- 0:23Ron Meyers: Hello, my friends.
- 0:24Ron Meyers: It is so good to be with you today.
- 0:26Ron Meyers: Have you had your conversations with Jesus over the past few days?
- 0:29Ron Meyers: You know that time where you just open up your heart, your concerns, your worries, your fears.
- 0:34Ron Meyers: Maybe you share your successes, praying for someone.
- 0:37Ron Meyers: Maybe you'd say, Well, Ron, I don't even know Jesus, or we're not that close because I'm just a goofball.
- 0:43Ron Meyers: Well, all of us are goofballs.
- 0:45Ron Meyers: There's no person out there that isn't a goofball that doesn't struggle, but it is those healthy conversations with Jesus.
- 0:52Ron Meyers: I mean opening up your heart that are liberating.
- 0:55Ron Meyers: Now, if you're new to the show, my name is Ron Myers.
- 0:58Ron Meyers: The show is called Get the Hell Out of Your Life, where it's about a few minutes of coming together each week in a show with guests, with commentary to empower you, to encourage you, and then let you know that no matter what you're going through in life, there is a reason for it and there is a good plan.
- 1:16Ron Meyers: Today I want to talk about dreaming big.
- 1:19Ron Meyers: How many dreams have you put on hold?
- 1:22Ron Meyers: How many God-given dreams do you think are absolutely impossible?
- 1:27Ron Meyers: Well, they are impossible without God.
- 1:29Ron Meyers: So today we're going to tell you my guest, Candy Anderson Ferris, who is a speaker, author, and writer, and an encourager.
- 1:37Ron Meyers: We're going to talk about how do we go from where we are to living the dreams that God has for each of us.
- 1:46Ron Meyers: Right now, there are a lot of people out there with questions, but they're not getting the answers or maybe the right answers.
- 1:52Ron Meyers: You know, God has an answer for all of our questions.
- 1:55Ron Meyers: His word never changes.
- 1:57Ron Meyers: His word never changes.
- 1:58Ron Meyers: One of the things that in putting together today's show, it's a song that we played years ago on the radio, and it really had an effect on me in the early days of my ministry is by the Martins, Dream Big.
- 2:10Ron Meyers: And I really do believe that Christians sometimes just think they're on autopilot that we have a sovereign God and God's just gonna connect all the dots.
- 2:22Ron Meyers: All we have to do is sit back and let him move us.
- 2:25Ron Meyers: But we have to dream.
- 2:26Ron Meyers: We have to have visions, we have to move forward, don't we?
- 2:29Kandi Anderson Farris: It says in scripture, in him we live and move and have our beings.
- 2:33Kandi Anderson Farris: So that we have part in that.
- 2:35Kandi Anderson Farris: We have to do the moving and the it's it's work like everything depends on you, but pray like everything depends on God.
- 2:42Kandi Anderson Farris: And so I I do believe that we can become very stagnant in the visions that God has given us.
- 2:48Kandi Anderson Farris: And his calling, his gifts and calling are irrevocable.
- 2:53Kandi Anderson Farris: What he puts inside of us will always be there.
- 2:57Kandi Anderson Farris: It's just our part to, as scripture says, prepare the horse for the battle, and the victory is the Lord's.
- 3:04Kandi Anderson Farris: So we have to do something.
- 3:06Kandi Anderson Farris: And if we're faithful over little, he will make us faithful over much.
- 3:10Ron Meyers: I love to tell people dream so big, set your goals so high for your business, for your ministry, for your relationships that you will fail without God's intervention.
- 3:21Kandi Anderson Farris: Right.
- 3:22Kandi Anderson Farris: And he gets all the glory then.
- 3:23Kandi Anderson Farris: That's right.
- 3:24Kandi Anderson Farris: He's not a pocket-sized God.
- 3:25Ron Meyers: But because you and I, we can accomplish small size goals.
- 3:30Ron Meyers: We can do that.
- 3:30Ron Meyers: We then take credit for it.
