- 0:33Speaker 4: Brian Early, I don't know if you saw the moon
- 0:34Speaker 4: coming in, but it looks so cool.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Yes. Was there a star like right above it?
- 0:38Speaker 1: What was that? Okay.
- 0:40Speaker 5: I was mesmerized by that my entire drive here look.
- 0:43Speaker 4: At the moon on the way into work if it's
- 0:45Speaker 4: still up right now look at the moon because there's
- 0:47Speaker 4: a it looked like there was a bright spot on
- 0:49Speaker 4: top of the moon yes and I was driving into
- 0:52Speaker 4: work and I was like wait and then I pull
- 0:54Speaker 4: over to zoom in like a weirdo people probably thought
- 0:57Speaker 4: it was crazy I'm like it looks like you know
- 0:59Speaker 4: the moon was lit up on the bottom yes and
- 1:01Speaker 4: then on the top it looked like there was a
- 1:03Speaker 4: star yeah Right.
- 1:04Speaker 2: Like you see on like movies or whatever.
- 1:06Speaker 3: Right. Like Star Wars.
- 1:08Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:09Speaker 3: It literally looked like Star Wars.
- 1:11Speaker 4: But it looked like it was on the moon. Like
- 1:12Speaker 4: the moon was reflecting a little bit of light off
- 1:15Speaker 4: the top, too.
- 1:15Speaker 2: It was absolutely beautiful.
- 1:17Speaker 5: And, you know, since that last trip around the moon that,
- 1:20Speaker 5: you know, they did in the space shuttle.
- 1:22Speaker 1: No. Oh.
- 1:24Speaker 5: Well, since they named that crater after Reed Wiseman's wife, Carol, every.
- 1:28Speaker 2: Time I look at the moon, I say hi to Carol.
- 1:31Speaker 2: And I just like.
- 1:32Speaker 1: Oh, that's sweet. I do.
- 1:33Speaker 2: I just like call it Carol. I say Carol.
- 1:35Speaker 5: And I like feel like it's like good energy, like back.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Into the universe.
- 1:39Speaker 1: I'm with that, Candace.
- 1:40Speaker 5: Say hi to Carol when you look at the moon.
- 1:42Speaker 5: And I feel like he feels it for some reason.
- 1:44Speaker 5: Like astronaut Wiseman. Well, you're supposed to call him.
- 1:48Speaker 1: You got really into the moon.
- 1:50Speaker 2: Oh, so into the moon.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Into space. I thought you were going to go to space. Dude.
- 1:55Speaker 2: I was with them. She would.
- 1:56Speaker 5: I had to live stream up 24-7 pretty much.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Remember when they were going around the moon?
- 2:01Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Artemis, is that what it was? I've already forgotten the
- 2:03Speaker 2: name of it.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Oh, I know. It was Artemis. But you're right, though.
- 2:05Speaker 4: There is like a little twinkle on top of the
- 2:07Speaker 4: moon today. But when I zoomed in with my phone,
- 2:09Speaker 4: I don't have like the best phone.
- 2:11Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 2:11Speaker 1: 16 or something. I don't even know what it is.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Either way, I think it's a star that's lined up perfectly.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I've never seen that happen before.
- 2:19Speaker 1: It looks like it's glistening.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:22Speaker 4: I just thought to myself, one day we're going to
- 2:23Speaker 4: look up there and we're going to see lights because
- 2:26Speaker 4: people are going to be living up there.
- 2:28Speaker 3: We are.
- 2:28Speaker 2: It's like a concert going on up there.
- 2:31Speaker 1: One day you're going to be able to see.
- 2:32Speaker 2: That's what I picture, like stadium lights.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I think we're going to be able to see
- 2:35Speaker 4: that one day. Wouldn't that be weird?
- 2:36Speaker 2: That would be super weird.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Sometimes you ever just look at space and go, how?
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah, all the time. Every time I look up there.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Yeah, it's weird. It is weird. We're getting deep on
- 2:44Speaker 1: a Tuesday morning. We are.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Say hi to Carol, though.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Hi, Carol.
- 2:47Speaker 2: No, she's so beautiful.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Very sweet. Candace Lopez, what is going on with you?
- 2:51Speaker 2: Well, we put up.
- 2:52Speaker 5: Halloween decorations last night. It was kind of like an
- 2:55Speaker 5: impromptu moment.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Enzo was just ready. I said, if you're ready, I'm ready.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Let's go.
- 3:00Speaker 5: So we turn on our Halloween playlist. He made sure
- 3:02Speaker 5: to have Thriller on, you know, and we decorated. But
- 3:05Speaker 5: now he wants a skeleton in the yard and he's
- 3:07Speaker 5: never asked for like a skeleton in the yard. Our
- 3:10Speaker 5: neighbors have like that giant one.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Yes.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:14Speaker 2: I don't have one of those. I don't know if
- 3:15Speaker 2: I want to go for like the 12 footer.
- 3:17Speaker 1: You got to get up there.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Well, yeah, we're going to see.
- 3:20Speaker 5: I'm going to go shopping today and browse around at
- 3:22Speaker 5: home or Lowe's or somewhere and see what my options
- 3:25Speaker 5: are because I've never shopped for a skeleton before.
- 3:27Speaker 1: Did you think that it was too scary to put
- 3:29Speaker 1: up in the yard? Yeah. Oh, my God. Well, I
- 3:31Speaker 1: like the fun skeletons.
- 3:33Speaker 5: He wants one that's laying around and being silly.
- 3:36Speaker 2: You know what I mean? Like in a chair.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Like posing with it.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 3:39Speaker 4: Candace is the neighbor that complains because your decorations are
- 3:42Speaker 4: too scary.
- 3:42Speaker 2: No, I love that song. I love that stuff. I
- 3:46Speaker 2: just I've never put it in our yard.
- 3:48Speaker 5: I had the fun like Jack Skellington, you know, like
- 3:50Speaker 5: the funsies ones. But now we're aging into like maybe
- 3:53Speaker 5: a little more spooky.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Have you seen the house in Oak Cliff? Yes.
- 3:57Speaker 4: So there's a house in Oak Cliff that's gone viral
- 3:59Speaker 4: and it looks amazing. I don't know whose house it is.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I wish I could get on the phone, but they
- 4:03Speaker 4: have like 100 mannequins and hospital gowns.
- 4:06Speaker 1: That's creepy.
- 4:07Speaker 4: And they're all lined up in front of the house,
- 4:09Speaker 4: staring back at the house. But then there's a light
- 4:11Speaker 4: that's pretty much lighting them up to where they look
- 4:13Speaker 4: like real people.
- 4:14Speaker 3: It looks cool.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It looks awesome. It does look scary.
- 4:19Speaker 2: That's way worse than a skelly.
- 4:21Speaker 1: But it's starting to back up traffic.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 4:23Speaker 4: And people are like, wait a minute, there's a lot
- 4:25Speaker 4: going on here. But I love that kind of stuff.
- 4:27Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of fun. But I can see as
- 4:29Speaker 2: a neighbor, you'd be like, come on, guys.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I just need to get.
- 4:32Speaker 2: It's to my house.
- 4:32Speaker 1: It's like the house in Highland Park for Christmas. Yeah.
- 4:35Speaker 1: They do Halloween now, too.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:37Speaker 1: And it's all crazy and packed.
- 4:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not going near that house.
- 4:41Speaker 1: Why?
- 4:41Speaker 2: I'm just not.
- 4:42Speaker 1: You're scared?
- 4:43Speaker 2: It's just crazy. Yeah, there's just too much going on
- 4:45Speaker 2: over there.
- 4:45Speaker 1: There is a lot going on. Producer Pooh is here.
- 4:47Speaker 1: What's up with you, Pooh?
- 4:48Speaker 3: I did something yesterday, and now I realize why I
- 4:50Speaker 3: don't do it.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Work?
- 4:51Speaker 3: Work.
- 4:52Speaker 1: No, no.
- 4:53Speaker 3: I cooked dinner last night.
- 4:55Speaker 1: OK.
- 4:55Speaker 3: And I was like, you know what? I'm a chill
- 4:56Speaker 3: on my patio. You know what I mean? Because I
- 4:59Speaker 3: really don't do it. And I don't have it's not
- 5:01Speaker 3: like I have a big view. It's just a view
- 5:03Speaker 3: of the parking lot. So I could I cook me
- 5:05Speaker 3: a little steak, potatoes, green bean stuff. And I sat
- 5:08Speaker 3: out there and I was like, man, I look weird
- 5:10Speaker 3: out here. Even my sister stays across the way. She
- 5:13Speaker 3: she called me.
- 5:13Speaker 1: She's like, everything OK.
- 5:14Speaker 3: I was like, yeah, why?
- 5:15Speaker 1: She was like.
- 5:15Speaker 3: Why are you on your patio? You look weird.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Oh, she can see you from her apartment?
- 5:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. Oh, weird.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Because she was driving up and she was like, why
- 5:23Speaker 3: is he on, you know, why are you on your patio?
- 5:25Speaker 1: I don't think that's weird at all. And then also, well,
- 5:27Speaker 1: here's the thing.
- 5:27Speaker 3: My son, Paul, has a telescope and it's sitting out there.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 3: So I'm like, people probably think I'm staring at other
- 5:34Speaker 3: people's apartments or something.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 5:36Speaker 3: I just felt like a big, yeah, it's like a
- 5:40Speaker 3: big ick. So I was like, yeah, let me get
- 5:42Speaker 3: off my patio and go back inside because it's weird.
- 5:44Speaker 3: I know I look kind of weird out here with
- 5:46Speaker 3: a telescope right here. And a steak? Yeah, I'm just
- 5:49Speaker 3: sitting up there eating steak and potatoes.
- 5:52Speaker 1: What floor are you on?
- 5:53Speaker 3: I'm on the third floor.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Third floor? Oh, wow. Nobody can even see you.
- 5:57Speaker 3: Oh, they can see me from the parking lot. If
- 5:59Speaker 3: you look up, you see me. As soon as you
- 6:00Speaker 3: pull into my parking lot, you see. So how many
- 6:02Speaker 3: people do you stare at with that telescope? No, I
- 6:04Speaker 3: don't stare at anybody.
- 6:05Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Sure you can't see anything.
- 6:07Speaker 3: That thing goes in so close. Paul got to looking
- 6:09Speaker 3: out of space or whatever, but I look creepy. Grown man, telescope, eating.
- 6:14Speaker 1: When Paul looks to the telescope, does he see your ex-girlfriend?
- 6:17Speaker 5: No!
- 6:20Speaker 1: Beneath his face.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Are those the lights on the roof? Yeah, you're breaking.
- 6:27Speaker 1: My heart, baby. You make a mess of me.
- 6:32Speaker 4: All right, first caller of the day, Mix 102.9, plus
- 6:33Speaker 4: Real or Fake News next. It's Bailey the Kid, Candace Lopez.
- 6:37Speaker 1: Pooh is here. Let's do it right now. Dan and Shay,
- 6:38Speaker 1: tickets up for grabs. Who's this? This is Angela. What's up, Angela?
- 6:41Speaker 1: Guess what? You're caller number one. Congratulations! Thank you.
- 6:46Speaker 5: Oh, that's awesome.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go, Angela. Where are you from?
- 6:49Speaker 2: I'm actually in the Keller-Fort Worth area.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Oh, cool.
- 6:51Speaker 1: What are you doing right now? Going to work? Of course.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I'm actually coming to y'all's.
- 6:55Speaker 6: I'm close to y'all's area.
- 6:56Speaker 7: I'm coming to work.
- 6:57Speaker 1: You are?
- 6:58Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Where do you work over here?
- 7:01Speaker 2: I work like seven a minute.
- 7:03Speaker 7: Over there in the Lincoln Center.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Oh, dang. That is close. You've got to drive then.
- 7:06Speaker 3: Oof.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Wow.
- 7:08Speaker 2: That is a job. 51 minutes.
- 7:10Speaker 1: Okay. Well, you deserve these tickets then.
- 7:12Speaker 3: Yeah, you do. Yeah.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Well, thank you. Next time you go by us on
- 7:18Speaker 1: the tollway, wave to us, okay? Say hi.
- 7:21Speaker 2: I don't take the tollway.
- 7:22Speaker 3: I try to stay away from that.
- 7:23Speaker 5: So I'm not an aggressive driver, which I know in Dallas.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I feel like I have to, though.
- 7:29Speaker 1: You're so right. The tollway has turned into the Autobahn.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It's intense.
- 7:33Speaker 2: It's wild.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Candace loves it. She's a psycho driver.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Follow me, guys.
- 7:37Speaker 3: The crazies. I can't deal with the crazies.
- 7:39Speaker 1: Yeah, we should do a live stream of Candace getting
- 7:41Speaker 1: to work every day. I bet you it's insane.
- 7:44Speaker 3: Yes, that would be fun.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Well, good.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Angela, thank you so much. Please drive safe and have
- 7:48Speaker 4: fun at the show on us, okay?
- 7:49Speaker 1: Of course.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Thank you so much.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely. Candace, this is her every day.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Just driving and looking at the moon.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Looking at the moon, falling out. Who knows? I'm a
- 8:00Speaker 1: good driver. No, you really are. It's just funny.
- 8:02Speaker 2: I'm a great driver, actually.
- 8:04Speaker 1: All right, calm down.
- 8:06Speaker 3: Candace Hamilton.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 8:08Speaker 4: Real or fake news right now. I'm going to give
- 8:10Speaker 4: you three headlines. You're going to tell me which one
- 8:11Speaker 4: is the... Fake story. Which one is fake? Sometimes it's tough.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Hopefully you play along.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Here we go. Headline number one.
- 8:18Speaker 4: A guy faked a medical emergency to get out of
- 8:21Speaker 4: pain a $ 64 Red Lobster bill. A guy faked a
- 8:26Speaker 4: medical emergency to get out of pain a $ 64 Red
- 8:30Speaker 4: Lobster bill.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Headline number one. Headline number two.
- 8:34Speaker 4: Couple finds stranger living in their backyard shed after security
- 8:37Speaker 4: camera sends late night alert.
- 8:40Speaker 1: Okay.
- 8:41Speaker 4: Couple finds a stranger living in their backyard shed after
- 8:44Speaker 4: security camera sends late night alert. Headline number three. Man
- 8:48Speaker 4: admits he was speeding to hit the McDonald's breakfast in time.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Man admits he was speeding to hit the McDonald's breakfast
- 8:58Speaker 4: in time. Three stories right there. One of them is fake.
- 9:02Speaker 4: You've got to tell me which one. Candace, you want
- 9:04Speaker 4: to go first?
- 9:04Speaker 1: You want to pass it? Tell LaPoopoo what you want
- 9:07Speaker 1: to do.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Ooh, I'm going to pass it to LaPoopoo today.
