- 0:00Speaker 1: Most of these TikTok trend pranks aren't funny.
- 0:03Speaker 2: It's one more thing.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Armstrong and Getty. One more thing.
- 0:07Speaker 2: Yeah, when I hear TikTok. prank or something like that
- 0:11Speaker 2: i assume i'm not gonna find it funny and mostly
- 0:13Speaker 2: be horrifying uh before we get to that so uh
- 0:17Speaker 2: we played a lot during the show this clip of
- 0:19Speaker 2: ted cruz bad-mouthing il sayed up in michigan and executive
- 0:24Speaker 2: producer hansen put together a song to go with it
- 0:26Speaker 2: which was so good we thought we should feature it
- 0:28Speaker 2: here this this is ted cruz then the.
- 0:30Speaker 4: Song whatever he's questioned about this al sayed gets very
- 0:34Speaker 4: upset he gets very unhappy he stamps his little feet
- 0:42Speaker 4: I'm sorry, my nickname for the guy is the jihadist leprechaun.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Long question they'll say about his loyalty. He'll stamp his
- 0:54Speaker 3: little feet. He stamps his little feet. He gets so
- 0:58Speaker 3: mad about loyalty.
- 1:00Speaker 4: He starts to feel the heat and stomps his little feet.
- 1:04Speaker 2: He's the jihadist leprechaun. Jihadist leprechaun. The jihadist leprechaun.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Man, makes me want to drink a Guinness. That is
- 1:17Speaker 3: disturbing and hilarious.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Well, yeah, it's disturbing in that Hanson could put that
- 1:22Speaker 2: together in like two minutes.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Crap. As opposed to, you know, writing it and assembling
- 1:31Speaker 3: accomplished Irish musicians and rehearsing it a few times and saying, ah,
- 1:37Speaker 3: that tempo's draggy.
- 1:38Speaker 2: He stops his little feet.
- 1:40Speaker 3: He stops his little feet. Yeah, no, you just type
- 1:43Speaker 3: it in.
- 1:44Speaker 2: All the drunk guys come in.
- 1:46Speaker 4: Yes.
- 1:46Speaker 2: From the chorus. That's fantastic.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Well, I wish we enjoyed it. Well, we probably are. So, Katie,
- 1:56Speaker 3: what was that about online pranks? Okay.
- 1:59Speaker 1: So we have a clip that's been going viral. And yes,
- 2:03Speaker 1: it did result in a GoFundMe being made for the
- 2:07Speaker 1: employee that you're going to hear.
- 2:09Speaker 2: But this guy who goes by... There's a GoFundMe at
- 2:12Speaker 2: the end of this story. Okay, fantastic.
- 2:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:15Speaker 2: The guy who is doing the.
- 2:16Speaker 3: It's like the moral vote of our time.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 2:20Speaker 3: This person, I believe, is morally in the right, so
- 2:22Speaker 3: I will give them $ 20. It's very odd.
- 2:25Speaker 2: $ 20 or $ 20, whatever they want with.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:29Speaker 1: So the guy who's doing the air quotes prank, Walt Z,
- 2:34Speaker 1: he's wearing a pair of the Metaglasses, so it's not 100%
- 2:38Speaker 1: clear that the guy in the video is being filmed
- 2:40Speaker 1: right away. And he goes up to an employee who
- 2:44Speaker 1: works for Red Baron, but he's one of the guys
- 2:46Speaker 1: that goes into the grocery stores and restocks the product
- 2:49Speaker 1: for the company.
- 2:50Speaker 3: I'm sorry, Red Baron Pizza or Manfred von Richthofen, the
- 2:54Speaker 3: German World War I fighter pilot? Getting it. Who, by
- 3:02Speaker 3: the way, he was a nobleman, started as cavalry officer,
- 3:07Speaker 3: switched to the German Air Service in 1915 because trench
- 3:11Speaker 3: warfare made the cavalry obsolete. There's no record of him
- 3:16Speaker 3: at any point consuming any pizza.
- 3:19Speaker 2: He landed his plane and died on the plane, right?
- 3:23Speaker 2: They get out to his plane and he's dead.
- 3:26Speaker 3: I don't remember.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Yeah, he took a bullet in a firefight and landed
- 3:29Speaker 2: his plane, but then when they got out there, he
- 3:30Speaker 2: was dead.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Oh, he'll be missed. Anyway, back at the Red Baron
- 3:34Speaker 3: Pizza establishment.
- 3:37Speaker 1: So they are in a grocery store, and this guy
- 3:39Speaker 1: is restocking the Red Baron Pizza. And the big prank
- 3:43Speaker 1: is you go up to somebody and you ask them
- 3:45Speaker 1: what time it is to result in them bringing out
- 3:47Speaker 1: their phone, and then you have.
