- 0:01welcome to multiple nerdgasm with your hosts Matt it's all
- 0:08bit hearty so I don't really understand it Luke is that a little sashwat penis
- 0:14danam I accidentally got soap in my urethra and occasionally Terry smallo
- 0:19maybe you wake up in the middle of the night with a little sashwat pis inside
- 0:23of you multiple nerdgasm your guide to
- 0:28all things
- 0:33nerdy ah how are you guys today pretty good not as good as you I assume no I am
- 0:39wrecked today h what uh what happened to you buddy I went to Wet n Wild with my
- 0:44niece and nephew Ah that's illegal that's not Wet n Wild the club that's
- 0:49Wet n Wild the uh the Water Park the water park oh that makes more sense
- 0:55dosed myself up with a lot of drugs oh yeah this is sounding better and better
- 0:59I was going to say wait were you joking about the water park no
- 1:03no no it's cuz I was going to be in a lot of pain and I am in a lot of pain
- 1:08now oh water park I went on every single attraction at least twice so what you're
- 1:13saying is that you got literally wet and wild yes nice and I'm going to pay for
- 1:20it the rest of the week y when the police turn up yeah so how is that park
- 1:26by the way cuz I I have very little interest in going there um well my niece
- 1:31and nephew they go there a lot they've got one of those season passes but they
- 1:35actually said today was a good day to go because normally the lines are about
- 1:38three times as long and they have to wait like an hour and a half so it's
- 1:42like a water park right it's not like it's not just like going to the local
- 1:44pool it's got It's a water park it's it's weird it's not like water parks I
- 1:49remember when I was growing up what what is it then well I remember growing up
- 1:55when you go on water slides you went by yourself right every single of these
- 2:00slides it's like a four person or two person tube there was no just jumping on
- 2:05down you go whenever I went there was always this old guy there who said no no
- 2:08you've got a ride on my lap oh um I think you went to a different type of
- 2:13park right okay interesting yeah uh I know what you mean though Luke I shot a
- 2:18commercial at a water slide park in Thailand this year oh last year and um
- 2:25there there were somewh you had to double up and triple up there were ones
- 2:29where you could Go On by yourself but even then you still needed a mat or a
- 2:34tube yeah and I recall just sling on down just you know lubing up my body I
- 2:41wasn't there Luke so you must have had a tube yeah there was even this one there
- 2:44was a 360 drop one which is basically I got a board strapped to my back and then
- 2:50I dropped and did a 360 Loop thing just on the ground
- 2:55yeah but yeah everything I had a tube I think it's just safety but I think with
- 3:01the whole two and four person rides I think that's more of a how do we get
- 3:05these people Everyone through faster it's it's harder to molest a kid
- 3:10when they're in a tube I've noticed trust me I'm talking way
- 3:16harder how do you how do you put them how do you ride with more people how how
- 3:20does that work like you have to like it's like a you got to be it's a it's a
- 3:25tube so it's like a four person it doesn't that doesn't help it's like a
- 3:31imagine a two person one would be a figure eight right is that what you mean
- 3:36y yeah yeah so it's basically tubes
- 3:40stuck onto other tubes where everyone is in the center of a little tube that's all joined
- 3:46up oh okay like like an inflatable tube
- 3:51that you ride in a pool okay [ __ ] I had no idea what you were talking about I
- 3:56thought you meant the tube as in the slide itself is is is cylindrical like
- 3:59you ride inside the TU I I didn't know what you meant that's also true yeah
- 4:04yeah okay okay I'm with you now I I was lost I'm sorry it's how I've not been to
- 4:09a water park clearly in a long time nether have I and that's probably
- 4:14the last time I go for another 10 years cuz I'm I'm hurting yeah yeah I didn't I
- 4:21didn't go on any water slides when I was there just want that
- 4:25known I didn't go on any today either I think the next Rider I go on will be in
- 4:31at Disneyland in Japan ah interesting sure they have water slides at
- 4:36Disneyland in Japan or did you just want to mention that you were going to
- 4:39Disneyland in Japan just mentioning dis Japan yeah I've not been to the Japan
- 4:44Disneyland actually no I haven't either I'm going to Disneyland and then I might
- 4:49just call in the Disney World later this year as well oh yeah to Florida why not
- 4:53Mt how many Disney parks have you been to well I've been
- 4:58to the on in California I mean we just
- 5:01talking like location or the themselves uh two I've been to to California and
- 5:07Florida yeah right yeah I've been to two as well I've done two so I'm going to do
- 5:12three this year just bit of one upmanship going on here is there that's fine
- 5:19yep have told Hannah though that we are going in the single Rider lines cuz I
- 5:24hate lining up so so she gets to ride with strangers y right well speaking of
- 5:30one upmanship it seems the Grim Reaper is having some sort of competition this
- 5:35week to see how many beloved famous people he can wipe out yeah that's right
- 5:41and he's doing well he's doing well [ __ ] hell man so we've lost lemy from
- 5:47motohead we've lost Bowie from Bowie yeah and we've lost Rickman from a whole
- 5:54bunch of good movies yeah he just keeps ramping up doesn't he all British and
- 5:59when you come down to it uh Bowie and Rickman were both the exact same age as
- 6:05well yeah that was that was startling it's almost like he meant to get Rickman
- 6:09and then just took down some of the digits wrong ended up getting Bowie and
- 6:13then just had to correct his mistake yeah I was sort of this is going to
- 6:19sound bad I'm sort of happy go on that with Bo and Rickman
- 6:24they were able to keep their illness a secret so they didn't have to go through
- 6:28this whole public affair and they could just ly as well no one had any idea ly
- 6:32was sick well ly was a bit different for a while he he'd only found
- 6:38out like on the Friday and then on the Monday he was dead type of thing right
- 6:42right his was very very quick but bowi and Rickman had been they knew about it
- 6:47they just didn't say anything yeah but they're all very sudden from the point
- 6:50of view of you know like when Steve Jobs died we knew that he was going to
- 6:54whereas with these these guys it was like out of nowhere well Bo just
- 6:59released new album yeah and let me tell you when you listen to it now knowing
- 7:03what we do that's definitely an album written by a guy who knows he's about to
- 7:07die yeah it is dark as [ __ ] it's very interesting and and yeah and Rickman
- 7:13obviously yeah I had no idea that was a surprise um that's a shame I like all
- 7:17all those people are like I mean I'm not a huge motohead fan but you got to
- 7:21respect the guy's achievements absolutely the fact the fact that he was still alive
- 7:26anyway at this point was was pretty astounding and then Bowie I mean speaks
- 7:30for himself and and Rickman as well like [ __ ] man yeah look I
- 7:35mean I like Ellen Rickman and it's sad that he's dead right and and same with
- 7:40lemy like he's an icon and it's it's not good that he's dead but Bowie like I've
- 7:47really felt this like more than any other celebrity that I can recall it was
- 7:53an odd one too because I saw uh a friend works in a newsroom posted something on
- 8:00Facebook saying oh God this is the worst and I was like what's that about and
- 8:06then somebody else commented on and said is it Bowie and then he was like yep and
- 8:12I was like what about it and so I Googled Bowie and all I got was Black
- 8:16Star the new album from Bowie rave reviews blah all this stuff you found
- 8:20out super early because when you told me there was still nothing on Google as
- 8:24well yeah that's what I mean and as I was Googling I was like and then I found
- 8:28one one article was like The Hollywood Reporter that said that David Bo's
- 8:31passed away and I was like what and then I was like no it can't be real there's
- 8:34not not enough places reporting it and then slowly they just started popping up
- 8:37and it was oh no it it is true yeah it it was weird died of AIDS yeah uh
- 8:44actually Jenna boss work the other day and he was like oh about David Bowie
- 8:49that's that's terrible she was like yeah yeah and he goes was it
- 8:54aids she was like no it was Cades it was
