- 0:10Speaker 1: Hi, everybody, Welcome to a bonus episode of Girls Gone Hallmark,
- 0:14Speaker 1: a bonus episode from Long Story Short the podcast. I'm Megan,
- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm Wendy, and today we have a surprise part two
- 0:22Speaker 1: of our Countdown to Christmas preview special because yesterday Hallmark
- 0:27Speaker 1: dropped the full lineup of their Countdown to Christmas movies,
- 0:32Speaker 1: not a moment too soon, the day before their movies launch,
- 0:37Speaker 1: and so we are here with our thoughts on the
- 0:40Speaker 1: rest of the lineup.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Yeah, just a quick rundown of the additional movies they added.
- 0:47Speaker 2: We finally have titles, we finally have casts, we finally
- 0:51Speaker 2: have a synopsis. So yeah, I'm excited. Got to tell you,
- 0:54Speaker 2: I've looked at every single one of them and I
- 0:56Speaker 2: don't know who I am this year because I'm like,
- 0:58Speaker 2: that one sounds good, that one sounds good, that one
- 1:00Speaker 2: sounds good. Yeah, we're in trouble, Megan, We are in trouble.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Indeed, So we went through the first three weeks of
- 1:07Speaker 1: movies because that's what we knew about. So if we
- 1:10Speaker 1: would love it, if you would give that episode a listen.
- 1:12Speaker 1: But we're gonna jump right in. I think we should
- 1:14Speaker 1: jump right in with Friday November twelfth, open by Christmas.
- 1:19Speaker 1: All right. This stars Alison Sweeney Sammy from Days of
- 1:22Speaker 1: Our Lives, Erica Durant from Smallville, Brennan Elliott from Christmas
- 1:26Speaker 1: in Vienna. You like Brendan Elliott? Am I correct? I can't.
- 1:31Speaker 2: The name sounds familiar, but I can't place the face
- 1:34Speaker 2: right now.
- 1:34Speaker 1: I think maybe I was thinking of Brendan Penny. Oh,
- 1:37Speaker 1: I like him.
- 1:38Speaker 2: I'm looking him up. Oh, I recognized his face. He
- 1:40Speaker 2: was in Unreal.
- 1:43Speaker 1: Oh, I like him.
- 1:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I totally recognize his face. I can't remember what
- 1:48Speaker 2: else he's been in.
- 1:51Speaker 1: How funny.
- 1:52Speaker 2: There's a Google search that says people also ask is
- 1:55Speaker 2: Brennan Elliott nice? Oh that's so interesting, right, very interesting?
- 2:02Speaker 1: Oh my gosh.
- 2:02Speaker 2: And we have like almost the same birthday.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Too funny, So I'm exciting, all right, okay, all right.
- 2:09Speaker 1: The synopsis for this movie reads, when Nikki finds an
- 2:12Speaker 1: unopen Christmas card from a high school secret admirer, she
- 2:16Speaker 1: and her best friend Simone search to find and thank
- 2:18Speaker 1: the anonymous author. I think we briefly discussed this movie
- 2:23Speaker 1: in our first recaps. Yeah, I didn't have a release date.
- 2:30Speaker 1: My thought then and my thought now is I'm into
- 2:32Speaker 1: this secret admirer search me too, totally.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I'm not into searching to find and thank the anonymous author. Yeah,
- 2:41Speaker 2: like thank them.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yeah, let's say let's for admiring me.
- 2:45Speaker 2: Yeah, let's get some like I don't know, hot romance
- 2:48Speaker 2: vibes happening.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm excited. I'm looking forward to this one. Yeah.
- 2:52Speaker 1: Is there a gift in the card? Is that why
- 2:54Speaker 1: you feel the necessary? It's necessary to say thank you? Hey?
- 2:57Speaker 1: What's next? I have on the list?
- 2:59Speaker 2: My Christmas Family Tree premiere Saturday, November thirteenth, starring Amy
- 3:04Speaker 2: Tea Garden, Andrew Walker, and James Tupper. Now, Amy Tea
- 3:10Speaker 2: Garden was in what I feel is was the worst
- 3:13Speaker 2: movie of twenty twenty one. I don't remember the name
- 3:17Speaker 2: of it, but they did a like an ice Cold Swim.
- 3:20Speaker 1: It was a New Year's resolution.
- 3:22Speaker 2: I hated that movie with all my being.
- 3:27Speaker 1: I think she's most recognizable from her role on Friday
- 3:30Speaker 1: Night Lights. I enjoyed that movie quite a bit. I
- 3:33Speaker 1: like her. I think she's adorable. So I knew you
- 3:37Speaker 1: were gonna have some thoughts, But I have some thoughts
- 3:40Speaker 1: on the synopsis, So why don't you read it? Okay?
- 3:43Speaker 2: When Vanessa receives the results from her family tree DNA test.
- 3:47Speaker 2: You know, I am laughing. She discovers a family she
- 3:50Speaker 2: didn't know existed and travels to their home for Christmas.
- 3:54Speaker 1: So, without saying who, let me just say that I
- 3:57Speaker 1: know someone who did a similar DNA test and discovered many, many,
- 4:02Speaker 1: many siblings, and so I always find these stories amusing. However,
- 4:09Speaker 1: this storyline was similarly done last year in Love Lights Hanka. Yes, yes, exactly,
- 4:16Speaker 1: the actor the woman discover she has this family. I
- 4:21Speaker 1: remember having a number of complaints about that movie. I
- 4:25Speaker 1: can't remember a single one of them, but you could
- 4:26Speaker 1: go get We did recap that episode on Girls Gotten Homework,
- 4:29Speaker 1: So I hope that they don't just reinvent the wheel
- 4:33Speaker 1: on this one.
- 4:34Speaker 2: Yeah, this is like the non Hanukkah movie they just
- 4:38Speaker 2: transferred the story to.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah whatever.
- 4:41Speaker 2: But it also stars Andrew Walker, who I.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Think is quite handsome. Yes, I can't remember why he
- 4:48Speaker 1: was in this year though the Twenty seven Hour Day.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Oh I love that movie. Who am I I love
- 4:55Speaker 2: that movie. I really like that movie a lot, and
- 4:57Speaker 2: I like Andrew Walker. So excited about Amy T Garden. Sorry,
- 5:02Speaker 2: but I definitely probably will watch this.
- 5:05Speaker 1: Movie next up Sunday, November nineteenth. A Holiday in Harlem No,
- 5:12Speaker 1: November fourteenth. Yeah, that's all right. It stars Olivia Washington,
- 5:17Speaker 1: Will Adams, and Tina Lifford.
- 5:21Speaker 2: I just don't know who any of these people are.
- 5:26Speaker 1: No, Olivia Washington. As soon as you see her, I
- 5:28Speaker 1: believe you will recognize her. But this is a new
- 5:34Speaker 1: cast to me. Oh my gosh.
- 5:36Speaker 2: She is the daughter of Denzel Washington.
- 5:38Speaker 1: No, I did not yet that.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I didn't know that either. She's
- 5:44Speaker 2: on the red carpet with her dad. Very beautiful girl.
- 5:48Speaker 2: I don't think I've ever seen her in anything. I'm
- 5:53Speaker 2: excited for it.
- 5:55Speaker 1: Well, I do believe that Will Adams might be a
- 6:00Speaker 1: very big newcomer, because here we go. He has two
- 6:04Speaker 1: credits on IMDb. He's in Omacasse and he's in The Oval.
