Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: This is Kiss Breakfast.
- 0:02Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do a hit of celebrity gossip. Here's Nat.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Amy just forgot she was on the radio.
- 0:07Speaker 4: He doesn't normally turn my mic on straight away.
- 0:10Speaker 3: No, I do. Okay.
- 0:13Speaker 5: To be honest, you just turned us on so early.
- 0:15Speaker 5: I even went, why are our mics on?
- 0:17Speaker 2: Oh, you were on and down.
- 0:18Speaker 3: You were throwing me.
- 0:19Speaker 5: Tate McRae. So she reckons... She reckons that every time
- 0:25Speaker 5: she has a sleepover, which apparently she still does at
- 0:27Speaker 5: the age of 23, she reckons she wakes up constantly
- 0:31Speaker 5: because she feels ghost energy.
- 0:34Speaker 3: So she's one of these people that believes they're.
- 0:35Speaker 5: In tune with the extraterrestrials or whatever you want to
- 0:39Speaker 5: call them.
- 0:39Speaker 3: But let's take a listen to her explain herself.
- 0:42Speaker 6: People always make fun of me because whenever they have
- 0:44Speaker 6: a sleepover with me, I'll be in bed and at
- 0:46Speaker 6: some point in the night, there's 100% chance that I
- 0:48Speaker 6: will wake up screaming, run around the room, something will
- 0:51Speaker 6: be in the room. I will always pick up on
- 0:54Speaker 6: the ghost.
- 0:55Speaker 3: That is there.
- 0:56Speaker 7: In my dreams, kind of like I'll wake up and
- 0:58Speaker 7: I'll see a guy in the corner. He like banged
- 1:01Speaker 7: his head and then I'll be like, we need to
- 1:03Speaker 7: save him, we need to save him. Then I'll wake
- 1:04Speaker 7: up the next morning and everyone's like, you were crazy
- 1:07Speaker 7: last night. And then we search it up and it's
- 1:09Speaker 7: like 30 year old man died in room, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:12Speaker 7: And I'm in that room. It's happened to me so
- 1:14Speaker 7: many times.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Right, my eyes just glaze over any time I hear
- 1:17Speaker 2: anyone tell a.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Ghost story because I don't believe it.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Yeah, you say that until something happens to you. I
- 1:22Speaker 1: was a bit of a sceptic.
- 1:23Speaker 4: I never really believed in ghosts either, but I went
- 1:25Speaker 4: down to this particular Airbnb. I'm not even going to
- 1:29Speaker 4: say the name because people get married there and it
- 1:32Speaker 4: is a stunning property.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Is it meant to be haunted or something?
- 1:35Speaker 1: Oh, no, it's actually, if you Google the name, it
- 1:38Speaker 1: says that it's haunted, right?
- 1:40Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 1:40Speaker 4: And I had gone down there with five girlfriends for
- 1:42Speaker 4: this girls' weekend. there's like six bedrooms there. So we
- 1:46Speaker 4: all got a bedroom and then there was one six bedroom,
- 1:49Speaker 4: which was free. I was in like the main bedroom.
- 1:52Speaker 4: I don't know how I scored that one.
- 1:53Speaker 1: When I tell.
- 1:54Speaker 2: You, I remember.
- 1:57Speaker 1: What I was asleep and I woke up to this, Knocking.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Can you hear that?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Knocking down the wall.
- 2:06Speaker 4: And I instantly got this cold shiver that went over me.
- 2:10Speaker 4: And they say that that's like a soul, right? It's
- 2:12Speaker 4: not like I didn't see anything visually.
- 2:14Speaker 2: You just heard knocking.
- 2:15Speaker 4: But I felt, I heard the knocking and then I
- 2:18Speaker 4: felt this kind of like a cold breeze go over me.
- 2:22Speaker 3: And then all of a sudden. Was the window open?
- 2:23Speaker 1: No, the window wasn't open.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Construction next door.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And then I felt this.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Pressure on top of me and I was engulfed in
- 2:31Speaker 4: fear because it's.
