Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven?
- 0:07Speaker 2: Or how did you get to beat Monday? Already? We
- 0:12Speaker 2: got a lot to get to. We'll get to the
- 0:14Speaker 2: New York Jets. Should they be allowed to even continue
- 0:16Speaker 2: the season? Maybe they should just fourth in the whole season.
- 0:19Speaker 2: We'll get to President Trump. We'll get to the Mideast.
- 0:22Speaker 2: We'll get to George Santos, We'll get to we'll get
- 0:26Speaker 2: to the Merrill Race in a moment in great detail,
- 0:29Speaker 2: Cuomo sliwa, Mom, Donnie. We'll get to the shutdown. We'll
- 0:33Speaker 2: get to James Komi. We'll get to that. What was
- 0:35Speaker 2: that thing called the No Kings March? The No Kings March?
- 0:41Speaker 2: Did you see it? Look like Halloween at the Senior Center?
- 0:46Speaker 2: They said, well, the good thing is there was no violence,
- 0:49Speaker 2: no kidding. Everybody was over sixty five. It was people
- 0:52Speaker 2: in their seventies eighties. How much violence did you expect
- 0:55Speaker 2: from them? Anyway, we'll get to that coming up. Now.
- 0:59Speaker 2: You may have noticed President Trump. This is the first
- 1:02Speaker 2: time so far that he's gone to mar A Lago.
- 1:05Speaker 2: You know, mar Alago closes in the spring, closes for
- 1:09Speaker 2: the summer because it's unbearably hot all summer down there.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You might want to bear that in mind if you're
- 1:15Speaker 2: thinking of moving there. So it's about to reopen, and
- 1:19Speaker 2: President Trump went down there for the first time first
- 1:21Speaker 2: weekend at Mar A Lago in many, many, many many months. Now.
- 1:25Speaker 2: You may have noticed when he got off Air Force
- 1:28Speaker 2: One in Florida, he used the little baby stairs, not
- 1:31Speaker 2: the big grand stairs he come down, but the little
- 1:35Speaker 2: baby stairs that Biden used. Now, in the case of Biden,
- 1:38Speaker 2: he was unable to walk down the stairs without falling
- 1:40Speaker 2: and tripping and looking ridiculous, so they switched him to
- 1:43Speaker 2: the baby stairs. Now, the reason Trump has switched in Florida,
- 1:49Speaker 2: it's only in Florida, is was a huge security threat.
- 1:54Speaker 2: They found what they think might have been another assassination attempt.
- 1:58Speaker 2: What's called a hunting stand, which is a platform that's
- 2:02Speaker 2: put up in a tree. They found one right near
- 2:06Speaker 2: the Palm Beach Airport where Trump lands. And that stand,
- 2:10Speaker 2: if you were a hunter were to sit up there
- 2:12Speaker 2: in that stand or lie up there in that stand,
- 2:15Speaker 2: would have a line of sight to the President coming
- 2:18Speaker 2: down the stairs of Air Force one. It's a line
- 2:21Speaker 2: of site right to where Air Force one lands. So
- 2:24Speaker 2: luckily no one was there, but they found that and
- 2:27Speaker 2: as a precaution, they had Trump come down the little
- 2:30Speaker 2: baby stairs, which is on the other side, and it's
- 2:34Speaker 2: much safer now. When he came back to Washington. Of
- 2:36Speaker 2: course in DC it's an Air Force base, they used
- 2:40Speaker 2: the big, big stairs. But interesting that there was another
- 2:43Speaker 2: assassination plot foiled there against President Trump. So the mayoral race,
- 2:49Speaker 2: a lot is going on. It's interesting, Cuomo. No one
- 2:54Speaker 2: knows if he's actually in this campaign. He has still
- 2:57Speaker 2: not opened the campaign headquarters. Fifteen days left and he
- 3:01Speaker 2: hasn't opened a campaign headquarters yet, and he's not been campaigning.
- 3:05Speaker 2: He's done nothing for the last ten days. He basically
- 3:08Speaker 2: left the race. No campaigning. He is doing a lot
- 3:11Speaker 2: of TV interviews. He was on MSNBC this morning, even
- 3:14Speaker 2: went on Fox this morning with Bill Hemmer. So he
- 3:18Speaker 2: is doing interviews, but he's not actively campaigning. I don't
- 3:21Speaker 2: know why in a race where you're behind, I don't
- 3:26Speaker 2: know why you wouldn't be out there campaigning like crazy.
- 3:29Speaker 2: But he's not. He's just not running a campaign. No
- 3:31Speaker 2: campaign headquarters, no campaign stops, no rallies, no no anything.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Just these TV interviews which you're pretty easy, you know.