- 6:09Speaker 1: But I believe in The Oval he was crew, not cast,
- 6:15Speaker 1: so this may be his first acting role. He's very handsome,
- 6:19Speaker 1: maybe not so fun. Side note. A Holiday in Harlem
- 6:22Speaker 1: was filmed in Hartford, Connecticut. Oh that's interesting. The Yeah,
- 6:29Speaker 1: there were some photos. Harlem is a pretty distinct has
- 6:32Speaker 1: a pretty distinctive look. I don't think Hartford looks like Harlem,
- 6:36Speaker 1: but you know, they do some real tight shots. It'll
- 6:38Speaker 1: be interesting to see what they do. There's another movie
- 6:41Speaker 1: that has a disappointing filming location. We'll get to that
- 6:44Speaker 1: in a minute, but the synopsis is. After her grandmother,
- 6:47Speaker 1: Mama Bell, turns away her usual gift delivery, expecting presence
- 6:52Speaker 1: over presence, Jet setting executive, Jasmine heads uptown to Harlem
- 6:56Speaker 1: for a quick visit. However, when Mama Bell is injured,
- 7:00Speaker 1: Jasmine agrees to stay in the neighborhood and take over
- 7:03Speaker 1: co chairing their blocks annual Christmas jamboree with her old
- 7:06Speaker 1: best friend Caleb, A successful corporate fixer, Jasmine expects the
- 7:11Speaker 1: job to be easy, but quickly finds that she has
- 7:13Speaker 1: a lot to learn about the community and her heart. Hm.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Does corporate fixer give you like Olivia Pope vibes? No?
- 7:22Speaker 1: What was that show on maybe HBO with Kristin Bell
- 7:27Speaker 1: and Don Cheatle.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I know what you're talking about.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Was she a fixer too? I think that was their
- 7:36Speaker 1: their role? Super irreverentd like super raunchy show. But yeah,
- 7:42Speaker 1: how do you what's your first impression of this movie?
- 7:44Speaker 1: This feels like the standard Hallmark going home to your family,
- 7:52Speaker 1: being stuck there with a little bit of a big
- 7:55Speaker 1: city as opposed to small town twist. She says, heads uptown,
- 8:02Speaker 1: so it doesn't feel like she's going far, like perhaps
- 8:04Speaker 1: she lives in Manhattan. I actually don't know geographically where
- 8:08Speaker 1: Harlem is in relation to the rest of the city.
- 8:11Speaker 1: I apologize, I don't know. I mean, this does not
- 8:13Speaker 1: feel like a new storyline to me, no at all,
- 8:18Speaker 1: And the presence over presence. My initial reaction is like,
- 8:24Speaker 1: don't make demands all my time, even during the holidays.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Kind of jerk, but you know, don't tell me what
- 8:30Speaker 1: to do. Yeah, I certainly know people who are like, oh,
- 8:35Speaker 1: just just I would like to see you more give
- 8:37Speaker 1: me that gift during the hirk No during the holiday time.
- 8:42Speaker 1: That's really hard. Yeah, all right, let's move on.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Nan tecket Nowell premieres Friday, November nineteenth, starring Trevor Donovan,
- 8:52Speaker 2: Whoa and Sarah Power. I like Trevor Donovan a lot.
- 8:57Speaker 2: I don't know who Sarah Power is.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Wherever Donovant is deeply pretty so pretty. It was true
- 9:04Speaker 1: for the Win that skiing movie, which I liked. Yes, yeah,
- 9:08Speaker 1: Sarah Powers in The Goodwitch, but she's only in the
- 9:11Speaker 1: last season I believe of the show. My daughter and
- 9:14Speaker 1: I like The good Witch on Hallmark. There's actually several
- 9:17Speaker 1: good Witch stars starring in kind Ona Christmas movies. But
- 9:22Speaker 1: the most disappointing thing about this movie for me is
- 9:25Speaker 1: that a movie called Nantucket Noel was filmed in Canada
- 9:30Speaker 1: as opposed to Nantucket. Yes, now it was film seaside.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Trevor Dnovan posted some photos and he was like, can
- 9:38Speaker 1: you guess where we are? I mean, it was filmed
- 9:40Speaker 1: on the water, But there aren't many places in the
- 9:44Speaker 1: country that I or in the world really that I
- 9:47Speaker 1: want to live. Nantucket, having never been there, is one
- 9:50Speaker 1: of those places that in another life I would have
- 9:54Speaker 1: wanted to live year round, not just during the summer.
- 9:58Speaker 1: So I don't know. It just makes me sad that
- 10:02Speaker 1: it's not film there. All right, Let's get to the synopsis. Yeah.
- 10:06Speaker 2: During the seaside Noel celebrations, Kristin learns of a developer
- 10:09Speaker 2: who is planning to tear down the wharf that is
- 10:12Speaker 2: home to her toy store. Tensions rise as she falls
- 10:15Speaker 2: forward the developer's son Andy.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Once again, this is not a news storyline. I just
- 10:23Speaker 1: watched last year, an older movie where it was this
- 10:26Speaker 1: bookstore the woman fell in love with the developer son
- 10:30Speaker 1: and he tries to fight to save the store, and
- 10:33Speaker 1: the dad's like, you gotta put business before pleasure. But
- 10:38Speaker 1: I enjoy Trevor Donovan and I like the Nantucket idea,
- 10:42Speaker 1: so I could be here for this, Okay, all right,
- 10:45Speaker 1: all right, which I'll tune in for Trevor Donovan. Yeah,
- 10:50Speaker 1: next Saturday, November twentieth, A Christmas Together with You stars
- 10:55Speaker 1: Harry Lennox, Laura Vandervoort, and Neill mad Her. The synopsis
- 11:03Speaker 1: is during the Christmas season, Megan and her father figure Frank,
- 11:07Speaker 1: head out on a road trip to find his long
- 11:09Speaker 1: lost love. Along the way, Megan finds the love of
- 11:12Speaker 1: her own life. Oh, I kind of like a road trip.
- 11:17Speaker 1: I like a road trip. We're gonna get lots of
- 11:19Speaker 1: green screens.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Oh no, those have been so bad during the fall
- 11:26Speaker 2: the fall season.
- 11:27Speaker 1: So there's a TikToker I follow. I believe his TikTok
- 11:31Speaker 1: name is David on Set, and he films a lot
- 11:34Speaker 1: of Hallmark and Hallmark style movies. And he posted a
- 11:36Speaker 1: video recently of a sound stage with the car, and
- 11:39Speaker 1: he was like, driving scenes are never actually driving? Almost never,
- 11:43Speaker 1: is what he said, So there's some intel on that one.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Laura Vanderbert was in playing Cupid this year.
- 11:49Speaker 3: M hm.
- 11:50Speaker 1: They credit and me all matter with the movie Country
- 11:52Speaker 1: at Heart, but we will remember him better from Never
- 11:57Speaker 1: Kiss a Man on a Christmas Sweater. Oh no, oh,
- 12:01Speaker 1: that's a bit of a strike against this movie. Start.
- 12:06Speaker 1: But I believe that the biggest problem with Never Kiss
- 12:08Speaker 1: a Man in a Christmas Sweater was it's writing, not
- 12:11Speaker 1: its acting. So I think I'm gonna give this movie
- 12:14Speaker 1: another chance.
