- 0:18Speaker 2: make you rich in life, rich rich, and today we
- 0:23Speaker 2: are sharing life changing habits that cost nothing to celebrate
- 0:28Speaker 2: the twenty twenty five launch of.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Rich in Life official launch's in stock. She's flying out
- 0:34Speaker 3: the door. But if you listen to.

- 0:47Speaker 2: three exciting new products. We've got our rich in Life
- 0:51Speaker 2: Planner and Diary, We've got our rich in Life Journal
- 0:54Speaker 2: and the Rich Conversation's cuts.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Plus you can also get the seventy five day rich
- 0:59Speaker 3: in Life Reset in the bundles too, so we've got
- 1:04Speaker 3: all the good stuff in there.
- 1:06Speaker 1: Yeah, look at us. Go exactly see Entrepreneur the business bitch.
- 1:12Speaker 3: So rich in Life is all about building habits that
- 1:15Speaker 3: make you feel rich in life. So we wanted to
- 1:17Speaker 3: discuss some of our favorite life changing habits that cost
- 1:21Speaker 3: us nothing.
- 1:22Speaker 1: But the reward is priceless.
- 1:25Speaker 3: The reward will make you rich in life literally, and
- 1:28Speaker 3: so we're going to get into what it actually means
- 1:30Speaker 3: to be rich in life and the habits that you
- 1:33Speaker 3: can incorporate to achieve that.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And if you.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Want to get your own copy of the rich in
- 1:39Speaker 3: Life formula, of course you can do that, but you
- 1:41Speaker 3: can also apply these in whatever way you want to.
- 1:44Speaker 1: We're never going to be like, no, you have to
- 1:46Speaker 1: buy it.
- 1:46Speaker 3: So as we always start with what's your life lesson
- 1:49Speaker 3: of the week?
- 1:50Speaker 1: Sally Bally, So my life lesson of the week is obviously.
- 1:54Speaker 2: With the rich in Life launch, we've been thinking a
- 1:56Speaker 2: lot about what makes us rich in life. There's a
- 2:00Speaker 2: sneaky bonus question at the end of all of our
- 2:02Speaker 2: interviews with our guests. We've been asking them what makes
- 2:06Speaker 2: them feel rich in life, And you chicks may have
- 2:08Speaker 2: seen we put them together and it just made me
- 2:12Speaker 2: realize that what makes you rich in life is really
- 2:15Speaker 2: different to each person, and how important it is to
- 2:19Speaker 2: ask yourself that question and do whatever you can to
- 2:23Speaker 2: lean into it.
- 2:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it was such a pleasure editing that together. Like
- 2:28Speaker 3: when I was making the edit, like I teared up
- 2:32Speaker 3: like multiple times, because when you ask people that you
- 2:37Speaker 3: see on their face the moment they think of the answer,
- 2:40Speaker 3: when you see the smile that genuinely just radiates from them,
- 2:45Speaker 3: when they think about what makes them feel rich in life.
- 2:48Speaker 3: And just being able to watch that again and edit
- 2:51Speaker 3: it all together and put music to it, it just
- 2:54Speaker 3: made me feel so rich in life. It just feels
- 3:00Speaker 3: really good to do something that means something and yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 3: I love that. That's such a good thing. What's your
- 3:06Speaker 3: life lesson?
- 3:07Speaker 1: So my life lesson is that it is it's November. Baby,
- 3:13Speaker 1: what comes in overbo baby sales? He's a baby. I'm ready.
- 3:18Speaker 3: I've been doing my sprints on keyboard. I have been
- 3:21Speaker 3: making wishless on keyboard. I have been researching sales and
- 3:27Speaker 3: dupes and everything that all the chickies need. Because of course,
- 3:32Speaker 3: the click Frenzy and Black Friday cheat sheets are coming.
- 3:36Speaker 3: So the click Frenzy cheat sheet will be dropping on
- 3:39Speaker 3: the first day of Clickfrenzy because that's when all the
- 3:41Speaker 3: sales drop. However, the Black Friday cheat sheet is going
- 3:47Speaker 3: to be coming early because we are already getting messages
- 3:51Speaker 3: about it.
- 3:51Speaker 1: And I'm like, please, actually wait. She will be coming
- 3:55Speaker 1: on the Monday of the.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Week of Black Friday, so she will be coming five
- 4:00Speaker 3: days earlier, because yes, there will be sales that drop earlier,
- 4:04Speaker 3: but the best sales for Black Friday will drop that week,
- 4:08Speaker 3: So there's no point in us dropping a cheat sheet
- 4:10Speaker 3: when the sales aren't going.
- 4:10Speaker 1: To be good, because we actually probably wouldn't.
- 4:13Speaker 3: Recommend shopping earlier for most things, as we always say,
- 4:17Speaker 3: if you absolutely need want something and you can't risk
- 4:22Speaker 3: it selling out, do your think.
- 4:24Speaker 1: But that's coming and I'm so excited.
