- 0:00Speaker 1: It is Hunt and Withrow presented by Hard Rock Bet.
- 0:02Speaker 1: More with Tim Brando straight ahead. Right now, Clay Travis Law.
- 0:06Speaker 1: It's coming right after Tim, after his 11 a.m. pissed
- 0:09Speaker 1: off for greatness rant there. Accidents don't wait for a
- 0:11Speaker 1: great time. You've got bad moments here. A wreck, a fall,
- 0:14Speaker 1: a doctor who wasn't paying attention. More than a bad moment. Suddenly,
- 0:17Speaker 1: you're fighting an insurance company that does this every single day.
- 0:21Speaker 1: And that's why Clay started Clay Travis Law. He's a
- 0:23Speaker 1: Vanderbilt Law grad, built a firm around one idea, that
- 0:26Speaker 1: people deserve someone willing to pay attention. Ask the hard questions.

- 0:39Speaker 2: That's 877-222-4444.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I don't remember phone numbers. This was very easy. 877-222-4444.
- 0:41Speaker 3: That's ClayTravisLaw.com. Timmy, a Mike Ditka story.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 0:58Speaker 4: Those years that I was at CBS doing the college
- 1:00Speaker 4: football today with Spencer Tillman, and even prior to that,
- 1:04Speaker 4: Coach Holtz and Craig James the first year, he had
- 1:07Speaker 4: come in to help save the NFL today with Jim Nance,
- 1:11Speaker 4: and Jerry Glanville was in there with him.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Can you imagine Glanville and Ditka together?
- 1:17Speaker 4: Now, we did– people have always asked, the NFL guys
- 1:20Speaker 4: and the college guys, did you guys spend some– yeah,
- 1:23Speaker 4: we did.
- 1:24Speaker 2: We did.
- 1:25Speaker 4: And Iron Mike– And those guys would always be out
- 1:29Speaker 4: on Friday night when we were getting in. And we
- 1:35Speaker 4: would be out on Friday night at Ben Benson's Steakhouse
- 1:39Speaker 4: on West.
- 1:40Speaker 2: 52nd between 6th and 7th. That was our haunt. That's
- 1:44Speaker 2: where we went.
- 1:44Speaker 4: And after our games on Saturdays, the guy that was
- 1:50Speaker 4: in charge, it was the night manager there, Jimmy O'Brien,
- 1:53Speaker 4: took care of all of us. And we knew we
- 1:55Speaker 4: had our table waiting for us as soon as that
- 1:57Speaker 4: SEC game was over on Saturdays. But on Friday nights,
- 2:01Speaker 4: Ditka and those guys would be out. And there was
- 2:03Speaker 4: also a bar, like a little Irish bar right across
- 2:06Speaker 4: the street from the then Riga Royal Hotel. If you're
- 2:09Speaker 4: ever in New York now, it's the London Hotel on
- 2:12Speaker 4: West 54th between 6th and 7th. And those guys would
- 2:15Speaker 4: always finish up their night there. Well, there was a
- 2:17Speaker 4: beautiful lobby bar in the Riga. And God only knows
- 2:20Speaker 4: who you might see on a given night.
- 2:22Speaker 5: Right. Right.
- 2:23Speaker 2: Mike was big.
- 2:26Speaker 4: On red wine, and he was big on passing out
- 2:30Speaker 4: C-notes to all the bartenders and to anyone that, I mean,
- 2:35Speaker 4: he had a stack of, it's a true story. Nance
- 2:39Speaker 4: was asked about it earlier. I saw him being interviewed
- 2:43Speaker 4: on another website about it. And Jim took some time
- 2:47Speaker 4: and said, isn't that a little costly? And Mike said,
- 2:51Speaker 4: you know what? And I did, I saw it with
- 2:53Speaker 4: my own eyes. He got a little imbibed one night
- 2:57Speaker 4: across the street and I was in the lobby bar
- 3:01Speaker 4: and some people called and said, hey, they need some
- 3:04Speaker 4: help across the street.
- 3:05Speaker 2: Okay, so we, you know, and.
- 3:08Speaker 4: I started to go and then they said, no, no, no, Timmy,
- 3:11Speaker 4: there's enough people there.
- 3:12Speaker 2: He's going to be okay.
- 3:13Speaker 4: Glanville and a few, Mike needed a little help getting.
- 3:18Speaker 2: Across the street.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 3:19Speaker 4: And Everybody that came in his wake and all the people,
- 3:23Speaker 4: he was such a lovely guy. And he had imbibed
- 3:27Speaker 4: a little too much that night, but he was passing
- 3:29Speaker 4: out 100s to all of them, literally $ 100 bills to
- 3:33Speaker 4: everybody that reached out. And I asked him the next day,
- 3:38Speaker 4: I saw him at the, they were having their meetings
- 3:41Speaker 4: on that Saturday while we were doing our show.
- 3:44Speaker 2: And he was fine.
- 3:46Speaker 4: Big Mike, he rebounded big time. He could rebound with
- 3:48Speaker 4: the best of them. And so I said, I said,
- 3:51Speaker 4: how are you feeling coach? He said, I'm good.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Short a couple of hundred, but I'm good. It's just
- 4:01Speaker 2: the way he took it.
- 4:02Speaker 4: It was like, Hey, I need it. You know, it
- 4:04Speaker 4: looks and I appreciate where I said, no, no, no.
- 4:06Speaker 4: I started to come over, but I, you didn't need me. I,
- 4:09Speaker 4: you were good. And you were, you were in better
- 4:12Speaker 4: shape than I thought when he said, God's not a problem.
- 4:15Speaker 2: But I mean, that is who he was big heart.
- 4:18Speaker 2: He did everything big.
- 4:21Speaker 4: And he worked hard and he played hard. And he
- 4:24Speaker 4: lived a very full 86 years.
- 4:28Speaker 2: We're all going to miss him.
- 4:29Speaker 4: But he'll resonate with us in death very similarly to
- 4:32Speaker 4: the way he resonated with us in life. Because he
- 4:36Speaker 4: was a bigger than life personality. But a better human
- 4:39Speaker 4: being you would not meet. I was a big Dave
- 4:43Speaker 4: Wonstadt fan. And Dave was toying with getting into TV
- 4:47Speaker 4: and toying with taking the pit job And they had
- 4:51Speaker 4: him come in to be on the NFL Today after
- 4:54Speaker 4: he had been fired by the Dolphins. And I was
- 4:58Speaker 4: trying to get him to take the pit job. And
- 5:00Speaker 4: Ditka overheard me saying to Juan, say, yeah, hell yeah.
- 5:05Speaker 4: Get your ass in there. We need some toughness in
- 5:08Speaker 4: that damn program again.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Get over there. We need you.
- 5:12Speaker 4: And it was like, in a couple of weeks after that,
- 5:15Speaker 4: I see, oh, Juan, he's taking the job. He's going
- 5:17Speaker 4: to be over at pit again.
- 5:18Speaker 3: So.
- 5:19Speaker 4: you know, those, those kinds of stories will live with
- 5:21Speaker 4: me forever. And I, to be a, it was like
- 5:24Speaker 4: being a fly on the wall with legends is what
- 5:26Speaker 4: it was like to be around Iron Mike.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Hey, next time we're together, I want to, I've got
- 5:32Speaker 1: to go to one of these steak houses with you. Hey,
- 5:36Speaker 1: a final thing here, the final couple of minutes, your,
- 5:40Speaker 1: your takeaways from Kiffin's first year where we've got tons
- 5:44Speaker 1: of money being spent, plenty of expectations at LSU and,
- 5:49Speaker 1: Kiffin with the losses, Ole Miss and Kentucky. But what
- 5:53Speaker 1: Kentucky's done, are they the team like Oklahoma was a
- 5:58Speaker 1: year ago?
- 5:59Speaker 2: Will Stein is the hell of a coach. He's been great.
- 6:03Speaker 4: One of the reasons Oregon is struggling right now It's
- 6:06Speaker 4: because Will Stein's gone. Will Stein's not there running that
- 6:10Speaker 4: offense for a hell of a defensive coach in Dan Lanning.
- 6:14Speaker 4: He also lost his defensive coordinator, Tosh LaPoi, who's also
- 6:18Speaker 4: got a head coaching job at Cal. So it's hard
- 6:21Speaker 4: to absorb those kinds of losses to your staff in
- 6:24Speaker 4: a single year's time. That's been his problem. One of
- 6:27Speaker 4: the reasons Kurt Cignetti keeps on keeping on in Indiana
- 6:30Speaker 4: is that staff has never left.
- 6:32Speaker 2: They're still with him. Holding on to your staff is
- 6:34Speaker 2: very important.
- 6:35Speaker 4: But as for Kiffin, people jumping off bridges down in
- 6:40Speaker 4: South Louisiana all over again, and that's predictable too.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Lane, even for all of the.
- 6:48Speaker 4: You know, posh and circumstances that he brings because he's
- 6:52Speaker 4: a rock star.
- 6:54Speaker 3: No doubt.
- 6:54Speaker 4: He's still, he's still got a coach in a tough
- 6:56Speaker 4: league with great coaches on the opposite sidelines.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Yes.
- 7:00Speaker 2: That can out scheme you.
- 7:01Speaker 3: No one is safe. No one is safe.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Blake Baker's defense was taken to school on formation by
- 7:07Speaker 4: Will Stein. who has a quarterback that's smart enough and
- 7:11Speaker 4: has given the autonomy to check out of a play
- 7:15Speaker 4: and call his own number. That wasn't a quarterback draw.