- 12:15Speaker 2: I like the father daughter elli bit here, and you
- 12:18Speaker 2: like that the girl's name is Megan.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Well, sure do spelled correctly. But this next movie I'm
- 12:25Speaker 1: so excited about. Go ahead and tell us about it
- 12:28Speaker 1: on my list. It's a Kiss before Christmas? Is that
- 12:30Speaker 1: what you have? Okay?
- 12:31Speaker 2: We had talked briefly about this in our last preview episode.
- 12:37Speaker 2: We talked about Terry Hatcher. Yes, okay, but I didn't
- 12:41Speaker 2: know who was starring with her, James Denton or Mary
- 12:45Speaker 2: Lou Henner.
- 12:45Speaker 1: Are you excited about? Okay? Well, hold on, I interrupted
- 12:49Speaker 1: you start from being.
- 12:51Speaker 2: A Kiss before Christmas premieres Sunday, November twenty First stars
- 12:55Speaker 2: James Denton, Terry Hatcher, and Mary Lou Henner. Do you
- 13:01Speaker 2: want me to read the synopsis first?
- 13:02Speaker 1: Sure?
- 13:03Speaker 2: When nice guy Ethan casually wishes his life had taken
- 13:08Speaker 2: a different course, Oh, is this a Dickens story? He
- 13:11Speaker 2: wakes up the next day to find nothing is the same.
- 13:14Speaker 2: He's not married to his wife Joyce, he doesn't have
- 13:17Speaker 2: two teenaged kids, and he's CEO of his company. And
- 13:23Speaker 2: that doesn't make sense. He's CEO compared to what.
- 13:26Speaker 1: I don't know? All right.
- 13:27Speaker 2: If he wants to reclaim his original life and the
- 13:30Speaker 2: family he loves, he must convince Joyce he's telling the
- 13:33Speaker 2: truth and win her over. And he only has until
- 13:36Speaker 2: Christmas Day. I mean, this has Wolf written.
- 13:40Speaker 1: All over it. Oh why are you excited about? First
- 13:43Speaker 1: of all, James Denton and Terry Hatcher together again? They
- 13:46Speaker 1: were on Desperate Housewives. Yes, he played her husband and
- 13:50Speaker 1: then her ex husband and okay, I believe her husband again.
- 13:52Speaker 1: He also has was in every season of The Good Witch,
- 13:56Speaker 1: which again is a show that I really enjoy. I
- 13:58Speaker 1: like him on that show. This movie has click vibes
- 14:02Speaker 1: on it for me. Have you seen click with Adam Sandler. No,
- 14:05Speaker 1: Kate Beckhamsale. Oh oh, I've seen it many times. My
- 14:08Speaker 1: husband loves that movie, probably watches it once a year.
- 14:11Speaker 1: It feels very much the same, and I'm into it.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to this movie very much.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Well, I will say that I kind of like that
- 14:20Speaker 2: it has a more mature leading lady and man. Yeah,
- 14:27Speaker 2: as opposed to you know, like Hallmark's Hotties, right right,
- 14:31Speaker 2: I mean I want to see a preview. I want
- 14:34Speaker 2: to see a preview and then we'll see, okay, the
- 14:38Speaker 2: next movie. I'm not watching next movie.
- 14:41Speaker 1: Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November twenty fifth, The Nine Kittens of Christmas.
- 14:45Speaker 1: We've already discussed this movie. It stars Brandon Routh, Kimberly,
- 14:49Speaker 1: Sustad and Gregory Harrison. Kat lovers, Zachary and Merrily are
- 14:53Speaker 1: thrown back together at Christmas when they're tasked with finding
- 14:56Speaker 1: homes for a litter of adorable kittens. We have, Like
- 15:00Speaker 1: I said, discuss this. This is the second movie. The
- 15:04Speaker 1: original was The Nine Lives of Christmas. I do believe
- 15:08Speaker 1: this movie was placed on Thanksgiving to bury it deep,
- 15:14Speaker 1: deeply in the lineup. It's it's a throwaway. But that said,
- 15:22Speaker 1: we move into the next section, which they are calling
- 15:26Speaker 1: Mary Thanksgiving Weekend. Last year, Hallmark released a new movie
- 15:31Speaker 1: every single day of Thanksgiving Week Monday through Sunday. This year,
- 15:35Speaker 1: they're releasing two movies Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Did you
- 15:40Speaker 1: notice anything about this lineup? No? Not really. So there's
- 15:45Speaker 1: a movie at six pm Eastern, in a movie at
- 15:47Speaker 1: eight pm Eastern and okay, eight pm movies are big
- 15:53Speaker 1: Hallmark guns, big names over all of them. I see
- 15:56Speaker 1: ex PM movies could go either way. I see it, yes,
- 16:00Speaker 1: so jump into the first one. The first one is
- 16:05Speaker 1: Christmas Ceo premierees Friday, November twenty six.
- 16:08Speaker 2: This is the six o'clock movie. Stars Marisol Nichols and
- 16:12Speaker 2: Paul Green. Have no idea who either of those two are.
- 16:16Speaker 2: A small toy company ceo Whoe another toy company movie,
- 16:21Speaker 2: gets a once in a lifetime offer to merge with
- 16:24Speaker 2: a mega toy company, but will need her estranged ex
- 16:28Speaker 2: business partner's signature to seal the deal. What he helps
- 16:33Speaker 2: her rediscover will change both of their lives. This doesn't
- 16:40Speaker 2: excite me at all one bit.
- 16:42Speaker 1: I'm not excited about it. This doesn't feel unique to me. Yeah,
- 16:46Speaker 1: I would agree. I'm not super excited. I unfortunately don't
- 16:48Speaker 1: know anything about either of these actors other than their photos.
- 16:53Speaker 1: All right, so let's move on to the big gun
- 16:54Speaker 1: movie Friday, number twenty six. This might be the movie
- 16:58Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to the most three. An Unexpected Christmas
- 17:03Speaker 1: stars Bethany joy Lenz and Tyler Hines. And I sent
- 17:08Speaker 1: Wendy a picture from the set of An Unexpected Christmas
- 17:13Speaker 1: and tell me what the first thing you noticed was,
- 17:16Speaker 1: Oh my god, his hair is so much better. Tyler
- 17:19Speaker 1: Hines got to makeover. He's no longer rocking that Eddie
- 17:22Speaker 1: Munster hair long slicked back.
- 17:25Speaker 2: Yes, he's got a short cut now.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Almost like that little fauxhawk spike in the front. I'm
- 17:32Speaker 1: so into it. This has the shortest synopsis of the bunch.
- 17:36Speaker 1: A writer convinces his ex girlfriend to pose as a
- 17:39Speaker 1: couple for Christmas. Again, this is a classic Hallmark trope.
- 17:44Speaker 1: Let's pretend we're in a relationship. Who knows the reason.
- 17:48Speaker 1: I don't care. I would watch two hours of Tyler
- 17:50Speaker 1: Hines doing anything here for it. Me too.
- 17:53Speaker 2: And I love Bethany joy Lynz as well. Yeah from
- 17:58Speaker 2: Wintree Hill, which I know you've never watched, so I'm
- 18:01Speaker 2: very excited, very very very excited, especially with his makeover.
- 18:06Speaker 1: I will watch this.
- 18:06Speaker 2: I don't even care what it's about, so here for it.
- 18:11Speaker 1: Yeah, so excited. Okay.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Next up, Making Spirits Bright, which was promoted during the
- 18:19Speaker 2: last Taylor Cole movie which Meghan hated, South Beach Love It,
- 18:25Speaker 2: premiere's Saturday, September twenty seventh.
