- 0:04Speaker 1: NFL Game Deview is a production of the NFL in
- 0:06Speaker 1: partnership with iHeartRadio.
- 0:13Speaker 2: Everybody Welcome to game Debut, presented by Caesar Sportsbook. After
- 0:16Speaker 2: Claybund glad to be back with Greg Rosenthal and Cynthia
- 0:19Speaker 2: Freeland and we got a divisional.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Round to look forward to, guys, we do. I missed
- 0:23Speaker 3: you guys last week. And this is the best week
- 0:26Speaker 3: into football of the year.
- 0:27Speaker 4: I mean, I think both last week and this week
- 0:29Speaker 4: two best in a row. So I don't know, We're
- 0:32Speaker 4: lucky all around here.
- 0:33Speaker 5: He's just in a great mood since you know what happened.
- 0:35Speaker 2: Well, yeah, we'll get I know what happened. We'll get
- 0:38Speaker 2: Cynthia's crown blue like Blunail a little bit in the show.
- 0:43Speaker 2: But we are spinning the next twenty eight minutes and
- 0:46Speaker 2: change running through matchups in the AFC. Let's look at
- 0:49Speaker 2: these divisional round schedules, starting off with an AFC matchup
- 0:52Speaker 2: a ringatch earlier in this season, the Houston Texans against
- 0:55Speaker 2: the Chiefs, and then the Commanders and the Lions on Saturday,
- 0:59Speaker 2: wrapping up with the Rams and the Eagles and the
- 1:01Speaker 2: Ravens Bills on Sunday. But we need to take a
- 1:04Speaker 2: look back. That's the last time Houston Texas played the
- 1:07Speaker 2: Kansas City Chiefs. Just a few weeks ago. Patrick Mahomes
- 1:10Speaker 2: coming off with ankle injury. It was a high ankle
- 1:12Speaker 2: spring that came a week previously. So how did he
- 1:15Speaker 2: test that ankle by piling into the end zone with
- 1:19Speaker 2: Texans on his back? Fifteen yard rushing touchdown Chase led
- 1:23Speaker 2: seven anohing That's the second longest rushing touchdown of his career.
- 1:26Speaker 3: That was the most rushing yards he's ever had in
- 1:29Speaker 3: the first quarter of a game, and that could be
- 1:31Speaker 3: big in this game because the Texans have struggled against
- 1:33Speaker 3: scrambling quarterbacks.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he had thirty three rushing yards and that touchdown
- 1:37Speaker 2: to finish the game third quarter. Now Texas trails seventeen
- 1:40Speaker 2: to ten. Second and seven from the Chiefs thirty biggest
- 1:43Speaker 2: play of the game, maybe one of the biggest plays
- 1:45Speaker 2: of the season for the Texans. Stroud thirty yard touchdown
- 1:48Speaker 2: to Tank Dell. The problem is Tank Dell holds onto
- 1:52Speaker 2: that ball despite tearing his ACL and also having a
- 1:56Speaker 2: dislocated kneecap. He was out for the season. Of course. CJ. Stroud,
- 2:00Speaker 2: one of Tankdelle's close friends. He'd overcome so much gunshot
- 2:04Speaker 2: wound in the off season. Jared Rayn Jared Wayne just
- 2:08Speaker 2: got elevated from the practice squad. He had to be
- 2:10Speaker 2: consoled as well because it was him that ran into
- 2:12Speaker 2: Tankdlle's knee. A rough loss for the Texans. Really a
- 2:15Speaker 2: different game after that point. Castroud clearly emotional on the sideline.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Later in the third, Chiefs leading seventeen sixteen Mahomes funds
- 2:23Speaker 2: Xavier Worthy eight yard touchdown. They led twenty four to sixteen,
- 2:27Speaker 2: go on to win twenty seven to nineteen, but the
- 2:31Speaker 2: Texans would earn their way back. So it's time for
- 2:34Speaker 2: home field advantage presented by Zillo. The Chiefs and Texans
- 2:38Speaker 2: meeting up again Saturday. Kansas City hasn't lost at home
- 2:41Speaker 2: since Christmas of twenty twenty three. Does that win streak continue, Cynthia.
- 2:45Speaker 4: It sure does, but only by six points. I have
- 2:48Speaker 4: twenty six to twenty in this matchup. Why because when
- 2:51Speaker 4: I look at the opportunity for Patrick Mahomes to be special,
- 2:54Speaker 4: there is some rust and I need to figure out
- 2:57Speaker 4: if the O line is going to hold up in
- 2:59Speaker 4: this one. One of the rest versus rust arguments that
- 3:02Speaker 4: I think is most compelling is how was effect pressure
- 3:05Speaker 4: for Patrick Mahomes figuring out that rotation? And Andy Reid
- 3:08Speaker 4: and his most recent press conference was talking about they're
- 3:11Speaker 4: rotating in practice between DJ Humphries Joe Tooney, what's going
- 3:15Speaker 4: on at left tackle? My friend, Well, if you're going
- 3:17Speaker 4: to force Patrick Mahomes to run like this a lot,
- 3:19Speaker 4: it's going to be more difficult. If you're going to
- 3:21Speaker 4: force him to throw under duress, it's going to be
- 3:24Speaker 4: more difficult. So I think the actual benefit here for
- 3:27Speaker 4: them having three weeks plus off will be to figure
- 3:29Speaker 4: out how that O line gets just a smidge better.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I also have the Texans beating the number, but I've
- 3:36Speaker 2: got the Kansas City Chiefs winning this game by four,
- 3:39Speaker 2: twenty four to twenty. And I don't think it's because
- 3:41Speaker 2: it's a US. I have a case to make in
- 3:43Speaker 2: opposition to US, because Patrick Mahomes has played sixty one
- 3:46Speaker 2: games since January of twenty twenty two. It's just now
- 3:49Speaker 2: twenty twenty five. We remember that rest is good for you,
- 3:52Speaker 2: and I love football. It's provided a whole lot for
- 3:54Speaker 2: my life, including a lot of things that I care
- 3:56Speaker 2: about deeply. It's not good for you. The Texans were
- 3:58Speaker 2: in that least sixteen game, but then the pressure started.
- 4:02Speaker 2: Spags blitzed on forty four percent oh CJ. Strouds dropbacks.
- 4:05Speaker 2: They had a fifty six percent pressure rate in the
- 4:08Speaker 2: second half, and Houston really had no answers. Then I'm
- 4:12Speaker 2: not going to count on them, Greg to have these answers. Now,
- 4:15Speaker 2: I think the Chiefs survive in advance.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Yeah, it is such a big number, and it makes sense.
- 4:20Speaker 3: It's a team going for their third straight title, and
- 4:22Speaker 3: you guys both have the Texans cover in the number.
- 4:25Speaker 3: I'll reach you on that and I'll raise you a
- 4:29Speaker 3: Texans go. Let's go Texans pull off the upset.
- 4:33Speaker 5: We're just scregging it up. We're not worried.
- 4:35Speaker 3: It's about that Texans defense where Demiko Ryans really got
- 4:39Speaker 3: out coached in that first matchup. I actually think it's
- 4:42Speaker 3: an advantage that they just played them. They went into Arrowhead,
- 4:45Speaker 3: they played them even really for three quarters until that
- 4:47Speaker 3: tanked Dell injury. But Andy Reid was one step ahead
- 4:51Speaker 3: of Demiko Ryans in that defense, and that defense, to me,
- 4:54Speaker 3: was better than the Chiefs offense throughout the course of
- 4:56Speaker 3: the season. You're watching Will Anderson and Danielle Hunter get
- 4:59Speaker 3: go nuts on what happened last week. Also at cornerback,
- 5:03Speaker 3: Derek and Kamari Lassiter top two cornerbacks in the league
- 5:08Speaker 3: in terms of opposing completion percentage. I do believe this
- 5:11Speaker 3: defense is special. It's gonna take something special to beat
- 5:14Speaker 3: the Chiefs, and that's what the texts.
- 5:15Speaker 5: They're gonna do what we.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Gotta just take it against the Chiefs. I love it.
