- 0:00Speaker 1: That was going on as Romeo, Oh, what do we
- 0:01get into today? The raiders a little bit.
- 0:03Speaker 2: We talked about divorce is a failure on both parts
- 0:06and then what card do you play when you want
- 0:07to get what you want?
- 0:08Speaker 1: Let's see what happened. So it's funny.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Buddy of mine was over the house last night and
- 0:12his wife called him. Well, his phone was sitting on
- 0:14the counter and I looked at it and it was
- 0:16his wife's full name, right, And I thought, why do
- 0:21you have your wife's full name under her contact in
- 0:24your phone?
- 0:24Speaker 1: Should you have some sort of pet name for her
- 0:27something like that?
- 0:28Speaker 2: Already four to or seven at seven, yo, rome I
- 0:32have it as baby.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Most of the time.
- 0:34Speaker 2: When I get mad, I change it to I change
- 0:38it to his first initial. Oh, you have it as babe.
- 0:41But most of the time, most of the time, when
- 0:43I get mad, I change it to his first initial.
- 0:45So you actually take time to change it, all right,
- 0:48A four to seven and seven?
- 0:50Speaker 1: What's going on?
- 0:51Speaker 3: Good morning, Romeo. I was listening to your guys conversation
- 0:56and I personally have been married twice six years and
- 1:01I have his personal last name in my contact and
- 1:04this is because this is because in the events that
- 1:08God forbid, they need to get in touch with him
- 1:10in emergency contacts. I don't want to be like my love,
- 1:13my sweetheart, my my boot thing or anything like that.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Well what about what about my hobby? What about I
- 1:19don't know.
- 1:21Speaker 4: What?
- 1:22Speaker 3: In emergencies, I want him to call him by his
- 1:24first lass name and be like, what the hell? I
- 1:26don't know, it's just weird.
- 1:27Speaker 1: No, I think that's weird o.
- 1:32Speaker 3: But it works for and I'm I don't I'm assuming
- 1:36that he has my personal las name and it is.
- 1:38I don't know what he is.
- 1:39Speaker 1: What's indus? Have you ever checked?
- 1:42Speaker 3: Huh, you don't know.
- 1:42Speaker 5: I've never checked.
- 1:43Speaker 2: Oh, you need to find out.
- 1:47Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:48Speaker 5: It works for us.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Would let me ask you this.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Would you be bothered by the fact if it was
- 1:53if he had some sort of pet name for.
- 1:55Speaker 5: You, you know, I wouldn't be bothered.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I just would be like, do you have my first name?
- 1:59Speaker 2: Right?
- 2:03Speaker 1: In case of emergency.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Plan?
- 2:07Speaker 3: I have to plan for everything different.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Okay, that's that's a little psychotic right there.
- 2:13Speaker 1: That's you're doing way too much. But okay, I understand
- 2:16your logic.
- 2:20Speaker 4: And brob, you know how you're talking about putting the
- 2:22names on your phone. One time we were at a
- 2:27Walmart and this this young guy, he had a heart attack, right,
- 2:31and he had his phone with them. So my wife started,
- 2:35she pushed on.
- 2:36Speaker 5: The iclane, you could serri so and so.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Sure, So she started saying random names, and I was like,
- 2:43he's the most common one, say like call dad or
- 2:46call mom or something.
- 2:47Speaker 3: I say, you know, and Syrie wouldn't wouldn't understanding.
- 2:51Speaker 4: So she said, called babe and it called his girlfriend.
- 2:55Speaker 3: Really yeah, so you know, well the paramedics to to
- 3:00the hospital.
- 3:01Speaker 4: So we let we let her know that her man
- 3:03had had a heart attack at Walmart. That lady that
- 3:10just said she keeps her man first name is doctor
- 3:13bid you know, but something happens we don't know his name.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Well that's the other Well you well, what you would do.
- 3:19Speaker 2: What I think her logic is you look at the
- 3:21last name and then you find the last name and
- 3:23that if it's you know, that would in turn tell
- 3:26who her spouse is.
- 3:27Speaker 1: But yeah, I understand what you're saying. I get it.
- 3:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I get it.
- 3:32Speaker 4: You know, the most common thing, and Siri will pick
- 3:35it up and call that person.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Okay, thanks for calling me all right. You know, like
- 3:40I said, I think it's weird.
- 3:41Speaker 2: I think it's weird if you to have your significant
- 3:45other's full name as their contact their full legal name
- 3:48is their contact name in your phone.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I think that's weird. You should have a nickname, a
- 3:52pet name, something like that. All right. So buddy of mine.
- 3:56Speaker 2: Was at the house yesterday and he had a phone
- 4:00sitting on the Counterwear's wife called him, and the name
- 4:03that came up on the contact when the phone rang
- 4:05was his wife's name, her first name or last name.
- 4:08Speaker 1: And I thought that was strange. I thought, that's your wife, bro.
- 4:11Speaker 2: You don't have her under some sort of pet nickname, honey, wife,
- 4:14love of my life something, I mean, anything but her
- 4:18full name. Man already four two five four or seven
- 4:22a seven yeard roam. I have my boyfriend's nickname as
- 4:27I don't think I could say.
- 4:28Speaker 1: That word on the radio.
- 4:29Speaker 2: But okay, but when I'm upset, I put his full
- 4:32government name in because he hates his first name. That's
- 4:36the other thing. Who's changing the contact name?
- 4:40Speaker 1: Who's doing that?
- 4:42Speaker 2: Unless it's a woman or a man that you started dating. Okay,
- 4:44so you meet them, you put their full name in
- 4:47when you meet them. Then you get start dating, maybe
- 4:50it changes a little bit, but once you get married, man,
- 4:52you gotta have it. You don't use their full name.
- 4:54That just seems so professional, doesn't seem like you really
- 4:57love or like no thought or love when into the contact, Like,
- 5:02don't you guys put any emotion into a contact? Contacts
- 5:06name already four two bovo or seven and seven roam
- 5:10that last callers lyne. If something happens, they obviously they're
- 5:13obviously going to say, I'm gonna say, is this mister
- 5:17so and so?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Oh?
