  Speaker 3: Getting our chops back up after not playing for almost

  Speaker 3: nine years, recording the Other Mexico again, and kind of

  Speaker 3: for a lot of the members, getting to experience what

  Speaker 3: it is to record music these days, you know, like

  Speaker 3: from our lounge rooms and even for Cam and Simon

  Speaker 3: actually recorded on a back deck at Karen's house. So

  Speaker 3: it's you know, like sunshine and stuff like that in

  Speaker 3: the background and just recording riffs.

  Speaker 3: That comes with being all over forty now, I guess

  Speaker 3: for the most of us, yeah exactly. But outside of that,

  Speaker 3: last year, so we've got the experience of what Necrosonic

  Speaker 3: day it actually is. But yeah, this year playing with

  Speaker 3: Lynch Matter. We've played on the stage once before, as

  Speaker 3: I've played on the stage once before with Finch Marta.

  Speaker 2: I think they've played on it before that as well.

  Speaker 2: But yeah, this first.

  Speaker 1: Time for Necrosomic awesome, awesome. Yes, we were there, but

  Speaker 1: I think it was last month for Dead Winter, which

  Speaker 1: was really good. It's a good, good venue.

  Speaker 3: Yeah, they've got it really down to a team, you know,

  Speaker 3: like the stages, the setup, that's the way the day runs,

  Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it was seemed to be pretty seamless, you know.

  Speaker 1: So that was in a backstage ender in the in

  Speaker 1: got different projects happening, or.

  Speaker 3: I think it just comes with life, you know, like

  Speaker 3: you know, quite a few of us, I've been corrected

  Speaker 3: by the guys from my last interview that have become

  Speaker 3: fathers now and you know, we're just life.

  Speaker 2: You know, that happens. It's you know, making that time

  Speaker 3: A couple of us do have a other music project

  Speaker 3: that we work on, and yeah, just just general life

  Speaker 3: stuff and it just catches up and I feel like,

  Speaker 3: you know, Lynch Marda feels bigger than like for us,

  Speaker 3: like maybe I don't know, it's that when we like

  Speaker 3: even coming back for the one show.

  Speaker 2: It wasn't just coming back for one show.

  Speaker 3: We you know, recorded music, we you know, released merchandise

  Speaker 3: and you know, did a lot of work in the

  Speaker 3: background to kind of get ourselves back up to where

  Speaker 3: we kind of felt like lynch Mater should be. Yeah,

  Speaker 3: and so yeah, just you know what it means to

  Speaker 3: do it again. We'll see, like we're not saying no.

  Speaker 3: I guess at this stage we're not saying yes either. Well,

  Speaker 1: A hiatus I think they call it.

  Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, like in twenty nineteen, we played a show

  Speaker 3: that down in Adelaide that we said was kind of

  Speaker 3: going to be one and done, and then then four
• 4:30
  Speaker 3: months later we played another show and then I just

  Speaker 3: thought that was when you know, if you go back

  Speaker 3: to our Facebook post after it was done, it was

  Speaker 3: very much like I know, he's a hard full stop

  Speaker 3: after it, and you know, here we are nine years
• 4:44
  Speaker 3: later and in again.

  Speaker 1: So yeah, well there you go. Yes, it's one of

  Speaker 1: those things you kind of can't really predict getting in

  Speaker 1: all dependent action.

  Speaker 3: I don't know if you like you're like you would

  Speaker 3: know Canto like I would say that he can predict

  Speaker 3: it because the amount of hope that he puts in

  Speaker 3: But the Croissonic has been going on for three years,

  Speaker 3: but he's been working on Lynch Marta for at least five.

  Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. Yeah, it's about putting yourself out

  Speaker 1: there and you know, doing the promoting of you know,

  Speaker 1: backing yourself and if you want to be on the
• 5:20
  Speaker 1: stage and then able to do the hard yards and

  Speaker 1: the groundwork to get there. So doesn't this idea if

  Speaker 1: it happens over like magically and you know, just find
• 5:28
  Speaker 1: yourself flucked from nowhere is such a myth I think.

  Speaker 3: Yeah, absolutely, it's it's a different world out there. It's
• 5:34
  Speaker 3: just got to be doing it for the right reasons.

  Speaker 3: If you're doing the right reasons, it doesn't really matter

  Speaker 1: Well, that's it. That's it. And yeah, like you said,

  Speaker 1: was saying before, you know, the making of music these

  Speaker 1: days is obviously, you know, quite different to it back

  Speaker 1: when we probably first started. You know, it's all about

  Speaker 1: you know, the online presence as well and streaming the

  Speaker 1: numbers and very much so you like gigs and you know,

  Speaker 1: like gigs and merchers, whether the coin has been turned over.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I suppose, you know, like.

  Speaker 3: Definitely, Like for us, it wasn't about you know, like
• 6:05
  Speaker 3: turning over some income when it came to releasing our merchers,

  Speaker 3: just I guess we weren't really expecting a lot of

  Speaker 3: the you know, excitement or even engagement from a lot
• 6:17
  Speaker 3: of people even beforehand when we started sharing just some
• 6:20
  Speaker 3: of our old EP or single covers and some of
• 6:24
  Speaker 3: the old photos and stuff. It's just a lot of
• 6:26
  Speaker 3: people just really just showed like so much interest and
• 6:30
  Speaker 3: love that we weren't expecting. So it kind of felt like,
• 6:33
  Speaker 3: you know, doing a little bit more than just playing
• 6:36
  Speaker 3: a show. It would be worth it, and you know
• 6:39
  Speaker 3: that's why we're you know, like the one of our
• 6:41
  Speaker 3: T shirts is Necrosonic specific. I think that's just really
• 6:45
  Speaker 3: a celebration to the day and the and what it is,
• 6:50
  Speaker 3: you know, like a what could very well be a
• 6:53
  Speaker 3: one last time performance.