- 18:27Speaker 1: This is the six PM.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Movie Taylor Cole Carlo Marx, the son and daughter of
- 18:33Speaker 2: rival holiday decorating families, help mend their father's decade old feud,
- 18:39Speaker 2: finding romance along the way as they compete in the
- 18:41Speaker 2: town's holiday decorating contest.
- 18:44Speaker 1: I kind of like it, really, I mean, I.
- 18:48Speaker 2: Like a baking competition, So there's that. I like Taylor Cole.
- 18:52Speaker 1: She's so beautiful. I don't know Carlo Marx is. Let
- 18:56Speaker 1: me look. He's in chest Peak Shores, which we said
- 18:58Speaker 1: we were gonna watch. I said, I read it. I
- 19:00Speaker 1: watched about four minutes of the pilot.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I don't know who this guy is. He's been in Smallville,
- 19:05Speaker 2: Pretty Little Liars, and Chesapeake Shore. I may just watch
- 19:09Speaker 2: the two fers all of Thanksgiving weekend.
- 19:12Speaker 1: So all right, Next up, we have Saturday, November twenty seventh.
- 19:17Speaker 1: The Christmas at Castle Heart stars Lacey Shebert and Stuart Townsend,
- 19:23Speaker 1: and the synopsis reads, Brooke Bennett goes to Ireland for
- 19:26Speaker 1: Christmas to search for her Irish roots. While there, she
- 19:29Speaker 1: meets Aiden Hart, Earl of Glaslow. Mistaken for an elite
- 19:33Speaker 1: event planner, she's hired to host this castle's epic Christmas party.
- 19:36Speaker 1: We talked about this in our first preview. I'm here
- 19:40Speaker 1: for it. I will watch any movie set in Ireland.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Lacey Shabert was in one of my favorite movies of
- 19:48Speaker 1: twenty twenty, of Christmas Waltz. I am excited for it.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Okay, I'm excited they filmed it in Ireland, right, Yes,
- 19:57Speaker 2: I think that's the notes we had from the previous
- 19:59Speaker 2: pre episode we did. And Stuart Townsend is an actual irishman.
- 20:05Speaker 2: I'm excited. I'll watch that one.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Mm hmm. Okay, I'm really excited for this next one. Okay.
- 20:12Speaker 2: Christmas in Tahoe premier Sunday, November twenty eighth, at six pm,
- 20:17Speaker 2: Also written by Nina Weyman, stars Laura how do you
- 20:24Speaker 2: say her last name? Austina's Yeah, A little bit of
- 20:27Speaker 2: controversy with this actress, Kyle Cligg, Pat Pat, Pat Monahan,
- 20:33Speaker 2: and George Lopez. Now is this George Lopez the actor comedian,
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yes it is, and Pat Monahan is the singer from Train,
- 20:43Speaker 2: Yes Okay. To save her family's hotels Christmas show talent
- 20:47Speaker 2: booker Claire must ask to help. I'm sorry, must ask
- 20:52Speaker 2: for help from her ex boyfriend, Ryan, the lead guitarist
- 20:54Speaker 2: of a now famous band that fired her as the
- 20:57Speaker 2: manager years ago. Listen, if Pat is going to sing
- 21:01Speaker 2: Christmas songs, I love it, I love him, I love Train.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Nino Wineman writes good movies that I typically like.
- 21:12Speaker 1: I'm excited for it. This is a plot remake. There
- 21:17Speaker 1: was a very similar movie with a similar like Gotta
- 21:21Speaker 1: save the Hotel. The Hotel show can't happen. Oh my
- 21:26Speaker 1: ex boyfriend happens to be here. Oh he happens to
- 21:29Speaker 1: play an instrument. Let's make the show happen with the
- 21:32Speaker 1: two of us. It's a little bit different. I believe
- 21:35Speaker 1: in that other movie there was more of like a
- 21:36Speaker 1: classical element to the musicians. Obviously, Pat Monahan is pop.
- 21:41Speaker 1: I'm here for that. I'm curious to see George Lopez's
- 21:44Speaker 1: role but yes, I will watch Pat Monahan saying Christmas music.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Indeed, Yeah, George Lopez has really thrown me for a movie.
- 21:53Speaker 2: But all right, And I don't know who Kyle Selig is.
- 21:58Speaker 2: I have no idea. He was in a movie called
- 22:00Speaker 2: The Real Housewives of the North Pole.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Have you ever seen that?
- 22:05Speaker 2: Oh it's post production. That means it's coming out sometimes
- 22:08Speaker 2: this year Sun Channel. I might have to watch that.
- 22:12Speaker 1: Oh, it's like a baby. It's a lifetime movie. Child.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Oh my goodness. Okay, here it is the Biggie go
- 22:20Speaker 1: for it. Sunday, November twenty eighth, at eight pm. The
- 22:24Speaker 1: Christmas Contest, starring Candace Cameron, Beret, John Brotherton, and Barbara
- 22:29Speaker 1: Niven exes Lara and Ben. Laura and Ben compete in
- 22:35Speaker 1: a Christmas contest to win money for the charity of
- 22:37Speaker 1: their choosing. The city watches the battle and choose what
- 22:41Speaker 1: is more important, victory or love again. We briefly touch
- 22:45Speaker 1: on this in the first episode. John Brotherton plays Matt
- 22:49Speaker 1: on Fuller House. He's a super cutie. We already know
- 22:53Speaker 1: that they have good chemistry and good banter. I hope
- 22:56Speaker 1: that translates to the Hallmark screen. I'm into it.
- 23:01Speaker 2: Do you think this is another one of those movies?
- 23:03Speaker 2: Whether he was like, hey, Cameron, can you put me
- 23:05Speaker 2: in one of your Hallmark movies? Like you know whatever?
- 23:08Speaker 2: That guy's name is from Wan Pablo. Yeah, I mean probably,
- 23:12Speaker 2: but I think it says something that they're starring alongside
- 23:15Speaker 2: each other.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Mm hmm, yeah that's you.
- 23:18Speaker 2: I mean, this can't be it. It can't be terrible, right.
- 23:22Speaker 2: I loved last year's Candice Cameron. Did I call her
- 23:27Speaker 2: Cameron earlier?
- 23:29Speaker 1: But people call them maybe?
- 23:31Speaker 3: Like?
- 23:31Speaker 2: Okay, all right, anyway, I loved her Christmas movie last year.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I loved it so much, so I hope this one
- 23:38Speaker 1: is good.
- 23:39Speaker 2: And her one before that.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Was good too. Write the shoe Attics Christmas. Yeah, that's
- 23:46Speaker 1: a cute one. She's she's she's good in these movies.
- 23:48Speaker 1: I enjoy her. Okay, I know we have other personal
- 23:52Speaker 1: feelings about her, but indeed I like her the actress
- 23:57Speaker 1: Stay in your lane SEECB. Is that what we're gonna
- 24:02Speaker 1: call her now? CZB Okay, all right, all right? Next
- 24:06Speaker 1: up is.
- 24:07Speaker 2: The I think one and only Hanukkah movie eight. You're right,
- 24:12Speaker 2: eight Gifts of Hankkah Friday.
- 24:14Speaker 1: December third, Get like make some effort, all right.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Starring In bar Levi and Jake Epstein, a woman journeys
- 24:25Speaker 2: to find her secret admirer during Hanukkah. I mean, didn't
- 24:29Speaker 2: we have a secret admirer already?