- 9:09Speaker 3: All right.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Which one do you think is fake?
- 9:10Speaker 3: I'm going to go with that last story. Man admits
- 9:13Speaker 3: to speeding, trying to catch that Mickey D's breakfast.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Right?
- 9:17Speaker 3: Lock me in.
- 9:17Speaker 1: You want to lock that in?
- 9:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I think that's fake. All right, Candace Lopez, which one
- 9:22Speaker 1: do you think is the fake story?
- 9:24Speaker 2: Ooh, lock me in for that first story, the Red
- 9:25Speaker 2: Lobster one.
- 9:26Speaker 1: Oh, Red Lobster. You think that you don't think it's
- 9:28Speaker 1: a medical emergency? You don't think poo is above that? Yeah,
- 9:31Speaker 1: come on.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Them Cheddar Bay biscuits are expensive.
- 9:35Speaker 1: They're actually free.
- 9:36Speaker 3: Oh, are they?
- 9:37Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, that's right.
- 9:38Speaker 2: I haven't been to Red Lobster in so long.
- 9:42Speaker 3: The first round is.
- 9:43Speaker 5: Good to know.
- 9:43Speaker 1: You've got to pay for the extra, don't you? No,
- 9:45Speaker 1: I don't think so. I've been to Red Lobster in
- 9:47Speaker 1: a long time.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Is there really unlimited Cheddar Bay biscuits?
- 9:49Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, I think so. Wow.
- 9:51Speaker 4: So one thing you can go for free, because we
- 9:52Speaker 4: used to go as kids and get drinks and then
- 9:54Speaker 4: just eat a thousand biscuits.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Yeah, when I was like 15, there was one by
- 9:58Speaker 1: my house. Don't hate. All right, the winner today is... Wait,
- 10:02Speaker 1: did you lock it in? Yeah. Did you? Oh, I
- 10:05Speaker 1: don't know.
- 10:05Speaker 2: Lock me in double lock.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Deadbolt. Yeah, deadbolt that.
- 10:09Speaker 2: Do that chain thing with the.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Oh, you with the chain too?
- 10:12Speaker 5: Old school. Hold on.
- 10:15Speaker 1: There we go.
- 10:16Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Okay. All right. The winner today is... Oh, me. Wow.
- 10:25Speaker 1: All right. You both missed the fake story.
- 10:27Speaker 4: The fake story was the couple find stranger living in
- 10:29Speaker 4: their backyard shed after security camera sends late night alert.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Okay. That's a fake story. I could see it happening.
- 10:35Speaker 1: You do hear those stories, though.
- 10:37Speaker 4: That's what made me think of it, about somebody living
- 10:39Speaker 4: in their attic and they didn't know.
- 10:41Speaker 1: I don't know why. There's certain random things that terrify me.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 1: And that is... The chances of that happening.
- 10:47Speaker 2: Come on.
- 10:47Speaker 1: Yeah. Like, how?
- 10:49Speaker 2: Close to zero.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Close to absolute zero.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Right.
- 10:52Speaker 1: But every once in a while, I hear something in
- 10:53Speaker 1: my house, and I'm like, oh, there's definitely a little hobbit.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Of course.
- 10:58Speaker 1: A little troll up there.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Just chilling.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Like, sometimes I don't go upstairs for a few days. Oh. Oh.
- 11:04Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Who knows? Someone might be living up there.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Maybe so.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Yeah. My son, he wouldn't pay attention. He goes to
- 11:10Speaker 1: his room and out. He doesn't know what's going on.
- 11:12Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Shuts the door. Whatever he's got to do. It might
- 11:15Speaker 1: be poo. Oh, you know if I'm there.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Man admits he was speeding to hit the McDonald's breakfast.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Let's get to that one. That's a real story. A
- 11:23Speaker 4: motorcyclist in Virginia was pulled over for speeding ridiculously fast.
- 11:27Speaker 1: He was going at 75 in a 25. Oh, yeah.
- 11:31Speaker 1: That's an arrestable offense.
- 11:32Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I know some guys who would arrest them. I would
- 11:36Speaker 1: if I was a cop. You're going straight to jail.
- 11:38Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Candace.
- 11:39Speaker 2: For sure.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I'm talking to you.
- 11:40Speaker 5: Why don't you go 75 and then 25?
- 11:43Speaker 1: I mean, you're doing that. That could be a school zone.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Either way.
- 11:47Speaker 4: Way too quick. The cop goes, what are you doing?
- 11:51Speaker 4: The guy says, sorry, I was trying to hit the
- 11:52Speaker 4: McDonald's breakfast in time.
- 11:54Speaker 1: Okay. I mean, at least you're not lying.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Right.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Appreciate that. At least you didn't have the good old
- 12:01Speaker 1: excuse of, I had to go to the bathroom.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Right.
- 12:03Speaker 1: You know? I mean, that's what you would do.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Well, yeah, that's the case. That's always true.
- 12:08Speaker 1: See, ladies, you have an easy out. You're like, listen,
- 12:10Speaker 1: I got women things I got to handle. Well, yeah,
- 12:13Speaker 1: for sure. And you know what? If I'm a cop,
- 12:14Speaker 1: I'm going... Yeah. Handle your business.
- 12:16Speaker 5: They let me go last time just because I was like,
- 12:19Speaker 5: I'm just having a day.
- 12:20Speaker 1: I didn't notice.
- 12:21Speaker 2: I'm just having a day, sir.
- 12:22Speaker 1: You know what? I appreciate that.
- 12:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:24Speaker 2: That's literally, I just was having a day and he
- 12:27Speaker 2: got it. Let me go with the warning.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Yeah. Thank you, sir. The last time you get pulled over,
- 12:31Speaker 1: what did you say? Did you say anything or did
- 12:33Speaker 1: you just take the ticket? No, I just took the ticket.
- 12:35Speaker 4: Last time I got pulled over, what did I say? Well,
- 12:38Speaker 4: you have to say something when they walk up.
- 12:40Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 12:40Speaker 1: He was like, did you know you were speeding?
- 12:42Speaker 3: I said, yes, sir. That's what I usually say. He goes,
- 12:44Speaker 3: I appreciate you telling the truth. Went back to his car,
- 12:47Speaker 3: came back.
- 12:48Speaker 1: There you go. I'm usually like, yeah, I know. I
- 12:51Speaker 1: was speeding. I have no excuse. I'm an idiot. Sorry,
- 12:54Speaker 1: I'm stupid. Arrest me. Throw me in jail. I'd love
- 12:57Speaker 1: a couple nights sleep.
- 13:00Speaker 2: No, not that.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Undisturbed. They're usually like, what is going on with this guy? Right.
- 13:04Speaker 1: All right. How about this story?
- 13:06Speaker 4: Guy faked a medical emergency to get out of pain.
- 13:09Speaker 1: $ 64 Red Lobster tab. This guy's awesome. A 26-year-old man
- 13:14Speaker 1: in Georgia.
- 13:15Speaker 4: He was arrested last week after he faked a medical emergency,
- 13:18Speaker 4: called 911.
- 13:21Speaker 1: So he could avoid paying his bill. Yep, he was
- 13:24Speaker 1: at Red Lobster. He owed $ 63.
- 13:25Speaker 3: 77.
- 13:25Speaker 4: It's unclear what he had ordered or what kind of
- 13:30Speaker 4: medical condition he was faking. He was checked out by
- 13:34Speaker 4: first responders and they were like, you're fine. I don't
- 13:37Speaker 4: know what's going on, but everything looks good. So now
- 13:40Speaker 4: this guy's facing charges of theft and unlawful 911 call
- 13:44Speaker 4: because he eventually.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Admitted that he was just trying to get out of
- 13:46Speaker 1: paying the tab.
- 13:47Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Have you ever done anything to try to get out
- 13:51Speaker 1: of paying a tab?
- 13:51Speaker 3: No.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Either or by. No, neither.
- 13:54Speaker 3: As cheap as I am, I've never done that.
- 13:56Speaker 1: I don't believe that. No, for real. I do not
- 13:59Speaker 1: believe it. I'd rather one of the homies pay it. Yeah.
- 14:01Speaker 4: No, but I think, aren't you the guy that said
- 14:03Speaker 4: one time you like purposely found something in your food?
- 14:06Speaker 3: No, that was my homeboy. He did do that because
- 14:08Speaker 3: he had long hair and he pulled his hair and
- 14:10Speaker 3: put it on his enchiladas and said, yeah, I found
- 14:13Speaker 3: hair in my food. And they were like. You done
- 14:16Speaker 3: already halfway eating the food. We ain't going to do that.
- 14:19Speaker 7: Right.
- 14:19Speaker 2: I heard someone pulled the fire alarm once.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Really?
- 14:23Speaker 2: Yeah, to get out.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Because everybody had to get out of the restaurant. It's like, well,
- 14:26Speaker 2: who was sitting where?
- 14:27Speaker 5: Who was over there?
- 14:28Speaker 1: Oh, that's a good point. Yeah.
- 14:29Speaker 4: I remember one time when I was a kid, I
- 14:31Speaker 4: was on a road trip with a family friend, my friend's, like, parents.
- 14:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:35Speaker 4: And I remember stepdad, and this is so weird that
- 14:38Speaker 4: I remember this. I remember him. We were at, like,
- 14:40Speaker 4: a Denny's or something. I remember him going, everybody just
- 14:42Speaker 4: go to the car.
- 14:43Speaker 1: No.
- 14:44Speaker 4: And I was like, oh, okay, why are we going? Like,
- 14:46Speaker 4: I guess I'm done, but okay. He's like, just go,
- 14:48Speaker 4: and I'll meet you guys there. And I remember thinking
- 14:50Speaker 4: to myself, that's weird, because I was old enough to know.
- 14:52Speaker 4: I was like 13 or something.
- 14:53Speaker 5: Right.
- 14:54Speaker 4: And I get to the car, and I remember watching
- 14:56Speaker 4: the stepdad run out of the Denny's real quick and
- 14:59Speaker 4: get in and go. And then I remember looking back
- 15:01Speaker 4: at the Denny's and a waitress running out.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Oh, man. I was like, did we just run the tab? Yeah.
- 15:09Speaker 1: I was like, well, you can do that.
- 15:12Speaker 4: I just remember thinking this is probably not the best
- 15:14Speaker 4: example to set for kids. And next time I'm going
- 15:17Speaker 4: to order something more expensive. We got a dirty little
- 15:21Speaker 4: secret coming up at seven 30. Get ready for that.
- 15:23Speaker 4: It's one you will not want to miss. Trust me.
- 15:25Speaker 4: That's all I'm going to say. It has to do
- 15:26Speaker 4: with a very popular sports team. It's our year.
- 15:29Speaker 1: What else can I say?
- 15:30Speaker 2: I got it.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Okay.
- 15:31Speaker 4: Well, not really so much the team, but where they play. OK,
- 15:35Speaker 4: that's all I can say. And I have a feeling
- 15:37Speaker 4: it's going to backfire. I'm going to get in trouble.
- 15:38Speaker 4: But I don't know.
- 15:39Speaker 1: It's not necessarily bad.
- 15:41Speaker 3: It's something I would have never, never guessed would happen
- 15:45Speaker 3: at this particular venue.
- 15:47Speaker 1: Okay. Didn't even know it was possible. It's kind of creepy.
- 15:50Speaker 1: It's kind of weird. It's kind of insane.
- 15:51Speaker 4: 7.30, Dirty Little Secret on Mix. It's Billy the Kid.
- 15:55Speaker 4: Candice Lopez is here. Producer Poo is here. What's a
- 15:57Speaker 4: fashion trend that just drives you crazy? Because at the
- 15:59Speaker 4: risk of sounding like an old man, I'm going to
- 16:01Speaker 4: say something right now that I just... I'm just shocked
- 16:04Speaker 4: that kids do this, and it just... I don't know
- 16:07Speaker 4: why it drives me crazy. Then I see this full
- 16:09Speaker 4: blown list of Gen Z fashion trends that millennials are
- 16:12Speaker 4: disgusted by.
- 16:13Speaker 1: And I'm like, I got one. I got one that
- 16:15Speaker 1: drives me nuts.
- 16:17Speaker 4: I don't know how, because when we were kids and
- 16:19Speaker 4: we were younger, you would never wear mismatched socks.
- 16:23Speaker 1: No.
- 16:24Speaker 4: And when I say that, I mean like this, I
- 16:26Speaker 4: would never wear. And maybe this was just where I
- 16:28Speaker 4: came from or our generation.
- 16:31Speaker 1: You would never wear Adidas with Nike socks. No. You
- 16:35Speaker 1: sure wouldn't.
- 16:35Speaker 2: You would never. The fact that that's a thing, I'm.
- 16:38Speaker 5: Not mad at it because it makes life less stressful. Oh,
- 16:41Speaker 5: now I got to find Nike socks because I'm wearing
- 16:43Speaker 5: Nikes today.
- 16:44Speaker 1: And it's something stupid. Don't get me wrong.
- 16:45Speaker 2: No, it shocked me. I thought, that's a thing? Or
- 16:47Speaker 2: is that kid just being defiant?
- 16:50Speaker 4: And maybe I was a freak as a kid, but
- 16:52Speaker 4: I was so weird about my clothes. If I had
- 16:53Speaker 4: Nike shoes, there's no way I couldn't wear.
- 16:55Speaker 1: I had to. Or if I had an Adidas jumpsuit,
- 16:58Speaker 1: there's no way I could wear Nike shoes.
- 17:00Speaker 3: No, you can't. Like what?
- 17:02Speaker 2: That was not a thing for us.
- 17:04Speaker 1: No.
- 17:04Speaker 4: So what fashion trend drives you crazy? Maybe it is
- 17:07Speaker 4: an old school thing. Maybe I am an unk.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Am I unk status? No. Candace.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Well, I mean, if you're not okay with it.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Who's not?
- 17:16Speaker 2: I'm not unk.
- 17:18Speaker 1: Yes, you are unk.
- 17:20Speaker 5: I'm okay with this, though. If you want to wear
- 17:22Speaker 5: Nike socks and Crocs or Birkenstocks or whatever, do your thing.
- 17:27Speaker 1: That might be on the list, too. There's a whole
- 17:28Speaker 1: list here.
- 17:29Speaker 4: One of the things on the list of fashion trends
- 17:31Speaker 4: that millennials are disgusted by, as far as Gen Z, is...
- 17:35Speaker 4: Birkenstocks with socks.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Oh, really?
- 17:38Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 4: And I'm not talking about just the Jerusalem cruisers, the sandals,
- 17:41Speaker 4: but also like the clog things.
- 17:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Right.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Those are Birkenstocks. Yeah. Yeah. Whatever they're called. Yeah.
