- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, Heidi Ho, NewsRadio 570, Dodie Kubien and Ron Verm. Welcome,
- 0:03Speaker 1: 306 here on a Wednesday afternoon. How about this, man?
- 0:08Speaker 1: It's getting awful dry out there, wasn't it? So it's
- 0:12Speaker 1: another overcast, rainy day. And been that way most of
- 0:17Speaker 1: the day today. And so more rain in my neck
- 0:20Speaker 1: of the woods as I sit here on Tiffany Boulevard
- 0:23Speaker 1: in Boardman on a overcast, rainy day on this Wednesday,
- 0:26Speaker 1: May 20th. Sunshine to you, though, no matter what the weather.
- 0:29Speaker 2: All right.
- 0:30Speaker 1: It's chilly out there, too, 55 degrees this afternoon from
- 0:33Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570. Well, let me sit down and see what
- 0:38Speaker 1: awaits me here on today's broadcast. You're on the air.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Hi, Ron.
- 0:42Speaker 4: How are you today?
- 0:43Speaker 1: J.J. the Liberal. Fine. Go ahead, please.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Did you see his introduction to Trump Rx last night?
- 0:53Speaker 4: But he's starting where you get cheaper prescriptions, and I
- 0:59Speaker 4: guess he's implementing something where on certain prescriptions you're going
- 1:05Speaker 4: to get some discounts. And I don't know if you
- 1:07Speaker 4: saw that last night.
- 1:08Speaker 1: No, I did not. I was more interested in watching.
- 1:11Speaker 1: The only thing that I was really interested in was
- 1:14Speaker 1: the outcome in Kentucky with Massey. And I'm one of
- 1:19Speaker 1: those people, I think it's definitely sad that he lost re-election.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I think what you saw last night, that's what I
- 1:25Speaker 1: was most interested in because I agreed with Tom Massey
- 1:28Speaker 1: on so many things. But basically, I agreed with Tom
- 1:31Speaker 1: Massey on the Epstein files. I agreed with him as
- 1:34Speaker 1: far as the war in Iran is concerned. And I
- 1:37Speaker 1: also agreed with him on foreign aid and eliminating foreign aid.
- 1:42Speaker 1: And he was eliminated. with $ 10 million that's outside money
- 1:50Speaker 1: just coming from Israel to defeat Thomas Massey. So the
- 1:55Speaker 1: people that are opposed to the influence of all this
- 1:59Speaker 1: foreign aid money, the Marjorie Taylor Greene's, the Tommy Massey
- 2:04Speaker 1: and these people are all being eliminated. So everybody else
- 2:07Speaker 1: will be on the hook who takes huge donations from
- 2:10Speaker 1: from these lobbyists and will sell their soul, not necessarily
- 2:14Speaker 1: in the best interest of the country, in my opinion.
- 2:17Speaker 4: I agree. Again, I think I can be reasonable, not
- 2:24Speaker 4: because Thomas Massey so much was disagreeing with Trump, but
- 2:27Speaker 4: he was still holding his position as far as a
- 2:31Speaker 4: lot of the things you just suggested, which I agree
- 2:33Speaker 4: with also. I believe that we should keep the money
- 2:35Speaker 4: at home when you're in a position that you can't
- 2:38Speaker 4: help out other people from other countries based on only
- 2:43Speaker 4: certain circumstances. I think that we are, as a country
- 2:47Speaker 4: that leads the way, we should be able to assist
- 2:51Speaker 4: a little bit. But in the way that things are
- 2:53Speaker 4: going right now, that we need to keep things at home,
- 2:56Speaker 4: I agree with the Epstein files and keeping that open because, again,
- 3:00Speaker 4: it was certain people in the Republican Party that opened
- 3:02Speaker 4: up that that bag of worms there. But nonetheless, it
- 3:06Speaker 4: was a sad thing that once you speak out, it
- 3:10Speaker 4: can be detrimental to you, not only in your career,
- 3:13Speaker 4: but people view you. So I was very disappointed as well.
- 3:18Speaker 4: But the reason why I brought that up is that
- 3:22Speaker 4: in between that, he was asked a question about the
- 3:24Speaker 4: $ 1. 8 billion that was going to assist people that were
- 3:30Speaker 4: supposedly wronged by the The Department of Justice during Biden's administration,
- 3:37Speaker 4: which I thought it's not good because that money can
- 3:42Speaker 4: be dispersed by people that want to help out people. Again,
- 3:45Speaker 4: whether you agree or not, but about January 6th, these
- 3:49Speaker 4: people are going to get money. Not only did they
- 3:52Speaker 4: get their freedom, they're going to get assistance based on
- 3:56Speaker 4: the idea that they were being mistreated by the government.
- 3:59Speaker 4: And the Department, which I, again, I don't want to
- 4:04Speaker 4: keep beating up, but it was that corruption right there.
- 4:06Speaker 4: And I have to make, I have to call it
- 4:09Speaker 4: when I see it.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Right. There's a couple of things that you brought up,
- 4:16Speaker 1: that you bring up that I'd like to talk about. Listen,
- 4:20Speaker 1: I'm not opposed to the, first of all, you've got
- 4:22Speaker 1: to start with the background here. Obviously, Trump's tax return,
- 4:26Speaker 1: I think Trump, Sean Hannity, so many of these people,
- 4:30Speaker 1: if you remember the time, were given, done an injustice
- 4:33Speaker 1: to by their tax returns being leaked to the media. Now,
- 4:37Speaker 1: I fault, obviously, the guy that leaked him. Ultimately, they've
- 4:40Speaker 1: tracked down who that was. And he was actually got
- 4:44Speaker 1: a prison sentence for that, as he should have. I mean,
- 4:47Speaker 1: he seemed to be a guy in the IRS that
- 4:49Speaker 1: hated conservatives, hated Sean Hannity, hated Trump. Trump and he
- 4:54Speaker 1: released their private information. And that is that is wrong.
