- 0:29I Hate Talking: Welcome to episode 121 of I Hate Talking.
- 0:33I Hate Talking: Hi everyone.
- 0:34I Hate Talking: So I used a particular phrase last week and I know what it means, but I don't know like exact definition and nor the etymology, so I'm curious if we will learn anything new if we talk about definitions on end.
- 0:50I Hate Talking: Is that what we're talking about?
- 0:51I Hate Talking: Definitions on end?
- 0:53I Hate Talking: Well, on end.
- 0:54I Hate Talking: Oh, the definition of on end, right.
- 0:58I Hate Talking: OK, because clearly you have encountered that phrase before and you didn't really give it any second thought, I suppose.
- 1:06I Hate Talking: No, yeah, I feel like I could use it in a sentence.
- 1:08I Hate Talking: Yes, it seems like it has something to do with a quantity that is endless.
- 1:14I Hate Talking: That it goes on and on.
- 1:16I Hate Talking: OK, right.
- 1:17I Hate Talking: Well, you said, no, that's not what I'm thinking of, so use it in a sentence.
- 1:20I Hate Talking: How did you use it?
- 1:21I Hate Talking: We have been doing podcasting for years on end.
- 1:25I Hate Talking: Oh yeah.
- 1:26I Hate Talking: Yeah, it's just a long time.
- 1:28I Hate Talking: And no end in sight.
- 1:31I Hate Talking: I guess it's it's on end, so I don't know, it's a curious phrase -- until the -- end.
- 1:38I Hate Talking: Well, that's not what it says.
- 1:40I Hate Talking: It's just on end.
- 1:41I Hate Talking: It's not until the end.
- 1:43I Hate Talking: It's just, I just think it means a really long time till there's no end in sight is what my guess is.
- 1:50I Hate Talking: OK, I would have it to do with like a quantity.
- 1:54I Hate Talking: Like there are a set number of definitions that we have done.
- 1:58I Hate Talking: And its definitions on end or if there's a set time period that something has been occurring that is months on end or years on end that they just long time endlessly repeat, yes.
- 2:10I Hate Talking: OK, but you're talking about quantities, so like there is a set number you said.
- 2:15I Hate Talking: Mm, perhaps that was a poor phrasing.
- 2:17I Hate Talking: I wouldn't say a set number, but a, like a group of numbers, a quantity, like an indeterminate number, right?
- 2:26I Hate Talking: Yes, not a set number.
- 2:28I Hate Talking: It's not like you have to have 14 years for it to qualify on end and 13 does not.
- 2:33I Hate Talking: Do you know who Lammy is?
- 2:35I Hate Talking: Lammy, the lamb that did a little recording of the prayer.
- 2:40I Hate Talking: No, that was cute.
- 2:42I Hate Talking: One of our babies had that.
- 2:43I Hate Talking: Lamb chop.
- 2:44I Hate Talking: Yeah, oh, that's his name, lamb chop.
- 2:47I Hate Talking: -- I do know -- lamb chop.
- 2:49I Hate Talking: I do know lamb chop with a song that never ends.
- 2:52I Hate Talking: Yeah, so they sell the puppets at Walmart now.
- 2:55I Hate Talking: And my kids saw them and they're playing with them.
- 2:59I Hate Talking: And I was like, do you know what that I called it Lammy though.
- 3:02I Hate Talking: But I was like, do you know what that is?
- 3:03I Hate Talking: They're like, no.
- 3:04I Hate Talking: So I sang the song and they were so annoyed.
- 3:07I Hate Talking: They were like, do not do that ever again.
- 3:11I Hate Talking: That's what makes me think of it goes on and on, my friend.
- 3:14I Hate Talking: Yes, isn't there a Mandela effect about that song?
- 3:18I Hate Talking: I don't know.
- 3:20I Hate Talking: I thought his name was Lammy, so I'm not the expert, obviously.
- 3:24I Hate Talking: Yeah, I think there's a Mandela effect about that song where like people sing the wrong word.
- 3:30I Hate Talking: Well, we can't sing it because we'll get copyrighted.
