- 1:36SPEAKER_02: Today I'm chatting with Gail Marie Morrison.
- 1:39SPEAKER_02: Gail is a multi-talented marketing strategist, author, speaker, consultant, and coach who has been featured in numerous news outlets and prestigious publications, among them CEO Weekly, Digital Journal, U.S.
- 1:54SPEAKER_02: Business, New York Weekly, and The Wall Street Times, just to name a few.
- 1:58SPEAKER_02: With a rich background in communications, business, and adult education, Gail has dedicated her career to empowering entrepreneurs, and small businesses to unlock their full potential.
- 2:10SPEAKER_02: She brings a people-first approach to marketing, ensuring her clients connect authentically with their audiences and stand out in a crowded marketplace.
- 2:20SPEAKER_02: Hey, welcome, Gail.
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: How are you?
- 2:21SPEAKER_02: Well, thank you, Tina.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: I am doing well today.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: How are you?
- 2:26SPEAKER_02: I'm doing great.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 2:28SPEAKER_02: So I want to know, I read your bio, and so you are clearly like all business, right?
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: Is that how it works in your world?
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: Are you just about your business?
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: Maybe tell me a little bit about you.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: Well, no, I'm definitely not all business.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: I'm a people person.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: However, I am an introvert, but I have frequent extrovert flare ups.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: But I love people and pets, especially and gardening and other creative things that I do.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: But I enjoy business and it's kind of like a trickle over from, you know, just enjoying helping people.
- 3:11SPEAKER_00: And no matter what situation, whether it's on an individual basis, whether it's being a therapeutic foster mom, whether it's taking care of pets that need to be rescued, providing respite care for individuals that are caregiving, and then, of course, business owners that need support in this day and time that don't have the budget to hire a strategist.
- 3:34SPEAKER_00: So I have a lot of different platforms that I'm able to provide them just to help them navigate this process.
- 3:41SPEAKER_02: Oh, wow, okay, that sounds interesting.
- 3:43SPEAKER_02: Tell me more about that.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Like if a business owner comes to you and says, I really don't have it in my budget to come up with a marketing plan, Where do you start?
- 3:53SPEAKER_02: How do you start that process?
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Well, I'm going to start that process with what I call discovery and clarity.
- 4:00SPEAKER_00: And the discovery is going to help me understand them as a person.
- 4:05SPEAKER_00: And I think that's most crucial with authenticity with an individual.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: So I want to understand, get to know them and understand what their vision and their goals are.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: Now with that discovery, then I'll be able to help them because I'm a serial entrepreneur and so I've owned multiple types of businesses for over 25 years.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: And so I'm gonna start with the business development for them to get clarity on what it is that they want to accomplish and what type and style of business method best suits their personality so that they stay within their creativity.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: So I'm gonna start there with a series of questions.
- 4:48SPEAKER_00: Now, some people come to me and they don't know what they wanna do.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: They just know they wanna go into business.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: So I'm going to do an extensive interview process and understand them and then go over with them what I call the 20 top niches that are very lucrative and then narrow it down to a mega niche.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: So we're going to start with discovery, understanding who they are as a person, what their mission is, what their vision is, what their purpose that they feel in life, and then see where and what type of business best aligns with their personality.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: Oh, wow.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: That's, that almost sounds fun.
- 5:26SPEAKER_02: Sounds like a lot of work, right?
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: It sounds like, yeah, it does sound like, you know, because I wanted, I want to start a business, but I don't know where to start.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: That's, that's huge, right?
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:37SPEAKER_00: And so we even take them through what, depending on where they are and what we're able to accomplish in that discovery call, that we may set them up on a trek for a clarity course.
- 5:52SPEAKER_00: And in that course, it's a self-paced.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: It helps them get clarity with some of the tough questions so they can kind of just sit down and mull it over, process it, get a cup of tea or coffee, sit down at the beach and just go through the questionnaire and the course information with the promptings.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: And by the time that they're done, they're pretty clear as to what it is that they want to do.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Oh,
- 6:17SPEAKER_02: I like that.
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: I would like to do a questionnaire like that for myself.