- 5:18Speaker 2: Is this mister so and so she's hiding something? Okay? Ah, Rome,
- 5:24my sancha's name is Pizza Hut in my phone.
- 5:27Speaker 1: That makes sense.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Uh, let's see, hey, Rome, what's up. Back when I
- 5:32used to sleep around, I would nickname the girls I
- 5:34was messing with by their sexual talent. The best one
- 5:38was throat Wizard.
- 5:41Speaker 1: That's kind of funny.
- 5:42Speaker 2: So now that you're not messing around, what is your uh,
- 5:45what is your girl's contact or your wife's contact?
- 5:48Speaker 1: Already four two favour seven and seven?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Like I said, I would think that your wife or
- 5:54your husband, you'd have a little more love and respect
- 5:57for them. To put something special in your contact list
- 6:00as opposed to just their name. So yesterday a buddy
- 6:02of mine was at the house, right, and so he
- 6:05his phone was sitting there, and his wife calls him. Well,
- 6:07the contact name that comes up is his wife's full name.
- 6:10Speaker 1: And I thought that's a little odd. I think it's odd.
- 6:12I think it's weird.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I think if you're gonna have a wife or a
- 6:15husband or girlfriend boyfriend, you gotta have some sort of
- 6:18pet nickname for them that just shows how much you
- 6:21really love them, how much you care about him, right,
- 6:23not just the full name is just so professional and
- 6:27just I mean, no thought whatsoever. I mean, come on,
- 6:32do you call your wife by that fool nickname when
- 6:34you when you address her? I mean, that's just it's
- 6:36weird to me already four two five, four or seven
- 6:39to seven, just like you guys know my boy, big Boy.
- 6:42I got his name, and big Boy, that's how I
- 6:44know who he is already four two five four seven.
- 6:47Oh big boy texting me, he says, send me a screenshot.
- 6:50I guess his phone is linked up with his daughter's
- 6:53phone somehow, So when his wife calls, it says, mom,
- 7:00that's kind of funny already four two by Vos seven
- 7:04to seven. Uh, Roland, let's see big r with this work.
- 7:10Have their full name and have wife in parentheses. Now,
- 7:14I don't think so like Roland. When Roland texts me
- 7:17right now on my personal phone, it comes up rolling Cowboys,
- 7:21because I know he's a big cowboy fan.
- 7:23Speaker 1: But it's not. Yeah.
- 7:27Speaker 2: By the way, for those of you who don't know,
- 7:28I get text messages through the radio station. I get
- 7:30text messages on my own phone as well, But no,
- 7:34it's not.
- 7:35Speaker 4: No.
- 7:36Speaker 1: You gotta have a pet nickname for you and your wife.
- 7:38Speaker 2: It shows how much you really love her, something that's
- 7:40between the two of you.
- 7:42Speaker 1: Already four two Bovo or seven to seven of you.
- 7:45Speaker 2: I just don't think you care enough about your significant
- 7:47other If in your contacts you have their their legal
- 7:51name as opposed to some sort of pet pick pet nickname,
- 7:55that shows how much you really care about them. Let's
- 7:58talk about the contact names, all right.
- 8:00Speaker 1: So here's the deal.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Buddy and Mien was at the house and his phone's
- 8:03sitting there on the counter. We're sitting there talking, having
- 8:05a couple of beers with counter. The wife calls him,
- 8:07comes up her full name, first name, last name, and
- 8:10I was thinking that's a little straight. You don't have
- 8:12a pet nickname for your wife. I mean, you gotta
- 8:16for your wife, your husband, boyfriend, girlfriend. You gotta have
- 8:20some sort of special name that's just between the two
- 8:23of you that you two know about. Whether it's something funny,
- 8:26whether it's something meaningful, meaningful and loving. But there's gotta
- 8:29be something that's just kind of between the two of you, right,
- 8:33shows you really care. So when you put your wife,
- 8:35your husband, boyfriend, girlfriend in under your contacts on your phone,
- 8:39there's gotta be something there that differentiates that person from
- 8:44the rest of your contact right already four to bavo
- 8:48or seven to seven year roam. I have my girlfriend
- 8:52under Princess with two hearts, been there same for six years.
- 8:57See that's a good one. Hey, good morning Rome. I
- 9:01had my husband's name under my honey, but he told
- 9:04me one day that he wants to be on the
- 9:06top of the list, so I changed his nickname to ass.
- 9:12That's kind of funny, all righty four two seven seven yo? Rom,
- 9:17You like my contact for my wife heart for love, Grandma,
- 9:22Grandma because she's my old lady. Middle finger because I
- 9:25hate her sometimes and a burger because she loves to eat.
- 9:30Speaker 1: It, does it?
- 9:30Speaker 2: Says Mia Moore with a heart, a grandmother, a middle finger,
- 9:34and a hamburger.
- 9:35Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Hey, Rome, I have my guys first and last name,
- 9:40but that's but that is this, but that, but that
- 9:45this conversation is going.
- 9:47Speaker 1: I think I'll put roommate.
- 9:49Speaker 2: Oh, I have my guy's first name. But of the
- 9:53way this conversation is going, I think I'll put roommate.
- 9:56Speaker 1: That's kind of funny, Rome.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Also an emergency, see, if someone can get your phone,
- 10:01they're gonna look up look for wife babe to notify
- 10:04the Oh you're talking because the woman who started called
- 10:07in and said she keeps her husband's full name because
- 10:10if there's an emergency and they need her phone to
- 10:13contact somebody.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Yeah, wife babe is aw is right? I mean, what
- 10:19would you look for if.
- 10:20Speaker 2: You found if somebody was you know, something was happening
- 10:24to somebody you had to use their phone to call
- 10:26their significant other.
- 10:27Speaker 1: What would you what word would you look for a
- 10:29wife babe? Something like that. You wouldn't know to look
- 10:31for a full name.
- 10:32Speaker 2: That's why I say, just the idea of it though,
- 10:34to me, is it's meaningful something between you and your
- 10:41significant other that means something. Everybody should have some sort
- 10:45of pet name or some sort of nickname that you
- 10:49have between you and your significant other that means something,
- 10:52and that should be their contact name in your phone.