- 9:00great so I mean I guess this means we going to I'm going to have to construct
- 9:05the most complicated geek of the week ever so it's kind of going to have to be
- 9:10a cross between motohead Ziggy Stardust and the Harry Potter theme is that yeah
- 9:16is that what we're thinking about yes I mean sad sadly yeah if you manage it
- 9:21Matt like quite honestly like that will be an absolute musical Triumph a
- 9:26crowning achievement mhm yeah well all right I'm going to give it my best shot
- 9:31um and whatever it is that I happen to to come up with we'll we'll end up
- 9:39here you might have seen the news today it seems we've all died of [Music]
- 9:45AIDS we died of AIDS it's geek of
- 9:52weak Aran Rickman also died of AIDS see me after the potions class
- 9:59[Music] and I'm not even going to fake a reaction like I normally do because I
- 10:06just uh I just really want to hear he first I'm pretty sure hopefully it's
- 10:10going to be good enough that there there'll be a an oncore oncore
- 10:14performance of it next podcast man if it's even half as good as the Nick Cage
- 10:18news which is written as a Nick Cave
- 10:22song then I'll I'll be happy especially since we actually have some Nick Cage
- 10:27news today we do yeah we do do you want to do you want to kick off with that
- 10:32then well why don't you play the jingle all right oh God this is a hard one to
- 10:37find because I stupidly named it the ballot of Nick Cage and didn't just put
- 10:40it under Nick Cage news here we go I do like that title though well Nick Cage
- 10:44walked into the room and he asked of his manager is there any Nick Cage
- 10:48news Nick Cage's manager turned to Nick Cage and said of course there's Nick
- 10:53Cage news Nick Cage is the biggest movie star in the whole wide world things are
- 10:59only going to get bigger now take a look at this script
- 11:03right here it's about a man made of [Applause]
- 11:08wicker cage news so good um so look I
- 11:13mean there's not a lot behind this but I just loved reading the headline actor
- 11:20Nicholas Cage agrees to return stolen dinosaur
- 11:24skull yep and I really wanted to know what that was you really think that he
- 11:29stole it yeah unfortunately that's not the case what happened is that he bought
- 11:34a dinosaur skull from an
- 11:39auction right and it turns out that they had acquired it
- 11:44illegally right I mean I don't know what legal ways you can acquire a dinosaur
- 11:48skull I kind of always think that if you have bought a dinosaur skull off anyone
- 11:53it's probably meant to be in a museum I think the only way you can legally
- 11:57acquire one is to dig it up yourself yeah and I wonder if even that happens
- 12:02whether if it's more than 3T down or something then the government of that
- 12:06country has claimed to it regardless what if I mean if somebody would managed
- 12:11to extract some DNA from a mosquito and then clone a dinosaur and then murder
- 12:15the dinosaur that could it could be a homicide case yeah because I reckon you
- 12:20could reasonably argue in court show me in the law where it says you can't murder a
- 12:25dinosaur yep especially in America like if the dinosaur walked under your
- 12:29property you have the right to kill it I think the uh it was set in precedent in
- 12:34the case of um the people versus meteorite from um from Five Five Million
- 12:39Years BC yeah y That's right um so the
- 12:44guy that stole the skull and then sold
- 12:48it to Nick Cage for qu million niage specifically knocked on his door and
- 12:52said hey you want to buy a skull I got something you might like I just watched
- 12:56that movie Treasure Hunter and uh I got something you
- 12:59into um funnily enough Leonardo DiCaprio was also bidding on the skull but got
- 13:06out bid yeah yeah interesting yeah and
- 13:11sucks about he does get the money back does he Tyrannosaurus Batar no I don't
- 13:16think he gets the money back but he can afford it so it's a i Tyrannosaurus I
- 13:20assume it's a pretty cool looking skull yeah yeah Google B it's pretty
- 13:25badass as far as I know it's a smaller
- 13:30smaller Tyrannosaur smaller than the
- 13:33Rex but uh you know still pretty cool
- 13:38Tyrannosaurus B oh yeah that's pretty rad yeah look as as a segue just from
- 13:44mentioning uh Leo DiCaprio right yeah
- 13:49um do you guys know that there was so much [ __ ] going around the internet on
- 13:54like legitimate websites like movie news websites that Leonardo DiCaprio had to
- 13:59come out and assure everybody that he did not get raped by a bear in his new
- 14:05film yeah we talked about this already did we yeah have we literally talked
- 14:10about this yeah he really did all right cut that and let me start again because
- 14:14I've seen that movie now does he get raped by a
- 14:19bear he doesn't get raped by a bear but honestly if you only saw that scene I
- 14:25can totally understand why you'd think so like the bear jumps out at him and
- 14:31pushes him onto the ground right yeah then he's like no for no reason at all
- 14:36the bear turns him
- 14:38over right and gets on top of him so it
- 14:43is a bit rapy so the be says you want to you want to hey you want to go
- 14:48outside why I can't hear you can you want to go out the back you just want to
- 14:52drink this just just have a drink I think that film was written by a guy I
- 14:55went to school with yeah I think it might have been imagine that
- 15:00yeah okay so there's I mean it's it's not unus it's it's still unusual you can
- 15:05understand why people thought that cuz I at first I was like why the [ __ ] would
- 15:08people even think that well here's the thing right if you keep watching it for
- 15:12one to two seconds more as he starts to slash it him with his claws and not [ __ ]
- 15:18him up the ass not with his dick yeah yeah um then it becomes perfectly clear
- 15:23what's happening so really they just it was a really bad cuz everyone got the
- 15:28idea from a trailer wasn't it well I mean even so like how much of
- 15:34it would you have to assume yeah but still like even if
- 15:39you're going what is he getting raped by that bear then you should really just
- 15:44think well no he's probably just getting attacked and eaten by
- 15:47it like having not seen the film I can't really make that assumption I'm
- 15:51wondering now did did we discuss it or did I just send the article to you guys
- 15:56and then we discussed it in an email I know that that that happened I'm pretty
- 16:01sure we discussed it cuz I don't I don't remember I don't remember having an
- 16:05actual conversation about yeah I don't remember hearing that back H so maybe
- 16:11maybe maybe I just emailed it and then we yeah look ask Jenna if she's heard it
- 16:15in the podcast if she has cut out the bit where I says have you guys heard and
- 16:19she hasn't cut out the bit where you go are you sure I think we've talked about
- 16:22that yep Roger
- 16:25that editing so in in short don't even ask less like it is weigh in
- 16:31now while you're editing just just do one of the two
- 16:36yep we have some dick news this week uh it was sent in by a listener pop this
- 16:41little jingle in [Music]
- 16:44here dick dick news I'm going to pop
- 16:48this dick news in here so listen to cognac Legion has sent in this link uh
- 16:55for dick news and it's about a kangaroo that a photographer was observing and
- 17:01taking photos and he was very moved by the fact that it seemed like the male
- 17:05kangaroo was um grieving over the the dead female kangaroo and attempting to
- 17:11you know revive it mhm a that's a little anthropomorphizing though I will say
- 17:17yeah and then uh some scientists had a look at the photos and the footage and
- 17:21they said ah yeah now he's actually trying to mate with her yeah he's trying
- 17:26to [ __ ] that dead kangaroo um he he's very stressed and agitated um and his
- 17:31forearms are wet because he's been licking himself to try and cool himself
- 17:34down because he's so aroused so um my favorite thing about
- 17:40this picture is that I mean if you take it from that angle it looks like a very
- 17:45sweet picture because you've got the father cradling the mother and the
- 17:50mother holding hands with the little Joey saying goodbye for the last time
- 17:55but when you know the truth it's a mother trying to get a last bit of help
- 18:00from her child as the child's father rapes her to
- 18:06death an interesting thing I noticed in this article as
- 18:11well uh was that uh the scientist says he's also aroused the evidence is here