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: Just, I mean, I know where my business is.
- 6:22SPEAKER_02: I know where I want it to go, but just, you know, Sometimes I think, am I doing the right thing?
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: And so that sounds like a questionnaire or a survey or quiz that would help you decide, right?
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: That this is not quite the business.
- 6:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love that.
- 6:38SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: It also helps with that alignment.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: And guess what?
- 6:41SPEAKER_00: As we grow, you know, our desires and our purpose changes.
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: So it's always good to kind of check in to see where you are.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: Now, I've been, although I have a degree in communication, multimedia, and also a degree in in business management.
- 6:58SPEAKER_00: I started out in business, but I always was involved in marketing.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: I had a radio talk show coming out right out of college and I opened my first business, but it was investment management and finance.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: So I stayed in the finance management arena for quite a while until about 2009, 2010, 2010, I decided to say, what do I want to do?
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: I'm not as creative.
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: I'm not as fulfilled as I used to be.
- 7:29SPEAKER_00: So what do I want to do?
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: And a friend of mine said to me, well, what was your first love?
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: And I said, you know what?
- 7:35SPEAKER_00: Communications.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: But my family had said, ah, communications is great, but you're not going to make a lot of money there.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: You need to go into business.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: And so I listened to them and I went into business, but I found that the communication was calling me.
- 7:49SPEAKER_00: So I delved back in to marketing on a full-time basis.
- 7:56SPEAKER_02: So I don't really understand what like a degree in communications is really.
- 8:03SPEAKER_02: Like I know that many people I know that have a communications degree are in marketing.
- 8:09SPEAKER_02: But isn't communications like the way, like the languages that you use and the way you promote communication?
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: Yes, it is.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Communication is just like my company.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: It's holistic.
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: It's the umbrella that holds all the other pieces of communication, whether it's TV or radio, press releases, public relations.
- 8:35SPEAKER_00: That's your multimedia, graphic arts and design.
- 8:38SPEAKER_00: So journalism.
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: So it touches on all phases of communication.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: And that's even in the business setting, the interpersonal communication piece there for management, CEOs, etc.
- 8:53SPEAKER_00: So it's an umbrella and it also includes, of course, marketing.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: And once I did college, once I went back into marketing full time, I went to Cornell University and became certified as a marketing strategist.
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: So I do consulting.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: I'm a strategist and I'm also a coach as well as an author.
- 9:16UNKNOWN: Yeah.
- 9:16SPEAKER_02: Wow.
- 9:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 9:17SPEAKER_02: I remember reading that in your bio and I'm thinking, wow, you have a lot of stuff going on.
- 9:21SPEAKER_02: You are a busy, busy woman.
- 9:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I love it.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: I love what I do.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: And I love helping people, especially those that say, you know, I, you know, I just need help and support.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: I don't know what I need to do in this whole marketing thing.
- 9:36SPEAKER_00: I said, Well, you didn't really start a coaching business to become a marketer.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: So let me help you.
- 9:41SPEAKER_00: Right,
- 9:42SPEAKER_02: exactly.
- 9:42SPEAKER_02: So now you've been in this business now for, you know, a fair amount of time.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, what would you say?
- 9:48SPEAKER_02: Like, would you say that?
- 9:50SPEAKER_02: you know, like it's changed a lot since you started in this kind of work?
- 9:55SPEAKER_02: Oh
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: my, yes.
- 9:57SPEAKER_00: Actually, the biggest changes have come around chat GPT, you know, bringing in, you know, our large language models in to the scheme of things.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: It's a good thing and it's a bad thing.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: A lot of people don't understand how to use the chat GPT or AI for their benefit.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: And, you know, it's Peace.
- 10:21SPEAKER_00: It's concerning because a lot of companies have really started and established based upon a good prompt, but they can't really back it up.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: And then with that, some business owners feel that the information from the initial input into an AI platform is sufficient for them to scale with or generate their income.
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: And they're disappointed because they're not reaching their target audience and they're not getting the return on the investment that they had anticipated.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: So once you know exactly how to use AI, basically it's research, then you add your authenticity to that and to your brand and you get much, much better results.
