- 0:18Speaker 4: Or it's it's Alex who came in after that roast
- 0:22Speaker 4: in was just like I can't believe what I just saw.
- 0:25Speaker 2: I was ready to talk about it all day about
- 0:28Speaker 2: we all talked.
- 0:29Speaker 3: The four of us talked about it. You didn't want
- 0:35Speaker 3: this is.
- 0:35Speaker 5: Like, that's not my only.
- 0:41Speaker 4: General manager, I guess cannotes you know overall, like I'm
- 0:45Speaker 4: in charge of everything.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Whatever you wanted to true.
- 0:48Speaker 4: True, but but I think you know when that word
- 0:52Speaker 4: general manager, I think so I.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Want to come clean. I took a rocket shot of
- 0:56Speaker 3: you for your tweet about Rodney Harrison and Bill Belichick.
- 0:59Speaker 3: I thought that Buddy was falling all over themselves, like
- 1:03Speaker 3: this is the greatest thing I've ever seen, and it's
- 1:06Speaker 3: like the best line of the night.
- 1:12Speaker 6: They were wondering if I would be considered an external candidate,
- 1:15Speaker 6: which is a fair question.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Now by day I'm curious, as was talking about, I
- 1:22Speaker 3: want to know who I think less of.
- 1:23Speaker 5: This is Patriots Unfiltered presented by Toyota's official website for
- 1:28Speaker 5: deals by a Toyota dot com.
- 1:32Speaker 4: All right, welcome to Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 1:36Speaker 4: at Jullis Stadium. Rookie Mini camp is officially underway. No
- 1:41Speaker 4: no practice today, but guys are here.
- 1:44Speaker 7: They're probably measuring them, yeah, measuring, you know, measuring where
- 1:48Speaker 7: their outfits.
- 1:49Speaker 4: Here's your locker, Here's where the bathroom is, Here's where
- 1:52Speaker 4: the cafeteria.
- 1:53Speaker 7: Team is, your head size, you know, getting it all and.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Then tomorrow they'll hit the field.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I love one. Dude is silly.
- 2:00Speaker 4: Yeah, so we got that going. David Andrews is speaking
- 2:03Speaker 4: as we speak.
- 2:04Speaker 7: Yeah, how he Evan popped over there to uh yeah
- 2:07Speaker 7: check it out, and I think Godshaw as well. We'll
- 2:11Speaker 7: be speaking of it.
- 2:11Speaker 4: So it's Deuce, it's Tamara, it's Paul, it's Fred Matt
- 2:15Speaker 4: in the booth. Evan will be bye later.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I feel like there was a heavy emphasis on my name.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Well, it's we. People don't know if it's going to
- 2:21Speaker 3: be you or Alex rotating.
- 2:23Speaker 7: Sometimes people call and they're like, hi, Tamara or Alex.
- 2:27Speaker 3: That's it. It's otherwise it's rest I disagree with you.
- 2:31Speaker 4: It's like the shittoms where it's you know, Mike to
- 2:34Speaker 4: so Paul Perlo and featuring you know at the.
- 2:38Speaker 7: End, right right, so bad when guy's calling and they're like,
- 2:41Speaker 7: what's up, Tamara, and like you're not here or something,
- 2:43Speaker 7: you know, like sorry, buddy good.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Try the last switched this week.
- 2:47Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, she's anything. Godshaw is holding what he took
- 2:51Speaker 7: over for Laurence Guy. I think Mother's Day having some
- 2:54Speaker 7: mothers here and and giving them stuff for all that
- 2:57Speaker 7: baby crap. You remember that stuff paul A getting having
- 2:59Speaker 7: a bye I like strollers and diapers and all that
- 3:03Speaker 7: crap when your your kids are little.
- 3:05Speaker 3: Now you just that was long ago.
- 3:07Speaker 4: Amazon.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I was just watching a TikTok where a husband was
- 3:11Speaker 2: trying to maneuver three strollers. They had triplets, and it
- 3:14Speaker 2: was fascinating, Like.
- 3:16Speaker 7: You get so much crap when you have a baby
- 3:18Speaker 7: too that you think you need, like everyone's well you
- 3:19Speaker 7: need this, you need that, you know, and it's like
- 3:21Speaker 7: at the end of the day, you definitely need a
- 3:23Speaker 7: stroller and like a place for the baby to sleep,
- 3:26Speaker 7: but everything else.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Place for the baby.
- 3:29Speaker 7: There's a lot of like accessories though they try to
- 3:31Speaker 7: sell you on like well you got to get the
- 3:32Speaker 7: bumpers or else. No, you can't have the bumpers because
- 3:34Speaker 7: they'll roll into them and suffocate. You know, there's all that,
- 3:36Speaker 7: Like there's misinformation about baby.
- 3:38Speaker 3: It's a lot of hysteria. Yeah, I mean, car seats travel.
- 3:43Speaker 7: And they have to be like professionally installed too. You
- 3:44Speaker 7: can't just like, oh, strap it in, like it's like
- 3:46Speaker 7: you need a guy to come to I.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Was a baby.
- 3:48Speaker 4: When I was a kid, the car seat literally was
- 3:52Speaker 4: this thing you hook on the back of the seat
- 3:54Speaker 4: and it had like a bar that would come down
- 3:56Speaker 4: in front, and that was it.
- 3:57Speaker 2: That's what the horse draw the hor It's like when
- 4:00Speaker 2: you get in a roller coaster.
- 4:02Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I mean it was similar to that. Oh
- 4:04Speaker 3: my god, I had the same thing.
- 4:06Speaker 4: But you just like I had one with a steering
- 4:08Speaker 4: wheel on it, so you could pretend you were driving.
- 4:10Speaker 3: I'm serious, just to add things that couldn't pale you
- 4:14Speaker 3: in the effort. It was like that you got into it.
- 4:16Speaker 3: My mother smoking in the front with the windows up.
- 4:18Speaker 3: I mean it was.
- 4:19Speaker 7: But then there was like a certain point for what
- 4:20Speaker 7: like three years old, where they're like, no, just go
- 4:22Speaker 7: ahead and sit in the front seat, and you're fine.
- 4:23Speaker 7: Now there was no like like, there was no like
- 4:25Speaker 7: without a seatbelt?
- 4:27Speaker 3: Did you have any restriction? No front seat?
- 4:29Speaker 7: So no, my mom had a duster and matter you
- 4:32Speaker 7: must have you must have had a yeah, a certain
- 4:35Speaker 7: body weight weight.
- 4:37Speaker 3: I think it's a height.
- 4:38Speaker 7: Yeah, height, I'm fare.
- 4:40Speaker 3: So oh it was. It was a whole different thing.
- 4:43Speaker 7: No, they didn't care. Yeah, I mean you could drink
- 4:46Speaker 7: and drive right like you're driving, you're drinking, You're driving
- 4:48Speaker 7: your kids in the front seat, no car seat, and yeah,
- 4:50Speaker 7: we just what did we do? We loved it.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Yeah, we also know that my parents were drinking while they.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Were and then the car was Yes, the car was
- 4:58Speaker 4: just another room in the house. Well that's all it.
- 5:00Speaker 7: I did have an epiphany though, because I was like
- 5:02Speaker 7: going to something. I watched a kid's sport. It was
- 5:04Speaker 7: like a Sunday night, and I'm like, why can't I
- 5:06Speaker 7: just grab a beer for the ride over? I'm going
- 5:08Speaker 7: four miles I'm not going to be a drunk driver, Like,
- 5:10Speaker 7: can I just have a roadie for the road as
- 5:12Speaker 7: I'm going to the game to hang out? You know?
- 5:14Speaker 7: And Nope, Nope, I can't do that.
- 5:16Speaker 3: I worry about it. I noon like and then and
- 5:18Speaker 3: then driving isn't something that's like, you know, oh the
- 5:22Speaker 3: woke crowd is, you know, thanks Obama. It's like it's
- 5:25Speaker 3: it's not it's not a new phenomenon. I want to
- 5:28Speaker 3: be able to drink and drive again.
- 5:29Speaker 4: But then as people like started realizing, you know, we
- 5:31Speaker 4: probably shouldn't do this, you know, the real clever people
- 5:33Speaker 4: would have the brown paper bagh the can that hides it.
- 5:37Speaker 3: So I have the greatest story for that that you'll
- 5:40Speaker 3: ever hear. And when I was playing like Little League baseball,
- 5:44Speaker 3: I couldn't have been more than like ten down with
- 5:46Speaker 3: just down the park watching like another team's practicing after us,
- 5:50Speaker 3: and one of the coaches had a can, a beer
- 5:53Speaker 3: can and he had you know, one of those raps
- 5:56Speaker 3: that goes around it. I had one of those, and
- 5:58Speaker 3: he literally is sitting there drinking and then you walked
- 6:00Speaker 3: over it. He took the thing off through it, and
- 6:04Speaker 3: then he turned to and he came some.
- 6:06Speaker 4: Week like like he's so smooth. The rap that Paul's
- 6:10Speaker 4: talking about is the final wrap that stick to the
- 6:12Speaker 4: can that said Coca Cola or it was. It was
- 6:15Speaker 4: a beer can, and from a distance you couldn't tell
- 6:18Speaker 4: very clever, and I would when people would have house
- 6:20Speaker 4: parties with parents there, I would bring my wrap and
- 6:22Speaker 4: I'd be drinking beer, but it would say Coca on it,
- 6:25Speaker 4: so like you know, the mother.
- 6:26Speaker 7: Would subtly switch it out.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:28Speaker 7: Wow, Yeah, that's crazy people taking precautions back then, though,
- 6:32Speaker 7: I feel like back in your back in.
- 6:33Speaker 3: That day, oh, I was like an ever. I was
- 6:35Speaker 3: probably like ten. I don't know why you have to
- 6:37Speaker 3: look down on it, like I feel like there's money
- 6:40Speaker 3: and I don't know why.
- 6:42Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 6:42Speaker 7: I mean, I was there with my dad's softball team.
- 6:43Speaker 7: They were all boozing and dipping it, you know, like
- 6:45Speaker 7: what is this? You know they get that the chaw
- 6:48Speaker 7: which you know, oh yeah, oh my god, to Bacca,
- 6:50Speaker 7: like yeah.
- 6:50Speaker 3: To back softball. I I more than once took a
- 6:53Speaker 3: beer out to the outfield more than once.
- 6:56Speaker 7: Well, softball, but that's you're supposed to.
- 6:58Speaker 3: You know, you're encouraged throwing.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Adult And remember the commercial Paul No, I'm Walt Garrison.
- 7:02Speaker 4: I don't smoke, but I still enjoy tobacco.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Little cheat and go your full tobacco plasure. Yeah, well
- 7:10Speaker 3: we workshop that one out right, there was.
- 7:12Speaker 7: That I dipped twice. I almost. I threw up once almost.
- 7:14Speaker 7: Yeahe never dipped green. And even like we're not get
- 7:19Speaker 7: a whiff of that spearmn morrel.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Ye friends still got a winter green.
- 7:26Speaker 4: You gotta you gotta get, you just gotta work.
- 7:30Speaker 3: I didn't. I did a little bit playing baseball, but
- 7:32Speaker 3: I didn't like it. Yeah, I never did. I just drew.
- 7:37Speaker 3: All right, So what do we got? There?
- 7:38Speaker 4: We go?
- 7:38Speaker 3: What do we got?
- 7:40Speaker 7: What we got? We got a half hour practice on Saturday.
- 7:42Speaker 7: We're gonna get to watch. I think that's approximate what
- 7:44Speaker 7: it is, so i'd be interested to see with that
- 7:46Speaker 7: is down to a half I don't know that's what
- 7:48Speaker 7: the schedule set down. It was like it was.
- 7:51Speaker 3: It was availability eleven experts, but I think it takes
- 7:55Speaker 3: me longer to get in and back.
- 7:57Speaker 7: I think they're going to do six rookie podiums too,
- 8:00Speaker 7: so they'll go through two rounds of rookies. So we'll
- 8:01Speaker 7: get to before get and all the rookies extra live,
- 8:06Speaker 7: right to live, not just not Drake may or Jalen
- 8:10Speaker 7: Poet who doesn't go. They said six, So somebody's got
- 8:13Speaker 7: to sit up.
- 8:14Speaker 3: No Baker, no Baker, no Milton no Milton with me
- 8:17Speaker 3: into marispite right and no Baker. Obviously they don't want.
- 8:21Speaker 4: Joe to cause the distraction, so they want.
- 8:23Speaker 7: Well keep and I feel like we might should maybe
- 8:25Speaker 7: get out in front of this because Evan's been trying
- 8:27Speaker 7: to write a profile on Joe Milton and he's getting
- 8:30Speaker 7: like the hard Still Farm from Tennessee. Yeah, and he's been.
- 8:34Speaker 3: You know, trying to with all six round picks worry
- 8:36Speaker 3: about I know.
- 8:37Speaker 7: So he's just like, well, I don't know, like what
- 8:39Speaker 7: should I do. I don't know if I should write
- 8:40Speaker 7: it or what, you know, like should I not write it?
- 8:42Speaker 7: And I'm like, well, now people are going to think that,
- 8:43Speaker 7: like there's something else going on with Joe Milton that
- 8:46Speaker 7: we're not writing a profile on.
- 8:47Speaker 3: I thought he had something that he was doing a
- 8:51Speaker 3: he kind of a group.
- 8:53Speaker 7: Yeah, well that was with you n C. No, I
- 8:54Speaker 7: know that I don't know about.
- 8:56Speaker 3: He said there was something kind of similar that they
- 8:58Speaker 3: were trying to do with Tennessee.
- 9:01Speaker 7: For I figure maybe I don't know, but he's been
- 9:04Speaker 7: having trouble so if that was don't read yeah, maybe
- 9:07Speaker 7: I spoke with him, but I actually I spoke with
- 9:09Speaker 7: Gus Melzan about Javon Baker yesterday. So we did me
- 9:13Speaker 7: and it was me and Henry McKenna, What do you
- 9:15Speaker 7: have to bank bank Bank?
- 9:17Speaker 3: It was good.
- 9:18Speaker 7: I meant a lot of what you would expect. I mean,
- 9:20Speaker 7: just he's a he is you know, did the old
- 9:22Speaker 7: line of like contested fifty to fifty balls or eighty
- 9:25Speaker 7: twenty balls for him? I think we've heard that.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Before, his attitude, coachability. Yeah, no, he said his fifty
- 9:32Speaker 3: to fifty ball again. Yeah, okay with that.
- 9:35Speaker 7: But he said he's actually quiet. He said, he's he's like,
- 9:37Speaker 7: if you get him to talk, you're doing something. But
- 9:39Speaker 7: he's got a lot of a lot of confidence and
- 9:40Speaker 7: a lot of belief in himself, but generally really more
- 9:43Speaker 7: of a more of a.
- 9:43Speaker 3: Quiet agree with Tamara's face.
- 9:45Speaker 7: Yeah, but she didn't believe it.
- 9:46Speaker 3: If you get him to talk, you've you've done something.
- 9:49Speaker 7: I know.
- 9:49Speaker 3: He let off with the line about making everybody stand up.
- 9:52Speaker 7: I know, I know, I know it's and that's you know,
- 9:55Speaker 7: he was on problem.
- 9:56Speaker 2: He definitely was not giving introvert.
- 9:58Speaker 7: No, no, no, but I think he was maybe Jada
- 10:00Speaker 7: at that moment, and he was he was speaking out
- 10:02Speaker 7: a little bit. But but he but wrong use.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Of the word, Jada, What.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Did you when did you turn into the grammar police.
- 10:13Speaker 4: I've always I reckon. I used to always banter about that.
- 10:17Speaker 7: The Rhode Island director of Communication the Mayor's off.
- 10:20Speaker 3: So I got a call from and to hear about Eric. Eric,
- 10:24Speaker 3: he's making the rounds.
- 10:25Speaker 7: He's definitely you know, I sent him a text to
- 10:28Speaker 7: contacted me. So Eric Scalavino is the new director of
- 10:32Speaker 7: Communications for the Mayor of Providence, so he's in like
- 10:37Speaker 7: mini West Wing. I guess you could call it like
- 10:39Speaker 7: like not the West Wing, but like the Rhode Island
- 10:40Speaker 7: version of the South Wow.
- 10:43Speaker 5: Jean Valacenti's producer to get him on the radio interview.
- 10:46Speaker 7: But my my favorite thing though, was like I read
- 10:48Speaker 7: the th there's a press release out there somewhere and
- 10:49Speaker 7: it has like, you know, listing what Eric has been doing.
- 10:52Speaker 7: It was just it was pretty funny, like it just
- 10:54Speaker 7: like you know, his time here of what he was,
- 10:56Speaker 7: you know, I mean, everybody think pumps up there. Oh
- 11:00Speaker 7: it was significantly fluffed, significantly fluffed even as like recent
- 11:05Speaker 7: you know that he's been. But I mean it's true.
- 11:06Speaker 7: He did tell me he's been, you know, speech right,
- 11:08Speaker 7: spearheaded doing six some spearheading going on, for sure, but
- 11:13Speaker 7: happy for him. He seems excited. Uh, and yeah, it's
- 11:16Speaker 7: a whole new world for Eric. So good talk. I
- 11:18Speaker 7: guess I just I mean, of course, I'm inevitably waiting
- 11:20Speaker 7: for a Providence like controversy that Eric's gonna have to
- 11:23Speaker 7: be in the middle of and have to be putting
- 11:25Speaker 7: fires that left and right. And you know, it was
- 11:27Speaker 7: like this.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Massive scan providence is another like you know, yeah, I
- 11:33Speaker 4: think it is. Like for a while it was well,
- 11:37Speaker 4: forget about all that. It probably still is, but but
- 11:39Speaker 4: in terms of like economic development, it was nothing. And
- 11:42Speaker 4: then they they started really building and they did a
- 11:45Speaker 4: great job with downtown and surrounding areas. But I think
- 11:48Speaker 4: there's more to do. I think they could be even better.
- 11:50Speaker 7: Cat shelters. They got to improve the cat shelters. I
- 11:53Speaker 7: think it's probably the top cat sheltereading. He'll be spearheading
- 11:59Speaker 7: the cat shelter, a redevelopment plan, making sure all cats
- 12:02Speaker 7: have homes in Providence.
- 12:04Speaker 5: Yeah, there referred to Eric as one of the brightest minds.
- 12:09Speaker 3: That's a bright mind. Who is this now? That referred
- 12:12Speaker 3: to him as one of the brightest minds.
- 12:14Speaker 5: Bear Smiley talking about the two people that he just hired.
- 12:16Speaker 5: We hired some of the brightest minds in Rhode Island,
- 12:18Speaker 5: Eric Scalavino and Ted Carr.
- 12:20Speaker 4: Well, it's a small state, that's true.
- 12:22Speaker 3: Yeah, Fred, you've often said that.
- 12:23Speaker 7: Yeah, Matt, he's representing you now though, huh, I mean, yeah,
- 12:27Speaker 7: that's a Rhode Island resident. How do you feel saying
- 12:29Speaker 7: that's before to him.
- 12:30Speaker 3: On w p R O. That's a good job. He
- 12:34Speaker 3: must have known somebody. Yeah, that's awesome.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I wonder if I like bump into him one day.
- 12:39Speaker 3: That's right.
- 12:39Speaker 7: You're a Rhode Island residence, aren't Yeah, go by the state.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Eric. Was he still here one year?
- 12:47Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 12:47Speaker 3: Okay, well maybe half My first of you guys get
- 12:50Speaker 3: your tenures, like I was, never don't know who you
- 12:53Speaker 3: overlapped and you replaced the place? Then you what Andy
- 12:57Speaker 3: is to you? As Mike rees to me, there you go,
- 13:00Speaker 3: all right?
- 13:00Speaker 4: Eight five five pass five hundred is the ACE ticket
- 13:02Speaker 4: hout line web radio at Patriots dot com as the
- 13:05Speaker 4: email address. So it's it's pretty quiet other than the
- 13:08Speaker 4: rookies being here, no big moves to speak of.
- 13:13Speaker 7: I got I should have a question because I saw
- 13:14Speaker 7: somebody had gathered up the list of tryout guys that
- 13:17Speaker 7: are supposedly invited to this, which there were many.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, to be out there.
- 13:21Speaker 4: We should be getting, Yes, we should be getting that list,
- 13:23Speaker 4: and we'll make it public.
- 13:25Speaker 7: So there's going to be a bunch of Yeah, it's
- 13:27Speaker 7: a bunch of guys that try apparently get out of
- 13:30Speaker 7: the way.
- 13:30Speaker 3: I want to I believe. I think there's twenty of them.
- 13:33Speaker 7: Malcolm Butler was he was he a tryout He was
- 13:36Speaker 7: a tryout guy.
- 13:37Speaker 2: Was don't hold me to that because you know me,
- 13:39Speaker 2: ce T was John Jones undrafted, He was.
- 13:42Speaker 3: Undrafted, but he was not a tryout guy. Thing.
- 13:45Speaker 7: But they also haven't officially announced u DFA signings yet,
- 13:48Speaker 7: which I don't think tryout guys don't get a contract, did.
