- 0:04Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to the Reality TV Grunge Podcast. I
- 0:10Speaker 1: am one of your hosts, Beatrice, and normally I have
- 0:14Speaker 1: my mother in law, Delia, over here with me, but
- 0:18Speaker 1: she's not here and it's just me holding down the fort,
- 0:21Speaker 1: so you're gonna have to deal with it. I know
- 0:24Speaker 1: it's just me. I'm cool too, though, but Delia is
- 0:28Speaker 1: still recovering from her surgery that she had a couple
- 0:31Speaker 1: weeks ago, so she's okay. I don't want anybody to
- 0:34Speaker 1: worry about her or anything like that, but she just
- 0:36Speaker 1: still needs her rest and we just didn't want to
- 0:38Speaker 1: cancel on you guys again this week. So I'm here
- 0:41Speaker 1: holding down the fort and I'm going to cover Special
- 0:44Speaker 1: Forces by myself. This horseshit, So you're just gonna deal
- 0:49Speaker 1: with it. It's gonna be a little bit of a
- 0:51Speaker 1: different vibe. I'm sorry about that, but you're stuck with me. Okay,
- 0:55Speaker 1: So hija wive hyda kids, I'm dumb. I swear a lot,

- 1:38Speaker 1: getting shadow bands. So do all the things. We love you. Now,
- 1:42Speaker 1: let's get into this shit. Okay, Special Forces. So we're
- 1:46Speaker 1: on season four, episode seven. We haven't really covered this
- 1:50Speaker 1: show like too rigidly the last couple weeks, really because
- 1:54Speaker 1: Cody hasn't been on it, and like neither of us
- 1:56Speaker 1: are really that interested in the rest of the characters
- 1:59Speaker 1: or the re of the show for that matter. But
- 2:02Speaker 1: this week it was a very Cody centric episode, so
- 2:05Speaker 1: of course we have to talk about it. And it
- 2:07Speaker 1: was so infuriating because Cody is just completely performing, like
- 2:12Speaker 1: he's just putting on a show for everybody, trying to
- 2:16Speaker 1: act like he's on some redemption arc in his life
- 2:19Speaker 1: and trying to take accountability, and I hate it. It's
- 2:23Speaker 1: so fake, it's so inauthentic, and I don't believe a
- 2:26Speaker 1: single thing that he says, Like I don't even believe
- 2:28Speaker 1: his tears that he's crying later in this episode. It's
- 2:30Speaker 1: just ridiculous. So I want to get I won't get
- 2:34Speaker 1: into all of the details of the episode because quite frankly,
- 2:37Speaker 1: I don't remember them. But we have like six people
- 2:40Speaker 1: left on the show. It's only been about a week.
- 2:45Speaker 1: We lost like two people in this episode for medical reasons.
- 2:48Speaker 1: They just left, like one of them had a cough,
- 2:50Speaker 1: couldn't do any of the other exercises. One guy his
- 2:53Speaker 1: ear hurt so he had to go see an E
- 2:55Speaker 1: and T surgeon and he had to leave. And so
- 2:57Speaker 1: now we have six people that remain. And then we
- 3:00Speaker 1: have this like hostage scenario thing that they do where
- 3:08Speaker 1: they're all in pairs and the purpose of this exercise
- 3:14Speaker 1: is to rescue a hostage in a building that is
- 3:18Speaker 1: about to explode in two minutes or less. And also,
- 3:23Speaker 1: in addition to rescuing that hostage, you have to grab
- 3:27Speaker 1: a critical asset, which is just like a suitcase in
- 3:30Speaker 1: this building that's about to explode, and So we start
- 3:33Speaker 1: off with Cody and as partner, I forget her name.
- 3:36Speaker 1: She's some Olympic gymnast or whatever. And Cody completely messes
- 3:43Speaker 1: up the entire course, which I love that for him.
- 3:46Speaker 1: I love to watch him fail. Maybe that makes me
- 3:48Speaker 1: a terrible person. I don't give a fuck, but like
- 3:51Speaker 1: I love to watch him flounder and fail. So they
- 3:55Speaker 1: get into this burning building and Cody immediately like a
- 4:00Speaker 1: bandons his partner. He's like not communicating with her whatsoever.