- 5:20Speaker 2: You can catch this game on NFL Plus. Folks postseason.
- 5:23Speaker 2: With NFL Plus, it's a great opportunity to stream the
- 5:26Speaker 2: entire postseason, including every playoff game and Super Bowl fifty
- 5:30Speaker 2: nine live on mobile. Subscription required for NFL Plus. Visit
- 5:33Speaker 2: Plus dot NFL dot com in order to see the terms.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Time to make it buy an area. Let's go this
- 5:40Speaker 2: guy or that guy who is more likely to row
- 5:42Speaker 2: for two touchdowns? Cynthia CJ. Stroud Er, Patrick Mahomes.
- 5:45Speaker 4: Patrick Mahomes, I think number one, this defense is now
- 5:48Speaker 4: in full force for the Chiefs, so that's gonna make
- 5:50Speaker 4: things more difficult. And number two, a short pass that
- 5:53Speaker 4: it goes for a yack that actually works out too
- 5:55Speaker 4: that counts as.
- 5:55Speaker 6: A passing touchdown for the quarterback.
- 5:57Speaker 4: While I want to point out that Travis Kelce has
- 6:01Speaker 4: thirteen touchdowns in thirteen playoff appearances, I like that a lot.
- 6:05Speaker 4: I think that it could also be a game where oh,
- 6:07Speaker 4: I don't know, Noah Grave potentially sees the end zone,
- 6:09Speaker 4: or perhaps a Kareem Hunt like get it going, get
- 6:13Speaker 4: it going on, Buddy in this game type of situation.
- 6:15Speaker 4: So I think at least one and a half, so
- 6:17Speaker 4: two or more passing touchdowns.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Patrick Mahomes also counts as that overhand underhand Shouble Bass
- 6:23Speaker 2: of the Chiefs run throat all the time also catches account.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Travis Kelce typically a beast in the playoffs. Who do
- 6:31Speaker 2: you think he's going to have over five and a
- 6:33Speaker 2: half more catches? Who's more likely him or Nico Collins.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Well, I'm a rule follower.
- 6:38Speaker 3: You give me a question, I'm going to answer it directly.
- 6:40Speaker 3: More likely is Nico Collins. I think they both get
- 6:43Speaker 3: over five and a half. But Nico Collins is in
- 6:46Speaker 3: the prime of his career. Travis Kelce's on the back
- 6:48Speaker 3: end against the defense that is typically very good up
- 6:51Speaker 3: the middle. Nico Collins can win anywhere you saw him
- 6:54Speaker 3: on those inbreakers a week ago against the Chargers, but
- 6:57Speaker 3: he's just as good winning one on one on the outside,
- 7:00Speaker 3: where I think he'll have some mismatches against a Chiefs
- 7:03Speaker 3: group undersized and Nico Collins, he can rack up a
- 7:07Speaker 3: lot of receptions. And this isn't about yards making get
- 7:10Speaker 3: yards after the catch too.
- 7:11Speaker 4: If you're looking at what happens on crucial downs, so
- 7:14Speaker 4: like third and fourth and those inbreakers to Nico Collins,
- 7:17Speaker 4: who that is a good matchup. I think inbreakers were
- 7:20Speaker 4: what changed the game last week, and that could be
- 7:23Speaker 4: another area to look for.
- 7:24Speaker 6: And this one, it's.
- 7:25Speaker 4: About getting and keeping CJ Sprout in rhythm and it's
- 7:28Speaker 4: all about the yak. So get CJ to get it
- 7:31Speaker 4: to Nico Collins in space, and I think I like that.
- 7:34Speaker 2: I like that a lot space is the final front here,
- 7:36Speaker 2: and it's a big part of why I'm taking this
- 7:38Speaker 2: last one. Joe Mixon or Xavier Worthy over seventy scrimmage yards,
- 7:42Speaker 2: I think Joe Mixon is more likely. I just discussed
- 7:45Speaker 2: how much Steve Spagnolo might blitz CJ. Stroup in this game.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I think it's a great opportunity to get Joe Mixon
- 7:52Speaker 2: involved in the passing game, especially the quick passing game,
- 7:55Speaker 2: give the Kansas City defense something else to look at.
- 7:59Speaker 2: I know that we saw PFF Bobby have a lot
- 8:01Speaker 2: of first dound runs against the Chargers. Much of this
- 8:04Speaker 2: grant of users on social media like myself, But I
- 8:07Speaker 2: think Joe Mixon is involved in this game, not just
- 8:09Speaker 2: in the traditional run. Since two really good football players,
- 8:13Speaker 2: it's a shame only one of them can be good.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Let's look back to the Week four matchup between the
- 8:17Speaker 2: Ravens and the Bills. This is the first carry of
- 8:19Speaker 2: the game for Derrick Henry. It was a seventy seven
- 8:23Speaker 2: excuse me, eighty seven yard touchdown run. Baltimore led seven
- 8:27Speaker 2: to nothing. He finished with one hundred and ninety nine
- 8:29Speaker 2: yards on the ground and a receiving touchdown. Skipping ahead
- 8:34Speaker 2: to the third quarter, Bill's trailing twenty one to ten.
- 8:37Speaker 2: It's a flip Josh Allen, but oh, Kyle van Noy
- 8:41Speaker 2: causes a fumble. Kyle Hamilton jumps on top of it,
- 8:44Speaker 2: runs it back eight yards. Look at the die from
- 8:47Speaker 2: Kyle van Noyd to get that ball out before Josh
- 8:49Speaker 2: Allen could cut loose. He'd finished sixteen of twenty nine
- 8:53Speaker 2: for one hundred and eighty yards through the air. Next
- 8:56Speaker 2: Ravens possession, first and goal at the Bills nine. Lamar
- 8:59Speaker 2: is gonna keep that, He's gonna take it for a
- 9:01Speaker 2: nine yard touchdown run. The Ravens wore going to win
- 9:04Speaker 2: five to ten and Josh Allen on the sideline thinking
- 9:08Speaker 2: we're gonna get these guys in the divisional round and well, Josh,
- 9:11Speaker 2: it's that time as a time for Seas the Season
- 9:13Speaker 2: presented by seas Or Sportsbook. As we look at the
- 9:16Speaker 2: first touchdown score odds between the Ravens and the Bills
- 9:20Speaker 2: and Derreck Henry who got that touchdown? Seconds in to
- 9:23Speaker 2: the Week four matchup, the odds on favorite at plus
- 9:26Speaker 2: four hundred with Josh Allen, James Cook and Khalil Shakir
- 9:29Speaker 2: following him up Lamar Jackson at plus eleven hundred. Let's
- 9:32Speaker 2: dive right in to this huge, incredible matchup. Everyone's gonna
- 9:35Speaker 2: have to wait all weekend for it. Two MVP candidates
- 9:38Speaker 2: going head to head Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen to
- 9:41Speaker 2: see who gets a chance to go to the AFC
- 9:43Speaker 2: Championship Game. Who do you think does it? Gric?
- 9:45Speaker 3: I think the Bills get it done. I'm sorry to
- 9:47Speaker 3: break your heart, trick, but I'm wrong very often. Thirty
- 9:51Speaker 3: one to thirty. I believe in points in this game
- 9:53Speaker 3: more than I do in my pick of who is
- 9:55Speaker 3: going to win the games, because these two quarterbacks are
- 9:58Speaker 3: just that good. You feel for both of these guys
- 10:01Speaker 3: having to go up against each other. If Josh Allen loses,
- 10:03Speaker 3: it'd be fourth straight year they've lost in the division round.
- 10:06Speaker 3: That's never happened in a history of the NFL, at
- 10:08Speaker 3: least in this round. Losing the same time. And if
- 10:11Speaker 3: Lamar Jackson struggled in this game, he's had some of
- 10:14Speaker 3: his worst performances in the playoffs. I think last week
- 10:17Speaker 3: is gonna give both of them a lot of confidence.