- 3:32Ron Meyers: Well, I did this and I did that.
- 3:33Ron Meyers: But if our goals and our ideas and our dreams are so big that only God can make them happen, then you're right.
- 3:41Ron Meyers: Not only do we become dependent on God, but then we become a promoter for God because of his goodness and mercy in his our testimony.
- 3:49Ron Meyers: Our testimony.
- 3:50Ron Meyers: I like that.
- 3:50Ron Meyers: Yeah.
- 3:50Kandi Anderson Farris: It becomes our testimony, and there's always a test in the testimony.
- 3:54Kandi Anderson Farris: And so we we sometimes give up when it gets grueling or it gets hard and we don't we see the doors shut.
- 4:01Kandi Anderson Farris: We just quit.
- 4:03Kandi Anderson Farris: We quit.
- 4:03Kandi Anderson Farris: And we can't.
- 4:04Kandi Anderson Farris: We have to continue on because every season of our life, our calling looks different.
- 4:10Ron Meyers: Let me ask you, Candy, you've been around the block a few times.
- 4:13Ron Meyers: Have you ever wanted to just quit?
- 4:16Kandi Anderson Farris: Sure.
- 4:16Kandi Anderson Farris: I would just sit on the back porch and and put my feet up and quit.
- 4:19Kandi Anderson Farris: Yes.
- 4:20Ron Meyers: Why had why didn't you?
- 4:21Kandi Anderson Farris: Because I can't.
- 4:24Kandi Anderson Farris: He tells us where never to quit, we're to persevere and continue on to the to the end till he calls us home.
- 4:29Kandi Anderson Farris: And that's when we enter in and he says, Well done, my good and faithful servant.
- 4:34Ron Meyers: Sometimes I wonder about doing these broadcasts, how long I'll do them.
- 4:39Ron Meyers: And I'm thinking, well, you know, maybe I'd have slowed down, but there's something in me I just I can't.
- 4:44Ron Meyers: I just can't.
- 4:45Ron Meyers: I feel that if God has called you and I and everybody out there listening, if God has called us to do something, then we need to do everything we can to complete that journey.
- 4:57Ron Meyers: Even if sometimes we think, well, maybe I don't need to do this, or maybe I can take the comfort area and just sit back and relax and drink some iced tea or lemonade on the back porch.
- 5:06Kandi Anderson Farris: But I And there are seasons for that.
- 5:09Ron Meyers: Are there?
- 5:09Kandi Anderson Farris: There are.
- 5:10Kandi Anderson Farris: There's seasons for growing.
- 5:11Kandi Anderson Farris: That back porch, I have learned a whole lot on my back porch.
- 5:14Kandi Anderson Farris: I've I've prayed a lot, and and it seems my calling in life is I I believe God has called me to encourage and to build the body up.
- 5:23Kandi Anderson Farris: Yeah.
- 5:23Kandi Anderson Farris: To love on people and care for them.
- 5:26Kandi Anderson Farris: And so physically, maybe he slowed me down a little bit for a couple of years and I sat on the back porch.
- 5:32Kandi Anderson Farris: But during that time, my prayer, prayer life grew, my time in scripture grew and prepared me for the next stage of what's going on.
- 5:43Kandi Anderson Farris: You never ever quit.
- 5:45Kandi Anderson Farris: You you st you do and you deal with where you're at.
- 5:49Kandi Anderson Farris: And he will you I I'm telling you, he'll use it.
- 5:52Kandi Anderson Farris: There's a a story about a lady who was confined to bed and she could do nothing.
- 5:58Kandi Anderson Farris: I mean, nothing, except maybe receive phone calls.
- 6:01Kandi Anderson Farris: So she got a phone call one day and it was the wrong number, but she continued to talk to the fella, and as she talked to him, he was gonna commit suicide.
- 6:09Kandi Anderson Farris: And God had had him call her, and she talked to him, and they began she began to disciple him on the phone.