- 18:18sticking out from behind the scrotum yes um in marsupial the penis is located
- 18:23behind the scrotum so kangaroos have their genitals backwards are you sure
- 18:28that's not the maybe I don't think that's a genital I
- 18:33think that's powerful kangaroo tale maybe they're not maybe this guy wasn't
- 18:37a scientist after all but no that [ __ ] with their tails do they do
- 18:42they uh I mean I haven't seen them do it but I don't doesn't mean they don't
- 18:48though doesn't mean they don't yeah fair fair but yeah so it's it was I don't
- 18:54know started out as I guess a sweet photo and then uh and then science made
- 18:59it [ __ ] what I love about this is this photo became before it came out the
- 19:05truth this photo went viral and everyone's oh isn't this
- 19:08sweet and then because of this when the truth has come out everyone else has now
- 19:13heard about the story a bit more and it's sort of like oh Nature's just
- 19:17[ __ ] yeah yeah yeah yeah that's right oh I guess there is no I mean we've
- 19:23talked about animals raping other animals to death on this podcast before
- 19:26like we just know it like it's it's a wild world out there you know y oh
- 19:31man it's got to by the neck it's got to by the
- 19:36neck kangaroos man Penguins kangaroos you can't trust any of them they all
- 19:40look cute but they're dark dark creatures is it Beav or that rap as
- 19:46well oh Luke that is a slippery slope and Matt I think you're going to have to play the
- 19:54jingle while the other brothers are doing time listen up it's
- 20:00you want to rap a dead person do you no I don't want to rape a dead person when
- 20:05you have to justify that and come out public and say no I don't want to rape a
- 20:09dead person then you know that you've misspoken don't you and then when you
- 20:14when you little bit when you ponder out loud is it rape of their
- 20:20dead like I know it's wrong but rap the right turn for it and you know really is
- 20:26it cheating you know well no actually no it probably is rape because you're not
- 20:31getting consent right but you're not getting consent from something that
- 20:34can't couldn't possibly consent because it's that's still rape that's that's why
- 20:39you can't rape a child no no no but you can't rape a a a lounge you know what I
- 20:44mean raping my flashlight see exactly that's that's more what I was getting at
- 20:50yeah like if so what you're saying Matt is if they don't specifically say no for
- 20:56any reason say yes I'm saying it's an inanimate object at that point is kind
- 21:02of what I'm getting but it's not the same because it it was once you know a
- 21:07living creature so it's a contentious issue what if you were a dile cuz it's
- 21:13it's alive you know yeah what if what [Laughter]
- 21:20if speaking of uh baby CL can you [ __ ]
- 21:26food no no I'm serious if if you can if you if you bought a rotisserie chicken
- 21:33right home from the supermarket and the privacy of your own home proceeded to
- 21:39[ __ ] that chicken I mean is that just a weird way
- 21:44to have a wank or are you raping a dead chicken I mean I can answer that
- 21:48definitively yeah it is but is it
- 21:52illegal probably not I mean it's [ __ ] weird but ladies and gentlemen of the
- 21:57jewelry I ask you
- 22:02right can we talk about a daycare teacher forcing children to fight I'd
- 22:08love to Luke do you want to take us through this well um I'm just goinging be up the
- 22:13story there's a dayare teacher has actually just uh been found guilty
- 22:18pretty much starting her own baby Fight Club awesome now I'll say right off the
- 22:22bat that sounds amazing but can you tell me why that's a
- 22:27crime I think maybe the crime was she uh she
- 22:33herself participated in in in tripping so it's not she's making babies fight
- 22:38each other it's that she's fighting babies she did and then she she might
- 22:43have got away with it too except she also participated in being a [ __ ] to the
- 22:48babies and just [ __ ] knocked them around a bit too hard so that it was I
- 22:52know maybe she could have explain a they fight you know nothing I can do about it
- 22:55but then she's tripping them over and triing stepping on their feet yeah just
- 23:01try to get them started like being like Oh someone tripped you over don't stand
- 23:05for that like what a what a [ __ ] like who the [ __ ] does that to like how old
- 23:10are these kids one-year-old children one years old I'll say this if you look at
- 23:15her picture I mean she looks like a [ __ ] dead [Laughter]
- 23:22[ __ ] I say she does look good for her
- 23:25age she's 31 Luke yeah all right she she does I've got more wrinkles than that at
- 23:31that age you're not that age yeah we're quite a bit older than
- 23:37her I just remembered that [ __ ] I feel old again yeah
- 23:44yeah so um apparently 20 counts of of violence against children I guess were
- 23:50dismissed during the trial because there was no evidence uh however cuz the babies
- 23:56couldn't talk to testify yeah so but then three co-workers
- 24:02testified they witnessed her abusing the children uh had no bias and one of them
- 24:07actually considered her a friend so I'm I'm sorry this I have a problem with
- 24:11like you just witness it you don't May me think to uh you shouldn't do that whoa
- 24:18whoa yeah you uh you're right there I'm
- 24:22going to be honest Matt mhm you start a baby Fight Club oh I am so there and you
- 24:29start tripping kids and pushing over and siing on their feet uhhuh don't think we
- 24:33could be friends really yeah well well well well sorry well that's all for this
- 24:40week thank you for listening I hope you enjoy find out a lot when you do a podcast with
- 24:47somebody yeah so yeah baby fight club thumbs down from the by the judge or by
- 24:53the Judiciary yeah he wasn't impressed with baby Brad Pit or baby Edward Norton
- 24:59or even and she will actually be spending time in jail yeah well fair enough says I put
- 25:06her in jail how they look yeah if you got to put her anywhere Jail's probably the
- 25:12place and she can join her own Fight Club yeahh
- 25:17yeah I love that everybody kind of knows maybe this is a myth an urban myth but
- 25:24maybe it's true that everyone knows that if you're a child molester you get um
- 25:28like beaten and raped in prison right yeah that's just a thing we all know and
- 25:34just I just it's it's so funny to me I mean yes that is a heinous crime no
- 25:40question but the fact that you go to prison which is full of other people
- 25:44that have committed [ __ ] up crimes who go look I I've I've raped women but not
- 25:50young women so [ __ ] you pal I'm judging you you know no I think uh I think I
- 25:57mean I most maybe I just know this from TV but I believe that any kind of uh
- 26:03sexual predator is is on the on The Hit List in prison I I think they just don't
- 26:08stand for that and also I think uh i' sure I've seen somewhere they said that
- 26:12if you're a you know like an abusive spouse that doesn't go down well either
- 26:16so if you're a murderer though that's okay well it depends on depends on who
- 26:21and why you rape someone and they survive you'll get raped yourself in
- 26:26prison but if you rape them to death you're okay because you're a murderer
- 26:29and PR sure no matter what happens you're getting raped yeah yeah yeah yeah you're
- 26:35probably right about that
- 26:40yeah is that for how to avoid rape in prison no oh well he seems to know a lot
- 26:46about it well in prison he's like I assure you you're going to get
- 26:52raped I go to prison I'm walking straight up to the biggest guy I'm going
- 26:56to go guess this makes me your
- 27:00[ __ ] yeah act a bit sexy and uh just get in with the cool
- 27:06kids do you want to talk about video games I don't know if we've had much
- 27:09video game news of late cuz I simply just haven't had enough time to play any
- 27:14I've just been jumping from game to game to game to get
- 27:17achievements so just standard for you yeah just normal yeah well I play I
- 27:22bought the Steam summer sale was on not long ago um it's probably the winter
- 27:27sale from the US listeners this a summer sale here uh and I I picked up a few
- 27:32indie games uh one that I played ended up playing quite a bit is darkest
- 27:37dungeon have you guys heard of darkest dungeon is it a seal to dark
- 27:41dungeon uh it might be they're shooting him in the foot making it so they can't make
- 27:46anymore well it's it's a lovecraftian uh role playing game it's