- 4:04Speaker 1: He's flailing around. He doesn't know what he's doing, he
- 4:07Speaker 1: doesn't know what he's looking for. He's trying to find
- 4:09Speaker 1: the hostage because he thinks that that's the most important thing.
- 4:12Speaker 1: But then they have to like go through a portion
- 4:14Speaker 1: of the building that's like filled with smoke, and he
- 4:17Speaker 1: has to put like a gas mask on and he
- 4:19Speaker 1: finds a hostage. He doesn't put a gas mask on
- 4:22Speaker 1: the hostage, and then he also doesn't give a shit
- 4:26Speaker 1: about his partner, who is just trying to figure out
- 4:29Speaker 1: what the hell Cody is doing. Like Cody again is
- 4:31Speaker 1: not communicating anything. He grabs a hostage, doesn't put a
- 4:35Speaker 1: gas mask on him, so he essentially doesn't care about
- 4:38Speaker 1: this hostage's life, and Cody forgets about the critical asset,
- 4:42Speaker 1: forgets about his partner. He straight up leaves the building
- 4:45Speaker 1: with his fake hostage and leaves his partner behind. Doesn't
- 4:49Speaker 1: even know where she's at. She's trying to find the
- 4:51Speaker 1: critical asset. She misses the time limit or something. I think,
- 4:55Speaker 1: the building fake explodes and she failed the test as well.
- 4:59Speaker 1: And she gets out of the building to find Cody
- 5:03Speaker 1: outside with the hostage without her, and she was like,
- 5:06Speaker 1: what the fuck, dude, Like you left me in there,
- 5:09Speaker 1: and he's like, yeah, sorry about it. I totally failed. Sorry,
- 5:13Speaker 1: I didn't communicate. And she's like, yeah, you fucking think.
- 5:15Speaker 1: And then Cody and his partner get yelled at by
- 5:19Speaker 1: the staff. And I did enjoy Cody getting yelled at.
- 5:22Speaker 1: That was great. And they just basically tell him that
- 5:24Speaker 1: he was a total failure because that he is, and
- 5:27Speaker 1: that he didn't communicate and that he sucks big fat
- 5:33Speaker 1: I'm kidding, but that's essentially what they said to him,
- 5:35Speaker 1: and I did enjoy that. And then we have some
- 5:39Speaker 1: little scenes here and there throughout the episode where you
- 5:42Speaker 1: see some of the other contestants kind of talking shit
- 5:45Speaker 1: about Cody and like how they think he's really annoying
- 5:49Speaker 1: and he just talks a lot and he makes everything
- 5:51Speaker 1: about himself, and I did enjoy that. I loved seeing
- 5:54Speaker 1: some of those scenes of people just being like, Oh,
- 5:57Speaker 1: this guy again, he sucks so bad, and like even
- 6:01Speaker 1: this staff doesn't really like Cody. Like Cody. There's a
- 6:05Speaker 1: scene where he has to go request like more toilet
- 6:08Speaker 1: paper or something from the staff, and the staff guys
- 6:11Speaker 1: are like, oh, that fucking I think they called him
- 6:14Speaker 1: like a naked mule rat or something like this guy again,
- 6:17Speaker 1: he's so weird, like and they called him an old guy,
- 6:20Speaker 1: which I did appreciate too. That was pretty funny. So
- 6:23Speaker 1: I did like seeing some of the other people on
- 6:26Speaker 1: the show express their distaste for Cody, because I hope
- 6:33Speaker 1: that Cody like watches that back and feels a little
- 6:37Speaker 1: narcissistic injury to him to his ego. I hope he
- 6:41Speaker 1: cries about it. Again. I know that makes me a
- 6:44Speaker 1: terrible person, but like, Cody needs a taste of his
- 6:47Speaker 1: own medicine. Like he said some of the most heinous,
- 6:50Speaker 1: awful shit about his own family for season upon season
- 6:55Speaker 1: upon season on Sister Wives, So like, you deserve a
- 6:58Speaker 1: little bit coming back at you, you know what I mean.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And so it's obvious that the rest of the people
- 7:03Speaker 1: on the show, they're really not liking having to like
- 7:08Speaker 1: hang out with this guy. They don't like Cody. They
- 7:10Speaker 1: think he's annoying, and I love that. I love that
- 7:12Speaker 1: for me. And then we have somebody who asks Cody
- 7:16Speaker 1: at one point, like the pros and cons of his lifestyle,
- 7:19Speaker 1: meaning polygamy, Like what were the pros and cons of
- 7:22Speaker 1: living that life? And Cody's like, well, you know, I
- 7:25Speaker 1: had eighteen children with four women, so it was a lot.
