- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:02Epstein Chronicles. As a Senate Oversight Committee continues their investigation,
- 0:09they've now turned their sites to Doug Band. And Doug
- 0:13Band is somebody that was considered probably the biggest insider
- 0:19during the glory days of the Clintons and he was
- 0:23directly involved when the Clintons were close with Epstein and Maxwell.
- 0:29And Doug Band has come out and said already that
- 0:31Bill Clinton was on the island. So Bill Clinton says
- 0:35he was never on the island, Doug Band says he was.
- 0:39I wonder if Doug Band's going to say that under oath,
- 0:43and if he does, I wonder if that's going to
- 0:45cause a problem for Bill Clinton considering that Billy Boy
- 0:50told us he was never on that island. But we
- 0:52already know that Virginia said he was, and so did
- 0:55mister Scully. So that's three witnesses now saying that he
- 0:58was on the island. How does that make him guilty
- 1:00of any kind of abuse or anything like that. No,
- 1:04but it does prove that he's a liar. And I
- 1:06think that Doug Band is going to be happy to
- 1:08throw him under the bus, because remember they had that
- 1:11big falling out where Doug Band came out and attacked
- 1:15Chelsea Clinton and her lifestyle and the way she conducts
- 1:18herself and also attacked his former boss and buddy, Bill Clinton.
- 1:24So now Congress is going to speak to him and
- 1:27try and find out what he knows, if anything, about
- 1:30Bill Clinton's time with Jeffrey Epstein and Glenn Maxwell. So
- 1:35today we have an article from Fox News and the
- 1:37headline Clinton confidant who called Maxwell's lover grilled by Congress
- 1:42over Epstein ties. This article was authored by Adam Pack.
- 1:47Former Clinton A Doug Band is set to face a
- 1:50grilling by congressional investigators after his name was referenced dozens
- 1:54of times in the Epstein files. And look, he's come
- 1:57out and said already that Bill Clinton is lying. Now
- 2:01I wonder if he's gonna have the stones to do
- 2:04the same thing and say the same thing under oath
- 2:08ban will testify voluntarily another voluntary fucking testimony, because that's
- 2:14worked out so well before the House Committee on Tuesday,
- 2:18and a transcribed interview as part of the bipartisans panel
- 2:20probe into the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and
- 2:24his accomplice Glenn Maxwell, who's serving a twenty year sentence
- 2:28after being convicted on federal sex trafficking and conspiracy charges. Well,
- 2:33if you want to call it that, playing with dogs,
- 2:36eating Chick fil A, doing whatever she wants, I guess
- 2:39that's a twenty year bid. Certainly not the same kind
- 2:42of twenty year bid you'd be facing or your friends
- 2:45would be facing. But if you're Glenn Maxwell, then you
- 2:49diddled little kids. You know, the sky's the limit. I guess.
- 2:54House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer invited Ben to testify
- 2:58about his interactions with Epstein and Maxwell while serving as
- 3:02a top eight to Clinton during the early years of
- 3:04his post presidency, and he was considered the key to
- 3:08the kingdom. If you wanted to get close to Clinton,
- 3:11you had to go through Doug Band. He was basically
- 3:15Bill Clinton's body slave, right, you know, the guy that
- 3:20would attend Bill Clinton all day every day, like in
- 3:23the old days, had like a Roman emperor, and you
- 3:26had somebody that took care of, you know, cleaning him up,
- 3:29washing his face, whatever it might be. Basically Doug Band's job.