- 3:49Speaker 2: The little Apple Pay noise.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Loaded up on YouTube, and you hit the sound, and
- 3:55Speaker 1: it makes the person think that you have just stolen
- 3:58Speaker 1: money from them through their phone.
- 4:01Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:01Speaker 2: I'm not sure I would react to that.
- 4:02Speaker 3: I'm not sure that would work on me. I'd be like, oh,
- 4:04Speaker 3: I have a text, and they'll be like, no, you
- 4:07Speaker 3: old idiot. It's like I just stole something from you.
- 4:11Speaker 3: What do you mean you stole something from me? You
- 4:13Speaker 3: old idiot. You wasted on me. You are.
- 4:20Speaker 1: He did this to this poor guy, and it sounded
- 4:23Speaker 1: like this.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Hey, excuse me? You know what time it.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Is, boss?
- 4:27Speaker 4: 11.35.
- 4:28Speaker 2: What are you doing? Dude, thank you, bro.
- 4:32Speaker 3: I just took $ 10.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Out of this.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Huh?
- 4:34Speaker 2: But I need it. But I need it real quick.
- 4:39Speaker 2: I am not aiming for this crap right now. Apple Play? Dude,
- 4:42Speaker 2: do you hear me? I just need to buy something
- 4:44Speaker 2: real quick, though. You think this is funny, don't you?
- 4:46Speaker 2: Are you recording me right now?
- 4:47Speaker 4: Mm-hmm.
- 4:48Speaker 2: You should record me right now? No, I'm gonna go
- 4:50Speaker 2: report you. Thank you for the $ 20, man. I appreciate it.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Let's go outside, buddy. Are you for real, bro? It
- 4:57Speaker 2: is not that deep.
- 4:58Speaker 3: Oh, dude, I will destroy you.
- 4:59Speaker 2: It is not that. I mean, if you really want
- 5:00Speaker 2: to go outside. I don't know if you're recording me
- 5:01Speaker 2: or not. I don't know what's going on. But I
- 5:03Speaker 2: don't need this stuff right now. It's not that deep, man.
- 5:05Speaker 1: It was just a joke.
- 5:06Speaker 3: You're just a little punk asshole.
- 5:07Speaker 2: It was just a joke, bro.
- 5:08Speaker 1: It was just a joke.
- 5:08Speaker 2: It was just a joke. No, it's not a joke
- 5:11Speaker 2: to me, okay? I don't have time for this crap
- 5:13Speaker 2: in my life. My life is hard enough as it is. Okay,
- 5:15Speaker 2: I don't need this crap. I got kids at home.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Once a day without me right now. And I was
- 5:19Speaker 2: supposed to be at home an hour ago.
- 5:21Speaker 3: And I'm still out here working. And I got to
- 5:24Speaker 3: get up at 5 in the morning and do 10
- 5:26Speaker 3: more stores.
- 5:27Speaker 2: So this is not a joke to me.
- 5:30Speaker 3: And now I'm probably going to get kicked out of
- 5:31Speaker 3: the store because of you. Not funny!
- 5:36Speaker 2: Okay, I'm sorry.
- 5:37Speaker 4: No, you're not funny.
- 5:38Speaker 3: You got a smug look on your face.
- 5:40Speaker 2: I'm sorry, bro.
- 5:42Speaker 3: I'm sorry.
- 5:42Speaker 2: I don't need this in my life. No, I get you.
- 5:45Speaker 3: No, you don't. You're probably making money off this. I
- 5:47Speaker 3: can't even pay my goddamn mortgage.
- 5:50Speaker 2: And I got four kids at home.
- 5:53Speaker 3: So not funny!
- 5:54Speaker 2: I got you. I'm going to leave. I'm going to leave.
- 5:58Speaker 2: So is the question before us, is he a palb,
- 6:01Speaker 2: a punk-ass little bitch?
- 6:04Speaker 3: If the gentleman who was so aggrieved would not like
- 6:08Speaker 3: to lay an ass whooping upon the mumbling friggin' would-be
- 6:12Speaker 3: famous moron, I would be happy to stand in his stead.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 6:18Speaker 3: What a prick.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm more of the.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Roll my eyes just like, really? You freaking loser sort
- 6:26Speaker 2: of guy. But yeah, I get, yeah. I'm just, don't, no,
- 6:30Speaker 2: I'm all right. Well, and it was not clear.
