- 0:00Speaker 1: Okay, still Mark's among show on seven to tenor.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Well, hey, two weeks till Christmas? Two weeks is Christmas Eve?
- 0:17Speaker 2: Two weeks from tonight? I'm not sure. I think Christmas Day,
- 0:23Speaker 2: so yeah, Christmas Eve is a Wednesday. Yeah, so this
- 0:28Speaker 2: is Thursday. It's two weeks from Christmas Day already, and
- 0:32Speaker 2: then three weeks from New Year's Day. Now, the problem
- 0:35Speaker 2: is New Year's Day, you get a new mayor. It's
- 0:39Speaker 2: inauguration Day. You're gonna get a new mayor on January first.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Guess who it is. Yeah, it's Mom Donnie with his
- 0:47Speaker 2: homeless camps everywhere.
- 0:48Speaker 3: Mayor Mom Donnie ensures that we connect those New Yorkers
- 0:52Speaker 3: with actual housing. We have to look at the efficacy
- 0:56Speaker 3: of the Adams Administration's policy on this. It is a
- 0:59Speaker 3: policy that did not connect a single New Yorker to
- 1:03Speaker 3: permanent housing in an entire year. That cannot be a
- 1:07Speaker 3: policy we continue.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Now.
- 1:09Speaker 2: He's very much like a brilliant college professor. He speaks
- 1:12Speaker 2: beautifully and he uses words like efficacy. We have to
- 1:15Speaker 2: look at the efficacy of what we're doing. I don't
- 1:18Speaker 2: know what the hell efficacy is, but we're going to
- 1:20Speaker 2: look at it. And it sounds great and like any
- 1:23Speaker 2: good college professor, sounds brilliant, but in reality cannot execute
- 1:28Speaker 2: a damn thing, can't get anything done, has no experience
- 1:31Speaker 2: actually doing anything, just talks about it. He's looking at
- 1:34Speaker 2: the efficacy and meantime, can't actually do anything, doesn't know anything,
- 1:40Speaker 2: has no practical experience of any kind. The other thing
- 1:43Speaker 2: we find is that when Democrats get on this homeless thing,
- 1:49Speaker 2: they come up with programs to do something about it.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Deblasio had that Thrive NYC to help the homeless. A
- 1:58Speaker 2: billion dollars is poured into it. Not one homeless person
- 2:01Speaker 2: ever got helped, and they can't find the billion dollars.
- 2:04Speaker 2: They still don't know what happened to that billion dollars.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Remember he put his wife in charge of the program.
- 2:10Speaker 2: And of course you can always count on fake news
- 2:13Speaker 2: in the media to never ever ask anything about the
- 2:17Speaker 2: billion dollars and went missing. Can you imagine going to
- 2:21Speaker 2: Channel two, Channel four, Channel five, Channel seven, go to
- 2:24Speaker 2: the New York Times and saying, the mayor set up
- 2:28Speaker 2: a program for a billion dollars and it went missing.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Nobody can find the billion dollars, and all of them
- 2:34Speaker 2: say to you, what's for lunch today. They don't even
- 2:36Speaker 2: care that anyon want to know about it. If Donald
- 2:38Speaker 2: Trump lost a quarter, they'd send a thousand reporters to
- 2:41Speaker 2: go cover this story. They don't want to know a
- 2:44Speaker 2: damn thing about it. Look at Somalia community, Somalian community Minnesota.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Same thing that elon Omar, that wacko Well, actually might
- 2:55Speaker 2: not be as stupid as you think. Because eight billion
- 2:57Speaker 2: went missing. They think it's up to eight billion. It
- 2:59Speaker 2: was first it was a billion, and it was two billion,
- 3:01Speaker 2: other saying up to eight billion might have gone missing.
- 3:04Speaker 2: Same thing. They set up a program supposedly was taking
- 3:07Speaker 2: care of the homeless. Meantime, nobody can find any homeless
- 3:10Speaker 2: that got taken care of. Nobody can find any hint
- 3:13Speaker 2: of the money ever going to where it was supposed
- 3:15Speaker 2: to be. Billions, literally billions missing. New York Times, ABC, NBCCBS,
- 3:24Speaker 2: no interest. They don't even mention it's not a story
- 3:26Speaker 2: eight billion missing. Eh, We've got other things to talk about.
- 3:30Speaker 2: The Trump affordability. So, of course, when you lose eight
- 3:34Speaker 2: billion in tax pair of money, or in Manhattan or
- 3:37Speaker 2: in New York City, when you lose a billion in
- 3:39Speaker 2: tax pair of money, taxes go up, so that's the problem.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So you got Mom Donnie talking about the homeless and
- 3:45Speaker 2: he wants to set up a program to help them. Well,
- 3:48Speaker 2: you're going to see another billion go missing. It's it's
- 3:51Speaker 2: not that these people well I don't know, but it
- 3:54Speaker 2: might not be that they're putting the money in their pocket,
- 3:56Speaker 2: Doublazi or Mom Donnie. But it's contracts to hand down.
- 4:00Speaker 2: It's like that green scheme, the climate change, the reason
- 4:02Speaker 2: they push that so hard. It's billions and billions and
- 4:06Speaker 2: billions in contracts you can hand out. Now, if you're
- 4:09Speaker 2: not so honest, some of the money ends up in
- 4:11Speaker 2: your pocket. But if you're honest. You know, a guy
- 4:14Speaker 2: like Chuck Schumer or something like that, I don't think
- 4:16Speaker 2: he's personally crooked. He's a dirty, sleazy politician, but I
- 4:21Speaker 2: don't think he's you know, personally crooked. But what you
- 4:23Speaker 2: do is you hand out contracts to donors. Billions in contracts.