- 6:17Kandi Anderson Farris: So we never know how we're gonna be used or in what way, but our calling is to listen to him, and he places on our heart the gifts he has given us to use.
- 6:30Kandi Anderson Farris: Does that make sense?
- 6:32Ron Meyers: It does.
- 6:33Ron Meyers: And I think about taking care of my father in the nursing home a few years ago, and I got to meet a lot of individuals that started a ministry because they had a loved one in a nursing home and the loved one passed, but they saw the joy that their smile, their love could give another patient.
- 6:55Ron Meyers: So they started, they continually went up there in little things like that.
- 7:00Ron Meyers: Sometimes what God wants us to do, it isn't big.
- 7:03Ron Meyers: We may never read about it in the paper, may never make the news, but it's front headlines with God.
- 7:10Kandi Anderson Farris: It's huge in his economy.
- 7:12Ron Meyers: Huge in his economy.
- 7:13Ron Meyers: So if somebody said, Candy, I'm just bored with life, not having any fun.
- 7:19Ron Meyers: I've done all the things I've wanted to do, and I do crossword puzzles every day.
- 7:24Ron Meyers: I'm just bored.
- 7:25Ron Meyers: Any suggestions for that person?
- 7:27Ron Meyers: Get in the word.
- 7:29Kandi Anderson Farris: It's a living word.
- 7:30Kandi Anderson Farris: And and and I believe every experience that we go through, if we ask God to show himself in those experiences, life becomes exciting again.
- 7:41Kandi Anderson Farris: There are gonna be dry times.
- 7:43Kandi Anderson Farris: There just there just are.
- 7:44Kandi Anderson Farris: There are they're deserts, but that's a time that we need to ramp up our time in scripture, our belief in the in the facts of scripture, not the feeling of scripture, not the feeling of euphoria or all of that, because it's in the dry times in the valleys that we really, really, really connect with, Am I gonna stick this out?
- 8:09Ron Meyers: I'm gonna stick it out, yeah.
- 8:10Kandi Anderson Farris: And we've got to stick it out because we can keep there's a scripture that says quit circling this mountain and head north.
- 8:17Kandi Anderson Farris: We can circle and circle and circle about what am I supposed to be doing?
- 8:21Kandi Anderson Farris: What instead of putting one foot forward and heading north.
- 8:25Kandi Anderson Farris: We plow the row that we were made to plow.
- 8:28Kandi Anderson Farris: And that comes in different ways.
- 8:30Kandi Anderson Farris: For me, encouraging, write a letter to somebody, pray for them, call them.
- 8:34Kandi Anderson Farris: When God puts someone on your heart, do it.
- 8:37Kandi Anderson Farris: You get to see the excitement of what that little one piece of obedience, and that's what it all comes down to.
- 8:44Kandi Anderson Farris: That's really obedience.
- 8:45Ron Meyers: That's that's a good way to put it.
- 8:46Ron Meyers: It really does come down to that one word, obedience.
- 8:50Ron Meyers: You know, if we turn over our day to God and say, God, inspire me with what to do today.
- 8:56Ron Meyers: Give me an idea.
- 8:57Ron Meyers: Well, we may be mowing, we may be at the gym, we be walking, we may be reading the Bible, and all of a sudden it's happened to me.
- 9:04Ron Meyers: We get this incredible idea.
- 9:06Ron Meyers: It's a God idea.
- 9:08Kandi Anderson Farris: It's a god idea.
- 9:08Ron Meyers: And all of a sudden we get excited and we, you know, we start smiling and saying, This is what I'm going to do.
- 9:14Kandi Anderson Farris: One of my really hard times was is in my family years ago.
- 9:18Kandi Anderson Farris: I was probably the serious person in my family.
- 9:22Kandi Anderson Farris: And and you know my family is not serious.
- 9:24Kandi Anderson Farris: Uh my late husband was crazy and happy and all this.
- 9:28Kandi Anderson Farris: A practical joker joker.
- 9:30Kandi Anderson Farris: It was always something.