- 3:38Speaker 2: You do these TV interviews, it's five minutes, it's ten minutes,
- 3:42Speaker 2: and that's it. So he does a couple of those
- 3:43Speaker 2: nothing else. And you got to remember a lot of
- 3:47Speaker 2: those TV interviews. If you're on Fox or you're on MSNBC,
- 3:51Speaker 2: about ninety eight percent of the people watching aren't in
- 3:54Speaker 2: New York City, so they can't actually vote for you.
- 3:56Speaker 2: So I don't know what he thinks he's doing with
- 3:59Speaker 2: these TV interviews. The vast majority of the viewers can't
- 4:03Speaker 2: vote for him. So there's a poll that came out.
- 4:06Speaker 2: You might have read it, and it's in the New
- 4:07Speaker 2: York Post that says, you know, Cuomo was within striking distance.
- 4:12Speaker 2: Now if Curtis were out of the race, if your
- 4:14Speaker 2: poll just Mom, Donnie and Cuomo, Cuomo's got a shot,
- 4:18Speaker 2: He's almost caught up. Well, don't take that poll too seriously.
- 4:21Speaker 2: It's not a real poll. It's one of these cheap,
- 4:24Speaker 2: flimsy public polls. It's very few people in the poll,
- 4:27Speaker 2: and it was done before the debates, and it used
- 4:30Speaker 2: the wrong model. It uses the twenty twenty one model
- 4:35Speaker 2: where Eric Adams went because in that model, only eighteen
- 4:37Speaker 2: percent turned out to vote. It's not a good model
- 4:40Speaker 2: to use, so it's got a lot of flaws in
- 4:42Speaker 2: that poll. Now, Cuomo, in these TV appearances today has
- 4:46Speaker 2: basically been attacking Curtis like crazy. For the last two days,
- 4:52Speaker 2: he's been attacking Curtis. He's not so much going after
- 4:55Speaker 2: mom Donn. He's going after Curtis like crazy.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Curtisly cannot win in the race. I believe he's there
- 5:01Speaker 3: as a spoiler because the Republican party bosses want to
- 5:06Speaker 3: sez or On Mondomie win for their own political purposes.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't really call him a spoiler because he
- 5:12Speaker 2: is a major party nominee. There was a Democratic primary.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Cuomo ran in that Democrats totally rejected him. He was
- 5:19Speaker 2: wiped out by a lot of votes. Had nothing to
- 5:22Speaker 2: do with the RNG choice, just in straight popular vote.
- 5:25Speaker 2: He really got wiped out. Cuomo lost the Democratic nomination,
- 5:28Speaker 2: Curtis got the Republican nomination. So those are your two
- 5:32Speaker 2: major party candidates. Curtis the Republican candidate, Mamdani the Democratic candidate.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Those are the two major party candidates. Cuomo shows up
- 5:41Speaker 2: on some third party, the independent party, whatever that is.
- 5:45Speaker 2: It's a third party so he would technically literally be
- 5:48Speaker 2: the spoiler. He's the third party candidate, not a major
- 5:51Speaker 2: party candidate. He's been attacking Curtis Atlee and the other thing.
- 5:54Speaker 2: He could call him a shock jock. He's been doing
- 5:57Speaker 2: that for a couple of days now. He's a show
- 6:00Speaker 2: juck on local radio. Many of you probably listened to
- 6:04Speaker 2: Curtis for years. He was the number one morning show
- 6:08Speaker 2: in New York for like twenty years. He's done a lot.
- 6:12Speaker 2: I don't think anybody in their right mind would ever
- 6:14Speaker 2: call him a shock jock. He's a guy who all
- 6:18Speaker 2: of his radio career is talking about news and politics.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Not a shock jock by any stretching the imagination. So
- 6:24Speaker 2: it's a compliment to Curtis that Cuomo in attack and
- 6:27Speaker 2: has to make up all this stuff spoiler now he's
- 6:30Speaker 2: actually a major party candidate. Shock jock never happened. So
- 6:35Speaker 2: if Cuomo's got a resort to that kind of lying,
- 6:38Speaker 2: it's a good sign for Curtis. Now, crime is a
- 6:43Speaker 2: big issue. Nobody better on that than Curtis. But Cuomo
- 6:46Speaker 2: now saying he would ask Jessica Tish to stay. He's
- 6:49Speaker 2: now come out and said that Curtis has said absolutely
- 6:52Speaker 2: he would. Mom Donnie said he's actively considering it, which
- 6:56Speaker 2: means you'll get rid of her in a second. Mom
- 6:59Speaker 2: Donnie's got a problem now because he was caught posing
- 7:02Speaker 2: with one of the ninety three World Trade Center attack guys,
- 7:09Speaker 2: his imam pal, who, by the way, has a history
- 7:12Speaker 2: of the most awful, disgusting, homophobic anti gay comments, calling
- 7:16Speaker 2: for violence against gays, calling for all courts of the
- 7:20Speaker 2: horrible things happen to anybody that's gay. This is who
- 7:22Speaker 2: Mam Donnie is posing with. Now. One thing in that poll,
- 7:28Speaker 2: that flimsy little pole that came out, it still shows
- 7:31Speaker 2: Cuomo losing to Mam Donnie, even if Curtis is out
- 7:34Speaker 2: of the race, but it does show we're hoping for
- 7:38Speaker 2: more turnout. This this is a turnout race with the
- 7:40Speaker 2: Deblasio he got in because you only got eighteen percent turnout.