- 4:58Speaker 1: It should never have been done. As far as I'm concerned,
- 5:02Speaker 1: they tracked him down and and he's punished as a
- 5:05Speaker 1: result of it. However, I also fault I have to
- 5:09Speaker 1: fault the media outlets. that received this information, they knew
- 5:15Speaker 1: it was gathered illegally, that it was illegal how it
- 5:18Speaker 1: was gathered, and they published it because of their hatred
- 5:21Speaker 1: of Trump. So you take the New York Times and
- 5:24Speaker 1: these entities that when this information was released, Knowing that
- 5:28Speaker 1: it was stolen, knowing that it violated the laws, they
- 5:32Speaker 1: looked the other way. They could care less because it
- 5:35Speaker 1: had to do with the hatred of Trump. I don't
- 5:36Speaker 1: think that was right if it was Biden's tax return,
- 5:39Speaker 1: Trump's tax return, or J.J. the liberal's tax return. When
- 5:42Speaker 1: you file your tax return, that is private. It's supposed
- 5:46Speaker 1: to remain that way. And Trump's was exposed. That is
- 5:50Speaker 1: what the precedent was. Not precedent. That's what the... reason
- 5:56Speaker 1: was for his lawsuit against the IRS because, because he
- 6:00Speaker 1: was wronged by the IRS for political purposes. If you remember,
- 6:05Speaker 1: people would say, I didn't pay any taxes and they're
- 6:07Speaker 1: trying to use it politically. So he was wronged. He
- 6:10Speaker 1: had a justifiable case against him as any of you would,
- 6:13Speaker 1: if they did that to you. So he had a
- 6:15Speaker 1: justifiable case. So he reached his settlements with the IRS
- 6:20Speaker 1: of getting this much money. And basically he's saying, this
- 6:24Speaker 1: is a fund that, for other people that have been
- 6:28Speaker 1: targeted for political purposes so that they can be made whole.
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'm not opposed to that because you're starting to see
- 6:38Speaker 1: some of this happen. I don't care if it's Democrats
- 6:40Speaker 1: or Republicans. For example, they targeted the Tea Party with
- 6:46Speaker 1: the IRS. So I'm not opposed to this fund being
- 6:51Speaker 1: established For people that are targeted for political purposes. I'm
- 6:56Speaker 1: perfectly fine with that. Unfortunately, I think we're seeing a
- 7:00Speaker 1: lot of that anymore. And I don't believe the power
- 7:02Speaker 1: of government should be used against its own citizens, Democrats
- 7:05Speaker 1: or Republicans, that you sick the IRS on them or
- 7:08Speaker 1: you sick whatever on them. I just think that that's wrong.
- 7:12Speaker 1: I've seen it over the years. And so I'm not
- 7:14Speaker 1: opposed to that settlement. This part I found a little
- 7:17Speaker 1: bit troubling, I will say to you. It's a nine-page
- 7:22Speaker 1: settlement agreement the DOJ released Monday setting up a $ 1. 8
- 7:26Speaker 1: billion fund to compensate victims of alleged weaponization of law enforcement.
- 7:32Speaker 1: So I'm not opposed to that because we know there's
- 7:34Speaker 1: been weaponization. We've seen it against Trump and his family.
- 7:38Speaker 1: And so that should be there. This is the one
- 7:41Speaker 1: thing that bothers me, though, if I go one step further. However,
- 7:44Speaker 1: a one-page document posted on the DOJ website early Tuesday
- 7:49Speaker 1: includes a sweeping release under which the IRS is— listen to this—
- 7:54Speaker 1: forever barred and precluded from pursuing examinations of Trump related
- 8:01Speaker 1: or affiliated individuals and related trust in businesses. So, so,
- 8:07Speaker 1: so they are, as, as it says, forever barred and
- 8:10Speaker 1: precluded the IRS from pursuing examinations of Trump related or
- 8:15Speaker 1: affiliated individuals. That would mean his kids and, and, uh, and, um,
- 8:22Speaker 1: related trust and businesses. So basically in this agreement, this
- 8:27Speaker 1: one page thing, the IRS is forever banned, barred from
- 8:33Speaker 1: examining Trump's returns or his company or his children or anyone.
- 8:39Speaker 1: So they can do anything in there. I mean, that's
- 8:42Speaker 1: kind of, when I read that, I saw that just
- 8:46Speaker 1: set me back because I don't necessarily agree with that.
- 8:50Speaker 1: That's so they, they have, They've been given something none
- 8:56Speaker 1: of you would ever get. So, yeah, they were given
- 9:00Speaker 1: a free pass that they can basically file anything and
- 9:04Speaker 1: there's not going to be a review. I mean, I
- 9:06Speaker 1: don't have a problem with this fund being set up
- 9:08Speaker 1: because I've seen it over the years, even before Trump,
- 9:12Speaker 1: where they would sick the IRS on people. I think
- 9:15Speaker 1: Nixon was the first one who did it. Remember, they
- 9:18Speaker 1: would sick the IRS on some reporters that they didn't
- 9:20Speaker 1: like and they sicked it on the Tea Party. Well,
- 9:23Speaker 1: I'm opposed to that. And so I'm not opposed to
- 9:25Speaker 1: this fund being set up for people to be made
- 9:29Speaker 1: hold from this. But I am opposed to this idea
- 9:32Speaker 1: that the IRS is banned from looking at anything with Trump. Now,
- 9:36Speaker 1: some would argue that they have to do that because
- 9:39Speaker 1: if the Democrats take control again, they'll just put his
- 9:41Speaker 1: family through a living hell on all of this kind
- 9:44Speaker 1: of stuff. And perhaps so. But in general, how do
- 9:48Speaker 1: you give a family and its businesses– and and all
- 9:52Speaker 1: this stuff a ban from all of this i mean
- 9:58Speaker 1: that is strange to me. I'll just say that's strange.
- 10:02Speaker 4: And I appreciate, again, I've come to respect you much,
- 10:07Speaker 4: even much more not that I've ever, I always respected you,
- 10:09Speaker 4: but especially recently within the last couple months, and this
- 10:12Speaker 4: is another, again, another example of that. Again, I am very,
- 10:17Speaker 4: I'm 50-50 on the idea of setting up a fund.
- 10:21Speaker 4: If it is, there are people that have been, on
- 10:24Speaker 4: the right, have been abused by our legal system. and
- 10:30Speaker 4: so i i believe that they they should get uh..
- 10:33Speaker 3: Uh..
- 10:33Speaker 4: The initiative may hold like you said uh... however but
- 10:37Speaker 4: that would look like a but that because that was
- 10:39Speaker 4: my final thing is that that disney and somebody uh...
