- 0:00Speaker 1: This is the Ben and Ashley I Almost Famous podcast
- 0:03Speaker 1: with iHeartRadio.
- 0:06Speaker 2: It's time for another episode of the Almost Famous podcast.
- 0:09Speaker 2: We were so pumped to be here. It is Bachelor
- 0:11Speaker 2: in Paradise time. We are here, just ready to dive in. Ashley,
- 0:16Speaker 2: I will describe this episode in my opinion as less chaos.
- 0:21Speaker 2: It was not so confusing to me. This actually fell
- 0:24Speaker 2: us like a very like old school Paradise episode to me,
- 0:29Speaker 2: well pulled.
- 0:30Speaker 3: There was nothing that left me going hmmm, except okay,
- 0:35Speaker 3: this one thing Tanner giving Rachel de Rose was a
- 0:41Speaker 3: HM for me, just because he had that amazing date
- 0:46Speaker 3: with Davia or so he said, yeah this okay, I
- 0:49Speaker 3: would I would agree with you.
- 0:51Speaker 2: For the most part, this episode felt very straightforward, and
- 0:54Speaker 2: sometimes those hmmm moments are really good in Paradise because
- 0:58Speaker 2: they keep us wondering, questioning. The problem I think that
- 1:02Speaker 2: we've seen so far this season is this storytelling doesn't
- 1:04Speaker 2: feel complete because we don't know where Dobby and Tanner
- 1:07Speaker 2: went wrong. They were very strong. He was very okay
- 1:12Speaker 2: dropping Cat. Maybe he just wanted to drop Cat. It
- 1:16Speaker 2: could be, but I just wish we knew why that
- 1:19Speaker 2: that relationship did not flourish.
- 1:21Speaker 4: Yeah, totally agree.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, totally agree, and like it really start, all
- 1:28Speaker 3: the girls who came in last week ended up leaving,
- 1:31Speaker 3: so it was like, why do we even.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Have last week?
- 1:35Speaker 2: Yeah, and then we never got the storylines of why
- 1:38Speaker 2: those relationships that felt so beautiful and romantic and perfect
- 1:42Speaker 2: during their dates, why they didn't stay together through this week?
- 1:46Speaker 3: Like yeah, like Blake, look, Blake, who had a great
- 1:50Speaker 3: date with Genevieve.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Jess was like, nope, Jess, let's do this.
- 1:55Speaker 2: And Jess is making out with Tyler. We don't know
- 1:56Speaker 2: where that goes because he's back horses and.
- 1:58Speaker 3: Meads, so just we don't address it. Just he made
- 2:02Speaker 3: out with Jess and then but Mercedes is his girl.
- 2:05Speaker 2: So I don't know. I just feel like we're getting
- 2:08Speaker 2: incomplete stories and that doesn't feel good for me because
- 2:11Speaker 2: I'm having to make a lot of assumptions, and you know,
- 2:14Speaker 2: when I make assumptions, they typically aren't right, and so
- 2:18Speaker 2: I don't know what's happening. Anyways, let's start at the
- 2:20Speaker 2: beginning of this episode. We do come off of last
- 2:23Speaker 2: week's episode, I think, intrigued at what relationships would stay together.
- 2:29Speaker 2: We had talked during last week's episode that it felt
- 2:32Speaker 2: like most of these relationships were not strong. In fact,
- 2:34Speaker 2: we couldn't really name one that we were that confident
- 2:37Speaker 2: would be together at the end. Charity lost and does
- 2:40Speaker 2: come down to the beach, and that's when she brings
- 2:42Speaker 2: up the Aaron B situation with Eliza. Eliza is shooken
- 2:48Speaker 2: by the news, and Aaron B is confused and he
- 2:51Speaker 2: gives a very poor explanation for how this whole thing
- 2:57Speaker 2: went down. So we are left going, there's no way
- 2:59Speaker 2: this continues, like it just feels like it's on a
- 3:01Speaker 2: dead end. However, we do see and we pick up
- 3:04Speaker 2: this storyline at the first of the episode.
- 3:08Speaker 4: And it all kind of just.
- 3:12Speaker 3: It becomes not a big deal because then they kind
- 3:16Speaker 3: of admit that.
- 3:18Speaker 4: We don't know the whole story. We only have DMS
- 3:21Speaker 4: from this girl.
- 3:21Speaker 3: She's a quote disgruntled x yeah, and we can only
- 3:27Speaker 3: you know, we have two sides of the story here,
- 3:30Speaker 3: and we only know one of these people, and that
- 3:32Speaker 3: is Aaron. So eventually it seems like Charity and Eliza
- 3:39Speaker 3: both kind of say, Okay, if this is what you're saying,
- 3:43Speaker 3: then we're going to choose to believe you. But Eliza
- 3:45Speaker 3: does say like all right, I'm choosing to believe you,
- 3:50Speaker 3: but I'm also still very nervous, and I'm I'm far
- 3:53Speaker 3: more or less I'm far less confident comfortable that I
- 3:58Speaker 3: was before knowing this, because there is like a little
- 4:00Speaker 3: bit of a red flag.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Well here's my question. I have always thought Charity was amazing.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Yeah, well, obviously we love her.
