Latest / Solomonster Sounds Off / WWE Smackdown 4/3/26 Review | THE WORST SHOW ON TELEVISION AND IT'S NOT EVEN CLOSE
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Last week I said SmackDown was a shit show, and
- 0:03Speaker 1: it was. Last week smackdn was just fucking horrendous. And
- 0:08Speaker 1: it seems to me like, as we are only a
- 0:10Speaker 1: couple of weeks away from WrestleMania, WWE is intent to
- 0:13Speaker 1: try to top themselves each week. How can we make
- 0:18Speaker 1: this show exponentially worse with each passing week? We're two
- 0:24Speaker 1: weeks away from WrestleMania. That is where this show can go.
- 0:34Speaker 1: You can flush this show right down the commode. As
- 0:40Speaker 1: somebody in the reply said when I posted a link
- 0:43Speaker 1: to this stream on my x account, call it eleven
- 0:48Speaker 1: o'clock PM Eastern time, time of death tag the toe.
- 0:55Speaker 1: This show is dead on arrival. You know. The sad
- 1:01Speaker 1: thing is when I found out that they were pivoting
- 1:05Speaker 1: to Cody Roads against Randy Orton at WrestleMania. And I mean, look,
- 1:09Speaker 1: you've heard me talk about this before many, many many
- 1:11Speaker 1: times in many SmackDown reviews over the last couple of years.
- 1:16Speaker 1: But that is a match that I was actually looking
- 1:17Speaker 1: forward to seeing. I'm not talking about a one off
- 1:20Speaker 1: last year. I'm talking about a proper match between Cody
- 1:24Speaker 1: Rhoads and Randy Orton. What more, d in need, right,
- 1:28Speaker 1: You've got Cody and Randy. Two are the biggest stars
- 1:30Speaker 1: on the brand. You've got Cody and Randy, two guys
- 1:32Speaker 1: that have a lot of history that goes back many
- 1:34Speaker 1: many years to when Cody first started his career in WWE.
- 1:38Speaker 1: You've got Randy Orton, a man. Fifteen world championships is
- 1:42Speaker 1: what he's looking for. He hasn't been a world champion
- 1:44Speaker 1: in six years. Everything you need, the building blocks for
- 1:47Speaker 1: a great WrestleMania main event were there just with those
- 1:51Speaker 1: two guys. That's really all you needed, Like, you don't
- 1:57Speaker 1: have to reinvent the wheel with this stuff. So it
- 2:00Speaker 1: was going to be Cody and Roman. That was one
- 2:02Speaker 1: of the rumors, Cody Roman three, and then it was
- 2:04Speaker 1: going to be maybe Cody and Drew, and then maybe
- 2:06Speaker 1: it was going to be Cody, Drew and Jacob. We
- 2:08Speaker 1: had all these different stories and all these different rumors
- 2:10Speaker 1: and all these everything that was being talked about in
- 2:13Speaker 1: the last couple of months as we were building to
- 2:15Speaker 1: WrestleMania and what that WrestleMania main event on Night one
- 2:19Speaker 1: would look like. And we end up with Cody Rhodes
- 2:21Speaker 1: and Randy Orton, and it's like Okay, you know what,
- 2:23Speaker 1: not a bad place to be a proper program between
- 2:28Speaker 1: these two men. Finally, for the first time since Cody
- 2:31Speaker 1: came back to the company in twenty twenty two, I'm
- 2:33Speaker 1: sold Roman Reigns and c im Punk that first Raw
- 2:37Speaker 1: after the Royal Rumble, that first face to face between
- 2:39Speaker 1: them on Raw, I'm sold. And all of a sudden,
- 2:43Speaker 1: I was feeling pretty good about where this company was
- 2:45Speaker 1: in terms of the main events going into their biggest
- 2:47Speaker 1: show of the year. I was feeling pretty good. And
- 2:50Speaker 1: then last week we had whatever the fuck that was
- 2:53Speaker 1: at the end of the show with the big pull
- 2:54Speaker 1: apart brawl that would never end. That was the first
- 2:57Speaker 1: real misstep when it came to Cody and Randy on
- 3:00Speaker 1: this road to WrestleMania. Boy, did they hit a fucking
- 3:03Speaker 1: speed bump on the roads to WrestleMania last week. But
- 3:07Speaker 1: I said, you know what, they still have time. They've
- 3:08Speaker 1: got a couple of weeks to course correct here. We'll
- 3:11Speaker 1: forget about that segment. We'll see how they follow it up,
- 3:13Speaker 1: and then what do we end up with. We end
- 3:15Speaker 1: up with the phone call. Randy Orton has been talking
- 3:19Speaker 1: to somebody on the phone now for the last couple
- 3:21Speaker 1: of weeks, So we don't know who this person is, right,
- 3:25Speaker 1: another mystery angle. Wwe loves doing mystery angles. Here at
- 3:30Speaker 1: least we didn't have anybody dressed up in all black
- 3:33Speaker 1: from head to toe as a ninja. Randy Orton's on
- 3:37Speaker 1: the phone. Who's Randy Orton on the phone with? Is
- 3:39Speaker 1: he on the phone with Cowboy Bob with the cast
- 3:41Speaker 1: on his arm? Is he on the phone with Kevin Owens?
- 3:45Speaker 1: Is Kevin Owens going to factor into this in some way?
- 3:49Speaker 1: He may not be ready to come back to the rain,
- 3:51Speaker 1: but boy, there's history there with Kevin Owens and Randy
- 3:53Speaker 1: Orton and Cody Roads. It would kind of make sense
- 3:55Speaker 1: to work Ko into things. Maybe it's Kevin Owens. Then
- 3:58Speaker 1: we watched Raw Monday night, Stephanie McMahon shows up. Has
- 4:03Speaker 1: he been on the phone with Stephanie McMahon. God, I
- 4:05Speaker 1: hope not. That you have all these brain dead, fucking
- 4:08Speaker 1: idiots on social media. Maybe it's Vince mcmire, not one
- 4:13Speaker 1: functioning brain selling their fucking heads so believe me. As
- 4:17Speaker 1: bad as tonight was, it could always be worse. But
- 4:20Speaker 1: there were so many names being thrown around about who
- 4:23Speaker 1: could have been the one on the phone with Randy Orton, right,
- 4:25Speaker 1: Rick Flair, Batista, all these names that people were thrown around,
- 4:28Speaker 1: And the problem is when you do an angle like this,
- 4:31Speaker 1: unless you unless you stick the landing, more often than not,
- 4:36Speaker 1: it blows up in your face more often than not.
- 4:39Speaker 1: You can't possibly please all of the people that have
- 4:42Speaker 1: built up these expectations, these unreasonable expectations in their mind
- 4:46Speaker 1: for what they are expecting. Of course, the Rock was
- 4:49Speaker 1: another name that was floated, and the Rock would have
- 4:52Speaker 1: been a big one. The Rock would have been a
- 4:54Speaker 1: big one. There's the connection to Cody. Not for a
- 4:58Speaker 1: second that I honestly believe that Dwayne was going to
- 5:00Speaker 1: come back to wrestle Mania this year in this way.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But I could see where people would put two and
- 5:05Speaker 1: two together and say, hey, maybe he's on the phone
- 5:08Speaker 1: with you know, look, Rock is on the board. So
- 5:11Speaker 1: everyone had their own ideas for what this was going
- 5:13Speaker 1: to be. And then we found out that we were
- 5:16Speaker 1: going to get the reveal on the show tonight, so
- 5:19Speaker 1: they weren't going to wait until Wrestlemanie. We were going
- 5:21Speaker 1: to find out tonight who that person was. You know,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I said, bring back the punt kick, bring back the
- 5:29Speaker 1: punt kick. I didn't say bring back the punt kicker.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Two totally different things. Yes, Pat McAfee is back the announcer.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I mean, I know he's done some matches in WWE before,
- 5:45Speaker 1: but he's a fucking announcer and hasn't even been around
- 5:48Speaker 1: for a while. He did a IG Q and A
- 5:52Speaker 1: a few weeks ago where he was answering questions and
- 5:55Speaker 1: he said that, you know, I think my time in
- 5:57Speaker 1: WWE has come and gone. I think my time has passed. Basically.
- 6:02Speaker 1: You know, he's got all these other things going on.
- 6:04Speaker 1: He's got his ESPN show, and he's got I think
- 6:07Speaker 1: he's got another kid on the way, he's got college
- 6:09Speaker 1: game day. He doesn't need this. His time has come
- 6:13Speaker 1: and gone. And you know what, I'm completely indifferent towards
- 6:16Speaker 1: Pat McAfee as an announcer. I've heard worse. Do I
- 6:20Speaker 1: miss him on commentary? No? I don't. Did I hate
- 6:24Speaker 1: him on commentary? I would? I hate a strong word.
- 6:29Speaker 1: I could take it or leave it with Pat McAfee,
- 6:31Speaker 1: but I thought that was the end of it, and
- 6:33Speaker 1: apparently not. There's always a plan. It might be a
- 6:37Speaker 1: shitty plan, but there's always a plan. Randy Orton and
- 6:41Speaker 1: Cody Rhodes, they're out there. They're brawling, two brawling birds
- 6:46Speaker 1: in the opening segment here Tonight on SmackDown. And then
- 6:50Speaker 1: who is it that I see shows up in the
- 6:51Speaker 1: ring wearing shades and a Randy Orton shirt. It is
- 6:55Speaker 1: Pat McAfee who kicks Cody Rhodes in the dick. And
- 6:59Speaker 1: if that sounds familiar to you, it's because a year ago,
- 7:03Speaker 1: a year ago, on the road to WrestleMania, we sat
- 7:05Speaker 1: through the exact same thing. We had John Cena kick
- 7:11Speaker 1: Cody Rhoads in the dick, and then he did it again,
- 7:13Speaker 1: by the way at WrestleMania, and we had the alliance
- 7:17Speaker 1: of John Cena and The Rock and Travis Scott and
- 7:22Speaker 1: everybody was all excited with the talk of the town,
- 7:24Speaker 1: right the biggest angle in years in WWE. Except The
- 7:28Speaker 1: Rock decided, you know what, I don't want to be
- 7:30Speaker 1: a part of this anymore. I think I'll go home
- 7:33Speaker 1: and I'll watch on TV with everybody else. And then
- 7:36Speaker 1: at WrestleMania we had Feen Fien Feen, and Travis Scott
- 7:41Speaker 1: comes out and factors into the finish of the WrestleMania
- 7:44Speaker 1: main event. That is what we were left with a
- 7:45Speaker 1: year ago. And do you remember the whole John Cena
- 7:47Speaker 1: thing where he went heel and the whole story was
- 7:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna ruin wrestling. He turned heel, he said he
- 7:55Speaker 1: wanted to ruin wrestling. He had his celebrity sidekick, and
- 7:58Speaker 1: he kicked Cody Roads in the dick and he won
- 8:00Speaker 1: the championship. And now here we are, one fucking year later,
- 8:05Speaker 1: and instead of just giving us Cody Roads and Randy Orton, no, no, no, no, no,
- 8:08Speaker 1: it's not good enough. We need to have another celebrity
- 8:11Speaker 1: involved here. We have to introduce another celebrity figure to
- 8:14Speaker 1: try to excite people because they're not excited enough. We're
- 8:17Speaker 1: not selling as many tickets as we would have liked to.
- 8:20Speaker 1: We're eighteen percent behind where we were last year. They
- 8:24Speaker 1: announced Johnsen as the host of WrestleMania to try to,
- 8:27Speaker 1: you know, jazz up the ticket sales. Apparently it didn't
- 8:29Speaker 1: make much of a difference. They're barely over forty thousand
- 8:33Speaker 1: tickets sold for either night, which is not exactly a
- 8:36Speaker 1: terrible number, but it's behind where they were last year.
- 8:40Speaker 1: So what can we do to try to jazz up
- 8:42Speaker 1: ticket sales. What can we do to try to jazz
- 8:45Speaker 1: up the excitement for WrestleMania this year. Oh, I know.
- 8:48Speaker 1: We'll bring back Pat McAfee and we'll make him Randy
- 8:51Speaker 1: Orton's manager. We'll make him Randy Orton's sidekick, and we'll
- 8:55Speaker 1: make it that he was the one who was on
- 8:58Speaker 1: the phone with Randy Orton Randy or and said last week,
- 9:00Speaker 1: I don't listen to any voices other than the ones
- 9:03Speaker 1: in my head except one. There's one more voice that
- 9:05Speaker 1: I listened to, and apparently that voice is Pat McAfee.
- 9:12Speaker 1: And now he is back on WWE television. So to
- 9:15Speaker 1: recap the last few weeks on WWE television, including tonight,
- 9:19Speaker 1: we have Pat McAfee. We have jelly Roll, and I'm
- 9:23Speaker 1: not even sure jelly Roll will be at WrestleMania, but
- 9:26Speaker 1: he's certainly been all over this fucking show the last
- 9:28Speaker 1: few weeks. He wasn't there tonight, but we have Pat McAfee,
- 9:31Speaker 1: we have jelly Roll, we have I Show Speed, and
- 9:35Speaker 1: tonight we had Lil YACHTI who was hanging around with
- 9:38Speaker 1: Frick Williams. WWE has become Fantasy Camp. That's what this
- 9:44Speaker 1: company has become. This product has become fantasy camp. You know,
- 9:46Speaker 1: they have like baseball fantasy camp. You could pay like
- 9:48Speaker 1: three thousand dollars or whatever the fuck it is, and
- 9:50Speaker 1: you can go and you can live out your dreams
- 9:52Speaker 1: as a baseball player for two or three days and
- 9:54Speaker 1: hang out with some players. WWE has become fantasy camp
- 9:58Speaker 1: for influenza and people, celebrities on social media. If you
- 10:02Speaker 1: have a large following on social media, if you are
- 10:06Speaker 1: an influencer, if you are a celebrity, if you have
- 10:08Speaker 1: a name, you can be on WWE television and do
- 10:11Speaker 1: exactly what the WWE superstars do, and they will glom
- 10:15Speaker 1: onto you and try to suck you dry of whatever
- 10:18Speaker 1: it is that you can do, whatever it is that
- 10:20Speaker 1: you can bring to the product, whatever sort of attention
- 10:23Speaker 1: that they crave so much, whatever sort of attention you
- 10:27Speaker 1: can bring, you can come in and you can be
- 10:29Speaker 1: a part of the WWE family. That's what it's become now.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I know, it's WrestleMania season and there's always celebrities involved
- 10:38Speaker 1: in WrestleMania. That's not really the issue. That's fine, that's cool.
- 10:41Speaker 1: There have been some very important celebrities that have been
- 10:43Speaker 1: involved in WrestleMania history. But I cannot remember a period
- 10:47Speaker 1: of time in the history of this company, and I fully,
- 10:50Speaker 1: but one hundred percent believe this is all TKO. This
- 10:54Speaker 1: is all TKO. I cannot remember a period of time
- 10:58Speaker 1: where we have had this many celebrities influencers that are
- 11:02Speaker 1: all like all at the same time. I have celebrity
- 11:05Speaker 1: fatigue on this show. There's so many talents that aren't
- 11:08Speaker 1: even on the WrestleMania card. Now I know why, because
- 11:12Speaker 1: we have to make room for all the celebrities and
- 11:14Speaker 1: all the influenzers. And that's and it's not even WrestleMania.
- 11:18Speaker 1: We're getting it on television every single week. It didn't
- 11:22Speaker 1: really hit me until the show was over to now
- 11:24Speaker 1: we didn't even have anything related to the United States
- 11:27Speaker 1: Championship on the women's side. I mean, there's still a
- 11:29Speaker 1: couple of smackdowns left. I suppose they could still add something,
- 11:32Speaker 1: but as things stand, there will be no women's US
- 11:35Speaker 1: title mager WrestleMania, which would make it the only championship
- 11:38Speaker 1: not being defended on that show, which that would be
- 11:41Speaker 1: quite the decision. But they think that by dressing this
- 11:45Speaker 1: product up as something that is the hot thing, right
- 11:51Speaker 1: the WWE product is super hot right now, and all
- 11:54Speaker 1: the celebrities they want to be involved, they want to
- 11:56Speaker 1: be a part of it. It's the hip cool sort
- 11:59Speaker 1: of you know, one thing to do, you can do that.
- 12:04Speaker 1: You could dress it up anyway you want. It's like
- 12:05Speaker 1: putting lipstick on a pig. You can do it. But
- 12:08Speaker 1: you cannot change the fact that at the end of
- 12:10Speaker 1: the day, this show is dog shit. Dog shit. That
- 12:16Speaker 1: is what SmackDown has become. This is not a one off.
- 12:20Speaker 1: This is not well they had a bad week. Every
- 12:22Speaker 1: fucking week is a bad week. And all the times
- 12:27Speaker 1: to shit the bed, you shit the bed weeks before WrestleMania.
- 12:31Speaker 1: Good job. Doesn't change the fact that by bringing in
- 12:37Speaker 1: all of these outside names and doing all the shit
- 12:41Speaker 1: that they have been doing, it is not making the
- 12:43Speaker 1: show better. It is actively making the show worse. It
- 12:47Speaker 1: is actively dragging this show down into the dumps. Pat
- 12:52Speaker 1: McAfee comes out there, he admits on television that's turning
- 12:56Speaker 1: it into a storyline that the current product is dog shit.
- 12:59Speaker 1: He's out there reminiscing about the attitude era. What what what?
- 13:05Speaker 1: It just smell? How many other fucking wrestlers could he
- 13:09Speaker 1: have imitated tonight. Maybe he could roll his eyes in
- 13:13Speaker 1: the back of his head like the Undertaker. Maybe put
- 13:15Speaker 1: a fucking sock on his hand like Mankind, put a
- 13:18Speaker 1: mask on like Caine, make fire, shoot out of the
- 13:20Speaker 1: ring posts. How about instead of airing SmackDown every week,
- 13:25Speaker 1: you just run three hours of an Attitude era marathon.
- 13:29Speaker 1: I don't know, the ratings may actually go up. He's
- 13:33Speaker 1: out there admitting that the product sucks, and he's talking
- 13:36Speaker 1: about what has happened the days of Stone Cold and
- 13:39Speaker 1: The Rock and all those fans that major product what
- 13:41Speaker 1: it is today and you're chasing away you know, all
- 13:44Speaker 1: of these fans, they've been forgotten about. And he says,
- 13:47Speaker 1: this is what he's saying, goes, now, I have to
- 13:49Speaker 1: watch two five foot five guys do a forty five
- 13:51Speaker 1: minute iron Man match ten weeks straight for no rhyme
- 13:54Speaker 1: or reason. And he's out there talking about how and
- 13:58Speaker 1: he said this on TV. We have WrestleMania coming up,
- 14:02Speaker 1: and somehow we're not sold out for WrestleMania. We're not
- 14:07Speaker 1: sold out in Las Vegas. This is what he said.
- 14:09Speaker 1: He said, Randy Orton is standing right here, yet we're
- 14:13Speaker 1: not sold out for WrestleMania, and I know what they
- 14:15Speaker 1: were trying to say, but you're out there admitting that
- 14:18Speaker 1: WrestleMania is not sold out and you're struggling to sell tickets, which,
- 14:21Speaker 1: by the way, the reason you're struggling to sell tickets
- 14:23Speaker 1: is because you've overpriced everybody out of buying those tickets.
- 14:27Speaker 1: But put that aside for a second. You're admitting that
- 14:31Speaker 1: wresse does he like Randy Orton is in the main
- 14:34Speaker 1: event of WrestleMania, Like, do you not realize how this
- 14:37Speaker 1: comes off and how this sounds. You have built this
- 14:40Speaker 1: WrestleMania around one of two main events that involves Randy Orton.
- 14:44Speaker 1: And yet, yes, you're right, WrestleMania is not sold out,
- 14:48Speaker 1: it will not sell out, it is not close to
- 14:50Speaker 1: selling out. But that is with Randy Orton in the
- 14:52Speaker 1: WrestleMania Maine event, not exactly the flex that they thought
- 14:55Speaker 1: it was. But they're incorporating this into the storyline how
- 14:58Speaker 1: shitty the product is and how they can't sell out
- 15:01Speaker 1: their biggest show of the year because they're shooting. It's
- 15:05Speaker 1: a worked shoot. They're taking the Russeau crash TV approach
- 15:11Speaker 1: here in this angle because they're trying to be like
- 15:13Speaker 1: the Attitude era, except they will never ever be like
- 15:17Speaker 1: the Attitude era, and everybody knows the product will never
- 15:20Speaker 1: go back to that because it can't go back to that,
- 15:22Speaker 1: and in many ways it shouldn't go back to it.
- 15:24Speaker 1: But all the things that did make that era so
- 15:26Speaker 1: much fun are dead and buried. There is no going
- 15:29Speaker 1: back to it. And people know that WWE will never
- 15:31Speaker 1: go back to it because they serve too many masters now,
- 15:35Speaker 1: there's too many sponsors, there's too many things that exist
- 15:39Speaker 1: today when it comes to the WWE product that did
- 15:42Speaker 1: not exist back then, you cannot go back to the
- 15:45Speaker 1: way things were doing. An angle like this is not
- 15:48Speaker 1: gonna make things all of a sudden go back to
- 15:49Speaker 1: the attitude there. I remember when Raw moved to Netflix,
- 15:51Speaker 1: and there were so many people who were like, oh,
- 15:53Speaker 1: Raw's gonna go to Netflix. Now, the handcuffs are going
- 15:55Speaker 1: to be off, man, gonna be dropping f bombs on
- 15:57Speaker 1: TV every week and be like no, no, And of
- 16:02Speaker 1: course they didn't. And there were some people, I'm sure
- 16:05Speaker 1: who were shocked by this and couldn't understand this was Netflix.
