- 2:50Speaker 1: won't want to miss it. Now, let's get into our
- 2:54Speaker 1: first case today. Kayshawn Williams was born on December ninth,
- 3:01Speaker 1: two thousand and seven. Guys, I have to tell y'all
- 3:04Speaker 1: my dad's birthday is also December ninth, so it kind
- 3:09Speaker 1: of made me think of him when I saw that,
- 3:11Speaker 1: so just wanted to share. But Kashawn was last seen
- 3:14Speaker 1: by his mother in Cleveland, Ohio, on June seventeenth, twenty
- 3:19Speaker 1: twenty three. Kashawn was fifteen at the time he disappeared. Now,
- 3:24Speaker 1: his mother, Sharis showed Snowden, followed a missing person report
- 3:28Speaker 1: the day her son went missing, but an Amber alert
- 3:33Speaker 1: was not issued for another seven days. I'm going to
- 3:38Speaker 1: just say, excuse the hell out of me. But what
- 3:40Speaker 1: in God's tarn nation took them seven days to issue
- 3:45Speaker 1: an amber alert. Somebody please drop it in the comments
- 3:51Speaker 1: because I need to know. June seventeenth started out as
- 3:55Speaker 1: a typical day with Kashawn and his mother having breakfast together.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Kashawn was excited about a party that he was going
- 4:03Speaker 1: to be attending that day, and his mom helped him
- 4:06Speaker 1: braid his hair for the day. Guys, that just made me,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I don't know, it made my heart, my mama heart swell.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Churis told Marvetta Rutherford that she had no idea that
- 4:19Speaker 1: would be the last morning she would spend with her
- 4:22Speaker 1: only child. Kashawn and his mother stayed in close contact
- 4:28Speaker 1: throughout the day as she was doing what most of
- 4:31Speaker 1: us moms do, and that's keeping tabs on your child, right.
- 4:36Speaker 1: She said. She kept in closer contact than usual because
- 4:39Speaker 1: she wanted to know more about this party he was
- 4:41Speaker 1: attending and where it would be. Later in the day,
- 4:46Speaker 1: as it got close to Kashawn's curfew, Schuris received a
- 4:50Speaker 1: call from Kashawn letting her know that he would be
- 4:53Speaker 1: on his way home soon. Guys. That is the last
- 4:57Speaker 1: time she spoke to her son. And unfortunately, Kashawn never
- 5:04Speaker 1: shared the address of the party he was attending that night,
- 5:08Speaker 1: and it was later revealed that he attended a party
- 5:11Speaker 1: and the Slavic Village area. Now I had never heard
- 5:16Speaker 1: of the Slavic Village, so I decided to do a
- 5:19Speaker 1: little side research and learn that the Slavic Village is
- 5:23Speaker 1: on the south side of Cleveland and Cleveland, Ohio and
- 5:27Speaker 1: is one of the oldest neighborhoods and it has served
- 5:31Speaker 1: as the home of many Czech and Polish immigrants. The
- 5:35Speaker 1: Slavic Village saw hard times when the housing market crashed
- 5:39Speaker 1: around two thousand and seven two thousand and eight. However,
- 5:43Speaker 1: since two thousand and nine, over sixty million dollars has
- 5:48Speaker 1: been invested to revitalize the area. Guys, that's amazing. Today
- 5:55Speaker 1: it is a very diverse, close knit community. When Kashawn
- 6:00Speaker 1: missed his curfew, his mom grew very concerned. She said
- 6:05Speaker 1: he was like a typical teenager and he had missed
- 6:08Speaker 1: curfew before, but had never been that late. She tried
- 6:14Speaker 1: calling him, but his phone kept going straight to voicemail,
- 6:17Speaker 1: which caused her concern to grow even more. She knew
- 6:21Speaker 1: he was like the majority of teenagers who loved their
- 6:25Speaker 1: phone and they kept it charged cause you might miss
- 6:28Speaker 1: the text. Right. Charies knew that this was a major
- 6:32Speaker 1: red flag and she immediately went to the police to
- 6:36Speaker 1: follow missing person report. Good job mom, good job. Now
- 6:42Speaker 1: police did finally issue an Amber alert, as I mentioned,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and it remains active today. There is a reward of
- 6:50Speaker 1: twenty two thousand dollars and you can remain anonymous to
- 6:55Speaker 1: receive this. Teresa said that she is still actively involved
- 7:01Speaker 1: in searching for her son and that she will never
- 7:04Speaker 1: give up. In a press conference earlier this year, she
- 7:08Speaker 1: spoke with the public about the false leads and tips
- 7:13Speaker 1: that are being called in, and she urged the public
- 7:17Speaker 1: to please stop all of that nonsense. Intentionally calling in
- 7:22Speaker 1: false leads in narratives is a horrible thing to do
- 7:28Speaker 1: to any parent, and she asks those who know where
- 7:33Speaker 1: her son is to please call now. His mom knows
- 7:39Speaker 1: that the kids who attended the party are not wanting
- 7:42Speaker 1: to come forward for whatever reason, but urges them to
- 7:46Speaker 1: please call and tell what they know. You can stay anonymous. Teenagers,
- 7:54Speaker 1: I want to tell you may not want your parents
- 7:58Speaker 1: to know you were at a party. If you may
- 8:00Speaker 1: not want to admit that there possibly was alcohol or drugs.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I don't know, but a child is missing. This mother,
- 8:09Speaker 1: it's her only child. Think about if you want missing,
- 8:14Speaker 1: would you want your mother to go to bed every
- 8:18Speaker 1: night wondering where you are? So what you might get
- 8:23Speaker 1: grounded for a little bit, you'll at least be home.