- 7:18Speaker 4: That was a pass play that turned into a quarterback
- 7:22Speaker 4: draw in essence, but it was not.
- 7:24Speaker 2: A called quarterback draw.
- 7:25Speaker 4: But the quarterback has the right when he sends two
- 7:29Speaker 4: out to the left and two out to the right
- 7:31Speaker 4: to see the open Red Sea and take it. Lane
- 7:33Speaker 4: is not a genius. He's a great coach, but he's
- 7:37Speaker 4: not a genius. Hey, he's a savant.
- 7:40Speaker 2: He's this.
- 7:41Speaker 4: The stuff surrounding that narrative was always overblown, and I
- 7:46Speaker 4: think that LSU fans are now finding that out. But
- 7:50Speaker 4: the tough part for most fans in Louisiana is that
- 7:53Speaker 4: now they know, they know this, Jonathan, that the state
- 7:57Speaker 4: looks so foolish for having spent that kind of money
- 8:01Speaker 4: for these kinds of results.
- 8:03Speaker 2: And you know what? That's a worthwhile critique.
- 8:06Speaker 4: The state needs to take a look at itself in
- 8:08Speaker 4: the mirror when they made that decision. I could have
- 8:12Speaker 4: told them this. I could have told them. That isn't
- 8:14Speaker 4: to say Lane can't get it done. I think he will.
- 8:17Speaker 4: But to think he was going to get it done
- 8:18Speaker 4: like that?
- 8:19Speaker 3: No.
- 8:20Speaker 2: No, not going to happen.
- 8:21Speaker 3: Brian Kelly had a better record this time last year.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Sure did. He already had a signature win, too.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Can you see on your screen, can you see Chad
- 8:29Speaker 3: with the backdrop where he is?
- 8:30Speaker 2: You see him?
- 8:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Look at that.
- 8:33Speaker 1: Hey, they're going to love it, Chad, because check out
- 8:37Speaker 1: the late night delight. I know you know this, but
- 8:39Speaker 1: we've got the late night delight. The Nebraska and Oregon matchup.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Tim's on the call for this late night.
- 8:45Speaker 3: I love it.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Live on Fox.com. 10 o'clock, it's the perfect 10, just
- 8:49Speaker 1: like mortgage. You get the 10 o'clock start Central, 11 Eastern,
- 8:53Speaker 1: 1-8 Pacific.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:56Speaker 3: No rest for Timmy B.
- 8:58Speaker 4: No, take a little nap before the game, fellas. Take
- 9:00Speaker 4: a little nap so you can last through it there
- 9:02Speaker 4: in the Central time zone.
- 9:04Speaker 2: Okay.
- 9:05Speaker 1: Hey, man, thank you for doing this. Always great to
- 9:07Speaker 1: chat with you. You're the best, and let's catch up soon.
- 9:10Speaker 2: You got it. Thanks for calling in there, Chad, and
- 9:13Speaker 2: have a great vacation. Good to be with you, Jonathan.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 9:16Speaker 5: Yep.
- 9:17Speaker 3: There's Tim Brando, just simply one of the greats there.
- 9:20Speaker 3: I love having him on.
- 9:22Speaker 1: Coming up, we've got Elko, who kisses the ring of Tex-Ax.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Chad joins as well. Straight ahead, you're on Hutton & Withrow.
- 9:29Speaker 1: It is Hutton & Withrow, and a great setting down
- 9:33Speaker 1: in Florida for Withrow today, this morning. Fantastic, and always
- 9:38Speaker 1: great to have Chad on the show. I mean, like
- 9:43Speaker 1: you told Timmy B., the work never stops. That's right.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Crockett Coffee. fueling him this morning down in Florida.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Crockett Coffee started by Clay Travis, Buck Sexton, and Buck's
- 9:52Speaker 1: brother Mason, named after David Crockett. Hunter, storyteller, patriot, backwoods legend,
- 9:57Speaker 1: and the logo. He's standing on the backs of crocodiles.
- 9:59Speaker 1: That tells you everything you need to know. about Crockett Coffee. 100%
- 10:01Speaker 1: pure Arabica, high-altitude beans, small batch roasted right here in America.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Tennessee, heart of the country. Chips fresh roasted.
- 10:08Speaker 1: It's not sitting on a warehouse shelf for six months. light, medium, dark, decaf, organic,
- 10:14Speaker 1: even a mushroom blend. Whole bean, ground K-cups, however you
- 10:17Speaker 1: make it in the morning, and you can set up subscriptions.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Chad's got that rocked and rolling over at CrockettCoffee.com. That's CrockettCoffee, Crockett, C-R-O-C-K-E-T-T, coffee.com.
- 10:29Speaker 3: What up? This is fantastic. The lighting's perfect. Well done.
- 10:36Speaker 3: And we've got Crockett Coffee fueling the entire family down
- 10:38Speaker 3: here on this trip. I'm sipping it right now. It's delicious.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Got the Gulf of America feature prominently behind me right now.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Beautiful morning here, Hutton, to be joining you at the beach.
- 10:49Speaker 3: Love it here and having a great time. And Timmy
- 10:52Speaker 3: B crushed it. He did get a lot of talk
- 10:54Speaker 3: amongst our family in there, too, because he split Nebraska
- 10:58Speaker 3: and Tennessee right down the middle at number 15. So
- 11:01Speaker 3: that certainly sparked some conversation. But, yeah. Great day to
- 11:05Speaker 3: be here with you, Hutton, and excited about this next
- 11:08Speaker 3: hour of the show. A lot of college football stories
- 11:11Speaker 3: around the country to get to. Yes, yes.
- 11:13Speaker 1: We start with Elko, who did what everyone knew would
- 11:16Speaker 1: happen after the Billy Sesspool comments. First, postgame, here's Mike Elko,
- 11:23Speaker 1: Texas A & M, with comments about the fan base.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Who might be worried about the team right now?
- 11:34Speaker 7: Yeah, again, there's a difference to me between the fan
- 11:37Speaker 7: base and social media. And so there's one group that
- 11:41Speaker 7: I really don't care much about. You know, Billy Sesspool
- 11:43Speaker 7: can go be Billy Sesspool. Our fan base, stay with us,
- 11:48Speaker 7: be behind us. We're going to build something that we
- 11:51Speaker 7: told you we were going to build. We're in a
- 11:54Speaker 7: really bad spot right now, but we'll work our way
- 11:56Speaker 7: out of it.
- 11:57Speaker 3: Really bad spot's correct.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Really bad decision there because you're talking about a huge– Chuck,
- 12:04Speaker 1: of your fan base.
- 12:05Speaker 3: So what happens?
- 12:07Speaker 1: Billy Lucci, by the way, took the high road in
- 12:09Speaker 1: response to all of this with Tex-Ex. And Elko, he
- 12:15Speaker 1: had to do the same.
- 12:17Speaker 5: To address the post-game conversation again, you know, I think
- 12:24Speaker 5: in the heat of the moment, I think I answered
- 12:25Speaker 5: a question in a way that I certainly regret. I
- 12:28Speaker 5: think everybody knows I have a tremendous relationship with Billy.
- 12:32Speaker 5: I appreciate Billy. I appreciate him being here today. There's
- 12:35Speaker 5: nothing about Billy and I that have ever been off
- 12:38Speaker 5: since 2018. I think everybody knows I appreciate our fan
- 12:42Speaker 5: base and everything that they're about and everything that they
- 12:45Speaker 5: mean to Texas A & M. And outside of that,
- 12:49Speaker 5: I'll leave it alone. I regret the way it was taken.
- 12:52Speaker 5: I regret the way it came out. I regret the
- 12:55Speaker 5: way it ran. And so That certainly was never my intention.
- 12:58Speaker 5: And certainly throughout the course of that interview, at no
- 13:01Speaker 5: point ever did I lend any blame to anything other
- 13:05Speaker 5: than myself. I am the reason why this team is struggling.
- 13:08Speaker 5: I have owned that since this has started. I continue
- 13:10Speaker 5: to own that. It's my job to figure out how
- 13:12Speaker 5: to get it better.
- 13:14Speaker 3: So he kisses the ring there.
- 13:16Speaker 1: Chad, my thought initially was, oh man, this is going
- 13:19Speaker 1: to be really bad for Elko because We know Lucci
- 13:25Speaker 1: helped get him the job. He's talking to him behind
- 13:27Speaker 1: whatever they're doing. He came on our show, and Lucci did,
- 13:30Speaker 1: and talked about all the candidates and specifically mentioned him
- 13:33Speaker 1: as well. But the way that Lucci handled it, I think,
- 13:38Speaker 1: helps him here because the site's not just digging in,
- 13:42Speaker 1: going all in, based on the way Billy has responded
- 13:44Speaker 1: to it. Chad, I'm fascinated to see if this sticks around,
- 13:48Speaker 1: but it really just comes down to Does the 3-3
- 13:50Speaker 1: team continue to just be in the level with Auburn
- 13:54Speaker 1: and with South Carolina and Vanderbilt? If that continues, yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 1: A & M will pay to have a coach fail.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Well, Hutton, first off, Billy Lucci looks like a guy
- 14:04Speaker 3: who's been living on the streets ever since he made
- 14:06Speaker 3: those comments about Billy Lucci.
- 14:07Speaker 8: Sorry, Mike Yalco.
