Tornadoes ripped through the Dayton area Saturday night—three confirmed touchdowns near Franklin, Eaton, and west of Dayton—with rain so heavy it shattered a 68-year-old rainfall record in Dayton. Ten tornado warnings and one severe thunderstorm warning were issued as communities braced for damage, especially in Franklin, Jefferson Township, and Sidney (which saw 3-4 inches—the wettest spot).