- 27:53kind of um like a randomly generated Dungeons and the premises that you
- 27:59you've inherited your old family you know stately home which is run down
- 28:03because your father or grandfather delved into these caves underneath and
- 28:08Unleashed unspeakable Horrors and so now all the are we still talking about rape
- 28:14no um and so you the kind of the Hub of the
- 28:20game is the town near where the Mansion is and you recruit new adventurers uh
- 28:25they come in Via Carriage every week and you you get these new adventurers and
- 28:30then you form a party and then you go on a on a quest which is a randomly
- 28:34generated Quest and basically it is brutally difficult and it has this
- 28:40mechanic where because it's kind of HP Lovecraft themed your characters have a
- 28:44stress level and as they get more and more stressed they develop little
- 28:49idiosyncrasies like I had one guy become a kleptomaniac and so anytime we
- 28:54discovered some treasure he would steal most of it and then
- 28:59uh and then they become like you know afraid of of blood and so as soon as
- 29:03someone other the other party members get injured they're like and they like
- 29:06flee the battle and stuff like that it's really interesting yeah and so it's very
- 29:12difficult it's like Amnesia in that you you've got a scare meter yeah sort of
- 29:17it's um yeah but it's it's individual per character and so what happens is
- 29:21after an adventure you can either run away and it says they to Bally you
- 29:24you're gonna have to run away quite a lot like you won't be sometimes it just
- 29:28won't go your way and you know your party will die or go insane and then you
- 29:32head back to the village and then the ones that survived you can put them into
- 29:36various places in the village like you can take them to the church and they can
- 29:40just kind of pray for a week and that that kind of calms them down a bit and
- 29:43then maybe they'll be cured of some of their little ticks and or they uh you
- 29:48can send them off to the brothel or to the tavern or they can go gambling and
- 29:52that kind of thing and and so you kind of have to keep this roster of Heroes
- 29:56cycling in and then there's a mental Asylum you can put him in the mental
- 30:00Asylum and yeah yeah it's really interesting and all the art work in the
- 30:04game is done by Mike mola who does Hellboy ah and and all those yeah so
- 30:10it's it's actually it's really really like the beautiful artwork uh like very
- 30:15dark and stylized but it's a cool game people complain on Steam that it's more
- 30:21difficult now um but I didn't play it before so I'm kind of that's just how I
- 30:25know it apparently I'm just having a look at the moment cuz it's still in um
- 30:28Early Access that's right it used to be apparently easier and so I think people
- 30:33must have gotten used to keeping the same party members a lot but they've
- 30:37changed it because they basically said yeah no no people will die if they're
- 30:41supposed to that's the game so I think the people saying it's too hard uh being
- 30:46discouraged by the fact that that their characters are dying but you're not
- 30:49supposed to keep them you're supposed to cycle through
- 30:52them like the it looks fantastic Matt it is it's really checking it out now the
- 30:58art is amazing I definitely recommend you guys check it out you you would like
- 31:02it down I'm sure and I mean I don't know Luke you um it's uh I don't know there's
- 31:07no achievements cuz it's on Steam so I'm about it 6 months to a year away from
- 31:14going back through my PC gaming phase okay I'm just waiting to get my new
- 31:19computer I like that you plan this a year in advance one year from now I'll start
- 31:25playing PC games again mm I just need to wait till I get my new computer okay and
- 31:30I'm holding off as long as possible until I buy it yeah darkest dungeon uh I
- 31:35recommend it it's it's fun and interesting I just put it on my wish
- 31:38list in case anyone wishes to buy it for me yeah no it's it's very very good yeah
- 31:44creepy and dark and and difficult but fun no I might give that a try in 6
- 31:49months to a year time yeah sounds good you guys played anything interesting I
- 31:54uh downloaded a little iOS game this week that I've found a little bit
- 31:58interesting and it's called Lifeline right and I guess I guess you'd call it
- 32:04a text Adventure right it kind of it it it kind of doesn't have Graphics or
- 32:10anything I mean it's nicely laid out but it doesn't have moving images per se but
- 32:16basically it works as you turn your push notifications on and
- 32:21then you get a message from an astronaut who's stranded and is freaking out out and
- 32:28you're the only one that's being able to hear his message so you chat with him
- 32:32and you help him out and you know he'll say what should I do should I should I
- 32:36climb up on top of the cliff to try to see the landscape or should I try to
- 32:40find my way back to my crashed ship and you say all right just go towards the
- 32:45ship you might need supplies okay it's going to take me about 2 hours to get
- 32:48there I'll check in soon and then in 2 hours or so you'll get another message
- 32:53from him you know in real time that says all right I'm here what do I do
- 32:59is it it's AI or is there somebody sending these messages to you no no it's
- 33:05it's all just AI so it's uh yeah it's just based on
- 33:10what what tree you go down can you tell him to do anything no no no no no it's
- 33:16uh multiple choice choice as it were yeah um that sounds amazing I am
- 33:22actually buying that now yeah cool yeah I'm going to check that
- 33:26out too yeah it's just it's yeah for just something new and
- 33:29different um if you get it now I'm just having a look in this for the next seven
- 33:34days it's free I iOS yeah is it yeah I'm having to pay $135 can't argue with that
- 33:41[ __ ] it I'll just get it right now right now mine's installing right now 2015 Meg
- 33:46but yeah I had to pay $135 for mine suck
- 33:49it oh yeah free cool Lifeline 2 is out
- 33:54oh really so I'm already out of day looks completely different it looks like
- 33:59it's kind of a mystical one maybe it's got nothing to do with it and they've
- 34:02just called their completely separate game lifetime too yeah no it looks like
- 34:07it's the same company three minute games but it's uh oh yeah there's a bunch of
- 34:10them Lifeline Silent Night oh Lifeline 2
- 34:15is uh it's a Christmas themed one is it Lifeline 2 is about it looks like you're
- 34:20a mage or or the person is a Mage and they're
- 34:25traveling Aras messages come up to you God doesn't tell me anything helping her
- 34:30on her mission to save her brother and avenge her parents kept a spill bound
- 34:33the whole way through interesting oh I'm going to check out
- 34:37the first one anyway yeah that sounds like a fun game I will tear I will um I
- 34:43think I'm going to give up on Fallout 4 just for the record really okay really I
- 34:47just wow yeah um I I've got to finish
- 34:50Witcher got well I uh what I did is I
- 34:56went ahead and finished the main story of Fallout 4 to free me up to play other
- 35:02games you know yeah so uh and I was glad I did that because I really wanted to
- 35:06check out rise of the Tomb Raider I got to play it I've got to play
- 35:10it's lovely look I it's beautiful and it's not it's not difficult you know
- 35:16it's uh it's kind of you can't really go wrong I you can get eaten by a bear or
- 35:21you can fall off a cliff but right you know like you can't go the wrong way
- 35:25really so you know it's kind of a a no-brainer I've got to be in the mood
- 35:30for that so I played that for a bit uh progressed a little way through it maybe
- 35:35a quarter of the way through and then I just missed Fallout so I've been playing
- 35:40Fallout again this weekend does um the the main storyline
- 35:46in Fallout 4 I should just I should just work my way through it cuz keep after
- 35:50that absolutely yeah it's like um yeah oh yeah know I'm saying yeah like I know
- 35:54for a fact but remember Fallout 3 no you finished the main story you died yes yes
- 36:00originally that's true yeah until the DLC um Fallout New Vegas though I don't
- 36:04think was like that you could just keep playing and exploring but no this
- 36:07definitely is um no no Fallout New Vegas had an ending it had like a like at the
- 36:12end it told you everything that happened maybe this one does the same yeah and