- 16:07Speaker 1: How come they can't be more risque? How come we
- 16:10Speaker 1: can't have a TV fourteen product on Netflix, Like, what
- 16:16Speaker 1: do they think is going to be accomplished by pointing
- 16:18Speaker 1: out all of these things on the actual television show?
- 16:21Speaker 1: And when WrestleMania comes and goes and this angle is over,
- 16:24Speaker 1: you're going to be right back with the same current
- 16:26Speaker 1: product that you have now, Like, I don't understand it.
- 16:31Speaker 1: The reason they're doing this, at least in part, is
- 16:34Speaker 1: because what they are trying to do, they are trying
- 16:36Speaker 1: to get Cody Rhoades cheered and Randy Orton booed. And
- 16:40Speaker 1: it is something even tonight in Saint Louis, of all places,
- 16:43Speaker 1: they did this in Saint Louis, which is Randy Orton's hometown.
- 16:46Speaker 1: So it was never gonna work tonight, and it's not
- 16:48Speaker 1: going to work at WrestleMania. If it works, it'll work
- 16:50Speaker 1: a little bit, but it's not going to get the
- 16:51Speaker 1: reaction that they're hoping to get. So they're hoping that
- 16:54Speaker 1: Pat McAfee can go out there and he can heal
- 16:56Speaker 1: on the hometown. He can he can talk about all
- 16:58Speaker 1: this stuff, and he can insult people, and it's going
- 17:00Speaker 1: to get more heat on Randy Orton. People are going
- 17:03Speaker 1: to cheer Randy Orton regardless but in terms of like
- 17:08Speaker 1: why did they do this? Whose ideas you could put
- 17:11Speaker 1: all on Paul Levec, you really can't. Now I'm not
- 17:14Speaker 1: going to sit here and defend Triple H because I
- 17:16Speaker 1: think the mask has slipped and people see Triple H
- 17:18Speaker 1: is not the end all be all. He's not the savior,
- 17:20Speaker 1: and I think people have realized that for a while now.
- 17:23Speaker 1: But I did notice a tweet that Dave Meltzer posted
- 17:25Speaker 1: during the show tonight when I don't even know what
- 17:27Speaker 1: the tweet was that he was replying to, but I
- 17:30Speaker 1: did see that Meltzer tweeted it was an ARI call,
- 17:34Speaker 1: meaning that the decision to have Pat McAfee involved in
- 17:37Speaker 1: this angle and the decision to have Pat McAfee revealed
- 17:39Speaker 1: as the caller was an ARI am manual decision. And
- 17:43Speaker 1: I think I saw something else. I don't know where
- 17:46Speaker 1: it was from, what the source was that it was citing,
- 17:50Speaker 1: but it seems like this was not something that the
- 17:52Speaker 1: WWE creative team came up with. And I'm not even
- 17:56Speaker 1: sure that means who the reveal would be. This whole
- 17:59Speaker 1: angle sounds like was the brainchild of Ari Emmanuel. Why
- 18:04Speaker 1: would that be? Why would that be? There was a
- 18:06Speaker 1: story about a month or two ago in the New
- 18:08Speaker 1: York Post. Guess who's representing Pat McAfee super agent Ari Emmanuel.
- 18:15Speaker 1: He's Pat McAfee's agent. He's the one who said he
- 18:19Speaker 1: wants to turn Pat McAfee into the next Sylvester Stallone.
- 18:22Speaker 1: He's been trying to get him more acting roles. So
- 18:27Speaker 1: I can one hundred percent believe that this was an
- 18:29Speaker 1: Ari Emmanuel call. Again, I feel like deja vous all
- 18:32Speaker 1: over again. We heard about this a year ago. It
- 18:35Speaker 1: was Ari Emmanuel. The Rock admitted it. Ari Emmanuel is
- 18:38Speaker 1: the one who picked up the phone and called the
- 18:39Speaker 1: Rock and said, Rock, we need you. We got to
- 18:43Speaker 1: sell some more tickets to the Elimination Chamber. Tickets are
- 18:45Speaker 1: not selling as well for the Elimination Chamber as we thought.
- 18:49Speaker 1: We got a gin up ticket sales, so we need
- 18:51Speaker 1: you to come back. And thus the Rock wanting Cody's
- 18:55Speaker 1: soul was born, which then led to the John Cena
- 18:59Speaker 1: heal term, which was fucking terrible. We don't have to
- 19:02Speaker 1: re litigate that whole thing. This is the second year
- 19:04Speaker 1: in a row now that Ari Emanuel, if this report
- 19:07Speaker 1: is to be believed, has effectively sabotaged one of, if
- 19:12Speaker 1: not the top angle on the television show going into
- 19:14Speaker 1: WrestleMania in the name of I don't know, trying to
- 19:18Speaker 1: gin up ticket sales. Pat McAfee show is on ESPN.
- 19:21Speaker 1: This is the first year that WrestleMania is airing in
- 19:24Speaker 1: part on ESPN. I'm sure there's a tie in there.
- 19:28Speaker 1: That's why this is happening. This is not some great
- 19:31Speaker 1: creative idea. Oh, we've got this great long term story
- 19:33Speaker 1: that we've come up with. No, it's short term bullshit.
- 19:37Speaker 1: That is completely fucking up one of the main stories
- 19:40Speaker 1: on this television show. So they had to create this
- 19:44Speaker 1: story around well, we got to get Patent involved somehow,
- 19:48Speaker 1: and so this is how we'll do it. Nothing good
- 19:53Speaker 1: comes from TKO and the upper management, the upper hierarchy
- 19:57Speaker 1: at TKO getting involved creatively in WWE. Which is not
- 20:02Speaker 1: to say that the creative was so great beforehand. But
- 20:05Speaker 1: when you start hearing stories about upper management than the
- 20:09Speaker 1: CEO or the president of the company making phone calls
- 20:12Speaker 1: and getting involved in the creative aspect of the company,
- 20:16Speaker 1: we have gone off the rails here. Nothing good is
- 20:19Speaker 1: going to come from that. And it sounds like that's
- 20:22Speaker 1: what we're dealing with here. Pat McAfee is going to
- 20:27Speaker 1: be the next Sylvester Stallone. Good luck with that. I
- 20:33Speaker 1: guess he's trying out his acting chops now on WWE,
- 20:36Speaker 1: at least until we get to WrestleMania. So then later
- 20:41Speaker 1: on there was a tweet that was put out by
- 20:45Speaker 1: Pat McAfee after he had left the building. He was
- 20:48Speaker 1: driving Randy Orton away from the building, and McAfee tweeted
- 20:52Speaker 1: a little video and he said, I will make a
- 20:56Speaker 1: deal with the IWC now getting inside. Now, deal with
- 21:00Speaker 1: the IWC. If Randy Orton doesn't win at WrestleMania, I
- 21:03Speaker 1: will never be seen or heard from again on wrestling television.
- 21:10Speaker 1: They're that desperate to try to get Cody over as
- 21:14Speaker 1: the good guy and get him cheered at WrestleMania that
- 21:17Speaker 1: they have Pat McAfee not only involved here, but they
- 21:19Speaker 1: have Pat McAfee making a promise here that he will
- 21:21Speaker 1: disappear forever. You will never see his face again or
- 21:24Speaker 1: hear his voice again on wrestling television if Randy Orton
- 21:29Speaker 1: does not walk out of Las Vegas as the WWE champion.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I mean, it's very tempting. You gotta admit it is
- 21:38Speaker 1: very tempting. Can we get Randy Orton to lay down
- 21:42Speaker 1: at WrestleMania second year in a row. Now I feel
- 21:48Speaker 1: like I'm sitting here and it's like deja vous all
- 21:50Speaker 1: over again. It's like they just they don't learn. I mean,
- 21:54Speaker 1: I get it if there's pressure put on them, like, look,
- 21:56Speaker 1: this is what we have to do. Like the Tony
- 21:59Speaker 1: Khan thing an aaw with Warner Brothers discovery it came
- 22:03Speaker 1: from above. Apparently now WWE has their own version of
- 22:06Speaker 1: it came from above, So now they have to work
- 22:10Speaker 1: within the confines of what they've been given here. But
- 22:14Speaker 1: still it's like these people don't learn. They don't learn,
- 22:18Speaker 1: or they don't care. This story did not need this.
- 22:22Speaker 1: This is completely unnecessary. You have taken what should have
- 22:26Speaker 1: been a very basic story that could have worked on
- 22:28Speaker 1: its own, and now you've inserted something into it that
- 22:33Speaker 1: it did not need. So these are the great ideas
- 22:39Speaker 1: that they've come up with now for back to back
- 22:41Speaker 1: WrestleMania main events. I would say these people have lost
- 22:46Speaker 1: the plot. I don't think they had it to begin with,
- 22:49Speaker 1: so they had nothing to lose. And we'll get more
- 22:52Speaker 1: into this here in a second. But also that wasn't
- 22:54Speaker 1: the only thing that happened on this show, Teddy, This
- 22:56Speaker 1: was just the opening segment. By the way, that wasn't
- 22:59Speaker 1: the only thing that happened on this show today. Carmelo Hayes,
- 23:03Speaker 1: he lost the United States Championship last week to sammyse Ain,
- 23:07Speaker 1: this close, three weeks away from WrestleMania. This guy's been
- 23:10Speaker 1: carrying this show for months on end these open challenges.
- 23:14Speaker 1: He's gotten himself over in a way that he was
- 23:17Speaker 1: not go back a year ago, right, He's gotten himself
- 23:19Speaker 1: over through these open challenges and title defenses, and he
- 23:23Speaker 1: lost the title to Sammy's Ain. Now, they have had
- 23:25Speaker 1: a story that has been building now for a few
- 23:27Speaker 1: months with Sammy's Ain and Trick Williams, and it seemed
- 23:30Speaker 1: like that was probably going to be the direction for WrestleMania.
- 23:33Speaker 1: To be this close to Mania and have Hayes lose
- 23:36Speaker 1: the championship would seem to mean that he's not going
- 23:39Speaker 1: to be on the WrestleMania card. And so I said
- 23:41Speaker 1: last week, I said, I sure hope the way they
- 23:43Speaker 1: did that finish last week because Trick Williams got involved,
- 23:46Speaker 1: He's the one who blasted Carmelo Hayes in the face.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I sure hope that this week Carmelo Hayes. The first
- 23:51Speaker 1: thing he does is he pays a visit to Nick
- 23:53Speaker 1: all this and he gets added to that match, and
- 23:55Speaker 1: they make a triple threat match of WrestleMania because even
- 23:58Speaker 1: in storyline, he has ever every reason, every right to
- 24:01Speaker 1: want to be in that match of WrestleMania, and you
- 24:04Speaker 1: turn it into a three way because for him to
- 24:06Speaker 1: not be on that show would be a disgrace. So
- 24:11Speaker 1: what did they do? Well? They did have Carmelo Hayes
- 24:15Speaker 1: come out and plead his case as he should, and
- 24:18Speaker 1: we had a main event tonight of Sammy Zain in
- 24:21Speaker 1: a rematch with Carmelo Hayes for the United States Championship.
- 24:25Speaker 1: What did they do? Sammy z Ain pinned Carmelo Hayes
- 24:29Speaker 1: clean one, two three in the middle of the ring.
- 24:34Speaker 1: And so it appears now there's still time left. But
- 24:38Speaker 1: what are they going to do? He lost clean tonight.
- 24:41Speaker 1: He's lost two weeks in a row. Now, last week
- 24:44Speaker 1: we had interference. This week we had no interference. Trick
- 24:47Speaker 1: Williams was sitting right there at ringside. He was sitting
- 24:52Speaker 1: right there at ringside with his yacht friend didn't lift
- 24:54Speaker 1: a muscle, didn't get involved, didn't do anything. Sammy's ain
- 24:58Speaker 1: pinned him. That's it. It's over. And so it'll be
- 25:00Speaker 1: Sammy's Ain' and Trick Williams of WrestleMania. And it appears
- 25:03Speaker 1: that Carmelo Hayes is shit out of luck and it
- 25:06Speaker 1: looks like he will not be involved in the United
- 25:08Speaker 1: States Championship Match of WrestleMania. Good job, good job the Wyatts,
- 25:18Speaker 1: the MFTs. The saga continues. Good news, bad news. The
- 25:24Speaker 1: good news is Uncle Howdie got the lantern back. That's
- 25:29Speaker 1: the good news. The bad news is this feud is
- 25:34Speaker 1: not over. This feud is going to continue. Solo Soca said,
- 25:38Speaker 1: So backstage titles aren't involved anymore. It's just a grudge
- 25:44Speaker 1: war between these two factions. So the Wyatts and the
- 25:49Speaker 1: MFTs will continue. You know, I saw the trailer the
- 25:56Speaker 1: other day for the back Rooms. If you're not familiar
- 26:01Speaker 1: with the back rooms videos on YouTube, especially Cane Pixels,
- 26:04Speaker 1: you should look them up. They're very good. Young kid
- 26:09Speaker 1: twenty years old a twenty four came to him and said,
- 26:13Speaker 1: we want you to direct a backup backrooms film, and
- 26:16Speaker 1: now it's coming out. At the end of May. It's
- 26:18Speaker 1: pretty fucking cool. I saw the trailer the other day.
- 26:21Speaker 1: The back Rooms. It's basically this infinite maze, and it
- 26:25Speaker 1: just goes on forever. You go from room to room
- 26:28Speaker 1: to room, and it just never ends. It keeps just
- 26:31Speaker 1: creating within itself brand new rooms. That's the why it's
- 26:35Speaker 1: in the MFTs. It is a never ending maze that
- 26:39Speaker 1: goes on and on and on and on forever. They
- 26:44Speaker 1: are like the back Rooms, only not nearly as enjoyable.
- 26:51Speaker 1: And also I should mention that Dan Housen put a
- 26:53Speaker 1: curse on the referee tonight during the Tag Team Championship match,
- 27:00Speaker 1: and the curse prevented the referee from counting the three
- 27:05Speaker 1: to give the tag team titles to The Miz and
- 27:08Speaker 1: Kit Wilson. So Damian Priest and Our Truth are still
- 27:12Speaker 1: the Tag Team champions. This is a horrendous television show.
- 27:18Speaker 1: It is the worst show on television. I admit that
- 27:22Speaker 1: I don't know all of the different reality shows that
- 27:25Speaker 1: are out there. I know they have The Real Housewives
- 27:27Speaker 1: of Orange County and the Real Housewives of I don't
- 27:31Speaker 1: fucking know, Trenton, New Jersey, the Real Housewives of Oshkosh Bagosh,
- 27:37Speaker 1: Wisconsin or whatever the fuck. I'm sure every single one
- 27:41Speaker 1: of those shows are light years ahead of Friday Night SmackDown.
- 27:45Speaker 1: This is the worst show on television, bar Nunn. And
- 27:53Speaker 1: on top of all of that, Juan Soto got pulled
- 27:55Speaker 1: in the first inning of the Mets game tonight with
- 27:58Speaker 1: some calf tightness. What are we seven games into the season.
- 28:04Speaker 1: So yeah, I'm in a mood. This is your Friday
- 28:08Speaker 1: Night SmackDown review. I don't know why I bother, but
- 28:13Speaker 1: I figure it's got to be more entertaining than the
- 28:15Speaker 1: actual fucking show. It's Friday, April Actually, now it's after midnight.
- 28:22Speaker 1: It's Saturday already. Look at that. I haven't even started
- 28:25Speaker 1: the review yet. It's already Saturday. But this is for Friday,
- 28:28Speaker 1: April third, twenty twenty six. I am the solemn Monster.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Like and subscribe. Super chats are open. I'm sure you
- 28:38Speaker 1: guys have a lot to say about tonight's show as well.
- 28:40Speaker 1: Go ahead, Vent, I want to hear from all of you.
- 28:45Speaker 1: I've got a whole bunch of messages that already came in. Yeah,
- 28:50Speaker 1: big money, Wan Sodo. Let's hope it's nothing too serious.
- 28:54Speaker 1: First inning, he gets pulled from the game just what
- 28:57Speaker 1: I needed to see tonight. I was hoping for some
- 28:58Speaker 1: good news. All this did was just add to the
- 29:01Speaker 1: bad news of the night. Spin this wheel. Find out
- 29:06Speaker 1: how many likes we need. I have a feeling where
- 29:07Speaker 1: we're not going to have any issues hitting his goal tonight.
- 29:11Speaker 1: What the goal is for our be the Booker segment later.
- 29:20Speaker 1: Seven hundred, seven hundred likes is what we need for tonight.
- 29:26Speaker 1: We are currently four point thirty already should not be
- 29:29Speaker 1: an issue. What do we need? Three hundred more less
- 29:32Speaker 1: than three hundred? Have at it, have at it. Let's
- 29:37Speaker 1: get into this show here, because we opened with, of course,
- 29:40Speaker 1: the best part of the entire thing. We had Randy
- 29:44Speaker 1: Orton coming out here in Saint Louis thunderous ovation. As
- 29:49Speaker 1: you would expect, these people are not gonna boo Randy Orton.
- 29:53Speaker 1: I don't care what. It doesn't matter what you do.
- 29:55Speaker 1: Randy Orton could set fire to the Saint Louis arch
- 29:58Speaker 1: and he could burn to the ground and they would
- 30:00Speaker 1: chant one more time. So he comes down to the
- 30:03Speaker 1: ring and he says, so, Saint Louis, Missouri, what do
- 30:08Speaker 1: you want to talk about? Said? It's no secret this
- 30:12Speaker 1: is his hometown. He still calls Saint Louis home, and
- 30:17Speaker 1: the next time they see him in this arena, he
- 30:18Speaker 1: is going to have that fifteenth World championship around his waist.
- 30:24Speaker 1: But he's not doing this for each and every single
- 30:26Speaker 1: one of the fans in the building. Said, he's doing
- 30:29Speaker 1: this for himself. Now, that's a line that was meant
- 30:32Speaker 1: to elicit booze from the crowd. The crowd did not boo.
- 30:35Speaker 1: In fact, I heard some cheers because they ain't gonna boo.
- 30:39Speaker 1: They ain't gonna boo. Rany Orton said, he's doing this
- 30:42Speaker 1: for his family and his real home, which is not
- 30:45Speaker 1: Saint Louis. Said, it's the six people. He pointed to
- 30:49Speaker 1: the six people in the front row, which were his
- 30:51Speaker 1: what they showed his wife and his kids, including his daughter.
- 30:55Speaker 1: I forgot his daughter's name from his first marriage. She's tall,
- 30:59Speaker 1: she was towering over all the other kids. So he's
- 31:01Speaker 1: pointing to his family in the front road. He goes,
- 31:03Speaker 1: that's what it's all about. Hell of a heel promo. Here,
- 31:07Speaker 1: said Cody Rhodes is leaving wrestlemany of forty two empty handed,
- 31:11Speaker 1: and the fans all cheered. Cody gave him his blessing
- 31:15Speaker 1: said he gave him the green light. It's not personal
- 31:18Speaker 1: between them. Cody said that he could be the viper.
- 31:21Speaker 1: Cody said that he can still listen to the voices,
- 31:24Speaker 1: and he saw the voices are talking to Cody too.
- 31:27Speaker 1: He saw him on Raw with Stephanie McMahon and she
- 31:30Speaker 1: wasn't lying to him when she said that Cody could
- 31:33Speaker 1: not beat him because Cody is not a killer. So
- 31:39Speaker 1: that brought out Cody Rhodes to booze from the Saint
- 31:41Speaker 1: Louis crowd, and Cody wasn't smiling. He pulled his jacket off,
- 31:45Speaker 1: he got in the ring and they started brawling right
- 31:47Speaker 1: off and with each punch. Now, by the way, I
- 31:51Speaker 1: will point out, it is funny to me when we
- 31:54Speaker 1: watched Raw on Monday night and they showed later on
- 31:58Speaker 1: the full recap of what happened when Brock Lesnar and
- 32:00Speaker 1: Oba Femi on Monday, and you have all of these
- 32:05Speaker 1: officials and security guards that are sent out to try
- 32:07Speaker 1: to get between them. Triple h himself has to get
- 32:11Speaker 1: into the ring to get in between them because he
- 32:13Speaker 1: doesn't want them to touch before wrestle media. That match
- 32:16Speaker 1: is so important to him at WrestleMania, he cannot risk
- 32:18Speaker 1: losing it. But evidently he doesn't feel the same way
- 32:21Speaker 1: about his main event, because nobody came out to separate
- 32:25Speaker 1: these two men. So they're in the ring and they're fighting,
- 32:27Speaker 1: and with every punch and every stomp and every kick
- 32:29Speaker 1: that Cody is giving him, these fans are booing him,
- 32:33Speaker 1: and all of a sudden in the ring there's a
- 32:36Speaker 1: person in the ring. It's Pat McAfee. He's got shades
- 32:41Speaker 1: on and he's wearing a Randy Orton shirt. And Cody
- 32:45Speaker 1: turns around and he gets kicked in the dick, which
- 32:48Speaker 1: is going to continue to happen. And so like people
- 32:51Speaker 1: before him, like aj Styles and like brock Lesnar, Cody
- 32:55Speaker 1: Roads will never learn because you would think he would
- 32:57Speaker 1: wear some support down there at this point he cup on,
- 33:00Speaker 1: but apparently not, so he got kicked in the dick
- 33:02Speaker 1: and down goes Cody Roads. And now Pat McAfee spoke,
- 33:07Speaker 1: Randy Orton had a chair and he was attacking Cody
- 33:10Speaker 1: with the chair, and McAfee he dissed the Saint Louis
- 33:15Speaker 1: Sports teams for some cheap heat said that also I
- 33:21Speaker 1: should point out Nick All, this is coming out now Finally,
- 33:24Speaker 1: Nick all, this is out there with producers and everything.