- 10:19Speaker 3: And I ultimately think as good as these defenses are
- 10:22Speaker 3: and how much they've improved over the course of the season,
- 10:25Speaker 3: I don't think they're gonna hold up. It's still an
- 10:27Speaker 3: offensive league. I don't care about the weather. I think
- 10:29Speaker 3: they're both gonna ball out, which will help an annoying
- 10:32Speaker 3: narrative for whoever loses this game. But ultimately, the Bills
- 10:36Speaker 3: are at home. If it was in Baltimore, i'd probably
- 10:39Speaker 3: go Baltimore. But at home the Bills a balanced offense
- 10:44Speaker 3: that can run the ball against this Ravens front and
- 10:47Speaker 3: can throw it.
- 10:48Speaker 5: I give them a one point win, but either way
- 10:50Speaker 5: I like that over all.
- 10:53Speaker 4: Right, well, I too have a one point win. I
- 10:55Speaker 4: have twenty seven to twenty six in this matchup.
- 10:58Speaker 5: Do you guys know.
- 10:58Speaker 4: Who DJ Sauce Von the Dawn happens to be? No, yeah,
- 11:04Speaker 4: DJ name, and he, to me is the reason why
- 11:06Speaker 4: I have the Bills winning this game. Why well, he
- 11:09Speaker 4: lines up primarily on the left side of the defense,
- 11:13Speaker 4: which means he gets to match up with Roger Rosengarden,
- 11:15Speaker 4: the right tackle for the Ravens. Rosen Garden is near
- 11:18Speaker 4: the bottom of the league in terms of pressures allowed
- 11:20Speaker 4: at the position.
- 11:22Speaker 6: And if you're looking at what DJ.
- 11:23Speaker 4: Sauce Von the Dawn has done since returning from there by, oh,
- 11:29Speaker 4: it's just a twenty four percent pressure rate. And if
- 11:31Speaker 4: you look at just third down specifically, that number goes
- 11:34Speaker 4: to thirty two percent. So listen, he's spinning. He spins
- 11:38Speaker 4: in the locker room. That's a fun fact. You know,
- 11:40Speaker 4: you can tell your friends. And he's actually, you know,
- 11:42Speaker 4: he's very good DJ, and he's also very good at
- 11:44Speaker 4: rushing pass.
- 11:45Speaker 5: He spins on the field too.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Oh there we go.
- 11:47Speaker 4: You know he ain't just a bull rusher. He's got
- 11:49Speaker 4: the spin move both on and off the field.
- 11:51Speaker 2: Maybe Roger rosen Garden will have a great moment and
- 11:53Speaker 2: he'll and he'll tell him he's somebody like Miles Garrett do.
- 11:56Speaker 6: Or like that that record scratch.
- 11:58Speaker 2: Yes, I I this is a great game, and I
- 12:03Speaker 2: agree with you guys. It's going to be a close game.
- 12:05Speaker 2: I have a two point game. I have Baltimore winning
- 12:08Speaker 2: and a lot of it's the reason the Buffalo Bills
- 12:10Speaker 2: had that dominant win last week with their ability to
- 12:13Speaker 2: run the football. But the Baltimore Ravens can do it differently,
- 12:16Speaker 2: and we saw them do it. Looking back at that
- 12:18Speaker 2: highlight with the way that Derrick Henry had that eighty
- 12:21Speaker 2: seven yard touchdown on the first carret, I'm not reproducing that,
- 12:24Speaker 2: but just look at how Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry
- 12:27Speaker 2: have operated the zone read late in the season. It
- 12:31Speaker 2: feels like Lamar has made the right choice almost every
- 12:35Speaker 2: single time. And with that run game, if you can
- 12:38Speaker 2: limit the opportunity, especially with the Ravens having one of
- 12:40Speaker 2: the better run defenses in the NFL. The Bills play
- 12:44Speaker 2: more Nickel than anybody ninety five percent of the time.
- 12:48Speaker 2: Buffalo is going to have five or six defensive backs
- 12:52Speaker 2: on the field. Baltimore one of the best rushing teams
- 12:55Speaker 2: against Nickel and don defenses. I just believe the Ravens
- 12:58Speaker 2: will be able to run the game, and I think
- 12:59Speaker 2: they're going to run their way to the AFC Championship.
- 13:01Speaker 4: I swear there's got to be like a five percent
- 13:03Speaker 4: air thing, because I basically don't see them not playing nickels.
- 13:06Speaker 4: So I'm just curious, what are those five What is
- 13:09Speaker 4: that five percent?
- 13:09Speaker 6: Because I gotta go find it.
- 13:10Speaker 2: It's like an accident, Like I guess, some teams were
- 13:13Speaker 2: lucky enough to get to the goal line and they
- 13:14Speaker 2: had some opportunities there. That was season. The season brought
- 13:17Speaker 2: to you by Caesar Sportsbook. Bet just one dollar and
- 13:20Speaker 2: double booster. Next ten bets up to twenty five dollars.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Terms and conditions apply. Must be twenty one plus. Let's
- 13:29Speaker 2: get some notable player props. According to the folks that
- 13:32Speaker 2: Caesar Sports Book, we can get Josh Allen at one
- 13:35Speaker 2: and a half passing touchdown, Lamar Jackson going around two
- 13:38Speaker 2: hundred twenty one and a half and a half pass yards,
- 13:41Speaker 2: James Cook about sixty rush yards, Derek Henry ninety seven
- 13:44Speaker 2: and a half, and Khalil Shakir four and a half receptions.
- 13:47Speaker 2: So let's talk more or less some player props for
- 13:51Speaker 2: this matchup, Greg Well Josh Allen have more or less
- 13:55Speaker 2: than two hundred and eighty seven total yards.
- 13:57Speaker 3: Total being the total number, and word there, we're going
- 14:01Speaker 3: way over. This is easy love that Cynthia and I
- 14:05Speaker 3: are both on the same side of points in this
- 14:06Speaker 3: game because she was over that number as well. Josh
- 14:10Speaker 3: Allen is going to be very important in the running
- 14:13Speaker 3: game now. When he was younger, he almost would wait
- 14:15Speaker 3: to the end of the season to scramble more often,
- 14:18Speaker 3: especially in the playoffs. Now he's just a big part
- 14:22Speaker 3: of the running game all the time. And I do
- 14:23Speaker 3: think in this matchup when he drops back, he's gonna
- 14:26Speaker 3: be running quite a bit.
- 14:27Speaker 5: Why are you laughing?
- 14:28Speaker 6: Because five seasons is not like I'm just saying. If
- 14:31Speaker 6: you remember though, early in.
- 14:33Speaker 3: His career, like once he got to this point in
- 14:35Speaker 3: the season, he just started running all the time.
- 14:38Speaker 2: I'm Josh Allen, Destroyer of Worlds, the other world destroyer
- 14:41Speaker 2: the quarterback for the Raven Cynthia Well Lamar Jackson have
- 14:44Speaker 2: more or less than one and a half passing touch.
- 14:46Speaker 4: I'm Lamar Jackson also destroyer of the World. Yes, I
- 14:48Speaker 4: think he will have more than one and a half
- 14:50Speaker 4: passing touchdowns.
- 14:51Speaker 6: High scoring game.
- 14:52Speaker 4: But also let's look at where this Bill's defense is
- 14:55Speaker 4: most vulnerable.
- 14:56Speaker 6: In their first matchup, they actually did not stack the
- 14:58Speaker 6: box very often. Big mistake. Huge Why because Derek Henry
- 15:02Speaker 6: ran all over them.
- 15:03Speaker 4: This time, I think the stack the box a little
- 15:04Speaker 4: bit more, which leaves to more vulnerability in the pass
- 15:07Speaker 4: catching game. So I think that will benefit ra Shan Bateman.
- 15:11Speaker 4: Should Zay Flowers play potentially Zay Flowers and of course
- 15:14Speaker 4: the tight end Mark Andrews.
