• 0:30
  SPEAKER_06: Isn't this great?
• 0:31
SPEAKER_06: It's a beautiful day after some bad weather going over the Midwest.
• 0:35
SPEAKER_08: And how's it going, Steve?
• 0:37
SPEAKER_08: Kind of an amazing week in some ways.
• 0:38
SPEAKER_08: I watched the Grammy Awards.
• 0:40
SPEAKER_08: Now, of course, the Grammys were on a few months ago, but you know, I I tend to do things like when I'm ready, you know, not when they happen.
• 0:48
SPEAKER_06: And the best part is I don't think anybody gives a shit who wins the Grammy Awards.
• 0:52
SPEAKER_06: So you didn't even know when you were watching it.
• 0:55
SPEAKER_06: No, I was just as suspenseful.
• 0:57
  SPEAKER_08: I know I didn't know.
• 0:58
SPEAKER_08: In fact, I read an article listing the winners after the award show, and I already forgot who won.
• 1:03
SPEAKER_08: So it was all brand new to me.
• 1:04
SPEAKER_08: I didn't know any of these people anyway.
• 1:06
SPEAKER_08: So what the hell, what the heck, right?
• 1:07
  SPEAKER_08: But I digress.
• 1:08
SPEAKER_08: I you know, I was watching the Grammys, and every award show does this.
• 1:12
SPEAKER_08: It's always my favorite part.
• 1:13
SPEAKER_08: You know how like on the Oscars and on a lot of the award shows, they do an in-memorium.
• 1:17
SPEAKER_08: Oh, that's my favorite part.
• 1:19
SPEAKER_08: That's my favorite part too.
• 1:20
  SPEAKER_08: Yes, I love that.
• 1:21
SPEAKER_08: I watch that every award show, and then I actually go to YouTube and I watch it again because uh somebody always puts it up, you know.
• 1:28
  SPEAKER_08: So I I'm I watched it a few times.
• 1:29
  SPEAKER_08: It's great.
• 1:30
SPEAKER_08: You know, I don't know if the Grammas has always had that, but I was watching this like, wow, that was great.
• 1:35
SPEAKER_08: It's always interesting to see who's on that in memoriam, like who died in the past year or who died in the past year.
• 1:42
SPEAKER_08: You thought, well, I thought they died 35 years ago, you know.
• 1:45
SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I remember my dad, not a happy guy, but when he would see that part of the Academy Awards, it would make him so happy to hear about who died in the last year.
• 1:55
SPEAKER_06: And what a surprise that they were even alive before that.
• 1:59
SPEAKER_06: That was good memories of my father.
• 2:01
  SPEAKER_08: Oh, exactly, exactly.
• 2:02
SPEAKER_08: Like some of the people on the city memoriam who died in the past year.
• 2:05
  SPEAKER_08: Lisa Marie Presley.
• 2:07
  SPEAKER_08: Remember that?
• 2:08
  SPEAKER_08: Yeah, Lisa Marie Presley.
• 2:09
SPEAKER_08: Robbie Robertson, who, gosh, what a major talent.
• 2:13
SPEAKER_08: I mean, that guy, yeah, he was really good.
• 2:15
SPEAKER_06: So and so liked by the the group, the band.
• 2:18
  SPEAKER_06: Oh, yeah.
• 2:19
SPEAKER_08: Oh, they all loved him.
• 2:21
  SPEAKER_08: He just loved it.
• 2:21
SPEAKER_08: Oh yeah, couldn't get enough of him.
• 2:23
SPEAKER_08: It was it was a Canadian thing, you know.
• 2:25
SPEAKER_08: It was like Canadian whiskey.
• 2:26
SPEAKER_08: Who doesn't like it, right?
• 2:28
SPEAKER_08: You know, absolutely and uh David Crosby.
• 2:30
SPEAKER_08: Speaking of major talents, David Crosby, Jimmy Buffett, and Keith Richards.
• 2:35
  SPEAKER_08: Keith Richards.
• 2:37
  SPEAKER_06: Yeah, yeah, Keith Richards.
• 2:39
SPEAKER_06: Steve, you know, yeah, I I was aware about all of them.
• 2:43
  SPEAKER_06: I don't know.