- 7:45Speaker 2: In the good old days, where Guliani would get in,
- 7:47Speaker 2: you got eighty one percent turnout, So that's what we're
- 7:51Speaker 2: looking for, a huge turnout. This pole does show that
- 7:54Speaker 2: the undecided vote is mostly over fifty older people. Now
- 7:59Speaker 2: those are would probably not go for Mam Donnie, so
- 8:01Speaker 2: there's a huge undecided vote. Out there. So if there's
- 8:05Speaker 2: huge turnout, Curtis has a chance. I don't know Cuomo.
- 8:08Speaker 2: I could say he has a chance, but the problem
- 8:10Speaker 2: is every time you put Cuomo in a race against
- 8:13Speaker 2: Mam Donni, he loses two debates. He lost badly the
- 8:17Speaker 2: popular vote and the Democratic primary lost that badly. The
- 8:21Speaker 2: other thing. Cuomo was attacking Curtis, but it's a perpetual candidate.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I actually just ran once before. I think Clomo's run
- 8:28Speaker 2: seventeen times, and a couple of times it went badly
- 8:32Speaker 2: and he dropped out of the race. But Cuomo then
- 8:36Speaker 2: attacking the President Trump and again these attacks. He was
- 8:41Speaker 2: going after President Trump for indicting Komi, indicting Bolton, and
- 8:46Speaker 2: he said, prosecuting our enemies, that's what Putin does. That's
- 8:50Speaker 2: not what we do. That's Putin. We don't prosecute our enemies.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Where was he last year Trump was indicted in for city,
- 9:00Speaker 2: four indictments, four different cities at the same time. Where
- 9:03Speaker 2: was he when they put the Bannon in jailer, Peter
- 9:05Speaker 2: Navarro in jail? Or did that ridiculous Normandy invasion up
- 9:09Speaker 2: the lawn of Roger Stone's house to arrest and all
- 9:12Speaker 2: we did was prosecute political enemies for four solid years,
- 9:16Speaker 2: a thousand times more than what's going on now. Hey,
- 9:19Speaker 2: that no King's rally yesterday. You know how if the
- 9:23Speaker 2: president says something, NBC, all the networks they reported as
- 9:29Speaker 2: the President claimed without evidence. The president claimed, he claimed
- 9:33Speaker 2: without evidence. They keep using that phrase. So you'll watch
- 9:36Speaker 2: these same exact anchors, same exact networks tell you seven
- 9:39Speaker 2: million people marched in the parade yesterday, according to organizers.
- 9:45Speaker 2: According to the organizer, who that would trust them, they're
- 9:49Speaker 2: not objective. You're supposed to go to the police or
- 9:52Speaker 2: somebody like that. The police department get a crowd estimate,
- 9:55Speaker 2: according to organizers, seven million. I didn't hear once. I
- 9:58Speaker 2: didn't hear any of them say. Organizers claimed without evidence
- 10:01Speaker 2: that there there was not seven million in these parades.
- 10:05Speaker 2: There were police and officials actually estimate about a million people,
- 10:09Speaker 2: which means ninety nine point nine percent of America didn't
- 10:13Speaker 2: show up for this thing. So they call it no kings.
