- 0:12Speaker 1: Hi, guys, Welcome to another episode of Diamonds in the Rep.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Hey babe, Hey, I don't even know what to say
- 0:21Speaker 2: other than it's been rough.
- 0:22Speaker 1: Could our name be any more fitting than it is?
- 0:26Speaker 2: Can how many times I've thought about this? This is like,
- 0:29Speaker 2: could our name be any more fitting?
- 0:31Speaker 1: I mean it, I can tell you this, Like even
- 0:34Speaker 1: in my worst of times, I was like, I really
- 0:37Speaker 1: missed doing the pod with Erica okod And they're like,
- 0:41Speaker 1: you need to wait a second, Like you have a
- 0:44Speaker 1: like you your brain is swelling right now, You're on
- 0:48Speaker 1: a ton of salt pills and pred in the zone
- 0:51Speaker 1: and you're still in the ICU, which I like didn't
- 0:55Speaker 1: really comprehend it. I'm like, what we could do it
- 0:58Speaker 1: from here, Let's bring the mics in.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Oh no, I heard, I heard. I heard you were
- 1:02Speaker 2: ready to work from the ICU. And they were like no, no, no, no, no.
- 1:05Speaker 2: You know I was in New York when we were
- 1:07Speaker 2: doing the pod and then you left this really heartbreaking
- 1:13Speaker 2: voice note that you had a migraine, you can't walk
- 1:16Speaker 2: and you can't see. But this guy's like this wasn't
- 1:20Speaker 2: like hey I have a headache. This was like a
- 1:22Speaker 2: voice that I had never heard come out of your mouth,
- 1:25Speaker 2: and it just sounded like you were in a ton
- 1:28Speaker 2: of pain. And then everything happened after that, but it
- 1:32Speaker 2: you know, obviously, I started thinking back, like how long
- 1:37Speaker 2: have you and I been sitting across from each other?
- 1:39Speaker 2: And did I miss something? I know that sounds so crazy,
- 1:42Speaker 2: but I kept saying. I kept replaying in my mind,
- 1:47Speaker 2: looking like going through every detail. Her hands weren't chake, Like,
- 1:51Speaker 2: did I miss something? Like how could you sit here
- 1:54Speaker 2: with me for months and be so clear and then
- 1:57Speaker 2: the next day, hey, I'm in the hospital. I've never
- 2:01Speaker 2: been going on for six months to a year exactly.
- 2:03Speaker 2: That's what I kept thinking, Like, we've been doing this
- 2:05Speaker 2: pod like when I stood in for a tamar for
- 2:08Speaker 2: like the and now this emon's in the roof, We've
- 2:10Speaker 2: been doing it for like six seven months. That means
- 2:12Speaker 2: that whole time they were growing and you showed zero
- 2:16Speaker 2: fucking signs of it, well at least to me while
- 2:19Speaker 2: I was here. I don't know what happens, you know,
- 2:21Speaker 2: outside but in front of me two feet away from me,
- 2:25Speaker 2: and yes, you're going through separation and all of that
- 2:27Speaker 2: other stuff, which but there was never any type of
- 2:30Speaker 2: thing that I was like, huh, that's interesting, or wow,
- 2:33Speaker 2: is Teddy? Is there something? I would say nothing, But.
- 2:35Speaker 1: I'm not like more a complainer type. But I definitely
- 2:38Speaker 1: had felt headaches for a very very long time.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Did you think they were normal or were they just bad?
- 2:44Speaker 2: And you chalked it up to stress?
- 2:45Speaker 1: I chalked it up to stress, and I would take
- 2:48Speaker 1: one thousand like leaves or motrons, and I was just
- 2:52Speaker 1: trying to kind of figure it out. And then where
- 2:55Speaker 1: it got really bad that day was when I was
- 2:59Speaker 1: with Tamraknew and so anyways, so I go to the
- 3:14Speaker 1: horse show. I'm leaky the first day upset. I asked
- 3:17Speaker 1: the doctor. He says, I can ride. Then I speak
- 3:20Speaker 1: to a friend of mine and she said, you know,
- 3:22Speaker 1: my mom's had this and she hasn't wanted to leave
- 3:26Speaker 1: the house for seven months. And that's when I was like,
- 3:29Speaker 1: you know, I got to take care of my mental health.
- 3:31Speaker 1: I want to ride, I want to see my friend,
- 3:33Speaker 1: I want to do some I mean, I'm only podcasting
- 3:36Speaker 1: twice a week now, where every day like every day,
- 3:40Speaker 1: multiple shows and it'll switch, it'll go back, but like
- 3:43Speaker 1: we're taking everything slow because well because because there's you know,
- 3:49Speaker 1: it's better to It's better to come back when.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Well, I think you can, you don't. You also don't
- 3:54Speaker 2: need to be tired. You're already fighting, you know what
- 3:56Speaker 2: I mean? So your podcast is should be fun and light.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Does that make sense? Like something that you enjoyed doing it?
- 4:01Speaker 1: Yeah? So I have been fighting and doing the best
- 4:05Speaker 1: that I can, and some days I feel shitty and
- 4:07Speaker 1: some days I can't. I don't, but the kids are good,
- 4:10Speaker 1: life is good, So I'm pretty happy. How does it
- 4:15Speaker 1: feel to be back in La?
- 4:17Speaker 2: I was happy to come home.
- 4:18Speaker 1: You're ready?
- 4:19Speaker 2: Yeah? It was nice to go, and it's always nice
- 4:21Speaker 2: to come home. I love going. I had a great
- 4:25Speaker 2: time while I was on Broadway. Thank you to everybody
- 4:26Speaker 2: that came to the shows. But I was happy to
- 4:28Speaker 2: come home. Yeah.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Okay, so this is a big topic besides R h
- 4:36Speaker 1: OBH and Broadway. You've oh yeah, I forgot what you
- 4:42Speaker 1: filmed with Denise I did. It's weird you didn't mention
- 4:46Speaker 1: that in any of the six to seven months we
- 4:48Speaker 1: were potting.