- 10:42Speaker 4: the ability to make as much money as they want uh...
- 10:45Speaker 4: and again i understand your point by saying both the
- 10:47Speaker 4: democrats go back to power making attacking they can attack
- 10:50Speaker 4: his money uh... and that is another old uh... bag
- 10:53Speaker 4: of uh... the warm so to speak that you can
- 10:55Speaker 4: open up uh... but i i i believe that that
- 10:58Speaker 4: What I meant by the corruption of it is that
- 11:01Speaker 4: it is really a very dangerous slope when you do
- 11:06Speaker 4: that kind of thing. So I'm very much worried about that.
- 11:11Speaker 4: And it is something that... again, should be looked at.
- 11:15Speaker 4: And again, it is what it is. There's nothing I
- 11:20Speaker 4: can do about it.
- 11:21Speaker 5: Or pretty much anybody can do about it.
- 11:23Speaker 1: It's a done deal. I just thought that that... Listen,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I think a lot of these people, people who dwell
- 11:28Speaker 1: on this January 6th, I think a lot of these
- 11:30Speaker 1: people that did no harm, that simply walked in and
- 11:33Speaker 1: looked around and walked out with respect like they wanted
- 11:36Speaker 1: to or that were hunted down and their lives were
- 11:38Speaker 1: destroyed for political purposes... I think those people should be
- 11:42Speaker 1: made whole. I don't think they did any damage to anything.
- 11:44Speaker 1: The police were standing there and they walked in and
- 11:47Speaker 1: looked and left. That's different from anybody who broke a
- 11:50Speaker 1: window or anybody who stole Nancy Pelosi's lectern or any
- 11:53Speaker 1: of that kind of stuff. I understand all of that.
- 11:58Speaker 1: It got to an extreme where a lot of people
- 12:00Speaker 1: were persecuted for political purposes, and they should be made whole.
- 12:05Speaker 1: As I said, you had it in the past. Reporters
- 12:07Speaker 1: that were Washington, reporters that were... gone after through the
- 12:12Speaker 1: IRS or the tea party was, I'm just trying to
- 12:16Speaker 1: think of examples from both sides. And I think, and
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'm opposed to this. I'm opposed to politics entering this
- 12:24Speaker 1: kind of stuff. So if there's a fund to make
- 12:26Speaker 1: these people whole, I support it a hundred percent. And
- 12:29Speaker 1: then I think that's a good idea. But once again,
- 12:31Speaker 1: to completely ban the IRS from anything doing with the
- 12:37Speaker 1: Trump and the Trump family and businesses, um, That's interesting.
- 12:43Speaker 1: On one hand, I understand it because of what they
- 12:46Speaker 1: went through over the years. On the other hand, well,
- 12:51Speaker 1: how many of you listening out there would ever be
- 12:55Speaker 1: granted that waiver? And keep in mind, this was given
- 13:00Speaker 1: by the attorney general who used to be Trump's lawyer.
- 13:06Speaker 1: So you got to look at that with a little
- 13:08Speaker 1: bit of suspicion saying, well, wait a minute. This guy
- 13:11Speaker 1: was Trump's lawyer. He's now the attorney general. And so now,
- 13:14Speaker 1: you know, they put this through that gives Trump this waiver.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I would be probably I would hope you would be
- 13:20Speaker 1: as outraged if Biden did it for the Biden family
- 13:23Speaker 1: as you would be for the Trump family.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 1: It shouldn't matter who the figure is. I don't care
- 13:29Speaker 1: if it's Clinton, Biden or Gore or.
- 13:32Speaker 4: D in front of your name.
- 13:35Speaker 1: That shouldn't matter. But it seems to me this is
- 13:37Speaker 1: like a sweetheart deal. It was done for him by,
- 13:40Speaker 1: like I say, his lawyer, who's now the head of
- 13:42Speaker 1: the DOJ. And that's that's troubling to me.
- 13:46Speaker 4: Yeah, and I appreciate that. Just one other thing. When
- 13:48Speaker 4: I was saying yesterday about using the analogy of the
- 13:52Speaker 4: swimming pool with everything, it was an example of just saying,
- 13:57Speaker 4: why would I invest in something that I cannot enjoy
- 14:01Speaker 4: and not use?
- 14:02Speaker 1: But I don't think that was a good example in
- 14:04Speaker 1: a sense. Listen, he's building a ballroom. It's not like
- 14:07Speaker 1: he's going to stay there. He's just building it for
- 14:09Speaker 1: the country because it's necessary, in his opinion, to have
- 14:13Speaker 1: events on. He's going to move on and the next
- 14:16Speaker 1: president and the one after that and the one long
- 14:18Speaker 1: after we're dead, they'll be able to use it and
- 14:20Speaker 1: just be part. It's something that's needed and necessary. He's
- 14:24Speaker 1: not building it because he thinks he's going to stay forever.
- 14:26Speaker 1: He's just building it with private donations and some taxpayer money,
- 14:30Speaker 1: as I understand it now. So build the damn thing,
- 14:33Speaker 1: get it done, and don't put your name on it,
- 14:36Speaker 1: and then it'll be there for him and future presidents
- 14:40Speaker 1: to use.
- 14:40Speaker 5: Period.
- 14:41Speaker 1: End of story. Nothing more to it than that. I mean,
- 14:43Speaker 1: I'm not critical of the... of some of this uh...
- 14:45Speaker 1: some of this uh..
- 14:46Speaker 4: Stuff i mean let me and i understand your point
- 14:49Speaker 4: of it but it said it would be made a
- 14:50Speaker 4: comment that it's america's ballroom and i don't like to
- 14:53Speaker 4: know what my date is there that i can bring
- 14:54Speaker 4: my wife and but i didn't joke but it's nonetheless
- 14:58Speaker 4: the thing is that he's doing with the the reflecting
- 15:00Speaker 4: pond He does it with the Rose Garden. These are
- 15:02Speaker 4: things that, again, like Teddy complained about a big screen.