- 10:16Speaker 2: They don't be fooled by the name. Obviously there's no
- 10:20Speaker 2: we don't have a king. First of all, they proved
- 10:22Speaker 2: that they one good thing about these rallies, It proved
- 10:25Speaker 2: we have no king, that Trump's not a king. If
- 10:27Speaker 2: there was a king, you wouldn't have been able to
- 10:29Speaker 2: have the rally. You wouldn't been able to disrupt major
- 10:31Speaker 2: cities all over America. You wouldn't have been able to
- 10:33Speaker 2: shut down huge cities, downtown towns. You wouldn't be able
- 10:37Speaker 2: to shut them down just like that and protest all
- 10:40Speaker 2: day if there was a king. So they proved, I
- 10:42Speaker 2: guess we could thank you for that. They proved absolutely
- 10:45Speaker 2: that there is no king. But again, they were all
- 10:49Speaker 2: in costumes and everything, and it looked like Halloween at
- 10:51Speaker 2: the Senior Center. Now, every one of the cities where
- 10:55Speaker 2: there was big turnout, Philadelphia, DC, Chicago, New York, Boston
- 11:00Speaker 2: all had one thing in common. Huge crime problems, bad
- 11:04Speaker 2: bad bad neighborhoods, ghettos. Though they were no marching against that,
- 11:09Speaker 2: no protesting of that. They're just protesting Trump. They want
- 11:13Speaker 2: to preserve everything in their cities, the chaos, the robberies,
- 11:16Speaker 2: the homeless. They're fighting to preserve that. Now, how do
- 11:21Speaker 2: you know there wasn't as big a turnout as they claim, Well,
- 11:24Speaker 2: because they got caught on TV using fake video showing
- 11:29Speaker 2: enormous crowd enormous crowds. But it turned out that video
- 11:33Speaker 2: was from twenty seventeen. It wasn't the right video. A
- 11:38Speaker 2: CNN look at this. CNN reported seeing a lot of
- 11:41Speaker 2: Mexican flags at the parade in La Okay. There were
- 11:45Speaker 2: a lot of celebrities there. John Cusack had a message
- 11:49Speaker 2: for Trump and his masked goons on behalf of his
- 11:53Speaker 2: hometown of Chicago. Go to hell, you masked goons. That's
- 11:56Speaker 2: the way they talked to a law enforcement A bunch
- 11:58Speaker 2: of masked goons. President Trump some great memes. There's one
- 12:04Speaker 2: he had a million memes with him as a king
- 12:06Speaker 2: and a robe and a crown and all that. The
- 12:09Speaker 2: most amazing one was where he's air dropping a feces
- 12:13Speaker 2: all over the protest. It's a nineteen second clip. They're
- 12:16Speaker 2: pretty amazing. He's got a couple of people now that
- 12:19Speaker 2: do this AI stuff for him and pretty amazing stuff.
- 12:23Speaker 2: So the no kings are out listen. It's first of all,
- 12:26Speaker 2: it has nothing to do with kings. They don't think
- 12:28Speaker 2: he's a king. This is the bottom line on all this.
- 12:31Speaker 2: It's not it. They don't think he's a king. They don't.
- 12:35Speaker 2: They've just run out of names. To call him. They
- 12:37Speaker 2: called him Hitler, a fascist. They call him every name
- 12:39Speaker 2: in the world. They've just run out of name, so
- 12:41Speaker 2: that's just no Kings. But what it really was, it's
- 12:44Speaker 2: just a Trump derangement syndrome. March. It's just a hate
- 12:47Speaker 2: Trump parade, that's all it is. It's a Trump derangement
- 12:51Speaker 2: syndrome March. It's a hate Trump parade, that's all it is.
- 12:56Speaker 2: It's just a way of the hate Trump. And if
- 12:58Speaker 2: you look at him, they might say, well, why they're
- 13:01Speaker 2: so old, these people, it's all senior citizens. Mostly. It
- 13:06Speaker 2: happens with senior citizens a lot. They have nothing to
- 13:08Speaker 2: do all day. They're not working anymore. They got too
- 13:11Speaker 2: much free time. Now, some might become obsessed with sports
- 13:15Speaker 2: and watching baseball and sports day in it, but many
- 13:17Speaker 2: of them they got nothing to do, so they become
- 13:19Speaker 2: obsessed with politics and they pick a side and they
- 13:22Speaker 2: sit there. And if you're on the left and you're
- 13:24Speaker 2: watching MSNBC all day or CNN, you're watching a hell
- 13:27Speaker 2: of a lot of fake news. You're getting all fired up,
- 13:29Speaker 2: and they've got nothing else to do. And if you
- 13:32Speaker 2: hang out with people in their thirties or forties, they
- 13:35Speaker 2: never discussed politics. Ever, they're talking about what club they
- 13:38Speaker 2: went to, what restaurant, who they're going out with. They've
- 13:40Speaker 2: got all sorts of stuff to tell, the problems at work,
- 13:42Speaker 2: They talk about everything. If you're hanging out with people
- 13:45Speaker 2: in their sixties, seventies, eighties, they're talking about politics because
- 13:48Speaker 2: they're not leading active lives. They don't have a lot
- 13:50Speaker 2: to talk about. So they become obsessed with this and
- 13:54Speaker 2: they've all decided they're now political experts, and they just
- 13:58Speaker 2: get obsessed with it. And that's why you see a
- 13:59Speaker 2: lot of these older people out there marching like crazy. Hey,
- 14:04Speaker 2: speaking of Merrill Race, I should have pointed this out.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Next debate, final debate is Wednesday night. It's Wednesday night.