- 4:49Speaker 2: I wasn't allowed m hm, teddy whatever.
- 4:55Speaker 1: I'm pretty sure you told me about some other things
- 4:57Speaker 1: that you're not allowed to tell me.
- 4:58Speaker 2: So, oh, dide. Come on, Wow, you know what I
- 5:03Speaker 2: was like, I know.
- 5:04Speaker 1: That dirty dog. Didn't mention one little peep. Guess what
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'm doing on Thursday?
- 5:10Speaker 2: Well, I wasn't allowed to talk about.
- 5:14Speaker 1: She had laryng ngidas. She couldn't tell me I haven't.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I mean, I thought it was nineteen ninety nine, you
- 5:20Speaker 2: know what. So there you go, that's going to be
- 5:22Speaker 2: your new thing nineteen ninety nine.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Well, I did hear the show is good and apparently
- 5:27Speaker 1: news to me, me and Denise are no longer in
- 5:31Speaker 1: a feud because she was reaching out to me. I
- 5:33Speaker 1: didn't know she was, but Kyle told me. I got
- 5:36Speaker 1: to give a shout out to Sutton. I don't know
- 5:38Speaker 1: if you're getting along with her or not. You don't
- 5:39Speaker 1: have to answer.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I know she reached out to Kyle right away too.
- 5:42Speaker 1: But she gave me two excellent recommendations nice and that
- 5:47Speaker 1: has changed the course of how I've been feeling. So
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm very grateful to Sutton for that. I did appreciate
- 5:53Speaker 1: the help, So thank you, Sutton. I can tell you
- 5:56Speaker 1: it was crickets from Garcel. Didn't hear one peep, not
- 6:00Speaker 1: one person told me that they were checking in through
- 6:04Speaker 1: any sort of interwebs either, but not to be shocked.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And then we got to get into Chrissy Teagan, she said,
- 6:13Speaker 1: and watch what Happens Live that you, Erica are her
- 6:17Speaker 1: most desired Bravo love to have on a panel at
- 6:20Speaker 1: Bravo Con, that she would want to monitor you.
- 6:25Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, we've never met, but we have messaged
- 6:30Speaker 2: each other on Instagram and stuff like that. I think
- 6:34Speaker 2: that Chrissy is, you know, Chrissy somebody, that's her personality.
- 6:39Speaker 2: What you see, what you get.
- 6:40Speaker 1: She made the press because she said she responded to
- 6:44Speaker 1: hateful comments on Instagram, saying, honestly, like what happened to
- 6:47Speaker 1: just thinking things? Remember thinking things like you'd go through
- 6:51Speaker 1: a magazine you'd be like, oh that person looks like shit.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Oh I would never have that haircut. Those teeth suck
- 6:56Speaker 1: like we all used to do it, but.
- 6:59Speaker 2: You can't or say it. Yeah, oh like It's it's
- 7:03Speaker 2: one thing to have that inner monologue, but if you
- 7:07Speaker 2: let it out, either speaking or writing it down, that's
- 7:11Speaker 2: where you get in trouble. Yeah, well especially now that's
- 7:14Speaker 2: my point.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Did you sign up yet for the for the apps?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Okay, so.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Before you got sick, I thought we were handling.
- 7:23Speaker 2: This well, we were, but god has been five weeks.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I have been out of the Runnings for five weeks.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Hold on nothing, no.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Girl, hold on, I'm doing shit.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I know we're talking. We're worried about you. Fuck my
- 7:38Speaker 2: dating life. I just I got I made it all
- 7:41Speaker 2: the way on the profile to Hinge, but I didn't
- 7:44Speaker 2: remember when I called you and I said the pictures
- 7:47Speaker 2: And I said, you probably don't know if you remember this.
- 7:48Speaker 2: I said, what pictures do I upload? And You're like,
- 7:51Speaker 2: you know what, Eric, could just be yourself because you
- 7:54Speaker 2: had told me that you had uploaded a series of
- 7:57Speaker 2: pictures and that Hinge had given you as to which
- 8:00Speaker 2: ones it thinks would do best for your profile. And
- 8:03Speaker 2: we had this discussion and I said to you know what,
- 8:05Speaker 2: I just don't have anything other than what I am,
- 8:08Speaker 2: which is this, and and you were like, you know what,
- 8:12Speaker 2: Then that's exactly what you said. You haven't done it,
- 8:16Speaker 2: no I have it, which means maybe I'm not taking
- 8:18Speaker 2: it that seriously.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Maybe you already are hooking up with someone that you
- 8:22Speaker 1: haven't told me. No.
- 8:26Speaker 2: If that were the case, if I was getting dicked
- 8:28Speaker 2: down really good, I would have told you. But it. Also,
- 8:31Speaker 2: I haven't seen you, and maybe you have more important
- 8:34Speaker 2: things on your mind other than my no dicka appointments.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Listen, I love a dick appointment. I love to talk
- 8:40Speaker 1: about it.
- 8:41Speaker 2: Well, I don't have anything to currently brag about right now,
- 8:44Speaker 2: but I'm gonna go get some. Well I've got nothing.
- 8:47Speaker 1: What I've got some real doozies for you.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Wait, you've had some disappointments. I'm not going.
- 8:53Speaker 1: To say I've had some dick appointments, but I'm going
- 8:55Speaker 1: to say that I've had some real crazy shit happened
- 8:59Speaker 1: while I was in hospital. Uh huh, Okay, so what
- 9:05Speaker 1: I'm gonna make up? The person's name. I think I
- 9:07Speaker 1: talked about him before. I don't know. I was all
- 9:10Speaker 1: tumored up then, but I was super tumored up. But
- 9:16Speaker 1: I had gone on probably four or five days with them.