- 4:27Speaker 3: But this sale season, we had a discussion and we
- 4:32Speaker 3: wanted to incorporate a way that we could ensure we
- 4:36Speaker 3: were not only helping you chicks save money, but helping
- 4:40Speaker 3: those in need. So for all the money that we
- 4:42Speaker 3: make from our affiliate links or clicks or partners, we
- 4:48Speaker 3: will be donating to charity. So if you are using
- 4:52Speaker 3: the cheat sheet, or if you're in our bro Chicks
- 4:54Speaker 3: Club or shopping buy links on our stories or link
- 4:56Speaker 3: in bio and that is an affiliate link, we are
- 4:59Speaker 3: going to be donating all of that money to those
- 5:02Speaker 3: in need to help victims of domestic violence in Australia,
- 5:06Speaker 3: the people of Palestine, and also Sydney Dogs and Cats
- 5:09Speaker 3: home because it is just so important for us. It's
- 5:13Speaker 3: such a huge value for us to make sure that
- 5:15Speaker 3: we are giving back from all the privileges and amazing
- 5:18Speaker 3: experiences that we get doing this job. But I think
- 5:22Speaker 3: this year and this is my life lesson of the week,
- 5:24Speaker 3: but it's kind of my life lesson of the year
- 5:26Speaker 3: is that I and I know you feel this way too.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I just feel so much joy when we are helping
- 5:32Speaker 3: and we are giving back, and even when it is
- 5:35Speaker 3: just as small as doing an advent calendar giveaway, but
- 5:40Speaker 3: when we send that message and you know, the chick
- 5:43Speaker 3: lack replies or the person replies and says like, thank
- 5:46Speaker 3: you so much. And it's so wild how the universe
- 5:50Speaker 3: works because so often.
- 5:52Speaker 1: And it's always such a random draw. But for example, someone.
- 5:57Speaker 3: That won the Akosa bedroom give away, her daughter had
- 6:02Speaker 3: been really, really sick and they'd been renovating and they
- 6:05Speaker 3: couldn't afford to keep renovating because of these hospital bills.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And for her to win that, she was like, this
- 6:12Speaker 1: is just I needed this.
- 6:14Speaker 3: And it's just those moments that it's just makes me
- 6:18Speaker 3: feel so happy and it is such an important value
- 6:21Speaker 3: for us. As two people, but as like a collective
- 6:25Speaker 3: and a brand to ensure that we're always giving back.
- 6:27Speaker 3: So when you're doing your shopping this sale season and
- 6:30Speaker 3: Black Friday, not only will we have the best cheat
- 6:32Speaker 3: sheet and the best sales, we are your one stop shop.
- 6:35Speaker 3: We also will be having exclusive deals from brands. But
- 6:38Speaker 3: please know that your shopping is going to be going
- 6:41Speaker 3: towards helping people as well.
- 6:44Speaker 1: So Kisses, It's a gift for you and a gift
- 6:47Speaker 1: for those needs. Those needs to win WINU.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Love it all right, Let's get into what it means
- 6:54Speaker 3: to be rich in live? What does it mean to
- 7:02Speaker 3: be rich in life?
- 7:03Speaker 1: Rich in life is the ability.
- 7:05Speaker 3: To identify, prioritize, and embody small pieces of joy that
- 7:09Speaker 3: add up to an enriched daily experience. It's about blending
- 7:14Speaker 3: goals with joy and allowing growth in a way that
- 7:18Speaker 3: feeds your soul without feeling like it's a chore. It's
- 7:22Speaker 3: about being present when you're getting your morning coffee, laughing
- 7:25Speaker 3: with your friends, putting on a clean T shirt, or
- 7:27Speaker 3: watching the first episode from a new season of your
- 7:30Speaker 3: favorite TV show.
- 7:32Speaker 1: The rich in Life formula isn't.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Here to tell you to work out five times a week,
- 7:37Speaker 3: drink your water, call your parents, earn six figures, and
- 7:39Speaker 3: so on and so forth. It's here to help you
- 7:41Speaker 3: identify what truly brings you joy and give you the
- 7:44Speaker 3: tools to help you achieve it. We didn't make it
- 7:47Speaker 3: to be like seventy five fucking hard or life everyone
- 7:52Speaker 3: knows how I feel about that, or like make you
- 7:55Speaker 3: feel bad, like what these planners are and these journals
- 7:59Speaker 3: are and these conversation cards are.
- 8:01Speaker 1: It's things that make you feel good.
- 8:04Speaker 3: It's about finding what makes you happy and ways to
- 8:08Speaker 3: incorporate that. And sometimes the things that make you happy
- 8:11Speaker 3: sometimes they are hard to do, and it's about being
- 8:13Speaker 3: able to build that habit or make it fun. But
- 8:16Speaker 3: it's not about identifying all the things you think you're
- 8:19Speaker 3: lacking in and then being like, Okay, I've.
- 8:21Speaker 1: Got to go do this and I've got to do that.
- 8:23Speaker 3: I've got to do that absolutely, not yeah, like you
- 8:25Speaker 3: can put in your habit tracker like listen to music,
- 8:28Speaker 3: you know, Like, it's about finding things that make you
- 8:31Speaker 3: feel fucking joy and have a good time.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I'm so sick and tired.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Of people feeling and even myself feeling at some point
- 8:39Speaker 3: in time this year, like every day's the same, or
- 8:42Speaker 3: that you're not ready to kick a door if it's hinges,
- 8:45Speaker 3: or that you're not having fun play and fun is
- 8:47Speaker 3: like the best part of life, and that's the richness
- 8:51Speaker 3: that we aim to give with this brand. It's like
- 8:53Speaker 3: a wellness brand that doesn't take itself too seriously.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, because that is so not our vibe or
- 9:01Speaker 2: our lifestyle. And we still want to challenge ourselves and
- 9:04Speaker 2: grow and become the best version of ourselves. But that
- 9:09Speaker 2: doesn't entail punishing yourself and putting yourself through things to
- 9:14Speaker 2: meet other people's expectations or even expectations that you put
- 9:18Speaker 2: on yourself that aren't going to make you happy.