- 7:29Speaker 1: There was a lot of jealousy and a lot of
- 7:31Speaker 1: like competition and everything. But he would never do it again.
- 7:35Speaker 1: He would never marry again. And I just wanted to
- 7:37Speaker 1: highlight this because he said this with his own words,
- 7:40Speaker 1: that he will never marry again and never live this
- 7:42Speaker 1: lifestyle again. Keep in mind, we're on season twenty of
- 7:47Speaker 1: Sister Wives, and like we still have this running narrative
- 7:50Speaker 1: of like they might do polygamy again, but no, they're
- 7:55Speaker 1: just scared because they can't get a guarantee. But like,
- 7:58Speaker 1: Cody's a monogamous And then we of Cody telling Robin
- 8:01Speaker 1: he got an email from a woman who wants to
- 8:03Speaker 1: be in their life as a Sister Wives like miss
- 8:06Speaker 1: me with this, it's obvious you don't want to be
- 8:08Speaker 1: in this lifestyle ever again because you fucking failed at it, Cody.
- 8:12Speaker 1: So I don't know, I just I didn't like that comment.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Cody also in his talking head in regards to this
- 8:19Speaker 1: conversation about the pros and cons about polygamy, he says
- 8:23Speaker 1: that there ended up being some bad blood with some
- 8:27Speaker 1: of the family after the divorces, and in some cases
- 8:31Speaker 1: with my children, communication has ceased, So that was interesting
- 8:36Speaker 1: for him to admit to that. I know he's kind
- 8:40Speaker 1: of like he's alluded to it on Sister Wives, but
- 8:43Speaker 1: like he doesn't get into enough about it on Sister
- 8:46Speaker 1: Wives to like have an actual good discussion about it,
- 8:49Speaker 1: so he mentions it on Special Forces, and Cody says
- 8:53Speaker 1: that it's a disappointment to not be in contact with
- 8:58Speaker 1: some of his kids, with all of his kids, but
- 9:00Speaker 1: there's some things he just won't own. He'll own where
- 9:05Speaker 1: he should, but he won't own certain things with his kids,
- 9:09Speaker 1: meaning he won't take full responsibility for his bullshit, for
- 9:14Speaker 1: how he treated the wives, how he treated his children,
- 9:17Speaker 1: how he favored Robin and her children. And I just
- 9:21Speaker 1: thought it was interesting that he had the balls to
- 9:26Speaker 1: say something like that on National TV because he's saying
- 9:29Speaker 1: it essentially to his children that may be watching him
- 9:33Speaker 1: on this show right now, Because I know, I think
- 9:36Speaker 1: Gabe is covering this show. At least he was at
- 9:40Speaker 1: the beginning, like when it first aired, he was saying
- 9:42Speaker 1: that he was going to react to some of the
- 9:44Speaker 1: episodes of his dad being on this show. I haven't
- 9:48Speaker 1: watched any of his coverage about it, so I don't
- 9:50Speaker 1: know anything that he's said or what his thoughts are
- 9:53Speaker 1: about it. But like, you know, some of your kids
- 9:55Speaker 1: are watching this code and so for you to say
- 9:57Speaker 1: something like there's just some things I won't own is
- 10:00Speaker 1: really fucked up. It's really fucked up as a parent.
