Transcript
- 0:13Speaker 1: All right, everybody, we are back with give them Lala
- 0:18Speaker 1: with rand.
- 0:20Speaker 2: We are here, We're here.
- 0:23Speaker 3: I'm in Saint George, Utah, quarantining at my mom's condo.
- 0:26Speaker 1: Yes, and I am still here in Los Angeles.
- 0:31Speaker 3: And today would be the day that we would be
- 0:34Speaker 3: preparing to get married.
- 0:37Speaker 4: Today would be the day.
- 0:38Speaker 1: It's actually I think we'd be about four hours away
- 0:42Speaker 1: from walking down the aisle.
- 0:43Speaker 3: Yeah, which you know, like I woke up this morning
- 0:48Speaker 3: and I had a lot of, you know, really great
- 0:51Speaker 3: text messages from friends and family just saying like we're
- 0:55Speaker 3: going to be celebrating this day no matter what, like
- 1:00Speaker 3: you know, just really sweet words. And I was really
- 1:03Speaker 3: sad and you and I had our cry this morning,
- 1:06Speaker 3: but then you showed me the weather outside.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Which is, by the way, I just want to say
- 1:14Speaker 1: thank God, because if I woke up to a seventy
- 1:17Speaker 1: five degree blue sky, I think we both need therapy
- 1:20Speaker 1: for a long time. So the takeaway, the takeaway I
- 1:23Speaker 1: agree with you is I sent you that picture because
- 1:26Speaker 1: the minute I opened my eyes, I was sad, and
- 1:29Speaker 1: I saw the sky and I saw this bear tree
- 1:31Speaker 1: and it just cold and dark, and I went on
- 1:34Speaker 1: on the balcony and I was like, Lala's going to
- 1:37Speaker 1: be so happy, because I think we'd just be bummed.
- 1:40Speaker 4: You know that it was overcast, right cool, and like.
- 1:42Speaker 2: We're we are bummed. Obviously, it like.
- 1:46Speaker 1: Sucks, no, but we have to find the silver lining.
- 1:48Speaker 3: You have to And I looked up on my phone
- 1:51Speaker 3: because again I'm in Utah, I'm doing this podcast with
- 1:54Speaker 3: Rand via FaceTime, looking at that Sexy years.
- 1:59Speaker 2: And it was like a high.
- 2:01Speaker 3: So we were going to get married at sunset, which
- 2:03Speaker 3: was like five thirty and it's a high of sixty
- 2:06Speaker 3: four at that time, with like.
- 2:07Speaker 2: A little bit of peeking son, I was like, oh
- 2:10Speaker 2: fuck this. Thank God.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I think that God always has the bigger plan. Yes,
- 2:15Speaker 1: nobody wanted this COVID, but I will say, the only
- 2:18Speaker 1: silver lining that we find today in the sadness and
- 2:21Speaker 1: in this uh you know, not having our wedding day,
- 2:24Speaker 1: is that the weather sucks and that at least when
- 2:26Speaker 1: we push it and we pick our new date, when
- 2:29Speaker 1: things are safe, it'll.
- 2:30Speaker 4: Be blue sky and hopefully eighty degrees.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Well, and so many other brides have reached out to
- 2:37Speaker 3: me being like I really supposed to get married. Yes,
- 2:40Speaker 3: I was supposed to get married today, like I'm I'm
- 2:43Speaker 3: so sad, but you know, we're in this together, and
- 2:45Speaker 3: I do I feel this like weird bond with brides
- 2:48Speaker 3: that have had there.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Are you gonna cry?
- 2:50Speaker 3: Yeah, oh babe, don't do that. But like a bond
- 2:58Speaker 3: with brides who have you know, set a date that
- 3:02Speaker 3: it no longer is taking place and you have to
- 3:04Speaker 3: find like our silver lining is the weather.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Is shot, right, There's not a lot you can say,
- 3:11Speaker 1: like it's not like, oh you know that.
- 3:13Speaker 4: I mean, it just sucks and it's heartbreaking.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And we've known we've changed the state now for a
- 3:20Speaker 1: solid month, but that doesn't make it any easier today.
- 3:22Speaker 4: But I will say that I.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Do feel a blessing that the weather sucks and that
- 3:27Speaker 1: we are going to have a magical day coming up
- 3:29Speaker 1: as soon as this thing is is over. And and
- 3:33Speaker 1: I nothing changes between us. You know, you're my soulmate,
- 3:37Speaker 1: and that doesn't whether we get married today, we get
- 3:39Speaker 1: married in two months from now, or whatever day it is.
- 3:41Speaker 4: I just know I'm spending the rest of my life
- 3:43Speaker 4: with you.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Well, I have so it was. I've been here for
- 3:47Speaker 3: like three or four days. I was at the house
- 3:52Speaker 3: in La with Rand and I was like I have.
- 3:56Speaker 2: To get the fuck out of here, Like.
- 4:00Speaker 3: I cannot wake up in this house for one more
- 4:04Speaker 3: day because I'm ready to assassinate everybody.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I would like to use a better word for what
- 4:10Speaker 1: you're trying to describe what we call it, like redlining.
- 4:14Speaker 1: You know, the throttle was all the way at nine
- 4:18Speaker 1: and the next thing is that the engine would blow.
- 4:21Speaker 4: So but I want to tell you something.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I've talked to a lot of people about this, and
- 4:25Speaker 1: this is the truth. A lot of people are feeling
- 4:28Speaker 1: the same way we're feeling, Like when I went down,
- 4:31Speaker 1: you know, for a drive down to Laguna, like just
- 4:33Speaker 1: getting out of the house and driving obviously, you know,
- 4:37Speaker 1: we're lucky that you have another place to go, you know,
- 4:40Speaker 1: and take a few days and just get away and
- 4:42Speaker 1: see a change of scenery, just.
- 4:43Speaker 4: Like I did when I did the RV thing.
- 4:45Speaker 1: I think people don't realize, like peep, the stress levels
- 4:49Speaker 1: that we're all under of you know, quarantining and same
- 4:53Speaker 1: routine and we're.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Trying to be creative every day.
- 4:55Speaker 1: It's not easy, right.
- 4:56Speaker 4: It's not easy.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Yeah, And I'm sure like it is weird being like okay,
- 5:02Speaker 3: well they were supposed to get married on April eighteenth,
- 5:05Speaker 3: like they should be around each other.
- 5:07Speaker 2: For me, it was like when I decided to get
- 5:09Speaker 2: in the cars my mom.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Come to Utah, I was like, you know what April
- 5:13Speaker 3: eighteenth was going to be that day, But now like
- 5:16Speaker 3: I can't hold that date as anything of significance because it.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Just is what it is. But it's you know, it's
- 5:23Speaker 2: not significant anymore at all.
- 5:25Speaker 1: Our new day that we that as soon as we
- 5:28Speaker 1: know it's safe to confirm our new day, like that's
- 5:31Speaker 1: going to be the day we remember for the rest
- 5:32Speaker 1: of our lives. And that's the day we're going to
- 5:34Speaker 1: celebrate our anniversaries. And you know, I think, you know,
- 5:39Speaker 1: getting out of the house. I'm giving people advice, like
- 5:42Speaker 1: we like we are people that are best friends. We
- 5:45Speaker 1: get along, you know, we we love being with each other.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I think if you can take a drive, take a break,
- 5:52Speaker 1: get away for a day or two, it's it's healthy,
- 5:55Speaker 1: you know.
- 5:56Speaker 2: And I think that, oh yeah, and I'm here. I'm
- 5:59Speaker 2: here in with.