- 6:32Speaker 3: He said, well, no, it's just a joke, bro. It's not,
- 6:37Speaker 3: it would not be clear to me at that point. Well,
- 6:40Speaker 3: wait a minute. Did you steal from me or did
- 6:42Speaker 3: you not? Now you're saying it's a joke, right? I
- 6:45Speaker 3: don't know which one is true.
- 6:46Speaker 2: Oh, And there's so many of these out there. The
- 6:53Speaker 2: ones where you scare people, particularly old people, just like,
- 6:57Speaker 2: what the hell?
- 6:58Speaker 3: Well, and it should have ended with that guy's blood
- 7:00Speaker 3: coming out of him. Yes, Katie.
- 7:02Speaker 1: And so there was an article actually written about this
- 7:05Speaker 1: whole prank and story. And in the article, it includes
- 7:09Speaker 1: certain instances where these pranks have resulted in serious harm.
- 7:15Speaker 1: In 2023, a YouTuber who shared prank videos was shot
- 7:18Speaker 1: and critically injured while playing a prank on a guy.
- 7:22Speaker 1: uh he apparently would go up to this guy in
- 7:25Speaker 1: the he was going up to this guy in the
- 7:27Speaker 1: mall and would not leave the guy alone just had
- 7:30Speaker 1: his camera in this guy's face and was trying to
- 7:32Speaker 1: go oh what are you trying to say dude this
- 7:34Speaker 1: was completely unprovoked and the guy got afraid and shot
- 7:38Speaker 1: him and there are these things that are like the
- 7:40Speaker 1: door kick challenge where all these kids are going up
- 7:43Speaker 1: and donkey kicking front doors and everybody's waiting for a
- 7:46Speaker 1: kid to get shot doing that it's just i don't
- 7:48Speaker 1: know i don't understand the idea of of torturing other
- 7:51Speaker 1: people for views or clicks or whatever it is now.
- 7:56Speaker 3: I'm not a violent man, but more ass beatens would
- 7:59Speaker 3: be good in this instance.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:02Speaker 2: The, uh, the leap out from behind something and scare
- 8:05Speaker 2: somebody who was older. And then when they react with
- 8:08Speaker 2: a fright that a human being had leapt out from
- 8:11Speaker 2: someplace they didn't expect, then that's the payoff, I guess.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:19Speaker 2: If you had a job or kids to raise or something,
- 8:22Speaker 2: you wouldn't have time for this nonsense. I know I
- 8:24Speaker 2: sound really sound like an old guy there. Oh, the
- 8:28Speaker 2: modern world. It's just so exhausting.
- 8:33Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 8:34Speaker 1: That story is gone all over the place. And yes,
- 8:37Speaker 1: there's a GoFundMe for that sweet guy that works for
- 8:40Speaker 1: Red Baron.
- 8:40Speaker 2: And I think it's like ninety five thousand.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Wow.
- 8:43Speaker 3: Really?
- 8:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:44Speaker 4: Wow.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Baron von Richthofen received a fatal wound just after 11 a.m.
- 8:51Speaker 3: on the 21st of April, 1918, at the Fourth Battle
- 8:55Speaker 3: of Ypres. Probably shot down or shot by Canadian novice
- 9:02Speaker 3: pilot Wilfred Reid Wap May.
- 9:06Speaker 2: And am I right? He landed his plane but was dead?
- 9:10Speaker 3: Yeah, he crashed it.
- 9:12Speaker 2: Okay. Maybe the legend is not true. I don't know.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Kind of a crash landing. Yes. Yes. They reached the
- 9:20Speaker 3: crash plane and found Rick Coffin already dead.
- 9:22Speaker 2: There you go. Great pizza. Great fighter for the Germans.
- 9:30Speaker 2: We were not rooting for the Germans.
- 9:32Speaker 3: The Germans.
- 9:33Speaker 2: Rooting against the Germans. We're glad he's dead, right? Well,
- 9:36Speaker 2: he's on the wrong side of history.
- 9:37Speaker 3: If he were alive at this point, it would be
- 9:38Speaker 3: extraordinary on several different levels.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And then for some reason, Snoopy was always fighting the
- 9:44Speaker 2: Red Baron. sitting on top of his doghouse.
- 9:47Speaker 3: He's a patriot.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Which was an odd thing that we all bought into
- 9:51Speaker 2: for some reason.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Real dog patriot, by God.
- 9:55Speaker 2: There you go.
- 9:58Speaker 3: Don't question us. If that ain't up on social media
- 10:29Speaker 3: by lunchtime, Hanson, we've made a terrible mistake.
- 10:32Speaker 2: No kidding. Yeah, I needed that song to be something
- 10:36Speaker 2: upbeat after that last story. There you go.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Thank you, Michael. Well done. Well done.
- 10:41Speaker 2: I guess that's it.