- 10:02Speaker 1: And like I've talked about this on the pod, Like again,
- 10:06Speaker 1: like I have my own issues with some of my family, Okay,
- 10:09Speaker 1: I'm a child of like some dysfunctional things, Okay, And
- 10:16Speaker 1: if my parent said some shit like that on TV, dude,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I would be so no contact. And I'm also the
- 10:22Speaker 1: type where I would call my parent up and I'd
- 10:23Speaker 1: be like fuck you, you suck, Like I can't believe
- 10:27Speaker 1: you fucking said that shit, because it's just so like
- 10:30Speaker 1: it's so selfish, it's so narcissistic, and it's so I
- 10:35Speaker 1: don't know, like irresponsible, Like your kids are hurting. You know,
- 10:39Speaker 1: your kids are hurting because of how the family broke
- 10:41Speaker 1: up and how you mishandled everything, and they're hurting because
- 10:46Speaker 1: like you just don't care. You don't care that you're
- 10:48Speaker 1: not in contact with a lot of your children. Yeah,
- 10:51Speaker 1: you're saying it's a disappointment on Special Forces, but like,
- 10:54Speaker 1: are you doing anything about it? Are you on their
- 10:57Speaker 1: doorstep like Robin says you should be, Are you calling them?
- 11:00Speaker 1: Are you trying to reach out, Are you trying to
- 11:02Speaker 1: say I'm sorry? Are you trying to tell them that
- 11:05Speaker 1: you love them? No, Like you can't even remember all
- 11:07Speaker 1: of your kids's birthdays. You can't even call them to
- 11:09Speaker 1: say happy birthday, which is crazy, So like, I don't
- 11:13Speaker 1: know it. Cody's saying this really pissed me off, and
- 11:16Speaker 1: it gets worse throughout the episode because then he ends
- 11:20Speaker 1: up getting pulled into questioning with the staff and you know,
- 11:24Speaker 1: we have these moments throughout every single episode and like
- 11:28Speaker 1: the whole purpose of like being called into Questioning, right
- 11:31Speaker 1: is to be called out on your shit and to
- 11:35Speaker 1: dig deep, right, Like that's the theme of the show,
- 11:39Speaker 1: is to really test your limits and break your ego basically,
- 11:44Speaker 1: And so you would think that something like this would
- 11:46Speaker 1: be effective for Cody, but no, he's a narcissist. So
- 11:50Speaker 1: you can't really dig deep with somebody and you can't
- 11:52Speaker 1: really break a narcissistic's ego. So when they pull them
- 11:57Speaker 1: into Questioning, they first talk about it in the context
- 12:01Speaker 1: of the show. So they're like, why are you here?
- 12:04Speaker 1: What you're calling? Why do you even want to be here?
- 12:07Speaker 1: It's like, why are you here? We don't want you here?
- 12:10Speaker 1: And Cody says he, you know, he wants to be challenged.
- 12:13Speaker 1: He's happy to be here actually, and he knows that
- 12:17Speaker 1: he failed on the course, but he'll do better again. Coach,
- 12:21Speaker 1: I'll try again, Coach, I'll be better, I promise. But
- 12:25Speaker 1: then it gets into a conversation about his family life.
- 12:29Speaker 1: And this felt very, very produced to me, Like I
- 12:33Speaker 1: didn't find anything that Cody said to be authentic, to
- 12:37Speaker 1: be genuine, or to be coming from a real place whatsoever.
