- 3:27Speaker 4: Okay, so sorry, comes out tomorrow. Tomorrow.
- 3:30Speaker 3: Yeah, it's gonna be a big weekend. They say over
- 3:34Speaker 3: one hundred million dollars already. I'm sure because people have
- 3:37Speaker 3: already reserved their seats for it. I mean, summer people
- 3:40Speaker 3: are looking for something.
- 3:40Speaker 1: To do, right, There's a lot of hype going on
- 3:44Speaker 1: with last week there was a Section seven basketball tournament
- 3:48Speaker 1: in Mesa at that place that I don't they changed.
- 3:51Speaker 5: The name is on an athletic ground.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I used to be Legacy. Oh yeah, and there
- 3:54Speaker 1: was like there's some drama that happened. I've heard, I've
- 3:56Speaker 1: heard lit of thing, lots of little things that happened.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And then then this weekend it's the girls, right, the girls,
- 4:02Speaker 1: and you're gonna be there.
- 4:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I'll be there all week.
- 4:04Speaker 1: And I don't think we've talked about it. But you're not.
- 4:06Speaker 1: You're a head coach now right, I know.
- 4:08Speaker 5: It's just so weird.
- 4:10Speaker 4: So what's the latest to that? Who you head coach for?
- 4:12Speaker 4: And when are you playing?
- 4:13Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 4:13Speaker 5: Well, I am the head coach for our JV program now,
- 4:17Speaker 5: so I'm still at Basha High School. I'm still having
- 4:19Speaker 5: the same exact role that I'm having on the varsity end.
- 4:22Speaker 5: I just kind of, I guess, added a little bit
- 4:25Speaker 5: more to my plate taking over JV. I think it's
- 4:26Speaker 5: gonna be cool. I think it's gonna be really cool
- 4:28Speaker 5: to challenge myself. I would myself step out of They're good,
- 4:32Speaker 5: They're great. I mean, it's really fun. It's a good
- 4:34Speaker 5: group of girls. We just wrapped up our like summer
- 4:37Speaker 5: session essentially, and we went what we We went eight
- 4:41Speaker 5: and two the entire summer. I know, right, And I'm
- 4:43Speaker 5: such a sore loser though, Like I'm still mad because
- 4:46Speaker 5: I'm like, we should have won those two games. But
- 4:48Speaker 5: I was like impress a little bit. I was like
- 4:50Speaker 5: kind of proud of myself. I was proud of the girls.
- 4:52Speaker 5: But I'm really excited for Section seven this weekend because
- 4:55Speaker 5: we're in a really high bracket and it's can really
- 4:58Speaker 5: challenge our girls. But on top of that, we're gonna
- 5:00Speaker 5: have so many college coaches with all eyes on us
- 5:02Speaker 5: because we're playing that high of caliber teams from out
- 5:05Speaker 5: of state.
- 5:05Speaker 1: So like you when you prep now as a head coach?
- 5:10Speaker 1: Does that take a lot of time? Do you have
- 5:12Speaker 1: an assistant helping you? Or is it just you?
- 5:14Speaker 5: It's it's just me for now. But everyone's kind of
- 5:16Speaker 5: hands on, you know what I mean, Like we all
- 5:18Speaker 5: help each other. We're really close knit. Great, they're running it,
- 5:21Speaker 5: but I mean, yeah.
- 5:22Speaker 4: Are you intense as a coach?
- 5:23Speaker 5: Oh?
- 5:23Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 5:25Speaker 5: I was like, if you guys think I'm an intense
- 5:27Speaker 5: as a coach, you guys should imagine how I was
- 5:29Speaker 5: as a player, because it was ten times worse.
- 5:32Speaker 4: When did the game start tomorrow?
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 5:35Speaker 5: We play? Yeah, we play Bash of Plays tomorrow ten
- 5:38Speaker 5: thirty and three.
- 5:39Speaker 4: And are you playing teams from all over the country?
- 5:40Speaker 4: You're playing local teams all over the country.
- 5:42Speaker 5: We play our first game at ten thirty. We play
- 5:44Speaker 5: some team from Idaho Middleton, Idaho.
- 5:47Speaker 4: All right, now what you're playing you're talking about the varsity.
- 5:50Speaker 5: Right, Our varsity girls. Our JV girls won't be playing
- 5:53Speaker 5: in this tournament. But more fun stories to come when
- 5:56Speaker 5: season is in October. I'm excited.
- 5:58Speaker 1: So you're going to be the head coach when it starts,
- 5:59Speaker 1: start the season, Yeah, like the head coach for JB.
- 6:01Speaker 1: That's that's great, congratulations, thank you. What's coming up with
- 6:04Speaker 1: three things we need to know?
- 6:05Speaker 4: Peyton?
- 6:06Speaker 5: Lots of things coming up, But McDonald's is bringing back
- 6:09Speaker 5: one of the o G favorites that's old.
- 6:13Speaker 1: No, are you talking about the apple thing that's old
- 6:15Speaker 1: two weeks old?
- 6:18Speaker 5: I thought that this is news to me, So we're
- 6:20Speaker 5: not going to be talking about that. We're gonna talking
- 6:21Speaker 5: about some Devin Booker news though, because I know that
- 6:24Speaker 5: dropped yesterday.
- 6:24Speaker 3: That dropped yesterday, We know, you know there's no pie news.
- 6:29Speaker 3: It gets past me and John because that was like.
- 6:32Speaker 5: My favorite, like McDonald's bringing back the original.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Apple pie Apple.
- 6:38Speaker 5: Birthday and no idea it would just popped up on
- 6:41Speaker 5: my timeline.
- 6:41Speaker 3: The best part of the show this morning, No worries,
- 6:44Speaker 3: It's all there on my heart radio.