- 9:19Speaker 1: I saw him.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Wait, is this the guy that you once knew before? No, okay,
- 9:23Speaker 2: so we're talking a different guy. Okay. That was a
- 9:25Speaker 2: one and done right, Okay, right, but he was nice
- 9:28Speaker 2: and he reached out. But it's just not for you.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I remember that, Okay. I don't know about this dude.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Okay. So this was one where I made my assistant
- 9:35Speaker 1: go with me to the restaurant just to make sure.
- 9:37Speaker 2: He were and you met him on the hinge.
- 9:38Speaker 1: I met him on the hinge. He was great, he
- 9:41Speaker 1: was funny, he was nice. I met his friends. We
- 9:43Speaker 1: hung out four or five times. The last time I
- 9:45Speaker 1: saw him was two days before hospitalization tumor time. I
- 9:52Speaker 1: remember saying, I had just gotten back from the super Bowl,
- 9:55Speaker 1: where I was filming with camera for none other than
- 10:00Speaker 1: Coffee Mate. Then I come home, We meet up with
- 10:07Speaker 1: him and friends. We watched the super Bowl. I'm like,
- 10:09Speaker 1: I don't feel like going out.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Okay, I'm just following along the timeline.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Okay, okay, So I worked the day of the super Bowl.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Can I just say.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Fucking what the fuck is this?
- 10:20Speaker 1: But you have to remember at this point, I was nesting,
- 10:22Speaker 1: so I couldn't come home and stay at my house.
- 10:24Speaker 2: Is this happening? Like, are we having this conversation?
- 10:26Speaker 1: Oh, you have no idea, whats coming? You have no
- 10:33Speaker 1: fucking idea?
- 10:34Speaker 2: So we're at this You're at his place watching the
- 10:37Speaker 2: super Bowl with some friends.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Yes, because the day before and the day before that
- 10:42Speaker 1: were the two days we worked the super Bowl. But
- 10:44Speaker 1: Tam and I were like, we want to get the
- 10:45Speaker 1: fuck out of here before the super Bowl starts, before
- 10:47Speaker 1: it gets on. The six am flight went over. You
- 10:50Speaker 1: know how did cheese played? Hung out with the friends
- 10:53Speaker 1: and whatever. It's a nice time. I don't think you
- 10:57Speaker 1: know anything of it. It's neither here nor there. Like
- 10:59Speaker 1: I'm like, he's a cute guy. This is fun. Then
- 11:04Speaker 1: I come home nesting right nest, it's my turn to
- 11:09Speaker 1: be here, to be here, so Edwin leaves. I come home,
- 11:13Speaker 1: I start, I have to I film the pod, and
- 11:16Speaker 1: then the next day happens and I call. At first,
- 11:20Speaker 1: I called my friend Val and I'm like, hey, can
- 11:23Speaker 1: you take me to the hospital. I think I'm dying.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Something's wrong with me. And she's like, shoot, honey, I'm
- 11:29Speaker 1: already at the hospital with our friend who's getting a necklift.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Only in this town you may be dying. But I'm here,
- 11:36Speaker 2: maybe sitting our friend with the necklift.
- 11:40Speaker 1: So I had to call Edwin. I'm like, hey, Edwin,
- 11:44Speaker 1: I'm like, I think something's really wrong with me. I
- 11:48Speaker 1: can't walk and I had to just cancel the pod
- 11:50Speaker 1: and I never flake on work and I can't see,
- 11:54Speaker 1: and he's like, okay, I'll take you. So he takes
- 11:59Speaker 1: me to the emergent Sea room. Whatever, we find out
- 12:03Speaker 1: all about the tumors. Needless to say, I forget about
- 12:07Speaker 1: Bob or whatever.
- 12:08Speaker 2: Whatever the hell your guy, the super Bowl guy, the.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Super Bowl Bob, I forgot about him. Then everybody takes
- 12:14Speaker 1: my phone away because they know how I get on. Well,
- 12:16Speaker 1: I'll post on social media's or I'll call people, I'll
- 12:19Speaker 1: do whatever. So the phone's been away for like five days.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I was apparently supposed to see.
- 12:24Speaker 2: Bob Jen, Oh, that's safe whatever.
- 12:29Speaker 1: So anyway, Jen is monitoring my phone calls and my
- 12:33Speaker 1: messages and whatever, and I was supposed to see Bob
- 12:37Speaker 1: let's claim on Thursday. Well, I go into the hospital
- 12:40Speaker 1: on Tuesday. Around Saturday. Jen's like, Bob's called a good
- 12:47Speaker 1: amount of times. We might need to what's going on.
- 12:52Speaker 1: And I'm like, okay, you can tell him. So Jen
- 12:57Speaker 1: just calls and she's like, hey, Bob, it's Jen. You
- 12:59Speaker 1: know I just wanted to you know that.
- 13:00Speaker 2: Now at this point, no one, like not even online,
- 13:04Speaker 2: no one knew you were in the hospital at this point.
- 13:06Speaker 1: At this point, I think some people had seen online.
- 13:09Speaker 1: I don't know that Bob is someone that would probably
- 13:12Speaker 1: be readily checking.
- 13:14Speaker 2: The I wish this was liquor because I am really this.
- 13:17Speaker 1: Story you're gonna it's a long one, but it's gonna
- 13:20Speaker 1: be worth going. So anyway, She's like, Hi, Bob, it's
- 13:25Speaker 1: Teddy's friend Jen. I just wanted to let you know
- 13:28Speaker 1: she has multiple brain tumors and they've just removed them
- 13:33Speaker 1: and that's why she hasn't called you.
- 13:34Speaker 2: Back, or well, that's an excuse, you know.
- 13:37Speaker 1: And I mean, and if you have eyes in the
- 13:40Speaker 1: World Wide Web, you could probably find this out for yourself.
- 13:43Speaker 1: And he's like, okay, whenever I can talk to her,
- 13:46Speaker 1: that'd be great. I'm not allowed the phone for another
- 13:48Speaker 1: couple of days. Then I get the phone. I called
- 13:51Speaker 1: Bob back. We have conversations, but at this point, I'm
- 13:54Speaker 1: still not a functioning human. I'm honestly like.