- 12:40Speaker 1: But they bring up his like family, it's the producers,
- 12:46Speaker 1: not sorry not the producers, but the staff are trying
- 12:49Speaker 1: to pretend like they don't know who he is and
- 12:52Speaker 1: like they don't know his past. I feel like most
- 12:54Speaker 1: people know who Cody Brown is, but like I digress,
- 12:58Speaker 1: not everybody can be a rakou and a dumpster apparently,
- 13:01Speaker 1: But they ask him, like what his calling and Cody's like, well,
- 13:06Speaker 1: it was to be a husband and a father, like
- 13:08Speaker 1: I had four wives, I have all of these children.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And the staff pretend to be shocked by that, and
- 13:14Speaker 1: then Cody says like there was a lot of accusations
- 13:17Speaker 1: of favoritism and a lot of jealousy and a lot
- 13:20Speaker 1: of things that like broke up my family. And then
- 13:22Speaker 1: he goes on this like tangent about how he feels
- 13:25Speaker 1: like his kids rejected him, Like what are we living
- 13:33Speaker 1: on the same planet right now? You think your kids
- 13:35Speaker 1: rejected you, bro you rejected them, it's the other way around.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Like how can you be so offended by your children
- 13:42Speaker 1: being hurt by your actions? I just don't understand. He
- 13:46Speaker 1: is so fucking delusional. So he said that he feels
- 13:49Speaker 1: like his kids rejected him. He was offended by what
- 13:53Speaker 1: they did because he gave them all he had and
- 13:56Speaker 1: gave them all the reciprocation that they needed. What are
- 14:02Speaker 1: we serious right now? You're going to act like you
- 14:05Speaker 1: were the father of the Year, and you're offended because
- 14:09Speaker 1: your children don't want to talk to you because you
- 14:11Speaker 1: chose Robin and her children over the rest of the
- 14:15Speaker 1: family that you built up and you brought up. Like, dude,
- 14:19Speaker 1: you're completely delusional. And like even the staff kind of
- 14:22Speaker 1: tried to call him out on this because they can
- 14:24Speaker 1: even see through his narcissism. And one of the staff guys,
- 14:29Speaker 1: I don't remember their names, Okay, so don't come for me.
- 14:31Speaker 1: But like one of the staff guys asks if Cody
- 14:35Speaker 1: is truly taking full responsibility for what had happened, and
- 14:40Speaker 1: Cody says, well, I don't really want to admit that
- 14:43Speaker 1: I'm wrong sometimes, which we have been saying on the
- 14:47Speaker 1: pod since like season seventeen, that like Cody refuses to
- 14:52Speaker 1: be wrong, he refuses to be blamed for anything, Like
- 14:55Speaker 1: he genuinely thinks he's the victim in this entire scenario.
- 14:59Speaker 1: He does not take any accountability whatsoever, and here it
- 15:03Speaker 1: is him admitting it on Special Forces, and he does
- 15:07Speaker 1: say something like, well, I should have had a stronger
- 15:09Speaker 1: relationship with my kids. Okay, well you could try to
- 15:12Speaker 1: do that now, You could try to do that right now.
- 15:15Speaker 1: Otherwise you're just gonna lose all of your children because
- 15:18Speaker 1: you refuse to take ownership for your shit and for
- 15:22Speaker 1: being a terrible parent. Like come on, Cody, you're fifty seven.
- 15:27Speaker 1: You think you would know better, You think you would
- 15:29Speaker 1: have like a little bit, just a little bit of
- 15:31Speaker 1: wisdom at fifty seven. But here we are. And they
- 15:37Speaker 1: ask him like, Okay, you're saying you should have had
- 15:40Speaker 1: a better relationship with your kids. What are you going
- 15:42Speaker 1: to do about it though? And that's exactly what I'm asking,
- 15:44Speaker 1: What are you going to do about it though, Cody?
- 15:47Speaker 1: And this is where Cody cries and let me just
- 15:51Speaker 1: tell you, let me just let me take a sip
- 15:53Speaker 1: of my Coca Cola because I just can't this man
- 16:00Speaker 1: fake cries. He gives a Robin Brown performance on Special Forces,
- 16:05Speaker 1: like barely any tears come out. He's pretending to break down,
- 16:10Speaker 1: and he's like, well, I'm ready to be wrong now,
- 16:14Speaker 1: I'm ready, are you? I feel like this is such
- 16:17Speaker 1: a performance, Like I would love for some of the
- 16:20Speaker 1: older kids to come out and say some shit like
- 16:23Speaker 1: I still haven't heard from my dad in X amount
- 16:25Speaker 1: of years, or like, I still haven't heard from my
- 16:27Speaker 1: dad and however long. So he's on Special Forces saying
- 16:31Speaker 1: he's ready to be wrong and ready to have better
- 16:33Speaker 1: relationships with us, but he's done nothing, Like I would
- 16:36Speaker 1: love love for some of the older kids to call
- 16:39Speaker 1: him out on that. I know we're not going to
- 16:41Speaker 1: get that, but if I was one of these kids,
- 16:43Speaker 1: that's what I would be doing. I would be dragging
- 16:46Speaker 1: my dad through the mud if I could, if Cody
- 16:48Speaker 1: Brown was my dad. Shit. So Cody fake cries and
- 16:53Speaker 1: he says that he thought he did well being a
- 16:56Speaker 1: dad and a husband, which is just again delusional, Like,
- 17:01Speaker 1: how could you think that you did well? I just
- 17:03Speaker 1: I don't. I don't understand with how you went through
- 17:07Speaker 1: three divorces, none of your older kids talk to you.