- 13:50Speaker 7: They kind of hold off on that. So if a
- 13:52Speaker 7: tryout guy looks pretty good, they have a roster spot.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Mean, I mean, my guess is those guys have signed,
- 13:57Speaker 3: but could be you might be right, and I think
- 14:01Speaker 3: we we'll probably get a list of all of those
- 14:03Speaker 3: guys when it won't just be the the eight draft picks,
- 14:06Speaker 3: it'll be the u d f as. And I don't
- 14:10Speaker 3: know if they have to tell us who the tryout
- 14:12Speaker 3: guys are, but it seems to be kind.
- 14:14Speaker 4: I think I've asked for that. I've been told we
- 14:16Speaker 4: will get an efforted that.
- 14:18Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, somebody. I think.
- 14:19Speaker 3: I just think it's interesting.
- 14:20Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 14:21Speaker 7: I think Carlos talks pats, which is a new Twitter
- 14:24Speaker 7: account I've come across. They think he compiled all of them.
- 14:26Speaker 7: So just a bunch of you know, try out guys.
- 14:28Speaker 7: Nobody really of note. Peru University is that a thing?
- 14:32Speaker 7: Peru State? Is that an actual place?
- 14:34Speaker 2: No?
- 14:35Speaker 3: Local in South America, in Peru, I don't know. I
- 14:37Speaker 3: just downtown local. Eric is the charture of communications Bringfield College.
- 14:44Speaker 7: Nothing like the Kobe Tippets of the World or that. No,
- 14:48Speaker 7: I don't know nobody that really that really stood out
- 14:50Speaker 7: to me. But I don't know. It's just it changes
- 14:52Speaker 7: the dynamic of it because you thought you were going
- 14:53Speaker 7: to get out there and.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Have the Holy Cross kid get on a team. Yeah.
- 14:57Speaker 7: Well the lineman got drafted by Kansas City and the
- 15:02Speaker 7: receiver didn't get drafted, but he ended up with the Panthers. Yeah,
- 15:06Speaker 7: so they both landed. He was on my back of
- 15:08Speaker 7: the envelope. Yeah, yeah, they good. Good, good video of
- 15:12Speaker 7: the c J Hansen who you know, you just I
- 15:14Speaker 7: mean he broke down when he was drafted by the Chiefs.
- 15:16Speaker 7: He can understand. I mean, it's great spot for him
- 15:19Speaker 7: going and developed really athletics. So yeah, we'll see see
- 15:22Speaker 7: how those guys do.
- 15:23Speaker 3: Okay, all right, anything else?
- 15:26Speaker 9: No, no?
- 15:27Speaker 3: Yeah, And you also, I don't know what the Patriots
- 15:29Speaker 3: will do. Obviously this is a new regime. But you
- 15:33Speaker 3: can get random people out there too for a rookie
- 15:36Speaker 3: mini camp, even non rookies because not you per se,
- 15:42Speaker 3: I'm not playing hockey and that seems to be the
- 15:43Speaker 3: only thing that you know anything about. But every once
- 15:48Speaker 3: in a while, you'll get like first year guys. You know,
- 15:52Speaker 3: guys that were rookies during training camp last year never
- 15:55Speaker 3: really made the team. But maybe they were on the
- 15:56Speaker 3: practice squad, maybe they got injured, stuck around for a year.
- 16:00Speaker 3: I can't fake of one off the top of my head,
- 16:03Speaker 3: but you might get like twenty twenty five guys out there. Yeah,
- 16:06Speaker 3: you know, depending on how many signings half hours.
- 16:09Speaker 7: It's a once a minute each.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Let's go, let's go.
- 16:15Speaker 7: I want to see Drake may Let's go.
- 16:17Speaker 3: TJ's got a game at noon. I'm not sure I'm
- 16:19Speaker 3: missing the game for a half hour practice.
- 16:23Speaker 4: And practice isn't quotes.
- 16:24Speaker 7: Well, it feels like this is all like just getting
- 16:27Speaker 7: getting a baseline where the field is, how it kind
- 16:30Speaker 7: of works, and how we stretch, you know, I mean
- 16:32Speaker 7: I'm literally expecting how to stretch. Like that's what the
- 16:34Speaker 7: whole half hour is.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Going to be. So Fred, this was the whole basis
- 16:37Speaker 3: of Andy's call to me yesterday, Yeah, trying to figure
- 16:40Speaker 3: out what the hell he wanted to hear. So are
- 16:41Speaker 3: you going? And I'm like, well, I was planning on.
- 16:45Speaker 3: He goes, well, like and he tells me this whole
- 16:47Speaker 3: thing because Jackson has a game, he doesn't want to
- 16:49Speaker 3: miss the game, and he has to do a podcast,
- 16:53Speaker 3: so he wants me and Giardi to go on the box.
- 16:55Speaker 7: Can you guys just do it? So it looks like, well,
- 16:58Speaker 7: this is so the same Andy heart that's we did out.
- 17:00Speaker 7: This was like the most excited he's been to see
- 17:02Speaker 7: camp and forever because they gotten out. He's like, and
- 17:04Speaker 7: now he's already tapped them.
- 17:05Speaker 3: Out for rookie camp, Like this is a number one
- 17:08Speaker 3: of those things like fair enough, fair enough, We've been
- 17:10Speaker 3: to a lot of rookie camps, and they've done it
- 17:12Speaker 3: in a lot of different ways. Like they used to
- 17:14Speaker 3: have a specific rookie mini camp like they're calling this.
- 17:18Speaker 3: They've also had like the first like media availability for
- 17:24Speaker 3: OTA was all young guys, all rookies. Like that's our
- 17:28Speaker 3: first impression of Julian Edelman was a rookie mini camp.
- 17:32Speaker 3: It was an OTA, but it was just rookies. Yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 3: So like they've done it and they've had it open
- 17:38Speaker 3: and then they've done it different ways, you know, over
- 17:40Speaker 3: the years. This is back to the way they used
- 17:42Speaker 3: to do it.
- 17:43Speaker 7: I'm just gonna assume that there's nothing and I'm hoping
- 17:46Speaker 7: this too, that there's nothing that we could that like
- 17:47Speaker 7: anyone can run with or try to say like, well,
- 17:49Speaker 7: they did a drill, they did some seven on seven work,
- 17:52Speaker 7: and right, this guy looked amazing and this guy looked terrible.
- 17:55Speaker 7: And that's how it's gonna be. Sorry, you know, I.
- 17:57Speaker 3: Want to prepare you for that.
- 17:58Speaker 7: It's gonna happen.
- 17:59Speaker 3: We'll do it.
- 18:00Speaker 7: Yeah, Like Jalen Polk can't touch his toes and stretching,
- 18:03Speaker 7: I mean, it's not looking good. Guys. Sorry, how does
- 18:06Speaker 7: he come up with these right off the top of this.
- 18:08Speaker 3: You're very impressive.
- 18:09Speaker 7: Mic Wow, thanks, I appreciate it.

- 19:02Speaker 4: was thinking of reading that like I was announcing the
- 19:04Speaker 4: Kentucky Derby Race.
- 19:05Speaker 7: Oh geez, the.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Game do you have?
- 19:09Speaker 7: That's an old timey sports sports guy kind.
- 19:11Speaker 4: Of you know, Brady's Horse came in sixteenth. He was
- 19:15Speaker 4: involved in that in the favorite Oh really yeah, ferocious
- 19:18Speaker 4: or fastness or something.
- 19:19Speaker 7: I didn't I didn't watch it. I didn't watch it.
- 19:21Speaker 3: No, no, I'm not, you know, I don't. I don't
- 19:23Speaker 3: know wat your hat on? And it was I did
- 19:26Speaker 3: not have my hat on, and I know nothing about
- 19:28Speaker 3: horse racing. But that was a really exciting finish. Did
- 19:31Speaker 3: you guys see I did all? I sure did. It
- 19:34Speaker 3: was like three horses, like it was a photo finish,
- 19:38Speaker 3: but it was really really close with three guys. I
- 19:40Speaker 3: was rooting for forevery young for any particular reason, just
- 19:45Speaker 3: my personal reason, but one of my uh, one of
- 19:47Speaker 3: my friends. But he was the I think he finished third.
- 19:52Speaker 3: He was in the middle of the two and there
- 19:53Speaker 3: was like a photo finish and it was impossible to
- 19:56Speaker 3: tell you won.
- 19:57Speaker 7: Yeah, that's pretty cool.
- 19:58Speaker 3: It was exciting. One hundred and fifty thousand people there.
- 20:02Speaker 7: I have a new found appreciation for it. I wish
- 20:04Speaker 7: I watched it. I just read this book Horse, which
- 20:05Speaker 7: is really good about this old horse named Lexington. Recommend
- 20:08Speaker 7: it for your reading group if you like it. But
- 20:10Speaker 7: I didn't realize, like just it's a whole subculture to read.
- 20:13Speaker 7: I just tried to do like twenty minutes a night
- 20:15Speaker 7: before bad might sit down, get.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Off my screen a lot. You're a very.
- 20:20Speaker 7: Very I turn over leaf a couple years ago. I
- 20:22Speaker 7: wanted to read more books, so I want to read.
- 20:24Speaker 7: Get a kindle. I just I can't read every night. Yeah,
- 20:27Speaker 7: Korean upstairs, she's a big reader.
- 20:28Speaker 2: We've I can see that.
- 20:30Speaker 7: But she put me in a box though. She's like, well,
- 20:31Speaker 7: I assume you read a lot of like sports history,
- 20:34Speaker 7: and I was like, actually, I read a book called
- 20:36Speaker 7: Horse and I don't even like horses.
- 20:38Speaker 3: Mister Red.
- 20:38Speaker 4: Yeah, oh, Wilbur, all right, we got it back to Uh,
- 20:43Speaker 4: let's go to the phone calls on the A stick
- 20:45Speaker 4: and hutline. Christian's in La. What's up Christian?
- 20:49Speaker 3: Hey you guys, good, good afternoon there. Hello.
- 20:54Speaker 8: I just spoke to the guy before on cat too,
- 20:57Speaker 8: and we talked about Drake May being ready to hit
- 21:00Speaker 8: the field. Felt like continued on that for me was.
- 21:06Speaker 10: Kind of the blind gel together. Sarah Smith, you know what,
- 21:10Speaker 10: I'm out there and yes, missed some protection.
- 21:14Speaker 4: Yeah you're cutting in and out.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Christian, Sorry about that.
- 21:17Speaker 4: But what are the what are the circumstances that you
- 21:20Speaker 4: would allow Drake May out there right from the start.
- 21:24Speaker 7: I just think it's hard to know, like the protection's ready, right, Like,
- 21:27Speaker 7: it's just so hard to know. You know, he's athletic, mean,
- 21:31Speaker 7: we talked about it. It's how he looks and thretain practice.
- 21:33Speaker 3: It would be to me, it will be all about him,
- 21:35Speaker 3: how he how the coaches feel he's picked up the offense.
- 21:38Speaker 7: And I just I think it's underrated too about how
- 21:40Speaker 7: athletic he is. To get away from some of that stuff,
- 21:43Speaker 7: you know, Like I think I'd be more worried about
- 21:45Speaker 7: protection if it was Mac. It's he never going to
- 21:47Speaker 7: be perfect. It's never going to be perfect, never going
- 21:49Speaker 7: to be perfect, you know, And it's it's and but
- 21:52Speaker 7: what we did see out of Mac in that first
- 21:53Speaker 7: camp was that he had no problem initially keeping his
- 21:57Speaker 7: eyes down field, not getting happy feet, staying in there
- 22:00Speaker 7: and delivering the ball. That stood out to me so much.
- 22:02Speaker 4: And he made mistakes, he had picks and you know, sure,
- 22:05Speaker 4: but it's it's a general sense from the coaches that
- 22:09Speaker 4: he knows what he's doing.
- 22:09Speaker 3: I mean, if if I'm gonna wait until like they
- 22:12Speaker 3: have the mid nineties Dallas Cowboys offensive line. Then I'm
- 22:18Speaker 3: not gonna be able to see him play. That's that
- 22:21Speaker 3: would be perc I agree with Christian, that would be perfect.
- 22:23Speaker 3: But it's interesting never going to be.
- 22:25Speaker 2: I think there are more teams last year that had
- 22:27Speaker 2: bad offensive lines than like really good ones. There are
- 22:30Speaker 2: a lot of quarterbacks that were dealing with mismatch offense.
- 22:33Speaker 4: And then the question is are the lines getting worse
- 22:36Speaker 4: or is the defense is getting better? True?
- 22:38Speaker 7: You know, I mean I think it's I think definitely
- 22:40Speaker 7: defense is getting better is part. I mean all the
- 22:42Speaker 7: studs are on the defensive side.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Of If you talk to people and I am not
- 22:46Speaker 3: one of these because I am not the offensive line guru,
- 22:49Speaker 3: but if you talk to those people that really follow
- 22:51Speaker 3: the offensive line, they'll tell you the lines are getting
- 22:53Speaker 3: worse because of the systems they're playing in college are
- 22:56Speaker 3: not conducive to offensive line play. It's a lot of
- 23:00Speaker 3: calls from the line of scrimmage, they check with the coach,
- 23:03Speaker 3: they run a play, it's the spread, so there's not
- 23:06Speaker 3: you know, there's not a lot of technical work for
- 23:09Speaker 3: the offensive lineman, and they say that's affected the play.
- 23:12Speaker 7: Yeah, it's interesting, is like because they're bigger than ever yeah,
- 23:15Speaker 7: I tell you that. Yeah, and you guys could probably
- 23:18Speaker 7: talk this a little bit. I said on last show,
- 23:20Speaker 7: like I was interested just to see these two wide receivers,
- 23:22Speaker 7: like I haven't really seen. I mean I do have
- 23:24Speaker 7: a little bit of the sample size of seeing rookie
- 23:26Speaker 7: receivers Nikhil Harry my first year. You know, I've kind
- 23:29Speaker 7: of gotten a sense now of quarterbacks in training camp,
- 23:32Speaker 7: like watching Stidham the first year against Brady. You know,
- 23:35Speaker 7: it's like each year you kind of get a new
- 23:38Speaker 7: perspective maybe on position groups that are kind of coming in,
- 23:41Speaker 7: you know. And I mean I was just thinking about
- 23:42Speaker 7: you guys where you were just watching Brady, right, so
- 23:45Speaker 7: you would see like you know, Ryan Mallet come in
- 23:47Speaker 7: or a whore. You know, you'd see like a backup
- 23:49Speaker 7: come in and get some reps.
- 23:50Speaker 4: But it looked terrible. Yeah, yeah, everybody looked terrible. And
- 23:54Speaker 4: then and then we realized it's hard. It's not that
- 23:57Speaker 4: it's that Brady's so good. Yeah, he just makes them
- 23:59Speaker 4: all right.
- 24:00Speaker 7: And then all of a sudden it happens like and
- 24:02Speaker 7: I mean for me, like I said on the show
- 24:04Speaker 7: on Tuesday, like I haven't seen like an elite wide
- 24:06Speaker 7: receiver out there, at least for the Patriots. You know,
- 24:08Speaker 7: it's it's I mean Edelman the first year, I don't
- 24:11Speaker 7: I mean, he was kind of at the end. I
- 24:13Speaker 7: kind of remember them managing him. But you know, it's
- 24:15Speaker 7: just and last year you got to see Gonzales and
- 24:17Speaker 7: it was like, all of a sudden, like so this
- 24:19Speaker 7: is what an elite corner moves like.
- 24:20Speaker 4: You know.
- 24:20Speaker 7: So it just the knowledge base I feel like kind
- 24:23Speaker 7: of increases each year, but it it's kind of dependent
- 24:25Speaker 7: on what position they need. And sometimes, like you guys
- 24:27Speaker 7: watch Brady forever and it was, you know, like this
- 24:29Speaker 7: is the standard. Everything else looks like crap, And I'm
- 24:32Speaker 7: kind of the opposite with receivers right now. It's like
- 24:33Speaker 7: everything's looked like crap. Can someone just come in here
- 24:35Speaker 7: and be like, oh, so this is what a really
- 24:37Speaker 7: good wide receiver looks like.
- 24:38Speaker 3: You know.
- 24:38Speaker 4: That's that's what I remember when Moss first got here.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it was like, but that's a good
- 24:43Speaker 3: point like about Gonzales because he did look different than
- 24:46Speaker 3: the guys that we had seen, you know, And probably
- 24:50Speaker 3: the best talking about young receivers now was probably Jacobe Myers. Yeah,
- 24:54Speaker 3: like when he came in. We were like, this guy
- 24:55Speaker 3: looks like he has a little something, you know. Even
- 24:57Speaker 3: and remember, Megan O'Brien was really high.
- 24:59Speaker 7: On who was throwing off today today the White Sox. Sorry, miss,
- 25:04Speaker 7: I just so Megan O'Brien living her dream. Uh, finally,
- 25:08Speaker 7: I believe that she actually promoted that she tweeted that
- 25:13Speaker 7: she took she took to social media.
- 25:15Speaker 3: No, that's great for her. That's something she always wanted
- 25:17Speaker 3: to do. The first pitch.
- 25:21Speaker 4: We'll have to get video of that.
- 25:22Speaker 7: Yeah, well maybe she'll put it on social media.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe you might see it, you know, maybe Scott's
- 25:30Speaker 3: and Lynn.
- 25:30Speaker 7: Hey Scott, Hello, Hello, hey Scott.
- 25:36Speaker 11: I just think we made a big mistake with drafting
- 25:40Speaker 11: Jalen Polk over Aiden Mitchell. Okay, I think that Aiden
- 25:46Speaker 11: Mitchell is going to be ten times better wide receiver
- 25:49Speaker 11: than Jalen Pope will have a be I think he's
- 25:51Speaker 11: more of a two and never will be a one.
- 25:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and that's all that could be, you know that, Scott,
- 25:58Speaker 3: Thanks Scott. I liked Mitchell more. I am really gonna
- 26:04Speaker 3: watch to see what caused him to drop in the
- 26:08Speaker 3: draft and if it was valid, you know, if it's
- 26:12Speaker 3: just about these behavioral things from stemming from diabetes. I'm
- 26:18Speaker 3: going to be looking at that with a really curious
- 26:22Speaker 3: If it's something more than that, then I don't you know,
- 26:24Speaker 3: if they had some information on him, you know that's
- 26:28Speaker 3: more serious than that, then yeah.
- 26:30Speaker 2: I mean they weren't the only ones that passed on
- 26:32Speaker 2: a lot. The bills could have had him, like eighty
- 26:35Speaker 2: is better than I.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Think he went. Yeah, right, he fell all the way
- 26:40Speaker 3: down to fifty two.
- 26:41Speaker 2: So it's just like the Pagers weren't the only people
- 26:44Speaker 2: who plastered on them. So whatever information it is, but he's.
- 26:48Speaker 3: More talented than than Coleman, as Tamara said, than probably
- 26:52Speaker 3: then poll and.
- 26:53Speaker 7: He's the better fit for what they kind of need.
- 26:55Speaker 7: And I think people have now transferred that to the
- 26:57Speaker 7: fourth round pick of Jayvon Baker for some reason, you know,
- 27:00Speaker 7: well I guess not for some reason for obvious reasons.
- 27:02Speaker 7: Is he looks like that guy and he's kind of
- 27:03Speaker 7: got that swag. But I mean it's very possible, Scott
- 27:06Speaker 7: is right, it's very possible that he fell for reasons
- 27:10Speaker 7: that don't really matter, and people were kind of spooked
- 27:11Speaker 7: about him, and now he's getting his chance and he
- 27:13Speaker 7: actually turns into that outside receiver that I think I'll.
- 27:16Speaker 4: Be okay, and I think most Patriot's going to be
- 27:19Speaker 4: If he's good. As long as Polk is good too,
- 27:21Speaker 4: then fine.
- 27:22Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, And I just I mean, I I
- 27:24Speaker 7: just hate, you know, I agree with the general point,
- 27:26Speaker 7: but I just hate taking a shot at Polk because
- 27:28Speaker 7: I feel like Polk is a tough football player and
- 27:30Speaker 7: I'm excited to have him on the team. Is he
- 27:32Speaker 7: exactly what they need? Is he going to be the
- 27:34Speaker 7: superstar that you know would transform this offense? I don't.
- 27:37Speaker 7: I'm not going to make that case, but I think
- 27:39Speaker 7: that he is the kind of player, you know, not
- 27:41Speaker 7: like not like the young Branch. He's not like Deon Branch.
- 27:43Speaker 7: But remember how Dion Branch just caught every when the
- 27:46Speaker 7: game was on the line, especially in Super Bowl. He
- 27:48Speaker 7: got open and caught got open and caught the ball.
- 27:50Speaker 7: And you know, was he a number one? Was he
- 27:51Speaker 7: a guy that stretched the defense? And probably not? But
- 27:54Speaker 7: you know, I think Polk can live in that world
- 27:56Speaker 7: of the twos and the threes of the world. And
- 27:59Speaker 7: you know, I just I've seen some videos of his hands,
- 28:01Speaker 7: just like Giant. You know, he's just him and Baker.
