- 0:03SPEAKER_00: Welcome to Reclaiming Consciousness.
- 0:05SPEAKER_00: My name is Elise Basil, spiritual mentor, breathwork practitioner, and owner and CEO of Elise Breeds.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: For many years, our consciousness has been hijacked by societal and cultural programming, religion, the media, and familial and ancestral trauma.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: Right now, during this epic time in history, people are waking up, realizing who they really are, and reclaiming the pieces of their consciousness that they unknowingly gave away.
- 0:33SPEAKER_00: This podcast is an exploration of how so many spectacular humans are leading the way and exiting the matrix and reclaiming who they really are and what they're capable of.
- 0:44SPEAKER_00: In this show, you'll meet exceptional people who are paving the way in raising consciousness and creating a new way of living on this earth.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: Get ready to go deep.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Now let's dive in.
- 1:00SPEAKER_00: Hi everyone.
- 1:01SPEAKER_00: Welcome back to the show.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, you guys, this episode, like I know I'm excited for all the episodes and I on all my guests, but this guest, her name is Crystal Biga, and you'll hear her tell her story of coming here from Africa five years ago to live her dreams, basically.
- 1:23SPEAKER_00: And when we were recording this, I literally was either crying or holding back tears the entire time.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Not necessarily because it was sad.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: It wasn't really sad.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: I mean, there were sad parts of it.
- 1:37SPEAKER_00: It's just more so inspirational and so expansive that I was getting emotional.
- 1:45SPEAKER_00: And her message and her outlook on life is something that everyone needs to hear.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Like just listening to her and feeling her vibe is something that is going to shift you completely.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: So she just tells her story and she tells of the way that she kind of looks at things and the way that she helps other people to really take your power back and really look at the world in a way that is completely taking responsibility for everything in your life so that you can be fully sovereign in your full authority and fully reclaim your power, which is what I'm all about, obviously.
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: You guys know that.
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: So you're really gonna enjoy this episode with Crystal Biga.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: And I definitely want to have her back on the show because I feel like there's so much more we could have gone into.
- 2:39SPEAKER_00: And the other thing I want to announce is that I still have a couple spaces available to work with me privately.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: So this is really for the woman that's like a go big or go home kind of woman.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: Like that's how I am.
- 2:55SPEAKER_00: You guys have heard me talk about my journey where I, as a school counselor, somehow figured out how to invest in myself and start a business basically from nothing.
- 3:07SPEAKER_00: And, you know, now I'm just celebrating.
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: February was my best month ever.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I was just under 50K in revenue for February.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: So I have really quantum leaped.
- 3:18SPEAKER_00: And what that takes is continual investment in yourself with your energy, with your willingness, with your money, and with your time to really continue to show up no matter what.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: And the private work with me is a reflection of this type of energy where we really go deep to rapidly uncover exactly what is blocking you from hitting your next level of expansion.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: And it's for that woman, like you know that you're here for more.
- 3:49SPEAKER_00: You know that you came here for more.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: You can feel it.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: You might not even know exactly what it is.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: And even if you've had success, but you know there's more for you, but you're not sure exactly how to get to that, or you know you have some blocks that you might not be aware of, or that you might know what they are, but you haven't moved through it in a way that is potent to this point.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: This is for you because my ability to see what is blocking you in a way and at a level that most people can't, to be quite frank, it moves energy and it shifts you in a way that you can't even imagine.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: And the women who work with me privately make such rapid shifts in such a short amount of time that result in making a lot more money in their businesses, completely changing their relationships and really claiming the life that they know they were meant to live.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: And when you do this and when you start to live in this way, everything just starts to become easy.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: Like, yes, we're human and we always have things come up, but I show you how to navigate things so that you are forever empowered to navigate things on your own where you don't have to get stuck anymore.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: So that's the power of this work.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: And if this is calling to you, reach out to me.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: You can apply through my website under the work with me tab, or just DM me and we can chat about whether this is a fit for you.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: So that is available only until the end of March or until the spots fill, which will most likely be before then.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: So if it is something that you are feeling drawn to to really completely change your life and start getting really rapid results, then um reach out to me so we can chat.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: And I know you're gonna love this episode and I can't wait for you to hear it.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Enjoy.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: Hi everyone, welcome back to Reclaiming Consciousness.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: I am super like beyond excited for the guest I have for you guys today.
- 5:51SPEAKER_00: So I have with us Crystal Biga, who is a former corporate executive turned inspirational speaker, TV talk show host, and president of the Freedom Through Courage TV channel.
- 6:04SPEAKER_00: Crystal left Africa five years ago to pursue her American dream.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: She barely spoke English and knew no one here.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: Her American dream almost turned into a nightmare when an immigration officer tried to deport her because he said she was coming to work as a prostitute.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: She was put in jail for nine months before finally getting granted the legal right to stay.
- 6:26SPEAKER_00: She's now a successful entrepreneur and inspirational speaker who has been interviewed on podcasts and news stations around the world.
- 6:33SPEAKER_00: And her story has been published in several magazines.
- 6:36SPEAKER_00: As an inspirational speaker, she empowers entrepreneurs to have the courage to make bold decisions so they can achieve the level of success that they dream of.
- 6:44SPEAKER_00: She's also the president of the Freedom Through Courage TV channel and host of the TV talk show Living the Dream, streaming on Roku.
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the show, Crystal.
- 6:55unknown: Thank you.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: I usually don't read someone's entire bio, but yours is so good, I just had to read the whole thing.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: So I just want to kind of jump right into it.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Can you just kind of start by telling us your story, however you want to do that, and how you started and how you got to where you are now?
- 7:13SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 7:14SPEAKER_02: When you say my story, it's interesting because I have so many pieces of that story that, you know, uh I can start with.
- 7:22SPEAKER_02: But let's just go with, you know, what you read in the bio and we go from there.
- 7:27SPEAKER_02: Okay, so a few years ago, that is my sixth year actually, I decided to take the leap of faith, to leave everything behind me and, you know, come to the land of opportunity, the United States.
- 7:38SPEAKER_02: I had no friends or family here, and it was at the time really crazy to do that, right?
- 7:44SPEAKER_02: To leave your country and go to a different country where you can't even speak the language, because at the time I couldn't speak English.
- 7:50SPEAKER_02: But I just knew that the next level that I wanted, I just knew that the message that I had to share, I needed a bigger platform.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: I needed a space that would allow me to do that at a bigger capacity.
- 8:04SPEAKER_02: Could I do that in my country?
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: Yes, but not at the same level.
- 8:07SPEAKER_02: So that was my idea.
- 8:09SPEAKER_02: So I decided to take the leap of faith and made the big jump.
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: Moved to the United States.
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: And what you read in Dubai happened.
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: You know, I came all excited, I didn't expect that to happen, and it happened as a lot of things in life, right?
- 8:23SPEAKER_02: We have plans, we think we have it all figured out, we have a step-by-step, everything looks good on paper until reality hits, until something happens that was never planned.
- 8:33SPEAKER_02: And that's what happened at that airport.
- 8:35SPEAKER_02: And one of the biggest moments for me, before even being sent at the detention center, they put me on a bench waiting, you know, for another immigration officer to process me and send me for the interview and all of that.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: And as I was sitting on that bench trying to figure out what was happening, because I just couldn't believe that, you know, I was being accused to be a prostitute or anything like that.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: So as I was sitting there trying to understand what was happening, another immigration officer stopped by.
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: And I know how it's busy, it can get really crazy.
- 9:20SPEAKER_02: And immigration officer don't stop and talk to passengers randomly for no reason.
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: So that day he stopped, looked at me, and asked me, What's going on, sister?
- 9:31SPEAKER_02: And I started talking.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: Again, remember, I couldn't speak English, right?
- 9:34SPEAKER_02: I just started talking.
- 9:36SPEAKER_02: And he was standing there listening.
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure what I was telling him, but at the moment it just felt like finally somebody wants to hear what I have to say because the whole time those people were telling me what they knew about me or they thought they knew about me, they were not really listening.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: So for somebody to ask me for the first time to say what I had to say, I didn't care about my English.
- 9:59SPEAKER_02: I just started talking.
- 10:02SPEAKER_02: And I and he listened patiently.
- 10:05SPEAKER_02: And at the end of whatever I told him, he just said, everything's going to be all right.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: And that word just kept me going for a minute because why did I believe him?
- 10:17SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 10:17SPEAKER_02: He didn't know anything about what was going to happen, but he said that and I believed him.
- 10:23SPEAKER_02: And love is really interesting because we sometimes think we are alone.
- 10:28SPEAKER_02: And the support, the help comes from a place that it's so unknown.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: We think it's unknown.
