- 0:25Speaker 1: It is time believe your worries outside and come laugh
- 0:30Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Maley along with
- 0:34Speaker 1: Trey Trendholm and Raj Sharma on Thursday, November seven, twenty
- 0:43Speaker 1: twenty four. I've been contemplating firing up a new game
- 0:50Speaker 1: slash new feature here inside the Treehouse, and I think
- 0:53Speaker 1: I've found the perfect story in which to launch our
- 0:59Speaker 1: new feature. Don't leave us hanging, No, definitely not. Do
- 1:14Speaker 1: not underestimate these voters. Okay, this is a I'm just
- 1:20Speaker 1: kind of winging it here, so bear with me. Here
- 1:22Speaker 1: here is the first time, the first edition of Believe
- 1:28Speaker 1: It or Not Inside the Treehouse. I am going to
- 1:37Speaker 1: give you, guys a news story or a survey, some
- 1:44Speaker 1: type of piece of information, and you have to decide
- 1:47Speaker 1: if you believe.
- 1:48Speaker 2: It or not.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Who okay?
- 1:52Speaker 1: All right? Are you ready for your very first Believe
- 1:56Speaker 1: It or Not? I am okay. The Amish. The Amish
- 2:07Speaker 1: turned out for the Pennsylvania vote in the twenty twenty
- 2:11Speaker 1: four presidential election in unprecedented numbers and contributed to Donald
- 2:17Speaker 1: Trump's victory, leading to him being the forty seventh president
- 2:20Speaker 1: of the United States. The Amish turned out in unprecedented
- 2:28Speaker 1: numbers in the state of Pennsylvania to help Donald Trump
- 2:30Speaker 1: secure not only the state's electoral votes but also the
- 2:35Speaker 1: nomination for President of the United States. Believe it or not,
- 2:40Speaker 1: Let's go with h Rise. Let's start with you, sir.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You believe it.
- 2:46Speaker 3: Believe it one hundred percent. Believe it.
- 2:48Speaker 2: Trey, No, I don't believe it.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Clearly, I haven't thought this all the way through because
- 2:56Speaker 1: one of you is right and one of you is wrong.
- 2:58Speaker 1: So let's start with this, Trey. I am unfortunately I
- 3:03Speaker 1: have to share with you. But that didn't work. Hang on,
- 3:07Speaker 1: it's not working. My thing didn't work. Oh that worked.
- 3:13Speaker 1: That works. That does not work for some reason. All right,
- 3:17Speaker 1: hang on, I've got to back up. Not that it
- 3:19Speaker 1: really matters that much, but I'm gonna do it anyway
- 3:21Speaker 1: for the sake of, you know, consistency. Sorry, Trey, Okay,
- 3:29Speaker 1: it's a little rusty, but it's the first time. We're
- 3:31Speaker 1: gonna get there eventually. That would actually make you rajah correct.
- 3:37Speaker 1: The Amish did, in fact turn out in unprecedented numbers
- 3:41Speaker 1: in their horse and buggies to the voting polls in
- 3:44Speaker 1: the state of Pennsylvania to help Donald Trump secure the
- 3:47Speaker 1: forty seventh presidency of the United States. Yes, I told
- 3:52Speaker 1: you you can't. You know what we don't. We don't
- 3:56Speaker 1: get political inside the treehouse very often. But by god,
- 3:58Speaker 1: if when big comes for your unpasteurized raw milk, by God,
- 4:04Speaker 1: the Omish, you're gonna revolt huge.
- 4:08Speaker 3: No, I'm not making that up.
- 4:10Speaker 1: That's the reason.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Yes, I I. I was watching the CNN and they
- 4:19Speaker 3: had the Trump surrogate for Pennsylvania and I tried not
- 4:23Speaker 3: to laugh out loud when he, with a straight face,
- 4:26Speaker 3: was like, yeah, they're going for like Philadelphia, they're going
- 4:30Speaker 3: for Pittsburgh. The Harris campaign, they're going for those guys.
- 4:34Speaker 3: We are actively targeting the Amish. And I busted out laughing,
- 4:38Speaker 3: and I was like, well, they don't use electronics. And
- 4:43Speaker 3: so they promised them paper ballots and uh, that they
- 4:50Speaker 3: could bring there, that they would have parking, ample parking
- 4:53Speaker 3: for their horse and carriages. And based on that promise, uh,
- 4:57Speaker 3: they pulled up in record numbers. And if do you
- 5:00Speaker 3: want anybody voting for you, it's the people that don't
- 5:03Speaker 3: use contraception of any kind and have all you know,
- 5:06Speaker 3: have all nineteen kids voting for the same guy in
- 5:09Speaker 3: each family. That's who you want.
- 5:11Speaker 1: It really is. I mean, if you think about it, Look,
- 5:14Speaker 1: we can dig we could dig in deep into presidential
- 5:18Speaker 1: politics and what happens if you ignore a certain segment
- 5:21Speaker 1: of the population. But I don't think we need to
- 5:23Speaker 1: do a huge deep dive on this one because it's
- 5:25Speaker 1: pretty obvious if if you court them, they may vote
- 5:31Speaker 1: for you. But it especially helps if the previous administration
- 5:35Speaker 1: comes for their raw milk. Yes, Republicans saw boost in
- 5:40Speaker 1: Pennsylvania from a demographic rarely seen at the polls. The Amish,
- 5:46Speaker 1: the states famed Pennsylvania Dutch, registered to vote in unprecedented
- 5:51Speaker 1: numbers in response to a January federal raid on a
- 5:54Speaker 1: local raw milk farm in bird in Hand, Pennsylvania. The
- 5:58Speaker 1: Pennsylvania Department of Actriculture stormed Amos Miller's farm on January
- 6:04Speaker 1: fourth after reports of illnesses and children linked to raw
- 6:08Speaker 1: dairy products purchased there. The Amish community saw the move
- 6:15Speaker 1: as an overzealous reach by the government and was planning
- 6:17Speaker 1: to vote for GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, whose party
- 6:20Speaker 1: favors less government intervention. According to a source of the
- 6:25Speaker 1: local Amish voters, that was the impetus for them to say,
- 6:29Speaker 1: we need to participate. This is about neighbors helping neighbors.
- 6:33Speaker 1: The Amish rallied around Farmer Miller, who cited his religious
- 6:37Speaker 1: beliefs as a reason for not adhering to FDA guidelines.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Actual numbers of Amish voters were unclear, though horse and
- 6:48Speaker 1: buggy rigs were seen at polling locations and photographs from
- 6:52Speaker 1: the region. So I think there's a lesson to be
- 6:55Speaker 1: learned here in politics, which his no stone left.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Unturned, No, no, no butter left unturned.