- 4:09Speaker 2: Yeah, she showed great judgment, she was consistent, she was
- 4:13Speaker 2: clear and concise. My question with this is not a
- 4:18Speaker 2: criticism as much. It is me wondering if you get
- 4:22Speaker 2: home from a season and somebody has messaged you and
- 4:26Speaker 2: your family and your friends and has taken the time
- 4:29Speaker 2: to research who your family and your friends are, and
- 4:31Speaker 2: they've sent you twenty messages and all these things that
- 4:34Speaker 2: Charity is explaining to Eliza and Aaron, Yeah, why in
- 4:40Speaker 2: the world would you not go This feels like a
- 4:43Speaker 2: red flag, Like it feels like this person is out
- 4:45Speaker 2: to get Aaron. And it doesn't feel like they're like
- 4:49Speaker 2: clear of mind. It feels very disgruntled and angry.
- 4:52Speaker 4: And that's a good point.
- 4:53Speaker 2: And so why would she be bringing it up to
- 4:56Speaker 2: Kat or whoever else, Because to me, it just feels like, yeah,
- 5:00Speaker 2: this person is out for attention, maybe definitely showing signs
- 5:04Speaker 2: of being out for attention or out for some like reassurance.
- 5:08Speaker 2: But it does feel very disgruntled and a tag chaotic.
- 5:15Speaker 2: And so why would Charity say, yeah, you just need
- 5:17Speaker 2: to watch out for airon?
- 5:18Speaker 3: Yeah, why would she say anything? I don't know, because
- 5:21Speaker 3: you know what, even if Charity is wonderful, all of
- 5:23Speaker 3: us do love.
- 5:24Speaker 4: A little drama.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Well, I'm sure it's human instinct, yeah, but it does.
- 5:30Speaker 2: I think at that point, once Charity fully explained what happened,
- 5:33Speaker 2: I was like, I don't know if I could take
- 5:36Speaker 2: I don't know if I could take.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Much substance from I don't know, Yeah, I don't.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Know if I could take much substance from like what
- 5:44Speaker 2: she was saying. I just feel like I would probably
- 5:46Speaker 2: not dismiss her claims necessarily, but I'd be a lot
- 5:50Speaker 2: more confused. If she was messaging my family and friends,
- 5:53Speaker 2: I'd be like, hey, back back down a little bit,
- 5:55Speaker 2: Like you're not going to get through the.
- 5:57Speaker 4: Family and friends.
- 5:58Speaker 3: Is pretty weird because it's not like Charity ended up
- 6:02Speaker 3: with him, Like, I don't want to know the dates
- 6:05Speaker 3: of these messages. If the guy was if it was
- 6:08Speaker 3: just like wall there, she said that the phone was
- 6:10Speaker 3: away when she was getting these messages. Yeah if she yeah,
- 6:15Speaker 3: some knows. But like if she ended up with him,
- 6:18Speaker 3: then I could maybe see trying to reach out a
- 6:21Speaker 3: ton afterward and be like, Yo, you're.
- 6:24Speaker 4: With somebody who's not who they say they are.
- 6:27Speaker 3: But just just just him being on the show seems
- 6:30Speaker 3: like agrandled X type thing.
- 6:33Speaker 2: Sure, And I mean if it was over and she
- 6:35Speaker 2: was upset because it was over, again, we kind of
- 6:39Speaker 2: both agreed last week that as long as the relationship
- 6:41Speaker 2: was over, he can go on the show. I mean,
- 6:44Speaker 2: he's not doing anything wrong. If they were still together,
- 6:46Speaker 2: anyone on the show, that's a problem. It's a little weird,
- 6:48Speaker 2: a lot of weird. Yeah, But you know, I don't
- 6:51Speaker 2: think there's anything to be upset with him about. If
- 6:53Speaker 2: he went on the show to date Charity and they
- 6:56Speaker 2: ended their relationship beforehand, I don't really care if they
- 6:58Speaker 2: were dating up until the day, Like he made a
- 7:01Speaker 2: decision to leave.
- 7:02Speaker 4: You're very good with that, But I don't know.
- 7:04Speaker 2: That seems a little tacky, A little tacky, sure, I
- 7:07Speaker 2: mean probably not the way I would go about it.
- 7:09Speaker 2: But again, he made the decision to leave, and at
- 7:11Speaker 2: that point, if you're dating, you can just pretty much consider, hey,
- 7:15Speaker 2: you broke up, like yeah, and if somebody did that
- 7:17Speaker 2: to me, what I would be saying was, I'm really upset.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I think this is a really mean thing to do
- 7:22Speaker 2: to me. However, we're done, like we are moving on.