- 4:29Speaker 2: And every time you hand out one of those contracts
- 4:31Speaker 2: that donor owes you, you can call them every few weeks.
- 4:33Speaker 2: I need fifty thousand, I need one hundred thousand, I
- 4:36Speaker 2: need two hundred and fifty thousand. These guys get these
- 4:38Speaker 2: calls all the time, and when they say they need
- 4:41Speaker 2: the money, it's for the campaign for the senator's pack.
- 4:47Speaker 2: So the billionaire, you know, you can pick up the
- 4:50Speaker 2: phone and these type of politicians. The billionaire can call
- 4:53Speaker 2: this guy. He's got his cell number. You can call
- 4:54Speaker 2: him at midnight. I need a favor, I need to
- 4:57Speaker 2: change of regulation, I need a permit, I need this.
- 5:00Speaker 2: You can call them anytime. It'll get done, just like that.
- 5:04Speaker 2: But they'll have a guy call you every couple of weeks.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Can you do fifty? Can you do one hundred? Yeah,
- 5:09Speaker 2: I can do it all right. We'll call you back,
- 5:11Speaker 2: tell you who to write the check to, and they'll
- 5:12Speaker 2: call you back. Write the check to the super pack
- 5:14Speaker 2: this or this, and you keep writing these checks and
- 5:19Speaker 2: those packs pay for anything the senator needs as far
- 5:22Speaker 2: as campaign expenses or staff or consultants or anything like that, advertising,
- 5:27Speaker 2: whatever they need. So that's the racket, that's the green scheme.
- 5:31Speaker 2: They handed a billions in contracts and ten to twenty
- 5:35Speaker 2: percent of it came back to these politicians. Same thing
- 5:38Speaker 2: with these homeless programs. They'll hand out these contracts and
- 5:42Speaker 2: the money will come back to them in various ways.
- 5:44Speaker 2: The Momdani transition team, for instance, has already raised like
- 5:48Speaker 2: five million bucks a transition team. All they do is
- 5:52Speaker 2: they need a conference room. You know, if you really
- 5:57Speaker 2: your transition team needs a few offices in a conference
- 6:01Speaker 2: They got the big business guys who are don't you know,
- 6:03Speaker 2: charities do that all the time. They call the big
- 6:05Speaker 2: business guy, the CEO. Hey, we need the conference room, Sure,
- 6:09Speaker 2: come over, use it for six hours. We'll lend it
- 6:12Speaker 2: to you. We do that here at iHeart. We got
- 6:14Speaker 2: beautiful conference rooms. If there's a big charity we're trying
- 6:16Speaker 2: to help, you need to use our conference room, Come
- 6:18Speaker 2: use it. We got one that holds like two hundred people.
- 6:21Speaker 2: You can use that one. They do it all every company,
- 6:23Speaker 2: every major corporation does that. It's free. You don't need
- 6:28Speaker 2: to raise four million for your transition team five million.
- 6:31Speaker 2: But mom Donnie just did that in the last couple
- 6:33Speaker 2: of weeks. So this is good news. By the way,
- 6:37Speaker 2: that he turns out to be just as slippery and
- 6:40Speaker 2: greedy and as money making as everybody else, so that it
- 6:44Speaker 2: means the big business guys may be able to keep
- 6:47Speaker 2: him in line in various ways. Hey, the inauguration, as
- 6:51Speaker 2: they say, is New Year's Day. Eric Adams is the
- 6:53Speaker 2: current mayor, obviously, and he's saying now he might not
- 6:56Speaker 2: go to the inauguration. That would be quite a slap
- 6:59Speaker 2: in the face to mom. Donnie. Uh, he didn't say
- 7:03Speaker 2: he wouldn't go. He just said he hasn't decided. Well,
- 7:05Speaker 2: you're supposed to go, obviously, you go. He says he
- 7:07Speaker 2: hasn't decided if he'll go. You know that idiot. Brad
- 7:11Speaker 2: Lander left wing, very left wing. He was the controller.
- 7:16Speaker 2: You can get away with being a controller because nobody
- 7:18Speaker 2: knows what the hell of controller does controller controller controller,
- 7:22Speaker 2: You can say either one controller is perfectly acceptable. And
- 7:28Speaker 2: generally they're guys who have no personality. Remember Scott Stringer,
- 7:32Speaker 2: very nice guy. Scott string he wasn't a kup, just
- 7:34Speaker 2: a nice guy, but cute, a cute guy, but not
- 7:37Speaker 2: a lot of personality. Brad Lander the same way. He's
- 7:40Speaker 2: more he's not so cute. He's more of a silly
- 7:41Speaker 2: guy with no personality. Even in his campaign, it just
- 7:44Speaker 2: sounds like people kept saying, he sounds like mister Rogers.
- 7:48Speaker 5: I love the people who make this city what it is,
- 7:51Speaker 5: So I'm running for Connas because the challenges we face
- 7:56Speaker 5: can't be solved with strongly worded letters or high dollar fundraing.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Well, that's certainly forceful. Hey, I'm running for Congress. You
- 8:04Speaker 2: know why. I'll tell you why. Everybody kept telling him
- 8:08Speaker 2: just sound exactly like mister Rogers, and I guess he
- 8:12Speaker 2: had to answer that.
- 8:13Speaker 6: But a mister Rogers that stands up and fights Ice
- 8:17Speaker 6: and fights Trump and fights Muss and try clubbed to
- 8:21Speaker 6: crops and fights a pad and said this.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Was our neighborhood.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Okay, that's even worse. Hey, But I stand there, I
- 8:29Speaker 2: fight Trump. I find I find sounds terrible.
- 8:33Speaker 6: But a mister Rogers that stands up and fights Ice,
- 8:36Speaker 6: and fights Trump, and fights Muss and try clubbed to
- 8:40Speaker 6: crops and fights a pad and said this.