- 36:16then you just wake straight back up oh okay all right yeah yeah cuz I've got a
- 36:21lot of side misses still do a lot of the map to still explore do you guys know
- 36:24you can go off the map in this one oh I didn't no yeah you can go off the map
- 36:30various directions quite far you get to
- 36:35Island no I don't think you can I'm curious about it is is Rhode Island to
- 36:39the north or south of of South well then maybe you can maybe you can Matt
- 36:45interesting uh but I you know you get you get sent down there on a mission to
- 36:50the uh I don't know how far through you guys have played but it's called the the
- 36:55radiated sea or something like that and is this really irradiated place where
- 36:59you have to wear your power armor or a hazmat suit but uh you don't have to
- 37:05stop you can keep going to the east no to the west and the South and there's
- 37:10other [ __ ] down there huh okay [ __ ] death I've still got to go find
- 37:16Valentine yeah I've done that yeah
- 37:20yeah yeah did uh Valentine give you a give you a nice little Overcoat when you
- 37:26helped him so that you can look like a detective he did I sold it because my my
- 37:31armor that I had is is way better yeah of course I don't wear I I don't like
- 37:36the armor in Fallout 4 you don't wear the armor you got to put the No No I'm
- 37:40going to say I don't wear any novelty suits because I just wear
- 37:44armor I don't like the armor you're talking you got to have separate legs
- 37:47and arms and shoulders and yeah I don't care about that just one suit of it's
- 37:52too complicated I don't care and I mean I'm sure it's great for people who want
- 37:55to worry about that stuff I just don't care and also it I don't like the look
- 37:59of it I think it's sure yeah well I never see it yeah I know I know but it's
- 38:05when I'm cut finding it and putting it on yeah I know and then it it like shows
- 38:10me and I look [ __ ] ridiculous and I'm like look it's funny I agree with you I
- 38:15was quite pissed off with it when I was playing the game as a game now that I'm
- 38:19just kind of exploring and improving my home and improving
- 38:22myself um you know now I'm you know I'm I'm up dating individual pieces of armor
- 38:29and uh I did the same with my you I Chrome plated my power armor for example
- 38:34one piece at a time yeah right mine's got Flames
- 38:39awesome of course it does yeah I I'll I'm I sh I'll go back
- 38:45to it but um yeah I don't know it just hasn't grabbed me there's some really great
- 38:52side quests though has anyone done the silver shroud side quest I started it I
- 38:57started it I haven't got very far I don't I think it's really weird
- 39:01the one thing that I think is the reason why I can't get into this game is
- 39:04because I start off with power armor I know it's silly I haven't even
- 39:10used it I've just got it's parked at Sanctuary I haven't used it I feel I have to earn
- 39:14it and and like I probably found six or seven suits of power armor yeah and I
- 39:20just I just strip them for parts you don't need more than one
- 39:25because you can uh you can repair pie so just get the best pieces and sell the
- 39:31rest okay for cash or
- 39:36drugs to give to the old lady yeah that's right you know you can [ __ ]
- 39:41people Fallout 4 I Well you emailed the other day yeah apparently you can [ __ ]
- 39:46any of your companions including codsworth but no one's quite sure if you
- 39:51can [ __ ] dog mate well he's the only one I have with me because I got the lone wer perk
- 39:57because yeah sure cuz they just get way get doesn't count as a companion for the
- 40:03Apparently not I'm hoping that's not a hoping that's not a bug that they're
- 40:07going to fix cuz I think that's always been the case I hate having any
- 40:11companion it's handy to be able to tell him to carry all my [ __ ] oh yeah yeah so
- 40:16what I usually do is if I'm going to go into like a location I'll make him wait
- 40:20outside because Stay Stay yeah because he because he just causes problems if he
- 40:24goes in yeah just [ __ ] but goes in balls out yeah yeah
- 40:29yeah so no I leave him next to the dogghouse in my home in
- 40:34sanctuary H yeah dog you guys are you doing the um are you doing the
- 40:39settlements all that that doing not really not really I you know I fixed up
- 40:44sanctuary and I've got a few settlements under my protection that you know they
- 40:49alert me when they're under attack and I go and help him out but I'm not faring
- 40:54up and it's not I don't play that game bu myself so I'm skipping
- 41:00it I'm just taking red
- 41:03rocket okay yeah I I bought the house in Diamond City and that's where I live oh
- 41:09okay nice and they they comes up and says so and so is under attack and I'm
- 41:14like what do you want me to do about it I'm busy yeah
- 41:19so I mean it's the one right next to Sanu Sanctuary okay so it's within the
- 41:23border of sanctuary's um crafting radius
- 41:27is it no just outside so it has its own crafting station yeah it does it's got a
- 41:33bunch of them okay interesting interesting but you can't
- 41:37store stuff in them though can you Luke yeah yeah you could you could create a
- 41:42storage but okay but no no no what I mean is if you go to a crafting station
- 41:48that's in one of your uh what do you call them settlements and you dump stuff
- 41:52in it it's Avail that that stuff is available at all of them but if you go
- 41:57rocket really okay that's interesting yeah okay okay I'm going to be
- 42:01completely honest I didn't know you could dump your stuff I've just been
- 42:04carrying it around most of it doesn't weigh much no all your yours and stuff
- 42:11yeah you just dump dump it [ __ ] really and it just automatically converts it
- 42:15into everything and it's just available everywhere yeah all right
- 42:19interesting it's like you push X and it's just like dump junk yeah right okay
- 42:24did not know that H H the thing I don't like about Fallout 4 that you will no
- 42:30doubt discover Luke and Matt if you go back to
- 42:34it is that you know you play a game a certain way and you kind of decide to
- 42:40yourself who your character is going to be and and what they're going to do and
- 42:44how how you play the game is kind of based on the ontology you kind of create
- 42:48for your character but in Fallout 4 you get to a point where you have to choose
- 42:53sides from a number of teams that you've been working
- 42:58and cooperating with mhm and once you
- 43:03choose sides with one the others automatically become enemies and will
- 43:08shoot you on site and you can no longer talk to them or work with them and it's
- 43:12a bit odd because in previous Fallout games that's happened as well but it's
- 43:16usually pretty cut and dry who the goodies and the baddies are right this
- 43:21one it's it's a bit more ambiguous so you know I'm like well I don't want to
- 43:26piss these guys off I mean they've been real helpful to me you know but at the
- 43:30same time I'm going to need to work with these guys that's actually the reason
- 43:34why I um stopped playing New Vegas I got up to a mission where it was if I do
- 43:41this um I'm not they're going to be pissed off me they're going to be pissed
- 43:45off me and I just went I don't want to do that I just want to do everything so
- 43:49I won't play it at all did you not finished New Vegas no I still haven't oh
- 43:54wow I finished it twice I need to go back and finish it
- 43:58it's on my to-do list look when you play back long to-do list yeah I played it
- 44:02back to back with Fallout 3 and it's not as good it's just not as good oh okay
- 44:08like the story in Fallout 3 is much stronger the characters are much
- 44:14richer h i remember I I feel like I enjoyed New Vegas a bit more but I don't
- 44:19know why oh really interesting you like to [ __ ]
- 44:25gamble could be could um do you want to talk about some
- 44:31movies why not sounds good I believe You' have seen a movie recently Matt I
- 44:37did I I saw a few but I saw one in particular of note because I saw it with
- 44:44the creators of it oh and that was very exciting we got invited to the
- 44:49Australian premere of the hateful eight with um Quenton Tarantino Kurt
- 44:55Russell and Samuel Jackson in attendance and uh I would like to very much thank
- 45:01Road Show for inviting us cuz that was that was a fun evening um now I have to
- 45:08ask with this did that have the intermission yeah yeah yeah we had the
- 45:11Overture beforehand oh uh we watched we watched the movie in in on film The the