- 17:11Speaker 1: How could you think you did well? How could you
- 17:13Speaker 1: think you did well? I don't get it. And one
- 17:17Speaker 1: of the staff calls him out for that again, which
- 17:19Speaker 1: I did appreciate, and they said that that's a very adolescent,
- 17:23Speaker 1: immature way of thinking. And Cody's like, okay, well I'll
- 17:26Speaker 1: accept that. No you won't, I'm sure Cody like actually
- 17:29Speaker 1: cried about that comment. Later when he goes to sleep,
- 17:33Speaker 1: he probably cries himself to sleep to that. And then
- 17:35Speaker 1: Cody says he would like to repair the relationships with
- 17:38Speaker 1: all of his family, all of his children, including the
- 17:42Speaker 1: ex wives, which is just a crop of shit because
- 17:48Speaker 1: right after he says that, he says he apologizes to
- 17:52Speaker 1: his kids if he offended or hurt any of them,
- 17:58Speaker 1: if he offended or hurt any of them. So again,
- 18:03Speaker 1: like not sitting in the full weight of his actions
- 18:07Speaker 1: and what he has done. He doesn't think that he
- 18:10Speaker 1: hurt any of them or offended any of them. He
- 18:13Speaker 1: just and like to give this like apology on National
- 18:18Speaker 1: TV is so performative because you know that the real
- 18:23Speaker 1: apologies like aren't happening behind the scenes because he doesn't care.
- 18:27Speaker 1: And that's why this episode was so infuriating to me,
- 18:30Speaker 1: because he talks about his family, he pretends to cry
- 18:35Speaker 1: about the breakdown of his entire family and the breakdown
- 18:39Speaker 1: of his relationships, but like there is no action to
- 18:43Speaker 1: back any of that up. And that's what's frustrating. It's
- 18:47Speaker 1: so grandiose, it's so performative, it's so fake. And then
- 18:53Speaker 1: at the very end of the episode, they have all
- 18:57Speaker 1: of the remaining people write death letters to their family
- 19:01Speaker 1: or loved ones or whatever, because like, if you're in
- 19:04Speaker 1: the military or if you're in the Special Forces, like
- 19:06Speaker 1: you have to write some kind of like letter to
- 19:09Speaker 1: your family or whatever, telling them you know how you
- 19:13Speaker 1: really feel in the case of you not being able
- 19:16Speaker 1: to come home, like if you're on deployment or whatever.
- 19:19Speaker 1: And you know who Cody chooses to write to, like
- 19:22Speaker 1: not his kids, not his family, which was the focus
- 19:25Speaker 1: of this episode, right, which which was him kind of
- 19:30Speaker 1: admitting to his failures as being a bad husband and
- 19:34Speaker 1: a bad father. Like he doesn't write to his family
- 19:36Speaker 1: or anything like that, or his estranged children. No, he
- 19:39Speaker 1: writes to Robin Brown, and he writes this like really
- 19:43Speaker 1: cringey like love letter where he's just like, I love
- 19:47Speaker 1: you so much, baby, I'm like god, like I think
- 19:49Speaker 1: you're the most perfect person ever, and like give my
- 19:52Speaker 1: love to only your children because I don't care about
- 19:54Speaker 1: any of my other kids. And I hope to see
- 19:58Speaker 1: you one day, my sweet queen something like he calls
- 20:00Speaker 1: her my sweet queen. Pewoo, dude, so gross, super cringey.