- 6:02Speaker 3: Yes my little bff who we were quarantined together when
- 6:06Speaker 3: this shit all hit, like all this stuff hit the fan.
- 6:10Speaker 3: We were she flew out for my bridal shower with
- 6:13Speaker 3: my mom and her mom and other and so then
- 6:17Speaker 3: we quarantined together in Palm Springs and then things are
- 6:19Speaker 3: getting weird. So it was like, let's head back to
- 6:21Speaker 3: La quarantined together there and then things started getting intense.
- 6:24Speaker 3: We were like fuck this, let's just hob in the car
- 6:27Speaker 3: and quarantine in Saint Georg's Utah for a while.
- 6:31Speaker 2: And it's been great.
- 6:32Speaker 3: It has like I miss you, but you know, it's
- 6:36Speaker 3: it's a different vibe in Utah, like this is my
- 6:40Speaker 3: home state. I grew up coming to Saint George like
- 6:43Speaker 3: every other weekend, and it's just like I get back.
- 6:47Speaker 3: It's really weird to think about because you know, the
- 6:50Speaker 3: other day and you know that this happened to me.
- 6:53Speaker 3: I was looking online and I saw this article that
- 6:57Speaker 3: came out like this another Dalist block and it was
- 7:01Speaker 3: about like the things that I had said in the
- 7:04Speaker 3: on the after show about Shina.
- 7:07Speaker 2: And my heart just sank and I went through.
- 7:09Speaker 3: You know, quarantine has offered me a lot of time
- 7:12Speaker 3: to reflect on who I am and the person that
- 7:15Speaker 3: I want to be. And I was reading it and
- 7:18Speaker 3: I'm like, who is this person that's like, you know,
- 7:22Speaker 3: I thought back to how I treated Raquel and you know,
- 7:25Speaker 3: I'm always going to be a firecracker, that's just in
- 7:28Speaker 3: my DNA. But there were things that you know, I
- 7:32Speaker 3: had been doing the past two years, and I feel
- 7:34Speaker 3: like the passing of my dad, like sobriety or not,
- 7:37Speaker 3: I got sober for myself and my relationship. But I
- 7:41Speaker 3: think the hardening of just my soul and my spirit
- 7:46Speaker 3: happened after my dad where I looked at life and
- 7:48Speaker 3: I was like, people need a tough in the fuck up.
- 7:51Speaker 3: Shit's gonna happen to you. And I just got very
- 7:54Speaker 3: like hardened, there's no other way to put that.
- 7:58Speaker 1: So that two a few nights ago, when we were
- 8:01Speaker 1: in bed and you were, you know, in tears for
- 8:04Speaker 1: a long time, I felt like for the first time.
- 8:08Speaker 3: After I had seen what I the article that was
- 8:10Speaker 3: written about things that I said, but.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Also you had you had kind of like it was
- 8:14Speaker 1: just like a cleansing, like you were like, look the
- 8:16Speaker 1: last two years losing my dad and and and remember
- 8:20Speaker 1: the anniversary of that is in a couple of days.
- 8:22Speaker 1: So I think two years now into the passing of
- 8:26Speaker 1: your dad, for the first time I felt in this
- 8:29Speaker 1: relationship since that's happened, that you were free like you
- 8:34Speaker 1: now know that the walls have come up, because that's
- 8:38Speaker 1: just what somebody who has the loss that you've experienced
- 8:41Speaker 1: had had to do to survive. Because remember, I picked
- 8:44Speaker 1: you up off the floor when this happened. And now people,
- 8:47Speaker 1: you know, move on with their lives, but they don't.
- 8:49Speaker 1: They don't say Sometimes people who don't experience that kind
- 8:52Speaker 1: of loss forget that you're still dealing with it daily,
- 8:55Speaker 1: if not hourly. And I feel like you built this
- 8:59Speaker 1: wall and you had a lot of resentment in life
- 9:02Speaker 1: because your dad was taken from you and I and
- 9:05Speaker 1: I told you that night when you were in tears,
- 9:07Speaker 1: I said, I'm so proud of you that you can acknowledge,
- 9:10Speaker 1: you know all of this, and that you now want
- 9:14Speaker 1: to just move forward and go back. Because the Lalla
- 9:17Speaker 1: that I know that I get to see every day,
- 9:18Speaker 1: I'm very lucky, is the softest, mushiest love bug I've
- 9:23Speaker 1: ever met. And I think that sometimes you get a
- 9:27Speaker 1: bad rap right only because right, you know. But but
- 9:31Speaker 1: at the same time, it doesn't mean you're It doesn't
- 9:34Speaker 1: let me try to phrase l like this. It doesn't
- 9:36Speaker 1: mean that you're gonna let anybody walk all over you.
- 9:39Speaker 1: Because we know that's not gonna happen now, but I
- 9:41Speaker 1: think you're ready to like be okay and accepting over
- 9:46Speaker 1: the loss, meaning you're just gonna honor it the way
- 9:50Speaker 1: that your dad would want you to honor it. And
- 9:51Speaker 1: I think you had you just went into a full protective,
- 9:55Speaker 1: you know, hardened part of you that you never experienced.
- 9:58Speaker 1: What it is.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Yeah, and you know some people I will say, it's
- 10:02Speaker 3: like you're gonna get a hardened version of me because
- 10:04Speaker 3: I just don't fuck with you like that, you know, like.
- 10:07Speaker 2: That's just what it is.
- 10:09Speaker 3: That's not because it's not because of your day like
- 10:12Speaker 3: drunk sober, my dad here are gone, Like you're an
- 10:15Speaker 3: asshole and I'm going to be an asshole to you,
- 10:17Speaker 3: but like looking at it and being like like the
- 10:20Speaker 3: Raquels of the world and the Shena's of the world
- 10:23Speaker 3: who are.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Like just so sweet. Oh you know, and we all.
- 10:29Speaker 1: What No I want to say. I just want to
- 10:31Speaker 1: say something about Sheena. And I was telling somebody this
- 10:34Speaker 1: the other day. I forgot who because I'm old and forgot,
- 10:37Speaker 1: but Sheena. I want to tell you something. Sheena has
- 10:40Speaker 1: been our friend. I know she's been your friend for
- 10:42Speaker 1: way longer than me. But since the day I met you,
- 10:45Speaker 1: that first couple of weeks, Sina was going to dinners
- 10:47Speaker 1: with us. She was always respectful of the relationship. She
- 10:50Speaker 1: always loved us together. And I just want to give
- 10:53Speaker 1: that shout out to Sheena because I know you feel
- 10:56Speaker 1: the same way. Sheena was a ride or died from
- 10:58Speaker 1: day one since I I met her, when you introduced me.
- 11:01Speaker 1: And I just know the love you have for Shena
- 11:04Speaker 1: is strong, and I don't think it's conveyed, you know,
- 11:07Speaker 1: in some of that press that came out. So I
- 11:10Speaker 1: just want to yeah, well.
- 11:14Speaker 2: And here's pull it together for a second.
- 11:18Speaker 4: Why are you upset?
- 11:19Speaker 3: Because I feel like in this time of being, you know,
- 11:24Speaker 3: stuck with yourself, there's a lot of time to just
- 11:30Speaker 3: like sit and think, and I think this is you know,
- 11:33Speaker 3: I'll this is a part of me that I'll I'll always.
- 11:36Speaker 2: Be very grateful for.
- 11:37Speaker 3: Is where I can sit there and say, you know,
- 11:41Speaker 3: why you have been fucked up.