- 3:33I Hate Talking: Really, it's still within copyright?
- 3:35I Hate Talking: I assume so.
- 3:37I Hate Talking: Lamb chops, copyright will go on for years on end.
- 3:41I Hate Talking: So, according to dictionary, Cause I guess on end is more of a phrase and not necessarily a word.
- 3:51I Hate Talking: And It is defined as either Upright So if you play something on end, it is standing upright.
- 4:03I Hate Talking: Oh, OK, I'm following now.
- 4:05I Hate Talking: I was confused at first, but yes, an upright piano.
- 4:08I Hate Talking: No, wait, and on end is the word.
- 4:11I Hate Talking: On end, yes, put it on, put on, put it on inside.
- 4:15I Hate Talking: Right, or the block was stacked on end.
- 4:18I Hate Talking: OK.
- 4:19I Hate Talking: Um, that's probably not as common.
- 4:22I Hate Talking: Yeah, -- I'm -- not confident in those.
- 4:23I Hate Talking: Go on.
- 4:24I Hate Talking: And then remarkably long, continuously.
- 4:29I Hate Talking: OK.
- 4:30I Hate Talking: So, not only long, but remarkably long.
- 4:33I Hate Talking: The Cambridge Dictionary also has a definition for this particular phrase, and it simply states continuously.
- 4:42I Hate Talking: Mm.
- 4:42I Hate Talking: So there you go.
- 4:44I Hate Talking: Let's see where the etymology came from, OK, cause it may be something like you said where it is like a shortened phrase, but I'm not sure.
- 4:54I Hate Talking: Do you have any guesses then?
- 4:55I Hate Talking: No, I don't.
- 4:57I Hate Talking: I really don't.
- 4:58I Hate Talking: This is why I find this phrase a bit curious and why I thought it might be a good one to discuss.
- 5:04I Hate Talking: All right, let's do it.
- 5:06I Hate Talking: Do you have any guesses?
- 5:08I Hate Talking: I, yeah, like until the end, the end.
- 5:11I Hate Talking: I think it's just like a shortened phrase of until the end, I think so.
- 5:14I Hate Talking: So, I don't know, uh, we have not researched this previously, so we'll see what we can find.
- 5:21I Hate Talking: There does not really seem to be any.
- 5:24I Hate Talking: Documented etymology on this.
- 5:29I Hate Talking: So there are some theories.
- 5:31I Hate Talking: And according to English Stock Exchange post by just some user, they said that on end means without a break, so that would align with our continuous definition.
- 5:44I Hate Talking: Which has been slightly altered over time so that days on end now often means several days.
- 5:50I Hate Talking: It is easy to misunderstand this as days without end and to wonder about the origin of the phrase, but if you do this, you're committing a solecism.
- 5:59I Hate Talking: There's, there's a word for next time.
- 6:02I Hate Talking: Of which we are all guilty from time to time, assuming that something you do not know must be related to something you do know.
- 6:09I Hate Talking: I don't know if that is what a solecism is because later they say, is there a name for this, all you linguists.
- 6:15I Hate Talking: OK, so say it again, what it really is though.
- 6:19I Hate Talking: I don't think they really answered the question.
- 6:23I Hate Talking: OK, no wonder I'm apparently this is part of a larger debate from 15 years ago on English stock exchange because somebody asked, where does the phrase on end come from?
- 6:34I Hate Talking: and then somebody replied the phrase on end means without end.
- 6:37I Hate Talking: OK, that's kind of what we're thinking.
- 6:40I Hate Talking: And then -- the -- other yeah, the other people come back with a whole variety of Things that it is not that.
- 6:53I Hate Talking: So, it seems like this may be debated.
- 6:57I Hate Talking: But that without end is probably not it.
- 7:03I Hate Talking: There's another user that posts that on end appears in Beowulf.
- 7:09I Hate Talking: Hm I did read that book.
- 7:14I Hate Talking: So, there's other posts on here, again, that offer their theories.
- 7:20I Hate Talking: As far back as I guess like the 15th century century, it seems.
- 7:25I Hate Talking: And It would have been an old English phrase that was.