- 33:27Speaker 1: They don't get in the ring though. They stay outside
- 33:29Speaker 1: the ring. I guess they're very afraid of Randy Orton
- 33:31Speaker 1: at his chair, so they stay outside the ring. And
- 33:34Speaker 1: McAfee continues. He says, a month ago he was asked
- 33:37Speaker 1: about returning to WWE and he said he felt the
- 33:40Speaker 1: business had passed him by. He thought the current product
- 33:44Speaker 1: was absolute shit. Well he's not wrong about that, Pat
- 33:49Speaker 1: McAfee and I can agree on one thing. Randy called
- 33:52Speaker 1: him up and said the business is gone in a
- 33:54Speaker 1: direction that he didn't like. And so now he brings
- 33:58Speaker 1: up the attitude era and he's doing a stone cold
- 34:01Speaker 1: what chant impression? Okay, and he can get the fuck
- 34:04Speaker 1: off my TV for that alone. What Then he's impersonating
- 34:09Speaker 1: the Rock He's doing the Rocks catchphrase, and he says
- 34:12Speaker 1: all those fans that had launched WWE had been forgotten.
- 34:17Speaker 1: WWE had forgotten about all the fans that made them
- 34:20Speaker 1: who and what they are. Now he has to watch
- 34:23Speaker 1: two five foot five guys do a forty five minute
- 34:26Speaker 1: Ironman match ten weeks straight for no rhyme or reason.
- 34:29Speaker 1: When you've got Randy Orton right here, he brings up
- 34:34Speaker 1: WWE unreal, and he says, you've got guys in a
- 34:38Speaker 1: circle jerk backstage at Gorilla, when you've got Randy Orton
- 34:42Speaker 1: right here. He said, WrestleMania tickets are still somehow still
- 34:46Speaker 1: available when you've got Randy Orton right here. And again,
- 34:50Speaker 1: that's a hell of a thing to bring up when
- 34:52Speaker 1: you've got Randy Orton advertised for your WrestleMania main event
- 34:56Speaker 1: and apparently you still can't sell out WrestleMania again. I
- 34:59Speaker 1: don't know what they thought that was something that should
- 35:02Speaker 1: be brought up here in this context. I thought that
- 35:04Speaker 1: was kind of silly. He said, Oh, we weren't even
- 35:09Speaker 1: done yet, because then McAfee pointed out that they were
- 35:12Speaker 1: coming off their worst rated episode of SmackDown of all
- 35:16Speaker 1: time with a puppet for a champion representing everything that
- 35:20Speaker 1: those fans hate, and as Randy continued to attack Cody,
- 35:25Speaker 1: Pat informed him that he's the one who has been
- 35:28Speaker 1: on the phone with Randy Orton, so all the people
- 35:31Speaker 1: who maybe you're thinking, well, this can't possibly be it, right,
- 35:36Speaker 1: there's got to be some gold at the end of
- 35:38Speaker 1: that rainbow there, right, Pat McAfee, This is a decoy.
- 35:41Speaker 1: He's not really the guy who's been on the phone
- 35:43Speaker 1: Randy Orton, Oh yes, oh yes he is. And you
- 35:48Speaker 1: can try to cope and rationalize it any way you
- 35:51Speaker 1: want to. But they revealed that it was Pat McAfee,
- 35:56Speaker 1: of all people, after all these weeks, that was on
- 35:58Speaker 1: the phone with Randy. Uh, don't try to excuse it
- 36:02Speaker 1: away by saying, well, there's got to be something better.
- 36:04Speaker 1: There's nothing better. We always do this. Well, there's got
- 36:09Speaker 1: to be some endgame here. There's got to be something
- 36:11Speaker 1: really good plan. There's nothing, They have nothing. What you
- 36:14Speaker 1: saw tonight is what they thought was the best way
- 36:18Speaker 1: to go, or at least TKO did, and they had
- 36:21Speaker 1: to figure out a way. Okay, how can we make
- 36:23Speaker 1: this make sense? So they constructed a story around this
- 36:27Speaker 1: to try to make it make sense. There is no
- 36:29Speaker 1: goal at the end of the rainbow. The only thing
- 36:31Speaker 1: at the end of the rainbow is a pile of shit.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Sorry to break the news, so he said, Pat's been
- 36:42Speaker 1: on the phone with him telling him to go kill everything,
- 36:45Speaker 1: including SmackDown, apparently not just for his fifteenth world title,
- 36:49Speaker 1: but because the business that Cody is leading is terrible,
- 36:51Speaker 1: and Randy Orton is going to save the fucking business.
- 36:57Speaker 1: So that was the promo. But then back stage after
- 37:00Speaker 1: the break, Orton and McAfee were walking. McAfee was saying
- 37:03Speaker 1: mission accomplished. They said they're here to save the business,
- 37:07Speaker 1: and they got in his suv. Orton got in the
- 37:09Speaker 1: passenger seat and McAfee drove off. There are some people,
- 37:15Speaker 1: I'm sure I get the sense that the vast majority
- 37:18Speaker 1: of people who are watching this or that are on
- 37:21Speaker 1: by Timeline are also not too happy with this segment.
- 37:26Speaker 1: They're very nonplused. Okay, let's just say that about the
- 37:29Speaker 1: big reveal of what they're doing here. But you also
- 37:31Speaker 1: have people who probably are going to go, well, I
- 37:34Speaker 1: kind of liked it. I like Pat McAfee, or this
- 37:36Speaker 1: is really exciting, right, Oh my god, look at this.
- 37:40Speaker 1: He's kind of shooting a little bit, and he's making
- 37:42Speaker 1: a lot of really valid points about the WWE product
- 37:45Speaker 1: right now whatever else is going on in their warped brains,
- 37:50Speaker 1: and they're talking about this stuff and you're not realizing
- 37:52Speaker 1: that again by him bringing up all of this stuff
- 37:55Speaker 1: and how shit the product is and they can't sell out.
- 37:57Speaker 1: WrestleMania Worse Rated episode of SmackDown in Forever the other week,
- 38:02Speaker 1: all of this stuff, and again he's invoking the Attitude
- 38:05Speaker 1: Era as this just romanticizing the Attitude era. Is this
- 38:10Speaker 1: great era with all these big name stars and you know,
- 38:13Speaker 1: all these fans that became WWE fans because of the
- 38:16Speaker 1: Attitude Era, and basically insinuating that we need to get
- 38:19Speaker 1: a return back to that. We have to return, we
- 38:21Speaker 1: have to restore things back to our former glory. Like
- 38:26Speaker 1: it's all bullshit, Like, what do you think the end
- 38:29Speaker 1: result of this is going to be? You're gonna chat
- 38:31Speaker 1: everybody up and get their hopes up and talk about
- 38:34Speaker 1: how great things were and we can bring that back. No,
- 38:36Speaker 1: you can't, Like, what is the end goal here? What
- 38:42Speaker 1: is this going to lead to? That's going to be
- 38:44Speaker 1: some sort of great renaissance for SmackDown, especially if it
- 38:47Speaker 1: really was something that was forced upon them. You know,
- 38:52Speaker 1: you have your marching orders. We're gonna Pat McAfee's got
- 38:55Speaker 1: to come back, find a way to get him back
- 38:56Speaker 1: on the show. Oh well, okay, I guess we have
- 38:59Speaker 1: to get through this somehow. Got to turn John Cena
- 39:05Speaker 1: heel in his final year. A few weeks before WrestleMania
- 39:07Speaker 1: let's try to figure it out. And by the way,
- 39:09Speaker 1: the rock went home. Never learn, Never learn. Some people
- 39:19Speaker 1: will find this exciting. Some people will think, oh man,
- 39:23Speaker 1: this is really gonna spice things up here on the
- 39:25Speaker 1: roads to WrestleMania. Yeah, there's a good spice and a
- 39:30Speaker 1: bad spice and an old spice. This is not a
- 39:35Speaker 1: good spice. So the fans went back and forth in
- 39:41Speaker 1: this opening segment between cheering the guy who is supposed
- 39:45Speaker 1: to be booing and also other moments where they just
- 39:47Speaker 1: it felt like they didn't really know how they were
- 39:49Speaker 1: supposed to react, and they were kind of indifferent to
- 39:53Speaker 1: some of the things that were being said. But they
- 39:55Speaker 1: are betting and hoping that this will put more heat
- 39:58Speaker 1: on Randy Orton going into WrestleMania. It won't. And again,
- 40:01Speaker 1: my biggest issue with this besides the lackluster, lame fucking reveal,
- 40:05Speaker 1: don't give me this bullshit about it. Oh what a
- 40:07Speaker 1: great reveal. Okay, fuck off. You got to learn to
- 40:11Speaker 1: call shit when it's shit. I mean, come on, seriously,
- 40:14Speaker 1: I know there were some people out there and this
- 40:16Speaker 1: goes for you know, all companies, not just WWE. They
- 40:22Speaker 1: will cling to every little little positive grain that they
- 40:25Speaker 1: possibly can no matter how shit, no matter how shit
- 40:29Speaker 1: something is, they will try to find the good in
- 40:32Speaker 1: it when sometimes you got to call it out for
- 40:34Speaker 1: what it is. This was a terrible reveal, and as
- 40:42Speaker 1: I said before, it is something that was completely unnecessary.
- 40:45Speaker 1: It was a it was it was just like a
- 40:47Speaker 1: self inflicted wound. But I could see in Ari Emmanuel's
- 40:51Speaker 1: head two things. Number One, he represents this guy, so
- 40:54Speaker 1: the more you can get him on television, and you've
- 40:56Speaker 1: got this big event coming up that's gonna be broadcasting
- 40:58Speaker 1: on ESPN. We have energies and we have tie ins here. Okay,
- 41:02Speaker 1: that's one aspect of it, and the other aspect of
- 41:04Speaker 1: it also is you know, when it comes to this,
- 41:08Speaker 1: they're looking at it from I guess the ESPN perspective
- 41:12Speaker 1: and figuring that this might actually help draw in some
- 41:15Speaker 1: lapse fans. I don't see how that's possible, because all
- 41:19Speaker 1: of the people that were watching the product back then,
- 41:21Speaker 1: when it was really exciting and you had all these
- 41:23Speaker 1: larger than life characters or whatever it was that motivated
- 41:27Speaker 1: you to really watch wrestling and be a fan of
- 41:29Speaker 1: the product back then, That's not what WWE is today.
- 41:33Speaker 1: If you took a lapse fan from that era of WWFWCW, which,
- 41:37Speaker 1: by the way, even the idea of that is just
- 41:39Speaker 1: it's so laughable, like we're talking about an era of
- 41:42Speaker 1: thirty years ago. Those people are long gone, like they're
- 41:45Speaker 1: not coming back, Like we've got to stop, like we
- 41:49Speaker 1: gotta stop talking about this, like they're done if they're
- 41:52Speaker 1: not watching anymore or they quit, you know, twenty twenty
- 41:55Speaker 1: five years ago, like they're they're not coming back. But
- 41:57Speaker 1: if those people were to tune into WWE now, and
- 42:00Speaker 1: I say, this is somebody who was watching wrestling then
- 42:03Speaker 1: and I watched wrestling today, Like they're gonna take one
- 42:06Speaker 1: look at like half the shit on this show and
- 42:08Speaker 1: they're gonna be like like, why did you tell me
- 42:10Speaker 1: to watch this? This is fucking garbage, Like this isn't wrestling,
- 42:14Speaker 1: what is this? There's no lapse fan that's gonna come
- 42:18Speaker 1: back and watch this shit. Not one, I'm sorry, not
- 42:21Speaker 1: a single one. But I guess they figure, well, if
- 42:25Speaker 1: we can try to at least get Pat McAfee over
- 42:28Speaker 1: as somebody big right, got it, do me a solid, guys,
- 42:32Speaker 1: get him on the show. And meanwhile, we have to
- 42:34Speaker 1: sit here and we're gonna be subjected to this, and
- 42:37Speaker 1: then what happens when we get to WrestleMania and we
- 42:38Speaker 1: get out of WrestleMania, and then what it's the same
- 42:40Speaker 1: thing with seen it with the heel turn. Then what
- 42:43Speaker 1: they got their big viral moment last year an elimination chamber.
- 42:46Speaker 1: Tonight was not the elimination chamber, but tonight was like
- 42:49Speaker 1: again that big viral moment, and they'll spread it around
- 42:52Speaker 1: on social media. This company it's all about. It's all
- 42:54Speaker 1: about viral moments. It's sickening. It's absolutely nauseating. That is
- 42:59Speaker 1: what WWE has turned into. Nothing else matters. The characters
- 43:04Speaker 1: don't matter, the stories don't matter, shows don't matter. It's
- 43:11Speaker 1: all about viral moments. And it's all about aura and
- 43:14Speaker 1: aura farming and long entrances and posing and stalling and
- 43:17Speaker 1: not saying anything and looking around and trying to kill
- 43:20Speaker 1: for time because we got three hours to kill every
- 43:21Speaker 1: single fucking week. It's like, it's nauseating. We had Ria
- 43:27Speaker 1: Ripley against Meechen. Jade Cargill made her way out to
- 43:32Speaker 1: the ring in the middle of this match as Ripley
- 43:36Speaker 1: tossed Meechen with a fallaway slam and with Rhea's attention
- 43:40Speaker 1: diverted to Jade on the outside, Meechin caught her with
- 43:43Speaker 1: a German suplex. So anyway, Rhea came back, she dropped
- 43:48Speaker 1: her with a razor's edge. She got Meechin in position
- 43:52Speaker 1: for a riptide, couldn't connect. Miechen went for a running
- 43:56Speaker 1: cannonball in the corner. Riha, though moved out of the way.
- 43:58Speaker 1: Poison Rana took her and then eat defeat only for
- 44:02Speaker 1: a near fall. So Ria got Mechin locked in the
- 44:06Speaker 1: Prism trap or the Prism lock for the submission, so
- 44:11Speaker 1: she wins the match. When the match is over, Bfab Mechin,
- 44:15Speaker 1: they pounce on Riha. Eo Sky comes out and she
- 44:19Speaker 1: makes the save. She came all the way from Monday.
- 44:22Speaker 1: She ran all the way from Monday Night Raw to
- 44:24Speaker 1: make it to SmackDown to come to Ria's aid. And
- 44:27Speaker 1: then Ria recovered and she and Eo hit stereo dropkicks
- 44:30Speaker 1: that sent Bfab and Mechin packing outside the ring with Jade.
- 44:36Speaker 1: I actually thought what we got in the match here
- 44:38Speaker 1: was I mean, I was still reeling from the shit
- 44:40Speaker 1: that we sat through in the opening segment, but I
- 44:43Speaker 1: thought what we got here from these two was solid.
- 44:45Speaker 1: You know, Ria, she needed bodies to be able to
- 44:48Speaker 1: handle on the road to WrestleMania before she got her
- 44:51Speaker 1: hands on Jade. That is the only role that Mechin
- 44:53Speaker 1: and bfab play. They are warm bodies for Ria Ripley
- 44:57Speaker 1: to get in the ring and to throw around, and
- 45:00Speaker 1: so Michen did her job here. They served their purpose. Now,
- 45:04Speaker 1: EO Sky, let me talk about this. Eoski came out,
- 45:10Speaker 1: and it makes sense that she would come to her
- 45:12Speaker 1: friend's aid. I get that. When this was over, I
- 45:17Speaker 1: thought that this was setting up maybe a tag team
- 45:19Speaker 1: match for SmackDown next week, Rhea and EO against b
- 45:23Speaker 1: Fabin Mechin. They made no mention of there being a
- 45:27Speaker 1: tag team match. What they did mention later in the show,
- 45:30Speaker 1: when they were running down the WrestleMania card and they
- 45:33Speaker 1: put the graphic up for Riha and Jade, they mentioned
- 45:36Speaker 1: that now Ria has backup at WrestleMania, implying that EO
- 45:42Speaker 1: Sky is going to be in her corner. I don't
- 45:45Speaker 1: think they use those words, but that was the implication
- 45:47Speaker 1: that she would be in Rihea's corner at WrestleMania. Now,
- 45:54Speaker 1: that doesn't necessarily prevent them from putting EO in a
- 45:57Speaker 1: match of her own, because it's sure seemed like we
- 46:00Speaker 1: were heading for an EO in Oscar match or WrestleMania,
- 46:04Speaker 1: But now this makes me wonder is she even gonna
- 46:06Speaker 1: have a match at all? Or have they decided to
- 46:09Speaker 1: not do EO and Oscar at Mania and instead EO's
- 46:12Speaker 1: just gonna be in fucking Ria Ripley's corner to watch
- 46:16Speaker 1: b Fabin Mechin at ringside. That would be as much
- 46:20Speaker 1: of a disgrace as just not even having Carmelo Hayes
- 46:23Speaker 1: on the show at all. So I sure hope that
- 46:27Speaker 1: you know, based on what they said on commentary when
- 46:29Speaker 1: they were running this card down, that that's not the case.
- 46:31Speaker 1: So maybe I misunderstood, But if they've made the decision
- 46:35Speaker 1: to not even have her in a match on the show, disgraceful. Backstage,
- 46:44Speaker 1: Alistair Black and Zelina, they approached Matt Cardona. Black said
- 46:48Speaker 1: that Randy Orton didn't change, He just embraced who he
- 46:51Speaker 1: really is, and it says if all is right with
- 46:53Speaker 1: the universe, and this led to Cardona saying that he
- 46:57Speaker 1: would speak to Nick all this about making a match
- 46:59Speaker 1: between them later on on the show, and Black said
- 47:02Speaker 1: Cardona is a fan of making bad decisions. He's not
- 47:06Speaker 1: the only one making bad decisions here on this show.
- 47:11Speaker 1: Elsewhere in the back. Oh, it gets better. Solo's Sokoa
- 47:17Speaker 1: is standing there with his lantern. He sleeps with this thing.
- 47:23Speaker 1: He probably showers with it. He takes it everywhere he
- 47:27Speaker 1: goes with him, when he goes to the gym, when
- 47:30Speaker 1: he goes to the bank to make a withdrawal, when
- 47:32Speaker 1: he goes to the supermarket. He's in Trader Joe's right.
- 47:35Speaker 1: He's got his wagon, he's got all of his bread
- 47:38Speaker 1: and flour and bullshit. He's got that lantern right there
- 47:41Speaker 1: with him. So he's got the lantern. And he said
- 47:48Speaker 1: Uncle Howdie challenged him to fight for the lantern, so
- 47:52Speaker 1: that he wasn't going to let the lantern out of
- 47:54Speaker 1: his sight after what happened with the tag team titles,
- 47:56Speaker 1: so he needed one of his men to step up.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Tomatonga spoke up and he said, why are we fighting
- 48:04Speaker 1: for the lantern? Good question, smart guy, that Tomatanga. Why
- 48:12Speaker 1: are we fighting for the lantern? He said? He said,
- 48:16Speaker 1: it has been nothing but problems for us. So Solo suggested
- 48:19Speaker 1: that tom of them be the one to fight Howdy
- 48:21Speaker 1: for the lantern. And Toma told him, I will, but
- 48:25Speaker 1: I'm going to go out there alone, and Solo said,
- 48:28Speaker 1: you better not mess this up too late. The fact
- 48:32Speaker 1: that we're still sitting here talking about this storyline, you've
- 48:35Speaker 1: already messed up. But that led into Tomatanga against Uncle Howdy,
- 48:43Speaker 1: and this was about as exciting as you would expect,
- 48:45Speaker 1: which is to say not at all, because I am
- 48:48Speaker 1: done with the Wyatts against the MFTs. It's been months
- 48:52Speaker 1: of this. I was done a long time ago with this,
- 48:56Speaker 1: and yet here we are. So Tama got caught with
- 48:59Speaker 1: the man of Claw as Solo Soka made his way
- 49:02Speaker 1: out with the lantern midway through the match, even though
- 49:05Speaker 1: Tomatana told him I don't want you out there. I
- 49:07Speaker 1: want to go out there by myself. I don't want help.