- 17:47Speaker 4: My son, my son doesn't wear them so much now.
- 17:49Speaker 4: You know what my son just bought that I was like, really?
- 17:51Speaker 4: This is like the cool shoe to wear now.
- 17:52Speaker 3: What?
- 17:53Speaker 1: Are just the New Balance, like the dad New Balance shoes.
- 17:56Speaker 2: Yeah, those are so in.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I didn't know that.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Yeah, they've been in for a while.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I'm not cool.
- 18:00Speaker 3: The uncle at the barbecue's New Balance. Yeah, dad at
- 18:05Speaker 3: the grill. Right.
- 18:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 18:07Speaker 3: The New Balances, when you saw dad wearing those, you
- 18:09Speaker 3: know the grill was about to go crazy.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Yeah, well, all these athletes are making him popular. Like Otani,
- 18:15Speaker 2: all those guys.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Well, because they're Cooper Flagshue.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Cooper, yeah.
- 18:18Speaker 1: He's got the New Balance shoe. Totally. Candice, you got one?
- 18:20Speaker 1: Something that drives you crazy?
- 18:22Speaker 2: Oh, I can't handle the tiny sunglasses.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 18:27Speaker 5: I don't care if you're Haley Bieber.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I don't think they look good.
- 18:32Speaker 4: You're talking about the ones that are so tight. I mean,
- 18:33Speaker 4: they definitely don't cover your eye. No, it's just more
- 18:35Speaker 4: of an accessory.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess so. No, I like big sunglasses forever.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Forever.
- 18:41Speaker 5: A friend of mine was complaining about his daughter on
- 18:43Speaker 5: Facebook yesterday talking about how she wants micro bangs.
- 18:47Speaker 2: I cannot handle micro bangs.
- 18:48Speaker 1: What are micro bangs?
- 18:49Speaker 2: They're like just little teeny tiny bangs. Yeah, like an
- 18:52Speaker 2: inch long. They don't cover your forehead.
- 18:55Speaker 1: You're not talking about Ella Langley bangs. No, no, no, no.
- 18:59Speaker 5: These are like tiny, tiny, like you accidentally cut your
- 19:02Speaker 5: bangs by yourself bangs.
- 19:05Speaker 1: No.
- 19:05Speaker 3: You snuck and did it.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Yeah. I'm trying to think what celebrity has those that
- 19:09Speaker 1: drives me crazy.
- 19:10Speaker 3: I forget what it is.
- 19:10Speaker 2: There's a few, but.
- 19:11Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, but yeah. Okay. Poo, do you got a
- 19:14Speaker 1: fashion trend that drives you crazy?
- 19:15Speaker 3: My son had on a quarter zip the other day
- 19:17Speaker 3: with a jersey over it. I was like, what is that?
- 19:20Speaker 3: Him and his friends did. Quarter zips are big.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah, but with a jersey over it?
- 19:24Speaker 4: I'm like, I can kind of see that in a
- 19:25Speaker 4: weird way.
- 19:26Speaker 3: What are you doing? This ain't Halloween. What are you
- 19:28Speaker 3: trying to do?
- 19:28Speaker 1: No, he's got that sporty jock look.
- 19:30Speaker 3: And then also they wear like. The sweats or whatever,
- 19:33Speaker 3: like a sweats jumpsuit with Birks. Oh, yeah.
- 19:37Speaker 1: No, that's a big thing. Yeah.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Might as well get some house shoes. I'm here.
- 19:41Speaker 5: I'm wearing Birkenstocks right.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Now, so I'm down.
- 19:44Speaker 1: I'm not mad at it. It's just like, whatever.
- 19:46Speaker 4: I never wore Birkenstocks back in the day when they
- 19:50Speaker 4: were popular when we were young. Because all the 90s
- 19:52Speaker 4: stuff is coming back. And I wore Doc Martens. I
- 19:56Speaker 4: wore like boots, like stuff like that. So I don't know.
- 19:58Speaker 4: I just never was a sandals guy.
- 20:00Speaker 5: Right.
- 20:00Speaker 1: I just can't picture me in sandals.
- 20:03Speaker 2: I can't either, actually.
- 20:04Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 20:05Speaker 3: I could see you.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Like one time I came here and wore flip flops.
- 20:08Speaker 4: I don't think anybody stopped laughing.
- 20:10Speaker 1: At me all day.
- 20:11Speaker 2: Everyone thought you're going on vacation afterwards.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Yeah. Okay. So here's some of the stuff on the
- 20:17Speaker 1: list right now. Oh, this is some good stuff.
- 20:19Speaker 4: People that Gen Z fashion trends and millennials are disgusted
- 20:22Speaker 4: by on the list.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Pimple patches on your face in public yeah that's yeah
- 20:28Speaker 1: i i know gen z does that like they wear
- 20:31Speaker 1: them out in public and they got pimple patches that
- 20:33Speaker 1: are like star shaped.
- 20:34Speaker 2: They're cute i have some of those it.
- 20:36Speaker 3: Doesn't bother me yeah whatever i mean uh always looking
- 20:39Speaker 3: someone said always looking like a slob no matter what
- 20:41Speaker 3: the occasion is right um somebody said please man i'm
- 20:45Speaker 3: begging you stop with the mullets Oh, yeah.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Mullets were back for a minute.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:50Speaker 1: I mean, whatever.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Yeah, next.
- 20:53Speaker 4: Wearing PJs everywhere. The airport, the mall, the supermarket, everywhere.
- 20:58Speaker 4: Everywhere you look, the young kids are wearing pajamas. Stop it.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Okay. All right. Mom jeans. They're disgusting. Are mom jeans back? Yeah,
- 21:06Speaker 1: way back. I hate mom jeans.
- 21:08Speaker 2: I love mom jeans.
- 21:09Speaker 1: No.
- 21:09Speaker 2: Yeah, bring on the wide leg.
- 21:13Speaker 1: No.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Just loose fitting.
- 21:15Speaker 1: Big old PTA box booty.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 1: It's the best. It is?
- 21:20Speaker 2: It is the best. Yeah. They're so comfortable.
- 21:23Speaker 1: That's all that matters.
- 21:24Speaker 2: But you guys get to wear comfy clothes all the time.
- 21:25Speaker 2: So give us our mom moment.
- 21:27Speaker 1: I mean, take them. You could take them. It just
- 21:29Speaker 1: reminds me of my fifth grade teacher, Miss Farragher.
- 21:32Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Who used to come with her mom to eat stomping.
- 21:35Speaker 4: Yelling at me, okay, socks over leggings. People said they're
- 21:38Speaker 4: annoyed with that.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 21:40Speaker 1: I don't even know what that means.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:42Speaker 1: Dark lip liner. Oh. Is that a thing? It was.
- 21:46Speaker 3: That's that goth look, right?
- 21:48Speaker 1: What are barrel jeans? Somebody else said barrel jeans. Oh, yeah.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Those were hot for a second. I had one pair.
- 21:52Speaker 2: They were super cute.
- 21:53Speaker 5: I was actually on that trend beforehand, and I thought
- 21:56Speaker 5: I looked weird, but now they're over.
- 21:58Speaker 2: That was quick.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Oh, it was? Yeah. Okay. All right.
- 22:01Speaker 5: Yeah, you look like you're riding a horse or something.
- 22:03Speaker 3: Yes.
- 22:04Speaker 1: I know what kind you're talking about. Yeah, I thought
- 22:07Speaker 1: they were kind of hot. Mom jeans? Not so much.
- 22:11Speaker 2: The new Mix 102.9.
- 22:13Speaker 1: It's Texas Top Stories on the 10s with Billy the
- 22:16Speaker 1: Kid in the Morning. Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 22:19Speaker 4: Got a chance to go to Disneyland coming up next,
- 22:21Speaker 4: so get that iHeartRadio app ready.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Get ready to win. Open up that app.
- 22:26Speaker 4: That's how you're going to do it. We do it
- 22:27Speaker 4: on the 10s pretty much all day. We also have
- 22:29Speaker 4: Dirty Little Secret next, which.
- 22:31Speaker 2: I can't wait.
- 22:32Speaker 4: I'm actually nervous about this. Some of them I get
- 22:34Speaker 4: nervous about. I'm like, I don't know if I should
- 22:35Speaker 4: put this one on. I'm going to do it either way.
- 22:38Speaker 4: So Dirty Little Secret coming up at 730.
- 22:40Speaker 1: Candace, what's up?
- 22:41Speaker 5: Well, the State Fair of Texas made an announcement about
- 22:43Speaker 5: those free tickets your kids got from school. So tickets
- 22:46Speaker 5: for pre-K through 8th graders are now valid any day
- 22:50Speaker 5: through October 18th, including weekends.
- 22:53Speaker 2: This is so thoughtful of them.
- 22:54Speaker 5: So they know we had all that wet weather last weekend.
- 22:57Speaker 2: It may have messed up. your plans to go to
- 22:59Speaker 2: the fair.
- 23:01Speaker 5: So yeah, kids tickets, you can use them more than
- 23:03Speaker 5: you thought you could. Parents can actually get $ 5 off
- 23:06Speaker 5: their own tickets online. They set up a specific website, bigtex.com.
- 23:10Speaker 2: Slash parents. So there you go. Just a heads up.
- 23:13Speaker 1: I love that. And this week, it's going to be perfect.
- 23:15Speaker 1: I mean, perfect fair weather.
- 23:17Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:17Speaker 5: Yesterday, I wished I was there because it was just
- 23:19Speaker 5: so clear outside.
- 23:20Speaker 2: The air was so clean.
- 23:22Speaker 1: It was a little warm yesterday, though.
- 23:23Speaker 2: It was, but that's okay.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Same thing today, but by night, oh, it's perfect. And
- 23:27Speaker 1: this weekend's Texas OU weekend, too. Yeah, it is. Oh,
- 23:30Speaker 1: it's going to be insane. I love it.
- 23:31Speaker 5: Yeah, guys, it's Amazon's Fall Prime Day event as well. Actually,
- 23:34Speaker 5: today and tomorrow, you can take advantage of these deals
- 23:37Speaker 5: through midnight tomorrow. There's markdowns of up to 60% on

- 24:02Speaker 2: So yeah, big day.
- 24:03Speaker 4: I had a very low point in my life the
- 24:05Speaker 4: other day because of what I Amazon and I thought
- 24:09Speaker 4: this is, this is a new low, but.
- 24:11Speaker 1: I got in a couple hours, new underwear.
- 24:15Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 24:16Speaker 1: I know. I know. I just didn't want to do laundry. Oh,
- 24:20Speaker 1: I want Candace. It was going to... Bro. What? What
- 24:24Speaker 1: do you mean, bro? Did you say bro? Yeah. Or gross? No, bro.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Or both?
- 24:28Speaker 2: I just, yeah.
- 24:29Speaker 5: I can't believe you just didn't throw your undies in
- 24:30Speaker 5: the wash and let them go.
- 24:32Speaker 1: I wanted to go to bed so when they wake up,
- 24:34Speaker 1: they'd be on the porch.
- 24:36Speaker 3: No.
- 24:37Speaker 2: You did an overnight delivery?
- 24:39Speaker 1: Well, it was three or four hours, but they were
- 24:41Speaker 1: there quick. Wow.
- 24:42Speaker 2: And you paid the extra $ 3. 99 for that?
- 24:44Speaker 1: Yeah, I did.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Wow.
- 24:46Speaker 5: I know.
- 24:47Speaker 1: Just wasteful.
- 24:47Speaker 2: I can't believe that.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Well, sorry, Candace. I don't want to do laundry and
- 24:50Speaker 1: I want clean undies.
- 24:51Speaker 5: So then you woke up, went to the front door
- 24:54Speaker 5: and grabbed them and came to work?
- 24:55Speaker 1: Rip and wear. Wow. I mean, I'm being honest. We're
- 25:00Speaker 1: getting personal. I'm sorry. I'm just saying. Normally, I would
- 25:04Speaker 1: wash them before I wear them, but I hit a
- 25:06Speaker 1: new low, okay?
- 25:07Speaker 7: Okay.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Dirty little secret. There you go. Real quick, guys.
- 25:11Speaker 5: Carson Daly is producing a TRL reunion special for Roku.
- 25:16Speaker 5: There's already some moments going viral online because they've been
- 25:19Speaker 5: taping segments. in the original Times Square studio.
- 25:23Speaker 2: So NSYNC is a.
- 25:24Speaker 5: Part of this, if you can even call it NSYNC,
- 25:27Speaker 5: minus Justin Timberlake.
- 25:28Speaker 1: He's an idiot.
- 25:29Speaker 2: It makes no sense.
- 25:30Speaker 1: I'm so angry at Justin. I am too. Just reunite.
- 25:33Speaker 1: Show up with everybody. Everybody's in the window, TRL window.
- 25:36Speaker 3: Right.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Living their best life. What do you have to do?
- 25:40Speaker 5: We're not asking you to go to the Sphere for
- 25:42Speaker 5: two years, although we would love that.
- 25:44Speaker 1: That would be great and you should.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Just go to TRL for one day.
- 25:47Speaker 1: He's just so, he's probably the nicest guy. I mean,
- 25:50Speaker 1: I've met him. He's all right. He's fine. Yeah, whatever.
- 25:53Speaker 1: But I want to love him. I know. And he's
- 25:55Speaker 1: not making me.
- 25:56Speaker 2: It's not.
- 25:57Speaker 5: This is not an NSYNC reunion for TRL. You got
- 26:00Speaker 5: to join Justin.
- 26:01Speaker 2: I don't get it.
- 26:01Speaker 5: Ashanti was there, though. Nelly, Christina Milian. I saw Jojo,
- 26:06Speaker 5: who looked like she was just straight out of like 1999.
- 26:08Speaker 3: I know.
- 26:09Speaker 2: I love that. Yeah, I do, too. Nick Lachey was
- 26:13Speaker 2: also part of it. Maya.
- 26:14Speaker 5: They're saying it's scheduled to come out next year sometime.
- 26:18Speaker 2: But I'm ready. But I'm still like, yeah, burnt on
- 26:20Speaker 2: JT not being a part of it.
- 26:21Speaker 1: What a time to be alive, TRL, when you race
- 26:23Speaker 1: home from high school.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I went down there.
- 26:26Speaker 5: I went to New York to go like outside the
- 26:28Speaker 5: studio once.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Yeah. On a big release day.
- 26:31Speaker 1: For NSYNC, of course.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Yeah, the No Strings Attached release.
- 26:34Speaker 1: Yeah, duh.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Yeah, obviously.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Did Justin show up for that?
- 26:37Speaker 2: He was there. He was still part of the group then.