- 11:09SPEAKER_00: So I spend time, I'm a certified AI specialist, and so I take time to instruct people on how to prompt, if you want to go that direction, how to use it for research so that you can save time.
- 11:25SPEAKER_00: But then where and how you should spend time with that training the AI on how to build up your brand and bring about that authenticity that will resonate with your audience.
- 11:38SPEAKER_00: Because right now, today, a lot of people, when they see an AI, they kind of can identify it now and they're shying away from that because they're saying, oh, that's just AI.
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: That's not real.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: So we make sure that it is real by starting out with the individual.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: And AI is just a small supplement, say maybe 20% of the package and the 80% is the individual and their platform and program.
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: And that's how we're able to have success with AI.
- 12:09SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: So really, what I'm getting from that is using ChatGPT or any kind of AI product isn't necessarily wrong as long as you're not taking it word for word.
- 12:24SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 12:25SPEAKER_02: So if you're giving AI, like you're giving chat to your information, like you're, you know, your ideal client, let's say the information that comes back at you is not the information that you use.
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: You still, you use that more as a guideline than you use as your post or
- 12:42SPEAKER_00: your guide to some extent inspiration.
- 12:45SPEAKER_00: The difference is, is that I've taken the time to, build an AI platform for those individuals that are budget challenged and they want a low monthly subscription to utilize a marketing platform that will do the majority of the standard marketing for a company that's starting out or that's midway.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: And the difference between going to chat GPT and or using my platform is that I'm able to input into that platform So in essence, it's like talking to me without talking to me.
- 13:49SPEAKER_00: on how to strategize and do various campaigns and programs that you may need, even from a hook and or a benefit stack, a landing page, an email campaign.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: So it has all of that information in there.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: And with that, I still hold a monthly meeting for a question and answer period to give additional direction in a group coaching setting.
- 14:19SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's great.
- 14:20SPEAKER_02: Because I mean, chat TPT, like when you just because you're typing it into the computer, and you're getting an answer that doesn't give you all the answers, does it?
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: Like, there's not always like, you know, you put it in and you get it back.
- 14:33SPEAKER_02: And you're like, Oh, my God.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: So how do I start this?
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: What do I really I mean, you can ask, right?
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: You can ask chat TPT again.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: Thank you for your information.
- 14:43SPEAKER_02: But now what?
- 14:44SPEAKER_02: Right?
- 14:45SPEAKER_02: Exactly.
- 14:45SPEAKER_02: What
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: do I do?
- 14:46SPEAKER_00: And so with that, I talk, you know, I do a lot of of free workshops and seminars for individuals to explain to them the basics of things.
- 14:59SPEAKER_00: And then of course, the next step would be implementation.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: And that's where we would need the one-on-one support.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: So I give a ton of free resources and information almost on a daily basis.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: But then if you want to go a little deeper and scale and or get consistent, predictable monthly revenue, then we'd have to talk about the exact implementation piece so that you can expect.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: So you know what your expectations will be.
- 15:32SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 15:33SPEAKER_02: And it's not always straightforward.
- 15:35SPEAKER_02: I totally
- 15:35SPEAKER_00: learned that on myself.
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: And you have to realize too, that chat GPT is a learning model.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: So in essence, the information right or wrong that a person puts in, it's going to spit it out to you.
- 15:46SPEAKER_00: So you don't know if that's actually accurate for your particular scenario.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: And that's part of the problem is that you spend a lot of time on guesswork of not knowing, you know, really what to ask for, not really understanding what you have and then how to implement it
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: right exactly and I'm sure that you know over the next few years it will improve so that it'll be a lot more like I'm sure like eventually we will be able to train you know our chat GPT on our computer to be more like you know our own words
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: and that's true you can you can even that's even that's starting now but of course to train that means that you have to understand process And so there's a process to that.
- 16:34SPEAKER_00: It's not like, okay, chat GPT, who am I?
- 16:37SPEAKER_00: You know, you just can't do that.