- 49:10Speaker 1: So he tried to hit Howdy with it, and the
- 49:13Speaker 1: referee stopped him. So Tama looks outside at Solo Sokoa
- 49:16Speaker 1: and now they're arguing and he's explaining to Solo Soka
- 49:20Speaker 1: like I don't need you. But then as soon as
- 49:25Speaker 1: he turned around, he walked into sister Abigail and Uncle
- 49:29Speaker 1: Howdy picked up the win. Now, after the match was over,
- 49:33Speaker 1: Solo and Toma they bickered, and then they had their
- 49:36Speaker 1: hands on the lantern, and Tama pulled the lantern away
- 49:40Speaker 1: from Solo. He walked over to like where the apron was,
- 49:45Speaker 1: and he set the lantern down on the mat over
- 49:47Speaker 1: by the ropes, and Solo Soko is looking down, like
- 49:49Speaker 1: what are you doing? Uncle Howdy is outside the ring,
- 49:52Speaker 1: and Uncle Howdy just reaches over and grabs the lantern,
- 49:57Speaker 1: and the fans let out a little cheer. I'd like
- 50:01Speaker 1: to think they let out a little cheer because they thought,
- 50:03Speaker 1: oh my god, this is finally over. And a single
- 50:06Speaker 1: tears streamed down Sola Monster's eye as he watched this.
- 50:09Speaker 1: Although it was not lost on me how fucking lame
- 50:12Speaker 1: and anti climactic an ending this was for him getting
- 50:14Speaker 1: the lantern back. He just reached over and just like
- 50:18Speaker 1: all right, if I'm just gonna take this and I'm
- 50:20Speaker 1: just gonna leave. So Uncle Howdy has regained possession here
- 50:25Speaker 1: of the lantern. And I wasn't buying it, okay, because
- 50:28Speaker 1: I have PTSD when it comes to this feud, and
- 50:30Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm looking around, like, oh my god, one
- 50:33Speaker 1: of them, it's gonna be j C. Matteo. It's gonna
- 50:35Speaker 1: be Tongaloa. Probably not Tongaloa. He'll probably trip and fall
- 50:38Speaker 1: and break his fucking skull open. But somebody, somebody from
- 50:41Speaker 1: the MFTs is gonna sneak up from behind and take
- 50:42Speaker 1: the lantern. Tala tong is gonna come out, boot him
- 50:45Speaker 1: in the fucking face and take the lantern back. Thankfully,
- 50:48Speaker 1: that didn't happen, and so Uncle Howdy actually left with
- 50:52Speaker 1: the lantern, and I was like, man, this bullshit seems
- 50:56Speaker 1: like it's finally over. I'm impressed. But we were not
- 51:02Speaker 1: done yet, because later on in the show, in the back,
- 51:08Speaker 1: the MFTs are together and Solo Soco is grilling Tomatonga
- 51:12Speaker 1: on giving the lantern back to the Wyatts. Why would
- 51:15Speaker 1: you do that? Toma told him I did it so
- 51:18Speaker 1: that we can focus on taking over SmackDown all the titles,
- 51:23Speaker 1: and Solo said we would finish the Wyatts off first.
- 51:30Speaker 1: So if you thought that we were done with this feud,
- 51:34Speaker 1: think again. The feud continues. Hence the backrooms analogy that
- 51:42Speaker 1: I used before. Actually, you know what, I can't even
- 51:45Speaker 1: say that the MFTs and the Wyatts, or the back
- 51:47Speaker 1: room SmackDown SmackDown itself is like the back rooms. Once
- 51:52Speaker 1: you get trapped in there, you ain't coming out. You're
- 51:55Speaker 1: just gonna go from room to room and you're stuck
- 51:58Speaker 1: until you die. That is SmackDown. And so the first
- 52:06Speaker 1: hour of SmackDown was over another wretched hour of television
- 52:11Speaker 1: on a Friday night. This was the first hour of
- 52:13Speaker 1: the show. I want you to think back to everything
- 52:16Speaker 1: I've just reviewed, was there anything good in there? That
- 52:20Speaker 1: was the first hour. So in the back a disheveled
- 52:26Speaker 1: Miss is walking with Kit Wilson. He looked like me
- 52:29Speaker 1: at the end of the first hour of SmackDown, and
- 52:34Speaker 1: he's complaining about the Dan Housen curse. Kit Wilson is
- 52:37Speaker 1: Miss still does not believe in the curse. So they
- 52:41Speaker 1: come upon our Truth, and Truth says the new judgment
- 52:45Speaker 1: day is full because again he doesn't recognize anybody. He
- 52:49Speaker 1: mistakes people for somebody else. Miss says that Truth hasn't
- 52:53Speaker 1: earned anything or hasn't learned anything. I don't I have
- 52:57Speaker 1: paid attention to these backstage segments here when it comes
- 53:00Speaker 1: to this shit, because who the fuck cares? Especially after
- 53:02Speaker 1: the first hour that we had on this show. I
- 53:04Speaker 1: felt like I had a concussion. I could barely keep
- 53:07Speaker 1: track of what was going on. All I can tell
- 53:10Speaker 1: you is that our truth mistook something that miss said
- 53:12Speaker 1: is a challenge, and he said, fine, We'll have a
- 53:15Speaker 1: challenge tonight for the tag team titles. And he went
- 53:18Speaker 1: off to go make the match official, and Kit Wilson
- 53:20Speaker 1: is like, wait, did we just get a tag team
- 53:22Speaker 1: title match tonight? Okay, so yes, we had a tag
- 53:26Speaker 1: team title match made for later on in the show.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Whatever we had the new United States Champion Sammy's ain.
- 53:35Speaker 1: He met with Nick all this backstage and asked him
- 53:38Speaker 1: if he understood correctly that I had some new Pyro
- 53:41Speaker 1: that was queued up for me tonight, and all This
- 53:45Speaker 1: told him, yes, indeed, you have some Pyro waiting for
- 53:49Speaker 1: you out there, Champ. And before Sammy could actually make
- 53:53Speaker 1: his way out, we hear Trick Williams music. He beat
- 53:55Speaker 1: him to the punch and Trick Williams made his way
- 53:59Speaker 1: to the ring a company Lil Yati. More celebrities on
- 54:05Speaker 1: this show. Like I said, wwwe has used celebrities throughout
- 54:11Speaker 1: their entire existence. Okay, going back to Muhammad Ali when
- 54:15Speaker 1: Guerrilla mons Soon gave him a freaking airplane spin, There's
- 54:19Speaker 1: a time and a place for it. And when you
- 54:21Speaker 1: have one really good one, that's fine. If you have
- 54:23Speaker 1: one that makes sense, that's fine. WWEE just goes so
- 54:29Speaker 1: overboard of late with all of the different celebrity appearances.
- 54:33Speaker 1: I have celebrity fatigue. I have celebrity fatigue on these shows.
- 54:38Speaker 1: I don't want to see any of these people. I
- 54:41Speaker 1: don't want to see any of these people. There's too
- 54:43Speaker 1: many of them. They're like little moles that keep popping up,
- 54:46Speaker 1: and you like, whack a mole, you whack one another
- 54:48Speaker 1: one pops up. Trick was here to celebrate his first
- 54:54Speaker 1: WrestleMania match, but he couldn't help but notice with all
- 54:58Speaker 1: the stars coming out like Pat McAfee and Jelly Roll,
- 55:02Speaker 1: that it was only right that he brought his pal
- 55:05Speaker 1: Lil Yachtie. See. He said, they go way back. He
- 55:09Speaker 1: said he wasn't going to take no lip off, no
- 55:12Speaker 1: gingerbread Man, referring to our United States Champion Sammy's ain
- 55:16Speaker 1: who is a ginger and so therefore gingerbread Man, And
- 55:21Speaker 1: he asked for Sammy's pyro, which they then shot off
- 55:23Speaker 1: as he posed on the ropes. So not only did
- 55:25Speaker 1: Sammy get beat to the punch in terms of making
- 55:28Speaker 1: an entrance here, but Trick Williams stole all of his pyro.
- 55:34Speaker 1: He's definitely he's definitely not the fan favorite here in
- 55:37Speaker 1: this segment, I will tell you the fans were into Trick,
- 55:40Speaker 1: Sammy not so much. But Sammy's ain came out to
- 55:44Speaker 1: mild Booze said that Trick was getting a little ahead
- 55:49Speaker 1: of himself in WrestleMania. Williams was going to go up
- 55:52Speaker 1: against one of the best to ever do it, and
- 55:54Speaker 1: there's going to be fifty thousand seats filled up. It
- 56:00Speaker 1: won't be. They may say that there are fifty thousand
- 56:03Speaker 1: seats filled up, but they're not going to be filled up.
- 56:06Speaker 1: They're barely over forty thousand right now. It says all
- 56:11Speaker 1: the fur coats and rappers won't help save Trick from
- 56:13Speaker 1: Sammy at WrestleMania. He will be humbled. So Trick pointed
- 56:19Speaker 1: out the only reason Sammy was even the champion right
- 56:22Speaker 1: now was because of him. That brought out him the
- 56:27Speaker 1: former United States Champion Carmelo Hayes. He says he just
- 56:30Speaker 1: can't sit back and watch all of this. He brings
- 56:33Speaker 1: up the history that he has with a Trick. He
- 56:34Speaker 1: promised him a receipt. As far as Sammy goes, the
- 56:37Speaker 1: way that he won the belt doesn't sit right with him,
- 56:40Speaker 1: and he doesn't think it sits right with any of
- 56:42Speaker 1: these people in this building. And they agreed, so he
- 56:47Speaker 1: said for months he carried SmackDown on his back, all
- 56:50Speaker 1: for Sammy to swoop in and take it away from him.
- 56:53Speaker 1: He wants his rematch, and the fans roared with approval.
- 56:57Speaker 1: So Sammy says, he thinks the world of mellow. But look,
- 57:00Speaker 1: you issued an open challenge and you lost. And he's
- 57:04Speaker 1: sorry that you know, you lost your WrestleMania match and
- 57:07Speaker 1: that I got it at your expense. But if you
- 57:10Speaker 1: want to rematch, it's going to have to wait until
- 57:12Speaker 1: we're on the other side of WrestleMania. So Trick mocks
- 57:15Speaker 1: Sammy's lack of integrity and his double standards, and all
- 57:18Speaker 1: of a sudden, Sammy agrees. Now he's had a change
- 57:22Speaker 1: of heart, apparently, and Sammy says that, you know the
- 57:27Speaker 1: truth is that if Trick didn't get involved, I might
- 57:29Speaker 1: have lost that match. The same thing has happened to
- 57:33Speaker 1: Sammy countless times, and he admits it's a little bit hypocritical,
- 57:36Speaker 1: and I don't feel very good about this. So Sammy
- 57:39Speaker 1: looks up at the WrestleMania sign and he's contemplating, you know,
- 57:42Speaker 1: what he wants to do, and ultimately he gives Carmelo
- 57:47Speaker 1: Hayes the match, but it's the last time he wants
- 57:50Speaker 1: to hear about this. And then Trick started mocking Sammy,
- 57:53Speaker 1: so Sammy close lined him out of the ring. This
- 57:56Speaker 1: dragged on for far too long, but this is the
- 57:59Speaker 1: kind of segment where when you have a three hour show,
- 58:02Speaker 1: they will try to stall for time, and this is
- 58:05Speaker 1: one of those segments where it was like, all right,
- 58:06Speaker 1: a lot of standing around and contemplating and not a
- 58:09Speaker 1: whole lot going on because we have time to kill.
- 58:13Speaker 1: The more important thing though, as I'm watching this, is
- 58:15Speaker 1: that it sets up Carmelo Hayes to potentially I wasn't
- 58:19Speaker 1: expecting him to win the championship back, but it sets
- 58:21Speaker 1: him up to get back into the mix at WrestleMania
- 58:25Speaker 1: when it comes to the US title. And I said, Okay,
- 58:28Speaker 1: I can get behind this. We've got Carmelo Hayes in
- 58:31Speaker 1: the main event. Surely they're going to shoot some sort
- 58:35Speaker 1: of angle here, where like last week, Trick Williams, who's
- 58:38Speaker 1: probably gonna be out there doing commentary, which he was
- 58:41Speaker 1: he's gonna get involved, or you know, a little shorty
- 58:44Speaker 1: is gonna or Yadi or whatever the fuck he's gonna
- 58:46Speaker 1: get involved. There's going to be some sort of you know,
- 58:48Speaker 1: non finish or disqualification or something, and then Mellow will
- 58:53Speaker 1: be worked into the match and we'll get a triple
- 58:56Speaker 1: threat at WrestleMania. That was my feeling when this segment
- 59:01Speaker 1: was over. Of course, I'm applying logic to a typically
- 59:05Speaker 1: illogical situation here on this show, but that's what it
- 59:09Speaker 1: felt like coming out of this. More on that later.
- 59:14Speaker 1: So a good half hour had passed until we got
- 59:18Speaker 1: the next match here. They interrupted the show with some
- 59:21Speaker 1: actual wrestling between Alistair Black and Matt Cardona. Now remember
- 59:27Speaker 1: Matt Cardona has the broken wrist and he was checked
- 59:31Speaker 1: out by a trainer beforehand who said you're all good
- 59:35Speaker 1: to go out there, but he was selling the bad hand.
- 59:38Speaker 1: So Alistair avoided a rough rider. He placed Cardona up
- 59:42Speaker 1: on top, and Cardona ended up fighting him off and
- 59:45Speaker 1: hitting a dropkick, and then he hit a tiger driver
- 59:48Speaker 1: for a two count. So Cardona missed with a second
- 59:54Speaker 1: Brosky boot. He got dropped with a brainbuster, and the
- 59:58Speaker 1: two men are exchanging strikes on until Cardona gets caught
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: with a black mass and he goes ninety Night Matt
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: Cardona the knockout blow down, he goes and Alistair Black
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: wins another match. This was fine. It was a match
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: here on the show. Didn't have a lot of heat,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: didn't really have any heat because no one's been given
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: a real reason to care much about either of these
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: two men. And I say that, you know, Alistair Black,
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: he has two big wins in the last month, month
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: and a half. He's pinned Randy Orton and Sammy's Ain.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Randy Orton is going to the main event of WrestleMania,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: sammy's An is the United States Champion. He has pinfall
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: wins over both of them. Now, they didn't really register
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: all that much because the reason he won it was
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: really more of a means to an end to a
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: bigger angle that was going on. It was almost kind
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: of overshadowed completely by that. But he still has two
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: big wins. So coming out of WrestleMania, it would make
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: sense for him to challenge for the US title, or
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: maybe even challenge Randy Orton if he wins the WWE
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: Championship because he has a pinfall win over him. Are
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: they going to follow up on that and actually do
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: the match? I have no idea. I'm just pointing out
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: the facts. Anyway, the match was fine. In the back,
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Kathy Kelly was talking to Bailey and Lyra Valcarry. Bailey
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: mentioned losing her WrestleMania match last year. She was supposed
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: to have one got taken away from her, but she's
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: built a career off fighting with her back against the wall.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Lyra says WrestleMania is about making things up to Bailey
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: for what happened last year. Charlotte and Alexa they hadn't
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: gone through anything like what the two of them have
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: been through over the past year. Elsewhere, Our Truth was
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: with Johnny Gargano and Candice Lray, who plugged Gargano's match
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: at Stand and Deliver, which is now Later tonight, Johnny
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: Garganta was challenging Miles Bourne for the North American Championship.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: They said that tomorrow night, Johnny Wrestling is back. After
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: they left, Namian pre showed up and he asked Our Truth,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: what's up with you giving Kit Wilson and Miss a
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: tag team title? Match tonight. This is our first defense,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: and Truth said that it was because Kit, Wilson and
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: Miz were cursed by Oscar. I thought he said Oscar
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: at first, I'm like, who the fuck is Oscar? He
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: was talking about Oscar, so he mistook Dan Hausen for
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Oscar because they both wear face paint and they're both
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: very scary. So Price tried to explain that Dan Housen
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: and Oscar are two different people, and then after a
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: while he just gave up. I'm about ready to give
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: up on this show. I'm still hanging in there, but
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: I'm getting pretty close. Charlotte Flare and a Lexiblist. They
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: took on Bailey and Lyra Valkyria. They showed a shot,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: a still shot from last week of the moment where
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: Nikki Bella injured her ankle. It was actually something that
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: it didn't happen outside the ring. It happened in the ring,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: and her ankle the way it bent it looked gnarly.
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: That's not broken. I believe it was a bad sprain.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: They said that she's doing everything in her power to
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: make sure that she is back in time for Wrestlemanie.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Lyra was isolated as she tried to make the tag
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: to Bailey. She finally did. Bailey sent Charlotte backwards into
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: the turnbuckles with a running sunset flip bomb, so Bailey
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: and Charlotte they end up on top, and Lyra gave
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: her the assist that allowed Charlotte to get shoved off
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: Bailey with the big diving elbow drop not enough to
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: secure the wind, so Valkyria tagged in. She went up
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: top and they had a double team Samoan drop block
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: buster combo for a near fall. Lyra again went up top.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: She went for a dive. Charlotte caught her, though ended
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: up locking her in the figure eight. Bailey was able
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: to break that up, so then Alexa Bliss tagged into
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: the match and things broke down, all four women going
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: back and forth, and finally Bliss and Flare they hit
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: stereo natural selections and they get the win. And when
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: it was over, Naya Jackson lash Legend they attacked both
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: teams and left them laying. I have dragged these women's
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: tag team matches for weeks now because they just haven't
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: been very good and I don't know what's going on.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: You have some good wrestlers in these matches. And it's
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: just not clicking like these matches. The matches have not
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: been very good in the finishes have been horrendous because
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: they just don't want to beat anybody because they want
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: to save it for the multi team match of WrestleMania.
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: So I was pleasantly surprised that they actually gave Charlotte
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: and Alexa the clean win. We got a clean win,
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: an actual finish to what I thought was a good match,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: honestly easily the best of all the women's tag matches
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: that we've seen on TV, going back probably three or
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: four weeks between these two teams, Damnian Priest and Our Truth,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: they defended their WWE tag team titles against The Miz
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: and Kit Wilson. Now backstage before the match, the Miz
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: told kit Wilson that the curse is a myth, doesn't exist,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: and he asked, how did we end up getting a
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: tag team title shot if the curse was real. Dan
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: Housen showed up and he offered to join the ringside
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: and Mis told them to get lost, stay away from
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: the ring. So after a commercial break in this match,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: Mis attempted a skull crushing finale on Our Truth, No Dice,
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Truth got the tagged a priest who cleaned house on
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: the heels. Truth TechEd back in. He tried for an
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: attitude adjustment, couldn't get it. Truth and Kit Wilson. They
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: end up down and dan Housen's music hits and he
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: comes out and the fans cheer. He gets up on
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: the apron on the heel side and he wants to
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: tag into the match, a match that he is not
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: legally a part of, but he wants the tag from
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: the Miz. When the Miz gets up and he realizes
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: what's going on here, Mis tells him to get out,
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: and Mis goes and he's arguing with the referee. Meanwhile,
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: Truth makes it back to his feet and he looks
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: over and he sees dan Housen on the heel side
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: reaching for a tag, and he tags dan Housen into
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: the match and the fans pop and dan Housen gets
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: him Miss again yells at him to leave, but then
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: dan Housen was about to put a curse on him,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: and he goes, you ah, and the fans are chanting
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: along you are, and before he could curse the Miz,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: he pulls the referee Dan Engler, I believe it was
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: Dan Angler pulls him in the way and so dan
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: Housen curses the referee. Instead, Miz was about to hit
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: a skull crushing finale to Dan Housen. The lights go
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: out and when they come back on, he's gone. They
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: cut to the aisle. They actually show him running towards
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: the back. Truth got dropped with the skull crushing finale though,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: and Mis had the match one. He had a pinned
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: and the referee counted one. The referee counted two, and
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: before he could count three, he got a cramp in
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: his arm. Something happened to his I hate the eye.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Oh I hate those cramps. I don't get them in
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: the arm. I usually get them in the quad or
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the foot, and let me tell you, they fucking suck.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: But he went to go count three and all of
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: a sudden he couldn't do it, and he held his
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: hand and now he's like, he's got pain in his arm.
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: It's from the curse and Mis can't believe this. Meanwhile,
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: Damian Priest has tagged into the match. He hit South
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: of Heaven on the Miz and they beat the Miz
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: and Kit Wilson to retain the tag team titles. Now look,
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: I can sit here and shit all over this because
- 1:07:56Speaker 1: of course it was fucking dumb, but it's Dan House.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: This is what he does, like the Dan Housen gimmick.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Everything about Dan Housen is silly, so of course this
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: was silly. The fans liked it. I will admit I
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: got to chuckle out of it when they did the
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: referee spot as goofy as it was, I was amused.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: It's goofy shit. But again, that's why Dan Housen is
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: here to do goofy shit like, he's the comic relief
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: on the show. The only thing is I'd be able
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: to tolerate it a little bit better if the rest
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: of the show wasn't such shit. But because we get
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: a show like we had tonight, where it's just from
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: one bad thing to the next, and then you see
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: something like this and this is just the cherry on
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: the shit Sunday, I'd be able to tolerate it a
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: little bit better if we had this great, interesting, exciting
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: show and then it's like, all right, now we have
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: some time for some comic relief. All right, you know,
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: let's bring the mood down a little bit, let's laugh
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: a little bit. And then we'll get back to the
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: serious stuff. The problem is the serious stuff is no good.