• 2:44
SPEAKER_06: I knew about Lisa Marie Presley, but oh yeah, I don't know.
• 2:46
  SPEAKER_06: That was those news.
• 2:48
SPEAKER_06: I'm not completely sure that Keith Richards is dead.
• 2:50
SPEAKER_06: I think I think he's still alive, really, the best of my knowledge.
• 2:54
  SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I think so.
• 2:55
SPEAKER_06: And yeah, I think he was kind of the superhero, you know, like regardless of what would happen to him, he would end up surviving it.
• 3:03
SPEAKER_06: I think he probably had like last rights given to him like five or six times in his life because he just always bounced back.
• 3:10
  SPEAKER_06: I'm pretty sure he's alive.
• 3:12
  SPEAKER_06: Well, that's amazing.
• 3:13
  SPEAKER_06: He's alive, yeah.
• 3:14
SPEAKER_08: He must be a superhero of some sort.
• 3:16
SPEAKER_06: I actually was researching the Rolling Stones a while back, and I I ended up finding this documentary about Keith Richards.
• 3:25
SPEAKER_06: It was about his childhood, it was his early life.
• 3:27
SPEAKER_06: I think it was called something like Keith Richards, his childhood is early life.
• 3:31
SPEAKER_06: Somebody knew something like that.
• 3:33
SPEAKER_06: Yeah, it was something like that.
• 3:34
SPEAKER_06: Um, it had a disclaimer, you know, that said that it may not be true and that it's probably not true, but it's what they heard happened, and the lawyers they get involved here, and you know, they're worried about every detail being right, and and it's not always like that.
• 3:51
SPEAKER_06: But no, no, you know, it was a group of interviews, and I thought it was pretty interesting.
• 3:57
  SPEAKER_06: I don't remember the author's name.
• 4:00
SPEAKER_06: Why don't we just play it?
• 4:01
SPEAKER_06: You know, that would be a great thing.
• 4:02
SPEAKER_08: I think our listeners would really enjoy that.
• 4:04
SPEAKER_06: Why don't we just play it?
• 4:05
SPEAKER_06: And the actual name is it's called Keith Richards Story, the early years, interviews with people who knew him when he was young.
• 4:16
SPEAKER_06: And the author is Brian Jones.
• 4:18
SPEAKER_06: Might as well give credit.
• 4:19
SPEAKER_06: Uh oh, there you go.
• 4:20
  SPEAKER_06: Yeah.
• 4:21
SPEAKER_06: Yeah, let's take a lesson why don't we play it?
• 4:26
  SPEAKER_05: Good evening.
• 4:27
  SPEAKER_05: I'm Brian Jones.
• 4:30
SPEAKER_05: This is the story about Keith Richards.
• 4:33
SPEAKER_05: Who was, I mean, who is Keith Richards?
• 4:38
SPEAKER_05: Former, I mean, current, singer, writer, and performer in the greatest rock and roll group in the history of rock and roll, The Rolling Stones.
• 4:51
SPEAKER_05: And now the real story, or at least the one we can tell.
• 4:58
SPEAKER_05: Keys Richards was born on 18 December 1943 at Livingston Hospital in Marshfield, Missouri, 30 miles outside Springfield.
• 5:08
SPEAKER_05: He is the only child of Doris Maud Lydia, Ney Dupree, and Herbert William Richards.
• 5:16
SPEAKER_05: His father was a factory worker until he was wounded in the Second World War during the Normandy invasion.
• 5:23
SPEAKER_05: Doris, his mother, was a stay-at-home mom.
• 5:30
SPEAKER_02: I remember, I remember little Keith when he was my son.
• 5:34
SPEAKER_02: Um, he was my only son.
• 5:36
SPEAKER_02: I have very good memories of that boy.
• 5:38
SPEAKER_02: That boy, he was he is wonderful.
• 5:40
SPEAKER_02: I remember I had six miscarriages leading up to little Keith being born, which is about the average, you know.
• 5:48
SPEAKER_02: Back in Missouri, if you had eight miscarriages or ten miscarriages, that was pretty normal.
• 5:54
SPEAKER_02: So for me, I was pretty fertile and things went really well.
• 5:58
SPEAKER_02: And and you know, I gave birth to little Keith.