- 11:43Speaker 2: There are changes that you need to make. And I
- 11:47Speaker 2: just when I was reading.
- 11:49Speaker 3: That blog of just listing these things that I had
- 11:53Speaker 3: said during the after show for vander Pump and I
- 11:57Speaker 3: just imagined Shena reading that shit and like the way
- 12:02Speaker 3: she would feel, and I.
- 12:04Speaker 2: Just like sat there and I'm like, what is wrong
- 12:06Speaker 2: with you? Like what are you doing?
- 12:10Speaker 3: And you know, I felt so compelled to just like
- 12:13Speaker 3: reach out to her and apologize. And I feel like
- 12:16Speaker 3: I know, and I feel like I'm on this like
- 12:18Speaker 3: apology tour and I don't want that. Like, I know
- 12:22Speaker 3: there's gonna be many other times that I say I'm sorry,
- 12:25Speaker 3: but like, I just need to get to a place
- 12:30Speaker 3: with the passing of my dad where I'm still a
- 12:33Speaker 3: sensitive person and.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I'm not like that right now.
- 12:36Speaker 3: You know, I got very hardened by his passing because
- 12:41Speaker 3: it just like it was like someone pulled the rug
- 12:44Speaker 3: out from under me. Like my wife, I had my issues,
- 12:49Speaker 3: but I felt like my life was really great, you know, unless.
- 12:54Speaker 1: Babe, I love you. Listen, You're you're bringing me to
- 12:57Speaker 1: tears again. So I'm gonna try to say this because
- 12:59Speaker 1: then crying.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I'm sorry. It's just like this everything is very emotional
- 13:05Speaker 2: for me right now.
- 13:07Speaker 1: But here's the thing. It's your wedding day. It was
- 13:09Speaker 1: going to be our wedding day, and we're going to
- 13:11Speaker 1: have a better wedding day, and your dad's passing the
- 13:13Speaker 1: anniversaries in a few days.
- 13:15Speaker 4: But let me say this.
- 13:17Speaker 1: You know, I cried with you the night because I
- 13:19Speaker 1: saw for the first time you wanting to make change.
- 13:23Speaker 1: And you know, people can't understand unless they've lost a
- 13:27Speaker 1: parent as early as you have. Now, people can understand
- 13:31Speaker 1: the loss because we've all gone through loss, But you
- 13:33Speaker 1: were twenty seven years old and your dad was taken
- 13:36Speaker 1: from you and he was your best friend, so right,
- 13:38Speaker 1: And I just want to say, I'm not excusing the behavior.
- 13:43Speaker 1: What I'm what I'm saying to you, because I love
- 13:45Speaker 1: you and you're my partner, is I'm giving you. I
- 13:48Speaker 1: want you to give yourself more credit and be kinder
- 13:51Speaker 1: to yourself because part of life is we all fuck
- 13:54Speaker 1: up and we all make mistakes. And this was something
- 13:57Speaker 1: that you couldn't control. I mean, I saw, I was
- 14:00Speaker 1: there the first three months, and I don't think anybody
- 14:03Speaker 1: can grasp that. In my entire life, and I'm forty
- 14:07Speaker 1: nine years old, I have never seen pain. I just
- 14:11Speaker 1: was lucky, I guess right to not see the pain
- 14:15Speaker 1: that I saw you endure, and it did harden you
- 14:19Speaker 1: and it has made you, you know the exterior and
- 14:23Speaker 1: a little tougher and a little more edgier, and you know,
- 14:26Speaker 1: maybe your patience is shorter. But the fact that you're
- 14:29Speaker 1: cleansing to this point and that you've been talking about
- 14:31Speaker 1: this for days now, I mean, be kinder yourself because
- 14:35Speaker 1: it's okay, like we all fuck up. Sena loves you
- 14:39Speaker 1: and Raquel and you just had a podcast where you
- 14:42Speaker 1: guys you know, know your friends now and instead of
- 14:46Speaker 1: always looking backwards, I want you to look forward because
- 14:49Speaker 1: because life is beautiful and you're we're going to have
- 14:53Speaker 1: a beautiful life and beautiful things. And everybody in the
- 14:56Speaker 1: world through tragedy, and I've had my own and you've
- 14:59Speaker 1: had your. We have to kind of pick ourselves up
- 15:02Speaker 1: and say, Okay, I made some mistakes and how am
- 15:06Speaker 1: I going to do better? And just the fact that
- 15:07Speaker 1: you're able to talk about this on the podcast and
- 15:10Speaker 1: sit in the bedroom the other night and cry to
- 15:12Speaker 1: me and say, babe, I become hard. Need I need
- 15:15Speaker 1: to go back a little bit to where I was
- 15:18Speaker 1: a few years ago. I give you mad props because
- 15:21Speaker 1: you your self awareness these days law is like tenfold.
- 15:26Speaker 1: I have never seen you so dialed in, and that's.
- 15:29Speaker 4: You've come along.
- 15:30Speaker 1: I mean you forget a year and a half ago,
- 15:32Speaker 1: two years ago, you know where you were in that
- 15:35Speaker 1: kind of thing. Yeah, I think I think you're in
- 15:38Speaker 1: your greatest self right now.
- 15:41Speaker 4: I do.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I think you're in your most beautiful self I've ever
- 15:45Speaker 1: seen you to want you know that.
- 15:46Speaker 2: Well, thank you, babe.
- 15:47Speaker 3: And you know, I tell this to people a lot,
- 15:50Speaker 3: like even people who have lost a dad. It's always
- 15:55Speaker 3: going to be a different situation because we all have different,
- 15:59Speaker 3: you know, relationships with our parents.
- 16:01Speaker 2: We all have different.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Upbringings where like, you know, I opened up to you
- 16:04Speaker 3: a lot about what I saw as far as my
- 16:07Speaker 3: dad's health when I was very young, and why I
- 16:10Speaker 3: babied my dad so much, Yeah, and why I had
- 16:13Speaker 3: the relationship because you said when you first met me,
- 16:15Speaker 3: you were like, she.
- 16:15Speaker 2: Talks to her dad like four times a day, Like
- 16:18Speaker 2: this is so weird.
- 16:19Speaker 4: No, I said, I was worse than that. The first
- 16:21Speaker 4: three weeks.
- 16:22Speaker 1: I was like, I was telling my buddy, I never forgot.
- 16:25Speaker 4: I was like, this is a weird thing.
- 16:26Speaker 1: She calls her dad literally three or four times day,
- 16:29Speaker 1: And I said, I maybe I'm missing something. I never
- 16:31Speaker 1: see anything like that. And on top of it, within
- 16:34Speaker 1: like two months, you said, oh, you're coming to Utah,
- 16:37Speaker 1: you have to be my dad. I'm like, what. But
- 16:40Speaker 1: when I met him that first dinner in Utah, I
- 16:43Speaker 1: realize the bond you had with your dad is very
- 16:47Speaker 1: unique and very special. So I was very blessed in
- 16:50Speaker 1: those you know, two years that I was. You know,
- 16:53Speaker 1: I got to know your dad the way I did. Well.
- 16:55Speaker 3: Sometimes people will be like Lahla with Randall because she
- 17:00Speaker 3: has like she's seeking a father figure, likes daddy issues,
- 17:04Speaker 3: and I'm like, I do have daddy issues. I have
- 17:06Speaker 3: issues with daddies who weren't like mine. I think it's
- 17:09Speaker 3: sucked up, Like, you know, oh my.