- 1:10:19Speaker 1: slash harmony. But when the match was over, they tried
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: something a little bit different. Cody roadstorms out, no music
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: or anything. It's just like here he is, and he
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: storms out and he delivers a Crossroads to Kit Wilson
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: lays him out. So now Cody gets the microphone and
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: he said that he's all fired up. So he got
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: all dressed up to find out who Randy Orton's been
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: talking to on the phone, and there were fans booing.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Cody compared the McAfee reveal. He goes Pat McAfee being
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: revealed as the one on the phone would be the
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: equivalent to Scott Hall and Kevin Nash at Bash at
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: the Beach when they were revealing who the third man was,
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: and instead of Hulk Hogan coming out, it was Disco Inferno.
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: Cody Roads will never miss an opportunity to stick it
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: to Disco Inferno. That was actually one of the best
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: moments on the entire show. I had a nice little
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: laugh at that. Cody will never miss an opportunity, whether
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: it's on social media or whether it's on the television show,
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: to bury Disco Inferno. And he did it again here tonight.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: So Cody called McAfee a stoner grifter, logan Paul without muscles,
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: and a human hat rack. Cody said McAfee had a
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: receipt coming just like Travis Scunt. He said he felt
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: it and he should have because McAfee is a former
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: NFL punter. He said that McAfee and everyone who represents
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: him could kiss his ass. So, I don't know if
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: that was supposed to be shot at Ari Emmanuel or
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: the Rock or I don't know. I don't know. Aria
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: Emmanuel does literally represent Pat McAfee though, So then Cody's like,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: oh no, is that too far? What are you gonna do?
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: Fire me? Now? He thinks he's Rick Flair. What are
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: you gonna do? Fire me? I'm already fired fire me? Now?
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: What are you gonna do? Fire me? He says? It
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: sure worked out the last time. He said, that's what
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Randy Yorton wants for his legacy. Cody said Orton was
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: his mentor and his hero. He said, Stephanie McMahon told
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: him he needs to go to a dark place to
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: become a bad guy. Cody said, he hears it right,
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: the dark hair. You want me to go back to
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: the dark hair. The whole thing, he said. The truth is,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: I don't know if I know how to do that anymore.
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: I've got two kids, I've got my dream job here
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: in front of this audience tonight. And he talked about wrestling,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: Roman Reigns and John Unsena and The Rock, but he
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: said they were also wrestling him because basically he's bringing
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: up like all of these WrestleMania main events and all
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: of the big business that those WrestleManias did. So he
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: had Seena, he had the Rock, he had Rome, he
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: had all these big names, but the common denominator is
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: that they were all in the ring wrestling Cody roads. So.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Cody said, it's a wrestling match with twenty years of
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: history with the two very best wrestlers to do it.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: He said, finally, hearing the voices inside his head or
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: he is hearing the voices inside his head, but you
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: don't want to know what they have to say. And
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: he dropped the mic and he stormed off. Cody is
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: very good when it comes to kind I've said this
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: before cutting the Fiery Babyface promo, and he was very
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: good here in this segment. I could do without the
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: mentions of like, oh, I know people want me to
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: beat the bad guy again, that's just when you're on
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: when you're watching the show. I know we're in the
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: age of unreal and k Fabe is mostly dead, and
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: I get all that. I don't want to be watching
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: Rars SmackDown and have people in the ring on the
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: show talking about heels and babyfaces being a good guy
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: or a bad guy. I just think that's fucking lame.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: I think that has no place on the actual television show.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: You know. I know that's something you know from the
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Russeau playbook. It's fucking bullshit. It should not be on
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: the show. So whoever's saying it, that doesn't matter whether
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: it's Cody or anybody else. It's stupid. And I just
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: think that's dumb. As far as the you know, the
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: other stuff here, him getting darker he's teasing it again.
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: I don't see Cody going heel. If he wants to
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: show a harder edge, if he wants to show a
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: more sinister side, that's fine. A lot of what he
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: said here in this promo though, talking about twenty years
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: of history, Randy or used to be my hero, he
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: used to be my mentor him coming out and cutting
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: the angry, fiery babyface promo that he did tonight. You
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: did not need the stuff with Pat McAfee to get here.
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: That's my point. And again, I know they may have
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: been forced into it because they had to work him
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: into the show somehow. I'm just saying one of the
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: reasons I hate what they did is because it is
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: totally unnecessary. You could have had Cody come out and
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: cut this promo after he was bloodied up by Randy Yorton. Instead,
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: they came out and had that very lazy, very lame
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: pull apart brawl last week. This is the promo that
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: Cody should have come out and cut after Randy Orton
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: bloodied him and caved his head into a chair. And
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: you didn't need Pat McAfee or a phone call to
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: do that. So they take something that again, you don't
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: have to overcomplicate it, and they feel the need to
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: overcomplicate it and add things to it that don't need
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: to be added, and it just kills it. That's my
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: biggest gripe with this Randy Orton and Cody Roads as
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: like a big match should sell itself. You don't need
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: all the extra rainious bullshit. Sammy's Ain and Carmelo Hayes.
- 1:16:07Speaker 1: They were in the main event tonight for the United
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: States Championship Trick Williams and Lil YACHTI. They came out
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: during the commercial break. They stayed ringside for the match,
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: which again only made me think Trick's gonna get involved
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: here that before the break, Sammy rolled out of the ring.
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: He got dropped with a Fosberry flop by Hayes out
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: over the top row to the floor, but he was
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: selling that. He tweaked his knee on the landing, so
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: late in the match he tried for the first forty eight,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: it got blocked. Sammy caught him with an exploder into
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: the corner. He tried for a Halluva kick ate a
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: super kick. Instead, Sammy tried for a blue thunderbomb and
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: he got caught with the first forty eight. Hayes headed
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: to the top trying for nothing, but net Zane, though,
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: avoided it, and that caused Melow to come down on
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: the bad leg and he reaches down and he's selling
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: it and the referee comes over to check on him.
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: So now they're in the corner and the referee is
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: in the corner with his back turn. Sammy's in the
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: opposite corner and he's getting set up for the halluva kick.
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Referee is checking on Carmelo Hayes. Sammy's not waiting, so
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: he comes charging in for the halluva kick. Referee got
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: out of the way it just barely at the last moment,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: and he caught Mellow with the kick right to the
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: face and he covered him. So he took advantage of
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: the situation. Carmelo Hayes was busy with the referee and
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: he got caught off guard by Sammy. Although there's nothing
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: illegal about that, right. He didn't cheat, He didn't roll
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: him up with a fist full of tights, he didn't
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: use brass nuts, he didn't put his feet on the ropes.
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: Trick Williams never left his seat. This is as clean
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: of a win as you could possibly ask for and
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Sammy's aim pins Carmelo Hayes second straight week and he
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: retains the United States Championship. Now, after the match was over,
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Lil Yachti got back on the mic more of this,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: and he introduced Trick Williams in the ring. Samby took
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: exception to Lil Yachti calling him gingerbread Man, and Williams
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: hit him from behind before hitting the trick shot knee
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: and then he posed with the US title. And that
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: is how SmackDown, one of the worst episodes of this
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: show that you will see, went off the air. So, yes,
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: they beat Carmelo Hayes in the main event. No mention,
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: I mean, I guess they wouldn't mention it now anyway,
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: If anything, it would be on the show next week.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: As far as potentially him still trying to work his
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: way in, I don't see it. I don't see the
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: path I did this week. It would have been very
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: easy to add him to that match of wrestle Media.
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: And that also tells me what they did tonight tells
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: me that he's not going to be added, because if
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: he was, it would have happened tonight. His two Smackdowns left.
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: But He's now lost twice in a row. It's like
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: there were people who were saying after last week, Oh,
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: you can add Ilia Dragonov and you could just make
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: it a four way and you can have Sammy and
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: Dragonov and Hayes and Trick, And I'm like, sure, that
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: would be a great match. And I would love for
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: Ilia Dragonov to find his way on the WrestleMania card.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: It's not gonna happen. And you know what, it doesn't
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: make any sense because he lost clean to Carmelo Hayes.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: So why would Ila Dragonov be added to this. Well,
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: you got to apply the same logic now to Carmelo Hayes.
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: Why would Carmelo Hayes be added? He lost twice. That's it,
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: It's over. And so him being left off the WrestleMania
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: card is a fucking disgrace because what he said in
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: his promo earlier was one hundred percent true. He has
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: been carrying in many ways this show for months with
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: these US title open challenges, as did the people that
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: came before him. That this consists instantly the best part
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: of the show, going back to the fall when Sammy
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: had that championship the first time and he went to
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: John Cena and said, do I have your blessing to
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: bring back the Open Challenge? And ever since then, it's
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: been the highlight of the night most weeks on this
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: television program. He's been putting in the work. He's been
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: having really good matches, and you know, you have a
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: two night car that's gonna have fourteen matches probably and
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: you're gonna have a US title match on this show,
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: and you can't find a spot for him even in
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: that match, at least story wise, it would make all
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: the sense in the world for him to be worked
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: into that match, even if they have some sort of plan,
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: which I think they very well might for WrestleMania to
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: do a double turn, like officially do a double turn
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: with Sammy z Ain and Carmelo hay or Sammy's ay
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: and Trick Williams. Doesn't mean you can't have Carmelo Hayes
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: in the match and still do a double turn with
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: the other two. You could still do that, and I
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: wouldn't expect Melo to win. But for him, if he
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: really is just off the show, it's a disgrace. It's
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: an absolute slap in the face, and it would make
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: the match better by having him in there. This show sucked.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: I don't know what else you want me to say
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: about this show. This is the worst wrestling show of
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: the entire week. Of all the wrestling shows on television,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: this is easily the worst one of the week. RAW
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: will have bad shows. Raw'sal can be inconsistent, but by
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: and large, Raw is nowhere near as bad as SmackDown NXT.
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: I don't watch NXT on most weeks. I've heard conflicting
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: things about NXT, although I'm planning on checking out stand
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: and Delivered tonight, so I'll reserve judgment. I guess on NXT,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: Dynamite has its good weeks and bad weeks. I think
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: more good than bad. Dynamite is certainly nowhere near as
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: terrible as SmackDown has been lately. I don't give a
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: shit what you say Collision when I dip in and
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: I check out Collision. To me, it's an inoffensive show.
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: You get some good wrestling on there. It feels very unimportant,
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: but it's not a terrible show. It's not terrible the
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: way SmackDown is actively bad. So I don't want to
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: hear this. Well, Collision is on the air, Yeah, that's okay.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: Fine haha, No, Collision is not nearly as bad as SmackDown.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: SmackDown is the worst wrestling television show of the week
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: when I check in with TNA Impact. And by the way,
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: they had a really good opening match on Impact this week,
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: really hot finishing sequence, too good weeks, bad weeks, not
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: a bad wrestling show. SmackDown is a terrible show. Road
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: Doug quitting leaving whatever didn't change a thing. This show sucks.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: This show needs just an overall. You got to stick
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: dynamite in this show, and I don't mean aw dynamite,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: actual dynamite and blow the whole fucking thing up and
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: start all over again, because I don't know. I don't
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: know what else to say. I really don't. You have
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: all of these minds sitting in a room coming up
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: with ideas on what to do on this show every
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: single week, and the fact that consistently on this road
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: to WrestleMania, these shows are progressively getting worse. It's like
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: they're actively trying to find ways to make the show bad,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: which I assume they're not, but that's how it feels.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: And you have all of these people who sit around thinking, yep,
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: you know what got I think we got a winner here.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: What does that say about those people? Maybe those people
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: need to leave blow that room up too. I don't know.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I'm not sure what the answer is beyond that. But
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: it got off to a terrible start tonight with that
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: terrible conclusion to the angle, the big phone call angle,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: and it didn't get much better from there. Now we
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: have two smackdowns left before WrestleMania. I'd love to sit
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: here and tell you that it can only get better
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: from here. That's what I thought last week, and somehow
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: it how worse, and next week it may go even lower.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: What celebrity will they trot out next week? Who else
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: can they trot out next week? What other influencer can
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: they trot out on the show next week? Let's come
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: up with a list of names as if that will
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: somehow make the show better. What did you think of?
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: SmackDown from Saint Louis almost eighty six percent thumbs down
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: for tonight's show fourteen percent thumbs up. That's actually higher
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: than I thought it would be. Tom Brady, Oh, God,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: Tom Brady, you know what I forgot about him? God?
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: You know they are actually trying to get Tom Brady
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: for WrestleMania. We may soon be adding Tom Brady to
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: the list. Oh man, whatever, this show is fucking, fucking awful,
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: fucking drek. It's good to see we're one away from
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: the bonus goal. One more super chat. We'll do a
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: double B the Booker at least if nothing else, we
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: may get a double B the Booker tonight. That'll be
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: the one saving Grace Lynnette. Was the purpose of putting
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: Chris Min, Juan de Malenka and the Four Horsemen to
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: get them over as the next young stars of WCW.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: I would like to tell you the answer is yes,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: but no, no, I don't think that really was the
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: main reason of putting them in the Horseman. I think
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: the main reason I think they were inserted into the
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: Horsemen was the end. They were looking for talents that
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: kind of fit that gritty, technical, sort of in ring style.
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: You know, arn Anderson was traditionally the enforcer of the Horsemen,
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: so I think they were looking for somebody to kind
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: of be in that type of role. And you got
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: two great technical wrestlers, and you know Ben Wabb of
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: course can work that tough style, a stiff, rugged in
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: ring style. I think that's the reason why they went
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: with them. I don't think they ever had any plans
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: on well, we got to put them in the Horsemen
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: because they're gonna one debut world champions for us, Like
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: that didn't factor into it. PJK with a nine to
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: ninety nine. We did, by the way, just hit the bonus,
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: going hell, yeah, thank you guys, keep them coming. We're
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: getting a double tonight. Anyway, says a question. Had a
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: discussion in a group chat what is more important longevity
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: or lightning in a bottle. My friends were saying Austin
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: was more important than Undertaker, But I said Austin had
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: two maybe three years on top. Yeah, but you're looking
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: at it the wrong way. Austin was so important to
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: that company turning a corner when they did. Undertaker could
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: have been there for fifty years and he would not
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: have been as important as Austin was getting hot and
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: over at the time that he did. He got over
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: at the right time and with the right person in
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: the right place at the right time, and it led
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: to this explosion for the company and this influx of
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: new fans, to the point where people, as we saw tonight,
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: are still reminiscing about the era that Austin is the
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: face of. We literally had Pat McAfee on television tonight
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: talking about how terrible the product is today and doing
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: a stone cold Steve Austin impression and reminiscing about the
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: attitude era. Right, he wasn't out there, you know, mimicking
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: the Undertaker. So I mean that really tells you something,
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: right there. Austin's run on top was not that long,
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: but it was far more impactful. So to answer your question,
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: sometimes lightning in a bottle can be far more important.
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: Death sythe Gunther's reason could be punk In himself left
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: everything in the ring for the World Heavyweight Championship. Punk
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: was the better man that night. Seth made a mockery
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: of their match by faking an injury, cashing in and
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: stole what Punk rightfully won from him. Yeah, I don't
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: think that works. I don't think that works. So now
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: nine months later, he's coming for revenge on Seth rollins.
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: It doesn't work. I see what you're saying, but I
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: don't like that as the reason. Ragnarok with a five.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: That opening segment was straight out of WCW. Nitrop Pat McAfee,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: Thank God for oba against Brock and Happy Friday brother Solo.
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: Thank you Ragnarok, Same to you, super Pony. I live
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: in Vegas and was considering going to the night Cody
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: versus Randy would be on. Now I'm not going to
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: either night. This company is dog shit. Save your money,
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: just watch it from home, Roca Thrilla twenty three. Aj
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: Styles wasn't lying when he said WrestleMania has lost its luster.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: The build up this year is horrible and not exciting
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: at all. Looking forward to aw Dynasty though it's gonna
- 1:30:06Speaker 1: be a good show Chicago for MBK, says orton McAfee.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: That was awful, just awful, gmb with the four ninety nine.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: If Bianca returns to help Ria at WrestleMania, it makes
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: her look like a clown. Bianca has no beef with Jade,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: while there's obvious beef with Rhea. Well, we don't got
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: to worry about that now, because apparently Rhea is gonna
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: have EO Sky in her corner to watch her back,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: so she doesn't need Bianca. Britton Millhouse not catching the
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: stream tonight, Pat McAfee inserted into your main event story
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: made me go out and drink. See you Monday, brother
- 1:30:57Speaker 1: have a shot for me or three Dry Chicken says,
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: screw it. Orton McAfee as a duo, I'll call them
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: the Apex Punters. Robbie, I honestly didn't believe this company
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: could do as bad or worse than that abomination of
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: a main event with Travis Scott last year, and Creative said,
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: hold my beer, lessons were not learned. Lessons were not
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: learned from last year. Paul Van Summer and Pat McAfee.
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: Was certainly a choice, Yes, it was, Yes, it was.
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: It was certainly a choice. Also, it says wrestling has
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: more than one royal punter. Drew Mackincock, Sexy Red turned
- 1:31:57Speaker 1: SmackDown into STD all that that's right. That was another
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: celebrity appearance we had tonight. They showed Sexy Red in
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: the crowd because NXT is in town. She's like the
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: residence celebrity, like what Poppy used to be when Triple
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: H was in charge of NXT. Now it's sexy Red.
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: Sean Michaels love Sexy Red, so she was in the
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: crowd tonight. Death Site says, what are the Creative team smoking, snorting,
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: injecting and drinking? When they booked this shit. The answer
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: is yes, all of the above. Sickoh aw. When is
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: Dan Housen gonna curse Triple No's I think he already did.
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: Maybe that's why the shows have gotten so much worse.
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: It's the dan Housen curse. Dried Chicken says, would you
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: like to say see Dan Housen and City Field throw
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: at Cityfield throwing out the first pitch? No, Now, the
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: Mets have been cursed for years. We don't need the
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: we need. We need the anti curse is what we need. Gabe,
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: what's going on? Gabe? Dixie Carter would have been a
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: better reveal than Pat Chicago For MBK, best thing on
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: SmackDown was Oba and Brock recap. Yes, yes, you are correct.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: The Meal slayer with a nine ninety nine. Some people
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: said it was Ko, others said it was the Rock,
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: others said DBIASI who do we get the punter turned
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: commentator and occasional resident and don't forget actor now he's
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: going to be the next Sylvester Stallone says that segment
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: infuriated me to near nausea. It was very lame. Even
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: lamer will be having to listen to the people who
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: are going to heap praise upon it, because you know
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: those people are out there and they're going to heap
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: praise upon it is how great of a promo it
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: was and how cool it was and shakes things up.
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: Now for WrestleMania, now we're going to be subjected to
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: all that. It's great. Dry Chicken says, I'm rooting for
- 1:34:29Speaker 1: Jade car Gil to beat up in Dirty at Maria.
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: Before WrestleMania, Mac Tubb Brett was right about Triple H's
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: lack of creative ideas. You could have just ended your
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: super chat after the first three words. Brett was right.
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: Holiday one ninety seven, Hi Solo. I've taken a WWE
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: hiatus since Cody won the belt back. WrestleMania this year
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: is looking lack l us through with no long term booking,
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: and Cody is the Golden Boy. The downside is missing
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: your reviews. But I need a total WWE cleanse. You
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: can have a total WWE cleanse but still tuned into
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: and hang out on the streams. You do know that, right,
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: You're always welcome here. You don't have to leave us,
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: you don't have to go cold Turkey. You just don't
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: have to put the TV on Philip says, to be
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: a bit positive. It's cool hearing Hikarushida came back. It
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: is Yes, she came back to Russell Willow, I believe
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: on a collision. But with her, I always wonder like
- 1:35:45Speaker 1: she'll come back and then she'll disappear, so like is
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: she back for good? Or is she only back for
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: a few weeks and then she vanishes again. Death Site
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: says people have wondered if Cody ever turned heel, who
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: would take his spot, and nobody had an answer. Well,
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: I got one, Oba Femi. Yes, well Obafemi is on Raw.
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: I'm talking about SmackDown, and Oba Femi could one day
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: be that guy kind of overall as the top babyface.
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: But it's too early for that. You know, you don't
- 1:36:21Speaker 1: become the top like face of the promotion after three months, Like,
- 1:36:26Speaker 1: it doesn't work that way. But if he's on Raw,
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: you still have the issue of you're taking your top
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: babyface and turning him heel on SmackDown. So if let's
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: say Trick Williams one day could end up in that
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: spot again, you're not there yet. That was my whole
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: point in talking about why turning Cody heel right now?
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: Wouldn't make a lot of sense to me. Holiday says,
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: I learned that Pat McAfee returned and turned heel to
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: side with Orton against Rhodes. Not that I was enthusiastic
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: about their feud, but this was a dreadful direction for
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: THEE and this ruined it. WrestleMania keeps getting worse. Yeah,
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: I mean, no lies detected in anything you said there,
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: Phillip says by herself. Seven or No Country for Old Men?
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: Oh Man, two very good movies, two very good movies.