- 14:08Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Looks like a guy who's been living
- 14:10Speaker 3: on the streets ever since then. The unshaven look and
- 14:13Speaker 3: looks like a guy who's been homeless ever. Ever since
- 14:15Speaker 3: he made those, he wasn't allowed to go back to
- 14:18Speaker 3: College Station until he apologized. Look at that. This guy
- 14:23Speaker 3: looks like he was thrown out of his home for
- 14:25Speaker 3: making those comments. I use mafia analogies when I talk
- 14:29Speaker 3: about the SEC or the NFL. You don't speak against
- 14:32Speaker 3: the family. Billy Lucci knows that. He's been at this
- 14:35Speaker 3: game for a long time. He's smart about it. He
- 14:37Speaker 3: knows the lifeblood of his business is serving Texas A &
- 14:41Speaker 3: M fans. And those fans feel a part of his
- 14:44Speaker 3: community at Tex-Ags. And the one thing you're never going
- 14:46Speaker 3: to do is speak out against them. You're going to
- 14:48Speaker 3: go with the tide and the current of what the
- 14:50Speaker 3: fans feel. So when it gets so bad that you
- 14:53Speaker 3: pass the point of no return, then, yeah, you're going
- 14:55Speaker 3: to have to turn on Jimbo Fisher when it's clear
- 14:58Speaker 3: he's going to get fired anyways, right? But you're going
- 15:00Speaker 3: up to the limit of defending him, supporting him, doing
- 15:04Speaker 3: everything you can to see if he can figure it
- 15:06Speaker 3: out and get the job done. Mike Elko's nowhere near
- 15:08Speaker 3: that point. They reached with Jimbo Fisher, obviously, and he's
- 15:11Speaker 3: done a nice job. This year has not been great,
- 15:14Speaker 3: but he's done a nice job so far at Texas
- 15:16Speaker 3: A & M. But Billy knows you don't speak out
- 15:18Speaker 3: against it. I laughed at his.
- 15:19Speaker 1: Interview with Dave Portnoy yesterday where he's like, oh, he
- 15:22Speaker 1: didn't mean anything personal about me.
- 15:24Speaker 3: And Dave's like, he said Billy. It's pretty personal. He
- 15:27Speaker 3: talked about you and your cesspool. He did. Sounds like
- 15:30Speaker 3: he was actually trying to take a dig at you,
- 15:32Speaker 3: which he was. Elko's talking about, I hate how it
- 15:35Speaker 3: was perceived. And I hate, dude, you said it like
- 15:38Speaker 3: you did apologize for it. But of course that's going
- 15:41Speaker 3: to be the one clip that's going to be run
- 15:43Speaker 3: everywhere on every show. And everybody's going to be talking
- 15:46Speaker 3: about it. When you say something like that, especially because
- 15:48Speaker 3: Billy Lucci has got a lot of powerful friends and
- 15:51Speaker 3: he knows everybody in media and that's, they're going to
- 15:54Speaker 3: go and defend him first.
- 15:56Speaker 1: And, and you know, we know powerful friends and one
- 15:58Speaker 1: is Billy Lucci, right? Like, so I'm thinking, uh, This offseason,
- 16:04Speaker 1: Billy and Tex-Ax were setting the expectation. Yeah, playoff's cool.
- 16:10Speaker 1: But now it's about returning there. And then you start
- 16:12Speaker 1: to have a program that is in the upper echelon,
- 16:15Speaker 1: the upper stack of teams. It's about doing it again.
- 16:18Speaker 1: And you can tell, Elko knows, that's not happening. We
- 16:21Speaker 1: all can see it. They haven't met it. The quarterback,
- 16:24Speaker 1: everything has just gone awry. And so the stress level,
- 16:28Speaker 1: he's hearing it. Because there are three losses, one win
- 16:31Speaker 1: in the conference. and a team that it just looks
- 16:35Speaker 1: like they're just going through the motions, honestly. And so
- 16:40Speaker 1: the quarterback's not completing passes. It's just not good.
- 16:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's now, Hunt, about what level of disappointment will
- 16:47Speaker 3: it be for Texas A & M this year. Because
- 16:50Speaker 3: halfway through the year, I mean, what they have left
- 16:52Speaker 3: to play for is, hey, you fought hard in the
- 16:54Speaker 3: back half of the schedule, you won a big game
- 16:56Speaker 3: or two, and you didn't completely quit, and that's something
- 16:59Speaker 3: you can build on for next year. Because this season's
- 17:02Speaker 3: a wash. I mean, it's not going to be what
- 17:04Speaker 3: they expected. It's not going to be what everybody hoped for.
- 17:07Speaker 3: We already know that at this point. So it's about
- 17:09Speaker 3: saving yourself and salvaging things moving forward now if you're
- 17:13Speaker 3: Mike Elko. But again, I mean, Billy Lucci– And TaxActs.com.
- 17:18Speaker 3: It is a great front for all things Texas A & M.
- 17:22Speaker 3: They support the program. They raise NIL funds for you.
- 17:25Speaker 3: This is where your base goes. Everybody knows who Billy
- 17:28Speaker 3: Lucci is. We said it yesterday. I'll say it again.
- 17:31Speaker 3: It was such an unforced error. I credit Mike Yelko
- 17:33Speaker 3: for not having too much pride to come back looking
- 17:36Speaker 3: homeless and apologize to Billy Lucci. And say that he
- 17:40Speaker 3: was wrong and they have a great relationship and to
- 17:42Speaker 3: clarify those things.
- 17:43Speaker 5: Right.
- 17:43Speaker 3: And now you've got to move forward. But moving forward
- 17:45Speaker 3: for Texas A & M football right now is, hey,
- 17:47Speaker 3: go look like a competent offense. What in the world
- 17:49Speaker 3: happened to Marcel Reed? Right? Let's figure something out offensively
- 17:53Speaker 3: where they can get something going because it's not anywhere
- 17:56Speaker 3: near good enough right now for them. No.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Meanwhile, it's really good that Shane Beaver hasn't lost that
- 18:03Speaker 1: locker room in Columbia.
- 18:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:05Speaker 1: I don't know what happens at the end of the
- 18:06Speaker 1: year with him, how this goes. I don't think we've
- 18:08Speaker 1: talked about it. South Carolina doesn't want to fire him
- 18:10Speaker 1: because they don't have the money and the funds or whatever.
- 18:12Speaker 1: It's like a $ 28 million buyout. I didn't think South
- 18:16Speaker 1: Carolina was going on the road and winning in Gainesville
- 18:18Speaker 1: because of the way Florida played the week before.
- 18:21Speaker 3: But he still had the locker room. I didn't think
- 18:23Speaker 3: that was going to be the case. But it was.
- 18:25Speaker 1: You and I caught up with him down in Tampa
- 18:29Speaker 1: for the SEC media days. And we discussed the expectations.
- 18:33Speaker 3: But first.
- 18:34Speaker 1: We asked him about the team that came back with
- 18:36Speaker 1: him because he also came back to South Carolina when
- 18:40Speaker 1: he had other options.
- 18:43Speaker 6: I think it says a lot about Lenoris, but it
- 18:45Speaker 6: says a lot about our entire team and culture because
- 18:48Speaker 6: there's a lot of guys that you could say that
- 18:50Speaker 6: about on our team. Nick Carver, Dylan Stewart that easily
- 18:55Speaker 6: could have gone somewhere else to play because of the portal.
- 18:58Speaker 8: Left early for the NFL.
- 19:01Speaker 6: Could have said man I don't think we're going to
- 19:03Speaker 6: win I'm going to go somewhere else where I think
- 19:04Speaker 6: we can win they all came back because they believe
- 19:08Speaker 6: in what we're doing as a program and they believe
- 19:10Speaker 6: in what kind of team we can have in 2026
- 19:11Speaker 6: so I think that's a really powerful statement but Lenore
- 19:16Speaker 6: specifically I think it just goes to show that he
- 19:18Speaker 6: knows he can leave a legacy at South Carolina and
- 19:22Speaker 6: you know people talked about Lenore's leaving and I get
- 19:25Speaker 6: it it was a real possibility but I was never
- 19:27Speaker 6: worried I really wasn't.
- 19:31Speaker 2: Uh Yes, he was.
- 19:32Speaker 1: But South Carolina at the time was worried that Shane
- 19:35Speaker 1: Bieber was going to jump maybe to Virginia Tech, and
- 19:38Speaker 1: he stayed.
- 19:39Speaker 3: And what ended up happening?
- 19:43Speaker 1: He's got a team that's coming in with clear expectations
- 19:46Speaker 1: to climb the ladder. And, well, that comes with hot
- 19:50Speaker 1: seat because they were coming off a year that was
- 19:52Speaker 1: not good. Here's how he handled it going into the year,
- 19:55Speaker 1: and he was straightforward about it.
- 19:58Speaker 8: I think it's you worry about what you can control.
- 20:02Speaker 6: There's stress in this job, whether– I'm an assistant coach
- 20:05Speaker 6: or a head coach. You know you're judged on 12
- 20:09Speaker 6: Saturdays a year and winning football games.
- 20:12Speaker 8: So the stress becomes part of it.
- 20:13Speaker 6: I think a lot of stress is good if you
- 20:17Speaker 6: use it the right way in a positive way. But
- 20:20Speaker 6: for me, it's just making sure that I continue to
- 20:23Speaker 6: treat the people around me the right way, players, coaches, staff, family.
- 20:27Speaker 6: I worry about what I can control and not worrying
- 20:30Speaker 6: about anxiety of, oh.
- 20:31Speaker 8: My God, if we don't do this, this could happen
- 20:32Speaker 8: and all that.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Right.