- 10:55The other on Friday, somebody texted me, Hey, rome any
- 10:59please not making fun of the Raiders. That hurts my feelings.
- 11:02How can you be so mean? Hold on, my mom
- 11:05is asking if I'm on breakfast. I'm fifty five year
- 11:07old man who drinks truly love my wine, but you
- 11:11just hurt my feelings when you talk about the Raiders.
- 11:13Fernando Mendoza is God and he's gonna save us. All
- 11:18I gotta go. I'm checking my balance on my EBT
- 11:21so I can make sandwiches later. You gotta be one
- 11:27of the stupidest people on the planet if you think
- 11:29Fernando Mendoza is gonna make the Raiders better next year.
- 11:33I mean, you really got to be a moron. But
- 11:37I'm sorry. I'm sorry for hurting your feelings. Okay, at
- 11:40least he texted me. He didn't have his mom call me.
- 11:42Speaker 1: All right, eh room, Yeah, I love when you sing.
- 11:50Speaker 4: It.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Romeo Mendoza is not even gonna start next year. They
- 11:53signed Kirk Cousins. The groom him. I know, I know,
- 11:56I saw that. I think Kirk Cousins makes more money
- 11:58than any The guy must have made like a billion
- 12:01dollars play an NFL quarterback and he's never accomplished anything
- 12:04in his career?
- 12:05Speaker 1: Has he? Has he ever accomplished anything?
- 12:07Speaker 2: But yet he's gonna go to the Raiders and groom Mendoza.
- 12:14What is Kirk Cousins the comp That's that's how good
- 12:17the Raiders are.
- 12:18Speaker 1: They brought They brought in.
- 12:21Speaker 2: A quarterback that has basically stole money from every team
- 12:25he's ever played on. I don't believe he's ever won anything.
- 12:29Has he except maybe a playoff game? Has Kirk Cousin
- 12:33won a Super Bowl?
- 12:36Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 12:37Speaker 2: But yeah, that's the guy they're bringing into Mentor. Leave
- 12:41it to the Raiders to get a second ar eight
- 12:43quarterback to mentor their first round draft pick.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Already four to seven to seven?
- 12:51Speaker 4: What's going on? Gilly put up Gilly back from the draft,
- 12:55baby from the draft. How was it? It was good?
- 13:00It was really good. We went over there. We flew
- 13:02over there Tuesday.
- 13:03Speaker 1: And looks like it turns into a good party.
- 13:07Speaker 4: Yeah, and you know what we were at, well, you
- 13:10know that place by the back of your hands. You've
- 13:12been there so many times. But right there on this
- 13:16trip they got rolling, you know that place rolling?
- 13:20Speaker 1: Yeah, yah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I was suddenly finished.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Yeah okay. And then anyway, everybody was having a good time.
- 13:28But you know who made apses of themselves.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Right, Raider fans.
- 13:32Speaker 4: Yep. Every once in a while they would do their
- 13:36chance Raiders that said, having won one to nineteen eighty three,
- 13:44and so they kept doing that. Well, you know, the
- 13:46only time they were quiet is when they came over
- 13:51to the bar and told Dawn, which was the lady, Yeah,
- 13:55you know, serving the drink, she is there, any way
- 13:59we can breakdown our chat. And that's a damn. That's
- 14:03the only time you guys get quieted when you guys
- 14:05got to pay your bis. So one guy went in
- 14:10the corner at his dad to zell damn, you keep
- 14:20yelling out, hey, this is for going for your dad.
- 14:28Oh yeah, Oh.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Those guys are such clowns.
- 14:32Speaker 4: But I will tell you this, the customer service that
- 14:36you get over there, compared to California comparison it's different.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yeah, it is, it is. You're right, You're right. It's
- 14:46a different town.
- 14:47Speaker 2: It's a different town, different people, different, Yeah, it is all.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Right, Gilly, Okay, brother, I'll talk to you to this,
- 14:55all right, all right?
- 14:56Speaker 2: Yeah, just send me, Gilly, just send me whatever you're
- 14:59gonna send me already four two seven seven.
- 15:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 2: It's it's embarrassing the way the Raider fans think that this. Yeah,
- 15:08you'd be better off just I don't know why you
- 15:10guys just didn't go get Derek carrback. He would you'd
- 15:13be better off getting him back then? Who cousins?
- 15:18Speaker 1: What a joke? Alrighty?
- 15:19Speaker 2: Four two five four seven seven, Hey, roam. The biggest
- 15:24head scratcher for me was Ty Simpson going to the Rams.
- 15:27So what are the plans for Stafford? And they're trying
- 15:31are they're saying Simpson will be the number one? The
- 15:33number three are the number three in the depth chart.
- 15:38I don't know, you guys act like you guys act
- 15:42like I'm some loser who doesn't have a life and
- 15:44things to do that I actually.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Watched the draft and care.
- 15:47Speaker 2: I mean, the only reason I know about Mendoza because
- 15:50somebody told me and all my dumbass Raider fan friends
- 15:54think they're gonna win a super Bowl with this clown.
- 15:56Speaker 1: But no, you guys think what the hell's time in?
- 16:00Who else? Ty Simpson?
- 16:01Speaker 2: Okay, come on, man, you guys need to really get
- 16:04a life, all right? Would you send me here? Hey, rom,
- 16:08I thought you were a football fan. If you were
- 16:11a real football fan, you would have watched the draft
- 16:13this weekend to see what your team did.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Now you're an idiot that if you.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Think the draft is something in that's so important as
- 16:26for you as a fan to make you a fan,
- 16:29you are pathetic, man. I mean what you're living vicariously
- 16:34through somebody else to what make yourself.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Feel better or worse? I don't, I don't. I don't
- 16:40even know how to explain it. It's so pathetic.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I mean, what what to be a real football fan
- 16:47you have to watch the draft. I don't own that team.
- 16:50I don't get anything from the football team that uh
- 16:54that I support, So why would I waste my time?
- 16:59I mean, it's just like fantasy football. What kind of
- 17:01losers are you to think that you think you actually
- 17:04accomplish something by playing fantasy football?