• 6:01
SPEAKER_02: The funny thing was, I thought that he was a miscarriage as well.
• 6:05
SPEAKER_02: Uh, you know, he had that wild hair, and you know, he just looked like an old man.
• 6:10
SPEAKER_02: Plus, when he cried, he just sounded like a wounded animal, like he wasn't even human.
• 6:15
SPEAKER_02: It was like a wounded possum or something.
• 6:18
SPEAKER_02: I remember uh me and Pa, we sat down with that doctor, and it took a long time for him to convince us that Keith was a real live baby boy.
• 6:28
SPEAKER_05: Why didn't you tell us about Keith's dad?
• 6:31
  SPEAKER_02: Oh, Keith's dad, he's he's a proud daddy.
• 6:35
SPEAKER_02: Although he ain't never said much, and when he did talk, you really couldn't understand a word he said either.
• 6:40
SPEAKER_02: Kind of just mumbled a lot, and you know, he would sit in that rocking chair, rocking back and forth, watching me and Martha nurse Keith from morning to night.
• 6:51
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think that made him happy.
• 6:53
SPEAKER_02: I know he would smile a little bit and say something, but again, you know, we didn't really know what he was saying most of the time, but he was happy.
• 7:02
SPEAKER_05: Well, you and Keith must have been very close.
• 7:06
SPEAKER_02: Oh, we were very close.
• 7:07
SPEAKER_02: I love that little baby boy.
• 7:09
SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I used to sing to him all the time.
• 7:12
SPEAKER_02: Um, his favorite was Dolly Parton.
• 7:15
SPEAKER_02: He just loved Dolly Parton.
• 7:17
SPEAKER_02: He liked to watch her sing and dance, and you know, when he got older, I think Dolly was his favorite singer along with Perry Como.
• 7:26
SPEAKER_02: Plus, you know, he kind of had a crush on both of them, I think.
• 7:30
SPEAKER_05: Well, it sounds like Keith had a wonderful childhood thanks to you.
• 7:35
  SPEAKER_02: Wait, I don't like to brag.
• 7:37
SPEAKER_02: You know, it was it was a good one, and uh, you know, I think I'm probably responsible for all the success that Keith has had, but not everything was perfect.
• 7:47
SPEAKER_02: He did continue to struggle, you know, with uh with talking.
• 7:51
SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, just just couldn't couldn't understand the goddamn word the boy ever said.
• 7:56
SPEAKER_02: Uh, you know, and he never got better as he got older.
• 8:00
SPEAKER_02: I remember thinking that, you know, maybe he was talking too fast.
• 8:04
SPEAKER_02: And so uh I you know, I'd in the morning I'd give him a shot of bourbon just to slow him down a little bit, and that would work for a while, and then he'd start speeding up again, so I'd have to give him another shot at night and to calm him down.
• 8:18
SPEAKER_02: It was helpful, but it it it just you know he he never really got better, although he became a little sweeter after, you know, the third or fourth shot of bourbon.
• 8:30
  SPEAKER_05: Now you'd mentioned Martha.
• 8:32
  SPEAKER_05: Tell us about Martha.
• 8:33
  SPEAKER_05: Who was Martha?
• 8:35
SPEAKER_02: Well, Martha was a family friend, and she uh she's a she's a really nice lady.
• 8:41
SPEAKER_02: Um, she lived with us from the time that Keith got home from the hospital, and she was Keith's wet nurse and babysitter, which was unusual.
• 8:50
SPEAKER_02: You know, not a lot of people had wet nurses back then, and uh, we were very lucky to have Martha.
• 8:56
SPEAKER_02: She was uh very shapely and well endowed, and Keith took to her immediately.
• 9:02
SPEAKER_02: They were inseparable, uh, except of course when I was nursing.
• 9:06
  SPEAKER_05: Well, now I'm confused.
• 9:09
SPEAKER_05: Did Keith grow up in the United States?
• 9:12
SPEAKER_05: How did he end up in London?
• 9:15
SPEAKER_02: Well, we had to send Keith to to England on account of his language, and after Keith left to go to London, he you know, we tried to stay in touch with him, but it ain't the same like it is now, you know, where you can make phone calls and you can go hop on a plane and see somebody.