- 17:13Speaker 1: God, that people don't understand that you had the greatest
- 17:17Speaker 1: father and your relationship with him was was second to none.
- 17:20Speaker 4: So like the last thing you have.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Are those issues because you just were blessed to have
- 17:25Speaker 1: a dad at that time.
- 17:27Speaker 3: He had such traumatic health issues that I watched from
- 17:31Speaker 3: the time I was eight years old, like.
- 17:33Speaker 2: Any little thing.
- 17:35Speaker 3: I mean, I told you the time that he ate
- 17:37Speaker 3: a ginger cookie and it was it cut his tongue,
- 17:40Speaker 3: and because he was on blood thinners because of his heart,
- 17:43Speaker 3: it turned into a life or death situation.
- 17:45Speaker 2: They could not get the bleeding to stop. So every
- 17:49Speaker 2: single day that I woke up as a child up
- 17:52Speaker 2: until he passed away, it was.
- 17:53Speaker 4: Like everything every moment.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Yes, you know, I just have to like baby him
- 17:58Speaker 3: so so much.
- 18:00Speaker 4: I just want to say one thing.
- 18:01Speaker 1: I don't think people realize, and I knew a certain extent,
- 18:04Speaker 1: but I think lately we've been talking about it a lot,
- 18:06Speaker 1: and I had no idea. I mean, I cannot imagine
- 18:09Speaker 1: as a child from eight years old to twenty seven
- 18:12Speaker 1: years old, anytime you know your dad had some issue.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I mean you were thinking, maybe this is the last
- 18:18Speaker 1: time'm gonna see my dad. So growing up that way,
- 18:21Speaker 1: the relationship obviously is even more intensified because you cherished
- 18:26Speaker 1: every day with your dad. And I think I look
- 18:29Speaker 1: back down and understand why now, because you and your
- 18:33Speaker 1: heart of hearts knew that it was borrowed time basically
- 18:37Speaker 1: right because of that youth issues. So I think that's
- 18:39Speaker 1: why your relationship was so beautiful and so you know, connected,
- 18:42Speaker 1: because you just you cherished it like every day was
- 18:45Speaker 1: the last day.
- 18:46Speaker 4: So I love you for that.
- 18:48Speaker 3: And you know, I got sober exactly six months after
- 18:53Speaker 3: my dad's passing, and for me, that was my dad
- 18:55Speaker 3: being like, I've given you enough time, took.
- 19:00Speaker 1: It, It's okay.
- 19:02Speaker 5: And now we're approaching to your anniversary of his death,
- 19:08Speaker 5: and I'm feeling him again, being like you're nicer than
- 19:12Speaker 5: this lat like, so I need to do him proud,
- 19:16Speaker 5: and I need to go toes with people who deserve
- 19:21Speaker 5: for me to, you.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Know, like.
- 19:24Speaker 3: And and cherish the people who have really been sweet.
- 19:27Speaker 2: And I have to share this before we.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Go to a break, but not in the middle of
- 19:33Speaker 1: you crying and sharing about your dad. So we'll we'll
- 19:36Speaker 1: hold off.
- 19:37Speaker 3: And the thing that I love about our podcast, rand
- 19:39Speaker 3: is I feel like it's raw and we can be
- 19:42Speaker 3: ourselves and you know, be entertaining, but have fun. And
- 19:47Speaker 3: so she and Ha's mom, Erica, who I love and adore,
- 19:51Speaker 3: sent me a text today that was just like I'm
- 19:54Speaker 3: thinking about you guys today, and you know, like when
- 19:57Speaker 3: she sent that to me, I thanked her and and
- 20:00Speaker 3: then I've just felt like I needed to apologize for
- 20:03Speaker 3: the way that I spoke about her, sweet kid, and
- 20:07Speaker 3: her response was like so beautiful and kind, like it
- 20:11Speaker 3: made my heart warm, Like okay, like you don't need
- 20:14Speaker 3: to beat yourself up over this anymore. Just do better
- 20:18Speaker 3: and be better And that's all I can ask for
- 20:21Speaker 3: from And that's what I want people who listen to this,
- 20:25Speaker 3: I want that to be their takeaway. Like I know
- 20:28Speaker 3: my following, if they're my fan, they're kind of like
- 20:31Speaker 3: me a little bit pot heeaded, like they jumped it
- 20:33Speaker 3: down a little bit. But like we're people and we
- 20:38Speaker 3: have to just like love ourselves, you know.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Yes, And by the way, I think that's a great
- 20:42Speaker 1: thing to take away is forgiveness and not being so
- 20:45Speaker 1: harsh on ourselves. And I tell you that, how much
- 20:47Speaker 1: do I tell you beat yourself up? And it's not
- 20:50Speaker 1: worth it lot? You know what I mean, because we
- 20:53Speaker 1: have to be kind to ourselves, especially right now in
- 20:56Speaker 1: the world that we're walking around it.
- 20:57Speaker 2: Wow, this episode is like therapy for me.
- 21:03Speaker 4: I'll send you my invoice. No, I'm kidding.
- 21:05Speaker 1: All right, well, babe, let's take a quick break because
- 21:07Speaker 1: we have a lot more to talk about.
- 21:12Speaker 2: Kay, Babes, We're back to give them laala with Randall.
- 21:15Speaker 1: All right, we're.
- 21:17Speaker 2: Doing this podcast via FaceTime. Randall is like looking heavy
- 21:22Speaker 2: duty podcast.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Looking boy, and I am you know, I feel like
- 21:28Speaker 3: I'm your guest today.
- 21:30Speaker 1: I know, you know, what I'm gonna interview you. Let
- 21:32Speaker 1: you know what, Let's do this. You're gonna be my
- 21:33Speaker 1: guest for the next ten minutes. I want to Yeah,
- 21:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna interview you about it.
- 21:39Speaker 2: Make it fun, make it fun though and light.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Okay, of course, we just we just did twenty minutes
- 21:44Speaker 1: of cleansing of our you know, of our wedding and
- 21:48Speaker 1: all that stuff. So here we go.
- 21:49Speaker 4: We're gonna.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I'm gonna interview you.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 21:51Speaker 1: So my guest, ladies and gentlemen, is the one and
- 21:55Speaker 1: only fire Cracker, sexy, beautiful stunner my partner, La La Cad.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Welcome to the show.
- 22:03Speaker 2: Hi babe, thanks for having me.
- 22:05Speaker 1: Well, Lala, I love for you to share with us.
- 22:08Speaker 1: There was a new episode of vander Pump Rules this week.
- 22:11Speaker 1: I'd love for you to just take us through it
- 22:13Speaker 1: a little bit and uh and share your feelings on it.
- 22:16Speaker 2: So this episode on Fanda Pump Rules.
- 22:21Speaker 3: So Randall and I got to attend Tom and Katie Schwartz's.
- 22:27Speaker 2: Wedding Bay wedding.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes.
- 22:31Speaker 3: And like I remember that day because in my mind
- 22:36Speaker 3: and I even said this to Katie, I was like,
- 22:38Speaker 3: this is your karma bitch for.
- 22:41Speaker 2: You bang man Timmy calling me a whore. Oh my god,
- 22:44Speaker 2: because she laughed. I was like, you gotta redo and
- 22:47Speaker 2: now I get.
- 22:47Speaker 1: To be there, and she's so amazing. That's amazing, Like
- 22:51Speaker 1: it was.
- 22:52Speaker 2: So much fun and it was like sort of like gimmicky.
- 22:55Speaker 1: Yeah, but I.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Thought it was so beautiful.
- 22:58Speaker 4: I did too.
