever been in a fight.
- 8:12Speaker 3: No, just that one time I punched you square in
- 8:14Speaker 3: your face. Yeah it was physical, Yeah it.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Was it was rude, and it hurts seven one two
- 8:20Speaker 1: eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 8:22Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 8:22Speaker 1: I think you know there's no magic amount of fighting
- 8:25Speaker 1: that needs to take place, it's just how you do it.
- 8:27Speaker 3: I actually think neither of the people in this scenario
- 8:31Speaker 3: are the problem. I'll tell you who the real problem
- 8:34Speaker 3: is coming up.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Jake got into an argument with.
- 8:42Speaker 3: His girlfriend because his girlfriend said that her best friend
- 8:47Speaker 3: and her dude never argue, and he said, no, if
- 8:51Speaker 3: a couple doesn't argue, that's unrealistic and that's not a
- 8:55Speaker 3: good couple. And she said, no, they're healthier than us
- 8:59Speaker 3: because they don't argue.
- 9:01Speaker 2: So whose side are you on?
- 9:04Speaker 3: I don't think that her best friend is being truthful.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I think the problem is Jake's girlfriend's bestie also Jake.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Nor No, I think the bestie is lying.
- 9:17Speaker 3: I think the bestie is a liar. There is no
- 9:20Speaker 3: way that in any relationship you've never argued once. Now,
- 9:26Speaker 3: maybe you've had disagreements and you like to think, well,
- 9:29Speaker 3: that's not arguing, but like you have to be honest
- 9:32Speaker 3: about what you can't have always agreed on everything. Me
- 9:35Speaker 3: and Mike we've been together for however long, and I'm
- 9:38Speaker 3: obsessed with him, and we love each other so much,
- 9:41Speaker 3: but we do disagree on things. And I wouldn't say
- 9:43Speaker 3: we don't have like screaming matches or anything, but we
- 9:46Speaker 3: definitely have discussions that could be considered arguments.
- 9:51Speaker 2: But we don't fight dirty.
- 9:52Speaker 3: So if the bestie would say we don't fight dirty,
- 9:56Speaker 3: that makes sense to me, sure, But to say that.
- 9:59Speaker 2: You don't I at all. I just think you're a liar.
- 10:02Speaker 3: I think, Jake, you need to tell your girlfriend your
- 10:04Speaker 3: bestie is.
- 10:05Speaker 1: A liar, which could potentially lead to some type of arguments,
- 10:09Speaker 1: so just be careful.
- 10:10Speaker 4: Ah.
- 10:11Speaker 1: We had Brittany who texted us and said, arguments and
- 10:14Speaker 1: disagreements are normal, it's growth. Comparing to other relationships is garbage.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Never do that, and that is very true.
- 10:23Speaker 3: They do say, what is that saying comparison is the
- 10:26Speaker 3: thief of joy?
- 10:28Speaker 4: You're asking me to nail us saying that.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Okay, Well, comparison is the thief of joy.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Like, don't compare yourself to other people because what you
- 10:38Speaker 3: have gone on could be great, But the second you
- 10:41Speaker 3: start comparing to someone else who has something different than
- 10:43Speaker 3: you that may be considered better, then you're like ruining
- 10:46Speaker 3: what you have.
- 10:47Speaker 2: So I agree with Brittany.
- 10:49Speaker 4: Was that Brittany, Yes, that was Brittany.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Brittany.
- 10:51Speaker 1: And you know what, we have Julia, who normally is
- 10:53Speaker 1: on the side of Angie, but she starts this out
- 10:57Speaker 1: in the best way she could.
- 10:58Speaker 4: I agree with Gate.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Why Julia said arguing can be healthy and normal as
- 11:05Speaker 1: long as you were hearing each other and remembering you
- 11:07Speaker 1: and your partner are on the same team. That is
- 11:10Speaker 1: good advice. At the end of the day, you and
- 11:12Speaker 1: your partner, you're a duo. You know, you're a team,
- 11:16Speaker 1: You're a you are a teammate. It's not me versus you.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I think that was one of the things like I
- 11:22Speaker 3: really had to shift my thinking.
- 11:24Speaker 2: My previous relationship was not great.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Obviously it did not last, and someone had given me
- 11:29Speaker 3: that advice that you are a team. So are you
- 11:32Speaker 3: attacking each other or are you attacking the problem?
- 11:35Speaker 4: Right? And I also are two very different things.
- 11:39Speaker 3: So if he's your teammate, you're attacking the problem together.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where it's at.
- 11:43Speaker 1: And then just to make you feel better here Angie,
- 11:45Speaker 1: Stephanie starts with I agree with Angie.
- 11:48Speaker 2: Oh, there we go.
- 11:49Speaker 1: Val the girl is not being totally honest all couples
- 11:53Speaker 1: have disagreements, which is true? Would it be impossible to
- 11:58Speaker 1: be in a serious relationship not disagree on things?
- 12:02Speaker 4: I mean, is that even doable?
- 12:04Speaker 6: Not?
- 12:04Speaker 3: Well, maybe if your partner is an AI chat But
- 12:08Speaker 3: oh yeah you're dating like Siri or something.
- 12:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and you're good.
- 12:11Speaker 4: Yeah seven oh.