- 28:03Speaker 7: They both look like really competitive dudes, and I just
- 28:06Speaker 7: love the energy that they brought, that they're hopefully going
- 28:09Speaker 7: to bring and that you know we're going to see
- 28:10Speaker 7: out there.
- 28:10Speaker 2: And I'm like wondering what he's going to look like
- 28:13Speaker 2: coming out of the shadows of a Dounsay, Like he's
- 28:15Speaker 2: been in his shadow. Obviously he still had over a
- 28:17Speaker 2: thousand yards in Washington, but I'm like, I wonder what
- 28:19Speaker 2: you look like here without him?
- 28:21Speaker 7: Well, and I've heard that too, And I think the
- 28:23Speaker 7: thing that I think about is just with some of
- 28:24Speaker 7: his highlights, when you see him laying out for passes,
- 28:26Speaker 7: which is like, to me, it's like, well, that's not
- 28:28Speaker 7: really about a Donsay. This is just about a kid
- 28:30Speaker 7: who's willing to put his body on the line and
- 28:32Speaker 7: lay out for stuff like that, And I think it
- 28:34Speaker 7: just shows his play style. But you know, watching them
- 28:37Speaker 7: kind of together, it was like a Dounsa was like
- 28:39Speaker 7: Polk on steroids. Like if you gave Polk an extra couple,
- 28:42Speaker 7: you know, a couple of inches and a few more
- 28:44Speaker 7: pounds and a little more speed, like that's what he
- 28:46Speaker 7: would be. But they both kind of play the same way.
- 28:48Speaker 7: They're both tough guys who you know, get the ball
- 28:51Speaker 7: and they try to fight for every yard and that's
- 28:52Speaker 7: the kind of stuff that, you know, I think goes
- 28:54Speaker 7: a long way for a football team.
- 28:56Speaker 4: Bronson is in Utah. Hey Bronson, Hey.
- 29:00Speaker 10: How you guys doing today?
- 29:01Speaker 3: Okay?
- 29:01Speaker 10: Hey, good? So I was just talking to Evan a
- 29:05Speaker 10: little bit this morning. I think one guy that we're
- 29:08Speaker 10: really overlooking, especially for like kick returner, is Marcus Jones.
- 29:12Speaker 10: I mean, that guy was absolutely electric last year. He
- 29:16Speaker 10: had what offensive TD, cake, return TD, picks six and
- 29:22Speaker 10: a return TD. Yeah, so I think he's pretty much
- 29:26Speaker 10: a lock for our kick returner and hopefully it can
- 29:28Speaker 10: be our starting swap corner as well.
- 29:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean he's absolutely the I don't think anybody.
- 29:35Speaker 10: Had talked about. Is Jake Bates, the kicker from the UFL.
- 29:40Speaker 4: Oh, the guy that's hitting sixty yarders.
- 29:42Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:43Speaker 10: Yeah, So he's the only kicker other than Tucker to
- 29:48Speaker 10: hit sixty plus in back to back weeks, and he's
- 29:51Speaker 10: the only kicker to hit three sixty yarders in a season.
- 29:56Speaker 10: I'm just curious if any of you guys know what,
- 29:59Speaker 10: like when we have to wait to like sign him,
- 30:01Speaker 10: do teams have to wait till the end of the
- 30:03Speaker 10: UFL season or what that process is, Like.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I doubt it. Why would they You know, it's
- 30:09Speaker 4: good for the UFL. If guys get signed out of that.
- 30:12Speaker 3: Lead, they might have an agreement in place that they
- 30:15Speaker 3: have to stay through the you know that they have
- 30:17Speaker 3: to the NFL has to wait through the season. But
- 30:21Speaker 3: not think like, yeah, I'm with you. Well, Marcus Jones
- 30:24Speaker 3: is the return absolutely, Like, I don't think anybody's overlooking him.
- 30:27Speaker 3: He was the returner two years ago, he was the
- 30:30Speaker 3: returner last year, and then he got hurt the second
- 30:33Speaker 3: game of the year. I think it was Miami Night game, yep,
- 30:36Speaker 3: So he didn't play all year. I don't think anybody's
- 30:38Speaker 3: forgetting about No. I mean, I do think he's quite dynamic.
- 30:41Speaker 3: Especially does he fit what they want to do with
- 30:43Speaker 3: the new kickoff returns. I don't know that, but I'm
- 30:46Speaker 3: not convinced that you need a different style guy on
- 30:49Speaker 3: kickoff returns.
- 30:50Speaker 4: You know.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Now, if that's the way it turns out, then.
- 30:52Speaker 7: Right, well, Rege was a pretty good kioff returns.
- 30:56Speaker 3: He had one good kickoff return you know, wherever it
- 31:00Speaker 3: will be the answer to the trivia question, who's the
- 31:02Speaker 3: last guy who had a conventional tick return? Right there
- 31:04Speaker 3: you go.
- 31:06Speaker 7: I think the bigger question touched down with Mark Jones
- 31:08Speaker 7: is the slot position. I mean that doesn't they didn't replace.
- 31:11Speaker 3: You know, he'd play in the slot.
- 31:12Speaker 7: He's not going to stay here forever as the return no,
- 31:16Speaker 7: I mean, coming out, I really thought his athleticism insibility
- 31:19Speaker 7: to stick with guys in man coverage was pretty good.
- 31:21Speaker 7: But it's just the size. You can't ignore it. I
- 31:23Speaker 7: feel like he'd be best served as like the second nickel,
- 31:26Speaker 7: you know, like more of a dimeback that comes in
- 31:28Speaker 7: for specific kind of matchups. But I think that's a
- 31:31Speaker 7: big position of question right now. Was the slot, And
- 31:34Speaker 7: you know, I think Evan and we've kind of talked
- 31:36Speaker 7: about it, like maybe in a perfect world you get
- 31:38Speaker 7: a second outside corner and then you let Jonathan Jones
- 31:40Speaker 7: go inside in the slot, and you know you have
- 31:42Speaker 7: more flexibility. But you know, right now it's Gonzalez and
- 31:45Speaker 7: Jonathan Jones, and after that, I think there's a whole
- 31:48Speaker 7: lot of questions about all of the cornerbacks. You know,
- 31:51Speaker 7: Dial wrote a thing about him today, spoke to a
- 31:53Speaker 7: couple of his coaches, got some versatility. Probably not a
- 31:57Speaker 7: slot though, you know, between him, between Bold and between
- 32:00Speaker 7: Alex Austin, you still got Sean Waye kicking around. I
- 32:03Speaker 7: think somebody's got to emerge from that group to allow
- 32:05Speaker 7: them some flexibility, because I still see them as a
- 32:07Speaker 7: little bit short there at cornerback.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm interested to see Alex Austen's jump from yeah one.
- 32:13Speaker 7: Who's the second year guy too?
- 32:14Speaker 4: Right? Good?
- 32:15Speaker 7: Good point.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Well, and he wasn't here during our off season. He
- 32:17Speaker 2: came in like second half of the season, second third
- 32:20Speaker 2: of the season, So I'm interested to see, like, with
- 32:21Speaker 2: a full off season under his belt, what he looks like.
- 32:24Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 32:24Speaker 4: Well, listen, the final roster is far from complete. Oh yeah,
- 32:27Speaker 4: I mean every year there's there's changes. They'll I I
- 32:31Speaker 4: can almost guarantee that they'll bring in another cornerback. Yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 4: and I won't be high end, but they'll bring in
- 32:38Speaker 4: another cornerback.
- 32:39Speaker 2: Do you define Stefan Gilmour as high end?
- 32:41Speaker 3: I would. I would consider him high.
- 32:43Speaker 7: End, even if they don't too. Though, I feel like
- 32:44Speaker 7: this is a position group that traditionally you've been able
- 32:47Speaker 7: to find guys like it's you know, it's not like
- 32:49Speaker 7: when I look at the edge position, and that's like
- 32:52Speaker 7: you know, O'Shane Jim Andez and John Morgan are the backups,
- 32:56Speaker 7: like you know, like there's nothing there and it's hard
- 32:59Speaker 7: to believe that anyone's going to emerge and be an
- 33:01Speaker 7: impact pass rusher off the edge that you don't already
- 33:03Speaker 7: kind of know about. But cornerback.
- 33:04Speaker 3: But do you mean like getting cornerbacks or like good ones? Well,
- 33:08Speaker 3: I think they struggled to get good ones. Well, I
- 33:10Speaker 3: think in the roles that they need. I think like
- 33:12Speaker 3: Sean Wade is the guy that you know, you can
- 33:14Speaker 3: just get. He hasn't really been able to get on
- 33:16Speaker 3: the field. Now, Alex Austin made some place, as Tamara
- 33:18Speaker 3: said last year, so maybe he's one of those guys.
- 33:21Speaker 3: But I think it's harder to get contributing players at
- 33:25Speaker 3: that position. Well, they've had a hard time with it.
- 33:29Speaker 3: And it's weird because I think when they've devoted some
- 33:32Speaker 3: resources to it, they've struggled. When they've had no Like
- 33:36Speaker 3: when they get like an undrafted free agent like Jonathan
- 33:39Speaker 3: Jones and they develop him and he turns into a
- 33:41Speaker 3: terrific player, you know, obviously, Butler before that, you know,
- 33:44Speaker 3: but they draft a guy in the second round, and
- 33:47Speaker 3: it's Duke Dawson, it's you know, Juwan Williams, right, you know,
- 33:50Speaker 3: and they've.
- 33:51Speaker 7: Miles Bryant like had more of a career than those
- 33:53Speaker 7: guys you just named, even though we guess out of
- 33:55Speaker 7: the league.
- 33:56Speaker 3: And I think part of it is expectation. You know,
- 33:58Speaker 3: you get a guy like Miles Bryant, he's an undrafted guy,
- 34:01Speaker 3: and you're like, well, he's gonna make some place. He's
- 34:02Speaker 3: gonna he's gonna give up some place. Whereas if Juwan
- 34:05Speaker 3: Williams is doing that, he's he's a bust. Yeah, you know.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Evan's back.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Hello, how's David Andrews. He's good.
- 34:14Speaker 6: He is the center man, as they say, I think
- 34:16Speaker 6: they know it's good. Interesting to hear from him about
- 34:21Speaker 6: some of the decisions about maybe retiring this offseason, and
- 34:25Speaker 6: he said that it was pretty early on in the
- 34:27Speaker 6: offseason that he felt like the the fire was still burning,
- 34:30Speaker 6: you know, that he still wanted to play, and but
- 34:33Speaker 6: it's just interesting to think about it. And he's never
- 34:35Speaker 6: had another coach other than Bill Belichick and you know,
- 34:37Speaker 6: totally new regime. And he was talking about, uh, you know,
- 34:40Speaker 6: playing against you MAO his rookie year and now Gerdo
- 34:43Speaker 6: is his head coach, and you know that whole thing.
- 34:45Speaker 3: Did he did? He say like he had a discussion with.
- 34:48Speaker 6: Yeah, so I guess when he made the decision in
- 34:51Speaker 6: his own head. He he lives locally still and lives
- 34:54Speaker 6: here year round now in the in the Foxborough area.
- 34:57Speaker 6: So he said he came in and actually met Oxen
- 35:00Speaker 6: Pelt for the first time and talked to Gerrod and
- 35:04Speaker 6: you know, said they kind of mapped out a course
- 35:07Speaker 6: for him and what everything's going to look like, and
- 35:10Speaker 6: he kind of, I guess, maybe pitched him a little
- 35:12Speaker 6: bit on on what's going on here and just said,
- 35:14Speaker 6: you know, this is what we're gonna do and and
- 35:16Speaker 6: all that kind of stuff.
- 35:17Speaker 3: So I think he's.
- 35:20Speaker 6: Almost intrigued, Like I don't know if I would use
- 35:22Speaker 6: the word quite excited yet, but almost like, you know,
- 35:25Speaker 6: let's see what this is all about. Yeah, let's see
- 35:27Speaker 6: where this goes.
- 35:28Speaker 4: You know. Did he mention the new offensive line coach.
- 35:32Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, he said that. You know, something that stands
- 35:34Speaker 6: out about Peters is just the technique side of things.
- 35:37Speaker 6: He's like, yeah, this is a real technician, you know,
- 35:40Speaker 6: someone that is really gonna work on the little little
- 35:44Speaker 6: details that are probably not obvious to anybody besides an
- 35:48Speaker 6: offensive line coach that you know, your foot is pointed
- 35:51Speaker 6: this direction, and he pointed this direction, it might be
- 35:53Speaker 6: a little bit easier, you know, like those little things.
- 35:55Speaker 6: So he said, he's a real technician, a real junkie
- 35:59Speaker 6: when it comes to that, that sort of stuff.
- 36:01Speaker 3: So good.
- 36:02Speaker 4: I think they need that.
- 36:03Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 36:04Speaker 6: And the other thing you just said about Drake May
- 36:07Speaker 6: just mentioned that he might up from the first time
- 36:09Speaker 6: I think today actually this morning when Drake May got
- 36:11Speaker 6: here and uh, he said, first thing that's out was
- 36:14Speaker 6: that he's tall. He's like a tall, big kid. You know,
- 36:16Speaker 6: this is not you know as a six foot four
- 36:20Speaker 6: you know, all of six four type of player.
- 36:22Speaker 3: And so he say, he's a man. I like that.
- 36:26Speaker 8: I like that.
- 36:28Speaker 3: The first impression was that he's he's big. Yeah, he's
- 36:32Speaker 3: an NFL quarterback size. Yeah.
- 36:34Speaker 7: I think what stands out to me about Drake May
- 36:36Speaker 7: I listened to uh, I think he went on with
- 36:38Speaker 7: Beatle and Zo maybe yesterday, but I listened a little.
- 36:40Speaker 7: That he's got energy for days, like he just does.
- 36:44Speaker 7: I mean when he even when we talked to him,
- 36:46Speaker 7: it'll take us to beat that. I don't know, but
- 36:48Speaker 7: I'm waiting for it because he reminds me of Pete Carroll.
- 36:50Speaker 7: He's got does just the way he talks.
- 36:52Speaker 3: And his energy.
- 36:53Speaker 7: The time we got him in here for the studio,
- 36:55Speaker 7: it was like, you've been doing this for like eight
- 36:56Speaker 7: hours straight and he just like, let's go. What you
- 36:58Speaker 7: guys got, let's do it, you.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Know, like right into it.
- 37:02Speaker 4: I like that.
- 37:02Speaker 6: I love the accent too. Yeah, I workshopping now, I
- 37:06Speaker 6: have well.
- 37:07Speaker 7: I started with my cold strange and gonna cold strange,
- 37:09Speaker 7: and the.
- 37:09Speaker 2: Stranger is different, a little more shut ups.
- 37:13Speaker 7: It's a little more like I can't believe they got
- 37:14Speaker 7: five guys here, man, like Drake May Let's go, guy,
- 37:17Speaker 7: what are we doing? My brothers will fight anybody, you know, Mike.
- 37:21Speaker 2: Mike's accent is way better than what Brian Kelly tried
- 37:24Speaker 2: to do when he got that was that was the way.
- 37:27Speaker 7: That's a whole different thing down and whuis I am?
- 37:31Speaker 6: Yeah? But David Andrews thought he was a tall drink
- 37:33Speaker 6: of water.
- 37:34Speaker 3: That's for sure. That's for sure.
- 37:36Speaker 6: That's exactly how he put it too. Yeah, but he
- 37:38Speaker 6: said that, he said he is. He opened the door
- 37:41Speaker 6: for the UPS Man the other day David Andrews did,
- 37:44Speaker 6: and the UPS guy was like, I thought you'd be bigger.
- 37:48Speaker 6: So that is how we were talking. And then he
- 37:50Speaker 6: was talking about Drake May and how he is a
- 37:52Speaker 6: big dude. So he's like, you know, most people are surprised,
- 37:54Speaker 6: I'm not like the biggest guy.
- 37:56Speaker 7: So centers right, Yeah, they're always they're always a little
- 37:59Speaker 7: bit under size.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Stout.
- 38:01Speaker 7: It looks like a normal guy. I think he's kind
- 38:02Speaker 7: of built like a normal dude you'd see out walking around.
- 38:04Speaker 7: Like some of these guys are like, oh my god,
- 38:06Speaker 7: you're huge, like you know, you're not normal. But he's
- 38:09Speaker 7: kind of one that's big but normal.
- 38:10Speaker 3: I would agree. All right, anything else we got, who's
- 38:15Speaker 3: uh Godshaws? Later?
- 38:17Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 38:17Speaker 6: God Godshaw's doing a charity Mother's Day thing. Yeah later upstairs?
- 38:22Speaker 7: Yeah, wow big man.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Also Andrews about to have two under two.
- 38:27Speaker 3: Is that true?
- 38:28Speaker 2: Oh yeah, a second child.
- 38:30Speaker 6: Yes, nobody asked him about that. Oh wow, we need
- 38:33Speaker 6: to do on ourasantry.
- 38:35Speaker 2: Better two under two and both little boys too. That's
- 38:39Speaker 2: my bed awesome.
- 38:40Speaker 3: Yeah. He was in the studio maybe about three weeks
- 38:44Speaker 3: ago and he was telling me about that he was
- 38:48Speaker 3: he was kind of waiting and he was like, oh,
- 38:49Speaker 3: by himself in the studios. I just went in and
- 38:52Speaker 3: sat down when I was like, what are you doing,
- 38:55Speaker 3: like sitting in the dark, and like ended up talking
- 38:57Speaker 3: him for like twenty minutes about all kinds of random stufu.
- 39:00Speaker 3: And he actually mentioned that when said.
- 39:02Speaker 7: The two boys Club, the boys Club, right, and you know.
- 39:04Speaker 6: You go with you know, all the zone jokes and man, yeah,
- 39:08Speaker 6: it's funny that he said that he worked out and
- 39:11Speaker 6: he went back down to Georgia for a little bit
- 39:12Speaker 6: with his wife and he was working out at his
- 39:15Speaker 6: wife's high school and he was just, you know, all
- 39:18Speaker 6: these kids are like the David Andrews in the gym,
- 39:21Speaker 6: and he said that all the kids are making fun
- 39:23Speaker 6: of him because of his stretching routine because he's, you know,
- 39:26Speaker 6: getting older. So in order to get the body warmed
- 39:29Speaker 6: up before he starts lifting, he's got to go through
- 39:31Speaker 6: this whole, this whole routine to get himself loose and everything.
- 39:34Speaker 6: And these kids just walk in and just go right
- 39:36Speaker 6: up to the bench pressenter just you know, just right away.
- 39:39Speaker 6: And so that he was talking just about how he's
- 39:43Speaker 6: got to change his regiment the older that he gets
- 39:46Speaker 6: to be a little bite. Yeah yeah, yeap, just wait bro,
- 39:52Speaker 6: all right, good stuff.
- 39:54Speaker 4: How was that catch twenty two?
- 39:56Speaker 3: Catch one two is good? Yeah?
- 39:57Speaker 4: To you get getting along? Okay?
- 40:00Speaker 6: You know, well sometimes you know Alex.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Was you know, play by play on the Celtics game
- 40:06Speaker 4: the other night. Oh yes, I mean was he getting
- 40:09Speaker 4: paid for that?
- 40:10Speaker 6: Yes, he's basketball bars right now?
- 40:12Speaker 4: Okay.
- 40:12Speaker 6: Yeah, So during the Celtics playoffs because they have uh
- 40:15Speaker 6: Ty Anderson and and doll if they do Bruins, So
- 40:19Speaker 6: during the Celtics playoffs every year, Alex jumps on the
- 40:22Speaker 6: Celtics beach.
- 40:22Speaker 4: For the like I mean, it was like blow by
- 40:25Speaker 4: blow on Twitter. Yeah.
- 40:26Speaker 6: He's actually headed to the garden right now. Yeah, so
- 40:29Speaker 6: he's going to go cover the game tonight. I'm going
- 40:31Speaker 6: to the game as a fan. So I'll wave a
- 40:33Speaker 6: hide of him.
- 40:35Speaker 2: NFL Insider dash.
- 40:37Speaker 3: Celtics and basketball.
- 40:40Speaker 7: Yeah, basketball bar barsketballtball is good.
- 40:44Speaker 3: That's good.
- 40:45Speaker 6: Maybe use that one when I see him tonight, the
- 40:47Speaker 6: barth tender. No, don't bring that up right up. That's
- 40:51Speaker 6: a subject makes him uncomfortable subject.
- 40:53Speaker 4: I would own it.
- 40:54Speaker 3: I would own it. Well, it was it was as question.
- 40:57Speaker 6: It was a one and done segment because of the
- 40:59Speaker 6: question since he got.
- 41:00Speaker 4: I know that that would be gold like if he
- 41:04Speaker 4: bought into that.
- 41:05Speaker 6: So no, he was bought into it. And then do
- 41:08Speaker 6: you do you have you listened to it? Did you
- 41:10Speaker 6: know that this guy calls in?