• 9:32
SPEAKER_02: We just just didn't have the ability to communicate like that.
• 9:35
SPEAKER_02: So maybe there was a card for a birthday every once in a while.
• 9:39
SPEAKER_02: But I think he was happy.
• 9:40
SPEAKER_02: He went to go live with Ann Angie, my sister, and she did a really good job of raising him.
• 9:47
SPEAKER_05: Have you been in touch with Keith?
• 9:49
SPEAKER_05: What do you know about his life now?
• 9:52
SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, this is the sad part.
• 9:55
SPEAKER_02: Sad part is I was so sad to hear that he had passed away from uh from an infection from rabies a few years ago.
• 10:04
SPEAKER_02: I think he got bit by a squirrel.
• 10:06
SPEAKER_02: I remember telling him to leave those animals alone, but you know, in some ways it was our fault.
• 10:11
SPEAKER_02: You know, we knew that he had that voice that would attract wildlife.
• 10:16
SPEAKER_02: And uh, you know, if I want to be completely uh, you know, honest with you, we actually used to take him out hunting every once in a while, and you know, we'd get him to talk a little bit, and boy, the possums would come out, and we'd have a mighty fine dinner, and you know, those were the good times.
• 10:34
SPEAKER_05: Let's hear from Keith's wet nurse, Martha Monroe.
• 10:38
SPEAKER_03: Well, of course I remember Keith.
• 10:40
SPEAKER_03: I took care of him as soon as he came home from the doctor.
• 10:44
SPEAKER_03: I was like called the family.
• 10:46
SPEAKER_03: Think back when he was born.
• 10:48
SPEAKER_03: I wouldn't say Keith was a pretty baby, but he was born with full hair hair.
• 10:53
SPEAKER_03: Funny thing, it was kind of greasy and impossible to calm.
• 10:57
SPEAKER_03: Just went all over the place.
• 11:02
SPEAKER_05: So you were Keith's babysitter.
• 11:05
SPEAKER_03: Well, yeah, but he was more like family.
• 11:08
SPEAKER_03: I was there close to the lad, probably because I nursed him for the first five years of his life.
• 11:13
SPEAKER_03: When I say nurs, I knew all of the time.
• 11:16
SPEAKER_03: That boy had a first breast milk that I never seen before nor since.
• 11:20
SPEAKER_03: It was almost like it was an addiction.
• 11:23
SPEAKER_03: I suspect that's why he hired me.
• 11:26
SPEAKER_03: Since he must breast milk Keith consumed, couldn't be produced by just one woman.
• 11:29
SPEAKER_03: But yeah, yeah, yeah, we were clumps literally joined at the boob.
• 11:33
SPEAKER_05: When was the last time you talked to Keith?
• 11:37
SPEAKER_03: Oh, not since he moved to London.
• 11:39
SPEAKER_03: Off the won't want to have a little keith.
• 11:41
SPEAKER_03: I hope he died in his 20th from lactose poisoning.
• 11:45
  SPEAKER_03: That's too bad.
• 11:46
SPEAKER_03: He has so much to give.
• 11:48
SPEAKER_03: I'll thought he'd be a milkman with an inner super breast palm.
• 11:51
  SPEAKER_03: Yeah, he's such a waste.
• 11:55
SPEAKER_05: Next, we had the chance to talk to Lisa Douglas, Keith's grade school teacher.
• 12:02
SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, I remember Keith.
• 12:04
SPEAKER_00: He is a fine student, just a fine student.
• 12:08
SPEAKER_00: Him and his family, they and I think their wet nurse lived just outside town, you know, about 30 minutes from Springfield, Missouri.
• 12:16
SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah, we we live in a small town.
• 12:18
SPEAKER_00: We're there's about 500 people in that town, and there's just a handful of kids, and I was the only teacher.
• 12:25
SPEAKER_00: So I was with Keith from the time he started kindergarten all the way up to sixth grade or so.
• 12:31
SPEAKER_00: Uh Keith, he wasn't a great student, um, mostly because he was so creative.
• 12:37
SPEAKER_00: And, you know, he always wanted to focus on his art projects and breastfeeding all day.
• 12:41
SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I just wasn't equipped to handle all that.