- 45:17CEO of Road Show got up and said you're watching it on film like as oh wow
- 45:22actually projected on film yep great uh and it was in the uh the ultrawide
- 45:28presentation and I mean it looked looked beautiful it was yeah yeah yeah yeah oh
- 45:34if you can see it that way I recommend it it was was very just just very clear
- 45:40and and I don't know it's just they it was a very good presentation I I'll say
- 45:46uh I mean I'm sure maybe it's just that I was looking for it you know what I
- 45:50mean like the I'm sure digital stuff looks spot on any anyway but this I
- 45:54don't know this just looked really nice but I don't know maybe other films do too
- 46:00how's the movie the movie was good I enjoyed it uh I'm not as we've discussed
- 46:06on here before a huge fan of
- 46:09Tarantino um I liked Pulp Fiction and I
- 46:14haven't really liked any of the others uh until D Jango I really like Jango and
- 46:19I really liked this uh I liked it more before the
- 46:24intermission and then I felt the ending kind of dropped off ah interesting but
- 46:29but overall I really liked it and I would watch it again definitely uh and I
- 46:35will because I there are things I want to pay more attention to it's got a good
- 46:40story uh 3 hours is pretty long I think it is long yeah 3 hours is pretty long
- 46:45yeah it had an intermission after 2 hours when we saw it uh I don't two
- 46:49hours no no no had a 2 hours then an intermission and then an hour no no I
- 46:53meant like it's weird I thought they'd go like the hour and a half mark yeah no
- 46:57no no traditionally the the second act should be slightly
- 47:01shorter if you go see a Broadway show with an intermission usually it's like
- 47:06an hour in the first half 45 minutes in the second half
- 47:11okay yeah so what's it about uh it's about a a group of people it starts out
- 47:17with um Samuel L Jackson and um Kurt Russell's characters meeting they're two
- 47:22bounty hunters and one of them Kurt Russell's character is taking for Jason
- 47:27Lee's character I don't remember the character's names uh she's a criminal
- 47:31and they they both bounty hunters and then uh they're stuck in the Sam
- 47:34Jackson's stuck in the snow and so Kurt Russell gives him a ride in his Carriage
- 47:39uh they made up with a bunch of other people and and through various
- 47:42circumstances they all end up uh in this cabin a place called
- 47:48um you know what I don't remember the name of the place uh something habashy
- 47:53something something H ly's habashy or something like that that anyway it's
- 47:57like a hotel it's this cabin and they're all stuck in this cabin which that's the
- 48:02one thing that I thought was strange at first uh I read some stuff later on
- 48:06about why they did this but I thought they got these lenses out right these
- 48:10Ultra wide lenses to shoot this film and then and I thought I thought this is a
- 48:16it's a western we're going to see some sweeping landscape shots we're going to
- 48:19see you know some some beautiful cinematography and we did at the start
- 48:24and then 95% of it took place inside a cabin it's quite one big room and and
- 48:31what he said was and I guess this is fair and why I want to watch it again
- 48:36cuz it is it is a fair thing to say that the the wide lens allowed them to
- 48:41capture the whole room okay um in a lot of shots and it is definitely true
- 48:46that's why I want to see it again because you there's a lot of attention
- 48:51to detail in things because it's a Tarantino film you know you see some
- 48:54things out of order and then you you learn later on you go oh that's what
- 48:58that was and that kind of thing and so um I think there is a lot of background
- 49:04stuff that you would appreciate more the second time stuff like that so yeah I
- 49:09would I would like to see it again um yeah so they get stuck in this cabin and
- 49:13then and then they learn that uh
- 49:16somebody there is working against them I
- 49:21don't want to give too much away and and then things progress from there um but
- 49:26it's very interesting everybody's charact all the characters were very
- 49:28interesting I thought uh and yeah I really I really liked it all the
- 49:34performances were really good was it was a good movie I'm actually looking
- 49:38forward to seeing this one which is weird I'm not the biggest Tarantino fan
- 49:42either mhm like I've never have been like I think one of the ones I saw in
- 49:46glorious bastards I just was not for me seen stupid I haven't seen it I really
- 49:52want to watch it I'm going to I'm going to watch it maybe this next week so
- 49:55maybe next week I'll Port back and and let you know I'll tell you this Matt
- 50:00there are scenes in eng glorious bastards that are fantastic yeah right like the opening
- 50:06scene for example but overall it's just a bit weird I'll tell you one thing I
- 50:12one of his films I have really enjoyed Death Proof see I didn't like death
- 50:18proof I enjoyed except for the the that whole car chase when she's on the hood
- 50:23of the car thing I think is that like half the movie
- 50:27yeah if you get rid of that it's a yeah but they need to cut that down I like
- 50:32the movie I didn't like that car scene yeah right I think maybe I should watch
- 50:38a few of his again because I know he he's he's a smart guy and I know he has
- 50:43things on purpose and I know also that he I mean he'll do things because it's
- 50:49Cinema and it's fun but he'll also do things because he is a bit clever than
- 50:53that sometimes MH and so like I I feel like sometimes on some things people
- 50:58give him too much credit and on other things they don't give him enough yeah I
- 51:01think that's fair I don't know I think he's he's interesting from that point of
- 51:05view so I think I want to go back and watch Death Proof I want to watching
- 51:09glorious spasers that's the first thing I'm going to do I'm going to watch that
- 51:10maybe I'll do like a reverse chronological Quenton Tarantino thing or
- 51:15something and just work my way back I mean I've seen Jango fairly fun when you
- 51:20get to Jackie Brown see I haven't seen that either so
- 51:25we'll uh if you're going to do that you have to include his episode of Alias
- 51:29that he directed oh yeah mhm yeah he did two didn't he and you have yes back to
- 51:33back and you have to oh yeah it's a split yeah you have to watch uh the
- 51:37episode of uh America's Got Talent that he
- 51:42did all right yeah don't know anything about that I'll say this too I have seen
- 51:49a lot of stuff read a lot of stuff about
- 51:50him being uh a total [ __ ] withit yeah uh he he as far as I can tell he's not he
- 51:57was very nice so yeah I don't know I don't know maybe people catch him at a
- 52:02bad time and that's that's the only only time you hear about it but no he was
- 52:07very nice and he he had a lot of time for everybody and he was really friendly
- 52:11that's great so H yeah it was interesting it's a it's
- 52:17interesting experience being on the other side of the other side of the the
- 52:22barrier so to speak M mhm it's a little off-putting
- 52:28to say the least so uh yeah forgot to forgot to take I didn't forget to take
- 52:34photos I felt like I shouldn't take photos yeah well they probably had a big
- 52:37sign that said do not take pictures or video dur no no no it was more like well
- 52:43they they they they got there right they had the the cinema blocked off to the
- 52:46street with the barricades and all the Press at the sides and then you know
- 52:50they limos arrived and they all got out and they were walking in and then so we
- 52:54took some photos and then I said oh you know where do we go asked one of the
- 52:57security guards and showed him the passes and stuff and he said oh yeah
- 52:59come through and then put us on the carpet with them and I was like oh
- 53:04that's weird yeah and so you know went to walk in and gave like Tarantino
- 53:09looked over gave him a little nod he gave me a nod like he probably wondering
- 53:12oh [ __ ] you he's probably thinking may he goes well I might know him so I
- 53:18better nod back of he seems to know me exactly so I was like well this is
- 53:24weird and then I was like I really I'm in the the best position you could
- 53:27possibly be in to get a photo with Quenton Tarantino right now but I can't
- 53:32because CU he thinks he worked on the film because I will give myself away as
- 53:37as someone who's not supposed to be here you know what I mean mhm yeah you're on