- 41:11Speaker 3: Yeah? I don't, but you know what happened now, So
- 41:15Speaker 3: he had a segment that he sort of called himself
- 41:17Speaker 3: the bartender. You know, you call in, you have questions,
- 41:20Speaker 3: you know, you talk to a bartend. You talk to
- 41:22Speaker 3: the bartender, you tell him you're you know anyway, you know,
- 41:25Speaker 3: it was a cute little thing that he doesn't kick,
- 41:28Speaker 3: calls up and says he's been thinking about coming out
- 41:31Speaker 3: of the closet to his family. To his family think
- 41:34Speaker 3: that they should he should tell his parrots. And now
- 41:36Speaker 3: it's just like now that that's like kind of a
- 41:43Speaker 3: personal h that's really important.
- 41:46Speaker 4: But he was so But I think if he own that,
- 41:48Speaker 4: and like people would call in once in a while
- 41:50Speaker 4: with those things, it would be hysterical and I think
- 41:53Speaker 4: it would be must listen to.
- 41:55Speaker 6: I really, when I say roaring on the floor laughing,
- 41:59Speaker 6: I was roaring exactly exactly. I was crying.
- 42:04Speaker 2: I did not even get to that, like that's it was.
- 42:08Speaker 3: It was a night somebody was playing a joke.
- 42:10Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, but I didn't, but he did it
- 42:12Speaker 6: very well.
- 42:13Speaker 3: That's what I said to him.
- 42:14Speaker 6: I was like, is that like a friend of yours
- 42:15Speaker 6: that like called in just to bust your jobs? Yeah,
- 42:18Speaker 6: or something like that, because he was on nights and
- 42:20Speaker 6: and it was you know, they were looking to just
- 42:22Speaker 6: fill airtime in the middle of the summer and you know,
- 42:24Speaker 6: all the baseball is the only thing that was going on.
- 42:26Speaker 4: I used to listen to like these kooks that would
- 42:29Speaker 4: have radio shows and like about aliens and all this stuff,
- 42:32Speaker 4: and you know, like they took themselves seriously, but every
- 42:35Speaker 4: once in a while someone would come call in and
- 42:37Speaker 4: prank them, you know, and it was hysterical, like you'd
- 42:40Speaker 4: live for that that one call a night where someone
- 42:42Speaker 4: would be trying to goo fubba booi. Yeah, and that
- 42:46Speaker 4: would make it fun, you know. I remember, I forget
- 42:51Speaker 4: the name of the guy, but he had this show
- 42:52Speaker 4: that was all about aliens and this I said, you know,
- 42:54Speaker 4: tonight we're going to be talking to people from the future.
- 42:57Speaker 4: And you know, so people were calling in like they
- 42:59Speaker 4: really were from the and like somebody called in and
- 43:02Speaker 4: wasn't playing the game right. It's like we're only talking
- 43:05Speaker 4: to people from the future. And he hangs up and
- 43:07Speaker 4: it's like it was so funny. I don't know.
- 43:10Speaker 3: I think Bars should own I don't.
- 43:13Speaker 6: I don't think it's him.
- 43:14Speaker 3: I think that. I think yeah.
- 43:17Speaker 6: I think management said after the that call.
- 43:20Speaker 3: They were like, we're not doing this again.
- 43:22Speaker 7: No Ama is on the radio anymore.
- 43:24Speaker 3: I mean, it was. It was epic. It was the
- 43:27Speaker 3: worst thing.
- 43:28Speaker 4: The worst thing that can happen is you end up
- 43:29Speaker 4: on Howard Stern and now you're even bigger.
- 43:31Speaker 3: Than you were. Right there you go, there you go.
- 43:33Speaker 6: Well, now he's Basketball Bars all right.
- 43:34Speaker 4: Web radio A pictures dot Com is the email address.
- 43:38Speaker 6: John, we're working title.
- 43:39Speaker 3: It's hard to say.
- 43:41Speaker 4: It's fun to see basketball Bar.
- 43:42Speaker 7: Once you get it down, basketball, I don't think.
- 43:45Speaker 3: I could say it. Uh.
- 43:47Speaker 4: John Luke from Tennessee originally Rhode Island says, with a
- 43:50Speaker 4: new era in the building and the rumors of the
- 43:53Speaker 4: team changing uniforms next season, are there rumors that were changing.
- 43:56Speaker 3: Uniforms, I have not heard that.
- 43:58Speaker 6: There's some whispers I know, so we used on the
- 44:02Speaker 6: WebEx thing during the draft, we used a logo.
- 44:06Speaker 4: Oh that and down in.
- 44:07Speaker 6: Yeah, that's not gonna be the I know, but that
- 44:10Speaker 6: we sort of like the at the combine when we
- 44:14Speaker 6: had the pat patriot background. Yeah, people, Oh look at
- 44:17Speaker 6: this new logo. Is this are you changing? I obviously
- 44:20Speaker 6: knew that, and I always think it's so funny when
- 44:22Speaker 6: I see things like that, or I'm just like, you
- 44:23Speaker 6: guys look way too much into everything.
- 44:25Speaker 3: I kind of liked that logo.
- 44:27Speaker 7: Yeah at the draft, Well, maybe you'll be seeing what
- 44:30Speaker 7: I didn't.
- 44:30Speaker 3: It was too too confusing, it was too much going on.
- 44:33Speaker 7: What's going on?
- 44:34Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, anyway. As well as the NFL now allowing
- 44:39Speaker 4: a third helmet for next season, what uniform and helmet
- 44:41Speaker 4: combinations would you like to see? Possibly a red or
- 44:44Speaker 4: blue helmet, a red, white and blue uniform set. I
- 44:47Speaker 4: would love to see them update their blueberry uniforms with
- 44:50Speaker 4: a white helmet, same jersey with a different number font
- 44:53Speaker 4: in white or red pants thoughts. What would you consider
- 44:57Speaker 4: to be the unluckiest jersey number? No success with the team,
- 45:00Speaker 4: seventeen seventeen for sure. I've always wanted I always wanted
- 45:05Speaker 4: to have the red jersey with the current logo in
- 45:09Speaker 4: the white helmet.
- 45:09Speaker 3: I think that would be sharp.
- 45:10Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, I've seen a mock up of that that
- 45:12Speaker 7: looks that looks pretty good.
- 45:15Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 45:15Speaker 7: I think the thing that's hard is, especially with some
- 45:19Speaker 7: of the throwback stuff, like in the nineties, it's a
- 45:20Speaker 7: lot like the Bill's colors. So I don't know, you
- 45:23Speaker 7: just don't have a lot of wiggle room with some
- 45:25Speaker 7: of those color schemes. But I'm with you on the Blueberries.
- 45:27Speaker 4: I'd love to.
- 45:28Speaker 7: I mean, I just I think the dynasty uniforms have
- 45:30Speaker 7: to come back in some capacity at some point. I
- 45:32Speaker 7: said it one hundred times. I'll continue to say, you're
- 45:34Speaker 7: the only team that was a dynasty that changed their
- 45:36Speaker 7: uniforms from that like forty nine Ers, Packers, Dallas. I mean,
- 45:40Speaker 7: they all still look the same as when they were winning.
- 45:42Speaker 7: And you know, I think that that uniform has to
- 45:44Speaker 7: come back in some capacity at some point. That'd be
- 45:46Speaker 7: my vote. But yeah, well the Niners changed, they've gone,
- 45:50Speaker 7: but they kind of but they're still in the They're
- 45:52Speaker 7: still in kind of the universe though, right like it's.
- 45:54Speaker 3: Still went back.
- 45:56Speaker 7: Yeah, the whole night they have like the black outline. Yeah,
- 46:00Speaker 7: like now and even Dallas has had some other you know,
- 46:02Speaker 7: wack adoodle.
- 46:03Speaker 3: But like their last title in ninety four I think
- 46:06Speaker 3: was with those different uniforms, so they won the previous ones.
- 46:10Speaker 3: But you know it pit perks. You know, they're kind
- 46:13Speaker 3: of the same, Yeah, as they've always been. I think
- 46:15Speaker 3: we should start calling them kits kits.
- 46:18Speaker 4: That's a sucker, all right? Uh foods here? Oh, Paul's hungry.
- 46:22Speaker 4: We're gonna take a break. We'll be right back after this.

- 47:01Speaker 13: replacements were shipped with FedEx and with picture proof of delivery,
- 47:04Speaker 13: everyone could focus on the perfect opening night FedEx where
- 47:08Speaker 13: now it's next for residential delivery only.
- 47:12Speaker 5: Patriots wide receiver Tomorrio Douglas spoke with the media on Tuesday.
- 47:15Speaker 5: Let's listen to what he had to say.
- 47:18Speaker 12: A long time is he hung? That's been good? Good
- 47:23Speaker 12: work work, not much for.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Let me think about going into your second year.
- 47:33Speaker 12: What are some of the things that you're focusing on
- 47:35Speaker 12: and be liked?
- 47:37Speaker 14: Oh, I feel like I can you know, always improve
- 47:40Speaker 14: in every aspect, but get a touchdown this year, well
- 47:44Speaker 14: more than one. Yeah, touchdowns this year?
- 47:49Speaker 12: Physically, are you.
- 47:51Speaker 7: Like you're gonna be at the same weight that you
- 47:55Speaker 7: played last year?
- 47:55Speaker 3: You want to be at the same weight.
- 47:57Speaker 8: Where are you at with that?
- 47:59Speaker 12: I honestly don't know where if I feel like where
- 48:02Speaker 12: I feel good at?
- 48:03Speaker 14: So just the off season to where I can you know, see,
- 48:05Speaker 14: you know, fluctuate my weight and see where I played
- 48:08Speaker 14: best at, but probably around the same weight a little
- 48:11Speaker 14: bit more.
- 48:12Speaker 12: I think I can carry more weight now for sure.
- 48:16Speaker 2: It looks like for player receivers down there, the.
- 48:21Speaker 12: That was that was good.
- 48:23Speaker 14: You know, this is my first off season, so I
- 48:25Speaker 14: never knew like I always seen videos, you know, other
- 48:27Speaker 14: teammates you know, get together work out, so we finally
- 48:30Speaker 14: did it.
- 48:31Speaker 12: Well, I got to do it and it was a
- 48:33Speaker 12: good experience, a great experience. Uh KB.
- 48:37Speaker 14: Yeah, KB is like, come work with us, and we've
- 48:40Speaker 14: seen his growth from last year. His last year, he
- 48:43Speaker 14: was like, yeah, we come go train with you and
- 48:44Speaker 14: it was it was a good.
- 48:45Speaker 12: Work close to.
- 48:50Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 48:51Speaker 12: Yeah, I don't know. Honestly.
- 48:57Speaker 14: I feel like I always play with confidence. I can't
- 48:59Speaker 14: play with comf fin as I I shouldn't be out there.
- 49:05Speaker 7: Finished that you were the most productive see her mature
- 49:10Speaker 7: fresh heights.
- 49:10Speaker 12: This story that, Uh, it's it's a blessing.
- 49:14Speaker 14: I say, it's definitely a blessing, but I feel like
- 49:17Speaker 14: I haven't I still haven't done anything honestly, or and
- 49:21Speaker 14: it was still early.
- 49:22Speaker 12: What are some of the biggest differences that you've seen
- 49:24Speaker 12: from last year's offense compared to this year's offense.
- 49:27Speaker 14: Uh?
- 49:28Speaker 3: I I can't.
- 49:29Speaker 12: I can't really say yet.
- 49:31Speaker 14: You know, I gotta see it, like how we when
- 49:33Speaker 14: we get to go against defense and stuff is just
- 49:36Speaker 14: you know, learning right now.
- 49:41Speaker 7: About that.
- 49:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 49:43Speaker 14: I always had number three, uh little League middle school,
- 49:48Speaker 14: had it in high school at my first uh high
- 49:51Speaker 14: school and then Secon High School with the one, but
- 49:53Speaker 14: then I had it in college and then you know
- 49:55Speaker 14: the three. It's big for me cause I was raised
- 49:58Speaker 14: by you know, three strong la ladies.
- 50:00Speaker 12: You know, my mom, grandma, my great grandma. So that also,
- 50:03Speaker 12: you know, carries away also, that's the.
- 50:07Speaker 2: Kind out like ninety thou wast in my position?
- 50:10Speaker 14: Yeah yeah, my mom, My mom's no, so my mom,
- 50:12Speaker 14: quiz my grandma, like not too long ago, do you
- 50:15Speaker 14: know why he has number three?
- 50:16Speaker 12: And then my grandma didn't really know, but then not
- 50:19Speaker 12: well now she knows.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Now do you have any familiarity with the German program?
- 50:26Speaker 14: Jan Davi h nah, I I don't, but I I
- 50:30Speaker 14: watched him play before, watched him play before and both
- 50:33Speaker 14: some dogs, so we definitely add some dogs to the room.
- 50:38Speaker 3: Play.
- 50:38Speaker 12: How did you know?
- 50:39Speaker 14: Uh say Jaalen deep threat, good deep threat and uh
- 50:43Speaker 14: Javon hands.
- 50:47Speaker 12: Changes with the team from.
- 50:49Speaker 7: Last year to this year, how would you describe what
- 50:52Speaker 7: it's like in the off season program, you know, with the.
- 50:55Speaker 3: New more coach and all that stuff.
- 50:56Speaker 14: Uh say, we were hungry, you know, uh last year
- 51:00Speaker 14: was it good? So you know, definitely trying to work
- 51:04Speaker 14: to improve.
- 51:06Speaker 3: And you got to work much with coach Hughes and
- 51:09Speaker 3: and what's happened like.
- 51:11Speaker 12: And yeah right, yeah yeah.
- 51:16Speaker 14: Both both good coaches and uh birth both you know,
- 51:20Speaker 14: work with work with us, you know, hands on, I like,
- 51:23Speaker 14: I like these coaches, and uh, I feel like we're
- 51:26Speaker 14: gonna have a good room and we're gonna work definitely
- 51:28Speaker 14: with those coaches.
- 51:29Speaker 12: Definitely motivation. They motivate us for sure.
- 51:32Speaker 3: How about Drake May so far? Have you seen him
- 51:35Speaker 3: met him yet?
- 51:36Speaker 12: I haven't met him yet.
- 51:38Speaker 2: Uh.
- 51:39Speaker 14: We got drafted texting him text me back. Uh that
- 51:42Speaker 14: was that was good right there. But I haven't really
- 51:45Speaker 14: talked spoke to him honestly besides the text. What the
- 51:48Speaker 14: text say you might I say, welcome, let me see
- 51:52Speaker 14: let's work pop. Yes, sir, some of the all season
- 51:56Speaker 14: workouts you guys been going through see type ones there
- 51:58Speaker 14: looks like he's put on a little bit and muscle.
- 52:00Speaker 3: What have you seen from him terms of this development
- 52:02Speaker 3: of off season?
- 52:02Speaker 14: Uh, you know, I've been with him the whole off
- 52:04Speaker 14: season working, so uh, I'd say his mindset, mindset definitely
- 52:09Speaker 14: in the right path, in the right way. He going
- 52:11Speaker 14: the right way and he's working. You say, you say,
- 52:14Speaker 14: I mean you see he say, I mean he putting
- 52:16Speaker 14: on weight. So I mean he's working and he has
- 52:19Speaker 14: a goal to reach, and I feel like he's going
- 52:21Speaker 14: to reach that that goal.
- 52:23Speaker 2: You obviously tell for like the video of season, but
- 52:26Speaker 2: how have you seen that tap game in these workouts
- 52:28Speaker 2: that you have done just from like the sash right?
- 52:32Speaker 3: Uh?
- 52:32Speaker 14: I feel like he's been pushing. Like I say, we
- 52:37Speaker 14: and our receiver and we've been we've been working as
- 52:40Speaker 14: of we've been pushing each other. The better I am,
- 52:43Speaker 14: the better, the next man gonna be, the better next
- 52:45Speaker 14: man is out, the better I'm gonna be. So I
- 52:47Speaker 14: feel like we all just been competing. We've definitely been competing.
- 52:52Speaker 12: And see how how go this year?
- 52:56Speaker 3: That's gonna stay when we watch it this summer and
- 52:58Speaker 3: fits here the season. What do you this difference we're
- 53:00Speaker 3: gonna notice hop uther year too from when we watch
- 53:04Speaker 3: your last year.
- 53:05Speaker 14: I say last year was that was my first year.
- 53:08Speaker 14: That was my you know, welcome to the league type
- 53:10Speaker 14: of you know my year. But U this year, I
- 53:13Speaker 14: just you know, come in play with confidence, faith and
- 53:18Speaker 14: come play with that swagger. And yeah, I had that
- 53:20Speaker 14: energy from you know, bring that energy to the team.
- 53:23Speaker 14: You know, like KB, how you know how you bring
- 53:25Speaker 14: that energy. Bring that energy also to the team and
- 53:28Speaker 14: we go out there and play with play with some
- 53:29Speaker 14: swag this year.
- 53:32Speaker 12: Oh yeah, I'll be trying to, you know, go against
- 53:33Speaker 12: some saying. Now, so.
- 53:35Speaker 4: Pop, what's sorry?
- 53:37Speaker 12: Pop?
- 53:38Speaker 3: What's your relationship like with Elliott Wolf? You know he
- 53:40Speaker 3: was he was in the draft room last year when
- 53:42Speaker 3: you prefect? Any you know, what's your relationship? Life's happened?
- 53:46Speaker 12: I don't, I don't know. Yeah, yeah, not not as much.
- 53:54Speaker 3: All right, thank you? And now great moments in history.
- 54:03Speaker 4: Luke's in North Attleborough.
- 54:05Speaker 3: What's up?
- 54:05Speaker 4: Luke?
- 54:08Speaker 3: Luke?
- 54:09Speaker 4: Yep, you just called come on?
- 54:12Speaker 2: Ye?
- 54:12Speaker 8: Do you think some things are better left the chances, like.
- 54:18Speaker 3: Depends on what you talk rather not or be.
- 54:20Speaker 8: Played for like thirty minutes during a game and maybe
- 54:24Speaker 8: just move on and if you have the chance instead
- 54:26Speaker 8: of everything being right down to the nitty Gridio, you
- 54:31Speaker 8: know what I mean?
- 54:32Speaker 4: No, no, so rather than the chance started, are some
- 54:37Speaker 4: things left better left better left to chance?
- 54:40Speaker 3: Is that what you say? Right? Well?
- 54:43Speaker 4: Not like you know, sexually transmitted disease.
- 54:46Speaker 7: You don't want to like leave that to chance?
- 54:48Speaker 8: I got pink guy right now?
- 54:50Speaker 4: Well there you go, see you left that the chance
- 54:52Speaker 4: and now you can't see. That's another great moment from.
- 55:00Speaker 3: All right.
- 55:01Speaker 4: It's easy to drink, it's easy to enjoy. Bud Light,
- 55:04Speaker 4: the official beer sponsor of the New England Patriots.
- 55:07Speaker 3: I could use one right now.
- 55:09Speaker 7: I think if you were the Barthtener, Fred, you would
- 55:11Speaker 7: have seamless transitions into the ads, like I think you
- 55:13Speaker 7: should come out to your parents and you should take
- 55:14Speaker 7: a Toyota.
- 55:15Speaker 3: To go do it right right? Sorry, perfect if you're
- 55:20Speaker 3: coming out where sunscreen Copper Tone, the official sunscreen of
- 55:24Speaker 3: the that's brilliant.
- 55:27Speaker 4: Yeah, there you go.
- 55:28Speaker 3: I think you'd be able to do that with the
- 55:30Speaker 3: ones that you know about. I know you would think,
- 55:33Speaker 3: but alas it's an art form.
- 55:36Speaker 4: Richard says it was John Batchelor that did the alien
- 55:39Speaker 4: segments on AM radio. He might have there was another
- 55:42Speaker 4: guy though, that had a It was a syndicated It
- 55:45Speaker 4: was like across the country this show Coast to coast,
- 55:48Speaker 4: Coast to coast, is that what it's called.
- 55:49Speaker 7: That's what it was called.
- 55:50Speaker 3: Yeah, oh was it.
- 55:51Speaker 5: I'll get you the name of the I used to
- 55:53Speaker 5: listen to that. Yeah, and it was fun, right yeah,
- 55:56Speaker 5: like conspiracy theory, really stories aliens.
- 56:02Speaker 4: And all the weirdos would call it. Yeah, yeah, and
- 56:05Speaker 4: every once in a while someone would punk and it
- 56:07Speaker 4: would be funny.
- 56:08Speaker 6: Yeah, there's a there's a guy named Bob Lazar. It's
- 56:12Speaker 6: like a big time alien conspiracy theorist. And people like
- 56:16Speaker 6: always ask me if I'm related to Bob Lazar, and
- 56:18Speaker 6: the angela is definitely no. But he does spell his
- 56:20Speaker 6: last name exactly the same.
- 56:22Speaker 3: George Norri, That's who hosts it, George Norri.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Is that the guy that you think so we don't know?
- 56:27Speaker 4: Is Bob Doyle and Pete Carroll and Pete Carroll.
- 56:30Speaker 3: You guys had many in depth, was like, what are
- 56:35Speaker 3: we doing?