- 26:38Speaker 2: It was a good time. I'm Candace Lopez. Those are
- 26:41Speaker 2: your Texas.
- 26:41Speaker 5: Top Stories on the new Mix 102.9.
- 26:44Speaker 6: I might check it out.
- 26:46Speaker 1: Don't do it. It's Mix 102.9.
- 26:48Speaker 2: Bill of the Kid, Candace Lopez, Producer Pooh.
- 26:53Speaker 4: I'm saying to my chicken out for dirty little secret
- 26:55Speaker 4: and not let her on.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Well, I have to now.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you've been hyping it up, but you can't let
- 27:01Speaker 2: me down.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Listen, sometimes we'll do dirty little secrets.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Is HR calling us?
- 27:06Speaker 3: HR I'm not worried about. I'm more worried about our
- 27:10Speaker 3: legal department.
- 27:12Speaker 1: If I were to ask them, see, I have a philosophy, Candice. Basically,
- 27:16Speaker 1: it goes like this. Ask for forgiveness, not permission.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Right, right.
- 27:20Speaker 4: So I figure if I ask for permission to do this,
- 27:23Speaker 4: then I know.
- 27:24Speaker 1: They're going to be like.
- 27:24Speaker 2: No, they'll tell you to play it safe.
- 27:25Speaker 1: Yes.
- 27:26Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 27:26Speaker 4: So I'm not going to do that. So I'm just
- 27:28Speaker 4: going to do Dirty Little Secret next. But she has
- 27:29Speaker 4: a secret about someplace here. Very famous. Very famous establishment.
- 27:34Speaker 4: Not even an establishment.
- 27:35Speaker 1: Venue. It's our year. It's our boys.
- 27:38Speaker 4: That's all I'm going to say. About a secret about
- 27:41Speaker 4: something that happened at this particular place.
- 27:44Speaker 1: Weird. Allegedly. Allegedly. Allegedly. So, all right, let's get ready.
- 27:50Speaker 1: We'll do that next. Let's do the banger right now.
- 27:52Speaker 4: By the way, if you know, I think these days
- 27:54Speaker 4: are absolutely ridiculous because there's a national day for everything.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Yeah. This one I'm all about celebrating, though. It's National
- 28:01Speaker 1: Taco Day. Yay! Favorite taco spot on the planet. You
- 28:08Speaker 1: got one locally.
- 28:09Speaker 4: I'm going to say locally because, well, my favorite taco
- 28:11Speaker 4: spots are here anyway.
- 28:12Speaker 1: Yeah. Although we did just talk about Cocoa Shrimp.
- 28:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I mean, if I'm craving a taco, I'm definitely
- 28:16Speaker 5: just getting it from Cocoa Shrimp.
- 28:18Speaker 2: But there's so many good tacos in the Metroplex.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Yeah. What is your favorite place? Favorite place. You have
- 28:22Speaker 1: to pick one spot. Favorite taco place.
- 28:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I feel like we're all going to have a
- 28:25Speaker 5: soft spot for Fuel City Tacos. Y'all introduced me to them,
- 28:29Speaker 5: but there's like this little tiny place when I'm down
- 28:32Speaker 5: in like the Midlothian, Waxahachie area called 287.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Really?
- 28:36Speaker 2: Yeah, super good taco.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Okay, 287. Yeah. All right. Fuel City, it does have
- 28:41Speaker 1: a place in my heart, too.
- 28:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it does. You guys introduced.
- 28:44Speaker 1: Me to that.
- 28:44Speaker 3: We first met each other.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it's something about that place that just, I don't know.
- 28:48Speaker 4: It's just like, hmm. But if I had to say,
- 28:50Speaker 4: you know what, Paul, I'll let you go first. Your
- 28:51Speaker 4: favorite taco spot in DFW. You know, our homeboy Javier,
- 28:55Speaker 4: El Globo in the cliff.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Top three. Yes.
- 28:58Speaker 5: El Globo.
- 28:59Speaker 1: If you haven't had it, it is so good.
- 29:00Speaker 2: I don't know if that I have.
- 29:02Speaker 1: It's so good.
- 29:02Speaker 2: I would say.
- 29:03Speaker 1: El Globo, I would say Fuel City, and then I
- 29:06Speaker 1: would say Paisanos. Oh, yeah.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Paisanos, of course.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Because they got the warm salsa. Yeah.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Oh, but I always say it like a gringo, too.
- 29:14Speaker 4: And this is probably one of my favorite spots ever.
- 29:17Speaker 1: Tipicos. Oh, yeah.
- 29:19Speaker 3: Billy turned me on.
- 29:19Speaker 5: To that one.
- 29:20Speaker 2: Is that one by Love Field?
- 29:21Speaker 1: Yes. Well, there's one by Love Field and there's one
- 29:22Speaker 1: in Carrollton on Beltline.
- 29:24Speaker 5: Yes.
- 29:25Speaker 1: Oh, my. Yum. It's also, which I guess maybe these
- 29:30Speaker 1: two coincide. I didn't even know this was a thing.
- 29:33Speaker 1: It's also National Plus Size Appreciation Day.
- 29:37Speaker 3: What? Oh, shout out to my tortas.
- 29:39Speaker 1: Okay.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Can you believe that?
- 29:42Speaker 1: Odd, but great.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Celebrate everything.
- 29:46Speaker 1: You know what? We celebrate all shapes and sizes. Yeah,
- 29:48Speaker 1: we do. On this show.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Get it off your chest. It's Dirty Little Secret with
- 29:55Speaker 3: Billy the Kid in the Morning on Mix 102.9.
- 29:57Speaker 2: Brought to you by Mint Dentistry.
- 29:59Speaker 1: And it's time to confess. It's Billy the Kid, Candace Lopez.
- 30:02Speaker 1: Who is here? Your secrets, your confessions. Anytime you want.
- 30:06Speaker 1: Bring it. 833-787-1029.
- 30:09Speaker 4: I had a secret yesterday. We surprised Pooh with a
- 30:11Speaker 4: brand new car.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:13Speaker 4: Thank you to Grapevine Honda. We get to surprise him
- 30:16Speaker 4: with it tomorrow. And I'm disappointed.
- 30:18Speaker 1: Why?
- 30:19Speaker 4: I'm disappointed because so many people are like, there's a catch.
- 30:22Speaker 4: There's a catch. Somebody said, there's no way this car
- 30:26Speaker 4: has wheels.
- 30:28Speaker 2: It has wheels.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Will there be a surprise tomorrow?
- 30:32Speaker 3: Maybe.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Is it a bad surprise? I don't think so. No. No. Candace,
- 30:39Speaker 1: don't look at me like that.
- 30:40Speaker 4: Is it a brand new Honda Passport thanks to Grapevine Honda?
- 30:45Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 30:46Speaker 1: Yes.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Does it drive amazing? Yes. I test drove it myself. Good.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I think it drives even better now. Oh. Now? Yes. Tomorrow,
- 30:57Speaker 1: we'll do it.
- 30:58Speaker 4: And we're going to do it on our live stream
- 30:59Speaker 4: on Instagram so you can see his face when he
- 31:00Speaker 4: gets his brand new car because he's been working hard.
- 31:02Speaker 1: At Mix1029FM on Instagram.
- 31:05Speaker 3: And thank y'all.
- 31:06Speaker 1: For real. I appreciate y'all.
- 31:07Speaker 3: Yeah, I know you do.
- 31:08Speaker 2: Yeah, they're great.
- 31:10Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:10Speaker 1: At Mix1029FM tomorrow. They are great. It's going to be
- 31:13Speaker 1: extra great tomorrow when I see your face when you
- 31:15Speaker 1: see this roll out. Okay. No.
- 31:17Speaker 2: Do we have a bow for it? I hope we
- 31:19Speaker 2: have a bow.
- 31:20Speaker 1: Oh, even better. This is even better than a bow,
- 31:23Speaker 1: what he gets.
- 31:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:24Speaker 1: Candice.
- 31:24Speaker 2: Okay.
- 31:25Speaker 1: Okay. I can't wait.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Me too.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Why are you... What are you doing? All right.
- 31:29Speaker 4: Dirty little secret is on. We'll do that tomorrow. Don't
- 31:32Speaker 4: worry about it. If you've got a secret, let us know.
- 31:34Speaker 4: And now you have one.
- 31:35Speaker 7: Legally, I shouldn't even really be telling you guys this
- 31:38Speaker 7: because I technically signed an NDA, but I wanted to
- 31:42Speaker 7: tell someone. I've never actually really told anybody outside of
- 31:45Speaker 7: just a couple people in my family.
- 31:48Speaker 2: But fun fact. So I actually work at.
- 31:51Speaker 7: A very large stadium. And yeah, I'm not going to
- 31:55Speaker 7: tell you which one, but... A very certain professional football
- 31:59Speaker 7: team happens later.
- 32:01Speaker 1: I like another mystery. I'm wondering who it could be.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Is there a mystery left?
- 32:05Speaker 1: I don't think there's much of a mystery left.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Allen Eagles?
- 32:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Okay.
- 32:11Speaker 1: Got it.
- 32:11Speaker 5: Okay.
- 32:12Speaker 4: So don't say, but it's a very popular football team
- 32:15Speaker 4: at a major stadium.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Okay. Right.
- 32:17Speaker 6: So not this season, but last, this extremely wealthy guy
- 32:23Speaker 6: passed away. And I didn't know him personally, but He
- 32:28Speaker 6: was a huge, huge, huge fan of the team. And
- 32:31Speaker 6: I mean, like, huge, okay?
- 32:35Speaker 7: And on a Saturday morning, we were told that there
- 32:38Speaker 7: was going to be this private event that was happening
- 32:40Speaker 7: on the field. And very few employees were actually allowed
- 32:44Speaker 7: really anywhere near it. And everybody involved, we all had
- 32:47Speaker 7: to sign paperwork that was basically saying that we wouldn't
- 32:50Speaker 7: really ever talk about what we saw. So basically, it
- 32:53Speaker 7: was a funeral event.
- 32:55Speaker 2: At the stadium?
- 32:57Speaker 1: It was a funeral?
- 33:00Speaker 2: On the field?
- 33:00Speaker 7: With a literal casket on the field.
- 33:05Speaker 1: What? You can do that?
- 33:09Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 33:09Speaker 7: Well, if you're this wealthy man, yeah.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 33:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:17Speaker 7: I mean, I, they set up everything like literally right
- 33:23Speaker 7: onto the star in the middle of the field. And
- 33:25Speaker 7: there were maybe, I would say only about 20 people there.
- 33:30Speaker 3: Like it was.
- 33:31Speaker 7: Definitely, definitely his closest friends and family. And that was it.
- 33:37Speaker 7: And I guess this was something that this guy had
- 33:40Speaker 7: always said that when he passed, this was one of
- 33:43Speaker 7: his dreams. He wanted to have his funeral on the
- 33:46Speaker 7: field of his favorite football team. And you know what?
- 33:50Speaker 7: When you have enough money, you can make some crazy
- 33:52Speaker 7: things happen.
- 33:53Speaker 1: I guess.
- 33:54Speaker 3: So that was an actual casket on the star.
- 33:58Speaker 7: Yeah there was i'm.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Blown away right now.
- 34:02Speaker 7: It happened really really yeah it happened really early on
- 34:07Speaker 7: a saturday morning it was maybe 45 minutes to an
- 34:11Speaker 7: hour max and then everybody left and from what i
- 34:14Speaker 7: understand they had like his actual funeral was afterward somewhere
- 34:20Speaker 7: else but um All of us that were there, we
- 34:22Speaker 7: just sort of, we were in awe in a way. Like,
- 34:25Speaker 7: did that really just happen?
- 34:26Speaker 1: I would be too.
- 34:27Speaker 7: I worked there for years and I have never seen
- 34:31Speaker 7: anything like that. It's just crazy because this also wasn't
- 34:34Speaker 7: like ages ago.
- 34:35Speaker 2: It was very recent.
- 34:37Speaker 4: It's in the middle of the season too. That's what's
- 34:39Speaker 4: wild to me is it's like, unreal I mean I
- 34:42Speaker 4: know that there's some private things that happen in this
- 34:44Speaker 4: world and I know that you can you know use.
- 34:46Speaker 1: The field and you can rent it and you can do.
- 34:47Speaker 5: Things it's basically just a venue does anyone.
- 34:51Speaker 2: Say that it's a venue only for this or that for.
- 34:53Speaker 1: A funeral yeah who does that.
- 34:56Speaker 5: I don't know I mean I went to Michael Jackson's
- 34:57Speaker 5: funeral at Staples Center oh you did people knew about
- 35:00Speaker 5: it though they like sold tickets.
- 35:02Speaker 1: To it you ate a hot dog there I did but.
- 35:04Speaker 5: It was weird knowing I'd seen the Lakers play here
- 35:07Speaker 5: and seen Justin Bieber perform here.
- 35:09Speaker 1: And then you're watching a funeral. Right. That's strange.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that is crazy. Yeah, it was pretty wild. So
- 35:16Speaker 2: I guess your.
- 35:17Speaker 7: Dreams still can come true, whatever wild dreams you have.
- 35:21Speaker 2: But I just, I was there.
- 35:23Speaker 7: You know, I was there and I got to witness
- 35:25Speaker 7: this very rich man have a secret funeral on the
- 35:28Speaker 7: middle of a professional football field.
- 35:30Speaker 4: It just proves that if you have enough money, you
- 35:33Speaker 4: can make anything happen.
- 35:34Speaker 3: Yeah, you can do what you want.
- 35:36Speaker 1: Just do whatever. Yeah. I mean, I want to have
- 35:38Speaker 1: it on your caskets on the star.
- 35:40Speaker 5: The owner can allow whatever they want to happen in
- 35:43Speaker 5: the building they own.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Right.
- 35:44Speaker 4: We need to sage this field. Is this who Dak
- 35:47Speaker 4: was thrown into a couple of weeks ago? The ghost
- 35:49Speaker 4: in the end zone?
- 35:50Speaker 1: That's probably. No, no. They were in Brazil. Oh, that's right.
- 35:53Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right.
- 35:55Speaker 1: My mouth shut on that one. OK. Wow. I mean,
- 35:59Speaker 1: there's something there. I think there's I've witnessed a funeral
- 36:01Speaker 1: on that. Yeah.
- 36:03Speaker 4: During games sometimes. I feel like I'm actually sadder than
- 36:07Speaker 4: funerals sometimes.
- 36:10Speaker 3: If there's some ghosts in the house, they can help
- 36:11Speaker 3: with their defense.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. Can they play secondary? Well, listen, that
- 36:19Speaker 1: is mind-blowing. I mean, all jokes aside.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never heard of anything like that.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm trying to think about where I'd want my
- 36:26Speaker 1: funeral if I could have it anywhere.