- 8:28Speaker 1: I want you to think about that Becausehan has been
- 8:31Speaker 1: missing over a year and his family desperately wants him home.
- 8:36Speaker 1: So I am imploring and begging you. Please, if you
- 8:40Speaker 1: know anything, no matter how small, please call eight six
- 8:46Speaker 1: six four wanted, or you can call the Cleveland Police
- 8:52Speaker 1: at two one six six two three five four zero zero.
- 8:58Speaker 1: I also want you to share Kashawn's missing poster flower,
- 9:02Speaker 1: which will be on our social media page. Help his
- 9:05Speaker 1: mom bring home her only child. Guys, think about it,
- 9:11Speaker 1: her only child. Okay, guys, we're going to jump into
- 9:18Speaker 1: our next case. In this case has been unsolved for
- 9:25Speaker 1: forty years, leaving family and friends with more questions than answers.
- 9:31Speaker 1: This is the story of Janet Landry Bryce. Imagine, guys,
- 9:37Speaker 1: It's the summer of nineteen eighty two in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
- 9:43Speaker 1: It is a warm, humid evening. Guys, if you haven't
- 9:47Speaker 1: been to Louisiana, you haven't been near to Bay. You
- 9:51Speaker 1: It is very humid and very sticky. It was the
- 9:55Speaker 1: kind of night where people head to their local bar
- 9:57Speaker 1: to unwind after a long day. Janet was a twenty
- 10:02Speaker 1: one year old woman with blonde hair and striking blue eyes,
- 10:06Speaker 1: and she did just that. By the end of the night,
- 10:09Speaker 1: Janet would vanish, leaving behind her car, her friends, and
- 10:15Speaker 1: leaving behind nothing but unanswered questions. So today we're going
- 10:20Speaker 1: to take a closer look at the details surrounding Janet's
- 10:24Speaker 1: disappearance and what we know about this haunting case. But guys,
- 10:31Speaker 1: because I'm on vacation, I'm going to say, pour yourself
- 10:35Speaker 1: a glass of wine. I know it's lunchtime there at home,
- 10:39Speaker 1: but I give you permission because we got a lot
- 10:41Speaker 1: to cover, Okay. Janet Landry Brice was born on July eighth,
- 10:46Speaker 1: nineteen sixty one. She was five foot seven and weighed
- 10:50Speaker 1: one hundred and ten pounds. She had a small frame,
- 10:54Speaker 1: but people said her presence stuck with those who knew her.
- 10:58Speaker 1: She was married and she was working as a bar maid.
- 11:03Speaker 1: I don't know why every news article said bar maid.
- 11:07Speaker 1: I'm going to just say a bartender. But unlike many
- 11:10Speaker 1: women her age, she was trying to navigate adulthood. But
- 11:16Speaker 1: on that night in August nineteen eighty two, everything would change.
- 11:21Speaker 1: That night she was at the bar. She was wearing
- 11:24Speaker 1: blue jeans and a white T shirt with black stripes
- 11:27Speaker 1: and the word Alaska printed on the front. She had
- 11:30Speaker 1: a distinctive tattoo of a flower on the webbing of
- 11:34Speaker 1: her hand, a scar on her forehead and another one
- 11:38Speaker 1: on her knee, and bumbs on both her forehead and chin. Guys,
- 11:43Speaker 1: these details may seem very small, but they're important because
- 11:49Speaker 1: to this day, no one has seen Janet again. Now
- 11:54Speaker 1: at the bar, Janet ran into a man she described
- 11:57Speaker 1: to her friends as an old school acquaintance. He's a mystery.