- 14:12Speaker 2: It'll be on New York One, which nobody sees, but
- 14:14Speaker 2: hopefully it'll be all over online YouTube all of that
- 14:18Speaker 2: and get seen. Cuomo did badly in the first debate, Mamdannie.
- 14:24Speaker 2: He's a good debater, but he was trying to be
- 14:26Speaker 2: very neutral on things, trying to be very word salady,
- 14:29Speaker 2: deliberately not to take any extreme positions. Curtis, everybody believes
- 14:33Speaker 2: won the debate, but nobody knows if anybody noticed that
- 14:37Speaker 2: he won the debate, So that's the problem. But the
- 14:40Speaker 2: final debate, second debate is this Wednesday, and then early
- 14:43Speaker 2: voting starts on Saturday. Election begins on Saturday. Hey, by
- 14:48Speaker 2: the way, some people say, well, I look at those
- 14:50Speaker 2: betting markets, you know, the poly markets I check that.
- 14:53Speaker 2: Don't ever take those seriously. They change constantly. It might show,
- 14:58Speaker 2: you know, Curtis wednds by fifty points. The next week,
- 15:01Speaker 2: it'll show Curtis loses by twelve points. Next week it'll
- 15:04Speaker 2: show Curtis wins by thirty. They just go up and down.
- 15:07Speaker 2: And remember, the only people betting are amateurs. It's just
- 15:09Speaker 2: a bunch of amateur opinions. And the problem is those
- 15:13Speaker 2: betting markets have a very bad track record. They're not
- 15:16Speaker 2: very accurate. They've been wrong many, many, many times. You
- 15:19Speaker 2: cant list thousands of times selections they just got wrong.
- 15:22Speaker 2: The other problem is that's about money. People bet money,
- 15:26Speaker 2: so whoever's got the most money totally changes the bet.
- 15:31Speaker 2: So they've found when they've researched these the polling market,
- 15:34Speaker 2: for instance, four accounts basically control the whole thing. Four
- 15:38Speaker 2: major accounts by a French trader who has tons of
- 15:41Speaker 2: money in there. So he can change the numbers and
- 15:43Speaker 2: the odds just like that, so it's not an accurate
- 15:46Speaker 2: reflection of anything. And each of those betting markets, there's
- 15:49Speaker 2: a couple of guys who are the major, major players
- 15:51Speaker 2: with massive amounts of money. They change the odds up
- 15:54Speaker 2: and down, so it doesn't reflect the public in any way. Hey,
- 15:59Speaker 2: we'll take some calls in a minut eight hundred three
- 16:01Speaker 2: two one zero seven ten is the number? Eight hundred
- 16:05Speaker 2: three two one zero seven ten set up said on
- 16:08Speaker 2: the iHeartRadio app to do wo R to hear Mark live.
- 16:12Speaker 2: Set another for Mark's podcast to hear him anytime.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Now back to Mark zimone on wo R.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Eight hundred three two one
- 16:24Speaker 2: zero seven tens number. Let's go to Mara in Nevada. Mara,
- 16:28Speaker 2: how you doing so good?
- 16:30Speaker 4: I'm talking to you chow Vincent Mark, I made warn
- 16:34Speaker 4: of Wolf, a member of the Marx Goldenovis. He said
- 16:38Speaker 4: it was eighty eight. So now, and this is why
- 16:41Speaker 4: I called. Did you watch Boston Blue?
- 16:45Speaker 2: Yes?
- 16:46Speaker 4: What did you think? Copycat? It was? It was so Turkey.
- 16:52Speaker 2: It's good. It's no, it's no blue Bloods. It's not
- 16:55Speaker 2: even close.
- 16:56Speaker 4: It's not come on. So now they have said to
- 17:00Speaker 4: day dinnis so because they jewsed No. Well, I like
- 17:03Speaker 4: Danny Warhlburg. I will watch it none other time. But
- 17:07Speaker 4: I'm gonna watch the reruns of Bonnie Miller. Another very
- 17:11Speaker 4: good cop show.
- 17:12Speaker 2: All right, thanks for calling. Yeah, blue Blood's is gone
- 17:16Speaker 2: an institution. A great show, Boston Blue This one Danny
- 17:19Speaker 2: Reagan Wahlberg. He goes to Boston. Something happened his son.
- 17:23Speaker 2: It turns out the plot is his son has become
- 17:26Speaker 2: a Boston police officer. He gets injured, so Danny Reagan
- 17:31Speaker 2: goes up there to help, and he becomes very close
- 17:33Speaker 2: to the Boston Police department. I guess this is the
- 17:36Speaker 2: plot that he'll eventually join the Boston Police Department. It's okay,
- 17:40Speaker 2: it's not It's not Blue Bloods. It's not even close.