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: I'm gonna go seven, but I do love No Country
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: for Old Men, Ossie of Steele, no other way to
- 1:37:31Speaker 1: put it. This was putrid. Also, no Julia, Tiffany or
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: Chelsea on the show tonight. Got a feeling they might
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: get bumped to the go home SmackDown. That's exactly what
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: it feels like. It feels like there's gonna be a match,
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: and it's gonna be on the Friday before that and
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: the Andre Battle Royal death side. Speaking of Oba, it
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: would really be Would it really be so bad if
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: not only does he stand tall throughout the build but
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: also beats Brock at WrestleMania forty two. That is a statement,
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: that's what they should do, but that's not how they operate.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: Very unlikely that that would happen. Nick Grosso with the
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: nine ninety nine horrible creative to leave Mellow out of WrestleMania,
- 1:38:15Speaker 1: just got Sammy go away heat. Also, why is EO
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: getting involved in the Ria in Jade feud? Please tell
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: me she's gonna have a match and not just be
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: in Ria's corner. They didn't clarify it, but it doesn't
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: look good based on the way that they were talking
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: when they were previewing the show, unless she's gonna have
- 1:38:33Speaker 1: a match and also be in Ria's corner, which is possible,
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: especially if her match maybe is on a different night.
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: See if her match against Oscar. Let's say they do
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: the match, If that's on Night one, and then Ria
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: and Jade is on Night two, then it's fine. Then
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: we get EO on both nights, which I wouldn't mind,
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: But they didn't clarify and so I'm not sure, but
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: it's not sounding too good. Mactub I always thought giving
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: Triple H credit for Vince's ideas plus Rock's Final Boss
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: run was stupid and that he should be judged after
- 1:39:13Speaker 1: Cody wins he can't book, he books again for the moments,
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: he books for the moments again cinema, and you know,
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: the mystery angles, one after the other after the other,
- 1:39:28Speaker 1: back to back to back, becoming clear with each passing year.
- 1:39:33Speaker 1: You know what his style is like. And I mean,
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: it's just it's like he's devoid of any great ideas.
- 1:39:41Speaker 1: That's why, that's why I'm I'm not really sure that
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: he wouldn't go back to kind of re re engaging
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: the whole bloodline angle. The OG bloodline could very well
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: be what we're left with the end of WrestleMania, and
- 1:39:57Speaker 1: I really hope not. I really hope not, because just
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: going back to that and we have a brand new
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: version of the bloodline would be so ridiculously stupid. Instead
- 1:40:09Speaker 1: of trying to create something new to fall back again
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: on the old, well, we still have TMU bloodline on SmackDown.
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: I think that would say a lot, honestly about Triple
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: H and his booking if he feels the need to
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: fall back on the bloodline stuff again. And that's just
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: one example. But the bloom has been off the rose
- 1:40:31Speaker 1: with Triple H for a while now. There was the
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: honeymoon phase because he wasn't Vince, and Vince was fucking terrible.
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: But the balloom has been off the rose for a while.
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: This is not really something new Dried Chicken says. Here's
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: TKO dried Chicken. Pat McAfee is the greatest wrestler of
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: all time. McAfee. That's a TKO's perspective. Thank you, brother.
- 1:40:57Speaker 1: It's just kidding. The WWE creative team has an unhealthy
- 1:41:00Speaker 1: obsession with using Pat McAfee on TV. I need to
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: send Triple h Fried Chicken with well, you know why,
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: he's getting paid so much money. They probably feel like
- 1:41:10Speaker 1: they want to return on their investment, so they got
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: to feature him in as many different places as possible.
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: Venom Catetsu. Maybe Stephanie will side with Cody and instead
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: of a McMahon in every corner, we'll just get a
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: Mick on both sides instead McAfee and McMahon, and then
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: Drew McIntyre does a run in. Johnny Burnie can't believe
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: I live to see two guest host eras of WWE
- 1:41:47Speaker 1: feels that way, doesn't it, Hank? Did they bump Carmelo
- 1:41:54Speaker 1: from Mania? It's a cruel business. Well, I mean, look,
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: there's two weeks left to go. But it sure looks
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: that way. Sucks. It really sucks. Venom Caitetsu. What did
- 1:42:12Speaker 1: Disco ever do to Cody that was rough? You gotta
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: go look up the old twitter exchange. It was a
- 1:42:24Speaker 1: tweet that Cody was replying to the way he cooked
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: him the first time, all those years ago. I think
- 1:42:31Speaker 1: it was when Cody was still on the independent scene,
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: in between WWE and eventually starting up AW. Let me
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: see if I can find it. Actually, I don't know
- 1:42:48Speaker 1: if he ever commented on Disco before that. Oh, this
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: is okay, so here it is. This is what it was.
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: It was from twenty eighteen. Hold on a second, Hold
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: on a second. Here you see that on screen? Can
- 1:43:08Speaker 1: I I can't. I can't drag it down like maybe
- 1:43:11Speaker 1: I can. Maybe I can't. No, I can't. Anyway, that
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: tweet you see up there, that's the Disco tweet says
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: nobody knows how to work anymore. They would rather kill
- 1:43:26Speaker 1: each other to get Dave Meltzer to put their match over.
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: This is a problem that needs to be put front
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: and center. Guys are going to keep getting a hurt.
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: There were a bunch of other things as well. This
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: is not the only thing that got people riled up.
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: But Cody's response was stop, you know nothing. You have
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: drawn zero dollars. No fan has ever left the show
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: thinking about you. You were lucky to be a juiced
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: up double lifer over with the boys type in an
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: era where you hit in plain sight, coasting on other success.
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: Couldn't hang then can't get booked. Now there there had
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: to be something that either happened or was said. Ah,
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: beyond that, because that that does sound deeply personal, So
- 1:44:16Speaker 1: beyond that, I don't. I don't know what else it
- 1:44:18Speaker 1: was that may have set Cody off, But that's the
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: famous tweet. That's the famous tweet where he burned disco Inferno. Well,
- 1:44:31Speaker 1: they had a catchy theme song. If nothing else, Mac Tubb,
- 1:44:35Speaker 1: no hate. Uh. Why do you and most creators always
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: mention Hogan's scandal His privacy was breached by the way
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: I love, I love when people cite that. I have
- 1:44:51Speaker 1: to mention that every single time his privacy was breached,
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: as if it's some sort of fucking excuse while discussing him,
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: but never Austin's domestic violence. I've mentioned Dawson's domestic VirB
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: I've gotten mailbag questions over the years about it. But
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: so I can't speak for other creators, but the Hogan.
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: The thing about the Hogan thing I love is where
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: when Hogan apologized to the locker room, which was not
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: so much said to be an apology as much as
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: don't get caught, just be careful, don't get caught when
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: you're speaking in private. And you wonder why a lot
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: of people didn't really trust Hogan's apology, you can understand
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: why they would be upset. A Crimson slice, what's going on?
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: Thank you for the four ninety nine Misfit Wrestling podcast
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: going on with a five. Fu Ba bah Ari lied
- 1:46:09Speaker 1: when he said he wouldn't get involved with the creative
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: aspect of the show. What a load of horseshit, dry chicken.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: It's a good thing. You asked me to stay away
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: from the WWE creative team, and you need me in
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: the chat. I would probably fight everybody in that room
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: and get myself arrested. And you don't want you want
- 1:46:30Speaker 1: to be in that room. It's a bad place to be.
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: Cody Moore is TKO in control of what's going on,
- 1:46:41Speaker 1: and Triple h has to do his best to make
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: it work because I don't know what the fuck has
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: happened to Triple H creatively. This is ridiculous. Yeah, look,
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: I mean there are clearly select decisions when it comes
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: to certain top angles or top stories where I feel
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: like there's a phone call made, whether it's you know,
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: something that is communicated through Nick Kahn or directly to
- 1:47:09Speaker 1: Paul Leveck or whatever it is, or however the process works,
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: and it's Ari or somebody from TKO who says, hey,
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: we want this person involved, we want the Rock involved,
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: we want Pat McAfee involved, or we want to do
- 1:47:21Speaker 1: we want to do an angle on this show to
- 1:47:24Speaker 1: try to pop a big number for ESPN whatever it is.
- 1:47:28Speaker 1: But they're not sticking their nose in every single creative decision.
- 1:47:33Speaker 1: And it's not like this is the only terrible thing
- 1:47:35Speaker 1: on the show. So that's that's the quandary here, right.
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: How much of this do you want to attribute to
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: levec in his team and how much of it do
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: you want to credit to TKO. We can't just blame
- 1:47:47Speaker 1: everything on one of the other, but you can't blame
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: everything on TKO. Triple H still has other ideas that
- 1:47:53Speaker 1: he oversees and storylines on Ryan's SmackDown, and there's a
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: lot of shit on SmackDown beyond what we saw tonight.
- 1:47:59Speaker 1: That is fucking all and he deserves one hundred of
- 1:48:02Speaker 1: the blame for that, so he's not to be excused.
- 1:48:08Speaker 1: There may be certain things that are you know, he's
- 1:48:10Speaker 1: kind of forced into a certain position where he has
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: to do this or he has to use this person,
- 1:48:13Speaker 1: but can't explain the rest of it. The rest of
- 1:48:17Speaker 1: it's pretty awful too. It's just not good television. It's
- 1:48:22Speaker 1: just not And with the talent they have and the
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: resources they have, there's no reason for it. There's no
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: reason for it to be this bad. The man who
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: knew too much Solo Monster and Jad she set up
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: a wrestling company. We've talked about it. That ain't gonna happen.
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: That ain't gonna happen. John says, I think it's safe
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: to say collision is better than smack them, dude. I
- 1:48:51Speaker 1: think a hangnail is better than smack them. I think
- 1:48:58Speaker 1: a yeast infection is better than SmackDown. At least that
- 1:49:03Speaker 1: can get better. The Joker's voice with a ten spot.
- 1:49:11Speaker 1: Both Women's World Champions coming out of WrestleMania forty one
- 1:49:15Speaker 1: still have no match for this year. If I am
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: Carmelo Hayes has wwe just told me that there is
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: a ceiling and I just hit it. This show sucked.
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: I wouldn't say that this is his ceiling. I just think,
- 1:49:31Speaker 1: you know, for all of the time that they have
- 1:49:36Speaker 1: spent over the last several months letting him go out
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: there and do just do what he does best and
- 1:49:42Speaker 1: try to get himself over, to then leave him off
- 1:49:46Speaker 1: the WrestleMania card and take that title from him right
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: before WrestleMania and leave him off the card entirely when
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: Sammy and Trick did not need to even have a championship.
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: That's what sucks about the same situation. It doesn't mean
- 1:50:01Speaker 1: that he's not going to go higher up on than
- 1:50:04Speaker 1: where he is now. It just means that for this year,
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: for this WrestleMania, unfortunately, it's looking increasingly likely that he
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: will be left off the card and screwed out of
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: a spot that frankly, he should have had on a
- 1:50:15Speaker 1: fourteen match show. There's no excuse for that. Dry Chicken
- 1:50:23Speaker 1: says TNA or lol, TNA has more passion than SmackDown
- 1:50:32Speaker 1: La Brian. This is where Vince is missed. No, he's not.
- 1:50:37Speaker 1: He's not. He's not missed. He says, he, to the
- 1:50:42Speaker 1: most part, did a better job of making the writers
- 1:50:44Speaker 1: do a better job of storytelling. Vince is not missed.
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: Vince is not missed. That may have been true of
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: Vince's booking many years ago, but I think sometimes people
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: forget just how bad things got with him in charge
- 1:51:01Speaker 1: there towards the end. I'm sorry he has not missed.
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: That version of Vince is not missed. Donovan d I
- 1:51:15Speaker 1: think Triple H had nothing to do with the great
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: creative with Black and Gold ten years ago, but somehow
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: he took credit for it. For twelve months, the creative
- 1:51:22Speaker 1: has been downright awful. Yeah, I mean it has he
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: By the way, you know, on the NXT thing, Triple
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: H was not writing the shows Triple H had. I
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: wish I could remember who it was. I don't know
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: if it was Ryan Ward, it could have been somebody else,
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: Ryan katz Got, I don't remember who it was. There
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: was a main writer during that Black and Gold period,
- 1:51:48Speaker 1: and I feel like I agree. I feel like Triple
- 1:51:51Speaker 1: H gets more credit. He deserves credit, but he probably
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: gets more credit than he deserves for a lot of
- 1:51:59Speaker 1: the good stuff that took place during that era, because
- 1:52:02Speaker 1: there were other people who were assisting in terms of
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: the writing of the show, and they don't usually get mentioned,
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: they don't get shouted out, they don't really get credit,
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: and they probably should. Paul Carpenter, we want Rocky, we
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: want Rocky. You got them, you got them. Yeah he's here,
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: you got Pat McAfee, the famous words of Triple Ah.
- 1:52:26Speaker 1: We want Cross, we want Cross, you want Brock, Yes,
- 1:52:29Speaker 1: you got him. Dry Chicken says Triple H is quotes
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: from last year. Don't be a critic, just be a fan.
- 1:52:41Speaker 1: Shaking my head, the Rock was right to step away
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: to avoid the shit show. I think the Rock stepped
- 1:52:50Speaker 1: away because he was gonna just let Triple H kind
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: of hang himself, figuring the implosion would come at some point,
- 1:52:57Speaker 1: and when it does and the numbers get low enough,
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: that may be when the Rock makes his move. It's
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: definitely some political gamesmanship that's being played there between those two,
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: for sure. For sure, alex says brother Solo and Chad.
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: I have three words for all of you. Fuck this company.
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: Say it loud, say it proud, Alexander, My memory may
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: be bad. But when was the Women's US Belt last
- 1:53:27Speaker 1: defended on a pl since Chelsea won it for the
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: first time. I don't think it has been. I don't
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: think it has been, and honestly, I would not have
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: expected it to be on this WrestleMania show if every
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: other championship wasn't being defended, if it ends up not
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: being defended, because again, there's still time left to add
- 1:53:49Speaker 1: it to the show. I mean, look, we have Dynasties
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: coming up in what is it, eight days, AW has
- 1:53:57Speaker 1: a pay per view coming up in a little over
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: a week, and they've got six matches, which for a
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: WWE show would be overload. For an AW show, that
- 1:54:06Speaker 1: is a very incomplete pay per view, which means at
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: least half the matches on that show aren't even going
- 1:54:12Speaker 1: to get officially made until the week of the show.
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: So when it comes to WrestleMania, we could be looking
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: at a situation where maybe something gets added next week
- 1:54:23Speaker 1: and maybe Julia and Tiffany, But how are you going
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: to have every other championship and every other women's championship
- 1:54:31Speaker 1: defended at WrestleMania but leave that one off the show.
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: That's the insulting part otherwise I wouldn't even blink an eye.
- 1:54:39Speaker 1: I wouldn't even expect the women's mid card belts to
- 1:54:42Speaker 1: be defended on the show at all. Quite frankly, now,
- 1:54:48Speaker 1: the workingman, I do not care about Mania this year.
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: This blows. Wait until Saudi Mania next year and all
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: of the the discourse around that Terrence. I've tried and
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: tried and tried to give WWE the benefit of the doubt,
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: But after tonight I am broken. Screw TKO and screw
- 1:55:13Speaker 1: triple fraud. Well now they fifteen dollars superchat. My call
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: for Kyrie to take me away back to watching stardom
- 1:55:31Speaker 1: for a palate cleanser. Tonight. Cannot believe they found a
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: way to fumble this much. Love is always solo, still
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: the best at what you do. Thank you, brother, appreciate
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: that death side. Cody and Randy do not need pat
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: just like Rock and Austin did not need Debra. See
- 1:55:52Speaker 1: but the difference there is that they realized that they
- 1:55:55Speaker 1: did not need Debra and she disappeared after like two
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: weeks if you can believe, you know, some people don't
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: remember that. But as iconic as that, WrestleMania seventeen main
- 1:56:05Speaker 1: event is with Rock and Austin. They developed a story
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: based around Austin's wife being in the Rocks corner, and
- 1:56:15Speaker 1: it was very dumb and it did not They just
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: didn't need to do it, and they recognized there or
- 1:56:21Speaker 1: somebody got in Vince's ear and they dropped it. And Deborah,
- 1:56:25Speaker 1: she didn't factor into that WrestleMania match at all. So
- 1:56:29Speaker 1: they at least came to their senses here. We're not
- 1:56:32Speaker 1: going to be so lucky. They're not going to come
- 1:56:35Speaker 1: to their senses here because you know it came from above.
- 1:56:40Speaker 1: They got their marching orders, so they're going all the
- 1:56:43Speaker 1: way to Mania with this. That's the difference, Mike says
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: Pat McAfee having a spot on the Mania card. Meanwhile,
- 1:56:50Speaker 1: Mellow and Dragonov is an absolute joke the working men.
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: It doesn't matter how bad the product is. WWE knows
- 1:57:02Speaker 1: their diehard fans will watch them pay for anything, so
- 1:57:05Speaker 1: this shit will never end with the bad booking. They
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: definitely have their core base of fans that will always
- 1:57:13Speaker 1: be there. Also, the only match I care for and
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: want to see is Brock and Oba, So you're basically
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: looking forward to about six minutes of WrestleMania. This year,
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: six minutes across two nights. Hey Larry Jester, thank you,
- 1:57:32Speaker 1: brother David. Shows like this make me thankful that my
- 1:57:37Speaker 1: application to be on the creative team ended with Bruce
- 1:57:39Speaker 1: in my Facebook suggestions, dreadful, sackable conduct Leo. Thank god
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: for Dan Housen. He was the only thing about this
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: show that I enjoyed. He is the comic relief. He's
- 1:57:59Speaker 1: supposed to make you laugh. Ye, not a whole lot
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: to laugh about and be happy about on these shows.
- 1:58:05Speaker 1: Richie says Chris Jericho made the right decision after this show. Yeah,
- 1:58:12Speaker 1: I will be doing my Dynamite, my usual Dynamite review
- 1:58:16Speaker 1: on the sound off, so I will have full thoughts
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: on Chris Jericho this weekend. The last Quincy ten dollars
- 1:58:25Speaker 1: super chat. To be fair to, Pat McAfee is likely
- 1:58:29Speaker 1: just doing what his super agent is asking him to do.
- 1:58:32Speaker 1: Same thing with The Rock last year. He was just
- 1:58:34Speaker 1: helping the actual boss of TKO out. Yeah, but what
- 1:58:38Speaker 1: does that have to do with what we're talking about here.
- 1:58:41Speaker 1: We're not attacking Pat McAfee personally. We're attacking how fucking
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: awful this segment was. Has nothing to do with McAfee himself.
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: Has everything to do with a just bad television and
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: bad creative going into their biggest show of the year
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: for one of their main events. I think we all
- 1:59:00Speaker 1: understand why this is happening. Pat McAfee did not book
- 1:59:04Speaker 1: his own angle, The Workingman. This booking makes WCW two
- 1:59:12Speaker 1: thousand look amazing. Easy there, easy there, don't, don't, don't,
- 1:59:20Speaker 1: don't step over that line Bobby's World. From your comments
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: on TNT, I don't believe Cody sleeps in his suit.
- 1:59:30Speaker 1: I believe Cody sleeps in pajamas patterned in a suit.
- 1:59:34Speaker 1: Now with the little footies right, I could see that
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: the little footies look like shoes. I could see Cody
- 1:59:42Speaker 1: sleeping in suit pattern pajamas. Derek J. Speaks. No one
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: asks for a mystery in the first place. Cody and
- 1:59:56Speaker 1: Randy one on one was enough on its own. Unneces
- 2:00:00Speaker 1: necessarily added this random mystery, hyped it up, and then
- 2:00:07Speaker 1: shit the bed on the payoff idiots, all of them.
- 2:00:13Speaker 1: It makes me wonder if this came from Ari and
- 2:00:17Speaker 1: this was something that he wanted to do. If we
- 2:00:21Speaker 1: didn't get Cody and Randy, if we were gonna get Cody,
- 2:00:26Speaker 1: Drew Jacob, maybe if you threw Randy and they were
- 2:00:31Speaker 1: made it a fatal four way, like whatever the alternative
- 2:00:34Speaker 1: main event would have been on SmackDown, would they have
- 2:00:37Speaker 1: done the same angle? How would McAfee have been worked
- 2:00:41Speaker 1: into that? I guess he still could have been with
- 2:00:44Speaker 1: Randy in a four way, but I don't know, Like
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: he doesn't fit into any of these scenarios. It is
- 2:00:51Speaker 1: so it is so tacked on and shoehorned in there.
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: It's just it's just laughable. The whole thing is laughable.
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: They're trying so hard to be cool and it's having
- 2:01:05Speaker 1: the opposite effect. Leo, I have officially given up on
- 2:01:11Speaker 1: Keana making Mania this year, but hey, there's always next year.
- 2:01:14Speaker 1: She was never making Mania this year. I could have
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: told if you would have asked the question six weeks ago,
- 2:01:20Speaker 1: I could have given you an answer. Then. She was
- 2:01:22Speaker 1: never making Mania this year. She hasn't even been on
- 2:01:24Speaker 1: the main roster for a full year yet, he says, now,
- 2:01:31Speaker 1: after Mania, I want to see WWE let her go
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: on a singles run and build her up for next
- 2:01:36Speaker 1: year's Mania. EJ. Slim as Pat McAfee's biggest longtime hater.