- 8:43Speaker 7: Was our.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Okay. But on the other hand, you know, Mike Tyson
- 8:51Speaker 2: has got to be the toughest guy ever. Mike Tyson.
- 8:54Speaker 2: You ever hear him on the radio? Hi, I'm Mike Tyson.
- 8:56Speaker 8: Roy.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Can you imagine if you've got to fight with a
- 8:59Speaker 2: guy on the phone and he said, you can't talk
- 9:01Speaker 2: to me like that, and you didn't know it was
- 9:03Speaker 2: Mike Tyson. You just heard this voice. What are you
- 9:05Speaker 2: gonna do about it. I'm coming down, Yeah, you come
- 9:07Speaker 2: down here that it's Mike Tyson. But he's got to
- 9:12Speaker 2: run against Dan Goldman, Who's Now, this is a race
- 9:15Speaker 2: that doesn't matter either way because Lander is a very
- 9:18Speaker 2: far left wing kook, but so is Goldman, so it
- 9:21Speaker 2: doesn't matter who wins that thing. But Lander's going after Goldman.
- 9:24Speaker 9: I mean Democrats choosing not to support the Democratic nominee
- 9:28Speaker 9: for mayor of New York City in a general election. Yeah,
- 9:31Speaker 9: I think that was a failure that showed that we
- 9:34Speaker 9: need something different.
- 9:36Speaker 2: He does sound like it sounds like Charles Nelson Riley
- 9:41Speaker 2: without without the charm. So Goldman going after him.
- 9:44Speaker 10: Now, I welcome Brad to the race. I'm not really
- 9:46Speaker 10: thinking about this right now. I'm in Washington, really focused
- 9:50Speaker 10: on making sure that healthcare can will not be taken
- 9:54Speaker 10: away from millions of people. We are focused on the
- 9:59Speaker 10: immigration ragnet that Donald Trump is sweeping the country with.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Yeah, here's the problem. Goldman is a much better looking
- 10:07Speaker 2: guy than Lander, and he's got a much better voice.
- 10:10Speaker 2: So he looks good, he sounds good. You getting a
- 10:12Speaker 2: debate and Goldman's talking to mile a minute, We're gonna
- 10:15Speaker 2: do this in this, and then we have Lander talks
- 10:17Speaker 2: like this. It's not gonna work out too well.
- 10:19Speaker 5: I love the people who make this city what it is.
- 10:23Speaker 5: So I'm running for Congress.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I'm running for Congress. And then Goldman talks like this.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I think Goldman wins that debate easily. He does sound
- 10:32Speaker 2: like mister Rogers. I don't hear it this again. Let
- 10:36Speaker 2: me no, that's the same one. Uh yeah, it's gonna
- 10:40Speaker 2: be a problem for him. He's not gonna do well,
- 10:43Speaker 2: Brad Lander, but he's gonna be like the next Scott Stringer.
- 10:46Speaker 2: These controllers. That's the problem of that job. You end
- 10:49Speaker 2: up running every four years, every two years for anything
- 10:52Speaker 2: and everything, and it goes nowhere. You always lose every time. Hey,
- 10:58Speaker 2: that Luigi Mangione got caught in Pennsylvania, goes to McDonald's
- 11:05Speaker 2: and they're starting to release all the material. You know,
- 11:07Speaker 2: he's in McDonald's. This is kind of crazy. He's in McDonald's.
- 11:12Speaker 2: You know, a chain, a fast food, big chain like
- 11:14Speaker 2: that McDonald's. You got to figure they got security cameras everywhere,
- 11:18Speaker 2: they probably got video over every inch of the place.
- 11:21Speaker 2: And he's just sitting there eating. He's not wearing sunglasses.
- 11:26Speaker 2: He's not wearing a hat, he's not trying to describe
- 11:28Speaker 2: the disguise himself. So if you listen to the nine
- 11:32Speaker 2: to one one calls from the manager, she says, a
- 11:36Speaker 2: lot of people eating here. Many of our customers think
- 11:38Speaker 2: he looks like the CEO assassin from New York. So
- 11:43Speaker 2: they recognized him even in the middle of nowhere in Pennsylvania.
- 11:47Speaker 2: And if you look at the interviews with these people,
- 11:51Speaker 2: it was the eyebrows. You know, he has these unusually thick, big, bushy,
- 11:54Speaker 2: weird eyebrows. So they said that was the first thing
- 11:59Speaker 2: he said he look like. And then they saw the
- 12:00Speaker 2: same exact eyebrows, which are very unusual, and that's why
- 12:03Speaker 2: they knew it was him. So the guy's not that bright.
- 12:05Speaker 2: First of all, you got those big eyebrows, put on
- 12:07Speaker 2: some sunglasses so people can't see him, or you know,
- 12:12Speaker 2: dye your hair a different color and shave off the eyebrows,
- 12:16Speaker 2: or cut him down, you know, get rid of the
- 12:17Speaker 2: eyebrows and your dye your hair looked at you know,
- 12:20Speaker 2: even David Jensen in The Fugitive New to do that. So,
- 12:25Speaker 2: or you know, wear a hat and sunglasses when you're
- 12:27Speaker 2: going to be sitting in a McDonald's with a lot
- 12:29Speaker 2: of people around, so he got himself caught. But again,
- 12:34Speaker 2: you know, he wasn't I guess the brightest assassin in
- 12:37Speaker 2: the world. You know, it's right across the street from
- 12:40Speaker 2: where we are. Now we can go over that window
- 12:41Speaker 2: and see the spot where he did the shooting. And
- 12:43Speaker 2: it's sixth Avenue and fifty fifth Street, and it's got
- 12:48Speaker 2: surveillance cameras over every inch of it. So when you
- 12:51Speaker 2: do anything there, there's gonna be video of you doing it.