- 15:16Speaker 2: I'll take this last one. Will Derrick Henry have over
- 15:18Speaker 2: one hundred and five scrimmage yards? We've seen more, especially
- 15:21Speaker 2: since the Justice Hill injury. Justice Hill back Dereck Henry
- 15:24Speaker 2: still catching more passes. I think he gets north of
- 15:27Speaker 2: that number, which just saw the one hundred and ninety
- 15:29Speaker 2: nine yards, and they do run very well against stack boxes.
- 15:33Speaker 2: And the problem is if you stack the box and
- 15:35Speaker 2: Derrick Henry and he gets to the second level you're
- 15:38Speaker 2: chasing he got and you're trying to grab hair. He's
- 15:41Speaker 2: cut his hair off since then so that the hair
- 15:43Speaker 2: is not there to grab. So I think there's more
- 15:46Speaker 2: three mores and more or less as we look at
- 15:48Speaker 2: this great end to divisional weekend here in the NFL,
- 15:53Speaker 2: coming up the Division Round, usually the best weekend of
- 15:56Speaker 2: the NFL year. We're expecting points on points when we return.
- 16:00Speaker 2: We're giving you some of our favorite props for the weekend.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Stick around, write this down. Coming up next that four
- 16:15Speaker 2: divisional playoff weekends Saturday at noon at Sunday at eleven
- 16:19Speaker 2: am Eastern with NFL Game Day morning on Saturday, all
- 16:23Speaker 2: six four and seven eighths two hundred and fifty five
- 16:26Speaker 2: pounds of Max Crosby, which are smaller than Cynthia Freeland
- 16:30Speaker 2: joined the crew in studio to see how the Texans
- 16:33Speaker 2: can slow down Patrick Mahomes plus gimme checks, sitting down
- 16:36Speaker 2: with Kansas City Chiefs pro bowler Chris Jones, all that
- 16:39Speaker 2: and more. Saturday at noon.
- 16:41Speaker 6: He's the same height as Ian.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Yeah, he's right there.
- 16:43Speaker 3: Just between this, I'm taller the NFL media Cynthia and Ian.
- 16:47Speaker 6: I love it.
- 16:48Speaker 2: That puts rich in like the Wimby zone right there
- 16:52Speaker 2: at the front of this graphic. It's time for expert
- 16:54Speaker 2: playmakers presented by into it turbo attacks. Patrick Mahomes always
- 16:58Speaker 2: seems to shine in the playoffs. Will he have over
- 17:00Speaker 2: two hundred and seventy six and a half total yards
- 17:03Speaker 2: on saturate against the Texans India?
- 17:05Speaker 4: He will shine, But I don't think his yardage total
- 17:08Speaker 4: gets that high. Why because I think this is where
- 17:11Speaker 4: Andy Reid coming off of bye, becomes a nice run
- 17:15Speaker 4: play caller. Meaning let's not have Patrick Mahomes have to
- 17:18Speaker 4: do too many crazy things against this defense that brings
- 17:21Speaker 4: the second highest pressure rate, that has those great corners.
- 17:24Speaker 6: Let's run the football more so.
- 17:26Speaker 4: I don't think it's going to be quite as many
- 17:27Speaker 4: yards as that. But remember, don't fret, Mary Anne Freeland,
- 17:30Speaker 4: I'm not picking against Patrick Mahomes, who you love so much.
- 17:33Speaker 6: I am picking him to win. Just doesn't need to
- 17:35Speaker 6: be throwing late in the game.
- 17:36Speaker 5: Well, Maryanne Friedland, listen up.
- 17:37Speaker 3: I am picking against Patrick Mahomes and I'm going under
- 17:40Speaker 3: on this one too. I am curious if he's going
- 17:43Speaker 3: to get rid of the ball as quickly as he
- 17:44Speaker 3: did against the Texas. It was a great game plan.
- 17:46Speaker 3: You would assume they'd be a little more prepared for it.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Maybe he's feeling healthier and he actually hold on to
- 17:51Speaker 3: the ball morn and weirdly that doesn't help him.
- 17:54Speaker 2: So yeah, they both say no, so confirmed. Greg and
- 17:58Speaker 2: Cynthia say Patrick Mahomes is bad and we'll have a bag.
- 18:01Speaker 4: And Cynthia's mom is going to call her and be
- 18:03Speaker 4: mean to god.
- 18:04Speaker 2: How do you hate Patrick mahone? Why do you hate heavy?
- 18:06Speaker 6: He's my favorite player in the league. That's what I'm
- 18:08Speaker 6: in here.
- 18:09Speaker 2: Mom. Don't worry, because it's time to give your daughter
- 18:11Speaker 2: her flowers. Congratulations to Cynthia Freeland, the regular season Picks champion.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Just the competition, one hundred and ninety four and seventy eight.
- 18:23Speaker 2: We have not seen numbers like that, Cynthia, congratulations.
- 18:26Speaker 6: Thanks.
- 18:27Speaker 4: I mean, you know, I just I guess, like you know,
- 18:30Speaker 4: I didn't realize it was that I stop tracking.
- 18:33Speaker 6: Oh stop, no, it's true.
- 18:34Speaker 3: First of all, I take exception to demolishing the competition.
- 18:37Speaker 3: I had you all season and then she passed me
- 18:41Speaker 3: in week seventeen and eighteen because she's a closer. He's
- 18:44Speaker 3: a finisher. Winners close.
- 18:46Speaker 6: Now, yeah, ABC, Baby.
- 18:48Speaker 2: It's cumulative. It's the whole season. Stop write this down, Cynthia.
- 18:52Speaker 2: You're the champion. You've got that glorious crown. Also started
- 18:55Speaker 2: off with this, what should people take me?
- 18:57Speaker 4: It is a beautiful crown, isn't it? Okay, I'm looking
- 18:59Speaker 4: at Kareem Hunt. I told you I think Andy Reid
- 19:01Speaker 4: will run the football more and I think Kareem Hunt's.
- 19:03Speaker 6: Going to be the guy to do.
- 19:04Speaker 4: But you heard him talk about in the past when
- 19:06Speaker 4: he was in Miami and he was going shopping instead
- 19:09Speaker 4: of being in the playoff, like all these things that
- 19:10Speaker 4: made him so sad. So you know he's going to
- 19:14Speaker 4: have a nice big game here, help es quarterback out
- 19:16Speaker 4: from getting pressured. I think this is going to be
- 19:18Speaker 4: a nice, solid game for Kareem Hunt so that he
- 19:21Speaker 4: can show everyone I deserve to be here.
- 19:23Speaker 2: No big game for Kareem Hunt. What is your prediction?
- 19:25Speaker 3: So we were showing all the over enders in terms
- 19:28Speaker 3: of rushing yards before, and James Cook was about half
- 19:31Speaker 3: of Derrick Henry.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Give this man some respect. James Cook to the moon way.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Over fifty five and a half rushing yards.
- 19:38Speaker 5: Why is Derrick Henry double?
- 19:39Speaker 3: He wasn't double during the regular season because James Cook
- 19:42Speaker 3: was one of the very best running backs in the league.
- 19:45Speaker 5: I think there's going to be a lot of points.
- 19:46Speaker 3: Ultimately, I do think Buffalo is one of the best
- 19:48Speaker 3: rushing teams.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Goes Over, you know, scored more rushing touchdowns than Derrick
- 19:52Speaker 4: Henry James.
- 19:52Speaker 2: Coup that's right, he did an all time record for
- 19:55Speaker 2: the Buffalo Bills. Ti in Oorenthal, James Simpson. My prediction
- 19:58Speaker 2: involves that game between the Ravens and the Bills. Isaiah.
- 20:02Speaker 2: Likely we'll have over thirty seven and a half receiving
- 20:05Speaker 2: yards against the Buffalo Bills. We don't know the health
- 20:08Speaker 2: status of Jay Flowers. Isaiah likely out there on the field,
- 20:12Speaker 2: especially when the Bill's playing all the nickel that they do.
- 20:16Speaker 2: If they try to snack the box, they'll have a
- 20:18Speaker 2: leverage advantage. Isaiah. Likely over thirty seven and a half.
- 20:21Speaker 3: I feel, and you better actually write this down because Cynthia,
- 20:24Speaker 3: you deserve you're the picks queen.