• 12:45
SPEAKER_00: I I did the best I could with the nursing part, but you know, I just didn't have the skills to help Keith perform and generate and develop those skills as an artist.
• 12:56
SPEAKER_00: I I can tell you one thing, I remember every day it was very rare to see Keith without paint and glue and milk all over his face.
• 13:05
SPEAKER_00: He was always such a mess.
• 13:07
SPEAKER_05: Other than the breast feeding, did Keith have any other challenges?
• 13:13
  SPEAKER_00: I'm afraid so.
• 13:15
SPEAKER_00: I I feel bad about this because you know, back then we were we were pretty backward, and you know, the the the big problem with Keith was he just couldn't understand a goddamn word he said.
• 13:28
SPEAKER_00: At first we thought it was cause of the breastfeeding because, you know, his teeth separated and you know he had this permanent punkering look on his mouth, you know, the shape of it.
• 13:39
SPEAKER_00: And eventually, and we thought, well, maybe he'd grow out of that if he ever stopped nursing.
• 13:44
SPEAKER_00: But we were wrong, and it just got worse and worse and worse.
• 13:48
SPEAKER_00: It got to the point that it was it was not unusual for Keith to say something in school, and we'd spend about 15 minutes trying to figure out what the hell he said, and that was really a problem.
• 14:01
SPEAKER_05: I think our viewers may have a hard time thinking of Keith as growing up in Missouri.
• 14:07
  SPEAKER_05: He sounds so English.
• 14:10
SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that was a that was sort of a miracle and kind of a really creepy one because in addition to not understanding a word he said, the stuff that came out of his mouth, he had an English accent, even though he was born in Missouri, made no sense at all.
• 14:26
SPEAKER_00: I remember eventually I took uh drove Keith over to Springfield to meet with the speech disorder specialist or whatever the the hell they call him, and they diagnosed him with royal dysmarthia.
• 14:41
SPEAKER_00: I think that was the name of it.
• 14:43
SPEAKER_00: It was the inability to speak clearly, but when you do, it's with an English accent.
• 14:49
  SPEAKER_00: Very rare.
• 14:51
SPEAKER_05: I've never heard of that before.
• 14:53
  SPEAKER_05: That sounds quite serious.
• 14:59
SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah, at the time, you know, it was kind of funny, you know, at times, but at the time not much was known about that disease or back in Missouri or any disease for that matter.
• 15:10
SPEAKER_00: You know, the I think what we decided was since he sounded like he was British, the best thing to do would be to send him to England.
• 15:17
SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, maybe he could fit in better there.
• 15:20
SPEAKER_00: And plus, you know, I think they had a relative, an Aunt Angie, that lived in London.
• 15:25
SPEAKER_00: So I think they uh they shipped him off there.
• 15:28
SPEAKER_00: Uh I you know, it's very sad because I don't remember what happened to Keith after that, although I heard that he died of a of a bad blood transfusion.
• 15:39
SPEAKER_00: I think it was during the COVID years, although it might have been in the 90s, I'm not sure.
• 15:44
SPEAKER_00: I think he wanted to give blood to those who really needed it, and he died preparing and cleaning the blood so that other people could use it.
• 15:53
SPEAKER_00: He was a wonderful, wonderful little boy, and that just describes Keith completely.
• 16:00
SPEAKER_05: Our producers were kind enough to fly myself and our crew to England, where we had the chance to interview Pant Angie who raised Keith.
• 16:13
SPEAKER_04: Yes, Keith was a great kid, and we all loved him so much.
• 16:18
SPEAKER_04: I remember when he arrived from the States, he was a very brilliant one.
• 16:24
SPEAKER_04: What we really loved about Keith was he had enormous energy, even though he randomly snapped.
• 16:33
SPEAKER_04: I guess it had something to do with all those vitamins he talked and of course the best milk vitamins too.
• 16:40
SPEAKER_04: As far as the vitamins he talked, we're not really sure where he got them.
• 16:45
SPEAKER_04: We didn't have a lot of money, so we couldn't afford to get prescriptions from a doctor.
• 16:51
SPEAKER_04: But fortunately, Keith had a friend in school whose father was a doctor of some sort.