- 7:26Speaker 2: I'm hurt. I'm I'm you know, confused. I don't know
- 7:29Speaker 2: why our relationship ended like this, or that we had
- 7:31Speaker 2: no substance in this relationship to build on. But they're
- 7:35Speaker 2: gone and they went on this show and they're trying
- 7:37Speaker 2: to date this you know, really like cool lead, and
- 7:40Speaker 2: I would say it's over. I am moving on with
- 7:43Speaker 2: my life and they should too. So it feels weird
- 7:46Speaker 2: then for me to like message the lead and be like, hey,
- 7:49Speaker 2: we're dating at one point, maybe like a month before
- 7:52Speaker 2: the show, and they, you know, he told me he
- 7:55Speaker 2: loved me, and all that just feels odd. Well, Eliza
- 7:58Speaker 2: and Aaron b you know, kind of clear things up
- 8:00Speaker 2: and they're back together and he's trying hard, you can tell,
- 8:03Speaker 2: to build this relationship to the place that it was before,
- 8:06Speaker 2: because I definitely don't get the sense that it is
- 8:09Speaker 2: at a place that it once was. Maybe three days ago.
- 8:13Speaker 3: Yeah, she does say like let's sleep on this, but
- 8:15Speaker 3: then like we watch the rest of the episode, like
- 8:17Speaker 3: she sleeps on it, and she's still like with him.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Cat and John Henry are another big storyline in this episode,
- 8:33Speaker 3: because you know he is in between Kat and Olivia.
- 8:37Speaker 3: Cat's really like throwing herself at him and listen, I'm
- 8:42Speaker 3: not shocked that he ends up choosing Cat because Cat
- 8:46Speaker 3: is he's being seduced by her. I feel like Olivia is,
- 8:53Speaker 3: she's like she has more friend vibes when it comes
- 8:57Speaker 3: to John Henry and then like Cat's going around yet
- 9:00Speaker 3: I need a tongue in my mouth. So like if
- 9:02Speaker 3: you're in Paradise and you're a guy and you're not exactly.
- 9:06Speaker 4: He doesn't seem.
- 9:07Speaker 3: To be like looking for the love of his life.
- 9:09Speaker 3: That's just the vibes that he puts out, and I
- 9:12Speaker 3: think that it's probably he's just gonna want to have
- 9:14Speaker 3: a good time with Kat. Olivia is like, I really
- 9:18Speaker 3: like you.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I don't think John Henry knows what in the world
- 9:21Speaker 2: he's thinking.
- 9:22Speaker 4: He's a little spacey, right, Yeah.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I think he's just like, you know, shiny new things.
- 9:27Speaker 4: Broh.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not I don't think. I mean, he's definitely intelligent,
- 9:32Speaker 2: but I think when it comes to dating into like
- 9:35Speaker 2: all this stuff moving around him so fast and all
- 9:38Speaker 2: these voice in his head, I think he's like, oh, okay, cool,
- 9:42Speaker 2: this works right, Like I'm good with this. Because even
- 9:45Speaker 2: when he talks to Olivia and tries to clean things up,
- 9:48Speaker 2: he he's a very sweet man. He feels bad, he
- 9:52Speaker 2: feels guilty. He is like, yeah, you know, Cat, Cat
- 9:56Speaker 2: just wants to make it out there, and that sounds
- 9:58Speaker 2: fun right now. I don't know, see, I don't think
- 10:01Speaker 2: he's doing this necessarily to hurt anybody or hurt himself.
- 10:06Speaker 2: I am still very concerned that I was really hoping.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I don't know if this is evil of me. Actually,
- 10:14Speaker 2: I was really hoping. In this episode, some like new
- 10:16Speaker 2: really attractive dude walks down the beach and Kat's like, okay,
- 10:19Speaker 2: I'm going after him.
- 10:20Speaker 3: I just wanted to see her flip flop again.
- 10:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I kind of did. Is that weird?
- 10:25Speaker 3: No, it's fine. It's fun to watch. She's wild TV,
- 10:30Speaker 3: and so is Olivia. So that's why it's kind of
- 10:32Speaker 3: fun to have them pair it against each other because
- 10:35Speaker 3: they just are the best when it comes to talking.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Yeah, they're really good at it. Well, I would say
- 10:41Speaker 2: Kat is not very good at it, but she's down
- 10:44Speaker 2: to do it. Like she's going to scream about that. Yeah,
- 10:47Speaker 2: Like she's not like making great like points and she's
- 10:50Speaker 2: not closing out arguments and she's not like putting somebody
- 10:52Speaker 2: in their place. She's just down to like be really
- 10:56Speaker 2: confident in like her opinion. And it's hard to argue
- 11:00Speaker 2: with when you're like, yeah, you know, you can't. You
- 11:02Speaker 2: can't argue with that kind of stuff because it makes
- 11:05Speaker 2: no sense what she's saying. And I think she at
- 11:08Speaker 2: some point she Kat has to admit and she hasn't yet,
- 11:12Speaker 2: and it's wild to me. She has to admit that
- 11:14Speaker 2: she's just down to disrupt and cause chaos and that
- 11:16Speaker 2: she has flip flopped and that she is just like
- 11:19Speaker 2: really like okay with other people being upset with her.