- 15:10Speaker 4: That's not even close to being the same example. But nonetheless,
- 15:13Speaker 4: I appreciate your viewpoints, and you're doing a great job,
- 15:17Speaker 4: my friend.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Thank you. There you go. J.J., the liberal, starting it
- 15:20Speaker 1: off today. 3.22 in the afternoon, NewsRadio 570 WKBN. And so,
- 15:25Speaker 1: Ron Ferb, callers on the line, stand by. Let me
- 15:27Speaker 1: get a break out of the way. Appreciate you tuning
- 15:30Speaker 1: in here on an overcast, rainy Wednesday afternoon, 55 degrees.
- 15:34Speaker 1: Always an honor to be with you. Ron Ferb from
- 15:36Speaker 1: the Kingdom of Mahoning on NewsRadio 570 WKBN. Stay close.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Youngstown's News, Weather, and Talk Station, 570 WKBN. And Ron Furb,
- 15:48Speaker 1: good afternoon. 325 in the afternoon, and you're on the air.
- 15:51Speaker 5: Hello.
- 15:53Speaker 3: Ronald.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Ted the Conservative.
- 15:56Speaker 5: So much to talk about. Don't even know where to begin.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Well, fire away. I'll be all ears. Take it in.
- 16:02Speaker 6: Go.
- 16:03Speaker 5: I will say one thing. The last comment you made
- 16:05Speaker 5: to J.J., hopefully he doesn't put his name on the ballroom.
- 16:09Speaker 5: That's concerning. But the guy's got to have things named
- 16:14Speaker 5: after him. You know, we talk about his narcissism and
- 16:17Speaker 5: all that stuff.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Like the Kennedy Center and this kind of stuff. I mean,
- 16:21Speaker 1: it's ridiculous.
- 16:22Speaker 5: And I mean, so childish. And it speaks to the
- 16:25Speaker 5: bigger problem, I think, with this guy. He just causes
- 16:29Speaker 5: so much division. And he's doing it in the party now.
- 16:33Speaker 5: You know, I really don't know that I had a
- 16:36Speaker 5: position on Matthews. but I would probably lean in agreement
- 16:40Speaker 5: with you. I was just trying to point out yesterday
- 16:43Speaker 5: the differences. He's not a conservative. He is a libertarian.
- 16:48Speaker 5: He came along through the Tea Party. None of that
- 16:51Speaker 5: matters now because, like.
- 16:52Speaker 7: GT said yesterday, we'll have to flip the script on him.
- 16:56Speaker 7: He said yesterday the people of Kentucky voted for him
- 16:58Speaker 7: and he was a representative. Well, people of kentucky just
- 17:01Speaker 7: kicked them out of office he's no longer their representative.
- 17:03Speaker 1: But hold the phone for a second because i'll be
- 17:05Speaker 1: curious i'm i'm i'm glad you called folks i just
- 17:08Speaker 1: tell you all of this i am fascinated by ted
- 17:10Speaker 1: the conservative all right i'm just uh find him a
- 17:14Speaker 1: very interesting person so let me let me bounce this
- 17:16Speaker 1: off of you when i hear this uh you know
- 17:20Speaker 1: trump wins another one you got it this was the
- 17:22Speaker 1: most expensive congressional race in our history And you had..
- 17:28Speaker 5: And both guys spent a ton of money. You have
- 17:31Speaker 5: to realize also..
- 17:32Speaker 1: But just hang on a second.
- 17:33Speaker 5: You're going to go with the Israel and all this stuff,
- 17:35Speaker 5: but what about the anti-Israel money that came pouring in
- 17:39Speaker 5: from Iranians and everyone else?
- 17:40Speaker 1: I don't know about..
- 17:41Speaker 5: It goes both ways.
- 17:42Speaker 1: I didn't see Iran giving a lot of money, but
- 17:44Speaker 1: I saw $ 10 million..
- 17:44Speaker 5: Iranian business owners. It goes both ways.
- 17:47Speaker 1: I don't think it does go both ways. I think that...
- 17:51Speaker 1: Let me put it this way. I think what you're
- 17:52Speaker 1: seeing with Marjorie Taylor Greene and with Thomas Massey is...
- 17:56Speaker 1: I'm afraid to say you're not going to see anybody
- 17:58Speaker 1: go against anything with Israel, even if they feel it's
- 18:01Speaker 1: not in America's best interest, because of the political ramifications
- 18:05Speaker 1: that are coming from it. And the amount of money
- 18:08Speaker 1: that is poured into these races to eliminate... the people
- 18:13Speaker 1: who are opposed to that. Thomas Massey was opposed to
- 18:17Speaker 1: all foreign aid, which I just will say to Ted
- 18:20Speaker 1: and to all of you, I am as well. This
- 18:22Speaker 1: country's $ 40 trillion in debt. I'm concerned about the future
- 18:26Speaker 1: of your Social Security, which is not economically in the
- 18:30Speaker 1: best of shape. I'm concerned about the future of Medicare.
- 18:34Speaker 1: When do we start taking care of our American citizens first?
- 18:38Speaker 1: Without giving billions of dollars away and going further in debt,
- 18:41Speaker 1: which this debt is going to destroy us, our American economy,
- 18:46Speaker 1: and eating up our tax dollars interest-wise. But when are
- 18:49Speaker 1: we going to look after our American people as opposed
- 18:52Speaker 1: to the billions of dollars? If I had to make
- 18:54Speaker 1: a choice, this would get Ted the conservative, but I
- 18:57Speaker 1: think he might agree with this. See, I'm trying to
- 18:59Speaker 1: get you, Ted. I would rather that money go to
- 19:04Speaker 1: supplement people's health care costs than go to billions of
- 19:07Speaker 1: dollars to Egypt or Israel or anybody else. I don't
- 19:10Speaker 1: disagree with you. In my own country. So I'm saying
- 19:14Speaker 1: if you take a look at what's going on, free-minded
- 19:17Speaker 1: thinkers not influenced by the huge amount of money from
- 19:20Speaker 1: that PAC and the ramifications, you will have politicians that
- 19:26Speaker 1: will be afraid to vote against anything And it don't
- 19:29Speaker 1: matter if it's in America's best interest or not. They'll
- 19:32Speaker 1: go along with it out of fear of their own
- 19:33Speaker 1: political survival. Because there's a reason why they pump that
- 19:37Speaker 1: kind of money into that race. Hang on, Ted. All
- 19:40Speaker 1: of you guys stand by. I'm going to talk to
- 19:42Speaker 1: Ted for a while. Then I'll get to you. I promise.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I enjoy my conversations with Ted. I hope you do.