- 2:01:45Speaker 1: Welcome to the bandwagon. I won't be watching WrestleMania now. Also,
- 2:01:49Speaker 1: Illinois is in the final four, so I am okay, Well,
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: congrats on that. I didn't check to see if the
- 2:01:58Speaker 1: Mets won or lost, but the way things were trending
- 2:02:01Speaker 1: for tonight, it wasn't looking good. Hopefully they won. Philip Bowman,
- 2:02:07Speaker 1: I'd personally watch a forty five minute iron Man match
- 2:02:10Speaker 1: for ten weeks straight over Pat McAfee any day, fair enough.
- 2:02:16Speaker 1: Depends who's in the iron Man match, though, the working man.
- 2:02:22Speaker 1: But I'll tell you what the working man has been
- 2:02:25Speaker 1: working overtime tonight, you'd better get a bonus from his boss.
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: WWE will never care about actual wrestling fans. They catered
- 2:02:40Speaker 1: to the normy Marx who think this shit is actually
- 2:02:43Speaker 1: good personally, glad I have an archive of eighties, nineties,
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: and two thousands wrestling to fall back on. The Vault.
- 2:02:50Speaker 1: Brother the Vault. It's the best thing WWE has created
- 2:02:54Speaker 1: since the Network. The Mets won ten to three. Okay,
- 2:03:02Speaker 1: good now, we just got to hope that Soto is
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: gonna be okay. The Mets won. See, we got some
- 2:03:07Speaker 1: good news tonight. We got some good news tonight. That side, also,
- 2:03:13Speaker 1: I take it Bob Holly wasn't available to be the
- 2:03:15Speaker 1: mystery callers since he also had history with Cody. They
- 2:03:21Speaker 1: were tag team champions, weren't they. What is the reason
- 2:03:32Speaker 1: for it being McAfee. Is it just to get Orton booed?
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: Maybe they thought if it was Owens, nobody would boo
- 2:03:38Speaker 1: him and Orton together. Thank you, super Pony. I think
- 2:03:44Speaker 1: we've talked about that. As far as why it was McAfee,
- 2:03:47Speaker 1: it sounds like it was a TKO decision and part
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: of it. Yes, they're trying to use this as a
- 2:03:52Speaker 1: way to get Randy Orton booed, and he may get
- 2:03:56Speaker 1: some very limited booze, but it's it's not gonna work.
- 2:03:59Speaker 1: It's not gonna work the way that they think it's
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: gonna work. The working Man WWE didn't like Cross, let
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: him go and in return we get I Show Speed,
- 2:04:13Speaker 1: Dan Housen and Pat McAfee. I hope he never comes back.
- 2:04:18Speaker 1: He is better off now. Yeah, I mean Cross is
- 2:04:22Speaker 1: doing good stuff right now in the independent scene won
- 2:04:25Speaker 1: some championships. Prince Vegeta with a nine ninety nine. They
- 2:04:33Speaker 1: should have kept the WWE title match a four way
- 2:04:36Speaker 1: in my opinion, more chaos and unpredictable. Plus, if he's
- 2:04:40Speaker 1: in the ring with three other individuals, Cody would not
- 2:04:42Speaker 1: get booed as much. I wouldn't be so sure about that.
- 2:04:47Speaker 1: I think you'd have a lot of people cheering for
- 2:04:50Speaker 1: Jacob and Randy because they're they're sick of Cody. It
- 2:04:55Speaker 1: may not have been as bad, but they would still
- 2:04:57Speaker 1: be fans booing Cody who would not want to see
- 2:05:00Speaker 1: him leave that fatal four away with that title. People
- 2:05:02Speaker 1: want to see Randy Orton win fifteen. They want to
- 2:05:05Speaker 1: be a part of history. You know, It's it's been
- 2:05:08Speaker 1: a while since Orton's held the championship. I think people
- 2:05:11Speaker 1: are ready for it. They like that story. They like Orton.
- 2:05:15Speaker 1: He's the elder statesman. Now that John Seen is gone.
- 2:05:18Speaker 1: There's very little that they're going to be able to
- 2:05:19Speaker 1: do to turn the tide against him. Pat McAfee alone
- 2:05:23Speaker 1: is not going to be enough. They may boot Pat McAfee.
- 2:05:25Speaker 1: That doesn't mean they're going to boo Randy Orton. The
- 2:05:31Speaker 1: working Man, Solid Monster and Stevie Richards the two best
- 2:05:35Speaker 1: wrestling podcasts. Slash shows way more entertaining than WWE's product.
- 2:05:42Speaker 1: I try. Somebody has to be I appreciate that though EJ. Slimp,
- 2:05:50Speaker 1: this is worse than jay Leno, I mean w CW well,
- 2:05:57Speaker 1: I mean at least that jay Leno wasn't involved in
- 2:05:59Speaker 1: the main event of their biggest show of the year,
- 2:06:03Speaker 1: Prince Begeta. Sammy's Ain is kind of insufferable. I could
- 2:06:07Speaker 1: tell you right now that I don't care at all
- 2:06:09Speaker 1: about him becoming a world champion next year. If he
- 2:06:12Speaker 1: is the choice to win the Rumble, well, he is
- 2:06:15Speaker 1: kind of insufferable. The character has been and a lot
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: can happen in a year. I'm kind of in the
- 2:06:21Speaker 1: same boat with you, but they could change my mind
- 2:06:26Speaker 1: depending on how the story goes. The working Man Hollywood
- 2:06:33Speaker 1: Hogan selling a hold from Jay Leno at WCW Roadewild
- 2:06:36Speaker 1: ninety eight was better than this slot. Did the wcwutube
- 2:06:41Speaker 1: page just post that match or something. That's the second
- 2:06:44Speaker 1: time it's been mentioned here. Hydro grad that Trick Williams
- 2:06:49Speaker 1: and Sammy's Ain segment. It got rid of Travis Scott
- 2:06:53Speaker 1: for Travis not Philip Bowman death and Cody trashing Disco
- 2:07:02Speaker 1: Inferno then now and forever. Jake Readings from the UK
- 2:07:09Speaker 1: not sure what's more embarrassing Pat being the one on
- 2:07:12Speaker 1: the phone, or people defending this bs on X, I
- 2:07:15Speaker 1: hope you're doing well. There will always be defenders. There
- 2:07:21Speaker 1: will always be defenders for bad TV. I will say this.
- 2:07:25Speaker 1: I will say this, if the idea is that this
- 2:07:29Speaker 1: is going to lead to Randy Orton recruiting a couple
- 2:07:33Speaker 1: of new talents from NXT, and whether it's a Ricky
- 2:07:38Speaker 1: Saints or an Ethan Page or whoever you know deaf.
- 2:07:42Speaker 1: Randy Orton of course is the NXT North American champion
- 2:07:45Speaker 1: right now. But if the idea is to get some
- 2:07:47Speaker 1: NXT people aligned with Orton, almost like a new legacy
- 2:07:50Speaker 1: type of group, I don't hate that idea. I still
- 2:07:54Speaker 1: just don't think Pat mcafhee needs to be a conduit
- 2:07:56Speaker 1: to that. You know, he's not Paul, he's not don Kallis,
- 2:08:02Speaker 1: so I wouldn't have an issue with Randy Orton having
- 2:08:04Speaker 1: his own little group. But it doesn't change the fact
- 2:08:07Speaker 1: that this McAfee shit being shoehorned into this WrestleMania angle
- 2:08:11Speaker 1: is just garbage. Doesn't change that the Meal Slayer. I
- 2:08:20Speaker 1: usually don't like when the fans shout from the rooftops
- 2:08:23Speaker 1: about how they're flipping to the other channel. But WWE's
- 2:08:26Speaker 1: product has been so damn dry. Yes, I don't disagree.
- 2:08:35Speaker 1: The Working Man Alex writes Berlin gimmick was better than
- 2:08:38Speaker 1: this the last Quincy. In my opinion, almost anyone people
- 2:08:47Speaker 1: were theorizing about being on the phone what Randy would
- 2:08:50Speaker 1: have been a lot better than Pat being the guy.
- 2:08:52Speaker 1: Even seen as heel Turn was better at its worst.
- 2:08:58Speaker 1: I don't know about better at its worst the actual
- 2:09:00Speaker 1: He'll Turn at Elimination Chamber, for sure, it was fifteen
- 2:09:06Speaker 1: times better. You know, a part of it also, I
- 2:09:11Speaker 1: feel like it just felt like a cheap retread of
- 2:09:13Speaker 1: that you know again, Cody getting kicked in the crotch
- 2:09:16Speaker 1: and all that. They were trying to go for the
- 2:09:21Speaker 1: cool factor, and it just it doesn't work. It doesn't
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: come off as cool, It comes off as desperate. It
- 2:09:27Speaker 1: comes off as desperation. Heading into WrestleMania, The Working Men says,
- 2:09:36Speaker 1: I can't wait to see fans melt down even more
- 2:09:39Speaker 1: when I show Speed beats La Knight. You know they
- 2:09:43Speaker 1: want to finally kill him off for good. I like
- 2:09:47Speaker 1: the angle that they did at his house. Say Speed
- 2:09:53Speaker 1: won me over with that one, But yes, he should
- 2:09:56Speaker 1: not be beating La Knight, the meal Slayer. Let's be
- 2:10:02Speaker 1: the booker twice. We will momentarily here we are doing
- 2:10:05Speaker 1: two rounds. The working Man says Mania is in Saudi
- 2:10:08Speaker 1: Arabia next year. If we think it won't get get
- 2:10:10Speaker 1: worse next year, lol. I can only imagine the names
- 2:10:18Speaker 1: they're gonna want in the main event next year. Pat
- 2:10:23Speaker 1: McAfee better not be one of them. Hbkac eighty three.
- 2:10:25Speaker 1: If there's a liquor in that mug, I would not
- 2:10:27Speaker 1: blame you. I wish there was liquor in this mug tonight, tonight,
- 2:10:30Speaker 1: I have all the nights I should have had liquor
- 2:10:32Speaker 1: in the mug, but I don't. San Juan Wolf, the
- 2:10:36Speaker 1: nineteen ninety nine just got off work and miss SmackDown.
- 2:10:39Speaker 1: Was it really that bad? Yes? It was. To answer
- 2:10:42Speaker 1: your question, the answer is yes. Also much love from Florida.
- 2:10:46Speaker 1: Keep up the great work. Thank you, San jan Wolf.
- 2:10:49Speaker 1: The answer is yes, it was terrible. Don't waste your time.
- 2:10:56Speaker 1: Just the poet, Christ loves you and died for our wrongdoings. Amen,
- 2:11:04Speaker 1: Thank you, just the poet, Thank you the two bucks
- 2:11:07Speaker 1: appreciate it. Super Pony Summers. I assume that means summer Slim,
- 2:11:13Speaker 1: Summer Slim twenty twenty two to wrestle Many of forty
- 2:11:16Speaker 1: will not be forgot what happened reality set in. I
- 2:11:23Speaker 1: don't know what happened, but the fall off will have
- 2:11:25Speaker 1: to be studied. Toya Ate and Nice hit the reset
- 2:11:29Speaker 1: button on SmackDown, please, I said, blow it up, blow
- 2:11:34Speaker 1: it up, clean them out, start all over again. The
- 2:11:38Speaker 1: rot is from the inside. Remember when we heard at
- 2:11:44Speaker 1: the beginning of the year that they were doing a
- 2:11:46Speaker 1: little bit of a minor shakeup. They recognized that there
- 2:11:48Speaker 1: were issues with SmackDown and they were going to be
- 2:11:51Speaker 1: making some changes to improve the show. Remember that. Remember
- 2:11:54Speaker 1: those reports was that three months ago? Actually four months,
- 2:11:57Speaker 1: four months ago? Whatever happened to that? Kung Fu Joseph,
- 2:12:06Speaker 1: You're right about attitude era fans never coming back. Me
- 2:12:08Speaker 1: and my brother both became fans in ninety nine. I
- 2:12:11Speaker 1: was nine and he was eight. By two thousand and one,
- 2:12:14Speaker 1: he was done and never came back to it. And
- 2:12:16Speaker 1: for me, I'm still here watching Tko ruin WrestleMania. Yeah,
- 2:12:25Speaker 1: I mean, you don't hear about it as much like
- 2:12:26Speaker 1: trying to claw back the lapsed fans from the Attitude
- 2:12:30Speaker 1: air because WWE tried that for many years, but at
- 2:12:33Speaker 1: this point it's just laughable. It's twenty twenty six. Like
- 2:12:37Speaker 1: those people, if they haven't come back by now, they
- 2:12:39Speaker 1: ain't coming back. They're gone, They're done. You just got
- 2:12:45Speaker 1: to try to create new fans. And the new fans
- 2:12:48Speaker 1: have no concept of the Attitude era, and I think
- 2:12:50Speaker 1: if you gave them a concept of the Attitude era,
- 2:12:54Speaker 1: they would want that over this. And I don't know
- 2:12:57Speaker 1: why they would want to do that. Why would WA
- 2:13:00Speaker 1: We want to do that when you know that you're
- 2:13:02Speaker 1: not going back to that. Nick Grosso, just to follow
- 2:13:11Speaker 1: up on EO Sky, I didn't see how bad she
- 2:13:13Speaker 1: landed on that dive until I saw another clip of
- 2:13:15Speaker 1: it on social media, and my god, how does she
- 2:13:17Speaker 1: not break her neck? I'm just glad she's okay. Do
- 2:13:20Speaker 1: you think Danny Luna goes to AW or WWE? I
- 2:13:26Speaker 1: don't know. If she, you know, kind of grew up
- 2:13:30Speaker 1: a WWE fan and has a dream of going there,
- 2:13:35Speaker 1: I believe. I mean, I'm just my opinion here. I
- 2:13:39Speaker 1: think she ends up in AW but if she has
- 2:13:45Speaker 1: a long term goal of ending up in WWE, she
- 2:13:48Speaker 1: may decide to go there. I'm going to say, aw, though, Hank,
- 2:13:58Speaker 1: who would you have booked the reveal to be Kevin Owens.
- 2:14:02Speaker 1: I'm not saying that would have helped their booing Cody problem,
- 2:14:06Speaker 1: but Kevin Owens would have been the sensible reveal, and again,
- 2:14:14Speaker 1: the Rock would have made sense. But I don't want
- 2:14:18Speaker 1: to hear about Rock because Rock is not going to
- 2:14:20Speaker 1: be able to commit, so I just don't care. Final
- 2:14:26Speaker 1: Boss character was great, but at this point, I just
- 2:14:29Speaker 1: don't care. But like story wise, he would have made sense,
- 2:14:33Speaker 1: and Owens would have made sense, but I wouldn't have
- 2:14:39Speaker 1: done the angle to begin with. If we're being honest,
- 2:14:42Speaker 1: there wouldn't have been a mystery phone caller, so I
- 2:14:45Speaker 1: wouldn't have even done it. Jeremy says, do you think
- 2:14:48Speaker 1: the highlight of McAfee's segment gets more dislikes than Rock
- 2:14:52Speaker 1: did when WWE had to pivot their Wrestlemantia plans years ago?
- 2:14:56Speaker 1: That's a good qual You mean the segment with Cody
- 2:15:00Speaker 1: willingly giving up his WrestleMania title match to The Rock. No,
- 2:15:05Speaker 1: I feel like that will end up getting more dislikes.
- 2:15:11Speaker 1: Super Pony they said road Dog was the problem loll
- 2:15:16Speaker 1: he was a problem. He was not the problem. We
- 2:15:21Speaker 1: the ones with the ten. Listen to the Drew McIntyre
- 2:15:23Speaker 1: interview with Chris van Vliet and he said during his
- 2:15:25Speaker 1: feud with Brock that he got the best of him
- 2:15:28Speaker 1: every week and one at Mania. So there is hope
- 2:15:32Speaker 1: that Oba does the same. Eh, there's hope, But I
- 2:15:38Speaker 1: still think it's I still feel like it's very unlikely.
- 2:15:47Speaker 1: It's a good interview. By the way, anybody who hasn't
- 2:15:49Speaker 1: watched it. The final Boss, speaking of which, look at this,
- 2:15:52Speaker 1: say his name and he appears he's like Joe Hendry,
- 2:15:55Speaker 1: Triple H feels on his last legs. Rock is watching
- 2:15:59Speaker 1: on definitely watching from the sidelines. I've always believed that
- 2:16:04Speaker 1: there is a plan between Rock and Brian Gowertz that
- 2:16:10Speaker 1: when the time is right, they have positioned themselves where
- 2:16:14Speaker 1: if the axe ever falls on Levec, like Levec and Bruce,
- 2:16:19Speaker 1: even to the extent that Rock could be involved in
- 2:16:24Speaker 1: the process. I don't see Rock sitting in the chair
- 2:16:28Speaker 1: every week at Gorilla like Triple H does, but Rock
- 2:16:32Speaker 1: and Gorts will move into that spot like their influence
- 2:16:37Speaker 1: will will increase and they will effectively be running things.
- 2:16:42Speaker 1: I do believe that Doctor Scorpio says, to quote Alan Iverson,
- 2:16:50Speaker 1: We're not talking about wrestling. We're not talking about Mania.
- 2:16:53Speaker 1: We're talking about Pat McAfee. How silly is that man?
- 2:16:57Speaker 1: Not wrestling, We're talking about celebrities like Paton McAfee. Dude,
- 2:17:01Speaker 1: it's celebrity media every week. They should just start their
- 2:17:06Speaker 1: own little side promotion like NXT weill with nothing but celebrities,
- 2:17:11Speaker 1: you know, and people who want to get in the
- 2:17:15Speaker 1: ring and you know, pretend to be wrestler for a match.
- 2:17:21Speaker 1: Then they can go back to their social media channel
- 2:17:23Speaker 1: or their Twitch or whatever, and they can vlog about
- 2:17:25Speaker 1: it and they can tweet about it. WWE would love
- 2:17:29Speaker 1: that the Meil Slayer. At this point, I'm dialing back
- 2:17:35Speaker 1: my WWE intake until Kevin Owens returns. Unfortunately, it takes
- 2:17:39Speaker 1: more than one guy for the product itself to improve.
- 2:17:43Speaker 1: It does, and it really starts from the top and
- 2:17:46Speaker 1: the vision of whoever that person is. There's nothing, like,
- 2:17:54Speaker 1: there's no creativity, there's nothing. I mean, there's the same
- 2:18:00Speaker 1: shit over and over again. I feel like that's one
- 2:18:03Speaker 1: of the reasons I really took to Lucha Underground many
- 2:18:06Speaker 1: years ago. I mean, you guys know if you listen
- 2:18:08Speaker 1: to the sound off for any number of years. I
- 2:18:10Speaker 1: was reviewing every episode of all four or five seasons
- 2:18:14Speaker 1: whatever it was, every week, and I loved it. Like
- 2:18:19Speaker 1: it was just it was different. You know. You had
- 2:18:23Speaker 1: the cinematic stuff in between the way it was filmed
- 2:18:26Speaker 1: and the characters. Then you had these kick ass matches,
- 2:18:34Speaker 1: but it was a different concept. It was a different
- 2:18:37Speaker 1: concept that worked, and nobody is being different. It's all
- 2:18:44Speaker 1: the same shit. Mystic Jay, with everything that they've been
- 2:18:52Speaker 1: doing as of late tonight, actually has me looking more
- 2:18:55Speaker 1: forward to Stand and Deliver than Mania. I feel like
- 2:19:01Speaker 1: these nxtpls are usually pretty good, so you're probably not
- 2:19:06Speaker 1: alone in feeling that way. Devin from NJ will Jade
- 2:19:11Speaker 1: retain at Mania to establish her new heel faction? I
- 2:19:15Speaker 1: think it's less about the faction and more just about
- 2:19:17Speaker 1: they're not ready to take the belt off of Jade.
- 2:19:20Speaker 1: Do I think she's going to retain at Mania? Yes?
- 2:19:22Speaker 1: I do. I'm also not sure they want to keep
- 2:19:29Speaker 1: Riha on SmackDown, so if she loses, she may well
- 2:19:34Speaker 1: go back to Raw Super Pony. I know this has
- 2:19:39Speaker 1: nothing to do with any of it, but it is
- 2:19:40Speaker 1: funny how as soon as Owens went away for his
- 2:19:43Speaker 1: neck surgery, the product went downhill and draws a straight
- 2:19:48Speaker 1: line from one to the other. He is missed on
- 2:19:52Speaker 1: this show. He is definitely missed. Hank I discovered Billy
- 2:19:56Speaker 1: Jack Haynes because of you. Is there a more tragic downfall?