- 7:04Speaker 1: You want to turn out the vote or do you
- 7:07Speaker 1: want to churn out the vote? I can't tell that
- 7:12Speaker 1: that's funny or terrible, but I'm gonna get whatever. I'm
- 7:15Speaker 1: just gonna go with it.
- 7:19Speaker 4: You're in the visit us online at Treehouse on Air

- 7:51Speaker 1: you know you're doing remodeling work underneath the roof inside
- 7:54Speaker 1: the home as well, and you were telling me just uh,
- 7:58Speaker 1: just recently that you Daniel and Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration,
- 8:03Speaker 1: offer lifetime warranties on all your work.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 8:06Speaker 5: Dan, That's something that we talked about for a while now,
- 8:09Speaker 5: and we decided to go ahead and just pull the
- 8:11Speaker 5: trigger on it. We've had excellent reviews, we've had excellent referrals.
- 8:14Speaker 5: People really love our work when they give us a chance,
- 8:18Speaker 5: and we just want to put our money where our
- 8:20Speaker 5: mouth is. And you know that's the best way I
- 8:22Speaker 5: can always say that is just back it up.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Back it up.
- 8:26Speaker 5: When I was growing up and I told somebody who's
- 8:28Speaker 5: gonna kick their ass, you got to back it up. Well,
- 8:30Speaker 5: now that I'm a grown man and we're doing professional
- 8:33Speaker 5: services on people's homes and I tell them that they're
- 8:35Speaker 5: never going to have a better experience, I'm backing it up.
- 8:37Speaker 2: We're going to take care of your home because we.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Want you to have that peace of mind knowing that

- 8:50Speaker 1: You can experience it for yourself and you can put

- 8:55Speaker 1: As you just heard, even if he dies, he's still
- 8:59Speaker 1: going to honor or this stuff. I mean, that's that's
- 9:02Speaker 1: that's some serious integrity and quality craftsmanship to have the
- 9:05Speaker 1: confidence to be like, yeah, this is how we do things.
- 9:07Speaker 1: So you give the man a call for that free
- 9:09Speaker 1: roof inspection. A three three Cook DFW the website cookdfw

- 9:54Speaker 1: to fairlease dot org. That is fairlease dot org. So
- 9:59Speaker 1: we he darted. With the Amish turning out at unprecedented
- 10:03Speaker 1: numbers in the twenty twenty four presidential election. The closest
- 10:09Speaker 1: I can get to a segue on this is the
- 10:12Speaker 1: Amish certainly know how to co opt things, right, the
- 10:15Speaker 1: whole socialist living thing, communism and type stuff, because they
- 10:19Speaker 1: all kind of pull their resources together live as one community.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Well there's across the pond, as they say, there was
- 10:25Speaker 1: an english Man who tried doing something similar with drugs.
- 10:33Speaker 1: So look, entrepreneurialship is very hard, right, Starting and running
- 10:41Speaker 1: your own business is time consuming, it's life consuming, it's
- 10:45Speaker 1: life altering, and if you want it to be successful,
- 10:49Speaker 1: you've got to go the extra mile. Well, sometimes you
- 10:51Speaker 1: just don't have a good business, maybe you don't have
- 10:54Speaker 1: a good plan, or maybe you just suck as an
- 10:57Speaker 1: entrepreneur in that particular industry. So what do you do?
- 11:00Speaker 1: You pivot? Well that's what that's what this man did.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Across the pond. John Pritchard turned to brokering wholesale drug
- 11:11Speaker 1: deals as his financial woes mounted during covid H. He
- 11:16Speaker 1: took extreme measures because his business began to fail and well,
- 11:20Speaker 1: you know you gotta do what you gotta do to
- 11:23Speaker 1: make ends meet, right, So what he did was he
- 11:27Speaker 1: found himself in a chat room on a platform called
- 11:30Speaker 1: incro chat, and he used the handle Lofty Cliff in
- 11:37Speaker 1: order to trade in kilogram quantities of cocaine and cannabis.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Plots to smuggle shipments into the UK from Holland were
- 11:47Speaker 1: also muted as he and his close allies formed a
- 11:51Speaker 1: cooperative drug supply chain.
- 11:55Speaker 3: Isn't it just called a cartel.
- 11:58Speaker 1: In the States, it would be sort of a cartel, okay,
- 12:02Speaker 1: But here in the UK, I guess they they thought
- 12:06Speaker 1: it fell short of cartel since it was just limited
- 12:08Speaker 1: to chat rooms. They thought, no, it just sounds more
- 12:12Speaker 1: like a co op because I feel like a cartel,
- 12:14Speaker 1: you have to reach a certain number of members, right, Yeah.
- 12:18Speaker 3: I don't know what that. I don't know what membership is.
- 12:22Speaker 6: You know, well, there was you know, like the Sineloa cartel,
- 12:24Speaker 6: which was kind of a conglomerate of different families versus
- 12:28Speaker 6: you know some that I just have one.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Yeah, gotcha. Okay, Well, what.
- 12:34Speaker 1: You're describing tray is just a corporation. So I guess,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I guess those are your three levels. Your your base
- 12:41Speaker 1: level when you're working with a group is co op.
- 12:44Speaker 1: So it's cooperative. Then if you rise to a certain level,
- 12:47Speaker 1: then you're a cartel. But then if you rise above cartel,
- 12:50Speaker 1: then you're just a corporation.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Coke ink I like it exists. Oh but that's what
- 13:03Speaker 1: happened in Liverpool Crown Court last week. Messages revealed when
- 13:08Speaker 1: the network was infiltrated by French police during twenty twenty.
- 13:12Speaker 1: It showed Pritchard's involvement in arranging the supply of one
- 13:16Speaker 1: and a half kilograms of cocaine and at least fifteen
- 13:19Speaker 1: kilos of cannabis. Again, keep in mind his handle that
- 13:23Speaker 1: he used is lofty Cliff.
- 13:26Speaker 6: This it's a brit infiltrated by the French. I mean
- 13:31Speaker 6: this with lofty Cliff. This sounds like a Monty Python sketch.
- 13:38Speaker 1: But wait, there's more of you. The forty six year
- 13:43Speaker 1: old Pritchard, again who went by the name lofty Cliff,
- 13:47Speaker 1: was also said to have agreed to a source or
- 13:50Speaker 1: I'm sorry, was also said to have agreed to source
- 13:53Speaker 1: a further five kilos of Class A drugs, although it
- 13:56Speaker 1: was unclear from his communications whether this transaction was with
- 14:00Speaker 1: Red Leader. Another handle was in fact completed. So if
- 14:05Speaker 1: you're following on the chat room handle, so far we
- 14:08Speaker 1: have lofty Cliff and Red Leader, right all right, Jamie
- 14:16Speaker 1: Baxter who very much a Star Wars fan. Jamie Baxter,
- 14:22Speaker 1: the prosecutor described lofty Cliff as effectively running around for
- 14:25Speaker 1: the supply of illicit substances with contacts known only in
- 14:29Speaker 1: the chat rooms as Ginger Jaw, Destructive Tailor, and Motocross Yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 1: all said to be equal partners in the operation. However,
- 14:39Speaker 1: their conversations also revealed issues with the quality of the
- 14:43Speaker 1: weed that they were supplying, with one customer complaining that
- 14:46Speaker 1: a sample of their drugs was not California strain and
- 14:49Speaker 1: instead appeared to be Spanish grown haze worth a fraction
- 14:53Speaker 1: of the praise.