- 13:57Speaker 2: I got you. I got you.
- 13:59Speaker 1: So then we cut to about a week later. I
- 14:03Speaker 1: maybe out of the ICU at this point, Okay, but
- 14:07Speaker 1: I'm still with nurses inside of a facility. Yeah, I'm
- 14:10Speaker 1: just not in the ICU. Bob sends a text which
- 14:14Speaker 1: I couldn't read text at this point. Then Bob is like, hey,
- 14:18Speaker 1: do you have a second to have a conversation, and
- 14:20Speaker 1: I'm like, sure, I pick up the phone and Bob's like,
- 14:25Speaker 1: I just have to ask you a question. I was
- 14:28Speaker 1: talking with my mom and we both need to know
- 14:32Speaker 1: if you're going to be in a place to have
- 14:33Speaker 1: more kids.
- 14:35Speaker 2: You're lying?
- 14:36Speaker 1: Are you fucking kidding me, Bob, You're lying? No? And
- 14:42Speaker 1: I was already in a fucked up place in general,
- 14:44Speaker 1: And then I did the worst thing possible.
- 14:46Speaker 2: You want to know yes, no.
- 14:48Speaker 1: I at least knew better than to say yes.
- 14:50Speaker 2: But I cried, Well, that's okay. You're allowed to cry.
- 14:54Speaker 2: What's wrong with that? You're a human.
- 14:55Speaker 1: I cried because I felt like so bizarre that this
- 14:59Speaker 1: was happening.
- 14:59Speaker 2: It is, it's bizarre, and you're allowed to cry. That's normal.
- 15:02Speaker 2: I would have like, what, Yes, this is not okay.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I cried, and I said, you're really hurting my feelings.
- 15:08Speaker 1: I don't I don't think now's the time to have
- 15:10Speaker 1: this conversation ever.
- 15:12Speaker 2: Really like like.
- 15:15Speaker 1: We could get into this at another time when maybe
- 15:17Speaker 1: I'm healed, but like I'm still in a hot like
- 15:21Speaker 1: just so you know, I'm still getting daily fucking innimous.
- 15:25Speaker 2: I'm not visual.
- 15:27Speaker 1: I just like I am in. I am on steroids,
- 15:33Speaker 1: I am on salt pills. I am mean as a
- 15:35Speaker 1: fucking snake, I am sweating to death. I am still
- 15:39Speaker 1: in the hospital, and Bob thinks this is the time
- 15:42Speaker 1: to talk about children.
- 15:43Speaker 2: So either way, me and boss, So, how did you
- 15:45Speaker 2: wrap that call up?
- 15:46Speaker 1: So I don't really know how I wrapped that call
- 15:48Speaker 1: up because at that point I wasn't really in a place.
- 15:51Speaker 1: But then, don't you worry. I felt the need to
- 15:53Speaker 1: wait a little bit him, and then I fucking lost it,
- 15:59Speaker 1: like said.
- 15:59Speaker 2: Do I I know this woman or do I know
- 16:01Speaker 2: that I was I've seen it.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I was honestly, I like channeled Renna at her meanest
- 16:09Speaker 1: via text. And then he was like, wow, I thought
- 16:12Speaker 1: we were okay after our last phone call, and I
- 16:14Speaker 1: was like, I wasn't coherent during our last phone call,
- 16:17Speaker 1: but I am now, And I was like, really, let
- 16:20Speaker 1: him have it, and now we're back to being fine.
- 16:24Speaker 1: But we're not gonna go on any more date.
- 16:25Speaker 2: I don't. I think maybe we just pause on the dating.
- 16:28Speaker 1: For right now. I'm already been on more dates with
- 16:30Speaker 1: new people.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Know what, I can't get a date?
- 16:32Speaker 1: And here you are, Well, I'm on a second date.
- 16:35Speaker 1: So I went on a first date and now I'm
- 16:38Speaker 1: pre pre the thing, and then I went on a
- 16:43Speaker 1: second date yesterday. Actually he's really cute and nice. Fuck
- 16:55Speaker 1: do you want to pick? Tell me if I'm right?
- 16:58Speaker 2: This is okay? Are you okay?
- 17:01Speaker 3: Yes?
- 17:02Speaker 2: Did the doctors say you can date? I mean the
- 17:07Speaker 2: dog's right, Oh my god, making his.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Stupid face in this photo. But he's cute.
- 17:13Speaker 2: He is cute. Wait a second, okay, mm hmm, see
- 17:20Speaker 2: he's cute. What are his intentions? Do I need to
- 17:22Speaker 2: get on the phone with this fool?
- 17:23Speaker 1: Well, he didn't know who I was, and he also
- 17:26Speaker 1: said the word he goes. I'm confused now that I
- 17:32Speaker 1: follow you on Instagram, all these Bravo leabs keep following.
- 17:38Speaker 2: He really doesn't know who you doesn't know, thank god.
- 17:43Speaker 1: But he's it's weird. He's like so nice that I'm like,
- 17:47Speaker 1: then I get panicked. But I have been on two dates.
- 17:51Speaker 2: How did they go?
- 17:52Speaker 1: They went really well? Because I have to say this
- 17:55Speaker 1: is going to sound crazy, but when you're in the
- 17:59Speaker 1: hospital and when you're like and everyone has been amazing,
- 18:02Speaker 1: like beyond I he showed up. He has been there.
- 18:07Speaker 1: He has been an amazing caregiver because that's you know, but uh,
- 18:13Speaker 1: I hadn't had like a true hug.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Oh wow, you know what I mean? Okay, like friend
- 18:20Speaker 2: hugs are very different than Yes, they are very different.
- 18:23Speaker 1: And I felt this like weird like sadness. And then
- 18:28Speaker 1: also you know when you're like kind of talking to
- 18:29Speaker 1: somebody on the phone and you get that little like butterfly.