- 3:33Whatever Bill Clinton needed, whatever Bill Clinton wanted, it was
- 3:36Doug Band's job to make that happen, and of course
- 3:39that brought him into communication and friendship with Glenn Maxwell
- 3:43and Jeffrey Epstein. Band attended a two thousand and three
- 3:46dinner at Epstein's Manhattan townhouse and corresponded with Maxwell between
- 3:50two thousand and two and two thousand and six, according
- 3:53to files release by the Justice Department, and Doug Band
- 3:57did say that he was friendly with them as far
- 4:00as Maxwell and Epstein go, but I've never really heard
- 4:04that they had some kind of romantic entanglement. Not that
- 4:07it really matters in the grand scheme, but it does
- 4:10prove that Gallayne Maxwell was a skuffooza. How many people
- 4:14have we talked about in this story that she's hooked
- 4:18up with. I mean, this lady's seen more wiener than
- 4:21a pair of Hanes. In a two thousand and six email, Band,
- 4:24who is a University of Florida alumnus, asked to use
- 4:27Maxwell's playing to attend the NCAA men's basketball final to
- 4:31watch the Florida Gators play. In other correspondence published by
- 4:35the DJ, he called Maxwell as lover and social matchmaker,
- 4:39among other flirtatious messages. Isn't that cute Doug Band and
- 4:45his good old girlfriend Gallaine Maxwell. The pair were photographed
- 4:51together at a Valentine's Day tea party at a members
- 4:53only club in New York City in two thousand and seven.
- 4:58That tracks, that's exact factly when Glenn Maxwell and the
- 5:01Clintons were real close. And it's wild to me that
- 5:04there's people out there that actually think that the Clinton's
- 5:06coming to testify put it all to bed. Do you
- 5:09really think they were telling the truth, because they weren't.
- 5:14They lied, just like every other person who's been called
- 5:17to testify and provable lies. We're talking the kind of
- 5:22lies that should be called out by the committee, but
- 5:26of course they have no desire in doing that. Bend
- 5:31has not been charged with any wrongdoing, and his interactions
- 5:34with the couple appeared to largely predate Epstein's conviction of
- 5:37soliciting a minor in two thousand and eight. Yeah, because
- 5:40you know that wasn't happening until then. Nobody had any
- 5:44idea what was happening, right, Well, that's what they'll all
- 5:48tell you. Whether you believe them or not, Well, that's
- 5:51a completely different story. The ex Clinton advisor is likely
- 5:56to be peppered with questions about the former president's ties
- 5:59to the disgraced financier. Band, who initially served as Clinton's
- 6:04personal aid and ultimately became a member of his inner circle,
- 6:08helped establish the Clinton Foundation and the Clinton Global Initiative
- 6:12during Clinton's post presidency. He later cut ties with the
- 6:15Clintons during a public falling out in the early twenty
- 6:19tens and a remember, Jeffrey Epstein provided a grip of
- 6:23seed money for the Clinton Initiative, and that was confirmed
- 6:30by jeral Lefcourt, one of the lawyers for Jeffrey Epstein.
- 6:34So that's not just scuttle, but that's not a rumor
- 6:37that happened. In a twenty twenty tell All interview with
- 6:41Vanity Fair, Band said that he grew to dislike Epstein
- 6:44during a two thousand and two trip aboard Epstein's private
- 6:47jet with Clinton to Africa, and advised the former president
- 6:51and his relationship with him. Also in the interview, Band
- 6:55said that Clinton in two thousand and three traveled to
- 6:58Epstein's private Caribbean island Little Saint James. Band said he
- 7:02declined to attend over his objections to Epstein. Band's account
- 7:07conflicts with Clinton's repeated assertion that he never visited the island. Clinton,
- 7:12who has denied any wrongdoing, has pointed to travel logs
- 7:16that do not show such a trip. The travelogs could
- 7:19be manipulated. We all know that those travel logs weren't canon,
- 7:24they're not biblical. They can be changed, and they were,
- 7:30and sometimes the logs weren't even filled out. So we
- 7:33have Doug Band, we have mister Scully, and we have
- 7:36Virginia Roberts telling us that Bill Clinton was on that island.
- 7:42So who do you believe. Do you believe the three
- 7:44witnesses or do you believe Bill Clinton? Band told Vanity
- 7:52Fairy he sought to bar Maxwell from Clinton related events
- 7:54amid his broader rupture with the Clinton family. Maxwell was
- 7:58notably close to Chelsea Clinton and was invited to her
- 8:01wedding in twenty ten. Still unexplained, that was just, you know,
- 8:06a big goof up. We have no reason why Gilene
- 8:09Maxwell was there in a place of prominence. We don't
- 8:13recall she was there in a place of prominence because
- 8:17she was very close to you. That's why she was there.