- 11:22Speaker 2: She won't admit it yet on the show, but she
- 11:26Speaker 2: has to admit that that, like the theme has to
- 11:29Speaker 2: show that she is doing this.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Oh yeah, oh for sure.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Let's get to the cocktail party where we first get
- 11:38Speaker 3: news that this is so embarrassing.
- 11:41Speaker 4: That Simple was finally pooped.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Good for I'm glad.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Sorry, this is like a week later, and I know
- 11:48Speaker 3: that they dragged this out that she had pooped prior
- 11:51Speaker 3: to this moment.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Yeah, if it went two full weeks posts after, like
- 11:57Speaker 2: there's no way. And like at this point I said
- 12:00Speaker 2: it last time, Like I'm done talking about it. It's stupid,
- 12:02Speaker 2: you know, I feel bad for the girl. She has
- 12:05Speaker 2: to make jokes about it. It's just, you know, if
- 12:08Speaker 2: we have like people, you know, really popular people from
- 12:13Speaker 2: the franchise who are known for something, So this is
- 12:16Speaker 2: what she's gonna be known for. And that's just sad
- 12:17Speaker 2: to me, but good for congratulations. Everybody collaps. Everybody's like, yeah,
- 12:21Speaker 2: that makes sense. We're glad it happened she went home
- 12:23Speaker 2: to do that.
- 12:24Speaker 3: We move on, Okay, we move on to Justin Blake,
- 12:27Speaker 3: and like we said at the top of the show,
- 12:29Speaker 3: we are wondering what happened with their respective relationships last week,
- 12:35Speaker 3: the Genevie date and the kiss with Tyler, just like
- 12:40Speaker 3: it's all in now on Blake and they kind of
- 12:43Speaker 3: make it official at this cocktail party that they are
- 12:45Speaker 3: in this together, which, of course lo and behold, Katie
- 12:49Speaker 3: will walk down next week, which we've been waiting for
- 12:52Speaker 3: for freaking weeks. I think it's going to shake him up,
- 12:54Speaker 3: but I don't think it's going to do anything serious.
- 12:57Speaker 2: No, I mean I think the tea serious about his
- 13:00Speaker 2: dramatics is going to get I mean, Katie probably comes down.
- 13:04Speaker 2: I don't I don't think.
- 13:05Speaker 3: She's there to have a date card in her hand.
- 13:08Speaker 3: She did a great job conviciting us that she was
- 13:10Speaker 3: going to date.
- 13:12Speaker 2: Go then what would be the point just to shake.
- 13:14Speaker 4: Out just a freaking out.
- 13:15Speaker 2: I guess that seems weird maybe, but it does feel
- 13:21Speaker 2: like Blake and just kind of have that moment of
- 13:25Speaker 2: clarity of no, this is really good. She says like
- 13:27Speaker 2: I miss you touching me, I miss you holding me.
- 13:29Speaker 2: And then they kiss and he's like, let's I'm in
- 13:32Speaker 2: for this thing now, Like they probably needed this to
- 13:34Speaker 2: get to where they're at now. I'm actually not going
- 13:37Speaker 2: to be shocked if they end up together.
- 13:40Speaker 3: Well, they're not going to get engaged, but I think
- 13:42Speaker 3: it could be one now, but it could be one
- 13:43Speaker 3: of those relationship. Yeah, I would like to do you
- 13:47Speaker 3: want to do one hundred dollars?
- 13:51Speaker 2: That was the think, like a dollar wowsh I have
- 13:54Speaker 2: to buy Let's calm down a bit. I'm hurting these days.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Well we'll see, we'll put a bed.
- 14:03Speaker 3: He doesn't want to put a bet on it, and
- 14:04Speaker 3: well we'll bet you know what, we can bet massage
- 14:09Speaker 3: a shoulder from next time I see you.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I'm good with that. I love that.
- 14:13Speaker 3: I'm gonna win this strange of us we have. You guys,
- 14:17Speaker 3: you wouldn't understand. Ben goes around massages everybody's shoulders every
- 14:21Speaker 3: time he sees them. I'm surprised I didn't see you
- 14:22Speaker 3: rubbing shoulders this week.
- 14:24Speaker 2: It's my way of giving a hug.
- 14:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's so sweet.
- 14:27Speaker 4: He's the best at it, like the absolute best.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Yeah, that is my way of giving a hug. That
- 14:33Speaker 2: just and Blake will get engaged.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Okay, good for you.