- 2:20:00Speaker 1: The story of it? The forty five minute shootout is wild. Oh,
- 2:20:07Speaker 1: there have been tons of tragic stories in wrestling and
- 2:20:10Speaker 1: downfall to look at the fucking von Eric family. Billy
- 2:20:15Speaker 1: Jack is not even close to being the most tragic
- 2:20:19Speaker 1: downfall in wrestling. Larry Jester, what do you see Elton
- 2:20:29Speaker 1: Prince doing upon his return? My sense is that Elton
- 2:20:32Speaker 1: Prince is if he's able to come back, is not
- 2:20:36Speaker 1: going to be back for a very long time, So
- 2:20:39Speaker 1: it is impossible to say whether he will get a
- 2:20:41Speaker 1: singles push. I think that the idea would be to
- 2:20:44Speaker 1: put pretty Deadly back together, unless Kit Wilson is just
- 2:20:47Speaker 1: so super over and catches fire as a singles in
- 2:20:50Speaker 1: a way that he hasn't yet that they don't want
- 2:20:53Speaker 1: to do that, I would think we get a pretty
- 2:20:57Speaker 1: deadly reunion. It's what I think we have. The Meal
- 2:21:04Speaker 1: Slayer on a more positive note. It's so cool to
- 2:21:07Speaker 1: see Dan House and win over the WWE audience, especially
- 2:21:10Speaker 1: when you consider how hard it can be to please us.
- 2:21:15Speaker 1: I always felt like he was a much better fit
- 2:21:17Speaker 1: for WWE than he was for AW Like, I never
- 2:21:22Speaker 1: felt like he would fail. Like he just seems like
- 2:21:27Speaker 1: the kind of person even if Vince was still in charge.
- 2:21:29Speaker 1: He feels like the kind of goofy comedy character that
- 2:21:32Speaker 1: he would love. I feel like if Vince were still
- 2:21:37Speaker 1: in charge, we would have even more Dan Howe, Like
- 2:21:39Speaker 1: he'd have Dan House in a like seven or eight
- 2:21:41Speaker 1: different segments on the show doing just the stupidest shit.
- 2:21:45Speaker 1: But he just fits into that sports entertainment, you know,
- 2:21:51Speaker 1: genre that WWE has sort of cornered. But it's good
- 2:21:58Speaker 1: to see him finding success. Jimmy Fingers says how much
- 2:22:01Speaker 1: wrestling knowledge could have had dropping on Randy to give
- 2:22:05Speaker 1: him the edge to beat Cody or do you think
- 2:22:07Speaker 1: it was punting advice? This is so bad that I
- 2:22:10Speaker 1: am just going to think it is a swerve. I
- 2:22:17Speaker 1: don't believe it's a swerve. I'm sorry to say the
- 2:22:25Speaker 1: Meil Slayer. I'll never forgive WWE for axing the network.
- 2:22:29Speaker 1: It was so convenient and easy to use. Yeah, the
- 2:22:31Speaker 1: network actually just shut down for good this past week.
- 2:22:35Speaker 1: It was still available in certain countries and now it
- 2:22:37Speaker 1: is officially dead. Rest in peace, WWE Network, You will
- 2:22:45Speaker 1: be missed. Ohm too cool. At this point, I would
- 2:22:50Speaker 1: much rather stick to the Vault channels. I am done
- 2:22:53Speaker 1: with modern wrestling. Cameron Spencer, be honest with me. How
- 2:22:58Speaker 1: long do I have to wade for my boy Omas
- 2:23:01Speaker 1: to be a world champion? Well put it this way, Cameron,
- 2:23:09Speaker 1: you will be dead before Omas is a world champion
- 2:23:12Speaker 1: in WWE. You will not be among the living anymore.
- 2:23:18Speaker 1: None of us will. We will all be long gone.
- 2:23:24Speaker 1: Omas probably will be too, I'm sorry to say. Kung
- 2:23:28Speaker 1: Fu Joseph, My Mariners won tonight. Haven't felt this pump
- 2:23:31Speaker 1: for a season since I was a kid. Well, congrats,
- 2:23:37Speaker 1: Larry Jester. Do you think they would give Jelly Roll
- 2:23:40Speaker 1: a mid or tag team title? No? Why would you
- 2:23:51Speaker 1: bring that up? No titles for the celebrities, Jeremy Rose.
- 2:24:02Speaker 1: If Rock is in charge, who's sitting with the headsets
- 2:24:05Speaker 1: on in Gorilla? Rikishi, Brian Gowartz? And then he would
- 2:24:11Speaker 1: bring in his own team, his own people, The Meal Slayer.
- 2:24:19Speaker 1: Were you ever a fan of the Resident Evil games.
- 2:24:22Speaker 1: If so, what's your favorite? Mine is the original Ari
- 2:24:25Speaker 1: four from two thousand and five. I was a fan
- 2:24:29Speaker 1: of the original game, and I played the second game
- 2:24:33Speaker 1: until the dog Doberman whatever the hell it was, came
- 2:24:40Speaker 1: through the window and I said, peace out. I'm done. Well,
- 2:24:46Speaker 1: first I shrieked like a girl, and then I said
- 2:24:48Speaker 1: I'm done. And that was Resident Evil too, and I
- 2:24:52Speaker 1: never went back. I haven't seen any of the movies,
- 2:24:56Speaker 1: either believe it or not. I feel like I would
- 2:24:58Speaker 1: love those movies. I don't know why I've never seen one,
- 2:25:03Speaker 1: and Arabia nine two thousand, Mellow Ilia, Julia, and even
- 2:25:07Speaker 1: Black being left off WrestleMania is a slap in the
- 2:25:10Speaker 1: face to the young core. Triple H doesn't deserve talent
- 2:25:13Speaker 1: with a strong work rate. Fuck Triple H. Well tell
- 2:25:20Speaker 1: us how you really feel. You gotta be honest with
- 2:25:24Speaker 1: your feelings. Here a JB five with a pair of
- 2:25:31Speaker 1: super chats, thank you, no message and Lexus Nexus. Oh man.
- 2:25:37Speaker 1: I used to use that all the time when I
- 2:25:38Speaker 1: was working in public relations. We had a subscription to
- 2:25:41Speaker 1: it and everything. Lexus Nexus. You can look up old
- 2:25:44Speaker 1: newspaper and magazine articles going back decades, TKO expect yearly increases,
- 2:25:56Speaker 1: not annual decline. Would it be fair to assume that
- 2:25:59Speaker 1: meetings are being held about the efficiency of Triple H
- 2:26:02Speaker 1: in that role? Well, I mean perhaps, but let's not
- 2:26:08Speaker 1: leave out Nick Con. You know, he's the president of
- 2:26:11Speaker 1: the company. So can you put all of that on
- 2:26:14Speaker 1: Triple H or should those conversations be held about Nick
- 2:26:17Speaker 1: Con as well? Although Nick Con has a track record
- 2:26:22Speaker 1: of helping this company make a hell of a lot
- 2:26:24Speaker 1: more money than Triple H as I mean, just the
- 2:26:28Speaker 1: media rights money alone, that Nick Con was responsible for
- 2:26:32Speaker 1: helping bring in, I think it's a lot more likely
- 2:26:36Speaker 1: Triple H would be gone before Nick Con would be
- 2:26:39Speaker 1: I think that's why Vince hired Nick Conn in the
- 2:26:41Speaker 1: first place. I think he was instrumental in their media
- 2:26:46Speaker 1: rights deals in twenty nineteen, twenty twenty, and I think
- 2:26:50Speaker 1: Vince was so impressed he said, why don't you come
- 2:26:53Speaker 1: work for me? And that's how he got the job.
- 2:26:56Speaker 1: And to see his ascent over the last five or
- 2:26:58Speaker 1: six years is it's pretty incredible. JB five says CINDI
- 2:27:05Speaker 1: lauper face palming so hard. You talk about people who
- 2:27:10Speaker 1: should be in the Hall of Fame. How the hell
- 2:27:15Speaker 1: is she not in the Hall of Fame And she's
- 2:27:16Speaker 1: already admitted in the past she was never invited, so
- 2:27:20Speaker 1: and he kind of rumors about her saying no or
- 2:27:22Speaker 1: declining her all bullshit. She's doing a residency in Las
- 2:27:28Speaker 1: Vegas this year. Her residency in Vegas starts the week
- 2:27:31Speaker 1: after WrestleMania. Like, of all the years, you put Dennis
- 2:27:37Speaker 1: Rodman in this year instead of Cindy Lauper. Could do
- 2:27:40Speaker 1: Dennis Rodman in the next year two years from now.
- 2:27:43Speaker 1: You could do Dennis Rodman when WrestleMania eventually goes to
- 2:27:46Speaker 1: North Korea. This year should have been Cindy Lauper. Could
- 2:27:53Speaker 1: have Kim John Gunn do the induction for Dennis Rodman.
- 2:27:55Speaker 1: They're like best buds and my face for it tactical
- 2:28:02Speaker 1: butt cheek with the nine to ninety nine. It took
- 2:28:07Speaker 1: me a few months, but I finally saved enough to
- 2:28:10Speaker 1: send this super chat. How are you, Sola Monster? See
- 2:28:13Speaker 1: you in another few months when I save enough for
- 2:28:16Speaker 1: another super chat. Sola Monster is the goat. I haven't
- 2:28:20Speaker 1: heard from you in a while. I was hoping everything
- 2:28:22Speaker 1: was okay, but I appreciate the support I'm doing. Okay,
- 2:28:25Speaker 1: I've had better nights when it comes to these television shows.
- 2:28:28Speaker 1: This one was god awful tonight. But then I get
- 2:28:31Speaker 1: to spend time with all of you and we get
- 2:28:33Speaker 1: to entertain each other, so it's all good. We get
- 2:28:37Speaker 1: to entertain each other. With the well over twenty two
- 2:28:41Speaker 1: to twenty three hundred we had earlier, we still have
- 2:28:44Speaker 1: two thousand here and two fifteen in the morning with
- 2:28:47Speaker 1: two thousand of you, we all get to commiserate together.
- 2:28:52Speaker 1: But you guys also got two rounds of be the
- 2:28:55Speaker 1: booker because you killed it on the likes O seven
- 2:29:00Speaker 1: hundred was the goal. We are currently at nine twenty four.
- 2:29:05Speaker 1: We actually, we should be able to do a thousand
- 2:29:10Speaker 1: likes live before I end the live stream. We got
- 2:29:15Speaker 1: over two thousand in here still, so let's try to
- 2:29:18Speaker 1: hit a thousand likes. How about that. In the meantime,
- 2:29:22Speaker 1: while you guys work on that, let's be the booker.
- 2:29:25Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, it is now time to be the booker.
- 2:29:32Speaker 1: Let's work on this. We got two rounds to book
- 2:29:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna make a guarantee right now. Okay, you could
- 2:29:41Speaker 1: tell I'm a baby face, because I don't make guarantees
- 2:29:43Speaker 1: that I can't keep. I guarantee you I'm gonna book
- 2:29:46Speaker 1: between these two cards a better show for you than
- 2:29:50Speaker 1: wwe did tonight. I know it's a low bar. The
- 2:29:55Speaker 1: bar is in hell, but I make that vow to you.
- 2:29:59Speaker 1: We've already won. We've already won. We have Terry Gordy
- 2:30:07Speaker 1: and Doctor Death Steve Williams. For those of you who
- 2:30:10Speaker 1: don't know, maybe you're a little young, or you're a
- 2:30:11Speaker 1: newer fan. These two, while they had very established singles careers,
- 2:30:18Speaker 1: they were a tag team in Japan especially, but they
- 2:30:21Speaker 1: were a tag team called the Miracle Violence Connection. They
- 2:30:26Speaker 1: were a great tag team and they are one of
- 2:30:30Speaker 1: the new editions to be the bookers. So I'm glad
- 2:30:33Speaker 1: we landed on them. We need a celebrityund oh, you
- 2:30:37Speaker 1: know what, you know what, You're not wrong. I'm going
- 2:30:43Speaker 1: to write that down. I know I still have to
- 2:30:47Speaker 1: add the managers. I have so many ideas, I just
- 2:30:49Speaker 1: haven't had time to get to them all. Well, there's
- 2:30:52Speaker 1: a lot of new editions and rounds that are going
- 2:30:55Speaker 1: to be added to be the booker. I'm going to
- 2:30:57Speaker 1: take that under advice. Maybe if it's not a we
- 2:31:00Speaker 1: may have to add them to the actual be the
- 2:31:04Speaker 1: booker as far as celebrities that have appeared anyway, Miracle
- 2:31:09Speaker 1: Violence Connection, oh man, I was like, this has got
- 2:31:16Speaker 1: to be a guaranteed bell, and then we land on
- 2:31:19Speaker 1: the bushwack. But you know what, I'm gonna give it
- 2:31:24Speaker 1: the bell anyway because I feel like watching the Miracle
- 2:31:28Speaker 1: Violence Connection, do really mean horrible violent things to the
- 2:31:34Speaker 1: Bushwhackers would be fun? And if it was the Sheepherders,
- 2:31:38Speaker 1: so not the cartoony bushwhackers that Vince McMahon came up with.
- 2:31:42Speaker 1: I think actually the sheep Herders and the Miracle Violence Connection,
- 2:31:46Speaker 1: I mean, you talk about a violent match that's gonna
- 2:31:50Speaker 1: get violent and bloody. That would be a great match.
- 2:31:56Speaker 1: See if you only watched WWE, you never got to
- 2:31:58Speaker 1: see the Sheepherders. I didn't either, or until many years later,
- 2:32:02Speaker 1: So I had no idea that these guys would go
- 2:32:04Speaker 1: around in like blood baths and everything we have. Mommy
- 2:32:11Speaker 1: is mad. Pick a stipulation to make her happy. Man,
- 2:32:17Speaker 1: I was saving that for the second round, but I
- 2:32:19Speaker 1: guess we got to pick a stipulation right now, all right,
- 2:32:23Speaker 1: we need a stipulation for our women's match, It's going
- 2:32:25Speaker 1: to be a women's fight pit. Has there ever been
- 2:32:31Speaker 1: a women's fight pit? The answer is no, I cannot
- 2:32:34Speaker 1: recall there being a women's fight pit, but there's about
- 2:32:37Speaker 1: to be, and Tessa Blanchard is going to be one
- 2:32:44Speaker 1: of the participants inside the fight pit. Who is Tessa
- 2:32:49Speaker 1: going to be locked in the fight pit with? Find out?
- 2:32:57Speaker 1: This is exciting. Tessa Blanchard in the fight pit, locked
- 2:33:02Speaker 1: in with Carmela. I mean, this could have gone so
- 2:33:17Speaker 1: many different ways, but well we'll settle with Carmela. And
- 2:33:26Speaker 1: the main event for Night one of a buy one,
- 2:33:30Speaker 1: get one free extravaganza, Dude Love. Dude Love is in
- 2:33:40Speaker 1: our main event. Dude Love had a hell of a
- 2:33:43Speaker 1: pay per view made event with Stone Cold Steve Austin.
- 2:33:45Speaker 1: I'm just saying, Dude Love and Kota Ibushi. I'm giving
- 2:33:54Speaker 1: that the bell. This is this is prime Ibushi right here.
- 2:33:58Speaker 1: This is murder Ibushi. Now think about the things that
- 2:34:02Speaker 1: he Boushi dies, how crazy this guy is, and think
- 2:34:05Speaker 1: of how crazy Foley is. What would a Mick Foley,
- 2:34:08Speaker 1: Coda and Bushie match have looked like? Would they even survive?
- 2:34:14Speaker 1: I'm not sure somebody might die in that match. I'm
- 2:34:20Speaker 1: pretty sure at least one of them would die. But
- 2:34:24Speaker 1: now we get round two, and as you know, round
- 2:34:28Speaker 1: two we do stipulations for all the matches. So let
- 2:34:33Speaker 1: us find out what our stipulation. Our first stipulation is
- 2:34:36Speaker 1: going to be. It is going to be an eye
- 2:34:39Speaker 1: for an eye match. This is taking us back to
- 2:34:41Speaker 1: the covid era eye for an eye, an eye for
- 2:34:50Speaker 1: an eye tag team match. It's a little strange, but okay,
- 2:34:56Speaker 1: somebody's losing an eye shouting Benjamin in Charlie has the
- 2:35:02Speaker 1: world's greatest tag team on one side of the ring
- 2:35:06Speaker 1: and on the other with your drum rolls for all
- 2:35:09Speaker 1: three matches, top flight and the world's greatest tag team.
- 2:35:19Speaker 1: Eye or an eye, Darius Martin, he's going to be
- 2:35:26Speaker 1: wearing an eye patch. I've chosen you, Darius. You are
- 2:35:30Speaker 1: losing an eye. We'll get you fitted for a patch.
- 2:35:35Speaker 1: You'll be good to go. Our women's stipulation mimosa mayhem.
- 2:35:41Speaker 1: I'm sure there's some ladies on this list here that
- 2:35:44Speaker 1: like a good mimosa. Sure the Bella twins are in
- 2:35:48Speaker 1: here somewhere, So let's find out who the two women
- 2:35:53Speaker 1: will be in Mimosa Mayhem, Beyonce bel Air. She's all
- 2:36:01Speaker 1: healed up, the knuckle is healed. She's back. We got
- 2:36:05Speaker 1: her back in the ring, Mimosa Mayhem and Tiffany Stratton,
- 2:36:23Speaker 1: Bianca bel Air and Tiffany Stratton, Mimosa Mayhem. There it
- 2:36:28Speaker 1: is for the WWE Women's Championship. That's a big match.
- 2:36:35Speaker 1: That is a big match. The Mimosa Whip. Oh my god.
- 2:36:42Speaker 1: You know, for all the noise that the braid makes,
- 2:36:46Speaker 1: imagine if it was wet and then you took that
- 2:36:49Speaker 1: braid and you smack somebody right across the flesh with it.
- 2:36:53Speaker 1: Oh my god, that make it worse. All right, ladies
- 2:36:58Speaker 1: and gentlemen. In our main event to night, CM punk
- 2:37:03Speaker 1: is going to be the special referee, So this should
- 2:37:10Speaker 1: be very interesting. Now depending on who we land on.
- 2:37:12Speaker 1: CM Punk is going to be the referee and on
- 2:37:17Speaker 1: one side of the ring El Grande Americano. Hm, oh,
- 2:37:40Speaker 1: this is this is unfair. CM Punk is going to
- 2:37:44Speaker 1: be the special referee for a Kevin Nash match. O MG,
- 2:37:48Speaker 1: I thought you were dead L O L. I'm gonna
- 2:37:54Speaker 1: give it the bell because I think this would be
- 2:37:56Speaker 1: very entertaining Kevin and El Grande Americano with CM Punk
- 2:38:06Speaker 1: as the special guest referee. There's a history there. There's
- 2:38:11Speaker 1: a history there. They never did have their singles match.
- 2:38:18Speaker 1: I'm going with El Grande. I think El Grande is
- 2:38:20Speaker 1: gonna pull out the win here. That's what I think. Now. See,
- 2:38:27Speaker 1: I defy you to tell me that that wasn't more
- 2:38:31Speaker 1: entertaining than that shit show we had on USA Network tonight,
- 2:38:36Speaker 1: or for me anyway, as I was watching it on Netflix,
- 2:38:41Speaker 1: so I didn't have any of the commercials. I got
- 2:38:46Speaker 1: to see all that was going on during the commercial
- 2:38:48Speaker 1: breaks with my trust the Express VPN cheap Plug, Punk
- 2:38:56Speaker 1: and a fast count Nash in the match. Oh wait, no, no, no, no,
- 2:39:00Speaker 1: do we have Was it a sweep? Oh? It was
- 2:39:06Speaker 1: a sweep? There you go. I watched. I watched it.
- 2:39:20Speaker 1: I watched it suck. I do, I do? I watched
- 2:39:26Speaker 1: it happens to the best of us. You got your
- 2:39:29Speaker 1: clean sweep. Thank you guys for hanging out with me
- 2:39:33Speaker 1: here on a Friday nights. And we had well north
- 2:39:37Speaker 1: of two thousand in here tonight, so you could tell
- 2:39:40Speaker 1: people were very animated, very upset. People are usually very
- 2:39:45Speaker 1: happy or very angry when they all pile in at once,
- 2:39:51Speaker 1: maybe forty one eighty one, trying to get the last
- 2:39:54Speaker 1: word in here on the road to WrestleMania minus zero?
- 2:39:57Speaker 1: Any chance that will be the sign hanging on your wall.
- 2:40:01Speaker 1: You'll notice there's no sign this year. I usually have
- 2:40:04Speaker 1: the WrestleMania sign right there in the corner, and I
- 2:40:08Speaker 1: had I don't know, I had a sinking suspicion, a
- 2:40:12Speaker 1: sneaking is it's sinking. Yeah, it's a sinking ship this
- 2:40:15Speaker 1: fucking company, A sneaking suspicion about this WrestleMania not being
- 2:40:21Speaker 1: up to snuff. Maybe that's why I didn't put the
- 2:40:22Speaker 1: sign up this year. Yeah, WrestleMania minus zero. That sounds
- 2:40:28Speaker 1: about right. Oh my god, is that demean It is Demeter.
- 2:40:35Speaker 1: That is Demeter Bullion who just dropped a super chat.
- 2:40:42Speaker 1: Usually don't see Demeter Bullion around these parts, but there
- 2:40:45Speaker 1: he is. No message though, no wild message. Demeter Bullion.
- 2:40:53Speaker 1: Doggie shout out to him, and super Pony says, the
- 2:41:00Speaker 1: Strokes are the greatest band of all time. I'm not

- 2:42:29Speaker 1: I will be in Los Angeles on May first, but
- 2:42:33Speaker 1: I am not there now, so I cannot answer that question.