- 24:31Speaker 1: Movie? I don't know they need more Hanukkah movies. Yeah,
- 24:39Speaker 1: and I here for the Honka movies. I just sometimes
- 24:41Speaker 1: feel like they're like, let's take this storyline but make
- 24:44Speaker 1: it Hankah, and then that's how they're gonna make it work.
- 24:47Speaker 1: So exactly, I don't know. Saturday, December fourth, A very
- 24:51Speaker 1: Merry Bridesmaid stars Emily Osmont of The Kaminsky Method and
- 24:55Speaker 1: Casey Diedrich of Days of Our Lives. Lee's alreadieth birthday
- 25:00Speaker 1: is on Christmas Eve, the same day as her brother's wedding.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Her childhood crush is back in town for the wedding,
- 25:06Speaker 1: and he is determined to make sure her birthday does
- 25:08Speaker 1: not go by the wayside. Well that's cute's sixteen candles
- 25:12Speaker 1: but at Christmas movie? So, Emily Ozmon, did you watch
- 25:15Speaker 1: The Kaminsky Method? No? But I know that's Hailey Joel
- 25:18Speaker 1: Osmond's sister. Oh, I did not know that she is
- 25:21Speaker 1: most recognizable to me as the star of Young and Hungry,
- 25:23Speaker 1: which I have never watched, but Netflix serves up to
- 25:26Speaker 1: me relentlessly as a show at things I might watch.
- 25:30Speaker 1: She has a very cute, recognizable face. So and Casey
- 25:33Speaker 1: Ddrich is real cute.
- 25:37Speaker 2: I don't know who that is either, and I am
- 25:39Speaker 2: looking at pictures of him. I was like, Oh, is
- 25:41Speaker 2: he related to Marlena did Didrich? Nope, Wendy, that is
- 25:45Speaker 2: a character right from Days of Our Lives.
- 25:49Speaker 1: That's Oh he is handsome, whoa whoa? Well he plays
- 25:54Speaker 1: a Chad Demia. He's pretty good.
- 26:00Speaker 2: I can't tell you looking at a picture and what
- 26:03Speaker 2: it's doing to me right now. I am definitely watching this.
- 26:08Speaker 1: This is a watch for Wendy. He's handsome.
- 26:14Speaker 2: Wow.
- 26:15Speaker 1: Wow.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Okay, this next one, I'm not going to read the
- 26:19Speaker 2: synopsis because it's so freaking long.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yes, I can tell you.
- 26:25Speaker 2: It's something about Salt Lake City and his sister goes
- 26:27Speaker 2: here and his sister goes there or something like that. Anyway,
- 26:29Speaker 2: it is called Sister Swap, a hometown holiday, which premieres Sunday,
- 26:36Speaker 2: December fifth, But then it has a companion movie. Mine
- 26:43Speaker 2: is all put together on my list as yours the
- 26:45Speaker 2: same or.
- 26:45Speaker 1: No, no, I have the companion movie later. I was
- 26:50Speaker 1: on the twelfth. Okay, so.
- 26:54Speaker 2: I don't even know how to describe this movie.
- 26:59Speaker 1: So basically, the idea here is that these movies star
- 27:03Speaker 1: Kimberly Williams, Paisley and Ashley Williams, who are sisters, and
- 27:07Speaker 1: they each have one of them is the star of
- 27:11Speaker 1: each movie, but the movies crossover, and the information I
- 27:15Speaker 1: read said there will be some shared scenes or some
- 27:18Speaker 1: scenes from a different perspective. And I enjoy both of
- 27:21Speaker 1: these actresses very much. I just hope that there's enough
- 27:26Speaker 1: original content to make two movies interesting.
- 27:29Speaker 2: Okay, well, look I'm gonna watch this because those are
- 27:32Speaker 2: two good actors. But it also stars Kevin Nalan, who
- 27:37Speaker 2: is like a former Saturday Night Live comedian actor.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Yeah, so rays we have this one is a hometown
- 27:46Speaker 1: holiday and then the other movie is Christmas in the City,
- 27:48Speaker 1: So we got like a little country mouse city mouse
- 27:51Speaker 1: action happening here. Are you gonna watch this?
- 27:56Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:56Speaker 1: Oh for sure, for sure. Love of Kimberly Williams, Paisleychael.
- 28:02Speaker 2: I think it's smart that they didn't do it like
- 28:04Speaker 2: back to back six pm, eight pm because you're probably
- 28:07Speaker 2: watching like almost the same movie, right, they're doing it
- 28:11Speaker 2: like a week apart from each other. Yeah, yeah, Okay.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Friday, December tenth, a Dickens of a Holiday starring Christopher
- 28:21Speaker 1: Polaha and Brook Doorsay. To make the one hundredth anniversary
- 28:26Speaker 1: of her hometown's Victorian Festival success, Cassie invites action movie
- 28:30Speaker 1: star and former high school classmate Jake to play Scrooge
- 28:33Speaker 1: and a Christmas Carol. I love Brooke de Orsay. Have
- 28:36Speaker 1: I talked about that many times? Yes?
- 28:38Speaker 3: I have.
- 28:38Speaker 1: I would watch anything she's in. I find her adorable
- 28:41Speaker 1: and charming.
- 28:43Speaker 2: Was she in that Beverly Hill's Wedding movie?
- 28:44Speaker 1: Yes, exactly. I like that movie. Yeah, I liked her,
- 28:49Speaker 1: so I'm here for it. And Christopher Polaha in Wonder
- 28:54Speaker 1: Woman nineteen eighty four. His credit is like a hot
- 28:58Speaker 1: guy hold on looking them up. I know I sound
- 29:02Speaker 1: boy crazy. I'm really not.
- 29:04Speaker 2: I'm just you know, I need a little bit of
- 29:06Speaker 2: you know, eye candy.
- 29:08Speaker 1: To watch this movie sometime. Sure, I don't know about
- 29:12Speaker 1: hot guy. He's a cutie. I think he's laty, classic
- 29:16Speaker 1: good looking guy. Yeah.
- 29:19Speaker 2: I love anything that rips off of Christmas Carol. So
- 29:23Speaker 2: I will probably watch this one too.
- 29:26Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, what's next?
- 29:28Speaker 2: This is the one I'm not looking forward to because
- 29:31Speaker 2: I don't.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Like royal anything.
- 29:34Speaker 2: A Royal Queen's Christmas premiere Saturday, December eleventh, eight pm,
- 29:39Speaker 2: starring Meghan Park and Julian Morris. A prince finds his
- 29:44Speaker 2: way to Queens during Christmas when a local woman enlists
- 29:48Speaker 2: his help with a children's Christmas show.
- 29:51Speaker 1: No, okay, it isn't Queens where Eddie Murphy ended up
- 29:55Speaker 1: in coming to America. I don't know why. This is
- 30:00Speaker 1: where the Royalty goes. Ha ha, we're on Queen Megan Park.
- 30:04Speaker 1: I looked at her face and said, oh, I know you.