- 14:35Speaker 2: So yeah, so we see them kind of come back together. Obviously,
- 14:40Speaker 2: that leaves Genevie in a very bad predicament because it's
- 14:44Speaker 2: so late in the night and she hasn't really focused
- 14:46Speaker 2: on anybody else, and she's just brand new to the
- 14:48Speaker 2: beach and there isn't really that many options available to
- 14:53Speaker 2: end up with, you know.
- 14:55Speaker 3: So anyways, Tanner and is kissing, and how Tanner kissed
- 15:00Speaker 3: three girls?
- 15:01Speaker 4: Was it three or four? He ends up.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Kissing he's the one that wants a tongue in his mouth.
- 15:07Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 15:09Speaker 3: So he kisses Rachel because she ends up getting his rose,
- 15:12Speaker 3: and I was like, okay, maybe I can feel this.
- 15:14Speaker 3: But he also kisses Davia and he says that that
- 15:17Speaker 3: kiss that he had with her was the most passionate
- 15:19Speaker 3: he's ever had, but that doesn't go give her the rose.
- 15:22Speaker 3: So Tanner is definitely the Bachelor of Paradise right now.
- 15:26Speaker 2: I do want to know what happens to his relationship.
- 15:28Speaker 2: He goes on a beautiful date with Davia and it
- 15:31Speaker 2: feels like those two are a couple, and yet then
- 15:33Speaker 2: all of a sudden, they're not a couple, and she
- 15:35Speaker 2: doesn't seem that upset or confused by it. I know
- 15:39Speaker 2: I would be mad, mad, so mad.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Very weird, very weird.
- 15:43Speaker 3: And then Olivia and John Henry have a conversation where
- 15:47Speaker 3: basically she says like I can't stand Cat, and then
- 15:50Speaker 3: he's trying to like break the news gently to her
- 15:53Speaker 3: that like that's unfortunate because I really like Cat.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I mean, here's a deal, Johnny.
- 16:04Speaker 3: I'm so sorry about that. It's gonna make it worse
- 16:08Speaker 3: that I'm gonna give you her the rose.
- 16:10Speaker 2: Yeah, he's just I mean, this poor dude is gonna
- 16:13Speaker 2: I mean, he is getting torn up in the cyclone
- 16:16Speaker 2: that is paradise. He is getting spun around in circles.
- 16:19Speaker 2: He's gonna get spit out in the most an opportune place.
- 16:23Speaker 2: And here's the other thing. I would agree with you earlier, Ashley,
- 16:26Speaker 2: if you're like he's just there to have a good time,
- 16:29Speaker 2: I don't think he is.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Really. Why does he feel like just surfer bro who's
- 16:33Speaker 4: just like.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Down to have fun Because he says the words to Kat,
- 16:40Speaker 2: I could see us being together after this. Do you
- 16:44Speaker 2: feel that too.
- 16:45Speaker 4: It's a weird couple.
- 16:47Speaker 2: We all know they're not gonna be we're not gonna
- 16:51Speaker 2: be together. But I think he's in it. Like, I
- 16:53Speaker 2: think he is infatuated with something that she's doing. I
- 16:57Speaker 2: think she is has him wrapped up and he is
- 17:01Speaker 2: gonna get spit out. I don't know when or how,
- 17:05Speaker 2: but I mean, I'm only basing this on the fact
- 17:07Speaker 2: that the trends so far is these dudes get wrapped
- 17:10Speaker 2: up and spit out, and then they're on the beach,
- 17:12Speaker 2: either crying or angry. And then she's moved on and
- 17:17Speaker 2: they're like lost little puppies.
- 17:31Speaker 3: Ben, I'm thinking that maybe it doesn't make sense, so
- 17:34Speaker 3: maybe it should make sense because she is such a
- 17:37Speaker 3: dominant figure.
- 17:38Speaker 4: She's going to be the dominant in every fifty shades
- 17:42Speaker 4: of krit type way.
- 17:43Speaker 3: But she's gonna be that personality in any relationship that
- 17:46Speaker 3: she's in. So maybe she needs a guy that is
- 17:49Speaker 3: more of like a whatever.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm just cool. I'm just glad to be here.
- 17:55Speaker 2: And you want my tongue down your throat because I
- 17:57Speaker 2: can do that. I can provide, I can provide that.
- 18:00Speaker 2: I got you want to you want to see my piercing.
- 18:04Speaker 4: Oh that's right. He was so into his tongue piercing.
- 18:08Speaker 3: Just it's why I kind of like hope that these
- 18:10Speaker 3: two make it into a fantasy so just so that
- 18:13Speaker 3: we can like get all the indo undo. Anyway, the
- 18:18Speaker 3: other weird thing that happens at the Rose ceremony is
- 18:21Speaker 3: that right when they're about to start, Becca, who Braiden
- 18:25Speaker 3: went on the date with last week, is nowhere to
- 18:27Speaker 3: be found.
- 18:28Speaker 2: That's such a weird scene.
- 18:30Speaker 4: We started this.