- 10:34SPEAKER_02: We think it's just happened.
- 10:35SPEAKER_02: We think it's coincidence, but it is, is it?
- 10:38SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: The universe is an interesting place, and maybe we're going to have a chance to go deeper to that.
- 10:44SPEAKER_02: But really, it's life is really interesting.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: We have exactly what we need when we need to.
- 10:50SPEAKER_02: At that moment, maybe I just needed to hear those words to not collapse, to not, you know, whatever emotions I was going through.
- 10:58SPEAKER_02: So those words kept me going for a minute.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: And I ended up in that detention center.
- 11:04SPEAKER_02: Now, that's a nice word, right?
- 11:06SPEAKER_02: But in reality, it's jail.
- 11:07SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 11:08SPEAKER_02: It's a prison where they put people and in, you know, they're trying to decide if they're going to deport them or not.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: And it was really traumatic.
- 11:15SPEAKER_02: When I arrived there, I couldn't believe what was happening.
- 11:19SPEAKER_02: First of all, it was December 31st.
- 11:21SPEAKER_02: So I was all excited about the new year and thinking I'm going to start, you know, the new year in a new land and start fresh and all the dreams that I had in my head.
- 11:29SPEAKER_02: So before they sent me there, they stopped me in the prison and they asked me to call anybody.
- 11:34SPEAKER_02: Two minutes.
- 11:35SPEAKER_02: You have two minutes.
- 11:36SPEAKER_02: So I called my brother back home in Cameroon and I told him I got arrested.
- 11:40SPEAKER_02: And at the time they were having lunch because of the time difference for them, they were having lunch.
- 11:45SPEAKER_02: And you know, first, January 1st is a big celebration back home.
- 11:49SPEAKER_02: You know, people have big feasts and all of that.
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: So they were having that lunch with friends and family, and I announced that news.
- 11:56SPEAKER_02: So of course the lunch stopped, right?
- 11:59SPEAKER_02: But I just had two minutes, so I didn't even have time to talk to my own brother or my family.
- 12:03SPEAKER_02: And I couldn't tell him where I was.
- 12:05SPEAKER_02: And I had nobody here, remember?
- 12:07SPEAKER_02: So they were all panicked there.
- 12:09SPEAKER_02: You know, it was a real nightmare.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: So I was sent to that detention center, wore a uniform like a criminal and everything with handcuffs and all of the thing.
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: And I cried in that place as I've never cried in my whole life.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: Because the whole time I kept asking, why is this happening to me?
- 12:26SPEAKER_02: I didn't do anything wrong.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: I got my visa, I came the right way.
- 12:31SPEAKER_02: So why am I here like a criminal?
- 12:33SPEAKER_02: What did I actually do?
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: Why is this happening to me?
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: And as I was there, I was hearing other women's stories, and I just couldn't believe that I was there.
- 12:42SPEAKER_02: They couldn't even believe that I was there either, because none of them came the way I did.
- 12:47SPEAKER_02: But I was there, and I was there for nine months.
- 12:51SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 12:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, now I didn't have to stay for nine months.
- 12:54SPEAKER_02: Why did I stay for nine months?
- 12:56SPEAKER_02: I didn't have a lawyer.
- 12:57SPEAKER_02: So every time I go to court, okay, do you have a lawyer?
- 13:00SPEAKER_02: Go get a lawyer.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: Every month you go there and nine months doing that.
- 13:04SPEAKER_02: But during those nine months, I had the opportunity every day.
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: Really, I could wake up any morning, sign a deportation paper, and say, you know what, I'm done with this, I'm going home.
- 13:14SPEAKER_02: And I had that thought.
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: I think every day I will think, you know what?
- 13:17SPEAKER_02: There is really no good reason for me to be in jail, treated like a criminal.
- 13:21SPEAKER_02: They wake me up at 5 a.m.
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: to count me to make sure I didn't run away in the night.
- 13:25SPEAKER_02: This is too much.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: And I had that conversation with myself over and over again.
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: And the women who were there were my reminder that no, you came from far.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: You had a dream.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: You wanted something.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: That's why you're here.
- 13:39SPEAKER_02: You cannot go back now.
- 13:41SPEAKER_02: And I joined emotionally a group, and I felt unconsciously that I had to stay, not even for me only, but for them.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: Because it became a common fight at that point.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: They were not giving up, even though they didn't really have evidence that they would make it.
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: Some of them were deported and things were happening, right?
- 14:05SPEAKER_02: But they didn't want to give up.
- 14:07SPEAKER_02: So for me, going back would have been the easier option.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: I had my life back home.
- 14:12SPEAKER_02: I wasn't on the street or anything.
- 14:13SPEAKER_02: I wasn't in jail.
- 14:14SPEAKER_02: I wasn't treated like a criminal.
- 14:16SPEAKER_02: But I couldn't.
- 14:17SPEAKER_02: I couldn't for myself and I couldn't for them.
- 14:19SPEAKER_02: So I stayed in that human experience for me, for them, and for all of us.
- 14:24SPEAKER_02: And they told me the body leaves this place with the legal right to stay.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: You have a few options.
- 14:30SPEAKER_02: Either you get deported or they give you a bond that if your family can pay, well, they release you and then you go continue, you fight outside, whatever.
- 14:38SPEAKER_02: And maybe they release you on parole if you have somebody.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: So my brother found a friend here, they send all the documents.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: Everything was supposed to work well for me to be released in two weeks, and I wasn't released.
- 14:49SPEAKER_02: I wasn't.
- 14:50SPEAKER_02: So I ended up staying there crying my eyes out whenever I got a chance to.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: And at the end of the day, what they told me was impossible happened.
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: And the last day I was going to court, I was determined.
- 15:01SPEAKER_02: I said, if this doesn't work out, I remember my sister is in Canada.
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: Sometimes, you know, she would send money and then I would call her.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: And then I told her, you know what?
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: Tomorrow is the day I'm going to court for the last time.
- 15:12SPEAKER_02: Because if the judge doesn't make a decision to release me, I'm going back.
- 15:18SPEAKER_02: I'm going to tell him to deport me back because I cannot take this anymore.
- 15:22SPEAKER_02: And that day when we they allow us to go out and take some fresh air, I had a conversation with my dad.
- 15:28SPEAKER_02: I mean, I told, I spoke to him.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: He didn't respond.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: So it wasn't really a conversation at the moment, but I spoke to him, and my dad passed away in 2008.
- 15:36SPEAKER_02: So he's not on in this eye.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: So I was there and I just sat by myself in that yard and I said, You see what is happening, don't you?
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: You know I'm here and you know I don't want to be here.
- 15:48SPEAKER_02: And I'm done with this.
- 15:49SPEAKER_02: So you better do something.
- 15:51SPEAKER_02: I don't know what you're going to do.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: I don't know how you're going to do it, but you better do something because I can't do this anymore.
- 15:56SPEAKER_02: And that night I had a dream where my brother told me, Daddy said it's going to help you.
- 16:02SPEAKER_02: And I went to court and I was granted the legal right to stay, which nobody has ever done in that place.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: And I went back to that place all excited, telling them they released me, they gave me the paper, you know, to stay.
- 16:14SPEAKER_02: And they were like, you know, forget it.
- 16:15SPEAKER_02: You're telling us stories, you're lying, what happened?
- 16:18SPEAKER_02: They had to read it to believe it because it never happened before.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: They had to read it, and everybody was excited because again, we were engaged in that battle, everybody individually but collectively at the same time.
- 16:32SPEAKER_02: And that is how life works.
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: Sometimes, you know, you find yourself in a situation just to see the bigger picture of life.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: You come, you have your own dream, you have your own goal, you have your own plan, you have your own vision.
- 16:45SPEAKER_02: But are you really alone in that?
- 16:47SPEAKER_02: Or are we in this human experience together, even when we don't know it?
- 16:51SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 16:52SPEAKER_02: So that was an experience at the time that felt really traumatic.
- 16:56SPEAKER_02: When I left from that place, I couldn't share this story.
- 16:58SPEAKER_02: I was so ashamed of myself.
- 17:00SPEAKER_02: What did I do wrong?
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 17:02SPEAKER_02: But that's what happens.
- 17:03SPEAKER_02: Sometimes we have things that happen, we go through experiences, and we are full of shame when we shouldn't.
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: And I was ashamed because I had all those stories in my head.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: I was in jail.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: Jail in my culture is for criminals, right?
- 17:16SPEAKER_02: I think everywhere in the world is criminals that go to jail.
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: And for me, I was a criminal.
- 17:20SPEAKER_02: So I didn't want people to know that I was in jail because they would think I'm a criminal.
- 17:24SPEAKER_02: So I was hiding it.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: I didn't want anybody to remind me of this.