- 20:26Speaker 5: That's the ultimate test.
- 20:28Speaker 3: But can I just take this for a second here,
- 20:30Speaker 3: come on, I want to give it to our friend Patrick.
- 20:32Speaker 6: Okay, what are you doing to my crowd? The most
- 20:37Speaker 6: right where you're going.
- 20:39Speaker 2: This is this is teamwork. We wear this crown as
- 20:42Speaker 2: a unit. We had a big merger back in nineteen
- 20:45Speaker 2: sixty six. You may have heard about it. We're dividing
- 20:47Speaker 2: our shows in the AFC and NFC. This is an
- 20:51Speaker 2: NFC chat two Monster di visual matchups. I can't wait. Greg.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Yes, and the merger was a big change for the
- 20:59Speaker 3: NFC in the NFL, and I'm wondering if this weekend
- 21:02Speaker 3: is going to be a changing of the guard in
- 21:04Speaker 3: the NFC. Maybe we get some crazy upsets because we
- 21:06Speaker 3: have a big numbers.
- 21:08Speaker 6: You better not be talking about an upset. That would
- 21:11Speaker 6: be very upsetting to me. Why didn't you say this.
- 21:13Speaker 4: In the AFC show, mister h I just same.
- 21:17Speaker 5: We got some young, exciting players.
- 21:18Speaker 2: Yeah, we have some emotional personal attachments to the NFC. Son, Hey,
- 21:22Speaker 2: we all did decent in the picks last week. Let's
- 21:25Speaker 2: take a look everybody going four and two. It wasn't
- 21:27Speaker 2: all the same games. We all arrived at the same location,
- 21:31Speaker 2: so no crowns to be distributed unless we were to
- 21:34Speaker 2: have a thirty three and a third percent repeating of
- 21:37Speaker 2: a crown sitting and that would fall off our head.
- 21:39Speaker 6: Thank you perfect each We're third, that's a third? I
- 21:43Speaker 6: think it would be.
- 21:45Speaker 2: We love it. This is the visual schedule for the weekend,
- 21:47Speaker 2: starting off on Saturday, Texans against the Chiefs, the reigning
- 21:51Speaker 2: defending two time champs. The Commanders playing against the team
- 21:55Speaker 2: Cynthia likes, the Detroit Lions or are that one seed?
- 21:58Speaker 2: The Rams going up against the Eagles and then finishing
- 22:01Speaker 2: off with the Ravens at the Bills. Cynthia's Lions have
- 22:05Speaker 2: never won the game that she's not saying. Could this
- 22:09Speaker 2: be the year? Oh gotta love pel official he said
- 22:12Speaker 2: season It's top for seas the season presented by Caesars Sportsbook.
- 22:15Speaker 2: The first touchdown score odds it is all Lions. The
- 22:19Speaker 2: roar has been restored to mer Gibbs. David Montgomery, welcome back.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Plus four seventy five to get in the end zone.
- 22:27Speaker 2: I'm on round Saint Brown, Jmo and then Sam Laporta
- 22:31Speaker 2: and yeah, the other team has a pretty good football player,
- 22:34Speaker 2: Jadon Daniels and the Commanders taking on the top seeded
- 22:37Speaker 2: Lions in Detroit. The Lions fresh off the buy. David
- 22:40Speaker 2: Montgomery is back. How does it go?
- 22:42Speaker 3: Grik see now, Cynthia, I said, it could be the
- 22:45Speaker 3: changing of the guard, and we have this young quarterback
- 22:47Speaker 3: doing things as a rookie we've never seen before.
- 22:50Speaker 5: And now, who am I kidding?
- 22:51Speaker 3: The Lions are gonna roll over this Commander's defense forty
- 22:54Speaker 3: one to twenty seven.
- 22:56Speaker 5: It's not the changing of the guard.
- 22:57Speaker 3: It's the same team that made the NFC Championship Game
- 23:00Speaker 3: a year ago. Because they got the better quarterback in
- 23:02Speaker 3: this game, as great as Jadon Daniels, Jared Goff is
- 23:05Speaker 3: playing the best football of his career. A lot of
- 23:08Speaker 3: these throws that you see are from a very comfortable pocket,
- 23:11Speaker 3: and that's what I expect to happen on Sunday. Commanders
- 23:14Speaker 3: couldn't get after Baker Mayfield last week. The Buccaneers did
- 23:17Speaker 3: not make them pay enough. I think it's a very
- 23:19Speaker 3: similar matchup against really a great offensive line and a
- 23:23Speaker 3: player in Jared Goff that, yes, he was great last
- 23:26Speaker 3: year at this time, and he was good the year before,
- 23:28Speaker 3: but he has improved. I've seen it like quarterbacks can
- 23:32Speaker 3: keep improving. He's only thirty years old. I saw Tom
- 23:35Speaker 3: Brady play his best quarterbacking at thirty eight forty years old,
- 23:38Speaker 3: and I really do believe his command of this offense
- 23:41Speaker 3: with the weapons around him against this commander's defense, which
- 23:44Speaker 3: is below average, is the biggest mismatch of the weekend.
- 23:48Speaker 5: I don't think it's close. I think they cover the.
- 23:49Speaker 4: Number your lips to whoever's in charges, ears, whatever the
- 23:53Speaker 4: whoever's making the script writer. Anyways, I have a win
- 23:57Speaker 4: for the Lions to a more modest win thirty one
- 23:59Speaker 4: to twenty four. In this matchup. I want to point
- 24:02Speaker 4: out the tight ends because both of these teams have
- 24:04Speaker 4: been exceptional on going for it on fourth down.
- 24:07Speaker 6: In fact, they're the two best in the league.
- 24:09Speaker 4: The best is actually the Commanders in big part why
- 24:12Speaker 4: because the tight end is a great opportunity to help
- 24:15Speaker 4: out the quarterback. Sam Laporta in recent weeks has been
- 24:18Speaker 4: a great reason why Jared goffin company are so good
- 24:21Speaker 4: at going forward on fourth down this season.
- 24:24Speaker 6: Overall, on fourth down, do you know what's going on?
- 24:26Speaker 4: League wide? It's actually not going as well. It's down
- 24:29Speaker 4: about eight or nine percentage points. But not for these
- 24:32Speaker 4: two teams, oh contreire. Why because Laporta gives them another
- 24:36Speaker 4: option the pass catching game, and they've got this great
- 24:39Speaker 4: run situation and the offensive line.
- 24:41Speaker 6: But then on the.
- 24:41Speaker 4: Other side, zach Ertz, He's able to kind of beat
- 24:44Speaker 4: whatever's going on, especially with the blitz. If you look
- 24:48Speaker 4: at what goes on with Jayden Daniels passer rating when
- 24:50Speaker 4: targeting zach Ertz when teams blitz him.
- 24:52Speaker 6: It's one twenty three. That's super high.
- 24:55Speaker 4: So when I'm looking at both of these teams and
- 24:57Speaker 4: their kind of high risk nature, the tight ends do
- 25:00Speaker 4: make the difference.
- 25:01Speaker 2: And the problem is for zach Ertz and the Commanders
- 25:03Speaker 2: they're playing, it's the Lions who have been very, very
- 25:05Speaker 2: good at stopping tight ends all season long. It's unanimous.
- 25:09Speaker 2: I have the Lions winning by more modest score than
- 25:11Speaker 2: Cynthia thirty two to twenty seven. We all have points here,
- 25:14Speaker 2: but I think you need to be able to run
- 25:16Speaker 2: the ball to keep this Lions offense off the field.
- 25:19Speaker 2: And yeah, the Commanders were able to get a whole
- 25:21Speaker 2: lot of opportunity convert all those fourth downs utilizing Jayden Daniels.