- 56:36Speaker 6: Yeah, Bob Doyle looks like he would know. Somebody I imagine.
- 56:40Speaker 3: Would be Bob would definitely know. I'll check with him.
- 56:42Speaker 3: Love Bob, It's all true, all of it. I loved it.
- 56:44Speaker 3: After the show, I'll check in. Let's see, Nathan wants
- 56:50Speaker 3: to roast us. He's from Connecticut. Do you want to
- 56:53Speaker 3: put your.
- 56:54Speaker 4: Thick skin on?
- 56:56Speaker 7: Always for it.
- 56:57Speaker 3: It's always fun to get made fun of. I mean,
- 56:59Speaker 3: who doesn't like to get it?
- 57:00Speaker 4: Okay, he pooped, he hits up everybody, fire away, all right?
- 57:04Speaker 4: He said, Fred your shirt has more stains than a
- 57:07Speaker 4: room in Motel six. How are you a high ranking
- 57:11Speaker 4: member in an NFL organization yet you know nothing about football? Also,
- 57:15Speaker 4: you seem to like saying thank you to Maddy p
- 57:17Speaker 4: a lot.
- 57:18Speaker 3: Is there something you.
- 57:19Speaker 4: Need to address Mike? That was long, That was like
- 57:22Speaker 4: multiple Yeah, Mike, you failed in Hollywood because you have
- 57:25Speaker 4: a face for radio PU radio at that.
- 57:28Speaker 3: Well, now we're on video.
- 57:29Speaker 4: That's good, Alex, she's not here. I criticize your football takes,
- 57:33Speaker 4: but you haven't any. You're doing good just to get
- 57:37Speaker 4: to work on time like an adult.
- 57:40Speaker 3: Geez evan.
- 57:43Speaker 4: Listening to you talk about football is about as exciting
- 57:45Speaker 4: as going on a date with an Excel spreadsheet. Your
- 57:48Speaker 4: attempts at humor don't exactly put the riot in Patriots.
- 57:51Speaker 6: Oh I think, I think Jess with voucher our dates
- 57:55Speaker 6: are more exciting than an Excel spreadsheet.
- 57:58Speaker 3: And then you get under the spreadsheet.
- 58:00Speaker 7: Between this, appreciate I pleaded the Paul.
- 58:05Speaker 4: Your experience in one thing. No Tennessee opponent ever has
- 58:08Speaker 4: terror that Joe Milton might single handedly destroy your team.
- 58:12Speaker 3: That's a good line.
- 58:13Speaker 4: That's a good line.
- 58:14Speaker 7: Those are good Those are good quality Tamara.
- 58:17Speaker 4: Should we mention the team's records since you joined, you've
- 58:20Speaker 4: truly put the E in New England. Matt, Matt the producer,
- 58:25Speaker 4: he has producer question mark, Why do you have less
- 58:28Speaker 4: technical knowledge than Bill Belichick? Maybe that's why the phones
- 58:32Speaker 4: never work and I can never hear Paul's mike more
- 58:37Speaker 4: like who blah Alex.
- 58:40Speaker 3: Barn a second.
- 58:42Speaker 4: Your dating prospects remind me of the running back market
- 58:45Speaker 4: non existent. Whenever you talk special teams, we call him
- 58:49Speaker 4: the Alex Barf segment. Just kidding you guys are the
- 58:52Speaker 4: best sportcast podcast.
- 58:58Speaker 3: Seriously, right man?
- 59:01Speaker 4: That was good.
- 59:01Speaker 6: See I like that poor poor female Alex that was
- 59:04Speaker 6: that was that was a little mean.
- 59:06Speaker 3: She got to work on time like an adult that
- 59:09Speaker 3: wouldn't have her back on this good stuff.
- 59:11Speaker 4: I like the roast, the roast boom.
- 59:16Speaker 3: Yeah, that was fun. That was fun.
- 59:17Speaker 6: That was that one was good. You saw that you
- 59:19Speaker 6: could tell that they took some time to figure that one,
- 59:21Speaker 6: and I appreciate that.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Yeah, good roast. We're all in the spirit of roasting.
- 59:26Speaker 6: You know, now that you're getting some of the pushback articles,
- 59:31Speaker 6: we're sorry to come out now. I read one this
- 59:35Speaker 6: morning on the Boston Globe. That was cringey, to say
- 59:39Speaker 6: the least.
- 59:39Speaker 5: Netflix is starting to edit it now.
- 59:41Speaker 6: Yeah, they did edit it, so they edited. Uh Kardashian out.
- 59:44Speaker 4: I heard that.
- 59:46Speaker 3: So how long is the one now available on Netflix?
- 59:49Speaker 6: It's a I don't know, but they do have a
- 59:51Speaker 6: disclaimer that says it's been edited from the live version.
- 59:55Speaker 6: And her I don't know if she's completely out or
- 59:58Speaker 6: just them booing.
- 1:00:00Speaker 3: Her is out her on the radio. They edited all
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: the booing of her. Yeah, yeah, that's out. Yeah, I
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: should have put.
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: In a click a clap traffic. Yeah boo this woman.
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: Bart's and Poland says, today's my birthday. Well, thank congratulations. Yeah,
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: I'll probably listen on to man as I'm right now
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: at practice in my first season as the o C
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: for my football team in Poland.
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: Cool.
- 1:00:25Speaker 4: That's great, you're jealous, So I haven't question I have done.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: Cool.
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: I have question mainly for Evan, Oh, what what should
- 1:00:32Speaker 4: I should?
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: What are your three favorite passing.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: Concepts in football that you would implement and use the
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: most if you were an o C, especially if your
- 1:00:42Speaker 4: QB doesn't have a cost.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: So this is literally what what would I do? Like
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: you guys?
- 1:00:48Speaker 6: Were kidding, but this is actually have a clinic that's
- 1:00:52Speaker 6: coming up that you.
- 1:00:52Speaker 7: Can pick cl clinic to Clint Clinic.
- 1:00:57Speaker 6: Well, Hostjuke obviously the cover art for Catch twenty host
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: Duke uh Leak, of course, of course. And I knew
- 1:01:05Speaker 6: those two, and I'd have a great r PO package. Yeah,
- 1:01:09Speaker 6: a bunch of r pos.
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: Now, what would Brady's be, Mike, I like stick like stick,
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: the most simple con You just want to throw the
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: ball around, you know, get yourself out.
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: Drew. Did you see some of the wrap up stuff
- 1:01:22Speaker 7: with Drew on Edelman, They had some funny insight, Yeah,
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: but I did stay clear of that. Well, I did
- 1:01:29Speaker 7: think it was interesting. They were talking about how it
- 1:01:30Speaker 7: got you know that that Bill was kind of holding
- 1:01:32Speaker 7: court with his players, and then and then Robert walked
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: in and it was a little tense. But then it
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: sounded like Drew said that they they had some time
- 1:01:40Speaker 7: that they were kind of talking to each other and
- 1:01:41Speaker 7: and you know, he seemed like it was okay. Like so,
- 1:01:44Speaker 7: I don't know, maybe maybe things that are getting smoothed out.
- 1:01:46Speaker 3: I think my boy has done a nice job of
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: sort of establishing like the next step of his life,
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: like there's no real I mean, I'm sure that what
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: he really feels is different than his public persona, but
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: he comes ross is this guy that has no lingering
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: bitterness at all I think any parties involved, and he
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: just sort of embraces.
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: Above it all.
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: I think of all the players that were there, he
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: came off as the coolest. Yeah, well and it's the
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: coolest guy you knows. Even I used to make fun
- 1:02:15Speaker 3: of him for that.
- 1:02:15Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean that stood out to me because it's hard, like,
- 1:02:18Speaker 7: especially when you have professional comedians going that have bits
- 1:02:21Speaker 7: and no delivery and stuff, and I'm like, you know,
- 1:02:22Speaker 7: and then he got up there, I'm like, oh no.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: This is gonna be And it was the first one.
- 1:02:26Speaker 7: He was the first one, but he had delivery, he
- 1:02:27Speaker 7: had confidence, he you know, knew how to make a
- 1:02:30Speaker 7: joke and stuff. I I that was one of my
- 1:02:32Speaker 7: biggest takeaways is Drew was just and he's suddenly just
- 1:02:35Speaker 7: like this great ambassador for the Patriots. Like it's like
- 1:02:37Speaker 7: he's above kind of the phrase. Everyone just loves Drew now.
- 1:02:40Speaker 6: So it's it's like I love the Drew renaissance.
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: I do too.
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: I thought that it was probably the best part of
- 1:02:46Speaker 6: the Apple Documentary.
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, maybe the only good part.
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: The best part of the Apple Documentary was just the
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: beginning couple of episodes on the One Team. And Andrew
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: was so involved in those, and he was great at
- 1:02:58Speaker 6: the roast. I just I'm glad that is he the
- 1:03:01Speaker 6: second greatest quarterback of all time for the Patriots. Yes, yeah,
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: but he still was a really good quarterback for the
- 1:03:07Speaker 6: Patriots for a period of time. That just because Brady
- 1:03:10Speaker 6: has now overshadowed him doesn't mean that we have to
- 1:03:13Speaker 6: forget about the first.
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: Flawed on the field. And everybody knows that, but I
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: used to get arguments, you know, big surprise right with
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: you know, like the Coens and the Felgers, you know
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: that they were always dumping all over them. And I
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: used to say, like, you know, there were worse things
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: in life with not being as good as Tom Brady. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: like his biggest the biggest mistake that Bledsoe ever made
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: was not being as great as Tom Brady. Like that's
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: not that bad. It doesn't mean he couldn't walk in
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: chew gum, you know, I.
- 1:03:45Speaker 7: Mean, anybody who lived through the nineties here and went,
- 1:03:47Speaker 7: because I mean I remember I was ten when they
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: went to the first Super Bowl and it was exciting,
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: but then it was just this long period of suck
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: and Drew just reinvigorated the whole i mean football. He
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: brought Patriots football back to you know where it was,
- 1:03:59Speaker 7: and I just He'll always have a special place in
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: my book. It was so fun to watch him. It was,
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: you know, you tune in, He's gonna throw the ball
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: fifty times this week, you know, and he had Ben
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: Coates and Terry Glenn and you know, uh Jefferson and
- 1:04:11Speaker 7: you know, just those receivers.
- 1:04:12Speaker 3: That's you guys, don't know how that stuff works on Netflix?
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: Does that state? Will that stay there available? Yeah?
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: For for for a long for at least a year.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: Yeah, So like I can wait till the playoffs are over?
- 1:04:26Speaker 7: Oh you mean I thought you might the football? Yeah,
- 1:04:29Speaker 7: till next spring right now?
- 1:04:31Speaker 15: Like I'm not going home to watch the Celtics probably, well,
- 1:04:36Speaker 15: I can probably still pick a night because they're going
- 1:04:39Speaker 15: to win every game by thirty, you know, but I'd
- 1:04:43Speaker 15: still like I want to watch the games, like I
- 1:04:45Speaker 15: want to watch them.
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: I want to watch my team win a title. I'm
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: you know, I'm all. It's well it's going to be
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: a hollow title. Yeah, that was dumb. I completely understand
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: his point, but it's it's it's dumb. It's a dumb
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: point that he's making. T No one cares, if you know, like,
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: if you're asking me to choose between what titles were
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: more exciting, then this one probably wouldn't be as high
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: as some others because it looks like they're gonna roll.
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: But I don't care. I also, my team wins every
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: game by thirty points. It's not my team's fault that
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: the other teams aren't good enough.
- 1:05:20Speaker 6: Yeah, I also wouldn't you know they're not gonna roll
- 1:05:23Speaker 6: like they'll get to They will when they get to
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: the finals. If Minnesota or okay See will give them
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: a series, they will. Those two teams are really good,
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: I mean, and is I think they.
- 1:05:32Speaker 3: Are good, but they're I think eight ten games behind
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: the Celtics.
- 1:05:37Speaker 6: Oh yeah, I mean, I still think the Celtics should
- 1:05:39Speaker 6: win that series, and it's not as scary as if
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: they had to play Denver in the finals. Definitely, but
- 1:05:44Speaker 6: I think the Knick series, I think that goes six games,
- 1:05:49Speaker 6: but it's not ever in doubt that the Celtics win,
- 1:05:51Speaker 6: but that.
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: If it goes six games, it's only gonna because they're
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: going to continue to do what they're doing. Yeah.
- 1:05:55Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean for Brunson will complete, Brunston will have
- 1:05:58Speaker 6: a game probably MSG and then the Knicks will probably
- 1:06:02Speaker 6: get handed the game by.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: The last night. Yeah, that game, well, I know you
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: were out.
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: It's been bad.
- 1:06:07Speaker 3: There was on the end. It was on the side.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: TV actually called they actually called double dribble, which is
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: stunning in and of itself that they actually called a
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: violation in an NBA game, and he did, he stopped
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: dribbling and then he like it was a carry whatever
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: you want to call it. The referee blew the whistle,
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: made the signal. Then they went over to the table
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: and said inadvertent whistle. Yeah, like they're not even hiding
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: They're not even trying to hide it. Yeah.
- 1:06:32Speaker 6: Game one was even worse.
- 1:06:33Speaker 3: I think Game one was a travesty and Carlisle overreacted
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: to Game two. I think based on feeling like it
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: was even worse in game one and not only you
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: didn't fix it, you continued it. Yeah.
- 1:06:45Speaker 6: I just think the Knicks will push them maybe to six,
- 1:06:50Speaker 6: and then I think in the finals they'll play a
- 1:06:52Speaker 6: real team like I think Minnesota and o case here both.
- 1:06:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: I think that the winner of the West will be
- 1:06:57Speaker 3: pretty good, no, no question. But Freddy, yeah, what is it?
- 1:07:02Speaker 9: What is it?
- 1:07:02Speaker 3: Eighteen? The next one will be eighteen, banner eighteen, Yeah,
- 1:07:05Speaker 3: next eighteen eighteen's coming. Okay, good, I'm not ready to
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: go there yet. I think that means everybody on the
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: team gets their number retired. I just looked at it
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: as like, I don't even think they've played great.
- 1:07:18Speaker 6: Celtics have two numbers retired. They have two Celtics okay,
- 1:07:23Speaker 6: thirty four and five, which both are deserved, all right,
- 1:07:28Speaker 6: I know. I'm just saying it's not like they are
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: tired defensive, they haven't desired to.
- 1:07:34Speaker 3: Don't do that the Green team.
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: Yeah no, he said every number twelve guys like Scalabrini's
- 1:07:40Speaker 6: numbers retired, although he probably thinks it should be.
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: I actually go with the notion. Take a good look
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: at the retired numbers and tell me which guy's not
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: in the Hall of Fame. You know, it's like Reggie
- 1:07:50Speaker 3: loscitav Yeah, you know the guys who were going in,
- 1:07:54Speaker 3: like Pearson Garnet, Yeah, like there's not too many guys
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: in there that aren't in the Hall of man.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: You know how I am.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: I'm a stickler, Like, I get it. You need to
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: be great.
- 1:08:06Speaker 6: Did you think KG deserved it?
- 1:08:08Speaker 12: No?
- 1:08:09Speaker 6: See how about Mata Maxwell?
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: Now, Fred's pretty consistent with that, and he and I
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: are usually lockst up. I just think you've got a
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: team with Bird and Russell and Coozy and now and
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: Max was the Finals m VP even with all that talent.
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: But yeah, so we had a great so a great
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: career be in the Hall of Fame, you know, Like, No,
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: he didn't have c Maxwell's career. I'm just he had
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: a great game in the Super Bowl.
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: Yeah, I just don't has he has line I respect
- 1:08:45Speaker 6: that I do I have.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: Oh, he's a stickler And I actually agree with Fred
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: more often than not on Hall of Fame number he
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: tires you know, you know, the individual accolades I think
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: should be reserved for the truly special. Yeah.
- 1:08:58Speaker 4: I think you know you're saying this number can never
- 1:09:02Speaker 4: be worn by another human being on this team. That's
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: a high honor.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: But I wanted to get one of your buddy's aliens
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: to come out and wear it. Then that would be okay,
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: sure you go.
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: Speaking of aliens, Andrew in La says, in light of
- 1:09:15Speaker 4: discussing aliens and people from the future, I would like
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: to know everyone's conspiracy theory they believe in.
- 1:09:21Speaker 7: Oh, geez geez.
- 1:09:23Speaker 6: So that was your self ex minted.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: So you're talking about anything like, but you're talking to
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: you talking about real conspiracy. Yeah, because I have a
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: million sports Conspiracieschael Jordan's well speaking of conspiracies.
- 1:09:38Speaker 4: The Otani thing, so the guy is that's one, you know,
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: agreeing to one. But don't you think that the MLB
- 1:09:46Speaker 4: has really downplayed Otani this year? Like when you see
- 1:09:49Speaker 4: all the promotions on TV, he's not in any of
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: them anymore.
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: He's actually having a terrific out of his mind and
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: right sort of like, but they don't mention him anymore. Yeah,
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: I agree with you. But did you happen to see
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: the thing that came out yesterday about with the interpreter
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: and what he's pleading guilty to and he could go
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: to prison for like thirty months.
- 1:10:07Speaker 4: But I think the fact that he's pleading to it,
- 1:10:10Speaker 4: he's staying quiet on some things and he's not going
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: to go to prison for thirty years.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: Okay, But if he does, then I might rethink my
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: conspiracy too. Me too, because that's an awful lot of
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: time to spending jail. Yeah, I'm not going to buddy, right, Yeah,
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: I'm not doing that. I'm with you. I'm with you.
- 1:10:25Speaker 4: But if he only goes to jail for like five years, Paul.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: Something's up, that's still a long time. Fred. Yeah, but
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: maybe he was given an offer he couldn't refuse.
- 1:10:33Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:10:33Speaker 5: I don't know when he gets up.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe.
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a long time to go to prison. Is
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: someone just for some money? Yeah?
- 1:10:41Speaker 6: What's your conspiracy theories?
- 1:10:42Speaker 7: I'm trying to think of a good one.
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: I have a million.
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: Oh yeah, can you start one off? Like I just
- 1:10:47Speaker 7: get me?
- 1:10:47Speaker 6: Okay, So I think the biggest one to me is Elvis.
- 1:10:50Speaker 9: But I.
- 1:10:52Speaker 3: Think he's still alive.
- 1:10:53Speaker 6: No, I don't think he's alive and now, because he'd
- 1:10:54Speaker 6: be like one hundred something. But I think you know,
- 1:10:58Speaker 6: he died in seventy seven. He didn't when they said
- 1:11:00Speaker 6: he died, just like I did. He died, okay, but
- 1:11:04Speaker 6: there's pictures of him at the airport getting on a
- 1:11:08Speaker 6: pj oh No, the gone down This rabbit. So that's
- 1:11:13Speaker 6: a big one for me. I do think that we
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: landed on the Moon, But I don't think that the
- 1:11:19Speaker 6: moon landing video fake.
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: Why do you think?
- 1:11:24Speaker 6: Because I think Stanley Kubrick made it.
- 1:11:26Speaker 4: Stanley Kubrick two thousand and one, author.
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I think he. I think he made it.
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: I'm not saying we didn't do it. I just can't
- 1:11:35Speaker 6: imagine that we had the technology back then to videotape
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: something on the Moon and then zap it back to
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: Earth in real time and like show people throughout the
- 1:11:46Speaker 6: country of his video. It was right up with when
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: Stanley Kubrick made Space Odyssey. It's like all it all
- 1:11:52Speaker 6: lines up.
- 1:11:53Speaker 4: We would have the technology of sending video from one
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: side of the Earth to the other, but you don't
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: think we could do it for the Moon. Now it's
- 1:12:00Speaker 4: the same technology.
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: And there's also just like a little the loved one
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: for that's there, Like there's like a little boy for me.
- 1:12:07Speaker 6: There's just like little things about that video that you.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: Know, just look off you.
- 1:12:11Speaker 7: You really got to look deep at it, you really,
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: I don't.
- 1:12:14Speaker 6: But then I think it was buzz Aldrin, like punch
- 1:12:17Speaker 6: somebody who when he said that he didn't actually land
- 1:12:19Speaker 6: on the moon. He actually literally punched somebody. So now
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: after since then, I'm like, no, I think he did it,
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: But like, I just think the video itself was doctored.
- 1:12:27Speaker 3: So I never thought about that part of it. The
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: one part that I always found curious was, and I
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: believe you might be able to know the specifics more
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: than me. Fred JFK said, you know whatever, in like
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: sixty one or sixty two, that we wanted to have
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: a man on the moon by the end of the decade. Yeah,
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: And on July twentieth, nineteen sixty nine, we just sort
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: of just barely squeaked it in like that kind of
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: seemed a little coincidental to me. Wow, preach Paul. But
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: I never once thought that what I was seeing wasn't
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: real or was some kind of a I.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: Mean, since then they went back twice. Oh yeah, Shina
- 1:13:04Speaker 4: has been there, Russia's been there's.
- 1:13:07Speaker 6: Doing I'm just talking about in nineteen sixty nine.
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: Somebody had to do it first.
- 1:13:12Speaker 6: The dog did it first.