- 19:46Speaker 1: All right. Ted.
- 19:50Speaker 5: Yes. All right. Before we get going, let me ask
- 19:54Speaker 5: you this real quick. Yeah. Is Cuba going to be
- 19:57Speaker 5: the next crisis now? I mean, I'm a little bit
- 20:00Speaker 5: alarmed at what I'm hearing out of there.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I don't know. I haven't really paid much attention at
- 20:04Speaker 1: this point in time. But take it away with your thoughts.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I mean, that's where I'm at. I just don't want...
- 20:09Speaker 1: to lose independent thinking within the Republican Party. As I
- 20:14Speaker 1: said to Ted, as I say to you, I do
- 20:16Speaker 1: not agree with... I believe that what happened with Epstein
- 20:20Speaker 1: is deplorable. I believe all that information should be out there.
- 20:24Speaker 1: I believe that's what he ran on. And I believe
- 20:27Speaker 1: the people who've done it, I don't care if Trump's
- 20:29Speaker 1: involved or Clinton's involved or not involved, everyone should be
- 20:34Speaker 1: held accountable because this was raping, basically, children. And Prince Andrew,
- 20:39Speaker 1: all the rest of them. And what I'm seeing here
- 20:41Speaker 1: is a double standard of justice where I am. It's
- 20:46Speaker 1: deplorable to me that the intelligence community created Epstein and
- 20:50Speaker 1: created this and was so debolical that they would say
- 20:55Speaker 1: we're going to have exploit children to get the goods
- 21:00Speaker 1: on some of these people and children. And when you
- 21:04Speaker 1: see the connections to the intelligence community, when you see
- 21:07Speaker 1: how the cases were handled, it's troubling me. And I
- 21:11Speaker 1: think there are ties of this to Israel and potentially
- 21:15Speaker 1: the CIA, one or both, if you will. And I
- 21:18Speaker 1: find it that this should be exposed. And who's got
- 21:22Speaker 1: all this information that they can hold over these people's
- 21:25Speaker 1: heads today? Where did it go? What happened to Pam Bondi?
- 21:29Speaker 1: And I got the files and she's gone. And where
- 21:33Speaker 1: is this information? People are saying this is a double
- 21:35Speaker 1: standard of justice. Trump did a 180 on it. And
- 21:39Speaker 1: I just don't, I agree with Massey. I agree with
- 21:41Speaker 1: Marjorie Taylor Greene. I agree with all of these people
- 21:43Speaker 1: that say, you ran on this. This is the public's business.
- 21:47Speaker 1: We have a right to know. We are losing faith
- 21:50Speaker 1: in our government and all of you that ran as
- 21:53Speaker 1: people that are going to change that and not doing
- 21:55Speaker 1: anything about it. And we're concerned about that.
- 21:58Speaker 5: I can't disagree with you. I agree with you. And,
- 22:01Speaker 5: you know, this may not make sense to other people,
- 22:04Speaker 5: but this is who I am. I always tell you
- 22:08Speaker 5: when I vote for a Democrat or Republican, if I
- 22:11Speaker 5: vote for a Republican, that guy airs. He's going to
- 22:14Speaker 5: air like we're seeing Trump air. You know, he's not
- 22:17Speaker 5: going to release the Epstein file. He's not going to
- 22:19Speaker 5: do the things he said.
- 22:20Speaker 1: But can I ask you something?
- 22:21Speaker 5: Kamala Harris.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Oh, I would never vote for her.
- 22:24Speaker 5: You know, we're going off the rails.
- 22:27Speaker 1: If you're asking me, I say it all the time.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I couldn't vote for Sherrod Brown. I would never vote
- 22:31Speaker 1: for the Democrats, period. I want to make that perfectly clear.
- 22:34Speaker 1: But I sometimes wonder, and I ask this of you
- 22:38Speaker 1: because I think you have great political insights. I think
- 22:41Speaker 1: Trump has incredible political skills. I think he can read
- 22:47Speaker 1: from understanding politics and people, okay?
- 22:51Speaker 5: His ego blinds him at times.
- 22:53Speaker 1: It blinds him at times, and I just don't understand
- 22:56Speaker 1: why he did a total reversal literally overnight on Epstein
- 23:01Speaker 1: and on Iran as far as... I'm very troubled by that,
- 23:05Speaker 1: that that happens.
- 23:06Speaker 5: Well, I think it goes to the Massey, the MTG,
- 23:09Speaker 5: the Boebert now, and even in Texas getting involved.
- 23:13Speaker 1: You know..
- 23:13Speaker 5: I don't live in Texas. I don't live in Kentucky.
- 23:17Speaker 5: I only know about these guys what I read and
- 23:21Speaker 5: what I read. I do know history has shown us. Yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 5: Donald Trump's really good in selecting candidates in primary elections.
- 23:31Speaker 5: He's horrible.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Yes.
- 23:33Speaker 5: Horrible in general elections. And I think he possibly gave
- 23:37Speaker 5: the Texas seat away. Now, I hear what GQ said
- 23:40Speaker 5: yesterday about Cornyn.
- 23:41Speaker 1: First of all, that's an important point that Ted just made.
- 23:47Speaker 1: I mean, I don't want you just to drop that
- 23:49Speaker 1: and move on.
- 23:50Speaker 6: Right.
- 23:51Speaker 1: These are primary elections. And he's terrible at general elections.
- 23:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:57Speaker 5: He stands up on the American First platform, I think.
- 24:00Speaker 5: That's what I would call it. I think you know
- 24:02Speaker 5: what I'm talking about. We know what G2 stands for
- 24:05Speaker 5: and what he wants.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I think you stand for the American First agenda, too.
- 24:09Speaker 1: I think we all do.
- 24:10Speaker 5: Yes, yes, but I don't know that I'm to the extreme, maybe,
- 24:14Speaker 5: that G2 is. And I'm not saying that in a
- 24:17Speaker 5: negative way. G2 is very firm in what he stands on.
- 24:21Speaker 1: He believes you've got to save this country.