- 18:30Speaker 3: Episode being like this episode wasn't confusing at all, and
- 18:34Speaker 3: now we're realizing super confusing.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Wow, it wasn't confusing to me because the relationships on
- 18:41Speaker 2: the beach had like a little clear like vision to them,
- 18:46Speaker 2: like we knew kind of the relationships and where they
- 18:48Speaker 2: are going for the most part, other than maybe Tanner
- 18:51Speaker 2: and Davia. So the overall episode, I didn't leave being
- 18:54Speaker 2: like I feel like there was a lot there. I
- 18:56Speaker 2: don't understand. This was just weird scene for me.
- 19:02Speaker 4: You don't have any context.
- 19:04Speaker 2: She's just gone.
- 19:07Speaker 4: It's like, seriously so weird.
- 19:09Speaker 2: No, there's like Biden Like Braiden's like I don't know
- 19:12Speaker 2: what's going on either, like what like what happened here?
- 19:14Speaker 3: They say producers don't know where she went, which is
- 19:17Speaker 3: also I don't believe that, And we really just all
- 19:20Speaker 3: it happens is that Jesse comes down, and it's like
- 19:23Speaker 3: Becca left Paradise.
- 19:25Speaker 4: She said that she's afraid.
- 19:26Speaker 3: The only thing we get is like one little SoundBite
- 19:28Speaker 3: that says she's afraid.
- 19:29Speaker 4: It's not real.
- 19:30Speaker 3: With Braiden, it's like, Okay, well there's other people that
- 19:34Speaker 3: are definitely open, and there's other people that are gonna
- 19:38Speaker 3: come down. I don't know.
- 19:40Speaker 4: Maybe she was scared she was gonna get villainized, well, how.
- 19:43Speaker 2: About you stick around long enough to figure out if
- 19:45Speaker 2: it's real or not. I don't know. There's no pressure here,
- 19:48Speaker 2: you're on a bit.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I was excited because I thought that that maybe Rachel
- 19:52Speaker 3: and Braiden would get back together. I mean, yes, it's
- 19:54Speaker 3: gonna make it feel like Rachel's second place. Did you
- 19:58Speaker 3: think that without Braidon and having Beck got to give
- 20:01Speaker 3: the rose too, that he was going to give it
- 20:03Speaker 3: to Rachel. Were you surprised that it ended up her
- 20:06Speaker 3: rose came from Tanner and that Braiden's rose ended up
- 20:08Speaker 3: going to Olivia.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Did you foresee this because in my head I was.
- 20:12Speaker 3: Thinking that Tanner was probably going to pick Davia and
- 20:15Speaker 3: then the Braiden rose would go to Rachel.
- 20:18Speaker 2: Yes, and no, I think actually we didn't get the
- 20:21Speaker 2: full scene. When Tanner leans down to Braiden, he goes,
- 20:24Speaker 2: who's rose? Like, who are you giving your roast? Now?
- 20:26Speaker 2: I don't know. I bet after like, I bet like
- 20:29Speaker 2: they kind of cut there out. Yeah, I bet Braiden
- 20:31Speaker 2: was like, honestly, I'll probably give it to Olivia because
- 20:35Speaker 2: like she deserves to be around or you know, and
- 20:37Speaker 2: Tanner's like, well, I'm gonna give to Rachel and then
- 20:39Speaker 2: they're all here and you can figure this out later.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I think there was probably studia. Okay, so yeah, I
- 20:45Speaker 2: just don't think we saw that. But it was a
- 20:47Speaker 2: weird scene, and I felt like Beca was really excited
- 20:49Speaker 2: to be there because she didn't get a long period
- 20:51Speaker 2: of time on her season obviously of The Bachelor, and
- 20:56Speaker 2: so it just, you know, impact last seasons, we have
- 21:01Speaker 2: seen the struggle emotionally and mentally for people who are
- 21:05Speaker 2: on paradise, Like, I don't know if I like being here.
- 21:07Speaker 2: I feel very overwhelmed here. I kind of want to
- 21:10Speaker 2: go home. I don't think this is the place for me.
- 21:12Speaker 2: We don't see any of that with Becca. In fact,
- 21:14Speaker 2: we don't really see Becca in this date with Braiden,
- 21:16Speaker 2: and then all of a sudden, they're like, where's Becca.
- 21:18Speaker 2: My first question was, who's Becca? I don't know who
- 21:20Speaker 2: Becka is. I'm trying to figure out because we just
- 21:23Speaker 2: haven't seen it. And then she's gone, yeah, which I
- 21:29Speaker 2: don't want to add in that. Maybe possibly the show
- 21:33Speaker 2: is like, we need to figure out a way to
- 21:35Speaker 2: keep Olivia around for next week, and this is yeah.
- 21:38Speaker 4: They definitely need to keep Olivia around.
- 21:39Speaker 3: Somehow.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but Beca's gone Long Street.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Guess what. Producers don't know where you are.