- 12:54Speaker 2: So I don't know how any chance of beating the case.
- 12:58Speaker 2: It's all on video. So, hey, Time Magazine. You remember
- 13:02Speaker 2: Time Magazine? Anybody remember that They still do this thing
- 13:06Speaker 2: called Time Magazine. I don't know who sees it or why,
- 13:08Speaker 2: but they still do the Man of the Year, the
- 13:10Speaker 2: Woman of the Year. Well now you got to call
- 13:12Speaker 2: it the person of the Year, Person of the year.
- 13:14Speaker 2: This year, the architects of AI. And then there's a
- 13:19Speaker 2: picture of eleven guys who you never heard of, you
- 13:22Speaker 2: don't know. Apparently they created AI. So but it's Time Magazine.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Twelve people see it, eleven of whom work there at
- 13:31Speaker 2: Time Magazine. Hey, Rosanna Scatto, Good Day New York. We
- 13:35Speaker 2: love Rosanna Scatto. Her family owns a wonderful restaurant called Fresco.
- 13:40Speaker 2: It's on fifty second Street. It's one of the great
- 13:42Speaker 2: Italian restaurants in New York. It's a lot of famous faces.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I was there yesterday. It's a great restaurant, Fresco, you
- 13:49Speaker 2: know it. It's been there for I think thirty years now, no,
- 13:52Speaker 2: well actually more than I remember going to the thirtieth
- 13:53Speaker 2: anniversary party, and that was a couple of years ago.
- 13:57Speaker 2: So they're in the news today because they had a
- 13:59Speaker 2: woman who I guess this is the accountant, the bookkeeper.
- 14:03Speaker 2: And it looks like this bookkeeper was stealing money. You know,
- 14:06Speaker 2: when you're the bookkeeper for a big thing like that,
- 14:08Speaker 2: you can make you can embezzle, you can. And it
- 14:12Speaker 2: looked like she took some money that was meant for tips.
- 14:15Speaker 2: It looked like she wrote checks to herself. It looks
- 14:18Speaker 2: like she siphoned cash out of thing. Well, how much
- 14:23Speaker 2: did she get? How much could you embezzle? Look at
- 14:25Speaker 2: this two point five million dollars was embezzled. Now this
- 14:30Speaker 2: is over a seven year period, but still that would
- 14:33Speaker 2: be about three hundred and fifty thousand a year that
- 14:36Speaker 2: she was embezzling. Pretty good. Well, they must make a
- 14:39Speaker 2: lot of money at this restaurant if they didn't notice
- 14:41Speaker 2: a two point five million missing. But they caught her. Finally,
- 14:45Speaker 2: she's been turned over to the DA Alvin Bragg will
- 14:48Speaker 2: prosecute her. Looks pretty bad for her. The embezzled funds,
- 14:54Speaker 2: it says, paid for her lifestyle away from work, including
- 14:58Speaker 2: one hundred thousand she used to buy a house Pennsylvania
- 15:00Speaker 2: with her husband. So a prosecutor's got all this. They
- 15:03Speaker 2: caught her. She here's the picture. They don't recognize her.
- 15:07Speaker 2: She didn't look familiar, very heavy. She might have been
- 15:12Speaker 2: rating that refrigerator there too. Some food might be missing.
- 15:14Speaker 2: I would take a look at that, But they got her.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I don't see how she gets out of this. This
- 15:18Speaker 2: is pretty bad. Hey, we'll take some Jimmy Faylor will
- 15:21Speaker 2: be with us in a few minutes. We'll take some calls.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Next eight hundred three to two one zero seven ten
- 15:27Speaker 2: is the number? Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Give WR A bree said on the iHeartRadio app to
- 15:35Speaker 1: hear Mark Simone and all the WR hosts in an
- 15:39Speaker 1: instead go back to the Mark Simo show on wor.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Pam and Patterson, Pam,
- 15:50Speaker 2: how you doing?
- 15:52Speaker 4: Hey?
- 15:53Speaker 7: Just two things I thought they said. The New York
- 15:55Speaker 7: accent is dead earl.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's why I couldn't understand that. Now the
- 16:01Speaker 2: New York New York accent is everywhere. It's it doesn't
- 16:04Speaker 2: go away. You know, you go to Long Island. You
- 16:07Speaker 2: go to Long Island standing in the American and you
- 16:09Speaker 2: see the most beautifully dressed woman, so elegant. You walk
- 16:12Speaker 2: up and say, hey, how are you? And she says,
- 16:15Speaker 2: how are ye? And the accent is right there?
- 16:19Speaker 4: Really, And.
- 16:22Speaker 11: What's Curtis we were up to?
- 16:24Speaker 7: Is he going to be on your show soon?
- 16:25Speaker 10: Oh?
- 16:25Speaker 2: Yeah, we got to have Curtis back. Yeah, we're gonna
- 16:27Speaker 2: have him back, definitely. We'll happen back very very soon.
- 16:31Speaker 2: We love Curtis. I don't know what he's been. You know,
- 16:35Speaker 2: this guy has a schedule of like a ten thousand
- 16:38Speaker 2: events a day, parties, meetings, speeches, all the time. Yeah,
- 16:42Speaker 2: he's we had him on was it a week or
- 16:44Speaker 2: two ago? We'll have him back very very soon. We'll
- 16:46Speaker 2: get Curtis back here. Let's go to Randall in Maryland. Randall,
- 16:50Speaker 2: how you doing good?
- 16:53Speaker 4: Mark?
- 16:54Speaker 11: You made a great point earlier about tying in the
- 16:57Speaker 11: economy on bullshoe killing bush about the time. I remember
- 17:01Speaker 11: back then people run around saying, Oh, it couldn't get
- 17:06Speaker 11: much worse, couldn't get much worse. And I said, really
- 17:09Speaker 11: at that time, which what do.