- 7:32I Hate Talking: An end, spelled A N space E N D E.
- 7:37I Hate Talking: And the example is They Sojourned 2 days and end.
- 7:46I Hate Talking: Which means For days on end they sojourned.
- 7:52I Hate Talking: And it basically means without stopping.
- 7:55I Hate Talking: OK.
- 7:57I Hate Talking: So, continuously, yeah, and it, yeah, it seems like there is other support here for that particular theory that it basically means consecutively and without intermission, which aligns with the modern definition of Continuously.
- 8:13I Hate Talking: OK, so to say it just continues on without an end is what we're saying it is, right?
- 8:19I Hate Talking: That's what we thought it was.
- 8:21I Hate Talking: Perhaps, but it doesn't have anything to do with ending.
- 8:25I Hate Talking: It just means continuous.
- 8:26I Hate Talking: Yeah, OK, and a remarkably long time in modern context.
- 8:31I Hate Talking: But wouldn't you argue that if it just continues, it does have something to do with ending because it's, there isn't an end.
- 8:37I Hate Talking: I guess so, but it could describe a journey where they traveled for 2 days on end and then rested and then journeyed another 2 days on end, so they had a break in between.
- 8:50I Hate Talking: But they're still going on in their journey.
- 8:52I Hate Talking: They are.
- 8:53I Hate Talking: -- It -- hasn't stopped.
- 8:54I Hate Talking: Yes.
- 8:55I Hate Talking: The journeys continue on end.
- 8:57I Hate Talking: You know who I was researching today?
- 9:00I Hate Talking: Have you heard of the British gentleman who back in like the 90s or something like that started walking?
- 9:07I Hate Talking: He made a bet, I guess, that he could walk from Chile to Britain.
- 9:12I Hate Talking: And he's been doing it and he's almost there.
- 9:15I Hate Talking: He's gonna get there soon.
- 9:17I Hate Talking: And it's been like 30 years.
- 9:19I Hate Talking: -- So -- is he walking on end?
- 9:21I Hate Talking: But I guess not, right?
- 9:22I Hate Talking: I wanna say he is, but I guess there is an engine in sight, cause he's about to get to Britain in the next couple months.
- 9:28I Hate Talking: Have you heard of him?
- 9:30I Hate Talking: I've not heard of him.
- 9:31I Hate Talking: But is he taking breaks in between?
- 9:34I Hate Talking: Like, does he live in Europe and like he flies home for the summer or anything?
- 9:39I Hate Talking: -- I -- mean, I'm not an expert in him, but no, I think he's literally hasn't been home since then.
- 9:45I Hate Talking: So he like flew to Chile and started walking and just like journeys along the way, -- and his only mode of transport is walking and -- swimming.
- 9:55I Hate Talking: He does swim swim.
- 9:56I Hate Talking: He has to swim a couple of times, -- I -- guess, yeah, to cross rivers or other bodies of water, water.
- 10:01I Hate Talking: His name is Carl Bushby.
- 10:05I Hate Talking: He's from Britain.
- 10:07I Hate Talking: And in November 1st of 1998, he started in Chile.
- 10:13I Hate Talking: And he's walking.
- 10:16I Hate Talking: Let me see when it says.
- 10:17I Hate Talking: He's getting close.
- 10:19I Hate Talking: I think he's in Belgium right now.
- 10:21I Hate Talking: How do you walk there?
- 10:22I Hate Talking: Do you have to go like there's massive bodies of water in between.
- 10:26I Hate Talking: He starts in Chile and then he walks on the left side of the continent up through like Mexico and California and continues through um Canada and then Alaska and then crosses over from Alaska.
- 10:45I Hate Talking: And now the story I heard was when he got there, Russia wouldn't let him in.
- 10:49I Hate Talking: So then he had to walk back down.
- 10:51I Hate Talking: To get approval, I think he had to walk all the way to LA.
- 10:55I Hate Talking: Get approval from the consulate and then go back up and crossed over from Alaska to Russia, but the land bridge is closed, right?