- 21:45Speaker 3: Producers are there saying you gotta leave because we need
- 21:48Speaker 3: Olivia stick around.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yeah. He and Braiden are going to work out. He's yeah. Anyways,
- 21:53Speaker 2: So she's gone, which means braid now gives his rose
- 21:56Speaker 2: to Olivia, which means Olivia is able to stay for
- 21:59Speaker 2: one more week. And we're all very excited about that
- 22:01Speaker 2: because honestly, I don't know what this show is this
- 22:03Speaker 2: year because Ben.
- 22:05Speaker 4: Freaking loves her. She's so freaking she is like, she delivers.
- 22:10Speaker 5: She delivers the most she's ever delivered for me personally
- 22:14Speaker 5: when Michael walks down the stairs, because she goes from
- 22:17Speaker 5: being sad because she has this disappointing conversation the next
- 22:20Speaker 5: day after the rose ceremony with John Henry where he
- 22:25Speaker 5: was like, hey, I feel guilty and she's like, okay,
- 22:27Speaker 5: thanks for talking to me.
- 22:28Speaker 4: I hope it makes you feel less guilty.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Go ahead, back over to Kat and then all of
- 22:32Speaker 3: a sudden, this guy Michael comes down and she is
- 22:35Speaker 3: like that Michael is a good looking man. Yes, girl,
- 22:43Speaker 3: she won eighties. She's not going to get the row
- 22:45Speaker 3: she's not going to get the date card. You know this.
- 22:47Speaker 3: They leave us on this cliffhanger. Who's Michael going to
- 22:50Speaker 3: give the date card to? And you just know it's
- 22:52Speaker 3: not going to be Herdy.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Who else would say? Yes? Rachel? Maybe I don't know.
- 22:57Speaker 3: He did pull over Mercedes, which and he's not gonna
- 23:00Speaker 3: Mercedes isn't going to go because Tyler says that they're
- 23:02Speaker 3: like all in they can all see a future with
- 23:04Speaker 3: each other. But I'm also like Tyler, when you get
- 23:06Speaker 3: to tell Mercedes that you made out with Jess, he.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Probably already has. We just haven't seen it again. I
- 23:11Speaker 2: feel like there's a lot we're not seeing. I just
- 23:14Speaker 2: don't know what the show would be this year without Olivia.
- 23:16Speaker 2: I feel like she if you looked at Cat like
- 23:20Speaker 2: Bachelor data and you saw screen time, it would be
- 23:22Speaker 2: like Kat and Olivia seventy percent of the screen time
- 23:25Speaker 2: and the rest of them like thirty percent, kind of
- 23:27Speaker 2: like when they're on a date, but the rest of
- 23:29Speaker 2: the time is just the two of them either doing
- 23:31Speaker 2: the itms or trying to figure out who they're going
- 23:34Speaker 2: to date. I think Olivia has made great television. I
- 23:38Speaker 2: don't know Olivia personally, but she is.
- 23:40Speaker 4: Would you wait until she comes on the pod?
- 23:43Speaker 2: Oh, I cannot wait. It's going to be so fun.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I just want her to talk. I just want to
- 23:48Speaker 2: listen and laugh and just be like you say the
- 23:50Speaker 2: most wildly ridiculous, funny things and all of it somehow
- 23:54Speaker 2: makes sense and I don't know how you do it.
- 23:56Speaker 3: Ben, we should have her be our official fill in
- 23:59Speaker 3: or like, whenever one of us can't do the podcast,
- 24:01Speaker 3: we should always have Olivia on speed dial.
- 24:04Speaker 2: Yeah, because you know she is not afraid to say
- 24:06Speaker 2: some stuff during headlines either. I'm going to breakdown bachelor headlines. Okay,
- 24:10Speaker 2: so Michael does coming down to the beach. He is
- 24:13Speaker 2: the newcomer. He's an attractive man with great dimples. There's
- 24:18Speaker 2: not a lot of Yeah, there's not a lot of
- 24:19Speaker 2: single people on the beach. It is kind of up
- 24:21Speaker 2: to like Olivia and rachel On who maybe would be interested.
- 24:26Speaker 2: I feel like at this point, going on to day,
- 24:27Speaker 2: I think everybody else for the most part, has at
- 24:31Speaker 2: this point in the season said no, let's either let's
- 24:33Speaker 2: give this a go with the person I'm with or
- 24:36Speaker 2: if this doesn't work, I'm probably done here. So yeah,
- 24:40Speaker 2: they can tease us, I do think Olivia goes on
- 24:42Speaker 2: this date, because I just don't. He never pulled Rachel.
- 24:45Speaker 2: We never saw it. And so if he asks Rachel
- 24:47Speaker 2: old Mercedes, Yeah, but I mean I think I don't
- 24:51Speaker 2: think Mercedes goes. I don't think Kylie will go with him.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Who we saw him pull as well.