- 20:34Speaker 6: You know, what do I got to do to make
- 20:35Speaker 6: our team better today? And they're all looking to me
- 20:38Speaker 6: to be that guy, and if I'm worried about the
- 20:39Speaker 6: wrong stuff, I'm not doing my job as a head coach.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Man, I'm thinking from a personal level. I don't have kids.
- 20:43Speaker 3: I'm not married. Yeah.
- 20:44Speaker 1: So the internal aspect of it, too, it seems like
- 20:46Speaker 1: your close family kind of deals with it the same way.
- 20:50Speaker 6: That part's hard because I can lose a game and
- 20:54Speaker 6: go back in the office on Sunday, and it's tunnel
- 20:58Speaker 6: vision on the next opponent.
- 20:59Speaker 8: You can dig in. I can dig in. I don't
- 21:01Speaker 8: have to get on my phone. I'm at the building.
- 21:03Speaker 6: The only time I'm not in the building is early
- 21:05Speaker 6: in the morning when I drive in and late at
- 21:06Speaker 6: night when I drive home. And literally the first time
- 21:09Speaker 6: I'm out in public is on the following Thursday when
- 21:12Speaker 6: I do a live radio show at a restaurant in Columbia.
- 21:14Speaker 6: Not that's not the case for my family.
- 21:17Speaker 8: My kids got to go back to school on Monday.
- 21:19Speaker 6: And my wife goes to, you know, whatever base camp
- 21:22Speaker 6: fitness center on Sunday and see people, you know, and
- 21:25Speaker 6: that's who I worry about because they didn't sign up
- 21:27Speaker 6: for this. But, you know, I try and just, you know,
- 21:29Speaker 6: work really hard and win football games so they can
- 21:31Speaker 6: be in good positions.
- 21:32Speaker 8: But they're awesome and very strong and understand that.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Chad, I bring up the Beamer dynamic here because he's
- 21:39Speaker 1: handled this the opposite of Elko in a way with
- 21:41Speaker 1: the stress. You know, Elko's talking about fan base and cesspool.
- 21:46Speaker 1: Beamer has been straightforward just like he was there at
- 21:49Speaker 1: the podium in the losses. And then he's not trying to,
- 21:54Speaker 1: you know, pull up the He's not pulling up the
- 21:58Speaker 1: Dabo line of see me after the next 11 games
- 22:00Speaker 1: either whenever they win in Florida.
- 22:02Speaker 3: I like it.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I like the fact that the team came back. I
- 22:05Speaker 1: like the fact that he came back. But is it
- 22:08Speaker 1: rewarded ultimately? Probably not. It's just how the game is.
- 22:12Speaker 1: That's how the business of football goes here. But I
- 22:15Speaker 1: wish we saw more of this than what we see
- 22:18Speaker 1: in reaction to stress whenever those coaches... also would get
- 22:21Speaker 1: after a player for not keeping their cool in the moment,
- 22:25Speaker 1: in a situation on the field.
- 22:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and shout out Base Camp Fitness in Columbia, South Carolina.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Also get a nice shout out from Shane Beamer, where
- 22:33Speaker 3: his wife goes to work out and you have to
- 22:35Speaker 3: be out in the public eye. Look, I think there are,
- 22:39Speaker 3: there's different levels to how you respond to adversity from
- 22:42Speaker 3: a sporting sense, right? I don't want to, lump this
- 22:45Speaker 3: in with all forms of adversity, which can be more
- 22:47Speaker 3: important than losing football games. But that is the most
- 22:51Speaker 3: important thing when you're one of those guys, right? In
- 22:56Speaker 3: the middle of the season, it feels like a terminal
- 22:58Speaker 3: illness when you lose a football game because it's your livelihood.
- 23:02Speaker 3: There's a lot of people who work for you within
- 23:03Speaker 3: that program. There's a lot of things going on. So
- 23:06Speaker 3: I don't want to over-inflate it. I also don't want
- 23:09Speaker 3: to devalue what a struggling college football season means to
- 23:13Speaker 3: some of these coaches. especially coming off another disappointing year,
- 23:16Speaker 3: the year before, for Shane Beamer. But I think Beamer
- 23:20Speaker 3: is just– he is the type of guy you want
- 23:24Speaker 3: in these situations to hold people together. Now, was last
- 23:28Speaker 3: year good enough? No. Could I make the argument that
- 23:31Speaker 3: Lenore Sellers made a mistake by staying at South Carolina
- 23:33Speaker 3: and not going somewhere else and spreading his wings? Maybe.
- 23:36Speaker 3: I applaud the kid. He's from the state, and he
- 23:39Speaker 3: stayed with his program, and not a lot of people
- 23:40Speaker 3: would do that. But look at his schedule. They're off
- 23:44Speaker 3: this week, and they get a week to prepare for
- 23:46Speaker 3: Tennessee at home. That's a good opportunity for South Carolina.
- 23:50Speaker 3: That's going to be a coin toss type game probably
- 23:53Speaker 3: by the time they kick it off. I could see
- 23:54Speaker 3: that being a pick-em or Tennessee a slight favorite or
- 23:57Speaker 3: South Carolina a slight favorite. They go to Oklahoma. They
- 23:59Speaker 3: get A & M at home. They've got at Arkansas,
- 24:02Speaker 3: and then they're likely going to get blown out by Georgia,
- 24:05Speaker 3: and they finish with Clemson. There are opportunities here for
- 24:09Speaker 3: him to dig himself out of this hole. Now, are
- 24:12Speaker 3: they going to have a great season based on what
- 24:14Speaker 3: the fan base wanted going into this year and what
- 24:16Speaker 3: we talked to Shea Beamer about down in Tampa? Absolutely not.
- 24:19Speaker 3: They're not going to reach those goals. But Tennessee at
- 24:22Speaker 3: home is a winnable game. At Oklahoma is a winnable
- 24:25Speaker 3: game for that team. A & M is a game
- 24:27Speaker 3: they should win at home. Arkansas is a game they
- 24:30Speaker 3: will win. They get up by 17 in the games
- 24:32Speaker 3: they lose. Yeah, I mean, we're looking at a 6-6
- 24:36Speaker 3: or 7-5, you know, probably type football team. Is that
- 24:40Speaker 3: good enough for him to keep his job? I think
- 24:41Speaker 3: it is. But I don't know. I think it turned
- 24:45Speaker 3: with that performance in the swamp to where I was.
- 24:47Speaker 3: He's completely out to, okay, now here's a route to
- 24:51Speaker 3: come back. And if they like the guy and they
- 24:53Speaker 3: don't want to pay him the buyout and all that,
- 24:54Speaker 3: they're going to let him circle the troops and go
- 24:57Speaker 3: at it again for another year. But we all know
- 24:59Speaker 3: that's just a tough spot to be in when all
- 25:02Speaker 3: of your guys that are NFL picks are leaving, and
- 25:04Speaker 3: now you're going to start over, and the expectation is, well,
- 25:06Speaker 3: you better be better than you were with Lenore Sellers
- 25:09Speaker 3: and Dylan Stewart and Nick Harbour and all those guys.
- 25:12Speaker 3: And that's a tough spot for Shane Beamer going into
- 25:14Speaker 3: next season. Yeah, it's not Arkansas, but it is a
- 25:17Speaker 3: situation where they can't afford your buyout. I say they're fine,
- 25:21Speaker 3: but if they can't pay $ 25, they're not going to
- 25:23Speaker 3: give you the NIL. It's a weird spot.
- 25:28Speaker 1: But that comes with the territory of where anyone can
- 25:31Speaker 1: be had right now in the SEC.
- 25:34Speaker 3: Well, Dylan Stewart, the way he handled that, too, let's
- 25:37Speaker 3: shine a light on that. Yeah, that's good. I mean,
- 25:38Speaker 3: that was so well handled. He was the first guy
- 25:40Speaker 3: off the bus when he was allowed to come back
- 25:42Speaker 3: and play against Florida. Like, I think Dylan Stewart looked
- 25:46Speaker 3: like a crazy person on the sideline in that game, right? Like,
- 25:50Speaker 3: he looked terrible, and they rightfully suspended him. But I
- 25:53Speaker 3: think behind the scenes, the way they've handled that, they
- 25:56Speaker 3: did it on their terms. He had to meet whatever
- 25:58Speaker 3: standard Shane Beamer set. He answered the question and said, hey,
- 26:01Speaker 3: who else is going to go on the decision?
- 26:04Speaker 4: Me.
- 26:04Speaker 5: Me.
- 26:04Speaker 3: That's who will make the decision on when he can
- 26:06Speaker 3: come back and play. And I think Dylan Stewart responded
- 26:08Speaker 3: the right way, and now he's back as a fully
- 26:11Speaker 3: functioning member of that team. I can't help but like
- 26:15Speaker 3: the South Carolina story, but Hutton, does it save him long-term?
- 26:19Speaker 3: I don't know. I also don't have a lot of
- 26:21Speaker 3: big expectations about that program moving forward in the future.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Yeah, I think it's a– It's a similar situation on
- 26:28Speaker 1: a different level to what we saw at A &
- 26:30Speaker 1: M last year, to what we're seeing this year. The
- 26:35Speaker 1: jump up could be higher at A & M because
- 26:37Speaker 1: they're going to spend a ton of money. But where's
- 26:39Speaker 1: Elko going to take it? There's pressure with that. There's
- 26:41Speaker 1: pressure with Beamer just to keep his gig, knowing that
- 26:45Speaker 1: he's got all these great players that are coming back,
- 26:48Speaker 1: and it's a great example. But it's not going to
- 26:51Speaker 1: be rewarded in the long term. That's unfortunate. I wish
- 26:54Speaker 1: it were. I wish it was. Coming up, let's talk
- 26:57Speaker 1: some names. Saban and Ditka. Because with Saban, Chad, I've
- 27:03Speaker 1: got an option, a suggestion for the Titans to clean
- 27:09Speaker 1: house and bring in a partner. Not hire, but partner.