- 6:46Speaker 4: Peyton, what are three things we need to know?
- 6:47Speaker 5: SUNS fans are about to see a pretty big change
- 6:50Speaker 5: next season. Devin Booker is officially switching from number one
- 6:54Speaker 5: to number fifteen. This is the number that he wears
- 6:56Speaker 5: for Team USA and it's the same number that his dad,
- 6:59Speaker 5: Melvin in college at Missouri, So Devin Booker, he's more
- 7:03Speaker 5: number one for all eleven seasons in Phoenix, including his
- 7:06Speaker 5: seventy point game and the Sun's NBA Finals run. So
- 7:09Speaker 5: this is gonna be a new era for the face
- 7:11Speaker 5: of the franchise.
- 7:11Speaker 3: But this is.
- 7:12Speaker 5: Basically like Kobe going from number eight to number twenty
- 7:15Speaker 5: four in my opinion a little bit. But if you
- 7:18Speaker 5: had a chance to watch the Olympics and watch Devin Booker,
- 7:21Speaker 5: he killed it. So I think that this is gonna
- 7:23Speaker 5: be a great thing. He's gonna be Rocket number fifteen,
- 7:25Speaker 5: and I think that the Sense franchise will turn around.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I think it's a cool thing to do to his
- 7:30Speaker 4: dad for Father's Day.
- 7:31Speaker 5: Yeah, aforing him totally, totally, a massive milestone for justice
- 7:36Speaker 5: happened in a New York courtroom yesterday Rex Huerman. He
- 7:39Speaker 5: is the notorious Gilligo Beach serial killer who pleaded guilty
- 7:44Speaker 5: to murdering eight women. He was officially sentenced to three
- 7:47Speaker 5: consecutive life terms without the possibility of parole, plus an
- 7:50Speaker 5: additional one hundred years. So the courtroom literally erupted in
- 7:54Speaker 5: cheers and applause after the draw of the judge. He
- 7:57Speaker 5: completely dragged him. I mean, he was a judge with
- 7:59Speaker 5: all seeing a small coward before sending him away to
- 8:02Speaker 5: rotten prison for the rest of us.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I wonder, if he murdered eight people, why only three
- 8:06Speaker 3: life sentences.
- 8:07Speaker 5: I don't know, but all I know is that he
- 8:10Speaker 5: ain't getting naud of there ever, so justice was definitely served.
- 8:14Speaker 5: A new article that has been blowing up, it says
- 8:17Speaker 5: that people who keep their phone notifications off tend to
- 8:20Speaker 5: be happier because they're not constantly getting interrupted by those deans.
- 8:24Speaker 5: So experts are saying that fewer notifications can actually improve focus,
- 8:27Speaker 5: lower stress, help you stay present, and even strengthen real
- 8:31Speaker 5: life relationships because you're paying attention to the people in
- 8:33Speaker 5: front of you instead of looking at your screen. So
- 8:35Speaker 5: if your friend takes like six hours to touch you back,
- 8:37Speaker 5: don't worry. They probably just put their phone on Do
- 8:39Speaker 5: not Disturb and they're protecting their peace.
- 8:41Speaker 1: So putting your phone on, dude, I just make sure
- 8:44Speaker 1: I have like my volume off, the vibration off, and
- 8:47Speaker 1: no notifications.
- 8:48Speaker 4: But I don't know, just do not disturb does the
- 8:50Speaker 4: same thing, I'm sure.
- 8:51Speaker 5: Yeah, totally.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Times I'll do the airplane mode.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Yeah. I like not having the notifications, especially on Instagram
- 8:57Speaker 5: because even when you see that number on there, you're
- 8:59Speaker 5: ten to go on.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Well, yeah, and if you hear a little buzz on
- 9:02Speaker 3: your phone, you're like, hmm, I wonder what that is.
- 9:04Speaker 5: Imagine those phantom buzzes that we get all the time
- 9:06Speaker 5: to where you like think your phone.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Rings, but it totally does that in your pocket at all,
- 9:09Speaker 3: for sure.
- 9:09Speaker 4: For sure. I was thinking there thinking about this yesterday.
- 9:11Speaker 1: Actually, I was like thinking about addiction and how grateful
- 9:16Speaker 1: I am that there's nobody in my life something like that.
- 9:18Speaker 1: I was thinking about rug addiction and I was thinking
- 9:20Speaker 1: about that, and I was.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Thinking about alcoholism.
- 9:22Speaker 1: I was just having this like deep thought by myself
- 9:24Speaker 1: when I was sitting outside, and then I was like,
- 9:27Speaker 1: the freaking phone is such an addiction, Like you just
- 9:30Speaker 1: look at it for no reason. You pick it up
- 9:31Speaker 1: all the time even though there's nothing going, Like I
- 9:33Speaker 1: want to watch TV, but I'll be on my phone,
- 9:35Speaker 1: so I'll go take my phone and try to put
- 9:37Speaker 1: it away. And I was like, there's a phone addiction
- 9:39Speaker 1: in my house, and there's a phone addiction in this country.
- 9:42Speaker 5: Sure people are getting killed from their phones. I mean,
- 9:45Speaker 5: texting and driving all the time. You're distracted.
- 9:48Speaker 4: It's hard to it's not not do that.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I mean it's crazy, like, how do you There needs
- 9:51Speaker 1: to be some sort of way to get out of it.
- 9:53Speaker 4: For sure, you got to be strong.
- 9:55Speaker 5: We can break through. But that's the things that you
- 9:57Speaker 5: need to do.
- 9:58Speaker 4: A nice job filling in for Kyle this week. Did
- 10:00Speaker 4: wait chopped eight minutes?
- 10:01Speaker 5: I missed my friend?
- 10:02Speaker 3: Yes, so do we