- 17:09Speaker 1: Get a life, man, that's ridiculous. Wow, Hey, good morning Romeo.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Lots of dudes are back to regular jobs today. They
- 17:19became part time sports analysts over the weekend. Oh my god,
- 17:30you do gotta say the one thing that you do.
- 17:36I will say this about sports. The one thing that
- 17:40is good about sports is everybody should be able to
- 17:44have their opinion about sports right about what they think about,
- 17:48what they about their team, or how they feel about
- 17:51their team, what they think their team is going to do.
- 17:54Speaker 1: I do agree with that.
- 17:55Speaker 2: The problem is most of you clowns take it way
- 17:58too far and you think because you play fantasy football that.
- 18:03Speaker 1: You're actually a GM of a football team.
- 18:06Speaker 2: No, you're still just some dude that needs to get
- 18:09a wife for paying more attention to your family, and
- 18:12stop acting like fantasy.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Football is life.
- 18:16Speaker 2: You're living vicariously through other men that are actually accomplishing something.
- 18:23Speaker 1: It's pretty great, by the way, the NFL is.
- 18:25Speaker 2: Those guys are pretty damn talented and have worked their
- 18:28asses off to get there, and some of the most
- 18:31elite athletes in the world. Right, and you guys live
- 18:34like vicariously through them, like you've accomplished something. And the
- 18:39draft is even worse. You're over here watching the draft
- 18:44of people that have absolutely no history in the NFL,
- 18:51no playing time with real NFL players that are far
- 18:55and far far better than these kids coming into the draft. Now.
- 19:00I'm not saying they're not gonna be great players. I'm
- 19:02not saying that these kids from college aren't gonna be
- 19:04great at some point, but they are nobody's compared to
- 19:08the NFL players in the league right now.
- 19:11Speaker 1: And you guys are so I mean, what is wrong?
- 19:15Speaker 2: It really shows that there's something wrong with your life,
- 19:19Like what is missing in your life that you have
- 19:22to live vicariously through sports? I mean, are you ALBUNDI?
- 19:28Do you not like your wife? Do you not like
- 19:30your family? Are you alone?
- 19:31Speaker 1: I mean, my god, right, I gotta tell you guys something,
- 19:38And I just, man, when are you.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Guys gonna learn? A friend of mine, so he got divorced.
- 19:46It's been over two years since he's gotten divorced. Right,
- 19:49it didn't work out. Him and his wife were married
- 19:51for like ten years, didn't go. It didn't work out.
- 19:54I think he cheated first, then she cheated second. So
- 19:58it just was never, you know, never gonna work out.
- 20:01And he's complaining he's still complaining. Two years after divorce,
- 20:06he's still blaming his wife and complaining and saying, well,
- 20:10I wouldn't have cheated if she would have done this,
- 20:12and she would have done that. And first of all,
- 20:15after two years, get over it, my god. I mean,
- 20:19divorce happens, and it seems to be very it seems
- 20:21to be more and more common nowadays. But at a
- 20:25certain point, get over it. You know, it didn't work out.
- 20:29I'm sorry, it's it's it's and it's kind of rough
- 20:33to say that, right, Well, Roam, you never went through
- 20:35a divorce like you know, and there was this, There
- 20:37was that, and the trauma and the and the pain
- 20:39and the agony and the you know, the the mental
- 20:42the mentally draining you know how it drains you mentally
- 20:46and this and that.
- 20:47Speaker 1: Right, I get it. But at some point.
- 20:52Speaker 2: You have to realize that divorce is failure on both
- 20:56of your.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Parts, not just one.
- 20:59Speaker 2: And you could you could all say, well, he cheated
- 21:02on me or she cheated on him, or whatever the
- 21:04case may be.
- 21:06Speaker 1: But somehow it.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Got to that point. Okay, Now, if you just married
- 21:12a cheater, okay, I get it, there was never gonna
- 21:15work in the first place. Because he was a cheater
- 21:17when you met him, right, or when you met her right.
- 21:20I just heard the story the other day from a
- 21:23friend of mine. She was telling me a coworker was complaining,
- 21:27wasn't complaining, but cheated on her husband. Husband found out,
- 21:32went out there. Now they're going through a divorce. And
- 21:34her explanation as well, that's just who I am. It's
- 21:37in my DNA because my mom was a cheater, and
- 21:40that's my aunt was a cheater, So we're just cheaters.
- 21:43So that's how she justified it to herself. Okay, so
- 21:46maybe that's a little bit different. I don't know, but
- 21:49it really is failure on both parts involved in the relationship. Okay,
- 21:56And you guys can say, well, you guys can look
- 21:59at the outcome or how you got there or what
- 22:02it is, Well this this.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Is more wrong than that, So it's his fault or
- 22:07it's her fault. But the reality is.
- 22:11Speaker 2: It's failure on both your parts, and you guys need
- 22:15to get over it. I mean, it's just at a
- 22:19two years. I mean, this guy's been divorced for two
- 22:21years and he still complained about what she did and
- 22:27why it was her fault. I mean, you guys, gotta
- 22:33understand you.
- 22:35Speaker 1: You're blamed. If you went through a divorce, you're partially
- 22:39to blame as well. Okay.
- 22:41Speaker 2: And I'm not saying what the other party did wasn't important,
- 22:45wasn't worse. But I'm saying, is it got there somehow,
- 22:49So take some responsibility.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And move on. I just don't know how people can
- 22:55live like that. This guy, just how can you live
- 22:57like that? Alrighty for two.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Four seven to seven already fourteen ft four seven seven. Hey, Romeo,
- 23:06you're absolutely right about the divorce. I cheated on my
- 23:11wife three years ago we got divorced, and she still
- 23:15blames me for our divorce to this day after three years,
- 23:20even though she won't admit that the reason I cheated
- 23:23was because of her hold on a second, that is
- 23:26not what I said. Okay, don't get me wrong. I mean,
- 23:31I'm not saying that one is worse than the other. Okay.