- 36:28Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of who it was. Where, Billy, where?
- 36:30Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 36:31Speaker 4: I'm trying to think of where I would have my
- 36:32Speaker 4: funeral if I could have it anywhere. I mean, I
- 36:33Speaker 4: might have it at, I almost said the name of
- 36:36Speaker 4: the place. I don't want to say it. I might
- 36:38Speaker 4: have it there.
- 36:39Speaker 5: Really?
- 36:39Speaker 2: Yeah, why not?
- 36:40Speaker 1: I don't want to do it on the star. I
- 36:41Speaker 1: feel like that's disrespectful. Right, yeah, yeah. I want to
- 36:44Speaker 1: come down from the banners, like, hang me.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 36:46Speaker 1: I want to come flying in with some pyro. That'd
- 36:50Speaker 1: be wild.
- 36:51Speaker 3: Like, it's a halftime performance?
- 36:53Speaker 1: Like, monster jam. Oosh. You know what I mean?
- 36:57Speaker 3: Grave digger.
- 36:58Speaker 1: Remember how Lady Gaga flew into the stadium in the
- 37:01Speaker 1: Super Bowl?
- 37:02Speaker 3: Oh, she looked like a spider monkey.
- 37:03Speaker 1: Yeah, never forget that. That's how I want to come in.
- 37:06Speaker 4: Just my stiff body. Looking like Mitch McConnell floating up.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Oh, man. Well, I don't know. That's something I have
- 37:19Speaker 1: to think about. But that is an amazing secret. Thank
- 37:22Speaker 1: you so much. I can't wait to talk about this because, well,
- 37:25Speaker 1: obviously I won't say your name and all that good stuff.
- 37:28Speaker 1: And it definitely didn't happen at AT & T Stadium.
- 37:30Speaker 3: No, never.
- 37:32Speaker 1: We could be talking about the Frisco Cowboys Little League.
- 37:35Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a star.
- 37:36Speaker 1: Yeah, who knows? Well, thank you so much, and we
- 37:41Speaker 1: appreciate your secret.
- 37:42Speaker 7: Yeah, well, thanks for letting me share this just totally awesome,
- 37:46Speaker 7: interesting experience I had that I have to not let
- 37:49Speaker 7: anybody know, so it feels good to share it.
- 37:51Speaker 1: You witnessed history, that's for sure. Yeah.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Totally.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Totally. All right. Thank you. We should ask our girl
- 37:59Speaker 1: Haley that works for the Cowboys. Yeah.
- 38:01Speaker 2: Yeah, ask her.
- 38:02Speaker 1: Is that true? It sounds like she's telling the truth.
- 38:05Speaker 1: I don't know why she would lie about it.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's so weird.
- 38:08Speaker 4: What a random thing to lie about. But you got
- 38:11Speaker 4: that much money where you're going to put on the star?
- 38:15Speaker 1: I mean, I'm.
- 38:16Speaker 5: Sure people would be down to get married there, have
- 38:18Speaker 5: their funerals there, all the things.
- 38:20Speaker 1: I'm going to take it up a notch. I'm going
- 38:21Speaker 1: to do halftime then if my funeral happens. Halftime before.
- 38:27Speaker 1: All right. It's time for Candace Court. It gets settled
- 38:31Speaker 1: here with Billy the Kid in the morning.
- 38:34Speaker 4: All rise for the Honorable Judge Candace Lopez. Here she
- 38:37Speaker 4: is on Mix 102.9. And by the way, I'm still
- 38:39Speaker 4: blown away by this dirty little secret. Thank you for
- 38:41Speaker 4: your calls and DMs. Somebody just said, well, Chris Kyle's
- 38:44Speaker 4: funeral was there.
- 38:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't know that.
- 38:46Speaker 3: Which I do remember that. But she wasn't talking about that.
- 38:48Speaker 3: I'm like, wait, she talking about that? That wouldn't be
- 38:50Speaker 3: 20 people. That was a huge memorial.
- 38:52Speaker 2: That was public, too. Like there's videos and stuff.
- 38:54Speaker 1: Chris Kyle, the sniper. Yeah. No, that it was not him.
- 38:58Speaker 1: So I did. I forgot about that. Yeah. But I
- 39:01Speaker 1: remember what a massive deal that was. Yeah.
- 39:03Speaker 4: And, you know, rightfully so. But still, I was just like,
- 39:06Speaker 4: this is just some person. I wonder how many times
- 39:09Speaker 4: they have a funeral at a venue like this.
- 39:11Speaker 2: Right.
- 39:11Speaker 1: It's just kind of crazy to me. But she said, no,
- 39:14Speaker 1: I had to check with him. Like, it wasn't Chris. Oh, no, no, no, no.
- 39:17Speaker 1: That was I didn't think so. Different. But I wanted
- 39:20Speaker 1: to find out just in case because people were DM
- 39:22Speaker 1: and all right.
- 39:23Speaker 4: Candace Court, if you've got an issue for Candace at
- 39:25Speaker 4: Candace on air, she solves everybody's problems.
- 39:28Speaker 1: She gets to the bottom of everybody. problems. If I've
- 39:30Speaker 1: got a problem, do you think I call poo?
- 39:33Speaker 5: No.
- 39:34Speaker 3: I give good advice, don't I?
- 39:36Speaker 1: I call Candice. She gives better advice. Add Candice on
- 39:41Speaker 1: air on Instagram. Hit us up. All right.
- 39:42Speaker 4: Hey, Billy, Candice, I need help. Candice Court, please. I'm
- 39:46Speaker 4: so mad right now. I need to know if I'm
- 39:48Speaker 4: in the wrong. I've been with my company almost nine years.
- 39:52Speaker 4: I've always had great reviews. I've made it clear that
- 39:55Speaker 4: I want to grow. A supervisor position finally opened up,
- 39:58Speaker 4: and I applied. Then they passed me over for someone
- 40:02Speaker 4: from outside the company.
- 40:04Speaker 1: I was upset.
- 40:05Speaker 4: I couldn't accept it, but I guess I had to
- 40:08Speaker 4: until my boss told me they want me to train
- 40:13Speaker 4: the new supervisor because I, quote, know the systems better
- 40:16Speaker 4: than anyone. So I'm not qualified enough to get the job,
- 40:21Speaker 4: but I'm qualified enough to teach the person they hired
- 40:23Speaker 4: how to do it?
- 40:25Speaker 1: I told them I'm not doing it. Now management says
- 40:28Speaker 1: I'm being unprofessional and that my attitude might be exactly
- 40:32Speaker 1: why I wasn't promoted. My wife says suck it up,
- 40:35Speaker 1: train them, and start looking for another job. I think
- 40:38Speaker 1: the company has some nerve even asking me. Candice Court,
- 40:42Speaker 1: am I wrong for refusing to train my new boss? Oh,
- 40:48Speaker 1: this is a tough one.
- 40:49Speaker 5: That is nine years you've been at this place.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Nine years. You're asked to train your new boss, even
- 40:56Speaker 1: though you wanted to be the boss. Right.
- 40:59Speaker 2: I that stings for sure. I get it.
- 41:01Speaker 5: But I agree with your wife. Sometimes it's all about
- 41:04Speaker 5: who you know. You don't know what this person's qualifications
- 41:07Speaker 5: are or, you know, who they knew to get this job,
- 41:10Speaker 5: you know, different places.
- 41:11Speaker 2: Use different systems.
- 41:13Speaker 5: I mean, it makes sense that your company would need
- 41:15Speaker 5: somebody to teach them the system. Don't you have your
- 41:18Speaker 5: own IP connected to it? How could this person possibly know?
- 41:21Speaker 1: I don't know the systems, but if you've been putting
- 41:23Speaker 1: in work for a long time, almost a decade, and
- 41:26Speaker 1: you get passed up, I feel like there's a reason.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Right. Definitely start looking for a new job. If you've
- 41:32Speaker 5: been here nine years, if that's the next step up
- 41:34Speaker 5: for you and you haven't achieved that after nine years.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Maybe or this is the time.
- 41:38Speaker 4: And I could say this because I think there's times
- 41:40Speaker 4: when you get older in life, you're more self-aware. And
- 41:44Speaker 4: I think sometimes this might be these might be little
- 41:47Speaker 4: moments where you wake up and you go, OK, you
- 41:50Speaker 4: know what? I'm not going to get to a different
- 41:52Speaker 4: place in my life by doing the same old stuff.
- 41:54Speaker 1: Yeah. So what am I doing?
- 41:55Speaker 4: That's that's going hey he doesn't deserve that position yeah
- 41:59Speaker 4: look internally first before you start blaming everybody yeah and
- 42:02Speaker 4: if your.
- 42:02Speaker 5: Workplace doesn't hire within if that's a whole thing then
- 42:05Speaker 5: you know your.
- 42:05Speaker 4: Future that's a culture yeah thing that maybe that's or
- 42:08Speaker 4: maybe this person is just genuinely qualified more than you
- 42:12Speaker 4: are yeah and maybe your attitude does suck.
- 42:14Speaker 3: I don't know i'm putting in i'll just tell my
- 42:16Speaker 3: wife i'm putting in my two weeks i ain't trying
- 42:18Speaker 3: to train somebody.
- 42:19Speaker 2: And then what?
- 42:20Speaker 3: Yeah, if I'm over, look, I obviously got this position
- 42:24Speaker 3: because I'm qualified to do something.
- 42:26Speaker 1: So I can go out and get another job. Yeah,
- 42:28Speaker 1: but just because you're qualified something doesn't make you a
- 42:30Speaker 1: good leader.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Right.
- 42:31Speaker 5: Isn't a supervisor supervising people, things, operations?
- 42:35Speaker 1: You can be the best at your job and be
- 42:37Speaker 1: a bad supervisor.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Right.
- 42:38Speaker 1: Right.
- 42:38Speaker 3: I totally get that. But maybe maybe supervisor isn't for me.
- 42:41Speaker 3: I'll go get another job that pays more doing what
- 42:45Speaker 3: I do. Well, then you shouldn't be mad at this.
- 42:47Speaker 3: I'm not going to train them because they overlook me
- 42:49Speaker 3: for nine years. You ain't seen my quality of work.
- 42:53Speaker 3: I mean, they should have let me go then a
- 42:55Speaker 3: long time ago if I'm not worth it.
- 42:57Speaker 1: Maybe if I was a boss, I would have. I mean, honestly. Yeah.
- 43:02Speaker 1: I just think these are the moments where, you know what? Yeah,
- 43:04Speaker 1: you can be bitter. You can go, I'm not going
- 43:05Speaker 1: to train this person. No, whatever.
- 43:08Speaker 4: OK, or you could do the opposite and go, I'm
- 43:11Speaker 4: going to do the exact opposite.
- 43:12Speaker 1: I'm going to train them.
- 43:13Speaker 3: I'm going to be I'm going to show them exactly
- 43:16Speaker 3: what they're going to miss out on.
- 43:17Speaker 4: This person is going to start. I'm just a big
- 43:19Speaker 4: believer in work ethic proofs. speaks louder than anything that
- 43:23Speaker 4: you can do that's defiant. Or I think that you
- 43:26Speaker 4: could prove yourself and I wouldn't do, if I'm doing
- 43:29Speaker 4: the job, I'm going to do it right every time.
- 43:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 43:31Speaker 2: You've sealed your deal for the future.
- 43:32Speaker 5: If you are going to say, I'm not doing that,
- 43:35Speaker 5: you know, when they ask you to do something.
- 43:36Speaker 4: And then they're going to, when you get a reference,
- 43:38Speaker 4: you think they're not going to call and this person's like, well, yeah,
- 43:40Speaker 4: here's what happened.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Yeah. He said he wouldn't do it. They're going to call. Yeah.
- 43:43Speaker 5: Definitely don't let them take advantage of you. But I mean,
- 43:46Speaker 5: you have to do it if you're going to stay there.
- 43:47Speaker 1: And I get it.
- 43:48Speaker 2: Otherwise quit today.
- 43:49Speaker 4: I'd be emotional too because there's times I've been passed
- 43:51Speaker 4: up for things and you get emotional.
- 43:53Speaker 1: Yep. And why not? I mean, when you're passionate about
- 43:55Speaker 1: your job, you do.
- 43:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 43:56Speaker 1: But I think it's a learning experience. You go, I'm
- 43:59Speaker 1: going to do this.
- 43:59Speaker 4: I'm going to train this person so well. I'm going
- 44:02Speaker 4: to give them my, if I want to be professional,
- 44:04Speaker 4: I'm going to give them my two weeks notice or
- 44:06Speaker 4: I'm going to start looking and I'm going to do
- 44:08Speaker 4: my job better than I ever have. And they're going
- 44:10Speaker 4: to realize what they were missing. And I'm going to learn.
- 44:13Speaker 4: And I'm going to move on. I'm never going to
- 44:14Speaker 4: look back.
- 44:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:15Speaker 2: You don't want to ruin the nine years you put in.
- 44:17Speaker 1: Yeah. You know? Right. Why? Yeah.
- 44:19Speaker 4: Why ruin a decade of work? Because you're bitter about
- 44:21Speaker 4: being passed up? I think you were passed up for
- 44:24Speaker 4: a reason. I hate to say that.
- 44:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:25Speaker 5: There's no way you weren't passed up years before.
- 44:28Speaker 1: Right.
- 44:28Speaker 2: Multiple times.
- 44:29Speaker 1: For no reason?
- 44:29Speaker 2: In nine years of employment?
- 44:31Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 44:32Speaker 3: I think somebody in upper management is being petty and
- 44:35Speaker 3: just don't want to promote.
- 44:36Speaker 1: What if?
- 44:37Speaker 2: Well, it's possible.
- 44:38Speaker 1: You got to make yourself invaluable.
- 44:40Speaker 2: Yeah, then you don't want to work for them, but
- 44:42Speaker 2: do it the smart way.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Do it the smart way. Otherwise, you're going to burn yourself.
- 44:45Speaker 1: You're going to hurt your own career.
- 44:47Speaker 4: Why do it just because you're mad don't live in
- 44:49Speaker 4: that moment get out of that anger i've had to
- 44:51Speaker 4: do that before yeah go i gotta you know don't
- 44:53Speaker 4: be petty and i love to be petty yeah give
- 44:56Speaker 4: it a beat candace lopez what do you think.
- 44:59Speaker 5: Your verdict yeah sorry you're guilty of being a tutorial tony.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Give the tutorial take the.
- 45:06Speaker 3: L and figure out your plan i like that you
- 45:08Speaker 3: know what we agree on this one Texas.
- 45:11Speaker 1: Top stories on the 10s with Billy the Kid in
- 45:13Speaker 1: the morning. Only on the new Mix 102.9. All right,
- 45:16Speaker 1: Candace Lopez, what is going on over there?