• 16:58
SPEAKER_04: Anyway, however he got them, they changed his life.
• 17:03
SPEAKER_04: I'm not sure that he would have ever stopped an air thing if it wasn't for those victims.
• 17:10
SPEAKER_05: Well, it sounds like moving to England was the best thing that could have happened to him.
• 17:16
  SPEAKER_04: Ah, precisely.
• 17:18
SPEAKER_04: But not all the speeches and cleanable house definitely keep having challenges.
• 17:24
SPEAKER_04: Like most teams had a real self-esteem for me.
• 17:31
SPEAKER_04: And that's why he couldn't get girls.
• 17:34
SPEAKER_04: I forgot to explain the key.
• 17:36
SPEAKER_04: It wasn't because it was ugly that he didn't get the girls.
• 17:40
SPEAKER_04: It's because no girl could understand the word he said.
• 17:52
SPEAKER_04: Looking back, it was probably best.
• 17:55
SPEAKER_04: The girls didn't know what he was asking for.
• 17:58
SPEAKER_04: It might have worked took them out.
• 18:01
SPEAKER_04: At one point, the speech got so bad.
• 18:04
SPEAKER_04: We tried to solve the speeches in a variety of ways.
• 18:09
SPEAKER_04: We tried telling him up to speech, killing everyone he wasn't.
• 18:14
SPEAKER_04: That worked for a while.
• 18:16
SPEAKER_04: And then we came up with the idea of telling people he was from a different country.
• 18:22
  SPEAKER_04: What he was.
• 18:24
SPEAKER_04: But for a long time, people thought he was speaking French.
• 18:29
SPEAKER_05: That sounds like a very uh unusual cure.
• 18:36
SPEAKER_04: Yes, well, it didn't work.
• 18:38
SPEAKER_04: Looking back, he didn't really have much success with Canadians or making friends in general until he started sharing his vitamins with everyone in class.
• 18:48
SPEAKER_04: That was a horn breakup and what made him very popular.
• 18:52
SPEAKER_04: I still wonder what happened to Keith.
• 18:55
SPEAKER_04: I heard he died back in 71, but never heard what happened.
• 19:00
  SPEAKER_04: Someone said it's a lofty Eiffel Tower, but I don't know.
• 19:04
SPEAKER_04: Anyways, he was a good boy.
• 19:11
SPEAKER_05: Next, we had the chance to talk with Sam Drucker, owner of the Liverpool General Store and Music Shop, who is an important factor in Keith's career.
• 19:23
SPEAKER_01: I guess I should get credit for Roller Stand.
• 19:26
  SPEAKER_01: Since I said it's guitar.
• 19:29
SPEAKER_01: I clearly remember the first day Keith came into my store.
• 19:32
SPEAKER_01: Then it'd been much more than seven years old.
• 19:35
  SPEAKER_01: It was so enthusiastic.
• 19:37
SPEAKER_01: I think it was kind of hard to tell since he was very French, but very little English.
• 19:44
SPEAKER_01: But I do remember him mumbling at some moon river.
• 19:47
SPEAKER_01: For eight tech, Homo was his favorite.
• 19:51
SPEAKER_05: How did Keith afford to buy his first guitar?
• 19:54
SPEAKER_05: I don't think his aunt had a lot of money.
• 19:59
SPEAKER_01: Oh no, that they gave.
• 20:01
SPEAKER_01: And for about six more Keith came into his store every day.
• 20:04
SPEAKER_01: Looking at the guitar had sale.
• 20:07
SPEAKER_01: It was on top shelf in the back of the store, right next to the diet key filled the diabetic syringes.
• 20:14
SPEAKER_01: He would just stare at the guitar all day long.
• 20:17
SPEAKER_01: As I said, he didn't have any money back here.
• 20:20
SPEAKER_01: He would say something that sounded like he wanted to buy a guitar the syringe.
• 20:25
SPEAKER_01: Now obviously up and back, he wanted the guitar.
• 20:29
SPEAKER_05: So how did he get the guitar?
• 20:33
SPEAKER_01: Well, I couldn't keep even the guitar for free.
• 20:37
SPEAKER_01: So I offered him a job in the store to pay for the cost of the guitar.