- 9:20Speaker 3: Yeah, growth should be challenging, but never negative, like never
- 9:27Speaker 3: hard in a way that it's not right for you.
- 9:30Speaker 3: Because as like the very famous saying goes, anything that's
- 9:34Speaker 3: meant for you will never miss you. So like if
- 9:36Speaker 3: you're going against the grain on something like yes, growth
- 9:40Speaker 3: is challenge and there will always be highs and lows
- 9:44Speaker 3: and adversity, and if everything's good, then nothing's good.
- 9:48Speaker 1: But it's like not.
- 9:50Speaker 3: Everything should be hard. Not everything needs to feel like
- 9:53Speaker 3: an uphill battle. And that's why we made the planners
- 9:56Speaker 3: because there are so many amazing wellness brands and planners
- 10:00Speaker 3: out there, and absolutely like, if those work for you,
- 10:03Speaker 3: that's amazing. But I always felt like I was falling
- 10:05Speaker 3: behind in them because I was like, oh, fuck, I
- 10:08Speaker 3: didn't I didn't drink seven hundred liters of water today,
- 10:12Speaker 3: or I didn't do this, or I didn't do that.
- 10:14Speaker 3: And it's more about just finding what brings you joy
- 10:17Speaker 3: and that's why we made them.
- 10:18Speaker 1: But they are a little bit a little bit different
- 10:20Speaker 1: to last year.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so how the twenty twenty five planner is different
- 10:25Speaker 2: to the twenty twenty four planner. The biggest difference is
- 10:30Speaker 2: that this year's planner is fully customizable to your own goals.
- 10:35Speaker 2: So we still have the twelve focuses throughout the year, but.
- 10:39Speaker 1: Last year we gave you your monthly focuses.
- 10:42Speaker 2: But this year it's all up to you, which I
- 10:45Speaker 2: think is so amazing because you know, you can really
- 10:49Speaker 2: sit down and be like, what do I want to
- 10:50Speaker 2: achieve this year and map out your focuses for the
- 10:54Speaker 2: year that ladder up to.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Whatever your greater goal is, or you can do it
- 10:59Speaker 1: as you go. Oh, like, you can really.
- 11:01Speaker 2: Mix and match it and customize it to what's going
- 11:05Speaker 2: to be motivating for you.
- 11:07Speaker 3: And it's also different because this year's is dated. Last
- 11:11Speaker 3: years was undated and after high request. It also features
- 11:17Speaker 3: a ribbon so that you can keep track of where
- 11:19Speaker 3: you are. We dated it as requested. It was one
- 11:23Speaker 3: of the highest requests from last year as well. But
- 11:26Speaker 3: it also helps keep you on track because I think
- 11:30Speaker 3: the reason people can go for undated things is and
- 11:33Speaker 3: I think it's fair enough, is because you can fall
- 11:35Speaker 3: off goals. But the point of this planner is that
- 11:39Speaker 3: it accounts for that. It has a refocused section in
- 11:43Speaker 3: the middle of every single month to help you get
- 11:46Speaker 3: back on track of whatever That focus is. That it's
- 11:49Speaker 3: okay if you don't keep up on your focuses per month.
- 11:53Speaker 3: So the biggest difference between this year and last year
- 11:57Speaker 3: is that we developed and created the rich in Life formula.
- 12:02Speaker 3: So it combines the science of microhabits, dopamine menus, goal
- 12:06Speaker 3: mapping and mood hydration, and budget tracking plus five worksheets
- 12:11Speaker 3: per month to keep you on track with your focus.
- 12:13Speaker 3: So basically, the year is broken down into twelve customized
- 12:19Speaker 3: monthly focuses and within those months, you've got five phases
- 12:23Speaker 3: which is Rise, Reset, Refocus, rest, and reflection. So Rise
- 12:29Speaker 3: is what do I want to focus on this month?
- 12:31Speaker 3: Reset is how do I.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Create an environment that I can.
- 12:34Speaker 3: Achieve this, Refocus is what can I introduce or change
- 12:38Speaker 3: to stay on track? Rest is what do I want
- 12:41Speaker 3: to leave behind that doesn't serve me? And reflection is
- 12:44Speaker 3: things I loved, learned and will improve on. And I
- 12:48Speaker 3: love these because as someone who can get bored with
- 12:50Speaker 3: shit really easily, I need like a little worksheet in
- 12:53Speaker 3: there to kind of keep me on track and be like, ooh,
- 12:57Speaker 3: what's new, what's fun? And then it's like twelve of
- 13:00Speaker 3: thirty day challenges, which I'm.
- 13:03Speaker 1: A slot for a thirty day challenge.
- 13:05Speaker 3: So if you can't commit to anything longer than that,
- 13:08Speaker 3: which is definitely tricky, like you know, we are all human,
- 13:12Speaker 3: it freshens it up and keeps it interesting all year,
- 13:15Speaker 3: and you can change your focus, so you can divide
- 13:18Speaker 3: it up in two different ways. And that is my
- 13:22Speaker 3: first life changing habit that costs nothing and is completely
- 13:28Speaker 3: changed my twenty twenty four when I learned about this.