- 18:32Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god, you get the butterflies. So that's
- 18:36Speaker 2: live your damn life.
- 18:37Speaker 1: So I'll see, I mean, who knows?
- 18:39Speaker 2: How about this? How about we just take it day
- 18:41Speaker 2: by day.
- 18:42Speaker 1: He hasn't asked me to have children yet, so that's
- 18:45Speaker 1: we're on the up and up foot bot, Just what
- 18:49Speaker 1: do we call this one? What should his name? But
- 18:51Speaker 1: now that you've seen his picture, I don't know.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Let me think about that. He's in his forties, maybe
- 18:56Speaker 2: he's thirty five. Okay, what can you tell me what
- 19:01Speaker 2: he does for a living?
- 19:02Speaker 1: He does? He works in events? Okay, yeah? Nice? Uh okay,
- 19:12Speaker 1: like very kind, like one of those people that's.
- 19:14Speaker 2: Really assuring, and I am you respond to that.
- 19:18Speaker 1: I apparently respond to that, which is going to get
- 19:19Speaker 1: us into our love language.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Already did the test?
- 19:22Speaker 1: I did the test too, and I'm frightened for what
- 19:24Speaker 1: ours mine is embarrassing.
- 19:27Speaker 2: No, at this point, nothing is embarrassing. What do you
- 19:30Speaker 2: mean it's not? Nothing isn't What do you mean?
- 19:33Speaker 1: Daily animals aren't embarrassing.
- 19:35Speaker 2: That's my point. After that, where do we go? You're
- 19:38Speaker 2: worried about a love language?
- 19:41Speaker 1: So, guys, we did the love Languages quiz, which if
- 19:45Speaker 1: you haven't taken it, it's pretty great and it does
- 19:49Speaker 1: tell you a lot. There are one, two, three, four, five,
- 19:56Speaker 1: there's five love languages. Words of affirmation, acts of service,
- 20:00Speaker 1: receiving gifts, quality time, physical.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Touch, yep. The love language tests a circle, the one
- 20:06Speaker 2: that best describes you. Okay, let me ask you this.
- 20:08Speaker 1: Oh, so we're gonna do some of it.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I'm going to ask you right, So, I'm gonna we're
- 20:12Speaker 2: gonna ask the questions and you're gonna answer. I'm gonna
- 20:14Speaker 2: ask you these six questions. Are you ready? And then? Okay? Ready?
- 20:17Speaker 2: You like to receive notes of affirmation or I like
- 20:20Speaker 2: it when you hug me.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I like to receive notes of affirmation. Okay, I like.
- 20:26Speaker 2: Uh, I'm split on this one. I mean I love
- 20:29Speaker 2: hugs and I love I like both. Yeah, I like
- 20:32Speaker 2: to receive notes of affirmation, and I like it when
- 20:35Speaker 2: you hug me.
- 20:35Speaker 1: Yes, I like both, But I like I think notes
- 20:38Speaker 1: are planned out in advance.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Sure. I like to spend one on one time with you.
- 20:43Speaker 2: I feel loved when you give me practical help. Which
- 20:45Speaker 2: do you prefer one on one time? Same? Yeah, I
- 20:48Speaker 2: like it when you give me gifts. I like taking
- 20:50Speaker 2: long walks with you.
- 20:52Speaker 1: I like long walks.
- 20:56Speaker 2: I think long walks are more valuable because gifts sometimes
- 20:59Speaker 2: are given to up things.
- 21:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, you know. Yeah.
- 21:03Speaker 2: I feel loved when you do things to help me.
- 21:05Speaker 2: I feel loved when you hugger touch me.
- 21:07Speaker 1: I feel loved when you hugger touch.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Me, sae. But I like I like some help to
- 21:11Speaker 2: you every now and then.
- 21:12Speaker 1: But I don't want to ask for the help. I
- 21:13Speaker 1: want you just to do it.
- 21:14Speaker 2: Oh No, you don't like to ask for any kind
- 21:17Speaker 2: of help ever, never in your life. Never, I've never
- 21:20Speaker 2: seen you ask for anything. I feel loved when you
- 21:22Speaker 2: hold me in your arms. I feel loved when I
- 21:24Speaker 2: receive a gift from you. Between the two of these,
- 21:26Speaker 2: I would prefer to be hold me in your arms.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Same. I like to go places with you, and I
- 21:31Speaker 1: like to hold hands with you. Probably I like to
- 21:35Speaker 1: go places and hold hands.
- 21:37Speaker 2: I like to do with both of these things. You know.
- 21:39Speaker 2: I know that we're supposed to pick which one, but
- 21:41Speaker 2: I know that I wrote mine down because I did
- 21:43Speaker 2: take this and words of affirmation came out on top
- 21:46Speaker 2: for me, and then physical touch me too.
- 21:49Speaker 1: But also what I realized about this test, I felt
- 21:51Speaker 1: like it was always trying to trick me into saying
- 21:53Speaker 1: that I wanted gifts.
- 21:54Speaker 2: I don't like that because I think that maybe our
- 21:57Speaker 2: culture perceives gifts as like bribes or that you are,
- 22:02Speaker 2: you know, given. There's this thing around being given a gift,
- 22:06Speaker 2: like what was the intention of the gift?
- 22:09Speaker 1: Was that?
- 22:10Speaker 2: You know? And that's what I do like gifts, But
- 22:12Speaker 2: I think it's the intent of the gift. Does that
- 22:14Speaker 2: make sense? Like not an obligatory gift or a shut
- 22:18Speaker 2: up gift or I fucked up here some diamonds gift.
- 22:22Speaker 1: I mean, and then you end up losing the gift anyway.
- 22:26Speaker 2: But I think, tell me about it, tell me about
- 22:31Speaker 2: that that.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Wasn't it was not an intentional dig But I'm glad
- 22:34Speaker 1: it works.
- 22:36Speaker 2: It all works out good.