- 12:02Speaker 1: His name and identity remains unknown to this day. Janet,
- 12:08Speaker 1: in a friendly gesture, offered the man a ride home. Okay,
- 12:13Speaker 1: Along the way, she dropped off another friend, continuing with
- 12:17Speaker 1: the mysterious man towards the Cedar Crest area, But that's
- 12:21Speaker 1: where the trail went cold. Janet never made it back
- 12:25Speaker 1: to her apartment and she was never seen again. But
- 12:29Speaker 1: a few weeks later, her card a Ford Galaxy fine
- 12:32Speaker 1: hundred was found abandoned near bel Air High School in
- 12:37Speaker 1: East Baton Rouge. The keys were left inside. But guys,
- 12:41Speaker 1: here's the strange part. Different people in the neighborhood had
- 12:46Speaker 1: reportedly been driving it. So I want to say, if
- 12:56Speaker 1: you find a car with keys in it, you don't
- 13:00Speaker 1: drive it around and tell other people in the neighborhood.
- 13:04Speaker 1: You call the police and report an abandoned car with
- 13:10Speaker 1: keys in it, please, Okay. Janet was nowhere to be found,
- 13:17Speaker 1: and this made her disappearance even more suspicious. At the
- 13:23Speaker 1: time of her disappearance, Janet's husband was working offshore, with
- 13:28Speaker 1: no one at home to immediately raise the alarm. Days
- 13:32Speaker 1: passed before authorities begin piecing together her last known movements.
- 13:38Speaker 1: The man she was last seen with, he's never been
- 13:40Speaker 1: identified and to this day, no one knows who he
- 13:45Speaker 1: was or where he went, which makes me question if
- 13:51Speaker 1: she was driving him home and another friend. Did that
- 13:55Speaker 1: friend not ask his name? I'm just asking questions, But
- 14:01Speaker 1: let's take a step back for a moment. We've got
- 14:03Speaker 1: a woman who was last seen with an unidentified man,
- 14:07Speaker 1: a car found abandoned in a neighborhood where strangers had
- 14:11Speaker 1: been driving it, and no signs of Janet anywhere. It's
- 14:16Speaker 1: a case that raises so many questions, like who is
- 14:20Speaker 1: this man? What happened after Janet dropped off her friend?
- 14:24Speaker 1: And why was her car left in such a suspicious manner?
- 14:29Speaker 1: Why were random people driving it? Okay? If you're familiar
- 14:34Speaker 1: with cases like this, you'll know that sometimes even the
- 14:38Speaker 1: smallest detail can make all of the difference in uncovering
- 14:42Speaker 1: the truth. Janet had very distinguishing features that tattoo the scars, okay,
- 14:48Speaker 1: Yet despite these identifiable marks, there's been no trace of
- 14:53Speaker 1: her for over four decades now. People have said, could
- 14:58Speaker 1: her husband's absence have contributed to the delaid investigation? Maybe
- 15:04Speaker 1: he worked offshore. They do not always get to call
- 15:07Speaker 1: home every day. And also what about the community around
- 15:12Speaker 1: bel Air High School? Did anyone see when she or
- 15:18Speaker 1: her car showed up? And I really want to know
- 15:22Speaker 1: why did people start driving the car without alerting authorities?
- 15:27Speaker 1: Who the hell thought that was okay? I truly have
- 15:32Speaker 1: thought about that. Who thinks it's okay to find a
- 15:35Speaker 1: car with keys in it and just go take it
- 15:37Speaker 1: for a spin? I don't know anyone who would think
- 15:42Speaker 1: that was okay. Now we do not have the answers
- 15:46Speaker 1: to these questions yet. But we do know is that
- 15:50Speaker 1: Janice case deserves attention. The disappearance of a young woman
- 15:56Speaker 1: under any circumstances should not be forgotten. And guys, we've
- 16:01Speaker 1: seen that there are so many cold cases. Okay, it
- 16:05Speaker 1: just takes one person to come forward with a tip.