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: The dog's head's foot seed.
- 1:13:19Speaker 4: Now I want to believe in aliens. I do, and
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: I think that there is there's it's more probable that
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: there's life elsewhere than there isn't but in what form
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: like that? And it is the kind of life that
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: we're hoping for going to be known during our lifetime.
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: Because the one thing that we keep forgetting is that
- 1:13:41Speaker 4: humans existence in the universe is a snap of the fingers.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: That's how long we've been around, Like not even that
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: it's like a blip that you can't even you know, imagine,
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: that's how short a time we've been existing. And so
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: we're saying that during that snap of the fingers, there
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: was other life and that's where it may not have happened,
- 1:14:05Speaker 4: but in the existence of the universe where there are
- 1:14:07Speaker 4: other civilization, probably yeah, probably other organisms rose to the
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: level we are and beyond and probably after we're gone.
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: But that's the thing that's so hard for us to
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: comprehend is how short a time we've existed. It's like
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: like a flash of light, right, And now we're hoping
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: that during that flash of light, other life forms existed.
- 1:14:29Speaker 7: Yes, And I'm not even sure we have a full
- 1:14:30Speaker 7: grasp of what's happened on our planet for the history
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: of that that it's been here, like like what our
- 1:14:35Speaker 7: planet and civilizations were truly like serious.
- 1:14:41Speaker 5: Can't anybody go to Antarctica. What's that nobody's allowed to
- 1:14:44Speaker 5: see Antarctica. They've got stuff down there.
- 1:14:47Speaker 3: What do you mean nobody is allowed to see it?
- 1:14:49Speaker 3: Somebody down there saying that different.
- 1:14:57Speaker 5: Center of the antarctica?
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: You think? So the illuminais down all right? I agree
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: about the alien life form, and that goes back to
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: the Brady Bunch. Remember the Brady Bunch episode. Well, they
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: had the fake UFO and they had the action, and
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: it's like, I think it'd be pretty naive to think
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: that we're the only I actually remember that only well,
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: it absolutely resonated with me when I was watching it
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: as a kid. Yeah, I think that I know that
- 1:15:20Speaker 3: it's just a TV show, but it's probably right, like,
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: why are we the only ones that figured out the.
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: Five main things that were made up of? Is water, hydrogen, carbon?
- 1:15:30Speaker 4: Are the five main things that the universe is.
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: Made up of? See.
- 1:15:33Speaker 7: I don't think that there's necessarily like aliens in the
- 1:15:36Speaker 7: sense of like they're just living on another planet. I
- 1:15:38Speaker 7: think that you're getting deeper into like what does time
- 1:15:41Speaker 7: really exist? And what dimension are we actually in? And
- 1:15:44Speaker 7: is all this kind of the same stuff. It's just
- 1:15:45Speaker 7: a construct, right, Like, so it could easily be just
- 1:15:49Speaker 7: you know, a different dimension that people are coming from.
- 1:15:51Speaker 7: I think it's too simple to think like, oh, there's
- 1:15:53Speaker 7: just aliens, they live on another planet. Like, I don't
- 1:15:55Speaker 7: know if all that's true. I think, I mean, I
- 1:15:57Speaker 7: think there are there is, but I don't.
- 1:15:59Speaker 4: There's a whole meta universe thing. It's not just in Marvel.
- 1:16:02Speaker 4: Like physicists many believe in this, like you know, we're
- 1:16:07Speaker 4: made up of waves in something else and those waves
- 1:16:11Speaker 4: can you know, they can be parallel, they can intersect,
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: you know, string.
- 1:16:15Speaker 3: Theory, yeah, yeah, yeah, string theory. Yeah.
- 1:16:18Speaker 7: But there's even been like with the with the new
- 1:16:20Speaker 7: space telescope that they have, they've been you know, it
- 1:16:22Speaker 7: was like they everyone thought that the universe was expanding
- 1:16:24Speaker 7: at a certain rate and now like they're discovering new
- 1:16:26Speaker 7: information that like it isn't and there are you know
- 1:16:29Speaker 7: what is it like black matter, dark matter, It's just
- 1:16:32Speaker 7: like the thing in between. So I think that this
- 1:16:34Speaker 7: is just like, to me, the interesting part is getting
- 1:16:36Speaker 7: into what is time and what are dimensions and it's
- 1:16:38Speaker 7: not so much like distant space. It's it's all kind of.
- 1:16:41Speaker 4: I also believe that there there is infinite, you know,
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: things larger than us.
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: But I also think there's infinite things right.
- 1:16:50Speaker 4: No matter which way you go it all, no matter
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: which way you're in the middle, no matter where you are, like,
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: there's it's everything can be infinitely larger and smaller, you know,
- 1:16:59Speaker 4: So the universes within universes within you.
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: That x filestrop or when you tear really in conspiracy, though,
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: do you think that the government knows the answer is
- 1:17:11Speaker 3: just to a lot of these because I do, und
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: I do.
- 1:17:15Speaker 7: I mean, I think they know at least probably the
- 1:17:16Speaker 7: tip of it. I don't know if they know the
- 1:17:17Speaker 7: true like meaning of it all, but I think that
- 1:17:20Speaker 7: they probably.
- 1:17:20Speaker 4: I believe there's stuff that they're not telling us, but
- 1:17:24Speaker 4: at the end of the day, like the real big
- 1:17:27Speaker 4: stuff would have gotten out, Like nobody can keep a
- 1:17:29Speaker 4: secret anymore.
- 1:17:30Speaker 6: Somebody literally testified to Congress that aliens exist on national TV,
- 1:17:36Speaker 6: and people are.
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: So like, oh, yeah, no, I don't think they.
- 1:17:39Speaker 5: How you know he literally told you elected into office
- 1:17:41Speaker 5: eight years ago, got your confidential transcripts, and then started
- 1:17:46Speaker 5: a space force.
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: Yeah, well that's true.
- 1:17:49Speaker 7: I think that could you could you could change and
- 1:17:51Speaker 7: thirty five cut off you ah, Like, I'm a former marine,
- 1:17:55Speaker 7: but I'll fight in space.
- 1:17:56Speaker 3: Down on the Cape, there's a thing storm troopers.
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: When you first come over the Sagamore Bridge, there's a
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: thing called Pave Pause and they built it in the
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: seventies to detect nuclear weapons coming toward us.
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: So it's just huge radar.
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: But now they change it into a Space Force base
- 1:18:11Speaker 4: and there's a sign that says Space Force.
- 1:18:13Speaker 6: I really thought that was a movie bit like I
- 1:18:16Speaker 6: thought it was. Yeah, like it's real people there, and
- 1:18:20Speaker 6: now it's real.
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: Thank you for your service, Space Force.
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: But yeah, I mean I want to I want to
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: believe in ghosts, but like, don't you think I mean,
- 1:18:29Speaker 4: if there's a if somebody punches somebody, somebody in a
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: burger king, it's on video. Nobody has captured any evidence
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: of it of ghosts yet that is definitive. That's why
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: I just don't think.
- 1:18:41Speaker 7: My wife, I's a lot of those psychic shows with
- 1:18:43Speaker 7: a Long Island medium that woman who it's just hilarious.
- 1:18:46Speaker 7: But yeah, I kind of believe I've had enough things happen.
- 1:18:49Speaker 3: But that's believing I'm supernatural. I was kind of more
- 1:18:53Speaker 3: thinking of the conspiracy part of it. Like, yeah, where
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: they're telling you one thing but it's actually a cover up.
- 1:18:58Speaker 6: Yeah much, Oh, I have a bunch, but some of
- 1:19:02Speaker 6: them I gave my two that are I can't.
- 1:19:05Speaker 7: Believe we're uncovered something that just below film for you,
- 1:19:09Speaker 7: like like usually we go off topic in the off
- 1:19:11Speaker 7: season and you're.
- 1:19:11Speaker 6: Like, I, I just I literally have been down the
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: Elvis rabbit hole because I I for some reason, I
- 1:19:17Speaker 6: I the purpose, no, but I like the Elvis.
- 1:19:20Speaker 3: I mean I don't, but I like the e I just.
- 1:19:22Speaker 6: I like I as a kid.
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:19:24Speaker 6: For some reason, I I like Elvis. I've been was
- 1:19:28Speaker 6: like fascinated by him and his stardom.
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: And what's the motive for him hiding.
- 1:19:33Speaker 6: I think that he was like in such shambles and
- 1:19:36Speaker 6: like the fame was like weighing on him so much
- 1:19:38Speaker 6: that he just wanted to disappear, right, and so he
- 1:19:41Speaker 6: just staged his own death and he disappeared. Most people
- 1:19:44Speaker 6: think the Argentina, Okay, that's that's where everybody goes. That's
- 1:19:47Speaker 6: where a lot of people think he went. But there's
- 1:19:50Speaker 6: there's pictures on a tarmac after Elvis was pronounced dead,
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: and there's pictures on a tarmac.
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: Of a of Elvis.
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: Gotta be Elvis getting onto a plane, and it's it's
- 1:20:02Speaker 6: so obviously Elvis.
- 1:20:04Speaker 5: I think he's still alive at Graceland living on the
- 1:20:06Speaker 5: second floor.
- 1:20:06Speaker 6: Yeah, I know, I don't think that because I mean,
- 1:20:08Speaker 6: he he'd have to be like one hundred and something
- 1:20:11Speaker 6: years old, right, I mean.
- 1:20:13Speaker 7: Where are we on with JFK now to what's what's
- 1:20:15Speaker 7: the latest with that one?
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: Well, that's a great Yeah, I think something happened there
- 1:20:19Speaker 4: beyond Lee Harvey Oswald.
- 1:20:21Speaker 6: Yeah, but who the mob? I don't mean the mob.
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't see. That's where I think the conspiration
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: that I don't know, but it's I don't think it's a.
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: Double cross the mob, and you can't do that even
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: if you're the president. That's the key.
- 1:20:35Speaker 6: I'm with Paul on this one. I think it was
- 1:20:38Speaker 6: it was the mob that set up Harvey Oswald to
- 1:20:41Speaker 6: take him out.
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: And the fact that then Jack Ruby kills Harvey Oswell
- 1:20:47Speaker 4: in live TV and was willing to just give up
- 1:20:51Speaker 4: his life to do that, there's something going on.
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I agree. Yeah, r if he thinks is
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: the c I A could have been.
- 1:21:00Speaker 4: Yeah, my parents said that when I was. That was
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: like sixty four. So I was three and I saw
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: Jack Ruby kill him and I went bang bang man
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: dead ship.
- 1:21:11Speaker 2: Yeah, and this and this is this is why some
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: people's parents don't let them watch.
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: They said I saw that.
- 1:21:19Speaker 7: I said that.
- 1:21:20Speaker 3: Yeah, But did you just you probably just thought it
- 1:21:22Speaker 3: was like a show. I don't remember. Now, there's no
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: way you knew it. You could no. I didn't know
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: what it was. Comprehended it. Actually, really I don't.
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: Even remember saying it or seeing it, so you know,
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: it didn't traumatize.
- 1:21:32Speaker 3: The maarri case. You're wondering, I was not born.
- 1:21:35Speaker 7: But if it was the mob, why would they cover
- 1:21:36Speaker 7: it up? Like why not just say it was the mob?
- 1:21:38Speaker 4: Well, yeah, see, I don't think it was them.
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: I think it was it was partly about the mob.
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: I think they teamed together. I think the CIA and
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: the mob babing I do together. And you don't listen
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: with organized crime, right, expert im.
- 1:21:53Speaker 2: That's that's I heard organized time, And now I'm listening.
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: Let's let's keep going with the conspiracy, like we have
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: this rampant organized crime that we've had countless films about
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: the surveillance that you know, guys going inside them all like,
- 1:22:10Speaker 3: and we can't stop it, right, we can't stop it.
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: I think we could if we wanted, of course we could. Yeah,
- 1:22:17Speaker 3: but it exists, and in my opinion, it exists for
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: reasons that only they know, and that might be one
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: of them, Like how.
- 1:22:25Speaker 6: Do we do this right, Tony Soprano?
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: Sometimes you know, they get a little out of hand
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: and then there's a you know, there's a pushback and
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: they arrest a bunch of people.
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: But it always do you believe the white happened exactly
- 1:22:37Speaker 3: the way it, you know, was portrayed? Sure Like he's
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: he's like he's on the run for how many years?
- 1:22:44Speaker 4: And all of a sudden, all of.
- 1:22:46Speaker 3: A sudden, all of a sudden, he just slipped up
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: and they saw him like that. I don't. I just
- 1:22:51Speaker 3: think those things to me are too coincidental.
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: We just lost our TVs in here. I always came back.
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: That's a line. I think you're wrong, but that's a
- 1:23:01Speaker 3: good line.
- 1:23:02Speaker 7: I always wonder if if if Whitey was ever at
- 1:23:04Speaker 7: Sunny McLean's, like, did white because he was in Santa Monica,
- 1:23:07Speaker 7: did you ever like I need a little Boston bar?
- 1:23:09Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I.
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: Fascinated by people like like Pablo Escobar and those types
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: of people. Like Narcos is like one of my favorite shows.
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: And I just love how he was just like chilling
- 1:23:20Speaker 6: in like a capital city, like just like he was
- 1:23:24Speaker 6: right there the whole time, and he was like in
- 1:23:26Speaker 6: a in a room that was in a house, that
- 1:23:29Speaker 6: was inside a house like type of situation, and they.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: You know, this guy's a criminal and you can't do
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: anything about it. Yeah, like that, It was so crazy.
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: I've never taken that stuff in phase.
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: I guess my brother in law has can Actually he
- 1:23:41Speaker 7: grew up in Southia and he's friends with like kids
- 1:23:42Speaker 7: that you know, were kids of this stuff, that gang.
- 1:23:44Speaker 7: And then when it happened, and I'm like, it's like
- 1:23:47Speaker 7: it happened in Santa Monica. You know it was like
- 1:23:48Speaker 7: what like twenty six and Cloverdale or something like that,
- 1:23:50Speaker 7: Like it was right there, Like I that was and
- 1:23:53Speaker 7: that was crazy.
- 1:23:53Speaker 4: So what do you think about the theory or not
- 1:23:56Speaker 4: really conspiracy, but theory that humans got to boost like
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: whether it's the Egyptians or the Aztecs from from Aliens
- 1:24:02Speaker 4: Aliens to help them, you know, accelerate their knowledge and
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: their progress progress I'm not.
- 1:24:08Speaker 7: I don't know if I'm I don't know if I'm
- 1:24:10Speaker 7: totally on board with that one. Maybe yeah, I'm not either,
- 1:24:12Speaker 7: I don't. I don't know. I mean I like when
- 1:24:14Speaker 7: they're like and look at this hieroglyphic and it looks
- 1:24:16Speaker 7: like somebody like somebody you know, and I'm trying to
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: do it, but I don't know. I mean it's also
- 1:24:22Speaker 7: then did they did they destroy the civilizations too? Did
- 1:24:25Speaker 7: they give them technology?
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: And then you know, yeah, I mean it's great to
- 1:24:29Speaker 4: talk about. I love I loved talking I know Evan
- 1:24:32Speaker 4: was so into it.
- 1:24:32Speaker 7: He took it like I was like, I can't even
- 1:24:34Speaker 7: think of one off the top of my head.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: And then you were like, yeah I did. Legitimately, I
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: was on the edge of my seat when he starts
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: because I thought for sure what Mike said you would
- 1:24:40Speaker 3: be like this isn't Can we not talk about the
- 1:24:44Speaker 3: backside guard?
- 1:24:45Speaker 6: I mean, I've gone down the Tupac rabbit hole before
- 1:24:48Speaker 6: we go. Also, but like he he was shot and killed.
- 1:24:51Speaker 6: It's it's tragic, but like that, like Tupac Biggie, like
- 1:24:54Speaker 6: they there's real there's people that were literally in the
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: car that a like we shot him at this point,
- 1:25:03Speaker 6: so like that definitely happened.
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: Unfortunately.
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: I mean anybody that people really didn't want to die
- 1:25:10Speaker 4: like that. This conspiracy theories that he really didn't because
- 1:25:13Speaker 4: we want to believe that they're still alive.
- 1:25:15Speaker 5: You know, he didn't die in the car, though, he
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: died in the hospital and was cremated right away.
- 1:25:23Speaker 6: Fox pox about that's the sign of March.
- 1:25:27Speaker 4: Science from the Home of Alien Sightings in Scotland. Have
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: you guys been indulging in some psychoactive substances today? It's
- 1:25:35Speaker 4: getting very deep, but I'm loving the route the conversation
- 1:25:38Speaker 4: is going. Time to take to break out the tinfoil hats.
- 1:25:43Speaker 6: There you go, it's not tinfoil out if it's true.
- 1:25:46Speaker 3: Uh Al from Roswell, Georgia. There you go, topical loving
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: this Cosmos episode.
- 1:25:53Speaker 4: Don't listen to any fans that might complain this is
- 1:25:56Speaker 4: grade A off season content.
- 1:25:58Speaker 2: This is not better than soap with a slot.
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: I'll say, Oh, I wasn't here for You're lucky.
- 1:26:05Speaker 7: You probably got some side fire that though we talked
- 1:26:07Speaker 7: about a hundred times I had.
- 1:26:09Speaker 4: I had a sliver in the in the shower the
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: other day and I was like, God, damn man, I
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: need that.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: Soap with a slot. You're still buy soap?
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, I still buy. It's much better than the liquid.
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: Soap is a waste of money, is it? It takes
- 1:26:24Speaker 4: so much to like lather up you have, No.
- 1:26:28Speaker 3: It depends on what you have to keep going.
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: Pump for your whole body. It should like you ain't
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: clean girl, Oh.
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: My god, what brand are you using? Actually, don't say that.
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: No, I don't use No. I always whenever I used
- 1:26:46Speaker 4: the gel, you have to go to it like three
- 1:26:47Speaker 4: four times mine like laders up a.
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: Ton and it stays.
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: Yeah, the whole body.
- 1:26:53Speaker 2: Well, I use a washcloth to wash up, so I
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: don't have to.
- 1:26:57Speaker 7: Yeah, wash I have a loofah that Yeah, I like
- 1:27:01Speaker 7: I slip with the bar.
- 1:27:03Speaker 6: I'm a bar guy. Yeah, I'm a bar I'm a
- 1:27:05Speaker 6: bar guy too. We get it from some uh someone,
- 1:27:09Speaker 6: and I think it was that the Biggie or like
- 1:27:11Speaker 6: one of those fairs, and now just orders.
- 1:27:14Speaker 7: It online fancy yeah, like homemads.
- 1:27:16Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I did it wasn't I wasn't dating
- 1:27:18Speaker 6: her at the time when she discovered the soap, and
- 1:27:20Speaker 6: was her and her mom.
- 1:27:21Speaker 7: But she still gets you know you're on team soap.
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: You have to be.
- 1:27:24Speaker 6: I wish i'd remember the name. I could shout it out,
- 1:27:26Speaker 6: but I don't. Off the top of my head.
- 1:27:30Speaker 7: Covered it all.
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: I just get mine from CBS Ivory Dove man. Now,
- 1:27:37Speaker 3: I will tell you that before these man, the advent
- 1:27:41Speaker 3: of all of these lotions and bath washes and dove,
- 1:27:45Speaker 3: Dove was my bar of choice.
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: Dove is an elite bar of choice. I love Dove
- 1:27:51Speaker 2: body wash.
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: It's fire. You don't eat a lot just a little,
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: just a little dabble, do you.
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: I don't do a death do a little circle sex?
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: All right?
- 1:28:01Speaker 7: I was you know, my wife coined this one. She said,
- 1:28:04Speaker 7: you're only supposed to actually watch watch your pits and
- 1:28:06Speaker 7: slits is all.
- 1:28:09Speaker 3: Wow, Now I know why you work blue.
- 1:28:11Speaker 7: I went to the dermatologists and she's like, well, you know,
- 1:28:13Speaker 7: how are you using soap? And I was like, well,
- 1:28:15Speaker 7: I've actually pulled back on my soap uses a little
- 1:28:17Speaker 7: bit based on pits and slits, Like, you know, you're
- 1:28:19Speaker 7: not supposed to get it all. You know on the arms,
- 1:28:21Speaker 7: it's going to drive you out.
- 1:28:22Speaker 3: So just you know, that reminds me of a rant
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: I have, what is going on.
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: My you know, my wife watches a lot of like
- 1:28:31Speaker 4: the Start TV, and you know those channels that have like,
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: let's let's face it, programming for women, right, Lifetime, Yeah, Lifetime, Hallmark,
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: you know, not so much Hallmark. But the commercials that
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: they run during these shows are just too familiar. I mean,
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: like nothing is sacred. It's like it's like panties for
- 1:28:54Speaker 4: you know what, and it's like loomy for your your pits,
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: and and like nothing goes unmentioned, small blue bras.
- 1:29:06Speaker 2: You're just you're there's an answer for every problem that
- 1:29:09Speaker 2: I know, but we used to not put it on TV.
- 1:29:11Speaker 4: Right, Well, there's some of these things, but best left
- 1:29:14Speaker 4: this is the guy who loved the Roast.