- 11:05I Hate Talking: I it's underwater.
- 11:07I Hate Talking: Well, that's what I was saying.
- 11:08I Hate Talking: You can swim.
- 11:10I Hate Talking: You can swim along the Aleutian chain.
- 11:12I Hate Talking: I did not know that.
- 11:14I Hate Talking: -- You don't believe -- this guy.
- 11:15I Hate Talking: I did not think that you could traverse without any type of like boat or equipment -- from Alaska into -- Russia.
- 11:25I Hate Talking: Well, that's why he was in a pub back in the 90s and made a bet with someone who apparently agreed with you that he could do it.
- 11:33I Hate Talking: And so, so this is it.
- 11:35I Hate Talking: We didn't even go on the Aleutian chain, he went somewhere further up north.
- 11:41I Hate Talking: I guess there is a like a pretty close things of land in Wales, Canada.
- 11:49I Hate Talking: Uh, someplace in Russia that I cannot pronounce.
- 11:53I Hate Talking: So could you swim that, I guess.
- 11:56I Hate Talking: Still pretty.
- 11:57I Hate Talking: Big chunk of water to cross.
- 12:00I Hate Talking: He thought it would take him 12 years and it's taken 28 so far.
- 12:04I Hate Talking: Well, you had a pretty big detour if you had to go back to LA to get his approval to enter Russia.
- 12:11I Hate Talking: So I'm curious now how big this water is because That's gotta be, according to my Google Maps and my thing, it's like a 20 mile swim, and then there's a little island that you can rest on, and then it'd be like another 28 mile swim.
- 12:27I Hate Talking: Oh He has a little pushcart that has his tent and all his supplies and he pushes it with him.
- 12:35I Hate Talking: But yeah, he's supposed to get there in September or October is when he's projected to finally make it since 1998.
- 12:45I Hate Talking: So according to my search here, it is possible to swim from Alaska to Russia across the Bering Strait.
- 12:53I Hate Talking: The water is extremely cold and crossing involves significant risks, and he certainly didn't bring his cart and all his supplies.
- 13:00I Hate Talking: Yeah, I mean, I imagine for a while, I heard that he had, I mean, he was married, I guess when it started, and then they divorced at some point.
- 13:09I Hate Talking: And then uh he had another significant partner for a while, and they ended their relationship because of distance, and it was too difficult.
- 13:19I Hate Talking: But I think sometimes she would walk with him and stuff.
- 13:22I Hate Talking: So I think that along the way, he's had people that um probably helped push the stuff or bring him supplies and all that, you know.
- 13:30I Hate Talking: AI says it's not possible.
- 13:33I Hate Talking: Walking from Chile to the UK is not feasible due to the vast distances and ocean barriers.
- 13:38I Hate Talking: Well, I wonder if they're gonna change.
- 13:40I Hate Talking: What's this guy's name?
- 13:41I Hate Talking: His name is Karl Bushby.
- 13:45I Hate Talking: Karl with a K.
- 13:46I Hate Talking: And then Bushby, B U S H B Y.
- 13:51I Hate Talking: Yeah, I'm like rooting for him.
- 13:54I Hate Talking: I'm so excited for him that he's almost there, and I can't believe I didn't hear about him until recently.
- 13:59I Hate Talking: Like this is crazy.
- 14:03I Hate Talking: So he has golden rules, there's no motorized transportation to advance his journey and no returning home to the UK until he arrives on foot.
- 14:16I Hate Talking: Those are his two rules.
- 14:18I Hate Talking: He's hiked through dangerous swamps in Colombia and Panama.
- 14:23I Hate Talking: He's gone through the Bering Strait.
- 14:25I Hate Talking: He walked across 58 miles of frozen ice, sea ice from Alaska to the Siberia.
- 14:32I Hate Talking: Yeah, so that's how he got, he didn't swim.
- 14:34I Hate Talking: -- So maybe he did push his cart if they went across -- on the -- ice -- when it was frozen.
- 14:38I Hate Talking: That's crazy.
- 14:39I Hate Talking: Back in 2006 when he did that.