- 14:54Speaker 3: M Yeah, I mean quality control is not a a
- 14:58Speaker 3: position they filled. I'm guessing now.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Although a chat with Snowy Orchid revealed a transaction for
- 15:05Speaker 1: one kilogram taking place during a COVID lockdown, Prettier, again
- 15:10Speaker 1: known as lofty Cliff, was also said to have discussed
- 15:13Speaker 1: the importation of cocaine from the Netherlands with his fellow
- 15:16Speaker 1: co conspirators.
- 15:17Speaker 6: Please tell me Snowy Orchid was buying coke because I
- 15:24Speaker 6: think you have to.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what that name you have to be. You
- 15:27Speaker 2: have to be buying coke.
- 15:28Speaker 3: They didn't know what the other Class A drugs were,
- 15:31Speaker 3: but China White sixty nine Dragon Chaser fifty four.
- 15:40Speaker 2: Uh, cheach is my hero.
- 15:47Speaker 3: It was actually cheap.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I'm my own hero.
- 15:56Speaker 7: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 15:59Speaker 8: Visit is online, Treehouse on air dot com.
- 16:09Speaker 1: Let's get Jaqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now.
- 16:12Speaker 1: For any and all of your plumbing wants and needs,
- 16:14Speaker 1: give her and all of them. They're a call two one, fourth,
- 16:17Speaker 1: three six eight thirty eight thirty eight the website Brooks
- 16:19Speaker 1: Plumbing Texas dot com. When I had my house in Dallas, Jacqueline,
- 16:23Speaker 1: you came out a few times to help us with
- 16:25Speaker 1: some issues, and your response time was phenomenal. And it
- 16:30Speaker 1: wasn't just because it was me. It was because that's
- 16:32Speaker 1: the kind of company you run. You go out of
- 16:34Speaker 1: your way trying to help every client and try to
- 16:37Speaker 1: get there as soon as you can.
- 16:38Speaker 9: Well, I mean, the reality of it is is that
- 16:41Speaker 9: plumbing is unfortunately a need and not so much a want. Yes,
- 16:44Speaker 9: you can want to remodel the bathroom and that's not pressing,
- 16:48Speaker 9: but typically when it comes to service or leak investigations,
- 16:51Speaker 9: et cetera, et cetera. If you've got to stoppage on
- 16:54Speaker 9: the mainline and you don't know and you keep putting
- 16:58Speaker 9: liquid or you know, waste into the drains. If it
- 17:03Speaker 9: has nowhere to go, we'll come back in the house.
- 17:06Speaker 9: And at that point in time, it's no longer a want,
- 17:09Speaker 9: it's a need, and that sort of thing can't wait.
- 17:12Speaker 9: When you have those emergencies, you have got to figure
- 17:16Speaker 9: out how to manage the crew so that you can
- 17:18Speaker 9: have the best response time.
- 17:20Speaker 1: That's right, and they'll show up and they'll do it quickly.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Call Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing for any and all of
- 17:25Speaker 1: those plumbing wants and needs two one, fourth, three six,
- 17:27Speaker 1: eight thirty eight, thirty eight and again that website Brooks
- 17:29Speaker 1: Plumbing Texas dot com.
- 17:45Speaker 7: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 17:47Speaker 8: Visit us online that treehouseonair dot com.
- 17:52Speaker 1: Look, all I'm saying is, if you're going to be
- 17:55Speaker 1: a drug dealer, maybe don't make your internet handle so
- 17:59Speaker 1: obvious Snowy Orchid that we learned that they were using
- 18:03Speaker 1: that one chat room in the UK. Don't don't let
- 18:08Speaker 1: your user name be drug user, you know, sixty nine.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Just just don't be so god obvious with it.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Key bump Mike, Yeah.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I mean, make the authorities work for it a little bit.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Like be just a little like you try to use
- 18:26Speaker 1: some type of code or I don't know, just an
- 18:29Speaker 1: outright head fake like sober Man twenty two. I think
- 18:33Speaker 1: that would stand a better chance of flying underneath the
- 18:36Speaker 1: radar of the police that are out to bust internet
- 18:39Speaker 1: drug rings.
- 18:40Speaker 3: Steve needs Blow seventy seven.
- 18:44Speaker 10: Skiing in the bathroom, I mean, just make it look.
- 18:54Speaker 1: One of the things we've we've learned from our dear friend,
- 18:57Speaker 1: Captain Mark Howard, Dallas County Sheriff's Office, Retired, is that
- 19:01Speaker 1: criminals are pretty stupid. Now, this part here that I'm
- 19:06Speaker 1: about to say is my own opinion, not his. Hollywood
- 19:11Speaker 1: has completely warped our brains. That's actually a good statement
- 19:17Speaker 1: in general, but more specifically to this topic. Hollywood has
- 19:21Speaker 1: warped our brains so much that we give criminals more
- 19:24Speaker 1: credit than they deserve. And this is a great example
- 19:27Speaker 1: of that. You have people trying to work a drug
- 19:31Speaker 1: co op online using handles like lofty cliff, which is
- 19:37Speaker 1: you're high, snowy Orchid, which is obviously it's like it's
- 19:42Speaker 1: like you might as well be Peruved was a Bolivian
- 19:44Speaker 1: marching powder dude. I mean, this is just stupid, which
- 19:49Speaker 1: is why we appreciate it.
- 19:50Speaker 2: But still.
- 19:53Speaker 6: The fact that you're using a chat room just in
- 19:58Speaker 6: and of itself.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I've seen this. Yeah it is British. I
- 20:05Speaker 1: mean I've seen this in some television shows and films
- 20:09Speaker 1: where terrorists or bad guys whatever they are, will use
- 20:14Speaker 1: chat rooms inside of video games. And I think that
- 20:17Speaker 1: was real at some point. I think that's taken from
- 20:20Speaker 1: from real life, but that was probably from twenty years ago.