- 30:09Speaker 1: She was in Secret Life of the American Teen. I
- 30:11Speaker 1: watched many of as many seasons of that show. That's
- 30:15Speaker 1: really all I know, except I looked up Julian Morris
- 30:19Speaker 1: and wrote, wowie Zellie. Wait, hold on a second. Then
- 30:24Speaker 1: it was six fifteen AM when I was.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Taking English actor appearing in British televisions and series.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Yeah, because he's playing a prince. Classic cute guys. I
- 30:34Speaker 1: gotta look him up again. Oh he's cute. He's not
- 30:39Speaker 1: giving you the wowie Zollie vibes. No, yeah, I agree,
- 30:43Speaker 1: he's cuter. Okay, this we discussed. Sunday, December twelfth is
- 30:47Speaker 1: Sister Swap. Christmas in the City. Oh City Man's that's
- 30:52Speaker 1: not next on my list.
- 30:53Speaker 2: See my list is all jacked because of that. Well.
- 30:57Speaker 1: Saturday, December eighteenth, The Christmas House Two Deck Those Halls Yes.
- 31:02Speaker 1: Stars Robert Buckley, Anna Aora, Jonathan Bennett, Sharon Lawrence, Treat Williams,
- 31:10Speaker 1: and Brad Harder. The Mitchell brothers compete to see who
- 31:13Speaker 1: can create the best Christmas House. Don't even care about
- 31:16Speaker 1: the plot of this movie. The plot to the first
- 31:17Speaker 1: movie didn't even make any sense. Such a great cast.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Love these characters. I'm here for it. In the first movie,
- 31:26Speaker 1: one of the couples was adopting. There's babies in this movie.
- 31:29Speaker 1: I'm ready, let's go. I didn't watch last year, so
- 31:33Speaker 1: I will make sure.
- 31:34Speaker 2: To catch it this year, and I will watch The
- 31:37Speaker 2: Christmas House too. December nineteenthtis The Season to Be Merry,
- 31:42Speaker 2: starring Rachel Lee Cook, Travis Van Winkle, Karen Molina White,
- 31:47Speaker 2: Everybody with three names, Please stand up looking for a
- 31:54Speaker 2: fresh angle to book? Wait, wait, looking for a fresh
- 31:58Speaker 2: angle to her book on real liage relationships. Mary m. E. R. R.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Y heads to snow covered Vermont. She finds a new
- 32:07Speaker 2: perspective and Christmas chair with charismatic aid worker Chris Look.
- 32:11Speaker 1: I like Rachel Lee Cook, but Karen Molina White was
- 32:14Speaker 1: in love for real. She played the assistant, the funny assistant.
- 32:18Speaker 2: I if that's who I think it is, I think
- 32:20Speaker 2: I really liked her.
- 32:22Speaker 1: She was super.
- 32:23Speaker 2: Funny in that movie, Travis van Winkle, Let's see who.
- 32:27Speaker 1: You are, mister Rowie Sally. He ain't that bad. He's
- 32:35Speaker 1: younger than me, so sare he's a baby driving van Winkle.
- 32:42Speaker 2: He Oh, wait a minute, wait, wait a minute. I
- 32:47Speaker 2: think this guy was in season three of You.
- 32:51Speaker 1: He was.
- 32:52Speaker 2: He was Oh my god, he was such a douchebag.
- 32:55Speaker 1: In season three of You. I'm really looking for it.
- 32:58Speaker 2: He was a good actor and he does have some
- 33:02Speaker 2: Wowe's ali when.
- 33:03Speaker 1: He takes his shirt off. So m He was also
- 33:06Speaker 1: on the Heart of Dixie, which I loved to play
- 33:08Speaker 1: Jonah Breeland. Okay, Travis van Winkle, I'm look at I
- 33:14Speaker 1: am really.
- 33:15Speaker 2: Excited about who Hallmark cast in these movies this year.
- 33:23Speaker 1: I mean, I'm excited.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Okay, moving on to Hallmark Movies and Mysteries. Yeah, a
- 33:34Speaker 2: channel we don't typically watch.
- 33:36Speaker 1: No, and are you are you interested in hearing my
- 33:39Speaker 1: strategy for Hallmark movies and Mysteries movies this year.
- 33:42Speaker 2: I think it's probably the same one I have in
- 33:44Speaker 2: my brain, but go ahead. So during Christmas in July,
- 33:48Speaker 2: my husband recorded many, many Christmas movies and he watched
- 33:51Speaker 2: them throughout July, and yesterday he was saying, I really
- 33:54Speaker 2: liked having those like the Leftovers to watch in August.
- 33:57Speaker 2: So he's like, oh, I will be nice to have
- 34:00Speaker 2: some extra movies because Hallmark of course airs all their
- 34:03Speaker 2: originals plus many re releases to fill in the time.
- 34:08Speaker 2: So he was saying, oh, it would be nice to
- 34:09Speaker 2: have those to watch into January. He's like, just made
- 34:11Speaker 2: me happy to keep Christmas going.
- 34:13Speaker 1: So what I was saying is, well, what we should
- 34:17Speaker 1: do is save the movies and mysteries for after the
- 34:21Speaker 1: holidays because we probably won't recap any of those and
- 34:25Speaker 1: I need to focus my time on the ones that
- 34:28Speaker 1: are more timely. Plus we watch a number of other
- 34:33Speaker 1: non Hallmark holiday movies as well, So that is my strategy.
- 34:38Speaker 1: These are like a post holiday winter break, Keep the
- 34:41Speaker 1: Spirit alive watch for me. Here is the problem with
- 34:44Speaker 1: that these movies have big names in them. Some of
- 34:49Speaker 1: them do, yes.
- 34:50Speaker 2: I mean, so I'm guessing they're trying to get more
- 34:53Speaker 2: people to watch Hallmarks Movies and Mysteries Channel. But I
- 34:58Speaker 2: feel like I can can't let the holiday season. I
- 35:01Speaker 2: am not want to prolong the holiday season. Christmas is over,
- 35:06Speaker 2: everything gets wrapped up and put away December twenty sixth.
- 35:09Speaker 2: So I think I'm gonna have to watch these when
- 35:12Speaker 2: they air.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Okay, but for words, I mean three movies a weekend
- 35:19Speaker 1: plus these, I mean, rock on with your bad self. Well,
- 35:22Speaker 1: I have cutting I have. You don't have to.
- 35:29Speaker 2: I downloaded the friendly app two day, paid my upgraded
- 35:33Speaker 2: amount or whatever, and I will just be watching on
- 35:38Speaker 2: my phone at any time. So okay, don't challenge me,
- 35:44Speaker 2: my dear, because I will.
- 35:47Speaker 1: I need you well rested during the holiday season. This
- 35:50Speaker 1: is a rough time of year. I need you to
- 35:53Speaker 1: not take on too much. I mean, if you guys
- 35:57Speaker 1: listeners want to hear recaps of these movies, get out
- 36:02Speaker 1: of town. Maybe it's just be alone. I don't know.
- 36:06Speaker 1: In March of this year, Wendy was like well, I
- 36:09Speaker 1: can finish twenty twenty one, but we gotta be done
- 36:12Speaker 1: with Hallmark after this.
- 36:13Speaker 2: And now I think I want to watch every movie
- 36:17Speaker 2: but maybe two.
- 36:19Speaker 1: You know, are we gonna recap all of these movies? No, no,
- 36:23Speaker 1: we're not going to yet.
- 36:23Speaker 2: Let's just briefly go over these movies real quick.
- 36:25Speaker 1: Okay, Saturday, October twenty third, Christmas In My Heart stars
- 36:29Speaker 1: Heather Hemmons, Luke McFarlane, and ryl Lee Ralth.