- 27:16Speaker 1: And we talk about not just the coach, but the
- 27:19Speaker 1: cultural greats. Mike Ditka, straight ahead. Putney Withrow, I'm in Nashville.
- 27:27Speaker 1: Chad in Florida, presented by Hard Rock Bet. That's where,
- 27:31Speaker 1: of course, you can get Florida's only sportsbook app right
- 27:35Speaker 1: there with Hard Rock Bet. You can only get the
- 27:38Speaker 1: Nashville Balls gear with XXXY Athletics. Founded by Jennifer Say,
- 27:41Speaker 1: former national champion gymnast, former Levi's brand president. And she
- 27:46Speaker 1: walked away from the corporate job. rather than to say
- 27:49Speaker 1: something that she did not believe. And she started XXXY
- 27:52Speaker 1: Athletics instead. The mission in their words, empower female athletes
- 27:55Speaker 1: and take a stand for fair competition. They call it
- 27:58Speaker 1: the T that launched a movement. And Chad, it's real
- 28:01Speaker 1: athletic apparel. And it's where you can get the real
- 28:05Speaker 1: athletic apparel for the WNBA and X Dynasty franchise.
- 28:09Speaker 3: The Nashville balls, tees, trucker hats, all the gear you
- 28:12Speaker 3: can get with XXXY. New customers get 20% off your
- 28:15Speaker 3: first order. When you sign up and free shipping over
- 28:17Speaker 3: a hundred bucks, That's xxxyathletics.com. That's xx-xyathletics.com.
- 28:23Speaker 1: I want to get your response to my suggestion. Amy Adams-Trunk,
- 28:28Speaker 1: she has been very specific with her standard. On the
- 28:32Speaker 1: statements that she releases, it's about winning. It's about being
- 28:36Speaker 1: better than 7-5 in the month of December, for instance.
- 28:41Speaker 1: Callahan didn't last. Of course, we saw what happened with Vrabel.
- 28:44Speaker 1: He decided to leave. Whatever, they parted ways. Rand Carthon.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Two wins is not enough.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Three, whatever.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Year two, you better start winning. The stadium deal, I think,
- 28:52Speaker 1: factors in huge here. But they've got to get back
- 28:54Speaker 1: to football. To me, you do that by finding someone
- 28:58Speaker 1: who is great at being great. Nick Saban is a
- 29:03Speaker 1: minority owner of the Nashville Predators. The Titans can allow
- 29:08Speaker 1: a minority owner to buy in if she wants to
- 29:10Speaker 1: with 66%. And she remains the controlling owner. but someone
- 29:14Speaker 1: could literally run the football side and the entire building
- 29:18Speaker 1: about football. So different than what we're seeing with the
- 29:20Speaker 1: Vegas Raiders. And look at their start. What do you
- 29:23Speaker 1: think about that? And Peyton, just the idea of getting
- 29:27Speaker 1: someone that people trust to center the focus back in
- 29:31Speaker 1: the direction of the sport.
- 29:33Speaker 3: Instead of the event. Yeah, I mean, I think step
- 29:36Speaker 3: one is parting ways with Burke-Night Hill. Cleaning house. Which
- 29:39Speaker 3: is going to have to happen. I mean, if you're
- 29:41Speaker 3: looking at the next person on the chopping block, it's
- 29:43Speaker 3: got to be the person that's been in charge of
- 29:45Speaker 3: all of the disastrous moves and everything that's gone on
- 29:48Speaker 3: with this organization. And they're going to hype up the
- 29:51Speaker 3: stadium deal and the stadium being built and all that.
- 29:53Speaker 3: But that only takes you so far. I love it.
- 29:57Speaker 3: I wish they could sell 100 percent of the team
- 29:59Speaker 3: to Nick Saban or Peyton Manning, not just a minority stake.
- 30:02Speaker 3: I mean, I'm to the point now where I want
- 30:05Speaker 3: the other owners to blackball Amy Adam Strong and force
- 30:07Speaker 3: her to sell in some way the way they did
- 30:09Speaker 3: the Clippers owner back in the day, just so she's
- 30:13Speaker 3: no longer in that club of NFL owners. That's how
- 30:15Speaker 3: bad it's gotten with the Titans. And I know that's
- 30:18Speaker 3: not reality. And I know that Nick Saban or Peyton
- 30:20Speaker 3: Manning is not going to take 100 percent ownership of
- 30:22Speaker 3: the team. So, yeah, I think your solution is the
- 30:25Speaker 3: next bridge to get the Titans to be a serious
- 30:29Speaker 3: football organization is to get someone like that that can
- 30:33Speaker 3: get the public's trust, and not just the public's trust,
- 30:36Speaker 3: the city of Nashville, the state of Tennessee, middle of Tennessee,
- 30:39Speaker 3: to get fans back on board that you've got someone
- 30:42Speaker 3: who knows what they're doing and knows how to lead
- 30:43Speaker 3: and understands organizations and understands football. Anyone with that clout,
- 30:49Speaker 3: you know, I would take right now over the current
- 30:52Speaker 3: setup of what the Titans have going on. I mean,
- 30:54Speaker 3: they're being run from a football side by a guy
- 30:56Speaker 3: who's a lawyer, right? He's a legal counsel. The focus
- 31:01Speaker 3: has been about that building instead of building the roster.
- 31:06Speaker 3: They're going into a year where, again, I think the
- 31:09Speaker 3: focus should also be year two. She references year two
- 31:12Speaker 3: a lot in these statements.
- 31:14Speaker 1: In the era where she's releasing statements, they were coming
- 31:18Speaker 1: off of wins, right? So win the fan base back
- 31:20Speaker 1: by getting back to that standard where in year two,
- 31:24Speaker 1: opening the stadium, is she going to give Solace more
- 31:27Speaker 1: than six games?
- 31:28Speaker 3: Why?
- 31:29Speaker 1: If that's the ultimate result, who's making the hire? Borgonzi's
- 31:33Speaker 1: in year two right now. If the end result is
- 31:36Speaker 1: the standard, then they haven't met that. And if you
- 31:39Speaker 1: know that, then allow someone, a decision maker, to on
- 31:42Speaker 1: a path to football, win football games. And they're going
- 31:46Speaker 1: to win everything else under the roof. They already have.
- 31:49Speaker 3: They've got the building.
- 31:50Speaker 1: Win football games instead of acting like, you know, the
- 31:54Speaker 1: roster that they're rebuilding is those that poured the concrete.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I mean, that's kind of how it's been referenced.
- 32:01Speaker 3: So here would be my dream scenario, okay? Saban would
- 32:05Speaker 3: be awesome. I don't think– I always thought Peyton was
- 32:07Speaker 3: going to be the one to do this to follow
- 32:08Speaker 3: that John Elway– Dan Marino-type path of eventually you're going
- 32:12Speaker 3: to be running an organization. Like Brady.
- 32:15Speaker 1: I don't know if those guys were going to own,
- 32:18Speaker 1: but I'm talking ownership as well.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Yeah, and look, Peyton can do whatever he wants. He
- 32:23Speaker 3: can mess around on the Manning cast for as long
- 32:25Speaker 3: as he wants to. He can run Omaha Productions. He
- 32:27Speaker 3: can do a million commercials. He can go to Tennessee
- 32:30Speaker 3: games every other weekend. He can watch his kid play
- 32:33Speaker 3: high school football. He's doing all those things that he
- 32:35Speaker 3: wants to do in his life. Great for him. I
- 32:37Speaker 3: would love for him as a service to the state
- 32:39Speaker 3: in which he played college football to go run the
- 32:41Speaker 3: Tennessee Titans organization and run it in a competent manner
- 32:45Speaker 3: where people can trust it and it starts to produce
- 32:47Speaker 3: wins on the field. I'd love to see that for
- 32:49Speaker 3: Peyton Manning. But it's going to take a complete reset.
- 32:52Speaker 3: And I don't say this to shade Robert Sala or
- 32:57Speaker 3: anything else, but you've got to completely start over. I
- 33:00Speaker 3: don't care if you're one year into this. I mean,
- 33:02Speaker 3: they're headed for 0-17. And if they get anywhere close
- 33:06Speaker 3: to that, this is a one-and-done scenario.
- 33:08Speaker 8: Absolutely.
- 33:09Speaker 3: If you're going to be serious about, guys, we're going
- 33:11Speaker 3: to open a new stadium. We are going to get
- 33:14Speaker 3: this thing. There is no more, oh, we're going to
- 33:16Speaker 3: reset for a year or two. It is positive momentum
- 33:19Speaker 3: from here on out. It has to be. With whatever
- 33:21Speaker 3: we do as an organization, whether that be bring in
- 33:23Speaker 3: a veteran quarterback, draft another one, moving away from Cam Ward, obviously,
- 33:28Speaker 3: in this scenario, too. all the different things that they're
- 33:30Speaker 3: going to have to do. To be serious about that,
- 33:32Speaker 3: go bring in Peyton. Hutton, if they brought in Peyton
- 33:35Speaker 3: Manning and Peyton Manning fired all the coaches and hired
- 33:38Speaker 3: Will Stein from Kentucky, I'd be in heaven. Anything outside
- 33:42Speaker 3: the box. What if they hire Mike Tomlin? Absolutely.