- 8:20And now you're trying to gaslight everybody and act like
- 8:22it never happened, like you guys weren't close, like there
- 8:26was never a relationship whatsoever. The House Oversight interview will
- 8:30take place behind closed doors, but a transcript is expected
- 8:33to be published at a later date. Tuesday's testimony comes
- 8:37after Bill and Hillary Clinton testified to congressional investigators in
- 8:41March about their interactions with Epstein under the threat of
- 8:45civil contemned charges. Lawmakers threatened to criminally refer the couple
- 8:49to the Justice Department for contemn charges if they refused.
- 8:53A bipartisan group of lawmakers is also interviewed former Attorney
- 8:57General Pam Bondy, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and Microsoft
- 9:02co founder Bill Gates as part of the committee's probe.
- 9:05Comer's panel in July is expected to interview former Goldman
- 9:09Sachs attorney and Obama council Katherine Rumler, Harvard law professor
- 9:14Alan Dershowitz, and former JP Morgan Chase executive and ex
- 9:19Barclay CEO Jess Staley. Jess Staley should be up here first.
- 9:25If anybody has information about what Epstein was doing financially,
- 9:29it's certainly just day and I think that that's going
- 9:34to be a very very interesting interview. Now. Of course
- 9:37it's not going to go far enough. It's not going
- 9:40to be the kind of colonoscopy that it needs to be.
- 9:44But at least we're going to get them on record, right,
- 9:47at least we're gonna get them in the transcript telling
- 9:51obvious lies, because you know that's coming. And I'm very
- 9:56interested to see how aggressive the questions are, because if
- 9:59you're to aggressively question anyone, I think that Jess Staley
- 10:03is a perfect candidate. All three knew Epstein personally and
- 10:07were among his high profile figures whose names appear in
- 10:10recently released Epstein related files, though none of them have
- 10:14been charged with wrongdoing. And look, I'm not saying that
- 10:18any of them did anything wrong. Besides Jess Staley, we
- 10:23know for a fact that he's admitted already to having
- 10:26relations with one of Epstein's assistants. So which one was it?
- 10:31Was it? Leslie Groff? Doubt it was it. Adriana Ross,
- 10:36doubt it could be, but doubt it was it. Sarah
- 10:40Kellen Vickers. Are we getting warmer? Here? Was it? Nadia Marsenkova?
- 10:45Are we getting warmer? I think we are. And if
- 10:49Jess Staley had relations with them, and they were trafficked.
- 10:53That could be a pretty big problem for Jess Staley.
- 10:56I know, breaking news, right, So I'm really curious to
- 10:58see which way Congress goes, if they're going to softball
- 11:01it or if they're going to come with that high
- 11:04stinking cheddar. And that's what they should be doing, throwing
- 11:09the pitches high and tight brush these people back from
- 11:12the plate and let them know that this is not
- 11:15a game and that if they don't come correct and
- 11:19tell the truth, there's gonna be penalties. Now, I would
- 11:22love to tell you that that's the way the committee
- 11:24is going, but it's not. And so far they've proven
- 11:29themselves to be toothless, no accountability. What two people refer
- 11:35to the Justice Department, that's it. After everything we've heard,
- 11:39those are the only two people. Now, I will say this,
- 11:44our reserve complete judgment until we come to the end
- 11:47of the committee and their investigation, and we'll see if
- 11:50they have anybody getting referred to DOJ for a prosecution.
- 11:54So we'll see what Doug Band has to say today,
- 11:56and once we get the transcripts, like usual, we'll get
- 11:59those added to the catalog as well. Until then, though,
- 12:03that's going to do it for this one. All the
- 12:05information that goes with this episode can be found in
- 12:08the description box.