- 25:25Speaker 2: You know the last time a non quarterback led the
- 25:28Speaker 2: Commanders in rushing it was before Thereby, if you take
- 25:31Speaker 2: Jaydon Daniels away, they go from the best EPA per
- 25:35Speaker 2: carry offense in the entire league all the way down
- 25:38Speaker 2: to seventh. He's so much of the offense, He's so
- 25:41Speaker 2: much of the run game. I think you just need
- 25:44Speaker 2: more pieces. Yeah, this could be a seed change in
- 25:47Speaker 2: years when the Commanders get more pieces around. The Detroit
- 25:50Speaker 2: Lions have a complete offense. The Washington Commanders put a
- 25:53Speaker 2: lot on the shoulders of their very young quarterback. Mem Away,
- 25:57Speaker 2: We've all got the Lions season. Season brought to you

- 26:20Speaker 2: NFL Plus visit plus dot NFL dot com in order
- 26:23Speaker 2: to get the full terms. Time for more or less
- 26:26Speaker 2: as socks of player props for this game between the
- 26:28Speaker 2: Commanders and the Lions. In the fable, Jade Daniels have
- 26:31Speaker 2: more or less than two hundred and ninety one total yards.
- 26:34Speaker 6: Well, the running yards count for that one.
- 26:36Speaker 4: As the rushing yards bolster this projection for me, I
- 26:38Speaker 4: think he has more than this total. Why well, if
- 26:41Speaker 4: you look at this O line, it lines up the
- 26:42Speaker 4: fifth widest in the National Football League.
- 26:44Speaker 6: And what happens then.
- 26:45Speaker 4: It creates more lanes for Jayden Daniels to use those legs,
- 26:48Speaker 4: and we knows he wants to do it. He's going
- 26:50Speaker 4: to do it, especially because the Lions plays so much. Man,
- 26:53Speaker 4: perhaps the space that's created from that will give him
- 26:56Speaker 4: an opportunity to help go over that number.
- 26:59Speaker 2: All right, so we got one more. Let's go to
- 27:00Speaker 2: the Lions. Greg Well, I'm on Ross Saint Brown have
- 27:02Speaker 2: more or less than seven six receiving those.
- 27:05Speaker 3: Oh, I got a lot of respect from Mike Sandristell,
- 27:07Speaker 3: who might be the matchup here, but Mike Sandristell isn't
- 27:10Speaker 3: in the garage with Equanimius and mister Universe working out.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Let's go him on Ron way over seventy six.
- 27:18Speaker 5: Love this matchup. I don't think they match up.
- 27:20Speaker 3: Well at all in the secondary against this Lions team.
- 27:23Speaker 3: And just for the record, only one of us picked
- 27:26Speaker 3: the Lions to cover the number.
- 27:28Speaker 5: And that's me.
- 27:29Speaker 3: So you guys are Lions haters and I'm a true yes, yes,
- 27:32Speaker 3: that's me.
- 27:32Speaker 6: I'm a Lions hater.
- 27:34Speaker 5: We all know.
- 27:34Speaker 2: That it's hard enough to carry the offense in the
- 27:37Speaker 2: receiving game, but to carry your big brother on a
- 27:39Speaker 2: podcast is even more. Jamir Gibbs more or less than
- 27:42Speaker 2: one hundred non scrimmage yards. I think it's more because
- 27:45Speaker 2: Jamir Gibbs has set six point four yards per touch
- 27:50Speaker 2: this season. I know David Montgomery might be back for
- 27:53Speaker 2: this game. I think they get Jamiir Gibbs around the
- 27:55Speaker 2: seventeen eighteen touches that he needs to hit that number.
- 27:58Speaker 2: So I'm confident that Gibbs is going to get more.
- 28:01Speaker 3: The most explosive runs in the NFL are by the
- 28:04Speaker 3: Lions when they're under center, by.
- 28:06Speaker 5: More than twenty explosive runs.
- 28:07Speaker 3: You know what, defense was dead last in success rate
- 28:11Speaker 3: against in.
- 28:12Speaker 5: Terms of under center runs. The commander commanders, what a mismatch?
- 28:16Speaker 5: Forty One's not enough?
- 28:17Speaker 2: Forty one? I love it. Let's go. Let's get Rory
- 28:22Speaker 2: in here.
- 28:22Speaker 6: Rory, be careful. I might leave you know, Kyle for Rory.
- 28:26Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I mean I love Rory.
- 28:28Speaker 4: Rory is amazing, not just the Hall Pass, the entire universe.
- 28:32Speaker 6: Who cares? Everyone would be happy about it.
- 28:34Speaker 2: We're just getting started. Here on game debut coming up,
- 28:37Speaker 2: should Matthew Stafford and the Rams have the Eagles on
- 28:40Speaker 2: upset Alerte, It's gonna be an epic NFC battle between powerhouses.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Who's gonna win and who's gonna line up? The scoreboard
- 28:47Speaker 2: will inform you next on game.
- 28:49Speaker 6: Day will inform you.
- 29:01Speaker 2: Let's look way back to this week twelve matchup the
- 29:04Speaker 2: Rams and the Eagles at so far and yeah, it's
- 29:08Speaker 2: a little bit of foreshadowing because the highlight starts with
- 29:10Speaker 2: Saquon then he puts Christian rose Boom in the air
- 29:13Speaker 2: backwards for four yards.
- 29:15Speaker 4: We I mean, look, stif farm's a good thing to
- 29:19Speaker 4: add to his repertoire, obviously he.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Just needs more tools in the toolbox. They nominate defenders
- 29:25Speaker 2: later on, why not have a seventy yard touchdown. The
- 29:29Speaker 2: Eagles would lead twenty to seven. That was this ninth
- 29:32Speaker 2: rushing touchdown of the season. He had seven games with
- 29:35Speaker 2: one hundred rush yards in the season, second longest run
- 29:39Speaker 2: of his career. Right there, next Eagles possession lead twenty
- 29:41Speaker 2: to fourteen. Hurts hit Saquon, he goes for thirty one yards.
- 29:45Speaker 2: He would finish with four catches for forty seven yards.
- 29:49Speaker 2: And the very next play he would not finish the drive.
- 29:51Speaker 2: Saquon's like, hey, get Kenny G in here so Kenny
- 29:53Speaker 2: G can score thirteen yard touchdown. What do you know
- 29:56Speaker 2: he does just that.
- 29:58Speaker 5: Kenny G's underrated.
- 29:59Speaker 3: I mean they lose a lot when they take Saquon out,
- 30:02Speaker 3: but he's a good bagup.
- 30:03Speaker 2: Yeah, very very good. Been good for a wild next
- 30:06Speaker 2: Rams possession, Matthew Stafford gets sacked. It's Milton Williams Stavord.
- 30:12Speaker 2: Not a decent game, though he finished twenty four to
- 30:13Speaker 2: thirty six two hundred and forty three yards. He was
- 30:16Speaker 2: sacked five times in the fourth quarter, Eagles late thirty
- 30:18Speaker 2: to fourteen. Sakwan on third and six. Good night, everybody.
- 30:23Speaker 4: It's amazing how effortless he makes running that fast look.
- 30:26Speaker 4: The other guys are also fast, but he makes them
- 30:29Speaker 4: look so slow.
- 30:30Speaker 2: And he was still able to do the between the
- 30:32Speaker 2: legs on the touchdown celebrations. Most rushing yards in a
- 30:34Speaker 2: game in franchise history, he had two hundred and fifty five,
- 30:39Speaker 2: and that brings us to home field advantage presented by Zillo.
- 30:42Speaker 2: The Rams and Eagles squared off again Sunday afternoon, Philly
- 30:45Speaker 2: six point favorites at home. LA got beat up the
- 30:49Speaker 2: Vikings last week. They beat up the Vikings last week,
- 30:52Speaker 2: and Glendale should the Eagles after that be on Upsettler.
- 30:55Speaker 3: You should always be an upset alert against Matthew Stafford.