- 13:30Speaker 3: But it's called goal mapping. So in the planner, we
- 13:33Speaker 3: teach you how to do this, and there are two
- 13:35Speaker 3: ways that you can goal map, and it's basically every
- 13:38Speaker 3: month you can choose a completely different focus. So January
- 13:41Speaker 3: could be money, February could be friends, March could be career,
- 13:46Speaker 3: and you can just choose little pieces of your life
- 13:49Speaker 3: that you want to focus on for thirty days and
- 13:51Speaker 3: then once you get that in that fucking bag because
- 13:53Speaker 3: you're a boss ass bitch, then you move on to
- 13:55Speaker 3: the next thing that you want to focus on and
- 13:57Speaker 3: it keeps it really interesting. Or you can goal map
- 14:00Speaker 3: in a way that you have a long term goal
- 14:03Speaker 3: at the end of the year. Let's say it's you
- 14:05Speaker 3: want to save ten thousand dollars or you want to
- 14:08Speaker 3: run five k's by the.
- 14:10Speaker 1: End of the year, right.
- 14:11Speaker 3: You would then break that down over twelve months to
- 14:15Speaker 3: gradually lead up to that end goal. So you would
- 14:18Speaker 3: create twelve short term goals that equal your twelve.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Month long term goal. So January would be go for.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Two walks per week that are like thirty minutes. Then
- 14:30Speaker 3: February would be like, go for three walks that are
- 14:33Speaker 3: thirty minutes. Then March would be go for two walks
- 14:36Speaker 3: and one run, and then you would gradually do that.
- 14:40Speaker 1: But the best hack is.
- 14:42Speaker 3: It can be difficult to be like, well, this is
- 14:44Speaker 3: my end goal that I want, but I don't know
- 14:47Speaker 3: what my monthly focuses should be to add up to that.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Baby, that's where we use AI. So I did this
- 14:56Speaker 1: for next year, and I was like, do you know what,
- 14:58Speaker 1: I'm just going to start now.
- 15:00Speaker 3: And I put in what I want my goals to be,
- 15:02Speaker 3: and I said, create a twelve month plan for me
- 15:07Speaker 3: every month for me to achieve these goals.
- 15:10Speaker 1: And I just spat them back out and I was like, sweet,
- 15:13Speaker 1: that cost me nothing. Yeah, it's so easy.
- 15:16Speaker 3: So you can use AI to backtrack your goals on
- 15:18Speaker 3: what you want to achieve and then break them down
- 15:20Speaker 3: over twelve months, and then your five phases within the
- 15:23Speaker 3: month help keep you on track for all of those. Yeah,
- 15:27Speaker 3: and we also recommend that if you are planning these
- 15:29Speaker 3: out in advance for the year, when you're fielling out
- 15:33Speaker 3: your journal, you can also use a pencil. We actually
- 15:36Speaker 3: require you to use a pencil because goals are meant
- 15:39Speaker 3: to change. Yeah, so you can rub it out and adjust,
- 15:43Speaker 3: sub it out.
- 15:44Speaker 1: You can rub it out. You can rub it out
- 15:47Speaker 1: your goals and you can jange your girls. But yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 1: they're not set in stone.
- 15:51Speaker 2: They're meant to change and evolve as you do, so
- 15:55Speaker 2: use a pencil in that part for sure. And you
- 15:57Speaker 2: know what, sometimes taking off the pressure on your goals
- 16:00Speaker 2: is the key to achieving them.
- 16:02Speaker 1: What's your life changing habit that costs nothing? My first
- 16:05Speaker 1: life changing.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Habit that costs zero dollars is turning guilty pleasures into
- 16:10Speaker 2: guilt free pleasures. In the rich in Life Journal, we
- 16:13Speaker 2: have twelve different focuses with fifteen different journal prompts under
- 16:18Speaker 2: each one, and one of them is guilt free.
- 16:21Speaker 1: And I think, you know, it's like picking your favorite child,
- 16:24Speaker 1: but it's my favorite two.
- 16:25Speaker 2: But I do really love the guilt free section because
- 16:28Speaker 2: I think that in life and to feel rich in life,
- 16:32Speaker 2: we really need to embrace the silly little things that
- 16:35Speaker 2: make us happy, even if they're cringe or uncool, or
- 16:38Speaker 2: maybe you think they're a bit self indulgent, because they're
- 16:41Speaker 2: purely about enjoying yourself and having a good time. So
- 16:45Speaker 2: I think, as a habit, ask yourself, if you could
- 16:47Speaker 2: spend an entire day doing whatever you.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Wanted guilt free, what would it look like and why?
- 16:54Speaker 1: And then build whatever that is into your weekly routine.
- 17:01Speaker 2: So maybe that could be binge watching RuPaul's Drag Race,
- 17:06Speaker 2: or sleeping in on a Sunday, or baking a silly,
- 17:11Speaker 2: little girly treat for yourself.
- 17:14Speaker 3: My favorite thing about that question is when you write
- 17:17Speaker 3: it out in the journal or on a piece of paper,
- 17:20Speaker 3: you realize how achievable that day is.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's not, you know. It's like when you ask
- 17:27Speaker 1: the question what's your perfect day?