- 2:33Speaker 8: Pitch black were you asleep were you dreaming I was
- 2:36Speaker 8: awake I wasn't drunk and I could not move I
- 2:40Speaker 8: was frozen in the bed and I was so terrified
- 2:45Speaker 8: and I felt like there was somebody in the room
- 2:47Speaker 8: with me.
- 2:47Speaker 2: So you're a believer I Well, this is going to
- 2:50Speaker 2: blow your mind.
- 2:50Speaker 1: So the next morning I got up.
- 2:52Speaker 4: So I basically ended up reaching out and I turned
- 2:56Speaker 4: the light on because in my head, as soon as
- 2:58Speaker 4: the room was lit up, like I was safe, right?
- 3:00Speaker 1: Because it was in light. And I just had to
- 3:03Speaker 1: sleep with the light on.
- 3:04Speaker 4: I played music on my phone just to kind of
- 3:07Speaker 4: drum out.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Any head noise and whatnot.
- 3:09Speaker 4: In the morning I was talking to my girlfriends and
- 3:12Speaker 4: one of the other girls said she had horrendous dreams
- 3:14Speaker 4: and she was scared and she had a bad nightmare.
- 3:17Speaker 4: We went into the sixth room, which wasn't used, and
- 3:20Speaker 4: there was two beds in it.
- 3:22Speaker 1: And both beds, when.
- 3:23Speaker 4: We had arrived, they were fully made, well done, and
- 3:26Speaker 4: we were like, we shut the door because we were like,
- 3:27Speaker 4: no one's going to use that room. Opened the door
- 3:29Speaker 4: to that room, both beds had the sheets pulled back,
- 3:32Speaker 4: like both beds had been slept in.
- 3:33Speaker 3: So one of your friends went and slept in there?
- 3:35Speaker 1: No one slept in there.
- 3:37Speaker 2: You're not a believer, are you?
- 3:37Speaker 3: I'm not a believer, sorry.
- 3:39Speaker 1: No, no, no.
- 3:39Speaker 3: There's just explanations for everything you're saying.
- 3:42Speaker 1: No, no, no, but all five girlfriends were like, we
- 3:44Speaker 1: didn't get out of there.
- 3:45Speaker 3: Yeah, one of them's taking the piss out of you.
- 3:46Speaker 1: No, and the same thing happened this next night.
- 3:48Speaker 4: So we made the beds because we were all terrified
- 3:51Speaker 4: and then I ended up sleeping in bed with two
- 3:53Speaker 4: of my girlfriends because we were all shitting bricks.
- 3:56Speaker 3: Mikey wants to know more about that.
- 3:58Speaker 1: And we woke up again the next morning, both beds unmade.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I don't, I don't.
- 4:05Speaker 1: The lights were flickering. Explain that.
- 4:08Speaker 3: Poor electricity, poor wiring to an old property. Like it
- 4:11Speaker 3: hasn't happened.
- 4:12Speaker 5: I've had the same discussion with my partner who claims
- 4:15Speaker 5: if you're in Sydney, you'd know there's a place called
- 4:17Speaker 5: the Picton Tunnels.
- 4:18Speaker 3: He claims he went there. And saw Ghost there and
- 4:21Speaker 3: I'm like, bullshit, mate. Same with you. I don't believe
- 4:24Speaker 3: you because it's never happened to me.
- 4:26Speaker 5: So I'm not welcoming it, but I'm just saying I
- 4:28Speaker 5: think there's always a logical explanation for these things.
- 4:32Speaker 3: Nah.
- 4:32Speaker 9: The story would have worked better if I'd played this
- 4:34Speaker 9: music as you were telling it.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:36Speaker 1: No, you wouldn't be surprised.
- 4:38Speaker 4: This happened to me back in like 2022, I think
- 4:40Speaker 4: it was, and I shared a lot about it on
- 4:43Speaker 4: my socials and the stories that I got from other
- 4:47Speaker 4: people We're wild.
- 4:51Speaker 3: 131065.
- 4:52Speaker 1: If you have a ghost story, I want to hear
- 4:56Speaker 1: about it.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I don't think you're going to convince Mikey.
- 4:58Speaker 1: I'm going to find the stories.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Of the people.
- 5:02Speaker 9: You heard three girls in a bed. That's where I
- 5:06Speaker 9: perked up. But yeah, 131065, maybe you can concur.