- 53:41the having photo taking of VI side exact taking photo side yeah exactly so I I
- 53:46was like I had to leave my phone in my pocket and then when I got to the end I
- 53:49turned around I took a photo backwards where you can I mean you can see that
- 53:52they're there but it was it's kind of less cool than it would have been to get
- 53:55you know kind of aelf self with them in or whatever but I know I just didn't
- 53:58feel right doing it but yeah I understand A++ would would
- 54:04red carpet again that was fun very nice I I've definitely not red carpeted with
- 54:09the likes of uh Tarantino but I did uh
- 54:13get invited uh through Ivon stovsky
- 54:17indirectly to the premiere of her film I
- 54:22love you too which was this [ __ ] terrible
- 54:27romcom um but it did have someone we all
- 54:32like in the cast and that's uh it's a little actor called Peter
- 54:37Dinklage ah nice was he there yeah he was there this of course is before the uh
- 54:44Game of Thrones exactly so I was just thinking what a great [ __ ] and not
- 54:50really putting any weight on the situation you were just thinking repres
- 54:57the lollipop the lollipop midet
- 55:03watch well unfortunately it was before [ __ ] watch as well yeah right wow that
- 55:09must have been a long time ago yeah it was cuz [ __ ] watch is an institution
- 55:13now yeah I know I know so I saw some
- 55:18movies during the week one of which was
- 55:22Steve Jobs the uh the new movie Danny Bo
- 55:26directs script by uh I started to watch
- 55:29it the West Wing guy mhm mhm what did you think of it I started to watch it I
- 55:35will I'll explain why why you started or why you didn't continue I'll well yeah
- 55:41I'll explain both if you like um here well here's my here was my thought I
- 55:44watched it to the end and I enjoyed it
- 55:47um but it's not very good and uh right I
- 55:51for those who don't know it's um not so
- 55:54much a biopic like the movie jobs starring Ashton Kutcher as Steve Jobs
- 56:01with a white beard stuck on which is just [ __ ] appalling um but that went
- 56:06through his life and this one is just set on three separate occasions half
- 56:10hour each in real time behind the scenes before the launch of the Macintosh the
- 56:16Lisa and the iMac so you see those three moments in his life and uh through
- 56:22either historical accuracy or just plain dramatic license I don't know which um
- 56:29pretty much exactly the same thing happens his ex-wife is there and his
- 56:32daughter is there and his assistant is there and wnc is causing problems it's
- 56:38it's kind of like a three act repeating structure um the reason I didn't think
- 56:44it worked was casting fast Bender plays
- 56:49Steve Jobs and I adore fast Bender but he's just too Charming to play a
- 56:55[ __ ] like this I read afterwards that they originally
- 56:59wanted Tom Cruz to play this role and I think that would have worked so well
- 57:02because we accept him as just this [ __ ] other planet living
- 57:08megalomaniac right yeah right whereas kind of fast Bender is just so Charming
- 57:13that it's like ah well throw your weight around I guess but you are a genius so
- 57:18I'll I'll let you I'll let you off yeah it's so weird like this is one actually
- 57:22looked interesting like the last Steve J movie just looked yeah here is this
- 57:28is yeah this one looks interesting and well done oh it is well done yeah
- 57:33absolutely is and and they've um they've done some interesting things with the
- 57:38cinematography for example they they
- 57:40shoot the Macintosh sequence on um the
- 57:45kind of 35 mil film stock they had no 16 mil film stock that they would have had
- 57:50in the late 70s early ' 80s they shoot the one in the '90s with the Lisa in
- 57:54like 35 mil and then um Alexa for the the current stuff so it's you know it
- 57:59looks like the time they're shooting so there's a lot of thought that's going
- 58:02into it yeah what there's not a lot of thought that goes into
- 58:08uh what's what's the Titanic girl why can't I remember her name Kate Winslet
- 58:13Kate winlet yeah Kate Winslet who has an accent
- 58:19sometimes yeah I noticed that too yeah that was weird but anyway that's that's
- 58:24my total summary of it so m very keen to hear what you thought of it well we were
- 58:29just we were just looking for something to watch and so and I've been Keen to
- 58:34see it yeah uh and I mean Jenna's not
- 58:39super interested in in Steve Jobs at all uh in fact she thinks he's he was a
- 58:44[ __ ] and he was yeah right uh and so and she's you know not super interested
- 58:50in the story or anything like that but I popped it on and then we're watching it
- 58:54and then I don't know she wasn't very interested I noticed that she was just
- 58:58doing stuff on her phone not interested and then I I I already knew all the
- 59:04stuff that was happening yeah so I was like you know what we could just do something else
- 59:10cuz I already know yeah I know what's going to happen and I'm fine with just
- 59:15watching this at some other point I don't really care yeah um and then you
- 59:20know that we could just watch something that we both want to watch so that's why
- 59:22I've only seen uh I saw through all through the first you know the minosh CU
- 59:27you never actually see the keynote for the Macintosh always you never see the
- 59:30keynote for all of them they fade out before it starts yeah okay and then it
- 59:34came to the second second lot uh and I I said you know what we don't have to
- 59:37watch this I can I can do this another time it again I'm not I know I know the
- 59:43story well if you've seen all the stuff they discussed yeah exactly and if
- 59:47you've seen one vignette you've seen the whole movie because it's just it just
- 59:50goes on repeat okay start I thought Fender was pretty good
- 59:56but I do agree that he was but see he was charismatic but I think was they say
- 1:00:01Steve Jobs was I never met the man obviously I don't know but maybe maybe
- 1:00:05maybe that is correct yeah I guess maybe it is maybe it
- 1:00:08is couldn't smell through the screen
- 1:00:14though yeah so oh yeah I thought it was
- 1:00:18all right but here's here's my advice if you love Steve Jobs and you want a great
- 1:00:24biopic on Steve Jobs go watch the Pirates of Silicon Valley oh that is a
- 1:00:29great movie yeah cuz that's [ __ ] great you just you you can't do better
- 1:00:33than that they've already made the movie about Steve Jobs and um Bill Gates and
- 1:00:38their rival it tells the whole story it was good yeah yeah that was a great
- 1:00:42movie yeah it was uh I watched something else actually just before we recorded
- 1:00:47tonight um this is on Netflix and I got Netflix now Matt it's so
- 1:00:53good life has changed I wonder if we can get sponsored by Netflix TV's [ __ ] dead
- 1:01:00man yep well have a look on Netflix for the
- 1:01:05captains and this I saw a trailer for this years and years ago and I was
- 1:01:11fascinated I was very interested to see it but it never happened uh until I like
- 1:01:15I just saw on Netflix earlier like it's like the captains it's William Shatner
- 1:01:21he made a documentary where he interviews uh all of the various
- 1:01:25captains from Star Trek you know on on
- 1:01:28various uh different series wow and I've I've literally just found it on Netflix
- 1:01:34right now bookmarking now now I will say this I don't want to give too much away
- 1:01:40but have you ever we've seen William shat a talk right you know the guy's a
- 1:01:43maniac crazy man right I thought this will be a light-hearted little chat with
- 1:01:48them reminiscing telling anecdotes and all that kind of stuff and it does begin
- 1:01:52that way but then bill being bill starts
- 1:01:56asking the hard questions oh like talking to Scott baula he's like so you
- 1:02:02know we work uh you know we work on these TV series we work you know 12 18
- 1:02:05hour days you know you do what you do what it takes it's it's tough isn't it
- 1:02:08and he's like yeah yeah when I did Quantum Leap you know I had like five
- 1:02:11days off in two years and he's like were you married at the time and he's like oh
- 1:02:15oh yeah I was I was and he's like had that work out and then he's like he's
- 1:02:19like oh I mean we're divorced he's like okay could you talk about that for me
- 1:02:23and then and then he and then and and then on and on and then um the I
- 1:02:28forgotten her name uh Captain Jane way like so when you when you were on Star
- 1:02:33Trek you you had two young children and she's like yeah yeah D that was