- 9:31Kandi Anderson Farris: So years ago I wrote this search my heart, oh, oh Lord, make my heart and hands an instrument of your will.
- 9:37Kandi Anderson Farris: Take all this craziness in my life and use it to preach for your glory.
- 9:43Kandi Anderson Farris: Amen.
- 9:44Kandi Anderson Farris: And so, and I and I wrote that that I could write these things and that I could speak them and use the the examples of everyday life to show God in everything, the that'll preach moments and radio for 15 years, and you know, writing writing in the paper for for longer than 15 years and books and and just getting to speak at different places.
- 10:08Kandi Anderson Farris: It just all of a sudden opened up because I was willing to take maybe where I was not comfortable and see the glory in it and the good in it and the joy in it and where he placed me and let him use me.
- 10:22Kandi Anderson Farris: Amen.
- 10:23Kandi Anderson Farris: In the middle of maybe you are in the middle of a mess right now.
- 10:28Kandi Anderson Farris: Well, you know, who better to know how to pray for somebody in the same mess?
- 10:33Kandi Anderson Farris: Yeah.
- 10:33Kandi Anderson Farris: You can do that.
- 10:34Kandi Anderson Farris: And maybe you're the answer.
- 10:36Kandi Anderson Farris: Like you said in nursing home, there's people that need people to come alongside them and love on them.
- 10:41Kandi Anderson Farris: Use that.
- 10:42Kandi Anderson Farris: Wherever you're at, you've got a circumstance that God will will turn in to use for his glory.
- 10:49Kandi Anderson Farris: We always have a job to do and always my prayer is this is the older I get, Lord, please don't let me ever forget scripture.
- 10:56Kandi Anderson Farris: Let me, if if I'm gonna lose everything else, let me let me remember scripture and be able to, when somebody comes in the room, be able to share that scripture to lift them up and build them up.
- 11:06Kandi Anderson Farris: Otherwise, everything else can go.
- 11:07Kandi Anderson Farris: I mean, I would love for everything to say uh cognizant and aware and all that.
- 11:12Kandi Anderson Farris: But if it doesn't, then Lord, use what I've got for you for where where I'm at.
- 11:17Ron Meyers: So and sometimes we've all heard that expression, Candy, stop and smell the roses.
- 11:23Ron Meyers: Absolutely.
- 11:23Ron Meyers: Quit looking forward to tomorrow.
- 11:26Ron Meyers: Just start looking forward to today.
- 11:28Ron Meyers: You live in the present when we take advantage of the moment we have right now, today, tomorrow will take care of itself.
- 11:35Kandi Anderson Farris: Absolutely.
- 11:36Kandi Anderson Farris: I love the story of a I think it was UPS guy, who whoever has the brown truck.
- 11:41Kandi Anderson Farris: Is it UPS or UPS?
- 11:43Kandi Anderson Farris: Well, he was driving to work one morning and and and he saw a car go into a lake, and he rushed to that car and pulled out an elderly gentleman, and they were trying to make him a hero on the news and everything like that.
- 11:55Kandi Anderson Farris: And he just said, That was my calling for today.
- 11:58Kandi Anderson Farris: And ever since I heard that story, that's been my prayer, Lord, show me what my calling is for today.
- 12:05Ron Meyers: That'd be a good challenge right now for the people listening, is set a challenge each day.
- 12:11Ron Meyers: Maybe it's just to smile, to hold a door open for someone, to do a favor for someone, or just encourage someone.
- 12:19Ron Meyers: Everybody needs encouragement.
- 12:20Kandi Anderson Farris: And it's the same way in our faith.
- 12:22Kandi Anderson Farris: We have to practice our faith, and we have to continue as as we said before, walk in obedience, know what God says, and then follow in his steps and follow his example.
- 12:36Ron Meyers: Failures, none of us like to fail, none of us like to have setbacks, but that's how we grow to where God needs us to be.
- 12:45Ron Meyers: It's to through those failures.