- 17:28SPEAKER_02: And for two good years, nobody who knew me knew that story.
- 17:32SPEAKER_02: No, the friends that I made here, they didn't know unless I met them in the detention center.
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: Some of the people that I met there became really good friends.
- 17:40SPEAKER_02: But apart from them, no one else knew that I was there.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: Until one day I was invited on a podcast.
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: And I didn't know exactly what the ghost was going to ask me.
- 17:50SPEAKER_02: And he told me, just we're just going to have a conversation.
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: And I love having conversations.
- 17:53SPEAKER_02: So I went there, no idea what I was going to share.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: And he asked me to just tell me about myself.
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: And as I was talking, I started telling this story without any preparation.
- 18:05SPEAKER_02: I started telling this story, and he couldn't believe this story.
- 18:09SPEAKER_02: And it was in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic.
- 18:13SPEAKER_02: And it was just the right message for people who at the time felt their world fell apart, who felt hopeless, helpless, who didn't know what to expect from life.
- 18:26SPEAKER_02: So in the middle of the lockdown, the pandemic, and the whole world is freaking out.
- 18:31SPEAKER_02: I was able to share that story at that moment and just tell people the simple thing, the same thing that immigration officer told me at the airport.
- 18:39SPEAKER_02: It's going to be all right.
- 18:40SPEAKER_02: It might not look that way now.
- 18:42SPEAKER_02: Might not like look like everything is over.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: There is no way you are going to make it through.
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: I didn't know I could survive jail.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:48SPEAKER_02: Somebody would have told me before I came here, you will spend one night in jail.
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: I'll be like, Are you kidding?
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: Because it's not happening.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 18:56SPEAKER_02: But here I was, put there, and I spent nine months.
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: And that's what I was telling them at the time in 2020.
- 19:02SPEAKER_02: Nobody expected this.
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: If somebody would have told us January 1st, 2020, okay, you know what?
- 19:07SPEAKER_02: You have like three months to take fresh air, and after that, you're locked down for probably the rest of the blah blah blah.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: Forget it.
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: This is 2020, this is an amazing year.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: This is going to be all so great.
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: We have this, all these big goals, these big plans.
- 19:20SPEAKER_02: And life happened.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: So I had the opportunity with my story to tell them it's going to be all right.
- 19:26SPEAKER_02: I don't know what your situation is, I don't know what it looks like.
- 19:28SPEAKER_02: And I don't know you, but I know one thing, it's going to be alright.
- 19:32SPEAKER_02: Because we have that in us as human beings.
- 19:35SPEAKER_02: And we don't know how powerful we are until we are called to use that power.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: We don't know what we are really capable of until we are called to use our tools.
- 19:45SPEAKER_02: So those challenging times sometimes are opportunities for us to see that you think you cannot do it, you think you don't have what it takes, you think it's not what you are capable of until you realize that actually I was able to do it and I did it.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: That's why I'm standing here today.
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: But I think it's time to, you know, breathe.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes.
- 20:13SPEAKER_00: Well, thank you so much for sharing that.
- 20:14SPEAKER_00: I know I am like tearing up.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: So I guess, oh God, where do we even go from here?
- 20:21SPEAKER_00: Well, thank you again for sharing that because that was really powerful.
- 20:25SPEAKER_00: And I agree with you.
- 20:26SPEAKER_00: And I think that from 2020 onward, I think a lot of us, I know for me, if you would have told me I would be facing some of the challenges that I did, especially last year, I would have said there's no way I could handle that.
- 20:40SPEAKER_00: And I handled it, and I'm a completely different person, like better version of myself because of it.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: So I completely agree with you.
- 20:49SPEAKER_00: So I guess I'm interested to know.
- 20:51SPEAKER_00: So after you got out of jail, like how did everything unfold for you?
- 20:56SPEAKER_00: Because it's obviously been a huge, like a lot has happened since then, right?
- 21:00SPEAKER_00: So what happened?
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: It was really a journey when they released you because it takes so long for them to pre-process all the paperwork and everything.
- 21:10SPEAKER_02: They let me out at probably 10 p.m.
- 21:12SPEAKER_02: And mind you, again, I don't know anybody here, but people who used to come, organization to visit us and all of that.
- 21:18SPEAKER_02: So I had a few numbers of people that I really know didn't know personally, but who used to come visit us.
- 21:24SPEAKER_02: So as I was waiting for my power, I needed a place to go.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: I didn't have any idea because when I was coming, I had booked a hotel where I could stay, but it has been nine months, okay?
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: So reservations pass.
- 21:38SPEAKER_02: Okay, so here I was all confused.
- 21:41SPEAKER_02: I wasn't sure what to do.
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: So I was able to get somebody who said, Okay, we are going to come pick you up.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: And when they finished processing the paperwork, it was around 10 p.m.
- 21:49SPEAKER_02: They drove me out of that place and led me by the roadside and said, Welcome to America.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: And I was standing there on the street like at 10 p.m.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: No idea where I am.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: Okay, it's a new country.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: I've never been here before.
- 22:03SPEAKER_02: I'm standing there wondering if those people don't come pick me up, what am I going to do with myself?
- 22:10SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 22:10SPEAKER_02: And luckily they came and they dropped me off at the shelter.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: New experience.
- 22:15SPEAKER_02: Because again, I had no idea what the shelter is.
- 22:19SPEAKER_02: So again, I'm in a place sleeping with other people, no space for my luggages, and I have to shower for seven minutes because at home, meaning I can't even wash my hair.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: Because in seven minutes you barely have time.
- 22:32SPEAKER_02: Because you put a coin, water stops, water stops.
- 22:35SPEAKER_02: So if you have soap on your hair, it's on you.
- 22:39SPEAKER_02: So it was a different experience again.
- 22:41SPEAKER_02: And I just one of the ladies that I met in that detention center who used to live here, you know, called her and she helped me try to find a place.
- 22:49SPEAKER_02: And eventually somebody connected me to a lady who had a house where she was renting rooms, a lady from Cameroon, actually.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: And she was able to rent a room in her house to me without any credit because I didn't even know you needed the credit score and all of those things in the US to rent a place or do anything.
- 23:05SPEAKER_02: So I had the money, but even with that, nobody would have rented me anything without any credit history, rental history, and all of that.
- 23:11SPEAKER_02: So I didn't know.
- 23:13SPEAKER_02: So she rented that room to me.
- 23:15SPEAKER_02: And I started following up with my paperwork, you know, going again, figuring it out, you know, asking her where to take the bus.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: She didn't know she had a car.
- 23:24SPEAKER_02: She didn't remember how to take the bus.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: So I had to Google everything, try to find offices, social service.
- 23:30SPEAKER_02: I mean, figure everything out and apply for jobs.
- 23:33SPEAKER_02: And the job again, listen, sometimes I want to believe that things are going, like just happen, but I don't know if they just do, right?
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: They don't just happen.
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: My ad mentioned earlier that my first job, funny enough, was at LX.
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: How did that happen?
- 23:50SPEAKER_02: You know, somebody told us, hey, you know what?
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: There is a place where they need security agents.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: If you were interested, I say, Yeah, I can't take anything.
- 23:58SPEAKER_02: So I go with my roommate at the time, and we are at that office waiting to for the interview.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: And another the man who owned the company came out with another piece.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: Oh, this man is from Cameroon too.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: And we start talking.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: My roommate was from Cameroon too.
- 24:13SPEAKER_02: And for some reason, he told me.
- 24:15SPEAKER_02: He said, Once your uh work permit is out, call me.
- 24:19SPEAKER_02: I have some connections at the airport.
- 24:21SPEAKER_02: You you will apply there and let's see what happens.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: We'll have told both of us, but he told me.
- 24:26SPEAKER_02: He didn't know me.
- 24:27SPEAKER_02: That was the first and last time that I saw him.
- 24:29SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: First and last time.
- 24:31SPEAKER_02: I have never seen him after that.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: Sometimes we message each other to say hi, but that's it.
- 24:35SPEAKER_02: So that's how I started working at LAX.
- 24:39SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 24:40SPEAKER_02: And I remember when I started working, I had shut down that memory so, you know, so much that I couldn't even remember what has happened.
- 24:47SPEAKER_02: So I started working at LX like nothing until probably six months in, I was called to process an arrival flight.
- 24:57SPEAKER_02: And I go there at the arrival level, helping passengers get their bags and everything.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: And that hit me.
- 25:04SPEAKER_02: Because I see those passengers picking up their bags, exiting the airport, and that hit me that I arrived at the same airport, but I never had a chance to exit like a passenger.
- 25:16SPEAKER_02: And at that moment, I said, I have to exit this airport as a passenger just to know what it feels like.