- 14:42I Hate Talking: The Caspian Sea, he did swim in the Caspian Sea.
- 14:45I Hate Talking: For 186 miles across the sea in 2024 to bypass geopolitical hurdles and to avoid re-entering Russia.
- 14:56I Hate Talking: That's intense So I guess he will soon prove AI wrong if it is possible and AI will have to change that.
- 15:05I Hate Talking: What did they bet?
- 15:06I Hate Talking: Like, is he just gonna get a beer?
- 15:07I Hate Talking: I don't even know.
- 15:09I Hate Talking: I'll bet you a beer that you can't walk from Chile to the UK.
- 15:13I Hate Talking: What would someone have to bet you?
- 15:15I Hate Talking: I don't, I don't think anything.
- 15:17I Hate Talking: I don't think I would, no, yeah, I.
- 15:20I Hate Talking: I don't know.
- 15:22I Hate Talking: I can't find what he but.
- 15:22I Hate Talking: That's interesting.
- 15:25I Hate Talking: I mean, I guess it's maybe similar to the path that the.
- 15:29I Hate Talking: fictional character from Pluribus took because didn't he go from like South America to North America had to go somewhat through that same dangerous area through like Panama and stuff.
- 15:40I Hate Talking: Is it that a story or what?
- 15:43I Hate Talking: Yeah, it's a story.
- 15:44I Hate Talking: Pluribus.
- 15:45I Hate Talking: I don't know it.
- 15:47I Hate Talking: Oh yeah, like the Odyssey.
- 15:48I Hate Talking: Now, the Apple TV hit.
- 15:51I Hate Talking: show about how all the people are taken over by mind control.
- 15:56I Hate Talking: Did I watch that?
- 15:57I Hate Talking: I tried to make you watch it.
- 15:59I Hate Talking: I apparently I fell asleep.
- 16:02I Hate Talking: You don't recall this.
- 16:03I Hate Talking: OK, so I looked up for a while with the power of editing, so we could pause, because I wanted to find out what is he gonna get.
- 16:14I Hate Talking: And obviously, I'm sure Netflix is gonna make a movie and all that, so he'll get all that.
- 16:19I Hate Talking: But the wager, the bet he made, there was no massive cash prize or financial gain.
- 16:27I Hate Talking: It was a personal pride in bar wager to see if he could do it.
- 16:32I Hate Talking: When his friend said it was impossible.
- 16:35I Hate Talking: There you go.
- 16:35I Hate Talking: So it's just pure, I'm gonna prove you wrong.
- 16:39I Hate Talking: But Yeah, almost 3 decades, and like I said, I'm sure in the future.
- 16:45I Hate Talking: There will be documentaries or a movie about it.
- 16:49I Hate Talking: I'm sure, yep.
- 16:51I Hate Talking: So back to our lamb chop Mandela effect.
- 16:57I Hate Talking: What is the main Wording of the song.
- 17:02I Hate Talking: Can I say it?
- 17:04I Hate Talking: I can't say it.
- 17:05I Hate Talking: You can say it.
- 17:06I Hate Talking: I don't think you can say, I guess.
- 17:08I Hate Talking: No, you can say the words.
- 17:09I Hate Talking: You're not just, you don't sing it.
- 17:11I Hate Talking: -- It's the musical content probably that -- would.
- 17:13I Hate Talking: This is the song that doesn't end.
- 17:18I Hate Talking: It goes on and on, my friend, some people started singing it, not knowing what it was, and they continued singing it forever just because this is the song that never ends.
- 17:32I Hate Talking: It goes on and on, my friend, and it goes on, continues.
- 17:37I Hate Talking: Interesting.
- 17:38I Hate Talking: So that's not how you would say it.
- 17:40I Hate Talking: Well, you said it differently.
- 17:42I Hate Talking: -- The 1st time and the 2nd time -- because I was, yeah, I was worried about copywriting and singing, and it was really hard to not sing it.
- 17:49I Hate Talking: Right, so this is the song that never ends, goes on and on, -- my -- friend.
- 17:54I Hate Talking: -- Never ends is also how I remember -- it.