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: So there are steps and ways to do that, which I do train on so that people can start to train their chat GPT to understand their values and also to speak like them.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: Well, it's kind of humanized that, you know, we call it authenticity in automation.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 16:59SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 17:00SPEAKER_02: And that's that's kind of a scary thought, isn't it?
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Isn't it, though?
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:04SPEAKER_00: But we're here.
- 17:05SPEAKER_00: We're here
- 17:05SPEAKER_02: now.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: Who would have thought?
- 17:08SPEAKER_02: I mean, now people are using, you know, unfortunately, they're using AI and chat GPT for, you know, sort of the negative things in life.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: You know, it's about time that we switch it and, you know, start using it to our own benefits, right?
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: And we're seeing that now, right?
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: We're seeing it.
- 17:26SPEAKER_02: I mean, I notice it on social media a lot, right?
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: You can tell when someone writes their own social media post or if they're using, you know, AI.
- 17:36SPEAKER_02: And I don't know, some parts of me thinks, you know, can't you just figure it out on your own?
- 17:42SPEAKER_02: But then as a business owner myself, it's easier.
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: And I think It makes life a little bit easier and more simple when you can go to the computer and say, tell me what to post.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: This is, you know, I want to say something about this, but I don't know what the words are.
- 18:00SPEAKER_02: I don't, you know, like it's easy to have that backup without always having to be part of a group.
- 18:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it saves a lot of time.
- 18:08SPEAKER_00: That's one of the benefits on using a chat GPT, et cetera.
- 18:14SPEAKER_00: And that's for research, information and research.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: And, you know, research topics, research was trending, things that would take us a lot of time.
- 18:23SPEAKER_00: We can do that through AI.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: And that's basically where it should really stop, research, information.
- 18:32SPEAKER_00: And then you digest it and produce.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: yourself.
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: And that's how you stay, you know, authentic.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: And then, you know, there are individuals that I have spoken with that have taken this to the next level.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: And, you know, they're losing their creativity because they become dependent upon, you know, they lose their creativity and their authenticity because they are dependent upon the AI model that they're using.
- 18:58SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Kind of just kind of stops you there from, you know, what you used to sit and think of.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: And it would be a brilliant idea.
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Now it's okay.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: Feed it to me and I'll regurgitate it.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: And so it kind of cramps the style a little bit.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: So we have to be careful with that.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: That's true.
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: And I can see that,
- 19:18SPEAKER_02: but I also noticed that it can also spark a little bit of inspiration as well.
- 19:22SPEAKER_00: Yes, it can.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Things like, Oh, I never would have thought about that.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's a good idea.
- 19:27SPEAKER_00: Or you'll see the information and it'll allow you to go in a totally different direction, but it was the inspiration that allowed you to, you know, know, to, to, to, to get the new inspiration, to be creative.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: So you have to be careful with it and, and not depend upon it, but use it as a tool, just like any other tool, just like sheets or Google or, or Excel or any other tool.
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: If we look at it that way, I think that we'll be more beneficial and productive with it.
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: I think so too.
- 19:56SPEAKER_02: I think so too.
- 19:56SPEAKER_02: So I don't want to talk just about chat GPT, although I loved everything you shared because there's so much to learn about it.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: Like, I know, like, I know what it is.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: I know what it does, but There's so much more.
- 20:07SPEAKER_02: And like you said, now we can create our own.
- 20:09SPEAKER_02: So I do love that, you know, and I love that you have that available for your clients because, you know, not everybody knows how to use a computer.
- 20:17SPEAKER_02: Like I do not know how to use my computer.
- 20:19SPEAKER_02: I've been doing my business now for, you know, six or seven years.
- 20:23SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, I still don't know what I'm doing when it comes to, you know, the computer.
- 20:28SPEAKER_02: So it's great
- 20:28SPEAKER_00: that you have that.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: I definitely understand.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: I have a lot of clients and when they enroll in my coaching program We have a tech department that handles all the tech for them.
- 20:39SPEAKER_00: So we get it set up.