- 20:06Speaker 1: I just I hated it so much and it again,
- 20:10Speaker 1: Like him choosing to write the letter to Robin just
- 20:13Speaker 1: goes to show like where his real loyalties lie and
- 20:16Speaker 1: where his real feelings lie. Because you can say all
- 20:20Speaker 1: this shit about how you're disappointed that you don't talk
- 20:22Speaker 1: to any of your kids and how you're sad that
- 20:24Speaker 1: you don't get to talk to them and you want
- 20:26Speaker 1: to repair the relationships, but like, when push comes to shove,
- 20:31Speaker 1: you write the letter to your run one and only
- 20:34Speaker 1: beloved Robin and not to anybody else, like not to
- 20:38Speaker 1: any of your stranged kids or anything like that. Like
- 20:40Speaker 1: I don't know, I just felt like that was very
- 20:42Speaker 1: quintessential to who he is as a person, and and
- 20:46Speaker 1: just goes to show that this entire episode and this
- 20:48Speaker 1: entire like season of him being on Special Forces is
- 20:52Speaker 1: completely one hundred percent performative and authentic. He's not digging
- 20:56Speaker 1: deep anywhere, he's not breaking down his ego, he's not
- 21:01Speaker 1: taking any real accountability. And if anybody believes that he is,
- 21:05Speaker 1: I would love to hear your arguments as to why.
- 21:07Speaker 1: But like I could smell this shit from a mile away,
- 21:10Speaker 1: Like he's so full of it, and I'm over it.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I'm sick of it. It was so infuriating to watch
- 21:17Speaker 1: this episode, but I did appreciate seeing people talk shit
- 21:21Speaker 1: about him, and I did appreciate him getting yelled at,
- 21:23Speaker 1: and I did appreciate him being called a total failure.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Oh there was also one little comment, one like little
- 21:30Speaker 1: scene in the middle of this episode I forget, but
- 21:33Speaker 1: like Cody was being such a creep it like goes
- 21:36Speaker 1: up to one of the girls, like when she's like
- 21:38Speaker 1: washing her face outside or whatever, and he's like, man,
- 21:42Speaker 1: you're really clean, you really like take good care of
- 21:45Speaker 1: your hygiene. I'm over here just like letting it all go.
- 21:48Speaker 1: I'm so fucking stinky. It's probably why everyone hates me
- 21:50Speaker 1: because I smell bad. Oh, but like you're like really
- 21:53Speaker 1: clean and you like smell good. Okay bye. Like that
- 21:59Speaker 1: was so weird, dude. And even the girl that he
- 22:02Speaker 1: said that to you, I think her name is Jeane
- 22:03Speaker 1: or something. She was just like the fuck, Like why
- 22:06Speaker 1: are you talking to me? Old man? Like he came
- 22:08Speaker 1: off such like so creepy, such like a creepy old man,
- 22:12Speaker 1: And I love that. I did love that. So I
- 22:16Speaker 1: did love the little moments in the episode where he
- 22:18Speaker 1: got his ass handed to him a little bit but
- 22:22Speaker 1: him performing and trying to go on this redemption arc
- 22:25Speaker 1: and try and take like responsibility when we know he
- 22:29Speaker 1: doesn't actually mean it was really infuriating to watch. I
- 22:32Speaker 1: can't say, like I didn't expect that to happen, because
- 22:35Speaker 1: Cody is a narcissist, so of course, like he'll do
- 22:38Speaker 1: whatever he can to try and rehab his image. But like, man,
- 22:43Speaker 1: isn't annoying to watch. So let us know or let
- 22:45Speaker 1: me know what you guys thought of this episode, and like,
- 22:49Speaker 1: what your thoughts of were of Cody in this performance,
- 22:53Speaker 1: and if you thought any of it was genuine, I
- 22:55Speaker 1: would love to know. I thought it was fake as hell,
- 22:58Speaker 1: and leave some comments below on YouTube if you're watching there,
- 23:03Speaker 1: or like dm me on Instagram at Reality tv Cringe
- 23:06Speaker 1: message Us on Patreon. I would love to know your
- 23:08Speaker 1: thoughts and stick around for later this week. We'll have
- 23:13Speaker 1: a recap of Seeking Sister Wives as well, which I'm
- 23:15Speaker 1: really excited to get into because that shit is so
- 23:18Speaker 1: good and so trashy. So yeah, that's it, and I
- 23:23Speaker 1: love you and by