- 17:56I Hate Talking: OK.
- 17:57I Hate Talking: Is that not correct?
- 17:58I Hate Talking: According to Reddit, as of 4 years ago, it does not say never ends.
- 18:07I Hate Talking: It says, this is the song that doesn't end.
- 18:10I Hate Talking: -- That's the way I said -- the first time.
- 18:12I Hate Talking: That is the way you said it the first time, -- so that's why I -- was surprised second guessed it and then said it the other way.
- 18:16I Hate Talking: Yeah, interesting.
- 18:18I Hate Talking: Weird.
- 18:18I Hate Talking: How funny.
- 18:20I Hate Talking: I was definitely thinking about it hard the first time, and then I thought I messed up.
- 18:25I Hate Talking: No, I subconsciously said it correctly, I guess.
- 18:29I Hate Talking: Or you said it, what you're, what they changed it to through.
- 18:35I Hate Talking: Parallel universes or something.
- 18:37I Hate Talking: Weird.
- 18:38I Hate Talking: Yeah, that's funny that I said it both ways, or it's not, I guess we've done a lot of these Mandela's or whatnot, and I go back and forth.
- 18:46I Hate Talking: I flip flop a lot, right?
- 18:47I Hate Talking: You're pretty consistent on your viewpoint on stuff and then.
- 18:52I Hate Talking: Or the way you hear it or say it, and I flip flop back and forth.
- 18:57I Hate Talking: In speech, so I guess it's not surprising.
- 19:00I Hate Talking: Yup.
- 19:01I Hate Talking: So let's, uh, pause here and you're a listener, you can pause as well.
- 19:06I Hate Talking: Go find this on YouTube, listen to it and see if you're surprised.
- 19:11I Hate Talking: We're going to take a quick break so we can listen to it on YouTube and see what we think.
- 19:15I Hate Talking: OK, so we listened to it on YouTube.
- 19:17I Hate Talking: It wasn't that jarring for me.
- 19:19I Hate Talking: Like I would, if I was asked to sing the song, I would have definitely said never.
- 19:25I Hate Talking: This is the song that never ends.
- 19:26I Hate Talking: But when I hear it sung, this is the song that doesn't end.
- 19:31I Hate Talking: It's not like Jarring, I guess, so.
- 19:36I Hate Talking: I think this could be one that I just misremember.
- 19:38I Hate Talking: Yeah, I don't know.
- 19:41I Hate Talking: I.
- 19:41I Hate Talking: I have no idea what my brain did because hearing that, I'm like, no, I'm pretty sure it's never.
- 19:49I Hate Talking: But then I said it was doesn't.
- 19:51I Hate Talking: So I'm not quite sure.
- 19:53I Hate Talking: Now it's interesting to note that as I was typing this into YouTube, and if you are a listener, paused and went to listen to this.
- 20:00I Hate Talking: Maybe you had the same thing happen to you as I typed it in.
- 20:04I Hate Talking: This is the song that YouTube suggested never ends.
- 20:10I Hate Talking: And then the second thing was doesn't end.
- 20:12I Hate Talking: So that either means that People searched more frequently for Never ends, or that is a remnant of the Mandela effect.
- 20:22I Hate Talking: Interesting.
- 20:24I Hate Talking: Well, did you look it up?
- 20:25I Hate Talking: Is there a Mandela effect for lamb chop?
- 20:27I Hate Talking: Yeah, that's what I was reading from when I was looking at the, the Reddit.
- 20:31I Hate Talking: Well, there's no like official.
- 20:33I Hate Talking: These are the Mandela effects of the world where they change the timeline by the Hearn Collider.
- 20:39I Hate Talking: CERN collider.
- 20:42I Hate Talking: Maybe that's another Mandela effect.
- 20:43I Hate Talking: I don't know why I said Hearn.
- 20:44I Hate Talking: It's C E R N, not H E R N.
- 20:47I Hate Talking: So no, CERN does not publish all the Mandel effects that are caused by their particle accelerator experiments.
- 20:55I Hate Talking: OK, you're right.