- 23:38What I'm saying, I'm not saying that her driving you
- 23:40to cheating in your mind, and you cheating makes you
- 23:43right and her wrong. That is not at all what
- 23:46I'm saying. You're still wrong more so than she is wrong. Okay,
- 23:51you should have not cheated. But my point is she
- 23:55has some blame for your relationship that led you to cheat.
- 24:00That doesn't mean you were right, okay, but it's you.
- 24:06Guys gotta stop, You gotta get over it, and you
- 24:09gotta just my gosh, three years so she's still complaining
- 24:13after three years?
- 24:14Speaker 1: I mean, how happy? How unhappy? Are you.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Accept accountability for your relationship not working and move on.
- 24:24Speaker 1: You can't live life like that. That just does not
- 24:27sound fun at all.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I mean, I have a couple of friends who are
- 24:31just still they're becoming worse people because of their divorce,
- 24:37yet they're still in relationships. I just don't know how
- 24:43that could be, how that's possible. They're just not happy
- 24:47people to be around.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Just I don't know.
- 24:51Speaker 2: And if you're just gonna blame somebody else when and
- 24:54you don't realize that a divorce is a failure on
- 24:56both parts, Yeah, you need to figure that out already.
- 25:00Four two, five, four, seven to seven your room. You're
- 25:03talking about divorce and people not getting over it. Do
- 25:06you think the person that blames the divorce on the
- 25:11other person is the one that didn't want the divorce.
- 25:15Speaker 1: To begin with? Maybe?
- 25:19Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know, if you get cheated on,
- 25:24then it's the person's who's cheated's fault. But you still
- 25:30have some blame, right, I don't know. Oh wait, hold on,
- 25:34let me finish the text message, because let me tell
- 25:37you what happened with my uh, with my divorce Romeo
- 25:40or my relationship. I wanted to have more children and
- 25:44my wife didn't, so we ended up divorcing, and I
- 25:49ended up getting with another woman to have more children.
- 25:52And my wife blames me for the divorce. So she
- 25:57still is bothered by it to this day, and it's
- 26:01been five years.
- 26:02Speaker 1: Now.
- 26:03Speaker 2: Do you think maybe because she didn't want the divorce
- 26:06is why she's still harping on it.
- 26:09Speaker 1: Maybe? I mean, yeah, I guess that could be a reason.
- 26:13I mean, I just.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Relationships don't work sometimes, and I mean you want to
- 26:18have I mean, you can't if your wife does not
- 26:21want to have any more children.
- 26:22Speaker 1: Obviously you know there's nothing you could do about that.
- 26:25Speaker 2: You have to and evidently you made a decision to
- 26:28move on, which I you know, some people will say
- 26:31that's right, some people will say that's wrong.
- 26:33Speaker 1: I'm not really sure.
- 26:34Speaker 2: I won't make a comment out right or wrong, but yeah,
- 26:37I guess I could see why she still blames you
- 26:39because you know, I don't know if you left for
- 26:43a selfish reason, or maybe it's selfishness, I don't know.
- 26:47Speaker 1: I mean, you.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Might be right, but you see these people who complain
- 26:56about divorce, who complain about what happened, blame somebody else,
- 27:01But yet they've moved on in their own relationship, gotten remarried,
- 27:04gotten new relationships, but yet they're still holding a grudge
- 27:09against their ex husband or wife. I mean, I don't
- 27:15understand that. Already four two fought four seven to seven.
- 27:20So you might be right. You might be right with
- 27:22what you're saying.
- 27:23Speaker 1: All right, divorce, Uh yeah, divorce.
- 27:27Speaker 2: You guys got to get over it at some point
- 27:29in your life. I mean, I'm not saying get over tomorrow.
- 27:32I'm not saying a week or a month, but maybe
- 27:35over a year you're I mean, after a year or two,
- 27:39you should.
- 27:39Speaker 1: Be you should be over.
- 27:40Speaker 2: And I would think already four two fought, four seven
- 27:43to seven A Romeo, I think that last caller was right.
- 27:50The person who didn't want to get divorce is the
- 27:54one that blames the other person. My husband cheated on
- 27:58me a couple of times and thought I was just
- 28:00supposed to accept it. Now. I did accept the first time.
- 28:05So then he did it again after he said he
- 28:08would never and I didn't accept it. I ended up
- 28:11divorcing him. He thought I was just He thought I
- 28:15should just accept it like I did the first time.
- 28:18Now he still runs around to this day talking about
- 28:22how bad of a wife I was and that if
- 28:26I was a better wife, he never would have cheated
- 28:28on me.
- 28:30Speaker 1: So maybe that guy is right.
- 28:32Speaker 2: My husband never wanted to get divorced, so he's the
- 28:34one talking about me and holding a grudge.
- 28:39Speaker 1: Well, okay, I mean, maybe the guy is right. Maybe
- 28:43he is right whoever.
- 28:44Speaker 2: But it's just the idea that there's a certain point if.
- 28:49Speaker 1: Especially if you moved on.
- 28:51Speaker 2: How can you move on in another relationship but yet
- 28:56still be complaining about.
- 28:57Speaker 1: The old one, You know what I'm saying.
- 29:00Speaker 2: Just it's a little troublesome already fourteen five, four or
- 29:05seven to seven, Oh man, I was talking a little
- 29:08bit about divorce because I have some people in my life,
- 29:10some friends that are a couple of years out of
- 29:13their marriages, and they're just still blame their partners. And
- 29:17it's not just men, it's women. To just move on
- 29:21after a few years. And what's even crazier is there're still, uh,
- 29:26they've they've moved on, they've got new girlfriends, and they've
- 29:29got new husbands or new wives, and they're still harboring
- 29:33bitterness about their ex, their their past marriage.
- 29:37Speaker 1: And I guess, I guess you should. You can still
- 29:41harbor it, I guess.
- 29:43Speaker 2: But when you publicly tell people about it and complain
- 29:46about it, I mean, what does that say about you?
- 29:49I mean, you were you have fault in your divorce
- 29:52as well. No, it's not one sided, Okay, A marriage
- 29:56or a relationship not working out is not one person fault.
- 30:00It's both person's fault, person's peoples. It's both of your faults.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Okay. Now, one the way it ends might be very dramatic.