- 12:12Speaker 1: One two eight zero one nine eight seven time in
- 12:15Speaker 1: let us know here this morning. Maybe you have a
- 12:17Speaker 1: relationship where you and your partner never fight or it
- 12:19Speaker 1: feels like you never disagree. All right, let us know
- 12:22Speaker 1: about it here this morning on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Yeah, So Sunday is Easter, and it's earlier than normal.
- 12:31Speaker 2: I can't believe it's April fifth is Easter?
- 12:34Speaker 4: When is Easter normally later in April.
- 12:39Speaker 3: Back it's like weirdly early, and so normally I wait.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Until literally this Saturday before.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yeah, to get Easter basket stuffed together. But I took
- 12:50Speaker 3: myself to the store yesterday. But I did ask on
- 12:53Speaker 3: the Big ninety eight point seven facebook page what unique
- 12:56Speaker 3: items does the Easter Bunny put in your kid's back baskets?
- 13:00Speaker 3: Because I wanted some ideas for baskets of my own.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Every year, I do uh swim trunks for the boys,
- 13:06Speaker 3: because I know they're gonna need them. I try to
- 13:08Speaker 3: do items that I know that they will need anyway, and.
- 13:11Speaker 2: Then I can just put them in an Easter basket
- 13:13Speaker 2: and say, look at all the stuff that you got.
- 13:15Speaker 6: Hut.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, but we did get a lot of really.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Great answers on the Big ninety eight point seven facebook
- 13:21Speaker 3: page also let us know what unique items does the
- 13:24Speaker 3: Easter Bunny end up putting in.
- 13:25Speaker 2: Your kid's baskets?
- 13:26Speaker 3: Seven on one two eight oh one, nine eight seven
- 13:29Speaker 3: Pam is putting chok lip gloss, pencils, small lego sets,
- 13:34Speaker 3: and fidget toys.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Like yes, I like that.
- 13:38Speaker 3: I like that a lot of these are avoiding candy.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I feel like kids get so much candy on Easter
- 13:44Speaker 3: that I try I try to only have some candy in,
- 13:47Speaker 3: like the eggs for the Easter egg Hunt, and that's it.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Uh Mara or Mara said that her kid is getting
- 13:55Speaker 3: bath bombs, a Hunt tricks hat, and some scrun cheese.
- 13:59Speaker 4: All right.
- 14:00Speaker 3: I like that, And then I like seeing that the
- 14:02Speaker 3: older kids also get Easter baskets because I'm assuming this
- 14:06Speaker 3: is not for.
- 14:07Speaker 2: A little child.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Cheryl is getting her kid under armour and Nike flip flops.
- 14:13Speaker 4: I could use something I like that flops.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Actually, do you want your wife to make you an
- 14:16Speaker 2: Easter basket?
- 14:18Speaker 1: That would be not I think she did once, just
- 14:22Speaker 1: never again, I'm pretty sure.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Well, now you can save it all up for when
- 14:26Speaker 3: baby G comes to town is born.
- 14:29Speaker 4: Yeah right.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I would recommend not putting the movie Men in Black
- 14:33Speaker 1: in your in the Easter basket. I got that from
- 14:36Speaker 1: the Easter Bunny one year in About twenty five minutes
- 14:39Speaker 1: into it, my mom went, WHOA, that might have been
- 14:43Speaker 1: a mistake.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Well, I think these days we're not putting DVDs in
- 14:47Speaker 3: an Easter basket.
- 14:48Speaker 4: Very true. Seven oh one two eight zero one nine
- 14:51Speaker 4: eight seven.
- 14:52Speaker 1: What unique items does the Easter money put in your
- 14:55Speaker 1: kid's basket?
- 14:56Speaker 4: Let us know this morning.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Also, if you're looking for ideas, head to the Big
- 14:59Speaker 3: ninety points out the Facebook page. There are so many
- 15:01Speaker 3: good ones in case you haven't gotten those Easter baskets together.
- 15:10Speaker 6: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 15:14Speaker 6: good News on Big ninety eight point seven.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Concordia College's Special Olympics College Club meets every Monday, bringing
- 15:23Speaker 1: together students and athletes with intellectual disabilities to play sports,
- 15:27Speaker 1: learn skills, and build friendships. The club was founded by
- 15:31Speaker 1: junior Austin Felman, who continues to lead activities, grow membership,
- 15:35Speaker 1: and raise funds. Felman's work has made a big impact
- 15:38Speaker 1: on campus and in the community, earning him the More
- 15:41Speaker 1: Heart Award from the Moorhead City Council. The club also
- 15:45Speaker 1: partners with college athletic teams to teach different sports and
- 15:48Speaker 1: promote inclusion and overall, the program creates meaningful connections between
- 15:53Speaker 1: students and athletes while promoting fun, teamwork and community involvement.
- 15:58Speaker 2: I love this.
- 15:59Speaker 3: Inclusivity is so important and I love anyone.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Who tries to facilitate that. That's amazing.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Yeah, a big.
- 16:05Speaker 1: Shout out to that young man Felman for basically starting
- 16:08Speaker 1: this thing and just continuing on to help grow and
- 16:12Speaker 1: build it.
- 16:12Speaker 4: It's pretty sweet to see.
- 16:13Speaker 1: Don't forget my favorite quote, broken crayons still color, and
- 16:17Speaker 1: the world is full of nice people.
- 16:18Speaker 4: If you can't find one, you gotta be