- 20:41SPEAKER_00: So it's more or less plug and play.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: And then we instruct on best use and practices for it.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: So I'm very familiar with the challenges of technology in today's market, no matter what age or what level or how long you've been in business.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: There's just certain things that will take more time than it's worth.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: But if it's already set up and then you understand how it functions, then I like to leave my clients in a better position than when they arrived.
- 21:10SPEAKER_00: So when they're walking out the door, they're armed and tooled up so that they can succeed.
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: Check back in monthly with me to say, okay, this is what's going on or these are my challenges and we'll be able to work out a solution for them.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah,
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 21:28SPEAKER_02: So let's go back to business and marketing.
- 21:32SPEAKER_02: So what would you say that entrepreneurs are doing and like making, what are the biggest mistakes that they're making when they market their business and themselves online?
- 21:42SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, I
- 21:45SPEAKER_00: have developed out of great need a system and a process.
- 21:52SPEAKER_00: And I did it for myself and I do it for my clients.
- 21:56SPEAKER_00: And that's the start, as I mentioned before, with discovery.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: Now, the reason that's important, of course, for the clarity, but once you go beyond that You have to develop your unique selling proposition.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: What makes you unique, you know, over your competitors.
- 22:13SPEAKER_00: So you have to know that.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: The next thing is, is really understanding their ideal client and not just on a superficial level.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: We're talking digging deep to 30 to 40 characteristics of that buyer.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: Because once you understand yourself, what you're offering and also that buyer, Now, most people skip over that and they jump right in to doing certain things.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: The problem with that is that they don't always understand what they're capable of offering that sets them apart.
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: They haven't developed their USP.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: And then they haven't understood their client, right?
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: In order to understand how to reach them.
- 23:04SPEAKER_00: Most people start backwards.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: They start at the middle and work forward and then they miss, there's gaps.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: There's not an alignment there.
- 23:13SPEAKER_00: So that's the biggest issue that I find that just across the board, even with people that say, yeah, I know who my people are.
- 23:22SPEAKER_00: They're 35 plus.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: They're recently out of school or out of parenthood or et cetera, et cetera.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: But those are some demographics, but we have to go deeper in order to reach a person in this day and age because it's not like it used to be where the demographics were just sufficient.
- 23:45SPEAKER_00: You now have to go into psychographics.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: You have to go into emotional mapping.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: You have to understand pain points.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: So there's a myriad of things that you have to understand.
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Where do they shop?
- 23:57SPEAKER_02: What
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: are their hobbies?
- 23:59SPEAKER_00: What do they like to do?
- 24:00SPEAKER_00: Where do they hang out online?
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: I mean, so it goes, the list goes on and on and on and on.
- 24:04SPEAKER_00: And we help our clients develop that list so that they understand their buyer.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: We take it from research as well as some information from their current clientele.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: And we build that avatar.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: And then we speak to that avatar.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: And that's our client engagement.
- 24:22SPEAKER_00: So we do visibility first, which is being visible.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: That means finding your tribe your tribe.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: And so you don't have to worry about competition because you and everyone has their own tribe.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: So I can do marketing and the person next to me can do marketing, but guess what?
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: We're going to appeal to different people.
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: And so what I do with individuals is in the very beginning is help them find their tribe by developing their uniqueness, making it sure it's authentic, and then targeting that audience with the correct content that aligns them, their personality with what the client needs.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: And so you have to really understand that need.
- 25:05SPEAKER_00: So you have to really understand what keeps them up at night, you know, how to speak to them and where to speak to them and when to speak to them.
- 25:13SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: I was going to say like the when and the where is, is huge.
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: It's a huge, it's a huge, huge component of that, isn't it?
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: Like, it's
- 25:23SPEAKER_00: not absolutely
- 25:24SPEAKER_02: like, just because you're on Facebook doesn't mean you're going to find them on Facebook or LinkedIn or whatever platforms you're on.
- 25:32SPEAKER_02: Correct.
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: And so that's why we talk about diversification in the multimedia is that you have to do a multitude of things in order to get their attention because they see you once, they see you twice, they have to see you seven times before it registers that they've seen you in some instances.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: And you have to realize too that when people are on social media, they're not there to talk to you.