- 30:58Speaker 3: But I do have the Eagles winning this game and
- 31:00Speaker 3: covering the number in the end because I think they
- 31:02Speaker 3: wear down that Rams defense. It's a mismatch physically in
- 31:06Speaker 3: the running game because of the size. This is just
- 31:08Speaker 3: one of the biggest offensive lines that you'll ever see.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Their guards are massive, and then you think about who
- 31:14Speaker 3: they're going up against. You think Braydon Fisk, great season
- 31:17Speaker 3: for him, not a great run defender, can get pushed
- 31:19Speaker 3: around a little bit in the running game. Neville Gallimore
- 31:21Speaker 3: has been on the field a lot for them. Not
- 31:23Speaker 3: a great run defender. They're linebackers Omar Spate's Kristin rosemu
- 31:27Speaker 3: who you saw get face planned by Saquon Barkley. I
- 31:30Speaker 3: just think physically, even at the secondary level at the
- 31:32Speaker 3: cornerback position, not great tackler. So I think matchup wise
- 31:36Speaker 3: it could be close for a while, but the run
- 31:38Speaker 3: game for the Eagles ultimately too much.
- 31:40Speaker 4: I have a seven point win for the Eagles twenty
- 31:42Speaker 4: seven to twenty And I want to talk about the
- 31:45Speaker 4: fact you named all of those awesome rams defensive front players,
- 31:49Speaker 4: and I want to note that last week they got
- 31:51Speaker 4: after Sam Darnold quite a bit. But the problem is
- 31:54Speaker 4: for them this week it's this old line. The Philadelphia
- 31:57Speaker 4: Eagles offensive line is not going to let that happen either.
- 32:01Speaker 4: Is the scheme or game plan between being able to
- 32:03Speaker 4: hand the ball off sake one Barkley, being able to
- 32:05Speaker 4: leverage short, deep outside the numbers, passes a lot of
- 32:08Speaker 4: different things from Jalen Hurts, You're gonna have to respect
- 32:12Speaker 4: the run, the pass, the scramble, all of those things
- 32:14Speaker 4: on every single down, which means as good as that
- 32:17Speaker 4: front is, it puts a lot more pressure on the
- 32:20Speaker 4: back of the defense where they aren't as strong. So
- 32:22Speaker 4: I'm looking at this O line and I'm saying huge advantage,
- 32:25Speaker 4: and especially in playoff games, if you're just like a
- 32:28Speaker 4: passer by who happens to know little something about OH
- 32:31Speaker 4: lines and you want to pick who's going to win
- 32:32Speaker 4: a game, and even if you think it's close, just
- 32:34Speaker 4: always pick the team with the better O line.
- 32:36Speaker 6: In the playoffs, it works out more often than not.
- 32:39Speaker 2: I agree with that advantage, and one thing that kind
- 32:41Speaker 2: of got Philly fans annoyed was how conservative the game
- 32:44Speaker 2: plan was last week. I think it'll be a conservative
- 32:46Speaker 2: plan this week as well, because they have that advantage.
- 32:48Speaker 2: I've got the Eagles twenty five to twenty, and they
- 32:51Speaker 2: can afford to be conservative on offense. But there is
- 32:53Speaker 2: a point. I have a point of contention that I'm
- 32:55Speaker 2: putting this Eagle on watch because they allowed the fewest
- 32:59Speaker 2: yards per attempt when playing zone this season. But when
- 33:02Speaker 2: you look at man, it's the third fuse. They're good everywhere. Guys.
- 33:07Speaker 2: It's so tough to find a spot to challenge this defense,
- 33:10Speaker 2: and you just need to isolate the weakness. But where
- 33:14Speaker 2: is it great on the edge? Darius Slayton made have
- 33:17Speaker 2: one of the best interceptions that we've seen all season
- 33:20Speaker 2: down the sideline on don Tavian Wicks. Carter got doubled
- 33:24Speaker 2: more in that game against the Rams that he has
- 33:26Speaker 2: in any other game this season. They still had that
- 33:28Speaker 2: success late. It's just tough to find the spot. Meme Away,
- 33:32Speaker 2: Rams fans, we have all taken the Philadelphia Eagles. Check
- 33:36Speaker 2: out some player props for this matchup. Those we see
- 33:39Speaker 2: Matthew Stafford around two hundred and twenty six and a
- 33:42Speaker 2: half passing yards, Jalen Hurts a significantly lower number, Eagles
- 33:45Speaker 2: not passing that much two hundred and two and a half,
- 33:47Speaker 2: Sakuon at one hundred and ten and a half on
- 33:49Speaker 2: the ground, Kiroen at just seventy four and a half,
- 33:51Speaker 2: and Pukainakua at seven and a half receptions, bringing us
- 33:55Speaker 2: too more or less, Cynthia, Who's gonna throw for two
- 34:00Speaker 2: or more touchdowns? Matthew Stafford or Jalen Hurts?
- 34:03Speaker 4: Well, I actually have Matthew Stafford throwing for more. Why well,
- 34:06Speaker 4: game script is part of it, and Sequon Barkley is
- 34:08Speaker 4: the other reason.
- 34:09Speaker 6: For that when I'm well, and also with the toush push.
- 34:11Speaker 4: Let's be honest, when I'm looking at Matthew Stafford in
- 34:13Speaker 4: playoff opportunities, he's going to have to be throwing per
- 34:16Speaker 4: how we've all projected this.
- 34:17Speaker 6: Game, and that is actually where he's best.
- 34:19Speaker 4: Right, So, when you're looking at the opportunity here for
- 34:22Speaker 4: Puku Nakua to find some space, is it going to
- 34:25Speaker 4: be easy?
- 34:25Speaker 6: Huhuh?
- 34:26Speaker 4: Is it going to be possible? Absolutely? And that's why
- 34:28Speaker 4: I think passing touchdowns. If you're asking me who's going
- 34:31Speaker 4: to count for two or more touchdowns in general, the
- 34:33Speaker 4: answer would Jalen Hurts. But passing touchdowns, the answer is
- 34:37Speaker 4: Matthew Stafford.
- 34:37Speaker 2: An important caveat there, Let's go to receiving greg who's
- 34:40Speaker 2: more likely to have eighty receiving yards? Aj Brown or puk.
- 34:44Speaker 5: I went back and forth.
- 34:45Speaker 3: I think there are two of the best four wide
- 34:47Speaker 3: receivers in the entire NFL. Last week they actually didn't
- 34:50Speaker 3: combine for eighty yards in the playoff game. But I'm
- 34:52Speaker 3: going Puka Nakua because he has such a high target
- 34:55Speaker 3: share and yards per route run. This season one of
- 34:58Speaker 3: the most efficient seasons in wide receiver history. And ultimately
- 35:04Speaker 3: my game script is that they're going to be trailing,
- 35:07Speaker 3: and I actually think it's a problem for them that
- 35:09Speaker 3: they're so Puka dependent. Really, he's the source of all
- 35:13Speaker 3: their big plays and almost all their receptions. In a
- 35:16Speaker 3: lot of weeks, Cooper Cups production has really gone down.
- 35:19Speaker 3: But for a choice like this, I think it could
- 35:22Speaker 3: be a goddter Gamer, it could be a DeVante Smith,
- 35:24Speaker 3: you'd never know, and yet it's always a Puka Nakua game.
- 35:27Speaker 5: So I am going Puka Nakua.
- 35:28Speaker 4: Fun fact about AJ Brown other than the fact that
- 35:31Speaker 4: he obviously reads on the sidelines and watched inter Excellence
- 35:34Speaker 4: is going to be a great book that will all
- 35:35Speaker 4: be reading this offseason.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Oh for sure.
- 35:37Speaker 4: But when you're looking at the opportunity to throw outside
- 35:40Speaker 4: the numbers, AJ Brown is the guy who does it
- 35:43Speaker 4: the most often. That was part of the game plan
- 35:45Speaker 4: last time around. So it's possible AJ Brown could earn
- 35:48Speaker 4: eighty yards just before the game script gets out of
- 35:51Speaker 4: control on those outside throws. But again, I'm with you
- 35:54Speaker 4: that it's more likely to be Puka based on gamescript.
- 35:57Speaker 2: So much to figure out in this game. I figured
- 35:59Speaker 2: out I'm going to write a book as well. Shout
- 36:01Speaker 2: out to inter Excellence.
- 36:01Speaker 6: What about Outer Excellence?