- 33:48Speaker 8: Sign me up.
- 33:48Speaker 1: You could totally restructure your football organization back to being
- 33:53Speaker 1: a football organization.
- 33:55Speaker 3: Bring in some outfits is what I'm saying. Mike Tomlin
- 33:58Speaker 3: would be a great partner. Amy Adams-Strunk is one. Yeah,
- 34:00Speaker 3: and Mike Tomlin also has, in the Peyton Manning role,
- 34:03Speaker 3: or the Nick Saban role even, running the organization, not
- 34:05Speaker 3: just coaching.
- 34:06Speaker 5: Right.
- 34:06Speaker 3: If he didn't want to coach. I mean, yes, all
- 34:09Speaker 3: of these things need to happen. Now, you're dealing with
- 34:13Speaker 3: a lot of strong-willed, stubborn, rich people. Yeah, no doubt.
- 34:16Speaker 3: In this, too. And this is going to take Amy
- 34:19Speaker 3: Adams-Strunk firing the person who has been employed to take
- 34:24Speaker 3: shrapnel on her behalf. to do whatever she says, to
- 34:28Speaker 3: do her bidding, to be her eyes and ears. And
- 34:31Speaker 3: they have had to go through this self-imposed, by the way,
- 34:34Speaker 3: I'm not giving them excuses or anything else. It's a
- 34:37Speaker 3: disaster of their own making. But they've had to go
- 34:40Speaker 3: through this together. And now you're going to have to
- 34:42Speaker 3: turn that person and say, hey, we need a head here.
- 34:47Speaker 3: And it's going to be yours this time on the
- 34:49Speaker 3: chopping block because it's so bad. That's not an easy
- 34:52Speaker 3: situation for anyone, but it's what's got to happen. if
- 34:55Speaker 3: the fan base is going to trust this team at all.
- 34:58Speaker 3: And look, that Titans group there right now, I don't
- 35:01Speaker 3: know how much they really care, quite frankly, until they
- 35:03Speaker 3: start to show it. There's no doubt. She does care.
- 35:07Speaker 1: I mean, again, she couldn't have been faking it whenever
- 35:10Speaker 1: she's releasing these statements.
- 35:13Speaker 3: She fires people for failing fast.
- 35:17Speaker 1: This has been an insulated deal, and now she certainly
- 35:22Speaker 1: doesn't like– people not liking her or being embarrassed.
- 35:25Speaker 3: That's why she has this set up the way she
- 35:27Speaker 3: has it right now. This is an embarrassment.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Her name is now being mentioned again. No longer is
- 35:35Speaker 1: it about Callahan or Vrabel. It's about ownership, the real owner. Well,
- 35:40Speaker 1: let me clarify what I'm saying. He's the voice, but
- 35:42Speaker 1: he's not the owner.
- 35:43Speaker 3: There's one owner. She cares about winning and losing. She
- 35:47Speaker 3: wants to win. I'm not saying that she just is
- 35:49Speaker 3: okay with losing every single year and doing nothing but
- 35:52Speaker 3: losing and getting destroyed by the Texans. I'm saying I
- 35:55Speaker 3: don't know that she cares that the public has lost
- 35:58Speaker 3: faith in her and Burke Nihill. I don't know what
- 36:01Speaker 3: their level of care about nobody showing up to the
- 36:02Speaker 3: stadium or everybody in the city throwing their hands up
- 36:07Speaker 3: and saying, why would we support this? I don't know
- 36:10Speaker 3: how much she cares about that because they've got a
- 36:12Speaker 3: sweetheart deal to build a stadium that's going to print
- 36:14Speaker 3: money for them. They don't have to have a single
- 36:16Speaker 3: person in the seats. to make money. They're going to
- 36:19Speaker 3: make more money when it's a sellout and they're going
- 36:21Speaker 3: to make a lot more money doing that. But the
- 36:22Speaker 3: NFL is set up where they're going to make money
- 36:25Speaker 3: regardless of what they do to appease the market. And
- 36:28Speaker 3: I don't think you make decisions based solely on the
- 36:30Speaker 3: fan base being upset, but the fan base is right
- 36:33Speaker 3: in this instance. And if you lose the faith and
- 36:36Speaker 3: the goodwill of people that have supported that team for
- 36:38Speaker 3: years and years, you've lost a lot. And I don't
- 36:41Speaker 3: know how much they care about that. What they do
- 36:43Speaker 3: care about is their last name.
- 36:45Speaker 1: And the legacy of Bud Adams, the jerseys, going back
- 36:49Speaker 1: to the Oilers, the whole idea about setting up the,
- 36:53Speaker 1: I mean, he would be thrilled with this deal about
- 36:55Speaker 1: the stadium, just like Bredesen gave him the sweetheart deal
- 36:57Speaker 1: with the land and the current stadium, and doing it
- 37:00Speaker 1: after nearly just 30 years, roughly. The best way to
- 37:04Speaker 1: honor Bud Adams would be to bring a title, a
- 37:06Speaker 1: Lombardi trophy, underneath the roof, instead of having takeovers by
- 37:11Speaker 1: other fan bases, and not having nationally televised games. I mean,
- 37:15Speaker 1: they're going to open a stadium where– I mean, what
- 37:17Speaker 1: network wants them playing for a quarterback who can't pass
- 37:20Speaker 1: for 47 yards or whatever it is in the first half?
- 37:23Speaker 1: And you've got an offense that can't get a first down,
- 37:26Speaker 1: barely move the football. An offense that even Robert Sala
- 37:30Speaker 1: can't sit and point to when he's asked, what is
- 37:32Speaker 1: good about the– what do you like? He couldn't answer
- 37:35Speaker 1: it because he's being truthful. That's the way to– it
- 37:41Speaker 1: would be an embarrassment on the franchise and it's her
- 37:43Speaker 1: father's franchise. I think that does matter. And she's a
- 37:47Speaker 1: lot like him. She's, I mean, she's firing and she
- 37:51Speaker 1: loves firing. And up next is the guy has.
- 37:55Speaker 3: The voice, not the owner. She loves to fire people. Yeah,
- 37:59Speaker 3: I think so.
- 38:00Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I don't know who's going to
- 38:02Speaker 1: hand the phone to Burke, but it'll be somebody. Chad,
- 38:07Speaker 1: I want to talk to Ditka because you, You know,
- 38:10Speaker 1: you know, the SNL and everything that he was about
- 38:13Speaker 1: with his cultural.
- 38:15Speaker 3: Real quick before we get into that. Yeah, go ahead.
- 38:17Speaker 3: I was looking for this, this post, which is really good.
- 38:20Speaker 3: This is from a Michigan, it's Michigan podcast on Twitter. Okay.
- 38:24Speaker 3: And I'm going to relate this, the college stories related
- 38:27Speaker 3: to the Titans here. The Michigan podcast says LSU paid
- 38:31Speaker 3: over a hundred million dollars to get rid of Brian
- 38:33Speaker 3: Kelly to hire Lane Kiffin and assemble their roster only
- 38:36Speaker 3: to have a worse record now than it did last
- 38:38Speaker 3: year through six games. Penn State spent $ 50 million to
- 38:42Speaker 3: buy out James Franklin last season for losing to Northwestern
- 38:45Speaker 3: and starting 3-3, only to hire a coach who lost
- 38:48Speaker 3: even worse to Northwestern and they're starting the season 3-3.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Michigan has committed $ 43 million to Kyle Whittingham and Jason
- 38:56Speaker 3: Beck and $ 40 million to this year's roster, only to
- 39:00Speaker 3: have the exact same record it had last year, this time,
- 39:03Speaker 3: with Sharon Moore and an even worse offense. And the
- 39:06Speaker 3: moral of the story is, you know, be careful what
- 39:08Speaker 3: you wish for The grass isn't always greener. And I
- 39:11Speaker 3: know this is early snapshots of all these stories. So,
- 39:15Speaker 3: you know, that could be used as a cautionary tale
- 39:17Speaker 3: about the Titan situation, everything else. I'll say, though, with
- 39:20Speaker 3: the Titans and anybody who says, be careful what you
- 39:22Speaker 3: wish for, could be.
- 39:23Speaker 2: Worse, it couldn't.
- 39:25Speaker 3: It can't be worse than right now. There's no scenario
- 39:30Speaker 3: at 0-5 with one of the worst offenses in the
- 39:33Speaker 3: history of the NFL and a quarterback that's young and
- 39:36Speaker 3: a number one overall pick going nowhere. There's no situation
- 39:39Speaker 3: where it's worse. I truly believe that. You can't do
- 39:43Speaker 3: worse than Amy Adam Strunk and Burke Nihill are doing
- 39:46Speaker 3: right now. in that team, in that organization with this city.
- 39:50Speaker 3: So there are instances where, yeah, James Franklin probably got
- 39:54Speaker 3: a little trigger happy with him a year ago because
- 39:57Speaker 3: their expectations. And you could argue that maybe they should
- 39:59Speaker 3: have stuck with it and not paid the guy $ 50
- 40:01Speaker 3: million to not coach at that point. There are other
- 40:04Speaker 3: instances like that. Anything that you want done with this
- 40:08Speaker 3: organization in terms of new ownership or partial ownership that
- 40:11Speaker 3: you proposed out in with Saban or Anybody who comes
- 40:14Speaker 3: back and says, well, be careful what you wish for,
- 40:16Speaker 3: I truly believe it could not be worse. So try
- 40:19Speaker 3: anything different than what you're doing right now. Well, exactly.