- 25:23SPEAKER_02: So when I finished with the passengers, I could have gone back, you know, through the same way.
- 25:28SPEAKER_02: When you walk at the airport, you don't need to exit the airport to come back.
- 25:30SPEAKER_02: It will have shortcuts inside.
- 25:32SPEAKER_02: I said, no, I'm not going to take the shortcut back to the office.
- 25:35SPEAKER_02: I'm going to exit as a passenger just to have that experience that I didn't have.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 25:41SPEAKER_02: So as I'm walking out with, you know, other passengers exiting, I arrived at the exit and I see all those people standing there, some of them with messages, some of them with flowers, some of them waving at their family members, friends, and everything.
- 25:55SPEAKER_02: And I had tears in my eyes because I said, I didn't have this.
- 25:59SPEAKER_02: Nobody was happy to see me here when I came.
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 26:03SPEAKER_02: I just had the experience, like feeling, okay, this is what it feels like to be welcomed in this country, right?
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: And I went back to the office again.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: I wasn't still at the place where I could share that.
- 26:15SPEAKER_02: So nobody knew what happened.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: So I just went there with that experience for myself.
- 26:21SPEAKER_02: That I finally know what it feels like to exit with the handcuffs and everything.
- 26:25SPEAKER_02: So I worked at LAX for almost two years, I think two years.
- 26:30SPEAKER_02: And again, things happened really fast because in less than a year I became a manager, which again has never happened.
- 26:36SPEAKER_02: And remember, I started working there.
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: It was really not my English wasn't still there.
- 26:41SPEAKER_02: And uh I got the job because it was a French airline.
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: So it was good that I could speak French, I could help passengers.
- 26:47SPEAKER_02: So that's why, you know, I had that opportunity and you know, performed well enough to have the promotion in less than a year become the manager.
- 26:57SPEAKER_02: So when I decided to quit to go full-time, you know, in my business, it made zero sense because I wanted to be a coach, I wanted to help people, you know, I had that in me.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: And again, when I was coming here, nothing wrong with you know being an employee, but that was in my my vision, right?
- 27:18SPEAKER_02: I have always been an entrepreneur, and I knew that I wanted to come here to have a bigger platform to share my message, right?
- 27:27SPEAKER_02: So it wasn't part of the plan to stop, you know, in a play workplace and just climb the ladder.
- 27:33SPEAKER_02: I knew it was a stepping stone, I needed that, right?
- 27:37SPEAKER_02: But I felt that it was time for me to leave, and it was the scariest decision ever.
- 27:43SPEAKER_02: Because even though I knew sometimes you know what to do, but it doesn't mean it's easy to do it, right?
- 27:50SPEAKER_02: And it was really scary for me to make that decision because again, I have nobody.
- 27:55SPEAKER_02: It's not like okay, if I quit my job and I go do this entrepreneurship thing, it doesn't work, I'm going to go back to my mom's basement.
- 28:04SPEAKER_02: Um, no, I don't have that, okay?
- 28:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'm all by myself here, and everybody's proud of me, right?
- 28:11SPEAKER_02: I made it, I have a good job, I'm a manager, and all of the things.
- 28:15SPEAKER_02: Even the friends that I made here, you know, the community, Cameroon community, is you know, everybody is telling you that you're doing great.
- 28:23SPEAKER_02: There is no reason for you to let that go.
- 28:25SPEAKER_02: And at that moment again, you feel that pressure of society, of the environment, to do something because everybody thinks that where you should be, you should be grateful actually, even to be there, because you have it really, really good for somebody who just came, right?
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: So that pressure was there.
- 28:41SPEAKER_02: Even at work, you know, when I mentioned to my colleagues, you know what?
- 28:45SPEAKER_02: I think um I need to go focus on my business.
- 28:48SPEAKER_02: And I had zero clients at the time, I just was learning how to build a coaching business, had no money coming in, so again, it made zero sense to just quit.
- 28:56SPEAKER_02: So I said, I feel like I need to quit.
- 28:58SPEAKER_02: And they said, What are you talking about?
- 29:00SPEAKER_02: You can't do it on the side, whatever.
- 29:01SPEAKER_02: And I said, I just feel like I need to go full time.
- 29:04SPEAKER_02: And they say, This is insane.
- 29:06SPEAKER_02: Don't even think about it, forget it.
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: So finally, one day I went to my direct manager and I said, You know what?
- 29:14SPEAKER_02: I need to quit.
- 29:15SPEAKER_02: And he said, Why?
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: What happened?
- 29:16SPEAKER_02: So I explained to him, you know, I want to focus on my business.
- 29:19SPEAKER_02: I'm trying to build this business.
- 29:21SPEAKER_02: He listened, and he said, You know what?
- 29:22SPEAKER_02: You're not quitting, you figure it out.
- 29:24SPEAKER_02: You're a manager, you can work your hours what the way you want.
- 29:27SPEAKER_02: I don't care.
- 29:28SPEAKER_02: You make it work both, but you stay, you know, going.
- 29:31SPEAKER_02: End of the conversation.
- 29:33SPEAKER_02: So for a minute, my brain felt safe.
- 29:37SPEAKER_02: That okay, at least I tried, okay.
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: And me, okay.
- 29:42SPEAKER_02: I listened to the guidance of trying to quit.
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: We listened, and he said, No, what am I going to do?
- 29:48SPEAKER_02: I sat on that safety zone for a minute, and then I knew, okay, you stop this.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: You know what you are doing right now, just stop it.
- 29:57SPEAKER_02: You need to leave.
- 29:58SPEAKER_02: And I remember one day I was sitting in my previous apartment and I was starting asking to what is wrong with you, Christelle?
- 30:04SPEAKER_02: Why can't you just be satisfied with where you are right now?
- 30:08SPEAKER_02: Listen, you have it really, really good.
- 30:10SPEAKER_02: Many people come here and they don't have it that good that fast.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: So, what is your problem?
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: And then I just say, I don't, I cannot explain why I'm doing this, but I just know I have to do this.
- 30:24SPEAKER_02: But and again, your brain comes, but you can you imagine what I'm going to do with no income?
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: You have an apartment to pay, you have bills, you you have all these things, and what are you going to tell your family?
- 30:36SPEAKER_02: What I going to what I'm doing?
- 30:39SPEAKER_02: And I started crying.
- 30:40SPEAKER_02: I cried so hard because I was torn asking, I have this desire, I know this is what I should be doing, but it's so scary.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: What if I'm wrong?
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: And sometimes we know our intuition is not wrong, but it doesn't make sense, right?
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: So it's scary to follow, it's really scary because you can't explain it and it doesn't make sense.
- 31:01SPEAKER_02: And most of all, you have no evidence that it's going to work.
- 31:06SPEAKER_02: Yes, and we our brain needs evidence so much, can live with that evidence, and that's why sometimes people run around looking for strategies.
- 31:18SPEAKER_02: I need a step-by-step process, I need to know how I'm going to do this.
- 31:22SPEAKER_02: And sometimes I say the craziest things like you don't need all of that, you don't need a step-by-step.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: Wait, what do you mean you need a strategy?
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: Yes, it's good to have one if you do, but it's not a need because guess what?
- 31:33SPEAKER_02: Sometimes plans fail.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: I know that more than anyone else.
- 31:37SPEAKER_02: Okay, sometimes your strategy might work for someone else and not for you, because you have your own journey, you're on your own path.
- 31:46SPEAKER_02: The strategy that worked for your neighbor worked for them because it was part of their process.
- 31:52SPEAKER_02: Is it part of your process?
- 31:54SPEAKER_02: That's what you need to assess.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 31:56SPEAKER_02: What are you feeling called to do?
- 31:58SPEAKER_02: Instead of getting your head and finding something safe that you can hang on to or have a plan, okay, have a step-by-step process, should be fine.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: There is never a guarantee.
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: There is always a risk, there is always a chance you're taking.
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: And the earlier you make that peace with yourself, knowing that I am never going to know for sure what is going to happen tomorrow, as scary as it is, it gives you more freedom to move.
- 32:24SPEAKER_02: Because you just trust that if I'm led to do this, if I'm led to go there, whatever happens, everything is going to be alright.
- 32:33SPEAKER_02: Some way, somehow.
- 32:35SPEAKER_02: So after I finished crying that day and freaking out my brain so much, I'm going to do this.
- 32:43SPEAKER_02: I made the decision.
- 32:44SPEAKER_02: So finally I said, okay, if I go back to him, he's not going to let me go.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: He told me no already.
- 32:50SPEAKER_02: So now I'm going to do what I know in companies, you know, they cannot ignore.
- 32:55SPEAKER_02: I'm going to send an email.