- 17:12Speaker 2: You want to talk?
- 17:13Speaker 11: Boat?
- 17:14Speaker 2: Where are you right now? I hear all this noise
- 17:15Speaker 2: back there.
- 17:17Speaker 11: Actually I'm in Delaware? But stop ragging?
- 17:23Speaker 2: What are you doing? What are you doing in Delaware?
- 17:25Speaker 2: I sound like the irishman? What are you doing in Delaware?
- 17:27Speaker 4: I believe lad place?
- 17:30Speaker 2: Huh?
- 17:30Speaker 4: What I would?
- 17:32Speaker 11: I would rather be in Maryland. That's where I'm headed.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Well, why are you in Delaware? Okay? You don't want
- 17:38Speaker 2: to say? All right, you don't have to answer. You've
- 17:39Speaker 2: got a little what are you making? A little house call?
- 17:41Speaker 4: There?
- 17:43Speaker 2: I got it, I got it all right, you know,
- 17:46Speaker 2: don't answer you. Thanks for calling. Let's go to uh
- 17:51Speaker 2: Marco in East Hanover, Marco. How you doing good morning?
- 17:55Speaker 4: Mark?
- 17:55Speaker 8: Just quick question, what do you think New York City
- 17:57Speaker 8: is going to look like in a year from now?
- 17:59Speaker 2: It'll look like after the first year at the Blasio.
- 18:01Speaker 2: It's going to be the same as Deblasio, which wasn't good,
- 18:04Speaker 2: but you got through it. You got through eight years
- 18:06Speaker 2: at de Blasio.
- 18:08Speaker 7: Yeah, but we.
- 18:10Speaker 8: All the crime in the seventies under Beam and Koch
- 18:14Speaker 8: and Viacan's I mean right now, in a year from now,
- 18:17Speaker 8: I think New York City, short of a blackout and
- 18:19Speaker 8: a serial killer on the loose, is going to catapult
- 18:21Speaker 8: the right back to nineteen seventy five.
- 18:23Speaker 2: No, it won't. You remember, you got a lot of
- 18:25Speaker 2: the all these top people in the Mamdania misters, we're
- 18:28Speaker 2: all from the Deblasio administration. So they'll do what they
- 18:30Speaker 2: did there. Hey, one thing about these crazy socialists, they
- 18:34Speaker 2: do tend to put in an okay police commissioners. You know,
- 18:36Speaker 2: remember when the Deblasio came in. He did bring in
- 18:39Speaker 2: Bill Bratton. You know he kind of restricted him a little,
- 18:41Speaker 2: but you had a decent police commissioner. And you're gonna
- 18:45Speaker 2: have Jessica Tish here. She'll be there at least the
- 18:47Speaker 2: first year. And if if she leaves, I saw who
- 18:53Speaker 2: his next choice would be. And it's not a bad choice.
- 18:56Speaker 2: It's a I don't forget his name. He's Suffolk County
- 18:59Speaker 2: Police Commissioner. He was with the NYPD for years, so
- 19:02Speaker 2: it'll just be like a Deblasi administration, which wasn't good.
- 19:05Speaker 2: It was bad, but we got through it all right.
- 19:08Speaker 2: Let's go to Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 19:11Speaker 12: Good morning, Mark, Good morning Marra. Mark speaking about this
- 19:16Speaker 12: accounting who built the restaurant for two and a half
- 19:20Speaker 12: million dollars and affordability. Yesterday I was talking to Mara
- 19:26Speaker 12: about a conversation I had about thirty five years ago
- 19:29Speaker 12: with a wise guy that I knew who in his Lady.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Listen, I can't believe you would associate with a known criminal.
- 19:37Speaker 12: Well, anyway, I like you. This guy in his later years,
- 19:42Speaker 12: when he was young, he was the enforcer for one
- 19:45Speaker 12: of the families, and then he went into loan shocking,
- 19:49Speaker 12: and in later years when he was an old man,
- 19:52Speaker 12: he had a bar and a restaurant. So one night
- 19:55Speaker 12: and he was a friend of the family. So one
- 19:57Speaker 12: night I'm in his restaurant having drinks. He was telling
- 20:00Speaker 12: me that even in the fifties there was this difference
- 20:04Speaker 12: in affordability. He was telling me the accountant for one
- 20:09Speaker 12: of the families who had a big legit accounting agency. Now,
- 20:13Speaker 12: you remember what Michael Corleoni said when he left New York.
- 20:17Speaker 12: He said that when he went to Vegas, he said,
- 20:19Speaker 12: in ten years, the Corleone family will be mainly legit.
- 20:24Speaker 2: So they all say that nothing personal say so.
- 20:28Speaker 12: Anyway, this guy was, this exub forser, was telling me
- 20:34Speaker 12: that the accountant who had this big agency, he lived
- 20:40Speaker 12: back in the fifties on certain place. And he told
- 20:44Speaker 12: me back then the rents were three hundred dollars on something.
- 20:48Speaker 12: This is in the fifties. And meanwhile, in the rest
- 20:51Speaker 12: of New York City you could get an apartment sometimes
- 20:54Speaker 12: even with gas and electricity, for fifty dollars. But since
- 20:58Speaker 12: this guy had to keep up the air and the
- 21:01Speaker 12: look of legitimacy, he lived on some place. Now, isn't
- 21:06Speaker 12: that income in equality? That show what it's.
- 21:10Speaker 4: Supposed to be.
- 21:10Speaker 2: That way, you got very expensive neighborhoods, you.
- 21:12Speaker 12: Got very interesting exactly my point, Mark, Well, Vincent, we
- 21:16Speaker 12: got it. That's what I was telling Mara, this idea
- 21:19Speaker 12: of everybody's got a Ford.