- 17:29Speaker 3: The only thing that you know everything that makes you
- 17:32Speaker 3: happy right now, because you've already experienced it.
- 17:35Speaker 1: That's why there's a whole lesson about one hundred and
- 17:38Speaker 1: one essays to change the way you think.
- 17:41Speaker 3: You actually can't assume something will make you happy. The
- 17:45Speaker 3: only thing you know is what you have experienced. So
- 17:48Speaker 3: when you think, okay, what's my perfect day or what's my.
- 17:51Speaker 1: Guilt free day, you've already experienced that.
- 17:54Speaker 3: And that is something that is the most amazing realization
- 17:58Speaker 3: because it makes you realize how achievable that is, unless
- 18:01Speaker 3: it's like go on a fucking Disneyland like tomorrow. Right Obviously,
- 18:05Speaker 3: I would say ninety nine percent of people, their guilt
- 18:08Speaker 3: free day or their most perfect day is the most gentle,
- 18:11Speaker 3: easy day of just enjoying themselves. Yeah, and I think
- 18:16Speaker 3: that's the best part, Like, that's my favorite realization.
- 18:19Speaker 1: It's like, you can literally do that probably this weekend.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Yeah, And I think a really key part of that
- 18:26Speaker 2: is making sure that you're not looking at it like
- 18:30Speaker 2: it's a guilty pleasure and that it is a guilt
- 18:32Speaker 2: free pleasure, because I think that if we're made to
- 18:35Speaker 2: feel guilty about the things that allow us to switch
- 18:39Speaker 2: our brain off or feel joy or embrace out in
- 18:42Speaker 2: a child, you're not really enjoying it because in the
- 18:46Speaker 2: back of your head you're like, oh, but I should
- 18:47Speaker 2: be putting the washing away, Oh don't, or I've got
- 18:50Speaker 2: this deadline.
- 18:51Speaker 1: At worsh or this is cringe.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Why am I watching Love Island when I could be
- 18:57Speaker 2: watching the news. That takes away the joy and the
- 19:00Speaker 2: benefit of doing those guilt free activities because you're not
- 19:04Speaker 2: fully leaning in and enjoying it.
- 19:06Speaker 1: So that's the key. Just rebrand, rebrand. But yeah, that's
- 19:12Speaker 1: my first habit, love it.
- 19:14Speaker 3: My next life changing habit that costs nothing is understanding
- 19:18Speaker 3: the difference between dopamine menus versus habit tracking. So dopamine
- 19:23Speaker 3: menus is something that absolutely popped off this year and
- 19:26Speaker 3: I was like.
- 19:27Speaker 1: Give that to me, now, I love it. I always
- 19:31Speaker 1: love a trend like.
- 19:32Speaker 3: Don't don't get it twisted. They just don't stick around
- 19:35Speaker 3: all the time. I'm like every other girly babe, but
- 19:37Speaker 3: like that, I was like, that is staying. That is sticking.
- 19:40Speaker 3: And we actually ended up putting a dopamine menu in
- 19:44Speaker 3: the planner because I was like, I love this.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I want everyone to do this. It's the most perfect
- 19:49Speaker 1: thing in the world.
- 19:49Speaker 3: We do have a full episode on dopamine menus and
- 19:52Speaker 3: how to build yours and a budget, so I don't
- 19:54Speaker 3: want to overlap and go too much into it. But basically,
- 19:57Speaker 3: a dopamine menu is your little list of.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Things that bring you joy. It's broken up into appetizer.
- 20:04Speaker 3: Main course, dessert, and side dishes, and it's how you
- 20:08Speaker 3: not only one get shit done, but identify the things
- 20:10Speaker 3: that give you good brain juice and high level quality
- 20:13Speaker 3: of dopamine. So how I look at a dopamine menu
- 20:16Speaker 3: is it's like the fun singular activities during the week
- 20:20Speaker 3: that bring you joy or achievement ensure These include things
- 20:23Speaker 3: that bring you the high quality dopamine, such as doing
- 20:26Speaker 3: your washing, cleaning your makeup brushes, doing a polarities class,
- 20:30Speaker 3: but also fun things like making a Pinterest board, or
- 20:33Speaker 3: doing your shower makeup, or watching your favorite movie. Like
- 20:38Speaker 3: it's adding things on your to do list that are
- 20:42Speaker 3: about having fun and having a good time. So often
- 20:46Speaker 3: now to do list is things that we don't want
- 20:48Speaker 3: to do, Yeah, which then like, why would you do that?
- 20:52Speaker 1: How boring is that?
- 20:53Speaker 3: That's why we never finish that. That's why we never
- 20:55Speaker 3: finish them. And that's why we fucking hate being an
- 20:57Speaker 3: adult because everything that we have to do we don't
- 21:00Speaker 3: want to do because we never.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Prioritize the things we actually want to do. Yeah, And
- 21:05Speaker 1: it's annoying.
- 21:07Speaker 4: It makes me so frustrated because I'm like, fucking hell,
- 21:11Speaker 4: we get so little time to enjoy our life, and
- 21:15Speaker 4: when you're on your deathbed, you're not gonna be like,
- 21:17Speaker 4: thank god, I drank seventeen gallons of water a day
- 21:22Speaker 4: and in.
- 21:22Speaker 1: Seventy five hard two months a day.