- 36:35Speaker 2: I was gonna say the only reason I would watch
- 36:37Speaker 2: this movie is for Luke McFarlane because I loved him
- 36:39Speaker 2: so much in last year's.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Taking a Shot Out Love. That's what I was called. Yeah,
- 36:49Speaker 1: I loved him so much in that. I love that
- 36:51Speaker 1: movie so much. But maybe it was just the movie.
- 36:53Speaker 1: I really liked the movie last year. Yeah. So the
- 36:56Speaker 1: synopsis is concert violinist Beth tutors the dog of reclusive
- 37:01Speaker 1: country music stars Sean to prep her for the holiday concert.
- 37:04Speaker 1: They are joined through the connective power of music. Look, yeah,
- 37:09Speaker 1: that's doing nothing for me. But look, are we gonna
- 37:12Speaker 1: get some country music in this movie? Maybe? Maybe? Bather
- 37:17Speaker 1: Hemmons is drop dead gorgeous. Have you looked at this woman?
- 37:20Speaker 1: Who No, I origin she's a wowie swie.
- 37:26Speaker 2: Look, I'm not into a kid's holiday concert. I'm just
- 37:30Speaker 2: not sorry. So, I mean, I may pop in and
- 37:35Speaker 2: check this out for a minute, but.
- 37:37Speaker 1: I'm gonna watch all of the Hallmark movies and shut up.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Next up, The Christmas Promise, Saturday, October thirtieth.
- 37:46Speaker 1: Sorry.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Tory DeVito, Dylan Bruce, graysten Halt, Patrick Duffy, Well, that's
- 37:52Speaker 2: a real throwback. Nicole learns to deal with grief with
- 37:56Speaker 2: the help of her grandfather and a carpenter. She hires
- 37:59Speaker 2: two renovate the home that was once meant for her
- 38:02Speaker 2: and her fiance.
- 38:05Speaker 1: Dead fiance. I'm here for it.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Maybe not dead fiance, maybe ex fiance.
- 38:11Speaker 1: Oh yes, I don't know. Maybe he just leaves her. Yeah,
- 38:14Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 38:15Speaker 2: I like Tory DeVito. She plays like scary, scary characters
- 38:20Speaker 2: and a lot of like Lifetime movies. But another one
- 38:25Speaker 2: that I'm just feeling man about, all right.
- 38:28Speaker 1: Patrick Duffy, ooh boy, I mean step by Step.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Yes, I watched that. That was TGI Friday Man. Every
- 38:36Speaker 2: Friday Night. I love show. Here's one of these that
- 38:41Speaker 2: I know that you're looking forward to.
- 38:42Speaker 1: Saturday November sixth, Debbie mccumbers A Missus Miracle Christmas stars
- 38:47Speaker 1: Caitlin Doubleday, Steve Lund of Baby It's Cold Inside, and
- 38:53Speaker 1: Caroline Ray, best known for Sabrina the Teenage Witch, best
- 38:57Speaker 1: known eh the host of the Biggest Loser originally too?
- 39:03Speaker 1: Was she the original host? Or wasn't Sammy on that
- 39:06Speaker 1: show too? Write Sammy? You didn't think of her name Sammy.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Also, when a family faces loneliness and loss of faith,
- 39:17Speaker 3: Missus Miracle swoops in to renew their Christmas spirit and
- 39:21Speaker 3: they experience a holiday of heavenly proportions.
- 39:25Speaker 1: This is too religious for me. Sorry, Yeah, I don't
- 39:30Speaker 1: know that I've ever watched a Missus Miracle movie. Debbie
- 39:33Speaker 1: McCumber is an author. She writes Christmas books and Hallmark
- 39:36Speaker 1: has turned a number of them into movies. This, I
- 39:40Speaker 1: believe is the third or the fourth Missus Miracle movie.
- 39:44Speaker 1: This is a real classic Hallmark audience favorite. People that
- 39:48Speaker 1: are likely to say I don't like the direction Hallmark
- 39:51Speaker 1: is going really enjoy the Missus Miracle movies. I enjoy
- 39:55Speaker 1: Caroline Ray. I would watch this. This is straight up
- 39:59Speaker 1: family value.
- 40:00Speaker 2: Hallmark IMDb is gonna be so happy about this movie.
- 40:04Speaker 1: Right, okay? Oh, this is the one I'm excited about. Okay.
- 40:08Speaker 2: One December Night premiers November thirteenth, starring Peter Gallagher, Bruce Campbell,
- 40:14Speaker 2: Elouise Mumford and Brett Dalton. Two music managers must put
- 40:20Speaker 2: their history aside to oversee the televised reunion performance of
- 40:24Speaker 2: their rock star fathers with a fractured past. Give me
- 40:28Speaker 2: rock Star and Christmas. I love it, especially Peter Gallagher.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Peter Gallagher, I'm excited for that. I mean, Peter Gallagher
- 40:37Speaker 2: is in one of my most favorite movies of all
- 40:40Speaker 2: time called Center Stage, where he's a ballet director movie.
- 40:44Speaker 2: I love that movie so much. He was in Zoe's
- 40:48Speaker 2: Extraordinary Playlist. He's a good he was in the OC.
- 40:53Speaker 2: I really enjoy him. And if he's like this washed
- 40:57Speaker 2: up rock star, amanto that too. I don't know who
- 41:01Speaker 2: any of those other people are, though, only Peter Gallagher indeed.
- 41:05Speaker 1: Saturday November twentieth, five More Minutes stars Nikki DeLoach and
- 41:10Speaker 1: David Hayden Jones, Inspired by Scottie McCreery song, A woman's
- 41:18Speaker 1: Christmas wish is answered in unexpected ways when her late
- 41:22Speaker 1: grandfather's journal turns up and reveals an untold romance. This
- 41:27Speaker 1: gives me real Christmas shoes vibes. You know, the Christmas
- 41:30Speaker 1: Shoes song and then they made a whole movie out
- 41:32Speaker 1: of it. No, the Christmas Shoes song where the boy
- 41:37Speaker 1: is like trying to buy shoes for his mom who's
- 41:39Speaker 1: at home dying. No, I don't need who sings that
- 41:44Speaker 1: I don't know? Come on now? Uh uh well, let
- 41:49Speaker 1: me tell you that in Is this an R and
- 41:53Speaker 1: B song? It's a legitimate question. You're no wet stars
- 42:07Speaker 1: Rob Low and Kimberly Williams Paisley. Btw from what year old? This?
- 42:14Speaker 1: Nineteen ninety five? It's a ten year old YouTube upload. Anyway,
- 42:21Speaker 1: that's the vibes that's giving me. That's perhaps unfair, that's
- 42:24Speaker 1: a that's what I'm getting from this movie. Did Nicki
- 42:27Speaker 1: Deloche actually write this movie? No, Nicki Delouche and Megan
- 42:30Speaker 1: McNaughty wrote Christmas for Keeps, which neither of them star in.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Oh all right, I like Nicki Delouche. I liked her
- 42:38Speaker 2: in that Fall Harvest movie, but I don't know if
- 42:41Speaker 2: I would turn it tune into this one.
- 42:43Speaker 1: We'll see. We'll see. She's also making a movie for
- 42:47Speaker 1: GAK right now, ghak. No, she's not. Jen Lily's making
- 42:54Speaker 1: a movie for GAK right now?
- 42:55Speaker 2: Okay, Jen Lily is not in our Christmas lineup this year?
- 43:00Speaker 1: Wow?
- 43:02Speaker 2: Okay, next up? Time for them to come home for Christmas. Saturday,
- 43:07Speaker 2: November twenty seven, starrying Jesse Shram totally adorable and Brendan
- 43:11Speaker 2: Penny from the Wowsy.