- 40:23Speaker 3: So I love it because think about this.
- 40:25Speaker 1: The decision makers just hired a coach who's currently 20
- 40:30Speaker 1: and 41 as a head coach. The offensive coordinator, I
- 40:33Speaker 1: don't know exactly the deals of his contract, but they
- 40:36Speaker 1: certainly had to meet certain things in negotiation power that
- 40:40Speaker 1: Dable had because he could have gone other places. He
- 40:42Speaker 1: was sought after. I think it was a great hire
- 40:46Speaker 1: at the time. It's not working with this quarterback. And
- 40:48Speaker 1: the quarterback can't be benched. I don't know if Salah
- 40:54Speaker 1: could even try to... Again, I don't think the backup
- 40:58Speaker 1: quarterbacks would be great. I think it would be good.
- 41:00Speaker 3: I think he'll get first downs. That'll be better.
- 41:03Speaker 1: That'll be more entertaining than having to talk about the
- 41:05Speaker 1: death march over the next three months where, again, before Halloween,
- 41:09Speaker 1: here we are once again.
- 41:10Speaker 3: They beat the New York Giants, and I think they
- 41:12Speaker 3: beat the Philadelphia Eagles with Mitch Trubisky at quarterback. I
- 41:16Speaker 3: feel confident saying that. Mitch Trubisky would have beaten Jameis
- 41:19Speaker 3: Winston in that game where it's in the teens, and
- 41:23Speaker 3: all you have to do is not throw the ball
- 41:24Speaker 3: right to a safety– on the final drive. I think
- 41:27Speaker 3: they win that game, and I think the ability to
- 41:29Speaker 3: actually call a pass play inside the red zone, which
- 41:32Speaker 3: they were unwilling to do with Cam Ward against the Eagles,
- 41:35Speaker 3: probably wins you that game too. So all the Cam
- 41:38Speaker 3: Ward defenders have gone silent on my timeline and everyone else's.
- 41:41Speaker 3: And I'm not saying that Mitch Trubisky's a great quarterback
- 41:43Speaker 3: or anything else. And I'm not saying it's all Cam's fault.
- 41:46Speaker 3: But Cam is a huge part of the problem, and
- 41:49Speaker 3: he's not good enough just like most of that team's
- 41:51Speaker 3: not good enough. Shannon Sharp called him the worst quarterback
- 41:53Speaker 3: in the league. Okay, I like that. There we are.
- 41:56Speaker 1: It's not just the local media, the hostile local media
- 42:02Speaker 1: there as well.
- 42:03Speaker 3: Hey, how about this?
- 42:04Speaker 1: The 0-17 teams, the Browns and the Lions, at this
- 42:07Speaker 1: point in their seasons, their offense was better than this offense.
- 42:11Speaker 1: This is as low as it gets for a team
- 42:13Speaker 1: that could be on track for 0-17.
- 42:14Speaker 3: It can't happen. It can't happen. It also can't get worse.
- 42:19Speaker 3: People are like, are the Titans the Browns now? The
- 42:22Speaker 3: Titans are worse than the Browns, guys. They're worse than
- 42:24Speaker 3: the Jets. Right now. Yes. They are one of the
- 42:29Speaker 3: punchline franchises, not just in the NFL, in all of
- 42:33Speaker 3: pro sports right now. That's how bad the current state
- 42:36Speaker 3: is really since 2020. And that season, it's gotten progressively
- 42:40Speaker 3: worse year after year. Yep.
- 42:42Speaker 1: And you know the coach who's trying to keep his
- 42:43Speaker 1: job and refocus his head coaching legacy wants to do
- 42:47Speaker 1: something to shake things up. You try something. And he's
- 42:52Speaker 1: already been declared the quarterback for the rest of the season.
- 42:55Speaker 1: I don't know if something will happen because they've got
- 42:59Speaker 1: to change the game.
- 42:59Speaker 3: Wipe it out. Clean house.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Or clean out the garage. How about that? Chad, hard
- 43:04Speaker 1: rock bet coming up. And we take a look at
- 43:07Speaker 1: the SEC. Storylines of the SEC with some quarterbacks who
- 43:11Speaker 1: may be playing, may not be playing. And some matchups,
- 43:15Speaker 1: including ours, that include some top-notch players who are also
- 43:19Speaker 1: ruled out.
- 43:19Speaker 3: Straight ahead here on Hutton and Withrow.
- 43:22Speaker 5: The fantastic offer, $ 5, get up to $ 500 in no
- 43:24Speaker 5: sweat bets right now by using the.
- 43:26Speaker 2: Link that you see right there, the URL on the screen, hardrock.bet.com.
- 43:49Speaker 3: Slash Clay.
- 43:50Speaker 1: It's time for the SEC power lineup as we look
- 43:52Speaker 1: around at the spreads, the opening lines across the Southeastern Conference.
- 43:58Speaker 3: We see the over-unders.
- 43:59Speaker 1: You see the lines in purple there for Hard Rock Bet. Chad,
- 44:05Speaker 1: we've got some great ones. And even the teams that
- 44:07Speaker 1: are coming off losses, the storylines are really, really fascinating
- 44:12Speaker 1: this week, including this week, Alabama and Tennessee.
- 44:17Speaker 3: Yeah, and that Alabama-Tennessee line keeps going up and up.
- 44:20Speaker 3: I know. In favor of Alabama. I think it's going
- 44:22Speaker 3: to be double digits, possibly, by the time the game
- 44:25Speaker 3: kicks off on Saturday. Auburn and Georgia, that's a big line.
- 44:30Speaker 2: It is.
- 44:31Speaker 3: Georgia coming off that big win. I'm tempted to take
- 44:34Speaker 3: the Tigers to cover, and they're going to lose. But
- 44:37Speaker 3: I don't know that they get blown out by Georgia
- 44:39Speaker 3: in that game. Missouri-Old Miss, fascinating to me. Vandy, only
- 44:43Speaker 3: a six-and-a-half point favorite at home. against Arkansas. Kind of
- 44:46Speaker 3: tells you a lot about where both those programs are
- 44:48Speaker 3: right now. And then Kentucky going on the road to Oklahoma. Look,
- 44:53Speaker 3: I think Kentucky's a better football team than Oklahoma is
- 44:55Speaker 3: right now. Even though Oklahoma just beat Texas, but Kentucky
- 44:57Speaker 3: coming off that big win, are they going to be
- 44:59Speaker 3: the next team that rides the emotional high of the
- 45:01Speaker 3: big win to a big loss the following week? It's
- 45:05Speaker 3: a good week across the league. Absolutely. You've got LSU
- 45:07Speaker 3: coming off a loss.
- 45:08Speaker 1: And Missouri-Ole Miss, let's target that because Ole Miss, five
- 45:14Speaker 1: and a half, I would have thought maybe three and
- 45:16Speaker 1: a half. You mentioned you're not going to sleep on
- 45:19Speaker 1: Missouri anymore. I tend to agree. I feel like Vegas
- 45:24Speaker 1: doesn't really believe in them that much right now based
- 45:27Speaker 1: on Ole Miss. And again, I think Missouri is proving
- 45:30Speaker 1: everybody wrong.
- 45:32Speaker 3: I love Mississippi State. I love Kamario Taylor. But when
- 45:35Speaker 3: you mix in that Kamario Taylor may not be playing
- 45:37Speaker 3: on Saturday, there's questions about him even playing. I'm going
- 45:41Speaker 3: to pounce on that number for LSU right now. before
- 45:44Speaker 3: it goes up when he's officially not playing. I think
- 45:47Speaker 3: LSU is going to go back to Baton Rouge and
- 45:51Speaker 3: beat Mississippi State soundly in that game.
- 45:54Speaker 1: Hey, what happens when the line continues to go up
- 45:58Speaker 1: for Alabama even without their star receiver?
- 46:00Speaker 3: That's also a point of emphasis here. Yeah. Look, and
- 46:06Speaker 3: I don't know. This is kind of, you know, people,
- 46:08Speaker 3: what does Vegas know about it? But I just think
- 46:11Speaker 3: Alabama's offense has been light years better than Tennessee's. I
- 46:14Speaker 3: did see a stat today, though, that Alabama's only allowed
- 46:18Speaker 3: one less sack than Tennessee, which would surprise some people
- 46:21Speaker 3: with all the issues. Face-to-face, I got sacked, what, 11
- 46:24Speaker 3: times or 10 times in one game against Texas? It's
- 46:28Speaker 3: only one behind. And Tennessee leads the nation in sacking
- 46:31Speaker 3: the opponent by two. They've got 25 sacks. LSU's second
- 46:34Speaker 3: at 23 sacks on the season. So, I mean, something
- 46:38Speaker 3: to watch. Can Tennessee get to Keelan Russell and affect
- 46:41Speaker 3: the game that way? Because Alabama's had a hard time
- 46:44Speaker 3: keeping him upright this season as well.
- 46:46Speaker 5: Right.
- 46:47Speaker 3: Colin Williams ruled out there.
- 46:48Speaker 1: So, you know, a good player not playing, but Alabama's
- 46:53Speaker 1: got the better players right now just based on how
- 46:55Speaker 1: the team overall is performing.