- 45:18Speaker 5: Well, if you've seen the Gatorade recall online, here's what's
- 45:21Speaker 5: going on. More than 122,000 cases of Gatorade are being
- 45:25Speaker 5: recalled by PepsiCo. So this is over undeclared food dyes.
- 45:29Speaker 5: So I guess these are the lemon, lime, and orange versions.
- 45:33Speaker 5: They were distributed in 37 states, including Texas. But the
- 45:36Speaker 5: problem is they have yellow number six. or yellow number five,
- 45:40Speaker 5: and it doesn't say it on the packaging, so they
- 45:41Speaker 5: have to declare a recall. So it's not like everyone's
- 45:44Speaker 5: going to get sick if.
- 45:45Speaker 2: You're drinking Gatorade.
- 45:47Speaker 1: Okay, so it's not like E. coli.
- 45:48Speaker 2: The berries yesterday was one thing, but the Gatorade... I.
- 45:52Speaker 1: Had some of those berries, too. I know I did.
- 45:54Speaker 2: The Great Value?
- 45:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I had Great Value triple blend berries that got
- 45:58Speaker 4: recalled because I eat them almost every day in my yogurt.
- 46:01Speaker 1: So I just put them in there, and I know...
- 46:03Speaker 1: I don't know if they were the ones with the E. coli,
- 46:04Speaker 1: but I know they were ones... but i ate the
- 46:06Speaker 1: whole bag and i think i think i'm just different
- 46:08Speaker 1: i don't think coli messes with.
- 46:09Speaker 5: Me probably not but you had to go on and
- 46:11Speaker 5: figure out what the lot number was match it up
- 46:13Speaker 5: to your berries it's like a whole thing i wonder
- 46:15Speaker 5: who's actually doing.
- 46:16Speaker 1: That i'm just throwing them away yeah or eating them
- 46:18Speaker 1: yeah or eating them.
- 46:19Speaker 5: Yeah exactly uh guys residents in hazlitt say they're frustrated
- 46:24Speaker 5: by a new trend in their neighborhoods teens throwing parties
- 46:28Speaker 5: in unoccupied homes So I guess this is a newer
- 46:32Speaker 5: neighborhood that has homes, you know, that were just built,
- 46:34Speaker 5: but no one's moved into yet. They say this has
- 46:37Speaker 5: been happening for at least five months. The mayor of
- 46:40Speaker 5: Hazlitt says one of these parties had over 100 teenagers.
- 46:43Speaker 5: They made two arrests at a separate party recently. And
- 46:47Speaker 5: then neighbors are saying, you know, cars are driving up
- 46:50Speaker 5: and down the street, 70 miles per hour. One of
- 46:52Speaker 5: them said, you know, once these kids got kicked out
- 46:54Speaker 5: of this party, they had to all leave and walk
- 46:57Speaker 5: down the street. And somebody had a ring cam, I guess,
- 46:59Speaker 5: of someone just slamming their garage door.
- 47:01Speaker 1: No, that's not for no reason. But you're in Hazlitt. Yeah.
- 47:04Speaker 1: You got all those cornfields and pastures. Right. And you're
- 47:09Speaker 1: going into a house. Do it old school. Just do
- 47:12Speaker 1: a pasture party like we used to do.
- 47:13Speaker 2: No, I agree.
- 47:14Speaker 5: If you're going to do it, it's weird, though, you know,
- 47:17Speaker 5: because I'm always surprised by these new homes and they're
- 47:19Speaker 5: just unlocked.
- 47:20Speaker 2: They're just open.
- 47:21Speaker 5: Like even like touring homes.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Once they're just like, here, here's the code.
- 47:24Speaker 5: Really?
- 47:25Speaker 2: You don't even know me.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Yeah, I know.
- 47:26Speaker 4: Well, I mean, I guess we didn't have that when
- 47:28Speaker 4: I was a kid. We were just doing old regular
- 47:30Speaker 4: parties and fields and bonfires and stuff like that.
- 47:33Speaker 1: I'm not saying kids, you should do that.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Right.
- 47:36Speaker 1: The kids aren't listening right now. Well, maybe.
- 47:38Speaker 7: Either way.
- 47:38Speaker 5: There was a huge party in my neighborhood a couple
- 47:41Speaker 5: weeks ago. My neighbor texted me because we heard cops
- 47:43Speaker 5: everywhere and then cars going down the street. Sounded like
- 47:45Speaker 5: the same thing, but it was actually somebody's house. I
- 47:47Speaker 5: guess the parents were out of town.
- 47:48Speaker 1: Did you ever go to pastor parties back in the day, Candace,
- 47:50Speaker 1: or no?
- 47:51Speaker 2: Yeah, after football games.
- 47:52Speaker 1: Yeah. Always. You did? Yeah. Oh, you did? Oh, yeah. Always.
- 47:56Speaker 1: Pastor parties. I never really had those growing up, though,
- 47:59Speaker 1: because I grew up in Michigan and Detroit. We didn't
- 48:01Speaker 1: have pastors.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Right.
- 48:02Speaker 4: We had like, you know, bonfire parties, but it would
- 48:05Speaker 4: be like, you know, in abandoned buildings and stuff.
- 48:07Speaker 1: Right. Yeah.
- 48:07Speaker 5: We had so much space in Mesquite back in the
- 48:09Speaker 5: day where you could just go and do whatever.
- 48:11Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:12Speaker 2: Somebody's property. They had a tractor and, you know, all
- 48:15Speaker 2: hay bales and all that stuff.
- 48:16Speaker 1: Candace, let me be honest. And I know your parents
- 48:18Speaker 1: are listening. You can say it.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:20Speaker 1: Were you drinking Boone's Farm? No.
- 48:22Speaker 2: I honestly wasn't. No, I'd tell you if I was.
- 48:27Speaker 3: Apple Hill?
- 48:28Speaker 1: Strawberry Hill.
- 48:29Speaker 2: No, I was just riding on the trailer back there
- 48:31Speaker 2: or driving the tractor.
- 48:32Speaker 1: Really? Yeah. You were driving tractors?
- 48:34Speaker 2: One time I drove the tractor.
- 48:35Speaker 5: Well, we had a trailer, you know, that was like a,
- 48:38Speaker 5: what do you like, go around the haunted houses and
- 48:39Speaker 5: stuff like that.
- 48:40Speaker 1: Oh, like a hayride?
- 48:41Speaker 2: Yeah, a hayride.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 48:42Speaker 2: It was kind of like that.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Oh, good for you, Candace.
- 48:45Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:45Speaker 1: I wasn't doing Boone's Farm either.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Good for you. Real quick, guys, Taylor Swift celebrating today.
- 48:51Speaker 5: She just ended Ella Langley's record 24 week run at
- 48:55Speaker 5: number one.
- 48:55Speaker 2: Her song Patient.
- 48:56Speaker 5: Zero debuted at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts.
- 49:00Speaker 2: This is Taylor's.
- 49:00Speaker 5: 10th number one debut on that chart. Three of her
- 49:03Speaker 5: other new songs from, you know, Life of a Showgirl,
- 49:05Speaker 5: The Encore. Also debuted in the top five. But I
- 49:09Speaker 5: wonder if this was strategic for Taylor to be like,
- 49:12Speaker 5: let's wait until Ella breaks the record.
- 49:14Speaker 1: I heard she did. Really?
- 49:15Speaker 4: I heard she purposely waited because she knew she was
- 49:17Speaker 4: going to, you know, stomp all over Ella.
- 49:20Speaker 1: And she didn't want to do that. So, I mean,
- 49:21Speaker 1: I thought that was really nice and respectful.
- 49:23Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure.
- 49:24Speaker 5: She's now only behind the Beatles and Mariah Carey for
- 49:26Speaker 5: most hot 100 number ones.
- 49:28Speaker 1: Wow.
- 49:29Speaker 2: Yeah, she does it again, that Taylor Swift.
- 49:31Speaker 1: All right.
- 49:32Speaker 2: I'm Candace Lopez.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Grandma.
- 49:33Speaker 2: Let's hear Texas Top Stories.
- 49:35Speaker 1: Let's go. Oh, that's a hot take. Let us know
- 49:37Speaker 1: what you think.
- 49:38Speaker 2: Here's today's hot take.
- 49:39Speaker 1: This guy here. Wow. It's Mix 102.9. Billy the Kid,
- 49:45Speaker 1: Candace Lopez, Producer Pooh.
- 49:46Speaker 4: Sometimes we talk about things before we're going to talk
- 49:48Speaker 4: about them or if we're going to talk about them,
- 49:49Speaker 4: we discuss them, blah, blah, blah. We started getting into
- 49:51Speaker 4: it right away on this one because I could not believe. Okay,
- 49:54Speaker 4: hot take of the day. If somebody's rich, I'm talking rich,
- 49:59Speaker 4: should they have to pay for their friends who aren't?
- 50:02Speaker 4: And here's how this started. We started talking about because
- 50:06Speaker 4: LeBron James, his wife was in the news because I
- 50:10Speaker 4: guess she was taking a flight with a friend or
- 50:12Speaker 4: friend slash business partner. And she was in first class
- 50:17Speaker 4: and her friend. flu coach right and i'm thinking to
- 50:23Speaker 4: myself yeah i mean okay it is what it is
- 50:26Speaker 4: i don't know their dynamic i don't know what's happening
- 50:28Speaker 4: right and because to me just because somebody one of
- 50:32Speaker 4: the people in the relationship have money like a lot
- 50:36Speaker 4: of money or they want to spend it doesn't mean
- 50:38Speaker 4: that she doesn't have money because she's not in first
- 50:39Speaker 4: class by the way There's plenty of people who have
- 50:41Speaker 4: money who just don't want to fly first class because they.
- 50:43Speaker 1: Think it's a waste. Yeah. Right?
- 50:46Speaker 3: In this case, people are like, oh, I can't believe
- 50:48Speaker 3: LeBron's wife wouldn't just pay for her friend to be
- 50:51Speaker 3: first class. Mm-hmm.
- 50:52Speaker 1: And I'm like, I mean, maybe, maybe not. I don't
- 50:55Speaker 1: think she's automatically crazy, though. Yeah.
- 50:57Speaker 5: I mean, I feel like they probably fly together a lot.
- 51:00Speaker 5: So how could you possibly pay for her to upgrade
- 51:03Speaker 5: to first on every flight? But if we're just going
- 51:05Speaker 5: on a random trip and you can't afford it and
- 51:08Speaker 5: I can, let's go. I'm putting you in first right
- 51:10Speaker 5: next to me. Like this experience is going to be
- 51:13Speaker 5: for us.
- 51:14Speaker 1: I don't think you would.
- 51:15Speaker 2: Oh, absolutely.
- 51:16Speaker 3: I don't think you would.
- 51:17Speaker 2: Are you kidding me?
- 51:18Speaker 1: I don't think you would. If I could afford it? No,
- 51:20Speaker 1: I mean, just be, okay, so if you're, and what's rich?
- 51:23Speaker 1: Rich is different to different people. Yeah.
- 51:25Speaker 4: So because, so if somebody has more money, then everybody
- 51:29Speaker 4: should pay for that person who doesn't?
- 51:32Speaker 2: It would help.
- 51:32Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:33Speaker 2: If you can here and there.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Why? I mean, LeBron's wife, LeBron is obviously a billionaire,
- 51:38Speaker 3: so she got his money. So why can't she pay
- 51:41Speaker 3: for her friend? Why do I got to sit in
- 51:44Speaker 3: seat 43A when you sitting up there getting chicken tartare
- 51:48Speaker 3: and all that good stuff up there in first class?
- 51:50Speaker 1: What's chicken tartare?
- 51:51Speaker 3: Just the first class food.
- 51:53Speaker 4: Now, so this is what's funny is because I think, Pooh,
- 51:57Speaker 4: if you were a multimillionaire, you're going to pay for
- 52:00Speaker 4: all of us to fly first class everywhere?
- 52:02Speaker 3: If I come up, we all come up.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Play the line music. No. Listen.
- 52:05Speaker 5: Listen.
- 52:06Speaker 3: No, you know, at times when I'm- Play the line music. Wow,
- 52:10Speaker 3: he's trying to drown me out. At times when I've
- 52:12Speaker 3: had some money, I'll be like, Billy, I got you.
- 52:15Speaker 3: And you always look at me crazy like, no, you don't.
- 52:17Speaker 3: And I'll be like, yeah, I do.
- 52:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to remember when that's happened.
- 52:20Speaker 3: Oh, there's been some times I paid for Starbucks.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Let me go back to the 1900s. Should we get
- 52:24Speaker 1: the time machine up?
- 52:28Speaker 3: He's tripping. There's been some times I've been like, hey,
- 52:31Speaker 3: even with... Oh, wow, you're really going to take the
- 52:34Speaker 3: time machine.
- 52:34Speaker 1: We're taking it back to 1988. What?
- 52:39Speaker 4: In the time machine, it looks like Pooh paid for
- 52:41Speaker 4: my Whataburger in 1988.
- 52:42Speaker 3: There's been a couple of times I've even surprised both.
- 52:45Speaker 3: I've shocked both of y'all. I'll be like, hey, I
- 52:47Speaker 3: got a Starbucks. And y'all both look at me like,
- 52:49Speaker 3: I'm crazy. No, that's cool, and I appreciate it.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:51Speaker 3: When I have it... You know, I share it.
- 52:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but off the air, Pooh called me cheap.
- 52:56Speaker 3: Yeah, well, you're cheap because you said, I'm not going
- 52:58Speaker 3: to pay for your first class tea. If you're a multimillionaire,
- 53:02Speaker 3: why can't I come up with you?
- 53:03Speaker 5: It's crazy to see a billionaire like wife, you know,
- 53:08Speaker 5: she's her own woman, but like.
- 53:09Speaker 1: Not doing that.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Like I was just looking it up like.
- 53:12Speaker 5: A billion dollars makes you around 100K a day in interest,
- 53:15Speaker 5: like whatever.
- 53:16Speaker 1: If I'm a billionaire, I'm not even flying commercial.
- 53:20Speaker 2: That's a good point.
- 53:21Speaker 1: So it doesn't even matter.
- 53:22Speaker 2: Yeah, why are they doing that?
- 53:24Speaker 1: Well, because it's her money. Why are we assuming that
- 53:26Speaker 1: she doesn't use her own money? She's an entrepreneur.
- 53:28Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 53:29Speaker 1: She's got her own money. No, for sure.
- 53:31Speaker 3: She'd get it off her husband.
- 53:33Speaker 1: No. Dude, come on.
- 53:35Speaker 2: I don't know what she has.