- 24:23Speaker 5: I think G2 is, I wonder, you know, I don't
- 24:27Speaker 5: know a lot about him. None of us do. You
- 24:29Speaker 5: keep him in the bunker. But I would wonder, I
- 24:32Speaker 5: would love to know the evolution of G2. When I
- 24:35Speaker 5: hear G2 talk, I hear a little bit of the
- 24:37Speaker 5: Tea Party. I hear a little bit of the Libertarian Party.
- 24:41Speaker 5: He's a fascinating guy, very intelligent guy.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I'm conservative, and that's why I can tell you Matthew's
- 24:50Speaker 1: not a conservative.
- 24:53Speaker 5: But regardless, I don't want to get off on a tangent.
- 24:55Speaker 5: I'll just go back to what I said. My concern
- 24:58Speaker 5: now is in Texas, if Trump throws his weight behind
- 25:01Speaker 5: Paxson and Paxson wins, well, that's concerning because Paxson can
- 25:07Speaker 5: lose that seat to the Democrats. I was looking at
- 25:10Speaker 5: a poll out of the Texas Tribune, I think it was,
- 25:14Speaker 5: this morning. And I had heard rumors about this, but
- 25:17Speaker 5: I hadn't dug into it until this morning. And Cronin
- 25:21Speaker 5: had a slight lead on a head-to-head with this guy,
- 25:25Speaker 5: this Democrat. Well, you throw Paxton's name in now instead
- 25:31Speaker 5: of Cronin's name, and you've got a dead heat.
- 25:35Speaker 6: Right.
- 25:36Speaker 3: And..
- 25:37Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I would like someone in those seats that
- 25:40Speaker 5: thinks more like I do and would do things that
- 25:42Speaker 5: you and I want or the things that you two
- 25:44Speaker 5: talked about. Bottom line for me, the most important thing
- 25:47Speaker 5: is winning elections. And then when you get in office,
- 25:50Speaker 5: you've got to govern somehow, and you've got to do
- 25:54Speaker 5: what your base wants you to do. You'll never please everybody.
- 25:58Speaker 5: You may not please half the people. But, you know,
- 26:01Speaker 5: I start from that standpoint. For me, I want to
- 26:03Speaker 5: win elections. When I was talking about the team sport,
- 26:07Speaker 5: G2 misunderstood that yesterday. And you have to be united,
- 26:11Speaker 5: and you have to win elections. Because if you don't
- 26:13Speaker 5: win elections, you don't even get to have a second conversation.
- 26:17Speaker 5: There's no longer talking about agendas. Your agenda compared to
- 26:20Speaker 5: the Libertarian, the Conservative, the Tea Party. You don't even
- 26:23Speaker 5: have those conversations.
- 26:25Speaker 1: But here was the problem. Let me bounce this off
- 26:27Speaker 1: of you. The problem with Tim Ryan was Tim Ryan
- 26:30Speaker 1: became a politician. Tim Ryan went down and he did
- 26:35Speaker 1: whatever the Democrat Party told him. He was the lapdog
- 26:37Speaker 1: for Nancy Pelosi. He lost touch with his constituents and
- 26:41Speaker 1: what they stood for and what a good idea would
- 26:44Speaker 1: be if it was Republican or Democrat. Somewhat of what
- 26:47Speaker 1: you see a little bit with Fetterman. But he lost
- 26:50Speaker 1: track of that. I don't want to get to the
- 26:52Speaker 1: point where if you're a Republican, you check your brain
- 26:56Speaker 1: at the door and whatever the party tells you or
- 26:58Speaker 1: the president tells you, you vote for it whether you
- 27:00Speaker 1: agree with it or not. And that's just the way
- 27:03Speaker 1: it is. And if you don't, then we're going to
- 27:05Speaker 1: run your ass out of office. I'm not for that
- 27:08Speaker 1: type of thinking. They were talking about the people of
- 27:11Speaker 1: Black Massey, Rand Paul and all this. Are they the
- 27:14Speaker 1: next targeted to be eliminated because they're not walking in
- 27:17Speaker 1: lockstep with the party? Well, I certainly hope not, because
- 27:21Speaker 1: a debate in a party is not a bad thing
- 27:23Speaker 1: about issues like Epstein and issues like the war and
- 27:26Speaker 1: this kind of stuff. Those aren't bad things.
- 27:29Speaker 5: You know, Trump is in office, obviously, for a lot
- 27:32Speaker 5: of different reasons. A lot of people vote for Trump
- 27:35Speaker 5: just because they could not vote for Kamala Harris. It
- 27:37Speaker 5: doesn't mean that they agree with the guy, like the guy. Amen.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I vote for Trump every time because I like the
- 27:43Speaker 1: majority of what he has done. And I still like
- 27:45Speaker 1: the majority of what he's done. But I'm telling you, Ted.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Let me flip back to something we talked about yesterday
- 27:53Speaker 5: real quick, and then we'll get back to this issue.
- 27:56Speaker 5: The one big, beautiful bill. You guys, because I'm confused. Now,
- 28:00Speaker 5: maybe you can help me understand this. You claimed, and
- 28:04Speaker 5: G2 said, that it was a bipartisan bill that extended
- 28:08Speaker 5: the Biden agenda. And I disagree completely with you guys.
- 28:12Speaker 5: And I even looked at that this morning.
- 28:14Speaker 1: No, the Biden spending. The Biden spending.
- 28:18Speaker 5: Not one Democrat voted. So I don't know how G2
- 28:22Speaker 5: called it a bipartisan bill.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Then..
- 28:24Speaker 5: When you look at the core concepts, it was a
- 28:27Speaker 5: mass deportation and border security. That's where spending went. Tax relief,
- 28:33Speaker 5: defense and national security spending, and spending cuts. Medicaid. You
- 28:37Speaker 5: talked about Medicaid cuts for months and months. So what
- 28:41Speaker 5: spending in that bill did you oppose? Or where did
- 28:43Speaker 5: you think that there was Biden? That was Trump's bill.
- 28:47Speaker 5: There was nothing about Joe Biden in there. The only
- 28:50Speaker 5: spending was military, defense, border security. deportations, a lot of
- 28:57Speaker 5: tax relief that caused the bill to go up in price,
- 29:00Speaker 5: and spending cuts, SNAP and Medicaid programs. So I think
- 29:04Speaker 5: we have to be careful sometimes that we don't just
- 29:07Speaker 5: muddy the water because we're getting, like I said to
- 29:10Speaker 5: you before, Trump throws so much stuff at the wall.