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: TV where you supposed to find it the answer to
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: your problem.
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: Go on the forest, go on the internet.
- 1:29:23Speaker 7: There's a reddit for that.
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: No, but like this sub stag. There was a time
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: on TV you could not advertise this stuff.
- 1:29:30Speaker 7: But you're used to just watching male programming where it's
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: all like a rectile dysfunction.
- 1:29:34Speaker 3: But I'll put I will jump on Fred's side on that.
- 1:29:37Speaker 4: I'll put that in the same category. We're just too
- 1:29:40Speaker 4: familiar now.
- 1:29:41Speaker 3: Nothing is sake like the beer ads that that's like
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: there's a football game on, I'm gonna there's alight ad okay, great, well,
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: no problem.
- 1:29:48Speaker 7: Do we have to have every other one in e
- 1:29:50Speaker 7: D right? Well, it holds a mirror up to you
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: of like what your demographic is.
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: If you know it, you know it. Don't laugh. You
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: never thought about it like that, But it's true. It's
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: just like there's nothing. You can't even get a touchdown
- 1:30:02Speaker 3: and a kickoff without one. Oh, you gotta get get
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: another one.
- 1:30:04Speaker 6: In now the bud like commercials aren't as good as
- 1:30:06Speaker 6: they used to be. Also, yeah, like those are PC Yeah.
- 1:30:10Speaker 3: Oh, nothing is off base anymore.
- 1:30:12Speaker 9: No.
- 1:30:12Speaker 7: I was thinking of hymns. That's the new one that
- 1:30:14Speaker 7: that's hymns and hers, which is like they got everything
- 1:30:17Speaker 7: under the sun, whatever your problem is, they've got.
- 1:30:19Speaker 6: They gotta pill for you.
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: And it pisses me off because if they put the
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: money behind cancer that they put behind by now.
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: That's to me, that's the ultimate You want to get
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: back to the conspiracy, farming farms, the ultimate conspiracy.
- 1:30:35Speaker 2: I like that. I like that.
- 1:30:36Speaker 4: I like that.
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: I don't think there's much of an argument on the
- 1:30:39Speaker 3: other side of the conspiracy we are off the rails,
- 1:30:41Speaker 3: and I love it.
- 1:30:43Speaker 4: Cody says epic segment on the Conspiracies need the weekly
- 1:30:46Speaker 4: or monthly Conspiracy Minute on the show this offseason. My
- 1:30:50Speaker 4: biggest wonder is about the pyramids. No way that people
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: back then just built them.
- 1:30:54Speaker 3: Without so funny that I said that when when you
- 1:30:56Speaker 3: were talking about did we get a boost from the
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: aliens so we could get the first thing I thought
- 1:31:00Speaker 3: of was, yeah, like right, like, we just built the pyramid.
- 1:31:03Speaker 7: It's like, you know, there's kind of like tiktoks and
- 1:31:06Speaker 7: and and Instagram reels like they always come up of
- 1:31:08Speaker 7: like this is how they built this is how they
- 1:31:11Speaker 7: build it, and you know it's like there's one where
- 1:31:13Speaker 7: they're floating them. There's another one where they've got like
- 1:31:15Speaker 7: a bunch of like little wheels that they're rolling the
- 1:31:17Speaker 7: bricks open. Every time. It's like thousands of guys having
- 1:31:20Speaker 7: to move thousands of bricks over thousands of miles till
- 1:31:23Speaker 7: you know, because they discover where like all the rocks
- 1:31:25Speaker 7: came from and it was super far away.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: Sorry, we're going put a little fire pit and it
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: took me a whole band. Yeah, it's ridiculous, and.
- 1:31:34Speaker 4: That's a good line.
- 1:31:35Speaker 6: It's good just as Dad and stepmom. We just got
- 1:31:38Speaker 6: back from from the homeland, from Italy, and like you
- 1:31:41Speaker 6: still see like even those structures like the Colisseum and
- 1:31:44Speaker 6: those types of things, it's like they built this.
- 1:31:47Speaker 4: Okay, now here's the other thing, and this is this
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: is because we think we're the only smart people. The
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: people back then were just as smart as we were.
- 1:31:57Speaker 6: It's more about like they didn't have machinery.
- 1:31:59Speaker 4: Though they're probably way smarter because they had to be right,
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: and but you know, they didn't have As technology progressed,
- 1:32:07Speaker 4: we could spend more and more time inventing things. At
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: that time, they were inventing things that they needed to survive,
- 1:32:13Speaker 4: you know, and and so that's where the focus was,
- 1:32:16Speaker 4: you know. But you know the aqueducts that the Romans
- 1:32:19Speaker 4: created and.
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: All that stuff.
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: These are these are genius people that.
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: You know, I would never question the intelligence level of
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: our ancestors.
- 1:32:28Speaker 4: But it's like, how could they think of how to
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: build the coliseum? They could think of it, and they
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: had the manpower and it was free.
- 1:32:34Speaker 7: They just they didn't get that some of.
- 1:32:36Speaker 6: The structures and the pictures that they were showing us.
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: I'm like they built this like without any cranes or
- 1:32:42Speaker 6: it's incredible.
- 1:32:44Speaker 4: It's absolutely incredible.
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: But they could do it the signs they used to
- 1:32:46Speaker 3: have around the old Big dig You know, Rome wasn't
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: built in a day or terrors. We would have hired
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: their contract right, you know. It took the Big Dick
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: like fourteen years.
- 1:32:58Speaker 4: Yeah, so yeah, people back then were just as smart
- 1:33:02Speaker 4: as we were.
- 1:33:02Speaker 7: They just didn't get to the combustion.
- 1:33:04Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:33:04Speaker 4: That was the bridge to step, step by step, Chris
- 1:33:08Speaker 4: with a T, I, A N. It's all real, all
- 1:33:10Speaker 4: of it, ghosts, aliens, Eric's new job, incredible, incredible times.
- 1:33:16Speaker 4: We're living in the ever bookies killed JFKs.
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: Yeah. People, you know, I feel guilty that we're doing this,
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: but people seem to like it. It was a slow
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: day and we'll have a little something for you on Tuesday.
- 1:33:35Speaker 4: Sebastian from Clifton, New Jersey follow up on Evans conspiracy theory.
- 1:33:39Speaker 4: He's not wrong. There's plenty of stories about how the
- 1:33:42Speaker 4: radiation the shuttle experience was enough to damage all film
- 1:33:45Speaker 4: and photography. I've also heard of how the video of
- 1:33:48Speaker 4: the Blue Planet, taken halfway along the trip to the
- 1:33:51Speaker 4: Moon was staged. The Earth was not completely visible from
- 1:33:54Speaker 4: the little windows on the shuttle, so the astronauts had
- 1:33:57Speaker 4: to fake it.
- 1:33:58Speaker 3: Google it.
- 1:34:00Speaker 6: Oh, I've googled it.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: Oh, I don't.
- 1:34:02Speaker 6: I've watched documentaries.
- 1:34:04Speaker 5: Chase was just in here and he said, we had
- 1:34:06Speaker 5: the technology to film it. We didn't have the technology
- 1:34:08Speaker 5: to fake it back then.
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: Yeah to Stanley, good mind doubt it. Yeah, Yeah, I
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: don't doubt that the conspiracy theory exists. I have heard
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: it many times. I mean, yeah, I don't think we
- 1:34:21Speaker 3: need to go. I think what Evan's talking about. I've
- 1:34:24Speaker 3: heard people say, I mean, I was joking. But Carl
- 1:34:27Speaker 3: Everett doesn't believe that we did it. There's a lot
- 1:34:29Speaker 3: of people that don't believe.
- 1:34:30Speaker 4: He doesn't believe that dinosaurs existed. Well, do other.
- 1:34:34Speaker 7: Cultures have these kinds also specifically American, Like do other
- 1:34:38Speaker 7: cultures have these kinds of major.
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: Well, and that's another thing. It's kind of a not
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: a conspiracy, but something that I could find plausible. Like
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: we know that dinosaurs is eggsted. We have proof, there's
- 1:34:50Speaker 4: empirical evidence. We found the bones, the fossils, and you know,
- 1:34:55Speaker 4: our technology allows us to reconstruct them, so we know
- 1:34:57Speaker 4: that they existed, maybe we don't have percent of what
- 1:35:00Speaker 4: they look like feathers.
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: Yeah they could have had, you know, but we know
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: that these.
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: Huge animals existed, but there's no there's no reason to
- 1:35:08Speaker 4: believe that even before dinosaurs, other things existed that we
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: just have no trace of because over time all that
- 1:35:15Speaker 4: trace is gone and it could have been even a
- 1:35:18Speaker 4: smarter people than we are now, and maybe we got
- 1:35:21Speaker 4: or they got wiped out completely with no trace of
- 1:35:24Speaker 4: who they are and we had to start over, like
- 1:35:26Speaker 4: that could.
- 1:35:27Speaker 3: Be what could be?
- 1:35:28Speaker 6: Well, even like as a kid, it was always like
- 1:35:31Speaker 6: a volcano or something killed the dinosaurs. Now it's an
- 1:35:34Speaker 6: asteroid like and we're already in the asteroids are correct one.
- 1:35:37Speaker 4: And that's a plausible theory, but there's no way to
- 1:35:40Speaker 4: say that that's one hundred percent definitive.
- 1:35:42Speaker 3: We don't know.
- 1:35:43Speaker 7: I love that having feathers. I love that development.
- 1:35:46Speaker 4: Yeah, they're more we all Like I grew up thinking
- 1:35:49Speaker 4: they were reptiles.
- 1:35:50Speaker 6: So they're like a big bird.
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: But I always thought, yeah, well, anybody who's.
- 1:35:54Speaker 7: Seen a bird, right, that's a dinosaur.
- 1:35:56Speaker 6: Right, Like I see a bird, I'm like they're scary, right,
- 1:36:01Speaker 6: Birds Birds are rib Yeah, birds are terrible, Like, yes,
- 1:36:09Speaker 6: partially that was the Jaws of the time, but just
- 1:36:12Speaker 6: they're just dumb and like they just they just poop
- 1:36:15Speaker 6: everywhere like flock and they like those I don't know geese,
- 1:36:19Speaker 6: Like do you think Atlas is like a predator like
- 1:36:22Speaker 6: a fox or something like that? So like we saw
- 1:36:24Speaker 6: a goose was we were walking at less, we started
- 1:36:26Speaker 6: like hissing at us and stuff like that, like, yeah.
- 1:36:31Speaker 4: Be fascinated by a species that is not tethered to
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: the ground.
- 1:36:36Speaker 6: Because it almost tried to fight my dog Fred and
- 1:36:38Speaker 6: I was.
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: Too magic friend, I was ready to go.
- 1:36:43Speaker 6: You know, there's a new conspiracy theory now that birds
- 1:36:46Speaker 6: are actually spies for the government. They have some birds
- 1:36:50Speaker 6: actually have cameras like.
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: In their eyes, actual drones.
- 1:36:53Speaker 6: Are birds real? Is the thing?
- 1:36:55Speaker 7: Have you ever seen a baby pigeon? Yeah, no one's
- 1:36:58Speaker 7: ever seen a baby pigeon. That's a good point one
- 1:37:00Speaker 7: for you.
- 1:37:00Speaker 5: They think octopuses came from out of space.
- 1:37:02Speaker 7: That's another one.
- 1:37:03Speaker 4: Octopuses are an incredible And you.
- 1:37:06Speaker 7: See that documentary about that occup what was it called,
- 1:37:08Speaker 7: It's like something like my Octopus.
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:37:10Speaker 7: It's all about this guy who had a relationship with
- 1:37:11Speaker 7: an octagon. You like fell in love with the octopus
- 1:37:13Speaker 7: because he was so smart.
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: They're very smart. Wait, like.
- 1:37:17Speaker 7: I mean the audience falls in love with the octopus,
- 1:37:19Speaker 7: but the guy, but he was just like that. He
- 1:37:21Speaker 7: kept going back to the same spot and there's a
- 1:37:22Speaker 7: little octopus and he like was I was like, is
- 1:37:24Speaker 7: this that like that movie? Remember the water movie water World? No,
- 1:37:31Speaker 7: I don't know what it is.
- 1:37:32Speaker 4: Yeah, octopuses are a wild animal water.
- 1:37:37Speaker 3: World and Jaws.
- 1:37:39Speaker 6: Mister Hollywood over two three, just three evenge doesn't hold up.
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: I'm out, Darren writes, in with the recent proof of
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: Russian interference in our presidential elections, in Oswald's connection with Russia,
- 1:37:52Speaker 4: it doesn't seem to reach that Russia had a hand
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: in Kennedy's assassination. Just an observation. We know the Soviets
- 1:37:59Speaker 4: weren't fans to the Kennedys.
- 1:38:01Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't think that's that's that's what it was.
- 1:38:04Speaker 6: I've been down this rabbit hole before.
- 1:38:05Speaker 3: It could it could have been, but I just don't
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: think it's happened the way that it's been explained to us.
- 1:38:14Speaker 4: Micah from South Dakota love the off season talk the
- 1:38:17Speaker 4: CIA is one hundred percent responsible for JFK's death. The
- 1:38:20Speaker 4: moon landing is real, and aliens probably exist somewhere. But
- 1:38:23Speaker 4: let's talk about sports conspiracy. Okay, Michael Jordan's the NBA
- 1:38:27Speaker 4: one hundred percent rigged the lottery for the Knicks to
- 1:38:29Speaker 4: get you. Yeah, Jordan didn't retire the first time. He
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: was recently he was secretly suspended. That and Roger Goodell
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: hates New England. The last one is not a conspiracy,
- 1:38:41Speaker 4: just a fact.
- 1:38:42Speaker 7: I like the conspiracy that with Jordan that like his
- 1:38:44Speaker 7: dad was actually killed because but like this whole thing.
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: I think that's why he said, okay to take this seriously.
- 1:38:52Speaker 6: The ewing thing and the Jordan like, those aren't even
- 1:38:54Speaker 6: conspiracies anymore. I feel like that like those actually are.
- 1:38:58Speaker 6: That's actually true, you know, Like I like we've we've
- 1:39:01Speaker 6: it's evolved behind conspiracy, like and me being like Elvis.
- 1:39:05Speaker 6: Elvis might not have died that day as a conspiracy,
- 1:39:08Speaker 6: Like me saying that Michael Jordan was in too deep
- 1:39:10Speaker 6: with some bad you know, gambling issues and stuff like that.
- 1:39:13Speaker 6: That's actually what happened.
- 1:39:15Speaker 3: They might not know, So why don't you tell them
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: how the Knicks won the original lottery.
- 1:39:20Speaker 6: Well so yeah, so the draft lottery. Everybody knows, like
- 1:39:24Speaker 6: the whole sequence of the whole thing now. And they
- 1:39:26Speaker 6: used to do with envelopes, seven cards and a yeah,
- 1:39:29Speaker 6: rum and and they and they just and so that
- 1:39:31Speaker 6: people think was it like cold, right, they put.
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: In a freezer. It was freezing cold. Yeah.
- 1:39:37Speaker 6: So when he put his hand in, when he put
- 1:39:39Speaker 6: his hand in, when he felt the cold one, he
- 1:39:41Speaker 6: just left it in there and then picked another one
- 1:39:43Speaker 6: until it was the last one in there. The last
- 1:39:45Speaker 6: one is the New York Knicks. They get the star,
- 1:39:47Speaker 6: Patrick Ewing.
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: I always thought the Knicks was the cold one, so
- 1:39:50Speaker 3: that's how we knew which one get. Yeah, I think no,
- 1:39:52Speaker 3: I think no.
- 1:39:52Speaker 7: I think the cold long enough for this whole process
- 1:39:55Speaker 7: to warm up.
- 1:39:57Speaker 3: Yeah, And as an envelopes, they froze.
- 1:40:00Speaker 6: After that, they started using third party accounting firms and
- 1:40:04Speaker 6: stuff like that to run it so that it was
- 1:40:08Speaker 6: kosher Ernst and Young.
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: Yep, there you go, yep, Okay.
- 1:40:14Speaker 4: Sebastian says, I have to correct Aaron Evan. He spoke
- 1:40:18Speaker 4: of Bob Lazar briefly, and I needed to step the
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: record straight. He's not a conspiracy theorist. He is a
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: brilliant scientist specializing in propulsion systems who allegedly worked at
- 1:40:29Speaker 4: S four, a site related to Area fifty one. He
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: publicly spoke out in the eighties when he personally saw
- 1:40:35Speaker 4: enough things that led him to believe he was working
- 1:40:38Speaker 4: on alien technology. The government then went on a decades
- 1:40:41Speaker 4: long campaign to destroy his credibility and much worse. There's
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: a good documentary on his story, strongly recommended if you're
- 1:40:49Speaker 4: a believer.
- 1:40:50Speaker 6: Exactly believer because the things that he said were inspiracy. Yeah,
- 1:40:55Speaker 6: like I understand what the email is, right, like that
- 1:40:58Speaker 6: is his story. But you then say believer because not
- 1:41:01Speaker 6: everybody believes the quacky things that he said.
- 1:41:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:41:04Speaker 4: I started reading a book from like a colonel that
- 1:41:07Speaker 4: was in the Air Force or something about.
- 1:41:09Speaker 3: And I just started reading it as like this is nonsense.
- 1:41:12Speaker 4: This guy went off the deep ense at some point,
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: you know, Tablazar did just so just because like they
- 1:41:17Speaker 4: worked for the military or whatever, it doesn't mean that
- 1:41:20Speaker 4: they can't be crazy too, you know. Anyway, let's see
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: Dan and Virginia in Michigan says, whoa finding out a
- 1:41:31Speaker 4: lot about the PU crew today. If you're all suddenly
- 1:41:34Speaker 4: if you all suddenly disappeared tomorrow, I won't know if
- 1:41:37Speaker 4: it's the government because of the moon landing and JFK stuff,
- 1:41:40Speaker 4: the Hygiene police coming after Deuce, or the ghost of
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: Elvis coming to take Evan to Graceland. So true, there's
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: no way Kubrick created the moon landing. The moon landing
- 1:41:49Speaker 4: video is too tame to be Kubrick. As for the Pyramids, yes,
- 1:41:53Speaker 4: the ancient Egyptians might not have had the technology, but
- 1:41:56Speaker 4: they had the manpower. What do you think Moses was
- 1:41:59Speaker 4: leading the Jews away from that's true.
- 1:42:02Speaker 3: Egypt?
- 1:42:03Speaker 6: Do you think do you think you now Moses he
- 1:42:08Speaker 6: was leading them away from slavery in Egypt?
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: Not aliens, no, but man power. Man power. They didn't
- 1:42:16Speaker 3: want to bebody else right.
- 1:42:20Speaker 6: Oh, that's also a fact. Like not that not a conspiracy.
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: The fact that I can hear Matt Morrell laughing gas
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: just a great.
- 1:42:32Speaker 8: Matt.
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: You won't to have any trouble getting some clips today
- 1:42:34Speaker 3: for the.
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: Somebody will be waiting to talk to me when I
- 1:42:37Speaker 4: get upstairs.
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: I'm sure.
- 1:42:38Speaker 2: Oh sure.
- 1:42:40Speaker 4: Paul's and Waltham on the A Sticket Hotline, Paul, what
- 1:42:42Speaker 4: do you got Paul's not there, and I'm not surprised.
- 1:42:47Speaker 3: What about those guards?
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: Huh, yeah, I am not surprised.
- 1:42:52Speaker 7: There's a lot of Do you think that have a
- 1:42:54Speaker 7: number one wide receiver? And if so, who is it?
- 1:42:59Speaker 6: Jaymon Bait talks like a number one?
- 1:43:03Speaker 2: Oh wait, no wait, he wasn't here.
- 1:43:05Speaker 3: Yeah, Mike, Mike, and tell them what.
- 1:43:11Speaker 7: The fifty fifty balls are? More like eighty twenty No, no, no, no,
- 1:43:14Speaker 7: not too well. And he's actually that he's actually really
- 1:43:18Speaker 7: quiet and if you deserved yeah, and if you get
- 1:43:20Speaker 7: him to talk here, you've done something. You've done something.
- 1:43:22Speaker 3: I don't know about that, That's what I said. I
- 1:43:24Speaker 3: was like, huh, that's well, I I just don't know
- 1:43:27Speaker 3: what I say. I don't know about that.
- 1:43:29Speaker 6: Like you want it to be genuine, like you don't
- 1:43:31Speaker 6: want that to be performative when he that he's acting
- 1:43:33Speaker 6: that way. That's what Judaan was saying too, was on
- 1:43:36Speaker 6: the podcast, and he's like, I'm all forward if that's
- 1:43:38Speaker 6: really who you are, but don't play a part, you know, like,
- 1:43:42Speaker 6: actually come in here and if you think you're the
- 1:43:45Speaker 6: best receiver in the class, then walk like the best
- 1:43:47Speaker 6: receiver in the class.
- 1:43:48Speaker 7: Just look just have like Jabril Pepper's face the whole time,
- 1:43:50Speaker 7: like just that like intensity of just like I will
- 1:43:52Speaker 7: fight anyone here right now like that.