- 5:09Speaker 2: With Amy.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I'm telling you now.
- 5:10Speaker 3: I just want to quickly mention another celebrity story. Oh, yeah, sorry.
- 5:13Speaker 3: We're on celebrity hits, mate.
- 5:14Speaker 5: No, so Olivia Rodrigo was performing a concert and something
- 5:19Speaker 5: she did at the show is now going viral. So
- 5:21Speaker 5: she's on stage and she does what can only be
- 5:24Speaker 5: explained as rubs her underarms and looks like collects the
- 5:29Speaker 5: sweat from.
- 5:30Speaker 3: Her underarms and then uses it to slick her hair.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 5:34Speaker 3: She's rubbing her underarm.
- 5:35Speaker 5: She even like kind of like rubs her fingers together
- 5:38Speaker 5: and then look, rubs it through her hair.
- 5:40Speaker 1: That's hot.
- 5:40Speaker 3: So people on Twitter are saying it's unsanitary. It's disgusting.
- 5:44Speaker 5: Someone's defending her saying she was just fixing the straps
- 5:47Speaker 5: on her shirt, but you guys are looking at the video.
- 5:49Speaker 3: She rubbed her underarm.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And she even looks at her hand.
- 5:52Speaker 3: And kind of like rubs it together.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 3: How bizarre.
- 5:55Speaker 9: Wow.
- 5:56Speaker 2: But it's her own sweat.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's B.O.
- 5:58Speaker 2: It's all right.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Do you like the smell of Ryan's B.O.? Or am
- 6:03Speaker 3: I about to out myself here as some.
- 6:05Speaker 6: Sort of freak?
- 6:05Speaker 3: Well, as in like.
- 6:06Speaker 5: I kind of like when, like, you know, after work
- 6:10Speaker 5: or like after the gym, there's that like manly smell.
- 6:12Speaker 2: You're meant to like your partner's pheromones.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Pheromones.
- 6:14Speaker 1: I like Ryan's. Yeah, I've never found Ryan smelly.
- 6:18Speaker 6: Right.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I'm all for, I don't see the problem. That is
- 6:22Speaker 2: her own.
- 6:23Speaker 1: I don't know about rubbing it in your hair.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I mean, it would work if you needed it. Would it?
- 6:31Speaker 1: She's rubbing essentially deodorant on me, hoping she's wearing deodorant.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, surely. What about the people that don't
- 6:36Speaker 3: wear deodorant anymore?
- 6:37Speaker 5: Have you seen those crystals that you rub on your
- 6:38Speaker 5: underarm and they're supposed to be like, you don't need
- 6:40Speaker 5: to wear deodorant?
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yeah, my girlfriend showed me one. The company she works
- 6:44Speaker 2: for make it. What are they called?
- 6:46Speaker 9: Oh, it's like natural deodorant, but it's a crystal. She
- 6:48Speaker 9: said you've got to, I think you do it when
- 6:50Speaker 9: you get out of the shower.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Something like that. And they swear that you don't.
- 6:53Speaker 1: That it works.
- 6:53Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Well, I use a natural deodorant and I swear it's
- 6:56Speaker 1: the only one.
- 6:57Speaker 2: That's why you're a pony.
- 6:59Speaker 1: You can smell my armpits right now.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Why do you use natural though?
- 7:03Speaker 4: Just because the other ones, you know, funny you say
- 7:06Speaker 4: that because I went through a stage where I never
- 7:08Speaker 4: wore deodorant.
- 7:09Speaker 1: I actually did not wear deodorant for like six months.
- 7:11Speaker 6: What?
- 7:12Speaker 3: No smell.
- 7:12Speaker 1: And then I don't know if I'm just perimenopause, but.
- 7:15Speaker 2: It came back.
- 7:16Speaker 3: Yeah. The smell came back.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Hey, we've got a bunch of people who also claim
- 7:20Speaker 5: to have ghost encounters.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Oh, here we go. Should we take some calls next? Yes.
- 7:25Speaker 9: All right.
- 7:26Speaker 3: Let's see if they convince the skeptic in Mikey.
- 7:29Speaker 9: Yeah, okay.