- 20:22Speaker 1: That's how we're now seeing it in films. But there's
- 20:26Speaker 1: a show I was watching about Seal Team six back
- 20:29Speaker 1: in the day that was on History Channel, and if
- 20:31Speaker 1: I'm remembering this correctly, they used a video game to
- 20:35Speaker 1: talk to each other. So it's like it's like if
- 20:38Speaker 1: you were playing obviously, you know, Black Ops six would
- 20:41Speaker 1: be a little too obvious. But like, let's say you're
- 20:45Speaker 1: doing Pokemon Go. You could be doing Pokemon Go with friends,
- 20:51Speaker 1: and in the chat room inside the video game you
- 20:53Speaker 1: could have your nefarious chats and plans and things.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean Black Ops I was just like, you know,
- 21:00Speaker 3: they were using a video game called Black Tar seven.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Although now that I think about it, I am a
- 21:06Speaker 1: big proponent of sometimes the best place to hide is
- 21:09Speaker 1: out in the open. So if you were going to
- 21:12Speaker 1: arrange a real life drug deal, maybe a good spot
- 21:17Speaker 1: to do it would be in the middle of Grand
- 21:19Speaker 1: Theft Auto.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess if you're not hip to the game,
- 21:27Speaker 3: like I'm not a gamer, so I wouldn't know that's
- 21:30Speaker 3: where I could score. But I mean if I think
- 21:33Speaker 3: if you kind of understand like that culture whatever, and
- 21:37Speaker 3: you start talking to people and they start moving you around.
- 21:39Speaker 3: But chat rooms, I think is a little I don't know,
- 21:42Speaker 3: early like late nineties, when you're like and it's the
- 21:46Speaker 3: British though, so everybody's polite, like can I get a
- 21:48Speaker 3: spot of coke? Like?
- 21:53Speaker 6: I feel like when you start dealing in kilos you
- 21:56Speaker 6: need to go offline.
- 22:01Speaker 3: We should have a different segment called advice from Trey.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I'm all for that, by the way. I'm all for
- 22:09Speaker 1: a segment called advice from Trey. You just can't let
- 22:13Speaker 1: it be well, actually, maybe you can't allow it to
- 22:17Speaker 1: be romantic advice as well, because well that's Trey snickering
- 22:22Speaker 1: by the way, it's not anybody else. I think Advice
- 22:25Speaker 1: from Tray would work not only as a segment but
- 22:28Speaker 1: also just in general, I think his advice would probably
- 22:31Speaker 1: be heeded by most. I'd be curious to see how
- 22:34Speaker 1: it works on the relationship side of things, but he
- 22:37Speaker 1: certainly speaks from experience of what doesn't work.
- 22:40Speaker 2: I just like, yeah, those who can't do teach.
- 22:48Speaker 3: Trey Trenham drug consultant, like just the music, like Delilah,
- 22:55Speaker 3: just the music in the back, like advice from Trey
- 22:58Speaker 3: when dealing in pounds of weed, I turned the chat
- 23:01Speaker 3: room off.
- 23:02Speaker 1: Yeah. He does bring up an excellent point, which is
- 23:05Speaker 1: the only way that US Americans understand the metric system
- 23:08Speaker 1: is what it relates to drugs.
- 23:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that's when you have to go back and watch
- 23:14Speaker 3: the Nate Bargatzi Yeah, Washington, Yes, when he explains the metrics.
- 23:20Speaker 3: I love the American philosophy of the metric system because
- 23:24Speaker 3: they tried to introduce it, and I think trade might
- 23:26Speaker 3: remember this when we were kids. Yeah, in the early eighties.
- 23:30Speaker 2: No, no, it was late seventies. It was Jimmy Carter
- 23:32Speaker 2: was oh yeah, they failed.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, they said to change all the books to
- 23:39Speaker 3: get all the metric system and all of the books
- 23:41Speaker 3: needed that it would cost over a billion dollars and
- 23:44Speaker 3: the US went Now we're.
- 23:46Speaker 6: Good books and also all the highway signs. Oh yeah,
- 23:51Speaker 6: it was a big deal. I mean obviously should have
- 23:54Speaker 6: done it.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, the US was like how much a billion
- 23:59Speaker 3: dollars to educate the globally? Absolutely not.
- 24:03Speaker 1: That wasn't the issue though it wasn't. It wasn't spending
- 24:05Speaker 1: a billion dollars to educate the kids and teach them.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Where it failed is having to grandfather in our grandparents
- 24:14Speaker 1: to where they would have to learn the new system.
- 24:17Speaker 1: That's where it failed teach. What they should have done
- 24:20Speaker 1: was just put the signs up with both sets of numbers,
- 24:24Speaker 1: so that way the people that learned the American system
- 24:28Speaker 1: wouldn't have to change, because God knows, we don't like change.
- 24:32Speaker 1: People in general do not like change. I'll tell you
- 24:34Speaker 1: right now. They could put that whole thing up for
- 24:39Speaker 1: a vote today. Same thing. Let's shift the metric system,
- 24:43Speaker 1: because if we take a step back and take our
- 24:45Speaker 1: emotions out of it, it just makes sense that we
- 24:48Speaker 1: should do it right. But I don't want to. I
- 24:52Speaker 1: am forty five years old. I am in no mood
- 24:54Speaker 1: to learn anything new. My brain is full. The only
- 24:57Speaker 1: way I'm inserting new information into my brain is if
- 25:00Speaker 1: it makes me money or makes me happy, or if
- 25:04Speaker 1: it's random information that I have no choice over the
- 25:06Speaker 1: matter that it stays in my brain that's sports or
- 25:08Speaker 1: movie related. Outside of those things, I'm not changing.
- 25:12Speaker 3: Okay, Now, I know how we get to for you
- 25:15Speaker 3: to stop watching really bad movies is we just title
- 25:18Speaker 3: them with the metric system. So like, if it's like
- 25:21Speaker 3: a really crappy horror movie, we'll just call it like
- 25:25Speaker 3: forty two grams. And you're like, I'm out, I come out.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I don't want to watch it. I have no interest.
- 25:30Speaker 1: One hundred and twenty seven hours, I'll watch.
- 25:32Speaker 3: That thirty eight kilometers out.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Hugh, I'll never see it. But I'm a firm
- 25:42Speaker 1: believer in letting kids learn because they don't have all
- 25:46Speaker 1: the baggage that we do as adults. They're capable of
- 25:50Speaker 1: learning things. So that's what you do. If you wanted
- 25:52Speaker 1: to introduce it today that this is what they should
- 25:53Speaker 1: have done in the seventies, they could do it today.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Is I don't have to learn anything new as a
- 25:58Speaker 1: middle aged man, but put both sets of numbers on
- 26:01Speaker 1: the signs and then teach the kids the metric system.
- 26:03Speaker 1: That way, when we all die, the American system pretty
- 26:07Speaker 1: much dies with us, and then the kids now have
- 26:09Speaker 1: the metric system like the rest of the world, and
- 26:11Speaker 1: then it makes sense.