- 36:03Speaker 3: Were other people which Terranian Winning?
- 36:06Speaker 2: Yes, Subterranean Winning is going to be in bookstores this fall.
- 36:09Speaker 2: You heard it here first over four and a half receptions,
- 36:12Speaker 2: Cooper cup or Devonte Smith. I'm actually gonna take Davonte
- 36:15Speaker 2: Smith in this one. There was that big play for
- 36:17Speaker 2: Matthew Stafford to Cooper cup at last week in the
- 36:20Speaker 2: win against the Vikings, which was kind of a dagger,
- 36:22Speaker 2: but the Philadelphia Eagles in their wild card game had
- 36:26Speaker 2: twenty eight passing yards before Jalen Hurts hooked up with
- 36:28Speaker 2: Davonte Smith twice on the drive that Dallas Goddard finally
- 36:33Speaker 2: finished things up with a touchdown here. I think getting
- 36:36Speaker 2: five catches easy money for the slim Reaper in this one,
- 36:41Speaker 2: but in.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Fact he actually has the second most yards off of
- 36:43Speaker 4: hitch routes since twenty twenty one, second two only Stefon Diggs.
- 36:46Speaker 3: And I give a ton of credit to a Calla
- 36:48Speaker 3: Witherspoon and Darius Williams who have stepped in as these
- 36:50Speaker 3: veterans for the Rams. And yet I kind of think
- 36:54Speaker 3: the Eagles had a little bit of a warm up
- 36:56Speaker 3: game last week they got into the playoffs. Jalen Hurts
- 37:00Speaker 3: hadn't played for a while. I think the passing game
- 37:02Speaker 3: will be better this week than.
- 37:02Speaker 4: A William's got a J Brown kind of ya had
- 37:07Speaker 4: had a lot of yards against Well.
- 37:09Speaker 2: We'll see if the Rams can force the Eagles put
- 37:10Speaker 2: their foot on the gasket that passive game going more.
- 37:13Speaker 2: They's just to use their advantages and run all over
- 37:15Speaker 2: them like they did across the street earlier this season.
- 37:18Speaker 2: Get sat for Divisional playoff weekends Saturday at noon and
- 37:21Speaker 2: Sunday at eleven am Eastern with NFL Game Day morning.
- 37:24Speaker 2: On Saturday, Max Crosby joins us in studio to break
- 37:27Speaker 2: down how the Texans can slow down Patrick Mahomes plus
- 37:30Speaker 2: Kimmy check sits down with Kansas City Chiefs pro bowler
- 37:33Speaker 2: Chris Jones all that more Saturday at noon.
- 37:36Speaker 6: Funny, I just realized what time the show was on.
- 37:39Speaker 6: I didn't even know.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Okay, you need to stand tough, though, like Max Crosby,
- 37:43Speaker 3: you in the end look a little soft when he's
- 37:45Speaker 3: posing like that.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Well it's intimidating than him.
- 37:49Speaker 6: Do you really have to? So?
- 37:50Speaker 2: There six six in that photo Tom for Expert Playmakers
- 37:53Speaker 2: presented by Into a TurboTax. Terry mcclarin is Jayden Daniel's
- 37:56Speaker 2: favorite targets and you only have more than sixty seven
- 37:59Speaker 2: receiving yards against your lion Saturday.
- 38:01Speaker 4: He will why because this is a DeFi that is
- 38:04Speaker 4: still injured.
- 38:06Speaker 6: They're not fixed yet.
- 38:07Speaker 4: And you know who knows that, Cliff Kingsbury, You know
- 38:09Speaker 4: who else knows that? Jaden Daniels and Terry mccorrn himself
- 38:12Speaker 4: also knows it. They will find ways to match him
- 38:14Speaker 4: up against the missing Carlton Davis, against the missing pieces
- 38:18Speaker 4: of any part of the defense. So I think this
- 38:21Speaker 4: is a bad matchup if you're a Lions fan, a
- 38:23Speaker 4: good match up if you're a Terry Mclaorran fan, which
- 38:25Speaker 4: I'm actually both.
- 38:26Speaker 3: He did have good news with Terry and Arnolds returning.
- 38:29Speaker 3: He will play and he could be the only reason
- 38:32Speaker 3: why Terry wouldn't hit this number just because he has
- 38:34Speaker 3: pass interferences and traps are.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Say, does that mean he'll score a touchdown then? And
- 38:40Speaker 4: the yardage might not be anything.
- 38:41Speaker 5: I'm with you, though I like Terry.
- 38:43Speaker 3: Despite me saying that the lines are gonna win easy,
- 38:45Speaker 3: actually think the Commander's offense could have a really good day.
- 38:47Speaker 5: I just think twenty eight points might not be good
- 38:50Speaker 5: to be even that close.
- 38:51Speaker 2: Yeah, a really good there. Because Commander's Lines is the
- 38:53Speaker 2: highest over under of the week at fifty five and
- 38:55Speaker 2: a half years. A look at all the divisional round
- 38:58Speaker 2: projected point totals, it leading the way of the Ravens, Bills, Rams, Eagles,
- 39:02Speaker 2: and then Texans Chiefs pulling up the rear there at
- 39:05Speaker 2: forty one and a half points. Top for write this down.
- 39:07Speaker 2: Let's get us some predictions in the NFC kick us off.
- 39:10Speaker 3: Greg, I will start with my guy, Jared Goff. He's
- 39:14Speaker 3: my guy, now, why not? He's a Merrick, you guy,
- 39:17Speaker 3: he is America guy. It was a typo when I
- 39:19Speaker 3: saw the passing numbers for this game are two hundred and.
- 39:22Speaker 5: Seventy one and a half.
- 39:23Speaker 3: Easy money, because I think the Lions are going to
- 39:27Speaker 3: pass to set up the run. They have a lot
- 39:29Speaker 3: of advantages in the running game. Washington knows that. I
- 39:31Speaker 3: think early on they're going to be very aggressive. They
- 39:34Speaker 3: use all four downs. Marshall and Lattimore has not panned
- 39:37Speaker 3: out so far for the Commanders, so I think he
- 39:40Speaker 3: could get about two hundred in the first half and
- 39:42Speaker 3: then cruise to this.
- 39:43Speaker 6: Okay, well again, I hope.
- 39:44Speaker 4: So I'm having David Montgomery score a touchdown in his
- 39:48Speaker 4: return against the Commanders. You talked about those under center
- 39:52Speaker 4: runs when the quarterbacks under center, Well, both running backs,
- 39:55Speaker 4: him and Jamier Gibbs both have eight and they're the
- 39:58Speaker 4: duo with the most since last season when they combined
- 40:00Speaker 4: for twenty two, which they probably would have had had
- 40:03Speaker 4: David Montgomery been held the whole season. But whatever, he's
- 40:05Speaker 4: going to score a touchdown in this one. Again, dear
- 40:08Speaker 4: script makers, please listen to me. Thank you very much, xoxo, Cynthia.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Some my sakeingd note, So not only are their script makers,
- 40:15Speaker 2: but their deities that you can pray to. I've got,
- 40:17Speaker 2: obviously going over fifty four and a half receiving yards
- 40:21Speaker 2: against the Rams. He's only played in five games this
- 40:23Speaker 2: year where he didn't hit that number. Already told you.
- 40:26Speaker 2: I think he's going to have more than five catches.
- 40:27Speaker 2: I think a couple of them are going to be
- 40:29Speaker 2: longer than the ten plus yards and he's gonna get
- 40:31Speaker 2: fifty four and a half receiving yards in a great
- 40:33Speaker 2: divisional weekend. I can't wait, guys.
- 40:36Speaker 3: I love these matchups and they're big numbers, and that
- 40:40Speaker 3: just means we're going to have one massive upset.
- 40:42Speaker 5: It's just hard to predict which one it's going to be.
- 40:43Speaker 2: I say Texans, so they does not want it to
- 40:46Speaker 2: be the Lions. But we do want to see you
- 40:48Speaker 2: guys next week. Enjoy the visional weekend. Thanks for watching.