- 21:26Speaker 3: Like you know, like there's just so many rules that
- 21:29Speaker 3: we apparently have to tick off, and we prioritize those
- 21:32Speaker 3: that are absolutely made up.
- 21:33Speaker 1: They're all fake, and we don't end up having a
- 21:36Speaker 1: fucking good time.
- 21:37Speaker 3: So without that rant popping off, Sally, come on, calm down,
- 21:42Speaker 3: we digress. Learning the difference between having habits that are
- 21:47Speaker 3: for self growth and self betterment versus a dopamine menu,
- 21:52Speaker 3: which is about prioritizing joy, has completely changed the way
- 21:56Speaker 3: I look about structuring my life and my goal and
- 22:00Speaker 3: everything I want to achieve, because absolutely, yes, we want
- 22:04Speaker 3: to have we want to have habits that are important
- 22:06Speaker 3: for our health, like moving our body and eating nutritious
- 22:10Speaker 3: meals and drinking water and being around the people we love.
- 22:14Speaker 1: Those are so important.
- 22:15Speaker 3: I'm not taking away from that, and I absolutely love
- 22:17Speaker 3: having those in my ritual and routine as well. But
- 22:20Speaker 3: let's not forget about the shitty little things that just
- 22:23Speaker 3: make us happy, that just bring us joy.
- 22:25Speaker 1: And it doesn't matter. It's so customized to what you
- 22:27Speaker 1: want it to be too.
- 22:28Speaker 3: It could be just trying on clothes at home and
- 22:31Speaker 3: just making outfits, whatever that is, watching your hair tutorial
- 22:34Speaker 3: on YouTube and playing with your hair.
- 22:36Speaker 1: I don't give a fuck.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Yeah, just find what makes you happy and put it
- 22:40Speaker 3: in that little fucking dopamine menu, or I'm gonna come
- 22:43Speaker 3: up and I'm going to give you a kiss on
- 22:44Speaker 3: the cheek and I'm gonna hold you and cuddle you
- 22:46Speaker 3: and say come here and I'm going to sit with
- 22:49Speaker 3: you and write it out together.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Oh my god, sit on mummy's Okay.
- 22:53Speaker 3: That's the most aggressive gentle parenting I've ever heard, but truly,
- 22:58Speaker 3: because that's the thing that is such a difference between
- 23:01Speaker 3: dopamine menus versus habit tracking. So habit tracking, which is
- 23:05Speaker 3: also in the plant, is about the daily.
- 23:07Speaker 1: Micro habits that you want to build into your routine.
- 23:09Speaker 3: So your dopamin menu is for your week, your habit
- 23:12Speaker 3: tracking is for your daily habits. And this might look
- 23:15Speaker 3: like waking up thirty minutes earlier, reading one page of
- 23:18Speaker 3: a book per night, and going for a twenty minute walk.
- 23:20Speaker 3: But it's about reoccurring habits that maybe take a bit
- 23:23Speaker 3: more work at being consistent with, but have a prices payoff.
- 23:28Speaker 1: But I think it's it's really.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Important to know the difference between those two. And once
- 23:31Speaker 3: I learned about that, I was like, oh, maga this
- 23:36Speaker 3: o maga, Oh maga, girl, you have no idea how
- 23:41Speaker 3: much change?
- 23:43Speaker 1: I think I blacked out during that. Sorry, yeah she
- 23:46Speaker 1: had a rage blackout.
- 23:47Speaker 3: Yeah I had a rage blackout of loving everyone, of
- 23:50Speaker 3: wanting the best for everyone.
- 23:51Speaker 1: That is me as a human. That's a thing that
- 23:55Speaker 1: is like aries vibes for sure, being like I love, yeah, yeah,
- 23:59Speaker 1: aggressive love.
- 24:01Speaker 2: My next life changing habit is having rich conversations.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Have you noticed that when you catch up with people,
- 24:08Speaker 1: it always goes something like have you been?
- 24:12Speaker 2: How's work?
- 24:13Speaker 1: What are you up to this weekend?
- 24:15Speaker 2: And I do think that these questions are good to have,
- 24:18Speaker 2: you know, I don't think there's anything wrong with asking them.
- 24:21Speaker 2: But if we limit ourselves to asking only these surface
- 24:25Speaker 2: level questions, how can we really have deep connections and
- 24:29Speaker 2: rich conversations with people. And I've made this a habit
- 24:33Speaker 2: for myself, especially when I'm speaking to my parents or
- 24:37Speaker 2: to my nan, because I realized that I don't really
- 24:41Speaker 2: know much about their lives or their perspectives before I
- 24:46Speaker 2: was around, or even just about topics of conversation that
- 24:50Speaker 2: you wouldn't necessarily have with your family.
- 24:54Speaker 1: So every time I talk to them.
- 24:56Speaker 2: On the phone or I see them in person, I
- 24:59Speaker 2: make a to ask them a question about something in
- 25:03Speaker 2: their life, or even if it's like something that's happening
- 25:06Speaker 2: on the news, or asking them like what TV shows
- 25:10Speaker 2: have they been watching?
- 25:11Speaker 1: And making an effort to ask things.
- 25:14Speaker 2: That I just don't know about them and learning more
- 25:18Speaker 2: about them.
- 25:19Speaker 1: And I think you can apply that to people like
- 25:21Speaker 1: that in your life, or you.