- 26:12Speaker 6: Daniel, I hate to pop, you know, burst your balloon
- 26:15Speaker 6: on this. Kids today have trouble with manual clocks.
- 26:20Speaker 3: Yes, yes, that is a fact. I won't mention who
- 26:25Speaker 3: in my house has that issue.
- 26:28Speaker 1: Well, considering there's three people in your house. One is
- 26:30Speaker 1: your what is your girlfriend? And then there is a
- 26:35Speaker 1: is a teenage girl.
- 26:37Speaker 3: And I was like, Hey, what time is it? And
- 26:40Speaker 3: we were going to the hospital and we had to
- 26:42Speaker 3: sign in and she looked up and then looked at
- 26:44Speaker 3: her phone, and I was like, you don't know how
- 26:45Speaker 3: to read a clock?
- 26:47Speaker 1: You know why rise because that's not skibbity. If you
- 26:52Speaker 1: know how to read an analog clock, you have no riz.
- 26:58Speaker 1: By the way, I have absolutely no idea what I
- 27:01Speaker 1: just said.
- 27:01Speaker 3: I think you ordered drugs from lofty Cliff. I think that.
- 27:10Speaker 7: You're listening to the Treehouse.
- 27:13Speaker 8: Visit us online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 27:31Speaker 11: You're in the Treehouse.
- 27:33Speaker 4: Visit us online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 27:37Speaker 1: That previous segment of the Treehouses brought to you by
- 27:40Speaker 1: COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration. For your free roof inspection and
- 27:45Speaker 1: get yourself on the cooklist. Go to cookdfw dot com
- 27:48Speaker 1: or call Daniel and Kerrycook right now eight three three
- 27:50Speaker 1: cook DFW. That's eight three three Cook DFW, or again
- 27:54Speaker 1: the website cook dfw dot com. All right, it is
- 28:00Speaker 1: Thursday inside the Treehouse, and I think that means it's
- 28:02Speaker 1: time for a little throwback inside the treehouse. In honor
- 28:08Speaker 1: of our country electing a new president this week, and
- 28:14Speaker 1: in honor of something that was brought up a week
- 28:17Speaker 1: or two ago inside the Treehouse, I think it's time
- 28:20Speaker 1: we throw it all the way back to nineteen sixty
- 28:23Speaker 1: four to then President and Texan Lyndon Baines Johnson. LBJ
- 28:33Speaker 1: had definitely no ordinary presidency. His time in the White
- 28:40Speaker 1: House was interesting, to say the least. And let's I
- 28:46Speaker 1: think it's fair to say that he left his mark,
- 28:49Speaker 1: including on the pants industry. Because not everyone realizes this,
- 28:54Speaker 1: but every communication in the White House is supposed to
- 28:58Speaker 1: be recorded, especially when it involves the president for historical
- 29:01Speaker 1: record keeping, right, Trey.
- 29:03Speaker 2: Yes, Nick, that out the hard way he did?
- 29:07Speaker 1: He did. What do you mean there's tapes? Well, I
- 29:17Speaker 1: kind of assume LBJ didn't know about the tapes either,
- 29:19Speaker 1: because there was one day in the Oval office where
- 29:22Speaker 1: he issued national security briefings and alien stuff, to call
- 29:28Speaker 1: a man named John Hager because he needed because he
- 29:32Speaker 1: needed some new pants. I hope if you've never heard this,
- 29:38Speaker 1: you're welcome. Here is LBJ President LBJ ordering pants from
- 29:42Speaker 1: nineteen sixty four.
- 29:46Speaker 12: Hello, Hello, mister Joe. Joe, your father, the one that
- 29:53Speaker 12: makes close yet there we're all together, all made me
- 29:57Speaker 12: some real lightweight slacks. He just made up on his
- 30:03Speaker 12: own triple months ago. It's a kind of a light
- 30:07Speaker 12: brown and a light green, rather soft green and soft brown.
- 30:12Speaker 12: Now I need about sex pears for some aware. I
- 30:17Speaker 12: need about sex pairs where around in the evening. When
- 30:20Speaker 12: I come in from work and I can send you
- 30:23Speaker 12: a pair, I want him half inch larger in the
- 30:26Speaker 12: waist than the where before.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I also like to think about how again, this is
- 30:31Speaker 1: nineteen sixty four. The Red Wave is underway, like the
- 30:37Speaker 1: groundwork for Vietnam is being laid. You're fresh off the
- 30:41Speaker 1: Bay of Pigs. You know, the commis are doing stuff
- 30:45Speaker 1: all around the globe, including you know, doing stuff in Cuba.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Your buddy just got shot.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Well he's over that apparently. Yeah, this is this is
- 30:58Speaker 1: almost a year later after the Kennedy assassination. But that
- 31:02Speaker 1: means it's.
- 31:03Speaker 2: Time for some new pants.
- 31:05Speaker 1: And today's White House, the president is not ordering his
- 31:08Speaker 1: own pants. Someone does that for him or her if
- 31:11Speaker 1: we ever elect one. I don't think any recent president
- 31:19Speaker 1: I can recall her that I've heard of has been
- 31:22Speaker 1: calling up, you know, Louis Vatan saying I need some
- 31:26Speaker 1: new socks.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Yeah. I think this is the reason. This, this phone
- 31:29Speaker 3: call is the reason why they no longer allow the
- 31:31Speaker 3: president to make phone calls for his own pants.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Well, let's hear why two.
- 31:37Speaker 12: Or three inches of stuff back in there, so I
- 31:40Speaker 12: take them up. I very fifteen pounds a month.
- 31:44Speaker 1: What the hell was he eating in the sixties that
- 31:46Speaker 1: you're varying ten to fifteen pounds each month?
- 31:48Speaker 3: My god, man, I know it's a very stressful job,
- 31:52Speaker 3: but it's one of those like if you're in there
- 31:54Speaker 3: and gaining weight, like, I don't know how that works.
- 31:59Speaker 1: Man, I'm loving it. This is great. They got a
- 32:01Speaker 1: kitchen staff twenty four to seven. This is phenomenal. You
- 32:08Speaker 1: really do. You had a chef and everything.
- 32:10Speaker 12: Yeah, so leave me at least two and a half
- 32:14Speaker 12: per inches in the back where I can let them
- 32:15Speaker 12: out or take them up, and makes a half inch
- 32:18Speaker 12: bigger in the waist, make the pockets at least an
- 32:21Speaker 12: inch longer. Money, my money, and my knife, everything fall out. Wait, hello, hello,
- 32:30Speaker 12: now another thing with crutch down where your nuts hang.
- 32:34Speaker 1: Is all now are into the good stuff. This is
- 32:37Speaker 1: the good stuff. As far as LBJ order in his packerst.