  Speaker 1: So yeah, well I think as crossed it's not and

  Speaker 1: now you never know what's in the enjoyed you know,

  Speaker 1: he said, Yeah, I got different projects, no doubt to

  Speaker 1: see you again somewhere gracing the stage or having one

  Speaker 3: So we just did the single, Yeah, just of the

  Speaker 3: other Mexico, the title track further album like twenty years ago. Like, yeah,

  Speaker 3: I remember I was such a massive fan of the band,

  Speaker 3: you know, back then, Like I was living in Sydney

  Speaker 3: and I'd have them stay over in my place whenever
• 7:31
  Speaker 3: I'm They're there, serious party dudes back in those days,
• 7:35
  Speaker 3: you know, like having to force them to to take
• 7:39
  Speaker 3: the van with all the gear back to my place
• 7:42
  Speaker 3: before they decided to leave it just on the side
• 7:44
  Speaker 3: of the street in full of gear in the middle.
• 7:46
  Speaker 2: Of Sydney and stuff like that.

  Speaker 3: And yeah, like I seeing the new members come in,
• 7:51
  Speaker 3: you know, like Cam and Simon back in those days,
• 7:55
  Speaker 3: you know, Dan coming in later, even Ken being in
• 7:59
  Speaker 3: the band, and you know, then getting the opportunity to

  Speaker 3: replace Kent. You know, like it's it's really cool to
• 8:05
  Speaker 3: be a part of what it meant to bring it
• 8:08
  Speaker 3: back to now, like you're not only production wise, but
• 8:10
  Speaker 3: a little bit of writing and stuff like that.

  Speaker 1: So yeah, nice, nice. So I think the re release

  Speaker 1: is always good and it's give's a bit of a
• 8:19
  Speaker 1: new life to some older, old faithful so as they say, yeah.

  Speaker 3: I feel and I feel like it stands to test

  Speaker 3: the time, you know, like it stands on its own now,

  Speaker 3: even after twenty years, like the you know, you think

  Speaker 3: something you're written about twenty years ago would just you know,

  Speaker 3: like it'd be a little bit outdated or whatever, but

  Speaker 3: you know, a little bit of a polish on it,

  Speaker 3: and it's and yeah, like a we're all extremely happy

  Speaker 1: Nice, nice, Well that's good. That's obviously very happy with

  Speaker 1: the way you do it. So a big, big helpful

  Speaker 1: hand when you're putting it out there. So yeah, well

  Speaker 3: Rivers of Nile tour, you know, like so were Slaughter

  Speaker 3: Court opening the day the mat at all straight after that, Neverotolic,

  Speaker 3: basically straight after that, Barriers and other bands that you know,

  Speaker 3: just really seriously been waiting to see Grave Mind are

  Speaker 3: always done a great job catching five Star again after
• 9:49
  Speaker 3: all these years. We're really looking forward to seeing sharing

  Speaker 3: the stage with Minus Life, as we have done many
• 9:55
  Speaker 3: times over the many years of both bends. I remember

  Speaker 3: actually booking Lynch Marto and Minus Life to play with

  Speaker 3: my previous band down in Sydney many many years ago,

  Speaker 3: so you know, so that's that is a very interesting

  Speaker 3: and the way that it all comes together, Suggression having

  Speaker 3: getting to see Suggression again, it's seeing.

  Speaker 1: Psychroptica later suffering.

  Speaker 2: So yeah, Psychroptic is never a bad time ever.

  Speaker 3: And I have been waiting forever to see Rivers and Nile,

  Speaker 3: so you know, I've left it too long to see them.

  Speaker 3: They've been there three or a few times and I

  Speaker 3: haven't been able to catch them. So this time I

  Speaker 3: will be you know, like it's I will be completely active,

  Speaker 3: including playing a show in the in between for twelve

  Speaker 3: hours watching bands.

  Speaker 1: Nice, nice, Well, yeah, there's definitely a lot there to

  Speaker 1: enjoy and catching the lineup.

  Speaker 3: It can's done a very very good job this year,

  Speaker 3: and like it feels like like it's done a really

  Speaker 3: really good job making sure that there's like, no, you know,

  Speaker 3: the crossover in terms of the band. So if you're

  Speaker 3: really into one stylo music, you're you're not gonna kind

  Speaker 3: of miss out on two bands that you really want

  Speaker 3: to see. And he did a really good job of

  Speaker 3: that this year. But I think this year has just

  Speaker 3: nailed it even more.

  Speaker 1: So, Yeah, no, that's really good when that happens, So

  Speaker 1: you didn't get to see it all and didn't have

  Speaker 1: no actual pit, like it's what I'm telling you. Like

  Speaker 1: last night I had that again, which was fun, but

  Speaker 1: one that I covered it wasst scary was that helmet

  Speaker 1: at the back room and the barone not the Great Northern,

  Speaker 1: and there was no media pit and I was going

  Speaker 1: from one side of the other until I realized, I'm like,

  Speaker 1: I'm not going back in that just and stand out.

  Speaker 1: But it was a really difficult, you know, just with

  Speaker 1: the lighting and stuff. Just not a great concephotography as

  Speaker 1: you know, red light threaten boy light.

  Speaker 2: But it's also what makes it so special, right, so true.

  Speaker 1: So true, So well, no doubt we are. We'll definitely
