SPEAKER_00: and quite a lot of them aren't commonly used and aren't that relevant in modern

SPEAKER_00: But I want to talk about a few of the ones that you're more likely to hear about

SPEAKER_00: those will be the part of fortune or fortuna,

SPEAKER_00: as you might hear it called sometimes,

SPEAKER_00: and the less commonly used,

SPEAKER_00: but I think kind of fun,

SPEAKER_00: I don't think I'm going to start with the part of fortune and see where we end up.

SPEAKER_00: depending on how deep I end up getting into all of this.

SPEAKER_00: But the Arabian parts are very old, first of all.

SPEAKER_00: They date back to, I think, at least back to the first century or maybe even before that.

SPEAKER_00: And they are mathematically calculated sensitive points that were commonly used by

SPEAKER_00: ancient astrologers in Babylonia,

SPEAKER_00: and other places,

SPEAKER_00: and then later integrated by the Greeks into Hellenistic astrology.

SPEAKER_00: They're typically found by making mathematical calculations that synthesize the

SPEAKER_00: You used to have to know the mathematical formula and start counting the degrees on

SPEAKER_00: Now, starting with the part of fortune, because that's mostly what I want to focus on today.