- 1:02:36difficult he's like how do they feel about it she's like oh I think actually
- 1:02:39they they're still very resentful to this day and he's like could you tell me
- 1:02:42more about that and like like it it goes to like the weirdest places wow and it's
- 1:02:49like it's really good it's fascinating great Shatner and Patrick Stewart I sat
- 1:02:54there chatting at Patrick Stewart's house and William Shatner has this this
- 1:02:58huge moment that like I don't want to spoil it but you should definitely watch
- 1:03:02it it's really really interesting well I will and uh what's the guy who plays
- 1:03:05Cisco on um Deep Space 9 is a
- 1:03:09maniac like he's actually crazy he he he won't answer questions he sat at a piano
- 1:03:16and every time Shatner asks him a question he just starts playing
- 1:03:18something in the piano and he's like yeah it's
- 1:03:23ridiculous so yeah the captains I highly recommend it it it was really really
- 1:03:29that a watch yeah really interesting like way way way way more
- 1:03:35depth than I expected from a light-hearted documentary about Star
- 1:03:39Trek like that's not what this is it is but it isn't so [ __ ] and like uh just
- 1:03:46about the I mean personally I gained an
- 1:03:49appreciation for the sacrifice that people in that profession have to make H
- 1:03:56and maybe that's what he was sort of going for yeah it could be like like all
- 1:04:01of them have every every person that he interviews has this very very dark
- 1:04:07aspect to their Fame that he he like that he like digs
- 1:04:12into like [ __ ] gets his teeth in there it's really interesting I've said it's really
- 1:04:19interesting very very often this conversation which is interesting that
- 1:04:25is interesting so two thumbs up yeah two thumbs up the
- 1:04:28captains was really good was
- 1:04:34interesting how interesting very
- 1:04:38interesting anybody else seen anything interesting um I haven't actually
- 1:04:45finished watching the whole making a murderer ah oh yeah but I do want to say
- 1:04:50one thing about it mhm cuz the whole idea about it is he's sort of blaming
- 1:04:54that he was set up yeah yeah now I just want to say if the
- 1:04:59police were going to do this to set him up uhhuh to the Jingle should I play the
- 1:05:04jingle you do okay here we go while the
- 1:05:07other brothers are doing up CRI
- 1:05:13Crim now I think the police I think if they were going to set him up they
- 1:05:17wouldn't do it this way okay cuz like where did they get the body from who
- 1:05:21killed her yeah did police kill her I think if they were going to set him up
- 1:05:27and try and get him out of the picture I think theyd try and organize it that he
- 1:05:31looked like he was attacking one of them and they had to kill
- 1:05:34him well the the guy says that the uh whoever it was the sheriff I think at
- 1:05:40the time said I don't know if you're up that far but he actually he actually
- 1:05:43says at one point if we wanted to get rid of him it would be easier to kill
- 1:05:48him and then the interview like like sorry can you say that again the
- 1:05:52intervie it's like sorry did you did you just say that he's like yeah and I'll
- 1:05:56say it again well really if we wanted him dead we just kill
- 1:06:01him to go out and kill someone else or yeah frame him for someone else murder
- 1:06:07so there's a murderer really out there it just seems very convoluted but you
- 1:06:11can just go oh he was coming at me he had a gun so I shot him I agree with you
- 1:06:16on that I think uh I don't know that you're supposed to think that they
- 1:06:22actually murdered somebody to to set him up but I but even if they were to this
- 1:06:27woman was murdered um shouldn't you maybe go find the person who killed her
- 1:06:31because there's a murderer out there that's kind of the thing that's
- 1:06:34disturbing about it is that if if they did do this then they as they did before
- 1:06:41have let a guilty person go free because and and you need to like that's the
- 1:06:46thing is yeah it does sound awful but they did do it already yes the first
- 1:06:51time yeah when he's arrested like so and they've admitted that
- 1:06:56yeah that's what makes it like a bit more if it wasn't for that first one I'd
- 1:07:01be like oh they wouldn't do that but they did do it so I don't know but have
- 1:07:05you seen his fiance's come out now and gone he's guilty as hell oh really he
- 1:07:11was sort of threatening her and all of this and so yeah she's saying she's not
- 1:07:17supporting him well look the the simplest answer to this mystery is he
- 1:07:21did do it and he thinks that right you know if we argue is that he didn't
- 1:07:26enough people might think yeah he probably didn't let him off yeah he he
- 1:07:30thinks that he can get away with it because he got a well didn't get away
- 1:07:34with the last one but because of the last time his unique situation yeah if that's
- 1:07:39true then he's he's a psychopath clearly because why would you do that yeah like
- 1:07:44well the only thing is though I mean he doesn't really seem smart enough to like
- 1:07:49orchestrate some kind of it's definitely a weird one it's it's good television
- 1:07:53that's what it is certainly is yeah you watched the Jinx
- 1:07:58yet could it's not on Netflix so I couldn't I looked for it I I I defin
- 1:08:04watch I watched some more Forensic Files cuz I couldn't find it yeah
- 1:08:08right maybe maybe it's just not on the Australian Netflix yeah could be yeah I couldn't
- 1:08:14find it on there J NX the Jinx correct yeah yeah yeah no we looked we looked
- 1:08:20did you guys see this um this 10 Cloverfield Lane Trailer yeah yeah it
- 1:08:25looks pretty cool right yeah it does you didn't watch it Luke
- 1:08:30no it's um I mean loading it up now it's
- 1:08:34uh produced by JJ Abrams it's Bad Robot
- 1:08:37it's called 10 Cloverfield Lane so it's
- 1:08:42pretty safe to say it's Cloverfield related but it's completely different
- 1:08:48yeah like it's got I mean as far as I can tell nothing to do with it's not
- 1:08:54even it's not the same style is the first one the first one was all handheld
- 1:08:56just happens on the same street it looks like John Goodman's got either his kids
- 1:09:03or somebody else's kids locked in a bomb
- 1:09:06shelter under his house and they don't I don't know I don't quite know what
- 1:09:11happens but as the trailer progresses they seem to figure out that that
- 1:09:15they're not supposed to be there and he says don't go outside don't go outside
- 1:09:18and then you never find out quite what's going on looks interesting very
- 1:09:24interesting I saw a film that was very interesting
- 1:09:29this week has anyone else seen John Wick yeah did you like it the Kian Reeves one
- 1:09:34yeah Keanu yeah I did like it yeah me too I mean this is not going to win any
- 1:09:38awards right no it is what it but if you just want to see a movie with great action
- 1:09:45sequences Kiana Reeves in nice suits just [ __ ] wailing on dudes then John
- 1:09:50Wick is the [ __ ] movie for you like yeah it's good so this is direct did by
- 1:09:55a firsttime director who just happens to be Ki Reeves's stunt double like for
- 1:10:01many years right and so at some point he's obviously said to him I've uh I've
- 1:10:06written a movie starring
- 1:10:11you it's got a lot of stunts in it yeah it does it really does like starring
- 1:10:17me right no honestly like I'm not going to give anything away it's all in the
- 1:10:22trailer but some gangsters kill it's not a complicated they kill his dog right
- 1:10:28some gangsters kill his dog and it's quite sad it's quite sad that they kill
- 1:10:31his dog because [ __ ] you stay away from a man's dog you know yeah cuz cuz he got
- 1:10:35the dog after his wife died yeah that's right I think there's a yeah and then
- 1:10:40you know there's a back story he used to be a Hitman but he's gone straight and
- 1:10:43he his wife helped him kind of get out of that life and now she's dead and he's
- 1:10:48just looks after this little dog um and then [ __ ] kill his dog and he goes
- 1:10:54[ __ ] psycho psycho but there's just great action sequences in this the kind of action
- 1:11:00sequences you rarely see anymore and it's just it's just
- 1:11:06good I feel I'm talking to myself now that's all for this week thank you for
- 1:11:12listening and we hope you enjoyed the show if you enjoyed it then please
- 1:11:17subscribe and item to receive episodes
- 1:11:21automatically we'll see you next time