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: They're there for other purposes.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: So you have to have scroll stopping stuff so that they will stop and take a look at what it is.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: And so to do that, you really have to understand that person and speak to them.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: And that's why it's crucial.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: So that's our second part of our trifecta.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: So visibility, client engagement, The third part then is what we call the Lead Flow Accelerator, where we assist, we set you up for success, and we assist you with booking clients on your calendar, 10 to 15 qualified, pre-qualified individuals each and every week.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: And that's for individuals that are solopreneurs to small businesses that have high ticket businesses offers so that if you're at the 3,000 to 5,000, if you have five clients a month, maybe 10, then you're sitting in a good target range for your monthly income.
- 27:07SPEAKER_00: And so we set that up.
- 27:08SPEAKER_00: We put it in motion.
- 27:09SPEAKER_00: We show you how to continue it.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: But, you know, we make a guarantee as to what it is that we're able to do with the lead flow accelerator and getting that client to you and getting your calendar book solid.
- 27:23SPEAKER_00: Wow, I love that idea, right?
- 27:26UNKNOWN: Because that's the hard part, right?
- 27:28UNKNOWN: Is bringing in those clients.
- 27:30SPEAKER_02: And sometimes not even bringing them in, but holding on to them, right?
- 27:35SPEAKER_02: You know, like, okay, you did this, you took this offer from me, you took this offer.
- 27:39SPEAKER_02: Now, let's get you into the big business.
- 27:41SPEAKER_02: You
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: know, I want to see you.
- 28:11SPEAKER_00: It's not as together as she thought it was once I started asking questions.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: So that's part of our visibility and client engagement piece where we'll go in, look at your program, your presentation, your coaching offer, and we may restructure it, add to it, take away from it so that it's ready to be presented to your target audience that will resonate with them.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: So we'll create your storyboard, your my storyboard, the pillars of your program, etc.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: So we'll do all of that work with you.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: But then the highlight is, is that now that we've done that for her, and she's going to have her first boot camp at the end of this month, it's How are you showing up online in order to present?
- 29:00SPEAKER_00: It's just not a matter of showing up.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: You need practice.
- 29:04SPEAKER_00: You need information.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: So she is taking her two-hour session on tomorrow with my Zoom presentation consultant.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: And so that's going to go over lighting and microphone and background, et cetera, et cetera.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: And then in addition, I have a co-host, a Zoom tech co-host to handle all of the tech so that she doesn't get flustered, et cetera.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: So we do a number of things to ensure our clients' success.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: So when I say visibility, client engagement, and leadful accelerator, trust me, there are a stack of benefits and services and resources that we provide to ensure the success of our clients.
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: Oh, I love that.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 29:53SPEAKER_02: So I hope, I hope like our listeners, if they're looking for, you know, marketing strategies, they come to you because I think that, you know, having to have done this on my own, I understand, you know, having that support and being able to come to you and say, you know, help me.
- 30:11SPEAKER_02: I don't know how to do this.
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 30:13SPEAKER_02: It sounds like you could have walked me through all that.
- 30:16SPEAKER_02: You know, I mean, I did end up hiring, you know, some coaches and, you know, because of that, because it's not easy to do on your own.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: No, it's not.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: No, it's not.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: And I work with my individuals one-on-one.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: So I open up my calendar.
- 30:31SPEAKER_00: I take them because I, I'm real protective of my clients and I don't like doing the group setting when we're building at that discovery clarity stage and we're putting together that signature offer because I don't want others to be privy to that.
- 30:49SPEAKER_00: proprietary information.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: And even though you're at this level, someone else may be at level seven, but you're at level three and they can, you know, kind of mesh that idea in and kind of steal the thunder.
- 31:01SPEAKER_00: So I'm, I'm real cautious of that.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: And so I take a few clients at a time.
- 31:05SPEAKER_00: And then once I take them through that process, which is usually between a 90 to 120 days for the program.
- 31:15SPEAKER_00: And then they're, you know, off and running and ready to scale from there.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: So that's how we set that up.
- 31:23SPEAKER_00: And it works, you know, for, for me and it works for them.
