- 1:13Speaker 1: the new faucet. That's what's happening. It's a smaller project,

- 1:46Speaker 2: Go a step. It's a story you need to hear
- 1:49Speaker 2: to believe.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Then grab your popcorn because there is more. I was
- 1:53Speaker 1: very happy to see that's people are picking up on
- 1:59Speaker 1: a story that we brought to you yesterday on Tony
- 2:04Speaker 1: Katz Today. It was a statement from Promila Gyapaul, the
- 2:10Speaker 1: congresswoman from Washington State Progressive she was actually the leader
- 2:15Speaker 1: of the Progressive Caucus for a while, talking about oil
- 2:20Speaker 1: supply to Cuba, now I'm going to start by sharing
- 2:23Speaker 1: it with you, and it's a little bit longer than
- 2:25Speaker 1: a clip I would normally play. It is outrageously important
- 2:28Speaker 1: you hear all of it. I'm going to share it
- 2:32Speaker 1: with you, and then if you missed the thing that
- 2:35Speaker 1: is the moment, I'll let you know first. Here's what
- 2:38Speaker 1: it is that the Congresswoman Progressive Jamila Pott Promila Gyapaul
- 2:44Speaker 1: had to say.
- 2:45Speaker 3: In the January, Trump issued an executive order threatning tariffs
- 2:50Speaker 3: on any country's supply of fuel to Cuba. This was
- 2:53Speaker 3: this January, just a few months ago, and oil shipments
- 2:57Speaker 3: from Venezuela, that's where Cuba had been getting it's oiled,
- 3:01Speaker 3: were halted after the US operations to kidnap Nicholas Baduro.
- 3:06Speaker 3: Since January, only one Russian tanker of oil has made
- 3:12Speaker 3: it to Cuba. In fact, it landed just a couple
- 3:15Speaker 3: of days before I landed. And one tanker has enough
- 3:20Speaker 3: oil basically for ten to fourteen days of Cuba's oil needs,
- 3:26Speaker 3: so it's a very limited amount of time. Now Russias
- 3:29Speaker 3: said they're going to send another tanker. I was in
- 3:32Speaker 3: conversations with the ambassadors from Mexico and some other places,
- 3:36Speaker 3: and I know other countries in Latin America. I'm trying
- 3:39Speaker 3: to figure out how to get oil there. But it
- 3:42Speaker 3: is a crisis beyond imagination. Just this past Friday, on
- 3:47Speaker 3: May first, Trump signed a broad executive order that widens
- 3:52Speaker 3: sanctions and allows for new penalties similar to what we
- 3:56Speaker 3: have for Iran and Russia against bourn Day firms that
- 4:00Speaker 3: are dealing with Cuba. And it also reinforces the ban
- 4:04Speaker 3: on US tourism. I have called these sanctions an economic
- 4:11Speaker 3: bombing of the infrastructure of Cuba. It is illegal. It
- 4:15Speaker 3: is just the war. We we're talking about this and
- 4:17Speaker 3: ran honestly to bomb the infrastructure of any country that
- 4:21Speaker 3: is against international law. This is essentially doing the same thing.
- 4:26Speaker 3: It is bombing the infrastructure of Cuba.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Now it's not the same thing. But let's go back
- 4:34Speaker 1: to what we heard, and maybe you heard it first.
- 4:39Speaker 1: Here is the congresswoman complaining about how rough it is
- 4:44Speaker 1: for the communists of Cuba. Yes, it's rough for the people,
- 4:49Speaker 1: but one must break the regime. Communism is evil and
- 4:53Speaker 1: all communists are wrong and dangerous. End of discussion, and
- 4:57Speaker 1: you do not want them having a foothold. Been working
- 5:00Speaker 1: with people like China and Russia in the Western hemisphere.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Yes, they get broken.
- 5:05Speaker 1: They were getting the oil from Venezuela again avoiding sanctions,
- 5:11Speaker 1: and that's how they were surviving while they're providing a
- 5:13Speaker 1: foothold for the Chinese to be able to take a
- 5:15Speaker 1: listen to us and engage with us. No, they have
- 5:18Speaker 1: to go let any remnant of Castro die. But there's
- 5:24Speaker 1: Primula Jiapaul being supportive of the communist regime. Then it
- 5:28Speaker 1: was you know, Russia brought a tanker of oil and
- 5:31Speaker 1: Russia saying they'll bring another tanker of oil.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I'm old enough to remember when.
- 5:35Speaker 1: Russia was bad, when Russia was colluding with President Trump,
- 5:41Speaker 1: when Russia Russia Russia.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Now all of a sudden, Russia's good. That is something else.
- 5:48Speaker 3: But the story was here as just said, they're going
- 5:53Speaker 3: to send another tanker. I was in conversations with the
- 5:57Speaker 3: ambassadors from Mexico and some other places, and I know
- 6:00Speaker 3: other countries in Latin America trying to figure out how
- 6:03Speaker 3: to get boiled their combinding.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Did Congresswoman Familia Jaia Paul just say she's working with
- 6:10Speaker 1: other nations to thwart sanctions that the United States is
- 6:12Speaker 1: placed on Cuba.
- 6:13Speaker 2: To get them oil.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Now, I don't consider myself a legal expert, but if
- 6:21Speaker 1: there's a definition of treason, doesn't that at least fit
- 6:24Speaker 1: around the definition. I've been working with other nations to
- 6:32Speaker 1: figure out a way to get them oil, even though
- 6:36Speaker 1: we have sanctions in place.
- 6:42Speaker 2: How is this not from page news everywhere?
- 6:47Speaker 1: If that's not treasonous, I'm openly stating I'm working against
- 6:51Speaker 1: the President of the United States and the foreign policy
- 6:54Speaker 1: of the United States of America.
- 6:56Speaker 2: Well then what is what is?
- 7:00Speaker 3: Oh?
- 7:00Speaker 1: Yes, and thank you Howie who mentioned that she said
- 7:03Speaker 1: we kidnapped Maduro. We didn't capture We kidnapped him like
- 7:08Speaker 1: he's a seven year old girl.