- 22:38Speaker 1: But so that's we recommend you guys taking this quiz
- 22:43Speaker 1: because I can say that, I wouldn't have thought that
- 22:46Speaker 1: my love language is words of affirmation because I'm so
- 22:49Speaker 1: awkward getting a compliment.
- 22:51Speaker 2: Maybe that's why you you, but maybe that's what I think.
- 22:53Speaker 1: There's two different things. Like I think words of affirmation.
- 22:57Speaker 1: It doesn't necessarily have to be a compliment. It could
- 22:59Speaker 1: be like, I'm very proud of you.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Oh, you're doing a great job. I've noticed how hard
- 23:03Speaker 2: you've been working. It's really good. Yeah, you know, things
- 23:05Speaker 2: like that, Like that is a total like I love
- 23:08Speaker 2: the way you've handled yourself in this situation. I really
- 23:10Speaker 2: admire your resilience or whatever.
- 23:12Speaker 1: And then when you reverse it, like it burns me
- 23:15Speaker 1: to the core when someone's like, hey, I think you
- 23:17Speaker 1: kind of fucked this up.
- 23:19Speaker 2: I don't know that it burns me to the core,
- 23:21Speaker 2: but it does bother. It makes me have to take
- 23:24Speaker 2: like a step back from myself and look at it
- 23:26Speaker 2: objectively and not to get hurt personally. You know, when
- 23:30Speaker 2: you look at critiques or something. When I was younger,
- 23:33Speaker 2: it was it would hurt personally. But now I think
- 23:36Speaker 2: I have a little bit more perspective in being able
- 23:38Speaker 2: to say well done, listen to what's being said, step
- 23:42Speaker 2: back for a second and see, you know, is there
- 23:45Speaker 2: anything here that you agree with that this person is saying,
- 23:48Speaker 2: because sometimes people are just nasty. Did you take criticism
- 23:51Speaker 2: personally or did you take it constructively? Were you able
- 23:54Speaker 2: under your hardest times when you were like writing professionally
- 23:57Speaker 2: and writing for clients and stuff like that. Were you
- 23:59Speaker 2: able to take coaching? Did you take it to heart
- 24:02Speaker 2: and was hurt over it? Was it personal? I guess I.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Can say that prior to going in the ring, I
- 24:07Speaker 1: could take as much information as you want to get. Okay,
- 24:10Speaker 1: like this horse is going to want to dive left,
- 24:13Speaker 1: you know, hold it, you know that type of information.
- 24:16Speaker 1: When I came out, I needed a second to beat
- 24:20Speaker 1: myself up.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Oh you're that guy?
- 24:23Speaker 1: Uh huh, I'm that guy. I had to beat myself
- 24:25Speaker 1: up before I could allow somebody else to give me
- 24:28Speaker 1: their Are.
- 24:28Speaker 2: You hard on yourself or did you say, damn it,
- 24:30Speaker 2: I missed something, because I like, I'll bring it right
- 24:32Speaker 2: back to these last forty shows I did on Broadway.
- 24:35Speaker 2: I went in with very clear attentions. You know, because
- 24:36Speaker 2: anybody that's done shows, you know, you have two people
- 24:39Speaker 2: that come to you every time before you go on
- 24:41Speaker 2: the ship, before you go on station, and it's you know,
- 24:43Speaker 2: the dance captain and the musical director and they come
- 24:46Speaker 2: and they go, hey, you were flat here, you were
- 24:48Speaker 2: slow here tonight, I'm picking this up. Your hands weren't here.
- 24:50Speaker 2: So you have to take those notes every time, yeah,
- 24:52Speaker 2: every night. And I was like if I didn't, if
- 24:55Speaker 2: I missed a note, I wasn't, like, God damn it.
- 24:57Speaker 2: I was like I walked off and I go, I
- 24:59Speaker 2: know I missed the note, do you know? Like I know.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Sometimes I can do that even now to this day though,
- 25:07Speaker 1: like and I see Slate doing it too, and I'm like, shoot,
- 25:10Speaker 1: I must have like naturally given this to her.
- 25:12Speaker 2: Probably.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Yeah, Like it's that like immediate, like we walk out
- 25:17Speaker 1: and we need a second, and it's because like we're
- 25:19Speaker 1: processing whatever.
- 25:20Speaker 2: We did wrong instead of whatever, because you have a
- 25:23Speaker 2: choice to process what you did right too.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Yeah, but like you know, you're if you're gonna win
- 25:28Speaker 1: or lose, do you Yeah, you have a I don't.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I don't have a pretty good idea, like I know
- 25:33Speaker 1: when I just want a class, Okay, So you have
- 25:36Speaker 1: to kind of like walk out of the ring knowing
- 25:38Speaker 1: like the best, I'm gonna get us fifth or like
- 25:41Speaker 1: that was terrible.
- 25:42Speaker 2: Yeah, but also too, I would imagine, you know, anything
- 25:57Speaker 2: that you do live, like you could be off the day,
- 26:00Speaker 2: the horse could be off that date. Like it all
- 26:01Speaker 2: has to come together perfectly, right, I mean you can.
- 26:05Speaker 2: I mean it's the same as That's what I'm saying.
- 26:07Speaker 2: Any Well, you're in good voice. You're not anything done live.
- 26:11Speaker 1: Anything done live and anything done. I don't think there's
- 26:14Speaker 1: a ton of sports or music type things that are singular.
- 26:19Speaker 2: That's right.
- 26:20Speaker 1: So I walk in the ring, I'm by myself.
- 26:22Speaker 2: You walk you know on stage, Yeah.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Your even if there are other people on stage yours,
- 26:28Speaker 1: I still have my job to do, yes, and your
- 26:30Speaker 1: voice is going to write.
- 26:32Speaker 2: You the leader. Yeah, And so I would imagine this
- 26:36Speaker 2: is what I always thought was wild, is how do
- 26:39Speaker 2: you I know that you can communicate with animals? And
- 26:41Speaker 2: I believe that I'm a big animal person, but that's
- 26:45Speaker 2: a big animal. Horses a bit in controlling those you know,
- 26:49Speaker 2: that movements of that horse, that that's a real skill.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Well I think that's because they get moody too.