- 12:47Kandi Anderson Farris: And that's what I love about scripture, is all through scripture, it is not a group of men and women who are always the best.
- 12:55Kandi Anderson Farris: There are a bunch of mess-ups on there.
- 12:57Kandi Anderson Farris: I mean, you look at David, you look at Peter, you look at so many in Scripture, they're real people who fail, but yet God takes that failure and grows him.
- 13:09Kandi Anderson Farris: Look at Peter.
- 13:10Kandi Anderson Farris: He became one of the greatest preachers and and and builders of church upon this rock.
- 13:15Kandi Anderson Farris: I will build my church.
- 13:16Kandi Anderson Farris: But he failed.
- 13:18Kandi Anderson Farris: But God didn't give up, he'll never give up on us.
- 13:21Ron Meyers: God uses all people of all shapes and sizes, and and we're never going to be that perfect person.
- 13:28Ron Meyers: So why do we keep trying to be perfect?
- 13:30Ron Meyers: Just be ourselves and go out and do the right thing, and God will take care of the rest.
- 13:35Kandi Anderson Farris: You can't look on social media and try to be somebody else.
- 13:38Kandi Anderson Farris: If you try to be somebody else, then then God, the place God has for you is being vacated.
- 13:44Kandi Anderson Farris: You have to do what God called you to do, not what another person is called to do.
- 13:48Kandi Anderson Farris: The the toe, the hand, the foot, it all works together and fits together.
- 13:52Kandi Anderson Farris: And it's very important that we don't try to be something else.
- 13:55Kandi Anderson Farris: And he takes, my thing is, he takes the foolish things to confound the wise.
- 14:00Kandi Anderson Farris: And and I'm pretty foolish sometimes.
- 14:02Kandi Anderson Farris: And he takes the weak things when we admit our weakness and give it to him, it's becomes a strength because he's strong in us.
- 14:09Kandi Anderson Farris: The Holy Spirit moves in us to strengthen, to teach, to guide, and to convict us.
- 14:15Kandi Anderson Farris: It's not of ourselves that anything good happens.
- 14:19Ron Meyers: We will never find our God-given destiny on our own.
- 14:23Ron Meyers: Only God can give it to us.
- 14:24Kandi Anderson Farris: Only He draws us and only He gives it to us.
- 14:27Ron Meyers: And so that's I tell people, why waste any more time?
- 14:29Ron Meyers: Why not pursue God with all your heart, mind, and soul today and understand really what you were created for?
- 14:35Ron Meyers: What is that one assignment?
- 14:37Ron Meyers: I like remember that show Touched by an Angel with Right.
- 14:40Ron Meyers: That was and I tell people, you've got an assignment that God wants you to complete before you leave this world.
- 14:46Ron Meyers: I can't tell you what your assignment is, but God can tell you what that assignment is.
- 14:51Kandi Anderson Farris: Right.
- 14:52Kandi Anderson Farris: So many times we go trying to change things.
- 14:55Kandi Anderson Farris: The only person that we can change is ourselves.
- 14:57Kandi Anderson Farris: And God is going to use you because you were perfectly made in his image for such a time as this, for his goodwill and his good pleasure.
- 15:07Kandi Anderson Farris: So I I think that we get guilty and we stop, or we get thinking we're not good enough or we can't.
- 15:14Kandi Anderson Farris: Look, it's not about you, it's about God.
- 15:17Kandi Anderson Farris: My thing is I keep a little donkey that sits where I can see it all the time.
- 15:21Kandi Anderson Farris: I wake up and I see that donkey.
- 15:23Kandi Anderson Farris: And it means if God can speak through a donkey, he can speak through you.
- 15:27Kandi Anderson Farris: And that's what I believe.
- 15:28Kandi Anderson Farris: There's nothing about me that's any good.
- 15:31Kandi Anderson Farris: Amen.
- 15:31Kandi Anderson Farris: Um, it's only Christ in us, and he promises he will never leave us and he will never forsake us, and he will always use every fragment.