- 29:14Speaker 5: Some of it sticks, some of it doesn't, but we
- 29:16Speaker 5: have to be real clear. There were no Democrats that
- 29:19Speaker 5: voted for that big, beautiful bill, and it wasn't an
- 29:21Speaker 5: extension of the Biden spending. Let's go back to this.
- 29:25Speaker 5: Go ahead, I'm sorry.
- 29:27Speaker 1: Well, the problem that Republicans had, conservative Republicans, was how
- 29:35Speaker 1: it increased the debt and deficit and didn't address... continued
- 29:40Speaker 1: the Biden spending, let's put it that way. Well, it
- 29:44Speaker 1: didn't continue the.
- 29:45Speaker 5: Biden spending, it continued growing the national debt. Right. So
- 29:50Speaker 5: the simple solution was don't cut Ron Gerb's taxes and
- 29:53Speaker 5: it won't increase the debt. You can't have it both ways.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Well, no, there's a couple of things on there. I understand.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I often sit back and wonder, if you want to
- 30:01Speaker 1: be blunt about it, why are you..
- 30:03Speaker 5: No, I'm not saying it was right or wrong.
- 30:04Speaker 1: No, no, but I mean, listen, I'm all for the
- 30:06Speaker 1: tax cuts, but here's my problem with them. They're for
- 30:09Speaker 1: three years. They're not permanent. I mean, you know, this idea,
- 30:13Speaker 1: no tax on tips, that's only for three years. The
- 30:18Speaker 1: deductions you get on your Social Security increases, deductions, is
- 30:23Speaker 1: only for three years. These things are not permanent in
- 30:26Speaker 1: the big, beautiful bill. They're three years. They have a sunset.
- 30:29Speaker 1: And guess who's out of office at that time? Trump is.
- 30:32Speaker 1: So all of that stuff can go away. So part
- 30:35Speaker 1: of my problem is this stuff should be permanent. It
- 30:39Speaker 1: is not.
- 30:41Speaker 3: And..
- 30:43Speaker 5: I agree. Do you reach a point where... If I
- 30:48Speaker 5: feel strongly about something, I'll tell you. But oftentimes, I
- 30:51Speaker 5: just like for all the information and the facts to
- 30:53Speaker 5: be correct and let the tips fall where they may.
- 30:56Speaker 5: So going back to what we were talking about with Texas.
- 30:58Speaker 1: But I just want to go back. Massey was opposed
- 31:01Speaker 1: to the big, beautiful bill because it didn't cut the
- 31:03Speaker 1: federal deficit enough and would increase the national debt. Well,
- 31:08Speaker 1: that's a fiscal conservative that says, when are we going
- 31:12Speaker 1: to stop kicking the can down the road? We're continuing
- 31:15Speaker 1: to add, what are we, $ 40 trillion out of the
- 31:18Speaker 1: national debt? Folks, You know this. It's our second highest expense.
- 31:23Speaker 1: We take in $ 4. 5 trillion a year, roughly, in federal
- 31:26Speaker 1: income tax.
- 31:28Speaker 5: As a member of a Tea Party, that was their
- 31:31Speaker 5: big thing.
- 31:31Speaker 1: $ 2 trillion is going..
- 31:33Speaker 5: And they wanted to end this stuff.
- 31:36Speaker 1: But it's going... We are spending all of this money...
- 31:38Speaker 1: The only thing higher than it, I believe, is Social Security.
- 31:41Speaker 1: We're spending all of this money on paying interest. That's
- 31:45Speaker 1: what these conservatives are arguing. Stop kicking the can down
- 31:48Speaker 1: the road.
- 31:49Speaker 3: And..
- 31:50Speaker 1: How much more? I mean, we spend a lot in
- 31:52Speaker 1: the military and we keep increasing military spending. At some point,
- 31:55Speaker 1: even that has got to stop because we're bankrupting the country.
- 32:00Speaker 1: And there are other programs that are important. I mean,
- 32:03Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but Social Security and Medicare are vital to
- 32:06Speaker 1: our senior citizens.
- 32:08Speaker 5: As is the Medicaid program. Even though there's fraud in it,
- 32:12Speaker 5: it's vital. You know, people need help.
- 32:14Speaker 1: That is true. That is true.
- 32:15Speaker 5: You know, the problem is, I think that We're racing
- 32:21Speaker 5: the financial clock. You can't just keep going into debt
- 32:25Speaker 5: not thinking that one day you're not going to have
- 32:27Speaker 5: to pay that bill. And we've got so many problems.
- 32:32Speaker 5: The only thing Trump did is slow the speed of
- 32:36Speaker 5: acceleration down. And I'm not sure he even slowed it
- 32:41Speaker 5: much because, like you said, the big, beautiful bill, it
- 32:44Speaker 5: accelerated debt. It didn't do anything to curb the debt,
- 32:46Speaker 5: you know. And I don't know that I don't know
- 32:51Speaker 5: what's going to cause. We know Democrats aren't going to
- 32:55Speaker 5: reduce that because they believe in tax and spend. And
- 33:00Speaker 5: the Republicans want to keep cutting taxes, but increasing spending
- 33:05Speaker 5: in the areas that they support, whether it's military or
- 33:08Speaker 5: other things. So, you know, I'll be honest with you.
- 33:11Speaker 5: I'm a guy. I'm one of those guys that looks
- 33:14Speaker 5: at the glass half full. I think a lot of
- 33:16Speaker 5: your callers look at the glass half empty. But, you know,
- 33:20Speaker 5: in the last week or so, it's become harder and
- 33:23Speaker 5: harder to look at that glass half empty.
- 33:25Speaker 1: How about if we look at it realistically? I say
- 33:27Speaker 1: it all the time. I say it to you. I
- 33:29Speaker 1: want the best for all of you listening. We should
- 33:32Speaker 1: all start in thinking as Americans first. I don't want
- 33:35Speaker 1: decisions influenced by these lobbyists from other countries.
- 33:39Speaker 5: I am..
- 33:40Speaker 1: Concerned about one country, this country. This is where I live.
- 33:44Speaker 1: This is where my children are. They're all adults now.
- 33:47Speaker 1: This is our country.