- 31:26SPEAKER_00: And I open and close my calendar several times a year just to be able to do the one-on-one coaching.
- 31:33SPEAKER_02: Oh, I love that.
- 31:34SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 31:35SPEAKER_02: And that's, I mean, that's, that's a great way to manage your time.
- 31:39SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 31:40SPEAKER_02: And be able to prioritize that client.
- 31:44SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: You know, you know that this is what I'm focusing on.
- 31:47SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 31:48SPEAKER_02: So I'm wondering, Like, I mean, we talked about like the whole, you know, the marketing plan.
- 31:55SPEAKER_02: There's a lot of business owners out there.
- 31:59SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, in the coaching world, there's a lot of us, right?
- 32:03SPEAKER_02: So I wonder, how do you allow your clients to really stand out in this marketplace?
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, and not let them feel like they're selling their, you know, their soul.
- 32:18SPEAKER_00: Well, we help them with the irresistible offer, which is their signature program.
- 32:26SPEAKER_00: So we put the teeth and the base, as they say, into their signature program.
- 32:32SPEAKER_00: So once you have that signature program unlocked, you will not believe that the amount of confidence that that builds for that individual because there's no missing pieces.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: So we also work within the process when we do the discovery and clarity, whether or not there needs to be some mindset training.
- 32:56SPEAKER_00: So once we conquer those initial concerns, we're able to, lock in in that discovery, their uniqueness.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Everyone has a story.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: Everyone came to Going through life and business that brings about only something that they can talk about.
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: And guess what?
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: As they talk about it, they're drawing the people that are on that have synergy that are on the same wavelength.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: And so that's how you stand out by being your authentic self and developing it.
- 33:33SPEAKER_00: Now, it's one thing to know it.
- 33:36SPEAKER_00: For instance, I worked with a an individual who was a doctorate in a PhD in another field.
- 33:42SPEAKER_00: who went to holistic health.
- 33:46SPEAKER_00: And she was building her platform on holistic health and for people that are dealing with cancer and diet and those things.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: And she was doing okay because she also did the cooking shows to show you how to prepare tasty meals that are plant-based.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: But the key that she was missing without even realizing was to tell her story.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: The reason why she stopped her engineering job from which she had a PhD in engineering and moved into holistic health and became a licensed nutritionist and holistic health coach is because she had thyroid cancer and she did the plant-based system and was able to not take radiation and chemo, et cetera, et cetera.
- 34:38SPEAKER_00: So that was her story, but it was missing from her story.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: So we start with your, what we call your brand origin story.
- 34:48SPEAKER_00: And that brings about your connection with the right people.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: So that's how we set individuals apart.
- 34:57SPEAKER_00: You know, it's my job to just kind of, you know, interview you and find out what's unique.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: And that can be told in a way with storytelling so that you will draw your audience and you and no one else can do what you can do with your audience.
- 35:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 35:19SPEAKER_02: I love that.
- 35:19SPEAKER_02: And, and yeah, I get what you're saying.
- 35:22SPEAKER_02: Like her story's missing.
- 35:23SPEAKER_02: So no one's going to listen.
- 35:25SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 35:26SPEAKER_02: As soon as you see, I, you know, I went through this, right.
- 35:30SPEAKER_02: This is what I felt you.
- 35:32SPEAKER_02: That's when people start listening.
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: They're like, Oh my gosh, that's what I'm going through.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: And they start
- 35:36SPEAKER_00: listening.
- 35:37SPEAKER_00: You're absolutely right.
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: They start listening because they can identify with that.
- 35:41SPEAKER_00: But guess what?
- 35:42SPEAKER_00: When you're telling your own story and you, what you went through, you know, just, just how you present it will allow you to connect with individuals because it is your story.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: It's the truth.
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: It's your truth.
- 35:56SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 35:56SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 35:57SPEAKER_02: And it makes it more real for whoever's listening.
- 35:59SPEAKER_02: Absolutely.
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: Because now I'm not alone.
- 36:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah, exactly.
- 36:05SPEAKER_02: So, you know, what advice would you give to women who feel like they're maybe too late or too behind to succeed in business today?