- 30:09Speaker 2: And and you shouldn't have done it in that way.
- 30:13Speaker 1: I mean, but.
- 30:15Speaker 2: If you just come home and say, hey, I want
- 30:17a divorce. I'm not happy with this, I'm not happy
- 30:21with that, and your partner says, well, I'm not going
- 30:26to change or we're not going to Okay, let's get
- 30:29divorced or I.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Don't want to. I mean, it's.
- 30:34Speaker 2: The problem is somebody does something big to get a divorce,
- 30:37somebody does something big, a big dramatic scene, and then
- 30:40now you're the bad guy, okay, whether you and usually
- 30:44it's cheating. Usually it's cheating already four two or seven
- 30:48to seven. But something led to that, and that's the problem.
- 30:53You know, if you want to go cheat because your
- 30:56wife's not having sex with you, then just tell your
- 30:59wife you want a divorce and move on. You know,
- 31:03if you want to cheat because your husband spends more
- 31:05time at work or with his buddies than he does
- 31:07it with you, then just tell him you want to
- 31:09move on.
- 31:10Speaker 1: But that's not how it normally works out.
- 31:12Speaker 2: But there is a problem there, I mean on both parts,
- 31:15and I think a lot of you guys need to
- 31:16see that. And once you see that, you can move
- 31:18on from it once you take some accountability. Already four
- 31:23to bob or seven to seven in Romeo.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Divorce is tough. It drains you mentally.
- 31:31Speaker 2: My wife and I went through a three year divorce
- 31:35because she wanted all this money from me, which I
- 31:37didn't think she deserved, and it was just a battle
- 31:41and a drain. So I can see why people harbor
- 31:46bitterness over their partner. Maybe not because of the relationship
- 31:51and the way it ended. But because the divorce is
- 31:54so draining mentally, do you ever think.
- 31:57Speaker 1: About that.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Now?
- 32:00Speaker 1: I didn't, but you could be right. You could be
- 32:03right right now? What's going on?
- 32:08Speaker 5: So these is pretty crazy. My brother got an amborced, okay,
- 32:13and so they moved out to Wisconsin because his ex
- 32:19had an opportunity to open up a new for where
- 32:25she worked at and run it. She did that, and
- 32:28then after that she had an opportunity to go to
- 32:32Texas to do the same thing, and she cheated on
- 32:37my brothers. She's now with that guy that she met.
- 32:43Moved back to Bakersfield and now she's with him, and
- 32:47she wosing my son or my brother and sons to
- 32:51call him dad.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Wow?
- 32:58Speaker 5: Yeah, where I rather go ahead?
- 33:01Speaker 1: And I'm sorry right here in Bakersfield.
- 33:03Speaker 2: Yeah, And so did your brother go with her or
- 33:06stay here while she went?
- 33:09Speaker 5: They moved all the way to Wisconsin. They didn't move to.
- 33:12Speaker 1: Texas, gotcha.
- 33:14Speaker 5: So you know, he had to move back to Bakersfield.
- 33:18He had to sell the house that they you know, got,
- 33:21and all kinds of crazy stuff. And it's wild the
- 33:26things that she's doing, and like how they moved all
- 33:30the way from Bakersfield to Wisconsin. It's wild and you know, like, well,
- 33:40I don't know, she has the kids calling him dad
- 33:44and all that.
- 33:45Speaker 1: How is the kid.
- 33:48Speaker 5: One it is twelve and the other one six.
- 33:50Speaker 1: Do the kids know the difference or are they being brainwashed?
- 33:54Speaker 5: Okay, okay, so yeah, because like custody battle, you know,
- 33:59So they have one week with the mother and then
- 34:02the next week with my brothers.
- 34:04Speaker 4: Yeah, sure, Well, anytime they come back.
- 34:07Speaker 5: They're like running to my dad.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Or my brother.
- 34:10Speaker 2: No, they'll unfortunately, unfortunately, your brother is just gonna have
- 34:15to wait it out.
- 34:15Speaker 1: They'll they'll at certain point.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Probably in the next well I don't think they'll leave
- 34:19each other, but when they're gonna want to live with
- 34:22him before probably by the time their teens don't want
- 34:25to move in with your brother.
- 34:27Speaker 5: They don't even want to be there now.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Yeah, well I get it, but unfortunately, your brother's gonna
- 34:34have to wait this one out until they can make
- 34:36that decision exactly.
- 34:39Speaker 5: They do not want to be with her at all.
- 34:42Speaker 1: That's hilarious. Well, I wonder why she won't give them up.
- 34:45I wonder what she what her deal is, if they
- 34:47she knows. I wonder what.
- 34:48Speaker 5: That's all about good mother. She wants to look like
- 34:51he cares. And you know, when they are living in Wisconsance,
- 34:54she has abandoned everybody.
- 34:56Speaker 1: Oh well, she is a cheater. So yeah, she is
- 35:00a cheater, so she's already looks bad.
- 35:03Speaker 2: Yep, exactly, You guys, just all right, thanks for calling.
- 35:15Speaker 1: What'd you sent me here? Alrighty four two five four
- 35:17seven to seven?
- 35:18Speaker 2: Yo?
- 35:19Speaker 4: Rome?
- 35:20Speaker 1: What do you got here? It says, hey, yo, Rome.
- 35:23As for my divorce, I.
- 35:24Speaker 2: Had continuously spoke to my ex wife about stuff I
- 35:28had issues with her. She would repair the issues temporarily,
- 35:31maybe a week or two.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Tops i'd ended up.
- 35:34Speaker 2: I did end up cheating, and I should have just
- 35:38left her, but didn't just because I had hopes she
- 35:42would change. But never did I know that. I know
- 35:48what I did was wrong, but she should have been.
- 35:52She shouldn't have been surprised that we ended in divorce.
- 35:58She is the one who initiate the divorce, and till
- 36:01this day she still isn't over it and weaponizes my
- 36:06kids to me, It's been four years. She's been in
- 36:10and out of relationships, and I'm just cool by my
- 36:14well being lonely.
- 36:16Speaker 1: Which brings me to my question for you.