- 20:57I Hate Talking: So I guess there's no like official Mandela effect list, but when you look it up, It will say that 90s kids, millions of 90s kids recall belting out never ends, goes on and on, my friend.
- 21:12I Hate Talking: In reality, the lines are, this is the song that doesn't end.
- 21:18I Hate Talking: Yes, it goes on and on, my friends.
- 21:20I Hate Talking: The variations mixed up opinions across online communities point out that playground variations, and official parodies, and occasional humming would frequently swap doesn't and never because it rolls off the tongue more naturally.
- 21:39I Hate Talking: Could be Not sure.
- 21:42I Hate Talking: I don't know.
- 21:45I Hate Talking: Anyways, they hated.
- 21:48I Hate Talking: When I say that.
- 21:50I Hate Talking: Indeed.
- 21:52I Hate Talking: But you did, you did sing it for them.
- 21:54I Hate Talking: What did you sing then?
- 21:56I Hate Talking: I don't know now because I'm just saying both to you, so I'm not sure which one.
- 22:00I Hate Talking: You can ask them, I guess, maybe.
- 22:03I Hate Talking: Yeah, I can ask them, see if they remember.
- 22:07I Hate Talking: Yeah, I second guess myself completely now cause.
- 22:12I Hate Talking: I say both virgins.
- 22:14I Hate Talking: That's true.
- 22:15I Hate Talking: So I guess it is fair to say that that song would go on end.
- 22:20I Hate Talking: -- Regardless of whether you say never or doesn't -- Bush.
- 22:24I Hate Talking: Expedition, his bet.
- 22:29I Hate Talking: is not on end because it has, it's gonna be ending.

- 22:38I Hate Talking: Or set when he arrives in Britain.
- 22:41I Hate Talking: I suppose so, -- lamb -- chop is on end, but his The journey was interrupted by the rejection to enter Russia and then like, it looked like in the brief that I read that at some point, maybe he was kicked out of Russia, had to leave, and then like he came back and picked up his journey from where he left off, right?
- 23:03I Hate Talking: So.
- 23:03I Hate Talking: Those breaks.
- 23:06I Hate Talking: In the journey would make it no longer continuous and therefore intermittent.
- 23:11I Hate Talking: So he journeyed on end until he didn't, and then when he took a break.
- 23:16I Hate Talking: It was no longer continuous, and then he resumed his journey, and now he continues on end until he reaches the end.
- 23:23I Hate Talking: Hopefully, we don't know.
- 23:26I Hate Talking: That would be sad like if he just like couldn't make it.
- 23:30I Hate Talking: 1 more month or 2 more months depending.
- 23:33I Hate Talking: Oh, I'm rooting for him.
- 23:36I Hate Talking: -- There you -- go.
- 23:37I Hate Talking: You're all into these long distance people.
- 23:40I Hate Talking: The women that rose across the Pacific and people that walk across the globe.

- 23:47I Hate Talking: -- I was really I -- think we did mention her in an episode 3 or 4 ago, but yeah, I guess I'm really into following people's endurance.
- 23:55I Hate Talking: Journeys now.
- 23:57I Hate Talking: There you go.
- 23:58I Hate Talking: So perhaps That will be a topic for our episode next time, along with the word that currently escapes me, because I'm pretty sure that was the first time I've ever encountered that word.
- 24:10I Hate Talking: Soleism.
- 24:12I Hate Talking: Soleism, it sounds bad.
- 24:14I Hate Talking: It sounds like soulless, like you don't have a soul.
- 24:18I Hate Talking: Well, it's spelled S O L E.
- 24:20I Hate Talking: CISM, like your foot.
- 24:24I Hate Talking: The sole of your foot, right?
- 24:26I Hate Talking: I guess so.
- 24:27I Hate Talking: -- All -- right, we'll find more about that next time.
- 24:30I Hate Talking: Indeed we will, and the journey will continue on end.
- 24:34I Hate Talking: All right, the journey to understanding.
- 24:37I Hate Talking: So from your friends at I Hate Talking, until next time, remember, it is only through talking that we begin the journey to understanding.