- 22:58Speaker 2: I was like just the whole.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Thing of like getting to redo it, like you had
- 23:03Speaker 3: your beautiful, stunning, actual wedding and now you get to
- 23:08Speaker 3: do it, like everybody wants to really.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Do it, you know.
- 23:12Speaker 4: I agree.
- 23:12Speaker 1: I thought I thought there was you know, because they're
- 23:15Speaker 1: already married sort of speak right, and it was like
- 23:18Speaker 1: going there, it was just like have fun, no pressure.
- 23:21Speaker 1: But then then when the actual moment happened, I was
- 23:23Speaker 1: sitting there, I was so moved because I'm like, oh
- 23:26Speaker 1: my god, I'm getting to be here. Well what become
- 23:30Speaker 1: their actual real wedding certificate. So I got emotional because
- 23:34Speaker 1: you know, it was fun going and then it was
- 23:36Speaker 1: like it was like moving.
- 23:37Speaker 4: So I really like it.
- 23:38Speaker 2: But you and I are such pussies. We're like such
- 23:41Speaker 2: suckers for everything.
- 23:43Speaker 3: It's like we managed to turn anything fun into being like, oh.
- 23:48Speaker 2: It's so beautiful.
- 23:50Speaker 3: I know we're definitely we're definitely theater geeks.
- 23:53Speaker 1: You can talk. You know, I agree, I agree with
- 23:57Speaker 1: you and I own that. And uh, I mean you
- 24:01Speaker 1: you love to torture me. When I'm watching commercials and
- 24:03Speaker 1: I get emotional. You're like, are you crying? Like leave
- 24:05Speaker 1: me alone?
- 24:05Speaker 6: Oh?
- 24:05Speaker 3: No, you cry more than I do. Yeah, okay, So
- 24:07Speaker 3: I have a question for you. Yes, now you know,
- 24:11Speaker 3: Dana and Max have.
- 24:13Speaker 2: Like parted ways and now she's starting to date. Okay, Brett,
- 24:18Speaker 2: Oh she is okay, yes, Oh?
- 24:21Speaker 3: Is there a bro code when it comes to that,
- 24:24Speaker 3: because this is the thing, Like Dana and Max they
- 24:28Speaker 3: were exclusive. However, Max doesn't know what exclusive means. She's like, yeah,
- 24:33Speaker 3: we're exclusive, but we're not like boyfriend and girlfriend.
- 24:35Speaker 2: It's like, okay, well that means exclusive.
- 24:40Speaker 3: And so if you are with a chick and you're
- 24:43Speaker 3: not treating her correctly and someone else swoops in, who
- 24:47Speaker 3: happens to be your friend? Like is there a bro
- 24:49Speaker 3: code or is it like, dude, you fucked up?
- 24:52Speaker 1: They're good friends, the two of them, like they're.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Brett, Yeah, I mean from what I've seen, I don't Again,
- 24:59Speaker 3: I don't know them super well, but they they're like.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Boys, you know.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Okay, here's a thing. I mean, at least when I
- 25:05Speaker 1: was younger and all my buddies were all single, there
- 25:10Speaker 1: is definitely a bro code, like you would never go
- 25:13Speaker 1: out with the girl that one of your best friends
- 25:18Speaker 1: or buddies went out with, no matter what the situation was.
- 25:20Speaker 1: So but again, I don't know if they're like really
- 25:23Speaker 1: good friends or they're just work acquaintances. So I kind
- 25:27Speaker 1: of like i'd have to know.
- 25:28Speaker 3: More, let's say middle of the ground, like they're friends,
- 25:31Speaker 3: Like they're not best friends, but they're more than just
- 25:34Speaker 3: like work buddies.
- 25:35Speaker 1: Oh if they're more than work buddies. And he didn't ask,
- 25:37Speaker 1: that's a violation. Really yeah, that's a violation.
- 25:40Speaker 2: Oh yeah, okay, well.
- 25:43Speaker 4: Most guys will tell you that.
- 25:44Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't. I mean, at least all
- 25:46Speaker 1: my friends, like you know, we we over the years
- 25:49Speaker 1: back in the day, you know, we all cross paths
- 25:51Speaker 1: with each other and stuff, and there were moments where
- 25:54Speaker 1: somebody would come to me or I would go to
- 25:55Speaker 1: them and I'd say, hey, you know, what was the situation,
- 25:57Speaker 1: And so I definitely think it's a viol if they're
- 26:01Speaker 1: more than just coworkers.
- 26:03Speaker 4: Yes, that's a violation.
- 26:07Speaker 3: And this whole time that all of this stuff was
- 26:10Speaker 3: going down with so at the pool little get together
- 26:15Speaker 3: with just myself, Arianna and Dana, Dana had said like,
- 26:20Speaker 3: I'm not Brett's type, and I was like, you have
- 26:22Speaker 3: to get that out of your head, Like you have
- 26:24Speaker 3: a vagina, You're everyone's type, all right.
- 26:27Speaker 2: I was like, you're hot and have a badge. You're
- 26:29Speaker 2: everyone's type, bench whether you like it or not.
- 26:32Speaker 3: And I think that like people saying he's not my
- 26:35Speaker 3: type or she's not my type is so stupid because
- 26:39Speaker 3: in all honesty, if we're just going off types, like
- 26:42Speaker 3: I was not your type when we met, you were
- 26:45Speaker 3: not my type, correct, I had tattoos, I was like craziness,
- 26:51Speaker 3: and you were usually dating more of like submissive people.
- 26:56Speaker 3: And we looked through more than just like what our
- 27:01Speaker 3: norm was, because obviously what we were used to wasn't
- 27:04Speaker 3: fucking working.
- 27:05Speaker 2: You know, like, where is your type now?
- 27:09Speaker 1: But that's I think that's the point in this, is
- 27:11Speaker 1: that when you fall for somebody, there's no such thing
- 27:15Speaker 1: as a type.
- 27:15Speaker 4: I used to think it, I think probably.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Like you did. But yeah, the reality is you're right
- 27:20Speaker 1: that the right person is the right person and whether
- 27:23Speaker 1: their personality and physical is completely different than what you
- 27:27Speaker 1: think is your type.
- 27:28Speaker 4: It's the soul with any you know.
- 27:31Speaker 1: And I think, like you and I on paper, of
- 27:34Speaker 1: what we think our type was, probably exactly wasn't, like
- 27:38Speaker 1: you said, And here we are, you know, getting married.
- 27:40Speaker 1: So I agree with you that people should just get
- 27:43Speaker 1: out of that whole type bullshit because until you know
- 27:46Speaker 1: somebody and until you spend time with them, like I've
- 27:49Speaker 1: had more fun with you than I've had with anybody
- 27:51Speaker 1: in my entire life, right, And and what if my
- 27:53Speaker 1: mom always tell you, she tells you my son has
- 27:55Speaker 1: never I've never seen him more attentive ever in his
- 27:59Speaker 1: life life. And I call it more at attention because
- 28:03Speaker 1: you're like a military sergeant. So I would just say
- 28:06Speaker 1: that that, But that's because I love you and I
- 28:08Speaker 1: and I and I care about everything that you you know,
- 28:13Speaker 1: feel and think, and I know you feel the same.
- 28:15Speaker 1: So I just think people should stop with the type
- 28:17Speaker 1: thing because you can miss out on something really magical.
- 28:21Speaker 2: And I want to say this as well, Actually two things.