- 16:09Speaker 1: One person, okay, So I want you to think about
- 16:14Speaker 1: that because her disappearance remains unsolved, and she is considered
- 16:19Speaker 1: missing under suspicious circumstances, and over the years her case
- 16:25Speaker 1: has grown colder, but we can bring attention and awareness.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Her family is still holding out hope that someone has
- 16:37Speaker 1: the information needed to solve it. Guys, after forty years,
- 16:42Speaker 1: people start passing away and if they die, they take
- 16:46Speaker 1: those secrets with them. So please, if you are anyone
- 16:51Speaker 1: you know has information on the disappearance of Janet Landry Brice,
- 16:57Speaker 1: please contact the Sheriff's office at two two five three
- 17:03Speaker 1: eight nine five zero seven three. Remember any tip, no
- 17:09Speaker 1: matter how small, could make the difference. And let's do
- 17:14Speaker 1: our part. Let's be sure to share the missing person flyers.
- 17:21Speaker 1: So since I'm out of the country still, I thought
- 17:26Speaker 1: I would share some safety tips for traveling overseas and guys,
- 17:31Speaker 1: I'm glad I'm covering this and pre recording it for
- 17:35Speaker 1: you because I learned some things that I will be
- 17:39Speaker 1: practicing before I catch my flight next week. Number One,
- 17:44Speaker 1: research or destination. Okay, Understand the local laws, customs and cultures.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Check for travel advisories and updates from our government. There
- 17:58Speaker 1: are times that the US government says do not go
- 18:02Speaker 1: to Cancun, so you want to check that. Number Two,
- 18:06Speaker 1: keep copies of important documents. Make copies of your passport, visas,
- 18:13Speaker 1: and travel insurance. And you want to store digital copity
- 18:17Speaker 1: copies in a secure cloud based service, not just on
- 18:21Speaker 1: your phone. Three Register with your embassy. Okay. You can
- 18:29Speaker 1: sign up for the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program or whatever
- 18:33Speaker 1: your country's equivalent is, and you can provide your contact
- 18:37Speaker 1: details and your travel itinerary. Now this is a big one.
- 18:42Speaker 1: Get travel insurance. We all think travel insurance is just
- 18:47Speaker 1: to cover if your flight gets canceled. No, you want
- 18:51Speaker 1: to choose a comprehensive policy that covers health, theft, and cancelations.
- 18:58Speaker 1: You also want to make make sure it includes emergency
- 19:02Speaker 1: evacuation coverage. Guys, the first time I flew to the
- 19:07Speaker 1: Philippines alone. I didn't do that, and luckily a coworker said,
- 19:13Speaker 1: you need to get that emergency evacuation coverage. They have typhoons.
- 19:18Speaker 1: You might need to be flighted out of there. It
- 19:21Speaker 1: didn't happen, but I had never thought of that before.
- 19:26Speaker 1: So Number five stay connected okay, you want to purchase
- 19:32Speaker 1: a local SIM card if you need to. Most phone
- 19:35Speaker 1: plans now have international phone plans. Please share your itinerary
- 19:41Speaker 1: with family or friends, and try to stay in touch regularly.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I have heard people say, oh, well, I will just
- 19:49Speaker 1: keep a look on their Facebook or their Instagram. They'll
- 19:52Speaker 1: be posting pictures, and then when they go missing, they're like,
- 19:55Speaker 1: oh well they haven't posted, but I don't know where
- 19:57Speaker 1: they are. Please share you're itinerary. Number six. Keep valuables
- 20:05Speaker 1: secure okay. Use a money belt or a hidden pouch
- 20:10Speaker 1: for cash, cards and your passport. Guys, people will know
- 20:15Speaker 1: you're a tourist and some countries they will target you. Also,
- 20:20Speaker 1: keep your bag zipped, carry it close to your body
- 20:24Speaker 1: in crowded areas. I'm bad about that. Number seven. Use
- 20:31Speaker 1: trusted transportation okay, use official taxis or ride share services
- 20:38Speaker 1: like Uber or left. Do not I can tell you
- 20:41Speaker 1: when DOUBLEH and I went to Jamaica to get married,
- 20:45Speaker 1: we had a guy pull up to us and say, hey,
- 20:47Speaker 1: do you need a taxi? It was just a random
- 20:50Speaker 1: white car. We almost got in it. Thank god we
- 20:55Speaker 1: didn't because our car that we had ordered was laid Luckily,
- 21:00Speaker 1: it showed up once again. Number eight. Be aware of
- 21:05Speaker 1: your surroundings okay. Avoid walking alone at night in an
- 21:10Speaker 1: unfamiliar areas okay. Keep an eye on your belongings and
- 21:15Speaker 1: be cautious of pick pockets. Number nine. Avoid public Wi
- 21:21Speaker 1: Fi for sensitive transactions. Guys, do not log into the
- 21:27Speaker 1: countries Wi Fi and then go to your bank account
- 21:31Speaker 1: and transfer money or log into an account like that.