- 17:46Speaker 2: But what are you gonna do? The reruns around all
- 17:49Speaker 2: the time, Blue Blood's reruns, so you can just watch those.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Let's go to Bill in Brooklyn. Bill, How you doing good?
- 17:55Speaker 4: Mark?
- 17:56Speaker 2: How you doing good? I'd just like to say I've
- 17:59Speaker 2: been a lot of people. Stay away from these polls.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Don't listen to them. They are there to deceive and well,
- 18:06Speaker 2: it's not. It's not so much that it's they're cheap.
- 18:09Speaker 2: They're cheap, cheap, cheap, flimsy polls. A real poll is
- 18:13Speaker 2: what the candidates would use. These public polls cost about
- 18:17Speaker 2: four or five thousand bucks to do. They're cheap. The
- 18:19Speaker 2: real polls that the internals, those are like a million
- 18:22Speaker 2: dollars a month. Now, no campaign has done them. Nobody's
- 18:26Speaker 2: spent the money this time, so we don't have the
- 18:28Speaker 2: real polls. These are cheap. This latest one that came
- 18:31Speaker 2: out today uses the wrong turnout model. It's not likely voters.
- 18:36Speaker 2: It's got all kinds of problems with it. So the
- 18:39Speaker 2: you know, they'll tell you it's a margin verius four percent,
- 18:41Speaker 2: it's more like thirty percent on these cheap public polls.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Let's go to Steve in Manhattan. Steve, how you doing, man?
- 18:49Speaker 4: Damny, No jails, no bail, no police.
- 18:52Speaker 2: We'll go with Curtis Baby, all right, thanks for calling.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Let's go to Kevin in Charlotte. Kevin, how you doing?
- 19:00Speaker 4: Hi?
- 19:00Speaker 1: Mark? My question is why would Mikey Cheryl want disgrace
- 19:05Speaker 1: President Obama's endorsement. He's typically the kiss of death to
- 19:10Speaker 1: any politician.
- 19:11Speaker 4: He endorses.
- 19:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a good point. Mikey Schall got Barack Obama.
- 19:14Speaker 2: He wouldn't come endorse her. He wasn't worth flying in
- 19:17Speaker 2: for her. But he made a video or something like that.
- 19:19Speaker 2: But you're right, every time Obama endorses a candidate, I
- 19:23Speaker 2: think it's like ninety nine point eight percent of the time,
- 19:25Speaker 2: they always lose. So not a good move for her.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Let's go to John and New Jersey. John, how you doing.
- 19:33Speaker 2: I'm good going. So my opinion on the mayor's race
- 19:37Speaker 2: doesn't mean much to you. But from Jersey, Cuomo is
- 19:41Speaker 2: in the race to help Mondami. Now Coloma's in the
- 19:45Speaker 2: race because he has nothing else to do, nowhere else
- 19:47Speaker 2: to go. You got to give him credit just for
- 19:50Speaker 2: Houtzba when was less of me. Saw guy leave office
- 19:54Speaker 2: in total disgrace, has to resign because of threats of indictment,
- 19:58Speaker 2: the Attorney generals after the ethics committees that he has
- 20:01Speaker 2: to relieve in total disgrace, and then he runs again.
- 20:04Speaker 2: You know, even Nixon went and hid for a few
- 20:06Speaker 2: years and he eventually made a comeback, but it was
- 20:10Speaker 2: you know, many many, many many years later. But Cuomo
- 20:14Speaker 2: had nowhere else to go, and I you know, he's
- 20:18Speaker 2: politics is all he knows. I'm sure if you asked him,
- 20:20Speaker 2: I'll tell you that's my business. Politics. I don't do
- 20:23Speaker 2: it well. He's even got a TV commercial where he
- 20:25Speaker 2: says that this is all I know how to do,
- 20:26Speaker 2: is politics. But you could also make the case he
- 20:30Speaker 2: doesn't do it very well. As a governor, he was
- 20:32Speaker 2: the most left wing kook with his no bail, no jail,
- 20:35Speaker 2: closed the prisons, all that crazy left wing stuff, and
- 20:38Speaker 2: then got himself run out of office, had the Flea
- 20:41Speaker 2: Albany and resign in disgrace. So you could argue, hey,
- 20:45Speaker 2: maybe he's not so great at this. I want more.
- 20:47Speaker 2: Called Pete in the Bronx. Pete, what do you want
- 20:48Speaker 2: to say? Yep, wait a minute, Pete, go ahead. I
- 20:54Speaker 2: got to hei Mark. I gotta agree with the last caller.