- 28:25Speaker 3: Number one, everyone and I remember being this way like
- 28:28Speaker 3: before I met you, I was like, oh, like, Katie
- 28:30Speaker 3: doesn't have sex with her man, Like I am totally
- 28:33Speaker 3: out there and sexual. And so when I hear people
- 28:36Speaker 3: talk like that, now, I'm like, you have no idea, Like,
- 28:39Speaker 3: you have to go beyond that, because that shit does fade.
- 28:44Speaker 3: Life gets in the way, people get stressed, you have
- 28:46Speaker 3: kids in the mix, Like, you have to have all
- 28:49Speaker 3: your boxes checked, not just you have to.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Know you know what it is.
- 28:53Speaker 4: You have to know that the person you're with.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Yeah, the sex is always awesome and it's great, but
- 28:59Speaker 1: you can can't drive a relationship out of sex because
- 29:02Speaker 1: people of people who do that, they end up either
- 29:05Speaker 1: divorced or broken up in a relationship within.
- 29:08Speaker 3: And when you and I first got together, we were
- 29:11Speaker 3: like little jack rabbit up.
- 29:14Speaker 1: All right, Well here's the thing. We're all so busy.
- 29:18Speaker 1: You travel, you work, you got kids, blah blah blah
- 29:20Speaker 1: blah blah, and you gotta find time. Look at us.
- 29:22Speaker 1: We actually pick days. You and I.
- 29:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I look at my book. I'm like, hey, are
- 29:27Speaker 2: you free Saturday at seven pm?
- 29:29Speaker 4: Oh?
- 29:29Speaker 1: By the way, Oh my god, I have to tell
- 29:32Speaker 1: you something exciting when you come home this week. Oh,
- 29:35Speaker 1: you're going to be so excited. This will play into
- 29:36Speaker 1: helping us continue our focus. I put a new door
- 29:41Speaker 1: in the master with a lock. Yes, we want to
- 29:46Speaker 1: have so we want to have date night. Now we
- 29:48Speaker 1: just lock that bitch and we.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Go lock that bitch. I love it.
- 29:54Speaker 3: The second thing I want to say, because before we
- 29:56Speaker 3: go to our voicemails, I always talk about the new cast,
- 30:00Speaker 3: like our new cast members.
- 30:02Speaker 2: I put cast in quotes because they still.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Haven't earned their place as a commercial because that's what
- 30:06Speaker 3: they are. Except Dana, Max and Brett I think are
- 30:12Speaker 3: a graded audition, like Dana and Max five star.
- 30:16Speaker 2: Throw them on the squad, like, let's do the damn
- 30:19Speaker 2: thing amazing. So whenever I refer to the new.
- 30:22Speaker 4: Cast, you're not referring to them anymore.
- 30:24Speaker 2: I'm not Dana is my rider dyed dog.
- 30:26Speaker 4: Because I want to I want to add to that.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I always wonder that when you would just terrorize, you know,
- 30:32Speaker 1: these general new casts.
- 30:33Speaker 4: And you and demolish them.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:36Speaker 1: I always thought that you had Dana and Max sever
- 30:38Speaker 1: because I know you're friends with both of them, and
- 30:40Speaker 1: you spend a lot of time with them. Yeah not
- 30:42Speaker 1: a lot, I mean not a lot, but you you
- 30:44Speaker 1: respect them like I know when you're with them, you
- 30:46Speaker 1: really like it.
- 30:47Speaker 2: I feel like they're a part of vander Pump rules.
- 30:49Speaker 4: That's cool.
- 30:49Speaker 2: I don't fast forward through their shit.
- 30:50Speaker 4: Yeah, that's that's cool.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I like that because I know that you have respect
- 30:54Speaker 1: for both of them, and that's really kind coming from
- 30:57Speaker 1: an ERG, coming from an OG.
- 30:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm an OG. And then they're o gs and
- 31:00Speaker 2: then O O g's.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Here's here's a question. Before we go to break. We
- 31:03Speaker 1: gotta go one more break and then we'll come back
- 31:05Speaker 1: with questions. Am I considered new cast or am I
- 31:09Speaker 1: considered special edition because I'm your fiance?
- 31:11Speaker 3: No, You're like on the sitcoms when they have and
- 31:14Speaker 3: a special guest featured, you know, and everyone when they
- 31:17Speaker 3: walk on the screen, they're like, yeah, you know, I'll
- 31:21Speaker 3: take that.
- 31:21Speaker 4: I'll take that.
- 31:22Speaker 1: I'll take that. All right, we're gonna run. We're gonna
- 31:24Speaker 1: go to break real quick. We're gonna come back. We're
- 31:25Speaker 1: gonna answer a lot of questions.
- 31:26Speaker 3: All right, Okay, hello, everybody, It is yours truly.
- 31:33Speaker 4: La La kent with Ran and we are back.
- 31:36Speaker 3: It's weird because today I would officially be able to
- 31:39Speaker 3: call you my husband, but I'm still going to call
- 31:40Speaker 3: you my fiance.
- 31:44Speaker 1: We were boy for a girl for a long time
- 31:46Speaker 1: and they're holding us down on the fiance trip. But
- 31:48Speaker 1: they will get them in the end. We'll get them
- 31:50Speaker 1: in the end.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 31:52Speaker 3: So we have some fun questions, yep, okay, and I'm
- 31:56Speaker 3: gonna start us off with one of someone slit in
- 31:59Speaker 3: my DMS.
- 32:00Speaker 2: Actually with this epic question.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Okay, let's here, Okay, okay, girl. This question is for
- 32:06Speaker 3: your podcast. It's a little personal and it's not for everyone,
- 32:10Speaker 3: which is why I'm writing you. You have talked a
- 32:13Speaker 3: little bit about your relationship with Rand and your life
- 32:15Speaker 3: outside of vander Pump. Do y'all have a dom slash
- 32:18Speaker 3: sub relationship or daddy slash little relationship? I have a
- 32:22Speaker 3: very amazing relationship with my husband, who is sixteen years
- 32:25Speaker 3: older than me, and when y'all talk, it reminds me
- 32:27Speaker 3: of a similar thing. I love that you have a podcast,
- 32:31Speaker 3: Keep on Keeping On, girl, So we won't be able
- 32:33Speaker 3: to play this because it's not a recording, this is
- 32:36Speaker 3: a DM.
- 32:36Speaker 2: But I loved the question.
- 32:38Speaker 4: Oh, I love that question.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Do we have a daddy slash little relationship?
- 32:42Speaker 4: No?
- 32:43Speaker 1: No, no, absolutely not.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Now I don't knock it. I don't knock anyone who
- 32:48Speaker 2: does have a daddy.
- 32:49Speaker 1: No no, no, no, no, no no, But I'm not knocking no,
- 32:51Speaker 1: hold on. I want to be clear, I'm not knocking
- 32:52Speaker 1: anybody's relationship. I just feel that you, honestly, and I'm
- 32:56Speaker 1: gonna really I say this with sincerity. You are way
- 33:01Speaker 1: too tough for this to be any kind of other
- 33:04Speaker 1: relationship than equal we are. I just feel like we're partners,
- 33:09Speaker 1: you know, through and through, and you know that's I
- 33:12Speaker 1: don't know.
- 33:12Speaker 4: I don't see that.
- 33:13Speaker 2: I don't see that either.
- 33:14Speaker 3: And also, I feel like Randall is very immature or
- 33:20Speaker 3: forty nine year old, and I'm I don't want to
- 33:24Speaker 3: say I'm mature for a twenty nine year old, I
- 33:26Speaker 3: kind of act act twenty nine.
- 33:29Speaker 1: Here's how I like to I like to classify you.