- 46:57Speaker 3: I don't think it's that different, like, talent-wise, man-for-man. I
- 47:02Speaker 3: think Alabama and Tennessee are very similar. I just think
- 47:04Speaker 3: their offense– Tennessee just doesn't have a passing game right now.
- 47:08Speaker 3: They don't have a coherent offense where you can feel
- 47:10Speaker 3: good about one thing's going to open up the other
- 47:12Speaker 3: in the game. It's just so lopsided run game right now,
- 47:17Speaker 3: if they're going to be successful, that they've got to
- 47:19Speaker 3: find a way to open up the passing game. I'm
- 47:22Speaker 3: watching the All-22 and still shots of what Arkansas was
- 47:26Speaker 3: doing to Tennessee in that game, and it was just,
- 47:28Speaker 3: let's put seven, eight guys in the box, man-to-man on
- 47:31Speaker 3: the two receivers on the outside, and they had one
- 47:33Speaker 3: safety 40 yards off the line of scrimmage. That's how
- 47:36Speaker 3: they picked off that one George McIntyre. If Tennessee's not
- 47:38Speaker 3: going to come up with something to throw slants and
- 47:41Speaker 3: get the ball over the middle of the field with
- 47:42Speaker 3: all that open room, with everyone crowding the line of scrimmage,
- 47:45Speaker 3: then they're not going to move the ball. Hey, agreed.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Very conservative on the road. Will they open things up
- 47:51Speaker 1: at home? The game plan cannot be the same. They're
- 47:54Speaker 1: going to have to strike some big plays. And another point,
- 47:57Speaker 1: they have to keep their cool and be disciplined.
- 48:01Speaker 3: I brought this up with Timmy B.
- 48:03Speaker 1: You see the difference between Georgia and Bama on the
- 48:06Speaker 1: field in this game because one player loses his cool
- 48:09Speaker 1: and costs Alabama the game. But, well, it costs them
- 48:14Speaker 1: a possession to go win the game. Chad, Tennessee can't
- 48:17Speaker 1: have those here, the personal fouls and stuff. And I'm
- 48:19Speaker 1: not saying they would, but Alabama will give you one.
- 48:23Speaker 1: And if you get it at the right time, it's
- 48:25Speaker 1: huge in the game. And I think in the game
- 48:27Speaker 1: we went to in 2022, they had a couple. Yeah, no,
- 48:31Speaker 1: it's certainly going to be a factor. And penalties are
- 48:33Speaker 1: always a factor with Josh Heupel teams, too. They typically
- 48:36Speaker 1: commit a lot, but.
- 48:37Speaker 3: It's a lot of procedural stuff and things like that
- 48:39Speaker 3: not getting set properly. Yeah, you're right. You usually see that,
- 48:42Speaker 3: so that's a big point. By the way, I'm at
- 48:43Speaker 3: hard rock right now. LSU up to 14.5 point favorite
- 48:47Speaker 3: over Mississippi State, and I think that's surrounding the news
- 48:50Speaker 3: of Kamario Taylor. That's the current line right now is
- 48:52Speaker 3: LSU is a 14.5 point favorite over Mississippi State on Saturday. Yeah, the–
- 49:00Speaker 3: I think they respond a lot better than what we
- 49:02Speaker 3: saw this past week. Another line of interest, Hutton. You're MTSU,
- 49:08Speaker 3: Blue Raiders. They're a one-and-a-half-point underdog at home to Delaware.
- 49:14Speaker 3: Take Delaware. The Blue Hens. Reminds me of the Wayne's
- 49:19Speaker 3: World pitch. where they've got the green screen behind them,
- 49:22Speaker 3: and it's Delaware. It's, hi, I'm in Delaware. That's all
- 49:25Speaker 3: they need to say about the state. And now Delaware
- 49:27Speaker 3: is coming to Murfreesboro as a road favorite. How about that?
- 49:32Speaker 3: I'm going to take the Hens. Take the Hens. I
- 49:36Speaker 3: hate saying that. Take the fighting Joe Flacos.
- 49:38Speaker 1: I have zero– I told a host of a program
- 49:42Speaker 1: I joined to talk about the Titans on a radio
- 49:45Speaker 1: show about this, Greg Poe and McFarlane. I haven't talked
- 49:50Speaker 1: about or been asked about MTSU in like three years.
- 49:54Speaker 1: You know, like I'm expecting them to lose. And the
- 49:58Speaker 1: fact that, you know, they're going to play in the
- 50:00Speaker 1: middle of the week or whatever they're playing.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Disaster. Disaster. How is there not another James Madison? There's
- 50:08Speaker 3: no rival to James Madison who found a way to
- 50:11Speaker 3: raise money, to have an infrastructure in place, to blow
- 50:14Speaker 3: everybody else out of the water at that level in
- 50:17Speaker 3: terms of what they invest in their roster and in
- 50:19Speaker 3: facilities and everything else. And I know it's got a
- 50:22Speaker 3: good alumni base and all of that, but I just
- 50:26Speaker 3: wish there was more of that. I want to be
- 50:28Speaker 3: interested in that group of teams a little bit more
- 50:30Speaker 3: than I am, and I wish somebody else could rise
- 50:33Speaker 3: with that.
- 50:33Speaker 1: Locally, they should recruit locally. Get the non-Power 5 or
- 50:40Speaker 1: whatever recruits. Those guys are still pretty good and can
- 50:42Speaker 1: compete with the other non-Power 5 players across that conference.
- 50:46Speaker 3: Chad, as we wrap up, RIP to RJ Mitty.
- 50:51Speaker 1: We bring this up because you and I are massive,
- 50:54Speaker 1: as others are, massive fans of Breaking Bad.
- 50:56Speaker 3: I will always, I'll go binge that show right now again.
- 51:00Speaker 1: My favorite. And he's one of the memorable characters and
- 51:05Speaker 1: fit it perfectly for what was needed for the Walter
- 51:08Speaker 1: White role.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and an actor who opened up a lot of
- 51:12Speaker 3: doors for people actually with disabilities and issues with cerebral
- 51:16Speaker 3: palsy as an actor in that role. Yeah, R.I.P.
- 51:20Speaker 2: For sure.
- 51:20Speaker 3: 34 years old, dies of suicide. I saw the tribute
- 51:24Speaker 3: from Bryan Cranston where he said, we were texting last
- 51:27Speaker 3: week about finding a time to grab lunch together. You know,
- 51:30Speaker 3: when they were in the same town in L.A. or
- 51:32Speaker 3: wherever they were. And he said, you know, I don't
- 51:35Speaker 3: I don't know if that would have kept him alive,
- 51:38Speaker 3: you know, and whatever's going on. But I sure wish
- 51:41Speaker 3: we would have had time to grab lunch. I could
- 51:43Speaker 3: have talked to him in that moment. So very, very sad.
- 51:46Speaker 3: And I'll say this Breaking Bad, obviously one of our
- 51:49Speaker 3: all time favorites. El Camino, the follow up movie I loved. Also,
- 51:53Speaker 3: it popped up on my Netflix algorithm yesterday, probably with
- 51:56Speaker 3: the news. of this passing to go back and watch
- 51:59Speaker 3: that movie that I loved that followed up from Breaking Bad.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Better Call Saul, and I don't know if you ever
- 52:05Speaker 3: watched it, but by the end of it was almost
- 52:08Speaker 3: as good as Breaking Bad. I mean, it was right there.
- 52:11Speaker 3: That's how good those two shows. For a spinoff to
- 52:14Speaker 3: be that good is pretty incredible work by Vince Gilligan
- 52:18Speaker 3: and everybody associated with that show that created it originally.
- 52:21Speaker 3: We had a podcast about it, Breaking Down, Breaking Bad. Yep,
- 52:25Speaker 3: we do.
- 52:26Speaker 1: We should do that with a show that is coming
- 52:28Speaker 1: out or something or a series or something.
- 52:29Speaker 3: We re-watched The Wire. Remember that during COVID? Yeah. Because
- 52:32Speaker 3: we just had all this time on our hands and
- 52:33Speaker 3: we'd never seen it and everybody talked about it.
- 52:35Speaker 1: So we broke down season by season of The Wire.
- 52:38Speaker 1: We should find that. We could do it with the
- 52:40Speaker 1: whole crew. That would work out. So we've got plenty
- 52:47Speaker 1: to discuss as the week rolls on. The matchups in
- 52:49Speaker 1: college football. NFL, we just see the Bills win. Some
- 52:53Speaker 1: really major gaffes as well with coaching decisions. Massive implications
- 52:58Speaker 1: with those, including in the NFL and college football. We'll
- 53:01Speaker 1: get to that as well. Chad, thank you, man. Great
- 53:04Speaker 1: backdrop today. Enjoy the weather.
- 53:06Speaker 3: Enjoy the time with family and the company and go
- 53:10Speaker 3: hit the beach. Beautiful. I'm about to go for my
- 53:12Speaker 3: nice beach walk right now to start the day, Hutton.
- 53:15Speaker 3: And I hope everybody out there has a great day
- 53:16Speaker 3: also and that your backdrop is as lovely as mine.
- 53:19Speaker 3: Sprint into the waves the way I've seen you do
- 53:21Speaker 3: it before.
- 53:22Speaker 1: Just take off. Just straight into it. Straight into it.
- 53:25Speaker 1: He's Chad Withrow. I'm Jonathan Hutton. Thanks for joining us
- 53:28Speaker 1: for the next round. Straight ahead right here on the
- 53:31Speaker 1: Sport and Stake Network. Presented by Hard Rock Back.