- 53:36Speaker 3: That'd be like if I married J-Lo. You're going to
- 53:38Speaker 3: be like, well, who's an entrepreneur? No, I got baby's money.
- 53:42Speaker 3: I'm using her credit card or the black card and
- 53:44Speaker 3: I'm flying you.
- 53:45Speaker 1: And Candace to Tulum or whatever.
- 53:47Speaker 4: If you're really saying this point, then maybe LeBron's like,
- 53:50Speaker 4: you're not going to pay for all your friends first class.
- 53:53Speaker 1: Yeah. If they want to fly first class, who said
- 53:55Speaker 1: that he should not only should you play first class,
- 53:57Speaker 1: I should be paying for all the tickets. If you're
- 53:59Speaker 1: a multimillionaire, then everybody should be paying for the tickets. Wow.
- 54:02Speaker 3: They're my closest friends.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Yes.
- 54:04Speaker 3: Y'all two are my closest friends.
- 54:05Speaker 5: I would pay for both on a trip together. It's
- 54:08Speaker 5: like vacation. Like, yeah, I can see where you would
- 54:11Speaker 5: do that. I don't know why these women are flying together.
- 54:13Speaker 5: Maybe it's a business thing and it just doesn't make
- 54:15Speaker 5: sense for her to upgrade.
- 54:17Speaker 3: If it's a business thing, all the more reason she
- 54:20Speaker 3: can ride that off. Let me ride these tickets off.
- 54:23Speaker 1: What's riding?
- 54:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Isn't that what they do? Yeah, they'll ride it off.
- 54:28Speaker 3: Ride it off.
- 54:29Speaker 1: Oh, you mean ride it off. Ride it off.
- 54:30Speaker 3: Ride it off.
- 54:31Speaker 1: I said ride.
- 54:32Speaker 3: Yeah, ride it off.
- 54:34Speaker 1: I'm going to go to my CPA and be like,
- 54:35Speaker 1: can we ride this off? You know what I mean?
- 54:40Speaker 3: But I'm saying don't be cheap. You should share the wealth.
- 54:44Speaker 4: You shouldn't assume, though. I mean, listen, if I was
- 54:47Speaker 4: a multimillionaire, I'm doing it, too, probably. But I don't
- 54:50Speaker 4: think you should assume just because somebody has more money.
- 54:53Speaker 4: You should they should pay for you.
- 54:54Speaker 2: No, you shouldn't assume.
- 54:56Speaker 1: You shouldn't assume that. It's weird.
- 54:57Speaker 2: At the end of the day, people are people.
- 54:59Speaker 1: Right.
- 55:00Speaker 2: But I can see where it gets awkward because you
- 55:02Speaker 2: just wonder, like, how's this going to go down?
- 55:04Speaker 4: That's my point, though, because then when you go out
- 55:06Speaker 4: to eat, like there's plenty of times I go out
- 55:08Speaker 4: to eat with somebody.
- 55:09Speaker 1: And I paid for Pooh to sit first class before,
- 55:11Speaker 1: by the way. Yeah.
- 55:12Speaker 3: He upgraded miles even.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Yeah. You take care of me. But tell me this.
- 55:17Speaker 3: Tell me this. You wouldn't look at me sideways if
- 55:19Speaker 3: we all went to the airlines and then y'all two
- 55:23Speaker 3: are sitting 36, 32 and I'm up front. You'd be like,
- 55:27Speaker 3: how did Pooh? Why did Pooh just all of a
- 55:29Speaker 3: sudden get in first class and we're back here?
- 55:31Speaker 1: Trust me, if you were a millionaire, that would happen.
- 55:33Speaker 3: No, I know you, Billy. You'd be like, for real?
- 55:37Speaker 1: No, you'd be flying private and we'd be on Frontier.
- 55:41Speaker 1: That's what you'd do to us. I would not.
- 55:44Speaker 3: No, y'all would be right there with me.
- 55:46Speaker 2: If Pooh had it, he'd pay for us.
- 55:47Speaker 1: Yeah, you know I would. I don't know about that.
- 55:50Speaker 5: If he was a multimillionaire, he would have let us in.
- 55:52Speaker 5: Because the experience is for us. We want to be
- 55:54Speaker 5: in first class together. Like, what's the fun if you're
- 55:56Speaker 5: by yourself?
- 55:57Speaker 1: Oh, it's fun.
- 55:58Speaker 2: Well, it is fun.
- 55:59Speaker 1: Sleeping.
- 56:00Speaker 2: It's more fun when your friends are up there with you.
- 56:03Speaker 1: I know. Look at you.
- 56:04Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 56:05Speaker 4: I've used my miles to pay for booze trips many times.
- 56:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 56:08Speaker 5: It's more fun when he's sitting next to you.
- 56:10Speaker 1: A hundred percent. Yeah.
- 56:11Speaker 3: You know you had the best time when I was
- 56:13Speaker 3: in first class with you because I had never experienced that.
- 56:16Speaker 1: You know, I enjoyed it.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Ooh, warm peanuts. I got warm nuts.
- 56:20Speaker 1: What? I could literally probably claim poo on my taxes. Cool.
- 56:24Speaker 1: At this point.
- 56:25Speaker 3: I'm an extra dependent. I'll say that.
- 56:27Speaker 1: I mean, listen, I go out, we'll pay. I'm like, yeah,
- 56:29Speaker 1: no problem. I'll pay for him. Not a problem at all.
- 56:31Speaker 4: And I love watching him eat stuff that normally I
- 56:35Speaker 4: know he would never pay for. If he had the
- 56:36Speaker 4: money or not, he's not going to pay for it.
- 56:38Speaker 4: I remember one time I took Pooh to eat lobster,
- 56:40Speaker 4: like big old lobster dinner. And oh, you should have
- 56:44Speaker 4: saw it. Oh, when we were in first class, this
- 56:46Speaker 4: first time he ever sat first class, I'll never forget
- 56:49Speaker 4: how crazy and how he freaked out.
- 56:51Speaker 1: Because he The.
- 56:54Speaker 4: Flight attendant came up to us and, you know, they
- 56:56Speaker 4: know your names in first class.
- 56:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 56:59Speaker 1: And she was like, she said his first and last name.
- 57:03Speaker 3: Government.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Government name said, would you like more peanuts? And he goes,
- 57:06Speaker 1: how'd you know my name?
- 57:08Speaker 3: Because it scared me. I was like, does he know
- 57:10Speaker 3: my name?
- 57:12Speaker 4: This weather, 80, sunny all day. This is good, fair weather.
- 57:15Speaker 4: It's Mix 102.9. Ability Kid, Candace Lopez. Producer Pooh is here,
- 57:20Speaker 4: by the way, tomorrow. Also nice weather, and I get
- 57:22Speaker 4: so excited for this. Candace, are you excited, too?
- 57:24Speaker 2: I'm so ready.
- 57:25Speaker 4: Well, yesterday we surprised Pooh. I mean, a big surprise.
- 57:28Speaker 4: After he just called us cheap. Wait, wait, why do
- 57:31Speaker 4: you keep saying us?
- 57:32Speaker 3: I called you. Yeah, that's right.
- 57:35Speaker 1: He called me cheap.
- 57:36Speaker 3: Yeah, I know Candace ain't cheap.
- 57:37Speaker 1: I know you.
- 57:38Speaker 2: Thanks, Pooh.
- 57:39Speaker 1: You're a cheat.
- 57:40Speaker 4: This is coming from the guy who is literally paid
- 57:42Speaker 4: for more Pooh flights than anybody in this room.
- 57:45Speaker 1: Pooh flights, Pooh meals, Pooh everything.
- 57:48Speaker 2: You're right.
- 57:49Speaker 4: So I'm a cheat because if I was a multimillionaire,
- 57:53Speaker 4: I'm not necessarily going to upgrade all my friends to
- 57:55Speaker 4: first class.
- 57:56Speaker 1: If I'm in first class.
- 57:57Speaker 3: I'm not really worried about all your friends. I'm just
- 57:59Speaker 3: talking about moi, like me. Yeah, everybody else, cool.
- 58:03Speaker 1: If everybody else was in coach, as long as you're
- 58:05Speaker 1: in first, you're good?
- 58:06Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 58:07Speaker 1: See, now you're selfish. No, I'm not.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Did you leave me back there?
- 58:10Speaker 1: No, no, of course. Candace, you right there. Oh, so
- 58:12Speaker 1: I got to pay for Candace, too.
- 58:14Speaker 3: Candace is up there before me, but I'm right there.
- 58:16Speaker 1: Okay. We right there. Gotcha. We still coming. All right.
- 58:19Speaker 4: Well, in perfect timing, we're cheap, but we got Poo
- 58:22Speaker 4: a new car.
- 58:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 58:24Speaker 4: Surprised him yesterday with a new car. Big, huge reveal.
- 58:27Speaker 4: Thanks to Grapevine Honda.
- 58:28Speaker 1: Yep. Because he's been working so hard.
- 58:32Speaker 3: Okay. All right. I got a question, though. What's the catch?
- 58:36Speaker 3: There's got to be some kind of catch. Like, shout
- 58:38Speaker 3: out to Chelsea. She said, Billy's probably.
- 58:41Speaker 1: Going to get you a Wienermobile. I wish. I love Billy.
- 58:44Speaker 1: If Honda made one, I would. Yeah. No, the Passport
- 58:48Speaker 1: is nice.
- 58:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's super nice. It's brand new.
- 58:51Speaker 1: And I'm really honestly offended by this. Yeah.
- 58:54Speaker 4: Because the fact that Pooh and everyone DMing me thinks
- 58:56Speaker 4: that there's some catch, that there's going to be no
- 58:58Speaker 4: tires on the car.
- 58:59Speaker 5: It's a Power Wheels Passport.
- 59:01Speaker 1: Somebody said it's a Power Wheels Passport.
- 59:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't think Honda makes a Power Wheels Passport.
- 59:06Speaker 3: Tracy DM me said, it's probably a model. No. It's
- 59:09Speaker 3: a passport model.
- 59:10Speaker 1: No. Model?
- 59:12Speaker 3: Yeah, like, you know those lifestyle models.
- 59:14Speaker 1: Oh, no, no, no, no. You can really drive it. Okay.
- 59:17Speaker 1: First of all, Grapevine Honda's been incredible. There's no way
- 59:19Speaker 1: they would let me do this if I was going
- 59:21Speaker 1: to just trick you.
- 59:23Speaker 5: Right.
- 59:23Speaker 2: It's not a trick.
- 59:24Speaker 1: It's not a trick. Okay.
- 59:25Speaker 2: It's a treat.
- 59:26Speaker 3: Oh, y'all can see?
- 59:28Speaker 1: Sometimes.
- 59:32Speaker 4: Tomorrow you are getting a new car. We're going to
- 59:34Speaker 4: Grapevine Honda. We're going to live stream the whole thing.
- 59:36Speaker 4: I'm super excited. So I want everybody to watch at
- 59:38Speaker 4: Mix 1029 FM. We're going to do it around 11 o'clock.
- 59:40Speaker 4: I think 11 a.m. Give you more details in the morning,
- 59:42Speaker 4: but around 11 a.m. We're all going to Grapevine Honda. No,
- 59:46Speaker 4: it's not a power wheel. It's a real car. First
- 59:50Speaker 4: of all, you know the girls poo date.
- 59:53Speaker 1: Whoa!
- 59:55Speaker 2: Come on.
- 59:55Speaker 3: That's funny you say that because James Flores said, hey,
- 59:59Speaker 3: are you sure the girls you date could fit in
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: that car?
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Oh my gosh. First of all. Come on, James. We
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: love people of all shapes and sizes.
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: Yeah, you know, my toxic tortoise.
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: But the last thing I would do is set you
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: up in a Hot Wheels car, a Power Wheels car.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah. No. No.
- 1:00:15Speaker 2: You could say five, I think, in the Honda Passport.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: What you trying to say, Keith?
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: Well, no. How many girls do you want? Jeez.
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: How did that be?
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: Dang. That's not what I meant.
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: Oh, no, you did.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: All right. So, no. No, you didn't. There's doors on
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: the car. Another DM I got.
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: There are doors on the car.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: And windows.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Yes. There's doors, windows.
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: You're known for pranking me. It's a real car.
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: You're doing something. It's a beautiful Passport. Yeah.
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: I think it's even more beautiful- Now, with the slight
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: change that might have happened to it.
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Well, I mean.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: What's the catch?
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: We're right behind Honda. They know what they're doing.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: They do. They do know what they're doing.
- 1:00:56Speaker 3: Okay, does it have a.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Radio at least?
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: They're going to detail it and stuff. They've detailed it.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: Bluetooth? Yeah.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: No, it's got a... What?
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Is it one of the basic models?
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: No.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: The technology... Poo, your current car has a cassette.
- 1:01:09Speaker 3: First of all, dual CD and cassette.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: Let's get that right. All right. Well, listen, this has.
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: And I can turn the... If you turn the station
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: to 89.7, I can Bluetooth. Oh, okay.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: Well.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Oh, wow. That's fancy.
- 1:01:23Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: You also, if you turn left, a horn hawk. So
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: trust me, the Honda Passport, it's not going to do that.
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: It's top of the line.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: Okay. So, but there will be a surprise. Because, I mean,
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: it's not like me just to have no surprises.
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: It's automatic.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: Is it?
- 1:01:42Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Well, I can drive a manual.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: It don't matter. It's an automatic manual. I can do that.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: No, no.
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: We don't need you to work harder than you already do.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: So it's automatic. Tomorrow, I'm just saying, Grapevine Honda at
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: Mix 1029 FM. You want to be a part of
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: the surprise. That's all I'm going to say.
- 1:01:58Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: And you are a part of it.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: If you're listening right now, there's going to be something
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: in it for you.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: That's a good, ooh, I'm going to leave it just
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: like that. That's a good way to put it. Look
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: at Boo's face. He's like, what? It's Texas Top Stories
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: on the 10s with Billy the Kid in the Morning.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: Only on the new Mix 102.9.
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: She is the one and only Candace Lopez. What is
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: going on, Candace?
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Well, the State Fair.
- 1:02:20Speaker 5: Of Texas made an announcement about those free tickets your
- 1:02:23Speaker 5: kids got from school. So tickets for pre-K through 8th graders.
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: are now valid any day through October 18th, including weekends.
- 1:02:31Speaker 5: So I guess they were like, you know, this rain
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: kind of messed things up for people who were.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: Expecting to go to the fair. So they made some changes.
- 1:02:39Speaker 5: Parents can also get $ 5 off their tickets online at
- 1:02:42Speaker 5: bigtex.com slash parents. And yeah, I don't know if you've
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: seen this online, but there was a small fire this
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: morning at the State Fair. Dallas Fire Rescue put it
- 1:02:53Speaker 5: out within 20 minutes. This was along the midway there.