- 21:21Speaker 2: No, he's supposed to have a very expensive neighbor's. Vincent,
- 21:23Speaker 2: we gotta go, we gotta gotta do the news, but
- 21:25Speaker 2: great call is always when we come back. Jimmy Fayla
- 21:28Speaker 2: will be with us next on seven to ten wo R.
- 21:32Speaker 1: Now more Marks alone on seventen WR.
- 21:37Speaker 2: Well, you know, the great Jimmy Fayla is now on
- 21:40Speaker 2: w R every weeknight nine to Midnight's an excellent show,
- 21:44Speaker 2: very funny, very interesting, nine to midnight tonight every weeknight. Hey,
- 21:48Speaker 2: make sure you watch his Saturday night show on the
- 21:50Speaker 2: Fox News Channel. Best late night show, funniest monologue in television.
- 21:55Speaker 2: It's Saturday Night's ten o'clock on the Fox News Channel.
- 21:58Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla, How you doing.
- 22:01Speaker 4: I'm doing good. I will have you know. I rode
- 22:04Speaker 4: in the Fox Today and the Long Island Railroad with
- 22:06Speaker 4: two of your biggest fans.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Oh oh, so they were great.
- 22:09Speaker 4: They were Long Island people. I did not get names,
- 22:11Speaker 4: but I did take a picture and they they said,
- 22:15Speaker 4: we just want to say we love you on Saturday night,
- 22:17Speaker 4: and we love that you put your wife and your
- 22:19Speaker 4: kid on TV. But I have to tell you we
- 22:21Speaker 4: always listen to you on Mark Simone. I go, well,
- 22:23Speaker 4: today's Thursday, and you don't look like you have a
- 22:25Speaker 4: radio on you and they died laughing. So their perfect
- 22:30Speaker 4: attendance might have dropped today, but they were, man, were
- 22:33Speaker 4: they all over you? Like, in all honesty, if I
- 22:35Speaker 4: would have met them earlier in the train, they probably
- 22:37Speaker 4: would have bought my ticket. So take a bow, simone,
- 22:40Speaker 4: take a bow.
- 22:41Speaker 2: You're a big star to me. Feel like, what are
- 22:43Speaker 2: you doing riding on the train.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Last night? Was the Hawk the Fox News Christmas party? Yeah,
- 22:49Speaker 4: and I was told I should not be operating heavy
- 22:52Speaker 4: machinery for at least forty eight hours after what we're
- 22:55Speaker 4: on at that open bar.
- 23:02Speaker 2: I've been going to all these Christmas parties. It really
- 23:04Speaker 2: gets to you after a while. You how much can
- 23:05Speaker 2: you eat? How much can you drink? What do you
- 23:07Speaker 2: give people advice on how to get through these Christmas parties?
- 23:11Speaker 4: Well, this is the truth thing you need to do
- 23:13Speaker 4: because everybody's like, you know, etiquette at Christmas parties. Go
- 23:17Speaker 4: and have fun. Don't worry about you know, having a
- 23:19Speaker 4: drink or two, that's not the issue. You just don't
- 23:22Speaker 4: want to be the person that everyone's talking about the
- 23:25Speaker 4: next day. You know, every company Christmas party ends with
- 23:29Speaker 4: people going, hey, did you see so and so last night? Okay,
- 23:33Speaker 4: And if you don't know who so and so is
- 23:35Speaker 4: it was you? Okay, So sing all the Christmas carols
- 23:39Speaker 4: you want. Just don't be the guy with the Rudolph
- 23:41Speaker 4: Antlers on standing on.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Top of the bar, and you'll be fine. Hey, you know,
- 23:46Speaker 2: in three weeks, Mom Donnie gets inaugurated. What the hell
- 23:50Speaker 2: are we going to do?
- 23:52Speaker 4: Oh, that's why the Statue of Liberty is wearing a burke.
- 23:55Speaker 4: I was confused. I'm kidding, confused. What are we gonna do?
- 24:01Speaker 4: This is the truth, man, Okay. My biggest concern as
- 24:04Speaker 4: a New Yorker is always gonna be for the cops
- 24:06Speaker 4: because they're doing the most important job, and I'm concerned
- 24:09Speaker 4: with their morale. In terms of policies, he really can't
- 24:13Speaker 4: do anything. Okay. Yeah, we're gonna see a lot more
- 24:16Speaker 4: tense on sidewalks because he's not gonna sweep the homeless encampments.
- 24:19Speaker 4: So it's gonna be like we're living in colder Portland,
- 24:23Speaker 4: is what. We're gonna chase the New York's name to
- 24:27Speaker 4: Colder Portland for four years. But I think, and that's
- 24:31Speaker 4: why I'm happy Blakeman got in this week too. Is
- 24:34Speaker 4: that puts enough pressure on Hochel that she really can't
- 24:38Speaker 4: sell out to all of the tax things and far
- 24:41Speaker 4: left things he would need her to do to implement
- 24:43Speaker 4: his agenda, which might just save the city. Just those
- 24:47Speaker 4: two being in the race this early have to make
- 24:49Speaker 4: her a little more self conscious about blowing it. So
- 24:52Speaker 4: that's my home. I don't know who's gonna win, but
- 24:54Speaker 4: they might have saved us.
- 24:55Speaker 2: I don't know that phrase. Hochel can't sell out. Yeah,
- 24:58Speaker 2: you underestimate her ability to.
- 24:59Speaker 7: Se I think.
- 25:02Speaker 4: Do you remember do you remember when they were floating
- 25:05Speaker 4: congestion pricing and she goes, hard working New Yorkers deserve
- 25:10Speaker 4: a break. That's why we're charging you an extra nine
- 25:13Speaker 4: dollars instead of an extra fifteen.