- 20:57Speaker 2: The Dems are smart. They're keeping Quoma in the race
- 21:00Speaker 2: simply to get mom Dommi elected and to split the
- 21:03Speaker 2: vote anyone else. Yeah, that could be, but they're not
- 21:05Speaker 2: keeping him the race. He has nothing to do with
- 21:06Speaker 2: the Democrats. He's a third party candidate and they can't
- 21:10Speaker 2: get rid of him. But you remember there are only
- 21:12Speaker 2: two major party candidates, Curtis the Republican mom, Donnie the Democrat.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Cuomo is actually a third party candidate, which is always
- 21:20Speaker 2: the spoiler of the third party candidate. If he dropped
- 21:23Speaker 2: out of the race, maybe Curtis would have a much, much,
- 21:26Speaker 2: much better shot at this. Hey, Michael Goodwin is away.
- 21:30Speaker 2: He's on vacation. But when we come back, Liz Peak
- 21:33Speaker 2: the Brilliant Columnist, we'll fill in for him and we'll
- 21:36Speaker 2: talk to her next on seven to ten. WR, you're
- 21:40Speaker 2: ahead of the game just for being here, he smarks
- 21:44Speaker 2: aimone on sevent ten wor Hey, Michael Goodwin away this week,
- 21:50Speaker 2: Liz Peak, the Brilliant Columnist. Check out our website every
- 21:54Speaker 2: day lizpeak dot com. Great news columns, information lizpeak dot com,
- 22:00Speaker 2: and you get all over columns there, of course, you
- 22:01Speaker 2: see all over Fox and all over television. Liz Peak.
- 22:04Speaker 2: How you doing.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I'm terrific. Thank you for having me.
- 22:09Speaker 2: You did March yesterday? Did you in the No Kings March?
- 22:12Speaker 1: No? No, I didn't.
- 22:15Speaker 5: I'd forgotten my Mickey Mouse costume, so I really wasn't prepared.
- 22:19Speaker 2: It did look like a Halloween at the Senior Center,
- 22:21Speaker 2: didn't it.
- 22:22Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, I mean, really it was ridiculous.
- 22:27Speaker 5: But you know, Mark, it's kind of a sad moment
- 22:30Speaker 5: because you sort of I actually have a piece that
- 22:33Speaker 5: I'm sending in a Fox in a minute about what
- 22:36Speaker 5: are they protesting? Are they protesting Trump going after the
- 22:41Speaker 5: fentanyl importers who killed so.
- 22:44Speaker 1: Many young Americans?
- 22:45Speaker 5: Are they protesting the fact that we now have a
- 22:48Speaker 5: border that is secure?
- 22:51Speaker 1: Do we have an education Department that has.
- 22:53Speaker 5: A new mandate which is actually to teach black and
- 22:56Speaker 5: brown kids how to read? I mean, you kind of
- 22:58Speaker 5: go through all all the stuff that the Trump White
- 23:01Speaker 5: House is doing, not you know, importantly, including reshoring, manufacturing
- 23:09Speaker 5: and trying to make American companies competitive overseas, and you
- 23:13Speaker 5: kind of say, what is it all about? What are
- 23:15Speaker 5: they so angry about. What they're really angry about is
- 23:19Speaker 5: that we elected the majority of the country elected somebody
- 23:22Speaker 5: that don't like.
- 23:23Speaker 1: That's what it comes down to.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it's different. You know, the same thing with George
- 23:27Speaker 2: Bush that you know, they always went after him a little,
- 23:29Speaker 2: but Trump really riles them up, doesn't he. I guess
- 23:32Speaker 2: he does it deliberately.
- 23:34Speaker 5: They hate him, and partly it's because he just doesn't
- 23:38Speaker 5: play by the rules. You know, he goes after his opponents.
- 23:41Speaker 5: He's rough, he's crude sometimes.
- 23:45Speaker 1: And because he gets stuff done. I mean, I think
- 23:48Speaker 1: that's why they hate him.
- 23:49Speaker 5: Actually, I think it's because its number one. He got
- 23:52Speaker 5: elected in spite of an all court legal press to
- 23:57Speaker 5: make sure that he was unelectable, which failed monumentally, and
- 24:03Speaker 5: he won in spite of all that. And I think
- 24:07Speaker 5: they just they really can't handle it because now that
- 24:11Speaker 5: he's president and that he has both Houses of Congress,
- 24:15Speaker 5: he's going after all the fraud and the waist and
- 24:20Speaker 5: the NGOs that Elon Musk called out for being basically
- 24:25Speaker 5: money launderers and all these things. And you know, most
- 24:28Speaker 5: Republicans just don't go there. They're afraid to go there,
- 24:31Speaker 5: and he is not.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, the mayoral race only fifteen days left. The
- 24:37Speaker 2: problem is Andrew Cuomo is so unlikable. And I mean,
- 24:43Speaker 2: it'd be great if we had one candidate, but we
- 24:46Speaker 2: got two major party candidates Kuoma the third party. But
- 24:50Speaker 2: and you watched the debate. He was not too great
- 24:52Speaker 2: in that debate.