- 1:43:54Speaker 6: It definitely seemed like, you know, you said, he have
- 1:43:57Speaker 6: to be set off. He's obviously set off by the
- 1:43:59Speaker 6: fact that he said till the fourth round that seemed
- 1:44:01Speaker 6: to really bother him.
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:44:03Speaker 7: Yeah, No, Coach was very very high on him. I mean,
- 1:44:05Speaker 7: you know, he's uh contested catchability. He thought he was
- 1:44:08Speaker 7: fast enough, you know, he said he's football fast and so,
- 1:44:10Speaker 7: you know, it's one of the questions I had. It
- 1:44:11Speaker 7: was me and Henry m kenna. Nice tag team in him.
- 1:44:14Speaker 4: There you go, let's see Jordan's you know, I I
- 1:44:18Speaker 4: know we have discussed the new kickoff rules to some extent.
- 1:44:21Speaker 4: I think it's a conspiraty normally kidding I'm a little
- 1:44:25Speaker 4: late here, but two philosophical questions. One, do you think
- 1:44:28Speaker 4: that we will be in a higher scoring league this
- 1:44:30Speaker 4: year with the chances of better field position being higher?
- 1:44:33Speaker 4: And is there any way to pin them back deep?
- 1:44:35Speaker 7: Now?
- 1:44:35Speaker 6: Okay, well you can still kick it out of the
- 1:44:37Speaker 6: end zone for a touchback, right, which is what Paul
- 1:44:39Speaker 6: has been saying the whole time of life.
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: If it becomes a problem, yeah, definitely mess with it. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:44:44Speaker 7: The league scoring was down last year though, right am?
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: I right?
- 1:44:46Speaker 7: That was that was kind of a trend that scoring
- 1:44:48Speaker 7: was down. Yeah, first a little bit, so I know
- 1:44:51Speaker 7: that just might be regression towards the me and like
- 1:44:54Speaker 7: you know, you get, but I mean that the influx
- 1:44:55Speaker 7: of quarterbacks continues to yeah, hopefully.
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: And I think you're also I think what happens is
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: systems develop and it takes a while for the teams
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: to figure out, how do we stop Because now there's six, eight,
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: ten teams that are kind of running a variation of
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: this very successful system in this case Shanahan McVay, right,
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: how do we figure out how to slow this down
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: a little bit? Teams are probably over the last say
- 1:45:21Speaker 3: four years, sort of figured out how to slow it down.
- 1:45:24Speaker 3: So now it'll turn and some wrinkle to that will
- 1:45:29Speaker 3: emerge and there'll be that back and forth that always happened.
- 1:45:32Speaker 3: AVP offense will get things back in gear. Who knows,
- 1:45:36Speaker 3: maybe that'll be it.
- 1:45:37Speaker 7: I mean, do you think it's also partially that I mean,
- 1:45:39Speaker 7: not to put it all on Brady, but Brady retired
- 1:45:41Speaker 7: last year, and that was kind of the end of
- 1:45:43Speaker 7: you know, Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan, Peyton Manning, you know,
- 1:45:46Speaker 7: just that kind of generation of quarterbacks that had offenses
- 1:45:49Speaker 7: that were really good, and you know, you kind of
- 1:45:51Speaker 7: transition now to just younger guys. You know you have
- 1:45:54Speaker 7: I mean, certainly Trevor Lawrence and Joe Burrow. There is
- 1:45:56Speaker 7: a young those guys could be on it. So maybe
- 1:45:58Speaker 7: the scoring comes back up as those guys you know,
- 1:46:01Speaker 7: and app to.
- 1:46:02Speaker 6: So you lost Aaron Rodgers four snaps into the seasons.
- 1:46:05Speaker 6: That's another team whose offense.
- 1:46:07Speaker 4: Wasn't about the lack of production the Patriots and the Jets.
- 1:46:10Speaker 6: Had, and Joe Burrow gets hurt the Bengals.
- 1:46:13Speaker 3: There was a million starting quarterbacks injured, including some really
- 1:46:16Speaker 3: good ones. Right, Yeah, that's true.
- 1:46:19Speaker 6: The Shanahan McVeagh teams actually have already adjusted they are
- 1:46:23Speaker 6: starting because all these teams really the Patriots like to
- 1:46:27Speaker 6: give Bill his kudos, Like the Patriots in the Super
- 1:46:30Speaker 6: Bowl against the Rams completely shut down outside zone that
- 1:46:33Speaker 6: day in Super Bowl fifty three. And the Rams now
- 1:46:36Speaker 6: are much more inside zone duo than outside zone, Like
- 1:46:39Speaker 6: they don't run outside zone nearly as often. Because McVeigh
- 1:46:43Speaker 6: had to adjust, like these teams started playing him in
- 1:46:45Speaker 6: that six to one front and you know, putting two
- 1:46:48Speaker 6: guys out on the edge and making sure that you
- 1:46:50Speaker 6: funnel everything back inside. So now they run the ball
- 1:46:53Speaker 6: differently and the Shanahan is following suit, like those guys
- 1:46:57Speaker 6: are now downhill duo teams.
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: For the most part, it really is.
- 1:47:00Speaker 4: A copycat league.
- 1:47:01Speaker 3: Once you know, teams kind of get the blueprint. We've
- 1:47:04Speaker 3: heard that before. Then teams have to adjust. And Evan's
- 1:47:08Speaker 3: point to start the whole thing is accurate. It scoring
- 1:47:11Speaker 3: was down comparatively. It wasn't like there were a lot
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: of you know, in that games that didn't involve the Patriots,
- 1:47:20Speaker 3: Giants and Jets. Those are the three teams that couldn't score.
- 1:47:23Speaker 6: Yeah, but when you have three, that skews it a
- 1:47:25Speaker 6: little bit, you know, I mean, I think the quarterback injuries.
- 1:47:29Speaker 4: Yeah, all that stuff came together.
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: Cincinnati is one of the best offenses in football. And
- 1:47:34Speaker 3: you know, even even without Borrow, you know, down the stretch,
- 1:47:38Speaker 3: Jake Browning had a couple of pretty good games, but
- 1:47:40Speaker 3: it wasn't the same. They weren't scoring like forty points,
- 1:47:43Speaker 3: thirty five points every game.
- 1:47:44Speaker 4: Yep, THEO rights in Happy Thursday. Thanks for getting us
- 1:47:48Speaker 4: through the day. Great convos. Question of the day, Start
- 1:47:51Speaker 4: Bencher cut, Joe Burrow justin Herbert Lamar, Jackson, start bench cut.
- 1:47:57Speaker 3: I would start Borrow bench Jackson cut Herbert Yep.
- 1:48:01Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, even though I'd love to start Lamar, I'd
- 1:48:04Speaker 6: love to give that to him. But Burrow, I mean,
- 1:48:08Speaker 6: Lamar made it to AFC Title game. Burrow made it
- 1:48:09Speaker 6: to the Super Bowls. I guess he had one more win.
- 1:48:11Speaker 6: But it's one run right now for Burrow too, So
- 1:48:14Speaker 6: you know, I don't know that one's close.
- 1:48:16Speaker 7: I think he's I mean, I love him, but he
- 1:48:19Speaker 7: needs a healthy sceneds that healthy season.
- 1:48:20Speaker 3: Has Jackson made a conference title game?
- 1:48:23Speaker 6: Yeah, he did last year Chiefs Ravens.
- 1:48:26Speaker 3: That was the AFC title game. Yeah, it's not like you.
- 1:48:31Speaker 3: I was just thinking that was their first game.
- 1:48:34Speaker 6: They played Houston first round.
- 1:48:36Speaker 4: Oh yeah, Cana, New Jersey. I think one name that
- 1:48:39Speaker 4: no one has mentioned that will be hanging over the
- 1:48:42Speaker 4: Patriots twenty twenty fourth season Mike Vrabel. Although we all
- 1:48:46Speaker 4: think that Mayo will be given a few years to
- 1:48:48Speaker 4: build the program, that's not guaranteed. If the season gets
- 1:48:51Speaker 4: off to a horrendous start, and there are reports that
- 1:48:54Speaker 4: he lost the locker room. Anything can happen, and with
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: Rabel just killing time in Cleveland, his name will come
- 1:49:00Speaker 4: up a lot. Would we not expect to change the
- 1:49:02Speaker 4: Patriots go three and fourteen? I expect Mayo to be
- 1:49:06Speaker 4: constantly talking about May's development more than what is actually
- 1:49:09Speaker 4: happening in the twenty twenty four season, in an effort
- 1:49:12Speaker 4: to get everyone to focus on twenty twenty five, to
- 1:49:15Speaker 4: make sure he gets himself to year two.
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: I think he got year two already.
- 1:49:19Speaker 6: I think it have to be absolutely catastrophic.
- 1:49:21Speaker 3: He'd have to completely lose everybody to lose.
- 1:49:23Speaker 7: The and I just I don't see him losing the
- 1:49:26Speaker 7: locker room, like I can see them not being talented enough.
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: Just not.
- 1:49:28Speaker 7: But I think that if there's one thing I feel
- 1:49:31Speaker 7: pretty good about is that they'll want.
- 1:49:32Speaker 3: To play for three and fourteen alone. I don't think
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: would be enough to lose his job. He would have
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: to be like that kind of a record with all
- 1:49:39Speaker 3: kinds of stories Urban Meyer level. Yeah, this guy doesn't
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: know what he's talking about. It's and that's what the
- 1:49:44Speaker 3: players are opidly saying.
- 1:49:46Speaker 6: You know to the media, it's really the list of
- 1:49:49Speaker 6: one and done coaches. It's it's Urban Meyer, like it's
- 1:49:52Speaker 6: like really really bad.
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: It's not. There's always guys that have more than football
- 1:49:56Speaker 3: as a problem. For the most part, there's always exceptions
- 1:49:59Speaker 3: to the rule. But it's Bobby Petrino, you know. It's
- 1:50:02Speaker 3: things that are going like woefully wrong off the field
- 1:50:05Speaker 3: as well as on the field.
- 1:50:07Speaker 6: Like stuff at bars RBN Myers case.
- 1:50:10Speaker 4: Yeahpiing Fresno writes in Tuesday Tuesday, you guys discussed what
- 1:50:16Speaker 4: the defense would look like without Bill Evan made some
- 1:50:19Speaker 4: comment about how we might not expect as many week
- 1:50:21Speaker 4: to week changes like zone one week, man the next.
- 1:50:24Speaker 4: But last year's defense seemed pretty adaptive and variable, and
- 1:50:28Speaker 4: I thought that was mainly in Gerard and Steve's hands.
- 1:50:31Speaker 4: Am I wrong? In last year's defensive promise was really
- 1:50:34Speaker 4: a good product?
- 1:50:35Speaker 6: Well, I mean you also also just you named two
- 1:50:38Speaker 6: thirds of that brain trust and that aren't here anymore.
- 1:50:40Speaker 6: It's also Steve is not here anymore either. I think
- 1:50:42Speaker 6: there's always going to be a game plan teamsor odds
- 1:50:45Speaker 6: talked about being a game plan team.
- 1:50:47Speaker 3: Still.
- 1:50:47Speaker 6: I just think that when it's your I really count
- 1:50:50Speaker 6: as as a year zero, Like I don't eve think
- 1:50:52Speaker 6: this is year one.
- 1:50:52Speaker 3: I think this is year zero. So college football, yeah zero.
- 1:50:55Speaker 6: Yeah, And when you're in that, you're just trying to
- 1:50:58Speaker 6: establish an identity in a culture, in a system on
- 1:51:02Speaker 6: both sides of the ball, getting into the weeds of
- 1:51:05Speaker 6: Bill Belichick, you know, playing the chess match on Wednesdays
- 1:51:09Speaker 6: and Thursdays and Fridays. I just don't know if we're
- 1:51:11Speaker 6: gonna be there yet when they're just trying to build
- 1:51:14Speaker 6: a foundation. Right now, this new new thing.
- 1:51:17Speaker 7: Still feels like Bill was the one to say, this
- 1:51:19Speaker 7: is what we need to do this week, and then
- 1:51:21Speaker 7: Steve and Jirobb were like, Okay, let's put our heads
- 1:51:23Speaker 7: together and how do we best do it? And you know,
- 1:51:25Speaker 7: so who starts that conversation now? And as are they
- 1:51:28Speaker 7: as insightful and you know, clearly on the ball as
- 1:51:31Speaker 7: Bill was, when you know most of the time and
- 1:51:32Speaker 7: you pick those things out that you knew what they were,
- 1:51:34Speaker 7: you're not gonna like, no one's gonna be Bill.
- 1:51:37Speaker 3: And it doesn't mean that you can't have a successful defense.
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: It just means that that's something to keep an eye on.
- 1:51:42Speaker 7: Yeah, Yeah, especially like I would say, if it's not working,
- 1:51:46Speaker 7: trying to get too cute and trying to And this
- 1:51:48Speaker 7: is kind of a criticism that I had of the
- 1:51:49Speaker 7: offense last year was that, you know, why are we
- 1:51:51Speaker 7: trying to install a whole new offense every week when
- 1:51:53Speaker 7: these guys can't even you know, rub two sticks together
- 1:51:55Speaker 7: right now and get a touchdown. You know, it's the
- 1:51:58Speaker 7: same thing where it's like, great, we got all these
- 1:51:59Speaker 7: like complex schemes and we're gonna you know, oh my gosh,
- 1:52:02Speaker 7: we're you know, we're gonna playing this front this week
- 1:52:03Speaker 7: instead of this one. But at the end of the day,
- 1:52:05Speaker 7: all the matters though, you shutting teams down and are
- 1:52:07Speaker 7: you winning? You know, I just it doesn't need to be.
- 1:52:10Speaker 7: We can do whatever we want just for the sake
- 1:52:11Speaker 7: of that. It's like, just just beat teams and if
- 1:52:13Speaker 7: you have to stay the same and stay the same.
- 1:52:15Speaker 6: I just feel like most of the defenses nowadays, too,
- 1:52:18Speaker 6: are very systemic, like the Belichick school of we're gonna
- 1:52:23Speaker 6: be mix and match every single week and game plan oriented.
- 1:52:26Speaker 6: You look at San Francisco, the Jets, the Ravens, like
- 1:52:29Speaker 6: those teams have systems that they just rely on every
- 1:52:31Speaker 6: single week, especially the Niners in the in the Jets
- 1:52:34Speaker 6: are just really it's more like Legion of Boom or like,
- 1:52:36Speaker 6: they're just really good at it, right, So they just
- 1:52:38Speaker 6: do it every single week and you just can't score
- 1:52:40Speaker 6: versus like this week we're gonna be Man, that week
- 1:52:42Speaker 6: we're gonna be zone, you know whatever.
- 1:52:44Speaker 7: It's really interesting area, I really. I mean that's one
- 1:52:46Speaker 7: of the things that you know, the panning of the baton.
- 1:52:48Speaker 7: Everyone wants stuck with the head coach, but the defense
- 1:52:50Speaker 7: too that it really interests me how they're gonna how
- 1:52:52Speaker 7: they're gonna play.
- 1:52:53Speaker 4: Separate question from speed, Is there a precedent for a
- 1:52:56Speaker 4: receiver like Thornton making a comeback at this point in
- 1:52:58Speaker 4: his career?
- 1:53:00Speaker 6: So a receiver, well, I guess it depends on what
- 1:53:04Speaker 6: what your expectation is have comeback Like, is there.
- 1:53:07Speaker 4: Like he becomes a consistent productive.
- 1:53:09Speaker 3: I'll give you one seven. Yeah, there are there are
- 1:53:13Speaker 3: something he could he could do that, Okay, like if
- 1:53:15Speaker 3: he if he suddenly sort of clicked, he could be
- 1:53:18Speaker 3: a But who who's done that? I think way way back,
- 1:53:22Speaker 3: I'm thinking of a guy like Eric Molds. Do you
- 1:53:24Speaker 3: remember Eric Molds the Bills? He had a couple of
- 1:53:28Speaker 3: really slow seasons, if I'm not mistaken, only there was
- 1:53:32Speaker 3: a way I could look that up. And then I
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: think he turned into one of the best receivers in football.
- 1:53:37Speaker 3: After two I want to say, kind of busty season
- 1:53:41Speaker 3: Troy Brown.
- 1:53:43Speaker 6: No, I think he's a long shot, right, he's late
- 1:53:47Speaker 6: round pick.
- 1:53:47Speaker 4: Yeah, but he got better.
- 1:53:50Speaker 3: Yeah he got he got better, but he came in
- 1:53:52Speaker 3: and overachieved.
- 1:53:53Speaker 7: I have to blow my mind, right, Like I just
- 1:53:58Speaker 7: you haven't seen anything like multiple times, but it's.
- 1:54:01Speaker 2: Definitely on my list of people not being on the roster.
- 1:54:04Speaker 3: Was that people.
- 1:54:07Speaker 9: On the.
- 1:54:09Speaker 3: The back of the envelope?
- 1:54:10Speaker 6: Yeah, I know, I just think a lot of the
- 1:54:13Speaker 6: guys that have done that path it's it was a
- 1:54:15Speaker 6: usage thing. It wasn't necessarily that they didn't have the
- 1:54:18Speaker 6: raw ability. It's just they were in an offense or
- 1:54:21Speaker 6: in a system that was like quarter up Patterson. Like
- 1:54:23Speaker 6: quarter up Patterson early on was was not was a bust.
- 1:54:26Speaker 6: He was a huge bus first round pick. But then
- 1:54:29Speaker 6: you know he goes actually really here and then in
- 1:54:31Speaker 6: Atlanta even more so, you know he's playing some running back,
- 1:54:34Speaker 6: he's like doing some different things, and they kind of
- 1:54:36Speaker 6: used his versatility, and then he became a decent player.
- 1:54:39Speaker 6: You know, Brishad Perryman another early round pick that was
- 1:54:43Speaker 6: I think more of not that he was ever a
- 1:54:45Speaker 6: Hall of Fame caliber talent, but more of like a
- 1:54:47Speaker 6: usage thing.
- 1:54:48Speaker 4: Yeah, Don Maynard.
- 1:54:51Speaker 3: So Eric molds twenty catches for two seventy nine, his
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: rookie year, twenty nine for ninety four, his third year
- 1:54:57Speaker 3: sixty seven for thirteen hundred and sixty.
- 1:55:00Speaker 7: There it is perfect.
- 1:55:01Speaker 3: Was there a change of quarterback back then or was
- 1:55:03Speaker 3: it always Kelly was the quarter I mean, I don't know.
- 1:55:07Speaker 3: Ninety eight was the breakout year. I don't know if
- 1:55:09Speaker 3: Kelly was still there?
- 1:55:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I.
- 1:55:14Speaker 3: Was after that.
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: For him, it's like injuries and like he looks like
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: he doesn't know what he's doing when he is out there.
- 1:55:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:55:21Speaker 4: I think I think he's got a little bit of
- 1:55:24Speaker 4: the alligator arms. Yeah. I think the injury that he
- 1:55:28Speaker 4: got early, the broken collar bone was it's.
- 1:55:32Speaker 7: And that's what I like about Baker and Polk is
- 1:55:34Speaker 7: like they're like they might not be great, they might
- 1:55:37Speaker 7: not have four to three speed, but like they're gonna
- 1:55:39Speaker 7: be able to play through contact, you know, Like, I mean,
- 1:55:42Speaker 7: that's my hope, But I mean, I've never I never
- 1:55:44Speaker 7: saw Thornton, you know, like I have.
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: No Yeah, but I didn't like I didn't like the
- 1:55:47Speaker 3: Thornton pick when they made it.
- 1:55:48Speaker 6: To be honest, well they made it three rounds too early.
- 1:55:51Speaker 6: They made it in like the fourth round, then it
- 1:55:53Speaker 6: would have been different. But I just think with him,
- 1:55:55Speaker 6: one of the things that I've I learned like from
- 1:55:57Speaker 6: him is that if you can't finished through contact in
- 1:56:01Speaker 6: this league, and you you can't catch the ball or
- 1:56:04Speaker 6: you know, down the field, it's just really difficult because
- 1:56:08Speaker 6: you're not gonna have tons of separation. Every single time
- 1:56:10Speaker 6: you run around, there's gonna be people around you, You're
- 1:56:13Speaker 6: gonna be in traffic, there's gonna be guys hanging all
- 1:56:15Speaker 6: over you. And if you just if you just can't
- 1:56:18Speaker 6: do it, if you can't catch through the contact. And
- 1:56:20Speaker 6: I think that's what they're trying to do with these
- 1:56:21Speaker 6: two guys with Polk and Bakers go in a different
- 1:56:24Speaker 6: direction with it.
- 1:56:26Speaker 4: They say there's college open.
- 1:56:27Speaker 2: And NFL, well, no, and then there's Big twelve open defense.
- 1:56:33Speaker 6: Javon Baker was in the Big twelve, So let's hope
- 1:56:35Speaker 6: and that goes differently.
- 1:56:37Speaker 4: All right, Well, that's going to be it for this