• 20:41
SPEAKER_01: I mean enough to play dusting, especially on the top shelves at the back of the store.
• 20:47
SPEAKER_01: At last he was pretty disinterested, a little lazy, but as time went on, he became more enthusiastic and would work all day without even a break.
• 20:57
SPEAKER_01: Eventually he earned enough money to buy the guitar, and the guy at first grew his RP top and stuff joke away.
• 21:06
SPEAKER_05: So you could say that you were really responsible for all that great music.
• 21:12
  SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
• 21:22
SPEAKER_01: As a general stop, when if things got slow, I struggled to stay in business, especially with all the sharp lifting that happened about the same time I and key.
• 21:33
SPEAKER_01: But fortunately, it was his suggestion to move away from selling button of the products we sold and focused on the pharmaceutical stock, which eventually led me to open the first pharmacy in South Liverpool.
• 21:46
SPEAKER_01: All because that looked okay.
• 21:49
  SPEAKER_05: That's very interesting.
• 21:51
SPEAKER_05: I guess the rest is history.
• 21:56
SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I only wish he had lived longer, as he had so much to offer.
• 22:00
  SPEAKER_01: For the world.
• 22:01
SPEAKER_01: Eddie died a few years ago after falling out a train Jamaica.
• 22:05
SPEAKER_01: That's all at Miller Cage.
• 22:07
SPEAKER_01: They love nature and climbing really high.
• 22:11
SPEAKER_05: In part two of Keith Richards' The Early Years, Keith meets Mick, writes a bunch of songs, becomes famous, consumes the gargantuan amount of drugs, and survives it all to be the man he is today, still alive.
• 22:31
  SPEAKER_06: Wow.
• 22:33
  SPEAKER_06: So much information.
• 22:34
SPEAKER_06: I never knew that about him.
• 22:36
  SPEAKER_06: So impressed.
• 22:37
SPEAKER_06: Yeah, I got a feeling that not everything was a hundred percent accurate, but I really enjoyed what it was.
• 22:43
SPEAKER_06: And I would think the truth probably would be a little boring.
• 22:46
SPEAKER_06: But now that he's gone, I guess we'll really never know for sure.
• 22:49
  SPEAKER_08: Oh, that's so true.
• 22:50
SPEAKER_08: But you know, wait, wait, wait, Jeff.
• 22:53
SPEAKER_08: Keith Richards is still alive.
• 22:55
SPEAKER_08: Or at least he was at the time that we recorded this show.
• 22:58
SPEAKER_08: Life is uncertain, who knows?
• 22:59
SPEAKER_08: But at this point, he is still alive.
• 23:01
SPEAKER_08: So I maybe, maybe we can get him on the show sometime.
• 23:05
  SPEAKER_08: I don't know.
• 23:05
  SPEAKER_08: I don't know.
• 23:07
SPEAKER_08: We'll get the real story about his life.
• 23:09
SPEAKER_08: And we can see if he ever got over that pronunciation thing.
• 23:12
SPEAKER_06: Yeah, that would be perfect.
• 23:14
  SPEAKER_06: I I can't wait.
• 23:15
SPEAKER_08: You know, and Jeff, they are gonna kick us out here of eccentric Lady Land Studios in a few minutes.
• 23:19
SPEAKER_08: And you know how normally at the end of the show we have Johnny give prizes to the guests because you know that he gives away stuff.
• 23:27
SPEAKER_08: Well, Johnny, I gotta tell you, Jeff, Johnny, Johnny is passed out over at my mom's house.
• 23:32
SPEAKER_08: You know, he's been he's eating her out of house and home, and oh my gosh, he's hanging there, it's unbelievable.
• 23:38
SPEAKER_08: What my mom sees in that guy, I can't begin to tell you.
• 23:41
SPEAKER_08: But so he's not here tonight.
• 23:43
SPEAKER_08: So what I thought we'd do is we still want to give those good people in the documentary a gift.
• 23:50
SPEAKER_08: So I think we should just give them a full course at this wonderful sponsor.
• 23:57
SPEAKER_08: So, Jeff, we're gonna reveal the prize, a full course at this great sponsor, and we'll be back with our next show.
• 24:08
SPEAKER_08: Want to be in a rock band, but you can't sing?