- 33:48Speaker 5: I agree with that, too. But, you know, if you
- 33:51Speaker 5: look at the countries that lobby the United States, not
- 33:53Speaker 5: only Israel. I don't know why we keep beating up
- 33:56Speaker 5: on Israel so much.
- 33:57Speaker 1: Because they have one of the strongest lobbyists group around.
- 34:02Speaker 1: They are hugely influential countries. In our decisions. And I
- 34:07Speaker 1: just say we got to think of America first and
- 34:09Speaker 1: the financial security of America first.
- 34:14Speaker 5: I agree with you.
- 34:15Speaker 1: And we're not.
- 34:16Speaker 5: It's no one's fault but our own.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Well, it goes to show you.
- 34:20Speaker 5: We elect these guys. I think what it just goes
- 34:23Speaker 5: to show is that the beast is so big that
- 34:26Speaker 5: it's no longer controllable. The beast in government.
- 34:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 5: It's too big. It's just too big to succeed. to
- 34:34Speaker 5: meet the purpose of why it was formed. Maybe we
- 34:38Speaker 5: need a Tea Party to come in and give us
- 34:41Speaker 5: an actual Boston Tea Party.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Let me put it this way.
- 34:45Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't know how you get to
- 34:47Speaker 5: train back on the track, but it's definitely off the track.
- 34:50Speaker 1: I'll leave you with that. Well said.
- 34:53Speaker 5: Okay, bye.
- 34:53Speaker 1: All right, Ted the Conservative. I think that's a good point.
- 34:58Speaker 1: How do you get the train back off the track?
- 35:00Speaker 1: Because it's definitely off the track. I think that's some
- 35:02Speaker 1: pretty good analysis, which I always get from Ted the Conservative.
- 35:06Speaker 1: More of your calls coming up. Ron Verb, NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 35:10Speaker 1: Kingdom of Mahoney, I am. The WKBN. I'm at 0357
- 35:14Speaker 1: in the afternoon, and you're on the air.
- 35:16Speaker 5: Hello.
- 35:17Speaker 3: Ron, the reason I'm calling today is because yesterday... Ted
- 35:22Speaker 3: and two emailers said I was wrong, but I was
- 35:26Speaker 3: actually right. First, Ted the warmonger said I told someone
- 35:31Speaker 3: to buy an investment, and he lost $ 30, 000. That's a lie.
- 35:37Speaker 3: I am not allowed to give investment.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Okay. I don't want to dwell on everything every day.
- 35:43Speaker 1: I am not going to let Ted the warmonger. I'm
- 35:45Speaker 1: not getting into any of this name calling it with callers.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I have had enough of that. All right. I did
- 35:50Speaker 1: not lose anybody. Okay. I don't even want to discuss it. Okay.
- 35:55Speaker 1: The guy said he did something and that was his
- 35:58Speaker 1: choice to do it. So I don't even want to
- 36:00Speaker 1: dwell on it. So move on. I mean, you know,
- 36:03Speaker 1: it's ridiculous. You get bogged down in the weeds on
- 36:06Speaker 1: some of this crap.
- 36:08Speaker 3: I disagree, but an emailer claimed the Wall Street Journal
- 36:12Speaker 3: contradicted me when I said interest on government bonds were
- 36:17Speaker 3: rising because governments are deep in debt and could technically deploy,
- 36:22Speaker 3: as California did.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Stand by. I'll come back to you in a minute.
- 36:30Speaker 1: From ABC News, I'm Chuck Sievertson.
- 36:34Speaker 6: So what now, now that the Justice Department has indicted
- 36:36Speaker 6: ex-Cuban dictator Raul Castro and several others for murder related
- 36:41Speaker 6: to Cuba shooting down two relief planes in the 1990s
- 36:44Speaker 6: that killed three American pilots?
- 36:46Speaker 1: Acting Attorney General Todd Blanch in Miami.
- 36:49Speaker 4: We didn't indict.
- 36:50Speaker 8: This isn't a show indictment. This is an indictment because
- 36:53Speaker 8: we expect that there was a warrant issued for his arrest.
- 36:56Speaker 8: So we expect that he will show up here by
- 37:01Speaker 8: his own will or by another way.
- 37:03Speaker 6: ABC News legal contributor Dan Abrams says Castro is still
- 37:06Speaker 6: in Cuba.
- 37:07Speaker 5: Cuba doesn't extradite, right?
- 37:08Speaker 9: So there's going to have to be some new policy
- 37:11Speaker 9: that is implemented based on political force. to get Cuba
- 37:15Speaker 9: to suddenly give up Raul Castro. I don't see how
- 37:19Speaker 9: that would happen, but look, things are changing, and there's
- 37:22Speaker 9: a lot of pressure going on right now.
- 37:24Speaker 6: Two police officers who defended the Capitol in the January 6,
- 37:27Speaker 6: 2021 attack by Trump supporters are suing to stop the
- 37:30Speaker 6: creation of the nearly $ 2 billion Trump fund that could
- 37:34Speaker 6: potentially compensate rioters from that day.
- 37:37Speaker 1: ABC's Peter Harlambous.
- 37:38Speaker 2: Former Capitol Police Officer Harry Dunn and Metropolitan Police Department
- 37:42Speaker 2: Officer Daniel Hodges alleged the compensation fund would not only
- 37:46Speaker 2: encourage those who committed violence in the name of President Trump,
- 37:49Speaker 2: but also directly finance their operations.
- 37:51Speaker 6: Former Trump administration official Michael Caputo says he is requesting
- 37:55Speaker 6: $ 2. 7 million from that fund, claiming he was targeted in
- 37:59Speaker 6: the Russia investigation. Of the American missionary doctor who was
- 38:02Speaker 6: working in Congo and Africa and tested positive for the
- 38:05Speaker 6: Ebola virus, Dr. Satish Pillai with the CDC.
- 38:09Speaker 2: The American has landed in Germany and is at the
- 38:12Speaker 2: hospital and in stable condition.
- 38:14Speaker 1: At the hospital at the U.S. Air Base in Germany.
- 38:16Speaker 6: At the close on Wall Street, the major indexes have gains.
- 38:19Speaker 6: The Dow up over 645 points. The Nasdaq up 399.
- 38:25Speaker 6: And oil is a little lower.
- 38:26Speaker 1: You're listening to ABC News.