- 33:00SPEAKER_02: Now this official, nobody's going to ignore it and just like you go forget it, go back to work.
- 33:04SPEAKER_02: No, that's not going to happen.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: So I remember as I was writing that email in the office, whether one of my supervisors was, she's like, please, Christ said, don't do this.
- 33:12SPEAKER_02: Please, please, please.
- 33:13SPEAKER_02: I said, I have to.
- 33:14SPEAKER_02: I know this is crazy.
- 33:16SPEAKER_02: I feel crazy, but I do.
- 33:17SPEAKER_02: I'm doing it.
- 33:18SPEAKER_02: Sent her the email.
- 33:19SPEAKER_02: She called me in her office to try to talk me out of it.
- 33:22SPEAKER_02: And she said, okay, but I respect what you decide.
- 33:25SPEAKER_02: That was October 2019.
- 33:27SPEAKER_02: And she said, you know what?
- 33:29SPEAKER_02: Let's do this.
- 33:30SPEAKER_02: Let's make a deal.
- 33:31SPEAKER_02: What if I give you like three months a leave of absence for you to go, you know, set up your business and everything?
- 33:39SPEAKER_02: And you come back.
- 33:41SPEAKER_02: I felt bad.
- 33:42SPEAKER_02: The people pleaser in me, you know, took over and be like, yeah, she's trying to be nice.
- 33:48SPEAKER_02: She's trying to be supportive.
- 33:50SPEAKER_02: I can't disappoint her.
- 33:51SPEAKER_02: I can't let her down.
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: I'm sure we can relate to that.
- 33:54SPEAKER_02: You know, all of us have that people pleaser in us that wants people to feel good, wants people to like us, wants people to not feel like, oh, we don't care about them.
- 34:04SPEAKER_02: So I said, okay, I took the deal.
- 34:06SPEAKER_02: Even though I knew I didn't, I wasn't coming back.
- 34:08SPEAKER_02: But I was like, okay, let me do this.
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: So I said, yes, I'm going to take the three months' leave of absence.
- 34:15SPEAKER_02: That was in 2019.
- 34:17SPEAKER_02: So I had to go back January 2020.
- 34:22SPEAKER_02: And we entered 2020.
- 34:25SPEAKER_02: My time is up.
- 34:26SPEAKER_02: I have to make a decision.
- 34:27SPEAKER_02: Do I go back to work or and at the time still zero clients?
- 34:30SPEAKER_02: So the three months, I was okay, let me make sure I make some money.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: I start having clients that way, at least my paycheck will be gone, but I will have money coming in.
- 34:41SPEAKER_02: Zero clients.
- 34:43SPEAKER_02: So now the safe thing to do, the safest decision to make should be to go back to work, right?
- 34:48SPEAKER_02: To my paycheck.
- 34:49SPEAKER_02: I need to pay my rent.
- 34:51SPEAKER_02: And again, I know I can't go back.
- 34:53SPEAKER_02: And then I said, you know what?
- 34:55SPEAKER_02: Let me just tell her.
- 34:56SPEAKER_02: I sent her the email, listen, thank you for the opportunity.
- 34:58SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 34:58SPEAKER_02: I really appreciate you, but I'm not coming back.
- 35:01SPEAKER_02: And I was writing the email crying, like you still, you're not doing this, are you?
- 35:06SPEAKER_02: And I did.
- 35:07SPEAKER_02: So she said, okay, I'll take it.
- 35:09SPEAKER_02: And you know, whenever you want to come back, come back.
- 35:11SPEAKER_02: So okay, you feel better.
- 35:13SPEAKER_02: We can go back whenever.
- 35:14SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 35:14SPEAKER_02: Take a deep breath.
- 35:16SPEAKER_02: And sure enough, after I was like, okay, now that's it.
- 35:19SPEAKER_02: I'm out.
- 35:20SPEAKER_02: Now what?
- 35:21SPEAKER_02: The last paycheck will not be enough.
- 35:23SPEAKER_02: Now what?
- 35:24SPEAKER_02: Sure enough, the same week I landed my first client.
- 35:28SPEAKER_02: That's why I can say over and over again, it's going to be all right.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: Always.
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: Anytime you trust yourself enough to make those bold decisions, led by your intuition, not by your ego, not by you trying to do what everyone else is doing.
- 35:45SPEAKER_02: But when you know within yourself, when you have that connection with yourself and know this is my next move, even when it doesn't make sense and you trust that it's going to be all right.
- 35:55SPEAKER_02: Always.
- 35:57SPEAKER_02: Because the energy, the spirit that is leading you there knows.
- 36:02SPEAKER_02: And it's not against you, it's not your enemy.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: It's the highest part of you that knows better.
- 36:08SPEAKER_02: It's just leading you to the direction that you came here to take, right?
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: So just trust.
- 36:13SPEAKER_02: Whenever you trust that, sometimes it's scary because it doesn't have to explain to you, give you a step-by-step process, give you all the things that you need to feel safe.
- 36:22SPEAKER_02: But you're just called to trust yourself, trust what you know, trust the direction that you're receiving from within yourself.
- 36:32SPEAKER_02: And anytime you do that, it's going to be all right.
- 36:35SPEAKER_02: So that's how it all started.
- 36:36SPEAKER_02: And yeah, here I am.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: I mean, I can so relate to that just because, and I see it with everyone I work with too.
- 36:42SPEAKER_00: It's like once you really go all in, the universe shows up to meet you every time.
- 36:49SPEAKER_00: And when you listen to what you know to be true, not out of fear and like not needing a plan.
- 36:55SPEAKER_00: Because I feel like you're right, everyone wants that evidence.
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: I feel like a lot of my clients that I'm like helping move through like serious trauma are like, well, I just need to know I'm gonna come out on the other side, or I just need to know like, how long do you think it's gonna take?
- 37:10SPEAKER_00: You know, and it's like you can't know that.
- 37:14SPEAKER_00: You just have to trust.
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: You're describing like one of the biggest trust falls I think I've ever heard about in my entire life.
- 37:23SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we need that.
- 37:25SPEAKER_02: Our brain is wired to keep us safe.
- 37:28SPEAKER_02: So that's why for our brain, it wants something that guarantees that we're safe, right?
- 37:34SPEAKER_02: And it's okay, that's what our brain is supposed to do, so it's fine to do that, and it's also okay for you to choose to trust, as scary as it can be.
- 37:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: So, what has it been like for you just being in this country?
- 37:51SPEAKER_00: And can you speak a little bit to your experience of like, I mean, I'm sure there's things you like and don't like, but just your experience with being in the United States and what are your thoughts on that?
- 38:03SPEAKER_02: I'm excited every day to be here because I chose to be here, and I was right to choose to be here because I mean, I was right to listen to the guidance to come here, you know, at this specific time.
- 38:15SPEAKER_02: For a long time, I didn't believe that I could leave my country and go live elsewhere.
- 38:19SPEAKER_02: I didn't have that desire.
- 38:21SPEAKER_02: And for some reason, the moment I decided I wanted to do that, this is the country that I chose.
- 38:25SPEAKER_02: And I'm glad I did, because there is a lot of things, you know, that we can sit here and complain about, point fingers about.
- 38:36SPEAKER_02: But for me, all of those things are opportunities for me to grow.
- 38:39SPEAKER_02: There are so many things that I have never experienced if I wasn't here.
- 38:43SPEAKER_02: And when I say experience, it's not only the things happening, but also the growth, personal growth with my emotions, with my, you know, spiritual path.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: I'm able to be where I am today because of all the things that I experienced in this country that I was never even aware existed when I was in Cameroon.
- 39:03SPEAKER_02: One of them is, for example, racism.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: You know, I knew the concept, you know, some way somehow experience it in a certain degree.
- 39:11SPEAKER_02: We have officially colonialism is over, but it is not.
- 39:15SPEAKER_02: Okay, we know that they are still in Africa, whatever.
- 39:18SPEAKER_02: So we still have those little things, but we're not a minority.
- 39:22SPEAKER_02: So I never felt things the way I feel them here.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: You know, I was a black woman in one in the middle of a black community in a black country, so I never felt like a man.
- 39:33SPEAKER_02: I wasn't a minority.
- 39:34SPEAKER_02: You know, I never experienced things this way I'm experiencing now.
- 39:39SPEAKER_02: And I'm so grateful that I'm having this experience because I have processed so much emotion that I could have never processed if I didn't have these experiences.
- 39:50SPEAKER_02: I have rewired my brain in a way that allows me to look at things and smile instead of being hurt.
- 39:58SPEAKER_02: I have done that work to really always own how I feel and not make anybody responsible of how I feel, which means I took back my power.
- 40:09SPEAKER_02: And that's one thing that our world doesn't teach us how to do.