- 25:16Speaker 7: Oh no, no, no, that's not a break.
- 25:17Speaker 4: A break would be we're not going to do congestion pricing.
- 25:20Speaker 7: But instead, no, she raised it by nine bucks.
- 25:22Speaker 4: Yeah, she's as big of a scam as there is.
- 25:24Speaker 4: No one deserves to lose an office more, you know,
- 25:28Speaker 4: and that it kills me. So hopefully, you know, the
- 25:31Speaker 4: Republicans get their act together, because if we can't win
- 25:34Speaker 4: now with forty percent of the state you know is
- 25:38Speaker 4: down in Florida right now, putting plastic over a sofa. Okay,
- 25:42Speaker 4: if she's not held to account for that, the Republicans
- 25:45Speaker 4: are never going to win a statewide election.
- 25:47Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 2: Hey, I'm looking at this. I'm just watching this as
- 25:51Speaker 2: on the screen right now. The big self driving cars
- 25:54Speaker 2: in instead of uber drivers, You're gonna have a self
- 25:57Speaker 2: driving uber all this stuff. Uh, you know, I don't
- 26:00Speaker 2: even trust that roomba vacuum cleaner doing it by itself.
- 26:04Speaker 2: So uh, but you used to drive a cab. What
- 26:07Speaker 2: you got to have a driver, don't you?
- 26:10Speaker 4: One hundred percent? Uh? There? And it's it's for things
- 26:14Speaker 4: people forget about other services cab drivers offer. Okay, if
- 26:18Speaker 4: you get in a cab at two in the morning
- 26:20Speaker 4: and go, hey, where can I find a little action
- 26:22Speaker 4: around here? You know, the waimo doesn't know how to
- 26:25Speaker 4: get the AOC's district, but the cab driver does. You know,
- 26:30Speaker 4: you know those wonderful stories. At least once a year
- 26:32Speaker 4: a girl gives birth in a taxi because the driver
- 26:35Speaker 4: happened to be a licensed part surgeon in Syria. But
- 26:38Speaker 4: he can't, you know, work here. That ain't happening in
- 26:41Speaker 4: a weimo.
- 26:42Speaker 7: And as I was telling.
- 26:43Speaker 4: The lovely Carly shimkis on my show last Saturday. They
- 26:47Speaker 4: say the AI is so real, real now that it's
- 26:49Speaker 4: developing human feelings. Do you really want to be a
- 26:52Speaker 4: girl in a waymo that's now in love with you
- 26:54Speaker 4: and then going to let you out. You got to
- 26:56Speaker 4: explain that you're late for the meeting because my car
- 27:00Speaker 4: was putting the moves on me.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Come on, man, hey, Trump arrangement syndrome. It just gets
- 27:06Speaker 2: worse and worse and worse. Like Rosie O'Donnell, what the
- 27:09Speaker 2: hell is she doesn't shut up? If she hates him
- 27:12Speaker 2: so much, why does she keep talking about him?
- 27:14Speaker 4: It's killing me. So she does this interview with Jim Acosta,
- 27:18Speaker 4: and the hardest part of the interview is figuring out
- 27:20Speaker 4: which one's Rosy and which one's Acosta. They have the
- 27:25Speaker 4: same glances on and they're sitting there, you know, hooting
- 27:29Speaker 4: and hollering about Trump. If the point of moving to
- 27:32Speaker 4: Ireland was to get away from him, you should be
- 27:34Speaker 4: done talking about it. But obviously we all knew that
- 27:37Speaker 4: was a stunt. But here's a pro tip for everybody listening.
- 27:41Speaker 4: If you are able to move out of the country
- 27:45Speaker 4: depending on who wins the election, you're doing fine in life.
- 27:49Speaker 4: Most people listening right now. Don't have the luxury to
- 27:52Speaker 4: just pick up and switch country. You got money to
- 27:55Speaker 4: do that, you know what I'm saying.
- 27:57Speaker 7: So at least she held on.
- 27:58Speaker 4: To some of the royalties. She didn't give them all
- 28:00Speaker 4: to her Xanax dealer.
- 28:03Speaker 2: Hey, Jimmy Faylis on WR every weeknight. Now, it's an
- 28:07Speaker 2: excellent show nine to midnight. What do you got on
- 28:10Speaker 2: tonight show?
- 28:11Speaker 4: Well, we got Kennedy coming by, which is going to
- 28:14Speaker 4: be great. And I believe you're gonna hear a cameo
- 28:16Speaker 4: from my wife, Jenny Fylah. It is her birthday today,
- 28:20Speaker 4: and you know, booking her on TV and radio is
- 28:22Speaker 4: way cheaper than buying her a gift mark. Come on, man,
- 28:24Speaker 4: let's go.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Well, she seems she seems great, But why do you
- 28:28Speaker 2: keep having your wife? Wouldn't be great, isn't it. Don't
- 28:30Speaker 2: you want to get away from the wife. I've never
- 28:32Speaker 2: seen such a happy.
- 28:33Speaker 4: Marriage the way the way my life works with radio
- 28:37Speaker 4: five nights a week on O R and all the
- 28:39Speaker 4: TV they make me do it Fox and then I
- 28:40Speaker 4: go on the weekend. I won't usually doing stand up
- 28:42Speaker 4: at a theater somewhere. The actually is the only time
- 28:45Speaker 4: I see her is if I book her on TV.
- 28:47Speaker 2: So it works out for me, you know, and it
- 28:50Speaker 2: does a great show every Saturday night on the Fox
- 28:52Speaker 2: News channel ten to eleven. It's act the best monologue
- 28:57Speaker 2: that is the best monologue in TV. How long does
- 28:58Speaker 2: it take you to You don't write that all on
- 29:00Speaker 2: one day.
