- 0:02Happy Friday morning, everybody. Friday morning is Friday.
- 0:10The greatest day of the week, is it?
- 0:14Respond right here. You know, when you're retired
- 0:20like me, every day is Saturday. But I will admit Friday seems to
- 0:28make everybody be happier, and they calm down and they get
- 0:31ready for the weekend. So I think, hey, Kim, is Friday
- 0:36the greatest day of the week? I don't know.
- 0:40Every day is ever. See, I told them.
- 0:43I said since we're retired, every day is Saturday.
- 0:47Yeah. But even if it's not, you should
- 0:52get up happy. Oh, listen to that one over
- 0:54there. She says even if Friday's not
- 0:57the greatest day week, you should get up every day happy.
- 1:00Get rid of all the negativity. By God, I agree, honey.
- 1:04Yes, get rid of all the negativity.
- 1:07Come make an appearance. I'm busy.
- 1:10She's busy. Well, whatever.
- 1:17All right everybody, it's Friday and remember I'm going to
- 1:24advertise this one because it's a big deal.
- 1:27We're racing this weekend starting tonight, Brownstown, IL
- 1:32at the Brownstown Bull Ring. The new mobile 1 dirt car is out
- 1:36there and ready to go. We are going to have shirts and
- 1:40coffee mugs on shopkennywallace.com, so we'll
- 1:45keep this same logo right there. But then when you turn around
- 1:49the corner here, we're going to have the Mobile 1 logo and we'll
- 1:53be selling sets. You can get the new shirt that's
- 1:57coming out in a couple weeks with the coffee mug.
- 2:01One thing that some of the fans are saying is they want to
- 2:03collect coffee mugs. You know, it's not like we're
- 2:06going to be selling coffee mugs all the time.
- 2:09But what I mean is like, as the years go by, would you like to
- 2:13collect a set of coffee mugs? Do you want the Sunoco coffee
- 2:18mug and do you want the Mobil One coffee mug?
- 2:22But we will change over to the Mobil One coffee mug.
- 2:25And remember, we as you can tell, this is this is 8, that's
- 2:318 ounces of coffee and it fills all the way up to the Sunoco
- 2:34there. So that's the reason we've sold
- 2:361600 of these coffee mugs is because they're big.
- 2:41Well, Louis, what you doing? Legend making nice little
- 2:45appearance. Oh, he's tired.
- 2:46Nice little yawn, Al a legend, Louis.
- 2:50All right, so shop kennywallace.com.
- 2:54Get your coffee with Kenny coffee mug.
- 2:57Get your T-shirts right now. Everybody's shirt is like that.
- 3:01Coffee with Kenny's shirt. OK, tonight once again,
- 3:06Brownstown, IL Brownstown Boring.
- 3:08But Saturday night, tomorrow night, I-55, Federated Auto
- 3:13Parts Raceway Park, and it is the first week of real racing.
- 3:19The last two races have been Mods Gone Wild and the World of
- 3:23Outlaws Sprint cars. Those have been specials.
- 3:26So tomorrow night at I-55 is the very first night of normal
- 3:33regular races. All divisions will be there so
- 3:36check us out. OK monologue is over.
- 3:45So this is weighed on my mind all week long as I scroll social
- 3:51media everyday. There are people that are just
- 3:55up in arms over the crowd being so low at Bristol.
- 4:03Well, let me steal a page from Kenny Schrader.
- 4:08Nashville Fairgrounds is very small, had 12,000 people there
- 4:13and it was packed and it looked good.
- 4:16We love Nashville and you go up to Bristol and it seats about
- 4:20155,000 people. So there was about 30,000 people
- 4:25there. Look bad because there were so
- 4:28many grandstands. So when people say, should we
- 4:33get rid of Bristol, Louis, Louis stop getting ready to lick his
- 4:40balls again right in front of everybody, just like a man Don't
- 4:45care. Reminds me of my dad.
- 4:49We'd go to Bristol and Rusty and all of us, we'd be sitting there
- 4:53with Rodger Penske, talking to Rodger Penske, one of the most
- 4:57powerful men in the world, and my dad would RIP a fart.
- 5:02We're and we're like, Dad, it's Rodger Penske.
- 5:08You know Rodger doesn't fart. Rodger Penske is his roses
- 5:14really smell like poop. Poop.
- 5:16That's all. He has no shame trying to lick
- 5:22his balls right in front of all of you.
- 5:27OK. So you you see where we're going
- 5:31with this. You know, everything at Bristol
- 5:35in this spring race is a lot lesser.
- 5:37It's just the way it is. So the question that I'm going
- 5:42to ask you is this, will you ever normalize that or will it
- 5:49always be a a problem with you? So we all know that 2006 was the
- 5:57last year of NASCAR high success 2006 and everything has been way
- 6:08lesser since. And now me, I've just grown
- 6:12accustomed to it. It's like this is the new world.
- 6:15Remember, it's, it's, it's the same thing as I told you a
- 6:18couple 2-3 days ago. They asked the 102 year old
- 6:22lady. They said what's changed since
- 6:26you know your, your days. And she looked at them and she
- 6:30said everything's changed. Nothing's the same and that's
- 6:35the way life is. Hell, I can remember we'd go
- 6:38down to Busch Stadium for our eleven time world champion Saint
- 6:42Louis Cardinals and you about, you about couldn't get in.
- 6:46I mean, Busch Stadium seats about I think it's sold out in a
- 6:51high 4040 thousand people, but used to be where you couldn't
- 6:55get in. Hell, you can walk down to right
- 6:58now and sit wherever the hell you want And and I for the most
- 7:02part, I see that at most baseball parts, you know, except
- 7:06for the ones that are, you know, the Dodgers are kicking the ass
- 7:09and you got some teams that are winning a lot.
- 7:11But for the most part, you see it in baseball right now.
- 7:16Now college, college football, they they don't play but a
- 7:22couple games a year, right. So I mean, you know, it's like
- 7:26saying somebody, hey, you're only going to get to see 8
- 7:29football games here. Well, hell, they're going to be
- 7:31packed. I mean, could you imagine NASCAR
- 7:34going over? We're only going to run 8 or 16
- 7:37races a year. We're going to run the Daytona
- 7:39500, a Southern 500A, Coke 600, maybe the Brickyard.
- 7:46Hell, they'd be packed too. I've always said NASCAR races
- 7:51too much. It's just the way I feel, You
- 7:55know, NASCAR used to only run like, what was it, 2832 races a
- 8:00year? That's when I was a crew chief
- 8:02at like 1984. Hey, respond right here.
- 8:05In 1984, how many NASCAR Cup races were there?
- 8:12All right, I think I've made my point.
- 8:16This is just the way it is, just the way it is.
- 8:20So I don't know about leaving Bristol, but they can do
- 8:24whatever they want to do. But I'm used to it.
- 8:26The spring race doesn't get very many people, but it's still hey,
- 8:30if you go to the race, like you know, when we do track
- 8:33satellite, it's packed. It's not until you get everybody
- 8:36in and you're like, damn, this place is empty.
- 8:39But when you're there on grounds, it's like, hey, things
- 8:41are happening. So 12,000 at the fairgrounds or
- 8:47over 30,000 at the at Bristol. Are you over it or does it still
- 8:54bother you? I don't care.
- 8:57I really don't. Have a great weekend everybody.