- 15:44Kandi Anderson Farris: This is a scripture that he gave me in John 6, you know, after he feeds the five thousand.
- 15:49Kandi Anderson Farris: Sometimes you feel like your world is shattered and it's just in fragments.
- 16:00Kandi Anderson Farris: Well, you pick up those fragments and you give them to the Lord, and nothing will be lost.
- 16:04Kandi Anderson Farris: He'll use every single part of everything you've gone through for his honor, for his glory, and for others.
- 16:11Kandi Anderson Farris: You we comfort with the comfort by which we've been comforted, and in that becomes a purpose and a calling and a plan.
- 16:19Ron Meyers: What Jesus said, you know, come to me, all you that are weary and tired, and he came to give us an abundant life, that's true.
- 16:28Ron Meyers: It's true.
- 16:29Ron Meyers: He did he what Jesus said is true.
- 16:31Ron Meyers: Joy, yes, exactly.
- 16:35Ron Meyers: So if we start believing what God says has truth, if we start believing this, it changes our thinking.
- 16:43Ron Meyers: And when we change our thinking, it changes the circumstances in our life because when we can say confidently, God knows my troubles, he knows my sorrows, and he is with me while I go through this.
- 16:55Kandi Anderson Farris: That's what we have to have scripture.
- 16:56Kandi Anderson Farris: That's what we have to do.
- 16:57Kandi Anderson Farris: You have to hang on to it.
- 16:58Kandi Anderson Farris: My family right now is reading through 1 John for every day of the month.
- 17:03Kandi Anderson Farris: And it's really, it's really kind of cool because those things are popping up in our lives and we're using them.
- 17:08Kandi Anderson Farris: And it in in the first part of 1 John, he says, John says, handle me.
- 17:14Kandi Anderson Farris: We these are the things that we have handled.
- 17:16Kandi Anderson Farris: And Christ in his when he came back after the resurrection, he says, handle me.
- 17:21Kandi Anderson Farris: And that's what we need to do.
- 17:22Kandi Anderson Farris: We have to handle the word of God, and it will never fail.
- 17:26Kandi Anderson Farris: He just doesn't fail.
- 17:27Kandi Anderson Farris: Like you said, his reputation is solid, so we can handle him and know that he will provide our needs according to his riches and glory, that he will he's given us every promise that we need to live this life.
- 17:41Kandi Anderson Farris: So if he's done that, then let's live like it.
- 17:45Ron Meyers: Let's live like it.
- 17:46Ron Meyers: Yeah, don't worry about all the things that are going on out there, friends.
- 17:50Ron Meyers: God sees, he knows what's going on, he sees this world.
- 17:54Kandi Anderson Farris: He created it.
- 17:55Ron Meyers: He created it.
- 17:56Kandi Anderson Farris: He has the end from the beginning and he wins.
- 17:58Ron Meyers: But he also created you and I to be a part of the solution today.
- 18:04Ron Meyers: Today, and not one that sits back and points fingers at people.
- 18:09Ron Meyers: Don't point fingers.
- 18:10Ron Meyers: No, let's go out there and be busy and do what God has called each of us to do.
- 18:14Ron Meyers: And guess what?
- 18:15Ron Meyers: We start making a difference first in our family, then our community, our church, and it spreads.
- 18:20Kandi Anderson Farris: Jesus is a part of us.
- 18:21Kandi Anderson Farris: And if if you are a believer, you're going to look and act different.
- 18:25Kandi Anderson Farris: And every place you go, whether it's in your your business or if you're a teacher or or a parent or whatever, Jesus is going to be in the fabric of who you are.
- 18:35Kandi Anderson Farris: And we shouldn't just say, oh, let somebody else handle politics or let somebody else be on the radio or let somebody else that that's how I I got to write in the paper was we just said there should be more things about good news of Christ, the good news of the gospel.