- 40:13SPEAKER_02: The world we live in, and now more than ever, we see it.
- 40:16SPEAKER_02: It's teaching us how to identify who's wrong, who is right, teaches us how to identify what is not working properly, what should things should be.
- 40:27SPEAKER_02: We are so wired to see those things that that's all we see.
- 40:31SPEAKER_02: And that doesn't mean those things don't exist.
- 40:33SPEAKER_02: That's not my what I'm saying.
- 40:35SPEAKER_02: What I'm saying is when we see those things, what do we do with that information?
- 40:41SPEAKER_02: That's what matters.
- 40:42SPEAKER_02: And that's a journey that I could, I don't think I would have, you know, had if I wasn't in this country.
- 40:48SPEAKER_02: That's why I'm so excited to be here.
- 40:50SPEAKER_02: Because I am able to stay in my power.
- 40:54SPEAKER_02: And when I feel like I'm not, I know what to do to come back to that place where none of the things that I see that I was wired to see and label and judge and point fingers at, I don't have the need to do those things.
- 41:08SPEAKER_02: I don't feel the desire even to do those things because I know most of them are distractions.
- 41:14SPEAKER_02: That's not really what matters.
- 41:16SPEAKER_02: That's not what I'm here for.
- 41:18SPEAKER_02: And other things are there to show me what is within me.
- 41:22SPEAKER_02: Because if I see something that frustrates me, the frustration is within me.
- 41:27SPEAKER_02: It's not in the thing.
- 41:29SPEAKER_02: And that's for me is really being in my power.
- 41:32SPEAKER_02: Because things might never change and I'm okay with it.
- 41:35SPEAKER_02: Things might stay exactly the way they are being get worse, and I'm okay with it.
- 41:39SPEAKER_02: Why?
- 41:40SPEAKER_02: Because I know how I can stay in my peace in the midst of all of that.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: I know how I can still be in control of my own life regardless of all of that.
- 41:49SPEAKER_02: And that's a journey that requires you to look in the mirror every minute of every day.
- 41:55SPEAKER_02: But we are not trained to look in the mirror.
- 41:57SPEAKER_02: We are trained to look for the people responsible for how we feel, of why things are not working the way they should.
- 42:04SPEAKER_02: And that person to me is the person in the mirror.
- 42:07SPEAKER_02: It's the only person for me that can make things feel better, look better, be better for me.
- 42:15SPEAKER_02: Because we live in a common world.
- 42:17SPEAKER_02: We can think, yeah, but the system, you know, I'm in the system, so I feel the effect of the system.
- 42:23SPEAKER_02: That is true.
- 42:24SPEAKER_02: The system, you're part of it.
- 42:25SPEAKER_02: But we have our own reality that we can create in the system.
- 42:29SPEAKER_02: We are part of the same ecosystem.
- 42:31SPEAKER_02: Like, for example, I was talking with my sister the other day, and I was telling her, giving her this example.
- 42:36SPEAKER_02: I said, look, we live in the same world and different worlds at the same time.
- 42:42SPEAKER_02: Simple examples.
- 42:44SPEAKER_02: The same planet where some people cannot have food.
- 42:47SPEAKER_02: Some people have so much food they don't know what to do with it.
- 42:50SPEAKER_02: That's just different people with different realities on the same world.
- 42:55SPEAKER_02: Why can't we create that reality for ourselves and not expect the world to change for us to have what we want?
- 43:01SPEAKER_02: Because the people who have food and they don't know what to do with it live in the exact same world than the people who don't have food.
- 43:10SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 43:11SPEAKER_02: Maybe the same systems, but they just use those systems and express themselves in the world in a different way.
- 43:17SPEAKER_02: Not accusing, again, I'm not in that game of who is right, who is wrong, who's doing what, who should do what?
- 43:23SPEAKER_02: Because I've learned to look at things differently in a powerful way.
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: Because I believe that we as human beings, we are so powerful that we don't even see it.
- 43:31SPEAKER_02: That's why we give away our power to those things that are outside.
- 43:35SPEAKER_02: Oh, this is happening because of this.
- 43:37SPEAKER_02: You are giving away your power to that thing.
- 43:40SPEAKER_02: Doesn't mean the thing is not there, it is there.
- 43:43SPEAKER_02: But why are you letting it affect your reality?
- 43:47SPEAKER_02: That's the power you can take back.
- 43:49SPEAKER_02: Because the energy we spend to try to fix things in order for us to feel a certain way, for me, it's a waste of time and it's a distraction.
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: Because the journey is when something Feels off, the feeling is in you.
- 44:03SPEAKER_02: So you focus on that feeling and you take back your power to the point where you can look at the same thing and not feel off.
- 44:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 44:10SPEAKER_02: That's your power.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: A hundred percent.
- 44:12SPEAKER_00: I could it's so funny that you're talking about this because I just sent out an email this morning talking about similar stuff, right?
- 44:19SPEAKER_00: Because I've been getting this really strong message about how, like, literally the only work that we can do is the inner work.
- 44:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, there's really nothing else to do, you know, and it is the only way to take our power back.
- 44:31SPEAKER_00: And we are more powerful than we even understand.
- 44:35SPEAKER_00: And all of that has kind of been coming through to me in the last 24 hours.
- 44:40SPEAKER_00: So it's interesting that you're talking about this right now, but I'm curious to know too, how does all of this show up in your work with clients?
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: What is the crux of your work with clients and how does that look?
- 44:52SPEAKER_02: Yes, for me, I really love to take clients on a journey of taking ownership of their life in this situation, right?
- 45:00SPEAKER_02: So when a client comes, usually they are entrepreneurs who want no they need to do something to move forward and they are just afraid.
- 45:09SPEAKER_02: I love to really use courage because it takes courage, even the inner work we are talking about is really courage.
- 45:15SPEAKER_02: Because it's not fun, it can be painful.
- 45:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah, right?
- 45:19SPEAKER_02: It can be really painful, and I know that firsthand.
- 45:22SPEAKER_02: So I know it takes courage to go face your deepest fears.
- 45:26SPEAKER_02: And one of one of the biggest fears that we don't really realize we have is the fear of our own power.
- 45:32SPEAKER_02: So the journey that I love to take my clients to is the journey of learning how to face their fears and feeling safe in that journey.
- 45:40SPEAKER_02: Because what we're trying to create, as you know, usually they are entrepreneurs, maybe they want to achieve a certain goal.
- 45:48SPEAKER_02: The only thing that is really between them and that goal is usually fear.
- 45:52SPEAKER_02: Fear to listen to the guidance that is within themselves.
- 45:56SPEAKER_02: And fear of, you know, taking full ownership, not expecting things to change in order for them to get the result that they want.
- 46:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, I wish my partner was more supportive.
- 46:07SPEAKER_02: So now your power is in your hand in the hand of your partner.
- 46:11SPEAKER_02: Because until that partner decides to become supportive, you never have the life you want, right?
- 46:16SPEAKER_02: Right now we take a different journey.
- 46:19SPEAKER_02: What if my partner never supports me?
- 46:22SPEAKER_02: What does that mean?
- 46:24SPEAKER_02: So, first of all, you want to feel how you feel about the fact that that's just an example, right?
- 46:29SPEAKER_02: Can be anything.
- 46:30SPEAKER_02: Oh, I wish I had more money.
- 46:32SPEAKER_02: Oh, I wish I had, you know, the courage to show up online and do Facebook Live.
- 46:36SPEAKER_02: So I do it to let people know.
- 46:38SPEAKER_02: I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish, I wish.
- 46:40SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 46:41SPEAKER_02: All the things we think we don't have and that we need.
- 46:43SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 46:44SPEAKER_02: First, how do you feel about that?
- 46:47SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 46:48SPEAKER_02: That's one thing that again our world doesn't teach us how to do.
- 46:52SPEAKER_02: Feel our emotions.
- 46:54SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: Emotions are considered as a weakness, but emotions are the biggest messenger of our lives.
- 47:02SPEAKER_02: How you feel will tell you where you are, will tell you what you believe about yourself.
- 47:07SPEAKER_02: And let's remember the journey really is to remember who we are in everything.
- 47:12SPEAKER_02: And I think entrepreneurship is really the biggest path to get to go there because you express you feel so much emotions between rejection and shame and all the things.
- 47:24SPEAKER_02: You feel so much when you are in that journey that I think it's really a powerful path to go back home within.
- 47:31SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 47:32SPEAKER_02: That's one of the things that I teach them how to do.
- 47:34SPEAKER_02: Feel their emotions.
- 47:36SPEAKER_02: Last time my clan was one of my clients was telling me, I don't know how to feel anything.