- 25:23Speaker 2: Can do it in your friendships or relationships or when
- 25:25Speaker 2: you're meeting somebody new. And we did a whole episode
- 25:29Speaker 2: on how to have rich conversations and about the Rich
- 25:33Speaker 2: Conversations card game that we dropped, so I won't go
- 25:36Speaker 2: into it too much, but that's why we launched it
- 25:39Speaker 2: to help give you prompts to have those conversations from
- 25:44Speaker 2: silly topics to serious and more deep and meaningful, because
- 25:48Speaker 2: I think that's why we asked the how have you
- 25:50Speaker 2: been and what are you doing this weekend because we
- 25:54Speaker 2: don't know what else time.
- 25:55Speaker 3: Sometimes you just need something to give you a little
- 25:58Speaker 3: bit of a helping hand, and that's fine, Like when
- 26:00Speaker 3: you like it's like when someone says, oh, like tell
- 26:04Speaker 3: me about yourself, You're like, oh, but I don't know,
- 26:07Speaker 3: Like you need that thing that's like, oh, I've actually
- 26:10Speaker 3: got an answer for that. Like you need that little
- 26:13Speaker 3: thing that's the spark to ignite.
- 26:14Speaker 1: The flame, the flame of conversation.
- 26:19Speaker 2: No.
- 26:19Speaker 1: I love that. Yeah, definitely go give that episode a listen.
- 26:23Speaker 3: It came out on Tuesday and ten out of ten
- 26:25Speaker 3: recommend we revealed the silliest things we've ever done to
- 26:28Speaker 3: impress someone, and I already want to take the episode down.
- 26:32Speaker 2: What have we done?
- 26:34Speaker 1: Oh my god, I'm actually incredibly embarrassing. It's too much.
- 26:39Speaker 3: And my last life changing habit is mood tracking. So,
- 26:45Speaker 3: according to the Better Health Channel, understanding your moods helps
- 26:48Speaker 3: you manage them and feel better faster. If you are
- 26:52Speaker 3: more aware of your moods, you may be able to
- 26:54Speaker 3: better manage your lifestyle choices, make informed health decisions, prevent
- 26:59Speaker 3: or avoid triggers negative moods, and work towards a better
- 27:02Speaker 3: quality of life. And like, isn't that? Isn't that the
- 27:05Speaker 3: whole goal? Really the whole goal, the.
- 27:08Speaker 1: Whole any holes the goal? And so I have been
- 27:15Speaker 1: doing this recently and it.
- 27:18Speaker 5: Is literally the wildest thing of how you realize what
- 27:24Speaker 5: puts you in a good mood and what puts you
- 27:26Speaker 5: in a ship mood, Because when you're not tracking it,
- 27:28Speaker 5: you're not keeping like a mental filing cabinet of all
- 27:31Speaker 5: the things.
- 27:32Speaker 3: That do just absolutely make you feel like a wet mop.
- 27:36Speaker 1: And then when you do, you're like when you if
- 27:38Speaker 1: you have the planner.
- 27:39Speaker 3: You don't have to have the planet to do this, obviously,
- 27:41Speaker 3: But when I would like, you know, circle maybe the
- 27:45Speaker 3: sad face because I'd had a bit of a bad.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Day and I was like, oh, do you know what,
- 27:49Speaker 1: I didn't do that today?
- 27:50Speaker 3: And that does normally like I didn't listen to music
- 27:52Speaker 3: when I woke up, and then that meant that I
- 27:54Speaker 3: didn't do this, and then that meant that I did
- 27:55Speaker 3: and then those are all the things that bring me joy.
- 27:58Speaker 1: And then on the days that.
- 27:59Speaker 3: I would circle happy face or like that, yeah it
- 28:02Speaker 3: was a good day face, I'm like, oh. But it
- 28:04Speaker 3: helps you identify the things that you do that do
- 28:08Speaker 3: make you feel good, and it acts as like a
- 28:10Speaker 3: little bit of a motivator.
- 28:12Speaker 1: It's like how people say you love working out once
- 28:15Speaker 1: you start seeing results.
- 28:17Speaker 3: I kind of don't really like that whole memo because
- 28:20Speaker 3: you don't have to change where you look to feel good.
- 28:21Speaker 3: But with this it is similar because you start identifying
- 28:27Speaker 3: the things that make you feel good, you feel the
- 28:28Speaker 3: results of feeling good, so then you're more motivated to
- 28:31Speaker 3: do them.
- 28:32Speaker 1: So sleigh to mood tracking and out of ten big sleighs.
- 28:37Speaker 2: My last life changing habit that costs zero dollars is
- 28:40Speaker 2: giving back.
- 28:42Speaker 1: So this kind of links back to your.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Life lesson, our our life, I would say, it's our
- 28:46Speaker 2: life lesson. Yeah it is, and I'm sure a lot
- 28:49Speaker 2: of the chicks resonated with.
- 28:50Speaker 1: It as well, especially this year.