- 24:53Speaker 5: Oh, he was better than he was in the primary
- 24:57Speaker 5: debate when he was just like totally out to lunch.
- 25:01Speaker 1: But even then this one. I mean, this is pretty incredible.
- 25:04Speaker 5: He really didn't look prepared to answer the obvious questions.
- 25:09Speaker 5: He didn't have you know, Mom Donnie came with prepared
- 25:13Speaker 5: sound bites. Curtis Leewa had prepared sound bites, sound bites.
- 25:18Speaker 5: But here's the really tragic thing. A poll that's just
- 25:22Speaker 5: new shows that it's possible that Clomo could win if
- 25:26Speaker 5: Curtis Leewa gets out of the race. I don't I
- 25:30Speaker 5: don't like Andrew Cuomo. I think he's horrible. He was
- 25:33Speaker 5: a horrible governor, but he's better than Mom Donnie. And
- 25:36Speaker 5: Curtis Leewa has no chance of winning.
- 25:39Speaker 2: Yeah, so very view a very flawed poll. John McLaughlan
- 25:43Speaker 2: pointing out the ust the wrong model in that poll.
- 25:45Speaker 2: It's only a few hundred people.
- 25:47Speaker 5: So but go ahead, Well the end, we don't really
- 25:50Speaker 5: have any better information to go on, and no one
- 25:54Speaker 5: has been able to make the case that Sleewa can
- 25:56Speaker 5: pull this out.
- 25:57Speaker 1: But by the way, the.
- 25:58Speaker 5: Only guy that really made any sense or displayed any
- 26:02Speaker 5: deep knowledge of the city and its problems was Curtis
- 26:05Speaker 5: sleewat that debate. I think that is a fair statement.
- 26:09Speaker 5: I just don't think he probably can win.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Yeah. Now if you ask Curtis, if you said that
- 26:13Speaker 2: to Curtis, he'll say, well, yeah, you guys are all
- 26:14Speaker 2: doing that to me. It's like you're creating the whole
- 26:17Speaker 2: myth that I can't win.
- 26:18Speaker 1: But well, it's possible. It's possible. You know.
- 26:23Speaker 5: We had him on the morning since Maria showed it
- 26:26Speaker 5: this morning, and he had a great line talking about
- 26:30Speaker 5: Andrew Cuomo, saying, you know, because of him, we're locking
- 26:34Speaker 5: up the you know, products at CVS instead of the criminals.
- 26:38Speaker 1: And he's totally right. I mean, look, Cuomo's terrible. I
- 26:42Speaker 1: don't want to vote for him.
- 26:43Speaker 5: I just don't want mom Donnie to be our mayor,
- 26:46Speaker 5: and sadly it looks like he probably will be.
- 26:50Speaker 1: But sleewah raised is a good point.
- 26:52Speaker 5: If we all weren't out there saying please drop out,
- 26:55Speaker 5: maybe he would be doing better.
- 26:56Speaker 1: I don't know what a mess.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Hey, did you know there's still I didn't realize that
- 27:02Speaker 2: there's still a government shutdown? Do you think anybody notices this?
- 27:04Speaker 1: Ah? Isn't that something?
- 27:07Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:08Speaker 5: And you know, supposedly Democrats were waiting for No King's
- 27:12Speaker 5: Day to get together and vote in favor of the
- 27:18Speaker 5: government reopening. I think there's a really good question about
- 27:21Speaker 5: how that's going to be perceived by the far left.
- 27:24Speaker 5: Are they going to be happy that the government reopens
- 27:28Speaker 5: if the Democrats have nothing to show for their shutdown?
- 27:31Speaker 1: I don't know. I think this is risky for Democrats, but.
- 27:35Speaker 5: It goes on and on, and you know, I don't
- 27:40Speaker 5: really know what they're accomplishing. Maybe they are accomplishing having
- 27:45Speaker 5: more focus on the Obamacare subsidies. I think that's probably
- 27:49Speaker 5: a fair statement. But you know, I think the Republicans
- 27:54Speaker 5: are going to be pretty wary of letting those healthcare
- 27:59Speaker 5: premiums go through the roof anyway, and a lot of
- 28:02Speaker 5: red states are going to really see big increases in
- 28:05Speaker 5: the cost of Obamacare, and so my guess is there's
- 28:10Speaker 5: rooms to negotiate there, but you know, shutting down the
- 28:13Speaker 5: government is not the way to do it.
- 28:15Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, we'll see lot's going to happen this week.
- 28:19Speaker 2: The next debate is Wednesday night, mayoral debate. Well, yeah,
- 28:23Speaker 2: Liz Peak great stuff. Now tell everybody about lizpeak dot