- 47:41SPEAKER_02: I was, I try so hard to just keep pushing.
- 47:44SPEAKER_02: I don't remember how to.
- 47:46SPEAKER_02: I said, you need to go back and you to feel.
- 47:49SPEAKER_02: Not that you don't know how to feel, you just shut it down.
- 47:53SPEAKER_02: You just don't want to acknowledge that the emotion is there, but it's there.
- 47:57SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 47:57SPEAKER_02: So have the courage again, it's a journey of courage.
- 48:01SPEAKER_02: Yes, it can be scary.
- 48:03SPEAKER_02: What if I cry and people think I'm weak?
- 48:05SPEAKER_02: Yes, have the courage to do that and have the courage to face the fact that people might laugh and call you names and say you're weak or whatever.
- 48:15SPEAKER_02: Have the courage to feel how you feel.
- 48:18SPEAKER_02: Because one thing with emotions, it really lets us know what is happening within ourselves.
- 48:22SPEAKER_02: But one sometime when we have the emotion, we make we make it about whatever made us feel the emotion.
- 48:27SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 48:28SPEAKER_02: It's like there is this analogy that people sometimes make.
- 48:31SPEAKER_02: When you have a cup of coffee, you're holding your cup of coffee, and somebody passes by and you know, maybe stumble on you, the coffee spread on your white shirt.
- 48:41SPEAKER_02: You are mad at the person.
- 48:43SPEAKER_02: What were you thinking?
- 48:44SPEAKER_02: You know, didn't see me.
- 48:45SPEAKER_02: I was standing right here.
- 48:46SPEAKER_02: Now you you messed up my white shirt.
- 48:49SPEAKER_02: But did that person really mess up your white shirt?
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: Or is the coffee in your cup of coffee that messed up your white shirt?
- 48:55SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: Because if you had water, your white t-shirt will just be wet, and that's it.
- 49:00SPEAKER_02: It will not be messed up, right?
- 49:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but because it wasn't water, it was coffee, now you have a big stain, not just a white shirt.
- 49:08SPEAKER_02: So it's what is within you that matters.
- 49:12SPEAKER_02: If it's coffee, it's gonna leave a big stain on a white shirt.
- 49:15SPEAKER_02: If it's water, it's just going to be wet, and you give it a few minutes for it to get dry.
- 49:20SPEAKER_02: So the problem is not the person who came and didn't see you and whatever happened.
- 49:26SPEAKER_02: The problem is what you have in your cup.
- 49:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so that's really the journey I take my clients to take back ownership of how they feel.
- 49:35SPEAKER_02: Feel those feelings without judgment.
- 49:38SPEAKER_02: It's okay to feel the way you feel and don't try to rationalize because emotions are not rational.
- 49:44SPEAKER_02: Sometimes we we always want things to make sense.
- 49:46SPEAKER_02: Why do I feel this way?
- 49:47SPEAKER_02: It doesn't matter.
- 49:48SPEAKER_02: You feel that way.
- 49:49SPEAKER_02: You you always want that.
- 49:50SPEAKER_02: Why, why do I why do it doesn't matter?
- 49:53SPEAKER_02: Or you rationalize it, right?
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: This is something I see with people all the time.
- 49:57SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um, I feel this way because yeah, or it's like, well, I feel this way, but I shouldn't feel this way about my mom because she really did the best that she could.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: I'm like, it doesn't matter that she did the best.
- 50:06SPEAKER_02: Don't rationalize it, just feel it.
- 50:09SPEAKER_02: Feel it and let it out.
- 50:11SPEAKER_02: Let it out.
- 50:13SPEAKER_02: Whatever that looks like for you.
- 50:14SPEAKER_02: Maybe it can be through journaling, maybe it can be through meditation, it can be through screaming in the woods, can be punching your pillow.
- 50:23SPEAKER_02: Let it out and be okay to let it out.
- 50:26SPEAKER_02: Now, the other thing with fear, that's because for me it's a it's a big thing.
- 50:31SPEAKER_02: We are so afraid of ourselves, of our power.
- 50:34SPEAKER_02: We think we are afraid of things outside, but actually we know deep down that we are so powerful that we even is it okay for me to be this powerful?
- 50:43SPEAKER_02: Is it even okay for me to be able to do this much?
- 50:45SPEAKER_02: So we have that fear going on.
- 50:48SPEAKER_02: So, fear, I want I love to remind my clients that fear is the language of love that your brain has.
- 50:55SPEAKER_02: The only language of love that your brain knows.
- 50:57SPEAKER_02: Love language.
- 50:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, your brain is wired to keep you safe.
- 51:02SPEAKER_02: That's love, right?
- 51:03SPEAKER_02: You want to protect the people you love.
- 51:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's what your brain does, that's its job.
- 51:09SPEAKER_02: So every time you have an experience, and we have a long life.
- 51:12SPEAKER_02: We start babies, we grow up, we have things happening.
- 51:15SPEAKER_02: And every time we have things happening, sometimes we are hurt, sometimes we're in pain, sometimes we're happy.
- 51:20SPEAKER_02: Every time we have those experiences throughout our life, our brain is recording those moments in terms of stories.
- 51:28SPEAKER_02: And those stories are stored in our subconscious mind for us to use them whenever we need them.
- 51:33SPEAKER_02: So if your brain has a memory of you trying something when you were a child and you fell and you hurt yourself and your parents yelled at you, why were you doing that in the first place?
- 51:43SPEAKER_02: Now your brain has a story of when we try something new, we get in trouble, we get hurt, we are in, we get wounded.
- 51:51SPEAKER_02: Okay, let's make sure we remember that for next time.
- 51:54SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 51:54SPEAKER_02: It's thought we forget in a conscious level, we forget about the experience.
- 51:58SPEAKER_02: We grow up, we have life going on.
- 52:00SPEAKER_02: But in the subconscious mind, is there's thought new experience, equal pain, hurt, getting in trouble.
- 52:07SPEAKER_02: So we have that in store.
- 52:09SPEAKER_02: Now, here we are.
- 52:10SPEAKER_02: Maybe we are we want to start a business.
- 52:13SPEAKER_02: Now the brain is like, okay, okay, okay, calm down.
- 52:17SPEAKER_02: We know what happens when we want to do something new, don't we?
- 52:21SPEAKER_02: But the brain is not going to remind you of that experience specifically, just going to tell you don't do it.
- 52:27SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 52:27SPEAKER_02: It is not safe.
- 52:28SPEAKER_02: What are you thinking?
- 52:30SPEAKER_02: What if this happens?
- 52:31SPEAKER_02: What if you fail?
- 52:32SPEAKER_02: Imagine the pain if you fail.
- 52:34SPEAKER_02: Imagine the shame and embarrassment if you do this.
- 52:37SPEAKER_02: Imagine, imagine, imagine.
- 52:40SPEAKER_02: Because it wants to keep you safe.
- 52:42SPEAKER_02: So remember that every time you experience fear, remember that fear is not your enemy.
- 52:48SPEAKER_02: It's not there to crush your plans, it's not there to destroy you, it's not there to keep you stuck.
- 52:53SPEAKER_02: It's there to keep you safe.
- 52:55SPEAKER_02: And good, thank goodness we have fear because sometimes if we didn't have fear, we probably should be crossing the street without looking left and right.
- 53:04SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 53:04SPEAKER_02: So thank God we have fear, right?
- 53:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 53:06SPEAKER_02: So once you realize you change that relationship with fear, now you can have conversations.
- 53:13SPEAKER_02: That's something else that I change my clients.
- 53:15SPEAKER_02: How you have conversations with your best friend called fear, right?
- 53:21SPEAKER_02: You have conversations.
- 53:23SPEAKER_02: When you have an argument with somebody, I hope you don't, but if you do, or if you have ever witnessed an argument, when people yell at each other, it's like it's never ending.
- 53:32SPEAKER_02: It's keep going up and up and up until it explodes, right?
- 53:36SPEAKER_02: But if during the argument, one of the persons stops talking and start listening to the other one.
- 53:43SPEAKER_02: Like listening, not stop and ignore them, but stop and start listening.
- 53:47SPEAKER_02: What happens?
- 53:48SPEAKER_02: The other person can keep talking for a few minutes, but eventually they will run out of argument.
- 53:53SPEAKER_02: Why?
- 53:54SPEAKER_02: Because you are not feeding into their arguments, so they run out of arguments, right?
- 53:58SPEAKER_02: And they would they will have no other option than calm down, right?
- 54:02SPEAKER_02: Because you're not talking, so they have nothing else to go of.
- 54:05SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 54:05SPEAKER_02: They calm down.
- 54:07SPEAKER_02: Now, if you say this, I heard you, I completely understand where you're coming from, and what you said makes sense.