- 21:35Speaker 1: Do not do that. You're going to want to use
- 21:38Speaker 1: a VPN when accessing personal information or financial accounts. You
- 21:44Speaker 1: can get portable Wi Fi devices which are more secure, okay.
- 21:50Speaker 1: Number ten. Learn basic local phrases, guys. That does not
- 21:56Speaker 1: mean servevesa in Banios are the two Spanish words that
- 22:01Speaker 1: I know bathroom and beer. You need to know a
- 22:06Speaker 1: few local phrases. I know in finless Quito's means thank you,
- 22:11Speaker 1: but I am going to practice a few more because
- 22:16Speaker 1: knowing a few words in the local language can help
- 22:19Speaker 1: an emergency. Download a translation app for quick assistance. Google
- 22:25Speaker 1: Translate works wonderful. Okay. Number eleven. Respect local laws and customs. Guys.
- 22:34Speaker 1: The first thing I thought of when I saw this
- 22:37Speaker 1: was the Sex and the City movie where the girls
- 22:41Speaker 1: went to Dubai and Samantha did what Samantha does and
- 22:47Speaker 1: on the beach was doing naughty things, which is against
- 22:52Speaker 1: the law there. So you need to know what the
- 22:57Speaker 1: local laws and customs are. You need to be mindful
- 23:00Speaker 1: of dress codes, gestures, and social norms. For example, my
- 23:05Speaker 1: finger is broken, I need to be careful of doing
- 23:09Speaker 1: that while I'm traveling because they may think I'm just
- 23:12Speaker 1: being naughty and I'm not. Okay. Also, avoid political discussions
- 23:19Speaker 1: or taking photos of government buildings. You don't want them
- 23:23Speaker 1: to think you're spying or anything like that. Number twelve.
- 23:29Speaker 1: Stay healthy. Make sure you carry any necessary medication and
- 23:35Speaker 1: a basic first aid kit. I'm going to tell you
- 23:38Speaker 1: on that I carry my medication because I have some
- 23:42Speaker 1: that are very critical to me staying alive. I carry
- 23:45Speaker 1: them in my carry on. I do not check them
- 23:48Speaker 1: in my bag because I one time was going to
- 23:50Speaker 1: costa rica my suitcase went to Cuba and I didn't
- 23:55Speaker 1: get it back while I was on my trips. Also,
- 23:59Speaker 1: drink bottle water if the tap water is not safe.
- 24:03Speaker 1: And be cautious with street vendors. Okay, thankfully Finland excellent water,
- 24:10Speaker 1: excellent food, same thing in France. Number thirteen. No emergency numbers, guys,
- 24:19Speaker 1: I learned the last time I was in Finland. They
- 24:22Speaker 1: don't use nine one one. That is not their emergency number.
- 24:26Speaker 1: I want to say it's two to two two. I'm
- 24:29Speaker 1: going to look that up before I go, and I'm
- 24:31Speaker 1: going to learn what it is in France. So you
- 24:33Speaker 1: want to research that, and you want to save that
- 24:37Speaker 1: to your phone. You also, if you have a contact
- 24:40Speaker 1: in that country, you want to save them to your phone. Okay.
- 24:44Speaker 1: You also want to identify the nearest embassy or consulate
- 24:50Speaker 1: Number fourteen. Please be careful with alcohol. Yes, I'm telling
- 24:56Speaker 1: that to myself, Terry. Please do not drink all blind
- 25:02Speaker 1: in Nice, France or in Monaco while you're there. Okay.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Avoid excessive drinking, especially and unfamiliar environments. And please never
- 25:14Speaker 1: leave your drink unattended. Guys, I don't care where you are.
- 25:18Speaker 1: You don't do that. Even back home number fifteen. Like
- 25:22Speaker 1: I said last week, trust your instincts. If the situation
- 25:28Speaker 1: feels unsafe or uncomfortable, leave immediately. Listen to your intuition,
- 25:36Speaker 1: and prioritize your safety above all. Now these tips should
- 25:42Speaker 1: help ensure a safer and more endurable overseas experience. Like