- 43:13Speaker 1: Mausie What didn't we call it earlier? Wowie mauie, Wowie
- 43:16Speaker 1: zowie wowie zouie. I think he's real cute. I have
- 43:20Speaker 1: a note here.
- 43:21Speaker 2: From executive producer creepiest guy in the business, Blake Shelton.
- 43:26Speaker 1: I saw that that's disappointing, but I love Jesse Shram,
- 43:32Speaker 1: so do I.
- 43:33Speaker 2: Let's read the synopsis. During the holidays, a woman with
- 43:35Speaker 2: amnesia catches a ride with her hands handsome nurse to
- 43:40Speaker 2: investigate the only clue to her identity, a newspaper clipping
- 43:44Speaker 2: from a Christmas festival with a cryptic invitation. I have
- 43:49Speaker 2: a question. Do we think a Gwen Stevanni Christmas song
- 43:52Speaker 2: is in this movie?
- 43:53Speaker 1: Oh? No, right, wait, you know that the Gwen Stone
- 44:00Speaker 1: Christmas song is like the theme song of Hallmark No.
- 44:03Speaker 2: I didn't what happened to Mike Gwen Stefani that I
- 44:06Speaker 2: would used to see in the Anaheim Clubs.
- 44:09Speaker 1: Now, she's what happened to you? You're here right? That
- 44:14Speaker 1: is some parallel universe bullshit. Let's power because I'm going
- 44:19Speaker 1: to be super late, all right. Saturday, December fourth, Our
- 44:22Speaker 1: Christmas Journey stars Holly Robinson, Pete, Lyric Bent, Nick Sanchez,
- 44:27Speaker 1: and Aloma Right as a single mom and her teenage
- 44:31Speaker 1: son with autism come to a crossroad during Christmas. You
- 44:34Speaker 1: must learn to let go so he can flourish as
- 44:36Speaker 1: she finds her own heart healing in unexpected ways. This
- 44:40Speaker 1: features an actor with autism, Holly Robinson. Pete has a
- 44:43Speaker 1: son with autism. This is very near and near to
- 44:45Speaker 1: her heart. I like this kind of representation on Hallmark.
- 44:48Speaker 1: I love Holly Robinson, Pete and I will watch this awesome.
- 44:54Speaker 2: Next step a god Wink Christmas Miracle of love. We
- 44:57Speaker 2: talked about it this week last week sometime on Our
- 45:00Speaker 2: Girls Gone Hallmark Podcasts, starring Catherine Burrell and Alberto Frezy. Look,
- 45:07Speaker 2: it has a really long synopsis and Megan's got to go.
- 45:10Speaker 2: So this has something to do with godwinks it's a
- 45:13Speaker 2: fourth installment. I think Medical Miracle. I see, I'm gonna
- 45:19Speaker 2: skip this one.
- 45:22Speaker 1: From executive producer Kathy Lee Gifford and definitely gonna skip
- 45:27Speaker 1: it in hmm, all right. The final movie on Hallmark
- 45:31Speaker 1: Movies and Mystery Saturday, December eighteenth, Christmas for Keeps, starring
- 45:35Speaker 1: Krista b Allen, Ryan Rotman, Ashley new new Brow and
- 45:41Speaker 1: Mary Elle Scott. At Christmas Time, a close knit group
- 45:45Speaker 1: of childhood friends returns home after ten years to take
- 45:49Speaker 1: part in the celebration of life of their beloved high
- 45:51Speaker 1: school teacher. Look like this. I like the story idea
- 45:55Speaker 1: me too. This is a watch for me and it's
- 45:57Speaker 1: christ one and christ to b Allen.
- 46:00Speaker 2: She played the child in thirteen going on thirty with
- 46:06Speaker 2: child she played She played at Jennifer Gardner as the
- 46:11Speaker 2: thirteen year old.
- 46:11Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 46:12Speaker 2: Yes, Now I have two questions for you. Will you
- 46:15Speaker 2: be watching the new movies that are gonna be on
- 46:18Speaker 2: Hallmark Movies now?
- 46:19Speaker 1: Well, I don't have the Hallmark movies now app and
- 46:21Speaker 1: quite frankly I'm done getting apps, so probably not. But
- 46:25Speaker 1: we have every time A bell rings On Thursday November
- 46:28Speaker 1: eighteenth starring Aaron Khill from a Timeless Christmas, Brittany Ishibashi,
- 46:32Speaker 1: Ali Lieber, and Wes Brown. Hat.
- 46:36Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a big cast to throw on like an
- 46:39Speaker 2: app streaming service rando.
- 46:42Speaker 1: No, Well, the app sucks, I'm so sorry, But it
- 46:45Speaker 1: doesn't feature new movies with the exception of the occasional
- 46:48Speaker 1: original that goes directly to the app, So I think
- 46:50Speaker 1: this is their way of trying to draw new subscribers.
- 46:53Speaker 1: The app does not feature all of the new content
- 46:55Speaker 1: in the other two lineups, and I think sometimes they
- 46:59Speaker 1: try and like trick people like get all the Hallmark movies,
- 47:01Speaker 1: but it's not actually all the Hallmark movies, So I
- 47:04Speaker 1: think this is their like ploy. I do think it's
- 47:07Speaker 1: kind of a bummer for people like Wes Brown and
- 47:09Speaker 1: Aaron Cahill, who are you know, fairly big names in
- 47:13Speaker 1: Hallmark who get shunted to the app. Yeah.
- 47:17Speaker 2: I'm sure they still got the same paycheck though, for sure.
- 47:20Speaker 2: So I'm also seeing another movie here called sugar Plum
- 47:22Speaker 2: Twist December second with a bunch of people I've never
- 47:25Speaker 2: heard of, and it's a twist on dance of the
- 47:30Speaker 2: sugar Plum Fairy with some Latin vibes. I don't look
- 47:34Speaker 2: at I'm not going to go over there and watch
- 47:36Speaker 2: I'm not. No, I'm not doing it, not because I
- 47:38Speaker 2: don't want to watch.
- 47:38Speaker 1: That movie with a Latin twist? Are you making fun
- 47:44Speaker 1: of my synopsis reading? Oh, I'm making fun of Hallmark.
- 47:47Speaker 1: They're like, we are inclusive.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a no for me. It's not the movie
- 47:51Speaker 2: that's a no for me. It's just I'm not going
- 47:53Speaker 2: to go on to another app and watch another movie when.
- 47:55Speaker 1: I'm already paying for Friendly. No, precisely the movies all
- 48:00Speaker 1: and before Christmas this year. I remember we were still
- 48:03Speaker 1: watching like December thirtieth Christmas movies last year, weren't we.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Yeah, there just must be showing repeats.
- 48:08Speaker 1: Then, that is assuming Hallmark sticks to this schedule. There
- 48:13Speaker 1: is no telling what will happen. So that is the
- 48:15Speaker 1: schedule as it stands. Those are our thoughts. We will
- 48:18Speaker 1: start reviewing movies on Thursday, so make sure you are
- 48:24Speaker 1: subscribed to the podcast so you never miss a new episode.
- 48:27Speaker 1: Let us know your thoughts on the Hallmark lineup, and
- 48:30Speaker 1: we can't wait to start counting down to Christmas with
- 48:32Speaker 1: you guys. Have a great weekend. Everybody, goodbye bye,