- 36:18Speaker 2: She's brought over eight guys around my kids, as in,
- 36:23she's moved in and out of eight plus guys into
- 36:28her apartment.
- 36:29Speaker 1: What do you think about that?
- 36:31Speaker 2: I've only brought one woman around my kids, and it
- 36:33was a serious relationship, but that ended and haven't brought
- 36:36anyone around my kids. Do you think I should be
- 36:39more open? Or is she overdoing it? That's a very
- 36:44good question. She's probably overdoing it. It's probably messing with
- 36:49the kids when she does that. I mean, you can't
- 36:51just move men in and out, you know you can't.
- 36:55You probably shouldn't just be moving multiple men in and
- 36:58out of your house. That probably does not bode well
- 37:02for the kids. I'm just guessing. I'm sure the kids
- 37:05are a little a little confused, depending on how old
- 37:09they are and what age.
- 37:10Speaker 1: But yeah, so there you go.
- 37:14Speaker 2: I like how you said though you always blamed her,
- 37:18you always told her she needed to change. You ever
- 37:21think that maybe you needed to change as well in
- 37:23some manner? So yeah, your story sounds kind of like
- 37:29a typical Bakersfield Hallmark story right there? All right? I
- 37:34Ney fourteen four seven seven, Hey, Romeo, I can understand
- 37:40a divorce or even a breakup being mentally draining. But
- 37:44why harbor bitterness? Well, I mean, yeah, harbor bitterness because
- 37:51you still love somebody, right, I mean, let's be honest.
- 37:55The problem is not harboring the bitterness. Right, You and
- 37:59I go through a divorce, yes, or break up. You know,
- 38:02we have feelings for each other.
- 38:03Speaker 1: We love each other. Hell, we got married, went through
- 38:04the whole process.
- 38:05Speaker 2: Right, you go through all that, You're gonna have a loyalty,
- 38:09a commitment, a bond, You're gonna have a lot of
- 38:12you know, you probably shared a lot of things. It's
- 38:14gonna be It's tough, you know, it's tough to lose that.
- 38:18So I understand the bitterness, you know, because especially if
- 38:22somebody did something dirty to you, you know which you know,
- 38:25even though I will always say divorce is failure on
- 38:28both parts.
- 38:31Speaker 1: You whatever led up to.
- 38:33Speaker 2: The divorce, how both parties had a responsibility in that. Now,
- 38:38it's the way that you get there that can cause
- 38:42a problem. Cheating's gonna cause bitterness, you know, leaving somebody
- 38:45leaving you for another person's gonna cause bitterness because you
- 38:49weren't good enough. I mean, the bitterness is understandable. The
- 38:55problem with it is when you're still bitter after you've
- 38:59supposedly moved on to somebody else, and that's the bigger issue,
- 39:05or the or or just continuing to be bitter forever
- 39:11instead of moving on and getting over it. I mean,
- 39:15that's a that's a big story here in Bakersfield, you know,
- 39:21that's I know lots of people that are that are
- 39:24remarried and when their spouse isn't around, they will still
- 39:31talk bad about their ex and it's it's it's strange
- 39:38to say the least, but I mean, there's a lot
- 39:41everybody's going to be bitter. Man, you can't it's human
- 39:43nature to be bitter about something. Someone does you dirty,
- 39:46or you feel you feel like you've failed at something,
- 39:49you get bitter about it, you know, I mean, maor
- 39:52divorce is a failure and it's a failure on both parts.
- 39:57So there's the bitterness is understandable. It's when you hold
- 40:02onto that bitterness for years and years that's.
- 40:05Speaker 1: When it becomes a problem.
- 40:07Speaker 2: Let's talk about the cards you play to get what
- 40:10you want, right, there's a lot of you out there,
- 40:13especially in your relationships. You know, you got that card
- 40:17that wild card that you're just holding on to that
- 40:19you'll play for women most of the time it's sex.
- 40:23Speaker 1: You know, it's for your husbands.
- 40:24Speaker 2: You just if you want something out of your man,
- 40:26you just give them sex and kind of get what
- 40:27you want.
- 40:28Speaker 1: So you play the sex card.
- 40:31Speaker 2: I was thinking about this the other day because a
- 40:32friend of mine was over at his house and we
- 40:35were having some beers, beers and whiskey in the backyard,
- 40:39just hanging out, you know, and his wife, he plays
- 40:43the drunk card on her, on her husband, on my buddy,
- 40:48and he knows it, and he still can't stop it,
- 40:53right because he's he's kind of a cheap dude.
- 40:56Speaker 1: Like he doesn't really like spending a lot of money.
- 40:58Speaker 2: He doesn't really like going and you know, spending money
- 41:00on vacations and and things like that or you know,
- 41:05concert tickets or he's just kind of a dude. He's
- 41:07kind of a stay at home dude. And he uh,
- 41:11but man, once he once he starts having a couple,
- 41:16he loosens up. He wants to hang out. I mean,
- 41:19he's a fun guy when he's drunk, just absolutely incredible
- 41:23to be with. And he starts paying for stuff money
- 41:27and he has money, so.
- 41:28Speaker 1: It's not like he's breaking the bank.
- 41:30Speaker 2: But every time his wife wants something or she wants
- 41:34to get something for the kids, that's kind of an extra,
- 41:38you know, kind of a something they want that you know,
- 41:43he really wouldn't want to buy or pay for. When
- 41:47he's uh, you know, sober, he plays that card. She
- 41:50just waits, and now everybody knows it. Her kids, her
- 41:56dad's out having you know, dad's drinking, having fun. He
- 41:59likes to have more fun. You know, he figured and
- 42:02he knows it. We all make fun of him because
- 42:04of it.
- 42:05Speaker 1: Just wait.
- 42:06Speaker 2: We even say that in our friend group, like just
- 42:08wait till he gets drunk. Then was like if we
- 42:10want to go, like if we want to plan a
- 42:12weekend to go do something, we just wait till he
- 42:15gets it, gets a little tipsy, and then we say.