- 26:54Speaker 1: Yeah. I think that's why it was so important for
- 26:56Speaker 1: me to go back. So when I first went back,
- 26:58Speaker 1: I went on a horse that I'd never shown. There's
- 27:00Speaker 1: this nice gal named Tiffany that rides at the barn
- 27:03Speaker 1: I'm at and she can't ride on Saturdays, and she's like,
- 27:07Speaker 1: we ride my horses and it's jumping. It was jumping
- 27:10Speaker 1: significantly smaller than what I jump on totally, and so
- 27:14Speaker 1: I went and did it and I felt comfortable and
- 27:16Speaker 1: I was like okay. So then the next week I
- 27:19Speaker 1: looked at my trainers John and Peter and I'm like, hey, guys,
- 27:21Speaker 1: can I please show Toad this week? And they're like, Teddy, yeah,
- 27:25Speaker 1: and I'm like he's my baby, like I know, like
- 27:29Speaker 1: we know each other.
- 27:30Speaker 2: Yeah, You've always said that you have a connection with
- 27:31Speaker 2: this sord like I.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Know if it's not going to be safe, and I'll
- 27:35Speaker 1: tell you, guys, like I promise you, I can feel it,
- 27:38Speaker 1: and I could, Like day one, I felt on top
- 27:41Speaker 1: of the world, and day two I was like there
- 27:43Speaker 1: was a moment where I was like shit, yeah, and
- 27:46Speaker 1: then I was like, okay, change it up a little bit.
- 27:49Speaker 1: And then I looked at them and I'm like, okay,
- 27:50Speaker 1: I am fine. I am fine, Like, but I know
- 27:54Speaker 1: myself well enough, I think at this point, after all
- 27:56Speaker 1: this stuff, when to pull the plug?
- 27:59Speaker 2: Good? Good, When keep that in the forefront. You know,
- 28:03Speaker 2: you don't want to do anything that puts you at.
- 28:06Speaker 1: Risk sense, yeah, And I think you know this too,
- 28:09Speaker 1: Like sometimes the power of no is more important than
- 28:11Speaker 1: the power of yes.
- 28:12Speaker 2: It's really true.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Yeah, Like we want to say yes to everything, and
- 28:15Speaker 1: then we say yes and then you're like.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Uh, well, also too, you have to discern which yes is,
- 28:22Speaker 2: you know, like what what which ones? Because I love
- 28:26Speaker 2: to do everything, but then sometimes I'm like, this is
- 28:29Speaker 2: not this is too much, and then you and then
- 28:32Speaker 2: I don't give performance yeah or yeah, or I don't
- 28:35Speaker 2: when I over book myself or I oh I am tired,
- 28:39Speaker 2: or then I become crabby and I don't give my
- 28:41Speaker 2: best work, and then people aren't left with a good
- 28:44Speaker 2: taste in their mouth about you.
- 28:46Speaker 1: Know, it does more harm than good, it really does.
- 28:49Speaker 2: I think so.
- 28:51Speaker 1: But either way, I've really missed you.
- 28:54Speaker 2: I missed you too. I'm so happy to see you.
- 28:57Speaker 2: And I mean, my God, Teddy Jesus Christ.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I mean, what the fact that that all happened while
- 29:03Speaker 1: we were just you were just doing Broadway and I
- 29:06Speaker 1: was just trying to mind my own business. Slang in
- 29:08Speaker 1: coffee mate.
- 29:10Speaker 2: But you know the coffee mate worked out?
- 29:12Speaker 1: You know what it did?
- 29:14Speaker 2: Is it? How is business like this? What has been
- 29:18Speaker 2: the response if you don't mind asking, obviously tell me
- 29:20Speaker 2: shut up? But what's been the response? Like? I know everybody, well,
- 29:25Speaker 2: you have a lot of people that love you. But
- 29:28Speaker 2: what's business like?
- 29:29Speaker 1: I mean I have to say like business is good?
- 29:33Speaker 1: Everything is good with business? Uh, the pod, it's been
- 29:36Speaker 1: weird because I'm so behind on shows now right, Like
- 29:40Speaker 1: I don't even know what to give you a shit
- 29:41Speaker 1: about at this point. I'm so behind, so I need
- 29:44Speaker 1: to catch up on all those for to teas and
- 29:46Speaker 1: a pod. But I would say all in all, things
- 29:49Speaker 1: are like coming back together. Things are coming back together
- 29:52Speaker 1: with the kids, with life. Everything is starting to smooth
- 29:56Speaker 1: itself out versus when I was an a to be here, Yes,
- 30:01Speaker 1: and I just felt so far removed and it made
- 30:04Speaker 1: me feel yucky. Yeah, So I mean everything everything's good
- 30:11Speaker 1: like and I'm just taking it slow and I'm in
- 30:13Speaker 1: immune therapy and what is okay? So immunotherapy. I'm not
- 30:19Speaker 1: a doctor, clearly, I know you guys think, but you
- 30:21Speaker 1: are a patient.
- 30:22Speaker 2: Oh, you can speak about it.
- 30:24Speaker 1: The seleb sense of voice that he yawns during I
- 30:29Speaker 1: almost died. Who you I'm sorry, you know you're sending
- 30:33Speaker 1: this voice note. You yawned, Delete it, start over, But
- 30:36Speaker 1: he sends a voice note, and he goes, I just
- 30:38Speaker 1: want to make sure you're all. You seem very smart,
- 30:41Speaker 1: and I was like anyone that you and also nobody
- 30:45Speaker 1: in the history of the world of anyone has ever
- 30:48Speaker 1: said you seem very smart.
- 30:50Speaker 2: Yes they have. Don't don't let who Well, I think
- 30:54Speaker 2: you're smart smart?
- 30:56Speaker 1: Would you look on the World Wide Web and be
- 30:58Speaker 1: like that's smart.