- 29:01Speaker 11: Do you?
- 29:02Speaker 4: I do. I write it all myself, but I spend
- 29:03Speaker 4: the whole week putting it together, meaning, you know, figuring
- 29:06Speaker 4: out which stories rise to the level of everyone in
- 29:09Speaker 4: the country will know them. And once I've figured out
- 29:12Speaker 4: which stories kind of have the altitude, you just sit
- 29:14Speaker 4: down and piece it together. It's your own little narrative.
- 29:17Speaker 4: And it is the most fun I'll ever have in
- 29:20Speaker 4: show business doing that because it's just you. There's nobody
- 29:23Speaker 4: there to save you. There's no panelists to get out
- 29:25Speaker 4: of trouble. And again, if you're a live TV a
- 29:27Speaker 4: lot of these nights, if a joke don't work, you
- 29:29Speaker 4: gotta save it, you know, And it's one thing to
- 29:31Speaker 4: save it in a comedy club when you're just talking
- 29:33Speaker 4: to like, you know, one hundred screaming drunks and a
- 29:36Speaker 4: basslare red party drinking out of you know, Genitalia straws.
- 29:39Speaker 4: But it's another thing when there's a couple million people
- 29:42Speaker 4: watching and you're on the biggest channel in the world.
- 29:44Speaker 4: I love it. It's a very very high wire thing
- 29:46Speaker 4: to do, so I'm glad you appreciate it. Man.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the best monologue in television. He writes it himself.
- 29:52Speaker 2: Stephen Colbert does a week week monologue. And I look,
- 29:55Speaker 2: he's got fourteen writers. What the hell do these fourteen
- 29:57Speaker 2: guys do?
- 29:59Speaker 4: Yeah? That that is the second biggest scam behind those
- 30:03Speaker 4: Somalians who got the billion. I actually think I held
- 30:07Speaker 4: the Somalians in higher regards than Colbert writers, because that's
- 30:10Speaker 4: technically a bigger rip off.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Oh that's a good point. So you gotta listen to
- 30:15Speaker 2: them every night, nine to midnight. And now your wife's birthday,
- 30:19Speaker 2: what do you do for her? We're you gonna get
- 30:20Speaker 2: her something. You're gonna take her out.
- 30:22Speaker 4: You know what, she is going out. We're gonna go
- 30:24Speaker 4: out to dinner on Long Island. She wanted to see
- 30:26Speaker 4: a play, so I got tickets to see the Michael
- 30:28Speaker 4: Jackson play. Apparently, this Michael Jackson is so realistic people
- 30:33Speaker 4: keep their kids away from him. I can't stop it.
- 30:35Speaker 4: Then we'll go eat some We'll go eat some Italian
- 30:38Speaker 4: food on Long Island.
- 30:39Speaker 2: It's gonna be great, very good. All right, it sounds
- 30:41Speaker 2: like a great way to celebrate. And tonight nine to midnight.
- 30:45Speaker 2: You having fun doing the radio show, right.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Oh, it's so great. I love OAR because it's my people,
- 30:51Speaker 4: you know what I mean. So it doesn't even feel
- 30:53Speaker 4: like a radio show. It just feels like you're talking
- 30:56Speaker 4: too much at your aunt's house. It's great, so great because.
- 31:00Speaker 7: It's our people, you know, New York.
- 31:01Speaker 4: We live in our own energy, you know, and there's
- 31:04Speaker 4: so many great people in the city in Staten Island.
- 31:06Speaker 4: And I love like, on the rare occasion that I'm
- 31:09Speaker 4: on the railroad, I will always meet an o R
- 31:12Speaker 4: listener that has something to say.
- 31:14Speaker 2: About you and me, and it's my favorite figure.
- 31:16Speaker 4: We're like a road do We're gonna have to start
- 31:17Speaker 4: playing Atlantic city scene. I'm like a Martin Lewis or
- 31:19Speaker 4: something like that.
- 31:20Speaker 2: Definitely anytime. Well, if you haven't listened, Jimmy fayl is
- 31:23Speaker 2: on nine to midnight tonight every weeknight, nine to midnight.
- 31:27Speaker 2: It's an excellent show. It's very funny. You love it
- 31:29Speaker 2: nine to midnight, and make sure you're watch him on TV.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Best late night show on TV. He's on Saturday nights
- 31:34Speaker 2: at ten o'clock on the Fox News Channel. Of course,
- 31:37Speaker 2: follow him on Twitter and Instagram and all that stuff.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayla, thanks for being with us.
- 31:43Speaker 4: You're the man mark Off. Everybody.
- 31:45Speaker 2: Take care. Yeah, excellent show nine to midnight. Don't miss it.
- 31:49Speaker 2: It's tonight on seven to ten.
- 31:52Speaker 1: Wo R plugged into Everything New York on the VOISU
- 31:57Speaker 1: New York.
- 31:57Speaker 3: March Simone on sevent ten.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Who you are? Hey, look at this AOC the socialist
- 32:05Speaker 2: Look at her in Puerto Rico. Fifty thousand dollars spent
- 32:08Speaker 2: on very luxurious hotels and meals. Spent fifty thousand in
- 32:14Speaker 2: Puerto Rico. No affordability crisis for AOC. Of course, that's
- 32:19Speaker 2: your money, that's taxpayer money, donations, donor money. Hey, we're
- 32:23Speaker 2: out of time. I'll be back tomorrow ten to noon,
- 32:26Speaker 2: every weekday ten to noon or remember, you can listen
- 32:29Speaker 2: to the show anytime you want, day or night. Just
- 32:31Speaker 2: get the podcast any place you get podcasts. So I'll
- 32:35Speaker 2: be back tomorrow ten. Talk to you then right here
- 32:38Speaker 2: on seven to ten wo