- 54:14SPEAKER_02: What happens now?
- 54:16SPEAKER_02: That person doesn't feel the need to fight you again, right?
- 54:19SPEAKER_02: Because that person feels hurt, and that person feels like okay, that you understand where I'm coming from.
- 54:26SPEAKER_02: So now we are kind of on the same page.
- 54:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, now that we are on the same page, we can talk.
- 54:32SPEAKER_02: What can we do?
- 54:33SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 54:34SPEAKER_02: Do the same thing with your fear, because again, whatever story your brain is telling you is not a lie.
- 54:40SPEAKER_02: I know people say fear is a liar, but the truth is when your brain is telling you, Oh, well, what if you lose your money?
- 54:48SPEAKER_02: Is it a possibility?
- 54:49SPEAKER_02: Yeah, is it possible for you to lose that money?
- 54:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's a possibility.
- 54:53SPEAKER_02: So it's not a lie, it's a possibility.
- 54:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, what if you fail?
- 54:56SPEAKER_02: Is it a possibility for you to fail?
- 54:59SPEAKER_02: You can fail.
- 55:00SPEAKER_02: What if people make fun of you?
- 55:02SPEAKER_02: Can that happen for people to make fun of you?
- 55:05SPEAKER_02: So all those scenarios are possible, right?
- 55:08SPEAKER_02: They haven't happened yet, but it's a possibility.
- 55:11SPEAKER_02: So once you learn how to sit and listen, instead of fighting back, like so trying to suppress it and trying to come stronger, you sit and listen to that conversation happening in your head.
- 55:26SPEAKER_02: The same thing will happen at some point.
- 55:29SPEAKER_02: You when you once you listen with no judgment, there's nothing wrong or right being said, you're just listening.
- 55:35SPEAKER_02: Once you do, because you acknowledge, you remember first, you come from a place of knowing that your brain is just trying to keep you safe.
- 55:41SPEAKER_02: Okay, nothing wrong.
- 55:42SPEAKER_02: We you have no, you don't have an enemy in the house, so you will feel it, you will feel the voice to start calming down after running out of all the arguments, and then you agree, you're right.
- 55:54SPEAKER_02: All those things are possible because it's true, all those things are possible.
- 55:57SPEAKER_02: Can lose your money, can big for all those things can happen.
- 56:01SPEAKER_02: Yep, that's true.
- 56:03SPEAKER_02: All those things can happen, and you know what else can happen?
- 56:06SPEAKER_02: What if we try it and it worked well?
- 56:10SPEAKER_02: What would that look like?
- 56:11SPEAKER_02: What would that feel like?
- 56:12SPEAKER_02: Now you gave a new option because your brain was just giving you options.
- 56:16SPEAKER_02: This can happen, this can happen.
- 56:18SPEAKER_02: Okay, you're right, all those things can happen.
- 56:20SPEAKER_02: But now, what if this happens?
- 56:22SPEAKER_02: What if?
- 56:23SPEAKER_02: You know, none of this is guaranteed, but what if this happens?
- 56:26SPEAKER_02: Now your brain, because you felt like you're on the same page, you are in the same team.
- 56:31SPEAKER_02: Now you can talk about different possibilities.
- 56:34SPEAKER_02: It's easier now for your brain to shift the attention from the things that are so scary to the new possibilities that you are creating, which is the result that you want.
- 56:44SPEAKER_02: And now you can feel if you're an energy feeler, you can feel even the shift of energy in your body from maybe fear or anxiety to excitement.
- 56:52SPEAKER_02: Because now the new picture looks appealing, right?
- 56:56SPEAKER_02: Your brain that was creating all that tension in your body because it was focused on all those negative possibilities.
- 57:04SPEAKER_02: Now, because it's focusing on looking at something different, that energy will shift from that anxiety and you shaking whatever to the excitement of oh my gosh, what if that would be so cool, right?
- 57:17SPEAKER_02: And now from that place, it's easier for you to get your brain on board and say, What if we give it a try?
- 57:25SPEAKER_02: Yeah, what if we just give it a try?
- 57:27SPEAKER_02: You're not forcing your brain say it's gonna work, it's going to happen.
- 57:31SPEAKER_02: No, what if?
- 57:33SPEAKER_02: You know, let's just try.
- 57:34SPEAKER_02: Nothing hurts, you know.
- 57:35SPEAKER_02: You can't try, right?
- 57:36SPEAKER_02: Okay, now you are in a better place to take action, right?
- 57:40SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 57:41SPEAKER_02: So those are just little things that sometimes I share with my clients to make sure that they don't get stuck and they don't keep having those excuses, or I can't do this because of no, no, no.
- 57:52SPEAKER_02: Don't fight back your emotions first.
- 57:54SPEAKER_02: Feel them, listen, pay attention to what is trying to tell you, have those conversations with yourself.
- 58:00SPEAKER_02: Again, you notice all of that is happening within you.
- 58:03SPEAKER_02: You are not trying to fix anything outside of you, you're not trying to fix the conditions that seem looked adverse to you.
- 58:09SPEAKER_02: You are just working on yourself to make sure that whatever is happening outside, you are still in a position to keep moving in the direction that you want.
- 58:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love that.
- 58:20SPEAKER_00: I mean, it really is a journey of taking your power back and bringing all of the responsibility back to you and dealing with your emotions.
- 58:29SPEAKER_00: So, and I love how you framed that of like having that conversation with yourself where it's like instead of fighting yourself, you're just listening to yourself, which is probably what you needed all along, is somebody just to listen to you.
- 58:44SPEAKER_02: Yes, give that to yourself.
- 58:46SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 58:47SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 58:48SPEAKER_00: So I know we're running out of time here, but I feel like we could probably talk for a whole other hour, but we'll have to have you back on.
- 58:54SPEAKER_00: Um, but well, first of all, can you just let people know where they can find you?
- 58:58SPEAKER_00: Because I'm sure everyone's gonna want to look you up and see what you're up to after this.
- 59:03SPEAKER_02: Yes, you can find me if you're on social media.
- 59:06SPEAKER_02: Uh, my name on social media is the same everywhere: Crystal Bigger, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Crystal Bigger, same way.
- 59:13SPEAKER_02: And if you want, I have a free gift if that's okay with you.
- 59:17SPEAKER_02: I can share that with your audience as well.
- 59:19SPEAKER_00: Yes, yes, we'll link that below.
- 59:21SPEAKER_02: I can offer a free uh session, 30 minutes, a complimentary session that I love to call courage boost session, where you know we can assess where they are, what is keeping them stuck, and what is that fear that is preventing them from moving forward?
- 59:35SPEAKER_02: And then we can assess how to you know help them let it go and be able to take action.
- 59:40SPEAKER_02: So that's my gift for your audience.
- 59:44SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much.
- 59:44SPEAKER_00: I'm sure everyone will like to take you up on that.
- 59:48SPEAKER_00: Um, okay.
- 59:49SPEAKER_00: So our last, my last question for you before we wrap up is for you, what do you think is a non-negotiable and fully reclaiming your consciousness?
- 59:58SPEAKER_02: My non-negotiable is definitely to never believe that what is happening outside of you is the problem.
- 1:00:05SPEAKER_02: I always want to remember that it's me.
- 1:00:10SPEAKER_02: I am in control, I am in charge of how I feel, of how I see things, of how things are happening.
- 1:00:16SPEAKER_02: So that's my non-negotiable.
- 1:00:18SPEAKER_02: I don't want to share responsibility of my life with anyone else or anything else outside of me.
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_02: Always keep that in mind.
- 1:00:25SPEAKER_02: Yes, it's up to me how I feel.
- 1:00:28SPEAKER_02: And if I don't like it, the beauty in that is that if you are responsible, if you don't like how you feel, you can change it.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_02: 100%.
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_02: If I'm responsible, if I don't like the way things look, I can change them.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_02: If I'm responsible, I can do anything.
- 1:00:42SPEAKER_02: So that's my non-negotiable.
- 1:00:43SPEAKER_02: I don't even want anything else outside of me, be responsible of anything about me.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: I love that.
- 1:00:49SPEAKER_00: That's so, so like exactly in alignment with how I feel.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_00: So thank you so much for sharing that.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for being here.
- 1:00:57SPEAKER_00: This was like, I've been like fighting back tears the whole time.
- 1:01:02SPEAKER_00: It's just like so, just so powerful.
- 1:01:05SPEAKER_00: So thank you so much.
- 1:01:07SPEAKER_00: It was a pleasure to have you here, and I'm sure we will have you back again.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_02: Thank you so much for having me.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_02: It was so great to be here.
- 1:01:13SPEAKER_02: Thanks again.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