- 30:59Speaker 2: Yes, I've watched you express articulate yourself. I know you're smart.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Everybody knows you're smart.
- 31:04Speaker 1: I don't think this random celebrity, well.
- 31:06Speaker 2: I don't know who this is, but you'll tell me what.
- 31:09Speaker 1: Then he said, I just want to make sure that
- 31:13Speaker 1: you're following the Eastern medicine and the holistic route as well.
- 31:18Speaker 1: I just want to make sure that you let me
- 31:21Speaker 1: get through the cancers, and then I'm gonna take advice
- 31:26Speaker 1: I don't then I'll get some macipunctre.
- 31:29Speaker 2: Like I really fucking don't know what Eastern medicine. Let
- 31:34Speaker 2: me get this going over here with the radiation human.
- 31:37Speaker 1: But let me zip over again some psychedelics.
- 31:39Speaker 2: I don't know what you're talking about. Oh my gosh,
- 31:43Speaker 2: the fucking mushrooms while you're on these ship. What we're
- 31:48Speaker 2: gonna get about it.
- 31:50Speaker 3: I was just ceased, and I know you don't sat
- 31:54Speaker 3: so sorry.
- 31:55Speaker 1: That was an accident, just just like the losing of
- 31:59Speaker 1: the jewel. He was accidental. You know, sometimes you can't
- 32:04Speaker 1: do it all. But I I a lot of fucking
- 32:07Speaker 1: people are crazy because a lot of people have been
- 32:09Speaker 1: texting me advice on my cancers. Normally, when people post
- 32:13Speaker 1: a photo of me, the comments aren't great towards me, right,
- 32:19Speaker 1: but apparently post survival, yeah, people have really picked up
- 32:24Speaker 1: the niceness. Because I was like, holy mother, I've never
- 32:28Speaker 1: seen such a thing. I'm not even getting attacked right now.
- 32:32Speaker 1: And then shep called me goes, I'm confused. The last
- 32:35Speaker 1: time I posted a photo, they really let.
- 32:37Speaker 2: You have and I was like, well, things are very
- 32:39Speaker 2: serious right now with you. And so you know, people
- 32:43Speaker 2: have pulled back on something that they would be, you know,
- 32:46Speaker 2: tempted to send, which is why we shouldn't really be
- 32:49Speaker 2: sending a whole lot of those anyway.
- 32:51Speaker 1: Because you never know, somebody could have been tumored for
- 32:54Speaker 1: a year and that's why they've been pissing you off.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Like I could now use this as an excuse for everything.
- 32:59Speaker 2: I would.
- 33:01Speaker 3: I would you no, sorry, No, I wouldn't say anything
- 33:07Speaker 3: you don't sorry, No, I would just say, you know
- 33:10Speaker 3: how listen, you can say and do whatever you want
- 33:16Speaker 3: in my eyes, because you have a pass in my book.
- 33:20Speaker 2: I'll be honest with you. People, we don't know what
- 33:22Speaker 2: to do in this situation, none of us, like we
- 33:25Speaker 2: were all number one caught off guard. I'm just gonna
- 33:27Speaker 2: speak for everybody, and I'm not going to name names,
- 33:29Speaker 2: but here's the thing. You were healthy and then you
- 33:34Speaker 2: were really ill, and it went from you know, she's
- 33:38Speaker 2: good to she's really bad, and I think people were
- 33:41Speaker 2: thrown off. People don't know how to respond right now
- 33:45Speaker 2: to you. And I think, you know, like we're laughing
- 33:49Speaker 2: and we're bringing levity to this situation. But a lot
- 33:51Speaker 2: of people sometimes people get very afraid during times like this.
- 33:56Speaker 2: They don't know what to say, They feel hesitant to
- 33:59Speaker 2: reach out to you or you know. So I'm not
- 34:02Speaker 2: making excuses for them, but I am saying, like just
- 34:06Speaker 2: sometimes people don't know what to do.
- 34:08Speaker 1: And I'm telling you this. If you feel hesitant to
- 34:10Speaker 1: reach out to me, that means we're not that close.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Don't reach out because I don't need I don't like
- 34:15Speaker 1: a lot of messages. Okay, I'm just saying.
- 34:19Speaker 2: Well, well, that deletes about five people. I was gonna tell.
- 34:21Speaker 1: You, well, that's probably good because I doubt I wanted
- 34:25Speaker 1: to talk to them.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 34:28Speaker 1: All right, guys, thanks for tuning in to another episode
- 34:32Speaker 1: of Diamonds in the Rough.
- 34:34Speaker 2: I was gonna say, and I'm not the one that listen.
- 34:38Speaker 1: You can't even be tumored. I still got four laugh
- 34:42Speaker 1: I almost said to teas in a pod, but I
- 34:44Speaker 1: caught myself because I'm what is it that you used
- 34:46Speaker 1: to always say?
- 34:47Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm a show girl. I'm a showman.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I'm a showman, and I remember shit you do remember
- 34:53Speaker 1: true professional?
- 34:54Speaker 2: Can I tell you something? I love you and I'm
- 34:55Speaker 2: proud of you.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Thank you, I really am. Thank you. Hopefully next week
- 34:59Speaker 1: I seem even sharper.
- 35:01Speaker 2: You're pretty good. I'm gonna tell you something. You're right there.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Don't don't beat yourself up over it.
- 35:05Speaker 1: I mean it was a little bit of upsetting that
- 35:07Speaker 1: I'm like, fucking Erica is coming over. I know she's
- 35:09Speaker 1: gonna be dressed up, and I don't get into any
- 35:11Speaker 1: of my clothes.
- 35:12Speaker 2: I don't either put on some weight myself.
- 35:14Speaker 1: No, yeah, I can really tell a tip in it.
- 35:17Speaker 1: All right, guys, thanks for tuning in. We'll be back
- 35:19Speaker 1: next week.
- 35:19Speaker 2: I love you, Teddy, Joe love you.