- 42:17Speaker 1: Hey, let's go do this with everybody. Okay, yeah, let's
- 42:20do it. And then there you go.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Right, So, everybody's got a card like that that they
- 42:24play with their spouse, with their relationship. I mean, maybe
- 42:29you got a card you play at work, You got
- 42:31a wild card in your back pocket that you use
- 42:33to get what you want?
- 42:35Speaker 1: What is it?
- 42:36Speaker 2: And for two, five, four or seven to seven. All right,
- 42:40So let's talk about the cards you play to get
- 42:42what you want, right, The sex.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Card, the drunk card, I don't.
- 42:47Speaker 2: Know, pick a card that you use to make me
- 42:50feel guilty card, whatever that may be, to get what
- 42:53you want. Everybody does it. The sympathy card. Is that
- 42:57what that is called?
- 42:58Speaker 1: All righty?
- 42:58Speaker 2: Four two five four seven into seven eight Romeo, it's
- 43:01funny that you say that, because every time I want
- 43:04to go out to dinner and I don't want to cook,
- 43:08I play the sex card not having sex with my husband.
- 43:11Speaker 1: I just take a shower, start.
- 43:13Speaker 2: To get ready, walk around half naked, and he starts
- 43:17looking at me like what's going on?
- 43:18Speaker 1: And I say, oh, I just want to go out
- 43:20to dinner.
- 43:21Speaker 2: And every time he takes me out to dinner, doesn't
- 43:24matter if he just worked all day, doesn't matter, if
- 43:28he's got other things to do. He always takes me
- 43:31out to dinner.
- 43:35Speaker 1: But that's what I mean, It works, right.
- 43:36Speaker 2: I don't know if do guys have a card to
- 43:38play with their wives? I mean, do you guys have
- 43:40a have a wild card or something in your back
- 43:43pocket to use to get what you want out of
- 43:45your wife or your girlfriend. Or girlfriend's probably pretty easy.
- 43:48But your wife, I mean, how.
- 43:51Speaker 1: Exactly does that work? All right? Hey?
- 43:54Speaker 2: Fourteen five, four or seven to seven? Because men, I
- 43:57think men are pretty stupid, right, Either you get him
- 44:00or you give them sex, and they pretty much give
- 44:02you whatever you want, especially if they actually love you
- 44:04and care about You're right, it's that simple.
- 44:07Speaker 1: I don't know what dudes do. What card do you
- 44:09play to get what you want? Already? Four two, five,
- 44:12fours seven to seven? All right? So everybody's got a
- 44:15card they play right in their back.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Pocket just in case, you know, they got to use
- 44:19it for something to get what they want.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Yeah, what do you got? Already? Four two five, four
- 44:26seven to seven? A Romeo.
- 44:29Speaker 2: I know this might sound a little shady, but I
- 44:32am a single mom with three kids, and going out
- 44:37to dinner is very expensive nowadays, so I always play
- 44:41the Grandpa card. I call my dad, or I have
- 44:43one of the kids call my dad and say say, pop, pak,
- 44:48can we go out to dinner? And every time he
- 44:51says yes and takes all of us out to dinner.
- 44:55My mom knows I play that card, She's okay with it,
- 45:00but I don't know if he does or not, but
- 45:02it always works.
- 45:05Speaker 1: That's what I'm playing, right. Everybody's got a card they play.
- 45:11Speaker 2: Hey roam, If I need him to do something and
- 45:13he lags on me, I explicit I explicitly say I'll
- 45:18just do it myself, he jumps right up.
- 45:23Speaker 1: That's what I'm saying, right. What cars do you play?
- 45:26What cars do you play? To get what you want? Already?
- 45:29Speaker 2: Four two five fours seven to seven. By the way,
- 45:33that one where you uh, where you say you'll do
- 45:35it yourself.
- 45:36Speaker 1: I've heard that card where where.
- 45:38Speaker 2: The wife will say, well, I'll just call my dad
- 45:40to do it, and he will also jump right up
- 45:43and get it done already four two, five fours seven seven?
- 45:47Speaker 1: What card do you play to get what you want? Already?
- 45:49Four two pop four seven to seven?
- 45:53Speaker 2: Uh hey, Romeo, my wife is down to have sex
- 45:56with me anytime, but if I want some freaky crazy
- 45:59uh sex, I have to give her a couple of
- 46:02drinks and his own. I guess you play the drunk
- 46:07card to get what you want too. That's all that's
- 46:12all it takes.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Hey, rome Hey.
- 46:15Speaker 2: What I do is just always I let these females
- 46:20know what number they are kind of like the DMV.
- 46:23If you're a number twelve and you know there are
- 46:26eleven girls in front of you, you know you got
- 46:28to step it up and go above and beyond beyond
- 46:33to matter. I know you like to make these chicks
- 46:37think they matter. I make sure they know they only
- 46:41matter based off performance. If a number twelve doesn't want
- 46:44to step up, she knows there are eleven chicks that will.
- 46:48I usually bring out the usually brings out their best efforts. Okay,
- 46:54I guess, I guess there you go. My man is
- 46:57running his life. You must have a lot to offer
- 47:00for huh.
- 47:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know. Well there you go, aren'ty four
- 47:03two or seven seven?
- 47:06Speaker 2: Hey Romeo, you don't think it's wrong for couples to
- 47:10manipulate each other like that playing a wildcard, are using
- 47:14some sort of sex or money to get what they
- 47:17want out of their spouse. People are just supposed to
- 47:20love each other and do things for each other because
- 47:22they want to, not because they get something.
- 47:26Speaker 1: Out of it. Well, yeah, I get it. I mean
- 47:30I don't know.
- 47:33Speaker 2: Yeah, you're right, you're right, But unfortunately, I guess you
- 47:37got to understand. I think most most relationships today are
- 47:45what do you call it transactional. I mean, I just
- 47:49I don't think just the world we live in today, man,
- 47:51nobody's loyal, nobody cares and loves in the same way
- 47:54that they used to. I just, I mean, I I
- 47:57agree with you, but I just think most relationships today
- 48:00are transactional.
- 48:01Speaker 1: I mean, wouldn't you agree with me?
- 48:04Speaker 4: Throw me over in the morning, every morning morning ninety
- 48:07four point one