- 1:02:56Speaker 5: I guess they said it was a ring toss game.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Yeah, I saw it.
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: Balloon drop.
- 1:02:59Speaker 5: Yeah, there was a lot of smoke, but they blocked
- 1:03:01Speaker 5: it off to be safe at the fair when it
- 1:03:03Speaker 5: opens today.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: So just a heads up.
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: Yeah, it's good. Everything's fine. Big Texas, fine. Yeah. He
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: does get a little bit nervous around fire. I mean, naturally,
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: but you could see the smoke because it's one of
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: those fires that even if it was a little fire,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: it smoked a lot. Right. I always wonder that when
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: I see smoke coming from like, you know, you're driving,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: you're like, where's that coming from?
- 1:03:21Speaker 5: Right.
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: Well, now, you know, if you saw that it's from
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: the midway, but it's all good.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Everything's under control. Yep. The fair is going to be open.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Is it open now?
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: Totally fine. I think they open at 10.
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: I think they open at 10. Either way, all is good.
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: All is good.
- 1:03:34Speaker 5: Yeah, guys, it's also Amazon's fall Prime Day event today
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: and tomorrow through midnight.
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: You can score these deals.
- 1:03:40Speaker 5: There's markdowns of up to 60 percent. Brands like Apple, Hanes, Ugg, Levi's.
- 1:03:47Speaker 5: There's so much on there exclusively for Amazon Prime members.
- 1:03:50Speaker 5: But I was looking at some of the deals, iPads. AirPods,
- 1:03:53Speaker 5: a bunch of beauty products.
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: They're cheap, cheap?
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: Yeah, really good deals.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Okay, I like that. Are you getting anything?
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: I'll probably be on there later and browse. I don't know.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: I don't really need anything at this moment.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: Well, none of us do, but we still get stuff.
- 1:04:05Speaker 5: That's the whole point of Amazon is everything.
- 1:04:07Speaker 2: You don't need.
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: What's the most ridiculous thing you've Amazoned?
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: A waffle maker. Yeah, during the Super Bowl.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: You did it during the Super Bowl to make waffles
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: before the game was over.
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: Yeah, I was like, somebody wanted waffles. I didn't have
- 1:04:20Speaker 5: a waffle maker. We were during the game, you know,
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: we're like, we could do this.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: It'll be here in an hour. And we had waffles. Yeah,
- 1:04:26Speaker 2: probably by the end of halftime.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it should have been an Amazon commercial.
- 1:04:29Speaker 2: I know. It would have been great.
- 1:04:31Speaker 5: Guys, Carson Daly is producing a TRL reunion special. This
- 1:04:35Speaker 5: is going to be for Roku. Some of these moments
- 1:04:38Speaker 5: have already gone viral. I saw a bunch of fan
- 1:04:40Speaker 5: videos where fans were lined up waiting to see these
- 1:04:43Speaker 5: celebrities going in and out of the studio. They're taping
- 1:04:46Speaker 5: it at the original Times Square studio.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: NSYNC was a part of this.
- 1:04:51Speaker 5: With the exception of Justin Timberlake, which isn't really an
- 1:04:54Speaker 5: NSYNC reunion to me.
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: No.
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: So, yeah, kind of upset about that.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: I just don't get why he doesn't want to cooperate.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: Everybody always said it was J.C. Chazet. Yeah. But it's
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: always Justin, I feel like.
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, he's not on tour.
- 1:05:06Speaker 5: I know he's been with his wife. Like, you know,
- 1:05:08Speaker 5: she's promoting a film or whatever. But, like, I think
- 1:05:11Speaker 5: you could make time for TRL. It's only the thing
- 1:05:14Speaker 5: that launched you guys.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Just do a residency at the Spear Hotel.
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: Sphere.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: Yeah. And just, I mean, you don't have to go anywhere.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: You just stay there. That's what everyone's doing now.
- 1:05:24Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: You would kill it. I mean, it would be the most...
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: Can you imagine.
- 1:05:28Speaker 4: Is NSYNC and Backstreet Boys together doing a show at
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: the Sphere?
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Insane.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Oh, that'd be the best show ever.
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: Yeah, but this TRL reunion looks fun.
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: It's set to come out sometime next year, but I
- 1:05:38Speaker 5: think Christina Milian was there, Nelly, Ashanti, JoJo, Nick Lachey.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: That was the best.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: Vanessa Lachey.
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: TRL was the best.
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: It was.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: Just racing home, trying to get it on so you
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: could see what was going to happen. It was live.
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: There was the audience. It was like you never knew
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: if like, you know, performers remember like when Eminem showed
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: up on time. There was another artist there before him
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: and he didn't get along with them. Exactly. It was
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: drama on TRL.
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: Oh, kids are missing out.
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: What do you have nowadays?
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: All you do is go online and doom scroll. Oh, yeah.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: TikTok.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: So dumb.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: Can't compete. Can't compete.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: Be dumb with us back in the day in MTV.
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: That was real dumb. Exactly.
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: I'm Candace Lopez. Those are your Texas Top Stories. The
- 1:06:19Speaker 2: new Mix 102.9. Dirty Little Secret with Billy the Kid
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: in the Morning on Mix 102.9. Brought to you by
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Mint Dentist.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: You want to confess? Anytime you want, let's do it. 833-787-1029.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: It doesn't matter what it is. It's Billy the Kid,
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: Candace Lopez. Producer Poo is here.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: Confess. Bring it on.
- 1:06:38Speaker 7: Legally, I shouldn't even really be telling you guys this
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: because I technically signed an NDA, but I wanted to
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: tell someone. I've never actually really told anybody outside of
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: just a couple people in my family.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: But fun fact. So I actually work at.
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: A very large stadium called And yeah, I'm not going
- 1:06:58Speaker 7: to tell you which one, but a very certain professional
- 1:07:02Speaker 7: football team happens later.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I like a little mystery. I'm wondering who it could be.
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: Is there a mystery left?
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I don't think there's much of mystery left. Allen Eagles? Yeah. Okay.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: Got it. Okay.
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: So don't say, but it's a very popular football team
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: at a major stadium.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:07:20Speaker 6: So not this season, but last, this extremely wealthy guy
- 1:07:26Speaker 6: passed away.
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: And I didn't know him personally, but he was a huge, huge,
- 1:07:33Speaker 7: huge fan of the team. And I mean, like, huge.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:07:38Speaker 7: And on a Saturday morning, we were told that there
- 1:07:42Speaker 7: was going to be this private event that was happening
- 1:07:43Speaker 7: on the field. And very few employees were actually allowed
- 1:07:47Speaker 7: really anywhere near it. And everybody involved, we all had
- 1:07:51Speaker 7: to sign paperwork that was basically saying that we wouldn't
- 1:07:53Speaker 7: really ever talk about what we saw. So basically it
- 1:07:56Speaker 7: was a funeral.
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: And yes.
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: At the stadium?
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: It was a funeral?
- 1:08:03Speaker 2: On the field?
- 1:08:04Speaker 7: With a literal casket on the field.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: What? You can do that? Yes.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 1:08:13Speaker 7: Well, if you're this wealthy man, yeah.
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: Oh, wow.
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:08:20Speaker 7: I mean, I, they set up everything like literally right
- 1:08:26Speaker 7: onto the star in the middle of the field. And
- 1:08:28Speaker 7: there were maybe, I would say only about 20 people there.
- 1:08:33Speaker 7: Like it was definitely, definitely his closest friends and family.
- 1:08:39Speaker 7: And that was it. And I guess this was something
- 1:08:43Speaker 7: that this guy had always said that when he passed,
- 1:08:45Speaker 7: this was one of his dreams. He wanted to have
- 1:08:48Speaker 7: his funeral on the field of his favorite football team.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: And you know what?
- 1:08:53Speaker 7: When you have enough money, you can make some crazy
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: things happen.
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: I guess.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: So there was an actual casket on the star.
- 1:09:01Speaker 7: I'm blown away right now.
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it happened really early on a Saturday morning.
- 1:09:05Speaker 7: It was maybe 45 minutes to an hour max. And
- 1:09:16Speaker 7: then everybody left. And from what I understand, they had
- 1:09:19Speaker 7: like his actual funeral was afterwards somewhere else. But all
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: of us that were there, we just sort of, we
- 1:09:27Speaker 7: were in awe in a way. Like, did that really
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: just happen?
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: I would be too.
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: I've worked there for years and I have never seen
- 1:09:34Speaker 7: anything like that. It's just crazy because this also wasn't
- 1:09:38Speaker 7: like ages ago.
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: It was very recent.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: It's in the middle of the season too.
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: That's what's wild to me is it's like, unreal I
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: mean I know that there's some private things that happen
- 1:09:47Speaker 4: in this world and I know that you can you
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: know use the field and you can rent it and
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: you can do things.
- 1:09:51Speaker 5: It's basically just a venue does anyone.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: Say that it's a venue only for this or that
- 1:09:56Speaker 2: for a.
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Funeral yeah who does.
- 1:09:58Speaker 5: That I don't know I mean I went to Michael
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: Jackson's funeral at Staples Center oh you did people knew
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: about it though they like sold tickets.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: To it you ate a hot dog there I did.
- 1:10:07Speaker 5: But it was weird knowing I had seen the Lakers
- 1:10:09Speaker 5: play here and seen Justin Bieber perform here And.
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: Then you're watching a funeral. Right. That's strange.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: Yeah, that is crazy. Yeah, it was pretty wild.
- 1:10:19Speaker 7: So I guess your dreams still can come true, whatever
- 1:10:22Speaker 7: wild dreams you have.
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: But I just, I was there.
- 1:10:27Speaker 7: You know, I was there and I got to witness
- 1:10:28Speaker 7: this very rich man have a secret funeral on the
- 1:10:31Speaker 7: middle of a professional football field.
- 1:10:33Speaker 3: It just proves that if you have enough money, you
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: can make anything happen. Yeah, you can do what you want.
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Just do whatever. Yeah. I mean, I want to have
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: it on your caskets on the star.
- 1:10:43Speaker 5: The owner can allow whatever they want to happen in
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: the building they own, right?
- 1:10:47Speaker 4: We need to sage this field. Is this who Dak
- 1:10:50Speaker 4: was thrown into a couple of weeks ago? The ghost
- 1:10:52Speaker 4: in the end zone? No, no, they were in Brazil. Oh,
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: that's right.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Okay. Wow.
- 1:11:02Speaker 4: I mean, there's something there. I think there's, I've witnessed
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: a funeral on that, on that. During games sometimes. I
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: feel like I'm actually sadder than funerals sometimes.
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: If there's some ghosts in the house, they can help
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: with that defense.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: Yeah, that's true. Can they play secondary? Well, listen, that
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: is mind-blowing. I mean, all jokes aside.
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I've never heard of anything like that.
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm trying to think about where I'd want my
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: funeral if I could have it anywhere.
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: I'm trying to think of who it was. Where, Billy, where?
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 1:11:34Speaker 4: I'm trying to think of where I would have my
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: funeral if I could have it anywhere. I mean, I
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: might have it at, I almost said the name of
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: the place. I don't want to say it. I might
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: have it there.
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: Really?
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Yeah, why not? I don't want to do it on
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: the star. I feel like that's disrespectful. Right, yeah, yeah.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I want to come down from the banners, like hang me.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: Oh my gosh.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: I want to come flying in with some pyro. That's
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: getting wild.
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: Like it's a halftime performance?
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Like Monster Jam. You know what I mean? Yeah.
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: Grave digger.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: Remember how Lady Gaga flew into the stadium in the
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Super Bowl?
- 1:12:05Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: Oh, she looked like a spider monkey.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: Yeah, never forget that. That's how I want to come here.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Just my stiff body. Oh, boy. Looking like Mitch McConnell
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: floating up. Oh, my gosh.
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: Oh, man. Well, I don't know. That's something I have
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: to think about. But that is an amazing secret. Thank
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: you so much. I can't wait to talk about this because, well,
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: obviously I won't say your name and all that good stuff.
- 1:12:31Speaker 4: And it definitely didn't happen at AT & T Stadium.
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: No, never. We could be talking about the Frisco Cowboys
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: Little League.
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a star.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Yeah, who knows? Well, thank you so much. And we
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: appreciate your secret.
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: Yeah, well, thanks for letting me share this just totally awesome,
- 1:12:49Speaker 7: interesting experience I had that I have to not let
- 1:12:53Speaker 7: anybody know.
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: So it feels good to share it.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: You witnessed history. That's for sure.
- 1:12:58Speaker 3: Totally. Totally.
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: There you go.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: Dirty little secret. We'll do it again tomorrow morning at 7.30. Now,
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: I know they did, you know, Chris Kyle's public memorial there.
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't realize that.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: The sniper. But that's completely different than just someone with
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: 20 people there.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: Yeah, weird.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: 20 people in just the casket sitting on the star. Right.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: What? Just chilling.
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: Oh, my God. I mean, for enough money, though, why not?
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: Bury me in the end zone. Oh, boy. Fine. I'm fine.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: I'm about to get out of here. It's Mix 102.9.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I'm peeling a kid.
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: Candice Lopez, producer Pooh. I don't know what you got
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: going on today, Candice.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: What are you doing?
- 1:13:31Speaker 2: I think I'm going to the at-home store.
- 1:13:32Speaker 5: Everyone's been sending me the skeletons that they have because
- 1:13:35Speaker 5: Enzo's ready to move into real skeleton Halloween decorations as
- 1:13:39Speaker 5: of last night.
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: I know. It's about time. Candace, you're just, you know what?
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: You shelter that kid from too much. No, I don't.
- 1:13:46Speaker 5: We have Jack Skellington. We have all these pumpkins, bats,
- 1:13:49Speaker 5: like creepy things.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: Yeah, but you're like, well, I don't want the skeleton
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: to be too scary. It should be scary. It's Halloween.
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: Yeah, well, this one's cute.
- 1:13:56Speaker 5: It's got like its hand and its hands like this.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, it's the big one.
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: And it's got light up eyes.
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: Glamour shot pose. Yeah, they got so much good stuff.
- 1:14:02Speaker 2: It's a glamour shot.
- 1:14:03Speaker 3: Yeah, you're going to like it. But what do you
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: got going on today? I got to go by Good Shepherd.
- 1:14:07Speaker 3: That's where my sister is an administrator. Because they're picking
- 1:14:11Speaker 3: me to host, not host, but judge their little art
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: contest they got coming up.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Oh, fun. Oh, that's cool.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: That is cool. I get to be a little judge.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: Oh, good. What's in it for you?
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: Oh, nothing. I always jump when Morgan says something. My