- 18:52Kandi Anderson Farris: And man, God opened the door for that because you have to step up and be who you are in Christ wherever you are.
- 19:02Kandi Anderson Farris: You don't leave him at home when you go in the workplace.
- 19:04Kandi Anderson Farris: You don't leave him home at the marketplace.
- 19:06Kandi Anderson Farris: You don't leave him at home in politics.
- 19:09Kandi Anderson Farris: He is a part of the fabric of who we are.
- 19:12Kandi Anderson Farris: And like you said, we can't we we can't go out and change the whole world, but we can change first ourselves and then our home, and then it moves out from there.
- 19:22Kandi Anderson Farris: I look at the legacy that that we leave in our children, and and and I my prayer has always been that my children stand on my shoulders spiritually.
- 19:31Ron Meyers: Well, always so good.
- 19:32Ron Meyers: I can't believe time flies when you come by so fast that we're out of time.
- 19:37Ron Meyers: One thing quick prayer for our listeners.
- 19:40Kandi Anderson Farris: Father, I just thank you, Lord, that you love us and that you are for us.
- 19:45Kandi Anderson Farris: And if God be for us, who can be against us?

- 21:36Ron Meyers: Today's story of empowerment is entitled Fearful Francis and the Island of Regrets.
- 21:43Ron Meyers: Once upon a time, on the island of regrets, there lived a young boy named Fearful Francis.
- 21:50Ron Meyers: As the youngest of eight children, he was constantly told by his elders about the importance of caution in maintaining the status quo.
- 21:58Ron Meyers: Now the island was home to three peculiar villages, should have, would have, and could have, where people constantly contemplated past decisions and missed opportunities.
- 22:09Ron Meyers: Now, Francis was unlike any other child on the island.
- 22:12Ron Meyers: His loud and outspoken nature often got him into trouble.
- 22:17Ron Meyers: Yet it also made him question why everyone seemed so afraid to take chances.
- 22:24Ron Meyers: Why do we never try to do things differently?
- 22:27Ron Meyers: Francis would ask.
- 22:29Ron Meyers: One evening, after listening to yet another story of If only from the elders, Francis declared, This year it's time for a new beginning.
- 22:52Ron Meyers: To him, it was clear that living in fear was wasting the gift of life.
- 22:58Ron Meyers: He inspired others with his enthusiasm to confront fears and seek the true potential within themselves.
- 23:06Ron Meyers: Encouraging the villagers, Francis preached about putting their faith in God.
- 23:12Ron Meyers: He has a plan for each of us, Francis would say, and if we're afraid, we will never grow and become who we are truly meant to become.
- 23:23Ron Meyers: He rallied his friends and family to overcome their fears and trust in a brighter future, believing that their talents, skills, and abilities could shine if only they would allow themselves the freedom to act.
- 23:41Ron Meyers: Gradually the people began to listen.
- 23:44Ron Meyers: Inspired by Francis's courage, families started moving to the communities of hope, peace, purpose, and passion.
- 23:53Ron Meyers: Now these villages thrived on dreams and ambitions where people supported one another in their pursuits and offered encouragement at every step.
- 24:04Ron Meyers: Francis had sparked a movement that brought the island closer together.
- 24:10Ron Meyers: In the pursuit of their dreams and fulfillment, they discovered something magical, the fountain of youth, a metaphorical wellspring within each of them that burst forth when they embraced courage and left behind regrets.
- 24:30Ron Meyers: Their newfound vitality and joy proved infectious, turning the island of regrets into an island of promise.
- 24:40Ron Meyers: So, what is the moral of my story?
- 24:44Ron Meyers: The moral is fearful Francis' journey teaches us that fear and the unknown can prevent us from experiencing the fullness of life.
- 24:55Ron Meyers: We must confront our fears and open ourselves up to possibilities by trusting in God's plan and boldly pursuing our dreams.
- 25:08Ron Meyers: We not only unlock our true potential but also inspire others to do the same, transforming our world into a place of hope and endless opportunities.