- 24:55Speaker 4: Oh it was Kylie who was pulled.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Both they both pulled. Oh yeah, well, and so I
- 25:01Speaker 2: just don't think either of them are going on a date.
- 25:04Speaker 2: And so, you know, the only other person we saw
- 25:06Speaker 2: him talk to is Olivia. So if he pulls anybody
- 25:07Speaker 2: other than Lyvia, it's gonna be very confusing for the
- 25:09Speaker 2: audience because they're like, so you talked to three girls
- 25:12Speaker 2: and you didn't like any of them, and so you're
- 25:14Speaker 2: just going with the next best option.
- 25:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and you wanted to take one that wasn't available.
- 25:19Speaker 3: All right, Hopefully Olivia gets the date. The other big
- 25:22Speaker 3: tease that we have for next week is the fact
- 25:25Speaker 3: that Katie comes down and we did touch on it recently,
- 25:28Speaker 3: but she says something to Blake that is heavy, or
- 25:31Speaker 3: so it seems when clipped up the way we see it.
- 25:34Speaker 4: She goes, if I could go back and redo it
- 25:37Speaker 4: all I would.
- 25:41Speaker 3: I think my theory is that she feels really guilty
- 25:44Speaker 3: about how things ended, and I don't think it was
- 25:47Speaker 3: the happiest of splits. I think that there's rumors that
- 25:52Speaker 3: like she kind of blindsided him, that their breakup was
- 25:56Speaker 3: when they're away from each other.
- 25:58Speaker 4: Maybe he was in Africa.
- 26:00Speaker 3: Maybe I'm making things up, but I think that what
- 26:02Speaker 3: she's gonna go and redo is just like the ending
- 26:05Speaker 3: of their relationship, and she feels bad and that's for
- 26:07Speaker 3: the first time they're talking in two years.
- 26:09Speaker 2: I'd love to see it. I just I'm I'm kind
- 26:11Speaker 2: of in this season of life where I just love breakups,
- 26:14Speaker 2: rekindling and getting on in a good place. I'm a
- 26:16Speaker 2: big fan of watching him happen right in front of
- 26:18Speaker 2: my eyes. It's great, it's really fun. Hey, we still
- 26:22Speaker 2: haven't seen Ashley. It's kind of been like disappeared. We
- 26:25Speaker 2: still have a wedding supposedly in Paradise. Do we have
- 26:28Speaker 2: any better idea of who this is gonna be? I know, no,
- 26:32Speaker 2: it was teased like, wh who are these people?
- 26:35Speaker 1: Are?
- 26:35Speaker 2: Just like a random wedding now or.
- 26:37Speaker 4: The longest season?
- 26:39Speaker 3: So like we might have we have weeks left I
- 26:43Speaker 3: feel I feel like we have at least three weeks
- 26:45Speaker 3: left of show, so who knows how these things might evolve,
- 26:51Speaker 3: and who knows, maybe just a random ass wedding on
- 26:54Speaker 3: the beach. It's a date dumble across it. I know
- 26:57Speaker 3: it's gonna be like that prom date. You know, It's
- 26:59Speaker 3: like there had Van Donta and it's like, oh my god,
- 27:01Speaker 3: a wedding.
- 27:03Speaker 4: I imagine getting married to you right next to me.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's that. I mean, there are rumors
- 27:09Speaker 2: that it was Gary, but I'm like, Gary season hadn't
- 27:11Speaker 2: even filmed yet, so it's not Gary. Yeah, like it
- 27:15Speaker 2: was after like this faradest filmed a long time ago,
- 27:17Speaker 2: so who knows. Anyways, We'll be back next week with
- 27:20Speaker 2: another breakdown of Bachelor in Paradise. Hey, this week we
- 27:22Speaker 2: have some really cool stuff. We had Rodney Matthews join
- 27:25Speaker 2: us for headlines and we also did an in depth
- 27:27Speaker 2: with Rodney. We're gonna still do the Golden Bachelor breakdown,
- 27:31Speaker 2: so it's a big week of podcasts but also a
- 27:33Speaker 2: really great week of podcasts. Rodney opens up about his
- 27:37Speaker 2: new relationship and so the big question there that I
- 27:40Speaker 2: think everyone's answer is, is it the real dealer or
- 27:42Speaker 2: not so Tune into our episode to get all the
- 27:44Speaker 2: details on his new relationship and where they're at currently
- 27:48Speaker 2: and what he sees as a future for the two
- 27:50Speaker 2: of them. But until next time, I've been Ben, I've
- 27:55Speaker 2: been Ashley.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Bye, guys, we love you. You're the best.
- 27:58Speaker 3: Thank you so much for listening to our voices all
- 28:01Speaker 3: the time. When you come up to us and you're like,
- 28:03Speaker 3: hell the podcast, I'm like.
- 28:05Speaker 4: You listen to my voice.
- 28:06Speaker 3: That's the kindest of things. And I'm gonna start screeching now.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Bye.