- 32:40Speaker 3: I don't think anybody ever referred to his nuts as
- 32:42Speaker 3: the good stuff.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Ever.
- 32:44Speaker 1: I think he did.
- 32:47Speaker 12: The crutch down where your nuts hang is always a
- 32:50Speaker 12: little too tight, So when you make them up, give
- 32:53Speaker 12: me an inch that I can let out there.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Because they just imagine you're John Hager. You're a clothing
- 33:00Speaker 1: down Joe. You're Joe Hager. You're minding your own business
- 33:04Speaker 1: making some pants, making clothes, and all of a sudden
- 33:07Speaker 1: someone says, hey, President Johnson's on the phone for you.
- 33:12Speaker 1: You're like, oh my god, this is amazing. And then
- 33:16Speaker 1: after being on the phone with him for about a
- 33:18Speaker 1: minute and a half, now you're hearing about how low
- 33:20Speaker 1: his nuts hanging can you make plenty of room in
- 33:22Speaker 1: your new custom pants that you're going to make for
- 33:24Speaker 1: him so President Johnson's Johnson has a room to breathe.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I also have to understand he's taking notes, like
- 33:31Speaker 3: at the beginning of this, like okay, one to two inches, Okay.
- 33:34Speaker 3: He varies about ten to fifteen pounds per month, depending on,
- 33:38Speaker 3: you know, the stress level that he's at. And he
- 33:40Speaker 3: you know, these have to be a light green or
- 33:42Speaker 3: a soft green or soft gray, you know, light so
- 33:45Speaker 3: he can when he comes home from work, apparently, because.
- 33:47Speaker 1: Yeah, because these are evening pants.
- 33:50Speaker 3: You know, I often find myself changing in the evening. Pas.
- 33:56Speaker 1: It was a different time back then. I mean, think
- 33:58Speaker 1: back to uh, think back to mister Rogers. We also
- 34:00Speaker 1: we all watched mister Rogers growing up. Right, He had
- 34:03Speaker 1: his suit that he had on from whatever job that
- 34:06Speaker 1: he supposedly had, coming into his home. And what did't
- 34:08Speaker 1: he do? He would leave the tie on, right, but
- 34:11Speaker 1: he'd take the jacket off, put on a cardigan. He'd
- 34:14Speaker 1: take off his work loafers and then put on his
- 34:16Speaker 1: house loafers. I mean you you basically still wore a
- 34:20Speaker 1: suit around the house. It's weird.
- 34:23Speaker 3: Yeah, please please please finish this call, because it gets
- 34:29Speaker 3: really good here.
- 34:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, you think it's peaked with nuts,
- 34:33Speaker 1: but I don't know.
- 34:33Speaker 3: No, no.
- 34:36Speaker 12: Fans, these are almost the best that I've had anywhere
- 34:39Speaker 12: in the United States. But uh, on that game at weight,
- 34:43Speaker 12: they cut me under there. Leave me. You never do
- 34:48Speaker 12: have much margin that if you can't leave me about
- 34:51Speaker 12: it from the part of the separate around.
- 34:58Speaker 3: So he's drinking, right, we can all agree he's drinking.
- 35:01Speaker 1: I don't think he's drinking. I think he's I think
- 35:03Speaker 1: he's I think he's having himself. Uh, you know, he's
- 35:05Speaker 1: probably eating lunch. He's probably making this call get putting
- 35:08Speaker 1: in order for pants with Joe Hager on his lunch break.
- 35:12Speaker 3: I'm just saying, if you, if you listen to it,
- 35:14Speaker 3: if he like when the before the belt, if you
- 35:16Speaker 3: listen to it and go he's kind of sauced, it
- 35:20Speaker 3: makes the whole conversation makes sense.
- 35:24Speaker 2: LBJ was notoriously crude. Mm hmm.
- 35:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:27Speaker 6: But I'm also and that's why that's why, you know,
- 35:29Speaker 6: everyone who ever worked for him saw his penis because
- 35:32Speaker 6: I mean he never closed the door.
- 35:34Speaker 2: He wanted to show it off to everyone.
- 35:36Speaker 6: Uh, you know Oval office, foreign leaders wiped it out
- 35:40Speaker 6: into you know, reporters.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Yeah, And in retrospect, I bet Joe Hager was relieved
- 35:45Speaker 1: that Johnson just called him because imagine, imagine this is
- 35:53Speaker 1: not a phone call. And LBJ walks into Hagar's, you know, shop,
- 35:56Speaker 1: and it's like, all right, and he starts pointing at
- 35:58Speaker 1: all the all the places that he wants taken in
- 36:00Speaker 1: and taken out. And then when he says nuts, that's
- 36:03Speaker 1: obviously gonna come out. And then when he's talking about
- 36:06Speaker 1: riding a wire fence, he's going to be doing the
- 36:08Speaker 1: gestures like he's riding a wire fence. And then you
- 36:11Speaker 1: got to listen to him eat and then belch in
- 36:13Speaker 1: your face. But that's still not the worst part.
- 36:16Speaker 12: For best part, And h round under my back to
- 36:20Speaker 12: my bung hole out there.
- 36:24Speaker 1: So now you know if in person, LBJ is gonna
- 36:26Speaker 1: be turning around and pointing at it all right here,
- 36:28Speaker 1: I need an inch or two mark right here. And
- 36:31Speaker 1: you know, you see this right here in my bung hole.
- 36:33Speaker 3: You see it?
- 36:33Speaker 1: Do you see it? Do you see it? Can you
- 36:34Speaker 1: see it?
- 36:35Speaker 2: Can you smell it? Especially Hager Slacks was based in Dallas.
- 36:42Speaker 6: LBJ looked at him and goes, you've seen what happens
- 36:44Speaker 6: to people I don't like in Dallas.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Or maybe that's why, or maybe that's why LBJ called
- 36:52Speaker 1: instead of showing up in person.
- 36:56Speaker 3: And can you scotch guard these? So nothing nothing, nothing
- 36:59Speaker 3: land anything that lands on it slides right off.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Yeah, right here along. My bunghole stays clean. And you
- 37:05Speaker 1: know you want to know how my bunghole's clean, Sniff it.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Come on, sniff the presidential.
- 37:10Speaker 12: Bunghole, my bunghole so I can read it out there
- 37:14Speaker 12: if I need to. Now, be sure you got the
- 37:17Speaker 12: best slippers in them. These are good that I have.
- 37:21Speaker 13: And because there's one thing you don't want is you
- 37:26Speaker 13: don't want President Johnson's Johnson free roaming around the White
- 37:30Speaker 13: House because of a faulty zipper.
- 37:34Speaker 3: Is it the zipper's fault.
- 37:40Speaker 12: Was coming? I will sure be grateful. Where would you like.