- 33:31Speaker 1: I think you're immature in all the best ways, like
- 33:34Speaker 1: life and fun, but when it comes to taking care
- 33:38Speaker 1: of our house, make sure the kids do their school work,
- 33:41Speaker 1: making sure we eat good, you are very mature when
- 33:44Speaker 1: it comes to real life issues, and that's great for me,
- 33:48Speaker 1: and I consider myself more of a passionate person.
- 33:53Speaker 2: Yeah, we meet each other in the middle yeah, but
- 33:56Speaker 2: you are.
- 33:56Speaker 1: You are very mature and the important things in life,
- 33:59Speaker 1: and you're still very playful and immature in the fun
- 34:01Speaker 1: part of life.
- 34:02Speaker 4: So I think you have a great balance.
- 34:04Speaker 1: But I think you and I are really teammates and
- 34:08Speaker 1: very equal. I told you the day I met you
- 34:10Speaker 1: that I always look at you as my partner, and
- 34:13Speaker 1: that's how I'm always gonna look at you.
- 34:14Speaker 3: Yeah, we could never have a dom sub relationship because
- 34:18Speaker 3: I am everything but submissive like that. I remember my
- 34:24Speaker 3: mom as a kid talking about submissive women and I
- 34:29Speaker 3: remember just being like, oh, I can never be that
- 34:33Speaker 3: unless it's I'm like role playing.
- 34:35Speaker 4: No, if you're a role playing that's one thing.
- 34:36Speaker 1: But let me just tell you in your list of qualities, yeah,
- 34:41Speaker 1: you don't even know how to spell the words submissive.
- 34:43Speaker 1: So we'll just move on from that work because that's
- 34:45Speaker 1: not who you.
- 34:45Speaker 2: Are, right.
- 34:46Speaker 1: But I love the strong woman that you are and
- 34:50Speaker 1: what you stand for, so I would not want to
- 34:53Speaker 1: change one thing.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Okay, next voicemail, Hi Lala and Randall.
- 34:58Speaker 7: My name is Jordans. I'm from Vancouver, British Columbia. My
- 35:03Speaker 7: question is for La La. I've been watching Vanderpump Rules
- 35:06Speaker 7: since I was probably in grade ten, and you've always
- 35:11Speaker 7: been my favorite. My question is a lot of the
- 35:14Speaker 7: newbies as you call them this season, seem to be
- 35:18Speaker 7: talking a lot of smack in their personal little diary
- 35:23Speaker 7: room stories, and I'm wondering does that affect any relationship
- 35:27Speaker 7: you or your other castmates have with them in real
- 35:30Speaker 7: life or is it all good? Once again, I love
- 35:34Speaker 7: watching you on the show, and I love how Randall's
- 35:36Speaker 7: in it as well, and I get fear relationship, and
- 35:39Speaker 7: I also love the podcast.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Oh Jordan, Jordan from Vancouver, No, you know what I've
- 35:48Speaker 3: noticed too, Like all of these little newbies talk mad shit,
- 35:53Speaker 3: like I think Danica like slammed me for something and
- 35:57Speaker 3: slammed stassy and I I didn't have been more not interested.
- 36:03Speaker 3: It was like, okay, well this is like she I know,
- 36:09Speaker 3: Like I'm so unaffected. Here's when I get affected when
- 36:12Speaker 3: I have a Jennifer Lawrence coming for me.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Affected Dana Cadeau.
- 36:18Speaker 3: Fucking walk in the park like no need Like it
- 36:22Speaker 3: doesn't affect me at all. I just look at it
- 36:24Speaker 3: as like, okay, like she needs more than sixteen thousand followers.
- 36:28Speaker 3: I get it, Like so she tags me, let her
- 36:31Speaker 3: get amazingly twenty more and.
- 36:34Speaker 1: I move on.
- 36:35Speaker 3: Wow, okay, like Stassy, I would say I'm more sensitive
- 36:39Speaker 3: than Stacy Stacy sometimes, like if I see a DM
- 36:43Speaker 3: from someone that's me and she's like, law, please let
- 36:46Speaker 3: it go, Like who is this person from Bump fuck Wisconsin?
- 36:49Speaker 3: Not that there's anything wrong. I love cheese, I actually
- 36:54Speaker 3: love Wisconsin, but you know what I mean, she's just saying,
- 36:57Speaker 3: like this person who like doesn't you're no, I don't know.
- 37:01Speaker 1: You, but what have I said to you? Always? I've
- 37:05Speaker 1: watched you over fourty years where some days you just
- 37:08Speaker 1: wake up and you're you know, you're you're a sensitive person.
- 37:10Speaker 1: And some days you wake up and and you're more
- 37:12Speaker 1: effective than others. And I see you going I said,
- 37:15Speaker 1: what are you reading, babe? And you're like this mother fucker,
- 37:18Speaker 1: this person talking shit and insulting us or blah blah blah,
- 37:22Speaker 1: and and and I'll say, well, babe, let it go.
- 37:24Speaker 1: But I'm the same way. I call you some days
- 37:26Speaker 1: and you're like, han, what are you doing? I'm like,
- 37:28Speaker 1: this person has the dacy to insult my physical occurrence.
- 37:32Speaker 3: And you're like, well, because Randall, but we're people, we're people.
- 37:37Speaker 1: But they think like we're robots or something. It's like, dude,
- 37:39Speaker 1: we also are human beings. Like why, like, if you
- 37:43Speaker 1: don't like it, here's my thing about social media. If
- 37:46Speaker 1: you don't like us and follow us, why do you
- 37:49Speaker 1: have to be insulting and mean? It's so disgusting? I
- 37:52Speaker 1: don't know, so I attack.
- 37:53Speaker 4: Back sometimes I do. I'm guilty.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Yeah, there was this girl who slid in my DM
- 37:57Speaker 3: and I read it to Madison last night and she
- 38:00Speaker 3: was just berating me, like my sobriety, calling me a
- 38:02Speaker 3: dry drunk, like the way you treat people, blah blah blah.
- 38:05Speaker 2: And so I responded, I was like, babe, could you
- 38:07Speaker 2: please fuck off?
- 38:09Speaker 4: Wow?
- 38:09Speaker 3: And she responded, she goes mature response and in my head,
- 38:14Speaker 3: in my head, I didn't I didn't even need to
- 38:16Speaker 3: respond because it's like, what kind of response were you
- 38:20Speaker 3: looking for? Just like just like an explanation, who are you?
- 38:24Speaker 3: I will never meet you. I've already deleted the DM.
- 38:27Speaker 3: I couldn't even tell you her name or what she
- 38:28Speaker 3: looked like. Like, the only response you deserve for an
- 38:31Speaker 3: email or a DM like that to someone you don't
- 38:34Speaker 3: know is like fuck off.
- 38:36Speaker 1: Yeah, I listen, I get it. Too, and I never
- 38:40Speaker 1: but I never got it till I till I.
- 38:41Speaker 4: Started dating you.
- 38:43Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, no, it's okay. But when I see it,
- 38:46Speaker 1: and I'm like, why are you talking? Like why if
- 38:49Speaker 1: you don't like me or you don't like something about me,
- 38:52Speaker 1: why do you feel the need to like if you
- 38:54Speaker 1: don't have something nice to say, don't text at all?
- 38:58Speaker 3: You know what, Like back in the day, Italian men
- 39:02Speaker 3: were super fat, and that's how you knew they were loaded,
- 39:05Speaker 3: like super rich, because you knew like, oh, they're eaten good.