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: You're never too late and you're never too far behind.
- 36:17SPEAKER_00: Because as long as you have breath in your body, you're able to be successful in your business.
- 36:24SPEAKER_00: A lot of people have given up.
- 36:26SPEAKER_00: I do know that.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: And they've talked to me, people have said, gosh, I wish I had met you two years ago.
- 36:30SPEAKER_00: I would have been much further along.
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: I would say that you need to get the right mentor.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: the right partner, because, you know, it's not that you hire hire me.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: We partner together for your success.
- 36:47SPEAKER_00: I would state to before you would hire your consultant or coach, you know, do a little bit of background check, you know, as to how long they've been in business and the ratings and testimonials, et cetera.
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: You know, we're with the Better Business Bureau.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: We're a plus and accredited.
- 37:08SPEAKER_00: With the BBB, we're also approved with the federal government as marketing consultant contractors for the federal government.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: We're also state and local.
- 37:20SPEAKER_00: And I've just received the Local Business Person of the Year 2025 through Alignable, which is also attached to the Better Business Bureau.
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: So those are the things that you want to look for, a seasoned individual that can bring the insight and the strategies to make a difference in a small amount of time.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: And if you're lucky enough that it's a good fit, you'll also benefit from the reduced pricing.
- 37:47SPEAKER_00: So those are the things that are crucial.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: You don't want to, you know, get in over your head financially trying to do these things, but working with someone who's willing to partner with you and allow you to scale, one that has the credentials and also the experience.
- 38:03SPEAKER_00: Because there's a lot of companies out here that were able to get into the psychology of individuals and say the right things, but they couldn't really back it up.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: And those companies have closed since then and they've left people hanging.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: And or they have this great sales pitch But once you get into the program, you never see that person and you don't get the benefit.
- 38:25SPEAKER_00: And so you're kind of lost trying to figure it out on your own, but you've paid$10,000 for the, for the assistance that you're not getting.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: I talk to those people, you know, all the time.
- 38:37SPEAKER_00: It's unfortunate, but you know, what they learned with paying 10,000, they were able to gain with me on an hour free audit call.
- 38:47SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 38:48SPEAKER_02: That's amazing.
- 38:49SPEAKER_02: That is amazing.
- 38:51SPEAKER_02: Well, thank you so much for joining me today.
- 38:53SPEAKER_02: I really love this.
- 38:55SPEAKER_02: I loved our chat about the chat GPT.
- 38:57SPEAKER_02: I think this was
- 38:59SPEAKER_00: great.
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: Some people are scared of chat GPT.
- 39:01SPEAKER_02: And so I'm glad that you sort of cleared up, you know, a little bit of that, you know, I know that practice makes perfect.
- 39:08SPEAKER_02: And so, you know, I mean, all of everything that you shared with me today was great for anyone who wants to be in business or is in business.
- 39:17SPEAKER_02: So it's not just for the newbies.
- 39:18SPEAKER_02: It's also for the ones that are, you know, looking maybe to change or add or, you
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: know.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: Or pivot.
- 39:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 39:25SPEAKER_00: Or transition in some ways and also see what other services that they could offer that they may not have thought about that could be developed that would take them to another level.
- 39:37SPEAKER_00: Or people that just want to scale and make sure that they have the right automation, the right platform, and the right systems in place so that they can scale.
- 39:46SPEAKER_00: Some people need assistance with email campaigns on how to make them resonate even though their audience is small.
- 39:53SPEAKER_00: So we provide scripts.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: We provide content.
- 39:57SPEAKER_00: We provide training.
- 39:59SPEAKER_00: Just about whatever you need to fill in the gaps so that you can be successful and feel confident with it.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: And this is information.
- 40:05SPEAKER_00: Like I'm going through content strategy for Facebook.
- 40:10SPEAKER_00: I'm providing you with the rationale with my marketing strategies in writing so that you'll understand it better and that you can then apply it as well.
- 40:20SPEAKER_00: So we partner together and I try to let you know what it is that I know and how I make the decisions and how we move forward with our basic strategies.
- 40:30SPEAKER_02: I love that.