- 37:44Speaker 1: To Actually, the other thing you think about with these,
- 37:47Speaker 1: make sure you get the good zippers. I think what
- 37:49Speaker 1: he means is you want to make sure the zippers
- 37:51Speaker 1: are on the outside, not the inside, because when you've
- 37:53Speaker 1: got to when you're Johnson's as big as President Johnson's was,
- 37:57Speaker 1: right at a certain point, they actually have arms of
- 38:00Speaker 1: its own. So if you have the zipper accessible on
- 38:03Speaker 1: the inside, then it could actually undo it itself and
- 38:05Speaker 1: then go hello like.
- 38:07Speaker 2: An elephant trunk.
- 38:08Speaker 6: Yeah, all of a sudden, it's grabbing a peanut off
- 38:11Speaker 6: the desk.
- 38:16Speaker 1: I mean, that's it's national security if that thing just
- 38:19Speaker 1: jumps out in the middle of a of a you know,
- 38:22Speaker 1: a briefing or you're you have another head of state
- 38:25Speaker 1: in the Oval office, and you know, and then you know,
- 38:28Speaker 1: it's just eating peanuts off the resolute.
- 38:30Speaker 3: Desk scare of the Japanese ambassador.
- 38:37Speaker 12: Coming. I would sure be grateful. Where would you like,
- 38:41Speaker 12: White House? I'm just sure well appreciate this. So I
- 38:44Speaker 12: need it more than anything, and I.
- 38:46Speaker 1: Need this more than global peace. I need this more
- 38:49Speaker 1: than I need then I need an updated atomic moomb
- 38:52Speaker 1: I need this more than I need the commis out
- 38:54Speaker 1: of Asia. Uh yeah, this is the most important thing
- 38:57Speaker 1: going on in the White House right now. Nineteen sixty
- 38:59Speaker 1: four is me needing new pants space race. How can
- 39:06Speaker 1: you be expected to race to space in subpar pants?
- 39:14Speaker 2: You can't, especially when your anus isn't comfortable.
- 39:18Speaker 1: Oh, there it is.
- 39:24Speaker 11: You're in the Treehouse.
- 39:29Speaker 4: Visit us online Treehouse on air dot com.

- 41:16Speaker 3: A big fan of his.
- 41:18Speaker 1: Yunjin Kim is fifty one. He played Son on Lost
- 41:23Speaker 1: and Karen on Mistresses. Maybe that's she. I think I
- 41:29Speaker 1: had mixed up my Asians there. Sorry, Raj, It's okay.
- 41:34Speaker 3: I don't know why you apologize to me on behalf
- 41:36Speaker 3: of all agents, you're forgiven Dan.
- 41:41Speaker 1: You're the closest, so I figured i'd apologize to you.
- 41:46Speaker 1: It's a lot easier than you know, having to to
- 41:49Speaker 1: just find one to apologize to, and they're not gonna
- 41:51Speaker 1: know why. I may get away with me. Weird honky man.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Other birthdays today Morgan Spurlock from Super Size Me. According
- 41:59Speaker 1: to this it says he's fifty four, but I'm pretty
- 42:02Speaker 1: sure he died earlier this year.
- 42:04Speaker 3: He did. He died from the arterial disease.
- 42:09Speaker 1: For a man that lived on McDonald's for however many
- 42:13Speaker 1: days and made a documentary out of it, became famous for.
- 42:15Speaker 3: It, and then it killed him. Died a heart disease. Yes,
- 42:20Speaker 3: you gotta.
- 42:21Speaker 1: You have to understand that when the camera stops, so
- 42:25Speaker 1: should you. Yeah, the documentary was called Supersize Me right.
- 42:33Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a really really good documentary as well.
- 42:37Speaker 3: But he, I mean he he paid the price for it, true,
- 42:41Speaker 3: true artiste.
- 42:43Speaker 1: So I never actually saw it, and it was so
- 42:45Speaker 1: long ago that that came out. I think it was
- 42:47Speaker 1: early mid two thousands, was the premise of his documentary.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Because he lived on McDonald's for like a month.
- 42:55Speaker 3: Or thirty days, thirty days, every single meal for thirty days.
- 42:59Speaker 1: And did he gain weight or lose weight?
- 43:01Speaker 3: He lost weight, okay, just because it was so horribly
- 43:06Speaker 3: bad for your body, like you weren't actually getting nutrients
- 43:10Speaker 3: and vitamins and things that you need.
- 43:12Speaker 1: It was it was more chemicals versus actual food stuff.
- 43:17Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, I mean McDonald's is good every now and again,
- 43:22Speaker 3: you shouldn't live on it, no, uh, And he was
- 43:26Speaker 3: doing I think he did, like I think he varied
- 43:28Speaker 3: the meals up per day, but it was always like
- 43:30Speaker 3: quarter pound of a cheese or a big mac for
- 43:32Speaker 3: lunch or whatever. So but he did their breakfast every
- 43:35Speaker 3: morning and then lunch and dinner snack was an apple
- 43:39Speaker 3: pie and all that good stuff.
- 43:41Speaker 1: And ironically, nowadays you actually have a few healthy options
- 43:45Speaker 1: on the menu whereas you know, back then when he
- 43:48Speaker 1: shot the documentary, I don't really think there were many
- 43:50Speaker 1: healthy options on the menu.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean even their salad isn't It isn't the healthiest,
- 43:57Speaker 3: but I mean it's close enough. Like the only thing
- 43:59Speaker 3: that gets an A on the McDonald's menu is lettuce.
- 44:05Speaker 1: You just can't. You just can't put it near anything.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I mean, that's kind of the downside of lettuce anyway.
- 44:11Speaker 1: It's like you know, I mean, because like they say
- 44:13Speaker 1: that you can eat a salad, and a salad can
- 44:16Speaker 1: have more calories in it than a big mac, depending
- 44:18Speaker 1: on how much dressing you put on it along with
- 44:21Speaker 1: other toppings. And I know that from first hand experience
- 44:25Speaker 1: because I remember as a kid going to Mazio's. Right
- 44:28Speaker 1: going to Mazio's. It was one of those Midwestern places
- 44:32Speaker 1: that it had the pizza and then the salad bar
- 44:35Speaker 1: and video games in one section of the restaurant, and
- 44:38Speaker 1: it was a big Friday night Martinsville local Homa. Let
- 44:40Speaker 1: me tell you the Knights that we went to Mazio's
- 44:43Speaker 1: and that salad bar was a gold mine because I'd
- 44:48Speaker 1: get a little bit of lettuce, but that was mainly
- 44:50Speaker 1: just honestly none to think about it. I don't know
- 44:52Speaker 1: why I bothered to get the lettuce. I didn't really
- 44:53Speaker 1: ever eat it. I'm like six seven years old. I'd
- 44:56Speaker 1: get those crunchy breadsticks and about a gallon gallon and
- 44:59Speaker 1: a half a rant, uh croutons, some cheese, some bacon.