- 39:09Speaker 4: So like you know, yeah, there we go. So I'm
- 39:12Speaker 4: an Italian fat man.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Well well, I'm just saying, like, when did this become
- 39:18Speaker 3: like something where it was like we all sit here
- 39:20Speaker 3: and it's projected all the time, like don't body shame,
- 39:23Speaker 3: don't do this, and then all of these people do
- 39:25Speaker 3: exactly that.
- 39:26Speaker 1: But that's what I understand it. It's like insulting somebody.
- 39:29Speaker 1: Thank God, I'm a confident, successful man and I really
- 39:33Speaker 1: don't give a shit what somebody says. At the end
- 39:34Speaker 1: of the day, I just like to give it back
- 39:36Speaker 1: so they feel but and two wrongs don't make it right.
- 39:38Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, like who gives
- 39:41Speaker 1: you the authority on what is okay and what's not?
- 39:45Speaker 1: And I just think people have really lost their way.
- 39:47Speaker 1: I will say one thing during this quarantine time, I
- 39:50Speaker 1: have found less of the negative. Do you notice that? Yeah,
- 39:54Speaker 1: I feel like people have really rechecked themselves. And I
- 39:57Speaker 1: really hope we come out of this quarantine that people
- 40:00Speaker 1: have more appreciation or kinder because we you know, hopefully
- 40:05Speaker 1: people got a little smacked down the ones that were
- 40:07Speaker 1: out of line, you know, and hopefully they change it
- 40:09Speaker 1: to Let's hear another.
- 40:10Speaker 3: Question though, Okay, let me give another question, let me find.
- 40:14Speaker 7: One hilt with rand. I'm Marilynn.
- 40:17Speaker 8: I just wanted to call in and say I'm loving
- 40:20Speaker 8: the podcast and getting to know you guys as a couple.
- 40:24Speaker 8: It's really really cool.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Rand.
- 40:26Speaker 8: Yes, you have a great voice. I love it, and
- 40:29Speaker 8: I just wanted to call because to say I love
- 40:32Speaker 8: you guys, I love the podcast, and ask you a
- 40:35Speaker 8: quick question. So I was just wondering, Randall, what are
- 40:39Speaker 8: your top five must watch films? Some that you've showed
- 40:43Speaker 8: to La lat or not, and some that you think
- 40:46Speaker 8: everyone should watch. So hope to hear from you guys,
- 40:49Speaker 8: and can't wait to keep listening.
- 40:51Speaker 2: Ooh, this is a good question. I want to know too.
- 40:53Speaker 4: That's a really good question.
- 40:55Speaker 2: Top five movies.
- 40:56Speaker 1: That's tough for me because I'm such a movie geek,
- 40:58Speaker 1: but I will I will try to pick five that
- 41:01Speaker 1: I think are diverse because I have so many. Number
- 41:05Speaker 1: one for me is always going to be Scarface al Pacino.
- 41:09Speaker 1: I think that Gladiator is one of the greatest movies
- 41:12Speaker 1: of all time. Okay, I think Goodfellas is one of
- 41:17Speaker 1: the greatest movies of all time. On a lighter note,
- 41:21Speaker 1: I would pick well, I would say Casta Blanca that
- 41:25Speaker 1: everybody should see. That's four, okay, and then five the Notebook.
- 41:30Speaker 1: I think those are five of the really, you know,
- 41:32Speaker 1: those are very Those are five different kinds of movies.
- 41:36Speaker 1: And I, you know, I want to be diverse because
- 41:38Speaker 1: I lean towards more action, tough guy films.
- 41:41Speaker 3: But the movies like Randal and I always have the
- 41:44Speaker 3: hardest time picking a movie because I like comedy and
- 41:47Speaker 3: light and fun, and he's always like, let's watch this
- 41:50Speaker 3: really depressing movie.
- 41:53Speaker 4: I like, you like Will Ferrell Adams.
- 41:59Speaker 1: I mean, I I love comedy too, but I don't
- 42:01Speaker 1: love it as much as I like the more dramatic stuff.
- 42:04Speaker 3: Yeah, like I I fall asleep to with my EarPods
- 42:09Speaker 3: in to Seinfeld, Like that's what makes me calm and
- 42:13Speaker 3: go to sleep.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Well, you actually made me walk out of one of
- 42:15Speaker 1: the greatest American Broadway plays with the biggest movie star
- 42:19Speaker 1: in the world because you're you couldn't take it the
- 42:22Speaker 1: heavy how dark and heavy it was.
- 42:24Speaker 4: Do you remember that?
- 42:25Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 42:26Speaker 3: I was like, and that was during my time that
- 42:29Speaker 3: I was trying not to drink, and I was like
- 42:31Speaker 3: trying to like make you think I wasn't liking to drink,
- 42:34Speaker 3: and all I wanted was to like sneak a fucking cocktail.
- 42:38Speaker 1: You know.
- 42:38Speaker 2: I was like, this is not good.
- 42:41Speaker 3: Get me to a place where I can sneak an
- 42:43Speaker 3: alcoholic beverage.
- 42:44Speaker 1: Oh my Okay, that's not where I was going with this,
- 42:47Speaker 1: But thank you for that for me.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Well, I'm just sharing.
- 42:50Speaker 1: Sharing is caring, okay anyway, But I do agree that
- 42:56Speaker 1: you're not good with the heavier stuff. That's why you
- 42:58Speaker 1: binge watch every night Friends and Seinfeld, which, by the way,
- 43:03Speaker 1: you got me enthusiasm. Can I tell you I bought
- 43:06Speaker 1: you a gift today. It's not an emotional gifts it's
- 43:09Speaker 1: not a heavy gift. It's actually light. So I just
- 43:13Speaker 1: I can't keep a secret, you know, I suck at that.
- 43:15Speaker 2: Tell me, tell me what my gift is.
- 43:16Speaker 1: I bought the turkey on the stick? What from Friends?
- 43:20Speaker 2: Are you fucking serious?
- 43:21Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 43:21Speaker 4: It comes in four days.
- 43:23Speaker 2: Wait, the turkey on the stick.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like a big turkey, fake turkey on a
- 43:27Speaker 1: stick from Friends and and uh and.
- 43:30Speaker 2: It says wait, the one that he put on his head.
- 43:33Speaker 1: I don't know where he put it, but and it
- 43:34Speaker 1: says property a Warner Brothers on it like one of three. No, wait, yesterday.
- 43:42Speaker 3: That is the best gift out of everything I've ever
- 43:45Speaker 3: gone Chanelle's Burgin's cars, that is what.
- 43:49Speaker 4: That's the best.
- 43:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 43:52Speaker 4: Oh shit, I have to keep going in the future
- 43:54Speaker 4: with this. Now, I've always known this.
- 43:56Speaker 2: I'm easy to please.
- 43:57Speaker 3: I come off as being very difficult and boots, but
- 44:00Speaker 3: I'm like easy peasy.
- 44:02Speaker 1: No. I thought you'd like this, and I thought it
- 44:03Speaker 1: would be a fun, lighthearted thing during these times.
- 44:06Speaker 4: So yes, it'll be here this week.
- 44:08Speaker 2: That is gangster.
- 44:10Speaker 3: So, since you are looking like the podcast king and
- 44:14Speaker 3: I'm just doing this via FaceTime, would you like to

- 45:38Speaker 6: know how that.
- 45:39Speaker 7: Is with kids.
- 45:41Speaker 1: It's crazy. Anyway, I love you both.
- 45:45Speaker 6: You're awesome, and keep up the good words.