- 28:52Speaker 2: But I think there are so many ways that you
- 28:55Speaker 2: can give back beyond giving money as well. I think,
- 28:59Speaker 2: of course that is so important, But for this particular habit,
- 29:03Speaker 2: I wanted to talk about zero dollar ways to give
- 29:06Speaker 2: back that you can build in as habits for yourself
- 29:10Speaker 2: and some examples of that. So, for example, even when
- 29:14Speaker 2: you see a friend stressed out or you've noticed that
- 29:16Speaker 2: they're low, ask them, is there anything I can do
- 29:20Speaker 2: to help? Or if you can see that you know
- 29:24Speaker 2: they're struggling with something, to be like, what can I
- 29:26Speaker 2: do to take this off your plate? Or do you
- 29:29Speaker 2: want me to come around and help you declutter? Or
- 29:32Speaker 2: do you want me to drop you off to the
- 29:33Speaker 2: airport or whatever that thing is that doesn't take you know,
- 29:38Speaker 2: a whole lot of money or a big grand gesture
- 29:41Speaker 2: to do, but it's still giving back and shows that
- 29:45Speaker 2: you care and that you're noticing that they need help.
- 29:48Speaker 1: Because we covered this a few weeks ago.
- 29:50Speaker 2: But you know, people don't always ask or reach out
- 29:53Speaker 2: when they need help. So I think that's a really
- 29:55Speaker 2: good habit to sort of zoom out as well and
- 29:58Speaker 2: try and take in how other people around you are doing.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I think also donating your time to a cause that
- 30:05Speaker 2: you care about, whether that's like volunteering at an animal
- 30:08Speaker 2: shelter or whatever it may be, signing petitions, and also
- 30:14Speaker 2: sharing social media posts to raise awareness for something that
- 30:17Speaker 2: you're passionate about. I think that if you have money
- 30:20Speaker 2: to donate to a cause that you care about, of
- 30:23Speaker 2: course that is amazing and we definitely recommend that. But
- 30:27Speaker 2: if you don't, try not to feel down on yourself
- 30:31Speaker 2: or you know, powerless, because there are so many other
- 30:34Speaker 2: things that you can do that don't cost a lot
- 30:36Speaker 2: of money to give back. And I think that giving
- 30:40Speaker 2: back without the expectation of getting something in return is
- 30:44Speaker 2: the best feeling and will leave you feeling.
- 30:46Speaker 1: So rich in life. Yeah, I'm just even smiling as
- 30:50Speaker 1: you're talking.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Yeah, while you're reflecting each week, ask yourself, what's one
- 30:55Speaker 2: thing that I did for someone else without hoping to
- 30:59Speaker 2: get something return. But I think if you want to
- 31:01Speaker 2: build it in as a habit, then that.
- 31:04Speaker 1: Will help you. I love that as a daily habit.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Yeah, Like turn that into one of those autopilot habits
- 31:10Speaker 2: that we were talking about, even if it's.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Just like complimenting someone on the.
- 31:14Speaker 3: Train or like really thanking your barista for making something.
- 31:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I always say that whenever somebody like helps us out,
- 31:23Speaker 2: like a stranger.
- 31:24Speaker 1: I'm always like, that's your good deed for the day.
- 31:26Speaker 3: Yeah, because my favorite thing is to say to like
- 31:29Speaker 3: a d D driver, thanks for getting me home safe.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Oh that's really nice.
- 31:34Speaker 3: And every time I say it, I just see them like,
- 31:37Speaker 3: sit up a little bit straighter.
- 31:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that I'm getting my period next week.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I think, oh, watch it. Put that in your planner.
- 31:51Speaker 1: Well that's the rich in life formula. Booby.
- 31:56Speaker 3: We love you, and we hope you guys love the
- 31:59Speaker 3: planner and the and as always, thank you so much
- 32:03Speaker 3: for your support. Like that's what makes us feel rich
- 32:05Speaker 3: in life doing this job and being there for you chicks,
- 32:08Speaker 3: and you chick's being there for us. Like again, I
- 32:11Speaker 3: said it on Tuesday, and I made everyone uncomfortable. But
- 32:14Speaker 3: I just want to reach in through your ear hole
- 32:15Speaker 3: and give you a kiss on the inside. Of your
- 32:18Speaker 3: ear with tongue like, I just love you and I
- 32:22Speaker 3: think you're all beautiful and amazing, and thank you so
- 32:25Speaker 3: much for letting us do this job and help as
- 32:29Speaker 3: much as we can. And you cheeks help us too,
- 32:32Speaker 3: every single fucking day. So if you do want to
- 32:35Speaker 3: get your hands on a rich In life planner, journal,
- 32:39Speaker 3: conversation cards or the bundle which you save twenty dollars
- 32:41Speaker 3: on so broke Trag tip, you can head to the
- 32:44Speaker 3: link in the show notes. And yeah, I just am
- 32:48Speaker 3: so filled with love and I feel reach to live and.
- 32:51Speaker 1: I love you, and I love the cheeks, and I
- 32:53Speaker 1: love everything, and I love everything.
- 32:55Speaker 2: And please tag us in your stories and your posts
- 32:59Speaker 2: when you using any of the products, because it absolutely
- 33:02Speaker 2: makes our day to see where you're using them and
- 33:05Speaker 2: how you're using them.
- 33:06Speaker 1: And it just helps us as a little business women,
- 33:08Speaker 1: you know. Yeah that too. Also it helps spread the
- 33:11Speaker 1: words also that you are our influencers, so true. The
- 33:16Speaker 1: chicks are my favorite influence out of tad All right,
- 33:20Speaker 1: Not on that note, love y'all, love you chicks. Thanks
- 33:23Speaker 1: for having us in your ear holes.
- 33:24Speaker 2: We love to be here, and thanks to mk made
- 33:26Speaker 2: for making today's episode happen my chicks