- 45:05Speaker 3: Did they have the cubed ham? Did the hell?
- 45:07Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 45:08Speaker 3: Oh yeah?
- 45:09Speaker 1: The hand the turkey. Yeah. And that was my appetizer
- 45:13Speaker 1: before I got the pizza. I guess what I'm getting
- 45:17Speaker 1: at is that Morgan's furlock died this year and I
- 45:20Speaker 1: may not be far by, or just the fact that
- 45:24Speaker 1: I made it to ten was doing pretty good.
- 45:28Speaker 3: That's why you were running into playground equipment because I.
- 45:31Speaker 1: Was running on ranch.

- 46:29Speaker 3: Uh, there's a pizza in here in Mesquite that has Yeah.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pizza in. I didn't think they were around anymore.
- 46:37Speaker 3: Uh, there's a there's a there's a handful. I think
- 46:40Speaker 3: there's one like off a Carol near near the hospital downtown.
- 46:45Speaker 3: But we have one here in Mesquite. I mean it's
- 46:47Speaker 3: been there since I was a kid. It's directly across
- 46:50Speaker 3: from the high school and they have the salad bar
- 46:52Speaker 3: and I completely forgot went into do the buffet because
- 46:56Speaker 3: it's still a lunch so when it opens, it's a
- 46:59Speaker 3: buffer all the way through like eight thirty pm. Yeah,
- 47:04Speaker 3: and I went in like just an.
- 47:06Speaker 1: Full of nostalgia right there.
- 47:08Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, I mean, so it's South Asian owned, so
- 47:10Speaker 3: I usually go in and I you know, I speak
- 47:12Speaker 3: the language, so I talk with the guys that work
- 47:14Speaker 3: there and own it.
- 47:15Speaker 12: Uh.
- 47:16Speaker 3: And so you.
- 47:17Speaker 1: Go to the you go to the pizza place to
- 47:18Speaker 1: speak what language.
- 47:21Speaker 3: Or it's Pakistani owned, so I go in and I
- 47:24Speaker 3: speak or do with the guy and as opposed to Italian, Yes,
- 47:28Speaker 3: but uh, Uh. He always hooks it up. So he
- 47:31Speaker 3: gives me like for for like I'll order one pizza
- 47:33Speaker 3: and he'll give me like an extra pizza, like a
- 47:35Speaker 3: dessert pizza. So it's always nice. So this time I
- 47:38Speaker 3: was like, you know what, let's go in and sit
- 47:39Speaker 3: down and actually, you know, uh, spend our money inside
- 47:43Speaker 3: the store. And uh, I saw the salad bar and
- 47:47Speaker 3: when you said saladbar, when I saw that chopped ham,
- 47:50Speaker 3: I was like, oh my god, I remember that as
- 47:51Speaker 3: a kid, and I did the same. I caught myself
- 47:54Speaker 3: doing the same thing. I'm like a little bit of lettuce,
- 47:57Speaker 3: some cheese. Uh, and then I went for the ham
- 48:00Speaker 3: and I was like, what am I doing? I'm forty
- 48:03Speaker 3: nine when I'm good. I can't. I can't afford to
- 48:08Speaker 3: have my obituary was like, you know, he died what
- 48:11Speaker 3: he was doing, doing what he loved, eating ham. I can't.
- 48:16Speaker 3: I can't have that as a Hindu and as.
- 48:19Speaker 1: A person, bring shame upon the whole family.
- 48:24Speaker 3: I did that doing being a comedian. I did that already.
- 48:28Speaker 1: Yeah, no double dipping for you, sir.
- 48:32Speaker 3: But yeah, so I caught myself doing the same thing.
- 48:34Speaker 3: I'm like, I did I think I have four thousand
- 48:36Speaker 3: calories on this salad right now, So let's just put
- 48:41Speaker 3: this away. I did take a bite for nostalgias sake,
- 48:44Speaker 3: and it was God, it was good.
- 48:48Speaker 6: I never knew what what the thing would be that
- 48:50Speaker 6: made me want to come to Mesquite.
- 48:52Speaker 3: Here you go, I will buy if you eats in,
- 48:56Speaker 3: I will buy you that beats in and buffet. I
- 48:58Speaker 3: won't take you to dinner.
- 49:00Speaker 1: If if Mesquite, Texas suburb outside of Dallas has a
- 49:04Speaker 1: tourism department, now's the time to unleash it. We're talking
- 49:08Speaker 1: state white billboard campaign, and you know what, go ahead
- 49:12Speaker 1: and dip into southern Oklahoma, Arkansas, uh, Western Louisiana. Go
- 49:17Speaker 1: ahead and put a billboard up in chiabah Bah, Mexico
- 49:20Speaker 1: that says, visit Mesquite. We've got a pizza in.
- 49:24Speaker 3: Forget the rodeo.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Forget forget the rodeo, forget the gun show. You come
- 49:29Speaker 1: for the pizza in.
- 49:31Speaker 3: You come for the pizza, you stay for the gun show.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Oh my god, make a pizza too. That's the best
- 49:42Speaker 1: day ever.
- 49:46Speaker 3: That's just in the parking lot of the pizza in.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Yeah no, no, that's not that's not the gun show.
- 49:51Speaker 1: That's just celebratory gunfire because they found a pizza.
- 49:53Speaker 3: In Yeah, Trey, if you make it all the way
- 50:00Speaker 3: over here, I will gladly buy you. You will escort him,
- 50:06Speaker 3: I will walk you through the salad bart's show you
- 50:10Speaker 3: where it is. They also they also have I don't
- 50:12Speaker 3: know why uh be with tots. I can't even explain
- 50:16Speaker 3: that one, but.
- 50:17Speaker 1: It's they've so they've made improvements upon the salad bar.
- 50:22Speaker 3: I just look at it and go, well, it's a mosquite.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Is it next to like the cheese fountain.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Or no, it's next to the spaghetti and meat sauce.
- 50:34Speaker 3: And then there's so it's a full the full on buffet.
- 50:39Speaker 1: You bet your sweet, of course he is. Why do
- 50:42Speaker 1: you think we're all out the parking lot?
- 50:48Speaker 3: The gunshot is just how you get the ambulance to stop.
- 50:52Speaker 1: Somebody been shot? Now just a heart attack? Too much, damn.
- 50:58Speaker 6: Go for the pizza of it. Stay to walk the
- 51:00Speaker 6: people that hold out waiting for you know what pizzas
- 51:02Speaker 6: are coming out next on the buffet. And then there's
- 51:05Speaker 6: a mad rush when it's the good one.
- 51:06Speaker 3: Oh there is, I watch it.
- 51:10Speaker 1: You've lived it is that sausage and pepperoni.
